Hey guys, welcome to another optic broadcast, episode 208. We've got some new faces here. If the boys want to go around and introduce themselves, we'll start with John. Yo, I'm John, renegades, my gaming tag, and I'm happy to be here. Nice. You know, I'm Sabri, aka Legend, and I'm a hero player for Optic now. What's camera do I even look at it? Yeah, some new faces here, but yeah, this is a long time coming. I mean, we put this squad together, I guess, like, three months ago, two months ago. When was World's October? Yeah, so it's been a few months. Yeah, we definitely have talked about making this team happen before. Just kind of like fucking around in like late night Discord calls. I was just like, you know, bullshitting and saying like, wouldn't it be cool? Like, we just ran this shit.

Like, we're like, the last four people on the Discord call were like, this would be a nasty team. And then we kind of just, like, fucked around with it. And now we're here. So this is, um, it's kind of wild. Uh, how would you guys, uh, Christmas? Uh, pretty vobby. I mean, don't really get anything, to be honest with you. Kind of was a bad boy.

I don't get anything, clothes, house. Were you in London? No, I was very wrong. I was better home. Oh, okay. So. Were you in France? Yeah, I was in France.

Oh, how was it? I mean, it's good to see your family and stuff, because I was in the US for one year, so I didn't have a lot of time to see them. So it was good. And Christmas and New Year's, I mean, my parents works a lot, so I've had really the time to spend holidays with them. Mm-hmm.

So I spent the time to spend holidays with them. I spend it most on video games. Yeah. I didn't go home this year. Yeah, me neither. Kind of regret it. Yeah, I don't know. I've, definitely, like, in the moment, like, when I make that decision to, like,

spend it here with my girlfriend and stuff, like, it sounds a good idea, but now, like, looking back on it, I probably should have went home. Do you normally go home? I didn't last year either, but last year I was kind of, like, tweaking about flying. No, where you've been kind of weird about flying it? And like when I'm flying now, I kind of think about it too. Yeah, I kind of tweak about flying. I don't know what happened.

I mean, I've flown a lot, like a couple hundred flights, and I used to never care about flying, but just with my, I don't know what changed, something changed. Yeah, I get random anxiety, like flying now, so it just deters me from wanting to go back home. And, yeah, the last two years I just haven't gone home, but I do regret it. I do want to see my dad. My mom comes to events, so, like, get to see her often, but really do with my dad. Yeah, I feel that.

I think this year is like the first year didn't go home. I remember I usually go home. And it was definitely like kind of like, oh, I'm just gonna chill with my, like my girlfriend. But yeah, I definitely get it. I was like, look, you should have seen my family. This is not the same vibe. Like, you're there.

I mean, it's like, cool. I was like still doing like Christmas like stuff, but like I wasn't like with the family and like what I'm used to. Yeah. And then my mom's like sending me pictures of the tree and shit and then I like feel really bad. And then it's like, holy fuck.

Yeah, that's my, I don't know. And then she, like, mails me the gifts. Because, like, you know how, like, moms are. Like, they're, like, preparing for you to come home. Yeah. They have it already and shit. And then she, like, sends me the gifts, like, I don't know. Do you at least respond her?

No, of course, I responded. So if I was talking the whole time and, like, told her everything was happening, I just still felt bad. That's good. Anyways, I mean, we're here now. So, got another year of HALO coming up. A lot of people have been asking if I was going to play Halo. And truthfully, I was only going to play again if I got this.

specific team like there was no other like real way around it like last year was pretty bad everything about last year was just we never they got talking about last year like i mean it wasn't that bad no definitely like out saturday night you know yeah yeah you got to every sunday i had a few of those this year yeah no i mean it's definitely definitely good i'm sure a lot of people think it's really good making it to a final time. I thought it was a great year. I look back on this one, that one for sure. Bro, but like, it wasn't like their year.

Like, your guys' year was, like, insane. Like, what was it, like, going through a year like that for the first time for, like, both you guys? Yeah. Just dominance? What you say? It was kind of dominant. No, it was dominant. But, like, I remember, like, my first year of just, like, winning multiple events and, like,

just feeling like you're, like, that team and going to every event confident as fuck. It's just, like, it's, like, the best feeling. Yeah. Great feeling. One of the best. One of the best. And Legend gets MVP. Like you had a fun year. No, that's crazy. I didn't expect this year to be like this because like, you know, like I had to prove myself like as a French player from Europe, you know? So it's definitely, it definitely was crazy. I didn't expect to win like every event. That was definitely crazy. Yeah. Wait, you guys win every single event? Yeah, never single one. No, no. I snagged one. We won every one. We got over one. Thank God.

