You're listening to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow. Hey everybody, welcome to Off the Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow. Now, what actually happens when we die? A question we all want to know. Teresa Caputo is here to tell us her beliefs. I always want to know if our loved ones really send us signs, if Spirit keeps their personalities, the biggest misconceptions about mediumship. And after spending more than 20 years helping people through unimaginable loss,
Starting point is 00:01:07 what grief has taught her about living? So if you're new here, welcome to Off the Vine, where I sit down with some of the most fascinating people in my humble opinion to ask questions that only my weird brain can think of. Whether you're a full believer, a total skeptic, or somewhere in the middle,
Starting point is 00:01:22 I think this is one of those conversations that is guaranteed to make you think and feel something. My guest today has spent over two decades connecting people with their loved ones on the other side. She starred in one of television's biggest reality series, Long Island Medium. I feel like everyone knows her from there. She's the author of four New York Times bestselling books. She has built a sold out live tour around the world.
Starting point is 00:01:45 She has a new show coming out this fall called A Reading with Teresa Caputo. She has an incredible jewelry line. Check it out. I'm sure it's on her website, Teresa Caputo.com. I have a necklace. We'll put a link for it in the show notes. But please welcome Teresa. Caputo. Okay, so let's start with so many people know you as Teresa the Medium, the Long Island
Starting point is 00:02:06 medium, we all know, even if people don't watch TV, I feel like they know who you are. And we'll get to Teresa the Medium, but I'm curious about Teresa the woman, who you are as a person. You've been doing this publicly for over 20 years. And I feel like your life today looks so much different from when you started. So I want to know, and you probably get asked these questions all the time, but has Talking to spirits prepared you for some of the hardest moments in your life. Oh, talking to spirit has prepared me in so many different ways. Really? It really has changed who I am.
Starting point is 00:02:39 I always feel like the core of me has always been family-orientated, giving back. It was just the way that I was raised. And I'm still very blessed to still have my parents. I still live next door to my parents. I live right next door to the house that I grew up in. That's awesome. But it has changed my perspective on life, death. even just everyday life on how we view people.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Yeah. So, and that has really, really helped me because I think no matter who we are, we always have that instinct to kind of judge right away. Yes. And that has really taught me like, no, uh-uh, you don't do that. It's true. I, the older, I mean, the blessing of aging and wisdom and growing. But same thing.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I, even the other day, so mean, I was in the elevator and I was just mad at a woman for facing me. I was like, why is she facing me in an elevator? And I was like, Caitlin, right? Like, I'm like, oh my gosh, maybe like the man behind her is making her uncomfortable and she's looking at me for support. Like, I try now to just not immediately go to judgment, but it's very difficult. It is like, I remember being out with my son recently. We were at a restaurant and I'm like, why is everyone like staring at me? He goes, he literally stopped and he's like, mom. He goes, are you kidding me? He goes, they know who you are. And I was like, oh, wait a minute. Yes. I forgot. It's a blessing and a curse. Right. It's a blessing and a curse.
Starting point is 00:03:58 It's more of a blessing. I know that's what I said. Everyone knows who you are. You also went through, had to go through a divorce publicly. Now, did your gift help you navigate that season differently? Or can you compartmentalize? I don't even know if I even know, because it's been so long. Yeah, how long?
Starting point is 00:04:18 It's going to be like eight years. Yeah. So it's been a while. And we're still friends. So, like, he was just at the house, you know, a couple of weeks ago, hanging out to see the grandbabies and, you know, so, yeah. Talking about gifts. I, I always say how lucky I am. My parents are divorced and they're still friends. And it's just so nice to be able to have a friendship after. But I think it's also, it comes when you realize that where you hate to say it,
Starting point is 00:04:44 but better separate. You know, I, I will sit here and say this today. I love Larry. I always will. He's the father of my children and we have grandchildren. We're a family. Yeah. But I just didn't want to live with them anymore. That's okay. And that's okay. And that's okay. And to be where we are, I'm very proud of that. Yeah, you should be. Absolutely. Do you get to date and are you dating or? I am. Yeah, I am dating. Do you do the apps? No. Oh, just kidding. I cannot even work my phone. You're lucky. I had a text, answer the phone, check an email. I'm awful. So you get to do it the old school way? Do you just meet in person and like go to just meet a person? Fun. Yeah. And so it's, it's nice. It's nice to also have that privacy because, you know, it was different. You know, over 15 years ago
Starting point is 00:05:33 when we started Long Island Medium, I never in a million years thought I would be where I am today. Yeah. And neither did my family. And we had the discussions, you know, with my ex-husband and my children, you know, about doing the show. So we kind of all went into it, you know, and it kind of just grew into something. And it's not easy. Yeah. Living your, to me, as, as, as, obviously. as it may seem to some people to have cameras following them in your home. To me, it never felt uncomfortable. It was always natural. It was almost like I was meant to do this. It was to me just another validation of I am where I'm exactly supposed to be in my life. Yeah. And not everyone wants to live their life in the public eye. No, I do really think people are born for that.
Starting point is 00:06:15 And there are certain, I was watching something the other day about star signs and if you're born on certain days and how that kind of life is kind of created for you. Really? What day is your birthday? The 10th. Yeah, that was one of them. Is it really? Yeah, there was a 10th, the 19th, the 28th, and I forget the other one. Yeah, you just have this ability to, you're so outgoing and you're able to like take the criticism, the judgment, have people following you bounce back easier even if it is difficult at times.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Like you're a star. You're just a natural born star. I always just say, I'm just Teresa. I've always said it. And of course, I'm different because that's what we're supposed to. to do in life, right? It was supposed to grow and evolve. And I'm proud of who I am today and the woman that I become. Yeah. But it's all, now my mind just went blank. That happens sometimes. That happens to me every day, every hour. Well, sometimes I can blame it on the menopause. I blame on
Starting point is 00:07:13 a million things. Sometimes it's spirit. Sometimes, I don't know what it is. But do you know what it is right now? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what it is. I'm also afraid to find out. You're a star, but you feel like Teresa. But you, I just feel like you do without me. Maybe you even knowing it or thinking like, oh, I'm a start. You just were born with star quality. This is who I am. I remember friends of mine that I'm still friends with since I'm 14, people would say to them, what do you mean you grew up with Teresa and you know her that like she cannot be that
Starting point is 00:07:42 dramatic? And he was like, no, you're right. She is far more dramatic in person than she is on TV. It's just like, I'm just who I am. But I really, and it's not just a cliche statement. No. I will never and have never forgotten where I come from. from. So, and I think that's so important. And as far as the social media, I kind of stay off of it.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Wow. You know, I do. I share a lot of my life on social media. But as far as reading comments, DMs and things like that, I can't, I have someone that monitors that because it's not. It's dark energy. Yeah. Well, you know what it is? I just, I don't understand why people want to say something negative, right? And we're supposed to be building each other up and supporting people like, you know, don't don't do that. And of course it hurts my feelings. But I always say, I'll never stop being me. You know, does it hurt my feelings? Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:30 But everyone has a right to their own opinion. Right. But that's, it's so hard. But I love that you don't read them because I feel like when you let that kind of stuff in, it slowly but surely like dims your light and your gift and everything that makes you who you are. You start questioning things. So yeah, just better off not reading.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Because how many times do you see there's like a hundred amazing positive comments and you got one person? We all, yeah. One person. And then that like totally destroys your whole. Yeah, no matter if you have millions of followers or hundreds or five, it's a full, yeah, one, a comment, a mean comment is a mean comment. I want to get into the questions that everyone wants to ask you. And I know, is it always just so repetitive or do you enjoy talking about these?
