He texted the optic chat after and said, that's so tippable.
I know you guys want to tip it.
Yeah, yeah.
No, I just go ahead and tip it.
I smirked right away when I read that.
He's like, he's like, I know that was typical fuck, so just tip it already.
Yeah, just tip it already.
And I was like, no, that's such a math thing to text, but, bro, not only did they, did they win, but, you know, dominated.
Dominated.
Don't yeah.
Welcome, welcome to episode number 993.
At one point, do you think that we can get to 993?
Matt, do the math?
993.
That's three years.
If we do a podcast every single year.
That's almost where the Flycast is.
We're at like 845.
But at this pace right now in 993.
That'd be like...
It's a lot of weeks.
Yeah.
Dude, how many weeks?
How long do you think?
How was Joe Rogan at 15?
Because he does like three episodes a week, four episodes a week.
17 years?
17 years?
Not that bad.
It's not bad.
I actually thought it was.
Are you guys committing for 17 years to do this?
Yeah.
Let me ask you this.
How long do you think, like, all right, let's say you're,
21, 22?
You're 23.
Let's say you play until you're 30.
Yeah.
Like after that,
obviously comes content.
Like, how long do you think that you're going to be on camera for?
At least till I'm like, at least maybe 35.
Wait, wait, wait.
We ask Seth this all the time.
I want to ask you.
After you retire
codwise, are you going the content route or you go in the analyst
desk route or?
Like, because that's usually the two routes
people go after they retire?
What are you thinking?
Well, we're about coaching?
Yeah, coaching as well.
General manager.
Yeah, yeah.
I want to say that I want to say content creating because I feel like it'd be easy just for me to like,
retire and just play like another game on stream, you know what I'm saying?
Like, something like that, like, but...
I get you.
Except my man was raging at Valerite yesterday.
Usually I'm the one that's loud and his chat is like, yo, you're being too loud.
And I'm like, my bad, my bad.
Yeah, yes.
So people from his chat will go into yours and type in.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shut the fuck up.
But now, but yesterday people were coming to my chat was like, yo, go check on
Bruce, he's raging a lot today.
I think a problem.
It's a foul problem.
I don't know.
I think my account's bugged.
There's a glitch.
I keep getting the worst teammates possible.
How many games do you lose straight?
I lost like, I played like 15 games at one point and then I won like two at like 15.
No.
Like I want to say the 13 games I played.
What was your score is like though?
Eleven of them.
I am doing the most.
I'm getting three.
I'm calling out where the last two are and I'm seeing my teammates, boom, boom, boom.
They're just dropping like dominoes.
bro what do you want me to do like I'm like stream like and then eventually I got to the
poor I was just like I was actually becoming like a psychopath and I was like okay I probably
have to loki get off this game before I get canceling he walks over we we both in the stream
at the same time at the same time which like rarely happens and he walks over and he's like
bro I can't play that fucking game anymore I was like he was still raging I'm downloading apex
I'm downloading apex I need a new I need a new hobby or have you ever played apex oh you're
gonna love that shit especially are you gonna you're gonna
You're gonna play your controller or?
I don't know yet.
Is it better on controller?
Yes.
Dog.
Is it?
So I always thought the aim assist like, like, the debate was like stupid because I was like
mouse and keyboard is so much easier.
Yeah.
It is.
You get to use all your digits.
And it definitely is in in Call of Duty.
It's 100% easier.
I don't care what anyone says.
In Call of Duty?
In Call of Duty, like in Warzone and shit, like it's easier.
Dog, in Apex.
Is it even easier?
No.
In Apex.
Wait wait so aim assist is so high with controllers. It's like it it's like a it sticks to the character
Really? Yeah, it's like glued it's like glued like sometimes like there are some that's why like mouse and keyboard guys like like they're really good at movement like they're really good at like tap strafing and getting around people yeah
But like for people that play on controller like you just get a shotgun or you get like a like like a like a SMG that sprays really well and if you get close it's like
And they're just knocked amissist you probably have like better guns go eyes but like
I think because when I watch ACU played, he's moving.
No, I mean, in order to be like extremely good, especially like these pub stompers,
you have to like, you have to outmove the controller players.
Yeah.
That's why they do all that shit.
Yeah.
Because they, the only way to like kill a controller player up close is if to break their ankles.
Like, and that's why they're, that's why they move like that.
That's what they're just like actually.
Yeah, that makes sense.
So, I mean, it depends on how cracked you want to get.
You play Apex?
No.
I played like a long, when it first came out.
but that's about it
it's it's
I like I mean I don't have
I like it
it's still the best BR out right now
in my opinion
it's gonna take a lot to beat it too
really yeah
isn't Wars on 2 coming out
it's not coming out with the new cod
it's coming out like a month after
yeah it's coming out a month after
I think that shit's gonna get delayed
but we'll see yeah
we will see
think about a leap like leak place
oh he's you remember that
yeah it's coming out December
and it just doesn't come out forever
it doesn't come out forever
before champs
Hodge got into argument
Can you pull up Hutch?
He got into an argument with someone.
I think he blocked it out.
I hope he wasn't arguing with Tim the Tapp, man.
You know what I mean?
But...
He wasn't arguing with Tim, was he?
I don't think so.
Respond Devs, no, no, keep going down.
It's about the skill-based matchmaking.
Oh, God.
It's just a lit bit slow.
Hutch is like what people think I am.
No, you're exactly like that, too.
I am not.
Like, I don't go against the grain on everything.
There's some things, yes.
Chance the rapper's album was good.
I will stand by that.
But skill-based matchmaking?
Houch is just looking.
He's the only person.
He's the only creator on the internet
that defends skill-based matching.
I think he's just bored.
I think so too.
I think he's just looking for like some type of like dopamine like argument-wise.
So it really, it's really, really that simple.
These developers sit down with their data analysts.
Those analysts tell them that X and Y matchmaking parameters leads
to less people quitting out of matches
and way less people quitting the game entirely.
What's the whole deal?
That's it.
That's the whole deal.
So what the Jay versus Jay?
Jay versus J.
I don't understand how you can see this.
You couldn't achieve the same average level of competition
but just, can I?
Somebody said,
Hutch, I agree with him on skill-based matchmaking.
I don't want to play, I don't want to play like easy lobbies.
That's just not my thing.
I've never done that, right?
That's just not my thing.
I'd rather play with people who would like,
are, I have fun when I'm losing, but there's a chance for me to win.
Whether I win or lose.
I enjoy that too.
It's more like rewarding.
I enjoy that too.
Same.
Yeah.
For sure.
I don't mind playing.
How am I supposed to get better if I'm not playing against better players?
It's my thing.
I agree with that.
100%.
Okay.
Hodge is saying that skill-based matchmaking is there so that what, scrubs can play with scrubs?
No, he's saying that skill-based matchmaking on the on the back end for Activision.
the only reason it's there is because
that's what incentivizes people to stay
on the game. That's what incentivizes
because they look at
the data with skill-based matchmaking
cranked up and then they look at the data
from old school call-of-dutyes like
Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 2
and they say more people
there's more of a retention rate
on current call-a-dudies with
skill-based matchmaking so they have to keep it in.
That's what I just say, which is probably
true. Okay. But it makes it a
miserable experience.
content creators.
For anyone that's good.
Imagine, I mean, I think about like me in high school, I would come back from soccer
practice and I would hop on a few games of MW2 and I'm pretty decent at the time winning
a majority of like free for all lobbies.
Yeah.
Imagine if I get back from a full day at school, soccer practice and I go home and just because
I'm better than the rest of the people, now I can't listen to music and play at the same time.
I have to sound whore my ass off and like literally.
go as hard as possible. I can't play
Call of Duty. I can't play Call of Duty
like a couch game. Time the fuck out.
What do you mean listen to music and play Call of Duty?
In my opinion,
Call of Duty is a couch game.
It's not a
it's not a sweaty
counter strike
Valorant type game. We have to like mute out
everything and just like zone in on.
