Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, the thing is he elevated to that high sitting in his gaming chair playing the game. Which is insane. And I don't even try to compare Kai and Ninja because Kai is top two streamers of all time, in my opinion. Probably the best of all time. No one else. No one else. Actually, when it comes to streaming, Kai is the best. Kai is a better streamer than ninja.
Starting point is 00:00:31 And gentlemen, welcome to the Optic podcast episode 100. 91. There are only three digits in the episode. And so, damn, we're almost at 200. We decided to make a three-person podcast. Why? Well, Embo says the sniffles and I haven't been. That's it. And he's not sick. He went like this once. It was like, damn. I've never done that. The thing is, we don't know if he's got the sniffles because he's sick or because he was crying. You know what I'm saying? Like, he's been going through some shit. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Probably. He's always going through some shit. I'll tell you, we don't know what he goes through. We have no idea. He'll pull up here and he's just in a bad mood. It's like, what's wrong, man? He's like, don't even. No, he's like, you never really get. You never get the full story.
Starting point is 00:01:21 There's never like a therapy session with Bose where he like lays it out. And then every once in a while, once a year, it's just like, it all comes out. And you're like, what? But he's just always so much. He's never said anything to me like that. Has he ever vented to you? Nah. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:01:39 I fucking love that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The reason, listen, the reason why Bose and I get along so well and why because I don't know each other at all. Yeah, because we don't know each other at all. One of my best friends, like, I know if there's some shit going on that I can always call him and he will be the same thing that I will be there for him. I haven't been sick at all this year and I think I owe it. Okay, so let's talk about health stuff real quick. You never get sick.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Who? You. No, even if, well, it may seem that way. because I always show up to work whether I'm sick or not because I'm Mexican, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? But I want to talk about two things.
Starting point is 00:02:12 One, I haven't been sick all year. Like, I haven't had any, like, upper respiratory infection or anything. And I think that I owe it to this spray that Jude gave me. Okay? You just squirted it in the back of your throat and then you just let it slide. Gentlemen? What?
Starting point is 00:02:30 Behave. I'm listening. Yeah. Open your throat, let it slide in. Okay. Relax. Squirt it back there. And then what happens?
Starting point is 00:02:38 It's squirts. Make sure it squirts. It's some sort of in the back to your throat. It's some sort of beep. It's some sort of bee pollen. Okay. Before you say it, no. Beepalum.
Starting point is 00:02:51 No bees aren't jerking off into this bottle that I'm fucking squirted. Okay. Before you get, before you go down that route, which is where I know your brain went. But I sort of God, because I do that every day, I, I literally, and I don't want to jinx myself. But. what he said he's like I got the sniffles I'm gonna stay the fuck away from me I told you know my response he said he was I was like yo diner he was like oh I'm sick he was like I don't give a fuck though I'll come and just I was like yeah come get me sick then I get to fake COVID for like 12 days and then
Starting point is 00:03:20 then I'm going on month four wait what what I was looking at world series of war zone that's crazy okay second thing uh when I came back when I came back from from from from Idiots Miami and I know I talked this about this before but it it's different context today because when I came back from Miami I was like 212 213 the heaviest I've ever been in my life damn 212 and when I came back I did a 24 hour water fast 24 hour water fast and then the week after I did a 36 hour water fast doing the the Dana White fucking little package did you lose bro I went down to 193 but but but no no no no no Let me phrase that.
Starting point is 00:04:06 I have been, I had been working out and I had, like, I've, I've been putting effort into, like, moving. Moving. Yeah. Yeah. When you're a naturally born athlete. Okay. When you are just a coordinated person as I am, you sort of miss being able to be like, yeah, I could beat you in basketball. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Yeah, I could, if we fought, like, I have a, I would win. You're not going to walk away, like, unscathed. You know what I'm saying? Unskaith. But I was doing some research because for the last. three weeks I haven't been working out I've been traveling went to Saudi Arabia did all that and I've been eating like I was an idiot right like I was just eating and I have not broken 200 I'm one 98 this morning and I'm gonna tell you why what I think happened is
Starting point is 00:04:49 that I had parasites inside of my stomach that just kept on asking for more food and I just got really big when I did the 36th listen to me listen to me you can read this Look it up. You that wanted the cupcake. Listen it. I'll listen. I think the parasites hungry. My pet parasites.
Starting point is 00:05:16 My pet parasites. Okay. Joke all you want. But after I'm at the 36 hour water fast, I swear to God, I have not felt, I haven't felt like I usually feel. I feel like a wake. I feel like not woke. I feel like awake. And I haven't been able to put on like.
Starting point is 00:05:34 fat you know what I'm saying like I look in the mirror and I can see like my ribs I can see like a you know I can see an eight pack like when you flex you can actually see it like yeah like whenever I got to like 218 and whenever I would like flex my abs I would see nothing change and that's when I was like because now I don't have abs but it's like I flex yeah yeah you see the elevation of it like it's not like it's not impressive at all but like when I was at 218 and I would flex just nothing would happen. It just, my stomach would just say the same.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Anyway, I recommend it. A water fast. The water fast is good because this is going to happen. Look, you guys know that I love. Your water fast killed the parasites. I think the 36 hour one did for sure.
Starting point is 00:06:18 For sure. 100%. I think one of the main points that I'm trying to get is like it's also a really good mental strength trainer. Fuck yeah. That shit's hard. Yeah, especially if you love food the way that I do.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Anyway, that's all I got well hitch is on his Strava I wish I don't know if you posted on Twitter I know you wait I know you did on Strava but he was like guys he like ran a
Starting point is 00:06:45 ran a mile or ran for a few days in a row and he's like my fucking ankle and then one day he's like guys I figured out why my ankle or it's what I run it was like because I'm a fat tubby large like humongous and then I think so like my my left foot has been falling asleep
Starting point is 00:07:02 but I thought it was my, like, has been going numb mid-run. And I thought it was like because I was like, I thought it was because my shoes. Like, and so I've tried to run in them, in thems? No, not in these. I've tried two different shoes now. And I couldn't, I couldn't figure it out. So then I said,
Starting point is 00:07:22 I put on Strava, I think I figured out why my foot goes numb. I think it, I think it's because my humongous fat, fat, lard tubby refrigerator, fatty fat so stomach is bouncing on my poor weak little ankles than poor things. Can we get 10 gifted? Yeah, yeah. Oh, there it is. Five achievements. So who else is in this? Uh, the optic run club. Yes, the optic run club. We have just broken 863 members. Yeah, I don't know if we've talked about it. Dude, let's talk about this because the optic podcast. Because I know, I know that when I said I'm in, Nick laughed at me, but I mean it. Like I, I, I swear, listen. I make all the, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we
Starting point is 00:07:59 I love to see it. All the optic members that are in it are admins. So how do you make me owner? What? I love this. All right. So, Matt Craig's in it.
Starting point is 00:08:12 So hey, all right, while you explain it to me, maybe they can learn a little bit more about it and then maybe they'll join into the house. Strava is like a kind of a social media sharing app based around running and cycling, I think are the two things. And,
Starting point is 00:08:26 and, I love that. I love that. Yes. So I found that picture and linked it to Hitch because it was James Sellers, like Strava picture or something. Is it really? I was like, what the fuck is it? It clicked on his picture and that was his.
Starting point is 00:08:46 So yeah. But we run sometimes. You keep track of like every time you run, it can link to like your Fitbit or your Apple Watch or you can just do it within the app. What does 91.8 miles mean? Wait, you don't understand. This isn't ours? No, this is, wait, go back, go back, go back. This motherfucker better be biking.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Go to the Luke, go to the Luke guy. Luke, the top. Yeah, yeah. I want you to, and just score down his activities. Wait, the, shout out whoever Luke is. Yeah, this guy's from Greece. Dude, he's in, he's in the, and he knows optic, obviously, because he's part of it. Look at this morning run, nine miles at a 754 pace.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Dude, I walk three miles in 45 minutes. Nine, and if you keep scrolling, that's not, I think that's one of his like, okay, that's only a mile. But he's, he's done like, there's two guys. And I think they're marathon runners. And they, and they also like Optic, obviously. And they just, they just trains like hard as fuck.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Dude, I love this shit. And so, yeah. So, so, uh, and there, you can also put groups in Strava. And so we started a group, um, while we were in DC for, uh, Codnext. Yeah. Called, uh, the optic run club. So, I mean, join it.