Starting point is 00:09:15 Because it's a topic that we can all ask the same questions over and over, but it never gets old to me. Well, I think it's a bit, it doesn't get old for me because this is who I am. This is what I do. and because what I do is so unique in a way, I believe we all have the ability to connect with our own loved ones. You do. And that's something that I always want people to take away with when they watch my show, listen to my podcast, whatever it is, I want them to realize that the things that they sense
Starting point is 00:09:41 and feel is real. So I always feel like me talking about it, it might be the same thing, but it might be someone else new listening. Or someone might be at a different point in their life where it might just click. Yeah. I always feel that way. I get so insecure going on other people's podcast. because I'm like, I am telling the same freaking story over and over, but I have to remember.
Starting point is 00:09:59 But that's your story. And it's my story. Exactly. And it's somebody else's podcast where it's a new audience and they might not have a clue. I don't have to get over yourself, Caitlin. Not everyone knows your story. Right. No, it's true.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Okay. So what do you believe actually happens the moment that we die? Well, the moment that we pass, when our soul leaves the physical body, we are immediately greeted by our loved ones that have gone on before us. Like they're just, I get goosebumps thinking about it because I also picture like dogs and animals and everyone just waiting. Pets come through. Yeah. And, you know, and how I learned.
Starting point is 00:10:35 And I always say this, things that I talk about are things that I've experienced through channeling the souls of the departed. So like they'll say, you know, I'll say to someone, oh, your mother is showing me that your father greeted your mother and her sister was there. And they'll say, oh my God, right before she died, she was calling for my father. She said three days prior that her sister was in the room. So to me, these are all validations of because there's no way I would know these things. Right, of course. So that we are greeted by our loved ones that have gone on before us. So it's such a beautiful thought.
Starting point is 00:11:06 It's so comforting because I'm the kind of person. I'm so scared of death. Even though I do believe in the afterlife and I do believe I'll be reconnected with all these people. I have such a fear around it, which I'm sure most people do. Right. Now, I think about I lost my girlfriend. and you had brought her up the first time I podcasted with you, and I don't expect you to remember all these people you bring up.
Starting point is 00:11:26 There's no chance you could. But did she pass unexpectedly or tragically? Yes. Because I just started to taste blood. Yes. So that's my symbol for where someone left the physical world in a tragic way. Yes. But I went to the last time I saw you.
Starting point is 00:11:38 That was years ago, wasn't it? On the podcast, it was like 20, oh gosh, 19, 2020. It was 2020. It was during COVID. Yeah. It was so long ago. So long ago, yeah. But that's how like that'll immediately, that like things like that
Starting point is 00:11:51 happen because a lot of times a soul will make me feel how they died. Yeah. Or they'll like make me feel the bond or relationship. Yes. So when it's tragic like that, is there still peace in the passing? 100%. Oh, that's nice. Well, she just hit me in the back of the head. So that's my symbol for that. Her soul immediately left the physical body or she was unconscious or not knowing what had happened. Yes. Until the soul left the physical. body. Yeah. So she did not suffer to her death. Okay. I, I, so it was it an accident? Because she just hit me in the chest, then the back of the head. Yes. So knowing that from the initial impact, usually the blow to the chest is whatever the first impact was, she was unconscious and then
Starting point is 00:12:39 the soul immediately left the physical body. It's weird to say that's comforting, but it is because obviously you would never want somebody to suffer. But she was young, 18. And, and, and she was, And she was such a rebel and she was just such a free spirit. And she decided because the driver was sober and they were all coming home from a party. She wanted to lay in the bed of the truck and look at the stars as they drove home. And they got in an accident. So she flew from the box of the truck. And it was just so tragic.
Starting point is 00:13:14 And I always wondered. I figured because how could you be awake during that time when that's that kind of impact is happening? but I always wonder if when something is so tragic, because it must be so terrifying in that moment, but is there peace even when, okay, that's good to know. Yeah, because souls will say like, oh, I was, you know, unfortunately the work that I do
Starting point is 00:13:37 and traveling all over the country doing live shows, you know, it never ceases to amaze me on how people pass. I would say myself, I can't say that. Nobody dies like that. Right. And they're like, nope, that's exactly what happened. Wow. And, you know, so some people will say, you know, I was held against my will for, you know, several hours or days.
Starting point is 00:13:56 So there are things where souls are very forthcoming on how they pass. What happens to them? They'll show me that could be a struggle, but then they'll say it wasn't for long. It was immediate. But very rare does souls say that there was a fear? Interesting. Yeah. Have you ever gotten a message that you just like did not want to deliver to somebody?
Starting point is 00:14:18 So it's not that I didn't sometimes when that happens, I don't know what I'm saying. Yeah. And or they, the souls give it to me in a way. For example, I was reading a woman in a live show. I was reading someone else and all of a sudden a soul just turned to me and I stared at this woman and I said to her, God took your baby. And I said to myself, what did you just say? Now this is in front of like 3,000 people. I'm saying to myself, okay, what did you just say to this woman?
Starting point is 00:14:48 And then the next thing, the woman just started hysterically crying uncontrollably. And she said, I've been carrying this for 30 years. She said, I was molestered from a family member and became pregnant. And my family was forcing me to have this baby. And she said, I went to bed that night praying to God to take my child to take my baby. She said, and I woke up the next morning and had a miscarriage. I just got the, I just got the goosebumps. How, I, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:16 I, if they gave it to me in a way to say this, to this woman, I would never be, I would never upset that. Right. And like, how do I say this to this? It just comes out. It just comes out. So when souls want me to say something, they'll just have me say it. Like there's no sign, there's no symbol.
