Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up guys? Welcome to On Display. So happy to talk to you guys today and today I'm really going to be talking to you guys. I'm very excited about this episode. We decided to do a little something different today. So Joe and I who actually Joe is late guys, he's not here yet, but he'll be here any minute. Joe and I are taking some calls today,
Starting point is 00:00:32 just to answer some of your questions. I know we've been saying this for a while, that we were gonna go ahead and like, take some callers and answer questions. So I'm excited, oh sorry I'm choking, start that again. Oh, I'm excited to do that. I have no idea who is waiting in the waiting room. If you guys missed it, I put something out on my Instagram,
Starting point is 00:00:52 just giving all the instructions on how people can dial in this number. And we have a ton of people right now waiting in the waiting room, but we are just going to pick randomly. So there's no favoritism. all we see is like random numbers, we have no idea who's calling or where they're coming from. And we're just gonna let them talk to us
Starting point is 00:01:12 for a couple minutes each. So I think it could be super fun, super different. I'm a little scared, I don't know what's gonna happen or like what these people are gonna say to me or to Joe. But I know they're really excited and I'm actually excited to be able to finally speak to my listeners because I read so many of your DMs and everyone gets so excited just to like
Starting point is 00:01:34 give their feedback so, and you know, as you guys know, I can't fully comment on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. I know that you guys all saw the episode. There was a new episode this week, too. You got to see Antonia's 18th birthday dinner, which was so sweet. And so, oh, here he comes. Here comes Joe Gorga. Hello. You're late. You are late to work. Are we live? What's up, Brett? You are late. Yes. I'm just, I'm letting the listeners know how we're gonna start taking callers any minute now. So let's do it We're gonna just answer some questions and kind of see how it goes. Let's go. All right guys Joe's here
Starting point is 00:02:12 You started without me Joe is here. We are going to take our first caller We're just our producer Brett's here with us So he is randomly going to pick people and put them on the line and let's chit chat, Joe. Let's chit chat with the people. Let's do it. Hi, how are you? What's your name?
Starting point is 00:02:31 Where are you calling from? It's Albie from Los Angeles. How are you? Oh my God. Hi, Albie. Oh my God, guys. Albie, I know from Instagram. What's up, Albie?
Starting point is 00:02:44 Say hi to Joe. What's up, Albie? Say hi to Joe. What's up Albie? Hi Joe, how are you? I'm you know, I'm living a dream. I woke up this morning and I'm happy because I got life. He was late today Albie. He showed up late today. He walks in with like a bowl full of peanut butter filled pretzels. That's what Joe's doing right now. Wait, how are you, Dal? How is it out in LA? Tell me how LA is, I'm so jealous. Well, LA is beautiful per usual. It was foggy this morning, but I guess it's that May gloom.
Starting point is 00:03:16 But it's beautiful, and I'm happy to be here with you guys. Just wanna let you know I'm appreciative of y'all. With everything that's going on, you guys are really want to let you know I'm appreciative of y'all. You know, with everything that's going on, you guys are really like strength incarnate. Just wanted to let you know. Thank you. Thank you. No, we appreciate it. And you know, we can't talk too much about the show, but I know everyone feels the climate out there and what's going on and like how it's been so crazy. I mean, a lot of it obviously is gonna come out. I can just say, I'll be this,
Starting point is 00:03:46 I cannot wait for the reunion. That I can definitely say. I feel like there is so much to talk about and so many receipts and it's just like so much to put on the table. You know? Uh-huh. I just find it very odd how someone
Starting point is 00:04:04 can just use you guys as negatively as they've done, especially on a press tour. And when you guys kept it so classy and just showed their lives authentically and didn't have to resort to doing evil. I mean, listen, it's not easy. It's definitely hard because there's so much that we want to say and so much that we want to do, but we try to follow the rules and do the right thing. Right?
Starting point is 00:04:30 So it's hard. But it's not even about following the rules, man. We're just us, man. We're just being normal. We're putting our lives to the world and just being us. If we can touch somebody, and we're not perfect. We're just being real. And that's what's special about us.
Starting point is 00:04:48 And yeah, and you know, I'm a blue collar guy, and I just keep living and I stay humble. We both do this whole entire family does. And we just try to give you 100% of us and nothing else. And they call this reality TV and it is real reality over here So and we appreciate you so much We really do people that understand and know and you know, we do this for you. We really do I Appreciate y'all and I just have I Wanted to make a little remark you guys are real and it's you can't you can't fake the funk like the statement does
Starting point is 00:05:24 There's people that do and the audience sees it. I saw it and I could not stand with it. So I just feel for your family, Melissa, one last season. I love Donna, I love your sisters and I love you. It's just, you guys are just incredible. Thank you, thank you. You know what, my family is so much fun.
