Starting point is 00:00:00 Are you aware sure that marijuana is still legal in the state of Texas? Go to fucking hell, idiot. Wait, I'm a dentist. Literally. I'm so high. I don't know where I'm there. Wait, I'm in Texas. We're good.
Starting point is 00:00:31 You guys are good. You guys are got to go. Welcome. Welcome, welcome. Maddie, Maddie, Maddie. I love that people know about that. now because of the flycast. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Welcome to episode number 100 and Michael Jordan of the optic podcast. Brought to you by ExpressVPN and Rocket Money and Hitch will tell you a little bit more about them later on in the podcast. Yeah, I will.
Starting point is 00:00:57 We were just talking about Embo's this trip. You already talked about a little bit on Pine Park and you went out there? No, not really. So Embo's... I want to get on the Pine Park show.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Would you come? Hell yeah. When, when? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. The coyote and shit. Actually, I may have. Do you talk about the shroom stuff?
Starting point is 00:01:15 No. Do we, sure. Sure, I take shrooms. No, I swear he talked about it before. You out in of it shit. Outed him in 30 seconds in. It's in the very beginning of King County. No, I didn't, but we could talk about it.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Is it legal anywhere? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Mushrooms? Yeah, 100%. It's legal in Cali? Just imagine a world or a country that you live in in which something that grows out of cow shit.
Starting point is 00:01:43 It's illegal for you to consume. You are in your ranch and you see a mushroom on a cow shit and you eat it and that's illegal. Like get your fucking government out of my fucking business. God damn it. It makes it so hard for being for you. You can't be a Democrat. You can't be a Republican. You can't be in the middle.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Can't like Joe Rogan. Can't like. Yeah. Don't say his name. I stop my son. You can't like tub gun. He was like, yeah. George.
Starting point is 00:02:11 You can't like Joe. Wait, who are you going to say? Jordan Peterson. I can't like anything. No. And I don't know. Again, what a chaotic start. The thing is this is like, it's a 43-year-old man.
Starting point is 00:02:25 I cannot for whatever. And listen, I am a good fucking person. I have standards. I have beliefs and I have morals. So for a fucking 21-year-old pussy. From the word pussy alimus, which means cowardness and to lack courage, not from P-U-S-E-S. says why which I personally also believe that is offensive but even then it's your favorite word to yeah exactly can you imagine a world yeah can you imagine a world anyways
Starting point is 00:02:53 you take shrooms now I'm gonna tell you my my did I ever tell my shroom story you're gonna start there you punched someone in the face yeah okay yeah yeah yeah let's not go there yeah okay okay thank God oh yeah I remember that I was recording it so how was I was I didn't know maybe it's like you told us sitting down here before a podcast I I think in the last pod we talked about it a little bit, but I didn't know the, you were telling the whole, like, I didn't know about the shrooms part. I mean, yeah, just, what do you? I don't know. LA was beautiful.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Yeah. He's back. It's like, actually nice. It was like rolling down the window just. You probably took the, you took the perfect amount. Yeah, literally. I think I did. Well, that's like, that's a step like beyond like tripping a little bit.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Yeah. But even tripping. Well, I'm bigger. So like, you know what I'm saying? Like I probably need a good four. A good four. Peace yeah no lie I hate probably want you to do the trick dude I like a couple months ago like I couldn't I was having trouble sleeping so I went to like one of the CBD places around here
Starting point is 00:03:52 because I just want to try one of these like relaxing CBD things dog I had to throw it away because I got two bags of it I don't know what was it was it Delta 8 Delta 8 the gummies yeah dog it was I was like getting high like yeah you get it's like a it's like a shitty high you get high just on a way lesser level yeah like I I was ordering like French fries at 3 a.m. Like three because I can't eat anything else. So I'm just ordering three things of French fries. And dude, I did that for like three nights straight.
Starting point is 00:04:23 And I was like, bro. And then I would wake up and I'd have a migraine the next day or like it's super like I'd be like a feel damn near hungover. I don't trust that stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I had like some human made. I had to toss it. I don't even know what it.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Bro, like at this point like in. Extracted. In Texas like just let. if we're letting that if I can go to a store right beside a 7-11 they put up for that shit for the Delta 8 stuff
Starting point is 00:04:50 like just let wheat like I don't understand CBD like that's the thing with Texas is they're all about the economy like do you get it Texas is all about the economy and making money but people will drive to Oklahoma
Starting point is 00:05:05 to get weed and play slots it's like what why wouldn't you just want that money think about why wouldn't you want that money here I don't understand that's where like the world and me and the world disconnect I never understand it but the type of people that live here also those types that are like sort they don't want anything to do with that stuff that's sort of like what Texas represents I guess I just don't
Starting point is 00:05:26 I feel like make some money in a different what where's the where's the disconnect between like you can buy any gun you want but like you can't buy a joint I don't know I think I feel I felt the effects of weed affecting your like psychology negatively really bad and I think like if someone it can't be worse than alcohol wait for you yeah when I had like a panic attack and stuff yeah or like even it just gave me like whether you want to say weeds addicting or not once I started smoking I crave smoking all the time because at that time it just made everything feel better but then once I had my panic attack that set my anxiety to a whole different level yeah and it's like even just sober.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Like it would just, I would have more. From that point of my life, I had more, I have more anxiety ever since that moment because it fucking scared me so bad. I quit smoking for about three to five years because of one instance. We were in front of Toto Riesces in fucking Mount Prospect. Okay. We're, somebody who's getting a haircut. I'm in the, I'm in the, what was it?
