Obviously, Huntsman being one of them. Obviously, this is why Sin is going to get his dope ass, super comfy. The hoodie is insane. I didn't wear it to Paris. And once I got there, I realized that I would die if I wore it. We have a lot to talk about. We have a huntsman update. We have, of course, you know, the Cod Champs recap, which I wish it was a little bit more positive, but it is what it is.

You know how many people. I mean, I don't think is it, is it like no one cares, right? No one's proud of being second, right? Like, it's that. No. Not the players. No, I'm certainly not. I mean, I'm proud of the players, but I'm not, you know, I would have.

No one cares. Like it's not like a like, yeah, at least we came sex. It's like a silver medal. You know what I'm saying? It's just like the first one to, the last one to lose. Confetti's falling on you. Yeah. As you lost.

The worst feeling ever. And there was everybody celebrating. Bro, look, sitting in that dog out and the coaches dog out when they want, I mean, obviously when we saw it in the whole thing and boom, boom, boom. And as they lost, behind us, the face dog out was fucking screaming and celebrating. And then they run out the door. They're making all this fucking noise. and I see myself in there

and I was like, that's how it feels. Because, dude, the greed, the greed, the greed to think that we were, that we could have,

I mean, we could have, really close to could have. No, we really could have. Fuck. There is a timeline in which we went every single tournament

this year because that's how it went. And, oh my God. Oh my God. This year feels like the year of what if kind of. Yeah. I mean,

EWC I'm excited for because we've been in every single grand final so far. So I do think we can end the year with a bang. But champs is champs and that's obviously the one that the team wanted to win and everyone wanted to see. It just was crazy to me is how outslade we were and it really came down to like three round 11s.

Three round 11s that, in my opinion, two of them, we were in winning positions for sure. Damn it, we were. Of course we were, dude. The 4V2 on Den was really bad. God, dude, fundies. Even the raid one, like, obviously the 4V2 on Den was like unacceptable. If we were to watch the Huntsman do that, that would look like a Huntsman, like, lost.

You know what I'm saying? That's how we've seen the Huntsman lose before. And me and Zim, we're also talking, like, earlier in the weekend, like, it's more stressful watching the Huntsman because when we watch the main team play, like, they're so good, you don't really get that kind of stress. And it's just like we watch it happen there, so it's fucked. Speaking of the Husman and S&D,

did you know that we, that's who warmed us up? Oh, they did actually go there and school? Honsman warmed us up, yeah. What else did they do? Siphoned the shit from them? No, I'm just kidding. Space Jam? That's a joke. They took the fucking forward.

It's a joke. He was making it all week. I thought it was funny. No, about that search play. I said they fucking... Specifically. About that one search play, I said they siphon the Huntsman search round. Yeah.

I mean, even like the raid one, we had bomb down B. Trousy's in the water. They're coming down pool steps. Like if Ants first contact there and he gets the first kill, jumps back in the water, jumps in a tiki, like 4 v3, 20 seconds. And then you go up 2-0 in the series. Now it's a whole game of like What Ifs? Butterfly effect is in swing

Like there's so many things dude Because they're full blown tweaking If you get to kill and gets back in the water You can't, there's no way to get him without dying Yeah it's just I mean everything just kind of crumbled like so fast In that round 11 And then obviously the Den one was like a must win In my opinion

Which is why I implore And I ask I came out On the middle of the floor major one I grabbed the microphone and I asked the crowd to please don't help us don't help we don't need help we we we don't need help in S&D like think about how lame and this is for you guys right think about how lame it would have felt to us if there would have been that aster like obviously the crowd's going to do the crowd but we don't want to win

by external like forces or circumstances we want to win on our own so that we can be proud you so that you could be proud of the fact that we won that fair and square. You know what I'm saying? So I am a big, a big, big, big hater of the crowd helping. Like,

almost like irkiness. Just because of that. And look, it came back to bite us in the ass. You think you're helping. You're not in any case in scenario. You're helping us cheat? You're helping us what?

What are you helping us do? Because we don't need that sort of help. The support that you give, you being there and cheering for us when we're doing good. That's it. That's all we need. All the other stuff, unneeded.

