And like my little teed brain
Like I'm thinking like after they lose
I'm just sitting there staring at the screen
Like dope-ass way to win
Like what was the what was the Mace like wincon there
Like the because once the crowd starts going
It's so loud
Like I think his only play would have just been to slide across
Open like and just get that little like track
And then just play it I mean it's just it was just a setup for him
Like it's it's too hard if you're him to know like
That's the only thing he can do in that moment
He thinks he's diffusing
Like he thinks I might get Ninja diffused around 11 to lose guys
champs. I need to check that bomb as quick as I possibly can.
Yeah.
It's a perfect way for, yeah.
Look, Abuza, again, super props to them.
I mean, what a dope way to win.
Yeah, that's, yeah.
You know, it's like using the green wall against us.
You know what I'm saying?
Fuck.
We got, we got play!
Ladies and gentlemen, I want to welcome you to the Outday podcast.
Episode 286.
I am here with my co-host, Invisible Seth, half a T2P.
We have the other half of T2P, Mr. Matthew Formal Piper, the sniper.
and Zinney.
Thanks.
The Winnie.
Thank you.
Wait, what?
No, it was just funny.
T2P, T2P and Zinny.
And me and too, also not T2P, but definitely H4F.
Hex.
Hex for formal.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome.
There are a bunch of discussions that we're going to get to.
Obviously, Huntsman being one of them.
Obviously, this is why Sin is going to get his dope ass, super comfy.
The hoodie is insane.
I didn't wear it to Paris.
And once I got there, I realized that I would die if I wore it.
We have a lot to talk about.
We have a huntsman update.
We have, of course, you know, the Cod Champs recap, which I wish it was a little bit more positive, but it is what it is.
You know how many people.
I mean, I don't think is it, is it like no one cares, right?
No one's proud of being second, right?
Like, it's that.
No.
Not the players.
No, I'm certainly not.
I mean, I'm proud of the players, but I'm not, you know, I would have.
No one cares.
Like it's not like a like, yeah, at least we came sex.
It's like a silver medal.
You know what I'm saying?
It's just like the first one to, the last one to lose.
Confetti's falling on you.
Yeah.
As you lost.
The worst feeling ever.
And there was everybody celebrating.
Bro, look, sitting in that dog out and the coaches dog out when they want, I mean,
obviously when we saw it in the whole thing and boom, boom, boom.
And as they lost, behind us, the face dog out was fucking screaming and celebrating.
And then they run out the door.
They're making all this fucking noise.
and I see myself in there
and I was like,
that's how it feels.
Because, dude,
the greed,
the greed,
the greed to think
that we were,
that we could have,
I mean,
we could have,
really close to could have.
No, we really could have.
Fuck.
There is a timeline
in which we went
every single tournament
this year
because that's how it went.
And, oh my God.
Oh my God.
This year feels like
the year of what if kind of.
Yeah.
I mean,
EWC I'm excited for
because we've been in
every single grand final so far.
So I do think we can end the year with a bang.
But champs is champs and that's obviously the one that the team wanted to win and everyone
wanted to see.
It just was crazy to me is how outslade we were and it really came down to like three
round 11s.
Three round 11s that, in my opinion, two of them, we were in winning positions for sure.
Damn it, we were.
Of course we were, dude.
The 4V2 on Den was really bad.
God, dude, fundies.
Even the raid one, like, obviously the 4V2 on Den was like unacceptable.
If we were to watch the Huntsman do that,
that would look like a Huntsman, like, lost.
You know what I'm saying?
That's how we've seen the Huntsman lose before.
And me and Zim, we're also talking, like, earlier in the weekend,
like, it's more stressful watching the Huntsman
because when we watch the main team play,
like, they're so good, you don't really get that kind of stress.
And it's just like we watch it happen there, so it's fucked.
Speaking of the Husman and S&D,
did you know that we, that's who warmed us up?
Oh, they did actually go there and school?
Honsman warmed us up, yeah.
What else did they do?
Siphoned the shit from them?
No, I'm just kidding.
Space Jam? That's a joke.
They took the fucking forward.
It's a joke.
He was making it all week.
I thought it was funny.
No, about that search play.
I said they fucking...
Specifically.
About that one search play, I said they siphon the Huntsman search round.
Yeah.
I mean, even like the raid one, we had bomb down B.
Trousy's in the water.
They're coming down pool steps.
Like if Ants first contact there and he gets the first kill, jumps back in the water,
jumps in a tiki, like 4 v3, 20 seconds.
And then you go up 2-0 in the series.
Now it's a whole game of like
What Ifs? Butterfly effect is in swing
Like there's so many things dude
Because they're full blown tweaking
If you get to kill and gets back in the water
You can't, there's no way to get him without dying
Yeah it's just I mean everything just kind of crumbled like so fast
In that round 11
And then obviously the Den one was like a must win
In my opinion
Going down 4-1 was like
Pretty much wrapping it up right like
Yeah, that was a little too hard
But then the nail in the coffin like the crowd
Like the counter crowd where
As soon as the crowd starts going crazy
If you're Mason
I mean you're thinking in that
In that moment
I'm getting ninja defused
I have to check the bomb
And he made such a good play
As soon as I saw what he did
He like
His first instinct was to chase him mid-hall
Like he went to the bomb
Went to mid-hall
Came back to the bomb
Hopped it and I was like
As soon as he did that
He's playing the crowd
There's no other way
He's not gonna ninja
He knows he can't
Which is why I implore
And I ask
I came out
On the middle of the floor
major one I grabbed the microphone and I asked the crowd to please don't help us don't
help we don't need help we we we don't need help in S&D like think about how lame and
this is for you guys right think about how lame it would have felt to us if there would
have been that aster like obviously the crowd's going to do the crowd but we don't want to win
by external like forces or circumstances we want to win on our own so that we can be
proud you so that you could be proud of the fact that we won that
fair and square.
You know what I'm saying?
So I am a big,
a big, big,
big hater of the crowd helping.