Like whatever I used to, I used to
you know, play and talk talk with my
high school girlfriend at the same time.
Like this, you know what I mean? Like this and just play
Well, see, that's not I know you didn't have good headset, because I usually just put it in there.
Back in the day, I had the Tritons and shit.
So, like, that's how we used to play, but you can't do that anymore.
It's not a couch game anymore.
For a certain level of people, for the couch gamers, it's a perfect game.
Because they all suck.
So they're all playing each other.
Yeah.
Which, and it's like, I guess, I guess that's good, but, like, it just took what made
Cod, cod out of it.
So that's why.
I'm in the middle with you, though.
Like, I like.
I like the fact that there's a chance to lose.
I like the fact that there's a chance to win.
And people, I think people forget that there was skill-based matchmaking in the old call
of duties.
But it just wasn't as like, it just wasn't as insane as it is now.
Like in MonoWifer 2, it's pretty extreme.
In MonoWher 2, you're not a seventh prestige player playing against a level 1 that just
got in the game.
That's never going to happen.
And if you made, if you ever made a new account on MonoWher 2 and you hopped in, you were,
you realize that because that's
the only time I realized it. It's like I was on a level
one account and I had been playing forever but for
some reason I had to like switch my account.
And I'm only playing with new players. I'm only
I'm not playing with a single prestige player.
So there was skill based matchmaking.
It's just nowadays the
just cranked the MMR. It's it's cranked so much that
it's weird that there's no reward for it.
You're just kind of punished in a way
for the being good.
For the people out there who don't know what MMR is.
What are you saying?
Oh, I don't know what it means.
I don't know what it means, but I know what it is.
It's a rank.
It's like a hidden rank.
It's like Emo.
Yeah, but it's it's a match make.
It's match make rank.
Yeah, it's like your skill.
They have it in your skill level.
I don't know what it.
I don't know what M.R means or E.
Okay, so it was Hutch fighting for skill based matchmaking or against it?
He's fighting for it.
Yeah, matchmaking rating.
Okay, so go back to it.
So he's saying that skill based matchmaking should be a thing.
Should be a thing.
That's that's Hutch has always been pro.
That's the reason.
I, I went back and forth one time with Hutch.
Yeah.
Debating skill-based matchmaking.
And somehow it ended in Lephen, the Super Smash Bros. player, blocking me on Twitter.
Yeah.
So every time, every time on, when a beta comes out and every beta for the last five years.
Yeah.
Because he must have came across the conversation.
Leffin's a smash player.
And smash is so different.
you're only playing one dude.
Yeah.
So you never,
you never want to match with a,
with a bad player.
That would just be boring.
It would be so boring.
So boring.
Yeah,
that is facts.
But also smash players,
like they,
they also don't need,
there's not as many sound cues
or anything like that.
So they just,
they can play with music on
or they can just do,
it's like natural to them.
Yeah.
This is why I wanted it to be brought up.
Why can we all agree
on having a public playlist
with no skill based,
skill based matchmaking,
and a rank playlist with strict skill-based management.
So just rank-play.
That's basically leak play.
Yeah, that's...
That's...
It's just leak-playing pubs, right?
And then Hutch said that's a horrible idea.
That is not a horrible idea.
It's not a horrible idea.
It should always launch if...
I'm never, ever going to play a pub.
The only time I play pubs is when I'm playing war zone.
The only time I'm playing pubs in like in 6V-6s is when the beta's out.
Aside from that, I have never since Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 have...
or three have played a multiplayer, like a public lobby.
Here's how Fall Guys does it.
And I know it's funny to bring Fall Guys into this.
But Fall Guys has a solos, duos, trios, and quads.
Solos duos and trios has MMR built into it.
Quads, any, it's a free for.
Yes, that's good.
There's no skill-based match.
And that's how I think, I don't know what game type you would do it with,
maybe Team Death Match, because that's the most popular game mode.
But I think Team DeathMatch.
that should not have that strict of a skill-based matchmaking.
Now, if you want to do it with these hard points and dominations,
because you're going to, like, depending on how that works,
like, you could put more, like, skill-based matchmaking into those game types.
But I think there should be something that anyone can play casually.
And I see a lot of people saying,
I see a lot of people saying they're like, well, I don't want to be a noob
and then get into a lobby with scump.
and I'm like, okay, say, say you're playing basketball
and for some reason you hop on any court
and every single person that's playing basketball
has a potential to be on that court,
what are the odds you go against LeBron?
I would love to go against LeBron.
I would love to go against LeBron.
One of a scrubby, like, oh my God, it was an honor.
There's probably a billion basketball player,
people that play basketball in the world.
And the odds that you're going to play against an NBA player,
like that's the same odd.
Like, we all played Mono River 2.
We all played Black Ups 2.
I never got into a little.
lobby with scomp wait wait
I never got into a lobby with
with uh stainville like I
never unless it was ranked play
in VO2 in VO2 I got in a league play
lobby I'll never forget this this was so
hype but it was me Seth
Nate and I think
Cap and Big T wasn't on and they were
they were literally trio cute and
ranked and I was on their team
and then it was counting down from nine to one
I swear to God and then somebody
dodging the other team and then everybody you know how you could
like dodge last second and then it was show everybody left
And it would show like you have seven out of eight players.
Then everybody started leaving them like, no.
I know it would have been your shot.
Dude, I was like, no way.
This is a try right here.
I could have got it on the team.
But I look and I took a picture of the recent players.
Because you know, on Xbox, you could see like they're all in your lobby.
And I literally took a picture all their accounts like a fan.
Oh, I was like, dude.
Dude, how crazy is it that somebody found that clip?
Yeah.
And then Nate, or because, yeah, it was on Nate stream, wasn't it?
Yeah, somebody was streaming it.
And it was literally three seconds.
They're in the lobby.
They're in the lobby, they see my tag.
They see my tag.
Somebody found that clip.
after he, in Black Ups 4, when he got put on,
when he got put on Optic,
someone found that clip and said,
yo, this is it in the first time
he's played with Optic before.
How did someone find that?
That's crazy.
That is, like, it's got to be from one of Nades,
like, old streaming wits and shit.
I don't even know, like, stream was a thing, though, that time.
Listen, and Black Ops 2, if there was a gameplay
and everybody was live.
That shit was crazy.
Nobody played that unless they were live.
I was such an Xbox.
I just looked at it, like, Xbox Live.
I don't know if I told this.
I probably have, but like a long time ago before I even playing Cod, like I had, I think it was PS3.
Obey, Dashy.
That's your name.
You're right here.
I'm like, you can't just roast me.
I'm like the game is starting.
You can't roast me for the Omerita shit.
My heart was mean.
Yo, what happened?
Yo, my heart was so.
Wait, he roast sniper clan shit.
Wait, I was in Obey.
Like, what was I?
It was a sniper.
Yeah, but you were on the competitive team.
It's different.
Okay, I remember the game of starting, my heart was beating so fast.
I'm like, this is it.
I'm like, Big D, I'm digging his father.
Like, flex, I could do flex.
You already knew what it was going to be like?
Wait, did you snipe in league play back then?
Yeah, I did.
I figured you.
Sometimes I snipped in with the, wait, but was it an unscoped Arisaka?
No, I used a ballista.
Yeah, the ballista on scoped, ballista?
No, I use the scope.
Oh, quick scoping.
Got to use the scope.
Yeah.
It's just like, it looks like.
If you ever want to, if you, back then, I would have told you if you want to take it to the next level, on scoped that shit.
Yeah, no, you love Don't Scope.
Onscope.
Onsides, that's Hector's shit.
No, what does Blake call it?
A wooden plank with a, what does he call the wooden guns?
He hates the, God, fucking.
Who does?
Blake.
Blake hates World War games.
Same.
I cannot stand it.
It's just like, I love the Arcadee.
He's like, if I ever see a wooden gun in Call of Duty ever again, because I tried to get him to play whenever.
