Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Melissa Gorga on display with me, Melissa Gorga on podcast one. Ep bums on the G with the OGs. Ep bums no slack. Ep bums on the D&O me. I love it. Hi everybody. Welcome to another episode of on display. Super excited to talk to you guys today. I had like a very crazy week. As you guys know, we filmed the reunion and you know how that goes. I can't even tell you guys, we started hair and makeup, six o'clock in the morning, like 6am.
Starting point is 00:00:48 So my alarm went off at like 5.30. It like starts with the COVID test and then hair and makeup has to get the COVID test and they finally that the glam team into your room, it's like six o'clock in the morning. When I kid you not, we got off the couch with Andy at 10.35pm. Grooving is like an understatement. Like, those days, like, trust me, we work for our money. I don't know how else to explain it,
Starting point is 00:01:14 other than like, we work for our money those days. It's like, it's insane. Like, literally, could you imagine going through every single scene that everyone watch and having a discussion about every single scene that everyone watched and having a discussion about every single scene, every single argument, all the personal stories. Then they brought the husbands out and other surprise guests came out that I'm not going to say.
Starting point is 00:01:36 So it was, it was crazy. I wish I could tell you guys more, but you know how Bravo is, you know, they, they don't like to tell too much. I will say that I think everyone looked absolutely gorgeous. Like, we looked beautiful. The set, wait till you see the set, I think the set was like probably one of our best sets we've ever had. When it comes to like detail, I'll give you guys a little hints. The set kind of goes off of somewhere that we went. Okay, so I'll give you that hint without getting in trouble.
Starting point is 00:02:07 But it was a pretty amazing set. My dress this year was from Bronx and Bonko. Oh my God, guys, wait till you see it. It's like so good. I'll just, it's just I'll use the word metallic. It was so, so good. And it was just crazy. I'm gonna, I'm gonna be honest,
Starting point is 00:02:24 there was, there was so, so good. And it was just crazy. I'm gonna be honest, there was, there was fighting, there was yelling, there were laughs, there was crying. It was just, it was brutal. I'm not even gonna lie. It's actually my, one of my worst days. I will always say that. Like, when I know it's time to do the reunion,
Starting point is 00:02:40 it's just, I don't really look forward to them. I think I, it's not where I shine. I don't shine on like a long stretch. Like I can't, it's just too long to focus. I feel like my resting bitch face sets in. I just start staring at the ceiling. Like it's just, oh, it's too long of a day for me. But I will say, I feel like this reunion is definitely going to be three parts. So but I will say I feel like this reunion is definitely going to be three parts. So buckle up everyone for that because it's going to be a crazy reunion. Moving on, I'm going to talk to you about another housewife friend of mine today that I am so excited to have on the podcast. I know you guys are going to be super excited to hear from her as well.
Starting point is 00:03:21 She's not only a reality TV star. She's my ultimate girls trip cast mate. She's an entrepreneur and she has a new cabaret tour starting April 16th. It's the one and only Countess Luan Deliceps. Hi. How was that? I miss you. That was perfect. You said my name perfectly. You know, with Deliceps, people try to break it up and they're like, just kind of to let it roll off. Deliceps. You did it perfectly. Deliceps. Deliceps. Deliceps. Deliceps. Of course you did because you know me. So it's like, we're like family now since the ultimate girls trip, right? Well, you know, that's how it goes. I feel like when you go on vacation with someone,
Starting point is 00:04:03 that's when like the real bond is made, right? Even like couples, if you went on vacation with couples or girlfriends, it's like the second you spend that night and day waking up together having coffee together going to sleep together. Yeah, you just become it's like you're close or instantly, right? Isn't that just how it goes? Like, well, definitely you and Kyle because you guys, you know, we're sharing the same room. I know, I know, you know, I always say if they do like a part two of this with the same group, like I think that you should all say give Melissa the best room and even Ramona needs to like take a seat because I literally stayed in the like the, the closet. I think I slept in the closet and you were such a good sport.
Starting point is 00:04:41 That's what I love about you. You know, because I'm Because I'm usually like you. I always get the worst room. Because I don't care. You know what I mean? I'm like, there's not a bad room in the house. But in this house, I must say that wasn't the best room. And neither have been a lot of rooms on our trips.
Starting point is 00:04:58 You know, like Cartagena, I didn't have the best room. And, you know, I always, but I don't care about those things. I care more about, you know, you're not really in your room that much because we're filming all the times. Yeah and we we live in beautiful homes. We have beautiful things but I you know my biggest thing with that room was like there was no like balcony or like when I was like so jealous when I looked at all your rooms. I'm like, wait a second, you can sit outside on a balcony. But listen to this, the best part is I went back there a couple weeks ago with my friends and we rented the house and I think I stayed in your room, the room that you stayed in.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Oh, you're kidding. Oh my gosh. Yes, amazing. That's so fun. I wish I knew. I would have joined you. I know. Well, I saw Michael, cute little Michael.