Starting point is 00:06:34 What was the intrepid? I was in the intrepid. and there was a bowl and the bowl was, I had to have been like 19 like, you know, younger. 19, it was a bowl and the bowl had had an alien face in it.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Okay? Attached to the bowl and like it was rigged in a certain way that was attached to a hookah valve. But it wasn't a hookah valve. It was just a valve that somebody found at a store somewhere, an Ace Hardware. And it was a long one. They Jimmy rigged it? Yeah. So I'm like, I'm in,
Starting point is 00:07:07 I'm in the front seat and, you know, we were in a part of the time where, you know, it was, it wasn't, nobody gave a fuck about that area. No offense to my prospect. But I'm like this and I'm, my boy, Eric, is lighting it up and I'm like, you're not feeling anything? It's not. And as I said, it's not a plume of smoke said, and I was like this. I was like, hitting. And then I'm like, and for the next 10 seconds, everything that I exhale was the thickest cloud of that. Instantly, I was like this.
Starting point is 00:07:41 I was like, I was like, bro, that's so scary. Right? I'm like, everything. And then my nerves were shocked immediately. I felt my nerves on my shins, on my feet, just like shocking. I puked and I, and I quit for five years because of that. But did you have a bad experience? Yeah, it was a panic.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Yeah, it was a panic. I never had. You were like scared and shit? That was so scared. I was so, I was so scared because I was just. What are you scared of? Like your body shutting down? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:08 I thought, I thought for sure that. I was going to have a heart attack or I thought for sure that I was never going to get back to normal. I thought that like I just thought that that was going to be a long lasting yeah a long lasting effect and it made me quit for like five years. No bullshit. And then you know gradually I started to get back back to it. But now now that I've awakened within me, like I know that the paranoia that I have is a cheat code because paranoia makes you scared of everything that could go wrong. So your brain is saying it's like this could go wrong.
Starting point is 00:08:39 this could go wrong, this could go wrong, this could go wrong. So the way that I say it is like, I already know what could go wrong. So I just won't do that. It's a superpower. I know where the pitfalls are going to be. I know that there might be cops over here because they're usually. So, you know, that sort of mentality is what I had, like going towards into my adulthood. But now it's a 43-year-old father of a 13-year-old.
Starting point is 00:08:58 I'm going to say phenom. Sorry. Yeah, a 43-year-old phenom father of a person that has been operating over the last decade plus smoking. not on the daily, just regularly and the fact that I've been able to do what I've been able to do, like it's just some people, for me, for me, for me,
Starting point is 00:09:20 it literally makes it so much easier to cope with the fucking stresses of fucking business. I mean, I don't have, I don't get like no weird effects from it. Like, not weird effects, but like I won't have a panic attack or, I got to make sure I'm like, at least got some food or fluids in me
Starting point is 00:09:36 before I smoke or I will like, that's where I'll get sick I'll get like lightheaded and like I'll have to throw up you don't feel anything negative like mentally like paranoid or depressed
Starting point is 00:09:50 I still I feel like you can you can fully function still like I could never I think maybe Indica like brings me down well there's like obviously there's like no there's like there's like no more
Starting point is 00:10:04 same shit to me like that doesn't is that isn't a thing anymore yeah there's there's like everything's a hybrid that you're smoking now. It's very rare for a normal person to get something that isn't a hybrid of both. Like there's nothing.
Starting point is 00:10:15 You'll never be able to get some some Cuban haze, which is like a strictly, wait, what was it, what was it called? Oh my God, it's not Cuban haze.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Something along those lines, but a pure setiva, you can get the same way that you can, I mean, it's very tough for regular people to get like pure Indicas for that because everything has been so, so combined to create like this incredible strains that is just like,
Starting point is 00:10:38 makes it makes it makes it. I didn't have a dispensary in LA and I pull up to it and it's literally a fucking house I'm like no like thanks GPS
Starting point is 00:10:47 thanks let me ask you something were you not with Josefo no this is before I linked up with him like you know those lands goes on some adventure I know I know I know I know it's like we're outside and he's like coming
Starting point is 00:11:01 getting out of an Uber back at the hotel yeah exactly we're like where the fuck were you yeah yeah okay well one time I went we were going get a like try to find a dispensary and it said on the maps app it said it was open 24 hours so we called an uber and we go there it was me and tc and someone else i can't remember it was and we
Starting point is 00:11:20 pull up and it's the dispensary but it's closed and i called them or it's like completely shut down i called them and somebody answers and they said oh okay uh yeah we're open what do you want and we're outside of the gate and it has a padlock on the gate yeah yeah and uh I was, I was like, I think, you know, one of us wants gummies or whatever. Fucking so weird. And then he was like, okay, you're outside the gate. I'll be out there in a second. And then he hangs up.
Starting point is 00:11:50 And I, and it is quiet in the car. And the Uber driver sitting there. He goes, y'all might want to get out of here. I was like, just go, man. Just go. We'll go home. And from that moment on, I was like, all right, no more 24 hours. No.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Really? The only 24 hour place I trust is that place. in Vegas. I can't remember its name, but that's like, well, check this out in Detroit, where marijuana is still very illegal. There was this one guy that was selling like packs
Starting point is 00:12:20 of weed out of a vending thing. The vending machine. That was so far. Yeah, out of a vending machine. The dude was, I just, I just pulled it up. He was making around $2,000 a day. What? Nothing. He's like, I wonder. What can I do that?
