It is not optimal on the competitive side of things. We play black ups too. Yeah, that's a good game. And Modern Warfare 3. I will say that this iteration of a rank, you guys haven't gotten a chance to play. You've been playing it, right? Yeah, I was gonna say,

I actually think this is the best rank system since then. It's so rejuvenizing for the competitive scene for Cod, in my opinion. And honestly, like, it's really good. Like, you're getting like these, 4V4 matches of four pros versus four pros or like two content creators. Whatever. And like it's actually getting a lot of exposure out there for the competitive scene. So I really like it.

Yeah. It looks like the best one we've ever had. Based on like, well, visually, because I think visuals are like one of the most important things. Like you want to see like vibrant colors, cool logos and cool gems that you get. Yes. You also, I'm not sure if they have it. I haven't paid that much attention.

They need to add like super dope skins like CodMobil. Have you seen the Cobb Mobile? Don't get me started. Yeah, don't even talk about it. Sorry. That is a... Okay. If they add like skins like that and you can earn things like that through ranked, we're looking at like a full-on live rank play. Because it's going to be hype for a week or two always.

We need longevity and we need people to keep playing rank play. And then next year it needs to drop at launch. But right now it looks... It's not going to. It needs to. But right now it looks like the best we've ever had. Historically, we've seen it's not dropping at start of game. I think it's used as a straight marketing tool at this point.

No, it's not even a thing. Let's discuss. No, it's not even, it's not even, it's not even, uh, they drop it strategically around this time every year. Why is that? They add an influx of multiplayer players coming back to play ranked. Marketing. Yeah.

But I'm going to tell you something. I'm glad that finally after, I mean, I think that the first time that I, that I offered this thought to, to, to Traiark and, and call it duty as a whole, when I said that, that, although they are very protective of cross-pollinating the casual audience with the professional audience, I think that the best way to, for them to be able to do, something like that. This is, I'm talking about Black Ops two days, is that there are people out there that are achievement hunters, people that are out there and saying, I want to get all the weapons, I want to get all the skins. I want to go to and get all the weapons and all the master prestigious. If you were allowed to say, this kid, right, that doesn't know anything about competitive, he gets to master prestige and sees that and then he gets into a lobby with somebody who is a diamond or a plat on league play. He's going to be like, I want that too. And then he's going to be like, well, what the fuck? How did you get that? He's like, oh, it's league play. What the fuck is league play? Then the research, we're going to be like, I want that. He's going to be like, well, what the fuck is league play? Then the research, we comes. It's not invasive. It doesn't, it doesn't interfere with the traditional and call and call duty, you know, slower audience that that doesn't play the game as fast as you guys do.

Uh, but now that they have the 250 and then as you're scrolling down, you see pro player, like that is like a perfect way to go about doing that because there's going to be a kid out there that's like, all right, I'm achievement hunter, master prestige. Okay, I'm, um, um, I'm, um, iridescent. Is that what it's called? Uh, it's a 10,000 plus. Iridium. Irididididididium. Irididid Iridididid regardless. I've always thought of it in a weird way. Let me know what you guys think, because this could be tripping. You know how parents put their kids in soccer at a young age or baseball?

Like, don't you think there's a world where, like, e-sports get to the point where it's like parents when you turn 14, 15? Yeah, me. My first born will have video games forced upon them. But what I'm saying is like I feel like that's a viable thought process in like keeping multiplayer always thriving. Like adding an extra layer to where parents want their. kids parents want their kids to play because let's talk parents all they want you to make money they want you to have a good career i feel like there's a world where e-sports in general

parents can start getting behind it a little more with things like that like oh you can go play this rank play instead of practice the hitting the tea for three hours go play ranked i could be tripping but i feel like there's a world where well one that's already that's already been tested and trying out when we did the infinite deal one of the businesses that i thought that would be a good ancillary business or the main business was to create not the pop Warner of esports which is essentially what you're talking about where you bring in your kids to that but the way that I wanted to do it was different at the time we had Jack Courage Donlop and at the time Fortyne was about to pop up what I wanted to do is

They're going to be getting activities. They're going to be engaging.

They're going to be this, that, and the other. Imagine a world in which all of these kids at the time that were like just amped on Fortnite. And you got a chance to be educated on how to be better at Fortnite at YouTube, at social media, by a freaking super. Superstar that you watch on a daily basis. Mommy, I got three head shots today. What do I mean? That was in Optic in World War II in 2018. It didn't last long. Oh, that's what I remember. Quickst didn't. Yeah, it didn't last long. Right. Quick stint. So as a player and as a content creator, it's different. It's been very hectic because I had to move from Boston, New Jersey. Set up my apartment. We had the announcement. We had the watch party. So yesterday was like the first real day where I had time to just go do shit. I bought TV, a sound bar. I went to Target and got all kitchen essentials.

