Starting point is 00:01:44 Get ready to shake things up. Here's Caitlin. All right. Welcome to Off the Vine. I'm your host, Caitlin Bristow. So in the studio today, we have podcast hosts from what we said. Jacey Marie Smith and Chelsea. Chelsea and Chelsea, Chelsea, certified health coach, lives now. Wait, where do you live again? Honestly, I don't even like tell people because it changes all time. I live in Nashville right now. Okay, but I'm from Arizona. And when did you move to Nashville? May. End of May. So I've been here a couple months, but we leave in September. And where are you going then? Stay tuned. Okay. Okay. Stay very tuned. And you're from California and Arizona. Kind of, yeah. What does that even mean? You're just all of them out. I know. I'm just like, I call myself a West Coast girl. That's so funny. Okay. So we're just, because your name is spelled J-A-C-I. So a lot of people, I'm sure, call you Jackie. Every day in my life. But we were talking about what our
Starting point is 00:02:41 names would be if we weren't our names. And I'm like, wait, that's what we're. really interesting. What do I look like? I just feel like I'm such a Caitlin. I could see you being a Lindsay. Nuh. Lindsay, yeah, that's good. Could you kind of picture? She's like, no. Oh, I think I'm more of like, uh, like, I try and pick like the sexiest name out there. I'm like, I think I'm more of a Sloan. No, I was literally going to say like, okay. I was going to say like Roxy or like something with like a bar. I could vibe with Roxy. Sorry I gave you a really basic one. Roxy to me is just the bar I always went to in Vancouver with like a terrible smelling carpet that they've never changed since the 80s. Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah. That's like the
Starting point is 00:03:17 Roxy time. Yeah. So I can't go there. You need people to just comment what they think you are on your latest Instagram post. That's a really Wow. Look at that. Yeah. Yeah. I really like that. I know. I kind of wish we would have talked about that earlier and then I could have put it out there on Twitter and then we could have talked about it more because I really yeah and see what you're really into it. Oh, do you see you a smile? Her new passion. She's like, what would his name be? And so we said you would be, J.C. would be Emma. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:42 I said or Amber. She kind of looks like Amber fits me. Yeah, but that's because you have red hair. Amber is like, that's clueless Amber. Remember her? Okay, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. She could be a farmer in those clothes. That's, that's, that's, yeah. Amber. Okay. I, so actually, my middle name is not Jade. It's not, I'm a fake because, phony. My, my, liar. My legal name is still Chelsea Gustafson. Which is her maiden name. Yeah, which is my maiden name. She doesn't have a middle name. And I don't have a middle name. My, like, parents, yeah, my parents gave me, like, no middle name because they're like, oh, well, you can use your last name as your real name when you get married.
Starting point is 00:04:15 like Kim Kardashian-West kind of vibes. I'm like, Gustafsson ain't cute. Like, that's not like, Chelsea Gustafs and Curtis is like a mouthful. Do you really know a lot about the Kardashians? Because I feel like that's the third time you brought up. I'm like, I don't know. Yeah, that's true. I do really keep up.
Starting point is 00:04:30 But, uh, yeah, everybody keeps up with the Kardashians. Yeah, I really keep up. Really? Well, kind of. Is your favorite Kardashian? Me and Courtney have the same birthday. Okay. So, but she's not my favorite.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Oh. I mean, Kim. Good talk. I mean, Kim and Kylie. Kylie's a generous Really? Those are my two least favorites Oh really? You like Chloe?
Starting point is 00:04:48 I like Chloe and Courtney I think they're hilarious Oh good Then I'm the same as Courtney basically So yeah there you go Then I'll like you Yeah I like them all for different reasons Yeah that's true
Starting point is 00:04:57 They each have something that I'm like I like that about you You're right But not that I don't like Yeah that's rude of me I like them the least No I just I just really like Courtney and
Starting point is 00:05:06 Oh my God I can't believe We've been talking about Kardashians Yeah That's enough that's enough Anyways Thank you for joining me For my podcast We just did yours
Starting point is 00:05:14 which was really fun and if anybody wants to listen we really dove into the behind the scenes of Bachelor World which I've done on my podcast but we really got there it was good conversation
Starting point is 00:05:25 yeah we got some we can't take credit because our listeners really sent in some good questions really yeah that's oh those are all from listeners not all
Starting point is 00:05:33 some of them were us yeah yeah no it's it's always fun talking we're saying that people don't get sick of the Bachelor talk like I don't I don't either people are just always so curious
Starting point is 00:05:42 to know yeah it's a fascinating world. It really is. It is fascinating. And they, you know, you love to see the behind the scenes and they do that show Unreal, but that's like a very dark twisted version. Have you heard of that? I haven't heard of that. Yeah. Oh, Unreal is like this show that they do. They don't say it's the behind the scenes of The Bachelor, but you know it is. And it's like all the manipulation and stuff that goes behind with producers. It's, it's, I watched it at the wrong time. I watched it like right after I came out of my season and I was like in a dark place. So it was tough. But now I would like to go back and watch because I think. think it would be kind of funny but it's just a very dark twisted twisted version but well and it's love like everybody has experienced love not like cooking it's like not everyone likes cooking that's so true everyone is experiences love so it's like and every you know there's a different character on each season and we're all one of those people yes everyone can relate yeah it's a very relatable show you see heartbreak it's it's yeah it's it's it's really fascinating i know it's a perfect word to describe
Starting point is 00:06:39 that show yeah my husband looks a lot like jed from the back really and when he was the favorite I was like, yeah, I see it. You guys look so much like. And then people start not liking him. And I was like, I don't see anything. I don't see any stimulant. Yeah, not none whatsoever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Does he get ever mistaken in Nashville for Jed? No, I mean, not yet. But people on my Instagram, every time I post like, is that Jed? Really? Really? You're like, yes, I'm married to Jed. You're like, I'm the girlfriend. I'm the girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Surprise. That's hilarious. So you guys, how did you start your podcast? Or how did you guys even become friends? We became friends in high school. I think it was our sophomore year that we became besties. We met. And a freshman year, but I'll forget that you said that.
Starting point is 00:07:20 I'm like, oh, yeah, I was like. We met, and it was one of those things where we just clicked instantly. We hung out for the first time alone. Like, we had hung out in groups of friends or whatever, but we hung out alone for the first time, and we were going to go to this dance, our high school dance concert or something together. I'm iffy on the details of a very bad memory, which is something we can probably don't want to discuss because I can't remember my childhood, which is probably very deep issue. We always talk about it.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Chelsea's always like, that's concerning. And I'm like, it really is. Anyway, so I don't remember exact details, but I do remember that we hung out all day and then we had to sleep over that night. It was the first time we'd ever, like, hung out alone and we were like, just besties. We, like, went to my house and it was getting, like, kind of late. Yeah. And she's like, can I sleep over?
