I don't want to eat anything that really poops in general.
Like, I don't want to think about that.
What's up, guys?
We are back from a very long break.
So welcome back to On Display with Melissa Gorga.
I missed you guys so much, although I'm not going to lie that I totally
enjoyed being on vacation and kind of like decompressing from everything. I put my phone
down pretty much, felt really good. But happy new year to everyone. I hope everyone is in
good spirits. But before we roll into this episode, I just want to take a quick minute
to send my thoughts to everyone out in Los Angeles right now with
the fires.
I mean, this is such an awful thing and my heart goes out to anyone who's being affected
by these fires.
I mean, listen, guys, if you are in or around any of these areas and have any type of like
safe space, please open your doors to anyone who needs a safe spot right now.
It's super scary.
And just looking at it on Instagram
has been like, wow, I almost can't believe what some people are videoing from their kitchens.
It's been insane. So we are praying for all of you out there here in New Jersey. So just
wanted to put that out there. So anyway, I know that's not the best way to open an episode.
So let's jump into something
that's a little bit more positive right now.
My guest today is such a great one.
She is known for her incredible insight into the world of celebrities.
She's a mom, she's a hustler, and she runs one of the best Instagram accounts out there.
This is Amanda Hirsch, and she's also known for the podcast that we all know
and love, Not Skinny, but Not Fat. What's up, Amanda? Hi.
Well, thank you. Hi, Melissa. I mean, yeah, what a just awful morning seeing all those
videos. It seems like it's out of a movie. It doesn't seem like real life. Just so sad and really extending our thoughts and prayers
and thinking about everyone dealing with that.
Like what a, like we're freezing here in New York and New Jersey,
you know, and we're complaining about being freezing.
But damn, those fires like that can just happen out of nowhere
and so scary and so devastating.
People, I mean, Spencer Pratt, if you guys know,
has been live streaming, losing his home in the fire.
So we're seeing people posting this on Instagram,
which is just crazy.
It is insanity.
I saw someone who was literally standing in their kitchen
and it looks like the fire is, they have like an all glass,
like, you know, typical looks like LA home
with the beautiful glass that you can see.
And it's, the fire's right there.
It's right there.
And they're just standing there videoing it.
And I'm like, Mike, they must be terrified.
That's first of all.
And you can't even like run out your door and run anywhere.
What do you do?
It's really crazy.
And where do people go?
That's why like you were saying,
like people that have family in safe places,
like go there, but just like imagine
you have to pick up your kids, pack up your house,
not knowing if your house is gonna be there
when you get back.
I mean, it's just wild.
And I feel like it's just kind of getting worse.
So I hope that by tomorrow when this episode airs,
things will be better.
But I mean, it's terrible.
Even my producer, who's on with us right now,
had to evacuate.
So he is with a family member right now, which is like,
it's crazy.
They had to run 45 minutes south to Orange County.
So it's really affecting a lot of people.
And it's insane.
So I just hope they get this under control soon.
I really do.
But speaking of living in New York,
it is really cold here right now.
I saw the cutest thing you posted on Instagram.
Was that your husband and your child like across waving
to you having, oh my God.
See, New York City is fun. The cold, you know what I really wanna say like, and your child like across waving to you having, oh my God. Oh yeah.
See, New York City is fun.
The cold, you know what?
I really want to say like, I don't complain about the cold.
I'm just not, listen, I'm not like, if you're a tourist and you're coming to New York right
now and it's so fucking cold and all you want to do is walk around times where you're going
to suffer, like you're going to need some long johns, you're going to need some like layers. But
to be honest, like, I don't know, aren't they? I miss long johns. No one talks about long
johns. Like what happened to long johns? I appreciate, I appreciate the long john.
What happened to them? But like just some thermal layers. Now I'm like, like, I'm getting
in and out of somewhere. I'm not really like in the cold,
just like shaking. So I don't understand what people are complaining about. Maybe they're
walking more than I am, you know? Well, I can tell you one person who's definitely complaining,
Joe Gorgas. So guys who are in construction, that's who's complaining, who are outdoors all day
in and out of like machines and you know,
he's literally building, he builds apartment buildings.
So he's freezing.
Like it was so funny to see him come home
because he was shivering and he couldn't like,
you know when you can't get the chill out.
He's outside all day.
He's outside all day, damn.
In and out of his truck all day long.
I mean, he, you know, all of his men are out there all day, working out there.
So those-
Well, what about football players too?
Don't they play this season?
When I thought about that, because I just watched the Aaron Rodgers documentary, which
I recommend on Netflix, Joe was into football, right?
So into it.
The whole family is.
Okay. Okay. So I don't know anything about football because
I watched this and I realized like this is the season. I'm
like, wait, they play in the cold. And then it really dawned
on me. I'm like, they play in the freezing cold. Like how? How
don't they get frostbite?
It's nuts. Sometimes I watch it and I'm thinking to myself, they're sweating, but how are they not sick?
How are they not getting pneumonia?
I'd be like, you're going to get fuck CTE or whatever the fuck.
You're going to get pneumonia.
Put a hat on.
I don't know.
That's crazy.
But you know how you see Taylor Swift?
I always say this.
You see Taylor Swift like coming
out of a restaurant downtown. It was like the other week she was wearing sandals the other week,
last week. I know. And I was like, I saw that actually. And people say to me like, Amanda,
she's getting out of her car and she's doing that. So like, here's my thing, does she's getting out
of a car? And you know, Melissa, so am I, like, I'm not Taylor Swift, but I'm also taking a cab to a restaurant, but I still wouldn't wear open
Sandals in the winter, but there was a lot of debate about that. Would you wear open toe sandals in the winter?
No, so like would I wear a pump with the little toe sticking out?
