If you have another job, quit.
If you want to do Dancing with the Stars, you got to be really focused on that.
What's up guys?
I am really, really excited about this guest today.
You know I love Dancing with the Stars and
I've always talked about possibly being on it one day. You never know. So I figured let's
bring on someone who knows all about that world. You've seen him as one of the professionals
on Dancing with the Stars. He danced with Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Jayne, Janet Kramer, and so many more. So today I have with me the very handsome
Gleb Sobchenko. Did I butcher your name? How did I do?
No, that's perfect. That's perfect. Thanks for having me. I'm super excited.
Oh, I'm so happy to have you here. I think you're actually like the first Dancing with
the Stars professional I've ever had on. I'm so excited.
Here we go. Yeah. Let's go.
This is exciting. Okay. I feel like my listeners have definitely asked me from someone for
some of the pros. So I'm actually excited to have you on. I have so many questions just
because I'm so nosy and I'm in like a very like jealous type relationship. So I'm always so crazy about watching the way
you guys all connect. So we're gonna just dive right into
Dancing with the Stars because I have so many questions. Is that
cool?
Yeah, let's go. Let's get started.
Okay, so first, I just want to ask you like something just so
my people know about you a little bit, how did you first start dancing?
What's your dancing background?
How did you get started?
Oh my God.
I mean, I started a really long time ago.
I was seven years old.
That's when I started.
And it's actually a funny story, true story.
Teacher walked into a class in the middle of a lesson and said, I'm organizing after
school program. Raise your hand hand whoever wants to sign up and obviously all the girls you know I
want to go and dance and none of the boys because don't boys don't dance but
I really really was in love with this particular girl she was sitting just not
too far away from me on the you know know, side by side. And she went to dance.
And I remember I went home that day
and I asked my grandma to go and take me and sign me up.
And she goes like, I was seven.
Can you imagine?
And she was like, listen, boys play hockey,
boys play soccer, like boys don't dance.
I was like, I don't care.
I just, you know, I really like that girl. She's going dancing.
I'm going where she's going. If she likes dance, I'm going to like dance. And that's
exactly exactly. And that's how that's how I started. And I never stopped since then.
And yeah, it's crazy. Wow. Was this in Russia? It was in Russia. Yeah. Wow. That's such a
cute story. And like, so you had no idea that you were good at dance.
You were just like, this girl's cute and I'm going wherever she goes.
Exactly.
And I just wanted to spend a little bit more time with her, you know, eight hours of a
day.
It wasn't enough being in school.
And like, it's like after school program.
Oh my God.
And knowing the way you can move your body.
I mean, I'm sure this little seven-year-old girl
was quite impressed at whatever you were doing.
That time it's really kind of, she knew what's going on.
Do you still know her?
I mean, I'm sure you've told this story before.
Do you know her?
Do you guys ever keep in touch?
No, I don't think, yeah,
I don't think I know where she's at.
I remember she was blonde, blue eyes, beautiful.
Oh my god. So cute. Okay, well onto the show. Let me ask you this. I always wondered this.
With the partner pairing, how does that work? Do you get any say at all? Do you go over
to the producers and are you like, listen, this one is someone I'd really like to work
with or do you have any say whatsoever?
No, so we don't really pick our partners we our executive producers and casting director
picks it for us. But I know from like a celebrity point of view, I've heard it's not 100% again,
don't quote me on that. But celebrities can pick their partners.
Like let's say, oh, I want to dance with Val or I want to dance with Gleb or I want to,
you know, yeah.
So like, like for example, Miriam Sorvino told me that she wanted to dance with me and
she asked for me.
So that's how we got paired.
Got it.
Okay.
I think they do that.
I think, listen, we're doing our contracts, right? The celebrities are doing their contracts and they're like, I really would like to dance with
this one. Like, and they're probably going to give it to them, right? Because they want them to sign
on and they want to do it. Well, at the best, what if there's, whether there's another two celebrities
really want the same person? Right. So how is that going to work out? It's going to go to who has the most
clout at that point. Exactly. They don't know.
Do they pick out of a hat?
I always wondered that.