I love the world at war
Oh Battalion
I tried to get him to play Battalion
Whenever it went free to play
And he was like I would if it wasn't for the if they if there wasn't wooden guns
Yeah I get it but I mean if if he would have gave it a shot and not been like this is what I do as Blake
I think he would have had a lot of fun because that game is fucking did you ever play it dashy
Battalion? Yeah I played it a little bit with with our G014
Cue my montage I'm kidding
Do that this is I'm going to tell you something about that game had so much potential
This is what this is what I want okay
When I played Battalion in 1944, it was the first time in, call it, a decade almost, that I wanted to make a sniper montage out of it.
Yeah.
But even the sniper montage was not like the way that you see it now where it's like you go for quad feeds.
It's all about like smart plays and that.
But the way that I, my screen name was Al Sweringen.
Oh no, E. B. Farnum.
E. Farnham.
E. Farnham?
E. No. E. Okay. Is E. Farnham?
From Deadwood?
Told you to watch Deadwood.
You told me to watch it.
Yeah, you told me to watch it.
But I made it like the intro was.
was, hey, Matt, bring it up real quick.
It's on Twitter.
The intro was the character from the show, E.B. Farnham, in one of the funniest scenes I felt.
So that was my intro.
He was like, E.B. Farnham, how do you do?
And then Charlie Otter, who is, what's his name?
Bad boy, Bill, Wild Bill, Wild Bill.
From the old and Western days?
Wild Bill. Billie the Kid?
Billy the Kid.
Yes.
Okay.
Billy the Kid.
You never heard of Billy a Kid.
I mean, I've heard.
What about Jesse James?
Yes.
Dude.
I've heard of him, Matt.
That one right there.
So, anyway, I had so much fun of this because it was a good sniping.
It was good S&D.
That's E.B. Farnham.
Play aloud.
E.B. Farnham, how do you do?
Joliotta.
You got some mighty, clammy hands there, partner.
Damn palms running my family.
All right, that's enough, Matt.
What's dope?
Wait, this is the actual montage?
Yeah.
You gotta watch it.
It's fucking sick.
In it?
Here, move to the little bit to where it says a three-peat or three-piece?
Damn, he said hopefully.
Yeah, I did.
Lino.
Desert Siege.
Dude, this game looks on, bro.
All right.
Wait, what happened in this game?
Because I remember in B-O-4, our whole team was grinding except for me.
I remember Damon.
Ian, Seth, and Teach, they were literally, they could not get off.
No, no, no.
I think Loki it got too sweaty too fast.
I have a, I have Swiz.
I have Fis in here.
Fis saying he's like, I got a three piece.
And he's like, oh, man, just give him the snipe.
That's it.
But in Fis is such a, well, this is keyboard and mouse.
Don't fucking give me too much credit.
Oh, this one is to turn it up, turn it up.
Back up and turn it up.
Wee, way.
I like this one because Fis, obviously, one of the most legendary commentators in
Call it, fucking history, one of the greatest voices.
Yeah.
And now is the CEO of Polygon in the future?
Trillion dollar company.
this is why this turn it up and play that shit I mean well you're kind of loose on
mouse and key wait it's so easy this is not the same way it was so good I love
that shit I love that clip because of this guy I mean look don't don't don't
don't give me too much credit I think it's I think it's it looks like Cod and
CS like in one I'm saying it's fire oh it's so good so you could still have that
like that like kind of loose play stuff
Still the tactical side of like see yeah
Was it I can't remember was it an economy system for this game or was it that too? Yeah
Was it classes I know it was no it was it was economy I think it was economy or something
I can't remember if it was like pro mod when you can only you can only and and it was good about this is that the Elo ranking on this was really
Fucking good too yeah so what was people so play it the the the the player base just they they weren't there oh oh I remember what it was it was it was 20 bucks
Isn't that what it was it wasn't
free to play. I think that was the biggest.
I feel like they shouldn't be because Cod's like $80.
Yeah, but yeah, but Cod's also.
Cod. Yeah. And this was this.
Oh, oh yeah, this is on PC. No, this is a this is a PC.
Yeah, he's saying there wasn't a console. So in in this was like whenever this came out whenever
this came out whenever fortnight was like taking over. So I remember Iron Sight, no, not IronSight.
Uh, islands of nine came out. Yeah. And this came out relatively at the same time. And neither one of
of them were free to play.
Not done yet.
Not done yet.
Look at this diffuse.
Damn.
Somebody buy this game.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to go home and play this.
I want to buy this game.
I want to buy this game.
I want to buy the IP to this game.
Somebody call me.
The promo guy.
Yeah.
I like those guys.
I want to buy the IP for this game.
I like those developers a lot that made,
that made this game and we're working on promo.
I hear like the genius move.
I bounce the grenade off of the
roof.
Oh, man.
I want to play this when I go on.
I kind of want to play this
when I go on.
Yeah, that could be pretty.
They did.
Bro, it is.
It is such a good game.
Anyway, why the hot?
I'm waiting for that
E-sports boxing club game to come out.
Or, yeah.
You saw that on Twitter?
They're like Adam Fighters.
She looks crazy.
No, okay.
What did we get on this?
I forgot.
Oh, wooden weapons?
Wooden weapons.
But before that?
Skill-based.
Skill-based matchmaking?
I can't remember.
I can't remember.
Hey, welcome to a typical
Outtic podcast where we just
go on rants like that.
one. Oh shit. Um, yeah, I'm, I mean, I don't know. Let's, uh, let's, let's, let's, let's,
yeah, I did when it on PC. I fucked with it. I mean, I like it. Yeah, I, it was cool.
Yeah. What about you? I liked it, but it was kind of, I feel like I have a theory with skill
based. Like, so after like two, three hours of me just dominating, you know what I mean? Like,
it was insane out our force. And then, like, after just chunk, because I was playing with
Valer, like a couple of Valham pros. And after like four hours in, because they're like,
Not good at all and I'm hosting and they are getting they hated the game like by the end they were like bro this game started I'm like bro like I'm gonna be honest like these kids are sly canceling these kids are doing kids
They were like they were getting a really bad like experience event and I just like I was so hard
No he's against touch I noticed I was I noticed it when the kids are going so hard and I was like bro like I have to like
He just said that even pro players coming into this game don't have fun playing it no because they're playing it because they're playing because they're playing skill based match making yeah hutch love skill based matchmaking
He's against hutch yeah
But what I'm saying what I'm saying like he's like what yeah like I'm looking at it from from a new player perspective
Saying so yeah like it's unless I play people my grade level. I don't want to play is this boring to get my shit
I did I did feel bad towards the end because I was like bro like this is like because like they don't know how good like those kids are like
Like because they're like bro the what like this game is kind of like I don't know what's going on these kids are like they like they like they're so way
I was like bro now trust me these guys are like radiance in your end you know what I'm saying like but which is dumb because there's
no skill there's no ranks yeah so you're you're just playing they should not they should not
like play with me and then just be like yo this like sucks like we can't like imagine i'm going
into like a spike rush and it's just like and then i'm playing gods they're they're like five
shouting i'm like there's like five hitting the ultimate orb to like you know what i mean like
you had strats like i see both sides i see the side of like i don't know like i feel like i should
be able to play with them but not get punished because like i'm so good you know what i'm saying
like but at the same time like it should i mean i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't
what the problem is.
Just release fucking rank play at the same time as casual.
And then just let the casuals get lucky or unlucky.
Because I cannot play pubs at all.
Me either,
I'll play for free just as long as it's like,
let me chase something.
Yeah.
Like,
you know what I gotta chase something.
Some sort of rank.
Or might as well somebody like him play robots.
Even if you put the rank,
even if you put the rank in pubs,
I don't give a fuck.
Because then at least I could,
I'd want to win.
Yeah.
There's no incentive to win.
That's the other thing, right?