Starting point is 00:05:45 They really are. To know them is to love them. They're just really warm, fun people. And I do love that we got to see. We're going to see so much more of them this season, which I'm really, really excited about. And Donna's just like, she's like the matriarch, right? That just kind of like, she leads the way with kindness.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And she's always happy. And she loves to have her family together. So I think you can kind of see that when we're together. That we all just enjoy. We all have a drink together. We all spend time together. We're like a fun family. So thank you, Albie. Thank you so much for your support. You have been awesome. And we just want to say thank you to you. And when we come out to LA, we need to like see you out or something. Yeah, we'll have a drink or something. I am ready.
Starting point is 00:06:28 I got a group ready. We're ready for y'all. Let us know. Yes. Yes, we need to come out there. All right, we're going to take another call. Love you for your support. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:06:39 I'm so happy I got to say hi to you. Thank you. Okay. Bye, babe. Bye. Bye. Hi, how are you? Hello. Hi, Melissa.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Hi, Joe. Hi. How are you guys? We're good. What's your name? Where are you calling from? My name is Maddie and I'm calling from New Jersey. Hi.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Nice to meet you. What part of Jersey? Nice to meet you. I'm from Somerset. Somerset. Nice. Somerset. Okay. We know Somerset. Nice to meet you. I'm from Somerset. Somerset, nice. Somerset, okay, we know Somerset.
Starting point is 00:07:07 What's your question? So this is kind of a fun question, but my question for Melissa is, is there any chance we'll get new music from you ever? You know what, I have the same question. So the question was for Melissa, not for Joe. Well, I have the same question, but go ahead. Just kidding.
Starting point is 00:07:29 You know, I really jumped into Envy so much that it's like, and listen, On Display was so much fun to make. Sometimes I watch back and I like die that I can't believe that I was such a, like I was a young girl with little babies at home and I had the balls to like jump on TV with the piano and singing like acapella. I sometimes watch it and giggle. It's just funny that I actually had the nerve to do that. But no, I can honestly say no. Like would I do something if it approached that was fun?
Starting point is 00:07:59 Maybe with like other housewives or like a little jingle or something like that, yes. Like I would definitely do something. It was more of like a I don't know a group effort or a commercial or like something that's fun right but I don't think I'm gonna go out there as like a recording artist like making new music although I did enjoy that time in my life and I'll never forget like having my kids being young little toddlers in my car asking me to play my own music so that they could sing all the words to the song.
Starting point is 00:08:29 So that was a great time in life. But that was such a good question. I feel like a lot of people always, they want to know that. Would you ever do it again? Maybe. Maddie, Maddie, maybe I'll come out with a single. Oh, God, Joe. I stream.
Starting point is 00:08:41 You'll stream it? If you're getting any residuals from your music, Melissa, it's probably from me. Like I stream your music so much. I'm not even joking. Like, there's so much fun to listen to. Oh, my God. I love you. Like, oh, my God. That makes me so happy.
Starting point is 00:08:59 I love your music so much. Which song do you like the best? Rockstar and on display. Those are my two favorite. Oh, Rockstar. Yeah. Rockstar you like the best? Rockstar and On Display. Those are my two favorites. Oh, Rockstar. Yeah, Rockstar is good. Everybody loves Rockstar. You loved Rockstar too, Jim.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Yeah, I loved it, man. Rockstar was my... I think I like Rockstar better than anything else. You do? Yep. No, I love On Display. On Display is so fun. You know when people slept on, it's such a great song. It's called I Just Wanna.
Starting point is 00:09:19 It's like a dance song. I personally love that song. I would put it on and play it. I would put it on and play it. I would put it on and play it. I would put it on and play it. I would put it on and play it. I would put it on and play it. I would put it It's called I Just Wanna. It's like a dance song. That's, I love, I personally love that song. Like I would put it on and play that song, you know?
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yes, 10,000%. So funny. Oh my God, well listen, we have to keep taking callers, Matty, but you are so sweet. I love that I got to say hi to you and hopefully we do this again soon and if I ever make new music, I'll be happy knowing that you're streaming it out there.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Yes. Thank you so much. Thank you, Maddie. Thank you. So nice talking to you. Bye, doll. Bye, Maddie. Bye.
Starting point is 00:09:54 Hi, it's Melissa and Joe. How are you? Hi. Hi, guys. I'm great. Thank you. I'm so excited. What's your name?
Starting point is 00:10:03 My name is Jess. Where are you calling from? From California. I love you guys. I've been watching the show for years. And you guys are the main reason that I watch it. To be honest with you, I can do without all the like added drama stuff. What I like to see is basically like
Starting point is 00:10:17 how well you guys live your life. I feel like you guys are such an inspiration to me. You're very successful in your businesses, both of you guys, and you look amazing and your guys' relationship is so great. So I find that really inspirational. And so my question for you is basically, what is your advice for somebody who wants to level their own life up? First of all, thank you so much. That was very, very sweet. And you know what? Obviously, we're on this very drama- show. And it is so nice to hear
Starting point is 00:10:48 from people like you who just you do appreciate the fun family scenes and like the good hardworking family. So you know what? Thank you for that. We Yes, thank you. Love it. Appreciate that. And you know, it comes that's a lot of the reason why we stay on the show too, is because we know there's drama mixed in. But there's also, you know, we have like family videos of our kids growing up and like so many fun little scenes that we see that we like to remember. But to go back to your question, Joe, I feel like you're good at that. What's a good, what's a good answer?