Starting point is 00:12:37 Bro, he, he, People will go up, put the money in, and then they will push a button. I don't know if he was standing behind there, like, doing the transaction. I think it may have been automatic, but you can go there and get those, get those packs as you can see, like, right there. How do you get, how do you get caught? Well, yeah, it was in the hood, right? It was a entrepreneurial at its best. Unfortunately, both things were illegal is what Mender Plow says.
Starting point is 00:13:00 You ever watch, you ever watch Shameless? Yeah. They, they fix up the ice cream truck and they just ride it, drive it around. and people serving people. Chicago was crazy when I got my first ever haircut in like that or south side Chicago where I walked in there was a kid sitting on a guy's lap he was smoking a blunt.
Starting point is 00:13:19 There was a guy in the chair in the barber chair getting the cut. He was smoking a blunt. I'm like, my fuck is it just in the barbershop smoking a blunt? I've never seen this. In Chicago. And it was illegal in Chicago, right?
Starting point is 00:13:30 Yeah. Up in that. Oh, yeah. They legalized it when we left. I'll do that. Like, I'm too. A bad timing. Oh, they did legalize it.
Starting point is 00:13:36 it? Yeah, when we left. Literally when we left. When we came down here. So how many are, how many are left, not legal? Texas. Like 27. Oh, so still like over it. How many legal? But is it decriminalized in a lot of places? Like, he's decriminalized in Dallas. Yeah. Really?
Starting point is 00:13:53 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Tell me, it doesn't look like he's like some photographer in L.A. Some like movie director. Yeah. It's like all black, the cab, the oversized T. He's got the, the, the, no photos. He's got a swag to him now.
Starting point is 00:14:08 There you go. This is, this is, this is, this is, this is what you're looking at right here. I mean, it's mostly states no one cares about. Yeah. Texas, everyone cares about. Besides Texas. Yeah. Everywhere I've lived.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Georgia, South Carolina. Georgia, North Carolina, Texas. Indiana. Like, no one cares about those states. Damn, Indiana. I mean, yeah. Shotsie didn't know Maine was the state. That's right.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Oh, yeah. That's my boy. We started on the educational system. That's like, The government is going to sit here and tell us that we can't smoke weed or that we can't do shrooms. But at the same time, they're going to teach our kids the fucking most asinine fucking bullshit ever. Yo, did you know? You're going to tell me that you can print trillions of dollars to tax us trillions of dollars?
Starting point is 00:14:54 I've been seeing TikToks on that. Matt, can you look this up? I saw on a TikTok or like an Instagram real. You know marijuana. You're still illegal in a state of tax. Are you aware? sure that marijuana is still legal in the state of Texas?
Starting point is 00:15:10 Uh. Go to fucking hell, idiot. Wait, I'm a Texas. Literally. I'm so high. I don't know where I'm there. Wait, I'm in Texas. I just kept going straight.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Do bears actually hibernate? Wait, they do. I saw on TikTok that apparently that was taught to us and it's not real. No? That's what I saw. Polar bears for sure. I think it's they don't.
Starting point is 00:15:41 They aren't sleeping the whole time. But they do like find some little fucking cave burrow to chill in. Unlike Zinny, they rarely urinate. Oh shit. So they seriously don't eat or drink. Okay. How long is that though? Well, it's because they're living off of the fat from.
Starting point is 00:16:03 You know what I mean? Yeah. So much. Okay. So, the TikTok, don't, don't. It's like, all they do is eat. If, if, if the bears can eat and they've been doing just fine, why can't I just eat and continue to do just fine?
Starting point is 00:16:16 Yeah. Or just why can't, you got to go find the food. Take, they probably walk 80K steps. Since I got my tooth pulls, I'm pulled them on like day. You'll tell me that story. Tell the, tell us the straight water. Day six. There you go.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Clutch some fucking. Why, why with your, could you, would, would it hurt to drink? I mean, I could drink something. but I was just like on water so I was like yeah wait so what happened like which tooth was it in the back day fucking five 55 days a come on man wait what happened to you what happened to you let's hear it I mean I'm gonna let the I'm gonna let the video show holding the cards close to you chest we still got 10 days left you know it's not going perfect never does though never does but we do the best with what we have
Starting point is 00:17:08 under the circumstances we were given. Damn, spitting. We'll see. I just hate this. I don't want to talk about it too much. You hate this? I'm going to try to make it dramatic and shit. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Wait, who's editing it? Are you going to do one of these? Who's editing it? Look at the camera like. Hitch? Hell no. Lando's, we're going to, like, piece it together, and then I'll probably end up getting some editor.
Starting point is 00:17:31 Lando from What is he fucking The guy Who's Landon Norris The fucking F1 Fucking racer Yeah the guy
Starting point is 00:17:39 Who's been helping you Out throughout This whole thing Yeah Um He's gonna edit it He works with like The Boston Breach and stuff
Starting point is 00:17:45 Yeah What is this What is this seven year old Call of Duty prodigy Click on that And I want to know Who he is And you're gonna start
Starting point is 00:17:51 Shit talking to He ain't He ain't even that good He's that He's that He's a Oh Routy Rogan Yeah
Starting point is 00:17:58 He's a face He's a face guy A little talent Yeah A little poison. No poison. Yes. And Gringo Jr.
Starting point is 00:18:06 too. Fucking low poison is playing like Halo Infinite again. And he's been like uploading clips of like formal saying like he probably fucking cheated or something. Like you pretty sure he's using a modded controller or something. It was like formal saying that this guy has just been was uploading like mad clips of like stuff different people have said about him. And he's like trying to make his return.
