Off The Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe - Wells Adams | 10 Years of Bachelor Nation & Marriage with Sarah Hyland!

Episode Date: September 8, 2026

#978. Wells Adams has spent the last decade watching Bachelor Nation fall in love, fall apart, and occasionally make very questionable decisions from the other side of a bar — so at this po...int, he’s seen some things.Wells and Kaitlyn get into what he can spot almost immediately on Bachelor in Paradise, what contestants tell the bartender that they may not tell anyone else, and why he actually prefers NOT knowing everything the producers know behind the scenes. Then Wells opens up about life with Sarah Hyland, the rule they’ve had since the beginning of their relationship that still guides their marriage today, and how they’re navigating months of long distance while she’s in London — including the one rule they have about how long they’ll go without seeing each other. And before he leaves, Kaitlyn puts ten years of Bachelor Nation knowledge to the test with a round of trivia that proves Wells may know the beach a whole lot better than he knows the franchise history. If you’re LOVING this podcast, please follow and leave a rating and review below! You're listening to Off the Vine with Caitlin Bristow. Hey everybody, welcome to Off the Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow. You first met Wells Adams on Jojo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette. Then he went to Bachelor in Paradise, somehow ended up behind the bar instead of dating anyone. And then nearly a decade later, they still haven't let him leave. He's our favorite bartender. Wells has built a career that goes way beyond handing people tequila on a beach. He's a host, a podcaster, a self-proclaimed golf sicko, husband to the incredible Sarah Highland. Now, we talk about it all. We catch up on.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Sarah, his marriage with Sarah, how they're doing long distance while she's in London crushing the theater world. We're talking about behind the scenes of Paradise Bar, how Bachelor Nation has changed since our era, why women are suddenly getting into golf, his advice for them, and a lot of weird in between. So here is Wells Adams. Do you like the, okay, I took the label off, but the- Do you want you to move this, by the way? No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:01:53 I didn't actually mean to take the label off. It just ripped, but it's one of those, like, protein drinks, but it tastes just like chocolate milk. Yeah. And then I was thinking, because I was like, oh, I got a milk mustache. And then I was thinking about how weird that those commercials were back in the day just got milk. And it was just celebrities getting paid so much money to just have a milk mustache forcing us to drink milk. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Not weird. Yeah. And also, I don't, it's, I think it's weird when adults drink milk. Yeah, me too. Like, no offense to your chocolate milk. No, this is just me getting my protein in. Yeah. But like, you know, brand so funny.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Brandy has like all these stomach issues. Yeah. So she's like, I'm lactose. She's like, I'm, you know, I can't eat bread and I can't all this stuff. And I was like, do you drink milk? And she was like, all day long. And I'm like, you're an adult that drinks milk all day long. And she's like, yeah, but that's not one of the allergies.
Starting point is 00:02:42 And I was like, let's just try to cut out the milk for a week. Let's just see what happens. Yeah. And did she? No, she won't do it. She's from Wisconsin or something. I feel like that's such a mid. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:53 My girlfriend, who used to be a producer on the show, she's from Wisconsin and she used to have milk breaks at school. Did you guys do that growing up? Was this an American thing or is this just? No, I didn't have that. Like, they would come with trays. We would have milk in like the lunch. Sure.
Starting point is 00:03:08 But they would have milk breaks to like refuel like if they didn't have it. Their bones were going to disintegrate or something. I was just thinking about it. I'm like that is so, milk was such a weird like. Yeah, I'm like, I'll be sexual. Yeah. Because I think that's at the heart of it. You're like, why would be doing that?
Starting point is 00:03:23 I do. Because you also have the same theory as me of chickens, the eggs being their chicken periods. It's not a theory. It just is. It's an unfertilized egg. Yeah. And the yolk is their period. And what is the white stuff? I don't know that. Okay. Also, they're dinosaurs. Did you know that? Yeah, of course. Oh, okay. Yeah, everybody knows that.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Anyways, dude. Oh, yeah, duh. Watch a movie, Caitlin. Also, I had to tell you that you influenced me on the protein Cheerios. I'm a freak right now. I'm one of those that's like, oh, protein I own. You even wrote I've been influenced or something. Yeah, I literally got protein Cheerios. Yeah. They're good. They're wonderful.
Starting point is 00:04:00 I mean, listen, cherries are great. Yeah. But it was so funny that they made me like drink milk out of the bowl and I'm like, I'm an adult. I don't drink milk. I eat Cheerios and like a little bag. I also find it weird when people drink cereal milk because I'm like, ew, you're just drinking like milk with crumbs.
Starting point is 00:04:14 It's already weird that you're drinking milk. Now you're going to drink it with like milk from milk. That's so gross to me. Anywho, I was reflecting so much thinking about you coming on the podcast today. Have we started, by the way? Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's all in there.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Oh, yeah. There's just my weirdo thoughts that come out when, you know, I was thinking about TikToks to do with you. And I was like, you know the one where their spirit leaves their body and they like come up from the chair? No. Oh, you don't? No. It's been around for years. It's like when the spirit leaves the body and they're like, or it's like when you are gossiping with friends and you're tired.
Starting point is 00:04:50 But somebody says, did you hear about blah, blah? And they're like all of a sudden they rise from the dead. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was thinking about saying that when it's like when the maturity leaves your body. because I just get around you and I want to talk about chicken periods and farts or something. But I did want to talk about the fact that we've been 10 years of Bachelor Nation. Yeah. Is that true?
Starting point is 00:05:08 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, 2016 is when I started. Yeah. I guess I'm like 12 if we really think about it. Yeah. Which is crazy. I know.
Starting point is 00:05:16 We are old. We are old. We look great, though. We do look good. That's all that matter. We do look good. I dare I say we look better. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:26 You know? I think I look better. I do too. I think we both do. You literally haven't aged. In fact, you might have gone backwards. Your skin is great. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:05:34 What have you been doing? I'm Portuguese. Is that just it? Yeah. Oh, that's nice. My mother, I won't say how old she is, but she's up there. Yeah. She looks great.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Really? And she doesn't wear sunscreen at all. She plays tennis every single day. Wow. And she's tan and looks amazing. Yeah. And so I know you're supposed to wear sunscreen, but I just don't do it. It's debatable now.