Like,
almost like irkiness.
Just because of that.
And look,
it came back to bite us in the ass.
You think you're helping.
You're not in any case in scenario.
You're helping us cheat?
You're helping us what?
What are you helping us do?
Because we don't need that sort of help.
The support that you give,
you being there and cheering for us when we're doing good.
That's it.
That's all we need.
All the other stuff,
unneeded.
And in this case,
back to bite us in the ass, unfortunately.
Yeah, I've always hated the crowd cheese at the same time.
It's kind of just like a necessary.
Like it makes, now you have to make plays like this where you're like using the crowd.
Look at this shit.
It does suck that it happened to us, but that's a really cool play.
Like to hear that listen and hear them say they're going to play the crowd and then it works.
Like that is...
Yeah, it was like almost like poetic for phase, right?
Like even that first blood O4 just got in Shotty spot onto Shotsie.
That's how the round starts, you know?
Like that's, it's kind of insane.
Like, watch it all.
First off, I can't believe Mason got away
and then watch right here.
He goes and then as soon as he did this.
And like my little teed brain,
like I'm thinking like after they lose,
I'm just sitting there staring at the screen.
Such a dope-ass way to win.
Like what was the,
what was the Mace like WinCon there?
Like the, because once the crowd starts going,
it's so loud.
Like I think his only play would have just been
to slide across open.
Like, and just get that little like track
and then just play it.
I mean, it's just,
it was just a setup for him.
Like, it's too hard if you're him to know
like that's the only thing he can do in that moment.
He thinks he's diffusing.
He thinks I might get Ninja diffused around 11 to lose God champs.
I need to check that bomb as quick as I possibly can.
Yeah.
There's a perfect quick movie.
Again, super props to them.
I mean, what a dope way to win.
Yeah, that's, you know, it's like using the green wall against us.
You know what I'm saying?
Fuck.
We got played!
You guys let us get played.
I mean, Faze, shout out to Faze, bro.
They had an unreal tournament, especially Abuza.
I feel like Abuza should have got MVP.
Simp obviously is.
Simp, he's arguably the greatest now with all the combo around his name, the rings,
the his longevity.
I think, I think Abuza was just on a whole.
How many of the shots you have?
Three.
So what do you mean he's the greatest?
I'm saying, that's the, that's the combo right now.
Simp, Shotsie, scump, crim, that's what everyone's talking about.
What I'm saying.
The most championships.
And also three rings.
And also three rings.
What I was saying was Abusa to me was like the difference.
maker in that grade.
That overload he played in that swing map was fucking on a 40 and 20, 45 and 20.
Something silly?
Yeah.
I too also agree that obviously simp is simp, but that Abuza, I mean, that dude was nasty
the entire time.
I mean, fucking 04s, fucking like takeover.
Like get the fuck out of here, man.
Ford N.HP.
Best hard point I've seen all year.
And it only won up himself from the Scar H.P.
It almost felt like he was the only one like on a good PC.
That's how good.
it looks. It was like, no, and this is obvious.
No, we're talking about that PC shit. We have to. Okay, well, whatever, but I'm not saying
that about 04 specifically because he's done that. He's had takeover games where he just is
like the best shooter in the game in that, in those very fucking moments. But yeah, I wasn't
saying in this particular case, I'm just saying in general. He's just the way he shoot,
the way he kills people so fast. I was talking to JP about that. And we were just like,
how do you even, like, how do you watch a map like that back? When someone is doing things like that,
going 43 and 17.
It's so hard to look at that and be like,
oh, we should have done this.
Like, well, the guy was popping two every life,
through every life.
It is what it is.
Sometimes players like that can take over a map
and we've seen our boys do it how many times.
This last name is Rodriguez.
And also the last thing I'll say about the finals too,
like I do tip the fuck that phase.
Like phase and optic were two of the best respond teams the whole year,
but both of them had very shaky as in distance,
like just throughout the year.
And then when you get to the final,
of course it goes round 11.
And it's like they came prepped.
They were much better at this event
than I think at all the others.
Even when they won major two,
they kind of dominated us in response as well.
But this one, they went all through round 11s.
You just kind of really have to tip that.
They definitely put in a lot of work
between, you know, these basketball majors
in this champs, so I do want to give a problem.
I feel like they use champs as like
every match they won, they kind of just elevated.
Like their pace was improving.
They were starting to slay more.
Yeah, their teamwork was on point.
They caught fire and they made it happen.
It just sucks that we,
we were on the receiving end of those round 11s because
Yeah, it's a heartbreaker for the boys.
I mean, sitting in that, sitting there watching that
and just feeling that deflating feeling of like three,
like we couldn't get one of them, all three.
Dugs, man.
Even last one was like a 5-3 comeback for phase.
Like that's hard, dude.
That's hard.
5-3 down in Hossi, like our comfort pick basically.
And to win around 11, I mean, dude, Jesus Christ.
And we have gridlock heart point next,
which I'm confident that gridlock hard point
would have looked good for us.
Yeah, and then best six.
And then it's just like you get to that game nine, now it's a coin flip.
Now it's legit heads or tails.
Yeah.
Like it's, it's, it's,
I'm not, that's all timings.
Me, man.
Who the fuck knows, man.
Congratulations to Phase Vegas, obviously.
Shout out my man, Paul.
And the players, man, like the coaching staff,
Kisan, like all the, all the, Zuma, the entire crew.
Celebrate, celebrate.
It feels good.
It feels good.
But we're going to, we're going to try to do what they did to us two years ago,
where we won champs.
they went on to win EWC
and then they were talking
all that shit about the best team
in that fucking game
in the end of the year
it's the bag of see ya
it is
it's our turn I hope
hopefully
yeah
I think it's gonna be
a crazy competitive tournament
because I just don't
I don't see thieves
playing like that again
I feel like that's got
that has to be an anomaly
maybe I'm wrong
but that has to be an anomaly
there's no way thieves
you think
fell off a cliff like that
in three weeks
not thieves
not the Eves
Scrap was fucking
literally dwarfed or nerfed or whatever you want to fucking call it with that PC shit.