Starting point is 00:18:26 He's making his comeback. He's just fucking like 38 now like somehow move through time and he's older shit. He's older than. you know but it's funny how he's like he tried calling formal out and I asked formal about it he's like yeah no we talked it out we got beef no more that's if if bro siff think about this because he was the seven year old that was whatever pro and ff a whatever look look at the formal you know now do you think he gives a fuck about anything that motherfucker is that he is the most even kill guy I've ever met just at all times he's just a calm dude I've never seen him freak out
Starting point is 00:19:01 Oh, yeah, I have. Only one time. I will not tell that story. It's tough for him to say it. But I did play a little game on him during that. Go on. I still have the best night out in LA with formal. Me, formal, me, I can't remember who else.
Starting point is 00:19:16 That's like the one time Matt's ever gone out. Back at the day, Matt's so funny. Yeah, it was legendary. It was a legendary night. He used to do some shit back there. Matt's so funny now. We would always me, lethal, mad, Iggy, BTA. never says anything to me in the hex quarters but like or we like like nod to each other but that's
Starting point is 00:19:35 pretty much it because he's when i come in he's already streaming and then when he leaves i'm streaming but one what a couple days ago i came in and i had an optic jersey on just because i had forgotten do laundry and i just grab some i just i just grab that but you won't wrap that but every shirt you owe but it was like a jersey like a jersey like not like a t-shirt and so he's playing and he looks at me he goes yo Davis why do you got that on I was like that's the first thing you said to me in a week
Starting point is 00:20:07 and I go it's laundry day and he just starts busting out laughing did I have someone's name on the back no no bro this guy fucking uh I walk in there because I can't remember the last time that I was in there in the hex quarters I go there to just pick up mail

Starting point is 00:20:52 content dude everyone does I do a video came up it was like the video where they would play we would play like a 10 seconds of a song and then you'd hit the buzzer and dude that video is so him and Brandon are so funny in that video bring those back it's got a trivia you going man dude
Starting point is 00:21:11 when did Matt morph into into Cox? I don't know they just morphed I didn't even see Matt leave I don't know I can't tell the last time I saw fucking Roger with a camera either what's going on over here resources man I tell you No, he just got brief cases now. Totally kidding.
Starting point is 00:21:30 You're watching the playoffs? Yeah, I have. Actually, it's been good. I only watch playoffs now. Yeah, I haven't watched regular season game. No, I'm going, I'm still going. The next three are Golden States. Because of the Corgi.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Put money on it. Yeah, right. Because of the Corgi. What is it right now? $50. $50?000. $1,000. $1,000.
Starting point is 00:21:48 We got witnesses. $1,000. $1,000. This will be $2,000 that you've taken from me. If you, if, if you went. what is it right now 3-1 I'm not watching at all
Starting point is 00:22:02 it's 3-1 3-1 I just watch the press I just literally all I do is watch YouTube I have blogs yeah same now I have a I have a pretty trolley tweet I already crafted up you want to hear it
Starting point is 00:22:13 yes okay so I have that LeBron jersey I think it's a Cadilliers jersey yeah I gave you you gave me I'm gonna hang up and take a picture and say that's what I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:22:23 go Lakers that's pretty good right People are gonna freak out about that one. I knew the- Those things come naturally to you? The trolly shit? Yeah, it's kind of like... It's crazy how it does mysteriously.
Starting point is 00:22:38 No, but they're like, they're like very clever and good. Like, no way you sit there and think about it. They have to come. They just come naturally. And it's always just like make, it's always like trolling people's fan bases. Like trolling like people that take it all too, a little too seriously. I love that shit. Wait, what's a series?
Starting point is 00:22:54 3-1? 3-1. 3-1-lakers. 3-1-lickers. That's kind of crazy, right? Yeah. Are the Warriors who's good this year? Dude, AD has been...
Starting point is 00:23:02 I don't even know. I hate him as a player. Watching him in, like, regular season, pisses... He is insane this series. He had, like, a rough game, too, but, like, I mean, from what I have seen. But he is, like, the last couple games have been insane. And this is... The...
Starting point is 00:23:20 Quarters. ...the-go-to-sammies. Yeah. They still got a long run. Imagine they win. That solidifies in this. They do. Are you prepping that the whole time?
Starting point is 00:23:37 No, I will solidify it as a goat. If he does it, if he does this one, he needs to go. He has to be. No question. Just no question. You can't even dispute it at this point. It's not even a conversation. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Yeah. I haven't watched any of this shit. I only watch it because Jude is like the biggest sports fan peer ever. She did. Yeah. She, we, we went to L.A. to go to Mario World. I took them on a vacation, one day vacation. Fucking super dad out here, right?
Starting point is 00:24:21 I took him on the one day vacation to over there. And Jude said, can we go to the Dodger Stadium? I was like, baby, of course. What are you want to do? She's like, I just want to go in there. And I was like, okay, yeah, we can, you know, it starts at this. I don't care. I just want to go in there.
Starting point is 00:24:32 She wants to visit stadiums. That's her thing. That's dope. But she is like a hardcore, hardcore sports fan unlike me. Not anymore. When we went to Boston. All e-sports. Boston was right beside Fenway.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Fenway? That was really cool. Just because, I mean, I don't really like baseball. I don't know anything about Boston or anything in like the Northeast like that, really. But, dude, you can just, literally, because I would walk to the venue and you walk right beside Fenway. And the whole street up to Fenway is just baseball. bars.