Starting point is 00:10:00 We'll see where it goes. I'd love to eventually do either like an optic or a flycast 5K. And, and also like, depending on how many miles you run a week, it ranks you in the stats. If you like, within the group. And I'm just trying to, I'm trying to end every week top 100. That's what I'm trying to. We should have like an admin section for leaderboards. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:25 So. Yeah. Congrats, man. I'm just the only one that I'm the only one that I have a pinched nerve right now on my left foot you guys know I have pinched nerves on both my feet but this one like I was walking on this shit in New York Let's go click on my shit 58 seven miles So far and then you get to post pictures of you fucking actually I mean Well on this it starts on Mondays So I ran four miles yesterday three miles Monday six miles Sunday like I run six days a week
Starting point is 00:10:56 Dude, you're probably already back to where you were like in your peak. And it's like it's such a good feeling. There was started off like the first. Three weeks I'm back. The first month, I was running actually longer than a month before I started this like marathon trap and like logging it and shit. I was running a mile on the treadmill every day before my workout just to like slowly get back in. Does that count?
Starting point is 00:11:20 Yeah, you can do you can do indoor running. I mean, you have an Apple. I mean, you can manually link it as well. Yeah. Like you can just type in I ran a mile at this time Because that's what I did on the treadmill For a little bit
Starting point is 00:11:31 No, no no no I don't trust myself to not say Yeah I did 3.9 miles I did 3.5 you know I'm running up I did 3.5 miles you know So you can see on on Sunday Cut your fucking nail Jesus Christ
Starting point is 00:11:45 It looks like Paul Magnus toe On Monday Tuesday Thursday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday I do my runs and I've been doing I think I'm on week five or six oh i guess it's it's running cycling and swimming and whatever that last one is i don't know other other activities like row but it's turned into i think i think i'm at where i was last year right now no four miles out of what is it four miles at a nine 30 something like that nine might have been like
Starting point is 00:12:16 nine 17 or something that's uh that's nine thirty that's insane that is insane that's that's sick Well, I think I, I think my six, maybe my six miles was like 940. The thing is, is that in my head, I consider myself a run. Like, I know that when I see people running, I get like, like, jealousy. I see, I see him and I'm like, man, I wish I was a runner. It's the weirdest, like, love, hey. Oh, look, it compares you at the battle. Side by side comparison.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Where? Latest activities six to zero. This is Matt Craig's logged in. So six activities, zero for Matt Craig. average distance 15 feet nice Matt let's go Matt 16 feet elevation
Starting point is 00:12:57 that was just coming up the elevator to get average distance per week 0.2 miles Matt that's fucking fire dude Matt let's fucking go to let's go Matt Matt Matt ran a mile in 830
Starting point is 00:13:10 is that good for not running when was the last time you ran Matt damn look at my mile what 10 years ago I bet you that I can do better than 8 minutes seconds running
Starting point is 00:13:23 and you guys will be present and I'll do the lab faster than Matt you think 100% I don't know I think there's no chance there's no shot you'll get halfway and you'll be amazed
Starting point is 00:13:34 how tired you do you go okay I'll give each of you 100 bucks okay it's not even I got away from I got away from my shoes to get here thank you for the recommendation I ordered them
Starting point is 00:13:45 I ordered shoes to wait what shoes what shoes do you order the Invincible 3 Invincible 3s yeah that's what I got the Nike Invincible 3 did you do Nike ID.
Starting point is 00:13:53 I mean, I think that's what I've told both of you that I've... Yeah. So I hit up, I hit up this guy, this, this ultra marathon runner. Like this guy is better than, than Lance Armstrong, but then obviously not on a bike. His name is Brendan Dunn. He's one of the co-hosts. No, you don't. I mean, I think I know.
Starting point is 00:14:11 You heard of him only because he's the co-hosts of the greatest sneaker podcast to ever exist. The complex sneaker show with... Yeah, why aren't you just there or something? Brandon Dunn, Matt Welty, Joe LaPuma. This guy does ultras? Huh? This guy does ultras? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:29 I mean, I don't fucking know. I just see him running all the time. And I hit him up and he's like, oh, these are the something fly runs or whatever. I shouldn't know. It's funny that I don't know. Pegasus if I'm sure. No, I wasn't the Pegasus. There's something crazy.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Anyway, but he's like, but these are for like speed running. Get something like the Invisible Threes or some free runs and all that. So I just went with what you ordered. and luckily they had a Nike ID or like a Nike customization I customized the full one and then I was like but I couldn't take there's like a
Starting point is 00:15:00 there's like a tag on the side you're gonna show you mine mine are fucking fire oh my God and you can't you can't say I don't want the tag and so so I either it either had to say like Nike like the Nike like the logo
Starting point is 00:15:13 it was like a custom logo or you could put your own name so I wrote hitch on it yeah I did hacks on both of mine I should have done that. I made like our dope one, but then it was like $240 and I was like, all right.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Did I just like buy it for $140? Yeah, let me earn it. Like, let me like, let me earn it real quick before I. I quit this for a few months. I have a tendency to be like, man,
Starting point is 00:15:38 I kind of like DJs. I'm going to buy a whole DJ booth. And then like, that's every man. That's every man. Yeah. Except that if you actually follow through with it, you will find Zen within.
Starting point is 00:15:49 because the things that you like man how does it how does it go somebody just posted something like that where beginners buying the most expensive things for their newly acquired craft but like I'm telling you right now and I've been trying to get people to do more of the things that
Starting point is 00:16:06 they innately want to do because it really does offer therapy in a way that you will never fucking understand unless you do it I think that one of the main reasons why I paint and I draw so much is because I literally just get lost in this just one little thing and my brain is fucking out there somewhere else while at the same time doing this thing or whatever.
Starting point is 00:16:28 So the bonsai stuff that I just have recently gotten into. Oh, yeah. Like, I know. Listen. First of all, I'll tell you what. My mom has always been a green thumb. Okay. In high school, in high school in 1997, right at high school in 1998, I was working at a bank.
Starting point is 00:16:46 and we had uh what why did he whistle me no he whistled he said nineteen and i hear oh like long ago i was 18 years old anyway i uh every every every every seed that i found in weed i would fucking plant them somewhere you know not not in just in the areas that we that we hung out right in a flower in a flower pot or whatever oh yeah just to see it yes to see if it grew and one of them did and i was like i was like oh my god that's so fucking dope the reason that i like my god that's so fucking dope the reason that I like Minecraft is I farm that's my thing I love literally what you do yeah I love farming right so I have this like that game so good this thing so me getting into bonsai and doing that like has been real life Minecraft sometimes something in my brain is like oh my god
Starting point is 00:17:31 this is so fucking cool that's the responsibility of taking care of a 50 year old bonion tree and also a 20 year old fuky and tea tree is that what you got in there yeah that's what that's what that's what Aaron create was doing in the fake optic house who was Aaron? Yeah. Aaron was like, you want to see something? In the house in over there.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Yeah. In Illinois. He was like, you want to see something? And I was like, sure. And we were outside and we go inside
Starting point is 00:17:58 and he opens a closet and there's a lamp on one little coffee pot and a tiny little weed sprout. And I was like, what do you? And he was like, it's my pet.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Oh my God. It's, it's, so. I know a guy that's done. So just so you know, it's not illegal. to do that?
Starting point is 00:18:16 Well, hemp is legal everywhere. It is when it becomes Technically the weed ain't grown yet. Correct. What is hemp the leaves? What's hemp?