Starting point is 00:08:01 And I was like, sure. Yeah. And she just, like, slept over. And we've seriously been inseparable since then. Yeah. So, yeah, we met in high school. Wait, how old are you guys now? 24, both of us.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Both of him. Okay. Okay. Yeah. And then as far as starting the podcast, that was a random thing that we started about a year and a few months ago. Chelsea had been, you'd kind of been wanting to start a podcast with your husband, actually. You'd consider that. He was not having any of that, though. Working with your husband's stuff. Yeah, I do it. Oh, you do. Yeah. And it is. It is tough. But anyway, so I was thinking, like, who, because I always, I like podcasts where there's co-host or where there's, like, you know, different banter.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Yeah. Dynamics. Yeah. Dynamics. yeah who could I have as a co-host I'm like Chelsea obviously yeah and so but the problem is we didn't live in the same state I live in L.A. and she was in Utah so we were kind of iffy but anyway I just texted her when I was like should we start a podcast and no joke she was like yeah and then the next week we're like yeah doing it yeah which was so weird because we were so far and like me and my husband didn't have like any money at this time right so it was like not something that was like a smart decision at that time for us where we were like oh yeah flights every month like
Starting point is 00:09:08 back and forth like putting all this money into this and like me and my husband were both just like yeah let's do it really I love that just felt right because you were doing something that you love yeah exactly and that's what makes you happy yeah well and people in high school so we were in dance class together and they danced me too yeah and we were like a force to be reckoned with because we were like the loud always trying to make everyone laugh like class clowns and got in trouble all the time and everyone's like you guys should have a like a TV show together and at first we're like oh that's not we would be so boring like so people would want to kill us yeah but then yeah but a podcast yeah but podcast though well we we look back and we're like we're literally living our
Starting point is 00:09:47 high school dream yeah because we get a work together and it's awesome yeah we love it I my dream is always to be like pregnant at the same time as my best friends and like have families and now they all do and I'm like little behind yeah I'm like okay miss that one yeah I'm like getting get up there Caitlin we were just saying I was like if I got pregnant right now would you start trying she's like probably and I was like yeah if you got pregnant I'd probably start trying right now yeah see because you guys are I mean you're on the same page and you're in the same world so you can I'm so far from all my best friends it sucks yeah it does suck yeah it's I mean you guys understand how did you keep the long distance friendship alive all the flights well it's
Starting point is 00:10:25 weird because we kind of I don't want to say drifted apart but we kind of did for a little bit and it's not yeah because of the distance because for after we graduated then we lived together actually for a period of time but it was really short lived um we both lived in Utah together for a second and but besides that we were always living in different states and different places and so we didn't talk that much we didn't see each other that much and then um Chelsea's birthday was coming around I think it was like two years ago and I was I realized I'm like I have not spent time with her like hung out with her in so long yeah um so I asked her if she'd want to come to California for her birthday and I flew her out and then like we hung out for a week straight
Starting point is 00:11:06 and we're like okay we like can't go longer than a few weeks without seeing each other like that was so fun and like nothing had changed and so that's awesome yeah we kind of reconnected yeah and that was connected yeah and that was like reconnected and then we're like let's do it I love that yeah I love that you guys just did it yeah I know screw it let's just do it okay guys let's talk about something we can all agree on and that is saving money honey is a free browser extension that scans the web for coupon codes and discounts while you shop online. Honey automatically applies the biggest savings to your cart at checkout like magic. It works on over 20,000 sites like Amazon, Nordstrom, J-Crew, Best Buy, Target, Macy's, all the good ones, and more. And it takes
Starting point is 00:11:49 zero effort to install. It's just two clicks and you'll start saving anytime you shop online. So I was actually ordering some food the other day before I checked out. Do you know who popped up to find me a coupon? Yeah. It was that sweet, sweet honey, hooking it up and making my dessert free. You might think it sounds too good to be true like it's free and saves you money, but what's the catch? And it's pretty simple. When you use a coupon provided by honey, they can earn a small commission from the merchant, and they pass along some of the savings to their members. So really, it's a win-win for everybody. Look, there's really no reason not to use honey. It's free to use and easy to install on your computer in just two clicks. Don't take it for me. Take it from our
Starting point is 00:12:28 listeners get honey for free at joinhoney.com slash vine that's joinhoney.com slash vine honey online savings simplified so on the podcast you are just two friends you talk about everything from career to health to relationships read stories from fans and friends and you give heartful advice so what are some of the main stories that people reach out to you for like relationships probably or is it what is it everything yes well the ones that they send us is that like Is that what you mean? Like the ones they send us? So we do like every once in a while we'll have like most embarrassing first kiss stories or like worst date stories.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Or we had one that was most embarrassing stories, which I think is our funniest one by far. Or like the most embarrassing texts you've ever sent by accident, like things like that. And people just send in these stories that are so cringy. Oh my gosh. Can we talk about that? Because that's a good segue into confessions. Yeah, we can talk about that for sure. Okay. So tell me what's the like most embarrassing story you've ever heard from somebody?
Starting point is 00:13:35 I have one in mind. I already, I think we probably have the same one in mind. Okay. Well, it was this girl who went on a date and it was like her crush. Like they were in college and she was like obsessed with him and he finally asked her out and she was just like living for it. Yeah. And they were both runners. And so he was like, oh, you want to come like run this trail with me?
Starting point is 00:13:53 And she was like totally down. And then they went to go run it. And they're not that far into the run. And she started feeling really sick. Like, she was like, I am going to have diarrhea. Like, I feel horrible. And as she's running, she's, like, also trying to impress him. So she's trying to keep up with him and stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:09 But she's, like, kind of falling behind because she's like, I feel so sick. Yeah. And she kind of just, I think, I don't remember the story exactly, but she kind of fell behind enough to where she was like, I got to, like, bounce. Like, I got to run into the trees because I'm going to poop, literally poop my pants. yeah and she ran into the trees and just let her rip exploded i mean she like pulled down her pants exploded and then there was a nearby river and so she's like trying to get in the river to like and he's like coming back up trying to see like excuse me what's the deal well she was saying he was like hey and she was like don't come up here because she's like i didn't get my pants off in time
Starting point is 00:14:46 so she's like they weren't fully fully off so there was poop everywhere that's why oh you miss that Oh, sorry. I was like, okay, pull the pants up and go. Yeah, no, no, no, no. She didn't, she didn't fully get them off, so there was, there was, yeah, that's why she went to the river. That's why she went to the river. And she was trying to wash them off. And she said there was, like, a sweet family, like, near the river. And she's just, like, in there with, like, no pants on. It's winter. It's winter. It's freezing. Oh, good Lord. Yeah. I missed a lot of details. Yeah, these are very small important details. Anyway, so then they got back in the car. And she never said if she explained to him what happened.