Let's talk about this PC shit.
So obviously Scrap, he's like, he breaks the barrier and he releases this huge post about
the inconsistency with the PCs.
And I have to be honest, I completely believe him because, and the one reason that keeps replaying
in my head is that Hooke of all players asked for a PC switch after a Map 1, Cod Champs final.
If anybody knows Hooke as a player or person, he probably,
has the most game time in the league. If it's not him, he's in the convo. For him to be up there
after a Map 1 champs win and say, something is wrong, I need a new PC. There's like literally
no one I believe more. So, an anecdote there, I was talking to JP because I was backstays with
the coaches. Hooke was able to replicate the whatever was making a jitter and have that thing
appear, the laggy shit. So he did it, he replicated, he showed the refs, he showed the refs over and
over again that it's happening. So he was able to recreate the thing that was creating the lag
so the ref was able to see over and over that that's a problem. Yeah. So that's that in that particular
case, that's what happened. And then at the same time, because I was listening on my on the headphones,
because in the back, you can hear their comments. Yeah, you can hear their comes. You can't talk to
them, but you can hear the comments. And I was like here and then Brandon is like, I need one to.
I need one too. This is fucking bar. The same same same shit's happening over here. Look, look, look, look.
And then that's when they started. That's why it was such a double swap there.
but didn't Brandon's come after like the map four?
Like, Kyler was after Ma'amper 1?
But did they make Brandon play on that?
Like, was Brandon saying after map 1?
Do you remember?
Because like if Brandon was saying after Map 1 and they only swapped Kyler's,
that's, I mean, that's a bit of an issue.
I think they swapped both.
I don't remember because I was in, I don't think Bruce asked.
I talked to him about it.
I don't think he asked after Map 1 like Kyler did.
I don't think he did.
Kyler asked for one.
I can tell, I can, I'm almost certain that I heard what I heard.
And I don't know if they, I'm in a fucking, like,
locker room.
There's TV, but they're not showing like the onstage stuff.
Either way, so we have scrap, Huck, Dashie, Rencore, Mamba was in my chat last night saying he felt it.
It's one of those things where when a player likes Scrap plays like that, granted, everyone has bad series.
I don't think he's like this nervous breaker.
I don't personally.
I know the kid personally, maybe, but I tend to, and I talk to him about it.
I'm like, why didn't you ask until after Map 4?
And he was like, because we were up 2-0.
He goes, even though I was getting shit on, the last thing I wanted to do was throw my team out of flow and cause that delay when we have momentum.
And after Map 4, I just felt like I had no choice.
It sucks that we're playing or they are playing in a league where these issues might happen.
Like there's definitely no room for like inconsistency.
What's wrong with these PCs?
Why can't we take the same way that people bring your own PC to Dreamhack?
Why don't we bring our own PCs that they use?
on a weekly fucking basis to the spot.
I mean, there's a lot of issues that, right?
Like, okay, for one-
We're paying for it.
They're not-
The league's not paying for it.
I mean, that's just gonna cause extra time
of them checking it before every single series,
but whatever.
It sucks for the league too.
Like, this isn't just on the players,
because like, from the league's perspective,
they don't want to sell the broadcasts.
They don't want players lying
when they're having a bad series.
So then they have to actually have problems
be like how Tyler showed.
Like, there has to be serious problems
showing up on the screen for the ref to say,
hey, there is something happening.
I don't know if the player's lying or not.
Because if this was happening all the time
and players should say, I need to swap now
after every map, then you could just ice the other team.
Then there's a whole bunch of other shit.
So it's just bad on everyone.
It just sucks that this is a problem to begin with.
Because, I mean, like Danny said,
this doesn't just happen to scrap.
Like, I've been in the T.S.
With these players, like, all year.
Bro, they've all been saying this shit the whole year.
Online matches, online matches.
It's just, there's just this inconsistency.
And I don't know if it's just call duty base.
I don't know if it's,
because we didn't have problems in Halo as well
with,
the SSDs. I don't know if
cod players use SSDs and they bring
SSDs and put them in the PCs.
The CDL has your account.
Like the CDL swaps the SSDs, yeah.
Okay, so it might be an SSD thing because
we had a similar issue in Halo, right? Because
Spartan the dog got banned because he brought his own
because he was obviously... He knew?
He knew. He was just like it doesn't feel the same, you know?
And it's hard to replicate how it feels at home.
It's crazy that CS can do it so well.
Because I don't know how CS doesn't have any issues
really. When you watch CS broadcasts, it's
only if you know, some weird shit's going on.
that they pause the match.
Like, it doesn't ever seem like it's like a bullet-reg issue,
whether it be hurts.
I don't really know the intricacies,
and it sucks because it looks bad on the players,
looks bad on the league.
Now it looks like scraps of fucking champsbreaker.
I do feel for the kid,
because I really don't think he's just a random champs breaker.
He's too good.
Like, when I watch, he was shooting,
like, there were some kills where I was like,
how was he not getting that kill?
And maybe I'm tripping myself out,
but there's no way he's a point sick.
Like, he's just not.
Minutes 40s is unbelievable for something like that.
He's not that.
I mean like it happened in Brandon
Winners finals last event
You guys remember what that look like
Against thieves
Winner's finals I go down 02
They get 3 O'd in the series
But Brand asked for a PC swap after map 2
He's a point 4 in the series
Up to that point
Who was sitting in his seat
The match before and how did he perform
See that's the thing
The only thing I can think of now
Is because I know that it's an SSD thing
Is if they're swapping SSDs
That could feel different from the same PC
Putting in a different SSD into that PC
Could react completely differently
I don't know how any of that shit works
You know?
I could be wrong
but there was crazy down time
between series at the event.
I think they were doing a full reset every series.
I could be wrong, but I know like the monitors
were going blacked out.
Oh, and the players were walking on stage?
What?