Starting point is 00:25:03 Yeah. Bars that are Boston themed or baseball themed. And it's just like, like, I never really have, you don't really have that in North Carolina, except for like college sports. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Just remember, you're worth it. You are beautiful. And I'm proud of you. All right. Let's get into these ad reads. First and foremost, Express VPN is back.
Starting point is 00:25:28 When you go to the bathroom, do you, you always close the door behind you, right? assuming you do, you want a little bit of privacy, as they say overseas. You don't want random passerbyes looking in on you. So why would you let people look in on you when you go online? Your online privacy is important. That's why I use ExpressVPN and so should you. That's RocketMoney.com slash optic. RocketMoney.com slash OPTIC. All right. Let's get back to the podcast. But you don't have like, and then in college sports, like, it,
Starting point is 00:28:27 It's everybody in the same city and they're all divided because they all are rivals with each other. But like if you're in Boston, you got a Boston team. Everyone in Boston is going for that team. I love that shit. That's like a segment of my life. I'm mad I missed out on because like everyone I went to high school with went to like WVU. And that's like a huge party like they wrecked the shit out of that. Who?
Starting point is 00:28:49 Yeah, Clay did. Yeah, Clay did. They like rep the shit out of that. And that's like a part like I didn't have that experience. Like I was just grinding those late nights practicing with BTH Look where I got you To the top spot Look where it got you
Starting point is 00:29:04 I mean eventually it paid off but I do wish I had that experience Did you like party or were you like a What was your school like was your school like like that? Mine? Yeah or was it like smaller? It was you and UNCG Was it like a big party school like did you get the college experience? Yes I got the college experience
Starting point is 00:29:23 But my college experience wasn't like it wasn't like frat it wasn't like the frat college like I was the only white dude on my floor and so it was the most fun I've ever had probably ever like we would do that like people would just like leave their doors open and then at like 2 a.m
Starting point is 00:29:40 everybody's just like blasting music and uh that was like nightly like every night and like I don't know how people get through like freshman year because that's all people do is just like stay up party
Starting point is 00:29:53 drink eat dude the freshman 15 I had the freshman 20 the 22 they never went away and I only went to one semester of freshman year and it was a fucking college I'm sorry community college no offense to community colleges
Starting point is 00:30:08 I went to Harper College that's where I went Harper College one semester and I just couldn't do it I'm like you know what I'm going to go with this paper school is always so hard like motherfuckers I don't know how motherfucker would get an A and a B
Starting point is 00:30:21 if I got if I just passed That was like, that was for, that was my mindset in high school, but grammar school, I got honor roll. Really? Like, you cut what? I got honor roll. Oh, I think you said Adderall.
Starting point is 00:30:36 I'm like, no wonder you fucking killed it. Dude, in, in high school, I, I ended with like straight A's and B's. Not high school. But then when I got, were you like parents on your ass about it? I couldn't even start. Especially the mentality to study. You know, I never studied. I never studied in my life.
Starting point is 00:30:51 It's so legendary. Like, that's so. legendary. Literally like it just there's tasks that are just completely out of my realm of this universe. And that studies one of them. Yeah. Damn. Dude in, in, uh, in middle school, early middle school, we had like a bonus room upstairs.
Starting point is 00:31:10 It was just one room, huge room. And I was, I was like, joke with my dad. I was like, let me move up there. And this is when I'm in fifth grade. And he jokingly said if you get straight A's all year, every year in middle school, all three years, then you can move upstairs. And I did it. I clutch my last exam or whatever, whatever it's called.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And I got straight A's all throughout middle school and move it upstairs. And then in high school, we got A's and B's. And then in the first year of college, I got a C, a B, a D. And then I think I evicted you from upstairs. Well, this is in college. I'm just saying, I had like good grades. But in college, like, dude, I could not hang. You know that like that's not normal.
Starting point is 00:31:52 what you have up there that gives you the ability to fucking say I'm gonna do something and do it I don't have that I can't say I'm not gonna eat fucking food I'm not gonna eat meat and then do it I don't have that
Starting point is 00:32:05 I'm gonna go run a mile I'm gonna go walk yes you do No I do not 10 miles impress me well I mean obviously the 30 mile walk it was like god damn
Starting point is 00:32:14 but the 10 miles I was not expecting that no I'd be fucking hot hotter right now but like no you do have that you started how many businesses have you started yeah but I don't go off like certain I don't it's like 60% I'm not giving it my fucking all ever you know I don't know what that would look like
Starting point is 00:32:33 I will say the last like two weeks like it's I don't know it's like the best sleep I've ever gotten like for sure you're running I think it's the diet more that more than anything are you eating I'm eating better see I'm fucking see I was I was following the was at the Charles two nights ago I've been eating. Pass that up. Why were you in this? Sorry. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:32:55 I mean, I haven't broken the, like, restrictions or whatever, but that doesn't mean I've been eating good. I've still been eating, like, lays chips and Doritos and, you know, cookies. But you're still not eating meat, which is, like, the tastiest of the tastiest. Yeah, but meat's still good for you. Like, if you have- Mom made some barbacoa tacos this past Sunday. And, and, oh, my God. Bro, I had a spiritual awakening. Bro, I keep sitting.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Every time I'm on Instagram and I see, like, like, a, like a. somebody like a chef making some really good meals i just sent it to hector like probably looks i can't wait man six months i'm gonna go get that right now six more months damn i guess there is a bunch of of meals that you can't eat a shit see like i can't i mean i eat clean but i'm just so hungry man dude and i can't i don't like keep myself busy enough to like not pound water i started to yeah i've been trying that's helped a lot but like i can just always eat and it's so like I I am eating completely not completely clean have you talk about it in the video but I've just I've been eating clean as fuck for the last 50 days and then it's just even then
Starting point is 00:34:06 it's still like it's hard to lose weight like it's so hard to like no okay I'm not the calories I should be at but I'm but then it's 1 a.m. and I'm like I'm fucking hungry dude that's fucking I give up I'm like I convince my mind I don't care anymore it's like I'm like I convince my mind I don't care anymore. It's like, fuck this shit. No, I don't give a fuck. And I like pissed off in the kitchen at like 1 a.m. because I can't fall asleep and I've been laying there since like nine and I'm just hungry
Starting point is 00:34:30 and I'm mad. And then it's just, I don't know. Have you ever heard of Robert Paulson? His name is Robert Paulson. He used to be, you've got to be careful. Because if you go down this path of, you know, weightlifting and getting big and not eating, when you start eating, you don't get big.