Starting point is 00:11:18 Like if you, if someone wants to really level up their life, what's, what's the first start for that? You know, today, I deal with this electrician and the guy is 65 years old. And we pulled up on one site and then I met him at another site and he just sees me running and what he said he goes, listen, I look up to you. And as a 65 year old man saying this to me, he says not because of, just the way you work. You just run and you work and you're nonstop and I've been with you for 15 years and I respect you.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And I said, wow. And the key is just nonstop. You just gotta go every day and that's what we both do. We just get up, we handle our business, we work. Work hard, play hard is definitely a motto too, but I think you need to take advantage of any opportunities you see. So like don't sit on it.
Starting point is 00:12:14 If you see a little open door, right? If you see a little window for something at work, I'm not sure exactly what you do, but I do take, you know, one thing I will say is, pay attention to the signs. A lot of times there is a little door that opens or a little window that opens that and it's networking too. Talk to the people around you, meet the people around you, you know, even if it's at your job or whatever it is in life
Starting point is 00:12:38 that you can kind of, you know, find the next thing or move up that way and I don't know exactly what you do if that makes complete Sense to you, but I do believe in networking huge. I think it's huge Networking and take the jump. Don't be afraid. Everybody's afraid. What if I what if I do that and I lose money What if I if you throw enough things against the wall one of them we're gonna stick and I? I'm not afraid of taking any opportunity and not everything sticks but the ones that do stick you succeed. Okay, just like Starbucks.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Remember Starbucks? Starbucks tried and tried who's going to buy a $7 cup of coffee and he kept on going for years and years and now look at him now. I buy that $7 cup of coffee. So just constantly go and hit every opportunity that you possibly can and not be afraid. Right, right. And put forth the effort and make it a point to be proud of everything that you do because people see that and I feel like that always opens doors. But it was so nice to talk to you.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Thank you so much for your question. I love hearing from great people like you and we really want to say thank you for your support and Yes, thank you you're a doll. Thank you. We're gonna take the next car, but thank you for calling We appreciate people like you so much. Thank you Thanks Guys summer is right around the corner and you know what that means Dehydration season is about to be in full effect Guys, summer is right around the corner and you know what that means.

Starting point is 00:15:21 What's up? How are you? Oh my God. I can't believe I'm talking with you guys. You're awesome. I'm so excited. Hi, it's Melissa. How are you? What's up? What's up? How are you? Oh my God. I can't believe I'm talking with you guys. You're awesome.
Starting point is 00:15:29 I'm so excited. What's your name? Where are you calling from? I'm Sonia and I'm actually from Queens, New York. Queens in the house. Queens, you have to come by Envy. I have a new Envy on Long Island. It's not that far.
Starting point is 00:15:42 I've actually had a bunch of people come from Queens. Yes. They head over there. Yes. I wanted to make it to the opening, but I was away that weekend and I just got back. I promise you, I'm definitely hitting the store because I said for a long time I was going to try to hit the dirty store and I never made it, but now I have no excuse because Huntington is a hard way.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Yep. It's close and it's doing awesome. I love the town of Huntington. Having hard way. Right. Yep, it's close and it's doing awesome. I love the town of Huntington. Having so much fun there. Okay, Sonia from Queens, do you have a question for us, Heather? Definitely. I mean, you guys are just a couple goals and I have to say that's been just an area of problems for me because I've just given guys too much leeway with believing that they'll get there one day.
Starting point is 00:16:30 What are your guys' advice for single girls? And just how to, excuse my language, just kind of like, keep out the bullshit and just see what's real? Right. Well, oh, god. I feel like this would be my forte if I was, because you know what, my hair and makeup girls, a lot of them are single too, and they'll tell me
Starting point is 00:16:55 about their dating situations and all of that. And that's like, I always say to Joe, when we're done with reality TV, all I wanna do is give people relationship and dating advice. It's one of my favorite things to do. And I know it sounds, and for me I'm like, no, just do this and do that.
Starting point is 00:17:12 And I know it sounds a lot easier than it is. But I think it's really important not to give in. That's number one. I know people feel like certain, I don't know how old you are, what the situation is, but some girls feel like time is not on their side or that they need to, they wanna have kids or that they're in a rush
Starting point is 00:17:29 for something and they just, I say don't give in to something you don't want. If someone is not coming off like it's gonna work for you or if you get like these red flags on the first date or even just, I know you guys nowadays, everyone has the apps and there's like a lot of texting and messaging back and forth. If you're not feeling it,
Starting point is 00:17:49 I just feel like it's not even worth the date. I believe that you should kind of click from the beginning and I also feel like it is better to meet someone out in person and I know that's not feasible for everybody or easy, but if you can get out with a girlfriend once a week and just go to a restaurant, grab a drink at a bar, go to the library, walk in the park, go to the gym, there's men in the gym, right? I feel like it's good to get that chemistry and
Starting point is 00:18:21 meet in person. Do you know what I'm saying? Oh, definitely. Definitely. Because yeah, I've been on the apps and it's just, it's, I mean, I think that I ignore red flags and I really, really need to like stop doing that because I definitely like feel it. But then I'm like, Oh, let me give them a chance. I feel sorry or this or that. And I've learned my lesson the hard way. So Thank you. Listen people people don't change. So you got to be you you got to remember it's your world You got to be selfish. It's about you. So you but you got to be cool, too You can't be demanding you can't be like I want to have this I wanted this because men get scared of that So you got to meet somebody be cool, be fun, be happy.