No one on count. That shit don't count. Oh my God for the undefeated. We should have undefuted. No way. If it wasn't, if it was in America, I think we... You guys almost saw like that. No, we didn't.

Matt, did we almost lose that? No. Not only now we almost lose that. Was that the reset cheese one? That was the reset she's one? That was the one where you guys, you guys? You guys played what, C9 for top 12? Yeah.

Oh my God. Down like... Dude, how fun was your guys a year? What was your guys a year? I mean, that one was scary. That one was a roller coaster. Yeah. Yeah, but then you still go on to win the event.

Like, God damn it. No, no. And then like the grand finals of shit, like every time I just reset, I was like, shit. Like, wow. This is a long one. It's gonna be crazy if we win this though. And then we won it. I was like, yeah, hopefully it was pretty good about that one.

Like, when they think about a premiere or something else, but yeah, that was clean. That was a clean one. That was a clean. That was a dominant win. Even though any given moment, we were out of that shit. Those top 12 of the final. That's a dub. I mean, yeah, all those.

I mean, this last year was a fucking blur man. Like, we basically got second, like, every possible way you could have. And, like, lost to you guys, lost to them, like, every single, like, yeah, I've never had a year like that. So, for those you guys are, like, wondering about, like, the team change of why I kind of just, like, drop the whole roster, if you want to say that? Because I'm sure a lot of people saw it that way. Like, when you go through a year like that,

and it sucks because we had such success with that old squad before Zane joined and stuff so like obviously me Tommy and Joey like we were like world champions at one point like we'd won a bunch of events together picked up Zane and Zane was really good too like we thought there was a recipe for success there which there was like making to a final

that you definitely have something but we could just never get over that hurdle to really you know just go on to win and when you've been in this as long as I have like you have to you have to be able to just you know just win if you don't win it's just like it's just different from for me and I just knew that that roster was just kind of just trod um

the vibe was fucked like whether or not we all want to admit it like the vibe was fucked um even during the year really like there were parts of the year that were just like a little weird um for I mean I feel like everyone's to blame um I take a lot of blame for the out of game stuff I could have been a lot better of like a mentor or like a, I don't know, guidance figure or something. I don't know. I could have done more.

But it is what it is and got a new look for this year. I'm really confident in this roster. Like this is on paper. I mean, this is an amazing roster. I'm sure a lot of people have been talking about it like us as a team and how, like what we could do. And I mean, I guess we'll see. This is what I want my team to be. It's like, we made it happen, and I'm happy it happened.

Okay. You can you start from the top? Yeah, just ripped this. Okay. So the last three weeks, right? probably since the 20, around the 20th, somewhere around there. Yeah, we've been playing online tourneys, like off-season tourneys. And, you know, it's the off-season.

So, like, it's his time. It's the on season for chance. And he'll feast these. Yeah, he loves these. He's looking at shops. So, yeah, we pull up, like, what, the 20th or something, John? It was like, it was me suppressed Tusk and him. Oh, that's insane.

And we play chance. We play chance with, like, the most random roster. The most random roster is like... That's the point. You don't know. It was like Jesse. It was Bubu-Dubu. I liked.

Many. Yeah, like. That's what you guys played in the final? No, so we played like Winners Round 3. That was the first off-season one. We played that like Winners'on 3, and we just got, I think we just lost like in something. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Don't paint it like that, no, no, no. Okay, we went map three in the best of three. Wait, we won a map? Yeah, we won game two. I just remember forbidden, but like, you know, game three, you remember game three, chance just, like, guaranteed it. We were down like 50 points in that stronghold.

There was like 2.30, like, 190. We could afford that at him, like, went for a trip gap. Chance just guaranteed in the craziest way. He was like, all right, first week back, like first tourney, like whatever, like Chances doing him. Like, who cares, bro? The next turn, he's, same thing. Same thing, you just runs our shit dominant. It was dominant this time.