Starting point is 00:18:25 Yeah, just the plant itself. Oh. It is when, I mean... I threw away all my weed. It's... Huh? I... I'm not saying to go and, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:34 do that, obviously. Yeah, don't grow no shit. Also, you can. If you don't want to. You can't grow no shit. Don't embarrass yourself, kid. You can't grow no shit. It takes
Starting point is 00:18:44 a certain kind of of scientific mind to be able to grow a smokable plant trust me kid you ain't got it you ain't got it you ain't got it you ain't got it don't even do it don't even get yourself in trouble
Starting point is 00:19:01 but anyway do you like any hobbies that you guys have like the running stuff like that works right because it's like it's something that you're going to do just oh I got the working out is the working out shit like I just hold I just my end
Starting point is 00:19:14 interests are just I even thought I was like the beta is going to come out the what the beta oh the beta the black op six beta is gonna come out I'm gonna get back into it starts trimming that like this year I'm gonna go hard and cod you have to if I'm gonna invite you to GGCS
Starting point is 00:19:31 you have to stream this year literally Activision is saying three out of the four people have to stream so go ahead and get that momentum I just get nervous in S&D tournaments to stream though Dude, if it's S&D, put me in, please. Who's my team?
Starting point is 00:19:48 Am I in it? Yeah, well, yeah. If you want to be in it, you'll be in it. Because even last year, I don't think I played the beta last year. The game came out, and I only played during the GDCS journeys, and I was so shit. I was like, you won the whole tournament. I know, but that's just because I'm naturally talented. It was a hundred and fifty grand.
Starting point is 00:20:03 You won it. Dude, that was the best thing. I was shitting on, on who do you fuck, Riley got shit on, fucking Hunter. What's his name? Mey had got shit out. And only because I was playing so much. ranked that I was just I just went to my spots and I you know if you asked to do with reaction time you fuck this I had a spot on offense and I had a spot on defense where I would go
Starting point is 00:20:24 on every single man this year I'm splitting up I'm splitting them them up who me and the old one of optic good please I was putting them on the same team and then it was just like they watching them get steam no they were just like arguing and I was like that I have to split that's what needs to be that you guys no I have to split you guys I'm splitting all three of you up and I'm putting you on the same like division yeah please so i can shit on them but yeah my point fucking i i got six beta came out and i was like i'm gonna play that i'm gonna start streaming and blah blah and then what actually kind of did it was i saw like seth was on just like 20k views and then i saw zini with like and i'm not even trying to like throw dirt on zit it's it's just what
Starting point is 00:21:08 happens it's just what happens skump takes all the viewers gump and shotsie Take all the viewers. Seth was live with 20. Everyone's live. And it was live with like 11. And then all the people that we know. All the people that we know in like Zinny, who has a bigger community than me, he had like 200 some viewers. I'm like, if I got on and what he usually, he'll usually have 700, 800,000, sometimes the 1,000.
Starting point is 00:21:39 But like, when I see that, I'm just like, how many? Who the fuck would actually watch me Even if I signed one or down The shit is so hard The thing is this Okay I would have a little bit watching me What do you average?
Starting point is 00:21:53 How many people do you average? How many people do you average? When I was playing It would probably be like Good days Maybe like 300, 350 bad days If I put you in an auditorium
Starting point is 00:22:05 In front of those same people That that subscribe and support you For you to tell them a story You'd fucking shit your pants Well I was thinking I might start my stream and I might not even break 100 viewers.
Starting point is 00:22:16 What sort of negative thought is that? It's just a real thought. I understand both. I understand both sides. This is how streamers, this is how, I don't know if every streamer's like this. But this is how people think.
Starting point is 00:22:28 They won't fucking say it on camera. There's just so many, there's so, there's a, my ego gets in the way. Instead of just doing it for the love and like, that's what I do.
Starting point is 00:22:38 The people that do enjoy the content I make. I'm just, I get in my head about it sometimes. on man dude it's fucking tough it's tough it's tough being a call a duty streamer or a halo streamer and then you realize you can't do it anymore like you can't you can't do it how you once did it like tST at one point but prior to i mean i know it's a while at this point but prior to set or prior to set's retiring prior to zuma retiring octane retiring havoc retiring like we were the only people really doing cod and that's when we got great like that's when we got like
Starting point is 00:23:12 17,000 subs. And so we're just like, and we're averaging like 2,000 viewers. Now, if we try to brute force our way to do cod content, dude, all 15 people that are on the flank as hosts, they all stream. And it doesn't work that way.
Starting point is 00:23:32 It does. It does work out. There is zero chance. I promise you. There is enough to go around. There is really not. There is zero chance that if I go live, the 500 people that watch me
Starting point is 00:23:46 are going to go watch somebody else when I'm life on your stream in the beginning I promise you as an hour end they'll be gone your first your first stream back
Starting point is 00:23:57 I did I had one your first stream back it'll be great yeah the third stream back is when you're like oh so this is third stream back and I was going to do that third week back
Starting point is 00:24:08 you're like what's the point of that no dude I promise I don't even want to try because I just can't stream. I'm going to tell you I can't stream. I got things to do outside sometimes and I come back inside. You know what I'm saying? It's going to affect me.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Yeah, that's that's fine for you. We don't exist. I'm not. No, no, no. What I'm saying is that what I'm saying is that I would, I would like to stream is just that they're like my group of the group of people that I stream with. It's just not as good at me as good as me in call a duty. So we're not, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:24:41 We're just going to argue. I'm arguing is where you guys blew up. That's how you got. Well, not, no, when Fizz was in, that's when we blew up because he was really good at stirring the pot. Anyway, neither here nor there. Let's, uh, let's, uh, let's, this tattoo is like, yeah, I just got a tattoo yesterday.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Yes, it's still itching and I've had it for. Really? Yeah. That's kind of weird. This one, this one. This one, this one, this one itched. Really? For a long time.
Starting point is 00:25:10 That one's light. That one's light too. Use aquifer every time, though? Huh? When you're healing it, you use aquifer. Aquifer, yeah. Can you feel the ink in any of yours? Yeah, on this one.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Oh, okay. On the older ones, for sure, on this Americana. Feel that. Yeah, it's just, that's, that's why it's itching. Yeah. The other thing is, is that you have, you have hairy legs, so. If it did you just put aquifer on it. No, I don't know about that.
Starting point is 00:25:35 No, but it's been four months. Where are you, where are you going to stop? Are you, would you ever do? Yeah, would you ever tattoo, like. Like OG? I'd go everywhere. You tattoo your, I'd get a little, I'd get a little something. No, please don't.
Starting point is 00:25:48 I want to get a tattoo Like here. I want to get one like right here and come on my ear. I want to get one on the corner of my forehead. Listen, I know people. And I also want to get one like up here along my hands. No, the fuck you don't.
Starting point is 00:26:00 No, the fuck you don't. And then you put 808s on and he's just. The fact, the fact that you're already up to here. I start making beats again. Don't. That's how it works. This is that how it works. Bandana.
Starting point is 00:26:09 I get the face tats. Then I start rapping. Yeah. Yeah. That is. That is kind of how it's not. There's no lyrical gift in that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I just tattoos for me are like, I like them. Those, those look dope. Like, you're doing a good job because then after that, once you get all the main ones, you're going to fill in the blanks. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:26:26 yeah, yeah. I got, I'm getting OG right here. I thought my back, like I was like, all right, I got my fucking tits,
Starting point is 00:26:34 my, my ribs, my, the inside of your right side, inner biceps. I was like, those are the places that fucking hurt. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Elbow, the hands. I was like, these are, those are the places that hurt. I was like, this back, my back will be easy.
Starting point is 00:26:46 I'm like, that's, like, I get to eat that. I eat that all day. It was insane. I don't know if it's just, I think everyone's different. Freddie? Yeah. I think everyone's different for different places, but, like, I thought the back would be fine. And I even told him, I was like, I'm kind of excited about this because, like, I feel like the back won't hurt that much.