Starting point is 00:19:05 But in the same token, remember, you're in charge and you got to be and don't be insecure and say don't you know, and if it doesn't work out, I mean, meaning if something pisses you off, or you don't like something about them, bounce out of there right away because they are not going to change. And as you get married, that thing that bothers you now gets worse and worse and worse. So, and you know what it is? You don't want to compromise. You have to compromise a little bit, but you don't want to
Starting point is 00:19:32 compromise on the big things, right? You don't want to compromise on this stuff that really matters to you. Whether it be like if they're working, if they have a job, if they, you know, there are certain things that are super, super important to you. Don't compromise if you know it's truly not worth it for you, you know, and you need to know your worth always, which I'm sure you do. Sonia, I'm sure Sonia knows her worth, but you know what I mean. Don't compromise too much, but you also, I'll tell you what's attractive to a man, and this
Starting point is 00:20:01 is, this is be my final little piece of advice. I do feel like if you do have a date and you are into someone and you are interested, right? I feel like, and Joe, you can vouch for this or not. You can tell me if I'm wrong. But I do think that a girl who is happy overall and just light on her feet, airy, and just a happy person, it will go so much further when you're out on a date. I do feel like it and whether it be a guy or girl, whatever it is, like, whoever is sitting across from you, and they're just happy about life
Starting point is 00:20:35 and happy to enjoy and have a moment, I feel like is the best quality and the most attractive thing. Agreed. 100% like if you meet a girl and she's like giving you problems already and she's a head case, oh my God, you get attitude or too much to deal with. No, but it's the same thing vice versa. It's not about just- Yeah, sometimes you can't just pick out a head case. I mean, I'm just saying, if they're just happy across from you, that's the first initial
Starting point is 00:21:03 vibe that you're going to be like, all right, this person's a happy person. They're happy to be they're excited to be out and have a drink. It's that push face miserable. Yeah, that really on attracts people. I'm gonna be honest, when I met Melissa, obviously, I had two fiancees before and I and I was not insecure to leave if I wasn't happy, right. But when I I met her I was so happy and she just came out of nowhere so when you're happy and you just you attract
Starting point is 00:21:33 you attract happiness so just gotta be happy and live life and and and he'll come he'll come trust me but in the meantime have a drink with your girlfriends hang out, enjoy life. You know, life is good, right? You got this. Absolutely, absolutely. Thank you guys so much for that advice. I think that's the key thing.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I think sometimes it's just because I've had so many bad experiences that I kind of go in with, kind of like one eye kind of squinted, like, okay, what are you about? And I'm sure I get that vibe off as well but I think that was really really good good advice because I let guys go way past their expiration dates in my relationships and I I need to know when to cut it off but thank you guys so much and Melissa I
Starting point is 00:22:23 have your sweatshirt I love my sweatshirt. I wear it all the time. I have people that stop me and go, where did you get that from? And I'm like, Envy. Yeah, baby. I love it. Thank you. I love it.
Starting point is 00:22:35 You love your sweatshirt. Good. Thank you for supporting that too. I appreciate it. And Sonia, good luck with everything. We love talking to you. And you never know. Maybe we'll bump into you at Envy one time.
Starting point is 00:22:46 You never know. Oh, I would love that. I love you guys so much. Thank you for being so transparent and just so like you put your lives out there and you don't have to, but you really do. And you guys come across so genuine. So I'm always, I'm glued to my TV every Sunday night. I love you guys.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Thank you for being you. Thank you. Thank you. And it comes across and I love you guys. Thank you. Thank you so much. I love to hear it. Talk to you soon. Thank you. Bye. Hi. It's Melissa and Joe. How are you? How are you? Hi, it's Ashley, the caller from Watch What Happens Live. Oh my gosh, Ashley. Oh my god, Ashley, you're the best. She is... Joe, I just did Watch What Happens Live and we had a caller call in and you know how Andy picks callers.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Ashley, you keep getting lucky, girlfriend. There is a bunch of people in the waiting room. There's a bunch of people in the waiting room and the fact that we just pulled your number is so crazy. That's so awesome. Meant to be, miss, not meant to be. I love it. And guess what, Jo?