Starting point is 00:05:44 I saw him there too. He came in DJed for us one night. It was fun. Oh, what fun. What fun. Yeah. Anyway, you know, listen,
Starting point is 00:05:52 that remote is outside. I always get I get the basement, which she calls the lower level. Yeah, but you're you're very similar to me in that aspect where I think you're just pretty cool. You're pretty chill.
Starting point is 00:06:02 You go with the flow cool. I'm like all uncle. Exactly. The best line on Bravo, if you ask me. That is like my ultimate favorite line of all like the, you know, the lines. That's the one for me. That was the best thing ever.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Oh, really? That's so funny. Oh, come on. That's so awesome. You can use that in like so many different scenarios and situations. Like I just, I don't know, I love that. I got a picture from a girlfriend of mine
Starting point is 00:06:28 who went to a baby shower and she got the mother to be, got a little stuffed animal and the stuffed animal was wearing a t-shirt that said be cool. Don't be like all uncool. I mean, there's all kinds of swag all over the place with that saying on it. I mean, I love all kinds of swag all over the place with that saying on it. I mean, I love it. I know Andy Cohen loved that too. Like that was like a thing. Oh, if we could go back to that real housewives of New York era, what was like, I just, oh
Starting point is 00:06:54 my God, you guys had a couple years where it was explosive. It was really crazy and intense and just so good. I mean, and it's about the real hospitalized of New York, how are you feeling about this old news they put out in the switch up? Are you insulted, Byard? Are you excited for the new show that they might put together? Like, what are your real feelings on this? Being a housewife, listen, I get it and I know that it could sometimes be a little hit if they don't pick you for certain things or use you for certain things.
Starting point is 00:07:24 So how do you feel? Right. Well, you know, my first reaction was, you know, I wasn't expecting that. You know what I mean? It was like, came out of left field for me. Um, and, but you know, I understand why they were doing it. I think that, you know, it's very hard to put, you know, women into a group of friends where they really don't belong. Do you know what I mean? You guys are all related, you have your families. In New York it's more about friendships
Starting point is 00:07:50 and not about family. Cause we're New Yorkers and we're business women and we do fashion, we do. Anyway, so I think that it's harder to find people that are willing to do the show that fit with our group. So I think that that's a hard position to fill for the network. And I think it's a great idea for them to bring back OGs.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I think people really want to see the OGs. I have a list that, a laundry list of some of them I'd like to see come back. And I think it's cool to do another spin off, which is the younger, more diverse side of New York. I mean, listen, I've been doing this, this is gonna be season 14 for me. I've been doing for a long time. So, I'm really, I'm there,
Starting point is 00:08:41 if they're gonna cast me on that show, it'll be fun to do and do with all the OGs. I know, I don't want to be with a group of women that I can't relate to. So, so, and the other thing is, you know, I've got my cabaret career, which is awesome, and I'm going on tour, and so I get to focus on that right now, and you know, other projects that I'm doing, like my day, my non-alcoholic sparkling, which I love, that you, I think, tasted when we were in Terriksen-Cakehouse, which is, yeah, which I got distribution on. So I'm working with Beth Mac,
Starting point is 00:09:11 so I'm really excited about that. And so I got a lot of great projects going on, and, you know, and Housewives will always be a part of me. And, you know, and if it, you know, if it works, I think it's gonna work really well to have an OG. Why do you think they came up with the idea, by the way, Melissa, it's based really on the success of our trip.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Of the housewives trip, of that ultimate girls trip, you're saying. They want to see the OGs together. You know what I mean? Right, right. It was special, it was special. It was very special. And you know, I wrote a song about it.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Did you hear the song? Have bombs on the G with the OGs? Yes, I die. Wait, first of all, just and you know, I even wrote a song about it. Did you hear the song? Have bombs on the G with the OGs? Yes, I die. Wait, first of all, just so you know, we're gonna get into all of the Luhan stuff. I wanna talk about your cabaret. I wanna talk about all your music. Like, we're gonna hit all of these things
Starting point is 00:09:55 because I just think you're so great at like reinventing yourself and like figuring things out and using your platform for better things, which is the entrepreneur in you, to be honest, that I think people might not know about you because they do know this about you, but you really do have a great business brain. And I feel like even since I've met you years ago, it was always like a little bit of a business talk whenever I saw you. I know one time we had like a little power women business lunch at Michaels that one time with Bonnie Fuller.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Right? We did that one time. So yeah, we're going to get into all of that. But I do agree with you when it comes to like the ultimate girls trip, I think put a really good taste in their mouth about what it's like to see kind of the OGs together and the power that that has. And I think especially when it comes to New York, because you ladies are like to see kind of the OGs together and the power that that has. And I think especially when it comes to New York, because you ladies are such a,