Starting point is 00:27:06 He's like, pro, I got a lot of back tats and it does hurt that much. I was like, really? Like, how? Because it seems like, like, I feel like I'd just be able to, like, tighten up and, like, just eat that. but it was fucking insane and all he did was like the top half of the outline yeah the tattoo imagine when it gets to the fill-in I mean when he got does the shading I don't know what which will be worse because sometimes the shading's not as bad because they just like they get that spot done quick and then they move on to a different spot so I don't
Starting point is 00:27:38 know if I don't know if the shading's gonna hurt a lot worse but my god I saw that it surprised me so much how bad especially like my left shoulder blade area. It was fucking insane. Dude, just wait until you get to like the bat, like your longas, your love handles?
Starting point is 00:27:57 Yeah, I don't know. That, that's, well, we're not even. Those are staying white as small. I don't have anything there,
Starting point is 00:28:02 but like, my last tattoo before this was like six months ago. And I remember at the end of the tattoo, which one was it? Oh, I think it was this. But at the end of this, my inner bicep,
Starting point is 00:28:16 I was like, fuck. Dude, Jude, when did you get that? That one's fire, right? The Alkamina. Isn't it al-Kamino? Yeah? It's fire.
Starting point is 00:28:26 What is it? Does it signify anything or you're just like, that's dope? No, his father, right? It's a car my dad built before he passed away. Oh my God, that's fire. How have I not seen that? Yeah, this shit turned out super good. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:28:38 But after this tattoo, because the inner bicep fucking hurts. Bad. Bro, you know why I haven't seen it? Because I sit to the left of you on the flycast. Oh. I don't ever. see the inside of your right that's weird
Starting point is 00:28:51 no that's a fire ass tattoo that's okay that's the artist is fredi trevino if you guys are in Dallas like do do look him up Trevino or Trevino Trevino Trevinio Trevino Trevino is it Previno
Starting point is 00:29:06 Art? That is Instagram No it's Wait what is it? Freddy Truey It's third eye or something Yeah after I got this I was like Fuck tattoos fuck this shit Like at first when I was getting them, I don't know how I got fucking all this done. This shit was insane.
Starting point is 00:29:24 I was drunk as fuck while getting it. But like, maybe that's how I got it done. But after this? Doesn't your blood flow more when you're like. They say not to do it. But you're going to go to fuck. It's not. Maybe it's fucked some people off.
Starting point is 00:29:38 I saw that. I saw that and I'm like, I'm like, oh my God. That's a lot of line work. That for sure fucking hurt. Because just think about, think about how tender it is. After you get into that tweet, even if you do this, right? Maybe if you press on it, it hurts. Imagine a needle going through your skin.
Starting point is 00:29:51 The last 30 minutes of my Schofield tattoo right here were the most pain I've ever been in when he started adding the white. And I was literally... Oh, yeah, I've heard that. It's when it's already raw. Yeah. I've heard that white is bad.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Yeah. Dude, I was looking in the mirror and I'm like, let's see if I can hold a straight face and I could. I was just like... Like clenching your jaw. Dude, you're literally thinking of anything. Do I get your mind off it?
Starting point is 00:30:13 I was sitting on the table literally like this. It was like standing up, working on it by. behind me. Just squeak like he's squeezing outside. It was it was insane how bad it hurt. How long are your sessions? Like an hour?
Starting point is 00:30:28 Three hours. That's that bro. They say. And that's not even. I used to do like six hours. No, whenever I was doing all of this stuff. Nah.
Starting point is 00:30:36 It's, he says it's like three hours. Three and a half is like when you're really in pain. I don't suggest any like come back after that. And I don't know. I know he means it because that's like the average person. But also like he's, he's got to get tired too and the last thing you want.
Starting point is 00:30:50 I've always been afraid of getting tattoo letters done. I'm sorry, graffiti letters tattooed because it's not easy to follow lines, especially arrows and supposed to do that. So this is a sketch that my friend, Ohman's Mike, I'll see you guys know him. He did and he left in my garage. One day he was just sketching and I saw it.
Starting point is 00:31:08 I'm like, I'm like, I'm not gonna ask him. I'm not gonna ask him. I'm not gonna ask what does it say? It says omens. It says Mike. I'm still waiting I'm still waiting on you to give me a spell out maniac. A maniac?
Starting point is 00:31:23 I'll probably get it like Okay so like going down but not spelled like Not stacked on top of each other Yeah Like Okay When are we getting bananas
Starting point is 00:31:37 I thought we were gonna get them I'm gonna get my ear I mean if we get a We haven't announced anything But I was gonna say Are we gonna have a tattoo guy Yeah The one thing we do
Starting point is 00:31:49 100% Oh yeah I forgot Yeah, yeah. That's like good at then. Yeah, we'll do bananas then. And also the other two will be with, they're gonna both get bananas.
Starting point is 00:31:59 I would, listen. I mean, I'm gonna probably get something else as well. If there's a tattooing. If there's meaning something, there's no chance that I don't get a tattooed on me. You think you, do you think your, y'all's guy would come? No.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Nah. Nah. He's a little, he's not bougie. Big time? He is big. He's, I will consider a big time.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Yeah. Like, he owns the shop. Oh, yeah. He does what he fucking want. Listen, if you, if, if, If we ask him like, yo, do us a favor, he will. But he's just not that I got a, not that there's anything wrong. Maybe he would.
Starting point is 00:32:28 I mean, there's potential that, yeah. Maybe he will. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, maybe he would like that. I doubt it. Yeah. Because I think he just likes getting there, getting his shit done and getting the fuck out. I love that, which is.
Starting point is 00:32:40 I don't think he would want to hang out in this unfamiliar environment on one stream. But he's like, he's, uh, after he, he tattooed Schofield on me and how. fucking great it's a fucking dog and he and you know hair and all that shit like it's difficult and he did a fuck i'm like he can tattoo fucking anything that's crazy he's been doing it like 18 years i think he yeah so so like that's my guy i was going to this other guy named beware who's uh who's a graffiti writer really good friend uh fucking but did this whole arm but like most artists like most artists like most artists can't get a hold of you know what I'm saying like he he just ain't going to be there for you You know what I'm. It's all of them. Any, every tattoo artist I've ever talked to, it's like, hello.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Yeah. Like, you got to like, it's like, I'm like double texting. There's a, the girl in Chicago that did the, these two. She's, she's, she's pretty easy to get old of. I've never had like a guy. I've never had like a, a big enough piece. Y'all have like portraits and shit. I only have one. I, I, I, I've been doing like, I like the clip art feel. It's my, it's my only. I got this one. This is like my old American, my only old Americana one. That one's five. They're like this one. A few in the past like year or something.
Starting point is 00:33:58 Me? Old Americanas? How long have you had that? This one I just got this in Miami for idiots. I've gotten a few in the past like years. So I got the, I got the Mexican seyo, the, the shield. I'm going to do the, the American flag on this one holding the the spears and the olives. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Bashers. My name. animal, villains the sniper rifle what's your favorite Gofield the the hex one for sure
Starting point is 00:34:34 yeah of course but are we surprised well no it's just like good fucking letters I'm like I'm jealous that he can just like he just sketched this out because he was fucking bored you know how hard I got to fucking work
Starting point is 00:34:46 to come up with something fucking dope it fucking sucks and I and I know that like some people are like yeah like mechanics for example, it took you 15 minutes to fix that, but it's like $3,000 because it took 15 years for me to master this thing.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Nah, not with Mike. He didn't take him 15 years to master this. He's just born this way. This shit's so funny. Hex is so critical of everyone, but anytime Oman's has a pen, he's just like, dude, what? Look at the way.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Well, no, it's not. No, I'm just critical of my own shit. Is he that good? Nah, you are, what? Just critical of your own shit? That's the biggest cap I've ever heard. Anything graffiti ever. Hex is like, no, what the, who, who, who?
Starting point is 00:35:29 Give me a name. Who? Yeah. No, 100%. I think we were in Seattle and he saw something on the wall and I think you like knew the motherfuckers who did it. Yeah. I was like, what the fuck?