Starting point is 00:23:55 The other night when I was on Watch What Happens Live, Andy brought her in for a question on the screen and she had the most gorgeous Envy jacket on. I loved it. Kind of on the I loved it. Yes, actually. Joe is so annoying and drives me crazy and wants me to do it all the time. Right, Joe? He always says that. Here's the thing, I always said my second location was gonna be on Long Island just because it's an awesome like town, it's an awesome place to be. There's so many different people that congregate
Starting point is 00:24:36 to like Huntington, is that a word, congregate? Congrate, yes it is. Okay. To Huntington, Long Island, and it's just like such a busy area. The Jersey Shore, I think, is just a given. I think I have to do it. That's your hometown, baby.
Starting point is 00:24:50 You got to do it. I know. I'm so tired. I'm exhausted. That's all I do is work. And I'm just like, okay. But I do think if I do another one, I would either do it at the Jersey Shore, Chicago, or Nashville.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Those are my three spots that I'm thinking about. Because we were just in Nashville and it was so crazy there, the amount of people, and just to put a store there, like with lots of sequins and denim, I just think would kill it, you know? Yeah, absolutely. Well, if you ever put one at the shore,
Starting point is 00:25:21 I think you would kill it as well, and I will obviously be the number one customer, but still just saying. What part of the shore? Where do you live? I live in Barnacat by LBI. Oh, okay, good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Barnacat.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Raised in Brick. I was raised in Brick, so right near Tom's River. Oh, nice. Nice. Very nice. Ashley, I'm so happy we picked you. You two are like cousins. Yes, and she's so cute. Now I feel like I know Ashley now I'm so happy we picked you. You guys are like cousins. You two are like cousins.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Yes, and she's so cute. Now I feel like I know Ashley now. I've seen her on Instagram. I've seen her on Watch What Happens Live. Now she's been on my podcast. You're like my long lost cousin over here. I kind of am. Good.
Starting point is 00:25:56 What'd you think of the first episode? What do you think of the show so far? I like it. I wasn't sure how I was going to separate you know, like separate where people aren't talking because I don't really like that on like Potomac. So, you know, I wasn't sure. But being you guys have a way longer history, I think it's kind of refreshing. And I also think it will be very interesting to see when the table shifts because that a lot of like friendships that have been formed for many years are now all of a sudden broken.

Starting point is 00:29:31 What's your name and where are you calling from? My name is Kelsey. I'm from Louisiana. Oh, shit. I love our next location. You've been getting everyone from like New York, LA, Queens, Jersey. All over. Finally, we have a little Louisiana.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Do you say y'all out there? Louisiana. everyone from like New York, LA, Queens, Jersey. Finally, we have a little Louisiana. Do you say y'all out there? Louisiana, y'all. Yes, we do. I'm moving to Louisiana. You got it.
Starting point is 00:29:56 It's all the beautiful women. All the beautiful women are in Louisiana. Oh, my God. Of course, Joe's about the women. You know, he's got to throw a little in there, or else he can't rest. He can't rest. I actually went to the Felicia Gorga fan's page on Instagram. Oh my God, I love that. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:30:08 I appreciate that. I appreciate that, Kelsey. That's so nice. Thank you. How's the weather out in Louisiana? That's the first thing I want to How's the weather out in Louisiana? That's the first thing I want to ask you. And the second thing I want to ask you is for a good question.
Starting point is 00:30:30 It's gorgeous, gorgeous. I saw it was a little gloomy in Jersey yesterday. It's always gloomy here. It's been gloomy. It's misery. I don't know what's happening. They used to say April showers bring May flowers, but like Where's the May flowers at?
Starting point is 00:30:47 It's all it does. It's raining. There's just showers. It's terrible. And thank you for running a Melissa Gorga fan account, by the way. That is so sweet. And I do appreciate all of my, you know, all of my fans and anybody who takes the time out of their day to say something positive, because we all know this show is crazy. I mean, you guys taking the time out of your day to do this is so cool. I mean, this is really cool for your fans. You guys are awesome. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. That's very sweet. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:31:17 So my question is actually for Joe. Obviously, we've seen a lot of vindication happening lately. Congratulations, by the way, a lot of karma floating around. But my question for you, Joe, is growing up with the parents that you grew up with, because we all love Nona and Nono, what do you think, as a man raising a family, is the most important lesson that you learned from your parents? Oh my God, what a beautiful question. Such a good question. I love that. You know, um, hard work, hard work, respect, um, the Gorg away. I mean, really, my parents were so, so beautiful and humble, man. I mean, we came,
Starting point is 00:31:59 my dad was a shoemaker. My mother was a stay at home mom. Um, then she drove a school bus. She waited to yes, she waited till we were about I think 12 years old and then she got a job driving a school bus. But yeah, the hardest working people and the only thing they always taught us about love and respect and work. You gotta work. You know, when I was a kid, I was eight, nine years old and and they gave they gave me a newspaper out
Starting point is 00:32:27 We had a we were delivering papers back then that's when papers were in but I would get up at four o'clock in the morning I tell everybody's story cuz it was four o'clock in the morning and we would go And we do it all day and then That's right, we would go go to school then come out of school and I had a job and they always pushed school and work. You have been moving from day one. I have, I have. I always used to look at my dad and I'm like, why is he so mean to me? But he wasn't mean. I look at him now and I always think of him so much because I respect
Starting point is 00:33:03 him and I appreciate him that he made me the way I am today. You see now where he was coming from. Yeah. Yes, yes. And the kids across the street. You know the, yes. You know the pool boy? He's been my best friend since I was five years old.