Yes, if i'm into stockings right now, by the way, because it's so like everywhere, you know stockings are in so I
Wait, you would you would wear a pump like an open toe pump well like at this time of year yeah if it's a pump with a little
piece of the toe sticking out i might do it if it matches who's wearing a legit sandal like a sandal
oh no no no no her style isn't like the yeah one thing going for her, but it's-
Agreed.
But people just were saying it's because of the car waiting and she doesn't have to be
in the cold.
And I agree, the less you have to be in the cold, you don't have to care about what you're
wearing.
But I still feel like even if you don't have to brave the cold that much, you're still
wanting to dress weather-approach.
1000%.
Does she not know what it's like? She's always in and out of the
hot downtown restaurants. You think she knows by now to keep those things?
Well, because of her, you can't get a reservation fucking anywhere. And by the way, I'm just
anywhere. Like anywhere she goes, just you can never get a reservation again.
Have you been to the corner store yet? Have you tried it?
I got to go. And?
And it was good. Okay. Okay.
I'm not going to say it was the best restaurant. You should all feel like you're missing out
on life because... But let me tell you this. I think that food wise, it's not the best
restaurant in the world, but I think I still want to go back because it's fucking cool.
Right. This is what the problem is. So it doesn't matter. So it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter if the pizza pockets were everything they were, you know,
people were saying they were. It just matters that you were at the corner store and you had lunch.
Like that's what matters. And I have to go again and again. And, um,
and that's what happens with hotspots.
It becomes like it doesn't, it's not really about, you know.
Anything other than being there.
It's about just being cool.
Right, yeah.
Yeah, I agree.
Have you been?
I agree, no, but one of my best friends just went
and she said basically exactly what you're saying.
She's like, it was, it's a cool vibe.
Like I'm there.
She's like, but like, you know, I had to like spinach dip.
She's like, it was good, but like, Houston's is better. Oh, I love Hillstone. Wait, do you guys
have a, wait, Houston's is the one in New Jersey? Yeah. So yes, it's the one on route four. Like
when you come off the GW, we have Houston's. You guys have like, what do you have? Hillstone. Yes.
Hillstone. And what's the other one?
I love Hillstone.
What's the other one that's also a Hillstone restaurant?
It's South Beverly Grill.
Maybe.
Maybe I'm just thinking of Hillstone.
But yeah, we have Houston's and you can't get in.
You can't get in there either.
It's just that.
Can you get a rez?
Do you ever use your name to get a rez?
I can get a reservation there.
Yes, at my local. What do you do? No name to get a rez? I can get a reservation there. Yes. At my local.
What do you do?
No, I mean, listen, I've learned the tricks. You have to go online. Like, people just call.
Like, I've learned the tricks. I've learned the tricks.
The tricks.
Wait, what's the trick?
I'm not going to blow up my spot because a lot of people, like I know Margaret Josephs,
won't ever even walk into that restaurant ever again, because she gets so frustrated.
Like, if you go in with a reservation,
they now don't let you sit with more
than a certain amount of people.
They split up your family.
So if you're with a party of five, they're like,
"'We're sorry, one child has to go sit at another table.'"
It's crazy.
The rules are nutty with the Hillstone restaurants,
and people get very frustrated
here in New Jersey. I think it's more understood in New York, but I think here people like
lose their mind.
That's true. They don't take over a party of five. It's true.
I got really disappointed in them once because I ordered the, do you guys have the, like
the, their sushi is so good. So the coconut shrimp roll roll did you have it ever? Yes, it's amazing. So my
sister has this thing where she like dissects food to like make
sure that it's like nothing's weird. So she was dissecting the
shrimp. And okay, I don't know if you guys know this, but if the
shrimp and most people do know it because I posted it and then
everyone is freaking out and knew what it was. Basically, if the tail of the shrimp along its spine is black, that I'm teaching you
new things, Melissa Gorgia.
That means it's their food sack.
Oh my God.
Oh my God.
They have to deterred them.
Exactly.
It's called D something.
It's called... So you've heard of it.
Yes.
You have to deterred the shrimp or else you're eating their shit.
Yes. Yes. So they didn't deterred the shrimp or else you're eating their shit. Yes. Yes.
So they didn't deterred fucking Hillstone.
Fucked up. Didn't it's not called deterred, by the way, but I can't remember the name.
Now it's called the D Vane.
D Vane. Whatever.
Turd vein.
So they didn't D Vane fucking Hillstone.
There was the black fucking spine of poop.
And I never get it.
I don't know. It's hard for me to go back.
So it does makes me just not even want to eat.
And I love shrimp cocktail.
It's like my favorite thing, but it kind of just turns me on.
I want to eat shrimp anymore. I know.
I don't want to eat anything that really poops in general.
Like, I don't want to think about that. I know. At least not like that eat anything that really poops in general. I don't want to think about that.
I know.
You know?
At least not that the poop could be where it is.
So tangible to your hands and your mouth.
Right.
I kind of wasn't going back for a while after the non-deveined poop situation.
Now I went back a little bit ago and I checked.
It was a fuck up.
They usually do devein it, but it's still wild to me that a place like Hillsone would
allow for a shrimp to go for that to happen.
So check your shrimp people because if you see some black on that spine, you're eating
shrimp poop.
Okay?
Oh my God.
Oh my God.
Okay, everyone pay attention to that.
I'm going to call it, make sure they deterred your shrimp.

Well first of all, let's just dive into some…
You have one of my…
You've recently had one of my most favorite people in the world on your podcast, Matt
Rogers.
Oh, really?
He's your most favorite?
Oh, that's so… He was so fun. Oh my god, I die for him.
He comes on, he's on display often.
We've had him a bunch of times on the show
because we're obsessed with each other, him and I.
I just love him.