Starting point is 00:05:55 That's a whole thing. thing where people think you're not supposed to you. Some people argue and some people think you're supposed to get up and tan your butt hole and get the early morning sun in. You don't do that? I do. Yeah. Okay, good. I don't. I've had to be in New York City on my terrace, just like, I'm new here. Holding onto your ankles. Yeah. I just stand in the old asshole. I, in New York City, I feel like that would fly. Weird shit happens here. Oh, yeah. The weirdest. Well, you know that you can be topless in Sheep's Ranch here. Really? Sheep's Meadow, excuse me.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Yeah. Interesting. They freed the nipple in like the 90s. Good for them. Wow. Sarah and I were out hanging out there. Like there's a guy who like walks around with like alcohol Capri Sons and sells them to you. And so we were like, we'll get some of those.
Starting point is 00:06:43 And then a bunch of girls took their tops off. And I was like, what's happening right now? And Sarah's like, oh, this is New York, baby. We freed the nipple years ago. I was like, wow, really. They're so ahead of their time. Totally. New Yorkers.
Starting point is 00:06:54 God, that's great. This will be us where we jump all over the place, but I'm going to go back. Okay, sorry. No, don't be. I feel like we came from a different era of the show, but when you think back to Wells on Jojo's season versus Wells now, what person, like what part of you do not recognize anymore? Like, who is that and who are you now? Yeah, I thought I was so cool back then. Same.
Starting point is 00:07:21 I and like, because I was a, I really was a hipster. Yeah. Living in East Nashville and it was like a lot of leather jackets. I wrote a motorcycle around. That is cool though. Like a cafe race or two. I was a lot of slouchy beanies. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:07:38 You were the slouchy beanie. Oh yeah. I know. That was like my trademark for a while. And now I'm like the most country club looking kid in the world, which is probably more realistic of like my upbringing really than the the cool motorcycle guy but when I look at those pictures I'm like one like good for you for having like the confidence the confidence to do that yeah like a lot of skinny jeans yeah uh I don't think I can pull it off now but I don't know I think
Starting point is 00:08:06 I'm the I'm the kind of the same person yeah I have not I think the one of the reasons why I haven't gotten a lot of like really great hosting jobs is because I've stayed like silly uh I often feel that Yeah, I think you and I are cut from the same cloth for sure. But then I think about it like, well, I have to be who I am. I'd go crazy, you know? Yes. And I think you get the right. You might get not as many opportunities, but you get the right opportunities for you.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Yeah. I mean, like for so long, I wanted to host Paradise, right? Yeah. And now, like, looking back, I think, well, yeah, I could see like the audience being like, I don't know if I could take him seriously. I get that. behind the bar, him cracking jokes is fine. So I understand. But yeah, like, looking back, I was, we were such, such different people back then. I know. I was the same, though. I literally
Starting point is 00:08:58 thought I was the coolest. I was like, I'm obviously going to win. Yeah. Nobody can touch me. And I just thought like my, I was, I also went in night one thinking I was going to be the drunk girl that got sent home night one. So I threw out all my best jokes on night one. And then I was like, oh, no, I'm still here. It was crazy. But I also feel the same way with when I was hosting those two seasons of Bachelorette, I was like, how is anyone going to take me seriously? Like it was, it's so, I agree because I always wanted that job too of hosting. And now looking back, first of all, I couldn't do it because that's so much work. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:34 You don't, like, Jesse Palmer, I don't know how he has a second job, third, four, whatever he does. He does a lot. Yeah. And I'm like, how do you have time for anything? You're three seasons, Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelorette. well, now it's all just messed up, but it's just, it really is. You might have lost a couple jobs. For real.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Well, I saw Ashley, I made a comment the other day that she doesn't think it'll air after all of this. And then Taylor Frankie Paul commented underneath it and said, why do I have a different opinion and still think it's going to air? And I'm like, tell us. I mean, do you want to hear my opinion? Of course. I think they'll air it because I think they want Paradise to come back.
Starting point is 00:10:14 and I think they want to introduce the audience to these guys. Yeah. Because it would be really hard if we went and did Paradise. Because I went to the like Hulu ABC Get Real thing. And Rob Mills came out and said, it's coming back. And I'm like, all right. You know, from your mouth to God's ear. I hope that's true because I love doing that show.
Starting point is 00:10:33 But I was thinking about it. Like it would be weird if you're doing that show and a bunch of people showed up that no one had any background of. Right. You know? So if they really are serious about wanting to do. do Paradise. I think you probably do have to air it, maybe on Hulu and not on ABC. That's what I was thinking. But we'll see what happens. I do feel bad for those guys because they went. They took a lot of time off to do the show. I think they were probably expecting some things to come out of it
Starting point is 00:11:01 that didn't end up happening. Yeah. And they seem like a great group. Yeah, sure. I don't know. Well, we met like a few of them, but I was like, oh, they seemed like really fun, outgoing. I feel like they probably cast, you know, Taylor, obviously, we know a lot about her already. And so I feel like they cast guys that maybe weren't like cookie cut as cookie cutter as the rest. But I don't know. I hope that too. But Bachelor in Paradise, if Rob Mills says it's coming back, it's coming back. I hope so because that show is so much fun to do.
Starting point is 00:11:28 And I also like, I know I'm a little bit biased, but I think it's the best show. No offense when you hosted it was yours was the best. But like it's the most fun. It's like silly and stuff. No, I agree. I think people love Paradise the most. Yeah. I really think, and you have like arguably one of the most unique jobs on television for that.
Starting point is 00:11:46 You get to just be a bartender and, but you work hard. I don't want to take that away from you because you got to actually bartend. Yeah, and then stir the pot a little bit. And stir the pot and be like a therapist. Yeah. It's weird though. When I first started doing it, I was a peer to everyone, right? Like I had just come off the show.
Starting point is 00:12:05 And everyone was kind of my age. Yeah. And now I do it and I'm like, oh, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like the old guy. I know. What's that movie where they're like, I keep getting older and they stay the same age? Yeah, a fast, no, um, days are confused. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Yeah, it's like that. It's crazy because they really, well, how old were you when you did the show? Well, that's the thing. I was old doing the show. Same. I was 32 starting the show. Yeah, because I'm 42 now. It's 10 years.
