She tells it like it is, and she's back on the show this week. Starting point is 00:00:00 You know, I don't stick my heels in as much, but like, listen, am I going to give it back? Absolutely. What's up guys? Welcome to another episode of On Display with Melissa Gorga. I hope you guys had an amazing Thanksgiving. I know I did. I ate too much. And I feel like I just need to go to the gym. But shout out to my sister for making such an amazing Thanksgiving. It was like the
Starting point is 00:00:33 best food we ever had. But I'm really super excited about this episode we are having today because I have one of my favorites on one of my girls. You guys know her from the Real Housewives of New Jersey. She loves to soiree. I have Miss Margaret Joseph's here today. I'm so happy to be back with you with my BFF Melissa Gorga. So good to see you. And you know, we're back together. I know. How was your Thanksgiving?
Starting point is 00:01:02 It was fabulous. Very low key, which made me happy because I was like, my son had a party the night before, 60 people. So actually on Thanksgiving, it was like very mellow, which was good. Not a ton of people. I had my family, which isn't as huge. And I always need a good glamour gaze. So we had Mark McNamara here. You know him. I love him. Him and his aunt.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Really? Oh my God. That's so funny. I love him so much. He's so sweet. Isn't he the best? So we had him over, which was so good. And we just had a really nice night. Ate too much. You know the way it is. I stuffed myself. Oh my God. And it was really nice. That's awesome. I like that. Wait, your son had a party at your house or at his? No, at my house, 60 people the night before. So I was like, this is insane. And at like 1.30, I was like, this is longer than your bar mitzvah.
Starting point is 00:01:54 We're going on the six hour mark. Everyone's got to go home because I'm having people over tomorrow. Was it like a rager? It was a rager. Yeah, parties are always a rager. So it was like a major rager, but I was like, I'm going to die. And also, you know, I had my face done. I've had a laser. I just really was fresh out of the house. I'm still pink. I know I'm noticing you. You're, you're a very light pink right now, guys. If you could see a little piglet, like a little tiny,
Starting point is 00:02:20 little cute piglet that with your bun on your head. Yes. Yes. Yes. Wait, so tell everybody what you got done. I got a deep CO2 laser from my amazing Dr. Karolak. The same thing that Tamara did when she was doing it all over every day, chronicling it when she looked like an, you know, what is that? She just looked crazy. She looks crazy. She was showing us every, that was the same thing you did? I did the same thing, which I will put up my before and afters, my pictures. I look crazy, but literally it's been a little over two weeks. I think my skin's really good though. Do you think my skin's good? Yes. I think that once you do that... Guys, Margaret texts me photos of her skin the first and second day and I was cringing. I was so, tell the truth, is it very painful?
Starting point is 00:03:05 It's not painful. It looks more painful than it is. It's not painful. You just look crazy. You're not going to leave the house. I thought after a week I'd be okay. I've been sequestered for two weeks. I finally left the house after two weeks. I haven't really been wearing makeup, but I feel at first I was like, I'll never do this again. But now I'm like, oh, my skin is so glowing. I feel like, you know, very baby-like. So I probably would do it again. It's good to maintain the facelift. It gets rid of fine lines.
Starting point is 00:03:33 It builds collagen, elastin. It tightens things up again. So I'm pretty happy with it. Right. So do they recommend doing that once a year or like- No, no, no. Once every few years. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:44 That's what I thought because it's so deep, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It really takes the five layers of skin. Wow. I mean, it is tempting. It is tempting. It is. You just can't go anywhere for a good two weeks. And then you could put makeup on, but it looks more painful than it is. Wow. And you know what, guys? We're having Dr. Karolak who did Margaret's face and he did your facelift, right? My facelift. Oh my God. He does everything for me. He does my Botox. He does my, he did
Starting point is 00:04:09 my facelift. He did my eyes. He did Dolores. He did Dolores and he Marge senior. That's right. I forgot he did Marge senior too. My sister would love to go to him. So I just connected his eyes. He did see Joe's going to need to him. So I just connected. He did Joe Benigno, his eyes. He did. See Joe's gonna need that eventually. And Pauly Connell. And Pauly, that's right. He does everybody basically, but he is so talented guys. He's amazing. And I'm very excited because he, this month is coming on display to tell us all the ins
Starting point is 00:04:40 and outs, the secrets. He's going to tell us how early you should start getting things done. A lot of women want to do their eyes. They want to do their eyelids. They want to know how soon when is it time to do it? When is it not time? So Dr. Karelak is coming on display and I cannot wait. He's going to give you guys all the juice later on this month. So that'll be an awesome episode.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Yeah, so this really is my first debut. I was out this weekend. And then there's the first time I'm on camera with my with my new baby face, my pink little face. Yeah, your this really is my first debut. I was out this weekend and then this is the first time I'm on camera with my new baby face, my pink little face. Your skin looks good. It does. I think when you see me in real life, you're going to be really happy. Oh my God. Don't make me feel like I need to do this. I'm not going to have it. No, no, no, no. You're not going to, not yet. I mean, I want to do it if it's going to take five layers off and make my skin look like a baby's ass. No, I know it is. It is super smooth and there's really, you can't see the pores.