Like, why don't you give, if skill best matchmaking is here to stay,
I want you to put an emblem that says how good they are.
Instead of, yeah, instead of your prestige, yeah.
Just have your prestige emblem, have it be how good you are.
Yeah, and you can, and you should do that at the end of the match where they appear what it is.
That way you don't back out and have that issue.
That's why Valor is so addicting because everyone is chasing the same goal.
One, it's radium, but once you hear radio, you're trying to hit number one,
everybody can see your rank.
So like before you get into a lobby, you could see someone's previous act ranked before it load.
So like you could like like almost like like tag it on your like profile whatever.
What do you mean?
So like as the lobby's learning, you see like the five players like all their agents, right?
But then all you could see their past ranks in like that.
So then like before the lobby loads, you could see this guy was 37 last actor or 1,000, you know what I'm saying?
Like whatever.
But then I remember one time I played cryo and he was rank one and it looks so final.
He spawned in.
I was like, who is this chamber?
He spawned in. I swear to God, this guy actually scarred me.
A main on split got an ace, and he was ranked one.
And then I remember I was playing with Sam and Derek, and then Sam said,
this guy's cheating.
And I was like, and I was like, I kind of believe it's like, wait.
That's probably way, this guy's rank one.
He probably just hacked his way to number one.
But I didn't know was cryo.
And they were like trolling about it.
And then he dropped 30 in the first half of split offense.
The first half?
Yeah.
Scarred me.
I was like, this guy's got.
I've never played split.
But then like ever since that up, like my nerd side came out.
I was like rank one.
Like I actually like, I want to grind for that.
That's why I rage every day.
I'm like, bro, I can't like, it's impossible to grind with it.
I just remember that like, that, because the first ranked system I ever played was blockups two.
And like, you get like the master shit pops up and you're like, oh, it's such a flex.
I missed that.
Fucking master, bro.
But cod needs something like that where it's, it's just like one, like you could flex like a like your rank or something.
And I think they even need it in war zone as well.
Like, do you ever, did you ever play H1, H1, for a little bit about it?
So like H1Z1 there was there was a ranked system in.
that and so if you if you if you killed a dude and it would show up in the kill feed and you could see
his ranked right next to it yeah so wait that's so cool bro if you can click on one of those i can't
remember the names like little stuff like this is oh yeah really all you need i feel like royalty i remember
yeah because you'd be like oh yeah i'm royalty yeah because think about cod back in a day was the same
thing like your prestige nine and then you'd like think about a week two of a cot if you saw someone like
you saw seven dude you'd be like oh my god exactly this is this one
guy's ahead. I know. And that'd be enough to be like, wait, that's a flex for the entire month.
Oh, yeah. Yeah, diamond platinum. I was, I was only ever diamond. I was never like a master and royalty.
See, that shit's fire. Age 1 Z1 did it seven years ago. Like, it's, I was no one doing this.
Yeah. It's because I feel like every cod was doing it, but they just stopped doing it for some reason.
That's the fun part about Apex too. It's like the rank, dude. If there was no rank play in Apex, it would be.
I think a half the game it is now.
The same thing with like,
less than that maybe.
Valor and same thing.
I would not touch the game if there was no reason.
If the ranking system wasn't as good as it was too,
like the way they did it is literally just like pulling people back in like,
okay, yeah, you're radium, but you're 400 radiant.
Is that really what you mean to them?
It's like, damn, I'm trying to get like top 100.
Every time, like you can only get like,
whenever I started playing tournaments and cod,
like that's when like the fucking dopamine started coming in or like wages and shit.
But like in Val,
you don't even have to do anything.
You just,
you play a DM to warm,
up played one or two DMs and you're like shit I'm about to play like rank like
yeah yeah yeah yeah like happy like oh shit I'm about to like compete yeah yeah yeah
but cod it's like if they just I feel like they just got to just copy paste like some
things that they did back in the day let me text I'm gonna I'm gonna fucking again what
happened at prestigious I'm at prestigious I'm at DM this dude what happened to
prestige like can I do like that's like what
what happened to them is it not the most what happened who did they
is that not the most iconic thing ever for God prestige
Prestaging in time.
Yeah, why?
Where did it go?
When you used to get like level 55 or 70 or, it was different every college.
Not only that, but think about, okay, look, from a cultural perspective, as you're looking at Call of Duty as a culture phenomenon, which it was, what was it that made Call of Duty dope?
Okay, you know that November 9th, you have to get off of work and you got to go take a shower, get some food, and then go wait in line.
Because you got at 12 o'clock is going to come out.
So that whole thing, the thing about it, you're talking shit with people like, oh, man,
You know, call it duty community.
The actual community.
It was cool.
One.
He's like, he's like, how quickly did you complete 10th prestige last time?
He's like, oh, dude, I did in like a week and a half.
I had work and this and the other.
Okay, boom.
All right.
So now you have the established setting.
Community.
Goal.
Right.
10th prestige.
And then what happened?
Gold guns.
A lot of stuff.
Thank you.
It got amplified even farther further.
It got amplified even further by creators who were doing the race to prestige.
Yeah.
Shout out.
Everyone's getting involved.
Yeah, shout out,
shout out the,
what would they call the Bayside boys?
I can't remember.
Those,
those boys were nasty.
Every year they would get it.
Who?
Are you talking about that,
Timor?
That clan?
No, no,
you're talking about the,
the,
oh, you're talking about the race.
The gamer house.
What was like,
with like Hutch and them?
Yeah,
yeah, it was Hutch and Nanners and all them.
It wasn't Nanners and all them.
It wasn't Nanners either.
No.
Jericho?
Jericho.
See, I used to watch,
I used to watch those
at school, like in high school.
Because they would be live 24-7.
Raised to prestige and also some prestigious go away.
Why?
I don't know.
It's the most iconic thing of God.
It's like systematically.
They are removing the cool shit out of it.
I never understood
why the fuck they got.
Like a casual talk to you and they'll be like
your max prestige.
Like that's their way of knowing if you're nasty.
They don't say, yo, you're a challenger.
They don't fucking, I'm saying.
And now you're playing Black Ops 4.
Like Blake and I were talking about this the other day.
Now you're playing Blackups 4 and you don't even know
if anyone's like a different prestige.
And there's somebody in there that's
level 9,000 or something.
And you're like, is that God?
I don't even know.
How did you get there?
Yeah, it's not a, I just, I, I, the, the 10th prestige shit was so dope.
Oh dope.
And in, and in, in, in, in Mono Warfare 3, they'd made it 10th prestige.
And then they were like, shit.
A lot of people hit 10 prestige.
So then they added 10 more.
Yeah, but like, then they added from gold to diamond guns.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, like the, like, that's what I kind of did with like the obsidian shit.
And think about M2 is, bro, MW2 is actually so ahead the more I think about it.
There's little dust.
Look at a prestige emblems, man.
Look, dude, I swear to God the procedures back in the day from like Cod 4 to
to Mono for 2 to Black Ops 1.
Bill 1 as hard.
Beal 1 as hard.
Beal 2.
We have some good ones.
Yeah.
Byron 2.
These two, oh my dude, they were like, I swear to God like you do have people that
would stop at like seven.
You know what I'm saying?
They'd be like, not seven was like that's my or five.
I was I was for siege eight, Blake was nine and George was 10.
And then we all stopped.
On MW 2, there is, because you could like,
get into those modern lobbies and pick your prestige out.
Then I remember the ninth one was so far.
Oh, right.
Yeah.
I bought an account with a 10 prestige also.
Yeah.
I bought one.
I was like, I got work, man.
I'm like, at the time.
I'm like, I'm 24.
I got to pay bills and shit.
I love the World That War one.
So there were procedures in Blackups Four?
I just remember, I don't remember why.
I remember saying Poirja's screen and he was level of.
The first year, they just started like after Prestige 10, I think.
They just made it so like, you could just go to like.
That one.
That one.
That one.
Yeah.
That's World that War.