Starting point is 00:12:32 Wow. Yes. I was 30. Yeah. And I was, I remember I was one of the oldest guys on our season. I think the only person that was older than me was Evan. And I was like, man, I don't know if I'm going to be able to relate. And then watching it back, I was like, I'd look younger than all these guys.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Totally. Also, I feel. Like no muscle mask. Just he looks like a child. You still fit in with the young kids. Like if you're, but now it's kind of better. I feel like having an older, wiser, unc to be there to give advice makes more sense. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:05 I mean, I have to, I guess, kind of leave. into it. And now the bit is like, you know, when they're like, that's mid or whatever, like, they're using their slang. I'm like, well, I don't know what that means. That's stupid. It is stupid, though. But then I totally remember, like, when I was younger and like my sister, who's like, Gen X, would be like, what did you say? Yeah. That's heliotite. Shut up. Hellatite. Remember when people used to say, that's mint? No. Maybe that was Canadian. Yeah, that sounds Canadian. Did you guys know that term? That's mint. Yeah. See, it's you. That's so mint. I don't know. I think it's so funny.
Starting point is 00:13:39 What do you think? Because people really lean on you in that show. What do you think contestants tell you and the bartender? Because you know how when you go like a hairdresser, your trainer, and I feel like the bartender really get the juice and the tea, as the kids would say? What do you think they would tell you that they would never tell a producer? You know, usually when I get them, they are in a very vulnerable state, right? Because generally, if you're coming to the bar, you're like, I need to drink. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Right? So I'm getting you in a spot that a producer might not get when they're like, hey, come over here and you're just like been sitting talking to somebody. Right. When I get them, they're like, you know, I need a stiff margarita, please. And then I can be like, what's going on? Yeah. And then it becomes easy because they're like, they're upset about something generally or stress out about something. And they want to get it off their chest.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Uh-huh. And I'm a very, you know, non-judgmental. So I'm like, yeah, no, I get it. Like, always cleaning a glass. I was just going to say, you're always cleaning a glass. Yeah, yeah. No one likes a bartender's like not doing things with his hands, you know? I'm always like, always also like making other drinks that aren't for anybody because then I'll just taste them.
Starting point is 00:14:54 You're like, that's pretty good idea. Like working on different recipes. Yeah. But yeah, I get them in a vulnerable state. And that's why that job works so well on that show, I think. Well, and I think people just love you as the bartender. because one, you're a familiar face, two, you're just very, like, relatable and lovable. And then three, you're funny and you give good advice.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Yeah. And I also think that it's very obvious that I'm off limits, right? Like, I'm married and everyone kind of knows who my wife is. That's true. And so I think that disarms everyone. I think it disarms women because they're like, he's not looking at me like a piece of me. And it disarms the guys because they're like, you know, I, I've nothing worry about with him.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Uh-huh. And I think that's helpful as well. Yeah, I agree. And after doing this for so many seasons, can you immediately tell when someone is genuinely falling for someone versus when they're like aware they're making television and want to stay for a rose? 100%. Do you call people out or can you?
Starting point is 00:15:54 Or do you have to just roll with it? I don't want. I never want to like make someone look bad. Yeah. Like my whole thing is like I'm trying to help them not look bad on TV. Yeah. And like, that's usually how the show starts is I'll be like, everyone will come out on the bar and I'll, and I do this kind of whole pomp and circumstance.
Starting point is 00:16:09 I'm like, put the cameras down. Let's have a conversation. I went through. I was in your spot. I know exactly the trials and tribulations that you're going through. I understand all the anxieties that you've got. My job isn't to make you look bad at TV. And in fact, if I think you are going to look bad,
Starting point is 00:16:23 I'm going to tell you so you can stop that. But people don't always listen. And they also don't know if, I'm not sure if they think that I really have their best intentions in hand. But I truly don't want anyone to, to look bad. That's nice of you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:41 I would be the opposite. But I do stir the pot. Yeah. Because the other thing is that I can't stand it when it doesn't make sense. When like all of a sudden someone's not talking to someone and I'm like, hold on, what's going on? And then they don't want to talk about it because they don't want to air the laundry. But I'm like, yeah, but it's going to be weird if we watch on TV and all of a sudden we don't have a story that go along with like why this is happening. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:05 It's confusing or they'll just cut it out and now you're not part of the show. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. But yeah, I can, you know, it's usually like in the first couple days where you're like, well, they're going to get engaged. Like, it's 100%. And then you have like the slow burns, which are kind of nice. Then you have people who are just like, I just want to make TV.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Right. But those guys and girls are fun too because they are down to clown and they'll play, especially in a show like Paradise where. You need some levity and some comedy. And usually people who are like, like I used to always say that the show was, it was reality TV all stars. It was like, you're very good at this. We saw that on The Bachelor of The Bachelorette. Now we want you to come and do it even like, get at a more like exaggerated sense.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Yeah. So even the people that like are just there for TV, I still appreciate because they serve a purpose, which is like making fun TV. Oh, you need them. Yeah. I'm actually getting a lot better about drinking water. I have really been working on it, especially when I'm working out. That's when I really get it in. But I've learned that sometimes water alone isn't just enough. If I've had a really sweaty workout, I've been traveling or it's just one of those nonstop days, I can drink water all day and just still feel like I need a little something
Starting point is 00:18:24 more. And that is why instant hydration has been coming in clutch for me. It is a premium electrolyte drink mix. It supports hydrogen, energy, recovery, and focus and it has zero sugar, so there's no sugar spike or that crash. And what surprised me most is actually the taste. It's so refreshing. It's smooth without that super salty or chalky taste, so it's something that I actually want to drink. They also use authentic French gray sea salt imported from France, so fancy, which naturally contains trace minerals, and you're going to get sodium, potassium, magnesium, plus aquamin, which is an ocean-sourced mineral complex. I really have been loving instant hydration around my workouts on those long days, busy days when I want to make

The second I get even like a hint that fall is coming, I suddenly want my entire house to just participate, I guess. I want cozy. I want candles. I want pumpkins. And then Halloween hits. And apparently I'm emotionally invested in finding the perfect little spooky things for every corner. I love Halloween. And Wayfair makes it dangerously, I repeat, dangerously easy to get in the spirit. They have thousands of options

Wayfair, every style, every home. You as a bartender, you kind of have to be in with production, too. Like, do you guys, do you talk about what's happening if you haven't been filled in? Or do you have to, like, put the pieces together while you're bartending? You know, we've tried it both ways where like producers will be like, this is what's going on, and which can be helpful. But for the most part, I've always been like, don't tell me what's going on because I want to have an honest reaction to what is going on.
