They’re also spilling their last Google searches, identifying which Culpo is the loose cannon of the family, and divulging which sister gave her significant other a hall pass (plus, how it all unfolded…). Welcome to Off the Vine.
I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow.
This is the part where you introduce your time.
Oh, sorry.
Just making eye contact with me.
Hello?
Not breaking the eye contact.
Hello.
Is it?
Yeah, it's on.
You can actually hear it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, hello.
Good to be here on Off the Vine.
I'm Loe von Rumpf.
I'm so happy to be here.
We're happy to have.
have you. You know who else we have is America's
newest reality TV family.
Goodbye Kardashians. Yeah, and hello
to the culpos. Hey, oh.
They are funny. Yeah. Like, I love
sister dynamics. Like, they have everything from
humor to bitterness and
sister drama, but, like, loving all at the same
time. You can tell they're very comfortable
with each other. Yes. I love it. I can see why they have their own show
after this podcast. Like, this show's not going to
destroy the family. No, no. It's going to bring them
together. It's going to bring them even closer.
I agree. I agree. They are hilarious. They have no boundaries, no filter, like my kind of gals. The fact that at the end, Olivia wanted to go toilet paper trolls houses with me, I'm like, yeah. Soul sister. She gets it. She's been trolled. She understands. Yeah. The Culpo sisters, Aurora, Olivia and Sophia, we had them on the pod and it was a really lovely time. We talked about their new reality show that's coming out. We had a confession. We even brought in their brother for them to have a childhood confession and see his reaction. It did.
disappointed.
Yeah, a little bit.
I was like, he doesn't give a, but it's a funny confession.
Yeah.
But we get into their past relationships, what it's like to have their life be filmed,
how amazing it is to do it all with each other.
Just love a good sister banter, and they had it.
They brought it.
It was cute.
It was just top-notch, so I hope everybody enjoys our little convo with the Culpo sisters.
Yay.
Yay.
like to just be a couple of tens just sitting there looking that good.
You look so good.
We wouldn't know.
Oh, my.
I've got like these big clunky headphones on and I'm so hung over and I'm like in a dude's
shirt and I just feel like ass right now.
So thank you for saying that.
Oh, you pull it off.
Yeah, you're pulling it off.
Oh.
Oh.
Cheers.
Hey, did you say that?
Yes.
Oh, my gosh.
Cheers.
I went to the Dancing with the Stars finale last night.
and we like snuck in a flask of tequila because they don't serve you drinks there.
And then we didn't realize that it was the finale.
So they had like a whole party going on after.
And there was like a DJ in the parking lot and like a whole bar set up and all these things.
And so I don't remember the last time I've ever gone out to like a like a nightclub.
And I was like, no, I'm just going to go back to the hotel.
I'm like, I'll have a drink there.
And everyone convinced me to go because it was all the dancers.
And I was like, okay, whatever.
Let's go dance.
And I was out to like 3.30 in the morning.
I'm like, who am I?
What is going on here?
I'm just, I've clubbed it up last night.
Olivia knows something about that.
She was just in Mexico and she went to my 4 a.m. every night.
Oh, my gosh.
Wait, where in Mexico were you?
Cabo.
You know, you got to go all in.
I know.
My parents have a place in Cabo and every time I go.
And I was just there for a wedding as well, actually.
And like I have like an alter ego when I'm in Mexico and she came out to play.
So it was, it was a good time.
I feel like I do too.
Well, it's just, I don't know, it's the, it's the clothes you pack.
It's like, you just feel, I don't know, it's a quick flight from L.A.
Everything about it, you're just like, let's go all in.
Yeah, that's true.
Except I go from Nashville.
I live in Nashville and it's a far ways away, but it's so worth it.
Every time I love Mexico.
I'm going to Turks and Caicos on Friday, and have you been?
I have.
I think I know where you're saying, the Ammonera, right?
I actually don't know.
somebody it's one of my friends birthdays and everybody booked it and I actually I'm the worst I don't
plan anything I just show up when I know I'm supposed to I don't even know what airline I'm on like I just
somebody tell me where to be a win and I'll show up that day I don't even look at my calendar till the
night before because I don't want to look at my week because it stresses me out so I'll just look
the night before and be like what am I doing tomorrow okay got it flight to LA oh cool cool honestly
I'm kind of similar really yeah in a lot of ways it's like ignorance is bliss otherwise you can
yourself out. Yeah, well, you can't do that when you have kids, though, unfortunately.
Yeah, you got to be, I'm a poor planner and that makes me scared for being a mother because I feel
like I'll, like, forget to pick them up from school. Are you more organized? No. Oh, I have,
I have alarms. Actually, it's probably going to go off. I have an alarm 15 minutes before I'm supposed
to pick up my daughter and my son from school. Like, I picked him at two different time.
And I just said it for every single day of the week, no matter what, just because like if I,
if I try to do something fancy with it, then like, so like all summer it goes off to even though I don't
have to pick them up but it's so annoying we'll be in like brief i'm like you're not there
you know it's like time to take up me but then i text like whoever's around and i'm like don't
forget you talking about an alarm just reminded me i laughed at myself this morning first of all i set
an alarm for 1115 a.m which is bizarre and and this is what i did this is how my drunk brain
worked how you can come in um my co-hosts is here well he's just my best friend that hosts with me when
i'm in l-a but i i'm telling them about how i set an alarm
for waking up this morning
for 11.15 in the morning.
Who sets an alarm for 1115?
I mean...
This is low, by the way.
Hi.
Hi.
I know they're beautiful, aren't they?
And I look at my alarm
when it went off this morning
I was already up for a couple hours
and it says, wake up, bitch.
I was like, that's what I did
at 3.30 in the morning
and I set an alarm that said wake up, bitch.
So funny.
Get your ass up.
Get your ass up.
And I did.
I was already up for two hours.
I was like, you're already up and at them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's nice.
Anyways.
