Starting point is 00:00:00 Is that how girls look at me? Yeah. Like a ginger boy. That's fucking gross. Wait, wait, is that why you dye your hair blonde? No, I'd just do it because I'm at a midlife crisis. Not sure who I am. Midlife at 30.
Starting point is 00:00:21 Welcome, welcome, welcome to episode number 79 of the Optic Podcast. This episode is brought to you by ExpressVPN Upstart and Factor. Later on, I'll tell you a little bit more about them. But first I wanted to lead up with a little bit. little PSA public service announcement about the children's health summer streamathon that we are going to be doing here at Optic. There's going to be a bunch of Optic creators, June 17th. The streamathon is going to be different games, different topics, but it's going to be for
Starting point is 00:00:52 a good cause. The beauty about this good cause is that gaming is going to allow kids to be kids, right? It will relieve stress. It will help them develop fine motor skills and develop their creativity while having fun. I'll be on the stream athon next week with Hitch and other on-screen air talent from Optic looking forward to it.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Let's get on with the podcast. Just wanted to give that shout out because it's a very, very special cause and I'm always here for the kids. Toronto, you missed out. You missed out. Yo, is there somebody hanging out that window? Yeah, what's going on? You saw that? You know, imagine. They're cleaning
Starting point is 00:01:32 cleaning the windows. Apologies. I will say, my ADHD this morning is all over the place. I'm here to be honest. It took us like 10 minutes to start this. It did. It did take us 10 minutes. Anyway,
Starting point is 00:01:47 so we just got back from Toronto. Do you guys have questions for me as a Toronto native now? Because I believe, like that city took me in there. What made you love the city so much? Because I saw your heart felt warm. It was. Last time last time.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Oh, shit. No bullshit. Like last time I felt like that about a city was London. London is the only other city. Like the city took me in. Like I walked around. We went to this like this market called the, uh, the Lawrence, the St. Lawrence Street market and it like transported me back to like my childhood days in Juarez, right?
Starting point is 00:02:18 Because they have the same sort of markets where you just walk into like this big warehouse or this big building and there's just little like businesses and they saw a bunch of stuff. And I don't know what it was, man. It helped and it made me feel better that everybody knew me where I went everywhere. Everywhere I went, somebody was saying hello to me. Everywhere. Restaurants, bars, everywhere I went. What's up, Hacks?
Starting point is 00:02:39 Can I get a picture? Damn. Yeah, it was awesome, man. You run the city. Yeah, it was, it was, the people were great. Look, I don't. It's like this? Yeah, that's, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:49 In the city city? Yeah, in the city. Hmm. Dude, I'm telling you, man. I would not expect that with Toronto. Well, look, it's a warehouse. For me, I feel like I vision Toronto, like a kind of boogey upper class. It was.
Starting point is 00:03:03 But it wasn't bougie. it had it had some really good graffiti some really whack-ass graffiti you guys should not put practice on paper scrubs and then and then go you know there's a major difference between defacing and adding anyway i liked i liked everything about it people were cool uh the crowd was insane we had people from malaysia Bangladesh Indonesia Indonesia right Well, the amount of my brown brothers that were there from all, yeah, bro, like, it was, it was crazy. Like, these dudes, one dude came super tactile with all headquarters stuff. He's like, yo, I don't remember where he's from.
Starting point is 00:03:45 It was either from Malaysia, Bangladesh, or Indonesia. One of those two. I'm betting it was Bangladesh, though. The dude was head to toe, like, dripped out. He's like, yo, like, been following you guys for a long time. Bro, it was insane, man. It was insane. I always wonder if I have one of those fans.
Starting point is 00:04:02 It's from, like, I don't know. and like yeah right here this dude some country far far away yeah all of these like watches my stream all the time yeah he might like barely speak english but he just like fucks with my stream yeah no that 100% that's the thing obviously like this dude was like the the and it wasn't just him i mean i don't even know how to describe you had to be there to experience how cool that event was um everything about it man like it was it was legit a really really really good time what did you guys too. Well, we were gone for a week. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:04:37 All I know is that same shit. People started hitting me up about you. You were talking about drinking a lot and people were like concerned about you and shit. Oh man. I addressed this on the flag cast, but no, it was just like, it was Memorial Day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:53 It was Memorial Day. And so there was like pool parties and stuff. It was like sort of not a big thing, but it's just like I went out. And then the next day the podcast was like 11 a.m. and I wake up and I'm hung over. Yeah. So I had to take like two shots before I even got here.
Starting point is 00:05:09 And I like said it on the podcast and never. I didn't even look at the comments. It's called hair off the dog. It's funny because I texted him and said stop drinking man. You're scaring the former addicts and fans. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Yeah. Yeah. Apparently the the comment section is bad but no. I don't think it was bad as much as it was concerned. It was concerned. Yeah. But they don't. I was like here we go again.
Starting point is 00:05:29 It just sounded like it just sounded bad. That looked... Thanks, man. Hang in there. Yeah. Look, guys... No, I'm good. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:05:40 There's no need to worry. I'll tell you what. And sometimes they don't get like the humor like, you know? That's the other thing. But guys, I have a close and watchful eye over every single aspect of this thing, including specifically and more this guy right here specifically. You know, like we... I mean, my...