Starting point is 00:15:21 but basically they got back in the car and had the windows down and he drove her home and she said it smelled so bad in the car oh that's all and she never explained he's just like cool okay so i'm sure they did she didn't say but she said that he put down something on his seat so i think he knew like i think she might have said when he was calling up to her like i had an accident why not just oh she she said that no we don't know she didn't give us those details but i'm sure she had like at one point i would just be like look i went to the woods to take a shit i I got sick. This is awkward.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Do you want to talk about it? Or should we just pretend it never happened? No, literally. And so, was that it? Was that the last date? That was the last date. She said he was pretty, like, nice about it, which she was really grateful for, but I don't think they were any further dates, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Oh, gosh. But imagine, like, you have to really put yourself in her shoes and picture if it was your crush in college. Like, this guy you've been crushing them forever. It's just horrible. Oh, I would be mortified. Even if I was with my family, it would still be, like, very embarrassing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's, I just got sick in Mexico and Cleo, bless her freaking heart because that is a solid friend right there.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I, she actually got sick in Mexico and I was like, plugging my ears going like, I had to leave the room because I have such a severe fear of throw up. And so when I was sick, I mean, it was just, I can't even think about it. And she was sitting rubbing my back. holding my hair pulling my necklace back going okay good job now breathe breathe through this one she really was and she just
Starting point is 00:16:58 and then she got me crackers and ginger ale and she would just rub my hair and I was like damn I was a shitty friend to you like I'm like now it makes me feel so bad that I wasn't there for her more when she was sick because she was just the best friend it was insane she was so good to me while I was sick so shout out to Cleo for that one
Starting point is 00:17:15 but it was funny I would be like this is sorry to paint a gross picture but we're confessing I'd be like throwing up so aggressively and I'm again terrified of throwing up so I'd be yelling no in between oh my god and like crying and I'd be like no oh my gosh and sobbing and then I'd be like now get out and then I'd turn around and sit on the toilet and be sick that way like it was awful there's nothing worse than that when it's coming out both ends I haven't been that six I'm 34 I haven't been that six since I was 16 years old yeah it was it was really terrible yeah there's nothing worse in like the stomach flu or things like that i i was honestly supposed to go back to mexico on this friday and i'm like i can't
Starting point is 00:17:53 you're like sorry you're right i can't do it uh okay now tell me you're embarrassing stories yeah okay okay well start because mine's a little more gross than yours okay um my embarrassing story is that or my confession is that two months after i got married i peed the bed okay and it doesn't i mean you know it's not that big of a deal but have you seen those memes on Twitter where it's like when you go to your parents room it's like a shadow like this little shout of it's like you go into the room to tell them you threw up yeah yeah yeah like that's that's how I felt because I first of all we didn't live together before we got married okay so wait I want to talk about that after okay okay so you're still you know like getting used to each other I mean we were very comfortable around each other so I wasn't like completely mortified but also it's kind of the stage where you're like still trying to convince them that you're like really cute and her So are you guys cute sleepers? I'm the ugly sleeper alive. I don't know. Do you sleep with your mouth open? Oh, yeah. Only on airplanes. Really? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Well, anyway, I'm just the ugliest sleeper all around. So, um, well, there's this comedian that says, like, when you're in a first in a relationship, you pretend like you are the most easygoing person where you're like, I don't need water. I don't have feet. I don't do anything. Like, you just like act so much like, I am the easiest person to deal with. Yeah. As it goes on, obviously, it changes. Yeah, like the monster unleashes, like, yeah, exactly, literally. So anyway, I peed the bed like full on, not just like, we're not just talking, no, no, no, like we're talking, like, soaked the whole bag.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Yeah, yeah. And I just had to wake him up. And I was like, and this is so weird because I've just never, it's not like I struggled with that growing up where I'd pee the bed. So I was going to say, was there a reason? No. It's like I had a dream. I think I was having a dream that I was either peeing or like in water or something and I didn't go before I had. yeah um gone to the bathroom anyway so i i i had to wake him up and i was like i um and he's
Starting point is 00:19:52 such a heavy sleeper yeah so he was like um i i peed and it's in the i peed the bed and he's like he's like he's like excuse me but the funniest part of all this is that he peed the bed like two weeks ago oh hilarious and like like so out of character for both of us and doesn't even make sense because he just like he's like i had a dream he woke me up he's like oh I peed the bed. I just peed a little bit. And I'm like, who?
Starting point is 00:20:21 And when this is like public knowledge. I've said this on my podcast and then we did a YouTube video and anyway, he admitted that he peed the bed in it. And people were like, you guys, like, the fact that you both peed the bed within your marriage is like, kind of shocking. It's kind of cute. Yeah, it's kind of cute. Like, couple goals.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Yeah, that's so romantic. That's so funny. There's mine. It's pretty embarrassing. Yeah. That's so funny. Hopefully it doesn't happen again. I'm so paranoid about it.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Well, yeah. I really am. Every time before I go to sleep now, I... Pee like eight times. Empty the tank. Yeah. If I have to at all, I'm like, I'm running into the bathroom. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Oh my gosh. Well, I was trying to think of one that we have together because, like, on my own, I'm like, I'm sure there's so many things that I do that are just... The amount of text I've sent to the wrong person, like... I'm bad at that. The other... My sister just got engaged and we were trying to, like, help her fiancé plan the proposal. And we found this little hill that, like, we had taken pictures out one time,
Starting point is 00:21:17 And I was like, this would be perfect. Like, we could have her be up here. So I was going to screenshot it and send it to my mom. I was on the phone with my mom. And I screenshotted, like, hours, location, like all of the details of this little place. Yeah. Which is so obviously, like a photo, romantic place. And I was on the phone.
Starting point is 00:21:32 I sent it to my sister. And my mom was like. Oh, sorry. Literally ruins the whole story. Oh. Keep going. I sent it to my sister. And I was on the phone.
Starting point is 00:21:39 I was like, I just sent that to Abby. And she was like, are you kidding? Because, like, she kind of new. Instead of her mom. Yeah. Instead of my mom. And she was like, are you kidding. She kind of knows it's coming up.
Starting point is 00:21:48 She knows he has the ring. Yeah. And I just sent her this location of like this cute hill. Oh, no. And I was like, I am a dummy. So this is why I know about lying. Okay. Don't go into too many details.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Yeah. Otherwise, it's so obvious. That's a good point. Yeah. So I was like, I just got to keep a brief. My mom's like, okay, tell her, you just wanted to see if it was still there because you and J.C. went to take pictures there in high school and you and you and you and J.C.
Starting point is 00:22:13 I'm like, no, no, no. I'm just going to be like, sorry I meant to send that to J. and then just that's it Yeah And then Wait Now I'm questioning how I say your name Jacey
Starting point is 00:22:23 The emphasis is on Jacey Oh yeah Yeah Not Jacey Well you're kind of saying it both Right both ways Yeah
Starting point is 00:22:30 I get what you're saying Say JC Like as if it's Right The two Yeah So like hey JC I explain it as
Starting point is 00:22:37 Tracy or Lacey It's just JC Okay okay Okay sorry to interrupt you Yeah Oh my gosh So you just And then that was it
Starting point is 00:22:44 Did she have any idea no because luckily we ended up doing it in a different place okay so I just was like for a whole day I'm like she knows like that's so dumb she's coming down to Arizona and like I just ruined with the whole thing like she knows yeah but we ended up doing a different place and I asked her I'm like did you know that's what it was just like oh I literally didn't even think about it I just not like oh that's because you had a small detail I know because I'm I'm a terrible liar but I've learned how to be better yeah I'm a good liar but I'm such a guilty conscious like I'm yeah yeah So if I do lie, like, I can't handle it, and usually the truth comes out. Yeah. Yeah. Within seconds. Like, board games or any kind of games, like, mafia? Like, have you played mafia or, like, wear a wolf or something?