Lowe is one of my best friends
and whenever I'm in L.A. I make him podcast with me
because he's, I'm going to say it. You're really
funny. Okay. Well,
I'm putting you on the spot, but we're...
Appreciate it. Well, I was, I found nice to meet you too. And I was like,
oh my God, the Coupo Queens, I'm on my way.
I know. I'm freaking on the freeway
just driving.
Fifth year.
Like, I gotta get to her. Little sweaty.
Fifth year hair back in the wind, you were on your way.
Amen. I love that. I wouldn't want to miss this for the world.
And I wanted, for my listeners, because it's sometimes when you're
talking to there's a bunch of people in a podcast you're like who's who who's talking so i was
thinking maybe we could just go around like we did in school back in the day and like introduce
ourselves and say one thing we love about ourselves no but just introduce yourself so my listeners
now perfect yeah we do have very similar voices and the same cold right now well oh the same
cold so you have the nasally like sexy thing going on we're a little bit more sultry than we
usually sound but anyway i'm aurora culpo do you need it you want more yeah no that's yeah
A lot. I don't know where to start.
No, that's, just say your name. That's cool.
Okay. I'm Olivia Culpo.
And we have somebody else who's tardy to the party.
Your other sister is, but she's coming, right?
Oh, yes. Sophie should be here. Oh, Sophia.
Sophia. She changed her name. But we don't know where she is. Where is she?
No. Any second. Oh, any second. She will be there.
I love it. And you guys also have two brothers, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, one of them is actually living in Olivia's floor right now, I think.
It looks like he is.
Oh, fun.
Yeah.
Well, he just stays here because his apartment apparently scares him.
Is it haunted?
Probably with all sorts of things.
With roommates and things like that.
Haunted with roommates.
Okay.
So that's nice, though, so you're all just like a really close family.
Yeah.
And is that what made you think?
Like, what made you want to start a reality TV show?
where you like, our family is just like such,
because I love your dynamic.
So I'm imagining like that's what people are going to love
when they tune into your reality show.
But what made you want to start a reality show?
We kind of thought it was like the next logical step
because we are very vulnerable and authentic on our Instagram
where we try to be.
But there's, you know,
there's only so much you can really share from that lens.
We were like, people have chimed in before
and said, you guys are amazing together.
So we want to see more of you together.
and a reality so just gave us that platform to kind of work off of each other more.
Yeah, I feel like if I had, oh, I have six steps sisters.
I should have my own TV show.
Oh, my God.
Like, I am a big personality, and they're all very reserved and like a little more quiet.
So I don't know if that would be entertaining.
But six step sisters and one sister.
Like, so you grow up in all of them?
No.
So it was more later in life.
My parents were weird.
They got a divorce when I was 18.
I'm like, that seems old for me.
That's what my mom is telling me.
Actually, I need to pick your reign a little bit about that.
I mean, we had a different podcast, but my mom's like, you stay together for the kids until
they're 18 and then you can choose yourself.
I'm like, I don't know if that's, well, I think that's a little bit more of like that
generation's way of thinking where we think we can show up as better parents and human beings
when you're like happy and in your true authentic self.
So I'm, I'm with you on this one.
Yeah, rather than like sticking it out.
Yes.
Do you think your parents waited until you were 18?
to be like we're doing the right thing yeah and I'm like but I just then I just saw you not happy
for all those actually they were pretty cute I don't understand I still root for them they're like
they're like parent trap yeah I want a parent trap them and when they're in the same room
because they get along really well too so they're still friends and whenever they're in the same room
I'm like do is there any spark like do mom do you like dad like more than a friend is there anything
there like we're married and happy now oh my gosh a little baby
Look at the doggie.
I have two dogs.
I'm obsessed with dogs.
Oh my gosh.
Oliver.
How old is Oliver?
He's two.
Two?
Oh.
I have two golden retrievers and I'm obsessed with them.
Of golden retrievers.
They're so smart.
They like accidentally got one because my parents usually, they would kind of always go
for like a mud or something that like wasn't that good looking.
I don't know.
They felt bad for it.
And then we just-
German Shepherds.
I don't know.
German shepherds are so smart.
German shepherds are badass.
Yeah. There are some that they're kind of important.
Look, you know what I mean.
The hair was powerless.
I mean.
Yeah.
I feel like Lowe likes those dogs.
Oh, yeah, the world's ugliest dog.
Sign me up.
I love, I didn't even know this, but like, I love pugs.
It's my thing.
I love them.
They're so cute.
Yeah, pugs are so cute.
But I didn't realize, like, it's a very particular type of person who likes a pug.
Like, it's not everybody's cup of tea.
And I get that.
Have that breathing thing.
Sure.
Yeah, I think.
I'm triggered by snoring noises, though.
Like, I don't know, my fiance snores and I get like a rage that comes over my body
where I'm actually angry and I'm like, is this a me problem?
I think it might be.
It's so true.
But you want to know the funniest thing, my ex, well, when we were in our prime of just loving
each other, when he's, I wanted to murder him too.
Like, it doesn't really matter.
Then when you have your own, like, baby and the baby snores, it's different.
Oh, that's for sure.
You can sleep when you're.
kid's snoring, but not when, like, anybody else is snoring.
It's unacceptable.
My dog sleeps on my head and snores.
Oh, no.
Yeah, that's adorable.
It's blocking their nose.
Like, when our brother Gus snores, I just block his nose.
And then he, like, kind of, like, chokes for a minute and then he stops.
Yeah.
That's what I do, too.
Except I'm too tired to, like, even, I'm like, you're making me work in the middle of the night
to plug your nose.
So I just kick him.
God, brutal.
No, I went and stayed with her for a bit.
And I loved it because we would watch movies on the couch.
And Jason would start snoring.
And I had recently lost my pug.
Rest in peace, Little Dookie.
And I had him for 14 years, this little beacon of hope.
And so Little Dokey, because he liked shit everywhere.
And so anyway, I was sleeping on the couch.
And Jason, I was in like deep REM cycle.