Starting point is 00:21:16 And also, like, my whole thing is that I think that my voice on that show is supposed to be the audience's voice. Which is why you see me an interview a lot being like, what is going on? I don't understand, you know, because the audience doesn't want to feel crazy. And so if I know too much than me saying, I don't know what's going on, doesn't make any sense. So I would rather not know everything. That's a good point. I would want to be the same way. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:42 But it's also, it is helpful like, let's say we have a rose ceremony. And, you know, like the last season we did, it was like Justin, Susie, Sam, like a bunch of people went home one night. And I'm not trying to stay up into 4 o'clock in the morning watching that stuff. So the next morning, I was like, what happened? And then they'd be like, well, let's actually set up the bar and why don't they all come and tell you what happened? Because it's a lot. And I'm like, all right, cool. Yeah, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:22:10 When you saw Serena and Joe, did you know they were going to make it? He did. 100%. Aren't they just the best? And it's funny because when he was with the girl beforehand, I did not think that was right. Interesting. Yeah. And I think I even told him.
Starting point is 00:22:26 I was like, I don't know. I'm not sure about this. And I was also like, I think they're going to make you the bachelor. I don't know if you should leave here. You know? That's true. He was considered for a minute there. For sure.
Starting point is 00:22:38 And then, you know, and then he went and did Dancing with the Stars because of that. But yeah, I remember. And we put Joe through so much, which, well, now looking back, that was, you know, a cakewalk considering, you know, he just had brain surgery. No kidding. But we put him through so much. Like what? Well, we brought that girl back.
Starting point is 00:23:02 Oh, right. Oh, yeah. And, you know, she tried to get him to leave. And the Serena's like, what is going on? But he's so cool, calm and collected. He really is. And he like got it too. He was like, I know what you guys are trying to do.
Starting point is 00:23:13 I kind of appreciate it. Like, I understand, you know? He is such a team player. But also, I feel like that's how he's walked through this journey with having a brain tumor too. He's like, yeah, I'm going to get through it. Like, we'll figure it out. Like, even though he was, I think he was really freaking out. But very.
Starting point is 00:23:29 like accepting of what it was and going to get there. And then Serena's just fucking angel. An actual earth angel. I mean, all you Canadians are so freaking sweet. And like? Yeah, you are very nice. Okay. You're not as sweet as Serena.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Nobody is. No one is. She is literally. When I hang around her, I'm like, she's just a tiny little Polly Pocket who's a saint. Like she's just so, she's such a light and she's so sweet and kind and just tiny. Have you met her mom and her sister? Okay. Are they the same? They are. Everyone in that family is so beautiful. It's ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Because I married them, right? Like I officiated their wedding. I forgot about that. Yeah. So I got to like meet the entire brood. And they were so lovely. And then I filmed the show. I hosted a cooking show, a baking show called Sweet. No, Sweet Empire is a different one for Food Network. And it was in Toronto. And I didn't really know anyone in Toronto except for Serena. So I was like, where do I go eat? And so she like gave me this entire. lists and I was like checking them off. And I love, by the way, where are you from? You're from like Other side. Yeah. Anyways, I love Toronto. You do? The food scene is insane. It really is. I agree. That's
Starting point is 00:24:40 my favorite part about Toronto. It really is. I would like the list from her because I want to try it. Have you talked to Joe since his surgery? So, yes, it's so funny. I saw him. It's not funny, actually. I was funny like, ha ha. Well, I saw him at the U.S. Open this year. I was out there for the Golf Channel. I saw him there and I know Joe so well. I've known him for so long. He is like one of my closest bachelor people, friends. And I didn't see him in a while. And I saw him in and I was like, you look so thin. Like what's going on? Are you sick? Almost like it was, it was really more of like, I was almost like an ozempic joke of like, what's going on? You on the vitamin O? And then he was like, actually, I've been meaning to tell you. And so I found out like a little bit beforehand. And I was,
Starting point is 00:25:27 I was like, oh my gosh, your heart message just dropped. Yeah. And I was like, okay, you need to keep me abreast of like everything that's happening. And so I've been, I don't want to be, I know everyone's coming at him. Yeah. So like I'll wait. I'll do like every week, like a text of like, hey man, just how's, how's everything going? Like how you feeling?
Starting point is 00:25:46 Like what are they saying? So I think he's doing really well. Yeah. It's going to take a while. But if anyone can, you know, can knock that thing out. is Joe. He's such a badass. He really is. I just love him. Yes. Okay. My last question
Starting point is 00:26:03 before golf. Yeah. Is there a job you desperately want that people would be surprised to hear? I would like, well, okay, game show host. You were born for that. I would really like to be a game show host. I don't know if like that's still popular. It doesn't matter. That makes sense. Yeah, I've done a few for like concept ideas for, network so they'll have me come in and do it.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Like I did want, it was for Rob Lowe. Yeah. Like he had an idea. And but I think he didn't want to host like the test. Yeah, yeah. They let me do it. Fun. And I remember they were like, you know, possibly you could be the host of this.
Starting point is 00:26:42 And I was like, sweet. And then Roblo came. And I was like, no, I'm not. Roblo is going to be the host of this. But it's really fun. You get to be goofy and, you know, I do think of myself as like witty. And I think you got to be kind of quick in those things. And then now that I've gotten into golf, like now I know that this sounds crazy, but like I think I'd like to be in the booth.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Like I would like to be announcing. Oh, I could see that. Yeah, I think that would be cool. Look, this is like, do you know who Paul Bissonnet is, biz nasty in the hockey world? Yeah. Okay. What he did for hockey, he took being on the panel and doing commentary and made it so fun. And now I actually like watching those in between moments in hockey.
Starting point is 00:27:26 because he's on the panel and it's hilarious. It's like him shooting the shit with guys and like he's he's just so entertaining and goofy and able to be himself. I feel like you could do that for golf. Yeah. You know, like right now there's a guy named Kevin Kisner who is a player. But he's in the booth and he's just really funny. He's like a Southern guy who's just hilarious.