Starting point is 00:06:00 What? Well, it is like a common thing of people who, know anything about addiction. Like even in rehab, people were saying like, yeah, you think, because I'm in there saying like, no, it's pills, pills. I don't even drink alcohol. But then all the, I'm in there with a bunch of alcoholic
Starting point is 00:06:15 and they're like, yeah, well, whenever you, like, you think you're just going to drop the pills, but like you're going to find something else or like. Yeah, but you don't drink that much, though. No. Outta boy dashy. I don't think any, I don't think I saw any of us just randomly drinking out the blue.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Yeah. Like if you came in here with like a shake or, my alcohol, I'd be like, all right. The only time I would drink is if I get an invite out or, I don't know, just like one random night of the weekend or that's the only time I'll drink. I'll never drink from my apartment. Yeah. So it's not.
Starting point is 00:06:47 By yourself? Yeah. Yeah, I'll never drink by myself. I'll drink like a corona if I'm grilling. If I'm grilling out and I feel like I just do it because I've been conditioned to drink while, you know, I've seen commercials and I'm like, oh, I want to drink it. You know, my prefer method, as you guys know, it's nice of a duby. It's kind of how I feel if I'm like out, like, it's not, I feel like you've got to have something in your hand.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Just to like make it. Social. Yeah. Yeah. No, not me. I had an old-fashioned at dinner and then that's about it. I don't really, I've never really drank. I did get to a point to where 13 rum and coax did nothing to me, though.
Starting point is 00:07:24 I don't drink. Like who, like, I hate having that one drink. Like, if I'm going to drink, let's drink. Yeah. I'm not even gonna, like I'm not having one drink. I don't even like the taste of shit. Yo, you want to know when the last time it was that I fucking drank and I'd never drink.
Starting point is 00:07:40 I feel like I used to see you turn up a little bit. Oh, yeah. It's called Thursdays at MLG events. Yeah. Yeah, bad. Really, really, really bad. But last, last time it was Jude and I went to dinner with the neighbors from across the street,
Starting point is 00:07:59 went to the Charles downtown in Dallas. My goodness. You want to try. Italian food go to the Charles it's got to pop up pop up hillt shout out Papa Hilton and and my man Carlos Charles but you had 13 old fashions there no nine nine old fat me and me and my neighbor from across the street we're like we're like we're like someone to the drive we started drinking and we're like yeah another one and he's like yeah me too and I'm like trying to compete right in my head we weren't
Starting point is 00:08:27 competing but anyway I get home bro I got I don't remember getting from the I do remember giving my man who valeted my my myself a very very hefty tip to the valet person i get home oh my god you drove home no jude drove okay yeah she doesn't drink i i i go home and i'm like i just come in stumbling like i i'm buttoning my my button up oh like petting your dogs i i walk i'm like i didn't know what to do i went into my theater room and i like i i try to like hold myself up on a couch. I knocked the couch over. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:09:05 I got a puke. So I go and I puke in the sink of the theater. And then I go into the bathroom, into my bathroom, like right outside my office and in the theater room. I puke in the sink and in the toilet. Next morning, I am hungover as I've ever been.
Starting point is 00:09:19 And I'm like, I am never, ever, ever drinking ever again. My body just, I'm 42. God damn it. I don't know how people are. Well,
Starting point is 00:09:28 I mean, I know so many alcoholics. It's like steak. You don't got the sink. Pasta. You had to throw it. No one listens to me. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Go ahead. I was going to say, what was I going to say? I know so many alcohol. Oh, I don't know. People like, you feel so shitty. Like, it's not like, for me. It's not like doing pills. No.
Starting point is 00:09:49 So where it's like, I'll wake up and I'll like mentally feel shitty. But it's like, I'm, my body's still like good, I guess. But like, alcohol fucks up everything. I don't know. It makes sense so bad. I guess they feel so bad that they have to drink again, and that's the only way they feel better, but it's like it affects my body, like, so hard.
Starting point is 00:10:09 I just, I don't know. I don't think I could be one. The next day is automatically chalk for me. Yeah, I'm taking a vacation. Like, I'm eating shitty food the next day. It's just that we're going to be a bad day. It makes you just give up. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:10:19 You just surrender to, like, the couch and food. Feel it. You don't drink that much either, right, Matt? No. Do you usually at parties? I mean, like, I used to do. Jack and Coke. Jack and Coke, all right?
Starting point is 00:10:30 Yeah. I can't do. brown liquor. It's got to be Bacardi or tequila. Old-fashioned is the only exception. Once I got like introduced to tequila, now it's just nothing but tequila. Really?
Starting point is 00:10:43 I feel like it's like a... It is gross. It is probably the worst tasting one but it's like a... kind of like an upper. You know what I don't train? I was also dating my first Mexican girlfriend. I just got introduced. He said first there's more to come.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Ladies, machaches. Chavez. That is kind of my thing now. Used to be Asians. Yeah. Now it's, yeah. No redheads, though. Fuck now. They're gross. No offense.