Starting point is 00:35:40 How deep in this game are you? We're just walking the streets of Seattle. He's like, yeah, fucking. Have you ever heard of Bon John? Have you ever heard of Simple? Counter strike? Yeah. Have you heard of a faker?
Starting point is 00:35:52 Yeah. You just hear these names and you just remember them. That's what's his name, Banksy? Banksy? Listen, part of the interruption, let me do this quick ad. We want to say thank you to Rocket Money for saving me and my family a couple of bucks. How? Well, Jude and I had a couple of subscriptions that we were both paying for.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Okay? She had one for Crunchy Roll. I had one for Crunchy Roll. She had one for this. I had one for the same thing. And anyway, we consolidated it because Rocket Money told my family that we were all paying double, sometimes triple in some cases because live. had her own ideas as to her own crunchy role. So can you name every single subscription that you have?
Starting point is 00:36:30 I know that I couldn't. Okay. I know that I can't name them right now even as we speak. And I'm not alone. I just learned that over 74% of people that have subscriptions they have forgotten about with rocket money. You don't have to. I don't have to remember every single subscription or worry about forgetting any because I can see them all outright in front of me. Most Americans they think they think that they are. Most of Americans think that they spend around $60 per month on subscriptions. But the real number is closer to 300 buckaroos. $300, ladies and gentlemen. That is a big difference.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Even if it's just a couple of subscriptions that fall off your radar, you're going to be paying them in perpetuity. Try this free trial. And then after that it goes into an automatic pay. You forget about those. All the photo apps that I can't even tell you, right? But managing finances can feel complicated and sometimes time consuming, but it doesn't have to be because rocket money simplifies everything.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Making it so easy to see exactly what's happening with your finances, to track your spending, and to give you full control of all of it right there from your phone. Rocket Money is a personal finance application that helps you find and cancel your unwanted subscription, monitor your spending, and it helps you lower your bill so that you can grow your savings. Also, if you didn't know, Rocket Money has over 5 million users and has to save a total of 500 million canceled subscriptions, saving members up to $740 a year using their app's features. Stop wasting money on things that you don't use. Cancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to.
Starting point is 00:37:54 RocketMoney.com slash optic. That is all capitals, but since I don't want to make you do extra work, I'm just going to put a link in the description. That's rocketmoney.com slash optic, all capitals. RocketMoney.com slash optic, all capitals. We'll see you guys in a little bit. Is that obviously not graffiti, but like a street art? Street art. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:12 Is he still doing his thing? Yeah. He actually just did a pretty dope, uh, dope series, I guess. It was like the zoo, but on the outside and he like, bring up, bring up the latest. Banksie work, Matt. So is Banksy? Banksy is like a real, he's a real guy or is like a team of people? No, it's a real guy.
Starting point is 00:38:32 From what it is. But look, so he went up to this. I mean, that shit is fire. See, you think that's fire and I see that shit and I'm like, man, it's so clever. It's so, so clever. But like, look at the, like there's a monkey one, bro. Look at the no, Matt, we've seen this. We already looked at it. Let's move on to the next
Starting point is 00:38:48 one. Okay. Are there more? There's more. Damn it. Bangsy. No, latest banks. Okay, rhino, go to the rhino one. Look at this rhino one. That's Banksy? Yeah, that's Banksy. That's fire.
Starting point is 00:39:00 And then look at the one where it's like a, like a Chinese or like an Asian shop. The monkeys? Yeah, okay, look at the monkeys on the bridge. Yeah, right there. Bottom left. No, no, go to the, yeah. Go back to the monkeys to the right or that. No, no, to the, yeah, right there.
Starting point is 00:39:15 That's the bridge. Look at that. Like very clever. Look at the Pelican ones. That one's dope. The goat, the mountain goat's dope. Wait, so there's one dude out there. No one knows.
Starting point is 00:39:26 That one, to me was the fucking most clever out of all of them. So, so there's one dude out there. No one knows what he looks like. The piranus is dope. Yeah, right where your air is to the left. Yeah. So look at that. Yeah, like he just went up to that and look at the, so it's all stencil work.
Starting point is 00:39:47 So no one knows what this guy looks like. Some people know what he looks like. Like marshmals. No Banksie is the marshmallow of street art Yeah look I think I mean so you know Like people will go above and beyond
Starting point is 00:40:00 To look at the wolf Type wolf Next to that This is also part of that That like the latest one Right it's the moon But it's a satellite dish The guy on the left
Starting point is 00:40:10 All the way in the upper left Yeah Is that him? No that is a guy stealing that And selling that shit for $350,000 I hate thieves look at him he just walked away with it yeah dude it's it's it's it's worth something you know
Starting point is 00:40:26 yeah but this guy doesn't deserve to reap any wait so so is he so is he does he does he is it like you wake up one day and all of a sudden there's a bansy piece yeah so he it's not like it's not like covered in something and then it's revealed no no no no yeah so there's there's been like uh look at the zebra one the zebras one's one's fucking because i because when i heard of Banksy it was what it was the self-destructing piece. Mm-hmm. So have you ever heard about this? Nick? It's right there on the right.
Starting point is 00:40:59 This? So he sold a piece as soon as it sold, it started going through a paper shredder. Yeah. There's a paper shredder built into that frame as soon as it sold for what? Three million or whatever. No, it was like a couple of hundred and then he immediately jumped up to... And as soon as it started shredding itself and then it got stuck. And so that's how it's resold for 25,
Starting point is 00:41:22 for 25 million. And it's just some. So the pre-sale was $200,000. You go up, $200,000 is what it went for. And then the second that it ripped in front of everyone, somebody off for $25. In front of everyone, it started just right after it. The cleverness of this.
Starting point is 00:41:40 But did he do that on purpose? Yeah, of course. Did he put in a paper shredder? No, I mean, did he, the paper shredder getting stuck? Oh, yeah, yeah. I don't know. I think so. You think so?
Starting point is 00:41:51 Yeah, yeah. That's amazing. Yeah. And look, this was part of the show, right? Like, I'm sure Sothis B. U, so whoever the fuck you sold this through, like, we're also in on it. Nick, can you, Nick, oh, oh, this is when it happened? Yeah, look, everybody gets surprised me.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Why aren't they looking? They're like, oh, shit, oh, shit, oh, shit. Take out my phone. Holy shit. I didn't know it was recorded. Everyone's sweating is like, and everybody's like, take it down, take it down. Bro, that is. Yeah, well, Sotha Beach.
Starting point is 00:42:18 I didn't know when to get on, when to start shredding. Who cares? It's on a timer. or it's on a whatever he's sitting back with a just Matt can you look up Banksy's face I just want to see anybody knows you're probably going to see something on exit
Starting point is 00:42:34 exit through the gift shop or images no no like some people are saying that he might be one of the rage against the machine guys because some of the quotes that were caught on this thing his art the only footage of Banksie's face
Starting point is 00:42:51 he's got a towel over his face No, that's not. You don't think so? Nah, no, no, no. Motherfuckers really think they're special. Who? Banksy. He is, though.
Starting point is 00:43:04 I mean, if you really are like that, I kind of, I encourage, I encourage you guys to look at, to look at, to look at exit through the gift shop. And then there's another, exit through the gift shop is, is one of Banksie's like, a documentary on Banksie. And then there's another one where he did this tour in New York. That is fire. Yeah, the two, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, you know, he's a movie. York tour one was really fucking dope because essentially he did the same thing as here.
Starting point is 00:43:29 For example, he he had one of those street vendors sell artsy paintings, but look, look that up as I'm saying this, Matt. Street vendor, he had like a bunch of like banky look-alike pictures. And three of those were actual original banks he works and people went up there and bought him for like Banks in New York documentary. No, Matt. street vendor fourth time
Starting point is 00:43:57 he's grilling Matt today he is grilling Matt today he is grilling Matt yeah this this was good Banksy does New York is really fucking good actually through the gift shop's really good
Starting point is 00:44:09 but on this on this Banksy New York one the street vendor wall sells each each canvas click on images or that's fine each canvas sold for $60 right these sold for $60
Starting point is 00:44:23 and no one knows if it's the original or not until he said until he he posted him on his Instagram saying yeah these were mine holy shit 160 seven hundred and seventy five thousand dollars for sixty bucks yeah he's just it it seems like he's just for the people yeah which is why people like him so much maybe yeah I mean I mean his political statements obviously have a have a ton to do with with his is you know what's a Trump but look again listen he What's they? Are you voting Trump? Yes, he's voting Trump.