And Jason's just snoring.
And I was like, oh, my God, little dooky lives in you.
I thought it was Dooky with me.
And I was like, oh, this is the best.
She's like, are you enjoying this?
And I was like trying to do a voice.
of a snore because I was like, it's like my dog.
It's like your white noise to fall asleep.
It's very peaceful for me.
That is so cute.
Yeah.
14 years of snores.
So now I'm so used to it.
And Jason snores like a really cute elderly pug.
He snores like this.
Like he's choking.
Like he's like, I don't love it.
I don't know.
Anyways, back to your family and your show.
I want to know what you think like the peaks and valleys of filming a show with your family
is because I thought about doing this.
We had a whole concept.
Remember?
I'm from a very small town.
Canada. And so we thought it would be funny to film a reality show with my family where we go
back to Leduc, Alberta, and we like, we bring in touch with your roots. Yeah, we just do this.
But I couldn't. Like the simple life. But I couldn't imagine my family doing a reality show because
they're, I don't know. I just maybe they haven't been like in the spotlight. So I'm sure there's
peaks and valleys to filming with your family. What would those be for you? Well, we didn't,
we could not imagine our parents on a reality show either. Like we still can't. And I, it's hard.
but the fun part is that it's just comedy like it's just really there's you guys have a funny family
happening through the entire thing the whole time yeah and I think another peak is like if everybody
else in the world hates you which like at times it really does feel like that because people on
social media are so horrible and ruthless yeah if they do hate you like there's no rock bottom
because at least we have each other so like having each other the insulation of each other was
a peak for me too that's nice and then I would say about
is, I don't know, the valley doesn't really have anything to do with working with each other.
It more just has to do with the fear of being judged and hated.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, let's just a little bit of that.
But also, we had to, like, really hash out our problems with each other.
Like, we couldn't just, like, rush things under the rug like we usually do because we're
like, you know, when you're making a show, like, you kind of need to, like, tie things up a
little bit to get some closure for a scene.
and we're like, oh, have to talk about that again?
Like, I guess that was hard, like, having to, to, like, face your problems head on instead
of just, like, numbing them in other ways.
Like, alcohol.
Yeah.
Like all the things I'm doing right now.
That's, but that's kind of cool because it's, like, therapy within itself, but you don't even
realize that you, like, have to face these challenges head on with each other and then get over it
because your family.
Totally.
Or not.
Families divide all the time.
That's true.
And we want the best over here for.
your beautiful family.
But I'm just curious, like, with you guys, your family situation.
The third sister is here.
Yay.
Her queen has entered the chat.
Get out.
You're late.
The most important has arrived.
There she is.
I really hope that you had a good excuse for your tardiness.
Well, and you missed everything from this morning.
How come you drove from Rhode Island City this morning?
It would take an entire episode on this podcast to explain the last 42 hours, but I will
spare you all.
Did you cry?
Were there tears?
Because if not,
did you?
Yesterday was a bit of a meltdown.
I think I had my first panic attack yesterday, but not for a different.
If you cried, then I'll forgive you.
But if you didn't, then I would just say you're selfish.
Yeah.
Do you see what I look like at the moment?
Oh, project.
You look beautiful.
Beautiful.
Yeah.
Yeah, 90 supermodel vibes.
You look like what I would like to look like on a good day.
And this is you just naturally.
Kate Moss 97.
Yeah, Kate Moss 97.
Calvin Klein.
There she is.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
It's true. Thanks, guys. Where were you yesterday? I needed you all to hype me up.
I would have been there for you if you wanted. I'm a good hype girl. We were just talking about peaks and valleys of filming with your family. But I was thinking, oh, we were talking about, oh, therapy. I had a therapist on my podcast that came out, I think, today. And we were talking about boundaries with your family around the holidays. What does the, what do the holidays look like for your family? Yeah, like, I'm curious. Do you guys have a lot of drama in your family? Or because you guys feel like very peaceful.
Yeah, you feel sweet.
nice energy around you guys.
And so does it get a bit spicy, though?
We are always fighting.
It's a spicy Christmas?
There's nothing super, like, there's nothing that's super detrimental.
I mean, people have always made comments about how, how surprised they are to see how quickly
we rebound when, like, something really, I guess, to other people seems shockingly mean
when we say to each other.
And then, like, we just bounce, we bounce back.
Yeah.
So there's definitely, there's no filter ever.
We're constantly bickering and constantly fighting.
Some fights between certain people are more heated at other times, but there will be blowouts.
There will be some, there will be blood.
That's fun, though.
I can't wait to see.
And TLC, I'm like, I picture TLC like my 600 pound life or like the say yes to the dress.
Sister wives.
Sister wives.
Who did we?
I feel like, well, some of those characters were like,
We got them on our show.
Like that one guy with all the wives.
Cody.
She would be great in the second season.
Like I just gave him real quick.
I want to be his seventh wife.
We were just as surprise as you, honestly.
We're still finding our place there.
But I like it because maybe TLC's rebranding and they want like a little like spicy Christmas.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah, I don't know.
I feel like once again, I don't know.
I think that we all just kind of like held hands and jumped in feet first and
we're just happy to be here.
Was everybody on board with doing it?
Like mom, dad, like was everybody involved in the project?
Like, okay, we're doing it or did it take some convincing?
Everybody was pretty into it from the beginning.
Oh, that's awesome.
Yeah, they're very open-minded.
I think that they were excited about us to all, about the opportunity for all of us
to do something with each other.
Yeah. Oh, it's, it's really putting yourself out there because some family members I have are loose cannons. Some of the shit they say. I'm like, um, you know, we had to need. She's right here.
She's right here. There's our loose cannon just wheeled in for the late into the episode. Is our mom behind you? Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, no. No. What? Oh. Our mom is the one. Our mom, we had to like ban from Facebook. We had her go to like every static broke. In the last like five years, we're like, you need to delete.
everything you've ever written about anything.