Starting point is 00:11:13 No offense. No, they're just not my thing. I don't know. Just pale, fucking. Yeah, chill out, man. Friendly fire. Is that how girls look at me? Yeah. Like a ginger boy.
Starting point is 00:11:24 They're fucking gross. Wait, wait, is that why you dye your hair blonde? No, I'd just do it because I'm at a midlife crisis, not sure who I am. Midlife at 30. How old are you? 30. Damn. Literally midlife.
Starting point is 00:11:41 I mean, that's cool, man. I mean, that's cool, man. 30, I had, I had, I had live. You know what I mean? I was, uh, yeah, I don't know, man. You had live when you were 30? 29. And I called it right early on.
Starting point is 00:11:55 I said, I'm going to have my first kid at 29 and that was the last kid. I planned my, look, I plan my, look, I plan. My mom and sister thought that I was shooting blanks because I hadn't gotten Jude pregnant in 10 years. No. I mean, we were practicing. You know what I mean? You were practicing for the game? Yeah, no, but we both had plans and we executed unsaid plans, you know, 29 years old.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Did it just, where you, you like decide, like, you know what, now would be a good time, and then you did it? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's exactly how I happened. I'm scored I made my first shot good shot I want a kid no you don't trust me
Starting point is 00:12:36 you don't I do I'm gonna tell you why I don't wanna be a stay at home dad actually not that shit would get so annoying maybe when they're like older do you like to take care of junior he doesn't
Starting point is 00:12:47 he doesn't get the best treatment he gets the necessities he gets don't say that you know how many how many cat people watch this podcast and you know
Starting point is 00:12:58 he gets food water and litter box Yeah, that's all they need. A toy is rare. Me, playing with him, is rare. That's fucked. He gets a lot of pets. He gets a lot of pets? No, you do, you do.
Starting point is 00:13:09 No, you do. You're kidding. I've seen your story. I love junior. Yeah, yeah. That's mad funny when we picked them up when you got home from rehab. Yeah, he thought I abandoned him.
Starting point is 00:13:21 He wasn't fucking with me. Yeah, he's like, no, take me back. Nina! I think he was starting to get comfortable there. Yeah. I think he made like a cat friend. with whatever cat they have two cats actually
Starting point is 00:13:33 he was probably living his best life over there then he had to come back to me Jude asked me part of the intro Jude asked me about your dog you had a dog or a husky or some shit
Starting point is 00:13:42 no wait what you never had a dog those are your girls your ex girls I've never had a dog yeah Jude's like what happened
Starting point is 00:13:50 I don't have had an embos his dog I'm like he didn't have no fucking dog I remember when Mike you would have texted me and been like to see this is why
Starting point is 00:13:56 I didn't tell you you would have text me like yeah why don't you'd have to give the fucking dog what yeah I would have been so because this is the thing if you're out there considering in getting a pet, all right, but specifically a dog because that's like what I have.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Don't get them if an alternative to not having them is giving them away because the abandonment that that dog will feel from its owner leaving them or giving them away is like it's fucked up. In high school, I remember and I wasn't part of this, but in high school I remember one of my friends, this girl, I was my girlfriend, just a friend. She went and, like, her mom told her to get rid of a dog. And I heard that she drove, like, somewhere and then, like, put the dog on the side of the road.
Starting point is 00:14:40 And I was like, you fuck him. I mean, not on the side of the road, like in a neighborhood. Anyway, the dog ended up in somebody way better hands, I hope, or that's what I tell myself. But I could never do that. That's why I told you, no, you don't get a dog. I told Nate Chan not to get a dog, but now that Haley's there. Like, that was cool. Seth, I told them, yeah, you can get a duck, sure, you can get a dog.
Starting point is 00:15:00 But I've always been like a yes or no guy when it comes to like whether or not, when people say, yo, should I get a dog? I'm like, no. How many times I've told you no? You travel and shit? Like, no. Don't do that to dogs. How could you drive away from a dog?
Starting point is 00:15:13 Dude, imagine. How long did he chase that car back for? How the fuck could you do that? How long did that dog chase? So sad, man. Yeah, I don't even want to talk about. Let's, let's turn this around. Let's turn this around.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Let's turn this around. Yeah, I'll talk about like Brandon Falunth him. Let's talk about Dashy falling off the map. No, I'm kidding. He's over there. Don't talk. He took it really, really hard.
Starting point is 00:15:36 I just hear his buttons. Did you hear that? I could hear his buttons warming up. We said, let's talk about Brandon fall off the map. But just hear his button stop. Yeah, no, let's not talk about that. Look, we got to wait. We got to wait.