So it's been hectic, but it's also been insane. I mean, obviously, the green walls die hard. So when I was on Optic in 2018, I definitely, I definitely. kept some of the Green Wall around. Like, I feel like once Green Wall, always Green Wall, they always show love and support. But then you put Optic in your name, and then it's just like this, it's literally just like this, I can tweet high, and it's just, hi's in, hi's in. Like, everyone's showing love and support. So also the people here have made it like, like Paige, Roger, Riley, like lifesavers, like setting up my, you've been incredibly helpful, like helping furniture get delivered.

And don't ever forget to give things. I've been with him the past two days of him shopping around. He's been a good friend. Yeah. Let me stay at his house for a few days. He's been with me furniture shopping. He's never gone furniture shopping with me. Dude, he's obsessed with me.

You don't. You don't need to go furniture shopping. And even if you did, you got eight dogs, man. A lot of doggies. So you're saying that I should take my dog? No, but that's a lot of dogs. You got to be mindful of furniture with that many doggies. That is true.

But yeah, it's been great. Everyone's been incredibly helpful to the point where they made a very hectic and stressful time, a lot less hectic and stressful. Had a great celebration dinner that you didn't want to come to, which it was a good dinner. Good. The celebration dinner we did at Nobu. That's right. I've been dying to go to Nobu too. That was my first time having it.

We've had so many dinners. They all just kind of. Yeah, that's the thing. We need to tone it down because as soon as I arrived, we drank like six days in a row. Not like drank, drank, but cocktails, dinner. So that was a nice first week, and now it's grind time. We've got my setup now in my apartment, so we're streaming some rank play today for the first time.

What time are you got starting? As soon as we're done with content. As soon as we get home. Like, what, around what time? I mean, we're here. It's 10 a.m. We'll probably get home at like three. We have the ease drop.

Maybe like four-ish. We have the ease drop, unless you want to do tomorrow morning to make it easier for you to go back today at three. We'll talk about it after. And of course I'm talking about me getting home at three, so I can play rank play with the old men of Optic. Because I have been carrying.

I got home on the Monday. None of us, like, actually had any official offers yet, but like we had an idea that, you know, someone would probably end up hitting us up. Excuse me. And on the Tuesday, well, I think it was Monday, actually. Monday night, I got the opportunity to scrim with Florida and stuff like the next day. I told my teammates, you know, we're not going to scrim this week because all. all of us are probably going to be trialing and all that.

And then I think it was like Tuesday was when Brandon texted me. And he texted me and I was like, well, there's nothing else I can say other than yes, you know? Like I was like literally out of loss of words. Did you scrimmed Optic during those trial days? No, we screamed with Florida. I screamed Faze, Vegas and someone else. That's how they actually got an optic.

I was going to say, imagine he's trialing. He screams us and they're like, okay, kids got game. They hit him up. But didn't happen. That would be typical. That would be typical. Yeah, that would be interesting. What were you doing when you saw my DM that said, call me?

Actually, I was sitting there in the team speak. Sorry to the Florida staff. Sitting there in TeamSpeak with the Florida staff talking, you know, about how they're gassing me up and all that. Will it? How they're excited to watch me play in that. And then, you know. I saw your DM.

Hold on. I saw your DM and I was like, well, you know, you told me that I got to, you know, still scrimming all that. So I was like, well, I'm going to act like nothing happened. And just carry out with my day. and whenever I get, you know, more information, more, like actual more confirming of a call, you're coming out here.

I'm curious to know how that leak, though, because, see, I was, I didn't leak it. Yeah. I didn't even tell my family, and I put that on everything. I didn't tell a single person. And the only person who, like, I talked to about it with was someone who already knew,

which was Doug, who talked to Brandon previously. Because Brandon and Chris Parasite were talking, and then Brandon and Doug were talking. but like those are the only two other people that I could think of one of them for sure yeah that's what I'm just I just want to know how in this day and a who I mean if Parasite was involved I heard the rumor from he's the one snitching I heard the rumor from Ben J. Naseem I'll fucking name drop yeah so shout up Ben

Parasite but love Ben that makes sense that makes a lot of sense and I heard it and I said how would you have felt because remember our conversation we were sitting right here This cannot leak. It hasn't happened in a while before, you know, I think I think a prolude was maybe like the last time that we picked up somebody from challenges, but this one was, you know, this one was meaningful.