Starting point is 00:10:50 I do think it's probably one of the hardest besides Jersey because you're trying to cast family. To cast because now say they do what the rumor is saying, which is they wanna go super young, right? They wanna go 30 year olds and bring in like, you know, young kids and this and that, which I don't know is true, but this is a rumor, right? How are they going to mesh that life with what you guys have going on? It's not going to make sense. Like you're going to have nothing in common with these 32 year olds with young kids. You
Starting point is 00:11:17 guys are going to be like, listen, been there, done that. Kids are older. I don't want to see a diaper for the rest of my life. And you you're gonna have not too much in common, right? So there is some sense to what they're saying is like, let's take our OGs, let's do something special with them. And if we're gonna have to recast, because with you guys, you can't mix Ramona in with this new, say she's a 35 year old,
Starting point is 00:11:43 little publicist, you know, with little kids and a public like you were Mona's just gonna like go crazy. I can't even she doesn't mesh well right with like. I've got great eyes on them but you know great so great example I think for them was this real housewives ultimate girls trip and it felt like the old days of housewives do you know what I mean there was just enough drama? It was really more about women relating to each other. Having fun, good old fun. It felt like the housewives of the old days. And that's why I think that this idea came about
Starting point is 00:12:18 was really that people really loved that show. And it was very successful for them. Sorry, I think that they're using that as a model and now they're even doing you know spin-off with you know Dorenda and Jules Aaron and that whole crowd you know in the Berkshire's. So you know I think that you know they're going to start keep doing more of these trips and I think it's going to be more common place that you're going to see a mix of the franchise and you know you have to evolve you know listen life is about evolution and growth and you know you just can't mix of the franchise. And you have to evolve. Listen, life is about evolution and growth. And you just can't keep doing the same old, same old, same old.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I mean, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But I think that has a life expectancy. And look, I agree. God is Jersey and there's a family and all that. But who knows what happens at the end of the day? you know, you just never know from year to year, you know, what's going to happen. And so I think I think it's a smart move on, on Brevus burg. People don't always realize that physical symptoms, like headaches, teeth grinding, and even digestive issues can be indicators of stress.
Starting point is 00:13:25 And let's not forget about sleeping too little, sleeping too much, under eating and overeating. Stress shows up in all kinds of ways. In a world that's telling you to do more, sleep less and grind all the time, here's a reminder to take care of yourself, do less and maybe try some therapy. Well, good. I'm glad that that's the way I know that I heard something that you were on. Watch what happens live the night before and Andy hadn't said anything to you. You had no idea that that was going to anyone give you any type of like clues or like.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Well, no, I just said to Andy in between you and I said to Andy, I said, you know, what is going on? And he said, let's talk tomorrow, right? Oh, okay. He hadn't, we literally had a call step for the next day and then the news broke. And he goes, well, that was quick. So, we talked, I talked about it who I'd like to see back, you know, because I've been around for a long time. So I'd like to be able to weigh in.
Starting point is 00:16:20 And, you know, and so I'm excited about bringing back the old gals. I mean, for me, it feels like that trip to Marrakech. You know, when I was with Kelly Benzimone and Jill and Giverimona, you know, I think it has to be like that, that kind of crew and, you know, and so let's see who they pick me. Is it the end of the day? You know, it's speculation for the moment.
Starting point is 00:16:46 I agree. How I mean, how is your relationship right now with Ramona? Have you spoken to her? And how is she taking this news? You know, she, she's actually, I think the last time I spoke to her, she was in Palm Beach going to Aspen and I think she's back. I think she's not getting work now, but she's been glow-draughting and just traveling and taking just traveling and taking advantage of the hiatus that we've had and just doing her thing. And so she is surprised and shocked, I think. We were quite all stories. So we're in the holding pattern right now. I know. I know. And I laugh because Ramona is literally in a different part of the world. If it's not Palm Beach, like it's Aspen, it's Palm Beach. She's here.
Starting point is 00:17:33 I'm like, oh my god, this woman, she just lives her life on a plane. I mean, good for her. She's like all over the place everywhere. She just makes me laugh. I mean, watching the dynamic between you and Ramona live. Yeah. Wow. Like, that was very telling for me of like, that you're, and we're never going to use the word
Starting point is 00:17:54 pushover because I don't like when people use that about me either, but how much you can truly like handle from her and like us seeing it live that it was like, I never really realized what your relationship was like with her. You give her a lot of passes. She says things she apologizes. You forgive her. Yeah, I know. In time, I don't, you know, I don't take her that seriously, you know what I mean? I'm so used to it. Exactly. The Ramona antics that I just, you know, I just, you know, I don't even go there. Do you guys still talk a lot now, like since the girls trip? Have you, do you guys hang or talk or not so much?