That they reset, that all the,
it reset, everything reset to like 60, 60 hertz.
60 hertz.
Yeah, so they, everybody had to go in.
If they noticed, they had to go in
and reset and readjust and redo everything all over again.
Yeah, I mean, it's just tough, man.
I just hate that it's even a combo
because the last thing you want to do is like
you don't want to take away anybody's win
anybody's performance
we had a same conversation after we won
it's like it's just unfortunate that
this is what's happening
I mean even back on console everyone's like go back to console
it definitely happened less but even back then people were like
oh I had the god box or I had a bad box
or my P.S whatever was terrible
yeah it's happened always I hope they can
maybe find some more consistency.
I wonder if it's maybe a server thing,
because obviously we used to play on land,
and now it's kind of like fake land,
where you're all in the same room,
but you're playing on a server.
I don't know, but it sucks as a player too,
because now in the back of your head,
if you're not playing well,
like you're thinking, oh, maybe my PC,
like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, it just adds.
Yeah, I mean, it just checks you out, dude.
And I'm thinking I could be playing against a cheater,
but I'm not sure.
Yeah.
And I'm hesitant to calm out or not.
Just those young, like,
like there's these little things,
Like, yeah.
Because even if your PC is, is bad, like, you're trying to push through, you know, like,
you're in a champs finals.
Like, Kyler's trying to push through that Colossus HP, you know, even though he's probably
having a few deaths where he's like, what the fuck was that?
Dude, that's what I keep returning to.
Like, and then it's like, now it's affecting your comms, now it's affecting the team.
And it's just like, this whole thing.
It's just like, that shit sucks, dude.
It's a shitty position to be in, too, because Kyler has to face a choice there.
He's like, we just won Map 1ch, Chams.
Crazy comeback on Colossus.
Yeah, I don't know what I would have done.
Do I throw a wrench in the momentum, possibly?
I would have kept playing.
I'm not going on.
I would have kept playing.
But that's how he must have felt something very wrong is what I'm saying.
Yeah, no, he definitely did.
In order to ask for that, it must have to ask.
Like this, I can't play like this.
So it sucks, and hopefully it can be figured out going forward.
I don't know the fix, but I don't think all these players are lying.
I don't.
I mean, yeah, I don't think that's lying.
That'd be insane.
How do you fix it?
How do you fix it?
We go back to Xbox?
I mean, Xbox is never really, I feel like the, I feel like the,
the Godbox convos
that was on PS4
and I don't really ever remember
feeling like an Xbox
was much different than the next
I feel like Xbox was pretty goddamn
consistent
like in my experience
I remember people were talking about
in the last like for Halo
no we put PC
What do we play on
so what?
It was Ghost Xbox 1
Yeah and then AW
AW was also
Xbox and then Black Ops 3
was the first PS4 one
PS4 yeah okay
Hmm
yeah I don't know man
Maybe Microsoft, because they own Activision out too, right?
Like, maybe we get Xbox.
I wonder what the players would choose.
Like, I wonder if you gave a poll to all the players legitimately.
Do you want to play on PC or go back to console?
I'm curious what we win.
I don't know.
Because you have, I mean, PC is at its peak way better.
Like, just the feeling and the engine, everything feels great.
But, yeah, if it's causing inconsistency like that, it's like, fuck it, dude.
We might need to go back to console.
Yeah, who the fuck knows what they actually do?
EFG and everybody did do a fucking excellent job.
Seeing all of the banners pre-CDL up there, like was fucking awesome to see.
It was also very awesome to sit there and say,
I was present for every single one of these,
including the one before that,
which was the called Call Duty XP,
the first million dollar tournament that we won.
Also should have been a world championship.
But it felt good.
And I wondered, like,
how many people that have been here,
hear from that. I mean, I saw Corey Dunn there. He's been around forever and some of the people
backstage. But like, you know, from the Activision side, how many people watch any of those
like in completion from start to finish from complexity fucking winning all the way till
phase winning this last one? And and that's that's that's what I mean, right? Like there's this
massive history that you see there, all of the buildup to what this then turned into and
and how much better it was back then,
how much easier it was back then.
Like,
when did anyone ever,
besides Killa and Krim?
Like,
who else was fucking complaining
about cables and,
and lag like that?
Yeah.
All right.
It's tough,
man.
Tough problem to tackle.
Yeah,
so I haven't seen any of the new gameplay.
I haven't seen new gameplay
of Mono Warfare before.
I mean,
obviously we still have another,
like I said,
competition.
We have the cherry on top
that's coming in two and a half weeks
with the EWC.
We win that cherry.
I think that we've had a very, very successful year.
I'm happy that we have like very little doubt.
Like August is packed.
We have EWC August 5th through 9th.
Yeah.
We have Optic Legacy Week.
Then we have Cod Next August 21st.
I think that's public now.
Yeah.
It's remote.
So it's online.
So it's remote?
It's remote, yeah.
Oh, fuck yeah.
And then he doesn't want to travel?
And then the beta.
The beta begins.
immediately after the Kodn-nextream ends.
So pretty much until the beginning of September, we have the beta.
And then we do have a bit of downtime.
The new game comes out, what, October 24th or whatever?
So it's not bad.
I mean, August is packed to a call-duty stuff.
And then September will be basically a whole off month,
I'm sure, like the Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 1 ports will be getting grinded out.
And then we're right back to it with a new game.
MW4, I saw some clips.
Hit that Joe Wo?
Don't really...
Joe Wo?
It literally...
Weapon Blurrish, ooh.
I mean, that's just MW19.
Yes, I saw a tweet that said,
if I didn't know this was MW4...
Yeah, not for real.
And you asked me if it's MW19, MW22, or MW23,
it'd be hard to give you a direct answer.
Yeah.
This to me looks MW19.
This looks like MW19, brother.
It looks like not only MW19, but...
Which, listen, I do want to be optimistic.
MW19 had great gunplay.
Like, that part felt good.
So if we get good maps, and obviously if we have a mini map and things like that that are in the game,
I'm not going to sit here and say it's definitely going to be bad.