Starting point is 00:44:57 We were talking about that, me and HECC got food right before this. We're like, do we purposely start talking about politics? And then, guys, in the comment section below, let us know. The way that we ended the podcast was, guys, we don't know who to vote for. Maybe you guys can convince it. And then he's like, discuss it amongst yourself in the comment section. Yeah, there's just 10,000 comments. I know who I'm not voting for either, which is also an inflammatory thing to say, which I love saying.
Starting point is 00:45:22 which I love saying. I was in Hutch's chat saying. Of course you're not voting for either. A few podcasts ago, or flycast ago, we were with Bose talking about politics. And we were with a sentence that's never been said before. We were with Bose talking about politics.
Starting point is 00:45:40 And we and and I mean, obviously the top comment, which I appreciated the top comment was the flycast feels like a discord call at 4 a.m. Which is dope. Yeah. And I'm like, okay. At least somebody. gets it yeah because there were other people that were like it's really such a shame that you guys
Starting point is 00:45:55 feel this where you guys are like okay i i also get that but like i also don't care that much because we're just gonna i'm glad shoot the shit i'm glad someone sees it of that because even with our flycats with shotsy yesterday of course like i have nothing else to do so i just freak out in my head the rest of the day and i was like did i like not let shotsy talk enough i was like i feel like i kept talking and like i don't know if i let him talk i should add more questions to get him more involved in the podcast. Dude, you know, the only... This whole thing is, was literally me and Hitch just sitting down.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Like, we're not sitting there. We're not professional interviewers to try to get on the world. You want to see good interviews watch around the bar. Because watching your shit, I mean this. Watching your shit makes me want to be better at the eaves, I don't do the eavesdrop, but it made me want to be better at the eavesdrop because I've interviewed karma so many times. And most of the time I'm getting to know them, but I understood the value and how entertaining his perspective on
Starting point is 00:46:51 call of duty specifically but like it was really good you guys should go watch it I'm uh I know that I guess these two guys up a lot and I'm I'm not saying it because they're part of my team or like I literally I was gonna say I was like we literally get nothing out of it right okay but it is it is really good
Starting point is 00:47:10 but that shows mad fun but yeah but but your your line of questioning or the way that you like you're really good at that And I can't even look at you in the ice and say that because I'll say that. But anyway, it's, it was really good. You should watch it. I love, I love how, how karma was just like, yeah, but they're not me.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Dude, when he said that, I was like, I'm actually going to hit up my, my boy Wampas who makes the edits. And I was like, dude, that should be a drop. It's so cold. They're not me. Boom. And then it's just, dude. But the thing is, it's like, it's like, the fact that he says it, he says it with confidence. and he has the accolades to back it up
Starting point is 00:47:50 just makes it that much colder. Why do you? Why do you say that? He was talking about coaches. He was talking about coaches and I was like, he was like everybody just sucks. Like coaching? Yeah. Or something like that and he was like,
Starting point is 00:48:02 oh, he said the top, the top four teams are all coached by people who played. People who played and people who were good at playing. It was like J-Capt Crowder, whatever. And I was like, I was like, oh, so you think that, you know plays a factor into being a good coach and he was like yeah he was like they're all coaches but they're not me yeah well he was talking about it from a from a player perspective and and
Starting point is 00:48:27 how they respect him for what he's done yeah 100% and you got to think about it and you're like abs so fucking looting yeah yeah um that makes sense that's like i mean Steve kurt coaching like people you're gonna listen to what he says that he was fucking like that yeah yeah yeah one and number two at just the last halo event It's a fucking runner. Look at the running shoes. Elamite who won multiple events, lunchbox won multiple events.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Too highly respected people. Can't really. I don't know how these motherfuckers do never play professional. I don't even know. Don't go too crazy now. There's still people. I saw I saw you about to fucking go in on coaches who have never played. There are some good ones.
Starting point is 00:49:08 I was going to say like Royal One has won many championships. Did he play? Did he play? I actually don't know. I mean, he might have played and got like top 32 or something. Boy, he's a good-ass coach. Like, it is possible to do it. No, I agree.
Starting point is 00:49:23 Of course. Of course. But that is funny, Damon said it. Because I ain't going to lie. Damon, when we announced Damon was coach, I was, I didn't look at it. Like, this will be good for the Cod team. I looked at it like, oh, let's, we're keeping Damon intertined with the call the duty community.
Starting point is 00:49:45 It's like a smart move for us. And it makes sense because, like, they don't really need a coach anyway. Who gives a fuck? No. That's what I said. I said the same thing. We're doing. And then he was like, uh, he was like, yeah, he was like the first year I came on.
Starting point is 00:49:59 I was like, whatever. But then, like, the competition came in coaching. And I asked him, I was like, do you see it as a competition between you and the other coaches? And he's like, that's when he was like, no. Like, there is no. There is no. Yeah. I know.
Starting point is 00:50:12 Exactly. It's like, that's kind of what he was saying. I would want to hear his thought. and why what makes him better or like what because i i'd genuinely genuinely be interested of like what obviously i think his cod knowledge exceeds theirs yeah but it's like in a coaching way how does he implement that into his team i'd like to because he's bro because he literally knows the game you know what i'm saying and he knows it not because he knows it because it's his nerd shit, right? Like he was telling, he was telling the story how he plays, he doesn't play Ross because he
Starting point is 00:50:46 spends 24 hours defending. Like, think about all the games that he plays just for fucking fun. Like, he's just a gamer. So when it comes to Call of Duty, when it comes to competitions, when it comes to his accolades, like now, now he's going to be competitive because now everybody else is going to say, oh, you don't think that I'm competitive. So now they're going to say, you know what I'm saying? One of the things that I will say on the, on the TP and him choice, it was like, everybody should know and I'll reiterate right now. My response. for TEP not only as as who he is as a person but his hard work ethic what he was to us as a teammate nothing but love and respect but when I when the choice was up it was karma the whole
Starting point is 00:51:27 time there was never no no the fans may have read it may have been saying that yeah I just remember the fans talking yeah but it wasn't it was karma all the way do you know why well people are saying are they going to have TP coach or opting nation team at the team at the time was at the time was Damon Teepie Karma Karma No, Damon Yeah, Damon Teep Kill a Miracle that thing
Starting point is 00:51:49 Oh yeah Or something like that Bose, Bose No, okay there was some Regardless Regardless It was the two of them Were on the team
Starting point is 00:51:56 The reason that it was karma all the way Is because Karma in Black Ops 2 Like his movement His sniping was just Something that I fucking I'm like I'm like He is he would
Starting point is 00:52:08 Damnin was insane On this fucking team And it was like literally boom and also we needed somebody that was going to be like a dirty do-it-all the same way that nature was a little bit of a dirty do-it-all right so the way that was he though yeah dude when damon before damon was on that team he was like the slayer of that of the why is joe wearing a fucking hoodie is like it's it's a 90 it was cold i was about to go find a hoodie before this podcast he's swagged he swagged out got the vameros on um but yeah no to clear that up also
Starting point is 00:52:41 there was a i don't i gotta talk about i want to do i want to do a uh a talk a just talking a just talking stream in which i go and i i go look at other people's comments about optic because i saw one with uh with uh what's they called the break what's not the breakdown what do they do pat for for deserto there's a deserto one that james used to fucking host breaking point yeah no whatever one of those two but no i can see the logo reverse sweep
Starting point is 00:53:09 reverse sweep yeah reverse sweep yeah reverse sweep where where Pat was like they literally had a championship team and they picked like who do the fuck he like he was questioning why I kept on Nate shot instead of putting in like the old complexity team in the same in the same thing right like why did I wait so long to put Carmen or something like that instead to replace Nate shot and I'm like there's no way he's no like literally like that and there's no way people don't get it still no whatever but I was just like I'm like Like it's obvious. Look, look, it's obvious.