Starting point is 00:18:29 No, I saw her when I was in Florida. We had lunch actually with a couple of girlfriends while I was there. And I haven't, you know, I spoke to her after her curse news broke. And then, you know, so we call each other once in a while. So we keep in touch, but, you know, she's traveling all the time.
Starting point is 00:18:45 So I'm in New York rehearsing for my cabaret right now. So I know let's talk about the cabaret for a second. First of all, wait, tell me about the song that you made regarding the ultimate girl's trip. Sing a little, give me something. Well, I know you love to sing. It's called F-bombs on the G with the OGs. That bomb's no slack.
Starting point is 00:19:03 F-bombs on the Diann OGs. That Bob's no slack. That Bob, it's, do you know me? I love it. So good. It's so, it's so, I can't believe you haven't heard it. It's on iTunes. I, I think I've heard it like on, you might attack. I forget, I've heard it somewhere like on the internet. I was like, wait, is this about us?
Starting point is 00:19:21 This is so good. Remind people, throwback from the trip. Yes. I love how you take stuff that's going on in real time, or like on the show, and you literally just write a song about it. And I think it's fine. You make it fun. I mean, what is the music for you?
Starting point is 00:19:37 Is it something that you take super seriously, or is it just fun for you? Is it? What do you feel with it all? You know, for me, it's like writing it, how do you call it? It's like writing, you know, poetry for me. It's like, you know, the music comes to me
Starting point is 00:19:57 through the inspiration of the women and you know, what we're up to. And, you know, like, feeling Giovanni and chic, salabee, women and you know what we're up to and you know like feelin Giovanni and chic say la V and you know and the girl code, you know and what else did I do oh my god I got so many yeah a lot of songs how many songs do you have I have like six now I the Christmas song what do I want for Christmas just you I love that song and song, what do I want for Christmas just you? I love that song. And what else? Oh, Viva LaDiva, you know, because there's a diva deep in all of us, you know, it's about that inner diva. So all the music, I'm really, you know, I'm inspired to write it. I, you know, I love lyrics. I love, I love working with producers in the studio and, you know, making
Starting point is 00:20:41 something to call my own. And, you know, I just have a good time with that. I don't take it seriously. I'm not out there trying to win a grand tour. I know this, I know, but you make it fun. And look, not for nothing, but you have turned it into a money maker with your Cabaret show because, I mean, you don't sing those songs at your Cabaret show or do you? You know, for example, like I'm seeing various songs that resonate with me.
Starting point is 00:21:10 This show that I'm doing now is an all new show. I did a Christmas show most recently at 54 Below and then I did a couple of tour dates because that's when the Omnichrom thing came back. So I got away with 14 shows for the holidays, which was brilliant because a lot of people did not. And so this is an all-in-show. It is music that I love. I've coursing some of my classics. I change it up and I put it with other tunes that you'll be like, oh my God,
Starting point is 00:21:39 that she's mixing chic, salivate with that stuff. So I kind of mix it up. And of course, I do a Q&A with the audience, which everybody loves, and I have video packages, and all new music, and all new antidotes, in terms of stories. I'll talk a little bit about the Ultimate Girls trip.
Starting point is 00:22:01 And it's just a fun show, and you have to come into the show and New York, Melissa, because I'm doing like 68s, 54 below. So you'll have to come. Okay. When is that? What date is that one in New York? I'm doing. I started in the Richfield Playhouse on April 16th and then the 17 to the 30th dates I'm at 54 below New York. Then I'm actually doing Toronto in Montreal, the beginning of June, June, 3rd and 4th, I'll be in Toronto in Montreal. And then I'll be in LA, the end of June 23rd to the 26th at the El Rey Theater, the epic El Rey Theater.
Starting point is 00:22:37 So, you know, all the theaters I'm at are amazing and epic. And I have a director who's the director of the chin-width and bar-restriation. So I'm working with the best in the business and I know I'm super excited. You're big time, Luann. This is like big time. I love it. It's it's it's it's it's almost like a variety show also with everything you do with it.
Starting point is 00:22:59 It's like they're getting a yeah, but I've changed now. It's on me because I you know I had some guests before, and with traveling and all of this, that becomes very costly. So I've decided when I have a guest, a lot of people are on their phones, or they're like talking, when I leave the stage, people start not paying attention. So I decided, you know what?