Starting point is 00:15:46 It would have been really cool. It would have been really cool to obviously win it, but I think that. Ponday River Bomba Club. Bomba Club. Yo, is it true, Matt, is it true that not? Not one team has won twice, and every person that has one has been different.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Yeah. Is that true? Has that ever happened? No. Like every... I don't remember it ever happening in HALA. In any esport. Weird.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Like, there's always been a dominant team, and I don't know if this speaks towards the state of the game. I don't know what this speaks towards, but that's a data point that is very interesting to sort of like think about. Well, what's HALO been this season? in optic or wait, C-9 C9-C-9-C-9-C-N Oh shit C-9, C-9, C-9 C-9 C-9 C-9 C-N And then
Starting point is 00:16:36 Optic-Oct optic, optic, there's that many events Oh hasn't been, there's been two majors How long are you guys on break for? Some losing full. Are you? Yeah, it's like, it's so deep, dude Like, we're in June
Starting point is 00:16:51 and I don't think we have anything Until like the end of August Get the, so June and July It's just like nothing still. Oh my God. Wow You should Wow
Starting point is 00:17:00 Like why would anyone care By the time That event comes around Nah What is it There's no storylines Nothing Why
Starting point is 00:17:05 I wonder what Dude it's so dead At any time And I haven't even Really looked at Twitter But like Anytime I look at Twitter I see like
Starting point is 00:17:13 At least a few tweets Of just how bad The Halo Whatever is Like they added in like Then they added in like a team snipers And it's not even Team snipers
Starting point is 00:17:23 It's like There is this I don't know How the Team Snipers Playlist works But apparently there's like other weapons that are like one shot kills, but they're not snipers. There's just like a one shot kill. There's 15 game types.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Five of them are skewer and mangler. And then five of them are stalker rifle and pulse carbine. And then the other five are shoddy snipes. Who's in charge? I don't know. They're so fared. It doesn't even make sense. Like team snipers been a thing since the beginning of Halo and it's always been the same.
Starting point is 00:17:56 And now, yeah. Like, Mangler. Like typing buttons. Yeah, it's... What is, uh... So what have you guys been playing? Like, well, I don't know you haven't been playing. Apex.
Starting point is 00:18:08 I've been playing Apex. Huh? I've been playing Apex. Apex? You like it? Yeah, that's fun. Are you getting... What rank are you? Flat one.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Flat one. Is that good? It's all right. You're saying I don't have my chain on. Dude, I take it off at night. I put it in my little drawer and then sometimes I just forget to put it on. I just forgot it too. Give it back.
Starting point is 00:18:27 No. What do you mean? No. Because I'm like, go home, put it on. Show it to know what? Hang out with Ace TV. Wait, so what's up? Ace lives in Dallas?
Starting point is 00:18:37 Mm-hmm. And what was, I saw the U.S. Poole-S. Poole-side with them poolside teens. That was Memorial Day. Yeah, it was fun. Talks for anyone? I enjoy.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Any action? I mean, kind of, I guess, but. What am I going to fucking tell it all? What kind of flavor teens are we talking? Uh, white. Uh-oh. Yeah. vanilla tings.
Starting point is 00:19:01 It's a rare occurrence, but gotta switch it up sometimes. Yeah. Oh, man. I don't know. I play Apex like in the beginning of when it first came out and I was fucking super into it.
Starting point is 00:19:14 And then something else came out and I just like moved on. It's just like a good game. Yeah. Killed Nick Merch the day. Did you? Yeah, I didn't know. You're that high now in rank? I was playing with kids that,
Starting point is 00:19:25 I was playing with Z-Liner. Zee Liner and this guy named Nico. And they were on their night. It counts. Damn. So it goes platinum and then diamond? Yeah. But like when you're in diamond, like if you play with kids that are in diamond,
Starting point is 00:19:35 it'll just bring you diamond lobbies, which are like pred lobbies right now. Then like we, yeah, we ran to Nick Merckson's in his team. Damn, you can hold your own, obviously? Yeah, we killed him. I didn't know him, no. Yeah. Bro, I was at Hilton's movie theater and he put on Hitches or TST's like reaction to, have you heard of It's Timmy?
Starting point is 00:19:55 He's an Apex player. Yeah, he's good. He went, he made a new account, got from, brand new account to Apex Predator in one stream session took him like 56 hours straight. Damn. Like that is nuts. But it was kind of nuts like how hard he carried every single game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Damn. Jeez. Do you play Apex? Do you still play Reber? No, I just, no, I recently gave up on ranked. I mean, it got boring. Same thing. Over and over.
Starting point is 00:20:27 Like, you don't know what I'm saying? Totally fucking. So it was basketball. I mean, but you're not playing the same team every day. You're playing the same group of kids here and there. Like, he's not old. So there's not a lot of population on there that you run into like the same people? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:40 So you play the same people or there's different? It's like mixture. You're going to run into the same people. Like if you don't run into them to, if you didn't play them then one day, you'll play him the next day. Like, you're going to, or you'll catch one of their teammates. Like, it's small. Hutch yesterday said, I like it though. Touch sent me a text yesterday.
Starting point is 00:20:59 He's like, yo, let's play S&D. And I'm like, hell yeah. And he's like, but modern warfare, like the game from last year. And I'm like, I'm not fucking playing that shit. He was playing, he was being brought in a helicopter. I'm like, I'm not playing that shit. I just saw you play. I thought we're going to play Vanguard and we're going to play in Tuscan, fucking Berlin and shit.