Starting point is 00:05:29 It's good. It is great. I'm very, very happy. At first you freak out, but then you're really happy. But I'm all good. I'm all good with it. So it's been great. I feel like if you can get through that first week, then you're in the clear.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Just a torturous week. Exactly. It's not easy being us. You know what I'm saying? I mean, it's not. It's unbearable. Constantly. I see you have little Edie on your lap. I do.
Starting point is 00:05:55 I have Edie, the new puppy. She's amazing. You're going to love her. She's a great family member. She's really cute. I know you love both of them. Listen, Bella Bella was the best and this is her little sister. This looks like a baby. Is this a baby? It is. She's a baby. She's only five months old now.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Okay. Bella looks older to me a little bit. Yeah. Bella, listen, Bella was older. She was a rescue. She was also a purebred. This, I rescued her. Edie is adopted. She didn't make it in the show ring. Her hair was too thick. She couldn't be a show dog. Said no one ever, her hair is too thick. She couldn't make it. She has a slight overbite. Though I think her teeth are stunning.
Starting point is 00:06:35 They look like veneers as far as I'm concerned. They're very straight for a dog. No, and Joe and I just are obsessed with her. Joe walks around with her constantly. She's really cute. And you know, that's not even ever like my favorite breed of dog. I've always said that because all my girlfriends have them Yorkies, by the way. They all do. That one's really cute. I know. This one is cute and she's not really a barker or anything like that. And no, she's sweet and she sleeps in the bed with me and Joe right between us. And Joe's literally obsessed
Starting point is 00:07:03 there. I mean, she's a cock block. I'm not gonna lie. You know, oh my god, good for you. My god, you still want sex all the time. My listen, Joe, and I'm into you know, I'm into him. You know what I mean? I don't know why I like it like he does smell good. He's very clean. Joe. He showers like three times said that about my husband the other day. Your husband's very clean. Also, he
Starting point is 00:07:23 smells so good. That's like one of my favorite things about Joe is he's so clean. Like he never has even like, you know, he doesn't even get like sweaty smell nothing. I said that the other day, I'm like, he just smells good all the time. What's interesting about them that they, I guess, cause they do work,
Starting point is 00:07:38 like they shower a lot. You know what I mean? Yeah, maybe that's why. I don't know. He's just, I literally just said said like I'm addicted to Joe smell. It's my favorite show. And that's a big part of attraction. The smell it is I read about that. And that is so me like I even sniff my kids when they were babies. I sniff their
Starting point is 00:07:56 necks like when I like I like smell. I do too. I love I love smell. I mean, I'm exactly the same way there. There is something with the pheromones I go absolutely crazy. All right, listen, before I got on this podcast, I'm on Instagram waiting for you. Right? Yes. It's like everything Margaret Joseph's in Dorinda Margaret Joseph's in Dorinda Mart and I'm like, Oh my god, what a perfect day to have Margaret on display. Yes, I what is going on? Are you fighting with
Starting point is 00:08:26 Dorinda? Now first I want to tell everybody out there, Margaret and I normally I would call Margaret's phone this morning and I would ask her what is going on. But I was so excited that she just happened to be coming on the podcast that we're going to have our girl talk right now for you guys live. I haven't asked her about this yet. Justice. No, you're absolutely right. It's very funny because people are sending to me on morning. It's on TikTok. Now this happened weeks ago. Dorinda and I were on tour. We're having a great tour, blonde ambition tour. Everything's great. And it was not canceled because we're in a fight. It's very bizarre. Our last date in New York City
Starting point is 00:09:02 was canceled, which was I think supposed to be tomorrow, actually. And we were very busy. We did Harrisburg, we did Philly, we did Boston, and then we went on Jeff Lewis. And did we bicker a little? Yes. And they showed the behind the scenes of her and I going, don't talk for me, don't talk for me. And everyone's like, that's why it's canceled.
Starting point is 00:09:26 They were arguing, that's not why it was canceled. There was a conflict of two things. First of all, virtual reality wound up doing their event that night. So we're like, we were thinking of rescheduling. And then there was like some management decisions that they couldn't do it. You know, it was just and then everything wasn't coming together. And then we're like, you know what, let's just bag it. So they refunded the tickets. But yes, did we bicker on Jeff Lewis? Absolutely. But it's like normal girlfriend bickering.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Her and I could bicker nonstop, you know, we're both strong personalities. But it was very funny because everyone's like, they had a fight. Um, and yeah, we did we did bicker. I'm not gonna lie, we bicker but it was not in bicker at all, like over the shows, like there was nothing I feel like I know you better than that. No, we didn't bicker over the show. That is true. We did not bicker at the show over the show. The show was busy. Philly boys, everything was it was great. We're very, very funny, but we're both super opinionated.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Right. I will say something funny. The one thing we did bicker on air about, which was kind of funny. I said, Martha Stewart had numerous affairs and Dorinda said she did it. And I'm like, she did. And that was fun.