Starting point is 00:23:18 I'm gonna stay on the stage the whole time. And of course I go off for costume changes, because it's like part fashion show, part cabaret, part know, of course, I go off for cost and changes because it's like part fashion show, you know, part cabaret, part storytelling, part, you're living room, you're basically in my living room. Sit down, enjoy yourselves, have a drink, and for the right, you know, so it's a lot of fun. And doing a lot more pop songs and pop culture stops,
Starting point is 00:23:39 though, it's really cool. And I'm having a great time heading to rehearsal right after this. I love that. People are coming to see you. You are packing the house in so many different cities. So I I'm super and listen, let me just tell you this. Part of this ultimate girl's tripping me and Kyle walked around the whole time. The whole we couldn't stop. We were like money came by you. We didn't stop singing it the whole. It's so catchy. We literally didn't stop. And then when you came out and kind of perform for all of us with the fireworks,
Starting point is 00:24:11 it's just so fun. It really is. It's so fun. And I can't stop. Once I start singing that, I can't stop. Yeah, that was fun. I know I would pass by your room. And you know, you didn't know I was like walking by to go to the kitchen. I can hear you guys going, I was so much. I mean, I'm lucky you went back to that house because what a great trip and what a beautiful beautiful place. Oh my God, the ocean. So strong. And it was the same staff, the same kitchen staff. Michael was there. Michael's mother was there cooking in the kitchen. It was great. It was kind of like nostalgic. I was like, Oh my God, I'm back. And I
Starting point is 00:24:47 get to do what I want without cameras watching me like and Joe got to experience it in the spot. So it was actually really cool to go back there. I loved it. I did go back and you know and use that house. Why not? Good. No, it was awesome. I mean, speaking of pop culture, let me ask you this. What did you, I mean, tell me what you're thinking of the Will Smith and Chris Rock situation. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Listen, I mean, I thought, you know, listen, people make mistakes. I mean, he obviously lost his cool and, you know, jumped up and, you know, was defending his wife. I understand that, but he could have jumped up and yelled, you know, don't talk about my wife, you know, that kind of thing without getting aggressive or, you know, getting up on stage,
Starting point is 00:25:34 you know, which, by no means is ever appropriate, right? To get up on stage and, like, attack somebody. So I think, you know, he's, I think I'm sure he's remorseful today, because I think he'd won an Oscar. He was on a high, and then he went out and had a party, and didn't really give it much thought until the next day when the ramifications started to come down on him. And you apologize.
Starting point is 00:26:01 What more can you do? I mean, God knows he should have apologized in the moment, but he did not. So at least he's apologizing and owning it and, you know, I think it's got to be tough for him and Because, you know, he probably watched it back and went, I can't believe I did that. You know what I mean? Because, you know, people kill each other on this, on this kind of, you know, mental, you know, rage, which is, you know what I mean? Because you know people kill each other on this on this kind of you know mental You know rage which is you know They just lose it. They just lose it and just they're not even they can't even believe it even watching themselves back like oh My did I do that sounds for my
Starting point is 00:26:40 You have times when we watch ourselves back and are like oh oh my God, kill me now. Like put me in bed. I know. I know. I bet. I mean, I've done that right where you go, oh, God, say that or do I do that? You know, sure. Plan for taxi. We're not perfect.
Starting point is 00:26:55 We're not perfect. Nobody's perfect. And you know, we made a mistake, you know, and I think it's going to cost them. And I'm sure he regrets it. Starting point is 00:29:26 I think most of the world just is. He's just that known nice guy who is very positive. He's all about the right things in life. He's always, I mean, you know, this is another guy. He's say child stars, but I mean, he came on the scene as a teenager, as a very young kid as well. He's been in this scene for a long time, and it's a lot of pressure. And he, you know, and I don't think, I mean, God, it was not right.
Starting point is 00:29:50 What he did at all, I agree that I feel like he should have just stood up if he needed to get something off his chest and said something. It's almost like a heckler out there, like to a comedian. And then sat back down. I mean, I think the world was in shock. He could have stuck up his middle finger and just sat where he was. And he I think the world was in shock. He could have stuck up his middle finger and just sat where he was. And he could have shunned him off the Italian way. You know, you push your chin a little bit. Yeah, you do one of those things.