Starting point is 00:23:25 Yeah. I'm the best liar. Like, my husband's like, do you swear on our marriage? And I'm like, I swear I'm not. He's like, swear on the marriage after, like, no lines. Yeah. Wow. He's like, you looked to me dead in the eye and said you swore on marriage.
Starting point is 00:23:39 I'm like, it's a game, honey. You are a good liar. I don't know if I can do that. I know. It's so scary. All right. Hopefully, you've heard by now. now that Third Love has the perfect fit.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Third Love uses data points generated by millions of women who have taken their fit finder quiz to design bras with breast size and shape in mind for a perfect fit and premium feel. They offer more than 70 sizes, including their signature and my personal favorite half cup sizes. First thing you need to do is take the fit finder quiz. It's pretty fun. Starting point is 00:25:30 like when we're together it's mayhem like keys are left we lose everything yeah i would fit right in yeah perfect and um she reminded me of this time where we were at dance so we like I said we did dance class together actually I said that on our podcast but we used to do dance together in high school that was like where we really bonded and um we had this dance that we choreographed and each of us like we had to get our dance selected in the first place to be in the concert so our dance was selected it was hip-hop which is like very shocking if you were to see us but it was a hip-hop dance and we're such procrastinators we just didn't have the music ready we had to have it printed on a CD and we had a due day like bring the
Starting point is 00:26:13 CD with the music in so that you can show the dance this day and if you don't have it you're cut from the concert yeah so it was like a really big deadline yeah and our dance teacher was not messing around not mess around they usually don't yeah she was yeah so we didn't do it we didn't get the music on the CD so we brought a blank we brought a blank CD to class yeah knowing full well it was completely we blank yeah and we put like the title on it we're like our hip hop song and you pretend it was just not yeah yeah yeah what happens so we put it she puts it in and we're like whole little knowing that it's not going to work but all of us are information like about to start and she like turns it on and she's like it's not working and we're like that's kind of genius we're like what
Starting point is 00:26:56 i was like i just did it last night she's like and she i think she knew yeah but we were just like oh my gosh it's so weird like try it again yeah and it just like still is like she's like it says it's blank and we're like oh my gosh that's so crazy she's like okay well have it tomorrow and we got away with it but that's actually kind of smart though I know now that I'm thinking about it yeah yeah yeah found it yeah seriously that's funny I probably have so many embarrassing things from my I remember one time like like standing at the bar and ballet class and thinking that coughing was covering up my toots while I was doing it like what did you guys do I have done that I have done that before yeah it's like why do you
Starting point is 00:27:35 think like clearly you're farting and like you're like coughing at the same time like it doesn't hide it yeah you can hear the cough louder than you can hear far but the people on the outside they can hear both it's so funny thinking back one now i remember also thinking how many butterfly clips can i fit on my bun oh my god amazing which that's probably coming back now they are it is like i'm wearing a brett in my hair right now yeah oh i saw that's cute what does it say oh it's cute yeah so that might be a little tease of what's coming up with my scrunchy line love it yeah but anyways what were you going to say about Clips? Oh, I was just going to say my friend was wearing them the other day, actually. And it was like actually such a fashion statement. The little butterfly clip. Yeah, so cute. Starting point is 00:30:14 absolute favorite okay for you i think he just said this but i think like a good pasta dish yep you're right i literally just told her that yesterday that's right i'm like you're like my observation you're like let me see i feel like with you what you're like i just told you that yesterday yeah uh okay um i mean chelsea love food because it's like you're such a dessert person you love sweets yeah so i would say like you you're always in the mood for a donut at all times yeah yeah but is that i don't know if it's like your favorite food i honestly don't even know my favorite i'm such like i'm not a picky eater whatsoever i will eat anything and i'm like this place is great and they go they're like it's not great i'm like what's your favorite place in
Starting point is 00:30:53 nashville so far i don't know i can't like well i'm vegan so oh so you are picky yeah well yeah i guess in that sense i'll eat anything except me cheese except for the two major food groups Yeah, I guess I am. But with vegan food, you're not picky. Like, you'll eat anything with it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Then you need to go to Avo. I've been there.
Starting point is 00:31:12 We've been there. It was really good. It was super good. I was going to say, that might be one of my favorites. Yeah. I've also been to gray's, I think. Had a good burrito there. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:20 But Coco's ice cream. Vegan ice cream, here's the thing. Vegan sweets, vegan ice cream, it's not the problem. People are like, oh, I could never go without ice cream. I'm like, yes, you could. Because there's a lot of vegan ice cream that tastes, in my opinion, better or the same. It's made of, I know, like cashew milk or almond milk.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Sometimes if it's made of coconut milk, it has that coconut flavor, which some people don't like. But I'm like, you can get really good dairy-free stuff. Okay, so you don't really have, you just like food. Yeah. Donuts. I mean, like, yeah, I guess just carved in general. Yeah. I was saying like bread.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Yeah. A piece of bread. Yeah, a piece of bread. It's really a good piece of toast. Yeah. Slice bread. Mm-hmm. What is each other's most annoying habits?
Starting point is 00:32:00 Oh, I got it. Unlock. Unlock. Coffing. Oh, my coughing. I'm like, Jayze has like five. I'm like, I have five. Which one do you want?
Starting point is 00:32:07 No, the first, the one that comes to my mind is your direction, directional skills. Yeah, I'm so bad. Challenge. Directionally challenged. Legit can't, like, if we come in this way into a store and then we exit the store and like, this is where our car is, she goes left. Without fail every time. Oh, Amber Alert.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Oh, Flash flood warning. Am I getting that too? Yeah. Cool. We're in this together, guys. Yeah, amazing. We're stuck here. There's always flash flood warnings in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Yeah, it rains right now. It's probably, we're probably, like, going to be stuck here. Oh, yeah, it's raining. I have our podcast. Yeah, yeah. We can get some good content out of this. The next five weeks, we just have Caitlin on this. I wouldn't be mad.
Starting point is 00:32:49 So much Bachelor talk. Truly. Probably could. No, yeah, that's, I think, the number one thing is you just, you, it's like, I'm not, I kid you not. It's like 10 out of 10 times it's, she chooses the wrong way to go. So Chelsea is directly challenged. I am. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:05 I am doing with you on that, sister. I've never said sister in my life. I don't know how that just came out of my mouth. Me and you both, sister. I'm crying. I always make fun of Jason because when he talks to his buddies on the phone, he always goes, all right, brother. See, like, no, like, what is brother?
Starting point is 00:33:24 Like, you forgot to say, you are. Okay, guys are worse than girls. Because my husband calls his friends, like, every text, dude, dude, dude, dude. I'm like, you don't need to put that. You know, like, you're texting them. It's way better than brother. That, yeah, that's kind of true. Why aren't you saying, like, at least, hey, brother.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Brother. All right, brother. Like, the whole time he's talking normally, and he's like, yeah, how's your parents? How's your family? All right, brother. I'm like, uh, what? Like, where are you from? Yeah, it's so weird.