Starting point is 00:15:30 It just, I just blurt it out. Wow. That is, that's powerful. That's, wow. Yeah. I can't even imagine going through that as thinking about her. And it took the woman three months to write an email to my fan club saying on how that changed her life and, and how she believes in an afterlife and knows that she's going to go
Starting point is 00:15:47 to heaven. Yeah. Yeah. And like she wasn't responsible. Wow. Wow. You bring comfort to so many people, which is such a beautiful gift. Do people know that they've passed? Yeah. So like, and is it immediate? So say, I just always, of course, think of my girlfriend in that moment where she does, like there's no heartbeat. She passes. Do they immediately, is it, what's that process? I don't know. Okay, okay. So, and I'm being honest, because no one's A ever asked that or souls have never said that to me. Souls will say to me, oh, can you believe I died? But that'll be like a symbol of like if that's what we say. Like, oh, can you believe they actually died or that they're still in such shock of like, wait, this happens so quickly.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Like if someone's diagnosed with an illness and then they pass within days or weeks later, it's just to acknowledge what had happened and how quickly it had happened. But they'll show me like sometimes I didn't even realize I died until I saw my grandfather or I saw my mom that passed. Oh my gosh. But it's never it's never a fear. So that's the one thing because you had said earlier like death is so scary, right? And I think that's normal for all of us, right? Because it's the unknown. Of course.
Starting point is 00:17:05 But what souls have shown me from the moment the soul leaves the physical body, there's no fear, there's no pain, there's no suffering, we are immediately healed. And things are different on the other side. There's no hatred. There's no animosity. So there are souls that apologize. So it really is incredible on on the work that I do, the messages that Spirit gives to really show that we go through a life review. Yeah. Of our life. And like in fast forward, it's not real time, right? Like it's not manmade time like we have here. Right. No, it's not. Because like someone, someone will be like, say like, they'll say, if a soul says to me, tell my daughter, I'm sorry, that's my symbol for that the soul had to relive their life through their daughter's eyes. So they had to feel what it was like to be the
Starting point is 00:17:54 child of because of their actions, choices, or decisions what it had caused them. And then that's to show that the soul has grown and learned that lesson. That could be years. Sometimes it'll be months. Sometimes the soul will say this was the first lesson that I had to learn here on the other side. So you also believe that we live many lives? I do. Yeah, me too. I do. I done past life regressions.
Starting point is 00:18:18 That's how I talk about it because a lot of my anxieties and fears that I had were all connected to previous lives that I had here. So some people, because some people have like a near-death experience to then realize they have their gift. But how did you realize that you have this gift? Oh, I didn't know until I was almost 30. Wow. Yeah. So I would always, as a child, I always had trouble sleeping. I would always be awoken.
Starting point is 00:18:46 I would always wake up at night by something or someone. And then I would scream from my parents. It would come in. There'd be no one in the room. So that was my childhood. And then it wasn't until I was almost 30. It was after I had my daughter, Victoria, my anxieties became increasingly worse. I couldn't even leave my house.
Starting point is 00:19:05 And my mom had suggested that I go see her friend, who was a spiritual healer. and she's taught spiritual awareness classes, had no idea that it would have led to where I am today. Right. And that then just became a safe space for me to explore what was being given to me and what was shown to me because a part of my, a lot of my anxiety was I would feel the way a soul departs. So I would walk into a store and all of a sudden I would feel like I couldn't breathe.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I would leave the store and then I'd be fine. But yeah, because I left the soul. Got it. So that's how I understood. what was happening to me, but it wasn't until then. So it really is what they say when you have to tap into it. It's really not like you say we can all kind of connect with our right loved ones. So how does one tap into it?
Starting point is 00:19:56 Well, I always say like what just happened now. I just, I'm always sensing and feeling things, right? So it's just if a soul pushes me enough to say something. I say to people, I meditate every day. It's only 10 minutes. but what I do is I always release any negative emotions and anything from my body and just I'm always imagine myself engulfed in God's white light because that's just purity and love and protection. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:21 And I only want information that is going to be for the highest good of all concerned. Yes. I want people to know the things that they sense and feel are real. Like if they see, and I don't care if it's a cloud, if they find a dime or if they see a butterfly or a ladybug or a bunny rabbit. If it reminds them of their loved one that has died, know that that is the soul getting our attention. It's not that the soul is that living thing. It's the soul getting our attention to remind us that they haven't left us. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:51 So my best friend, her dad passed and his favorite song in the world. No, I'm blanking on it. It's Elvis. Oh, God, what is that song? Suspicious minds. Oh, that's it. Yes. Suspect.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Yes. And so my girlfriend's sister went and bought herself a new car. And she was all excited about this new car she bought. And she put on the radio station, but it was for Robin radio. So she wanted to hear a specific Robin song, which is nowhere close to an Elvis song. And it cut out and went to suspicious minds. Yep, that was her dad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:31 100%. 100%. That happens all the time. But sometimes we don't know what to look for. And a lot of people will say to me, they'll say, I don't feel. that my mom is with me because before my mom died, she said she was going to come to me as a Red Cardinal. And I don't see any Red Cardinals. But Red Cardinal was his sign too. So I, because I said to him, I saw my sign to say when someone, if you put the song on the radio, when I was giving you
Starting point is 00:21:55 my examples and I didn't say it. So then he showed me he was going to give me another sign. So, so someone might say Red Cardinal. And then they might not see Red Cardinals, but they might be seeing butterflies or they might be seeing rainbows or they might see like things shaped in hearts. So why why does it always seem to be the same sign? A red cardinal, a feather. Oh, there are many. There are. Those are the most common. Those are just common. I mean, there are some crazy things. I've said to people a squirrel. Like I've said some pretty crazy things that I'm like, really? That's the sign. My grandmother, big fat fly with the hair sticking out. That's what I get. Okay. Nanny Brigandi, The big fat fly.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Oh, yeah. So not everything is skittles and rainbows, Caitlin. That's what I do. I was going to ask you that same question. Like, what are the signs? But you can get specific, right, when you ask for signs? Well, I try to tell people, you can, but try to just say, just show me a sign that I know with that it's you.
Starting point is 00:22:55 And it's anything that you sense and feel. Sometimes people will say, I did that. And then I saw someone that looked exactly like my brother. the, you know, mannerisms, the way they walked, the way they dressed, and even their voice. And then when I got closer, they looked nothing like my brother. That happens all the time. Yeah. So there are little things that you would never, ever imagine.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Here's an example. My aunt recently passed, and all of a sudden, my cousin started finding frogs. And I'm like, that is Aunt Jane's sign that it's her. Yeah. I went shopping one day. Now, I know you're not much of a shopper. Haley. I go into this, the jewelry department.
Starting point is 00:23:37 There is a diamond and ruby and emerald frog ring. Uh-uh. Yeah, yeah. Who in God's name is going to wear a diamond-encrusted emerald frog ring? Yeah. Right? And I was like, that is, I know that that was a sign for my aunt. And I just had a friend of mine recently passed.