You need to rebrand him.
She's like that mom.
That's her profile.
You erase it?
And Vlad was really bad.
We had to media train him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I get it.
Well, and too,
generationally,
like some of the things that,
like, my dad will say,
I'm like, whoa.
Yeah, you can't drop that bomb.
Yeah.
That's really heavy.
Well, that's the beauty of editing, though.
Like, do you have creative control
over what your show is like?
Like, are you producers,
or do you, like, have things that you have control over?
We are executive producers,
but we have no control
for any way.
That doesn't mean much.
Oh, well, shoot.
Okay, are there things
that you're worried about airing?
No, because I think it's in everyone's best interest
that our parents are not.
We trusted the people that we worked at.
We selected the team
specifically, you know, based on that.
Oh, that's...
The thing is, I think, like,
whenever something goes out into the public,
it's always going to be manipulated
in a salacious way, no matter what it is.
and you never know what, like, people are going to put something in or see something
and or manipulate it to be put into.
So there's always that, no matter what you're putting out there.
So how things will be interpreted is always kind of a question mark for me.
It's crazy how people can spin certain things.
Yeah.
Oh.
That's just it.
I've seen it.
Well, with my own clients, I see it all the time.
I work as a stylist.
Hi, fashion stylist here, full-time podcast hosts and the afternoons here.
But I've seen what my clients have gone through and something so.
innocent that they could say something so that is there's no venom there's nothing malicious at all
and it could turn into like oh this person is a misogynist or a racist or you know this person
hates the gays or whatever like oh my god like you know i swear she doesn't sarcasm does not read
on print i mean i feel like i'm very sarcastic and very dry and it's like that's not like
that that was not my voice the way that people things can be written oh so i get that i
I feel I'm very sarcastic and have dry humor, and I've gone through so many nightmares where reading it back, I'm like, oh, shit, that sounds terrible when you just read it.
Like, you have to hear the tone.
The delivery.
The delivery is everything.
My gosh.
So this holiday season, we want to give the people in our lives the gifts that will bring them true, true joy.
And seriously, what few things in life bring more joy than fresh from the oven melt in your mouth cookies.
My mouth is genuinely watering, just thinking about these cookies.
They have all the cookies and more from Mrs. Fields.
I can pretty much guarantee you will be everyone's favorite gift giver this season if you're giving them something from Mrs. Fields.
In the past, I've truly been a huge fan of their nibblers, which are the most delicious bite-sized cookies.
Seriously, they're so good.
And they have so many good gifts to the holidays that I'll definitely be sending out, but mostly to people who I will be around physically so that I can just help myself to some of those gifts.
They have a snowman cookie tower, a winter wonderland crate, a gingerbread house box, and pretty much anything you could dream of, plus their classic flavors like chocolate chip, salted caramel, and you really just can't go wrong with anything that you get from Mrs. Fields. without because sometimes when the cameras are on I turn it on or I'm like trying to be entertaining or whatever but how do you stay true to yourself when you're being filmed that often is it just like start becoming natural because they're just all the cameras are always there yeah I've always felt very grounded by my family so that's always where I'm going to be the most authentic version of myself if I'm in an uncomfortable situation or I feel like I'm around people that I have to like impress or I know what you mean by having to be on but I I never feel like that with
my family. And I'm sure you guys
don't really either. Actually, that's
a good point. When you're
surrounded by people that ground you or
when you're with family where you actually
can be your true self, it just makes it
easier because you're with them.
That's nice. Yeah.
You don't have to be like on. You don't have to impress
them. It's like, I like
you. I'm not going to put it on
the show for you.
If anything, it's like a little glimpse into
you guys, like the real
purest form of like, this is you.
like because you I mean you have however many years with this family since birth and so it is your most authentic self so it's almost like you remove the velvet curtain behind and get to see like oh I think that's why people are so invested in fighting with her mom but I think that's why people are so invested in watching families on reality shows like there's so many shows out there that we love to watch Kardashians the demilios like all these people like how glamorous the Kardashian life is but it's a shit show behind closed store
You know what I mean?
In the best way.
But it feels relatable.
In the most pure, authentic way, I'm like, wow.
You know, it's intense.
And I kind of, I love it.
I love seeing families dynamics and how, like, how you always just have each other when
you realize that nothing else matters when you have a really solid family, which you obviously
do.
And I always, I feel like everybody in your family from what I know in this short period of time.
But I feel like you guys are like open books and it would be hard to embarrass you.
Has anything happened super embarrassing on the show
where you're like, how do we recover from this?
Oh, God.
I think, like family meeting.
The whole thing.
90% of it.
Honestly, it's usually one of us, like, making a comment
about the other person that.
Honestly, I think it's just so not,
we've had a few slips where it's like,
it's not really PC Aurora.
Oh, yeah.
I don't think anything's really amazing.
it all that got cut though just like anything that I said like you know jokes that just don't land
in this current climate things like that that's fair enough that's fair enough what's the best
part about sharing stories with people who are watching because for me watching families and sisters
and I obviously have sisters so I feel that dynamic but what's the best part about sharing your
stories and what people are going to experience when they're on their couches at home watching this
that is a good question it's so hard to say because like things can things can things
are manipulated so not manipulated but like it's hard to say like sometimes you don't realize like
there are so many things that I read that I remember filming and I remember saying and thinking
afterwards like oh my God I just really hope that people like understand what I'm saying and
I hope that this makes sense when it comes onto the screen and when it's all edited together
because you know you always fear that things can be that they could be manipulated in a bad
way and I feel like when I've sat down and watched things back um it's not necessarily
exactly how I remembered it in the moment,
but it registers in a different way
almost. I don't know. It's, I don't think I just
made sense. But I think I got the questions after
that, right?
Okay, why don't you
do with this one? It's silent.
I don't know silent. This is what it's like being
the youngest. I try to speak and somebody
just takes on over me. I feel
you. I'm the youngest. I feel you.