Starting point is 00:10:39 We disagree about nonsense. You know, it's not a big deal. We're good friends. And yeah, but I want to be right and she wants to be right. And that's, but that's like normal girlfriend bullshit. We're not canceling a tour over that. So you've canceled how many shows? One. Just one? Yeah, New York, which kind of stinks during the holidays, but you know, hopefully we'll see what happens, you know, we'll reschedule. But then I was like, forget, and the truth is I'm not really,
Starting point is 00:11:04 I'm just coming out of my pinkness anyway. But wait, so what happened at Jeff Lewis that you didn't get along? Oh, it's all over the internet. It's all over the internet. Tell us, tell us. It was the behind the scenes. You can see that- So he didn't air it on his show. He did. Well, he airs the behind the scenes on YouTube. Okay, got it. And he had asked about the host, who you know very well, Peter Panos.
Starting point is 00:11:33 And it was just a little confusing because she brought up Dave Quinn about being the host and it was misconstrued. And I said, well, he's not the host. Peter Panos is the host. She said, you said Peter's too quiet. I said, well, you screamed at him. That's all on here, by the way. You guys were having a little quarrel about the people that were hosting. I said, you screamed at him. She goes, I didn't scream at him. Don't speak for me. I said, well, then you don't speak for me. You know, then we got figuring.
Starting point is 00:12:07 And it's all like, but that's not a big deal. That's not, you know, that's not why we're not doing it. You know, I don't stick my heels in as much, but like, listen, am I gonna give it back? Absolutely. And it was just funny because they showed the break and you know, she got annoyed. She said, I spoke for her.
Starting point is 00:12:24 I thought she spoke for me. I got but it was it wasn't that deep I mean we've spoken since you know what I mean we've texted since and have spoken since so it wasn't to me it was like not a big deal but it was very funny because Jeff like the next day made the little cat noises and you know and it was that we were having a cat fight and people picked up on it and they thought, you know, it was rough. I know Jeff Lewis, he was loving this. He was loving this. He must have been like, this is so fun. Oh, my god, it was it. Listen, it was funny because it was live on air. That was the whole thing. You know, it was live radio. You know, it's
Starting point is 00:13:01 typical. It's typical to people disagree. But you know, it's not that deep. But listen, the fans, they get into something, they see it and they're like, you know, ready to pounce. I get a big kick at it, but truthfully, it's fine. And you've spoken to her since. You guys are cool. Are Dorinda and Margaret okay? Yes, Dorinda and Margaret are fine. It's absolutely fine. She's been up in the Berkshires. She's celebrating up there. It's, you know, the holidays. She hasn't been back in the city yet. She was there for Thanksgiving. Two strong blondes. That's what happens. It's just strong-minded.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Listen, we're both very opinionated. Well, I love both of you, so I'm glad. Has this happened to you before when people have made a tiff between you and someone else bigger than it actually is? Like do you see what the press does? Yes, they do. They do that a lot. Um, no, I don't think with another housewife it's ever happened. I mean, on our show, um, it's happened, but no, I'm always, you know, always our show.
Starting point is 00:13:58 There's always something going on. Oh yeah, for sure. I just, I just feel like it's like, if you go on Instagram right now, so many people are gonna be like, oh my God, Margaret and Dorinda, they're not speaking and this happened in their cancer. And meanwhile, you guys are fine. You had a conversation, you had a little disagreement. She even told Jeff Lewis the next day
Starting point is 00:14:16 and said that she loves me, we're fine. One of those things, this isn't true. Yeah, I just think it was a lot going on. You know what I mean? It was bad timing and we're just like, it's not happening. I was like, it was a discussion and we're like, it's fine. Okay. Well, good because I love you both so I'm glad you guys are okay. Yes, yes. Everything was fine, but I love the entertaining factor of it. Listen, I'm not going to say I don't get a kick out of it. Starting point is 00:18:06 background camera thing he does. Oh, I love it. You got to be so careful. I mean, you know, he's gotten a lot of people in trouble. I mean, I remember Sy D'Silva, he got her in trouble. She said something about her casting Rebecca Minkoff, called her warming that one time. I know, I saw that. And I remember doing his show maybe like a month ago and the publicist looking at me, our publicist from Bravo, and she's like, please do not speak during commercials. Just don't talk. I know. You have to be super, super careful with that. You have to be careful. You have to be so careful, which is so funny.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I know, which is nuts. The green room camera is also dangerous. It's just dangerous. Yeah. You have to be very careful. Everything you say. Um, you know, I'm going to joke. Are you watching the other franchises right now? Yes. Let's like, so I binge watched salt Lake recently. I love salt Lake. By the way, I love salt Lake and I love that Bronwyn. Amazing. She's great. Yes. And I feel like for a newbie they they came in strong. What about the other newbie hat? What do you feel about her? Brittany? Listen, she's good. She's good TV. She's good. You know, her
Starting point is 00:19:12 relationship with that Jared Osmond very odd, but she's good TV. I you know, she's good enough. I think the whole cast is great. They really have such a great cast. I can't believe how they transition from different little argument to different little arguments. And I'm like, wow, wow, wow, there's just a lot going on over there. There really is. It's actually great. And I enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:19:36 You're great. I love them. I think they're a great cast. I think last week, the Mary conversation was super hard. Oh my God. Wow. Those conversations, I always loved Mary. Jo's favorite Salt Lake City person is Mary all along because as far as we're concerned, she's TV Gold. That conversation with her son was painful to watch.