So I wanted to do you the honor of getting you to do the good announcement, you know, luckily you didn't ruin it like this. The future's green. Great. I thought that was a good play of words. No, it was. Because I was on Boston, green. Everyone's going to assume optic anyway.

So how did, so going back to what we were talking about, how did you break it to your team once it was like, you know,

Yeah, once I was allowed to, which was basically like 30 minutes before is what Page told me, like before the announcement. So I was like, okay, basically when I told them, like, they already had ideas and they were asking me about it, but every time I would just ignore the message. Yeah. Which I don't know the best way to handle that because I feel like ignoring is also telling in itself. But anyhow, I mean, they, you know, they were excited for me. They were also excited for themselves because I wouldn't say like through my opportunity that they got opportunities, but they definitely got more looks than we anticipated, like all of us.

Did anybody else get called up? Yeah. I guess a sub spot or? Yeah, well, Fellow went to Florida and then Two Real took Byron's spot on Vegas. And then I'm surprised Yule didn't get picked up, like as a sub or anything yet. He's the only one, right? Yeah. And I actually, I hope he does get a sub spot because he is very good.

He is very good. Who do you think, where would he fit in your opinion if you were GM of somewhere? I mean, he's like a subploid. I mean, London can take my grandpa. You think London right now needs as much help as they can get? I mean, London, yeah, like London could use a Uly. But it might be too much. No disrespect, but I think you work well.

Now that I'm on the outside, I can sort of call it how I see it. There are some teams that are not going to make champs, and right now London is one of them. It sucks because Scraps, Asam, love those guys, but as a team, they just don't work well. Then it's like if you're Yulee, it's weird because of the challenger, it's like you kind of feel like you have to take the opportunity when it comes. but also is like sometimes is it worth it right like if yulee goes out and wins in challengers again or let's say he joins in London I don't think he's coming in and making them a top 16 yeah so it's weird how you have to kind of think because now I think in the beginning of the league you kind of had to take the opportunity but now we've seen so many players who have looked worse

because of it and it's like do you sort of bet on yourself and maybe keep winning in challengers and keep performing or do you take the pro pro pro spot as soon as you get it and risk maybe not having longevity. So it's a weird way to think about it. I'm not sure what I do, but I think for you there has been other, there's been other instances in which a player that got called up didn't chose not to go up, yeah? Yeah. I mean, Colts one of them for sure on multiple occasions with, which was Florida as a sub at the beginning of the year and then not taking the New York spot either. I feel like there's other people that I'm missing. It takes balls. At least for me, because of my scenario, I wasn't going to take any starting spot for,

a minimum that wasn't worth it in my head that included me to move. Because I didn't see me switching from full-time school to part-time school worth it if I'm only getting paid a minimum on a bottom-14. Because I would end up making more money in challengers winning, because I would have probably continued to do so, and been able to go to school full-time and still gotten better looks maybe at the beginning of next year towards the end of this one. Versus taking a bottom-four starting spot where I either have to drop out of school

or switched on line and then be chopped liver at the end of the year. So that's kind of how I saw. I mean, I told you last time, this is almost unheard of. Like, this is the biggest challengers pick up in the history of Call of Duty. Usually, a challenger player gets a spot on a struggling team, a team that needs help or is trying to make up for points. You are the poster child for every challenge. Every challenger is rooting for you because your success makes an argument for every single

challenger player to not only be looked at. for the bottom teams, but middle of the pack and even some top teams. I mean, you're joining a top four team based on the last major. So everybody's rooting for you down there in Challenger and like, I mean, I can't even imagine your thought process. I mean, I can't, you did not expect to join Optic. When it was said to me, because I was on Boston still, I was already retired and I was doing my goodbyes in the facility. They were like, is Dan Gosey joining Optic? Because they knew I was going Optic. And I was like, I genuinely have no idea. Like I genuinely, I was like, In my head, I was like, I generally have no idea.

Were you like, no. I genuinely have no idea. Well, no, well, I actually didn't know. Like, I actually didn't. And then I texted Aunt. Nobody knew. We found out here. Yeah.

And then Hector texted me saying, how the fuck did you hear? Nope. No way, no leaks he's back. Yeah. Well, no. Well, he told us. We didn't say anything. Ant didn't really confirm it.

He was like, I'll talk to you when you're here about it. So he was, I was like, I can't get out of aunt? Yeah, you weren't here yet. He told me like, here. And then I was like, you texted me saying, how did you hear? because obviously we wanted to stop the leak as soon as it started. Yeah. Anyways, you are the biggest pickup in Challenger's history,

and you guys starting off, we want to know. Here Seth's going to say don't add pressure to him. He already has enough pressure on him where anything I say is not adding.