I think with good maps, it could be a good game because the gunplay in that game felt incredible.
Yeah.
It looks, I mean, it looks good.
I like the skinny guns have always like, I don't know, I've always like skinny looking guns.
And maybe it's the FOV that he's playing on, but I don't know.
I'm psyched about it.
It looks cool.
I'm always excited for the new game.
Same.
I go into each one and think it's going to be good because then, if it's not, we'll talk about it then.
But there's no point to go into a new game and say it's going to be terrible.
Oh, yeah, I'm excited to play it.
I want to play it.
Yeah, me too.
Snaking is back.
I mean, I don't think Snaking's ever going to go away.
That's just a game mechanic.
Oh, no.
What's this?
Yeah, but, no, see, it only matters what it looks like when he's doing it, though.
Yeah, I thought it was going to be shown.
You have to see the other POV before you could actually say what Snakin looks like.
He's just saying that the, okay, cool, gunsman play out, we're good.
Cotton Nexus, it's online this year.
It's on August 21st, beta begins the same day.
When is it?
August 21st, the beta?
Yeah.
Fuck, perfect.
Trey Arc working with Infinity Award to bring ranked MW4.
Shout out to Lawrence from Treyark.
I had a nice long convo with him on Sunday night.
Those guys do care.
Those guys do care.
Yep.
I, of course, said my piece, of course, about the anti-cheet again.
I said, listen, no matter what you do at the end of the day, if we can't compete, like for us,
players and streamers, if we can't play it legit, it's going to be hard.
And they understand that, and it's obviously an issue that ricochet is trying to tackle.
Hopefully they can figure it out this year, because, I mean, rank play for me this year died pretty early.
Yeah, for sure.
It was hard to keep it going.
For sure.
I hope that they just come out with the game with rank play dropping, like, a week late into the game.
Just drop it way sooner than whatever the fuck they did last time.
Because remember how long it did it wait for that season one to start?
I think when Georgia players played season one and then stopped.
And I think the earlier the better, why not?
Why not?
Hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
We'll see.
You want to talk about this Bush drama,
or do you want to get straight into the Huntsman stuff?
I mean, we can talk Barstool Bush first, whatever.
I mean, essentially Dave Portnoyd has put out like a video talking about Bush.
Yeah, what was he saying?
He was basically saying for him it's something that he feels like he's constantly putting money into,
but it's making no money.
and there was some drama.
Like, Austin is Dave's, like, right-hand man assistant.
He does a lot for him, and he kind of put him on Bush,
like to approve budgets and work with Jerry and them.
And then Austin stepped away.
But this was essentially, I think this is good for the Bush personally.
I think this is exactly what you want if you're Jerry and those boys,
like having Dave post-tweets that are getting, how many views does this have?
4.3 million views.
Like, this is good for the Bush.
He mentions how he's friends with the crafts
and they bought in for like 20 million
and now they're trying to sell it to him for a million
which he feels like isn't really a good sign.
Goes on about how it seems like a fun little project
but is the ROI there.
Basically just ranting about Bush as a whole.
That's fair.
Actually, like you're a business guy.
Like if you were in a situation like that
where someone bought a product for 20 mil
and then try to sell it to you for one mil,
it looks bad, right?
Mm-hmm. Like, you're like, well, what the fuck happened?
What happened to all that value?
Did one of the partners not do what they were supposed to be doing?
I don't have the...
Yeah, that's exactly what fucking happened, Davey, day trader.
Look, at the end of the day, this whole thing has set us back fucking who knows how long.
And we're going to have to fucking crawl away out of it.
Luckily for the entire scene, I am still here and willing to.
because I love this thing.
I say it, I'll say it again.
Calduri is more my game than it is their game and our game.
And then it's just, again, like when you have history where you have been present for every single one,
like you have a level understanding.
He doesn't understand it.
He's just looking at the top line numbers.
But if I'm any other organization out there, me included, let Davey,
if you want to send us Jerry fucking SaaS and MOOC,
we'll do that trade.
Who do you want, Davy?
You know what I'm saying?
We'll take them.
Because I do think that they bring something fresh to the scene.
Whether it goes anywhere where they do something, like, you know, it's going to be up to them.
But Dave's right, man.
Like the people they are there are there because Jerry, Mook, and Sass.
Period.
Right?
The pro players, what are they like what?
They don't get the views that the rest of the guys.
It's not even about that, right?
It's about what they bring to the table and they do.
They do have something.
So if I'm the crafts, I would have been like, okay, then Davey, how much do you want for the bush?
So that I can have them under breach.
Breach is bush.
Breach is bush.
Don't breach the bush.
Don't breach the bush.
Yes.
I think you and Davey to have a nice sit down, talk about this whole thing.
Because I do think.
That'd be a cool segment.
He's talking to.
I can't.
Because he will say, I can't.
I mean, one, I wouldn't talk to him about anything in particular.
But, you know, he uses everything for content.
Everything, everything, everything's content, everything.
Super easy.
Because, like, he mentions the crafts, and it's like,
I played for Boston.
Like, I know they were spending some money they didn't have to.
We didn't need to have a facility directly next to Gillette Stadium
that doubled as a land center.
Like, in my opinion, that's that, I knew that was a model.
A land center is not going to bring it a bunch of people on a daily basis
and drive revenue.
Listen, I think Bush had a fantastic first year.
But what if somebody tells you that is exactly,
what's going to happen.
That you should do that.
Well,
I would say,
you should build your own stadium,
they would argue against it.
That would have been crazy.
See,
some people would have got lucky, though,
because in the right location,
it could have doubled as a sick concert venue or whatever.
No, of course.
No, first of all,
every venue doubles as that.
That's how you keep the lights on
by having all the ancillary stuff.
But my opinion on this is like Bush
has had such an incredible first year.
Like,
they have insane reach.