Yeah, like, even if I wanted
to say something, one of you would have come
me off.
With everything that's
set on the show like drama or anything that could happen like here's the thing you guys are
beautiful coins successful tight-knit family so with that blessings over here but also
targets on your back when it comes to there's something about society and culture i've noticed and i'm
sure you guys see this too when someone is doing well like as much as we love a come-up story we
love to see people fall why is that yeah i hate it it's like like we like to see the demise of someone
and then we build them up again and you see with all public figures from influencers
musicians, whatever.
And so I'm almost thinking when it comes to social media, do you almost have to, like,
turn off, like, like, don't look at the comments.
Like, do you guys remove yourself from, like, see any of that so that you can almost stay
in, like, a healthy place?
Or do you just embrace it, read it, and just, like, who cares?
Like, don't let it affect you.
Because I know, no matter what, people will always come for you in some sort of a way,
no matter what you say.
And it's just like, that's part of just putting yourself out there.
But how do you handle that specifically with social media?
The new stuff, it is what it is.
But, like, you're seeing it on your phone, social media, like, in the comment section or whatever.
Like, how do you guys deal with that shit?
It's a lot of work of, see?
I knew it.
She's on her phone when I can tell.
I can't hear her.
It's okay.
Yes.
Okay.
Thank you.
You can't hear me?
There's a delay.
There's a little delay.
There's a delay for you, too, sweetie.
See, I would like to.
It's always like, anyway, what I was saying, you have to have really thick skin and also you cannot read the comments.
You can't read the comments and the climate that we're in and just social media and the way that, unfortunately, people treat each other nowadays.
If you do have a following or if you're in a, if you're a celebrity, like, you just have to know that you are signing up for negative comments and for people to try and tear you down.
But I always remind myself, people are 10 times more likely to write a negative comment than a good one.
And it's sad, but that's true.
That is true.
I always say the hate is so much louder than the love.
Yes, exactly.
Yeah, that's, and I feel like everybody deals with it different.
Like, I always say it depends on where I'm at in my cycle, but sometimes I read comments and I like cry and then other times I laugh and other times I'm like, yes, I'm like so upset.
And then other times I'm like, yes, I'm still relevant.
Bring on the hate.
Honestly, it's like sometimes you just have that like kind of like all press is good press.
like if people care that much that they want on their computer they found you they wrote this comment
they're watching the show like okay well thank you so much for viewing and for having such a strong
opinion and i'm so touched that i meant that much to you yes i honestly think too i was just thinking
about this this morning and trying to work through it because it is a lot of work it's a lot of work
unless you just avoid it completely which is very hard these days on social media because everybody
is a troll and they're everywhere but you have to do the work and i think i totally agree with you
Sometimes I don't care. Sometimes it really makes me upset. And I feel like it's the moments that you can, that you're rooted in truth. Like when you really know who you are, why you're here, what you're doing. That's when you're feeling the most confident. That's when you're usually like doing the work on yourself to get to that place. That's why you have to just try to re-centure yourself in whatever way feels good to you. But it is so strange how sometimes it hits you harder than other times. And I also want to add that it's not only just people who do what we do. Like I'm sure there's so many people listening right now. It's like social.
media is toxic for everyone it's not just people with shows and platforms and whatnot it's really
it's not toxic if social media is not toxic it can be toxic if you're letting it you have to be
protective of what you let in and it's true that you that if you're not in a place of being grounded
and and being very secure and confident and know exactly what you're you're doing in your goal is
then you're super susceptible to any kind of negative input, you know?
So I just feel like you have to be careful.
If you know that you're feeling sensitive, don't read the comments that day.
That's what I do.
I honestly, when I'm in my moods, I just like, I'm like, this is when I avoid.
But yeah, you said something about confidence and it made me think of something that I
really wanted to talk to you about because I want your confidence.
First of all, please correct me if I'm wrong, but did you have to navigate a divorce while
filming.
Yes.
It all like went down right when we started filming.
So bless you for that and for sharing because a lot of people will, you know, be able to relate
and feel something when they watch it and feel less alone.
But you, when you were married, gave your husband a hall pass for a full year.
And that, I'm like, I wish I had the confidence to do that.
What, how do you do that?
Well, that's what I, that's, see, this is the problem.
I thought it was confidence.
And I thought I was like the cool girl because for me, like,
sex is sex it doesn't really like I don't really I wasn't threatened by him like having sex with
somebody else like that actual act because I felt that we what we had was so special and that like
this was if this was something that like a man just needs because it's like part of their instinct
of like spreading their seed farm I don't know like some biological instinct I was like okay
I don't understand it but if this is something that you need because in my experience they're
going to do it one way or another regardless so it's like I might as well just
given the path so that now there's no lying.
I mean, honestly, I don't think there's anything objectively wrong with like an open
relationship if that works for you and your partner.
What I ended up finding out is that it actually doesn't work for me.
Not anymore.
I don't know if it would have back then, but it doesn't work for me now, not that,
not in the current state that our relationship has become.
And so basically I was like, okay, well, the 25-year-old that made that choice is not
who I am anymore. And so this needs to be edited. And that's pretty much what happened.
Yeah. I like that. Was that the catalyst for the divorce? Like that on what was filmed?
It wasn't. It was. I mean, definitely didn't help things. But it really wasn't. We stayed together for like
another year after that. We did therapy. And we basically had just like we had just outgrown each other.
I believe in sole contracts. Like I believe that it's actually irresponsible to stay with somebody that you know that
you no longer have anything to learn from.
I don't know.
That's how I feel about it.
And I think it's difficult because people fear being alone or they fear change or they fear
the repercussions it's going to have on their kids.
But I do feel that like ultimately when you're making the choice out of love and out of like
confidence and security and that everything's going to be okay.
I love that way of thinking because I do believe in the sole contracts.
But I love that way of thinking because I think, you know, society has put
this blueprint on life of what it should look like.
And it's like, I know we're like getting out of it a bit in our society, but still,
or our generation, but still like it's like you, it's like a, you go to school.