I think he's just amazing.
He's just like that guy.
I can't explain it.
That I tried to set him up after he came on the pod.
He talked a lot on my pod,
which I didn't know we were gonna go there.
I thought we were just gonna like be silly.
And then he like, he kept on going back to like
how he wants someone, you know,
how he wants to like get married.
He wants to be in love.
So he kept saying that.
And I was like, you know what?
Like I have, I know some gays in New York
that have large gay circles, like, let me see, you know?
And there was this one guy that he told me off air that he was like, like I won't obviously
say, but that he was like, I wish I could like meet him.
Like he's kind of my crush.
So I literally went digging, like this is the type of person I am.
I tried to find out if that gay is seeing someone and he is, and I texted Matt and I
was like, so I found out
like he isn't available and he's like, but he was so appreciative. He's like, I can't
believe you followed up. I'm like, listen, I'm not a bitch that will like pretend like
I told you I will check this out. I'm gonna check it out. So I was bummed that that didn't
work. But I was like, who wouldn't? But okay, after I had him on the pod, so many people
were DMing me like that they have a
gay friend that anyway, I'm sure.
They want to hook him up because he's known.
You know, he's like he's a nice guy, Matt Rogers.
I feel like he's a great he's a very nice person.
No, hot.
And I do agree.
Hi.
He's so successful.
I have I've had him on the podcast a couple years ago, and I just said actually to my producer
recently the way he has blown up in the past couple years is so impressive to me because
it was very quickly.
He's on all the late shows.
He's on all the morning shows.
Not that he wasn't doing well.
Did you see the show he was on on Netflix?
I watched for him. It's called No Good Deed
and he plays the realtor and he was adorable in it. It's with Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow
and all these fucking big time actors and he was amazing.
Right. See, that's all it takes. It just takes one thing that you hit, right? That your life
changes overnight for a lot of actors.
Well, what I loved about him too is like what he was saying on my pod. Cause like said,
like you're doing the pod, you're doing the acting thing, you're fucking like singing
Santa songs. Like what, how, what's going on? And he just sounds like someone who's,
he just like goes with the flow. An opportunity comes up, he takes it, he maximizes it, he's
good at it, he's not like, I have to do this and I have to...
He's just enjoying the journey and taking what comes and he's like, the podcast started
as a joke, this started as a joke.
I was like, oh great, everything in your life just starts as a joke and then turns into
great.
But he was, yeah, he was really fun.
And I'm so happy for him.
He's like a, he's a very free spirit.
And the best part is that I saw that you guys did the little sprinkle cookies interpretation.
Oh yeah, you saw it.
We're in sprinkle cookie world over here in the Gorgahouse.
Wait, everyone told me you came out with a sprinkle cookie cookie.
Yes. Yes. I with a sprinkle cookie cookie. Yes, yes.
I've launched Sprinkle by MG.
Amanda, can I just tell you?
I had like, listen, we all know it was like, it's a thing, right?
My love for sprinkle cookies has always been a thing.
And like, obviously, you know, the whole thing that happened on the show or whatever it is,
has always been a thing, right? But I am being honest when I said I had no idea how many people were going to order sprinkle
cookies, like way beyond our control, like so overwhelmed.
Like when I first met up with my baker and we were going through this all, like my co-packer
baker.
Wait, who came up with this idea?
Did you come up with this idea?
Me.
Wow.
Genius.
Genius.
Yeah, it's been a long time coming.
Was it just for the holidays or are you going to keep it going?
No.
Oh my God, no.
Like Valentine's Day is about to roll out.
And then here's the problem.
Here's why we're sold out at the moment, but we're about to roll, open it back up
again.
The reason we…
When I was with a co-packer, he's like, so how many of these do you think?
I'm like, listen, I really don't know.
I know that…
I don't know.
Let's just see.
He's like, should I order like 5,000 boxes?
Do you think that would be good?
I'm like, sounds about right.
Yeah. Let's see what happens. You can always order more. Now, we picked the most gorgeous,
high-end, beautiful box you can pick. We sent them out to influencers, which I'm sending you
a box when we hang up. Thank you. I was going to have a major FOMO right now.
You're definitely getting the next round for Valentine's Day.
Yay. Of course.
But I had no idea.
5,000 wasn't even a frat.
We couldn't even…
That was the first day.
So we sold out of boxes, like basically the boxes that we pre-stacked thinking, oh, maybe
5,000 people are going to buy sprinkle cookies.
Yeah, okay.
We didn't even know what to do.
We were calling our people, trying to We didn't even know what to do. We were calling
our people, trying to get them shipped faster, upgrading the service. So I had all of these
people ordering sprinkle cookies. We had no idea. We finally got the boxes now. So we're shipping
and everything's going great. And everyone's been wonderful. Everyone gets it and knows that they're
coming. There's a two-week turnaround, but they're coming, which will never happen again because now I know to stack up on 100,000 boxes before I start
selling sprinkle cookies. Wait, did you bake like the first batch and then it's your recipe?
Or what was the, how did it go? Okay. So I teamed up with obviously a great baker. I'm not baking
these in my home. So anyone thinks that I'm baking these at the house. That's, you know, not happening. These are-
Wait, when you brought Teresa's sprinkle cookies, you bought them that day.
Yes. Like I went to, it was like an Italian store that we all love over here. And I brought them to
our house because the truth is of the matter to this day, I still pick a sprinkle cookie. Like,
I love them. I die for them. They're-
They're festive.
They're festive, they're cute,
and I still to this day, I'm like,
I'll have the sprinkle cookies.
So there was a true love for them there.
And so when I brought them to our house,
that tale is as old as time, obviously, at this point,
although everyone is still so into it.
I wonder if I put a poll, like, pinoli or sprinkle like I feel like you would go
with sprinkle like pinoli.