And in this case, back to bite us in the ass, unfortunately. Yeah, I've always hated the crowd cheese at the same time. It's kind of just like a necessary. Like it makes, now you have to make plays like this where you're like using the crowd. Look at this shit. It does suck that it happened to us, but that's a really cool play. Like to hear that listen and hear them say they're going to play the crowd and then it works.

Like that is... Yeah, it was like almost like poetic for phase, right? Like even that first blood O4 just got in Shotty spot onto Shotsie. That's how the round starts, you know? Like that's, it's kind of insane. Like, watch it all. First off, I can't believe Mason got away and then watch right here.

Simp obviously is. Simp, he's arguably the greatest now with all the combo around his name, the rings, the his longevity. I think, I think Abuza was just on a whole. How many of the shots you have? Three. So what do you mean he's the greatest? I'm saying, that's the, that's the combo right now.

Simp, Shotsie, scump, crim, that's what everyone's talking about. What I'm saying. The most championships. And also three rings. And also three rings. What I was saying was Abusa to me was like the difference. maker in that grade. That overload he played in that swing map was fucking on a 40 and 20, 45 and 20.

Something silly? Yeah. I too also agree that obviously simp is simp, but that Abuza, I mean, that dude was nasty the entire time. I mean, fucking 04s, fucking like takeover. Like get the fuck out of here, man. Ford N.HP. Best hard point I've seen all year.

And it only won up himself from the Scar H.P. It almost felt like he was the only one like on a good PC. That's how good. it looks. It was like, no, and this is obvious. No, we're talking about that PC shit. We have to. Okay, well, whatever, but I'm not saying that about 04 specifically because he's done that. He's had takeover games where he just is like the best shooter in the game in that, in those very fucking moments. But yeah, I wasn't saying in this particular case, I'm just saying in general. He's just the way he shoot,

the way he kills people so fast. I was talking to JP about that. And we were just like, how do you even, like, how do you watch a map like that back? When someone is doing things like that, going 43 and 17. It's so hard to look at that and be like, oh, we should have done this. Like, well, the guy was popping two every life, through every life. It is what it is.

Sometimes players like that can take over a map and we've seen our boys do it how many times. This last name is Rodriguez. And also the last thing I'll say about the finals too, like I do tip the fuck that phase. Like phase and optic were two of the best respond teams the whole year, but both of them had very shaky as in distance, like just throughout the year.

And then when you get to the final, of course it goes round 11. And it's like they came prepped. They were much better at this event than I think at all the others. Even when they won major two, they kind of dominated us in response as well. But this one, they went all through round 11s.

You just kind of really have to tip that. They definitely put in a lot of work between, you know, these basketball majors in this champs, so I do want to give a problem. I feel like they use champs as like every match they won, they kind of just elevated. Like their pace was improving. They were starting to slay more.

Yeah, their teamwork was on point. They caught fire and they made it happen. It just sucks that we, we were on the receiving end of those round 11s because Yeah, it's a heartbreaker for the boys. I mean, sitting in that, sitting there watching that and just feeling that deflating feeling of like three, like we couldn't get one of them, all three.

Dugs, man. Even last one was like a 5-3 comeback for phase. Like that's hard, dude. That's hard. 5-3 down in Hossi, like our comfort pick basically. And to win around 11, I mean, dude, Jesus Christ. And we have gridlock heart point next, which I'm confident that gridlock hard point

would have looked good for us. Yeah, and then best six. And then it's just like you get to that game nine, now it's a coin flip. Now it's legit heads or tails. Yeah. Like it's, it's, it's, I'm not, that's all timings. Me, man.

Who the fuck knows, man. Congratulations to Phase Vegas, obviously. Shout out my man, Paul. And the players, man, like the coaching staff, Kisan, like all the, all the, Zuma, the entire crew. Celebrate, celebrate. It feels good. It feels good.

But we're going to, we're going to try to do what they did to us two years ago, where we won champs. they went on to win EWC and then they were talking all that shit about the best team in that fucking game in the end of the year it's the bag of see ya

playing like that again I feel like that's got that has to be an anomaly maybe I'm wrong but that has to be an anomaly there's no way thieves you think fell off a cliff like that

in three weeks not thieves not the Eves Scrap was fucking literally dwarfed or nerfed or whatever you want to fucking call it with that PC shit. Let's talk about this PC shit. So obviously Scrap, he's like, he breaks the barrier and he releases this huge post about the inconsistency with the PCs.

