Welcome back to the Optic Podcast episode in 92. I'm here with Big Dick Bob and then the other two as well. Pleasantly average. Pleasantly average. Pleasantly. All right, so the big news, I think we hop right into it. Well, first of all, before we do that, Bob and I got back from Callad Duty Next,

and you guys were on the agenda to be there. I don't know why I was on the list. The flight got canceled or something? I did not say I was going. And, okay, I was getting a lot of hate for not going, but people don't understand. I was in L.A. from the 11th to the 13th. Yeah, no, you were growing.

And I was shooting one of the coolest things that I've ever shot. When it comes out, people will forget that I was not at Call Duty Next. That's a good point. That's a good point. Trust. Like, I tried to tell my stream when I got back because, like, a lot of people were heated at me. But I was like, just wait. Like, give it a month and a half. You'll understand.

Give it a month and a half. And y'all will understand why I didn't get it. But also, y'all got to play the beta immediately. Yeah. It's way. What you guys did was way better. Yeah. Right.

We're at Cold Dutty Next. We have to fly home. Like, my shit wouldn't have been set up for the first day. of the beta. Like I had all my stuff set up, ready to go, first day. Yeah. I woke up. So it worked out. I mean, or yeah, for me, I thought it was like you're going to playtest it

with just like the pros. That's what I thought. That's also what I thought. I didn't know people were... Yeah, no, I didn't know it was like, oh, you guys are going to broadcast, play World War II. I didn't know was that. I didn't know people were streaming. Really? Yeah, I might have stayed. Because, well, the thing is, I would have been there, all of the 13th, doing nothing, because 13th, we

flew back. Fourteenth was the rehearsal, I think, for it. And then 15th. So I'd have been there for an extra like two whole days and I mean I was just like I want to go home yeah I mean yeah yeah because you guys have been doing a lot people don't know how much you guys been doing in your off season you're all supposed to be chilling dude

they're texting me yesterday he's like they got you grinding you grinding you got me out overtime damn this is supposed to be my chill time which I have got the chill I've got to chill quite a bit but yeah cotton I mean cotton X was fun dude we walked in and there was 200 double PCC

setups that's 100 it's about 400 PCs right that's how yeah that works hey oh quick mad man that shit must have cost so much money dad dude what was that what just the whole setup like the whole I mean flying everyone out there all the PCs all individual rooms dude I just wish that we put we were there and then we left I wanted to stay for a little bit longer I wish we stayed for like like another day or two just to like hang out with everyone because I was meeting people from Australia like Europe for the first time And then you're with all your homies. And then you get there.

You get set up. You play. And then you just, everyone just left. They had the Spanish scene out there. They had the Brazilian scene out there. They had like, there's another, there's another. Dude, I saw a guy. You know the guy that plays the recorder?

Dude, he was there. He was there. I was like, oh, everyone. They're pulling out everyone. Dude, he was getting, he killed Crem. He killed Cloaksie. He killed a bunch of people. He got some, he got some clips.

I'm assuming. Because the thing is is on our floor it was my room that room and then George was on the other side So George and I were texting the show I was like you hear this shit Yeah, he was like he kept us both awake Oh my god dude I don't travel I travel with a noise machine it just makes like white noise yeah that shit up I will be I will be doing that from now I'll send you a good idea especially for call the duty events because I can't I love sleeping with my fan not because of like the coolness but because of the noise.

But then you wake up, you say the phone dead, and you're late for your scrimms. Well, if you plug it in. I guess that works too. Then your phone catches on fire. Then, I mean, you're fucked. I know. That'd be, I mean, that's a good excuse, though. My phone blew up.

I'm sorry. I think Hex pulled that. He goes to me. I mean, shit. His phone actually, so Jude just told me that Hector broke his phone. He was practicing for the first pitch tonight, which it's actually tonight. This podcast won't be out tonight. Right.