Does anyone get any say in who they dance with?
I mean, listen, it seems like you got paired up with a lot of our Beverly Hills Housewives.
You had Lisa Vanderpump.
You had Erika James.
I love Housewives.
That's my favorite.
You do?
Do you watch the shows?
Do you watch Housewives shows?
I used to actually when Lisa was my partner and Erika Jane was my partner.
I kind of like watched the show a little bit.
I wasn't a Housewives.
I wasn't a couple of episodes of Housewives.
I remember that.
I remember when Lisa fainted and you were the handsome partner and everybody was like,
wow, look at this.
I mean-
I'm still really curious if she faked it or she did not.
I really want to ask her at some point.
I'll be like, tell me the truth.
Was it really you fainted?
Was it that hard for you or you just kind of like acted out?
I don't know.
I mean, you were standing right there.
What was your immediate thought? I was shocked. I mean, you were standing right there. What was your immediate
thought? I was shocked. You can see the clip. I was like, Oh my gosh, you just dropped that.
Wow. This is going to hit the press. And they were filming her show.
And she was so, I mean, I really fell for her because she didn't feel very good.
And I remember she had like a flu
or something at the same time.
Look, it's a lot of pressure.
It's hard, it's hard.
It's like a sport.
If you have never danced before
and you're not physically trained,
if, you know, producer tell you,
oh, you're gonna be dancing with this handsome Russian dude
who's gonna take care of everything
and make you feel
like a queen, they're right, 100% right, that's my job.
But also, you have to be physically prepped, you have to be, it's good if you have a little
bit of a dance experience, right, and you love it, and you're like your mindset, you're
going into the show and you're ready to win.
It's not like, oh, I'm just gonna hang around for a couple of weeks because those couple
of weeks are still tough.
You gotta learn to dance.
Sometimes it's two dances.
It takes all your life, all your time, everything.
If you have another job, quit.
If you wanna do Dance with the Stars,
you gotta be really focused on that.
Right.
So it's, but it's such a rewarding show.
This is the best life experience you can ever have.
That's for sure.
Yeah, like I can see that.
Listen, it's not a side piece at all.
It's definitely not.
It's definitely like a full time.
Like if you are gonna sign up for this,
you have to go all in.
You are gonna sweat, you are gonna cry.
You can see that it's so hard and people underestimate. And I think even people joining just think it's all in, you are gonna sweat, you're gonna cry. You can see that it's so hard and people underestimate.
And I think even people joining
just think it's all like glitz.
I realize what it is.
I see it and I've always like second guessed.
I've had my agent come to me multiple times saying like,
can I pitch you for this?
Do you wanna do this?
And I'll go down a laundry list of reasons why,
like I have never done this yet and that
we haven't made it happen yet. But you can totally see that it's definitely rough and
it's no joke. Like it is no joke. You can't even think about like who's going to pick
your kids up from school. It's got to be like someone is manning down the floor everywhere
else.
Yeah. And if you're flying coast to coast, that's going to kill you.
You got to relocate to LA.
It's a lot of things.
It's a lot of steps.
Right.
So you know what I always wondered too?
So say I live in New Jersey, right?
And this all takes place in LA.
Are the pros flying into New Jersey a couple days a week so that we can practice where
the celebrity lives?
Or how does that go?
So if you're in Jersey and I'm in the land,
we're partnered together,
I probably will fly to Jersey and train you there
every single day, not a couple of days a week,
every single day for five hours a day.
And then we're gonna fly back for camera blocking,
which is on Monday, because now we have a Tuesday show.
And we perform live on Tuesday,
and then we're probably gonna take a red eye,
because you wanna see your family,
you wanna see your kids.
We fly and we Wednesday, we land on Wednesday morning,
we go into rehearsal, you do your errands or whatever, and then we stay in training, but it's like five hours every day, minimum.
So the pros really do come out to whoever they're partnered with, which does make it
a little more tempting and easier because you can be in your own home at night.
There's just like a couple days out of the week that you're out, right?
That you're doing the LA thing.
Yeah.
