Those backlash over unpaid internships in e-sports. Are you kidding me? What? Nothing. Keep going on. Crying out loud. So, anyway, I'm not going to say the name of the org because I think that's a dead issue now,

and I don't want to add on to that because it's already late and there's only to rehash it. But the topic still stands, right? Like internships in e-sports. I thought internships were unpaid. They are. Some. There's paid internships. Okay.

But some are unpaid. And people were like super anti-it. They quoted me in the, the article that DeSERdo put out is like, you know, this this hustle porn is what it's called. Hustle porn? Yeah, hustle porn. Essentially what you do is like all you talk about is the hustle, the grind and like getting, you know, getting the work done in order to get ahead and be successful.

They quoted my 24-7 thing. What's up? You're good? I'm just selling a church, go ahead. You heard porn and then your mind just went directly there? That's a yeah. A lot of other places, yeah. It's still going.

It's still going. Stop. He's like, don't look out here. He said all casual? Anyway, so they quoted me, and they said that this is not the, this is not the message that we should be sending people. And look, my comments on that and my, the way that I live my life is not for anyone. It's not for everyone. It's not about, you know, working every shit.

So there's this org that put out a post that said, hey, we're hiring an intern, unpaid internship. come learn the world of e-sports. You know what I mean? You get credit for that, for your college.

Now, one of my best friends ever in life, his name is Hutch, Sean Hutchinson. He's a super liberal. He is anti all that. One time I posted a contest that said, hey, we need a new logo. Whoever wins gets $1,000. A bunch of people submitted their logos,

and Hutch is like, that's wrong. You shouldn't have done that. You should pay every single one of the people that submitted that. He said, you should pay every single one of the people that submitted the logo because they're putting in the work. I don't agree with that.

And you can afford to whatever. And I was like, ah, I don't know. I thought it was like a contest. You know what I mean? Yeah. But I sort of get it. But at the same time, I sort of don't because of the where, when I grew up, how I grew up. Then I don't see it that way.

I don't agree with that at all. No? No, not at all. That's like, I mean, I feel like an internship is like your foot in the door and in a certain space. And then what you do with that, like, with your foot is up to you. You know, you could, you could branch out and become something because of your internship. It's just an operational. opportunity in my head. That's how I view the

So they have the money to pay somewhere. So that was like the main issue. And then they turned it into something else. They sort of

twisted into something else that wasn't. They quoted my shit in there, which I understand. Like I get it. Like my lifestyle is not for everyone. But I don't know. My intent was more to, it wasn't put out there in a negative way. So, you know, it is what it is. All right. I'm going to give you guys a question. Oh, by the way, that question, it wasn't a question. It was a topic. We got a question from the, what do you call it? From the common section. from Brandon M. who was essentially just last week talking about what would fix the current state of war zone,

the current state of competitive Call of Duty, the current state of not having the developers be as, I don't know, I don't want to say ear to the ground or in tune with the community because I feel like they are, but something in the background is like shackling them from allowing them to do what we want. So his simple fix, Brandon's, is Infinity Word works on Warzone,

Treyarch works on the Base Call of Duty. and Slashhammer works on the competitive. They made World War II rank system. Do you think that would work? I mean, it's tough to say, but, I mean, the underlying problem is that in war zone, there's no anti-cheat, and it's even, you know, plagued our competitive scene now, too.

There's people cheating in these tournaments. Until the anti-cheat. I think the anti-chee is the first step to growing war zone and competitive, or not so much competitive, but mostly warzone. I don't think it really depends on if Infinity War's if it felt like pushing all their time to it. I think it's more so the industry needs come out

and then having a better bridge between us and the developer. You know, and just like, it sucks because, like, I know that they care, but it's just like, it's just like, I don't complain on Twitter and stuff because I really don't feel like it's going to make a difference. And, like, that is, like, one of the problems. It obviously doesn't make a difference. And I don't blame them for that.