That's World of War.
Damn, these are so...
Fire, bro.
When you got to 10th was fire,
red next to me.
Why?
You know why you like 10th proceeds?
Because it was red,
and there was more color than all this dull-ass shit.
But it would just stick out in the preview.
That game was so fire.
You just feel in the lobby with someone.
I love that game.
See, right here, I would have stopped at number five.
Number five.
Nah.
It was either stopped.
I'm stopping at...
People stopped at, like, first...
I'm stopping at 8.
I'm starting.
I'm talking at 6 through 9.
Like, either one.
Fifth, I can move that eight bit.
Stoic.
I just, I remember, like, in Black Ops 1,
playing it and like the first week came out
and I saw someone fourth prestige
and it's like a it's like an eagle talon
bro it's a flex bro it's insane
oh fifth prestige I remember seeing one of those in a lobby
and I was like holy
Oh shit I forgot about these
These might be the best one
That's Blackups one
What's number five?
It's like a talon like a eagle call yeah it is
Wait be a one one like kind of hard
What the fuck?
Oh my god I was looking at 10 like a moron
Oh what is 10 oh it's a black widow
I think wait I think MW2 might have been ahead of its time or I think about it you would be like master procedures and you two people to gold cross like it was it was so it was so it was so you'd be like bro wait I need to get that so yeah people did play for the little bro like the like the moving shit bro it was so hard yeah the titles and shit
it's so weird because I keep hearing I keep hearing that Activision has all this data and like that's why they make all their that's why they make all their decisions
But every time I talk to someone
They remember the old days
That's what I'm saying
I'm like I swear it doesn't it's not just our community
Oh my God the calling cards
It's not like like
Okay, that shit was fire
That shit was fire
The Mono War for like the first half of the year
Was really good
Like right now I used to rock the Mexican one
First decade it was 20 different
First decade is still going
Like look at this you could get a goal bro
This game was insane
Like you could say
I'm the master of the scar
You know what I'm saying?
in gold. I used the moving like caution
bro. Look at all these titles. I swear every
page had fire titles and you would like
So hello my name is that's some graffiti shit
And they were all they were all in like the
The gamer book what was it called?
The title of them
No the book that you could buy
The art booklet right? Yeah like the big guide
The guy yeah the gamer guide or whatever
Strategy guide that's what you're all
All of these are in the strategy guide
So you look it up like if you want
one and he tells you how to get it
And then you go get it or then you're like
You have to get 900 kills and capture the flag.
You have to get a two piece of noop tube.
Yeah, right, exactly.
So then you go and you try to get all the,
like whatever emblems you want it.
This is my favorite part.
This is like my underrated favorite part
about MW2 is like the title of emblems.
I love like making a combo that went so good with each other.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like George and I go in and we're matching and shit.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like, you back on it is so cranny.
But like at the time, we're all matching.
These are like the first ones you get, I think.
And then there'd be one that match
with it, but it wasn't the same title.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
There's one that was friends with benefits, but there's none of those
enemies with benefits.
And you'd be like, whoa, it's like a dude of a duo, but what's like,
it's a little more evil.
Bro, Calduri, Modern Warfare, this one had a booklet that came with it.
An art book, like a small one.
A tiny little one.
You know what I'm talking about?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bro, I cannot find it.
I've looked on eBay.
It goes in like the Hardin case, right?
Yeah, the Hardin case, yeah.
Oh, wait.
Is that what's called Hardin?
Hardin?
I don't know if Codd4 had like a steel book.
No, I don't think so either.
Because I think those started in...
But, bro, it was so sick.
My brother and I, we had a fan.
One of the first.
And they're like, hey, he's like,
yo, can you guys sign or autograph something to send it to us?
This was like fucking early, early, early, early days.
Nah, man, it was a Modern Warfare.
It was like, Mono Warfare won the first one.
Yeah, that one.
Yeah, the art of Caldry for.
Bro, it was so legit.
Anyway, me and my brother did tags in them,
like in white market.
It looked so sick.
And I was like, I should have done that.
I should have fucking kept that shit.
Yeah.
My brother has a, a call duty for cereal box.
What?
Yes.
Wow.
That's on a fire.
Look it up, man.
Yeah, Mono Warfare, serial box?
It's sick.
He had to go like, distort again?
He still has it.
No, Mono Warfare for.
Cut for.
Modern Warfare.
It may not be, I mean, it's a cereal box.
Yeah.
No, but it's still cool.
Wait, that's still like.
I don't know.
I'll send you a picture, Matt,
that you can put it in the,
you can put it in the thing door.
It's that like...
Yeah, don't worry about looking for it.
But yeah, bro, it was...
What game was it?
Did they stop doing the procedures?
It had been after B.O.4.
I think I...
Dude, like, I think M.W. 2020 kind of...
I don't want to say it killed, like, multiplayer cop, but it kind of did.
Because if you think about a gunsmith came out, like...
The gun dog...
Dynamic aim assist, doors, like...
The tax sprint.
Should I call David Vonterhar?
We need...
Dude...
Did I ask him?
That's where they lose me on that shit, because I don't know nothing about that.
like all the weird set I don't want to do that
there's so much settings I really don't
I'm telling you MW just made it like it doesn't feel
like caught anymore like to an extent
well we gotta talk about bro how insane is like
well to me bro they were like tell me
yo accept this invite and bro I'm like clicking
back back back back back up
I'm like what the fuck
on the new menu
oh it's insane
WUI is one of the
whatever happened to Xbox you invite someone
bang bang
you see the notification pop up you press one button
and you're in the lobby
Bro.
Dude, that was insane, bro.
I'm like, yeah.
Going back.
No, when you log in, you have to scroll down.
Yeah, you have to scroll down.
And then to start the game, you got to click X and you're sitting there talking, like,
someone's like, yo, did you start?
I'm like, I clicked that.
And you got to click OK to start it?
I'm like, what?
Yes, yes.
You have to say, are you sure?
Yeah, I'm fucking sure.
I'm not getting a tattoo.
Yeah.
It's like you can get me the fucking game.
The other thing is, on that is that, one, you have to scroll down.
And what they do is they trick you.
They trick you because instinctively, you're just going to press X too long.
No, it sent you to the store. Yeah, it sends you to the store. Matt, can you pull up the monower for a three main menu?
Like the multiplayer main menu? Bro, it was so simple. Or even just the regular main menu.
Multiplayer campaign and then some wish like special ops or I don't know like or zombies or whatever
You know what I'm saying? Why not that look how simple it looks why not that? How beautiful it quit made menu
Credits for like the gas they want tipping you know what I mean? Yeah, the devs
The ones that like right here play online split screen
land party like that's the multiplayer thing and then you hit play online and then it says what you
everything was so quick easy it was play online you wait two seconds you're there it's like okay
i can make my classes now i don't get it it seems like in every aspect of call of duty they took
out the simplicity and that's what people fucking loved about cod yeah yeah grab a gun and you go shoot
people yeah like that was it now it just feels like battlefield it actually feels like battlefield now
i swear it does dude i hopped on the beta i said bro like
The graphics look insane, yeah, but like...
A beautiful game.
But the thing is...
MonoRefair 2019, I think, is the prettiest God game.
Even this one that's coming out, like, that one map, the one in California, like that theme.
It looks super cool.
It looks nice.
Yeah, it's like in the hills kind of.
But the thing is, like, it looks super nice, but the way...
It doesn't have that like Cod Arcady feel like...
Like FPS to it.
I don't know.
The character feels like...
It feels like...
It does.
It just feels like it's supposed to be like a visual like...
Like gas over, you know what I'm something?
Yeah.
now it's weird because the regular spru because of tax printing like tax
sprints feel so damn fast and now regular sprint feels like you're walking on
with concrete on your feet yeah if we were to play like mw2 i would be like bro this
it's just the flow and i swear to god like why why why is it why why cancel reload why
bro why why there's the big thing why why not only that iconic thing of caught also
think about it everyone's like why it's like mw2 trick-shodding you know what
We're taking out everything.