Okay. Well, that makes it a little more like I could see why so many people have signed up because I'm just like how
How if they live in New York do they just leave for three months like what goes on like how do some people do?
Some people sometimes this you know if you're really into it, and you're like okay
I have a good shot at it. I can make it all the way till the end and
You know you physically exhausted and all the traveling
is going to also kill you.
So you'd rather move to LA and stay for a few months in LA and let your husband and
the nannies and everybody deal with the kids and you just focus on your thing.
If you really want to make the most out of it.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
A thousand percent.
Guys, you know how crazy I am about my skincare, right?
Small easy changes in your routine can have amazing results.
And your secret weapon should be Dime Beauty.
Dime Beauty is clean, high-end skincare that is affordable.
And it really, really works.
Dime didn't sacrifice performance
just to make it clean either.
And when I say clean,
dime is 100% transparent about every single ingredient.
So you can use their products daily with confidence.
So I wanted to take the guesswork out of my routine.
So I started with their works collection.
I don't have to remember the order of a 10 step routine.
No one has time for that. I especially do not. The work system is everything you need
in one powerful package. It includes a gentle cleanser, a toner, two incredible serums,
and two luxurious moisturizers. Plus, Dime's sold out retinol alternative, the TBT cream,

You are going to love this stuff.
So have you ever had, I mean, and you've been paired with so many great people, Chrishell,
Mel C, who I love.
I love Mel C, so many, so many, so many more.
But have you ever had anyone that you really were like, wow, like I have to push this one
through? I'm losing her. Like she's giving up on me here. Have you ever had anyone that you really were like, wow, like I have to push this one through.
I'm losing her.
Like she's giving up on me here.
You want the whole like-
I want some juice.
Give me someone who was like, I cannot do this.
And you're like, come on.
And I also want to know like, how do you motivate them?
How do you pull them through and like make them keep on?
Because you want to win as well.
This is also on your shoulders too. You know, you're also come out with the, with the, with the
winning thing there.
I mean, look, it's not about me. It's about them. So when I get paired with a celebrity,
I try to cater everything to that. Just my priority when I meet a person, I want to make
sure that this person is comfortable with me in the environment because I'm taking
her in my world.
She might be a Hollywood actress or a singer or a reality star.
She's a professional at what she does.
But the moment she steps into a dance studio, we need to understand that she's stepping
out of her comfort zone.
She's never done something like that.
And me just being this Russian dictator, going to go, go, go, go, go, that's not going of her comfort zone. She's never done something like that. And me just being this Russian dictator,
you're gonna go, go, go, go, go, go,
that's not gonna work for her.
She's gonna break down in tears.
She's gonna hate her experience.
She still tells her agent, I want it off.
And that, you know.
So my number one job is to make you fall in love with dance
and fall in love with this art form.
And then you training your body, you learning
the routine and you dancing to the music, it just honestly like opens up your whole
totally different quantum field of energy and of your understanding and learning about
your body and learning about your emotions and learning about a lot of things.
So for a lot of people, if partners click together and we have understanding and a good
time and you know, it's not, it is about winning and it's not about winning.
So the first couple of weeks for me is important to make you comfortable that you love what
you do, you look the best you can be.
That's my job, you know, because we're
on TV, we're performing, you want to look like a million dollars, you want to do your
best and try your best and be confident about it, right, and enjoy.
So later on when we're like week five, week six, it gets a little harder and then me as
a pro, I already know whether we're going all the way or we're not.
So if we're going all the way, I can press a little bit there and a little bit there.
And to me, I just want to execute the dancing.
I'm not trying to change as a person.
I'm not trying to do anything else.
To me, most important, you do the dancing, we learn how to do it, and you love it.
You do it with elevated emotion, with love, and everything else.
Again, there are many moments, because both of us, if we get into it, like me and Shangela,
this is one of the best partnerships I've ever had, is because we were on the same page.
Number one, DJ killed it every single week, the performer, And like, he's never, like really not a trained ballroom
or any kind of dancing.
He's a dude, right?
So two guys dancing together.
To me, like a couple of first weeks,
I had to kind of like readjust myself,
literally readjust myself all the time.
When we're in a closed hold position.