Starting point is 00:21:16 And no, we're playing a different game. I'm not playing that. No, I'm not playing that. But brings me to the next point. Mono Warfare 2 will reportedly have a map editor. Is that like a 4? Forge from HALA? Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:29 To where you can literally make maps? Or you can just edit. Yeah, look, Ralph's Valve claims, what's Ralph's Valve? Is that some dude? Community-led effort to create Maps. Model Warfare 2, map editing tool to be used in Trairx. Don't announce next game. Oh, this is going to be Trairc?
Starting point is 00:21:48 Wait. So it won't be for Modern Warfare 2 because Modern Warfare 2 is being developed by Infinity Ward. So why is Trairc here? But the map editing tools could also be. Okay, could also be used. In Offline mode, mapping players and key necessary tools for blocking out map, mapping and editing and an already existing map.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Huh? Like, do you care about that? Yeah, I mean, if it's forged, it's cool. Editing an already existing map? I mean, I guess. I don't know how much you can tweak. I don't know, man. To be honest, I just gave up on everything.
Starting point is 00:22:23 When it comes to, like, having faith in game developers. Yeah, same guy. Yeah. I like PTSD. This game is bad Cod's over, basically. Say it again? If this game is bad Cod's over basically? No, no.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Cod's never going to over. Yeah. Yeah, Cod's never going to wear. It's going to be at a bad spot, though. Competitively, you mean? Like, the CDL? Yeah. Well, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:46 I'm not talking about, like, I don't know. I don't know. There's people playing. I don't know. I don't think so, dude. I mean, think about it, right? It's like people go to their 9 to 5 in an office in a cubicle. like people are going to show up to the map
Starting point is 00:22:59 and do the job that they need to do as professionals people are going to watch because they're there for the personalities more than the competition it's always exciting seeing a new cod drop anyway yeah it's become part of routine it's like a little excited it's like Christmas man yeah you know what I mean like literally yeah look I like the I like the
Starting point is 00:23:20 level of hype that that I get within the first like month of playing S&D with my boys you know I Obviously, Worson kind of took over that, but I'm excited, man. Every single time when it comes out, I'm good because I'm always hopeful that this is going to be the one that breaks through. I'm never fearful of this is going to be the one that kills Cod. It's like it's too big a franchise to ever fucking die.
Starting point is 00:23:44 I feel like there's already been probably maybe enough Codds that would have been the one to kill Cod, but you like can't kill Cod. There's like too big of a everyone in the fucking world grew up playing Cod at some point. Yeah, I think. It's just like too big of a fan base. Yeah, and I can tell you that more and more people are playing it because my boys from home just of the 40-year-old dudes just started playing Call-Duty like last year for the first time ever because of Warzone. Because of Fortnite and then Warzone. So like I know that there's that there's like a, that there's new users being added like on a yearly basis.
Starting point is 00:24:17 I just don't know how much that matters to them from a competition standpoint, which is look, what I've always said from the beginning is like, you know, think about when was the last time we uploaded any. call of duty content to any of our channels that wasn't like a vision or wasn't process or wasn't like a react or like a fun thing to do like an actual gameplay you know what people watch cod gameplay anymore? I don't know besides war zone
Starting point is 00:24:40 I don't look up I don't look it up like all the days of like Matt said all the all the all the all the days of when 25 and oh with a sniper comments like they don't exist anymore mostly because they shit it on the snipers but you remember those days
Starting point is 00:24:55 yeah Sam, Pamash was on top Yeah, rain was on top It was weird Like seeing Pomage, I would think He's trash at video games Uh-huh With his tall at tall, lanky
Starting point is 00:25:09 Just like big ass But he was actually like Kind of nasty And it surprised me I don't know if he still is I don't know you I don't know what is he doing I don't know
Starting point is 00:25:18 No he streams now Does he? Bro I see it He uh I think he streamed like I don't know I saw like a screenshot And it was like 300 something hours.
Starting point is 00:25:30 And I could do the math real quick. But it's like three streaming 300 some hours in a month. Like isn't, I don't know how to do the fucking math. It's not that crazy? It's 10 hours a day. 10 hours a day? Yeah. It's a fucking lot.
Starting point is 00:25:45 I mean, it could be. Why is my Siri doing it? I just got so checked. Cut up. Don't look at me. Anyway, so I don't know, 10 hours a day doesn't seem that much. Like, I play on average four hours a night when I'm not, yeah, I play like from four to eight every night, sometimes 10, like six hours. You don't play four to eight every night.
Starting point is 00:26:12 No, not every night, but every now and then. Like every other day. How about that? Like yesterday I play, today I'll play, tomorrow I'll play. If I'm traveling, obviously, you don't. My boy's from home. Oh, shit. Oh, shit, really?
Starting point is 00:26:24 Pill push it. Do you play, what do you play, like pubs? No, we play resurgence. I don't know what that is. Rebirth. Yeah, rebirth. Resurgence. Bro, it's the best.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Seeing them argue. Oh, my God. I teach him words like breadstick. Donuts? So they obviously take off from there. Excented to see what the map editor is going to be. I can tell you that if I put my mind to it, I will design the best map. No, I won't.
Starting point is 00:26:48 This is Hitch's game, right? What do you mean? MW2. It's not the same. That's his baby, right? No, it's not the same. But they're trying to capture the... It's not going to be the same.