Starting point is 00:23:57 He was coming to his wife in bunnies. I went to a store hours later, and there was a. diamond bunny ring. What? Exactly. That's crazy. Crazy. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Now, I know a lot of people feel this way. If they could wake up tomorrow and magically be better at one thing, I think a lot of people would love to be better at not overthinking every tiny interaction you have. You know, when you send a text and then immediately reread it four times, then you're thinking, is that weird? Should I have added an exclamation point? Did the period feel aggressive? Meanwhile, the other person is probably
Starting point is 00:24:31 not thought about it once. I think getting better doesn't always have to mean completely changing yourself. Sometimes it's just learning how to quiet some of that noise in your head, understand yourself a little better, and not let every thought become a full investigation. Better is a feeling, and it's defined by you. And for better help, it's a better help therapist who really gets you. It's a focus on global emotional well-being
Starting point is 00:24:56 with thousands of therapists and millions of members in over 100 countries, it's progress. And maybe it's getting better at letting a text just be a text. And I feel like the biggest compliment I can give any brand is that I actually keep wearing the pieces long after the ad read is over. Because I believe we all have things that we were going to wear constantly and then somehow we never see them again. But Quince is the opposite for me. Are they, I know that maybe like a long-lost uncle might not be with us at all times, but are they always around and they can hear us talk to them or what is? They do hear us. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:01 It's not that they're glued to us. Right. It's energy. So energy is everywhere. Where we go, we bring them, or they're just experiencing life through our eyes at certain moments. Okay. Do they keep the same personalities that they had?
Starting point is 00:27:15 I always like to think that my grandpa was such a big personality, and I feel like they almost revert back to like a childlike version of themselves. Well, it depends. So I want souls to channel with that personality. Yes, that would make it easy for you to. Well, for the person, really, because I want, especially if someone was ill prior to their departure, right? What better way to validate and to acknowledge that the soul is completely healed, but for them to come through the way that they were before they got sick. Yeah. So that's why I love the
Starting point is 00:27:43 personality because I wouldn't know someone's personality. So sometimes souls, I'll say, oh, you know, your dad is in the back of the room and they'll say, oh, that was my dad. My mom always did the talking. My dad was in the back of the room. Sometimes if a soul needed to say something, if they learned a lesson, they will step forward and they'll be the one that will talk and they'll be like, oh, I'm surprised that my dad's doing all the talking because he needs to. Because that's what the soul needs and wants to do for you. That makes sense. I feel like you personally, sometimes when you are connecting with afterlife, you take on their personalities. Does that happen to you often? Yes. Yeah. It'll happen also before a reading. So for example, and I don't know if it's going to happen or not,
Starting point is 00:28:32 But when I'm generally a very happy person. But when my mood changes, I felt that this morning when I got into the car, like my personality changed. Like I just got like, I felt angry. There was no reason for me to be angry. Right. Right. But I know that that's a soul that I'm picking.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Sometimes someone could be angry that someone died. It doesn't have to be that the soul was angry. Yeah. But there or there was some type of devastation to the departure. Yeah. Or there was no justice. to the departure. So I know, so that affects my, my, that affects me every day.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Yeah. You know, so those are things that people don't realize that because I am always sensing and feeling, even though I'm not channeling the soul, I will still be affected by the energy around me. You must not be an overthinker. I feel like you can't overthink or are you. Well, you know, like I said, with this postmenopausal, I become a little bit of an overthinker. It's always something new every day with the menopause, so I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:34 That's true. I just feel like you'd have to accept everything coming in. I do. I, you know, I think for all overthink is to an extent. Yes. But I wouldn't generally think that I am constantly an overthinker. Yeah. I'll like overthink like something silly. Nothing serious. It'll be something silly. Right. You said earlier that maybe someone said before they pass like, I'll come back as this and then they don't see the signs. So why do some people feel signs and things immediately after someone's passing? And sometimes people don't. For example, when my girlfriend did pass, um, her sister and best friend felt so much and my girlfriends and I didn't feel anything. Right. So that, that's a lie. I did feel a lot. Two of my girlfriends
Starting point is 00:30:24 did not. Yeah. So sometimes, uh, the devastation could be so, or the, the, the, The grief is so raw. And it's hard to. I always say this to people. Having a reading or receiving messages or even getting signs isn't always easy. That's hard to receive these messages, right? So to sometimes see the signs because then we really have to truly accept that they're gone. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Right? So it all depends. It all depends on how spiritually connected we are. Yeah. And if we're open to those signs and sometimes we just can't handle them at that time. What's so interesting to me is. It's been 23 years since my girlfriend passed and she still visits my dreams all the time. See, now that's interesting.
Starting point is 00:31:07 I was going to say this to you that when we were talking about the signs, I always share with people when souls bring up dreams. They're actual visitations. I don't have dreams and my loved ones that have died. You don't? I don't connect with them in that way. I had one experience with my grandmother and that was it. Interesting. But I don't connect with them in that way.
Starting point is 00:31:25 Some people do. Yeah. But some people do. Do you believe, like, what do you believe about dreams? Are we going, I did a post the other day where I'm like, that's so cute that we all put on our little pajamas, like, it's a special occasion to go to sleep. And we just like lay down and we pretend to fall asleep, just to fall asleep. And then we hallucinate and then we go into a coma and then we just wake up and go do do do do.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Like, where are we going? I have no idea because I don't dream. Oh, crazy. And I don't remember my dreams. If I do, it's like one little, I'll be like, oh, I feel like I had a weird dream list. but I might not remember what it was. Really? And I don't dream of my loved ones.
Starting point is 00:32:01 I don't know if I don't fall into a deep realm enough. I don't know. Or I sometimes I also think that it's... They're giving you a break in the dreams. No, no pun intended, dead serious. I think that's my rest time. Yeah. Because when I'm asleep, I am asleep.
Starting point is 00:32:17 But I am also a sleep talker. Oh, are you? So I will just talk in my sleep about anything. Like jibber jabber, you know. That must be, yeah, they're giving you your break. because they are around you and communicating with you. But I do think those are our teaching hours. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:32 So I do believe that. Like, that's when our minds are fully at rest is when we sleep. So I do believe that. My dreams are so vivid that in the morning I can't even keep up with how fast my brain is trying to remember them because it's such a long production and a story. And I have so many every night. Like the weirdest. I had a dream last night that I,
Starting point is 00:32:51 my mom had a special sleeping bag from when we were younger that I didn't remember that if we dipped our feet in gold and went in the sleeping bag, we could levitate and speak to and speak to people who have passed. Yep. And here we are today. I'm like, that must have been something before doing this with you. Can I ask you? Do you feel that you're, because I just felt that you were an old soul.