You get your education.
You get your job.
You get married.
You have kids.
Like it's such a blueprint that we're all trying to follow.
So if you go outside of that box, it's like, how dare you?
So you have this fear around being judged and everything else that comes along with it because
that's always seemed so safe to people to just go with the blueprint.
but really it's a miserable way to live if you ask me.
Yeah, I mean, I guess it can work for some people,
but I guess it's just the knowing about when it's not working anymore for you,
when it's not serving and when it's actually causing more harm than good,
and being able to recognize that for yourself without listening to, you know,
what everybody else is telling you.
Yeah.
And I think I also feel like you develop confidence in realizing that this isn't what I want anymore.
and I know I deserve better.
She's always so conceit because she doesn't want to upset, like, she wants to honor.
It's not that I know I deserve better because, like, I think it, polycomy works for people.
Yeah, I mean, haven't you guys seen it?
I don't know, actually, I don't know.
It doesn't work for that.
Sister wives imploded.
The relationship.
It works.
But for some people, sure.
Or an open relationship.
I know people who are in happy, open relationships.
So it's not that.
It's just knowing when it doesn't work for you anymore and being okay with it being like,
I changed my mind.
isn't it so interesting too i feel like and this is from experience when i've let those relationships
go how everything kind of like starts aligning with you in the universe and what you're supposed to be
doing like everything falls into place and you're like oh how you know yeah that's how i always feel
like when you when you take that step in the right direction like the universe meets you halfway
and that's how you know that like you're you're doing the right thing it's just those little
subtle cues you really have to be in tune and you can't be on the internet reading comments because
That's going to throw you off your gate.
No, don't read comments.
Go talk to the moon and journal.
That's what I do.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, what's that phrase?
You have to get uncomfortable so you can actually get comfortable in life.
Yeah.
And all of these uncomfortable decisions leaving the love of your life or a soulmate connection
or something like that or job change or putting yourself on a television show for the world to see scary,
uncomfortable things, but comfort in the long run.
But comfort in the long run.
I think that's really nice.
That's a good way to put that.
Yeah.
It's a risk.
It's a risk.
And if nothing else is taking a chance on yourself.
That's like, I don't think there's, you can ever go wrong with that.
That's true.
You can't.
Yeah, you literally can't go wrong with that.

I wanted to ask also because I just when I do research I find out so many fascinating things about people and I'm like wow I need to hear more
was it Sophia did you have a crush on Nick Jonas and then Olivia dated him is that what happened
do we hate talking about this because we can skip right over this too soon I'm really like not embarrassed by that
in the slightest just because
I mean, Jonas Brothers was
smacked out in my generation. Like I was a Joe Bro
fan. I happened to be a Nick fan
and then I can stay with
confidence. It was fully over when they started
dating. It was more
very weird
as like a 10 or 11
year old like the
first like celebrity
like a celebrity boy crush you had is like
now sleeping down the hall in your sister's room.
That's just weird. I was
trying to imagine what that would look like because like
I had a full crush on Zach from the Hanson brothers, but you're probably maybe too young for
the Hanson brothers.
But I was obsessed.
I loved them.
And it was my password.
Like, Zach, I love Zach was like my password.
Yeah.
And so I'm like, imagine that was your celebrity crush, your boyfriend crush where you're like
die hard for boy bands when you're that age too.
And to have them dating your sister, I would freak out.
So that's impressive that you went the other way and you're like, I'm over it.
You're like, he has terrible taste.
I'm not a tear.
Yeah, what's true for you?
There's still like the tear in the wallpaper in my bedroom
because I have the same wallpaper from a poster of his face
that was like that I taped and then took it down.
There's still like the rip in my wallpaper from that, from his poster.
Wait, that is amazing.
Like he's on his way.
Like ripping it down.
No, literally.
That's amazing.
And Aurora, you started a podcast or are you starting one?
Have you started it yet?
We are just starting it.
So I'm like, my manager's over there.
I'm like waiting for her to kick me or something because I'm not, I don't know what
I'm supposed to say yet.
But I am hosting a podcast with a dear friend of mine.
She's making fun of me because my mom uses my dear friend.
So, yeah, but it's going to be, it's going to be amazing.
And I hope that you'll come on our podcast.
Oh my gosh.
I would love to.
I would absolutely love to.
What kind of stuff are you going to talk about?
Just all the things you shouldn't talk about.
about, like, she's the mom, too.
So we're going to talk a lot about relationships, sex, being a bad mom, being a good mom,
you know, mom trolls, a lot of mom stuff, but not, it's not going to be like a total,
it's not going to be only mom.
Well, if you're, if you're going to talk about sex and relationships, sign me up.
I was labeled as the most controversial bachelorette because I had sex.
I was like, but doesn't love that.
It's like, what did you think everyone else was doing when the cameras went away?
It's like, you were just showing it.
I was so confused.
So she had an orgy.
Who cares?
Gosh, you have one orgy, and all of some, you're controversial.
I mean, isn't it so annoyingly double standard between men and women?
Oh, it's just saying.
Oh, it's disgusting.
It really is.
Like, if a guy has sex with a bunch of girls, he's the best ever.
If a girl that you're a whore, like, really?
Oh, he's a cat.
Oh, yeah.
No, it's actually so apparent from that show, too, because you think you've come so far
in, like, with women's rights or certain things, and then you watch something like the Bachelorette.
and like see the online hate and you're like oh wow no we still have a very long way to go
right and it's like and a hater is like a proclaimed feminist too yeah always every time it is a
Christian mother who like wants to preach like they have a Bible verse in the bio every time
every single time it's it's I was actually laughing about this last night when I was at dancing
with the stars because a couple other bachelorette were there and we were talking about
just how much hate the show gets or women get from the
the show and I was like no if anyone wants to feel better remember oh it's my favorite I'm like just
go back and watch on the men tell all on my season Chris Harrison sitting there reading mean tweets
that came in to me just to like show what the bullying was like what was going on but can you
preface it by saying first the reason why that even came up is because we were watching that
scenario play out with a male bachelor yeah and they were like I can't believe how mean they're
being to this guy there's some like really aggressive tweets towards this guy and they're reading
And I said, hold my fucking beer.