Starting point is 00:53:42 Like, it look at, look at no, no coach in the WMBA wouldn't take Caitlin Clark. Not just because she's fucking. I don't know. WMBA's weird. Those motherfuckers hate on Katie's Clark. Yeah. The fans love her, but like the other teams don't fuck. Apparently the jersey sales for Caitlin Clark in Iowa are.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Bigger than the Cowboys. Yeah, bigger than, bigger than the Cowboys. I want a, I want a Caitlin Clark. Dude. Oh, dude, I would rock a Caitlin. The only NBA, the only time I've been interested in the NBA is when the three-point master came to play. Okay, no offense.
Starting point is 00:54:18 No, like, I got nothing, yeah, nothing against the WMBA. Like, I'm glad. I get you. I have a daughter and I want her to fucking be inspired by women and powerful women, empowered women. But I ain't watching that shit unless Caitlin Clark's out there crossing motherfuckers over. Period. I'm a fan of women's sports. I like it.
Starting point is 00:54:38 a lot of people are just like, dude, if there's a woman play, there's a woman playing, I don't want to watch it. No, I don't think I would like that either because, like, I watched every single fight on W, on, on,
Starting point is 00:54:48 on, MMA, every, every UFC with, with, with, with, with women. Alex Morgan retired this week.
Starting point is 00:54:54 She's like one of the soccer goats for pregnant. Pregnating. United States. She's welcoming her, her newest kid, right? Double check me on that.
Starting point is 00:55:02 But, uh, yeah, look, legendary player. She's a legend. I saw a TikTok edit of that. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:55:08 tearing up. I was like, I don't give a fuck, but it's just, about Alex Morgan. But you just, because you, like, I don't give a shit. I don't know what to soccer and I don't care about her, but it's just like, maybe it's just the music and the edit. And then you start thinking of like, it starts showing them as a kid. Yeah. Hi, I'm Alex Morgan. There's a she is retiring for the sport after a legendary career due to being pregnant with her second child. I actually didn't know that was why. Yeah. Dude, the amount of fucking information that I retain from just like reading three seconds of a fucking swipe. Yeah, what the fuck? How did you Sane.
Starting point is 00:55:39 I mean, I knew that she was done. She got her last cap for the United States team like a couple, like a month ago. And now she retired from club ball too. So I bet you she's she's probably going to have a better career starting now. If she wants to. Apparently didn't Tom, didn't Tom Brady cast it?
Starting point is 00:56:01 Apparently it was not great. Yeah. Casted what? The NFL game. Well, think about it. Even when it just kicked off. There is a massive difference between casting and hosting, right? Because hosting is, if you put him in a Manning Brothers set.
Starting point is 00:56:19 Yeah. In a club Shay set. Oh, sure. Yeah. Then you're going to have a little bit more. But play by play calling is is incredibly difficult. It's very difficult. It's tough to do and it's tough to practice.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Like that's what was difficult that I found new, new respect for? Hosting. Fuck yeah. And I'm going to tell you why. Not because there's so many outside elements that go into it. Like if the teleprompter's fucked or if somebody's in front of the telephone, I'm saying exactly what went wrong for me. If the timing of,
Starting point is 00:56:50 Oh, it's chirping and I was so fucking, you know, as you're talking and someone's talking in your ear at the same time, and you have to finish your thought and hear what they're saying. So you can go into the next thing. Dude, it's hard.
Starting point is 00:57:01 It's tough. And I was telling Seth, I'm like, and I told Puckett. I'm like, man, we don't fuck with Puckett. And I jokingly, ever seen Puckett and I go way back yeah yeah every time he was like he goes against the
Starting point is 00:57:10 green wall fuck that so I told him like I'm like listen man you got to stop doing that he's like you know I'm just doing enough to get people yeah you know it will stop stop it but anyway he like he shirt but us Sherpa shirt bud he was our Sherpa and it was like I felt well taken care of I felt like I was on a hiking and I was not going to fall off that cliff I guess the fuck it's the goat we're gonna make it somebody's gonna make a doc about pocket one day yeah this should be I feel like I feel like I feel like he almost like disappeared for a few years. Or maybe he was just in a different...
Starting point is 00:57:41 No, he went to Overwatch. That's why you think he disappeared. He went to Overwatch and made a gazillion dollars. Because nothing exists outside of Halo and Call of Duty. That's a fact. I'm kidding. Like, I'll see other East or other... Name like a esports org that's just not involved in Halo or Call Duty or something.
Starting point is 00:58:02 But like... TSM. DSM. Like, I'll be sitting there. I'll be like, what do they do? which is crazy I know that's a crazy
Starting point is 00:58:10 sentence you want to know you want to know what I you want to know what I do as a as a player of the game and also like and I mean the
Starting point is 00:58:19 owning the organe I go I know whoa you do a lot no no no that's not what I'm fucking
Starting point is 00:58:25 saying because I like truth be told you don't I do but anyway I go and I'm like I'm like
Starting point is 00:58:31 how the fuck right I'll be thinking how the fuck and then I go to their YouTube channel and then I'd see
Starting point is 00:58:36 their views and I'm like there's a separate channel for this. There's a channel. I'm like, why do you have so many separate channels? Look at the views. Why are they doing this? Like, I think to myself and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:58:44 I would do this so much more differently than they do. But there's a lot of people that are doing like good work out there. There's a who won. I don't know if it was, I think it was like YouTube channel. It was like some Indian cultured YouTube group. Soul. S.
Starting point is 00:59:01 I was like, who the fuck is soul? Yes. And then I click on it and then I see their views. like, damn. They've won it like three years straight. Three years straight. Content,
Starting point is 00:59:10 content team of the year. They're fucking killing it. Now, I have a bone to pick, and I know that we're going a little bit over and we should end soon. I just live in a bubble. I'm going to tell you what. This new day and age of content creators, as a creative person, like sometimes I look and I'm like, you play in a video game and recording yourself is not content creation. You're not creating content.
Starting point is 00:59:34 You're making videos, but that's not creating content. It can be considered that because people are consuming it and is that, but you're not out there creating something out of thin air and putting it out there. My vlogs are not content creation. It's named that way, but it's just me documenting my life. And that's a content creation would be. I was going to say, so what's content create? Content creation. I'll tell you what.
Starting point is 01:00:04 If you look at Van. Blank C. Go look at Van Nistad. Go look at Casey Nice that. Go look at people who are actually creating something out of, like actually a storytelling opportunities. Highlights that happen in a stream that's funny is consumable entertainment, but you like something gets created, but you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:00:28 I don't know what you're saying. To put that in the concrete, to put something like someone clipped a few things out of a video game video that they did. To call that content creation and then they also call something like what Casey Nice at or what's his name Vaughn Van Van Nyset that. To both to call those both content creation
Starting point is 01:00:50 it feels like a insult to that. It feels like an insult to them. I think I think if you compare a React video to a to a Kaysenat stream it's very different. Also Kaysenat has a fucking set.
Starting point is 01:01:07 No. He's ideated a content crew. A thousand percent. Think about, think about him. What about him. Him getting kicked out. And I don't know exactly what happened or why, but I just from shit that I've seen
Starting point is 01:01:19 scrolling. Yeah. Of him going into the U-Haul because he, that is genius. I have had, I have a, I don't know if you guys feel the same way. But working or being involved and then also working in this industry for going on like what, 17 years. know, I've seen the top person. I've seen like what, I think like eight or nine of them at this point.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Like the top streamer, the top, like the top YouTuber. First it was PewDie Pye. Then it was Ray William Johnson or Ray William Johnson PewDie Pied, Mr. Beast now. Yeah. And then streaming, streaming I've seen the same thing. I think Kai is the best number one we've ever had. 100%. And I don't even watch your shit.