Starting point is 00:34:48 I don't know. Bring up Robert Paulson to give him a Where's Matt at, man? Matt would already have Robert Paulson up there. I'm kidding, cox. Totally joking. I'm getting fucking strong, though. His name was Robert Paulson. No.
Starting point is 00:34:59 Images? What's his? Images? What's he doing? Images? Right there. Up above the third one. That one.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Damn. That's Robert Paulson. Go down. I feel we talked about this. Scroll down a little. Oh, we talked about this on the eavesdrop. That's all. Dude, it's just so hard.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Cox. Come on, man. Good one, Cocks. But that's what happened. He was a bodybuilder that just gave up on it. Well, he was taking horse steroids. Oh, yeah. Anyway, long story short, you've got to be careful, you know, when you come down from this fucking health crime.
Starting point is 00:35:29 I hope you never do. Who's your, uh, who's your go-to, like, guy that you're watching right now on- to inspire you. To inspire you. Yeah, on YouTube. Don't say the J-word. Don't say Jordan Peterson or Antip. Don't say those guys.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Probably Chris Bumstead, who's the Mr. Olympi. I don't know who that is. Oh, that dude. Yeah, he, like, vlogs and stuff. He's just, like, a regular guy, but he just shows his vlogs. Yeah, I wouldn't, I don't know if I, listen. What the fuck? But I watch, like, any sort of YouTube or, like, I watch, I click on so many different
Starting point is 00:36:05 type of videos, like. What? Bro, I have. Is he Natty, you think? No. If I, if I stick to the fucking diet and the diet's so hard, like, I just, if I truly leaned out, like tell me how they wipe their butt. Tell me how they wipe their ass.
Starting point is 00:36:25 They go back to front, no. There is a all the way around. No, they move the junk around. You're right. They probably do. I think I saw some TikTok. I wouldn't want to wipe his ass. Dude.
Starting point is 00:36:37 I mean, that is, again, I don't have that in my brain. Bro, it looks like, it looks like he's well done. You obviously can't do that naturally. And it takes like the 0.1 percentile genetics to even get that with steroids. What? Liver king did it naturally. Yeah, right. Liver king fell off.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Well, yeah. Yeah, because he got exposed. Bro, look, this guy's got two, this guy's got two cocks on the right hand side from there. Two cocks. Oh my God, he does. That's what they use.
Starting point is 00:37:07 That's what they use for the, that's where I tuck mine in too, coincidentally. You know that's what they use for the, for the swap out, right? What? So what are they turn a vagina into a, Oh, they use thigh?
Starting point is 00:37:20 They use that. Wait, what? What you're looking at? The swap out? Yeah. I did not know that, and I don't want to ask how you know that. But I saw it on Twitter. Literally.
Starting point is 00:37:29 That's how I learned that bears don't hibernate. Twitter. The fact that we get more useful education from Twitter. It was so much better, though. It used to be so much better. Like, how many months ago? Oh, Twitter? Oh, before the 4U page?
Starting point is 00:37:43 Yeah. Yeah, yes. Well, apparently that, you know. I haven't opened Twitter. I, I, I, I, I, so. So Jude, Jude wants me to go get diagnosed to see if I have like something, like ADHD or something. It's very obvious, right, that everybody does at some point or another. The other thing is, is like, if I go and do the test, I'm going to game the test and I'm going to answer.
Starting point is 00:38:04 You know, I'm just that my manipulation skills for strangers is just so easy. Dude. Bro, I had to tell the fucking, I had to tell the eye doctor yesterday, like, don't let me fucking see the letter. I don't want to see them blurred or anything. I'm just going to memorize them. And we're not going to get the real eye check. And of course, flipping through it. I'm like, you lost already.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Like, I remember. This is letters like that. Like, I want to see a black screen and then they just pop out of nowhere. Yeah. I don't want to fucking see them blurred out. I'm going to still get it. It's a letter. I mean, you can, yeah, you can, what do you call?
Starting point is 00:38:43 This is just photograph. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, I have this shit memorized, bro. Yeah. No, it's not even memorized. It's just that you can tell the shape of it and you can just like fill in the blanks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Like that's like it's only two options, either an A or an E. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I'm pretty sure it's a easy. No, it's like a year and F. It's a fucking see it. It's an E or an F. It's an O.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Uh, uh, uh, you're fucking blind. Is that an O one? I go 10. She's like, there's no number. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Okay, then it's I. O. Thinking, what the fuck? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was the whole time I was, the whole time I was. thinking, holy shit, what was that? He's like, there's no number.