You know, I understand why it's like that. It's just, I think that's just, like, another problem that we can maybe solve. But since it hasn't been solved, since I've been competing for 10 years now, like I don't have my hopes up you know thoughts just no anti-cheat no mom like the same wave I mean it's driving like every single like big content creator like out of the game from it yeah yeah yeah because I don't know like like what games are even especially from a competitive standpoint what games are

even like popular that don't have like a good ranking system they don't have one not a single one yeah yeah not a single one not a single one and I guess that goes to show like the importance of it And the thing about that is that it would solve all of the negative PR, right? If you put out an anti-cheat and if you then put out a rank system and remove skill-based matchmaking from the main game, right? Now, again, we don't know. I mean, I wish I would have read or watched the video where they say the patents on what it is that they have to continue to keep people like playing the game. But I don't think, I really mean, I don't think that that would affect anything. If they remove skill-based matchmaking from it, someone that goes in there and gets his ass kicked,

not going to walk away from the game forever. You know what I mean? Like, I don't think that's the case. Especially when everybody that's good, it's not going to be pub stomping. They're going to be playing on the, on the league play side of it. So I think that that's...

I think that there's a lot that needs to happen before we split up these things. I think it's a good idea to split them up. I think that it would be good to have like one the same way that you have like your three options you have zombie or you have multiplayer war zone zombies they should also have the second one that is

league player competitive yeah just like something that you get that vibe like okay I'm about to fucking go hard in this shit you know because I want to because I want this rank because it looks cool I'm interested in because I ranted about this on the flycast and I was just like I haven't played the new call of duty

but from what I heard and from what Hitch told me it's he was like after your first like five games there's really not a point to play. And it's also how it is ranked. It's like you get basically rewarded for statoring. Like it's like the better you do in the game, the higher. It helps.

It helps. Yeah. I think like the rumor, excuse me, the rumor is like your score per minute is what helps a lot and like your five place in matches. But one thing I did notice though from, because I played when Lee Play first came out and I played it recently too. One thing I did notice is they changed something to where the second time around

because there's like three days per season or ladder or whatever. The second one, I was matching basically all Masters players, like, constantly. They might not be that good or whatever, but the first couple days, it was like anything goes. I was matching anyone. Is Masters the highest? Yeah, yeah. Now, would you say it's way too easy to get Masters? No, I don't think it's that easy to get Masters.

There was a lot of pros that didn't get Masters. Oh, okay. And they won all five games. And I don't know what that's caused by, but I got Masters. All of us got Master's, I think, in our team. There's no incentive that would go for it. You don't get anything cool? of it.

I mean, you just get like that flex, I guess, you know. I mean, but like, you can't really see it on your profile.

What makes it, like, stream? What makes it not worth to get? Because if you look at, like, League of Legends, I'm guessing

Ballerance the same way, but like, you, for whatever reason, I don't know if it's to look cool or what, but like you want to get that high rank.

Yeah, you want to look high. So why is it not, like, cool and cod or like, because you can't flaunt it the same way. Like,

league legends, right? Say you play an A-RM game, you still get the borders in the pregame lobby that show your diamond. You know what I'm saying? In Cod, it's like, if I'm playing a pub, they have no idea what rank I am. Yeah. But if I play league play, they can see my remaster's thing, but that's really the only time you can see it. See, I bet something like that has never been brought up to them.

Tell me why this isn't a thing, right? Every single pro player and one team owner get a badge that says you're part of the CDO. You're a professional call-of-duty player. Like an authentic one? Like an authentic, only 60 people. Yeah, like 2K has that. How many people? 48, 48 total pros?

Yeah, 48 starters. Those 49 people, right? The 48 starters and the one team owner that still plays college duty on a daily basis. Yeah, I remember that. And his could go pro if he applied himself. To add on to your part right there, I remember when I was playing 2K, like, if you were in the NBA, like, you would have a logo when you're walking around in my park. So, like, KD would just be walking on in my park. And then you would see his, like, NBA logo.

Yeah, but all three teams are just practicing nonstop and they're not getting affected by this whole like snowstorm here in Texas because they're just playing LA Toronto. So basically what I'm trying to say is they should postpone these matches. You think that they should push? I think they'll get pushed. You think?

Because we can't practice. And then all three teams that we're supposed to be playing against this week and next week. Yeah. Because they're getting reps. I've heard that they're doing a call tomorrow to decide. We are. Yeah. And if you got seven out of 12, that's already majority vote.

And they're all going to side with their players. And the players are going to tell them to postpone it. Yeah, we are going to, I mean, you guys want me to tell them that we want to postpone? Yeah. Absolutely. I have both. We, like, look, I want to say that this is no excuse. This is no reason I'm just saying that this building has a really good AC up until 6 p.m.