Starting point is 00:33:13 But I don't know if you've ever acknowledged that. It's so funny because I do believe, I believe, I don't know how this makes sense. I always say I'm so confusing because I'm always the definition of two things being true at the same time. I feel like I'm an old soul and a young soul at the exact same time. Like, I feel very, like, if I did want to, I could connect. I feel like right before I go to sleep, I feel people's presence around me. I feel animals on my bed when I'm right before falling asleep. I can feel cat paws.
Starting point is 00:33:43 I can feel dogs walking. I can feel, and it's only right before I fall asleep. And then after that, nothing. But it's probably because your soul is learning. Like, I feel, even though I've had so many past lives, I don't, my soul isn't going to come back. Like this is my last. That's what I feel.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I feel like this is my last. This is my last time. Same. The physical world. Yeah. Courtney hates when I say that. I don't know what I do I say because Courtney, she hates what I say that. But it's true.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Oh, I think it's such a beautiful thing because I go, I go, wow, we've done it all. I've done it all. Yeah. And you came here and you finally learned what you were meant to do. And that's it. That's, I mean, listen, I say this to people too because people go, you're really not afraid to die. like, listen, I'm not afraid to die. I don't want to die. Right. You know, but I know that I'm going to be greeted by my loved ones that have gone on before me. Yes, I do. That is, there is comfort in that for
Starting point is 00:34:39 sure. You've also said children and animals are naturally more connected. Now, obviously that's, to me, it's obvious because they haven't been jaded and, you know. Yeah, their minds. Yeah, their minds are so open. So open. And you know that saying children say the darndest things? things they do. Yeah. And that's the other thing that I was find incredible. They're not worried about judgment. If I'm reading someone, how could I know that someone's four-year-old is making reference to their brother? Right. Right? Or says that the soul is there or that they're, oh, they're just sitting on the couch, you know, and they're young. Yeah. They don't know. Right. They've never even
Starting point is 00:35:16 met these people before. Yeah. Those are the things that always amaze me. That's, I love seeing TikToks or like Instagram reels where it's little kids talking about a preview. life or connecting with something and their parents are recording be like, oh my gosh. Yeah. Because I, it makes so much sense. They have not been jaded. They don't have blocked the pineal glands. Their third eyes open, all the things.
Starting point is 00:35:40 And it's so beautiful. Yeah, it really is. And that's why they outgrow it because then their mind just become busy. Oh, which is how it works. I like to say, I like to say busy instead of jaded. Yeah, yeah. Okay, that's a much better word. I'm like, jaded.
Starting point is 00:35:53 busy. You have comforted thousands and thousands of families and people. I just can't imagine also carrying that kind of emotion. And I think it's incredible what you do because it gives people hope when they're at their absolute lowest point of their lives and like deep grief. But that responsibility must feel overwhelming at times. I don't look at it as a responsibility. I feel that it's an honor and a privilege to be able to do this work.
Starting point is 00:36:22 and the fact that people trust me with the souls of their departed loved ones means the absolute world to me. Is it frustrating? Because I was built to do this. Yeah, you definitely were. It is not easy. I mean, and I do. I work, I work at, you know, grounding myself.
Starting point is 00:36:39 I do a lot of prayer and a lot of cleansing and meditation, but it's still not easy. I make what I do look very easy. Yeah, you do. It's the hardest thing that I have to do is to take someone on that emotional roller coaster. and to bring them the peace and comfort that they deserve. And sometimes they don't realize what they need until they experience something like that. Yeah, I guess it doesn't have to be a responsibility when it gets to be so rewarding at the same time. Well, maybe is it also because I also realize this has nothing to do with me.
Starting point is 00:37:10 God, if only we could all think that way. I just feel that I'm the vessel that the souls are using. You know, it's not up to me what Spirit wants me to say, doesn't want me to say. So I'm just relaying a message. I'm just the messenger. I know you're a religious person. You believe in God. I always say it's I'm a practicing Catholic.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Even though they don't agree with what I do, they take my money every week. That's what I was going to ask. You're practicing Catholic. You believe in God. And a lot of people feel like it has to be one or the other. How do you explain that? Well, I explain it like how I view my life. There's good and bad in everything, right?
Starting point is 00:37:49 And there is not something. that we fully love or commit or have 100% faith in, right? So with anything in my life, this is how I approach it. I take what serves me a purpose, things that don't serve me a purpose, I just place to the side. Yeah. So, and it brings me comfort. And I know that my gift is guided by God. Yeah. Because I struggled with my gift. And I didn't know what to do. Because I was like, okay, this is great. I'm blessed with this gift. Who's going to want to come. and see a medium, right? And then 9-11 happened. And I had a spiritual experience during a meditation where my spirit guide came to me and told me that thousands of people perished that day. And the
Starting point is 00:38:33 families did not know what happened to their loved ones and they needed the peace in knowing that their souls were a peace with God. So I put my gift in God's hands and I said, if this is my soul's journey, open the doors and I will walk through them with my gift, but I only want to help people. I don't want anything negative. I only want information for the highest good of all concerned. And then I reminded God that I was afraid of the dark. So, and then, and here I am. Wow.
Starting point is 00:39:00 And I never thought that I'd be where I am. Yeah. You know, for me, it was just helping me through my anxieties and then to have that experience and then to be where I am and to have people come up to me. So this is the crazy thing. I have people that have come up to me. It actually was at Courtney's mom's birthday party. A gentleman came up to me and said,
Starting point is 00:39:18 I found God again because of you. Oh, wow. So, once again, I just got the chills. But, you know, so to say that what I do is wrong, I, you know, don't compare, you know, because no matter what occupation, you're in. There's good podcasters. There's terrible podcasts, right? There's good doctors, teachers, police officers, firemen, right?
Starting point is 00:39:44 So it's the same thing. It's just, it's an occupation. It's what I was made to do. How do you feel about, and I don't know how to say it without seeming like an asshole, but there's frauds out there that are doing what you're doing and taking advantage of people and using it to their advantage and for selfish purposes. How do we justify that? I don't know. Yeah. You know, it's terrible because that's not, I always say to people, if you, anyone that thinks any of those things about me, then you don't know who I am.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Yeah. You really don't know who I am. Because go, I always tell people go on my website, look at my fan club, look at what we do with all of the proceeds from the fan club, how we give back and the work that I do. Don't compare me to someone else. And again, there's good and bad doctors. Right? So no matter what there is, there's going to be that. But it's just an easier thing to target because it's almost like there's no, people say no proof.
Starting point is 00:40:42 And I say, well, I did have a brain scan. and it does prove that I'm able to access a different part of my brain. Oh, cool. Yeah, I did it. I'll never forget it. It was Dr. Roz with Dr. Raymond. Yeah. And I remember Dr. Oz coming up to me and saying, aren't you nervous?