Starting point is 00:30:14 What a fangol. Baffongol. You know what I mean? He, I mean, and it was very... You know, I speak Italian fluently, by the the way you speak everything fluently like you're so You're a P in you're the most European friend I have I'll tell you that But yeah, there was definitely it was sad for me to see that and I saw his like meltdown after and I was of course disappointed because I hold him at such a high Standard and I will say that Chris Rock did, you know, he did it.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Yeah, the beautiful. He handled it beautifully. He really did. Well, and I really did. So bad for, you know, the Williams family because, you know, here's the guy that wins the Oscar representing, you know, this family, which is, you know, you know, strike another person, especially on the Oscar stage. I mean, you know, that was not a good looking, it just overshadowed that beautiful wind for him for such, you know, for such an incredible story, you know. Well, I can only assume that he's like, like, he deeply
Starting point is 00:31:19 regrets it right now because it's still from that moment, Do you know what I mean? It's all from his big moment down the Williams family. Choose that's got a way have you on. No, in shock like that. It took me a minute to realize that it was not fake. I was really happening. I was like, oh my god. And then I was with the girlfriend of you. We actually ordered Indian food and we watched the Oscars and I was at my house and and I'm like, all right, go online. I'm sure it's online already. You know what I mean? Because I was like, if it's fake, so ensuring I'm bum,
Starting point is 00:31:52 it was like right up there. And I was like, I think I was stunned as Nicole Kidnan was stunned. Exactly. I saw her face. Her face was like, like this. I mean, she couldn't believe it. Yeah, that was her real ultimate, like her face showed it all
Starting point is 00:32:09 of how everyone at home was probably staring at their TV. My other thing with that, just to wrap that little part up is it does make me a little nervous for comedians in the world as well, because we don't want to show anyone on stage, even yourself, anyone, like, you know, when you walk into a room and there's comedy and, you know, there's, there's always, you almost walk in knowing, well, there's a chance I might get made fun of tonight. Like, you go in there knowing that, especially somewhere like the Grammys or the Oscars.
Starting point is 00:32:39 And I do think whatever, you know, Chris Roxett was probably a little insensitive to what the situation was. Of course. Yeah, Alopecia. So, you know, he didn't really go. So you can't take it so personally either. I mean, Jeff Ross made a great comment, which is like, you know, we can't start slapping comedians. I mean, you know, that's, that's just part of it.
Starting point is 00:32:59 It's like, it's like the roast. You ever see the Jeff Ross roast, you know, it's, you know, it's part of comedy, you know, it is. It is. And look at Joe, Joe's on stage, Joe, Joe's on stage doing this stuff now. He's, and I'm like, well, yes. So that's scary. That's very scary. And I never want that to be out there in the world. Like, oh, if we don't like what someone says, we're just going to go up and, and we're going to hit them. So I think that needs to be addressed as well. Because that's a big, you know, oh, if we don't like what someone says, we're just going to go up and, and we're going to hit them. So I think that needs to be addressed as well. Because that's a big thing. Or vice versa.
Starting point is 00:33:27 You know, vice versa. Imagine Joe, and they something derogatory about you is Joe going to jump down from the stage and start hitting. I hope not. Exactly. Right. I mean, crazy. So sad, sad little story. That was, that was crazy. So I had to get your opinion on that. I mean, listen, one thing I do admire about you is your strength in like, even just on the girl's trip. Okay. Now, we're going to talk about your fake rosé, which we did try it. And it is delicious. It's awesome. It's really, really good. The calorie, really good for me too. So that's the good news, which we can tell, like, look
Starting point is 00:34:02 at you. Your body is amazing. That's another thing I have to throw you a compliment. No, everyone says it like everyone goes crazy after watching you on that trip and I gave you credit and I said she got up every morning. She worked out for a little bit. She gets on that beach early. She moves her body. She does a little like yoga. I mean, I think I'm the only one that went swimming. Yeah, naked half the time, probably naked. But yes, you was so concerned about their hair. Yeah, we all, yeah, because we all need to get blowouts. We don't do our own hair. So we were like, oh my God, no, but, but getting back to the, to the foes day, am I saying it properly? That's an awesome thing too. Like, how is that going for you? And do you run into like a little issue?
Starting point is 00:34:47 I mean, I know that you just had a little incident that you've talked about. I watch what happens live at the piano bar. Yeah, that was a one and done just a one night that kind of went a little wrong or well, you know, the, the, well, you saw me on. So, you know, interestingly enough on the girl. I didn't drink as you know. No, you didn't drink, I foesay. So, and the last season of the housewives, I wasn't drinking. So, you know, my goal is to not drink. And sometimes, because I'm a human, I slip.
Starting point is 00:35:17 And that was a night that I slipped, which I highly regret, because I'm so much happier when I don't drink. So, I'm back on the wagon of sobriety. And I just prefer not to drink. It's just so much better for me. So I'm drinking my foe's a. And I'm so happy that I have something that I could as an
Starting point is 00:35:38 option other than drinking because you know, there's not a lot of healthier that I really like. I mean, I used to drink like kind of can zero, but that's fatting. It still has the same calories as beer. I don't really like beer that much. So, you know, during the pandemic, I was not drinking with my daughter and we couldn't find anything we liked and that's how Flauseb was born. You know, I wanted to make something that was elevated
Starting point is 00:36:04 that had a beautiful bottle, that looked like rosé, that had beautiful ingredients, and that takes a stigma away from not being. So you could put the flosé bottle in with this spring angel and all the other frosés, and you put yourself a glass of people don't know that you're not drinking. Well, a lot of times drinking is social. It's really about this. It's about having a glass in your hand. It's really not about what's in it at the end of the day.