But we had such a good connection and dynamic and he was so creative that also me as an
artist it helped me to deliver good pieces and I really enjoyed it.
And sometimes they're a little bit more fragile people. They're like, okay, it's okay, you get it,
let's do it again.
And then you hold their hands and they cry
and they're like, I can't do it anymore.
Okay, that's okay, boom, let's go.
By the way, none of the housewives were like this.
Housewives are tough and I love that.
Lisa was a trooper, Erica Jean was like, let's go.
Everybody's like, I got this shit.
Come on, let's show them.
Yeah.
Yeah, we know how to fight.
We're fighters.
We get in there.
We are competitive.
We are winning.
No one's taking us down.
Absolutely.
I love that.
We come in strong.
We go hard.
It really is like there has to be a point where you're kind of almost like an emotional
coach as well because you truly besides teaching these women and everyone had a dance, it's
like it comes so natural to you to like move your body and these moves and you pick it
up so quickly.
But I'm sure some of the people you were with, it was hard.
Like it doesn't come naturally.
They have two left feet and they're like, what the frig did I just get myself into and you know we can see it as the fans of the
show when someone is really really like trying hard and they're just it does not come natural
and they're like working their asses off and I always respect when you guys get a partner
like that because I'm like it's not they don't hear the beat. They don't feel the
moves. They're not listening like it doesn't come to them in
their head and they are trying really hard to like do the
right thing and I always have major respect for the
contestants like that because that's it makes it that much
harder for them 100%. It's insane. Yeah. I mean, did you
ever have a contestant that you really thought they
got slighted a little bit or you really thought they had a great chance at winning the mirror
ball with you? Like you were like, this one could have went even further.
Oh my gosh. I mean, you always, you always kind of hope for, for that extra week or like an extra couple of weeks.
Like for example, with Mel C, she was an amazing dancer.
She was an amazing, just like she could execute all the moves and I felt like we got eliminated
a little bit too early.
I think we got like to week eight or something.
We could have gotten a couple more weeks, right? Again, we were against a lot of other great people
who could dance.
Right. It depends who you're up against, right?
Yeah, it really depends. And sometimes I go like, is it really me? Do I really suck that
I can't fucking win this shit?
No, I know. That's what I'm saying. It's on YouTube because
you're like, what the hell, but I do think it's all about
timing. It's all about who you're up against. It's like
there's a whole formula. And don't forget, there's like fans
out there voting also, right? So it's, it depends on like, who
can like rally the fans the most to come in and place the votes. There's so many different
aspects and then there's the judges, right? So it's like, there's just so many. I mean,
it's a lot, but you do awesome. You're amazing. You're like an awesome person.
Apparently with Sheena, she really wants to dance with me and then we're going to win the show.
And then you're going to win the whole show. Listen, I heard about this little Tiff. Do
you want to explain a little bit? I know she was a little sour about Ariana not telling
her that she was going to be on and then she, a comic. What happened? You trained her once
for, you choreographed her first wedding?
Yeah. And look, I've known Sheena since Vanderpump, right?
Vanderpump rules. When I danced with Lisa, it was the first season of Vanderpump rules.
Okay.
And I think I like Sheena a lot. I think we actually friends, like I see her all the time.
She came to support Ariana when she was at the ball and, always said hi, like she was super sweet and she is a super sweet girl
and honestly I never meant to like say any hurtful things that she does not, the number one I did not
mean to say or I said, I don't remember that I said that she does not have enough star power,
I think she's got enough star power to be on the show. I think she would do great and amazing and especially,
you know, she's been,
I hear that she's been like taking classes
and dance classes and like preparing for it
and she really wants to do it.
I think she'll be great on our show.
Look, and I kind of saw her at Coachella by the way,
kind of like waved from the side.
Did you see her at Coachella?
Yeah, I saw her at Coachella.
We haven't really spoken because she was like going that way and I was going this way.
We kind of like just, I was like, hey, she's like, okay, you know.
So she's not mad at you, she's letting it blow over.
She's a sweet girl.
I think she's a sweet girl.
She's great and I never wanted to like…
Affend her.