Starting point is 00:20:03 My heart broke for both of them, right? And I was like, that's hard. That's just- Oh my God. Having a son that I- Margaret, and you know, I wouldn't even know. And the fact that she put it out there and shared that with everyone was very brave. And it was crazy. Like I really, my heart hurt watching that scene and I wanted to help too. I was like, Oh my gosh, like, I don't know. I hope she gives us an update soon on how he's doing. Cause I'm actually, yeah, I'm listening. I'm praying that, you know, for both of them that, you know, they, he gets the help and that he, you know, is in recovery and all of those
Starting point is 00:20:37 things. And, you know, cause that was filmed a while ago. So I hope everything's good for them. Um, also are you watching New York? I am. I'm watching New York. I've watched the two episodes of Beverly Hills. I know for New York, Erin's pregnant, right? Yes, Erin's pregnant. You know what I'm happy about?
Starting point is 00:20:56 And I've seen them getting a lot of accolades about this new generation of housewives with these hard conversations. You saw, which I love that they're not being met with resistance because it shows everybody's evolved. They had that conversation about abortion, that she had an abortion, Jenna had an abortion, that they had those conversations is very brave and that they weren't met with negativity
Starting point is 00:21:23 and that everybody was empathetic and related to those conversations. That was a big deal. No, I do think it's a big deal. I think that people are just more open to it now. I don't know because I feel like people- Yeah. I think it's their cast and I think it's of the time because I think, you know, there have been hard conversations on Housewives before. I'm going to just say, I'll give an example, even on our show. When I spoke about years ago, when I wrote my book and thank God you defended me, I spoke about my sexual harassment and all of those things, how I slept with my boss, how it was during
Starting point is 00:22:04 a different time, how it was an imbalance of power, how I slept with my boss, how it was during a different time, how it was an imbalance of power, how I felt I had no choice, it was very rough. And I was met with resistance, slut shaming, being attacked, being told by your sister-in-law that that would never happen to her, she wouldn't tolerate that, and Jennifer saying, call me a slut like mother like Joe.
Starting point is 00:22:25 You did not get embraced with that story. You put a very difficult story out there. No empathy. And that was a hard conversation. And I'm glad that nowadays, on different casts, that people are empathetic that it's moved on. It was made a story or a fodder where now it's like hard conversations are met with like empathy and people could relate and people can understand and, you know, it brings awareness as opposed to things like that. You know, it's hard. Even when Braunwyn said that the other Braunwyn on OC said she was an alcoholic, they mocked her. A lot of cast members embrace her. Tamra embraced her, felt bad for her, but she was like, I'm an alcoholic.
Starting point is 00:23:13 That's a hard thing to say, right? A thousand percent, but you're right. It's funny how sometimes people get embraced with certain conversations and other people get... They get hammered on for it actually. Like. And I think I'm grateful that like times are changing and maybe it's the climate, but I'm grateful that these girls,
Starting point is 00:23:36 you know, could have these conversations and that, you know, at least they're getting the accolades and the recognition and it's not negative story and that they're being supported and that there are around women that support them. And I think that's very important. And I'm grateful that you supported me and that, listen, even at the time Jackie Goldschneider, I'll give it to her.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Our girls were very supportive of us. Why do you think that is? Why do you think people are embracing them now? I think it takes time. I think people think it's a story. I think it's the people we surround ourselves with. I think they have a very supportive friend group who are forward thinking. I think some people on our show aren't forward thinking or understanding or can relate.
Starting point is 00:24:30 And I think, you know, and I think that's what it is. And I think people look to attack and I think, you know, now so much has changed in the world. And I'm happy that, you know, that these women can feel vulnerable and not worry about or maybe they did. I'm sure they did worry. I'm not saying they didn't worry, but that they could feel comfortable and that I'm glad that they are accepted and that they don't have to deal with the negativity.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Right. That was just, I'm going to be honest, that was rough. You know what I mean? That was rough. You know what I mean? That was rough. Oh, for sure. I remember the whole thing and I was mortified over how the reaction was to you. I was actually, to be honest, I was actually shocked. To this day, it's actually a little shocking, but that just shows me the kind of people that we're around and it's unfortunate sometimes.
Starting point is 00:25:27 But they have a great cast. So I think like, listen, they're having those hard conversations and they are raw and vulnerable, which is good. I mean, I'm enjoying the show and I'm surprised that more people aren't enjoying New York. I know they got a lot of heat for that. I guess the fake pregnancy thing with Rebecca, everyone felt very scared. I saw the internet blow up the next day after that episode that they were just, they will not really give these girls a chance.
Starting point is 00:26:00 I feel horrible. I do. And you could tell Andy loves them. Right? Yes, of course. Of course. But he, but he always in his defense, he always loves New York. He always puts the New York cast. Yes, yes, yes. Yes. Because he's a New Yorker. Yeah. No, I'm surprised like more, you know, more people aren't tuning in because I'll say don't sleep on New York. It's still entertaining. It's fun, right? It's just different. It's about business women and their, you know, their young families and it's different, but I do think they're all great and have something to offer too. I think they're
Starting point is 00:26:34 all in their own lane. It's not just all about, hey, we're going to go to a restaurant and we're going to start arguing at the restaurant. They're really showing us their lives. So I do appreciate that too. I do. I think they're doing wonderful. No, restaurant. They're really showing us their lives. So I do appreciate that too. I do, I think they're doing a wonderful job. Beverly Hills, I love it. Oh, dying, that's my show. I mean, that has always been my show. So like that's the one that I watch live.