Is there so I just looked up pinoli you guys because I wasn't sure.
They're pine nut cookies.
They're like little nut cookies basically like it's an Italian thing.
So it's a very Italian thing.
Very Italian, but they're delicious.
I'm not going to hate a Piñoli cookie.
I'm just saying I brought sprinkle cookies.
They were thrown in the garbage.
The world was very upset with that
because they also love sprinkle cookies.
So everywhere I went, Amanda,
everyone for the last 15 years was like,
team sprinkle.
I was gonna ask, it's 15 years ago.
Could you believe?
Yes, because I was pregnant with my son who is now
going to turn, like he's 14 and a half. That's insane.
And the amount of people who are into this and have bought this, like, you know, the Instagram
sprinkled by MG, if you guys are not following, you need to follow, got like, you know, has over
20,000 followers, like in, you know, we only been open for 10 days, you know, so.
That's wild. Good. Congratulations. That's amazing. You sound like, I'll tell you what
I think too, like to all the points of why this took off, like we've said so many, I
also think food is such an easier click for people. Like, you know what I mean? For some
reason, like you, even
I told my husband the other day, like, I was going to spend money on something. And he
was like, how would you know it's like 200? I don't know what I said. And he was like,
oh, and I was like, you will literally buy lunch for 200 and not think twice. Like, like
it's nothing. Then I'm like, oh, we need to buy a light fixture. And that's like, how
would I'm like, and it's, it's the same exact way. Like we'll spend food is like, you know, they're bare no, like,
it doesn't matter. We will spend it all on food. When we go out to dinner, there is no
like, oh, well, how am I like, it's, I said to Joe, like, can we get the new pool cover?
That's like, you push the button and the shit just moves? He's like, what? Like, why do we need to spend a couple thousand on that? I'm like,
you spent a couple thousand last night on sushi. Like, seriously?
No, it's literally something. So that's on the larger scale. And then the smaller scales,
like those clicks, like whatever you can eat is just an easier click than if you came out with shirts or clothes or
whatever it is. Well, I'm a perfect example. I have Envy that, thank God, Envy is an extremely
successful company and has done so well, right? And it's still doing well. I've been over a decade
now with Envy that kills it. And that I've always said like, oh my God,
thank God I've done envy.
Like that's always something I'll have
when this show is over.
And I'm like, oh my God, okay, so I have clothing,
but who knew that food was gonna do like, just I cannot.
It's been great.
I'm so happy for you.
That's such an exciting, cool.
It is exciting because it's fun and it makes people happy.
It's colorful.
It's a good vibe cookie.
And it's such a good gift too.
You show up with your friend's house with this as a-
Oh my gosh.
What does Teresa think about it?
Is she wanting to get some credit?
I mean, I'm sure.
Yeah, she's mad.
It's very obvious.
She tweeted something that says, you're welcome. And I'm like, no, actually, you're welcome's very obvious. She tweeted something that says like, you're welcome.
And I'm like, no, actually you're welcome
for giving you someone to hate on for the last decade.
You're also welcome.
She said you're welcome, Tammy.
You girls, you girls.
You know how it goes with us.
But I have like disengaged from like all Teresa drama
and all of like, of the previous cast, I will say drama. And I have tried
my best to like not bring it up, not talk about it, not discuss it on every podcast
because number one, Amanda, it's old, right? It's old. It's beating a dead horse. It's
the same story over and over again. Um, I don't think the same is happening on the other side.
I feel like any opportunity that she can discuss Joe or I, or in a negative way, obviously,
or like try to change the public opinion is like only thing that she's been doing on
any platform she can find for the last couple of weeks, which I find hysterical.
Wait, why the last couple of weeks?
We don't know.
Everyone's like, what's happening?
Is someone spiraling? Are you feeling the last couple of weeks? We don't know. Everyone's like, what's happening? Is someone spiraling?
Are you feeling the loss of it all?
Are you wishing you never said, like, I hate you.
I never want to see you or I blocked you.
I never want to talk to you again.
Because everything you're doing is complete opposite than what you're saying.
So we're all very confused, but we're just kind of like, you know.
But Melissa, I have to ask you, like, and sorry for becoming like the interviewer for a second.
No, it's fine.
Go ahead, interview me.
I like it.
But like, it's a little sad, like for the kids, no?
Like the cousins and like all of that,
like the drama side like between, you know what I mean?
Like they probably miss each other.
1,000%.
But we're all so past that at this point.
It's way past that, Amanda.
It is way past that.
There's no going back, you think?
No going back.

You know, that brings us to what we'll talk about now then, the Real Housewives of New
Jersey, right?
And it's kind of like what happens and where do we go from there.
What happens?
I know there's like a new report that's out.
It just came out like today or yesterday where they're saying like Bravo was like firing
all of us and going to recast all new faces and a whole new younger cast, but then Bravo
changed their mind and now decided that they are going to keep half and keep the other,
like it's just all over the place.
Are you, what are you feeling?
Are you nervous?
No, I'm not for some reason.
I'm not.
I'm actually, I do realize that the Real Housewives of New Jersey is not coming back in 2025,
because usually you'd have to film it by now
for it to air in 2025.
So I feel like whatever capacity it's coming back in
will be in 2026, that I feel like is a definite.
Hopefully it films in 2025,
and then it comes back in 2026.
I'm not saying that I'm coming back. I
don't know. The truth is nobody knows, but I feel kind of okay with whatever they decide at this
point, right? Like it's like out of my hands. I think it's nice to what exactly when something's
out of your hands and you're like, if I have no control over something, then why would I even,
it's not like they're like, Melissa, you decide control over something, then why would I even it's
not like they're like, Melissa, you decide it's not up to you.