Starting point is 00:33:17 And he was across the street. I heard that the other day. Yes, and he would be across the street because his grandmother grew up across the street from my house. And he's across the street because his grandmother grew up across the street from my house and he's across street drive Brand new skateboards. They had bikes. They had Harrell's back then are called Harrell's beautiful bikes And here I had a Kent, you know
Starting point is 00:33:33 And I would work my father had me like working in the garden while they're all having a good time And I would say why is my dad doing this to me? But you know what? I appreciate him every day You know, yeah, that is amazing. I mean look at Gino. Look at his company. Like starting off young, starting out strong. That's amazing. You guys are such good parents. And I see without where you get it from. Watching you guys with Melissa's family yesterday, like I get it now. I used to be a Teresa fan. I see the truth and I'm sorry that I ever supported that negativity and you are just such beautiful people and seeing you with Lisa and Kim and I by the way it's I'm just Scott took me out.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Thank you. That was so funny. When they were doing the thing when they were doing that Joey little Joe I know I know everybody thought Scott was so funny at the end everybody was laughing at that. So funny. You guys are just real. You know what it is we're a real family we like to hang together we all enjoy like a cocktail here or there when we're together like whatever it's like we make food together we hang together. People sit there and call it boring but but what are they doing at home? At least y'all are partying. Right, that's right, that's right.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Like, dang. See how she said y'all? I love it. She's like, at least y'all are partying. These Jersey people appreciate y'all here and there. You know? Oh, you guys in Tennessee in denim. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:04 I was glad too that everyone got to see my family on the show last night. And you're going to see a lot more of my family this year. We're going to see my cousin actually get married and Joe's going to officiate the wedding, which is hysterical. Oh my gosh, Father Joe. Father Joe, baby. Father Joe, baby. Amen.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Yeah. Yes. But no, I'm glad you guys are seeing my family. They're actually the warmest people and they're fun I think that's the best part about them They're fun and they believe in making memories and like spending time together and that's what a real family does Amazing that's real and you know what they do. They pick each other up They just pick each other up and they support one another from them. They're just such strong people.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Yeah, which is which is amazing. I mean, it really is. And and if you do well in something and they brag about you, which is, you know, it's it's unheard of. They're really it's it's unbelievable. You know, I just saw a quote earlier today that you might like, Joe, is it something along the lines of you want people on your team who will push you into the opportunity even if it's not for them because that means like they're really
Starting point is 00:36:12 on your side. You know, that's real family, real love, real support. And that's like chef's kiss, that quote. That is so nice. You know, I'm going to be honest with you and that's what it's all about. You know, I push opportunities on to all my friends and I don't want anything for it. They'll say, Oh, I'll cut you into a deal. I don't want the deal. No, you make the money. It's about you and your family. Go ahead. One day you throw me something and I see you succeed. That's what it's about. I'm happy when my friends- That's the kind of tit for cat we need on Jersey
Starting point is 00:36:45 Right, you know, I just love when people succeed around me and and you know, my friends are successful or my family members I I really I enjoy that and I brag about them. So which is you know, I don't understand how people don't see that Like Joey G is the loudest person who's gonna cheer for you in that crowd like you want Joey G on your team yes yes it's crazy to me how little people get that but I think that people are starting to really like the tide is turning and I mean you got your guys this aura is just screaming syndication thank you and I'm so happy for you Kelsey love to hear from you love everything you just said and just know that we appreciate so happy for you. Kelsey, love to hear from you. Love everything you just said and just know that we appreciate you. That is some of that we love to hear from you guys because it's like we want to know
Starting point is 00:37:31 what you're thinking, right? We're watching it and we think we look a certain way. We're not really sure, but it's so nice to hear. It's so nice to hear. So thank you for calling. My producer is telling me we have to take the next call, of course. And we'll see you on Instagram. Have a blessed day, y'all.
Starting point is 00:37:47 Kelsey, Kelsey, you're awesome. Thank you. Joe, say bye, y'all. You guys have a great day. Bye, y'all. Bye, y'all. I love it. Hello, hello.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Hi, how are you? Hello. Oh my God, I can't believe I'm on the phone with you guys. How you doing? What's your name? Where are you calling us from? My name is Lucia and I'm calling you from Chicago. Chicago, Chicago, I love Chicago.
Starting point is 00:38:16 I just told another caller that I'm debating opening an Envy in Chicago because I love Chicago and the fans are amazing in Chicago. Yes, you should totally open it. I'd be there every day. Oh my god. Do you have a question for us? I'm so excited we get to talk to you. Yes, I am so excited too. My question is if you could rank your favorite housewife like whole franchise and like from your favorite to least favorite. Franchises like with like Beverly Hills and all of the other franchises. I mean that it's hard.