Starting point is 00:26:56 No, it's not going to be the same. No, modern warfare, this is Modern Warfare two, part two, right? Because we have Modern Warfare's Caldry, four, but then we have Modern Warfare where Verdance came from, right? So this is Modern Warfare 2 from that. ExpressVPN has over 90 countries to choose from, so every time I run out of stuff to watch,
Starting point is 00:33:11 I just switch to another country to unlock new shows. Right now I'm watching Rick and Morty. It's not on US Netflix, but with just one tap of a button ExpressVPN lets me change to my location at Switzerland to watch it. And here's the best part. It's not just for Netflix. You can use ExpressVPN to unlock shows on other streaming services too. So it's not just Netflix.

Starting point is 00:34:23 I can't tell if it's far away or close. For those of you listening, we took a small break there for MBOs to determine where the sound was coming from. Hold on. Yeah. Somewhere. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Let me get your computer. Just fucking. Yeah. Yo, I got a bono pick with you. I got a bono pick. What? What do you mean what? This, what is it?
Starting point is 00:34:52 This dude, wait, what the fuck did you say in the podcast? I was watching a little bit of the podcast and you said, oh, your merch. You said that you're dropping merch and that you're going to seed, this is what he said. He's like, yeah, but I'm not going to put it out until I seed merch to scomp and formal. That's it. He didn't say hex. I was joking. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:35:13 No, I have a. No, no, no, no, no, no, you were not. No, you're not. No, you were not. He knows who. He knows who the real. I have a, he knows who looked at. I have a box in my apartment.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Yeah, you're gonna keep it? Let me guess no 2X. No 2X. No 2X. I'll send it to you. Never goes. Honestly, I looked and all I saw was like large and the mediums. It's the same shit every time.
Starting point is 00:35:34 I told them too. I made a list. Like, I made a list. Be honest. No, like I made a list of like everyone in the age or like sizes and all that. But I don't know. I didn't like scavenged through the box. I established we're doing a collab.
Starting point is 00:35:49 What's he wearing? On his first day out. What's Matt wearing? Don't do drugs. What's up with the front? Can you explain the front? Pretty self-explanatory. But don't do drugs?
Starting point is 00:36:02 Yeah. Well, I mean, what kind of drugs? I'm just trying to promote a healthy lifestyle. BTA will change the world. Yeah, dude. And I'll be the leader. No, but in reality. reality, like you, like for the last six months and I respect the fuck out of this because I don't have this discipline, I was very surprised at how hard your, your discipline went with your nutrition and your gym shit.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Yeah. I was impr. I would put money on the fact that you wouldn't have done that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Are you back on it?
Starting point is 00:36:33 Now I am. Not on the diet. Not on that. Diet's, diet's been inconsistent for probably like a month. Like, I've gained. I've definitely. gained like 10 to 15 pounds in just like a month. No, you didn't. Yeah, it's like I'm so mad at myself or just like, like I hurt my back so I couldn't like work out because it was so. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:36:56 I want to know. How'd you hurry about it? Well, it started in rehab volleyball. Wurt my back. They didn't give me nothing for it. Explain to me rehab volleyball. Like what the fuck were you doing that you what's funny is well. What's funny in rehab volleyball, everyone was so trash. Stop going to get that. Like, we had rehab redos because like people were just so bad we called rehab redo but I don't know I was just going hard just like I felt like a D1 athlete so I was just going hard and like
Starting point is 00:37:30 I was like backing up I'm serving so I'm like throwing it up jumping and like just I think going like this I like just pulled something in my back and just fucked it up It's final. And then it's just never healed.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Wasn't too bad at first. It started in like the middle of my like left side. And is it actually your spine or is it like more muscular or it's like sciatica pain? Which is like you don't want that. That sounds serious. It's like at like the bottom of my spine like the middle like goes out to my legs like down to my calves. It's pretty bad. That's your whole lot.
Starting point is 00:38:08 You got some pressure on your near. You need to go get massage, chiropractor a little bit. Yeah. I like just have a 30 minute warning? What does that mean? Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Have you got an MRI or something? No, I did just, I don't have the number safe, but I just got a call from some place. I think it's where I go to my chiropractor and they set up an MRI. So I think I have a voicemail from them. But yes, I'm getting an MRI. But I sort of already know what it is
Starting point is 00:38:37 and I'm like figuring out the stretches and the exercises. So I'm getting back into it. I can like finally work out again. Well, I'll tell you something that I just gave up with the diet. I'm gonna tell you some about abs. Okay, abs are made in the kitchens. Not in the gym.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Jen Salter. I know. I know. Dude, I was like, Jen Salter. I was like actually getting, I was, I was probably like 190. I was like, wow, I'm actually doing it. Like, I could see like a little baby four pack for me. I'm like, I just need like five, ten more pounds and I'll be shredded.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Then I went to Cabo, just fucking lived like... I had so much food and drinks and just came back, still felt like shit. So I just kept eating like shit. And then my back hurt and I was like, God, I can't even like wake up and go work out. And I was just depressed and I just gave up. And then it was just... Long story short, just DoorDash every day and gained 10, 15 pounds. Damn.