…feelings and saying like something you know hurtful
no I think she'll do great okay all right but she wants to be paired with Alan let him
have her and you know I guess because so the celebs verbally say out loud like I want this
one like this is who I think she said I think she said it at one of the reunions,
the Vanderbilt reunion, that she wanted to be paired with Alan.
And I was like, sure.
You're like, whatever.
Good.
Whatever.
Yeah.
It's so funny how everyone just wants, everyone wants their shot on Dancing with the Stars.
And once you get on, you don't even realize how freaking hard that shit is.
It is so hard.
I know it is.
I just, I know.
I did a little choreography once with Chris Judd
for this like beat stock thing we did.
It was like a big like radio show out here.
And I couldn't believe, like it all looks like
fun and games until I was like rehearsing with him
five days a week.
And I was like, holy crap, this is no joke.
Like it's no joke. It's no joke.
Even if you're a good dancer in a club or when you were young, whatever, I was in the
clubs, I danced, this is so different.
It is so different than any of that.
Guys, it's a new year and I know how it is.
You make that resolution, you stick to it for a few days, but then life gets in the
way, right? It's hard to stay motivated when you don't have someone

Well, the dream partner. Ooh, the dream partner.
Like do you ever tell the producers you need to get me this person?
I mean, the dream partner, like, I want somebody who's got a great personality, has some dance
experience, you know, young and cute.
And we just vibe together and we have a good time. I train her how to dance and she picks it up in like two hours in the studio.
Boom, let's go grab some coffee and lunch or something.
Oh my, isn't that great when you get someone that just like comes to them and it's like,
wait, who was that?
Did you mention somebody's name?
I don't know.
I don't know who that could be.
I don't even know.
Margot Robbie?
How about Margot Robbie?
Margot Robbie, I think would be great. I think't know who that could be. I don't even know like Margot Robbie. How about Margot Robbie?
Robbie I think would be great. I think Miley Cyrus would be great. I think
Yeah, I think some look she know would be great too
You you're gonna be great too, but I don't think I want to fly to Jersey though, I know
You're going to be great too, but I don't think I want to fly to Jersey though. I know.
That's the thing.
You want to stay in LA.
Well, you want to laugh about this.
I always giggle since we're talking about this.
I always giggle about because I've always watched the show and there's so much intimacy
watching the partners dance, right?
And so Joe and I usually like at night, whatever we watch on TV, we're usually watching it
together.
So when I was in my like Dancing with the Stars phase and era, I was watching it all
the time constantly.
So he was watching it.
And we would giggle about like how much the two partners would look like a couple, like
not just through the dancing, like they'd be staring in each other's eyes
Obviously, there's a lot of touching going on right because I mean it's professional touching but it's you're touching you're in each other's space
You're probably going to lunch. You're probably even okay This is what we used to giggle about when you guys are standing there with the judges, right?
And you're just getting you're just waiting waiting and you're holding onto each other.
I'm like, what the fuck?
Like I would freak out.
Like I'm like, this is like no one would,
my husband would be like, there's no way this is crazy.
Like the way that they're like holding each other.
And we always, always giggle about this.
And it's hard and it's an amazing thing.
Like you guys are acting, right?
You're just being partners together.
You're doing what you have to do
to complete this dance or whatever.
But I always giggle about like,
there's gotta be jealous husbands in the stands
from all of these like handsome men
dancing with their girls and vice versa
for the girls in the stands watching their husbands
with these beautiful, long legslegged, gorgeous women.
I always think that's the most interesting part of Dancing with the Stars because I'm like,
all right, the dancing's great, but like look at the connection that all of these couples have and
the way they gaze into each other's eyes. Like, can you talk to me about that? Like, is that all
part of the thing? Like, what is that? Well, so it's interesting that you said that because I was just thinking to myself and
also asking myself a question, what is it? Because number one, it's not sexual at all.