Starting point is 00:36:29 You know, so, so yeah, I, you know, I had a slip, but I'm back and I'm, you know, healthy and I'm, you know, thank God because, you know, I've got a big show coming up and, you know, I never, you know, people are like, isn't cabaret like difficult because it's drinking and go ahead for me, I'm working. Like when I do the house-wise trips, I never, you know, people are like, isn't cabaret like difficult because it's drinking and go out for me. I'm working.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Like when I do the house-wise trips, I'm working. So when I work, that's where I really shine, because I'm busy, I'm creative, I'm doing my thing. You know, it's when I have too much time on my hands that I get into trouble. All right. Well, to be honest, I do admire that about you. When, you know, you do hold yourself accountable.
Starting point is 00:37:05 When you make a mistake, you will say I'm human. I made a mistake, which I love because you don't try to make excuses. You don't beat around the bush. You're like, I'm human. Yeah. I slipped up. Yeah. It was a bad night. And I mean, that's very, I admire that about you. I really do. Who can not understand that and who hasn't had a bad night? You know, I'm a work in progress. You know, I'm not perfect. And, you know, but, you know, like I said, you know, I'm so happy I have the
Starting point is 00:37:33 Fosé as an alternative and, and you know, it's day by day, you know, I'm not perfect and I do the best I can to, to stay on that path because that my ultimate goal is really to not drink. Right. And, you know, it's kind of just sneaks up on you sometimes. You have one and then you don't even realize and then the next one's coming and it just, it sneaks up and some for some people and I think you and I talked about this on the girl's trip. It's like poison. It doesn't come off on a good light for some people. So if I have one or two drinks, I'm happy, I'm good, but like for some people, it's like putting poison in your body. Right. Right. And the other is that, you know, you
Starting point is 00:38:11 stop making good decisions at some point. Exactly. Okay. Well, I'm very happy about that. You know, it's like an allergy, really. You know, would you eat strawberries if you were a highly allergic and your throat was going to close up? No. So, you know, people will look at it that way that, you know, it really is something like an allergy. And so people think, well, why can't you control your drink? You know, that's the point is that, you know, some people have a hard time controlling, you know, how much they drink. And that is the case for me. Sometimes I can, but sometimes I can't. So, I prefer not to drink. But, leave me. I'm much more fun when I don't drink, as you know, because the ultimate girls you are, I had the best time. So you really did. And we were
Starting point is 00:38:55 all drinking like I feel like day and night, we were drinking. And you would hang with us all night. It's not like you called it a night early. It's not like you didn't dance with us or party or hang. I mean, I have to say you were fine the whole time. So you truly don't need it to have a good time. You don't say and I get to be thinner because, you know, I'll call really packs on the pounds. Yes. Now it really does. So listen, you had a slip up. You're saying it was just one night. That was one night. It was one little slip up. It wasn't like a week of you like spiraling out of control. It was a one night thing. One and done. You know, how long have I been doing the show?
Starting point is 00:39:30 Have you ever seen me out of control in the house? Why is only one time mean? I mean, I went into the bush in Mexico. OK, just that one time, maybe. Is that one? Seriously, can you think of any time? That's what I want people to know. What people don't realize
Starting point is 00:39:45 is they've seen me on television for 14 years. There's not one person that would say, oh, go hands it off. I, right. Other people, they might say that about, right? I agree with you. I would, other than my little kerfuffle in Florida. No, but you're really not a sloppy, you're just not a sloppy girl. Period. You're very, you have a lot of class. You know how to hold yourself. You're just not. So I agreed moving on. It was a slip up.
Starting point is 00:40:11 And I love how you're, you're open to talking about it because I think that's what makes you you you're not in like you're just such a real person when it comes to like your struggles and just we all have struggles, right? We all hit, we all have our vices. So, everybody's got, you know, their story and everybody struggling with something. So, I have no difference. Good, good for you.

I'm actually in shock. I am very such a, well, you know, I used to live in Europe, you know, when I was a 20 year old. And so my first, you know, encounter with like, hey, do you want to like have a three? Some I was like, oh, no, I can't possibly. Like, right now I'm feeling like Dorenda, oh no,
Starting point is 00:43:18 I just, I couldn't, you know, Dorenda's like that. She's like a Catholic. I grew up very Catholic and you just, you can only have normal sex. So, but I always regret that I never had this reason when I lived in Milan. There you go. Oh, wow, that's like amazing.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Okay, fair, fair, fair. I love it. Not over yet, though. I was just gonna say, uh, hello, life is not even close to over. Like go, go get your three-some girlfriend. Ha, ha, ha. Okay, life is not even close to over. Like, go, go get your three-some, girlfriend. Okay, what is like the best decision you've ever made? On the best decision I ever made was to move to Europe.