Get out.
Why?
Who was asking, oh, man, you know what it'll make this game better?
Playing Cold War?
They were like, man, I wish I could, if every time I reloaded, my gun jammed.
Dude, I tweeted that out.
I swear they want to just kill everything about 10 years ago.
I'm like, no more Y, why, why?
And I forgot to put Y, why, why cancel reload.
And Pabalaj is like, I was Y Y in the entire time at the phone.
Show ass up.
You know what I meant.
You know, you know what I meant.
Yeah.
That is that.
Reloads take forever, too.
Nah, I don't know.
Like, some of the things they're doing it is very, like, I don't know.
It's like they're doing it for no reason.
I feel like.
Character got a little lean to it.
No one's complaining about half the things they're doing, but they just still.
Was there a game in which, let me ask you this.
Was there a game in which if I'm shooting and I jump and slide while holding on my trigger, like it's still shot even as I slid?
Isn't that gunhole?
Isn't that a gunhole?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, like you could do that, but you can't aim in.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bro, why is that mechanic not a thing?
Because now what I, what I get caught doing is, is,
jumping around the corner, shooting, and all of a sudden I hit a slide, and then I'm just like,
slide and kill me.
And I know you're sliding.
It's like you're just looking at your death because you can't even, I'm like, bro.
Yeah, you can't even.
What did we talked about it?
I talked about it last week with Seth and, and, uh, and what did you like about it?
But between you two, because you guys are both very competitive, especially in the S&D scene,
what do you guys think about dead silence?
You need it.
Yeah.
You need like something, bro, it's, it, caught is not like, like, any.
other FPS because it's kind you can't just like you know I'm saying like it's not like
Val or CS where you can kind of just you don't have that utility and like teammates I enjoy
bro I enjoy like normal normal like well what game there I like I like modern or the yeah
Cod4 remake that one because because you are yeah and if you climb they heard you there was
like little things right if you fell off a ladder a little bit they'd hear like little shit like
that is cool cold wars like that too yeah little shit like that is
Cool, I like it like that, but like, I don't know.
But like the thing is, in Cold War, if you have, did y'all win Deaddy and respawn?
I can't remember.
Cold War?
Yeah.
See, in, like, imagine, imagine Shotsie trying to hold their, like, everybody's fighting around
the plane and checkmate.
Shotsie tries to hit a flank.
And that's the play of the game.
Hits a flank, gets a two-piece.
They get Hill control, you know, last second.
Yeah, it eliminates that.
You can't do that.
You cannot make a, you cannot make that X factor play if there's no dead silence, because that's what it's, that's what Cod's been built around.
If you could sound horn respond, you can, it's an issue.
Because like you, the fact that, because in B04, you get sound horror, right?
But it wasn't, no one would use dead silence and respond.
Same thing in B02, for example.
And no one really, you get sound horrid, but it wasn't really like every single life.
And you wouldn't notice it like, dude.
No one used dead silence and respawn in in Blackups two.
Same thing in B03, B0.
So like, like, it's like, I feel like deadie should be a thing.
Oh yeah.
I don't know, brother.
Yeah, people were using it.
Dexterity, extreme conditioning.
But in search, you used dead sounds.
Like, because the footsteps weren't, the footsteps in this game are ridiculous.
They sound like the original monoford.
No, it's unbelievable.
It's unbelievable.
It is a beta, so hopefully they can fix it.
But from what I saw, S&D was fun from what I saw, except for the fucking dead silence issue.
Yeah.
Everyone should have the ability to make a play on dead silence to have some sort of, at least,
like drama like can he pull it off
can it not what is the game some sort of
strategy behind it's not
everybody gets it like it's not
no one someone hates dead silence
because you did you see the clip where if you pop dead silence
you can hear it no
yeah it sounds like a fucking bro like if you pop
dead silence like a whistle
pull out a radio and it goes
damn I think he's flanking me
there's a clip where a dude's like
looking this way and the guy pops dead silence
to go assassinate him like trying to make a good play
and he hears the radio
go off so he just turns around and shoots him.
Yeah.
It's like why.
Somebody hates dead silence.
I didn't try any of the classes.
I tried sniping on the last couple of once and I don't know.
Whatever.
What I'm saying is I didn't go into like all the guns and I didn't try to like I just
played with whatever it was given to me for the beta because it wasn't going to be that good.
Let's take a quick commercial break.
Matt, what do you think there, buddy?
What's up guys?

Thank you guys so much for listening to the mini podcast segment within the podcast.
I'm sure you guys are so sad that it's over.
But let's get back to the other podcast that you guys were watching prior to this one.
At least Van, at least Bangor gave us Ninja last second.
And it was completely daddy, to be honest.
What, last year?
Yeah, Vanger was, it was, like, it was really daddy, though.
Like, it was scary daddy.
Like, oh, yeah, you want daddy?
We'll give you daddy.
Yeah, that's what I want.
I want to be completely silent.
I'd rather, I'd rather completely silent than literally this.
Like, you know what I mean?
Right.
Some pit of pattern.
That's how Black Ops 4.
And if you were really close to somebody in Black O'clock, you would hear them.
Yeah.
Same thing, MW2.
Like, MW2, if you ran in a bush, it would make sound.
Right.
So you have to, whenever you're,
whenever you're trying to clutch 1V3, you have to
run around the bushes.
Yeah.
Which is,
yeah.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Run around the bush.
Don't climb if you know they're near you because they'll hear the climb.
It makes like a right.
Like an Mdbt or something with the sound.
Like it was like a.
See, but that all that kind of shit also creates like you could fake climb.
Like right.
Right.
Because now it's like you can't fake a foot stuff.
What do we think about the mantel stuff?
Like obviously we didn't talk about like you'd climb and then that's it and then you
peak and then you can shoot.
Yeah.
Like I what it?
Bro.
Why, right?
I was, I hopped on the base.
I hopped on like I was trying to parkour I was trying to hop on like top of like a second sort of roof and my guy just sat there like spider man I was like
You got to press it twice. Yeah I was like what is this bro?
I was like how many inputs do they want us to put? I'm like chat how do I change a setting bro?
Oh yeah no that's that's bad too
I guess so many settings right that that's not going anywhere though that's a core mechanic
The climb shit the climb shit's not yeah, wait tell me and my chat's like yo yeah you gotta go to say good got to go partial off off
I'm like partial off off like
yeah I don't want to do that
What is this model combat?
Yeah, the thing there is like they should give that as an option for those who want to go and do that.
Yeah, that's a new feature that has to be optional.
Exactly.
Yeah, it's not the way it thinks are, yeah.
But it's just like, remember when they, in model warfare and then again in Vanguard,
where they added like when you're on a ladder and you could shoot while you're on the ladder, that's what they're doing.
But you can just do it on any ledge.
Yeah, any ledge.
Any ledge.
Any ledge you can shoot off of them.
I will say this.
Dude, imagine Sellyum this year.
He's gonna be fucking...
Guys gonna be like on like behind this desk, like one hand.
Like, just like...
Just like...
I'm like, wait, what pro?
We gotta GA that, no?
Yeah, when they said slide canceling was gone,
I was like, all right, cool, awesome.
Not that I ever slide canceled,
nor that I care when people try to slide cancel against me.
They got gone down regardless.
But when Shotsie did all this combination,
I was not, I'm not some nerd ass shit.
I mean, that's what it takes now.
What, to be a mega nerd?
To be...
to play at that level, you gotta do that shit.
I'm telling you the reason why Cod is,
it just looks insane now with all the slide canceling
is because of how strong the aim assist is
and how fast the guns are killing.
So now everyone just has to learn how to move crazy.
I have to, I have the only person
in the beta who thought that it takes too long
to kill people.
I would stop shooting them
because I'm like, oh, that's enough bullets.
My fucking, let me spread the well.