Whatever that you see, there are moments and like some people if they're single and they have some connection some chemistry
They develop like along the way and they enjoy it and they like it. Maybe something later something happens or whatever
I don't know but
imagine that you
Let's say a simple example, right jumping off the plane with a parachute
You have an instructor next to you who pulls the thing who tells you to close your mouth and eyes or whatever that spread your arms and
fly and enjoy. It's the same feeling like you're jumping into the unknown. Imagine that
that person next to you holding your hands and telling you, giving you this pap talk
every single week, you got this. Listen, just stay with me, look me in my eye, like we got
this timing, we got the moves. And you're doing something you've never done before out of
your comfort zone, in front of the millions of people on TV live. You get through it once,
you get through it twice, you get through it three times, and then you develop that
connection with that person that you're next to, you start trusting that person. You start not just becoming their best friend, but everything like, and I have faith in you as my partner. And I'm like,
shit, she's really in it with me. We're the team, you becoming a team on top of that. Yes,
you develop a certain energy and certain chemistry. Like you said, we're in each other's space, right? Each of us, we have our aura
around us and when we enter that space, we become very close, we start connecting and
you know, I tell you how to touch my hand and how to look me in the eye, like all of
that like the touching the faces and the turn and the body and the dips and all of that,
it's choreographed. We rehearse that for hours and hours and hours
and you're like, your hips are on almost like on top of my hips, we're doing all this lift.
And it's not about a sexual position and like doing all of that. It's not it's more of a,
I need you to bend back, I need you to do a split, I need you to open your arms and do this or do this and do this and be just sexy and that's
it.
That's it.
I wish my listeners could see him right now when he's slapping his face, he's grabbing
his chest, he's caressing his body.
It's great.
It's wonderful.
Yeah.
And this is why I feel like there's got to be, there's had, there's got to be a couple
partners that you've had where you can feel the energy that like their spouse is freaking
out on the other side or like stressed out or whatever.
Are you going to admit this or not?
Oh my gosh.
I mean, look, I had a few partners that, you know, definitely where you rehearse, the rehearsals
goes much easier because she's cute, you know, and it's like you're in it and you like what
you see.
That's much easier.
Like she's hot.
Okay, let's say that way.
So you just like vibe, you vibe better.
You just vibe and you just vibe and, you, you yeah, like you like the person.
It's just easy on your eye and like you teaching them how to dance and they can do it and they're
a little pigeon-toed but then they get it and they're like, oh, you know, it's cute.
Yeah.
Wow.
That's crazy.
So you've never, you never really had an experience where you knew
that you're not going to say anyway, you're not going to call anyone out. So I'm not going
to ask you to call them out. But I'm dying for the juice. I'm calling myself out. I feel
like I just feel like it would be so like stressful if I had to watch Joe with these
girls. I'd be like, what is this?
What is this staring into each other's eyes?
Like, what's happening here?
Well, listen, it's really hard.
If you've never kind of experienced that
and you let your husband go and all the girls are going to,
we are all of the professionals, all the pros
in dance with the stars.
We're very professional.
For us, this is a job, this is what we do. Of course.
But it seems from the outside, it seems like, oh, shit, they're hooking up. Oh,
are they hooking up? Really? Right.
What is it? That's the fun of it all, actually,
is for so many... And that's just part of TV, the TV world and the entertainment business is for
people to have this perception of what they're seeing. And it's actually part of TV, the TV world, the entertainment business is for people to have this perception of what they're seeing.
And that's actually part of your job, right?
To make us fall in love with this dance
and this couple doing this dance when it's a facade.
Like, and that's what, you know,
the people at home don't need to know that.
They need to just look at these two people
that look like complete lovers in the night,
moving their bodies so swiftly. and it's almost like a fantasy
For a lot of the women that are at home or men that are just watching saying like oh my god
I want to do this like I want to dance like this and I want to like feel whatever is going on over there
So it's it's it is amazing and I do realize it is part of the dance and stuff
But I have to ask what the people want to know
You know, they want to know these things like, like, yeah, the dancing's great, but like
all the extra handholding.
Some people do kind of like has that has that moment and actually it happens.