Starting point is 00:26:57 So now I get when we have like all the viewerships and stuff like your three days, like I catch up on Salt Lake, I catch up on New York, I catch up on everything, I catch up on Salt Lake, I catch up on New York, I catch up on everything I catch up on OC Beverly Hills. I'm sitting there waiting for 8pm for the clock to turn eight. It's just my personal favorite. I love it. And I, I relate to them. I don't know what it is. I just really enjoy it. You love this bozma because I love her. Who? Bozma St. John. Yes. How do you say is it Boz or Bozma? Her full name is Bozma, but they call her Boz. Yeah, I love her. I think she was an
Starting point is 00:27:31 amazing pick. And she's quite she was very successful, like very successful woman. Marge senior used to work with her PepsiCo. Oh, really? Marge senior knows her Marge senior used to talk about her all the time. How fabulous she was. She loved her. She was unbelievable. Oh my God, that's so funny. Leave it to Marge senior. She knows everyone. It's Marge senior to know her. I know about Bosma from way before this and she was always a powerhouse. I think she's unbelievable. You know what I get jealous of Margaret that Beverly Hills always gets an amazing
Starting point is 00:28:06 Newbie like the newbies come in hot and like they can get a new one once a year And it would also make me nervous for my job if I was in Beverly Hills Kyle still on you know there's other Erica all these people are still on they always get someone great No, they get some great, and get a new opener. That opener was gorgeous. I, their openers are gorgeous. Even the editing, the way they, I have to say, I was very impressed because I watched a lot of salt lake last night. I was catching up.
Starting point is 00:28:34 I was very impressed with even salt lakes editing the way they zoomed into the houses and zoomed out. It was, it was very good. Look at us. We're just sitting here like, wah, wah, wah. I know. Are we doing a little complaining? Are we doing a little complaining?
Starting point is 00:28:47 Well, I just feel like they get all these new openers and everything else and- Why are we the redheads? Are we bitterbetties? Why? Why? What do you think is going to happen with our show? Let me just ask you because all the fans ask me, are they asking you everywhere you go, every minute?
Starting point is 00:29:03 Oh, everywhere I go. Oh my God. You know what I think you God. I'm just going to say this. Wherever we go, they're like, Marge, I hope you come back, or I want you to be with Melissa, or I want you girls, or I'll be so sad if you're not on screen. And I'm like, yeah, I know. I don't know what's going to happen. They might reboot it.
Starting point is 00:29:18 They might keep some people. We don't know. We literally have no idea. And every day, I change my mind. You know what I mean? I have no idea what's going to happen change my mind. You know what I mean? I have no idea what's gonna happen. But like if someone, if Goldman Sachs was revamping
Starting point is 00:29:32 or they were bought out by somebody else or whatever is happening, a big financial institution, I don't think if I saw people at Goldman Sachs, I'd say, I really hope you don't lose your job. You know what I mean? It's a little weird. You know, it's like a weird feeling that everybody is weighing in on your career. Everyone, everybody, including all my really close friends.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Every time I told them what's going on at the housewives, everyone, my girlfriend, my cousins, I'm like, don't ask me this shit. You think they'll be working next year? I'm like, uh, you know, I do have a business, you know, let's not be in a panic. Don't you feel that way? Everyone's like, do you could you imagine me calling up my friend, you know, works at Goldman Sachs, you know, her there's a new CEO, fire, you know, as you're on your way out,
Starting point is 00:30:15 cars are on your way out. Loser, you know, if you look at it that way, it's kind of messed up, right? It's like, street everybody knows about my job. Hey, Marge, hope I see you still on hope you still employed. You know, it's just very, I'm like, I have a business. I don't even know what to say anymore to all like, so I was just at envy, right? Because we were just there for the tree lighting over in Huntington. Every single person that was like, we hope you stay. We hope
Starting point is 00:30:42 you have that job. We hope you stay. We want to see you next year. Are we gonna see you again? I'm like, oh my god. I mean, I know I mean, it's just absolutely I mean, it's very well, by the way It is so kind and so sweet. But sometimes I'm like You know, I I'd rather they do say that they don't say but I'm just like, it is a job. Don't worry people. We're always going to work. We're always going to work. We got to figure this out. You'll still see us work. I'm not dying. Thank God. Or anything like that. When do you think they're going to tell us? What do you think? I guess after the holidays. I mean, they don't want to ruin Christmas.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Right. Why? Stop saying that, Marjorie? You got to think positive. This podcast is sponsored by Liquid IV. Did you get nervous with Vanderpump rules? So like they're revamping. I kind of was like, Whoa, they just wipe a whole show out. I will read that. I was like, did you talk to Lala?
Starting point is 00:34:07 I feel like after I wanted to reach out to her. I did. I just said to her like what happened, you know, and she just basically said she kind of knew. They had a heads up that that was going to happen and that they were going to. They'll never be another. That's like that was magic.