Starting point is 00:40:58 And I'm like, no, why? And he's like, well, what if it shows nothing? And I'm like, I'm telling you, I don't know what happens. There is nothing in my brain. When I channel, I have no personal thoughts, feelings or emotions. And that's what it literally showed. It's almost like my brain flatlines. Oh, I love that you have that proof.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Yeah. So. That's really cool. I didn't know that. Yeah. Oh, wow. I actually had a full body scan and my, is it pinnial or pineal gland? It's, oh, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:41:26 I talk to dead people. You think I, yeah. Well, it's like, it's part of your brain that apparently, like, really does open your, it's more intuition. And mine is calcified and I'm so upset about it. I'm like, how do I decalcify the gland? But what is that? Why wouldn't that matter if it's calcified or you're connecting with spirit?
Starting point is 00:41:43 Well, maybe I could. more if it wasn't calcified? Well, maybe it's calcified for a reason. Someone told me a while ago, rejection is protection. That is true. And I believe that. Yes. I fully believe that.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Okay. Yeah. So it's a little calcified. Okay. That made me just think of Ouija boards. Like, that's, do you, what do you? Yeah, no. No.
Starting point is 00:42:05 We don't do Ouija boards. They're real. I mean, if people, I mean, because. How can you just go to Toys R Us and get a negative spirit? Well, because if you're calling in negative energy, There are lower energies, they're lower souls. And look, I always say this, I only talk about what I do and the work that I do. But I would never play.
Starting point is 00:42:22 And I always tell how many times I've seen people, I say you have something attached to you. And I'll ask them, did you play with the Ouija board? And they'll say yes. Ah. Yeah. It is freaky. I've heard horror stories. Have you ever encountered a spirit that has, like, that's frightened you or been a negative
Starting point is 00:42:37 energy? No. So here's the thing. I can see a soul, but I won't be able to feel. anything from them. And it happened once. So that's how I know when I say, I only channel souls that walk in God's white light. That's nice. You have boundaries of spirits. Yeah. And they know it. Yeah. And it was from the day that I put my gift in God's hands. So, wow. Has it, as you have evolved into the woman you are today, have you gotten less or more emotional? Oh, I would say, oh,
Starting point is 00:43:09 I'm going to say both. Yeah. Because I do become very emotional, but I also am able to separate myself. I don't know how I do it. Yeah, we don't have to. Yeah. I know we kind of talked about, you know, skeptics or I guess we haven't really touched on skeptics, but people maybe not believing in mediumship.
Starting point is 00:43:31 And obviously, you've lived a public life in this for decades. So what do you think people get wrong about mediumship? I think, like, I don't predict the future. I know, because people are like, tell me the lottery numbers. Yeah, exactly. That's not what I do. And I get it. Trust me, I am the first one to say that what I do is crazy.
Starting point is 00:43:51 How can someone communicate with someone that is not? I mean, I get it. But the way that I have the soul's channel, like, there's no way I would know certain things. And I get it. Just be open. I am not asking people to believe in what I do. I tell people this before every live show, I give a speech on.
Starting point is 00:44:08 on how I connect with spirit and I also tell them. I tell people, you don't have to believe in what I do. I don't care if you believe in what I do. That's not why I do the work that I do. I want people to believe in an afterlife. But more importantly, I want them to believe in themselves that they still have this connection with their loved one and that a soul bond will never be broken.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Yeah. Oh, that's nice. And can you explain to, I kind of understand, but maybe people listening what a soul contract is? Or do you believe that? Oh, when our soul signs up, for? Yes. Yeah. So I just know that from what they show me and what I've seen through my own past lives is that the soul agrees to learn certain lessons. And that's or hardships that they have
Starting point is 00:44:50 to go through. Because this is the hard part. You know, people say, do you believe in a hell? And I say, oh, sometimes this might be it. Right? That's a good point. Yeah. Do you think babies choose their parents? Oh, I don't know that. Oh. I don't know that. I don't know about that. But souls will show me like they're like I'll see like a soul on the other side holding a blue or a pink blanket. That's my, and if they hand me the blanket, that means a child's getting ready to come here in the physical world. Children have said I, when my soul got to heaven, I thanked God for allowing you to be my parents. So I don't know if the soul chooses picks. I don't know exactly how that works. I'm also. I'm also very different. I don't need to know how things work. And it's also the way I deliver messages
Starting point is 00:45:41 because sometimes I have to deliver sensitive messages. Of course. And I don't need to know everything. It's not my job to know everything. I just need to know what the healing message is. I like that you don't put pressure on yourself either because it's okay to either be wrong. Oh yeah. Or have nothing come through. That's not like you said. That's not your responsibility. I'm the first one to say, I feel I could misinterpret something. Yeah. So like I'm, and I'm just going to say this because I always say, if it happens more than three times, I'll always say something.
Starting point is 00:46:12 And I never have to channel it, but I always feel drawn over here that there was also a unexpected departure, but then I also felt like somebody missed someone's departure. And then there was a mother energy that stepped forward. So it would be like a grandmother or could be an aunt or someone like a mom. So there were several things that happened in this moment. So this is a space that's utilized by other people. It could be for the gentleman over there. Wolf?
Starting point is 00:46:35 So, Wolf, do you have a grandmother or aunt or someone that passed that you missed their departure? Yeah, two grandmothers. Okay. Oh. So when souls say that, it's always just that. And when they make me feel something, it's they acknowledge what it is that we hold on to that might not give us the ability to heal. Grieving and healing are two separate things. Oh, explain that.
Starting point is 00:46:59 I like that. Yeah. Because we will grieve the loss of our loved ones for the rest of our lives here in the physical world. This grief is never going to go away. Will the grief become lighter? Yes. But we need to allow ourselves to heal. And sometimes we can't do that if we're carrying all of these burdens.
Starting point is 00:47:16 That's why I do the work that I do. And I think sometimes people come to me and it gives them permission to heal. Interesting. And also to grief. Because some people carry such a burden connected to their loved one's death where they feel they could have prevented a departure, or they could have done more, should have done more, or should or could have would have, so the only F's. Spirit gives us that permission to hand them back all of these burdens that we carry that
Starting point is 00:47:44 aren't our burdens. I can't imagine how many people feel that when it comes to loss. It's, and I don't know why I'm becoming emotional from it, but it is, it's heartbreaking. Yeah. To see someone suffer because of a feeling, well, if I was there, or I should have said goodbye, or I didn't get the opportunity. For souls, when they acknowledge things that we hold on to, means that they hurt us and that they don't want us to carry these burdens.