Starting point is 00:39:22 They'll put like a P and a B and an R right next to each other and you're like, ooh, that'll get you. But it's not like an O and a Z. You're not going to mix those up. Yeah, exactly. Nah, it's crazy. So, we'll see,
Starting point is 00:39:37 Face Clan members and investors allegedly selling off their holdings. Major stickers are not worth more than shares in the company. Can we just stop talking about? Twitter, like, even though I don't know something else. All right, let's move on. Go back. Go back. Cux. I saw, I saw something where that that's not even true. That they saw this shit. Jake Paul's fighting Nate Diaz. They were here. Yeah, they were here.
Starting point is 00:40:02 I didn't know they were here. They were right there. Oh, shit. Is that where they're fighting? You did you go? No, did you go? Well, who'd you go with? He said, who's your real friends? But yeah, no, bro, it didn't even look. Are they fighting here? Yeah. Yeah, they're fine here. Okay, well, we got to get tickets. Where's page at? It's like, like, yo, let me guess. 10, we can only bring 10 people.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Well, I mean, there's not making the cut. That's going to be, yeah, it's going to be very. Listen, the watch party has to make it immediately. Obviously, it's the biggest show that we have going for the company. Finally. I don't know what the fun. You guys are going to be watch party.
Starting point is 00:40:43 I never, I never. Imagine, you know. Yo, there's this, there's, uh, there's, uh, there's, uh, I. I want to, I want, Jude and I want to go to this concert for a Pesso Pluma concert. Is that what we were, is that what? You were listening to, to, uh, Chinopacas. Okay. Pecas, sorry, Chino Pecas.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Espanior. Yeah, Mexican. Mexican, Marinos. Tumbaus. Latin idiot. Some belicone shit. But, uh, but yeah, those, that, that dude's like, like, transcending. He's like, blah.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like not bad bunny shit. No, it's like, it's not like, it's not like, cartel shit. Gangster shit A Mexican artist Yeah Yeah yeah Kind of blank down
Starting point is 00:41:24 Go bring up P-E-S-O PLU-U-M-A That's very like Acoustic-y Wait I'll put him No he's Mexican Let me type
Starting point is 00:41:32 Him in my shirt Oh shit That is not what I Go to images Matt You know the deal Jesus fucking Christ Some of it
Starting point is 00:41:41 Look I'm not I'm not too big On the romantic songs Or that shit up Oh is he He's throwing that shit up He's throwing that shit up He's throwing it up.
Starting point is 00:41:49 This is where I'll go with it. Do you think that I would ever like an artist that throws hearts at their audience like this? I thought he was throwing up the seas. He's throwing up that. He's done up the shit you throw up. No, he's in this. George told me, like, he is blowing. No, it's the most transcendent.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Even in Spain, they're fucking with him. So anyway, long story short. Probably like a good artist is bringing that type of shit back. Well, no, I mean, Mexico has always had like legendary artists. The thing there, I don't even want to go into it. But what I was saying is that think about what it takes for me to to to accept new music into my fucking brain I hadn't even thought about that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:25 So this is your new. Yeah, I've been fucking listening to the whole the whole thing. And I wondered why for so long because, you know, like, my family didn't really listen to to that sort of stuff. My dad and my mom, my dad likes fucking like queen. Like all that. He plays a guitar. Like he wasn't about all like the Mexican songs and shit. My mom listens to fucking smooth jazz, yani and fucking.
Starting point is 00:42:48 John Stuart, well, John Stewart, what's his name? John. Sex guy, right? Yeah, I know who you're talking about. Anyway, long story short, like, I never grew up listening to that, right?
Starting point is 00:43:01 But, like, I heard that song on a TikTok and I was just like, oh, I'm like, oh, that sounds pretty gangster. And then I fucking listen to him more and listen to him more and listen to a more. And then I was just showing it to Jude. And then she's like, oh, my God, that's fucking good. Anyway, long story short, I'm trying to.
Starting point is 00:43:13 You're finally listening to new music for the first time since 1998. No, I, no, I, I listened, I listened to Mac Miller. He's going to tweet Peso and be like, yo, we need you and fucking. Oh, he speaks English. But I have a do, but I believe she's going to be the guy. No, no, no, no, no, I won't. Anyway, I think the best moment on the, on the Optic podcast in the past, like, years, the
Starting point is 00:43:36 jibba jabba. Yeah. I jib to jabba and his jibba. Yeah. Anyway, those, that was very, very cool. We, uh, we have a bunch of stuff. Thank you for putting it. I had a what not stream last night.
Starting point is 00:43:51 I don't want to really, it was really, really fun above anything else. Yeah. You know, any, any opportunity that I get to, to create art and, you know, sort of make money to create more art. It's like, it's like totally my vibe and, you know, doing what we've been doing for a long time gets, gets a little bit redundant. So being able to do that you have like a platform to, to do something with the walls that you've been made. Where did you do the show? And whatnot. I know that.
Starting point is 00:44:18 I'm saying you have multiple locations. My house. My house. No, it was fucking fun. I sold a faceplate, which was very cool. What else? I sold a control from 60-50 that had your autograph. Think about, I found a controller.
Starting point is 00:44:33 So we used to like, I used to make the guy sign controller so that we can go to events and give them away. And this one must have gotten packed up from 60-50 to to McAlpin. And then from McAlpin to here. because I opened, you know, the old school scuff controllers that you like on zip and it's like chip up. I opened it up and I was like, oh, cool. I didn't think anything of it. It was the one with like all bricks, green wall, Xbox one controller.