And I have to be honest, I completely believe him because, and the one reason that keeps replaying in my head is that Hooke of all players asked for a PC switch after a Map 1, Cod Champs final. If anybody knows Hooke as a player or person, he probably, has the most game time in the league. If it's not him, he's in the convo. For him to be up there after a Map 1 champs win and say, something is wrong, I need a new PC. There's like literally no one I believe more. So, an anecdote there, I was talking to JP because I was backstays with the coaches. Hooke was able to replicate the whatever was making a jitter and have that thing appear, the laggy shit. So he did it, he replicated, he showed the refs, he showed the refs over and

over again that it's happening. So he was able to recreate the thing that was creating the lag so the ref was able to see over and over that that's a problem. Yeah. So that's that in that particular case, that's what happened. And then at the same time, because I was listening on my on the headphones, because in the back, you can hear their comments. Yeah, you can hear their comes. You can't talk to them, but you can hear the comments. And I was like here and then Brandon is like, I need one to. I need one too. This is fucking bar. The same same same shit's happening over here. Look, look, look, look. And then that's when they started. That's why it was such a double swap there. but didn't Brandon's come after like the map four?

Like, Kyler was after Ma'amper 1? But did they make Brandon play on that? Like, was Brandon saying after map 1? Do you remember? Because like if Brandon was saying after Map 1 and they only swapped Kyler's, that's, I mean, that's a bit of an issue. I think they swapped both. I don't remember because I was in, I don't think Bruce asked.

I talked to him about it. I don't think he asked after Map 1 like Kyler did. I don't think he did. Kyler asked for one. I can tell, I can, I'm almost certain that I heard what I heard. And I don't know if they, I'm in a fucking, like, locker room. There's TV, but they're not showing like the onstage stuff.

Either way, so we have scrap, Huck, Dashie, Rencore, Mamba was in my chat last night saying he felt it. It's one of those things where when a player likes Scrap plays like that, granted, everyone has bad series. I don't think he's like this nervous breaker. I don't personally. I know the kid personally, maybe, but I tend to, and I talk to him about it. I'm like, why didn't you ask until after Map 4? And he was like, because we were up 2-0. He goes, even though I was getting shit on, the last thing I wanted to do was throw my team out of flow and cause that delay when we have momentum.

And after Map 4, I just felt like I had no choice. It sucks that we're playing or they are playing in a league where these issues might happen. Like there's definitely no room for like inconsistency. What's wrong with these PCs? Why can't we take the same way that people bring your own PC to Dreamhack? Why don't we bring our own PCs that they use? on a weekly fucking basis to the spot. I mean, there's a lot of issues that, right?

Like, okay, for one- We're paying for it. They're not- The league's not paying for it. I mean, that's just gonna cause extra time of them checking it before every single series, but whatever. It sucks for the league too.

Like, this isn't just on the players, because like, from the league's perspective, they don't want to sell the broadcasts. They don't want players lying when they're having a bad series. So then they have to actually have problems be like how Tyler showed. Like, there has to be serious problems

showing up on the screen for the ref to say, hey, there is something happening. I don't know if the player's lying or not. Because if this was happening all the time and players should say, I need to swap now after every map, then you could just ice the other team. Then there's a whole bunch of other shit. So it's just bad on everyone.

It just sucks that this is a problem to begin with. Because, I mean, like Danny said, this doesn't just happen to scrap. Like, I've been in the T.S. With these players, like, all year. Bro, they've all been saying this shit the whole year. Online matches, online matches. It's just, there's just this inconsistency.

And I don't know if it's just call duty base. I don't know if it's, because we didn't have problems in Halo as well with, the SSDs. I don't know if cod players use SSDs and they bring SSDs and put them in the PCs. The CDL has your account.