So he was practicing for the first pitch, and he set up his phone like at the target, and he broke his phone because he hit it. And I'm like, what is this guy? Randy Johnson? Yeah, good for him. I mean, Jesus, I'm going to go out there. Do I lob it or do I gun it? You gun it. You've got to gun it.

their next match go and do an autograph session like people they would start a line what did you say if you lose I mean we didn't even really care honestly no it's just had to be done it had to be done like it was like I think I'm pretty sure it was a sponsor thing it was like MLG flew the teams out

and the teams and because they flew them out they would have to do autographs and it didn't matter like if you were mid-tournament we could have just lost the match and they'd throw us out there like they would literally be in winners if they lost and we're going to losers, they would still have to do the autograph session. And imagine Krim.

Are you just vibe killed? Like, yes. How do you feel after you lose? No, it's vibe killed. Not good. Then they're like, yo, you got to go sign autographs. And like, the fans, they come up and they're like, you know, they expect me to be happy. And I'm just like, dude, we just fucking lost.

Like, I'm going to try to be as viby as I can. But like, you got to understand. We just got rocked. Yeah, that's that. That's a crazy thing to look back on. Yeah. I don't think that would happen now. I don't think that'll ever happen again.

If we were to do them next year, like there's no way it would be before a match. If we get a major next year, it'll probably be, that's probably when it would happen. But it would be after our match, like for the day. In the CDL, you only play once usually, except like if you lose your first match or if you start losers, whatever. Yeah. All right, let's talk about the model for two. First of all, how did you like the gameplay at Cod Next? It was pretty awesome.

I mean, the multiplayer, I didn't really, I mean, I'm more of a war zone guy, so I don't even really care about the multiplayer, but the war zone is pretty nice. See, yeah, that's, I was more interested in the multiplayer. But happy medium, ground war was dope. I do like ground war. Ground war's pretty dope. Agreed. What are you all giggling about? The game's great.

Another, here we go again. 10 out of 10, perfection. I gave it a 6 out of 10. But that's on console. Listen, all right, here are my three, like, wish lists. I want a higher time to kill, okay? A higher time to kill. Yeah.

That's not having. We need to spawn in with a plate this year. Dead ass. You actually do. Dude. That'd be a good idea. That's not a bad idea. You dive fast.

I can't imagine whenever I'm just getting, like, pre-ammed by an AR this year, and I try to, like, dolphin dive across the lake. I just get ripped. I don't know what to do. Is that dead silence? I probably my other one But those are like the main two Dead Silence

I was talking I was talking about it on stream yesterday Because we Like TST hops on and we're like Okay you know they put they put search and destroy in the beta. So I'm like, that's what we play. Let's go like, dog. It's like, it's like modern, it's like modern warfare 2019, but even worse.

Everyone's sitting in corners because they're waiting for the daddy to pop, but no one has tune up. So it's not like you can get, it's not like you get daddy every two rounds. Like everyone is just sitting in corners sound hoaring the whole time. And the crazy thing is that when I literally played the S&D and I'm not showing the first two maps that I played, everyone is just sitting in it like behind a hetty. or a corner, it is insane. Oh yeah, why would they move? But it just shows like, all right, that's like the beta. You know what I'm saying?

Like they should fix that. Right. I don't know why they are so hell-bent on not having, you know, footstep audio changed at all. It seems like they just genuinely don't want it. They want it to play. They want Call of Duty to play like Counterstrike or Valer. No, they want Call of Duty to play like Warzone,

but why give a fuck? Like separate the two. This is multiplayer in war zone. Like give us daddy. Holy shit. Yeah. Give us. God damn.

Yeah, I think. Dude, we had daddy in Cold War, right? Yeah. And that game was godlike. Did we have daddy in Vanguard? Yes. Up to 75% of the year.

You don't remember? And then they took it out and then they put it as a field upgrade. You don't remember that? Oh, yeah. And then did we have daddy in MW 2019? No. What did you just ask that?