Starting point is 00:48:10 I think that's one of the hardest things about when people pass or even animals pass, like the guilt that you carry and how to let that go because we can all say, like, of course that person doesn't want us to suffer, but how do we actually let it go? That's hard. Yeah. So sometimes I'll tell people, imagine your loved one standing in front of you with a suitcase open at the bottom of their feet. Put in the suitcase, every should have, could have, would have,
Starting point is 00:48:35 only if burden, and hand it back to them with love. Because they don't want us to carry those burdens. I like that. I'm a person who likes a vision. Like, I'm a visual learner. And I'm also like, like, when I do meditations or when I do sit down and like picture what I want my life to look like, I'm very good at visualizing things. And it helps me when other people give me a visual. Oh, is that why my grandchildren are always at my house? Because I always think about them. Am I putting that out there? Maybe. Everyone always says, oh, you would have an empty nest.
Starting point is 00:49:07 I'm like, I've never had an empty nest. Yeah. Aw. That's, I love how close you are with your family. Your daughter was the one that I think actually connected us in the first place because she was a bachelor fan. Yes. That's so sweet.
Starting point is 00:49:18 And she, how old is? She is two children now, Mikalina and Meadow. Oh, I like those names. Oh, that's beautiful. Oh, my gosh. We're talking about grief and I feel like that's also grief can teach you about love and how, you know, because I think a lot of people too get so scared after loss to love again and to get close to somebody. But, and we're kind of talking people probably have so many regrets. Like the biggest regret is not telling someone you love them before they go or not being there. But what does grief taught you personally about forgiveness? Oh, well, forgiveness is for us.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Yeah. And forgiveness, we forgive because it helps us. But that doesn't mean that then we give person permission to overstep boundaries. The one thing that also grief has really taught me is that it's okay to celebrate them. I think that's the number one thing people don't do or they're afraid to, like if someone, especially if someone loses a child, right? They don't want to say, like, talk about their child. I always, because souls will show me like, especially if a child passes, they'll say my mom doesn't know how to celebrate me. And I'll tell them, celebrate your child.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Celebrate who they are. If people ask, don't be afraid to say, you don't have to talk about how they died. They died unexpectedly. They died tragically. You get signs from them. Share a beautiful story about them. So you leave that person with a beautiful memory of your child. Not how they died.
Starting point is 00:53:01 So I think that's important. Yeah. I'm thinking about this now. When I was on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, it was always so focused on like, well, what's your story and what, you know, like what's happened in your life? And you're in such a rush to marry this freaking person that they're like, tell all your biggest, deepest, darkest secrets and your tragic losses and all. And I found everybody had the story. And I was so afraid to open up about Lindsay, my friend, because I didn't want me to be using her story. And it really bugged me for a long time that they were trying to get me to share.
Starting point is 00:53:35 And I was like, it doesn't feel right to me to just use that. But then when I was on Dancing with the Stars, I realized what an honor to like keep her legacy alive and to speak about her. She was a dancer. She loved dancing. And like it was part of my life. It was such. And Dancing with the Stars does such a beautiful job of telling people's life stories through dance. And I thought, what a perfect time to, you know, talk about her.
Starting point is 00:53:58 And I realized that there. was a song that she chose before she passed to be her funeral song. And she just knew she, she read books on the afterlife and all these things. And I did not listen to that song. I was a pallbearer at her funeral. And I couldn't listen to that song ever since. And I danced to it on Dancing with the Stars. And it's like grief never leaves your body because I sobbed and sobbed. And I was like, it's crazy. It's been 20 years. And I still. Yeah. But that's the point of grief. Right. Like it hits us. It can hit us hard. at decades later, weeks later, months later. But that's the beautiful thing. And this is the thing
Starting point is 00:54:38 when she first came through earlier, she kept telling me that the way that you celebrate her has helped you heal from her death. Yes, it has. So those moments of dancing, you know, being on dancing with the stars and then, and her being a dancer. And I don't believe in a, I don't believe in coincidences. Me either. I believe things do happen for a reason. So Lindsay, my assistant, And she always doesn't come a lot of times to things. She came today. So this gentleman's name is Wolf. Unfortunately, Lindsay lost her fiancé.
Starting point is 00:55:08 He was killed in a car accident. And his last name was Wolf. You're kidding. And then your friend died and was Lindsay. Like, people might say, oh, my God, that's a coincidence. But I don't think Lindsay is a common name. No. And I don't think many people are named Wolf.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Wow. Right? So I always take those as like little signs, you know, because like we're always talking about, you know, it's difficult for her to move forward. And, you know, people, when I'm, when I'm away, and everything, people say, oh, how's Lindsay? And I have to stop and think for a minute because people always asking about my kids or, you know, my parents or my grandchildren. So I was like, oh, no, Lindsay, she's good. And they'll always say, you know, how is she doing? Is she moving on? And, you know, it's hard.
Starting point is 00:55:47 And I think, especially at these times when things like this happen, these are those little things, I always say, they're little hello's from heaven in reminding us that it's okay to move forward with our lives as we choose at this time. That's really, that's, I agree, that's not a co-wink eating. No. No. No. Oh, how beautiful.
Starting point is 00:56:06 And I'm so sorry. Wow. But it's all about having faith. Yes. And I'm not talking about a religion because I feel like that's a very personal thing. Yep, yep. I just want people to believe in themselves and to believe in an afterlife. Yes.
Starting point is 00:56:18 And you have to have that faith. And sometimes coming and getting a reading is that little mustard seed. Yeah, I agree. Of hope. I am. such a believer in signs. I ask for them all the time. I receive them all the time. It's so validating. And it really, to me, it's such an important lesson to put down my phone and connect with just like energy, nature, because the second I'm not lost in that phone and blocking everything
Starting point is 00:56:45 that could be coming in. Oh, it's so beautiful. And I feel like I breathe deeper and I see things clearer. And it's just such a beautiful thing to look for signs. And people are always like, well, that light blinking could have been a blah, but why? But why am I in the hotel room in room 21 that has the blinking light of all the hotel rooms? So yeah, maybe it is a bad bulb, but it's also a sign. Right. I got the bad bulb in my room. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:57:11 Yeah. You know. Tell me about this new show that's going to be coming out because I, if I could sit down and watch one thing, it would be you on TV. I know people love it. It's the best. Because when you're watching it, so it's, you know, a reading. with Teresa Caputo. Yeah. And it's really just conversation, conversations with people. And then
Starting point is 00:57:31 you always know what happens. Spirit always usually tends to drop on in. And, you know, we have a lot of interesting guests, you know, on this, this time around. We have, oh, Jennifer Love Hewitt. Oh, she is amazing. Really? She seems like a doll. So, so amazing. Yeah. Shalameen, the God was on. Yeah. You had Amanda Hirsch. Yep, Amanda Hirsch, Bunny X-O. Oh, how is she? When did you? Was that pre-divorce or post-divorce?
Starting point is 00:58:04 Oh, this was before her book. So the crazy thing with Bunny X-O was she was here, unbeknownst to me or even my team, she was here announcing her book. But I gave her a reading in the morning and every person that she wrote about in her book came through. You're kidding. And she said, that's what she said. She goes, I'm announcing my book today. And I talked about all of these people in my book.