Starting point is 00:45:00 And I'm like, oh, cool. And I just put it away. I was thinking of things to also auction off on this, on this platform because I wanted to see, you know, what we can do with it as a, not just as me, but as a company. And I open it up and I'm like, and immediately I'm like, I'm like, yeah, I'm going to, I'm going to give this to someone. I can't be selfish with everything that we have. So I'm like, I'm going to give this someone. It was broken. And I put it up like,
Starting point is 00:45:22 yo, this is a broken control. But I started to think about like at what point, moment in time in our history was Flamesword, Embo's crimsix, formal scumpy, Nate shot. And I,
Starting point is 00:45:33 in the same fucking room to sign this fucking controller. Anyway, it was a really cool piece of memorabilia that somebody, that somebody bought. Holy shit. Imagine being a fucking one of the first humans. on this and heard that. The gods are angry.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Anyway, long story short, it was a really fun stuff. I think, I think that you should be doing a bunch of, bro, I have a question for you
Starting point is 00:45:59 after this, but I think you should be doing your Pokemon stuff there. I'm telling you, you should do it there. It's just so much more interactive in the,
Starting point is 00:46:05 and the amount of people that are able to just participate by swiping, it's got a fucking dope-ass chat. It's the future. No, it's a really cool. I've worked with whatnot before.
Starting point is 00:46:13 They helped a lot with the off season last year. That was awesome. But I just don't have, I'm not creating something physical that I can auction. No, but you don't have to. You can break packs there. Yeah, but you still have to, yeah. You still have to buy the packs that people are wanting to break.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Do it, then do it. Yeah. I got you. I'll help you if I can get a percentage. Is that not a fair thing to save? Let me give you fucking free money. But yeah. Anyway, guys, if you guys have, do you guys anything else up there that you guys want to talk
Starting point is 00:46:45 about? Did we note that Jake Paul says he will be done? Kind of stuck out to me. He'll be done with. Jake Paul, like boxing's that again. Because it's like, which one, I don't even, sometimes I don't even know who's who. Okay, this one. Maybe whether Muhammad Ali.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Yeah. Jake. Joe Frazier than Jake. Oh, okay. Yeah. I saw a TikTok where somebody, somebody said, somebody said to Mike Tyson, hey, Mike, Floyd said that he's greater than Muhammad Ali. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:47:15 Yeah. I saw. And what he's like, he's, he's, he's, he's like, greater. It's like, you just thinking about, thinking about being greater than somebody like that just makes you not greater. He's like, you, he's like, this guy can't go, can't walk his daughter to school. He needs body or he can't do it. Being the greatest isn't about, um, it's about being being loved by all the people, by being welcomed by the people instead of doing that. For, for as wild as Mike Tyson was when I was growing up and to see him, his podcasting, being as intro.
Starting point is 00:47:46 perspective as he is now only points to the fact that ayahuasca or the frog really makes you changes you at your very core so if you don't like it don't do it one day one day one day I'm down I am so down I have no idea what you guys do a whole trip it's it's like getting Mike Tyson said it's again 20,000 years of knowledge I'm sorry 10,000 years of knowledge in 20 minutes what what is doing ayahuasca what is that iwaska is like like a drink that some fucking shaman cooks up with leaves. Matt, Maddie's looking it up right now, obviously.
Starting point is 00:48:22 And then he gives it to you. There he is. See, but I mean, like, do we, just because Mike Tyson said it, does that make Mayweather not the best?
Starting point is 00:48:31 Because I think he was the best boxer of all time. It's, I don't, I can't, from dealing punishment to not getting hit. That's the name of the game. That is the name of the game. That's like basketball.
Starting point is 00:48:41 And becoming a billionaire and doing it with your bare hands. Not knowing how to read. That's legendary. That's legendary man. Yeah. I think with fighting because there's different weight classes, it's so hard to...
Starting point is 00:48:55 I don't know much about it. You're the best at that week class. No, he's definitely one of the best, but look, when fucking... Smoking Toad Venom? Yeah. It's crazy how you go back... I don't know if...
Starting point is 00:49:07 Every boxer, Mike Tyson was totally like... It was just a different animal watching. Oh, dude. No, he was close. He lost... Like it was weird watching him. And people still wonder if the 90s were better than any other fucking period in history. It's the fucking the 90s the best ever.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Yeah. I think I think 2000 to 2010 is probably the best in my opinion. 2000 to 2010? I think it's the 2000. What was the 20? 90 to 2010. 90 to 2009. If we're going by decades, I just went by the next decade.
Starting point is 00:49:40 2010 sounds so weird. I mean in my brain for some reason right now. I was like, but what's better? to 2009 or 90 to 99 it's close I think it's close 90 to 99 but like you didn't everything so interesting from that be be beep bean be he's just driving down fucking no traffic no bots there's no phones before they started hiring it really might the roadways that's that's why I like what is that a two thousand did you ever use a pay phone I would yeah kill to be 12
Starting point is 00:50:15 20 in like the 90s. Yeah. Bro. Oh my God. See, yeah, I would kill it to be 20 in 20, like 2005. Like, everybody's got flip phones, but they're still, they're still paying attention to each other. No.
Starting point is 00:50:28 Internet already existed. Yeah, but it's not like, it's not like it is now. 14 and 87. You want to be 15 and 87? Yeah. I get it, man. Does that be like, I want to be. Turn 18 to 90.
Starting point is 00:50:43 No, it'd be like. I want to be 24 and 96. We're just saying shit now. I want to be 19 in 1999. Oh, shit, I was. Like, I want to be in Knox age. How old were you? That was about 1980.