Like the CDL swaps the SSDs, yeah. Okay, so it might be an SSD thing because we had a similar issue in Halo, right? Because Spartan the dog got banned because he brought his own because he was obviously... He knew? He knew. He was just like it doesn't feel the same, you know? And it's hard to replicate how it feels at home. It's crazy that CS can do it so well.

Because I don't know how CS doesn't have any issues really. When you watch CS broadcasts, it's only if you know, some weird shit's going on. that they pause the match. Like, it doesn't ever seem like it's like a bullet-reg issue, whether it be hurts. I don't really know the intricacies, and it sucks because it looks bad on the players,

looks bad on the league. Now it looks like scraps of fucking champsbreaker. I do feel for the kid, because I really don't think he's just a random champs breaker. He's too good. Like, when I watch, he was shooting, like, there were some kills where I was like, how was he not getting that kill?

And maybe I'm tripping myself out, but there's no way he's a point sick. Like, he's just not. Minutes 40s is unbelievable for something like that. He's not that. I mean like it happened in Brandon Winners finals last event You guys remember what that look like

Against thieves Winner's finals I go down 02 They get 3 O'd in the series But Brand asked for a PC swap after map 2 He's a point 4 in the series Up to that point Who was sitting in his seat The match before and how did he perform

See that's the thing The only thing I can think of now Is because I know that it's an SSD thing Is if they're swapping SSDs That could feel different from the same PC Putting in a different SSD into that PC Could react completely differently I don't know how any of that shit works

You know? I could be wrong but there was crazy down time between series at the event. I think they were doing a full reset every series. I could be wrong, but I know like the monitors were going blacked out. Oh, and the players were walking on stage?

What? That they reset, that all the, it reset, everything reset to like 60, 60 hertz. 60 hertz. Yeah, so they, everybody had to go in. If they noticed, they had to go in and reset and readjust and redo everything all over again. Yeah, I mean, it's just tough, man.

I just hate that it's even a combo because the last thing you want to do is like you don't want to take away anybody's win anybody's performance we had a same conversation after we won it's like it's just unfortunate that this is what's happening I mean even back on console everyone's like go back to console

it definitely happened less but even back then people were like oh I had the god box or I had a bad box or my P.S whatever was terrible yeah it's happened always I hope they can maybe find some more consistency. I wonder if it's maybe a server thing, because obviously we used to play on land, and now it's kind of like fake land,

where you're all in the same room, but you're playing on a server. I don't know, but it sucks as a player too, because now in the back of your head, if you're not playing well, like you're thinking, oh, maybe my PC, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, it just adds.

Yeah, I mean, it just checks you out, dude. And I'm thinking I could be playing against a cheater, but I'm not sure. Yeah. And I'm hesitant to calm out or not. Just those young, like, like there's these little things, Like, yeah.

Because even if your PC is, is bad, like, you're trying to push through, you know, like, you're in a champs finals. Like, Kyler's trying to push through that Colossus HP, you know, even though he's probably having a few deaths where he's like, what the fuck was that? Dude, that's what I keep returning to. Like, and then it's like, now it's affecting your comms, now it's affecting the team. And it's just like, this whole thing. It's just like, that shit sucks, dude.

It's a shitty position to be in, too, because Kyler has to face a choice there. He's like, we just won Map 1ch, Chams. Crazy comeback on Colossus. Yeah, I don't know what I would have done. Do I throw a wrench in the momentum, possibly? I would have kept playing. I'm not going on. I would have kept playing.

But that's how he must have felt something very wrong is what I'm saying. Yeah, no, he definitely did. In order to ask for that, it must have to ask. Like this, I can't play like this. So it sucks, and hopefully it can be figured out going forward. I don't know the fix, but I don't think all these players are lying. I don't. I mean, yeah, I don't think that's lying.

That'd be insane. How do you fix it? How do you fix it? We go back to Xbox? I mean, Xbox is never really, I feel like the, I feel like the, the Godbox convos that was on PS4 and I don't really ever remember

feeling like an Xbox was much different than the next I feel like Xbox was pretty goddamn consistent like in my experience I remember people were talking about in the last like for Halo no we put PC

What do we play on so what? It was Ghost Xbox 1 Yeah and then AW AW was also Xbox and then Black Ops 3 was the first PS4 one PS4 yeah okay

Hmm yeah I don't know man Maybe Microsoft, because they own Activision out too, right? Like, maybe we get Xbox. I wonder what the players would choose. Like, I wonder if you gave a poll to all the players legitimately. Do you want to play on PC or go back to console? I'm curious what we win.