You know, like, those feelings and, you know, like, for example, Britt and Daniel, You know, like, they've developed those feelings. And, you know, like, for example,
Britt and Daniel, you know, they fell in love on the show. And they're engaged and they're
super happy. Like, and that's what so special. And there's nothing wrong with that. Like,
why not? Like, I mean, we're all humans. Like, let's just share love and love each other. Why not?
If you have feelings, go for it. It is what it is. Right? It is what it is. There's probably
also the flip side of it also where you've had partners that you're like, I cannot stand
like she does not like you guys, you battle a little too. I'm sure not just you but all
of the pros I'm sure have had partners where it's the
complete opposite and you're like I cannot wait till this rehearsal is over because this one
stresses me out or like whatever it is like 100% oh yeah and that is the worst if you have a partner
like that who you hate being in the room with that that's when you're like, oh, I hate
my life. Yeah. You don't want to do that. And again, it's the communication. We're all
grown up. We're like, we know this is the job. You sign on the show. Let's have a conversation.
Let's figure it out. And then that's where it becomes a little not a little bit not fun. Because
then you set the you set the boundaries where we come in, we
work, we say goodbye, we come in, we film, we say goodbye, then
it loses its own organic progression in everything.
Me as a teacher, it's hard to really teach you and get you to the level that I think
you can get because you have that facade of just teach me, don't tell me anything else.
It becomes a little personal if you have your own issues from before.
Everybody has their own
baggage of life experience. And if I say, you know, straighten your legs. And I say
from a point of like teaching point, and you take it personally, and you apply it on something
else, and you get upset about it. And we talked about it. And I say it again, and you think
I'm saying it like you know something to you
personally not to your dancing then I just not critique you at all and when I just kind
of vibe okay teach you a step and if you don't want to perfect this step because look turn
your foot out straight knee no let's do it again okay let's do it again no no that was
a little too close too too slow too fast okay bad a little bit. And that's me telling you, you gotta do this,
you gotta do that, you gotta improve, improve, improve,
improve, improve.
It's like always something, always but.
Right, so you have to be ready for it, right?
Like I, yeah, like in any kind of sport or anything else.
It's constructive criticism, basically.
It's like, listen, I'm not trying to pick on you,
but I want you to be the best you can be and I want you to win. And like, I feel like some
personalities probably can handle that and some personalities can't. So absolutely. Yeah.
Right. Right. And like they start to take it personal or listen, it's a lot of stress,
right? For the celebs who are on this show, they don't want to make a fool of themselves.
So they start to get a little insecure and they start to like lose it a little bit. And if you say
one thing they snap, I'm sure there has to be, you know, throughout this season, right,
stressful situations going on in and out, you know, and at the end of it all, it's like
you they'll probably always appreciate you so much when it's over because they're like, wow, like he dealt with me for all of those weeks. And I was like, losing my mind.

I'd say most of my partners.
I've had great relationships with most of them.
I don't necessarily talk every day with them, but some of them, yeah.
Some of them like Kruschele, we're pretty close.
We sometimes chat and stuff.
Nikki Glazer, I'm pretty close. We're sometimes like chat and stuff. Nikki Glazer, I'm pretty close.
We chat all the time.
Even Erica and Lisa, I go sometimes with Lisa to lunch and stuff.
She's really fun.
I really like Lisa.
It's the accent.
She's got the best accent.
It just makes everything fun.
She's like, darling, hi darling, let's have lunch, darling. He's like darling. Hi darling. Let's have lunch darling. Yeah. Yeah. So funny. Who's
the pro that is like the one to beat? Who is the pro? I think out of out of the girls I would pick
Jenna. Jenna Johnson, Schmirkovski. I think she's fantastic. Like she's not just a ballroom, properly trained girl, but
she's also overall trained. And the execution and the way she just presents herself on stage. I was
watching on tour, they came, Val and her, they did a couple of dances on tour, this past tour.
They did a couple of dances on tour, this past tour. And I was just watching her and I was like, damn, this girl is so hot.
Like hot on stage, not like me looking at her hot like as a hot, hot girl.
But I'm saying like the way she moves, the way she just uses the space and like just
captivates your attention on her.
It's like, it's like almost like, you know,
whatever that she's feeling and makes me feel
and she's taking me into that world of art through dance.