Starting point is 00:43:55 That's when I met the count and had my children. So, a lot of good came from that trip. Of course, 100%. Okay, what's your biggest pet peeve? People who chew gum with their mouth open. The word, oh my God. Don't come to Jersey. Don't come to Jersey then, because we do that a lot.
Starting point is 00:44:15 That is so funny. Your first concert. Frank Zappa. Oh, who's that? I did that song on a magic cup. And right now, you don't know. Oh my god, I should do that. So I'm my camera. Rachel. And there you go. You see people know it though. You see, you don't know you're too young for Frank Zappa. He did. for Frank Zappa. He did my angel is a son of a my blood runs cold. You know that's I'm well that I know I know this one. Yes. The son of a I think that's Frank Zappa.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Oh no, that's Jay Geils. That's Jay Geils. Frank Zappa. Wait, did I get that right? Did I? Did I? What does I just say the first? Oh god. I don't know who you're even talking about. So I have no idea. Oh, that's what I'm saying. Well, it's Jay Giles.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Let's say the jail, sorry. Let's say the Jay Giles band, and he did that song, my angel is a center for my blood runs cold. My angel is a champion. Okay, I love it. That song I love, and I know it. Okay, good. All right, moving on.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Na na na na na na na na na na na na na I know it. Okay, good. All right, moving on. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Okay. Well, I think everybody knows that song. That I love. I love that song. Okay, tell me something about you that would completely surprise us. I mean, I know we know so much,
Starting point is 00:45:37 but give me something that would surprise us. I think people forget the fact that I'm a nurse. So I think people are always surprised by that. I didn't even know that. How about that? No. You're a nurse like an RN or like a... I'm an LPN.
Starting point is 00:45:54 I went to nursing school. Back in the day, there was LPNs kind of fur and then RNs. And so I went to nursing school and I was a geriatric nurse for three years to care of the elderly. Oh, wow, I could totally see you in a cute little nurse's costume. Oh, okay. And no one in there is, I love it.
Starting point is 00:46:16 I'm very nervous. I did not know that, so that's definitely a surprise. What is your favorite late night snack? So like when you're sitting down and you're having a snack, you're watching TV. What are you eating? Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:46:32 Let's see. It ranges from like really healthy like biscotti with like a tea or a biscotti with like tea kind of thing or it depends up in a minute salty so then I'll do popcorn. Got it. Okay. A lot of people say popcorn. Okay. What was your first job you ever had? I was, no, I was babysitting and then I used to wash dishes in the rest of them that I worked at as a nurse.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Wow. Interesting. Pretty cool. Okay. What's your favorite TV show to binge watch? Like what are you watching right now? What do you love to watch? I am watching Shits Creek.
Starting point is 00:47:20 But I just finished yellow stone. I'm in love with Kevin Coston. I mean, talk about elegant, talk about a real movie star. Did you see his speech at the Oscars? Wow. He's a movie star. Wow, it's a, now that's a movie star.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Dress beautifully, so well spoken, he wasn't reading from anything, he had a speech memorized. I mean, I love that. That's somebody who really puts in the work and I mean, I love that. That's somebody who really puts in the work and it shows it really shows. Agreed. He was amazing.
Starting point is 00:47:52 And everyone loves yellow stone. A lot of people say that I need to get into this show because million viewers. Wow. Wow. That's insane. Huge. Huge. Okay. And I always end with, how do you treat yourself? So if the day is about Luan, it's not about anything else. It is just Luan treating
Starting point is 00:48:10 herself. What do you do? You know, I'm a big, you know, spogger. I love to get a massage. I like to jake of bath. I like to listen to my favorite music. I like to eat my favorite, you know, food, you know, It just spoil me, spoil me, spoil me. For me, music is a big part. I always have music playing in the background. My kids are like, Mom, really do. We have to have music constantly. And I put on jazz and words, usually piano music, really sexy kind of, jazzy, like, you know, sultry stuff. I love that kind of stuff. like, you know, sultry stuff. I love that kind of stuff. And, um, and then, you know, just to be able to not go out with the fireplace on, you know, because I got my gas, so I put my fireplace on, especially this winter.
Starting point is 00:48:55 You know, I put my gas on. I cozy on the couch, watch one of my series that I love, eat my favorite things, you know, take a bath, just, you know, get a massage, just, you know, self-care. Perfect, I love it.