Yeah, Caitlin's like, wait until you see what they said to me.
And I thought this was like a skit, like an S&L skit.
Yeah, like a Jimmy Kimmel, like read mean tweets.
Yes, like it was supposed to be, because it was so over the top.
But the things they were saying.
Chris Harrison, I'll never forget him reading.
They had it like blown up on a screen.
And it was like, shut your whore legs, Caitlin and go find a dumpster.
And I was like, oh, shit.
Yeah, Caitlin, Bruce said, come dumpster, burn in hell.
I was like, wow.
I want to hear him reading that out loud.
Dude, I'll send you a link.
It's, at the time, like, I can, I actually watch it back as a skit now.
Like, it is hilarious.
But at the time, I was, like, crying and, like, people in the audience were, like, gasping.
And now I look back and I'm like, that is so funny.
Just imagine sitting up there in her little freaking cocktail dress.
And just with all this, whore mouth, she should burn in hell.
And I was just like, is this really happening?
No, somebody went as far as to, um,
Photoshop me, like, burning in a dumpster.
Like, it was...
Like, can you imagine?
Who are people?
You see, it's like, at Lovon-Rumpf, like, sorry, Queen.
Tell me how to get into heaven, mister, because you, photoshopping me burning in a dumpster,
you know the way.
Oh, my gosh.
It's just, it's...
I probably that we can laugh about it, though, because it was just insane how...
The double standard of it all.
Yeah, it's...
Yeah, it was, it's really...
It's really something special.
I do want to get to the part of the podcast where we share confessions.
I always put low on the spot because he's had the best confessions.
Oh, God, speaking of dumpster fires.
He's had his fair share, and it's really, I think he's just put it all out there.
But I want to hear confessions from your side.
But, Sophia, I heard you have a confession that involves your brother, Gus, and we have him here.
He's here.
Yeah, why do you think he's there?
Oh, he's there.
I thought he's going to come in on the Zoom.
Yeah, he's there.
Yes, come here.
Because Sophia has to get something off her chest.
Oh, no.
He really gets here.
This is like Jerry Springer.
You are the father.
Jerry.
I think Olivia might know what it is.
Olivia might really know.
But I actually think it's, it was well deserved.
He deserved this.
full like fully okay i'm excited hi guess so i was probably in 16 i would say and i was backing out of
the driveway in my mom's car and i hit the basketball hoop and i like fully dented in the door
gus took the car right after and went somewhere and then drives home my mom comes out and
sees the door and she's like you ruined my car and to this day they all think it's got but it's
it was me, I just didn't
caught.
You horrible, are you okay?
Are you okay, Gus?
Gus needs a hug over there.
It doesn't know what happened.
It didn't hit anything.
It must have been someone when I parked and they didn't leave a note.
I was like, must have been that.
You're right.
Yep.
That's what, do you remember this, Gus?
I honestly don't.
I really don't.
I think I've dented so many cars, I guess.
That just blends right in.
Work through it in therapy.
Yeah.
It was easy to pin up.
on him because he had dented some priors, but it
was good. Has anyone here ever watched
the movie? What's that David Spade and
Chris Farley? Joe Dirt. No.
That guy in a little coat. Yes.
That one. What? Is that Top Gun? Blacksheet? No.
Offgun? No, Top Gun. No, I don't know. I forget.
Tommy Boy. Tommy Boy. Tommy Boy. That's like a scene
out of that movie where he
he like broke the car door
and then he like put it back on so that
when Chris Farley got out he went
what'd you do? And it was his fault
that's that story but I was hoping
Gus was going to be like I've been in therapy
about that like that was a real problem for me
and he was like I don't even remember
yeah he was so traumatized
yeah really I don't remember
way to raise the six buddy
I was like in season two with that
yeah
Yeah, you know how to make headlights. Come on.
We're going to flip over the table.
Okay, well, does anyone have one to, like, one up that in the family?
Like, any other confessions that come to mine?
Um, I don't know.
I think probably mine was just, like, pretty gross.
It's like, so I came to my daughter's diaper in my, in the trunk, and it was like,
like, a number two diaper, but there wasn't any trash cans around anywhere.
So I was like, okay, I'm just going to, I'll just keep hearing, like, I'm almost home.
Like, I'll throw it away when I get there.
Oh, no.
So I had it in the trunk.
And then I forgot to throw it out.
And the next, like, it was in there for, like, a week.
And everybody who got in the car, like, thought it was me that I was just, like, farting, like, in the car.
And I'm like, no, I don't, like, I couldn't remember.
I touched mom brain.
Like, like, a lack of sleep.
And I'm like, no, I don't, like, I don't know what that smell is.
And, like, I ended up finding it, like, poopie diaper in the trunk, like, a week later.
And it was just really bad for my reputation.
I lost friends.
And my car says, I lost friends.
That's a good confession, actually.
Olivia, do you have one?
Okay, so the first time, one of the first times I met my boyfriend's family.
It was during the pandemic.
So we flew to Colorado.
I didn't realize that I was going to end up there for 90 days.
Anyway, I completely blacked out because I was so nervous to meet them and I threw up all over their bathroom.
Oh, you didn't even hit the actual toilet.
Like, this was just...
Don't cut Sophia off.
Okay.
Oh, so big for there.
Thank you so much.
I was here for this.
And when I tell you, I was mortified and I was like, I, first of all, it was already a weird situation that I was like in my sister's boyfriend's family's home, let alone my sister's blacked out.
So I'm the one carrying all the conversations here, like trying to make up for her for playing a game.
She can't even keep the rules straight because she's so drunk.
That was, I'm surprised.
That was like Rule 101.
You meet the parents.