Starting point is 00:34:23 It was magic. That cast together was magic. That's something you can't duplicate. So whatever it is, there'll be a new era. It'll be something different. But, you know, it's sad. But everything comes to an end, right, Melissa? Everything comes to an end and then there's new beginnings. You know, this isn't going to go on. You know, nothing goes on forever. You and I, you know, will not be, you know, collecting social security doing this. That's not happening. I work so much. Sometimes I forget that I'm even on the TV show. Like everything else I do is like connects me with people all day long with between envy and this podcast and just like Instagram and my brand partnerships and all these things. I'm like, I forget sometimes
Starting point is 00:35:02 that I even, I like the show is minuscule. Yeah. Same thing with me. It's like, I'm worried about decorating for the holiday. I'm like, I forget sometimes that I even, I like the show is minuscule. Yeah, same thing with me. It's like, I'm worried about decorating for the holiday. I'm doing, you know, my business, the candy couture, where I'm trying to, you know, hustle my ass for soiree. I'm doing a new pen, I'm doing this, you know, and I'm doing all these other things.
Starting point is 00:35:17 And then it's like, oh yeah, we, you know, we have the show. It's like, it's a reminder, but we haven't filmed for a while. So it's like, it's in my distant thought right now. It is. Also, did you see that they're already picking up filming for OC? So I'm like, wow, that was like a quick turn. I don't know if it's a room number.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Oh, are they? Are they picking up? I don't know. I saw that on, you know, you can only believe all the blogs. I don't know. But I heard somebody saying like, oh, they're going to start filming again. And I'm like, wow, they're really going to, if they do, when they do start filming us again, like it's going to be a minute since people saw our houses, our kids, our home.
Starting point is 00:35:51 No, I mean, we're going to be looking different shit. I know. Thank God I got the reefer. I mean, listen, we don't know who it's going to be. You know what I mean? We don't know what's going to be with the show. We have no idea what's going to happen. Whatever it is, you know, that's meant for the universe. I'm a big believer in whatever's meant to be.
Starting point is 00:36:10 That is true. I really am too. I agree. I feel like life goes on either way. Yes, it's great. Yes, but I do think about the fact that I've been doing the show for 14 years. I'm like, how long do you stay on the same show? It's a long time. It's true. But I look at like SVU has, you know, they've had so many episodes and all that craziness. Right. We're talking about health, just totally sidebar. Did you ever do Pronovo? No. Is that where they scan your whole body? By the way, I just did that. The only reason I'm thinking of it because I did my results
Starting point is 00:36:42 this morning. Okay. I need to do this. It is unbelievable the things you find out. Can you please text me the info? I'm going to text you the info. The only reason I'm bringing this up on the podcast for everybody, and obviously this is not paid, whatever it is, if you could afford it, they do different body parts. It's so interesting.
Starting point is 00:37:01 It tells you if you're going to get cancer, I think years in advance, it could- What? I think I'll have a heart attack. It's like going to a two- No, meaning it just gives you an update, whatever they do, your brain, everything else. It could tell where you have filler, which I think is absolutely hysterical. Come on. I only have it in my temples because I had peanut head, but it was very, very funny, the things that they saw. I am very healthy. Thank God. Thank God. They said I have no arthritis. Yes, I have no arthritis. And they said, the guy said
Starting point is 00:37:33 to me, the doctor who they put you with after they read everything, they saw my brain, certain things like when I was born, certain arteries formed differently, but they could see everything. It's actually super, super interesting. Wow. So you basically go in and it's a scan of your whole body? Yeah. You sleep. I fell asleep. You're like in there for an hour, but they could see every single thing like your thyroid. They saw a cyst on my cervix. Wow. Which is- So you have nothing, you're in the clear? Literally, it was actually shocking
Starting point is 00:38:08 and I was really happy and he was like, "'Listen, you're like one of the healthiest 57-year-olds I've ever seen.' So I was like, "'Wow, I hope I, you know.'" So it was really good, but he said, "'You can see that you don't drink.'" You know, just a lot of- Oh, that's true.
Starting point is 00:38:21 You never have alcohol in your system either. Like that alone keeps you young. But this is the second part I want to say. I wrote everything that I take. I am on thyroid medicine since menopause. GLP-1, right? I take the SEMA Glutide. We had deep discussion about it because a lot of people bitch about it. He said it's like a miracle drug. I said I do take a microd dose now to maintain my weight. He said it is reducing the chance of stroke, heart attack, heart disease. He said that he thinks they should put it in the water.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Wait, really? He said it's unbelievable because it evens out your insulin levels. He said it reduces the chance of dementia. Wow. He said- So why did I just read the other day? It reduces the chance of dementia. Wow. He's saying- So why did I just read the other day? Maybe that is what I read with dementia, something with dementia and ozempic. Maybe it does help.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Yeah, it reduces the chance of getting it. I think insulin levels really affect your health a lot. And I think because insulin levels being very even, which like these GLP ones, the semaglutide, which I take is the generic of like ozempic or whatever it is, the mangiurus, the wagovis, all these things really affect your life for the much better, meaning with the heart disease that lowers your cholesterol, it does all these things. It's really has turned out to be a miracle drug. Wow. It slows down cognitive decline, apparently. Which is a very big deal. And Joe, the crazy thing is Joe Benigno, I had him on it for a little while, but he had one bad a diarrhea. I mean, literally one bad a diarrhea, the
Starting point is 00:39:56 guy's like, I'm not doing it. The guy can't take one fucking episode of diarrhea. I live for a diarrhea moment. No one feels better after diarrhea. You want to get it out. Yeah. I feel so good. And this guy, one bad a diarrhea, I want to get it out. Yeah. I feel so good. And this guy, one better diarrhea, I'm never taking it again. I was like, Joe, you're insane. Wow.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Wait. So I did read one negative thing though. I heard it causes anxiety. Is that true? I don't know. I don't have any anxiety. You never heard anything like that? No.