No, I said Cold War first and then Vanguard No, yeah, no, the MW in 2019, I'm telling you right now, was the worst S&D experience I've ever had, specifically because we had no dead times. Like, look at it from RPOVU, right? Like our strat, like we can't even call a strat. We have to call a strat once we have deady, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, you have to play around daddy.

And the thing is, is at least in MW19, as bad as it was for S&D, because, for you guys specifically, because of how because there's 10 people on the map at least you guys can just make it chaotic but now there's only eight oh it's gonna be so now

now there's not that role where like you know you have someone that can lurk around the map like you can't even do that now I'm my fucking sniper this year dude the sniper's insane really yeah the sniper is insane it feels hit scan dude it's nuts you didn't like

use it you didn't pick it up bro it's like a fucking rail gun if you I'm telling you the thing just you die you get hit by it I mean think about how fast you die then it's G8 then it's

And Warzone, I think, personally, I think Warzone needs some help. But we knew that going in. They told us that, or at least they told me that, like, you know, be pretty like, I forgot what. Open mind. Be nice when it comes to Warzone because they need some help. Who said that? It's the alpha. Pretty much every.

It comes out like November 16th. That's pretty. Oh, so if it's not ready yet, then you have to give them a little leeway. Oh, for sure. Yeah, yeah. I misinterpreted that. Yeah, yeah. No, for multiplayer, multiplayer, I think. I think multiplayer is two or three fixes away from being a really great game.

See, that's the thing. I really like the maps. Like, we've only seen, what, four maps so far? And, like, every single one of them would have been viable in, like, search. I will say that. Now, the maps, like, every other, like, Cold War. Like, remember playing those maps, like Eagles Nest? You had, like, Moscow. Eagles Nest was Vanguard.

What did I say? What did I say? What did I say? Cold War, yeah. All right, well, just like... Like the ship map. The map we're on the ship. Yeah, what were the Cold War maps?

Garrison, and... Yeah, Garrison, Moscow. Yeah, Garrison, Moscow, like... Checkmate, yeah. Yeah, checkmate, yeah. Like, those pub maps, like, they just weren't fun. But, like, these ones are actually not done. I thought Cold War pubs were a lot of fun.

We want, we want red dots on the mini map and we want dead silence.

Yeah, we're at like, we're at the ground level. It's not even like, hey, can we put ranked in? Like, can you make the game playable for, that is true for, you know, and it used to be, I feel like what we used to ask for as far as us, this side of the table, because I don't know if you've ever played. Did you ever play that competitive or anything? Nope. Just pub stomping.

But I always try to put myself in the casual players' shoes because I know that's what they're putting their. self is in the casual player but it seems like even even the casual player does it's not like they were like oh yes there's no dead silence in this game it's going to be a good game you know what i mean i i don't know i feel like like you said i feel like this game that we have coming out because

there's still 12 more maps that we haven't played yet and like four did you see that there's like eight rotations or they'll fix that because wasn't that that's how vanguard was That's how MW was, right? I think that's how MW was. And they fixed it. But then they threw me on Hackney Yard, and I was trying to break P2 for my dear life. Just,

sliding behind the cop car, snake in that shit. I was like, what the fuck's going on, bro? Holy shit. There was five people on the map. But now, this game is like three,

three-ish things, like time to kill, increase, dead silence being incorporated. And then the minimap. Minimap. the gunplay felt good. I think the gunplay's amazing.

But the gun play was good in MW 2019 as well. That's true. It was really good. And what we're saying about this game, I still think, I think if you add Dead Silence as a perk and change and give us a better game type than domination,

I think MW 2019 is a top five cod. I think it's a top five cod ever made. Dead ass. I mean, I loved it. I mean, you're the last part. You won't fucking champs on it. Yeah, you're biased. But if you,

Like, if you make that game, like, playable, basically. Yeah. Like, in a sense where, like, you know, you don't have to play it the way that you guys played it all year, uh, competitively. Like, if you give a dead silence perk. Now, I agree. There were, it was a fun game besides squad spawns, no daddy. Right. The gunplay was incredible.