I don't know what gun you were using.
They started making like pre-fire games.
Like, you gotta keep, like,
if you hear someone, they're,
like, you might as well keep,
you kill that person and keep shooting.
Oh yeah, other person you think it's gonna come.
Dude, I feel like cause just got a, I don't know,
like this is gonna sound like too much,
but I know they're never gonna do this,
but I feel like if they nerve like the aim assist,
it would actually change a lot about.
Or just take dynamic out.
Because I feel like, dude, like,
dynamic is a cheat code.
It's literally in AI.
I'm next level with dynamic, bro.
It's an aim bond, bro.
It's an actual aim bond.
And I've always said, I'm like, bro,
we need a GA, like dynamic in the league
because I'm like, bro, this thing is insane.
Everyone looks like they have the best gunny ever.
And it's like, bro.
It makes every cod just look like a point and click.
You know what I'm saying?
Like everyone's got like a vandal basically.
Everyone's just one tapping.
And it takes no skill, but I don't know.
Like back in the day, if you saw somebody with a good shot, it was more.
It was very impressive.
Yeah.
You just knew the guy was a grinder.
But now it's just like, nah, the guy has dynamic on.
So it's like cool.
Like when you saw those like, those like shooters like back in the day, like the actual like the proofies and the claysters and like and that.
Like when formal came on the scene, people were like, I've never seen a shot like that.
Yeah.
What the hell?
That's what I mean.
And now everyone shoots like that.
That's what it seems like.
Yeah.
But if they nerve for like the Amosis overall, like, I feel like, I don't know.
Like it's tough to say, but it's just all the, like, this extra stuff about slack canceling and tax burning.
Like, I feel like all of it would kind of go away because no one's really shooting that good.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
And in a more like better way.
I don't know.
I'm not trying to say like everyone's shooting zigs, but like, I feel like everyone dying in a bullet,
killing kind of like the TTC is kind of cool.
Dude, everyone's killing a bullet.
No fix that, though.
Do you think so?
I mean, yeah, I mean, it's insane
It's really crazy
Like the scar with no attachments
Yeah, the one shot head shot or something shit like that
Whatever is a single fire
You get one shot head shot two shot body
And now you can't even camera anybody
Because slide cancelling's out
So you have to Bhop around
But they can hear you stomping
And everyone's framing sound horn
You're dynamic bro
Like no one's missing
Like just pop pop pop up
My grandma's probably ripping me off a heavy one
Like one of these beta games I swear
Don't even notice it
I will say there
I think there's a lot of positives about the game.
There is no, no, no.
And that's why that's why I get so passionate about the few things that they changed
is because the bones of this game are so strong.
The happiest thing I saw was the green dot.
I'm like, hey, green dot.
Yeah.
The red dots are, right?
The game was fun to play, though.
Because, like, I think the gun fights feel great.
I think the gun play feels great.
I think it just needs a higher time to kill.
And just a few settings.
Have we ever played it?
Dog.
I didn't even think about this.
Imagine control now with no dead silence
It's never been played
And control
Rumor
Rumor is the third game type is control
Not not uh
Not domination
Or CTF I heard yeah gotta be CTO
Imagine CTF with no dead silence
It's even worse
It's even worse
CTF with the guy
Because then you have 7.5 respond
Like people are gonna be camping
The hostage
That's CTF
You think we're playing prison rescue
Oh yeah
As the CTF game
Prison Rescue that's way too trolley
I was dapping the guy up.
I was the guy.
I'm like,
wait,
this is my objective.
I'm like,
I can't try, Chad.
There's no way.
We got to play.
We got to play Dom.
I was mega impressed
when you were able to climb something
with some dude on your back
and still shoot and jump and
and slide.
I'm like,
damn.
You're sliding with this dude?
I'm like,
my guy's a baby.
I'm like,
he hopping's so fucking military-aged male.
I'm like,
damn, I don't have like some weight.
I don't know.
I'm still like running around tax printing or
you hopping?
Yo,
I don't know if I've ever asked
like pro pro pro pro.
is like whenever the game comes out is are the game modes already made like for CDLs or do y'all like scrim different game modes for the most part s and hp have always been there so we never really had to so like usually the map three is like sometimes like last year wasn't there so we were playing just HP scrims only for the first two months of the year right oh my god i forgot about about that so we just rerun against the same time remember control came out and it was broken at first and people would spawn off the map dude it was so trolly like i forgot about that shit yeah so like it was it was it was
I think Vanguard was the only year like that.
Yeah, it was for sure.
So they added that in to be competitive, which, you know,
they forced it kind of.
Thank God they did.
But like, no, they like, it was good.
But yeah, it was.
Off the rip, they kind of just like, well, we need something.
Because I don't remember the last time, like, a cod came out.
And like, we didn't know the third game type.
So, like, people were just scrimming whatever to find out what the best one was.
Because I feel like we, I feel like that is a, that's something that we never do in cod is we never,
we never find the best thing.
Like, we just kind of like, are like,
Like, oh shit, that works.
Let's play it all year.
But like, in some games, there were definitely some DLC maps that should have been played, in my opinion, especially in MW.
In MW, you have all the old school maps.
You have crash.
You have vacant.
How is Ramosa?
And we're still playing Hackney Yard 5V5 domination.
It's insane.
And I'm like, there's got to be, like, why is no one, I don't know if no one was ever hired or if they just didn't care enough or shit, I'll do it for fucking free.
A lot of it is.
Me and TSC will do it on a stream.
We'll run pro eights or pro yeah pro eights and pay people to find the best game types like we'll do that
I don't care, but I just feel like that's something that we never do
Appropriately until until they separate the the not separate completely but until they have separate departments that manage separate things
This thing will always be like this forever and ever
Yeah unless my man Joe who I just DM sells me the IP of 1944
You know what I mean?
You just mentioned Matt when he came into the scene.
He, you know, no one's seen a shot like that.
But did you see Matt on main stage carrying some hardware?
Jeez.
That is.
He, dude, he, he texted the optic chat after and said, that's so tippable.
I know you guys want to tip it.
Yeah, yeah.
I just go ahead and tip it.
I smirked right away when I read that.
He's like, he's like, I know that was typical folks, so just tip it already.
You know?
Just tip it already.
And I was like, no, that was like, that's such a math thing to take it.
but bro not only did they that they went but you know dominated
dominated dude like dominated tj is so
so fucking so i tweeted that like apparently they were considered like onliners
because they never want to land so i you know i'm i'm drunk and i'm tweeting
and like what were y'all saying about online again and like people were tagging tj because he's
a troll on stream and was saying shit so i i go to him at the bar and he goes yo i saw your tweet
i was like okay he goes so what i was saying about you
you guys online is that you guys are bad on land and you'll never win an event
that was after we had already been he's such a fucking troll and I started dying
that's good I I couldn't go Jude went to go visit Jude and live actually left me alone at the house
we had a dog sitter by ended up like falling out so I just I just stayed back and I also saw
the hurricane the hurricane coming too like are they out is is maniac and formal out they're
still and and say boss they're still and
Sevas. All there.
They're on Florida?
Yeah, they're Florida. Yeah.
In Joe.
Matt, bring up the fucking tropical
storm Ian. Wait, wait, we got to see this.
Wait, yeah. What? Anyway, so I couldn't
go. You guys do not know and I understand
how happy I am, obviously, for
that's my guy. Obviously,
congratulations to the rest of the boys, but, you know,
for one I go way, way, way back
and, you know, I knew that, I texted him,
I'm like, I knew that this would happen.
Because I did. Yeah, nah. I knew that you
couldn't go. I knew that this was going to happen.
This was inevitable. They were in a win for sure.
Yeah, this is inevitable too right here.
Oh my God, what the hell's going on here?
There's no way they're making it out of the, like, if they're not on a flight right now, they're not making it.
But is in Orlando?
If they're not on a flight like right now.
Oh, they're there for a week.