Starting point is 00:33:52 That's so funny. I had a boyfriend one time that would always say brother, too. But, like, to everyone he met, and his voice would go, like, eight octaves higher than it was. Actually, really annoying. Yeah, he'd be like, talk like this. And then we'd go to a restaurant. I'm going to be, hey, can I get the, this and this? Thanks, brother.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Oh, no. That's so, Jason's voice goes up eight octaves, too, when he meets people that want to take a picture with him. Okay. They'll be like, oh, my gosh, we loved you on the badger. Yeah. All right. Yeah. What I'm totally?
Starting point is 00:34:22 Let's take a photo. All right. I'm like, what is happening to you? And he doesn't stop. It's not like, oh, yeah, totally. Let's take a photo. He's like, oh, yeah, where are you from? I'm like, okay.
Starting point is 00:34:33 I think I've made fun of him on this podcast so many times doing that. I am crying. It's like the little things like that are also so adorable that they do too. Because in the moment I'm like, what are you doing? But now thinking of him doing that, I'm like, what a little nugget? I know it's true. And then like with that, I'm like, oh, that's sweet when he was doing it. And then after we work, I'm like, that was the most annoying thing he did.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Totally, totally. That's so funny. I don't know. We've done this on one of my YouTube videos and I, she had like five for me. And I was like, I can't think of a single one. Oh, you got to think. No, I know. I have.
Starting point is 00:35:02 Well, I was going to say. I don't know if this is like an annoyance, but I feel like you, like, not procrastinate, but it's like, where I'm like, okay, let's, like, we'll have like something to record or like do for work or whatever. And I'm like, okay, let's do this.
Starting point is 00:35:16 And you'll be like, yeah, okay. And then like, still be working on something else. And like, 10 minutes later, I'm like, okay, we really should get on this. And then when it's time, you're like, Chelsea, come on, we got to get this. That is so me. That is so me.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Wait, I'm like really relating to both of those things. Yeah. That's, I'm such a procrastinator. Yeah, Leif waits for like an hour for me to get ready. And then when I'm ready, I'm like, come on, what are you doing? He's like, I've been sitting here for an hour. I'm like, oh, yeah, I do the same thing. I think I do that. I'll admit, I'll admit, okay.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Yeah. I am like the biggest go-getter, but also the biggest procrastinator. Yeah. It doesn't really make sense, but. That is the definition of J.C., I feel like. That's a problem. Yeah. I'm like, yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Yes, it is. I'm like, I'm glad we're talking about this now. Oh, that's amazing. Okay. I, um, do you guys watch friends? Mm-hmm. Yes, except. I don't want excuses here.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Except. No, no. I, I, I, I've been actually watching it every single night. Okay. But I'm only on season three. Okay, that's okay. And so people are always like, like, they tell me stuff. I'm like, I didn't even know that.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Yeah. I literally didn't even know that. You got to watch it quick. It's going off Netflix soon. They're like, oh, these people, um, wait, you're kidding. No, seriously. I'm 20, I think. I have watched.
Starting point is 00:36:27 I have watched straight through so many times and I'm still so devastating. dated it's going off Netflix. I know. Even though it's on TBS, like every night of the week. That is heart wrenching, actually. Okay, well, yeah. So anyway, people will be like, oh, yeah, when, like, Phoebe and I'm like, wait, I didn't know they dated because I'm, like, behind and surprisingly, I don't know the full story,
Starting point is 00:36:43 but I love friends and I've been watching every night. Okay, so if you had to pick a character for the other, like, is she a Monica? Oh. Well, my husband tells me I look like her all the time. Really? Sometimes I'm like, because I wasn't like, lately I've been, like, looking. Well, both Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox, I'm like, they are so cute. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Yeah, so cute. And so fit. Oh, my gosh, so fit. I know. They look incredible on that show. Jason, another day said, oh, yeah, Jennifer Love Hewitt, you know, Monica on friends. I'm like, oh, what? Excuse me.
Starting point is 00:37:19 We need to talk about this because it's an epidemic of dark, the amount of doppelgangers I have, quote-unquote, because I have dark hair and blue eyes and, like, sharp features. So you're always like Monica and you're always Megan Fox. I get that one No, I don't get that one actually I wish But like everyone Like Demi Moore Like anybody who has
Starting point is 00:37:39 I made a collage and it was like 16 different celebrities With dark hair and blue eyes I'm like we actually if you look at our faces Look nothing alike But because we have like dark hair Blue eyes I get Miley Cyrus a lot I could see that
Starting point is 00:37:50 I can see that really Yeah I'm not mad at it Yeah that's a compliment Yeah I get Lindsay Lohan when she was 12 So Yeah but she was so cute
Starting point is 00:37:58 I mean you're like like parent trap days yeah that's what they say they're like oh no no not now when she's in parent trap i'm like when she was 11 that's a compliment you look yeah yeah i do yeah i think i actually think you would be monica though you don't think no she's just like maybe you're of all the characters she's not my fave well wait really i mean she's funny yeah she's like she's she's particular but she's funny and she's true she is really funny honestly okay i hate to say maybe Phoebe there are some parts of you that are kind of like maybe if Phoebe and Monica had a kit yeah maybe them mesh together yeah there are certain aspects of you that I could definitely see
Starting point is 00:38:37 see in Phoebe where she's a little bit more like says what's on her mind and like yeah like I'm just glad you didn't say like Joey or something you're just like I'm like Ross that's it Ross Ross was my favorite character I love I love all of them I really do love all them this is always such a debate between like my followers and people that listen they're like like you either hate or love Ross and I didn't know Ross was such a controversial character. I love him. I'm obsessed with him. He's such a spas, but people are like, he's a woman hater and like all the stuff and they
Starting point is 00:39:04 think he's, yeah, like a narcissist and I don't know. I love Joey though. Yeah, me too. I mean, I love all of them. I love all of them too. Yeah. I love them all for different reasons. I don't know what you would be.
Starting point is 00:39:13 I would feel, I feel like you're a combination of like Monica a little bit because I feel like in the sense of like business wise. Yeah. You're such like a go-getter. but also oh my gosh i was like is her real name jennifer or rachel oh i know i know uh and rachel i think combined i could i could see yeah okay i think i'm all three i was gonna say who do you think you are because rachel's like she's kind of funny mm-hmm but she doesn't mean to be but she's kind of funny and monica is kind of a spaz too and then phoebe's just weird and i feel
Starting point is 00:39:47 like i'm all three of those things yeah yeah i could see that you're a mix of all of them yeah okay okay yeah yeah Okay. Okay. Six zero. All right. 60 seconds. That is exactly how long this commercial is going to last. And you know what else you can do about a minute? Get an offer on your car with true car. That's right. Starting point is 00:40:50 check out true car today who's each other celebrity crushes yours is um tom hardy yeah i don't know what yours is oh tom hardy i met him really yeah was he nice yes i think i've told this story in the podcast it's so hard when i do go over like freaking do my podcast i'm like have i told the story before he he came into the restaurant that i worked at and he was he's first of all i think he's the same height as me oh really but it's super cute yeah and he was like uh hey i'm supposed to have this table here And I was like, well, are you going to buy a bottle? I was like, it was like a bottle ceremony. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:24 And he was like, oh, can I talk to the manager? And I was like, yeah, he's not here. Did you know who he was? No. And then he was like, and then he was like, oh, this is going to. No, I went, I went, how do I know you? Did I used to serve you at this other restaurant? And I kept saying like, I know you from, oh, yeah, it's from the other restaurant.