Right.
You know, exactly.
And like, why I don't understand about Bravo, sometimes it's like, everyone's obsessed with
the jersey.
So it's not like it's a ratings problem, or like a, you know, public interest problem.
So I'm like, so what, how are the decisions made? That's like,
I was so interesting to me, like, because we know you said this was a new update kind of a rumor,
but we've known for a while that it came out after the season that like, they're going to do
something with the show. But I wonder why, like, what happened that it's like, you know, is it just
like, it's getting too nasty? Like what, like what, wait, what happened
with Jennifer Aiden?
Oof, did you see that?
First, let me just say yes,
but first let me just say off what you just said.
Do you realize that the Real Housewives
of New Jersey premiere in 2024, this past year,
was still the highest rated premiere in Housewives?
Like Beverly Hills just aired, we had higher ratings for the premiere episode.
Wow.
So how do you explain it?
Explain it to us, Melissa.
For overnight, I have the perfect explanation, which I feel like everybody knows already
if you really follow.
We had some really, really bad behavior going on on our cast to the point where people were
leaking screeners, leaking
very important Bravo emails. They pretty much got caught, right? So, and it's all
out there to the point where they had to smack us on the wrist. All of us are
getting punished like for people who, there's definitely people in the cast
who've done nothing wrong. Like as far as like, you know,
the dirty play in the background,
but we're all being punished, right?
For what happened with our cast mates.
But beyond that, it's a double whammy
with the fact that, you know,
the problem with Teresa and I,
where you have, you know,
two main characters that have been on the show
the longest that will not talk to each other
or be in the same room.
Or that show is centered around family.
I think we all know this.
And it's a major problem that she put her foot down and said,
I will never again, and I won't do it.
And so they're like, really? OK, well, then we're on a pause.
You know, so it's like, that's where we're at.
It's kind of like Vanderpump Rules.
Did you watch Vanderpump Rules?
Yes, I want to talk to you about that, too, because I know you have Lala on a lot also.
Well, well, then it's kind of like a parallel situation, because at the end of the day,
Vanderpump Rules is ending because Ariana and Tom
won't film together.
Right, and it literally kills the whole franchise, done.
Isn't that wild, you guys?
Wow, it's such an interesting, like,
but the same thing goes for Vanderpump.
People are so invested, like, so invested in this show.
So on one hand, you're like, how is it ending?
On the other hand, and with Vanderpump,
it's been confirmed, right? They're not coming back. It's going to be a whole new cast.
Whole new cast, which now looking at it, just from comparing it to our show, I do see,
because Vanderpump's another one, hit show, just won an award or nominated for Emmy or something,
right? Like, what was it? Yeah. So we're talking major ratings, major shows,
both of them, Bravo is saying,
and we're breaking both of them, right?
So it's very telling to see,
like it's not all about the ratings all the time, right?
Or the success of the show.
You have to be a cast that is willing to work together
and be able to have conflict resolution.
There is no way to produce a show with two sides, right?
It's just never going to work.
It's too much stress.
It's too much, especially when you have one side literally talking to bloggers and giving
them the screeners so that they can have a heads up on tweets and nastiness and have
all their answers ready to attack the other side, right?
And then you have the other side calling Bravo and saying, look what's happening. We're getting buried alive on the
internet because of all of this that's going on. And it's just too much. And they're like, oh,
really? Guess what? We're on a pause, which I don't disagree with.
Yeah. Do you feel like it would remove a lot of stress from your life to not have to deal
with that in a way?
You seem to be a person that handles it well though, or does it affect you and your mental
health and you get- No, not at all.
Really?
Yeah.
No, not at all.
I would say the only time I felt it ever affected my mental health would be like the very first year, getting thrown
in as a young mom, a 30-year-old girl, like thrown into a like a very, at the time, you know, it was
the Manzos, it was like the whole thing. It was a hit show, right? So being thrown… That's time.
Oh my God. Being thrown into that and with almost seeming like the villain in the beginning to come
out at the end with the real truth, you don't know what it was like going through, which
Bravo knew kind of like, because they've seen the whole thing, how it was going to end,
but going through the, Melissa must be the bad guy until Melissa wasn't, was rough because
those were long seasons.
Those were 25 episode seasons,
you know, 25, 30 episodes.
Do people still think you're the bad guy? Are there Bravo fans that think you're the
bad guy?
I mean, no, there's definitely teams though, right? So there's definitely teams where like,
no matter what someone does, they're just like, no, she's right, you're wrong. And you know, there's always going to be that, which is kind of-
And with that, do you get affected by it? Like if you see like-
Not at all. Not at all. Oh, not at all. No, because it's been so long that it's like the same
15 accounts and you like know exactly what they're going to say, exactly what they're going to do.
At this point, the fans who are real fans know, oh yeah, we know what they're going to say, who cares? You know what I mean? So it's so like, yeah, we're so
past all of that. It's very hard to get me irritated at this point because now I've been
around long enough where I have so much going on outside of the Real Housewives of New Jersey
that I'm kind of in a place where it's like people know me, they know my husband, they know my kids,
they know me on Instagram.
There's a reason that I have a lot more,
that I do well on Instagram, I would say,
and with my following and that people buy from me,
they purchase from me on a lot of different platforms
and with my store.
So I think I've created my own little platform outside
from the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
People love Joe.
They love the family of it all.
So I'm kind of okay with like, let's see what they do.
And in the meantime, I'm busy.
I got this.
I have plenty to do without filming the reality show.
If I'm giving my honest opinion, I do think they are going to find… they're probably
going to keep a few of us, right?
I'm not saying which ones because I don't know, but I do think they would probably keep
a couple and they're definitely going to recast a couple.