You don't get blacked out.
Okay, well, first, Colorado, the altitude was really high.
And so I was scared.
It was the beginning of the pandemic.
I was scared.
And three, I was also scared because I was scared of them.
So it's COVID's fault.
Obviously, she's blaming it on COVID.
I was scared of them.
I blame the altitude, even when I'm not in an altitude, like state.
Like, I'll be like, people like, you got so drunk last time.
I'm like, the altitude.
I'm like, the altitude, COVID, global warming.
The thing about that is it's not much of a confession because everybody knew I was blacked out,
except for me, apparently, because I kept going.
But Olivia Jones was like, it's worse than any other kind.
She just is like, the IQ plummet so quickly.
Like, I've never met anybody.
He also loses all intelligence.
So we brought, like, a board game.
And she could not keep the, she couldn't keep the simple, something as simple as like,
It was so bad.
You know, more.
That sounds fun, actually.
I would do a board game drunk with you.
Yeah, I know.
I'm trying to think if, obviously, I try and confess every week on my podcast.
And it's like, I've been doing this for five years.
I'm like, everything's out there.
I'm just starting to do weird shit to myself and friends just so I have something.
I do that, too.
Like, I almost peed my pants the other day just to have a confession on the podcast.
Yeah.
I want to take a shit in your bed just so I can have something.
That was the last thing you looked up on Reddit.
I feel like that's a good question.
Okay, I'll tell you that everyone that listens to my podcast knows this.
I've actually never read an article on Reddit.
It's a nasty, nasty rabbit hole.
And I've never, I just don't go there.
So I have my team read Reddit articles for me just in case people are like saying things that I need to like address.
But I refuse.
But I'll tell you what I Googled last.
Maybe that's interesting.
Oh, I'll do that too.
That's fair.
Let's all, what did we Google last?
I already know what mine is.
It's, is Yolanda Saldivore.
Oh, my God.
I know what mine is too.
That's what I looked up.
What?
I wanted to find out.
The last thing I googled was, is Yolanda Saldivar dead yet?
Oh.
Yeah.
I was hoping that she was dead.
Here's the thing.
That.
Yeah, I call you yet.
Well, no, I feel like they would let this one slide because Yolanda Saldivar killed
Selena cantonia, shot her in the back, president of her fan club.
I'm a big Selena fan.
I'm Latino.
Love her.
Yeah.
And so Selena was shot by Yolanda.
She's in prison, out for parole.
I'm hoping she gets murdered.
I think the world would celebrate
by Yolanda
Yeah, because she's already been in there for over 20-something years
And so hopefully she stays in because I feel like a lot of people want her dead
I just saw the Chrisleys went to
That's what I googled actually the Chrisleys are going to jail
So that was mine is Yolanda dead yet
My Google is best walk-up songs
Because I was trying to think of what my walk-up song
If I entered a room and it was not
The search wasn't good though
But it was like thunderstruck
I'm like like your wedding or just
for like if you were to carry a boom box or something.
Yeah, like you know, you know, which I would do.
A walk-up song?
Like, is that just for like your wedding, right?
That's baseball players do it.
They pick their walkout song when they go up to bat.
And I was thinking.
Where you walking to, though?
Anyway.
Just like into a room, into a room, I guess.
I was thinking of what my walk-in song.
It was last night with the dance to do with the stars crew.
You want to go out of the country.
I requested to the DJ to play Ice Cube,
nah, no, no, baby, when I walk into the club.
That's what I, that's really.
really what I was doing.
But I thought my Google search would be worse since I was up at 3.30 in the morning
drunk last night.
But that's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
Yeah.
That's not bad.
What did you?
What about you?
Wait, is it Sophie or Sophia?
Sophia.
Let's Google it.
It is Sophia.
That is my name.
But it kind of just, it's everything and anything at this point because my sisters
refuse to call me Sophia.
So it's Sophie to them.
You can call me whatever you want.
Okay.
Because sometimes people are like particularly.
Like, I remember asking my fiance, I was like, or his brother, his name is Stephen,
and everyone was calling him Steve.
And I was like, do you like being called Steve?
He's like, thank you for asking.
I actually prefer Stephen.
So I always like to ask.
Well, I do prefer Sophia, but they just don't respect that.
I'm going to respect it.
I'm going to respect it.
Olivia, what did you Google over there?
Oh, she can't.
This is actually so stupid, claustrophobic celebrities because I recently have discovered that I'm claustrophobic.
Yeah.
I mean, that's a, that comes with age, weirdly.
Isn't that bizarre?
And I look at the list.
It's a lot of people actually.
Justin Bieber.
It says Uma Thurman, Lena Dunham, Woody Allen, Harris, Teltus.
Yeah.
So I felt less a little.
These are all people who wanted to bring their dog on an airplane and just filled
that on on a piece of paper.
That's a thousand percent what I did.
I was like, service animal because claustrophobia.
And I was like, no, just.
I didn't say claustrophobia, but I was like, I have panic attacks.
some plane, which I had one once and it was the scariest thing of my life, but ever since I
had a panic attack on a plane is when I started being claustrophobic. I was like, oh God, is that what
it is? And then I've like trained my brain to think I'm claustrophobic now. We're literally like
kind of the same. Yeah. Is that what happened to you that like triggered that for you, the whole
claustrophobic thing? No, actually, I've just always been really scared of elevators in small
bathrooms, like airplane bathrooms, specifically actually. Like I'm genuinely scared of them. And I started
to realize that I was like starting to get like little mini panic attacks and I thought about it
and I looked it up and I realized oh my god I'm claustrophic. That's well teas and peas. Like in the
Europe getting stuck somewhere forever. I get that. Oh, I hate elevators. Elevators scare the shit out
of me. Um, we have to wrap this up, but I have really enjoyed talking to you ladies. It's I'm like,
now I get why you have a show. I'm like, I will be tuning in. I'll listen to your podcast. I will buy your

dumpster pictures of you