Starting point is 00:41:41 He's like, this is going to sound really stupid about I'm just going to say it. And he goes, have you ever seen Inception? Oh, my God. Because Inception was really big at that time. And I was like, oh, my God. And then I felt dumb because I don't want to kiss anybody's ass Because they're a celebrity I didn't want to treat anybody differently
Starting point is 00:41:55 And then I felt bad for being kind of rude And then I was like, oh, I got to like put my head down Like a dog and be like tail between my legs So I was like, yeah, you can have the time all Yeah, you're not going to be like, Mr. Hardy, right there's day No, no, no, I don't know But I was like, damn it, you can have the table Yeah
Starting point is 00:42:07 But anyways, Tom Hardy I would say Zach Efron's probably yours Oh, yep, 100%. Really? Love him forever and ever. Have you seen the, um... What's the movie you were just on? 17 again? No.
Starting point is 00:42:18 I'm like, ever seen high school musical? No. The Ted Bundy one. Ted Bundy. Sorry, I was going to say Tom Hardy. I can't think of it. I haven't seen it. Wait, are you a true crime? Do you like true crime? Okay. It was, yeah, not the, yeah, he was in the movie. He was Ted Bundy. And I thought he did phenomenal. Yeah, me too. I loved it. He did so good. Him and Lily Collins together. He is actually a really good actor. He really is. He's always the douchebag heartthrob in most movies, but he is a good actor. That's what I said. I was like, you almost think of those people. who were Disney Channel stars as kind of a joke.
Starting point is 00:42:52 But then in this movie, I was like, wait, he is. He kind of proved himself? Yeah, like, he is a really good actor. That's cool. And if you put all of that aside, because some people were mad that people are glorifying, like, you know, Ted Bundy kind of. So if you put that aside, him and the Lily Collins together needs to happen. Really? They're so cute together.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Yeah, they're really cute. And he's just so good look. He's definitely my celebrity crush. He is really good looking. Oh, that, yeah, mine's like. Yeah, who's yours? That's Paul Rudd. Oh, I love Paul Rudd.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Wait, I don't even know who that is. He's like, isn't he Ant Man? Wait, oh my gosh, should I just make him up with someone else? Who did you say? Ant Man? What's that? Obviously not. What the heck's Ant Man?
Starting point is 00:43:32 Wait, you don't know what Ant Man? It's the... Paul Rudd, he's in like, um, he's in the 40-year-old version. Wait, he kind of looks like Jason. Gotcha. Oh, he does. Gotcha. Wait, that's so funny.
Starting point is 00:43:44 He's Ant-Man. Oh, yeah. What's Ant-Man? Ant-Man? He is? I didn't even know what... Oh, yeah, he's so cute. Let me see.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Yeah, he's just like... He's so funny and I just... I don't know. I just have like a celebrity crush on him. I'm like, yeah, there's the typical hot ones. Like, I like Chris Hemsworth and, you know, all the hot ones. But Paul Rudd, I'm like, he's just like a handsome, funny guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:07 You know? He's got like quiet confidence. I know there's always like little things. Because with Tom Hardy, I'm like, I just love his voice. Like when he talks, I just love the way he talks. He, like you said earlier with the... With Jelzy having earpods? Yeah, AirPods.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Airpods too, remember. You were like, oh, subtle flex. Yeah. I feel like Paul Rudd is a subtle flex. Yeah. Like him as a person. Yeah, him as a person. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Paul Rudd is. I love it. I feel like he definitely has BDE. He does. Paul Rudd is BDE. That's exactly what he is. Yep. Now I'm picturing his dick.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Cool. I'm just kidding. She just like stopped talking. She's just like looking in the air. Anyways Last one What is each other's Go To Karaoke song?
Starting point is 00:44:54 I told her we need to do karaoke while we're here First of all Oh yes we've never done that together You need to go But the problem with Nashville is everybody is so Freaking talented They just go to flex Yes
Starting point is 00:45:05 They just go to flex And it is not subtle They are like hitting all the notes perfectly Everybody's trying to like get noticed At karaoke Yeah So it's tough But Santa's pub.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Okay, that's one I was looking at. Yeah. So fun. Mm-hmm. I've heard that. Doesn't the owner look like Santa? Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Yeah. It's, and a lot of people go there. Like, I've never been. Yeah. Maybe Jed will be there. Yeah. I know. I just keep wanting to go and I've seen so many Instagram stories about it and I've seen it online so many times.
Starting point is 00:45:37 I'm like, I need to go there. Yeah. But yeah. Yeah, there are people that are super good. They're like, no, guys, don't make me go. I'm so bad. Don't make me sing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:45 They're like, okay, put on Slant dion on. And I think it out One of our friends Collapsed along singing Celine Dion at karaoke in Nashville Collapsed along He was in the hospital for three days Yeah Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:45:57 Okay never mind That's so sending me on I'm like never mind we're not going I'm trying to think of like a song from our like Childhood I'm like from our childhood You remember that? From our high school days or like our
Starting point is 00:46:10 Junior high days you know This is going to make me feel really old When you talk about what song was your junior high days because it's like we're our songs spice girls oh I love spice girls I'm trying to think of like the classic
Starting point is 00:46:24 um I'm trying to think for you I feel like you love hip hop but like that's not what you do out of karaoke exactly like you wouldn't get up and sing like get low or something like that well maybe you would actually I definitely would
Starting point is 00:46:39 I want to put it past me yeah yeah I'm like wow I'm like writing out of my notes well I'll tell you my go-to karaoke is Amy Winehouse. Wow. Yeah. Chelsea can actually sing this.
Starting point is 00:46:49 So she would be one of those people that's flexing. But I can't sing her. Like I try not to do one where I'm like an easy song where it's like, okay, this is just like pretty. Like I want to have fun. Which Amy Winehouse song, Valerie? Yeah, that would be a good one. I did rehab, but there's too many pauses. Oh, and it gets weird.
Starting point is 00:47:06 Yeah, so it's just like rehab. Like you just say it and then I'm like, okay, dance in and then it's the side of the same thing. Totally. But I always pick wraps and then I forget how. I'm not in the best shape right now and then I'm like I'm like up there like rapping and then I can't breathe
Starting point is 00:47:21 because I'm like trying to dance at the same time and then I'm like everyone's like whoa she's good because I can wrap and then all of a sudden I can't breathe and I'm like and then I like can't finish the song and it gets bend over take a step of water
Starting point is 00:47:32 I'm dead but I don't because I hate water yeah wait what is your beverage of choice then wine I was going to say wine coffee are you a social
Starting point is 00:47:46 A soda person? No. Don't like soda. Yeah, me neither. I mean, I force myself to drink water once in a while. Yeah. Just makes me gag. You know what is another good karaoke song is Forgolicious?