So I feel like you're going to get a little old and a little new in the new
season. That is not a fact. That is just what you think. What I personally am feeling deep down
inside is that's what's going to happen. And I'm thinking that you would be kept.
I don't know. What do you think is going to happen? Like what's your personal opinion on it?
I have no idea. I have no idea what's gonna happen,
but what you're saying gives me hope
because that's not like a,
the Vanderpump Rules thing, like, is sad to me
because it's gone, that's it.
You know what I mean?
It's like, there's a whole new cast of servers at Sir
and frankly, I don't care.
You know what I mean?
Right.
But if you're saying, and I'll probably watch
and I'll probably care, you know, that's what's just going to happen. But if you're saying
it's going to be a mix, then that gives, I feel like that would give the fans hope, you
know? Yes. I'm not saying that for a fact. I'm truly saying that's what I believe is
going to happen. I do know it's coming back. It's not like, oh, they're throwing out the Real Housewives of New Jersey. It's coming back. I do think if they do do a big cast
shakeup, which Andy has said multiple times, that is happening, right?
I do think it does cause, it calls for a little bit of a pause because you don't want it to
just happen overnight. Like all of a sudden there's three new girls with the new, like
you do need like a minute and a beat, right? And then, and now we're back and this is what it is. I
agree with that. Kind of like what they're doing with Alana.
Could you text Andy and be like, because he produces New Jersey, right? That's one of
the ones that he like is the like an EP on.
Yes. Yeah.
So could you like ask him?
I do ask him.
Oh, okay. Yes. Yeah. So could you like ask him? I do ask him. I do.
Oh, okay.
I've seen him a couple of times, but you know, the Bravo gods are, he very much so claims
that they are still figuring it out.
They were waiting until after the new year to work on Jersey.
So I think maybe their minds are getting together as we speak. So a lot wasn't
it wasn't being talked about at all actually until after the new year. So I think right now-
Wait, who are you? I want to know this. Who are you good with right now in present day?
Everyone except for Jen and Teresa. And I don't speak to Jackie. I don't have like a
except for Jen and Teresa. And I don't speak to Jackie. I don't have like a bad relationship. You had? You guys started as like the close, like when she came on, you were her kind of biggest
ally. Yep. I had her back from day one. And honestly, she had mine too. I appreciated the
fact that she was like a strong woman that came on and was listening to both sides and gave her opinion.
Her opinion usually sided with me and agreed with whatever was going on in the room.
She was on my side, which ultimately obviously made my sister-in-law then hate her just for
that.
Right.
I always had her back.
I always appreciated her support.
That was a wild, I'm having flashbacks of that, was a wild, that was the season
that, so Teresa hated Jackie, so she made up that rumor that Jackie's husband cheated. Yes. Oh my god,
that was fucking crazy. I know, it's like, it feels like forever ago really at this point, but it was very telling to me and kind of disheartening
for me when Jackie then was downgraded to a friend of, right?
Or I don't want to say downgraded, but then put into like a friend of role.
And then all of a sudden all of her morals and thoughts and actions were like different.
And it was kind of like when you go to make a splash back and it just
fell short, honestly, because it seemed, it was not very authentic. And she lost,
she kind of lost me there. I was like, and now he lost me. Like there's ways to do it.
There's definitely ways to say like, well, maybe Melissa, I feel this way or like I'm sorry,
but it was so aggressive and so overnight
and so, you know, it literally showed her like walking backwards at one point on the
show, which is like such a scene that everyone always talks about at the reunion. But it's,
it is what it is. So I am good with everyone else. I'm good with Danielle, Rachel, Margaret,
Jen Fessler, DeLorean.
Danielle is so sweet.
I met her.
She's so nice.
She's very down to earth.
She is. Yeah.
I appreciate her.
She's a, she's, I thought she brought something different
to our cast too, which I appreciated.
She also seems so excited, like to be there.
You know what I mean?
Like just appreciative to be part of it, it seems very excited. And at
first, I didn't know how to take that at first, because that could
come off the wrong way. At first. Yeah. As I got to know her, I
was like, No, she's like, genuinely very excited that she
has this opportunity. She is not afraid to admit it's something
she's really wanted. Right. She's not pretending so many people are like, oh, I never even watched the show.
When they do that, I'm like, get the hell out of here. You watch, you know exactly who. That's
the biggest problem with Jersey, Amanda, is even these new girls that they're, and I know they are
casting right now. I know people that they're talking to. I know that they're interviewing.
I know people that they're talking to. I know that they're interviewing, right?
So no matter who you find,
and this probably goes for all franchises at this point,
they're fans.
They've seen the show.
It's very hard to get someone coming in very benign
and like, well, I don't have an opinion.
Everyone has an opinion at this point.
You know who you wanna be friends with
when you enter the room at this point.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
So it's very hard, and I can see that being the reason sometimes that they have to recast.
Because to keep people on like Teresa or I, who've been on for 15 years, right?
And then have a new girl show up with young children that say like 33 years old, they might be
a little like it's hard, like it's very hard to find the girl that's not going to be jaded
at all and just be authentic, right?
Right.
It's rough, but you know what?
A lot of them start that way, but as they get comfortable with us and just realize like,
yeah, whatever, it's all good.
We're all the same here.
It doesn't matter.
They kind of do loosen up and start saying their real opinion.
Like Danielle, I feel like she was having it rough in the beginning.
She was saying and doing a lot of things that she didn't agree with and she admits that
now.
It was funny.
We just went to Rachel Fuda's baby shower.
We were all there this past weekend, which was so cute, so beautiful.
And she had said that to me. We were just sitting there eating and she's like, how
did you, how do you even like me right now? She said to me. And I just looked at her and
I was like, she's like, how did you, how do you even like, why do you even like me?