And I'm like, wow, it's fantastic.
And I think I love watching Val dance.
I think Val is great besides also Artem and me.
I mean, all the boys great. Like everybody,
all the pros, they have their own individuality and their own style. And it's like a signature.
You know, like you see the dance, like who choreographed that dance? So who danced, oh,
that Pasha or that Alan or that Brandon, you know, so everybody has their own kind of niche.
Last question about that before I get onto one other fun little new thing that you're
doing. Last question is, is it all up to you to choreograph? They're going to give you,
hey, we're doing this dance. I just need to know who picks the song and do you, the
pro, have to choreograph the whole thing yourself?
Well, so we have a music team, we have a wardrobe team, we have tons of producers who work with
us because otherwise it wouldn't be just impossible for us to do everything.
But we are in charge of choreographing and we talk music weeks before we confirm everything because it
has to clear it has to you have to love the song like right what do you like I
don't know whatever it is like whatever going for it's a movie if it's this if
it's that exactly and then I go and I work with my choreography as a
choreography assistant and I choreograph a dance and I
usually prep everything before I go in and teach to you and pitch it to you.
Also there's another thing people don't realize that we can have a conversation but if sometimes
you get a celebrity that she doesn't really want to do any of this, like your ideas and
your vision on this day is like I don't want to do any of this. Like your ideas and your vision on this day is like, I don't
want to do it. Like I think because a lot of them, they don't really see the final picture
in my head when I choreograph it. I know how I want to start and I know like how it has
to be or even like the colors of a dress and the style of a dress. If it's waltz, you have
to have a long skirt. So like you can't wear a mini skirt doing waltz. So those kinds of things, you have to work with your person. I mean,
there's a lot of work. Yeah, it's crazy. It gets crazy.
It sounds like a lot of work. All right. Well, I can't let you go without talking about the
fact that after all of this formal training you have, you are now officially a Chippendales dancer.
Let's go.
Yes.
Yes.
Bring it to the people live.
I know.
I love it.
I love it.
Why now?
How did this happen?
This is insane.
Like people are probably so excited about this.
True story.
Okay.
I'm going to tell you the true story. I don't think I've ever told that story, but I was in the quick change in the middle of the show during
tour, just past tour and Val, I took off my pants and I took off my shirt. I'm in the underwear.
Val looks at me and he goes like, dude, you look so good. You should do Chippendales. And I was
like, really? He goes like, yeah, like I've never seen you're like in the best shape like you're gonna kill it and I was like, okay, so
Literally that
Evening I read I told I talked to my manager and I said why don't you reach out to them?
I want to try to do Chippendales like Tony the Valani did it Vinny did it Tyson did it
everybody did it why not like maybe it, Tyson did it, everybody
did it. Why not? Like maybe they have a spot for me. So she reached out and two weeks later,
deal with sign and here we go. I love all the sexy dancers. I'm a dancer who does like
all the Fifty Shades of Grey kind of type. You know, so yeah.
You put on a performance. You like to give a little performance. You like to get the
ladies excited.
Like, I get, listen, I give the ladies what they want.
I'm doing it for them.
I'm doing it for the fans.
They want my shirt off.
Give them what they need.
Give them what they need.
That is so funny.
Listen, you're coming to Jersey.
I heard you're coming to Vegas.
You're coming to Atlantic City.
I might have to rattle up my sisters and my girlfriends.
We don't have to just come be a supportive force
in New Jersey and come watch.
I have to look at this up
when you're gonna be in Atlantic City
because you know, it sounds fun.
July 18th through the 22nd, that weekend.
Okay, okay, good.
Well, I'm gonna rally some of the girls
because I think that would be such some of the girls because I think that
would be such a fun girls night. I think that would be so much fun.
That will be a lot of fun.
Yes. So good luck on everything. Thank you so much for coming on today and giving us
all like the inside things. I was dying to know half of these answers. So I know that
like all of my listeners right now are probably so excited. So everyone guys, be sure to check him out.

No, because at the end of the day, I was a child actor who fell victim to an audition

I'm gonna be vulnerable for a second.