They're going to, they're going to, they're going to cancel all of Matt's content for the week.
Because he's not leaving.
What the fuck?
Yeah.
No, they're wild for staying.
Yeah.
They were like going, they were the next day, they were all going to Disney and like universal.
The thing that sucks is like, if you're stuck in a hotel and it's flooded out and there's no, like,
like room service and shit, bro.
You are fucked.
Unless, dude, you better
sandwich, bread,
and you know what?
All of it's gone.
There's no water.
They've been,
they've been rummished.
They do what we do out here for snow.
Yeah.
And just notice how they put New Orleans,
new Orleans up there, right?
As a reminder.
And El Salvador,
also.
Wait, how,
I don't even know how to judge
the hurricanes.
Like,
is this one like pretty easy?
I was in one.
I used to live in Florida.
North Carolina and Georgia.
Hurricane Sandy where?
In Jersey.
We never had hurricanes or earthquakes, but we had hurricanes every year.
Yeah, let's see the live footage there, Matt.
This is in Cuba.
What?
All right.
So this is what, this is, this already went through Cuba.
Right now?
This, the one we're talking about?
Yeah.
This is, look, it took the paint off.
Dude, hurricanes are relentless, bro.
It's just, bro.
Man, but have you seen what was happening in Afghanistan?
No, what happened?
Matt, look up the Afghanistan floods.
It is fucking sad, bro.
What?
That's what I was thinking, what?
Isn't it,
Afghanistan, right?
Matt, I don't know.
Isn't it like in the desert?
Afghanistan floods quicks kill over 1,500 people in two months.
$2 billion worth of damage.
Yeah, it's...
Wait, what the fuck?
635,000 acres, bro.
Look up at the videos, Matt.
Bro, it is crazy, crazy what's going on over there.
What is the nature?
What's...
fucking crazy, bro, is that, like, no one's talking about this stuff.
That's what I was just about to say.
How the fuck did I not hear about it?
Bro, this is like old, old news now.
Yeah, like a month ago, yeah?
Yeah, and you think about, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Like actual, like, you go to Twitter, type in hashtag Afghanistan floods.
Twitter, Twitter, bro, it is fucking, like, unbelievable.
And then you sort of put yourself in there, in their shoes.
And then you're like, where would you go if your house is gone?
Yeah.
Like your house is literally gone.
All your belongings.
All of your clothes, all of your shoes, all of your TV.
You're just like there.
You're just like how you are with no...
Damn.
What do you do?
What was this uploaded, Matt?
27th?
Yeah, keep going, keep going, keep on.
Yeah, we were just getting helicoptered in.
Keep going, keep on.
Keep going, keep on.
Helicoptered out, I guess.
What do you do, bro?
Look at this video of the storm I took the other day.
In Dallas?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Nah, Dallas is...
Texas is crazy.
Wow.
Oh my God, look at that.
Bro, there's...
I mean, Matt, you haven't scrolled down, right?
Or did you?
He's scroll down.
Have you been scrolling down?
Uh, okay, then type in...
No hashtag.
How did this start?
It was like an earthquake?
Yeah.
And then just like...
I don't know.
I don't know.
Videos?
Yeah, there you go.
Right, just scroll down for a little bit
because it was a couple of them.
But bro, there's like...
Keep on, keep on.
There's like videos of like people being swept away.
And I'm not talking about like you can, there's like a fucking big drop.
So there's people crossing.
The bus is falling.
People crossing.
And then here comes just more, just constant water.
And then you see somebody just go like this.
Gone.
Gone.
Damn.
It is fucking sad, yo.
That is super sad.
Yeah.
How did we not, how the fuck did we not hear about this?
Bro, it's like, it's like the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
United States media will show you bullshit all day long but they won't show you like
this shit like this is meaningful stuff and what's crazy is like you know if they make
money as long as we hate each other yeah that's what I that's what I think right
um look at that thing man okay okay congratulations to to hopefully this doesn't
happen in Orlando oh my god that's where we got yeah that's where we got it for but yeah so
I texted it's about I'm like I knew this was gonna happen I came winning I'm like
I knew that this was going to happen.
Nah,
like watching them to.
Get the fuck out of there now.
There's a storm coming.
Watching them too,
like play with like scrims and basically all their old T's like they were playing.
Especially Matt,
like he's been improving so fast.
Like I think,
bro,
that guy,
like especially,
I don't like he played perfect.
They looked like he was actually hacking.
They were all playing perfect.
Dead ass.
They were all playing.
Because it seemed like,
especially when APG was on the team,
like they were banking on lucid or not APG.
When Pistola was on the team and Pistola was playing that,
that like,
Like that, I mean, obviously he's a legend, but he's playing that role where like he's only using the BR.
Everyone else is getting all the power weapons.
And APG's playing the same role.
I mean, you were banking on Lucid going triple positive.
He was for a little bit.
And he was.
It's so hard to keep that up.
But nowadays, I mean, you have the slaying power with the three of them.
And I think APG is like the best, he's like the best as like those like.
Because they all have their own individual play styles.
Like Matt and Trippie are kind of like similar.
Like Matt will just chow everything.
He was just trying everything.
Trippies kind of like that, but maybe like a lesser.
They were all impressive.
They were all in point.
They were insane to be honest.
Now like Lucid still top three player in the game, in my opinion,
but now he doesn't have to drop triple positive.
He doesn't have to go double positive.
He's still like he's still going like he's still slaying out,
but now Matt's slaying with him.
Dude, Matt was.
Tripi'll go off, you know, every once in a while too.
Matt was hacking.
I was the halo character different.
Yeah, no.
I think he's, I mean, shit.
When that guy's locked in, he's kind of like.
Yeah.
Dude, he's different.
You saw him on stage?
He's like,
he was so long.
And Halo, I mean, props to three for three
because obviously, I mean, a lot of shit
has been going on with that game.
But as far as the,
as far as the competitive scene,
that shit, that game is fun to watch, dude.
That game is so fun to watch.
Yeah, online is good.
Yeah, no, that game, that's why
I always support Halo if I can, man.
That game is the shit.
So two closing statements,
two closing things.
Obviously, we're about to end this podcast
right now, then we're going to go to an extended version of the podcast that is available to all
Optic Nation subscribers.
You can check out the information in the description below.
Gold members get a whole bunch of super perks.
I think that we're going to add some some giveaways to that also, but anyone, not paying
and non-paying subscribers.
But more importantly, those who there, we're going to be putting up some opportunities up
there for people to go fishing with hex or, you know, fishing with hex and scum.
Just go sign up and see what happens.
We haven't decided yet.
But on top of that, obviously, Hitch, you have your land.
You want to talk about it?
Yeah, there's a throw in a charity event out of Arlington at Eastport Stadium, Arlington.
We're going to have a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament.
If you want to come watch that, we got a Black Ops 2, $25,000 tournament.
It's the first time Black Ops 2.
Hopefully.
Wait, did you do this last year?
Yeah, but I've never had spectators.
So now it's like an event.
It's an event, yeah.
So if you want to come watch, I think Skump and Big Time are playing together.
Bowes and Killah are playing together.
Dylan Envoy and Jcap playing together
and Rambo and Merker or Rambo
Damn, I just, I just leaked.
Okay, don't put that in there.
No, you can, you can, I don't care.
Rambo and Karma are playing together.
Rambo and Karma?
Don't call me Damon.
You remember that shit?
So it's going to be a 4-4
that each of those guys are picking two more teammates.
And then we also got like,
Castro was playing Randolph in a 2006 FIFA tournament.
I mean, it's going to be like,
It's literally like...
Amazing.
It's going to be like an event.
Like it's going to be a lot of fun.
One of the coolest events this year for sure.
Check it out.
We'll be there obviously supporting.
And we appreciate it.
Anyway, thank you so much for tuning in.
Thank you, Doradash.
Thank you, Giraff Kings.
We'll see you guys next time.
Goodbye.
See you guys.