Starting point is 00:27:47 And his tone is like, I think you're right, like is perfect because golf can be kind of a stuffy. You got a whisper and all this stuff. Yeah, yeah. And it's like, no, I think. you need to be, you know, you need to be funny. You need to take the piss out of yourself a little bit. Yep. Um, which he does a good job. And I, so I agree with you. And also golf has become now so mainstream. Yeah. That like, you know, you have like the mal bonds of the world that like making it look cool. And it's not like your, your grandparents golf. It's like a whole new thing. LeBron James is playing golf and Kevin Hart is playing.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Like all these. Justin Bieber. Just a bear feet. Yeah. I. I. He was at my club recently. Yeah. Sorry, I need to calm down when people talk about senior. I'm like, that's my one person that I really freak out about. Yeah, we have a, at our club, you have to have your shirt tucked in to play golf. And his pants were pulled down and not.
Starting point is 00:28:43 He did not have his shirt tucked in. And so I think someone came up to him was like, hey, you need to tuck your shirt in. And I can only imagine how terrifying that must be to have to tell Justin Bieber, hey, your style is not up to par. Yeah, that's crazy because I feel like a lot of people would just be like, that let them do it. But it's etiquette. No, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Wow. He did it too. He did his credit. He's Canadian. Yeah. Of course he did. Sweet guy. I feel like golf is suddenly having a moment with women.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Not that it wasn't before, but it's more so now. Your team actually sent us this wild stat that women and girls account for 52% of golf's net growth. Yeah. So why are, why are. why are we all into golf now? Are we like, the men, if the men are doing it? Yeah, we can do it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:32 I think it's a couple things. When I grew up, I grew up playing golf and it wasn't cool. Yeah. Like, I distinctly remember being made fun of for being on the golf team. Plus. And like, I still played football and soccer, so I was like still mad. Yeah, you're like, I'm just doing a bro. Jokes on all those idiots, though.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Yeah. I'm good at golf and you guys are all playing and you suck. Yeah. I'm pretty good. Suckers. So I think back then it wasn't cool. I think, honestly, I think Michael Jordan is who changed it. He is, you know, arguably the greatest athlete of all time.
Starting point is 00:30:08 And he's obsessed with golf. And then once that started happening, all these other athletes started following suit. Yeah. And athletes are cool. And so now everyone's seeing these cool people play golf and celebrities play golf. And so now younger people all want to do it. And the one thing that golf has over every other sport and almost like every other thing, so few times in life do you get to get dressed up for stuff these days, right?
Starting point is 00:30:37 That's true. Golf is the one where like you can show your style off, which is fun. Yeah. And not to say that like women only care about fashion. No, but it is a runway. What a fun thing to like you get to go play golf. It's effectively you're walking in a park and maybe getting drunk for like four and half hours, but then also like look cute and like show off your your style at the country club.
Starting point is 00:30:59 I think that's, that's why my wife likes coming to the club. She likes to get dressed up and get a glass of wine. It's the best. Yeah. So I think that, I mean, and I'm happy that girls and women are getting into it because it's such a fun game. It is. Yeah. And I feel like you like, there's not a lot of things that force you to get into the good old outdoors anymore, you know? And this you're just, I don't know, I feel like you're in the trees and you're with nature and it's quiet and it's nice. I mean, you can turn up if you want to, but I love golfing. And every time I go and get a little better, I love it more and more. And the fashion is a big part of it.
Starting point is 00:31:40 And there needs to be a better girl's fashion line out there. Maybe this is something I need to get into. Yeah. Because talk to my wife. She has ideas. Okay. I will. I will talk to your wife about it.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Thank you. Well, she's a little busy right now. but yeah. Never too busy to make some money. I promise you that. Okay, good. I have that in common. Okay, I do genuinely love to cook. So I'll start the day fully planning on making dinner that night. I know what I want to make. I have every intention of doing it. And then somehow the day gets away from me and suddenly it's 7.30 p.m. and I'm like, wait, how are we already like past dinner? Living in New York does make it very easy in that moment to say, okay, but should we just grab a slice or go out because there's approximately a million good restaurants just right outside of my door.
Starting point is 00:32:22 But this is why I love having tempo meals ready in my fridge for those nights. So Tempo delivers fresh chef-crafted dietitian-approved meals right to your door. What are things that beginners think people care about that literally nobody cares about? Yeah, I think that everyone thinks that everyone's remembering every shot you hit. And I got to be honest with you, no one cares. One of my favorite lines is you'll start caring a lot less about what people think of you and you realize how little they think of you. And that's so true in the golf course. That's in life. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. But it's extremely true in the golf course. And like your anxiety about holding people up is just a testament that you understand the game. And so if you have that thought in your
Starting point is 00:35:20 mind, then you have good etiquette. And my thing is, is that, like, listen, if you are on your, like, ninth shot of the hole, you can just, just pick up. That's true. Don't worry about it. We're good. You know, you do want to keep pace going. Or, like, dude, you're not playing in the masters. Move the ball from the woods into the middle of Fairway. That's what I do. No one cares. Yeah. But yeah, no one, it's so funny, this is a name drop me story, but it's true and it happened to me. I got invited to go play with Jason Bateman at Bel Air once. Wow, that's a good one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:53 And I love Jason Bateman. Me too. And I was so excited and also very nervous. And I was teamed up with him. So it was Bateman and myself versus two other guys. And I played terribly. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:07 So much so that at the end of the round, he shook my hand. He goes, you know who wins the Spirit Award? Wells. He played terribly. But you know what? He always had a good attitude. And I took that and I was like mortified. Like, oh my God, he gave me the Spirit Awards.
Starting point is 00:36:26 I played so badly. So I was, thanks for coming out, little buddy. I know. And I couldn't like shake it. And I like told my wife and everyone, I was just like, I'm so embarrassed. And then we had him out to our club. And I played with him. And in the middle of the round, I was like, Baitman, I got to be honest.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Like you saying I won the Spirit Award like broke my heart. And he goes, wait, we've played golf together? Oh, God. And I was like, it was that that moment where I was like, no one gives a shit about anything you do on the golf course. They're only concerned about their own thing. That is so funny. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:03 That is so, that reminds me of another name dropy. But again, it's very humbling at the end of the day is Amy Schumer was on my season. And she like, we were this after my season. She was like, come to New York. You can have my apartment. like we had FaceTime. And then like a couple years later, she was in Hawaii at the same time as me. And I was like, hey, I text her.