Starting point is 00:38:55 I can definitely rank. I know which one I watch the most and Joe, I would say this is the same for you because you you end up having to watch what I watch. Right? Yeah. I think we watch Beverly Hills the most. And the reason we got hooked on Beverly Hills is we're like real estate people. We love homes and architecture and the houses. So I am so nosy just to see their homes, their backyards.
Starting point is 00:39:24 I look at like their furniture. I'll zoom into like the lamps because that's what like turns me on to Beverly Hills is just like the look of it all and the culture of it all. And just like what their houses look like. It's so insane, right, John? Yes, yes, it's very good. And who else?
Starting point is 00:39:40 You know what else I think is interesting? Salt Lake City, because with Salt Lake City, I'm also baffled over like how they live there in the freezing cold and like, there's like no trees anywhere. I'm also baffled by that as well with Salt Lake. I recently started watching the new New York. And let me tell you, I know,
Starting point is 00:40:04 and I still love all the old school New York girls, like all of the originals. But I do like the new, I do love the new season. I do love the new girls. I think it's refreshing. I think it's like, the stakes aren't so crazy when it comes to hurting people and the drama. And it really is a refreshing show to watch a bunch of girls
Starting point is 00:40:27 that are socialites in New York City without them digging in the deep, dark drama. I actually really enjoy that show. Nice. What's your favorite show other than Jersey? Mine's Jersey for sure, but Beverly Hills. I love Kyle. Yeah, Kyle's awesome.
Starting point is 00:40:44 She's awesome. She's a fun girl. She's so much fun Yeah seeing you guys on the vacation Beverly Hills like they taste not the really well Oh, yes, not the housewife the girls trip the girls trip girls trip girls trip. Yes. It was so nice seeing you guys bond With all she was she was my roomie. You know what I liked the best part of that show? What? Was when Melissa put that Instagram post of them all doing that TikTok.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Oh my God. And they were all dancing. They looked like tails from the crib. That was insane. Thanks a lot, Joe. Now you looked good, but everybody else said, you can't make that shit up. That was amazing. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:41:28 That goes in the record books. It was kind of funny. It was funny. Did you see everything? Just go back and watch it. You see, no, this is funny. Come on. It was just like we all, TikTok was like, I feel like everybody was like, what are we
Starting point is 00:41:39 doing? I'm like, come on, just move your body. Yes. Oh my God. That was amazing. Oh my God, so funny. Well, Lucia, I'm so happy to talk to you. Lucia, are you Italian?
Starting point is 00:41:49 I wish I was Italian. I wish, I swear in my past life I was Italian because I love making meatballs, but I'm Mexican. Oh, what a name, Lucia. I told you I was like, Lucia, Lucia, Italian. Joe's trying to change you into an Italian, Lu Italian. I like to be Mexican. I want to be Mexican because I want to eat the taco. I love tacos.
Starting point is 00:42:10 I can eat tacos every day. I make pretty good tacos, but you guys have the best food, the mozzarella. See that? She's Italian. She's been on the phone with us for three minutes. She's already Italian. When you're in Chicago, everybody's Italian in Chicago. I love Chicago. Oh my gosh. Lucia, thank you so much for calling in. I love to
Starting point is 00:42:29 hear from you. And if I'm ever out there in Chicago for Envy, you better come see me. I for sure will. I love you guys. Thank you. We love you back. Thanks for calling. Thank you. Ciao. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no Ciao! Oh my god, this is crazy. I'm good. How are you guys? We're good. Where are you calling from? What's your name? My name is Tatiana and I'm
Starting point is 00:45:23 calling from North Carolina. You're in where? North Carolina? Yes. Nice. We love North Carolina. I love it. We have some friends that have a house out on Lake, is it Lake Norman or Normandy?
Starting point is 00:45:34 Does that make sense? Like Lenore? Is it Lake Lenore, babe? I'm not sure. I'm from New York, but I'm here. Oh, okay. Because we just had somebody out. We like saying, y'all.
Starting point is 00:45:43 Because everyone says, y'all out of North Carolina, right? She's from New York. She don't say that. Oh, okay. Because we just had somebody out. We like saying y'all. Because everyone says y'all out in North Carolina, right? She's from New York. She don't say that. Oh, yeah. I say y'all a lot now. Oh, you do? How long have you been living in North Carolina? It's been 10 years now.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Oh, shit. Oh, yeah. So now y'all. You're a real Carolinian now. Yeah, now you're done. Now it's y'all. Instead of you guys, now it's y'all. Instead of yous, it's y'all.
Starting point is 00:46:03 Literally. What's your question? Okay, my question is for Melissa because I watch the podcast, well, I listen to the podcast often and I know you're usually running off to take little Joey or Dino to practice. I just want to know how do you or how did you manage that? When they were smaller, I have smaller kids, they're eight and seven, and I want to get into being one of those moms. I'm having a hard time getting in the swing of that.