It is challengers at the end of the day,
day, challengers compared to the CDL is a different
ball game. Like it is harder to sell
bigger sponsors on a challengers team
compared to a pro team. Right? When your
team's on that main stage wearing that jersey
in front of 20,000 people in Paris
or 6,000 people in Allen or
whatever, it is a bit of a different ballgame
but, I mean, listen, I think this is good for the Bush.
I think so too. Those guys care a lot.
I talk to them all the time. I wonder, however,
I wonder if this
is like part of like the
I don't know if they're serious. Like when
when SAS was talking on
son of, I think it was son of a boy dad, or whatever his podcast is, where he was talking about,
like, the reason that he replied.
Yeah.
To the whole thing.
This, this.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Like, like, like, the way he talks here so freely about.
What does he say here?
He just says that, like, uh, he sort of contradicts the help that, that Bush is receiving
from Barstool saying that, uh, Austin treats him like shit or some shit or, and I don't know.
Like, I don't know if this, him spilling the beans like this is content.
Well, Austin-
But here we are talking about on our fucking bug.
Move on.
It seemed like, initially when Austin made that tweet,
everyone interpreted that as him, like, rooting on the team's downfall.
Yeah.
And everyone was like, why the fuck are you rooting for your own guys to fail?
And that obviously pissed ass off.
Like, what did he tweet?
I don't even know.
He said, G.G.
Back to being full-time assistant, like, to Austin.
Basically saying, go fuck off.
Wow.
But it's funny because then they all went on the yak with Big Cat.
Like it just, it's organic.
And they talked it through and like it's getting a bunch of views.
And I'm telling you, it's all good things to the Bush.
Good.
Good.
Let's talk Huntsman.
But I will say Barstall is right.
Barstall has more to offer than the vice versa.
They're looking at it the right.
So we do too.
I have one last question.
We fucking do too.
And you don't have to answer it.
Is a million dollars too much or too little to buy into the CDL?
Or just don't answer.
It's like I was thinking about that.
It's a fucking steel.
It's a steel, okay.
Yeah, it's a fucking steel.
Because that's what I was thinking.
It's a steal only if you have the right content team behind it.
Because that is the only way that that's the only thing that's going to, like championships will get you something.
You know, but first you got to build the people that care.
That's what I was saying on stream.
It's like everyone just assumes that, oh, no matter what if you're in the CDL, you're going to lose money.
It's like, no, you could not pay 500.
K-per player salaries.
You can not...
Well, you can also not pay
fucking cheap-ass salaries either.
Exactly, yeah.
There's definitely a middle ground
where you can start to make some money.
But I think the issue is
everyone thinks it's going to be like immediate.
Everyone thinks like CDL spot
you should be making money instantly.
It's like no, you still got to...
Bush is doing it the right way.
Exactly. You still got to build something.
You still need to like...
It's like a startup in a sense.
Like, yeah, just because you're in the CDL,
look at the Carolina as the C-9s.
Like, you get...
get what you put in.
And I do think if you put your best foot forward,
especially them, they can make something happen.
Let's talk Huntsman.
That's...
Me?
I think, let me set you up.
Obviously, we have, we had to part ways with them
because Optic couldn't have two organizations
competing at EWC.
From there, conversations started to percolate.
Do we keep them?
Do we drop them?
Do we put a pause on it?
You know, we pay salaries here.
You know, we, we pay housing stipends.
We feed them.
We travel them.
You know, it's a lot of investment on our end, as it should be, right?
Because we are operators in this scene.
But, you know, from the beginning, we didn't, I didn't want to be a part of this thing.
And, you know, the program started out as being, you know, unknowns and blah, blah, blah, blah.
And then obviously because of, you know, different things, right?
are, how we say, the story of renegade and how it's told, right?
From, you sort of bet on these things to become good stories that we can share with
people and make good videos around it.
But sometimes it just doesn't pan out.
Circumstances can be anything.
So you want to take it, you can take it from there, actually.
Yeah, so just to clarify, like all the Huntsman players are being released,
coach major maniacs being released, it doesn't really, we tried to talk to you.
The GM's being released.
Sorry, guys.
We talked to the folks at EWC, you know, hey, we have this academy team.
We're willing to forfeit the EWC points because obviously the organizations get collective points to earn money.
We're like, we're not worried about that.
We would, you know, we would like to send this team here and they let us know that it just can't happen.
We can't have two organizations competing, and that includes the LCQ.
So, and even if we auto-qualified through top three of champs, we weren't allowed to send them as the huntsman.
so just makes sense that they can all go find the best next place for them.
I told them all like the door isn't shut 100%, but right now, like you guys should go try to figure out a way to the LCQ.
Sucks that we were so close.
I mean, we tied our best ever land placing at Challenger's champs going back to with Neum and Kipps.
I mean, I just want to speak about Huntsman for a second because like I, it did mean, it does mean a lot to me.
And like I got to know a lot of great players this year.
Some people will argue with me about whether I think.
it's a success or not, and I do. I mean, we sent
Neum and Kipps to the league, and they're the best
two rookies in the league. I look at the
mentions out there on Team War killing it.
Like, just because they didn't find success
with our roster, does it mean
that I don't consider it a success to see
them going out there and doing well with
other rosters? I think we put our best
foot forward, especially for it being our first
year. And I hope you guys
enjoyed the Challenger's journey, year one.
Like, as for the future,
we'll continue to discuss
what that may be. I have a question.
As you're saying these things, I'm thinking to myself, can we take credit for that?
You know what did we really do for like, Kipps and Niel?
I like to think we played a small part.
Some, of course, being obviously coached by you, by you, by Seth.
I should say Niam and Kipps weren't on the huntsman.
And they were on some other team that wasn't streaming.
Yes.
Like who knows what their future looks like.
Yes.
I think having them be available to watch not only gameplay,
but hear what they sound like in-game, in tournament setting
was very important for these CDL teams
that were interested in players to pick them up.
So I do think that was a big part of it.
And I don't think it was possible without Donsman.
And that, ladies and gentlemen,
is how you set up an alley-up for you to prove a point
for all those who were saying the opposite.