Starting point is 00:37:24 I'm like, I'm in Hawaii. And she's like, who is this? Yeah. And I was like, oh, God. And then I was like, it's Caitlin. She was like, oh, hey, girl. Yeah, we already left. I was like, okay.
Starting point is 00:37:31 And then again, I texted her another time. And she was like, who is this? I'm like, okay, I'm done. We are done here. But that is a good story, though. Yeah. But that makes a good point as well. Yeah, no one cares.
Starting point is 00:37:42 No one cares. My favorite line about golf is it's okay to be bad. Just be bad fast. Oh, that's good. Yeah. I had a thought when you're, oh, also, I don't know if I told you the story. I think I've said it on my podcast before, but Chris Harrison invited me to this huge tournament once. It was a Tiger Woods.
Starting point is 00:37:59 And it was like Tiger Woods and a couple of the Jonas brothers and Mark Wahlberg and all these big names. And I took golf lessons for like a week before going. And then I talked to him. I was like, should I bring my own clubs? He goes, oh, honey, you're not golfing. Yeah. We just teach you to do social media. Yeah, and I was like, but I was just like, I was in good company.
Starting point is 00:38:20 I was happy to be there. Okay, we were saying that Sarah's a little busy. So is she already in London or is she going soon? She's in London. She's in London right now. Okay, you just celebrated four years of marriage also. So congratulations. Your wedding was so far.
Starting point is 00:38:35 We are saying it is six years. Oh. And I'll tell you why. Please. You were at my wedding. It was so fun. It was. I wish I was invited to that wedding.
Starting point is 00:38:47 It was very fun. It was one of the most fun weddings I've been to. Yeah. Because we were, you know, we were a pandemic wedding. We were supposed to be married in 2020. And then we ended up getting married in 2022. And, you know, we were supposed to be married. And then, you know, in like 2019 or 2020, we bought a house together.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Like, we did all the things you do when you're married. And it's a pet peeve of mine that people are like, oh, it's only four years. I'm like, no, I want credit. it for those two years. Yes. Especially during a pandemic, which like everyone was breaking up with everyone because they couldn't stand being around them 24 hours a day. It was very telling in that time.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Yeah. Wait, um, I wouldn't say, oh, only four years. I think that's a good amount of, well, it's me. So I'm like, I'm like four years. Holy shit, that's a long time. I could never. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But that seems like a long time.
Starting point is 00:39:39 And because you guys have been together for like, what, nine years? Yeah, I don't know. Well, no. Oh, eight? Yeah, eight. Okay. Oh, sorry. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:49 You're like, no, eight. Well, nine seems like a lot. It does, right? Yeah. But yeah, I get that. Your wedding was, it was like the whole thing. It wasn't just the wedding. The wedding was spectacular.
Starting point is 00:39:59 And it was so you guys and beautiful and just everything about it. But it was the whole like few days of where it was, the people that were there, the way it all was organized. Oh, it was so good. I know. You know what's funny about our anniversary is that we're joking. We haven't been taking. together on our anniversary the past three years. Well, y'all are busy.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Yeah, because she's in London right now doing cabaret on the West End. Which is huge. Last year she was doing Broadway. The year before that, she was doing Broadway. So I suggested, I was like, maybe we should change our anniversary to like December 28th. Great. When we know, like, we won't be working and we'll be together. There are no rules.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Yeah. Make your own rules. I know. I like that. But then it's funny, my mom got remarried and she got married on December 28th. And I'd even clock it, but I said it out loud. And she goes, no, we are not having the same anniversary as your mother. I was like, yeah, yeah, fair, fair, fair.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Okay, 29th it is. That's crazy. You guys met when you were already public. You're both public people with established careers. What was the hardest part of building a normal marriage inside two very abnormal careers? Um, I don't know. I mean, I don't know. Scheduling?
Starting point is 00:41:13 Yeah. I think that, yeah, we have a very unique life. Yeah. Right. And so the one rule that we made kind of in the beginning was work always trumps anything else. I don't want you to hold me back from like what I want to do. And I definitely don't want to be holding you back from what you want to do. So that's a hard thing for, I think, a lot of people to like wrap their brains around.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Because they think it should be the other person first, not the career. Yeah. And like. The relationship first. She's going to be in London for six months, once doing cabaret. It's one time. And I think, like, my parents are like, that must be really hard. And I'm like, yeah, it is hard, but like, that's a cool thing.
Starting point is 00:41:54 It's really cool. You know, so. And how fun to miss each other. Yeah. And also, like, there are airplanes. I can go see you. You get to go to London. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Yeah. That's, I actually think that, well, that's also her dream since she was little right to do Broadway. And now she gets to, like, she had such a successful career on TV. And now she gets to live the dream of Broadway and, like, be doing that. But it is a lot. Like, what does she have two shows a day every day? Or no, it's eight shows a week.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Eight shows a week. Yeah. I mean, it's a lot. And it's also like every actor that does theater, they want to do Broadway and then they want to do the West End. Like those are the two. And then when a Tony, I think, are the three things you want to do in theater. And it's pretty cool that she can say that she did Broadway and the West End in the same calendar year. You know?
Starting point is 00:42:38 That is incredible. So, and then also this role, Sally Bowles, have you ever seen Cabaret? Yes. So, so funny. Like, I was a hipster that was like into music. I wasn't into theater. I was always in the theater. But of course now, like, it's sexually transmitted that like I love theater.
Starting point is 00:42:54 Right. And I remember every show that I've loved, I went in being like, I'm not going to like this. Like when I think a cabaret, I'm like, oh, this is going to be like, you know, I don't know what I. I was like, it's going to be, you know, high kicks and like like a like RuPaul drag race. I don't know what I'm, you know. I was like, I'm not going to like this. And then come to find out, it's like this crazy story about this cabaret dancer in Germany right before World War II. I'm like, wow, there's history involved.
Starting point is 00:43:26 There's Nazis? It's like an Indiana Jones movie. This is amazing. So she's always wanted, like, I think a dream role of hers. And for like a lot of theater people is to be Sally Bowles. Yeah. It's insane. And then getting to do it over there is also very.