Starting point is 00:47:57 Yeah. That's when I ran out of breath on the other day. Oh, yeah, because you can like, when that wrap comes up, I'm like, y'all better sit down. Wait, she goes, all the time I come around. Yeah. I always lose it there. Oh, my gosh. It is.
Starting point is 00:48:10 It is hard to do that one. It is. I feel like you would probably do that one. Yeah. I would thrive on that. Yeah, that's a good. one. Okay, so I took it to Twitter and asked if anybody wanted any advice on anything pretty much. Okay, cool. I was like, who's the case of the Mondays? What's bothering you at your job, relationships, health, wellness, you know, I'm trying to get a little bit of everything, see what you at the other side.
Starting point is 00:48:32 So Meg, at a lot of M's, a lot of G's, Meg's, a lot of S's, how do we deal with a shitty coworker that undermines you at every turn? Oh, that's a good question. I say you just address it. Why wouldn't you just tell her how you're feeling? I'm just such an honest, straightforward person that I would be like, hey, you're making me feel this way? How can we work on it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:56 I think that's great advice. Something else that we've talked about on our podcast as well is like you kind of have to accept people as they are, even if you hate it. I mean, I think definitely talking about it. But if it didn't change after that, it's like you have to go into work every day, having no expectations of that change. yeah because if you that's a good point if you go in and you're like oh i don't want them to be annoying today i hope they don't do that and then you're going to be disappointed every time
Starting point is 00:49:23 yeah exactly because even if you do say something if you're like hey i feel like your comments really like hurt me or sometimes you're condescending or whatnot yeah it's very rare that you go the next day and they're an angel yeah it's like that kind of is how some people are right you kind of have to accept it and figure out a way to just deal with it because yeah maybe you're right if you do have the conversation, is she really going to change? Right. It might get better for a week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:49 But it might just, do you know who Kelly Oxford is? I do not. That sounds so familiar. She's a Canadian, like, author, screenwriter, and she's in L.A. now, and she's just a really interesting person. But she always says you can pick people to be your enemies, and that's okay. So you can just think of her as, like, an enemy, and you can just name her your enemy and be like, and that's okay. She's my enemy. Of course she's annoying me.
Starting point is 00:50:10 She's an enemy. Yeah. You don't have to say it out loud or tell anybody about it. It's just in your mind. oh that's my enemy and you can pick your enemies through the day well and I think a lot of people well me who are like people pleasers where the biggest struggle is like well why don't they like me like why are they acting like this because they don't like me and it's like you want to prove to them like no you'll like me if you just give me a chance and it's like you just have to be like they don't like me because I like that like if you're just like they're my enemy I don't need to try and impress right right that's true just move on yeah I like that Emily says how to break the cycle of eat sleep work repeat like corporate corporate job problem jobs and how to stay healthy and motivated around that nine to five or how to leave your corporate job and find your passion to make money doing just that. Well, now if we could have that advice, man, we'd be rich.
Starting point is 00:50:54 I know. I'm like, when you find out, tell me. Yeah, that's a, it's hard to figure out what you love and then make money doing it. That's what we all want to be doing. Yeah. How to do it. I'm not really sure except for just doing it. But, yeah, so how to break the cycle of eat, sleep, work, repeat, and staying healthy
Starting point is 00:51:10 and motivated around the nine to five. I would say just keep it interesting because it becomes so mundane and we actually did just did like a podcast episode that we haven't released quite yet well maybe it will be by now but about productivity and we just read this really interesting book and he was basically saying like you have to have energy enough time and focus okay yeah so if you can like nail down those three things and like come up with a better intention and goal behind them the mundane things like you know waking up and your morning routine and like oh my gosh I do this every day it's like well what's the bigger picture and if you find like motivation for that then it's a lot easier to go on and like be like this is you know me driving my kid to work or whatever it is it's like you have that moment don't be like oh I have to drop her off and it's like such a pain it's like you know in 10 years you might not be dropping her off right so just like changing your mindset a little yeah a mindset shit and you're not always going to have motivation and that's something we talk about a lot too is that motivation
Starting point is 00:52:09 comes and goes and it's all about discipline so as far as when anyone's trying to improve their health or anything like that it's you know and they're like how do i become motivated it's like you just got start and you got to have discipline and you got to stick to it because the truth of it is like we don't all wake up every day so stoked to go to work and do all this stuff and work out right but if you get into those habits then it becomes easier and you'll see results and you know good things will come yeah why does my brain go to sex i'm like it's like having sex like it's like When you think about it, you're like, oh, we should probably do it. And then once you get doing it, you're like, wait, this is actually really good.
Starting point is 00:52:43 Why don't I do this more often? And then after you feel more, like, connected. Yes. That's so true. Oh, my gosh. I love that analogy. Yeah. That's true.
Starting point is 00:52:52 So it's, yeah. Well, I mean, even the gym, it's like, I was even saying sometimes when I go the gym and I'm like, you go every day and you're like, oh, I'm going to love it. And it's like, no. Even if you've been doing it for three, five years and you're super consistent. Yeah. There are still days when I'm like, leaving the gym, I'm like, still not like, that was awesome yeah i'm like killing my goals where it's like but it's just discipline it's like a i saw
Starting point is 00:53:13 the funniest habit on the internet the other day about or it was it was like one of a sane and this guy was like was like me in the morning oh i don't want to go to the gym get to the gym why am i here working out this is this sucks why am i doing this at the end now i'm just tired yeah friend asks how's your day oh i worked out i feel so refreshed and awesome it's like yes it's like you want that to be such a like a good happy feeling yeah it is i think people make a lot of excuses too like it's really not that hard to set your alarm for a half an hour earlier and just like get up and do like a little like YouTube video of a workout yeah you know like it's and if you did it I guarantee it the end of your day you'd be proud of yourself at least you know
Starting point is 00:53:52 totally yeah I shouldn't say it's not that hard it is that hard but yeah you know what I mean yeah yeah okay um Lori wants to know how to start dating again after your spouse passes away whoa that's none of us can really speak to that yeah I want to help her in some way um it's been over two years, but I can't get past the guilt and feeling that I'm cheating on him. I miss him so much, but I feel like I have a lot of life left and I would like to share it with someone. I am so lost. First of all, Lori, so sorry for your loss.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Yeah, wow. That's devastating. But I think, well, I mean, she's clearly open to dating again. So I think good for you for, you know, not sitting at home if you're ready. Yeah. But how to do it. I mean, that's hard to give advice when you haven't gone through something. but I think it's kind of relating to our last thing we said yeah like getting out there
Starting point is 00:54:42 putting yourself out there and what do you guys think about online dating I don't know it kind of terrifies me but I didn't have to do it ever like I never really yeah do that so I did it for a while but it never turned into anything like more but it can know I've heard like yeah my brother got married to his his he almost said his sister me like they met on the internet No, he got married to his now wife, and they met on Tinder. Yeah, I know a lot of people. Yes, one of my best friends did, too. I mean, my advice for everybody is if they want to meet somebody, I always just say you're going to find it doing something that you love.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Yeah, I always say that, yeah. Just don't, like, you know, actively searching always weirds me out, which is online dating to me, like going on and searching and then trying to find it. I find that strange, and again, it does work for some people, but I like more organic ways, like going on the bachelor. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like going and doing something that you love. and then finding someone who's also doing something that they love and then you clearly have the same interest and that's like a very natural way to start definitely and i always say that for even making
Starting point is 00:55:46 friends because like we move so much that it's like even if i start to like make friends i never feel like we move again so but i'm always like i've met some my best friends at dog parks yeah yeah i go and like we can relate on something and it's like you know you don't have to be actively searching for somebody because then you i think become too picky and and what about um because she's feeling guilty i always well this is came from my best friend brey she always says um things are false guilt so you feel guilty about things but really it's false guilt did you commit a crime did you know did you know like you should feel guilty for things like that but what is false guilt and that she should think about that too it's probably false guilt um that she's feeling yeah and like where is that guilt
Starting point is 00:56:32 coming from right coming from like outside sources is it like to him because Obviously, like you said, I can't talk to it because I've never experienced that. But, like, I mean, what I've heard and, like, anything with loss, it's like, what would they want for you? Right. You know? And it's like, obviously, that's easier said than done. Yeah, of course. I'm sure he wants you to be happy.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Yeah. And, like, I'm sure he wants you to have love again and, like, find that. And it doesn't mean you have to go out and search and find the one. Yeah. You know, you can just go out and have a good time and meet people and connect with people without, you know, don't feel guilty about that. Yeah. Like, I don't, I don't think. he would want you to be lonely right exactly agreed thank you both so much for being on my
Starting point is 00:57:12 podcast and thank you for having me on yours so um like we do it all end of podcasts pump your own tires and tell us where we can find you perfect um my instagram marie smith jac i marie smith and my youtube channel is jc marie i do lots of fun vlogs and uh i don't really know what else i'm doing on there at the moment i'm kind of rebrand and you know doing some fun youtube videos yeah so can you just actually tell me a little bit about the YouTube videos? Yeah. So I started YouTube a few years ago, but I didn't really get serious about it until this year because my main focus has always been Instagram.