Starting point is 00:40:19 I mean, maybe. I don't know. I never had anxiety from it, but I think it's like a miracle drug and I'm not even here to push it. Again, I don't get paid for this stuff, but I'm just saying for health purposes, because I feel like as we get older, the most important thing is health because so many people, money cannot buy you into health. I don't give a shit what anyone says. It could get you better medical care sometimes. But
Starting point is 00:40:45 if you don't have your health, you really have nothing. Agreed. Agreed. Well, can you please send me the info? I want to go do that whole thing. And I'm gonna drag Joe with me. He needs to come. Yeah, it's like literally, I was so relieved and happy. I was like, wow, this is like a miracle. If you don't have claustrophobia, right? I don't love it, but I'll get through it for an hour. To me it was so easy. You could watch Netflix, they put on the glasses.
Starting point is 00:41:09 Oh, well that's good. Then that's easy. Yeah, it's so easy and it's really, I feel like it gives you a real peace of mind. Have you gone for a colonoscopy? No I have not. I haven't. They've lowered the age. They've lowered the age.
Starting point is 00:41:23 To what? I think they're gonna lower the originally 45 but I have a dear friend now who's 38 who was just diagnosed with colon cancer. Oh, she had eight. Yes, she had blood a little bit of blood in her stool, always a stomach ache always something her doctor was like, Oh, you're fine. You have IBS. She felt differently. She went, she woke up out of her colonoscopy. This is absolutely insane. And she woke up and they go, as soon as she woke up, they said to her, I hate to tell you this. I don't even need to wait for the biopsy. You have colon cancer. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:41:59 I'm like, I'm doing my health tour today because I just saw so many crazy things lately. No it's crazy. I think it's the food we eat, honestly. That's what's causing everything. But this is why we need to move to Italy, Margaret, and eat our food. I know. I think we might have to. I don't think it's a bad idea.
Starting point is 00:42:16 We really got to pack our suitcases and get out. We really do. Okay. Well, just jumping back for a minute because there was a couple more questions I wanted to ask you about housewives stuff. First of all, did you see, um, the Andy Cohen, the watch what happens live with all the Miami girls just like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. While we're down, like, yeah, I just, I just, you wear the worst dressed, which some of
Starting point is 00:42:39 us on the cast are by the way. Yeah. There's three on our cast that are the worst dress. So I'll almost accept that. They're definitely not speaking about me. Thank you very much. And don't speak about me. Yes. No, but for real, like, we'll take us while we're down and we're not even there.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Yeah. And like, let us be there defend ourselves at least. You know what I'm saying? You could say a lot about the jerseys. Some of us might dress shitty. I'll give you that. Some of us, not all of us. Some of us are hot fucking messes. Girls, we got the best fucking ratings across the board. We do. What you want about the Jersey girls don't you know what I mean? Up until now, say what you want. But you know what we I believe in 2024 we are and I'm not exactly sure but I know we were definitely one of the highest rated premieres. We were on a Sunday in the dead of fucking summer. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Two years, that's what. And I'm talking about like live ratings, like one day live ratings. Yeah, live ratings. Yeah, we were at eight something. Beverly Hills just came very close at seven something, but we were still at eight. This is live, that's live ratings, which you listen, was lower than we normally are, but I was looking at- Well, everyone's down.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Everyone's lower. Dead of summer on a Sunday. On a Sunday. Who's home on a Sunday night in the summer? Yep, and we had an eight in the number. It was 800,000 something, I don't even know, which is pretty damn good. So hate on us all you want.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Hate on us all you want. Everything bad about us, we still, we reign supreme. Yes, exactly. Exactly. All right. Well, before I let you go, talk to me about what you're doing for the holidays this year. What are you doing? Oh my God. This year for the holidays. Well, I'm very excited. Well, I'm doing a big, I've been decorating and my landscape architect doesn't want me to call him out. So I'll call him out on Instagram He yells me because he doesn't decorate for just everybody the outside the house, but I forced him into it I'm doing a big shoot with home worthy, which I'm very excited about. Oh, that's awesome. It's coming out. Yes
Starting point is 00:44:36 They're doing a whole holiday decor thing with me. Oh, I love that. I'm doing that. So I'm actually I've been decorating my trees like crazy I'm doing a lot of things in the house. I'm doing that. So I'm actually, I've been decorating my trees like crazy. I'm doing a lot of things in the house. I'm doing a big holiday shoot with them, which is fun because I like, you know, listen, my house is old. You know, I love a house with character. I would never, you know what I'm saying? You have the most beautiful house. Your husband built it for you. The new construction, magnificent. I have a thing for old houses, old men, old houses. I like them old and crazy. You like to put work into it. I like to put work into it. That's what I said to Joe always. So, I like a vintagey vibe, whatever it is. So, I'm doing that big holiday shoot. That's what I'm doing for the holidays here. I'll probably
Starting point is 00:45:23 do my Christmas party on Christmas day. Last year I had over 100 people, which was a little stressful for me. That's a lot of people on Christmas day. It was. I had the DJ. It went till three in the morning. Joe said he does not want to do it as big this year, so I think I'm going to cut back because I had a lot of parties this year. We had Cinco de Psycho at my house, which was crazy. Yes, that was so fun. The premiere.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Most people do Christmas Eve is like the late Christmas party. I know, Christmas Eve. But all my friends are Jewish, so everybody needs a place to go where they have to go eat Chinese food, so they want to come to my house. So I'll probably be doing that, but I think a little bit on a smaller scale. And that's really it. I don't travel during the holidays. We have a lot.