Starting point is 00:39:42 but now I'm like day four ish back on it Matt's falling asleep over here and shit yeah I don't know let me ask you some like you every time of it like you you have like the long blinks like you like every single from the beginning of time every time every time the camera was on him
Starting point is 00:40:00 he like he blinks like this do have long blinks yeah he like bro watch any match that he's ever played in because you know why it's because when I'm sitting there and I'm playing and I'm like thinking about what I just saw I'm like, wow, my teammates are brain dead. That's what I'm thinking. I'm like, holy shit, how am I playing with this guy? Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:40:18 I'm just kidding. Yeah, it's just long blinks. Yeah, long blinks. I want to hear about this, Matt. A four-night player gets in a fight at Dreamhack. So DreamHap happened here in, in, you went to the, did you, I saw you at the Dallas Fuel event. Yeah. How is that?
Starting point is 00:40:34 I don't know what. I mean, I only went for the finals because Dallas Fuel made it. What? The Overwatch. The Dallas Fuel Finals? Yeah, the Overwatch. It was here in our stadium, right? I was just with Hilton and whatever.
Starting point is 00:40:47 He just, yo, if they make finals, we got to go. I was like, we don't have to go. ACV? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:40:53 I would have won. I would have won't if I was here. But yeah, we just showed up for the finals. They got four-oed, and then we left. But it was cool. Like,
Starting point is 00:41:01 it was pretty popping. I guess. Like, crowd was, they did steal Hitch's drum. No. Yeah. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:41:09 Like, they were a boom, like they had a drum. And they were doing the same shit. Yeah. What we're saying? To Dallas. I think Bluebird.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Oh, Burn Blue? Burn. I don't fucking know. Burn. Blue. Something like that. Oh, is that what it is? I think I asked someone, are they saying Bluebird?
Starting point is 00:41:27 And they were like, yeah. So they didn't know either? Hilton didn't know? I don't know. Again, another shout out to the crowd. They did the, without the drum, they did green. Whoa. That show was fucking late.
Starting point is 00:41:40 was it the green wall dominant crowd? Yeah. Yeah, of course. Yeah, but, but, but, uh, there was a lot of fans of Toronto there too. Uh, expected.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Yeah. But like, for every, every, for every, uh, every, uh, every picture that I took with somebody wearing a Toronto something, like I saw the, I saw the jersey underneath them and they would take off their shit to take a picture. And I was like, I was like, uh, if you were an optic professional treatment,
Starting point is 00:42:06 cut the line, brother. Come on, come on. Come on. And then I was just kidding most of the time. It was a really, really good crowd. Got along with everyone. It was cool. Some dude fainted.
Starting point is 00:42:15 I was doing like a... He's a go shit scum. Dash hat. We were... I come out to... Because it was hot as fuck back there, dude, in the locker rooms. Let me set it up for you, okay? It was at the old Maple Leafs Stadium.
Starting point is 00:42:34 Correct me if I'm wrong on the comment section below. But we were there and all the player... Pro player areas were in locker rooms, and it was hotter than hell in there. There was no airflow. It was muggy. It was, and there was so many of us. It was the four players, two coaches, me,
Starting point is 00:42:58 Roger, Shostin, Paige, Joey, Ellie, and then everybody that was like a locker room, locker room? Yeah, it was a locker room. room locker those like jersey for you to hang your jerseys in yeah it's cool it's cool hanging with ellie too uh who's our new uh photographer slash creative uh dude that's gonna be helping us with with uh all that we do but he's like a toronto native um and i was learning french hell yeah you know what i mean but it was good anyway uh so the crowd did uh the burn blue stuff Burned to blue.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Was that drum? Were those drums bought and left at the stadium? I don't know. Hitch got his drum. Well, I think Hitch had a bigger drum. She had almost like a... She? Yeah, it was a girl like wearing a drum.
Starting point is 00:43:53 But it was like a... I guess maybe like a little bigger than like a snare drum. Like a Nick Cannon? Yeah. But I think it was like a little bigger than that. So I don't think it was the exact same drum. But I was like, hold up.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Like I heard a drum and I was like, wait a second. There's no way they stole this idea. No, no, they're welcome to it. Yeah, they're welcome to it. Shout out Hitch, man. It worked, though. Yeah, he's been trying to do this since fucking Huntsman. So shout out to him.
Starting point is 00:44:20 All right, let's get into this fight, man. Is there an actual... Wait, there's a bit. Dude, time out. Before you play, time up. Play, let's stop pause it. Okay, time up. I am a fan.
Starting point is 00:44:30 And I'm not saying I'm a fan of violence. I see someone running. I'm not a fan of violence. I am a fan of violence. of nerds fighting I think a fight though we'll see look like I see people
Starting point is 00:44:41 running away yeah play it yeah I don't think gosh like that guy the 13-no right there like you're scared of that guy hold me back hold me back
Starting point is 00:44:50 like what in the video it's not a fight this video's trash in the video the guy's like come on guys there's a lot of expensive shit holy click bait
Starting point is 00:44:59 yeah so bad 800 and 7000 so they basically like pathetically squared up and then like just got separated. And like ran away. All right.