Starting point is 01:01:59 But I'll tell you what. I think it's, I don't even think it's close. What is like your, you're probably Kai. No. So like what did you? like the ascendance of like the stars, the stars in the, in that. Because I'll give you an example.
Starting point is 01:02:11 For me, Gris was the first one that went like, at least viral enough for people to be like, everybody knows Gris. Yeah. And then after that, it was Hutch. And then after Hutch,
Starting point is 01:02:21 and I mean like people that were, they were breaking through the, yeah, the viewership records. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then it was, it was Hutch. I'm not going to put optic in there,
Starting point is 01:02:31 obviously because of obvious reasons, right? I hate to talk about it. Nade was one of them. Hold on. So it was, it was, it was, it was, it was, uh, gris, hutch, Nanners, nade shot fucking massive. Like he was the first, like, in my opinion, in the America is the first true, uh, Eastport superstar.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Uh, and then after that, I would say, obviously the, the Sump era, then Ninja. Yeah. Uh, and you can even say that because scump, scump, scump's like in his own. Yeah, scumps weird. Sex in his own, he's in a novel. He's in his own category, and I know, like, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't talking about him in, like, a third person is, I feel kind of weird because, like, I fucking see him every fucking day.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, like, he is, like, uh, like, the motherfucker's timeless at this point, right? Like, he's, he's, he's, he's an anomaly. I don't, and, and I know Seth well enough where the number one spot, like, I think, I think, I don't, obviously, I have no idea, but I think those number one people, their legacy, means a lot to them. Yeah. Like,
Starting point is 01:03:37 that's why whenever people go at Ninja, you can see that it bothers him. Like it bought, and it shouldn't, but it does. To this point, though, to this point,
Starting point is 01:03:47 no one has been a, I mean, you can't, you can't consider. You'll never be able to replicate what that, what 2020. No.
Starting point is 01:03:54 And sure, there's like the COVID happened. Everyone was indoors. Everybody was like, yeah. And whatever, but no, Ninja,
Starting point is 01:04:01 Ninja, Ninja is like far, like he is, he is, he super. Sonic fucking Ultrono. He went on a world tour. He was on Ellen and Jimmy.
Starting point is 01:04:08 He was like, look. Kai, Kai, from a gaming perspective, maybe PewDie Pie, but PewDie Pie didn't break through the way the ninja broke through. And think about that when I say that because PewDie Pie is fucking PewDie Pi. He did. Everyone like no, he doesn't even count. You shouldn't even count him as a thing because he's his own fucking anomaly. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:33 You know what I'm saying? So to compare Beauty to Ninja is like not even fair to either of them because Ninja, dude, ninja's fucking like Yeah. My response.
Starting point is 01:04:45 I remember and I don't, I don't, if I compare like Ninja and Kai, Kai Sinette might get the views Ninja had and subscribers ninja had but there was something about when Ninja was like, yo,
Starting point is 01:04:59 Ninja streaming with Drake. Everyone goes and sits at their setup to watch this fucking moment. I get, and I was there. We did it together. You and I did it together. We were like,
Starting point is 01:05:11 Ninja's playing with Drake. We're going to watch it together. We all went over to one apartment. I think we came to me and Aaron Creight's apartment. We all just sat on the couch and watched Ninja playing with Drake. It was that much of a fucking moment.
Starting point is 01:05:21 And I don't know if I'm living in my bubble again. No, no, no, no. But I will say that. It's like the world stopped to watch Ninja play with fucking Drake. I will say that has happened. And I do, that was such a moment in time. in streaming but kai's done that four times now but it's regular now it's acceptable now
Starting point is 01:05:39 consistent no but it's acceptable sure he's got niki manage he's at fucking kevin heart people want to come yeah yeah yeah because they see like oh wait this is good for us yeah but only because the fucking ninja effect fucking happen bro like think about it right like and i was talking actually i was talking i was talking with with brendon dun and matt wellty about this at dinner because they're like, they're curious about the gaming space and all that. And they've had Ninja on the show. And I'm like,
Starting point is 01:06:09 yeah, I mean, those, those, like, that was, that was an era in gaming. And we've,
Starting point is 01:06:15 I've certainly been around long enough to have experienced call of duty at two, at three, at four, five, all the way through and, and, and how it grew, the integration of YouTube into call a duty,
Starting point is 01:06:25 you know, all that. Yeah. But there are moments in which, like, there's elevations or mega bleeps in the, in, in,
Starting point is 01:06:32 in, in the, in the, in the, in the, in the, and the Ninja one just has not been matched. And you can you can tell me that, you know, think of Vanos, right?
Starting point is 01:06:40 Vanos, legend, obviously, like also, my respects. Like, he was getting 300 million views a fucking month. Oh my God. But it all, but it never felt the way that it felt when Ninja was fucking doing his fucking thing. Did it have, that something have to do with the fact that he's actually fucking really good and was a pro at some point. So he's really fucking good. Was he better than you in Halo? No.
Starting point is 01:07:02 Okay. See, easy. So what was it about it? What was it about it that elevated him? And my answer is like, who fucking cares it happened? We should be thankful that it happened because it elevated us for sure. Well, the thing is he elevated to that high sitting in his gaming chair playing the game. And it's different when like-
Starting point is 01:07:20 Which is insane. And I don't even try to compare Kai and Ninja because Kai is top two streamers of all time, in my opinion. Probably the best of all time. I think he's the best. No one else. No one else. Actually, when it comes to streaming, Kai is the best. Guy is a better streamer than Ninja.
Starting point is 01:07:38 Just because... Yeah. I get everything... Kai doesn't just, like, jump in a game with his boys. And, like, he's creating a fucking... Atmosphere for himself. A story. There's something different almost every time he streams.
Starting point is 01:07:55 I don't even know what the fuck my point was going to be. But the fact that Ninja did what Ninja did by... just sitting at his computer and playing with his boys, that's fucking insane. No, so, because I also, I also think Ludwig's an insane streamer,
Starting point is 01:08:09 but when he broke Ninja's record, it was through a sub-a-thon. So, like, every time Ninja's record kind of gets broken, people always, like, those,
Starting point is 01:08:18 these little kids always flood into Ninja's chat, and they're like, did you know your record just got broken? And then Ninja, it's weird because, like, he kind of is like, I feel like I have to defend myself right now.
Starting point is 01:08:28 Nah, fuck that. But I don't think he has to. I don't know every time I see a clip and I know it's just a clip that comes out of context from one of his 10 hour streams. Yeah. And like a three second clip from one of his 10 hour streams is just like, dude, people are like, ninja salty. I'm like, what was the last time you watched a full ninja stream? Like this sub-a-thon shit's a cheat code.
Starting point is 01:08:49 Or at least for some people. For some people. Yeah. Who have a certain. Some people just have certain communities that just give fucking money. To wrap it all up. Yeah. When you take somebody else's content and not uploaded.
Starting point is 01:09:01 your fucking clips channel don't consider yourself a fucking content creator okay yeah i i i i've seen i it and look keep doing it i don't give a fuck all right upload this clip to your fucking channel make your fucking paper make your paper this is my youtube channel make make your paper off other people's fucking work yeah cod clown but do not call yourself a fucking content creator and by all means don't call yourself a fucking influencer because that's just fucking influencer word cringe get in the comments below be sure to let us know who to vote for let us know who we
Starting point is 01:09:37 should vote for discuss amongst yourself whoever the top comment is whoever the top comment is down low that's who I'm going to vote for yeah yeah I'm not looking at in the company somebody write
Starting point is 01:09:51 Trump and then somebody write Kamala whoever has the most likes is who that's the we're going to vote for it they're going to vote for yeah so go ahead and somebody I do that. I'm not voting for fucking anyone. You're not going to fool me.
Starting point is 01:10:05 I'm kidding. Ladies and gentlemen, that's going to do it for episode 191. Thank you to Rocket Money for sponsoring this podcast. We will see you next week. Hey!