Starting point is 00:57:47 Yeah. I started out as a photographer, so I'm really into it. Yeah, your pictures are beautiful. Oh, thank you. And now I've kind of transitioned to doing it with my husband. We do YouTube together. And it's kind of an interesting, fun dynamic because I film the videos and he edits. And he kind of has his own, like, character almost as.
Starting point is 00:58:06 editor like he throws and stuff so people know his personality so funny so it's a fun it's a fun thing for us to do um and we're starting to do more we used to just do a lot of vlogs where we would take people through like our travels and our days and we still do that but i'm starting to do more like sit down concept videos like i just did one of like health hacks you can do that are to improve your health and we're starting to do more things that are concepts i guess instead of just like day to day life yeah um but yeah we do a lot of fun stuff on there i do photography still i'm like getting back into kind of being behind the camera because i took a very long break from that so um getting into like film photography and just creating cool stuff on instagram that's awesome and what else do we
Starting point is 00:58:51 do the podcast yes um that's at what we said podcast on instagram and or you can find it on any of the uh apple podcast app or Spotify and that's a blast we love that's a blast we love that and I'm trying to think if I do anything else. I'm like, do I have any other businesses? You can be like your dog. Oh, my dog is Lady Carlson on Instagram. She's a red toy poodle. We're twins. Yeah, they are twins. Yeah. I'm dead. But I think that's it. So funny. Yeah. Okay. And I feel like, you know, I'm like, wait, tell me more about you. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, my Instagram first is Chelsea and Chelsea is C-H-E-L-S-E-Y, Jade Curtis. And then my YouTube is also Chelsea Jade, which, as we know is not my real last mill name, which as we know is a phony.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Yeah, you're such a good liar. Yeah, it flows a lot better than Chelsea Gustafsson. Yeah. Yeah, I do like health stuff on their health tips, like cooking. I like to do a lot of cooking for like plant-based stuff. I do health coaching. So I also have a website, ChelseaJ.com, where I like to do like blogs or fun stuff. I also have like two e-books out.
Starting point is 00:59:55 Like one is transitioning into a plant-based diet and like how to do that in a way where it's not necessarily like a crash diet where it's like, okay, we're going to lose 30 pounds and 30 days. It's more just like little lifestyle changes. Can I ask you a question about this with the vegan stuff? Like Jason always says, oh, you're like without eating meat and stuff. He's like, you're not getting enough protein, which is probably the number one thing people say to vegans.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Yes. But isn't it really tough to not get enough protein? Yeah. It's really hard. Like there's so much protein in like vegetables. So this is the problem is people, be like, I went vegan for a month and I've never been more unhealthy and I'm like well what were you eating right and they're like well you know vegan cupcakes bread lettuce and carrots and I'm like okay well there's a whole world out there yeah you can get like
Starting point is 01:00:39 quinoa lentils like so much stuff for protein yeah yeah and I actually put that in my book too like certain things are like well what about iron or what about this and like give you foods that you can eat that have those in them right um which is requires a little bit of education going into being plant base you kind of have to know like okay well how do I get iron okay I need to eat these things or I need to otherwise you will be deficient for sure yeah that's yeah and what do you think the benefits are of I mean I know there's so many yeah but I just I just want people to know because I don't think it's it's something I always look into as well yeah well I originally started doing it for like the health benefits so my dad got into it I've been vegan for like for
Starting point is 01:01:18 almost four and a half years now and first of all like the obvious ones are like can it's been proven to like reverse diseases like cancer heart disease like basically the main killers in America it's like known to reduce those not even just like reduce the um uh chances of you getting it like also reversing it yeah so um that's the main one that people hear and know and like also it's just like good for your skin it's like basically a lot of things yeah um yeah i'm like actually i don't know if it is good she's like uh no mind i'm not a vegan anymore no but i mean there's like obviously the lots of little ones yeah yeah yeah so with that I mean you find other ones like I was having a lot of stomach issues yeah and dare I'm like lactose intolerant anyways
Starting point is 01:02:05 so I always say it was like pretty easy for me because I'm like milk just does me dirty so many substitutes out there these days too for yeah you know like I am obsessed with a good black bean burger yes and it satisfies your like burger craving yeah well and I I always say like I've tasted the most flavorful vegan food yeah because they have to use like real spices and not processed foods as much and it's so flavorful to me but again like I said I'm not like that picky so yeah I'm pretty much like I'm very easily impressed with food okay that's cool yeah um okay and did you say all the places we can find you oh yeah and then I guess we already said our podcast but yeah that's me that's so fun well thank you guys so much and have fun for the rest of time in Nashville we will I'll send
Starting point is 01:02:51 you yeah go send or go we're going to see santa and i'll go and i'll send you guys a list of my like fun Nashville things that yeah please do because i don't even know i'm living here and i feel like i should be her guide and i'm like i don't know anything yeah i'll i put it out on instagram a couple times but i should just have it on as one of my highlights because it's one of the most ask questions that i get but maybe i'll you know what i'll do an updated podcast on it too yeah you should i'll come that'll be my 20 minute drunk town drunk places to go in national perfect awesome well thank you guys so much yeah and uh I'm Caitlin Bristow.