She said. And I see like, I appreciate like, that's all I just need to know that like
you, you know, when, when you realize that someone realizes, then it makes see like, I appreciate like, that's all I just need to know that like you, you
know, when you realize that someone realizes then it makes you like, I'm a very forgiving
person and you know, and I get it.
It's like, listen, it's a hard world to jump into this world with these, like people who
have been on this show for such a long time and have such a big influence in people's
lives and you're there and you
get lost and she admits it.
She got lost a minute and she's like, this is like, you know, and so that's why I love
Danielle.

Hi, I'm Stacey Schroeder. On my podcast, I share candid updates from my personal life,
chat with some of my best friends about what's going on in our lives, give commentary on
the latest pop culture headlines, and sometimes
deep dive into random topics I'm obsessed with, like human design. It's a bit all over the place,
but that's how I like it. And you will too. Listen to my podcast, Dossi, wherever you get your podcasts.
Do you watch Houses of New York?
I do. And I'm going to say I'm one of the ones who equally love,
I love the old school cast because I'm very tight with a lot of them. I've had relationships with
them. I've worked with them for so many years, but I'm not a total hater on the new cast. I'm just
not. I believe in the fresh faces and learning about the new world, I think we're so
accustomed to like the old school New York girls that are they just don't give a fuck,
which we all love. But it's kind of the same as kind of partly, probably the Jersey ending
in that capacity was like, New York got so toxic too.
You know what I mean?
Just like the women got so nasty on the show
and then off the show.
So I feel like it's like people think,
like we were saying ratings
and whatever is the most salacious and crazy,
Bravo will love it.
And why wouldn't they eat up like a total villain
or someone who's like a fucking racist, but it's like, No, like
there are morals at the end of the day, like the way Jax was
kicked off Vanderbilt rules for being just like a terrible, you
know, human and a bigot and whatever. So I love all the
girls. Like I just feel like all them are so cool. Like I love Aaron. The new girls like Aaron's like a friend. I
think Sai is super cool. I loved Brynn. And she was on the pod
last season and I loved her and but she she's doing that thing
this season which you were kind of saying that Jackie started to
do which Brynn shouldn't have done that because she was A,
A game last season.
A game.
My, and I'm very close with Erin too.
We're very good friends.
I love Erin and I love Sy.
She's been on the pod as well.
But like Brynn, I was infatuated with her the first season to the point of like, I'm
like, she's so cute.
She's so gorgeous.
I love the way she flips her hair. Like I I'm like, she's so cute. She's so gorgeous. I
love the way she flips her hair. Like I love the way she walks in the room. Like I like
how she's like a little clumsy or something. Like I just, I really appreciated her and
I do, I feel like she's having a total different season this year.
Well, she's doing the thing, which is like, she's like what everyone like, you know how
like things like catch a name. So everyone's like, she's like what everyone like, you know how like things like catch
a name. So everyone's like, she's self producing. She's self producing.
As soon as that happens, it goes downhill. Like if there's like,
Who told her like, you were so good, you were yourself, it worked. You were a little bitchy
and a little gossipy, but also vulnerable. Like it was just perfect. And then now she
did this thing. And I feel like producers, I mean, you know, like, they they fucking you know,
they catch on and they caught the moment
see it from a mile away. And the problem is the fans of these
shows have been watching them for so long. They also know the
formula. So they also can spot it out from a mile away.
Like when she was trying to tell, she was trying to tell
somebody like what to say like, no, like, give it back to me. she was trying to tell, she was trying to tell somebody like what to say,
like, no, like give it back to me.
She was trying to tell Rebecca.
Wait, were you shocked that they aired that?
I even being in this world,
I'm like, I am shocked they aired that.
I don't know. Well, that's what I was trying to say.
I feel like that was like a producer's like,
kind of like dig, like she probably thought
that they wouldn't like, oh, they won't air this,
she'll just air when she like does it back. But I feel like that was like dig, like she probably thought that they wouldn't like, oh, they won't air this soldiers air when she like does it
back. But I feel like that was like the kind of like a fuck you
to Brin, you know, like, no, but we're putting it in and making
it look real bad, which sucks because you look, it's so
embarrassing. I feel like the word is just embarrassing. Like
you were trying to like, produce the show, produce the show. And
people hated that
moment. Like, people could not turn for many reasons. They
could be like, Oh, so she gossiped or she said what she
said, because it's a reality show. Like all of you like say
what she said to them. And they said it so that whatever. But
that moment and also, yeah, she came on and like Erin, like
she'll be so cute with Erin and then like talk major
shit.
You know what I mean?
And you're like, are you friends?
I thought you were friends.
Yeah, but that makes the perfect housewife.
I'm sorry.
Like that, like you need one of those.
You kind of need, I'm not saying I'm that housewife, but you do need one of those.
It's always fun to have one of those around, right?
I mean, as a viewer, but I feel like you need one who's like, okay, she'll like, keep your secrets.
And then she'll like, she'll give she'll she'll give one to the team. She'll be
like, she'll say a thing that like doesn't really matter, but it'll create
some drama. I feel like with Brandon, it's like everything there's just no,
you could open up with her like the deepest thing. And she's like, well, you
did say, you know, it's just too too much and it sucks because I do think that she's a natural
and she has, she has the charisma and she has that like thing, you know, and she just
went too far this season, but maybe the season needed her. I mean, Rebecca Minkoff really
wasn't trying. She just came in like, I'm here. Yeah. She really was just like, I'm
not sure why I'm here, but I'm here. So like, let's do this type of vibe, you know, which
I can appreciate too, because she's really not acting. She's really not self producing.
She's just there. I do appreciate it. Listen, I'm not hating on the new New York guys. If
you're watching it, I would say to watch it because right, like it's just, I-
It's fresh, it's fresh.