No, the four-trop was insane. That was it, game five when he made that insane play? Oh, no, he reversed-swept R-T. He reversed swapsed us, right? And then he played Sparty's team right after? He reversed them. He reversed them. And then we played him in Grans, and they four-outed us in like 20 minutes max, like some Guinness stuff.

Like, it was the fastest four-hour I've ever been apart. Have these attorneys been every single weekend? Every single weekend he's been running me. And he's just going crazy. He's going crazy every time. He's going like insane. And then this is literally the one that just happened like Cordazio. Like this is the most insane thing I've ever seen.

You guys won this one? Huh? You guys won this one? Yes. But we all had the monitor cam on, man, Grands. You got him to monitor cam? Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, we got the recordings. He went two and 15 games. Oh, but it's like a weird monitor. Yeah. No, it's like half of his monitor. It's on the GoPro. You don't even see him. It sounds like he's talking from like across the room, by the way.

Like you don't see him in the monitor cam. You don't like hear his voice really close. And it's like half the monitor. No, no, it's half the cam. And he's like screaming across the room. Like I don't even like know, like, no, like, I don't know if he's in the biggest room ever, but it's not real.

And so yeah, now this is, we lost him, we lost him in winners. We went up 1-0. This is the Slayer. And me and John were just instant tweaking right after we like lost. Like you know it goes. But like this time it was like actually like, we got him.

Because you cannot explain this. There's no like, info made like no info or nothing it made no sense yeah for those of you guys that don't watch halo um this clip's just weird because like i mean like the what he's he's just pushing on p side just doesn't even care about his p door he's like looking at john through the wall here yeah he's blenely looking to the wall is like no idea i'm like playing peter i guess like for people who like don't really know like i'm playing that door it's called pador and like i play for like where like i i know he stopped challenging me i know someone's like in the fridge right here i know he's up challenging

like you'll see in a second he stops challenging and then like i slowly like think I have the timing, right? Because they're like two dead still and like he can't see me. They both can't see me. So I'm like, I'm a hit front base. Mm-hmm. And then you'll see like chance instantly just like plays for info that.

He stops looking at the P-door and just looks through the wall. Yeah, he doesn't even check the P-door first of all. That's like insane. That's what I thought was weird when I was watching this clip of first glance. Yeah. And then he like he picks a P1 because he thinks like I'm going to like flank and it's like, no, no, no. They're crazy.

Yeah, and so there's been a lot of speculation about this kid, for those of you guys that don't know, this monster guy, he's been caught cheating in other games in the past and had a lot of accusations for the past, like, three years of all the online Halo tournaments. Like, I mean... Well, he got banned in H-1Z-1. Yeah, he's banned in multiple games, like, and people kind of just give him, like, second, third, four, fifth chances, and like we just... No, no, it's like 25th. It's like the 20th. Yeah, this is... It's bad, man.

and it's really embarrassing for the HCS, to be honest, to allow him, I mean, like, dude, the past two years, like, he was taking any roster to the grand finals. Like, literally playing with anyone, bro. Dude, it's 83 versus any given weekend. Yeah, and people were just, like, not bad again I had it. And, I mean, like, it's just weird because all the pros were very vocal about it and posting clips every weekend about this guy. And, I mean, like, there was a time when we had. had someone from the HCS in a call with us and I remember just going over theater

and like just being like, bro, you're a former pro player, like, you know this shit. Like this is fucking weird, right? And like, then he's just giving me, you know, the run around, blah, blah, blah. But it's just like, I'm about to message that fucker actually today and just bringing this up, but I just forgot about it. So look at that.

Yeah, so, I mean, like, I tuned into the APG stream the other night when he was kind of, like, I don't know, judging this, all these clips, and Monsker was in there defending the clips, I think, and you were, like, talking to him, right? Yeah.

And, like, it's kind of crazy the very next day that it comes out that multiple of his accounts are now, like, permanently banned on Halo. So it's pretty dark for a monster. I mean, like, I don't, I don't know. I mean, I hope you find fucking, I hope, brother. I actually kind of feel bad because, like, I don't know, this is pretty insane sin. This guy's living now.

But Jesus Christ, chance, this is, this is fucked, man. It's just all the plague. It's just kind of time for you to, like, do something else. Yeah, it's fucked. He's been doing it for. Yeah, that's the message that I saw. Big red, like, oh, I didn't see. I didn't see the