Yes, it helps.
Yes, the program is successful.
Yes.
so are we going to continue to do it next year?
I mean, we'll see. We'll see.
Cindy, what do you think?
You know my vote.
I mean, I, of course, want to keep the huntsman going.
Obviously, there's more to it.
I understand that, so we'll figure it out.
I already have a plan in my head about what I could see the future being.
One thing that is green?
The future is green.
One thing that I think people don't understand,
or at least like when they talk to me,
is that a lot of these challengers players now are under contract.
And buying out challengers players as a challengers team in my head,
at least on a consistent basis,
I do think there's like the one-off, okay, well, we'll pay this small buyout.
It doesn't really make sense to buy out players from challengers teams
to then elevate them and hope to get them to the pro league.
Because unless you get really lucky, like a player like Ethan,
he's going to sell for a lot of money.
But most players are going to sell.
What's a lot of money?
Probably 50K, man.
Yeah, I would say 50.
I think I'd get worth 50K.
But I mean, he just won Challenger's champs.
He's very young.
Yeah, I mean, he can name the price.
How bad do you want him?
So a lot of the things that we wanted to do and make certain moves this year weren't possible.
We were also eight minutes away from having a Luca on our team at Challenders champs.
I mean, he...
Thank God we didn't then, because look at how fucking good he did.
So a lot of things went our way.
A lot of things didn't.
It was a learning experience.
and I'm proud of it.
I am.
No matter how much people try to shit on me or it, whatever,
I'm proud of our year one.
So hopefully we'll keep it going in the future.
How was it, dude?
I was all of it.
Be in the face or the umbrella for all the shit shield.
It was great moments and not so great moments, right?
Like I think I did a good job of kind of letting it roll off my shoulder
because at the end of the day, I think people are just passionate and excited.
In the beginning, it was a little bit tough for you.
you, but I think towards the end you just started to be like, all right, this is like,
this is it, this what happens.
It was, it was tough because I know for a fact, if Neum and Kipps don't get picked up
that soon, we have championships to talk about.
Like, I'm very, I'm very confident.
I could sit here and say, Huntsman won, X, Y, and Z, if, hopefully, I do think that
way.
And when your best two players get picked up that quickly, yeah, points to it.
I also want to talk about Renegade real quick, I mean, just because we're on the topic,
what a year from him.
Like I do think towards the end
maybe a little bit inconsistent,
but like for him to go out there
and destroy Carolina in Atlanta
on the main stage or whatever it was,
one of the stages.
Like in one year, in a game like Black Op 7,
super fast pace,
Omni movement, your Cod IQ
has to be very developed
in order to like
make those decisions on the fly.
His progress and improvement.
I mean, I'm so proud of him individually.
Just wanted to.
talk about him because obviously he's been here from the star ever since it was supposed to be him and bound
yeah um his his growth has been awesome shout out to major maniac as well all of our guys
thank you to all of them yeah thank you and we'll see what the uh future holds major maniac should be a
cdl coach i think john's gonna be in the league next year i do think that i truthly think that john
did everything that he needed to do this year to get enough interest from these cdl teams to get an
offer for next year there's a team interested in him for ewc right now yeah i believe it i'm not sure
if it's going to come to fruition, but yeah, he has
looks, him in, him and wake
specifically.
Oh yeah. Definitely believe it.
Well, Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 1
Port's player count reveal.
All right, let me see, what do they reveal, Maddie?
Let me guess, 200,000.
Live concurrence.
Five mil, I believe.
I think that's how Blackups doing.
I have been enjoying it.
It is fun.
I have not even fucking looked at it.
Wow.
Wow.
Million players.
Wow.
Wow, wow, wow.
What do you think that...
I think, yo, do you think MW4 is looking at this?
Like, fuck, why did you guys do this?
Maybe, yeah, maybe.
They got a new game coming out a couple months
and you're releasing the dope shit, the cream of the crop.
Or they're looking at it like
they're getting so much interest back in Call of Duty right before their launch.
Maybe it's a good thing.
Yeah, I think there's two ways to look at it, you know?
I'll tell you one thing.
You should have kept Black Ops one out of that.
I mean, one point nine, never mind, you're right.
I want to know if it would have been 15 to 20 million if Call of Duty modern warfare remastered got remastered and re-released.
Dude, give it up.
Well, these aren't even remasters.
Like, they don't, like Black Ops 1 feels awful, to be honest with you.
I've played both.
Black Ops 2 is playable.
There's a little bit of input to the way, as you can imagine.
It's a 15-year-old game on new gen.
Black Ops 1 feels bad.
A remaster Black Ops 2 would do insane.
If Black Ops 2 was like new gen felt like a new engine, it would be crazy.
But I've been having a lot of fun playing this.
It's like the perfect thing to carry the offseason, in my opinion.
I can see some throwback tournaments and maybe eights.
We'll see.
And maybe I'll get a PS5.
Throw me in the show.
Yeah, it's fun.
Go back and dominate.
Blackop 7 in Warzone hold race to earn camo.
Only 100 throws can unlock.
Only 100,000.
Only 100k.
Only 100,000.
Wow, very exclusive.
And that's the camera?
Oh, it has the number.
Oh, okay, it's a serial number.
Okay, I'll ask you this.
That's a little cooler.
I'll tell you what would make it actually cool because it's a right not in a shit.
I'll tell you what to make it cool.
Trade.
If I am able to unlock one and then sell it to somebody.
Oh, yeah.
And yes, Activision, of course.
Stick your hand out.
You get your cut.
Of course.
Take 95%.
Fuck it.
If it was one of 100, that would go crazy.
This is a lot of people play the game.
I don't know, one of 100,000 seems like a little.
Or even like 1,000.
Yeah, 1,000 would be fine too.
Even 10, bro.
Even 10.
100,000 is fucking crazy, dude.
Like, no one gives a fuck.
No one gives a fuck.
Especially when the camo looks like that.
Imagine the camel was sick as fuck, though.