I don't know. Because you have, I mean, PC is at its peak way better. Like, just the feeling and the engine, everything feels great. But, yeah, if it's causing inconsistency like that, it's like, fuck it, dude. We might need to go back to console. Yeah, who the fuck knows what they actually do? EFG and everybody did do a fucking excellent job. Seeing all of the banners pre-CDL up there, like was fucking awesome to see.

It was also very awesome to sit there and say, I was present for every single one of these, including the one before that, which was the called Call Duty XP, the first million dollar tournament that we won. Also should have been a world championship. But it felt good. And I wondered, like,

how many people that have been here, hear from that. I mean, I saw Corey Dunn there. He's been around forever and some of the people backstage. But like, you know, from the Activision side, how many people watch any of those like in completion from start to finish from complexity fucking winning all the way till phase winning this last one? And and that's that's that's what I mean, right? Like there's this massive history that you see there, all of the buildup to what this then turned into and and how much better it was back then, how much easier it was back then.

Like, when did anyone ever, besides Killa and Krim? Like, who else was fucking complaining about cables and, and lag like that? Yeah.

All right. It's tough, man. Tough problem to tackle. Yeah, so I haven't seen any of the new gameplay. I haven't seen new gameplay of Mono Warfare before.

I mean, obviously we still have another, like I said, competition. We have the cherry on top that's coming in two and a half weeks with the EWC. We win that cherry.

I think that we've had a very, very successful year. I'm happy that we have like very little doubt. Like August is packed. We have EWC August 5th through 9th. Yeah. We have Optic Legacy Week. Then we have Cod Next August 21st. I think that's public now.

Yeah. It's remote. So it's online. So it's remote? It's remote, yeah. Oh, fuck yeah. And then he doesn't want to travel? And then the beta.

The beta begins. immediately after the Kodn-nextream ends. So pretty much until the beginning of September, we have the beta. And then we do have a bit of downtime. The new game comes out, what, October 24th or whatever? So it's not bad. I mean, August is packed to a call-duty stuff. And then September will be basically a whole off month,

I'm sure, like the Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 1 ports will be getting grinded out. And then we're right back to it with a new game. MW4, I saw some clips. Hit that Joe Wo? Don't really... Joe Wo? It literally... Weapon Blurrish, ooh.

I mean, that's just MW19. Yes, I saw a tweet that said, if I didn't know this was MW4... Yeah, not for real. And you asked me if it's MW19, MW22, or MW23, it'd be hard to give you a direct answer. Yeah. This to me looks MW19.

This looks like MW19, brother. It looks like not only MW19, but... Which, listen, I do want to be optimistic. MW19 had great gunplay. Like, that part felt good. So if we get good maps, and obviously if we have a mini map and things like that that are in the game, I'm not going to sit here and say it's definitely going to be bad. I think with good maps, it could be a good game because the gunplay in that game felt incredible.

Yeah. It looks, I mean, it looks good. I like the skinny guns have always like, I don't know, I've always like skinny looking guns. And maybe it's the FOV that he's playing on, but I don't know. I'm psyched about it. It looks cool. I'm always excited for the new game. Same.

I go into each one and think it's going to be good because then, if it's not, we'll talk about it then. But there's no point to go into a new game and say it's going to be terrible. Oh, yeah, I'm excited to play it. I want to play it. Yeah, me too. Snaking is back. I mean, I don't think Snaking's ever going to go away. That's just a game mechanic.

Oh, no. What's this? Yeah, but, no, see, it only matters what it looks like when he's doing it, though. Yeah, I thought it was going to be shown. You have to see the other POV before you could actually say what Snakin looks like. He's just saying that the, okay, cool, gunsman play out, we're good. Cotton Nexus, it's online this year. And they understand that, and it's obviously an issue that ricochet is trying to tackle. Hopefully they can figure it out this year, because, I mean, rank play for me this year died pretty early.