Starting point is 00:46:36 No, I totally get it. Listen, I still struggle. As you can see, sometimes I jump off the podcast because I have a crazy busy day and there's only so much that I can fit in a day. And obviously I do have help, right? I have an assistant that helps me with things, but I am a very hands-on mom. So if I have to jump off something early or whatever I have to do, I try to make it all work.
Starting point is 00:47:00 So it's like, if I do drive my kids to school early in the morning, if it's a day that I have to be at Bravo early or at the NBC building or I have to film early, those are the days that I'll have someone help me out, right? And bring them for me. And it's also different with like, if you're kids, how old your kids are, right? So if they're like younger, my kids are now getting older, so they're a lot more self-sufficient. So I'm okay, like asking for a ride from what, I always had help here, but I just recently, right now we're like in between.
Starting point is 00:47:30 So it is, it's not easy. And I realize it's not something that everyone can do, but what you do is utilize your time in the middle of the day, if your kids are in school or they do go to school, use the time like in the middle of the day to try to get done everything you can possibly do. And listen, it never gets fully easy for a mom, right? Because we're home and we're hustling.
Starting point is 00:47:52 And if you can put any weight on the dad, definitely do it. I try to put weight on Joe and I'm like, listen, they're both of our children. You have to go to work, I have to go to work. So let's figure this out. Like you do today, I'll do tomorrow or whatever it is. And I don't know your exact situation, but it is not easy. If you're asking me personally, I do juggle a lot. Obviously I wear a lot of hats and I try to make it work.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Without mom guilt, of course we all get mom guilt, right? And I get mom guilt. And I do notice that for a while I was having my kids getting, they were getting a ride to school in the morning because I got very busy in the mornings with envy. But I stopped doing that and I started driving them myself every morning to school. And you know what? That 20 minutes that were in the car together, I enjoy so much and I'm so happy that I took that back because I always took them when they were young. And then there was a couple of years in between that I just got so crazy and I'm so happy that I took that back. Because I always took them when they were young.
Starting point is 00:48:46 And then there was a couple years in between that I just got so crazy that I just set it up where they would get a ride and had my help, helping me with it. And now I'm back to bringing them again and I am so happy. We have the funniest talks in the morning. We really do. And they make me laugh. They do. They make me laugh all morning long. But you know what?
Starting point is 00:49:06 I think it's one of those things you have to assess the situation, see what it is you want to do, where can you pull your time. It's hard. It's such like an individualized thing. But I feel like car rides, guys, this is just like a shout out to car rides. It is one of the best times to catch up with your kids because they're really not on their phone. They're paying attention There's nowhere for them to run away. They can't go upstairs They can't they literally are stuck with you in the car for 20 minutes And if you have you know, if you guys have like the 9 10 11 12 up to 13 for it You know what? I mean by the fact that like the conversations get smaller and smaller
Starting point is 00:49:45 as they get older. How old are your kids Tatiana? Mine are, they're still little, they're still seven and eight. Seven and eight. Well they're getting there, they're getting to that point like they're still, they'll still hang with her right now and talk to her but Joey up until he was like, I would say once they turned 12 and like 13 they start start to like not be I don't know, they start to change a little bit and just get more mature where like, you know, the conversations go down a little but you have a good age of kids where you can if you want to get out there and work a little bit more and start doing some things, you know, they're not babies, right?
Starting point is 00:50:21 So they are a little bit more self sufficient. And it's hard. I feel like it's such an individualized thing to try to figure out wait till they get older The rides are gonna be insane. They don't gotta be you're gonna turn right into a taxi taxi on it over there, North Carolina But can I give you a little advice a little advice if them as they're at that age as a parent The most that you can do with whatever they do whatever sport they play whatever activity they get You're the mom and you can be in the classroom if there's a day that you can go to the classroom or if you have kids that Girls that cheerlead kids that play football
Starting point is 00:51:00 Anything that you can possibly get due to snack stand, your children really appreciate that. They see that. The time that I spent with my kids coaching them when I had no time in the world to do, I stopped whatever I had to do to coach them, was the best times of my life. And I bonded with my children. So that is one of the things that you have to put aside and try to be that because that time period goes so fast So so fast you're gonna blink your eyes ten years go by and they're gonna be adults and they don't even want to hang out We anymore, which is pretty crazy. So no really so, you know, I know everybody bitches. Oh my god
Starting point is 00:51:39 I got to do this they want me to but it's the best best time ever It really is that was a great question Tatiana. Thank you so much. I'm so glad we got to talk to you and Hopefully, you know we say back here in New York or out there in North Carolina, but good luck to you You have amazing kids that age so just spend time with them and but but you know, don't forget about yourself You always have to like worry about yourself, too I always say that to all the moms if there's something that you want to do You know you can you find the time and figure it out because I don't want you to ever live with regrets either I say that to all my moms like the mom being a mom is the most important thing
Starting point is 00:52:17 But if there's something that truly completes you that you really want to do I always say go for it and just you know try try to make it happen. I know it's not easy. And one last thing the most important thing the most the best thing about kids is making them. Oh God. Jesus you know you know Joe wasn't gonna let you hang out hanging up without one of those. Yeah.