Yeah, imagine if they had a good camel.
Yeah.
No offense to the artists.
I know that you guys are under strict rules and often are not giving the chance to
artistically express yourself.
Can't touch the clip.
Can't touch the handle looks like.
Like, you know, I mean,
Can't touch the barrel.
Can't touch any of that shit, so can't touch the site.
It should be more, you can touch it if you want to.
Yeah.
Around the internet.
Hey, congrats, Mr. Bees.
Congratulations to Mr. Beast.
I got married.
And Mrs. Beast.
Congrats, man.
Yeah, congrats.
Odyssey.
Are we getting together and going to get as, like, can we go?
I went to see you with my mom.
Did you?
Yeah.
70 M or not?
Not on 70 M.
So I did look it up and then we're all sold out.
I'm actually pissed that I saw like the comparison between 70M and regular because
now in my head I'm like I need to see the premium option and it's sold out completely.
I mean, how long?
We didn't do it.
Until August 13th or whatever.
Oh, man.
It's right around the corner.
No, but I'm not sure if it's going to be in theaters.
I think it's sold out so it's out of theaters.
It will not be taken out.
I bet you if you want, can you go on eBay and buy them?
There's definitely resellers.
I might pay resale.
Yeah, yeah, same, same, same.
I might pay 70 M resale.
You might get me.
Yeah, I'd be a good thing to rebuy, to be honest.
Yes.
You guys see the Doomsday trailer?
I actually didn't.
No, I don't watch trailers.
Oh, you don't watch trailers?
Oh, you don't want to see it at all?
No, I don't watch trailers.
What?
Wait, your seats, 475?
Where?
What are the seats?
No, where's the middle ones?
Do I need middle seats?
Wait, did you type, did you type Dallas?
Okay, type Dallas.
Look at the world we're living in.
there you go man
give the robot more information
five tickets for 750 each or 750
total whoa hold on
750 total yeah yeah yeah that's
that's seven people dude I mean
five tickets sorry what the fuck am I saying
wear those seats hold on press that picture far left
oh my god get it get it Matt get it get it
oh he's dead center
that's like the perfect seats
what is it for when for when
720?
You guys should buy that.
What's the...
Oh, never mind.
Seven.
Oh, what?
Damn.
What a tease.
This guy's trying to full-blown scam.
Yeah.
It's like those people's like...
They'll find print.
You're only buying the ticket picture
that's printed on this piece of paper.
It is not a working ticket.
See, that guy sold 752 tickets.
Like almost 400 bucks each.
That's pretty nuts.
300 bucks each
300 bucks each
see I do want to see it
I don't think I'm going to spend 300 on it
it just sucks that
I would
I just wish I didn't say those comparisons
because you literally get like
a quarter of the movie
yeah
you're missing a lot of the shot
it was fine
like it was still a good movie
it wasn't like
I didn't really think about it
while I was watching it
at the point
but I did see the clips before
it pisses me off though
listen this guy's the goat
I love all of his movies
but it pisses me off
that
he shot it in a way
that...
Which one is the one?
Limits how many people...
That's the new one.
So you get more
of like the top to bottom
shots.
It limits how many people
can see it in its peak form
the way it's intended to be viewed.
Yeah.
Like Matt,
can you go on Twitter
and try to find the comparison
where like it compares
the two shots of like the giants?
That's when I was like, whoa.
Yeah.
Well, I'm going to close my eyes.
No, no, you want to see this.
What, giants?
I don't want to see anything
from this fucking movie.
It's a very serious.
I just see that Matt Damon
it's a fucking Spartan.
I didn't know that.
That's not going to spoil anything for you.
Don't peek at me.
Is it part of the 13th Legion?
See, look.
Oh, I mean, this isn't the one.
Yeah, that doesn't look.
I'm telling you, it doesn't look that bad.
It's definitely clutchable.
It's probably something we should still go see,
even if it's not in 70 M.
Don't not see it if you can't get 70 M.
I should still see it.
I'm going to go to 71mm, me, me, me, me, me,
milim, me, me.
Bro, what?
That's Matt Damon from the Federation of Actors Guild.
Only 40 theaters on Earth.
Fuck yeah.
Crazy.
Cool.
Thank you, Matt.
And then finally, did you see that LeBron might have gotten leaked back to Miami?
The social media manager is shitting his pants.
Or the social media manager is getting a raise for getting all those views, pretending.
I mean
How many views have?
It's everywhere.
Well, no one cares.
But look, statue unveiling ceremony.
So someone was saying that that's just like a statue that they're building for him.
But like LeBron James introductory press conference.
Yeah, he's introducing Dwayne Wade's statue, dude.
We'll see.
I mean, if you have your choice.
Imagine the social media manager ruined it and now he's going to go to Cleveland.
No, no, no, no, no.
He's like, way to fuck that up.
Now I've got to make a splash.
No, fuck that.
Imagine, though?
He, like, all right,
Bron,
billionaire,
everything at your disposal.
Athletic as fucking,
still dominant on the court.
You want to go to Cleveland
or do you want to go to Miami?
See,
as someone with no skin in the game.
Do you want to go to a place that has coat or no?
I think he has to go back to Cleveland.
I do too.
Like,
I think,
but I wouldn't.
I think he,
retiring in Cleveland will be,
The coolest thing, I think.
Like, going to the Warriors.
And Cleveland's good right now, too.
Like, if it goes to the Warriors, I'm just like, ew, dude, don't do that.
I think you should.
Yeah, it'd be kind of out of place, huh?
It goes to the Warriors randomly.
It goes from place to staff.
That'd be cool, but, like, in retirement, Cleveland, that'd go hard.
Dude, if he joined fucking the Warriors, I would have the fucking biggest smile in my.
Can't beat him join.
You know what I'm saying?
The motto.
Fuck, Lado.
I get that seven digits from your mother for that dollar tomorrow.
All right, is that it or on the internet matter?
Do we have anything more?
And that's going to do.
Scomper jumper.