I thought the time to kill is pretty good. Yeah. Merck for grip was fucking cheese. Yeah, it was. That was so cheese. Whenever we took that out. That was insane. You guys got a lot of shit out, though.

I'd be hipfiring from like bathrooms into the green window. I'd just be like, I'd just drive by someone. That shit was insane. But now, I think they are going to make some changes though. Because like... And the perk system. What are you guys thinking of the perk system? I still don't understand it.

Yeah, I don't really fully... Apparently you get your fourth perk eight minutes into the game. It's like specialists. Oh, it's timed. It's not killed. It's not like specialists. You get your... So you start with two perks.

You earn your third perk. and then eventually you earn your fourth perk and you get it for the whole game. Is it time based or is it? Apparently it's score based. Oh, okay. If you change your class, does that reset? Granted every four minutes.

Oh, so they're literally time based. Oh, it is time based. Yeah, that's fucking faded. Ultimate perks are granted every eight minutes. So what people are saying is if they don't change the perk system, if they add dead silence, they're going to add it as an ultimate perk, which I think is even worse than you get deady eight minutes in. Last rotation, we got daddy boys

You would keep it the whole time You would keep it the whole time after you earn it As like when you're first bridge, no? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think they're going to change that. I hope they change it. I hope they change that. Because the sound whoring in the beta was crazy.

I would go in there. there, close all the doors and sit in a corner and just sound horror and pre-ame the three

hallways they have no chance. They have no chance. They have no chance. And then I would just, I would kill all of them and just look at the camera. Like that's just how, that's what, that's how to play S&D right now. Imagine kickoff tournaments. Oh, dude. Imagine that if it came out tomorrow.

It would be people like in, and even, I think the craziest part is crouch walking is, there's sound when you're crouch walking. Yeah, dude, that's not. imagine like Ender just sitting there cranking just Oh he's gonna be a gold day dude Just imagine Eddor just he's like You're not getting past this guy bro No shot

Oh my good But not a couple changes If the 12 maps If like three of them are decent Which I think three of them are going to actually be like good Based off the first four we've seen I think the maps are going to be good The gunplay is going to be good

It depends solely on If there's squad spawns which I'm pretty sure sure there are. Yeah, there's squad spawns. Mm-hmm. Which we've seen how that went and then Dead Silence. But if it's squad spawns, then hope, I'm hoping it, I'm hoping control will be in the game or capture the flag, but if, actually I don't know if capture the flag would work. Is terminal map? Terminal is, apparently is coming second year.

What? Okay. Or any of the like OG MWT maps? Apparently all those OG OG maps are coming second year. That's what I've heard. Okay. I don't know if, I don't know if that's true. Oh, shit Okay, oh Oh, wait, firing range E-sports gym Ain't no way that's the map name

Like, they're not cluttered like MW was or like Vanguard was, oh my God, I know what the fuck was going on half the time. There's broken walls and they're not cluttered like that, which is good. I don't know what's going to happen with the Grand Prix map because apparently Infinity Ward deleted all their tweets of the Grand Prix. What? They were supposed to, like, release at a Connext, too.

Yeah. So I don't know if something fell through with, like, F1 and Activision or something, but... That map actually looked like it would have been hella cool, just like the concept. Apparently, Ian played it.

The only thing is, is, is there's so there's buy stations and you can buy UAV, you can buy your player back or your teammate back, but you can also buy guns. And those guns are your Like load out ones

And now there's no counter to UAD Or amped or literally anything I don't think of that So I think they should just Like it was I think it's a good idea So either just add Make that by station your load out So instead of just buying a gun, you can buy your whole perk system and everything, or just bring back the loadouts.