Starting point is 00:46:02 I'm going to see your sister on December 13th. I know. Atlantic City, guys, if you I know Atlantic City guys, if you're around. Yes. It's which one is it? It's the my big Italian Christmas, my big Italian Christmas. Christmas. We have Kim Perella. So good. December 13th. You know, she's not. Melissa's not the only Gorgas that sings. No, Kim sings really well actually. Not the only Marco sister that sings. Yes, they put on a really great show down in Atlantic City. You guys can check out her Instagram, Kim Perella, and she posts where you can get tickets to that. But it's such a fun show in Atlantic City. Go to see her. So I feel like I'm doing a lot of that stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:41 I'm trying to lay low. I got to do my shopping. I'm doing events. Oh, by the way, when is, when is this podcast coming out? Thursday. Oh, Thursday. All right, fine. It's going to come out after the fact.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Thursday, I'm hosting the FIT Gala. Oh my God. I love that. Because I'm an FIT alumni. So it's for the alumni. I'm hosting that, which is really nice. I love it. But when this is airing, I am host
Starting point is 00:47:05 And then um I've just an I'm doing a charity event it'll be would have alrea um for breast cancer. I j on the charity circuit, yo doing stuff. Um we're alw never stop. We have a lot How's Suarez Suarez isiree is going well. It's going to be dry January. Dry January will be the big push.
Starting point is 00:47:30 This is stressful. Having a new business is stressful. I'm not going to lie. It is. It's a lot of work and you do it hands-on. We put a lot of time into our businesses. I mean, listen, you see, I drive this. Lexi and I do deliveries ourselves. It's a little crazy. Sometimes I'm like, what the fuck am I doing? I know, I love to watch Lexi in that truck driving. It's like driving Miss Daisy. It's so funny. Lexi's in England by the time this day
Starting point is 00:47:53 or she'll just be getting back, but Lexi going away for a week is to me is like torture. It's human torture. You're just like- By the way, her not being here, me waking up and Lexi not being at the house is like, I'm like lost. Wait, and I went on your Instagram earlier and Joe was putting up wallpaper or taking down wallpaper.
Starting point is 00:48:09 No, no, no. We put closet doors up. I made him build closet doors. Originally, I had this built-in closet and it looked like very cool in my office. I was like, oh, leave the, I don't need doors there. It looks so beautiful, but it was always messy. So I was like, you know, I have a shoot going on here. I need closet doors. You have to build like a wall, build closet doors. I want it to look seamless. You have to put wallpaper. So the poor guy's been building
Starting point is 00:48:32 closet doors, putting up the wallpaper on it. I have made him absolutely, he's about to throttle me. I mean, he's about to- He's so good to you, Margaret. He does whatever you say. I know, but you know what? I think he, I said to him, I go, I think it's begrudgingly. I think you're, I think you're over me. He's like, I'm not, I'm not, but I think he might. I know. But you know what I think he begrudge I said to my girl I think it's begrudgingly I think you're I think you're over me. He's like I'm not I'm not but I think he might I'm thinking well don't push him too far. Hello you can't have another divorce. No never no one never gonna get
Starting point is 00:48:53 divorced but he might bury me in the backyard. Oh my god he's like sick of your shit. He's like listen the house is what it is. I mean I think he's sick of my shit. I always want something this I want to do this I'm like you know he, like I said, with the landscape art check, buying like the six foot, you know, wreaths for the front of the house. And I'm annoying. I'm not going to lie. Since I met you, you have been doing something to the house. Like you've been doing something. You want to change something.
Starting point is 00:49:18 I always want to change something. I want to do this. I want to do that. You know, but when you have a very old house, like an old person, you always have to make it. Yeah, but your house has so much character. I do love it. It's perfect for you. It's perfect for me. It's perfect for me. It is. It just is. It is. It's a perfect house. But anyway, thank you so much for coming on today. I love that we covered so many things. I love that we could catch up together live because I would say I didn't want to call you this morning. I'm like, nope, I'm going to my god. I know you wanted to catch me live with the gossip. I know. And I love the little health detour you put us on
Starting point is 00:49:50 today. Like we all need to listen to you for that. No, it's true. By the way, it is all true because you know, as we get older and even like things are happening to us younger, we got it. We got to take care of ourselves. Yes. And I'm glad you cleared the Dorinda. Thank you. Love you and little Edie girl and little baby Edie. Yes, and I will see you soon. Text me the info so I can scan my body. I'll text you right away. Okay. Love you.