Starting point is 00:43:43 cool. It's really cool. When I found that out, I was like, wow, she is living a lot of people's dreams. How do you guys thrive in long distance? For people that are listening who are doing long distance, what are your tips? Yeah, the rule is you FaceTime, every single time you talk. Yes. I think that's important to see the other person. This one's tough because the hours are so much different. You know, it's like eight hours difference from California. The other thing is that we have like a two-month rule. We can't be away from each other for more than two months. So you kind of figure that out.
Starting point is 00:44:23 And then it always gives you something that's like, it's not too far away. That's helpful. Well, also there's light at the end of the tunnel. It's not like you're like, I don't know what I'll see you next. Like I don't know how long this job will be. It's like, okay, six months, how do we figure this out? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:40 When she was doing Broadway, it was much nicer because we, schedule things out and then like I'd have to go do press for like whatever like something like this right and so then I get like an extra one yeah uh unfortunately that's not going to be the case in London but she's going to be there for the holidays which is going to be cool so I'm going to get to spend Christmas and New Year's in London which it's got to be interesting. Have you been to London? Here's this is what's crazy I got to go to England for the first time like I've been through Heathrow sure but I've never like gone out into London I went to England. I went to England for the first time this past, like a month and a half ago for the British Open or the Open
Starting point is 00:45:20 Championship. And I was like, this is the first time I've ever been in England, which I think is a crazy thing. I've never been to London. Wow. Oh, you're going to love it. I heard the food's great. Food is so good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:30 The food is so good. That was my, well, my favorite part of, I'm not like a big shopper. Food is really where it's at for me when I travel to different places. And London had really good food. Last question. Do you think be married has made you? less romantic because you're comfortable or has it forced you to get better at intentionally keeping that part of your relationship alive?
Starting point is 00:45:51 I don't know. We're both kind of romantic people. Sweet. So I don't know if much has changed. We do this thing where whenever we, because we are apart so much that we always leave each other like hide notes for one another. And like if someone forgets, it's like, I love you more, apparently. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:18 So, yeah, I think we just are both just innately romantic. I'm not sure if anything's changed. Like my love language is cooking for her. So that's an easy thing. And I can make that really romantic, like right before she left. Cooking is romantic. Yeah. For somebody.
Starting point is 00:46:37 It's hot. It's sexy. It is for sure. I went and got like a really good bottle of wine. Actually, it was our wedding wine that my brother had made, but it's a really good bottle. Oh, sweet. We like pop that and we went to like the dining room. We didn't sit like around like the TV, you know.
Starting point is 00:46:55 I like lit candles. Yeah. We put on Edda James on the record player. Yeah. Obsessed. That makes food taste better too. 100%. I know.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Wow. What did you make? I made skirt steak tacos. Wow. Yeah. Say less. Scurts steak tacos with a nice bottle of wine and Eda. Yeah, it's Sarah's favorite, like, dish that I make.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Wow. But yeah. What makes a taco good, though? Like, what is, is it the toppings? Well, I make a good marinade. You want to cook this? Please. This is a good marinade.
Starting point is 00:47:25 I love cooking. Please tell me everything. Okay. So, skirt steak or fling steak for tacos. Okay. Always get that. Then it's soy sauce, like a bunch of soy sauce. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Then ginger. Then chopped raw. raw garlic, cilantro, and something sweet. So it can be like agave, it could be sugar, it could be syrup, whatever. You mix all, that's your marinade. Then you put it in like a big bag with the meat and you put in the refrigerator for like two and a half hours, whatever, then grill it up. And then the most important thing is that the grain of the meat, you need to cook, you need to cut against it. Because then it makes it really, really tender. And then like I'm really good at my my guac is really good.
Starting point is 00:48:11 Yeah. It's also very garlicky, but Sarah and I both like garlic. I love garlic. How do you feel about jarlic? No, terrible. Never use it. Okay. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:48:19 No, that's fine. I also prefer not garlic in a jar, but I didn't know how you felt about it. Yeah. It's convenient, but it's like, it's like almost like a faux paw in the culinary world. Yeah. It's like putting ketchup up steak. Truffle oil. Oh, I hate truffle.
Starting point is 00:48:34 I know. People think it's fancy, but it's not. And it's also a lie. Yeah, it's not real. No, it's not real. I swear one of the weirdest parts of having dogs so far is that you basically become fluent in a language that they don't speak. I know that I need to go outside stare. Let's see how good your knowledge is since, you know, we've officially spent a decade in Bachelor Nation.
Starting point is 00:51:16 You've been a contestant. You've competed on Paradise. Now you've spent years watching it unfold from behind the bar. My question is, have you been paying attention? Yeah. Okay. I'm putting your knowledge to the test. Well, yeah, okay, yes.
Starting point is 00:51:31 I'm starting off easy. Okay. Which Bachelor famously jumped a fence to escape production? Oh, Colton did that. Yeah. Before he came the host of The Bachelor, Jesse Palmer was actually the Bachelor himself. Which season did he lead? That I don't know.
Starting point is 00:51:48 I'm going to go with... I'll give you options. Okay. Three, five, seven. I'm going to go with seven. It's five. Dang. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:51:57 I do know that he offered the woman he picked not a ring, but a plane ticket to just go meet him wherever he was going. Stop. He didn't get engaged. He said here's a plane ticket. Yeah. What's amazing is that he's like one of the one guys who didn't do the thing that they wanted him to do. And then they were like, but now you host it. But now you can host it. That's hilarious. Like I've always thought it would be funny if someone was like came down to the end was like, Jesse, I don't know if I could do it. He's like, you got it. You know, you got to do it. And like, well, you didn't do it. Wait a second. Roll the clip.
Starting point is 00:52:30 That's, I'm going to suggest that to whoever's next. Which Bachelor became infamous for getting to the finale and choosing neither of his final two women? I want to... I like Pilot Pete kind of fucked over that. And then Ari was, that was messy in the end. That was messy. I'm gonna go with Pilot Pete. Nope, Brad Womack.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Oh. Okay, hold on. You got the... None of these questions can be like pre- what was the guy? Es okay, Esoké? Oh, Juan Pablo. Juan Pablo. I didn't, I never watched.