Starting point is 00:58:30 She says, what a gift that they support and they know that I wrote about them. Yeah. It was unbelievable. Yeah, she's a sweetheart. Yeah. She seems like it. Yeah. And just she is who she is.
Starting point is 00:58:41 And people want to have an opinion on her. But why? Because they think a certain look. Oh, she's got tattoos and she talks about this and she's this. So. But that's her. Yeah. You know.
Starting point is 00:58:52 She can still be a sweet angel pie. Exactly. I love tattoos. I mean, you know, I think that's the thing. You know, we're so quick to judge. You know, my mom always says, you know, don't judge someone because you don't know the whole story. Yeah. Don't judge me for not having bags.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Yeah. Designer bags and shoes. I won't. She almost walked out of the podcast when she found that out. Who says I own one pair of designer shoes? And they were gifted to me. Oh. No gifts.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I don't get any gifts. I'll only take it as a gift. I'm like, why would I spend my money? Except for that bag, I did spend money on that bag. It was my birthday. That is a good purchase. She's beautiful. But my, I always told this story.
Starting point is 00:59:32 I was always into fashion and I was in fifth grade. Now, I'm old, okay? I, jordan jeans just came out and sassoon jeans and Tom McCann shoes. Okay. And I said, it was right before school. And my mom said to me, you can get 10 outfits from TSS and five pairs of shoes. Oh. Or you can get one pair of drawdash, one pair of sassoons, and one pair of Tomicans.
Starting point is 00:59:58 And you chose that? I did. I did. Yeah. This dress is from Amazon. I will take all the, I just, and I go through clothes like that, I do like staple pieces that are higher end. Yeah. But I just, yeah, I want, I want to have more of a taste for fashion.
Starting point is 01:00:17 I just love fashion. I mean, listen, I wear T-shirts from Target. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, shorts from Walmart. I mean, but I just love fashion. That's great. I always have and, yeah. That's great.
Starting point is 01:00:27 I love people. Yeah, it is fun. But that's not everyone's thing. No. You know, some people, my brother loves ice cream. He will spend all his money on ice cream. That's hilarious. I love travel.
Starting point is 01:00:40 That's what I like sending my money. Well, that's my son. My son and my daughter-in-law, and now they have a son now, Nico. Yeah. So they, and they love to travel and he's not one to. He's very fashionable. Yeah. But does anyone in the family?
Starting point is 01:00:52 Like your granddaughter's, your daughter, grandsons, do they have any kind of gift you can see? Well, I can see it. I believe both of my children have gifts. I do believe that it is genetic or hereditary. My granddaughter has shown signs. She's named after my grandmother. And she has said things to me that we've done in the past that I've done with my grandmother that she wouldn't know about.
Starting point is 01:01:15 So, oh my gosh. That's so cool. Your show is going to come out in the fall. That's so exciting. And so people, everybody look out for that. And I'm going to play a quick game with you. And then I'm going to let you go. Quick game.
Starting point is 01:01:27 Okay. This makes me nervous. The game just make me nervous. Don't worry. It's really just a wood, like, do you like this or that? Oh, okay. But I'm calling it obviously dead or alive. So just tell me if they're like, oh, they're dead.
Starting point is 01:01:41 They're, it's, you'll see. Okay. Or alive and well, and you're like, I'm all for that. Okay. Okay. So dead or alive? Yeah. So dead is no, alive is yes.
Starting point is 01:01:48 Yes. Got it. Spray tans in the winter. Oh, alive. Same. every week. The new season of Real Housewives of New York. Oh.
Starting point is 01:01:58 Men's amends. I don't watch TV. I watch the Game Show Network. That's literally what I watch. That's so cute. Wait, do things come through if you're watching people on TV, or do you have to be like... Oh, I could feel things. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Yeah. When I watch shows and stuff like that. Yeah. Yeah. That's cool. Disney adults. Oh, alive. I become a Disney grandma.
Starting point is 01:02:24 I guess when you see the like things through a child dies, it becomes more magical again. I mean, listen, at 59, I rode Guardians. Oh, wow, good for you. Yeah, good for me. I still talk about it. Like, I don't know how I did it. I don't know how brave I got or where I became so brave to ride Guardians.
Starting point is 01:02:42 But yes, my kids are Disney kids and my grandchildren. So I am a Disney grandma. That's fair. That's fair. Okay. Vision boards. Oh, alive. Okay, me too.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Voice notes longer than two minutes. No, I'm dead. Yeah, okay. Sharing your location with your partner. Oh, alive. Oh, yeah, trust. AI. Oh, I don't even know what that is.
Starting point is 01:03:08 There's too much of AI of me out there. I bet. Oh, it's terrible. I mean, we literally, I mean, that's one of the reasons why I form my fan club. And so people can have a direct connection to my team. It's awful. I tell people, if anyone contacts you claiming to be me, it's not me. How do people join your community?
Starting point is 01:03:27 Through my website, teresa Caputo.com. Astrology apps. Oh, alive. Reading comments. Dead. Yeah, I love that for you. That's my game. Thank you so much for me.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Yes. That's it. Do you want more? No, I don't. Air friars. Dead. But if I weren't to use it, yes, if I weren't to cook, alive. Okay, okay, okay. You don't cook. Well, no, I do cook, but I cook old school. Oh, what, tell me
Starting point is 01:03:58 what that means. Yeah, I just like, like I'm lasagna. I still fry my meatballs, chicken cutlets, veal cutlets. If I'm having them, I'm frying them. Oh, great. Yeah. Oh, you're old school. I like that. Yeah. That's, it tastes better that way. Yeah. If I cook up, I'm old school, yeah. Yeah. You also came to the Dominican Republic where a group of us, it was so crazy. We're filming the show. We're all healing together. It's sad. It's funny. It's dramatic. It's hilarious. And we're all sitting there and Kim Zolsiak is reading my palm telling me I'm going to have a baby girl in the near future and how I've already had two failed relationships and I'm like and she's right she's crazy and I was like oh my favorite is Teresa Caputo and I was like oh my gosh same I love her she was
Starting point is 01:04:39 on my podcast and you walked in the door and we were all like like screaming goosebumps because we were just talking about you that was crazy and I this is I always say this people like watching my show they would be like, oh, that couldn't be real. No, that was a real moment. Like, it was, you could not even make that. Everyone was freaking out. They're like, you don't understand. They were just talking about you before you walked in. I literally was walking in and I'm like, I hear Kim mentioned my name. And I'm like, oh, God, does she know that I'm here? Because I hadn't spoken to her in like six months. We had no idea you were just waiting in the wings to come through. And it was crazy. It was so beautiful because I feel like we were removed from our phones. We were more open. I feel like that.