I agree, I agree.
I think it's gonna take another season
for people to really get used to them.
It's very different too.
Like think about the old housewives.
Like they're all like up every side.
It's all the same here, like size in Brooklyn,
like Aaron's on the upper rest.
Like they're actually New Yorkers. You know what I mean? Like they're all like here and cool and-
Exactly. And the world's also-
What about Luann? You know I had Luann recently. It was the funniest episode.
How was that?
No words.
I know. She is, every time I bump into Luann, I'm just like, oh, here we go. It's always a thing. It's always a vibe.
Do you know that Luann is one of the top people that, if not the number one person in the
Housewives world and the Bravo world, all the Bravo liberties, gets the most requests
on cameo than any other Bravo celebrity there is?
She is always at the...
I get a lot of cameos,
so this is how I know this.
She is at the, there's a leaderboard.
There's a Bravo leaderboard.
Where, where is that?
On the cameo, there's, on the cameo app,
there's a Bravo leaderboard.
And Luann is always number one.
Guess who's always number two?
You.
No, no, I wish.
No, I'm not, but I'm, I, you know, I'm up there.
I see them, I see them all, but I get
a lot of cameos. Number two, Ramona.
Sonia. Sonia Morgan. Sonia. And guess who else is up there a lot? Jax. You see Jax up
there a lot, believe it or not. Wait, can any person see this leaderboard?
I don't know. I think you might have to be on, like on their list of your one.
It is Luanne taking a low price.
Maybe that's why I do think she's more fairly for price, but not like she's not cheap.
She's not cheap.
It's good for you guys for doing that because it's takes it's so time consuming.
I mean, yeah, it is.
But she, she won one.
I'll tell you a quick little quick thing just to
end this. She does wild shit. And she's probably now doing like things with cigarettes and
fucking she's probably like, she's probably doing drugs on the cameo. Like she's right.
Today is probably a great time to get a cameo is what I'll say because she's she's she's
Lucy Goosie right now. She is she's like ready to go ready to show it all like and if she
wasn't before I did the first
ultimate girls trip that ever came out with Luanne, right? I'll never forget. First of
all, she walked in the very first scene or whatever you want to call it. We come out,
we change from our pajamas. I walk in, the guy's serving us coffee. She's butt ass
naked. I was like, holy shit. Hi, good morning. Like I
was just, I was like, I'm looking at your whole like, this is crazy. She's like, good
morning, darling. I'm like, Jesus Christ, is this how it's going to be the whole week?
Like it was so funny. And it was that's like that's hit me of a of a she's like a reality
star. Goddess. Yeah, goddess. Whatever you want to call it. She's, and
that's what's very hard, I think, for these people to compare when you're getting that
and you're getting Sonia Morgan hanging from the chandeliers and then you're getting these
women a little bit more buttoned up. I think people are losing their minds over that. I
think they're going to loosen up. I think they're gonna loosen up.
I think they're gonna stop caring about,
just like I did from season one,
like you're gonna stop,
you'll stop caring about what people think as much
and you're just gonna like,
we're gonna see more as it progresses.
I bet you we see a little bit more messiness as it goes on.
I feel like we will.
Well, I think these women wanna be taken seriously.
And like with all due, with all due, like Luanne and Sonia are like, you know, fun, but they're like ridiculous. You know
what I mean? No, I think these women like are owning businesses and like they're exactly
they're young. Like I feel like they have more to lose, you know, like they don't care
as much at that.
1000% and I agree with that just because you know, that's the way I always thought about it.
I didn't do the crazy.
You don't see me on the show doing the absolutely craziest things just to do it for TV because
I know that I'll be the queen of Bravo.
Like I know how to get the approvals over there.
I know what to do, but I never did it.
I found other ways, right, to stay genuine to myself, my family, who I am, stay the fun
like family girl that works hard and, you know, like you find other ways to make sure
that, look, perfect example, where are these New York girls now?
Once Bravo lets you go, then what?
You're stuck with that like identity.
Do you know what I'm saying?
So and then how- You're number one on Cameo.
Then, Louie, that's what she, yeah.
She's, I mean, she packs it.
She packs a building.
No, she has her cabaret.
She has her cabaret.
She packs a building too.
But I get what the New York girls are thinking because they're seeing how, listen, these
shows, eventually they go, they come and they go, and they don't want to be sitting there
with like, wow, I made a fool out of myself.
So I agree with them. You know, so anyway, Amanda, I knew I was gonna love talking
to you. This is so much fun. Flu flu by. Yes. Like I could talk to you for another two hours,
by the way. So I'm going to come to you next. We're going to go on the not skinny, but not
fat podcast. Yeah. And come in person. I'm gonna.
Why don't we do that?
Let's definitely plan that.
Yes, let's set it up.
Guys, if you are not following Amanda, you must.
She has great content and her pod is amazing.
Amanda, I'm sending you sprinkle cookies.
You're gonna get them within the next week or so, so be excited for that.
Do not forget because I'm very excited.
Oh my God, it's gonna be the best day of your life.
And now I'm looking up Luann on Cameo because I just need to do my research.
You need to know how much she charges.
Okay.
Oh, damn.
How much?
How much?
I'm going to try so much fun.
135.
Okay.
All right.
I'm just saying, she ranks it in.
I've seen her totals before on accident sitting next to her in her car.
I was like, that's what you made this year on Cameo?
She's like, yes, darling. I'm like, oh my God, she's killing
it. She's killing it. Trust me. Big numbers. Number one on Cameo, ladies and gentlemen,
Luann De La Salle. I love it. Oh my God. All right, Amanda, we will talk soon. Thank you
so much for coming on. It was nice to meet you. You too. I'll talk to you soon. Okay.
Bye, babe. Yeah!