Starting point is 00:53:09 it from before that. Oh, okay. So, like, I know who Brad Walmack is, but I don't, I didn't watch that season. I did. Okay. Which Bachelor and Paradise couple left the beach early together, continued dating outside the show. Nobody thought they'd make it, and they eventually got married.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Um, God. I think Brennan is, is it Brennan and? No. No. Okay, hold on. I'm pretty sure you're friends with them. Oh, Ashley and Jared. No.
Starting point is 00:53:41 Dean and Kaylin. Dean and Kaylin also did it. Did Ashley and Jared leave early? No. No, but they dated and, yeah, okay. Listen to the question. I know, you know it's so funny about that. I remember that so.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Did you think they were going to make it? No. And I thought, okay, let me preface this by saying Dean's like one of my closest friends. And Kaylin and my wife are, they just went to France together. Like, they're great friends. Yeah. So don't be offended by this. but when that when he came back
Starting point is 00:54:13 I brought all the girls around the bar and I was like what do you guys think that is going to happen and everyone's like she's going to leave with him and I was like what? Why? Like you kidding me? That's crazy and they're like oh it's romantic. I'm like, it's romantic.
Starting point is 00:54:32 I was like this is why you guys are on this show because you're making these terrible life decisions and I remember a producer. I remember producer came in and was like, hey, so we're kind of rooting for this one. So can you kind of play it down? And I was like, but also it's so romantic. But you know what, now that I have been thinking about it, that's pretty sweet.
Starting point is 00:54:49 That's hilarious. And they're just like the cutest little happiest couple. Yeah. That's nice. Which franchise has produced the most couples who are still married today? Bachelor, Bachelor, or Bachelor in Paradise? I would say Paradise. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Are you the matchmaker of our generation? Yes. Okay. That's my new Twitter bio. Got to keep it fresh. Who received the first impression rose on my season of The Bachelorette? How, I guess, Sean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Yeah. But that was back, I remember there was a run of Bachelorette where the first impression rose was the winner. Yeah. On our season, Jordan got it. And by the way, that's so funny that moment. I totally thought I was getting the first impression 100%. You did? 100%.
Starting point is 00:55:42 Because I came in with the band. I came in with all for one. saying I swear. Oh my God, I forgot. And I had, and they followed me around the entire night. And she was like, do they just follow you around? I was like, yeah, there's with me. They're with me. Don't worry about it. And I had her like dying, laughing like the entire night. They cut a lot of it out. And I remember when it was time for the, we knew she was about to go pick. And if you watch it back, she walks by and I stand up. Oh, no. Oh, no. No. Oh, you stood up.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Oh, no. I was kind of the same about when Chris didn't give me the first impression rose, I was like, bro, are we seeing the same thing here? That's funny. I'm going to go back and watch. Yeah. Okay, last one. This is so good.
Starting point is 00:56:29 You had a very memorable first kiss with Jojo. What happened immediately after? Don't say it yet. A, you said that was terrible. B, you high fived her. C, you yelled, we did it. Or D, you asked if they could do it again. I think that you're looking for we did it, but I didn't say that she did.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Oh! And I was, I remember I was annoyed by that because I felt like I was a little emasculated by it. You know, what was? And then you're like, were you forced to? Like, you're like looking at producers. We did it. So it was a storyline like days beforehand, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Like that I hadn't kissed her. But I had never been on a one on one with her. And so it's a little. bit of a faux pot to make out on a group date because people can see you, you know. So I never really had an opportunity. And then it got out. Obviously, production wanted everyone to know. And so then I felt like, oh, man, I kind of looked like a wuss here. And so it was probably two row ceremonies leading up that I was like, can we please find time for me to be alone with this woman so I can kiss her. Like, this is now weird. I shouldn't be here this long for this. And they obviously
Starting point is 00:57:44 wanted to make it a thing, so they kept on doing things that were, it made it so I could never be alone with her. Like, I remember we were in Uruguay and we were at a winery. Oh, you made it out of the country before you, and you hadn't kissed her yet. I went to multiple countries. That's amazing. But we were in Uruguay at a winery and I was like, this is great. My family makes wine.
Starting point is 00:58:06 Yeah. Can I do like a wine tasting with her like during the, you know, the cocktail hour? And then maybe I can kiss her and they were like, that's a great idea. we're going to set that up. And then, like, Chris comes out. Like, clank, clank, clank. She's canceling the cocktail party. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:22 And I was like, no, man. And you're like, this must have just happened. We had a plan. Yeah. And I was like, man, that sucks. And then I was like, oh, I'm definitely going home. I still haven't made out with this chick. And then I get to the next week.
Starting point is 00:58:33 And same thing. Like, they keep me separated from her, like, the entire time. And then what was funny is we did this weird thing called Fuert de Brutsa, which is like this. you know, art experience where these people were like in this glass bottom pool swimming around and like making out and like whatever being sexual. And it was like right above our heads. And they were like it would be cute if you kissed her like right underneath it while they're like, like, I'm sure they were thinking like cinematography wise. Like that shot will be beautiful. And I remember we were looking
Starting point is 00:59:07 up like I was holding her hand and it was these two people then bathing suits. And I could just remember seen the guy's balls. Oh, no. And I was like, this is not romantic at all. And I looked at her and I was like, I can't, I can't not like this. Yeah. You know? And she agreed.
Starting point is 00:59:25 I think she understood. And then. Yeah, dude balls don't do it for me. And then they were like, go up there and now you swim around. So like sliding around. Yeah. And then we made out. And then she said, we did it.
Starting point is 00:59:37 And I was like, I tried to make out with you in a winery. Did she like pat your back? We did it. She was like, oh, sweetie. Oh, I'm so sorry. Yeah. Well, it all worked out for you. I remember, like, you know, it was Louie at the time.
Starting point is 00:59:50 One of the producers, he pulled me aside. And beforehand, and he was like, we need to talk about what you want to do for hometowns. And I was like, Louis, I think we both know this is not happening. He's like, no, he really likes you. And I'm like, does she, dude? Or are you doing this? Because if I'm the only person that doesn't get asked this question from the guys, then I'm going to know I'm going home.
Starting point is 01:00:11 Isn't it just a mind when you start like thinking about what they're doing? Like mine started from the get-go and like they called me before even going to L.A. to start filming. I was like, why don't I get an opening package? Just means I'm not going far. I was like already thinking everything. Well, we've run out of time. But thank you so much. And of course, go follow Wells on all the platforms.