Starting point is 00:45:08 So nothing actually happens. So four night players, Matt, I'm offended. I'm mad at you. It says four night players get in a fight. You should have said four night players almost get in a fight. Oh, you hadn't seen it? Yeah. Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Look, guys, this is how I want all the fights to be from here and out, okay? Just don't fight. Physical violence is not the answer. Anyway They fought over one player Griefing the other And causing him to lose a tournament Train wrecks
Starting point is 00:45:41 That is fucked Train wrecks the hero Comes in And gives the player Twice the money Double the money Who would have won 16,000 So you give him 32,000
Starting point is 00:45:50 Let me guess No Lost 8K to a fucking loser Diego play FN Send me your Bitcoin Address Fuck the 8K I'll send you 16
Starting point is 00:45:59 Damn Bro I was watching Trainwreck stream He was betting 75K a spin. Bro, he would put in like 800K or something. And then it just like kind of dwindle down, doing it down. He put in another 800K.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Dwindle down, dwindle down. Then like one spin, I saw him win like 700K or something. But it's like he probably lost the mill by that point. Dang. But yeah, 75K a spin. Yeah. I mean, you're searching for dopamine at that point of levels. I mean, think about it, man.
Starting point is 00:46:34 If you're rolling 75, think about how much, if you win a $5,000 roll, what that's going to do to you. He does give back to hell of people, though. I don't know. He does give out a lot of fucking money. Yeah. I heard somebody say that it's like, like, he's hiding something. He's like, what the fuck? Why?
Starting point is 00:46:49 He's like, well, why is he giving away, like, all this money? Probably bored. I'm like, shut your ass up, man. Like, what the fuck? That's a. Hayden ass motherfuckers, man. Like, mind your business. Hying something.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Yeah, he's hanging something because no one's, no one's that, no one's that, no one's that, no one's that, generous.
Starting point is 00:47:11 Um, no offense to the Duibo McGeeco's out there. Uh, you saw that, that guy was talking shit to me? Like, oh,
Starting point is 00:47:18 I saw your, I don't know how I even saw that. I saw something about a Duibo McGiko. Oh, was it about the clothes? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:47:29 yeah, yeah. He was saying that I was wearing the same camel pants. We're in the same pants. I'm like, it's like, Like not even the same pattern, you doibo, Matt Geek, stylis,
Starting point is 00:47:35 Duibo Matt Geico. Mono War for two teaser trailers featuring Tim the Tapman, Trey Young, Pete Davidson. Wait, Skeet, isn't there? Yeah, Skee. Steve Aoki? Let me see. Matt, play that thing.
Starting point is 00:47:47 I want to see it. I haven't seen it. Ski Aoki. Yeah, Matt, play it. Well, damn, son. Where'd you find this? Damn, Matt, where'd you find this? Okay, I hope that this is the one with the people
Starting point is 00:48:00 that we were just fucking talking about, Matt. Oh, got it. This is Tim the Tapmans. Wait, now what is this? That's so good. Yeah, that is sick. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Oh, you're gonna start clapping. I don't want to see the Trey Young or Pete Davidson one. At all. Shout to Trey Young, though. I like a basketball player. Wait, I want to see the Pete one. You want to see the Pete? Why?
Starting point is 00:48:34 Why? Thinks he's Pete. Guys, I'm being sick of this shit. Are you Pete Davidson of gaming? What? Once I lose 20 pounds. bro, me and Hitch were talking about it, but you know Kim K
Starting point is 00:48:46 randomly got Pete's manager, like Kim texted like Pete's manager, like an SNL manager, like for Pete's number or to tell him that she's down to fuck or something like that. Like basically,
Starting point is 00:49:01 someone relayed to Pete that Kim wants to smash. And I'm just like, what the fuck? Like, what do you even do when you hear that? Anyways. Sir? Kind of scary. here. Will you guys hold my hand? You sure.
Starting point is 00:49:25 I bet you that if they would have let him do his own skit, that it would have been funnier than this shit. Because right here, like, they're making... Yeah, this is cringe. Stop, man. Yeah, fuck this. This is fucking... The only person that wanted to see this was Nick.
Starting point is 00:49:37 Let the record show you on her. Yeah, I got disappointed. You saw that Johnny Depp won. Did you have any doubt that he was going to win or not win? Fuck, no. She looks so guilty. Hodge. Hodge got into... Didn't argue with me, but we got into a... into a Discord, and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:49:52 I'm like, dude, she's going to lose it. He's like, are you kidding me? She is definitely going to win this. There's something about him where he, I feel like he takes, yeah, he like takes this side of like what you shouldn't, what you shouldn't take. He just likes to argue. Yeah. He just likes to go back and forth. He's, yeah, he doesn't.
Starting point is 00:50:10 Yeah, I mean, I would say that that's a good description of him. Illogical rationale is what I would call it. I'm kidding. Hutch. I love you. Anyway, I think, I think, as we go through. towards the rest of the year, right? Like we have the New York major, right?
Starting point is 00:50:26 Coming up. That's cool. We don't have Halo for a while. I think we have, Matt, can you look up when the Valeran trip to Amsterdam? I think it is. Why do I want it to be Amsterdam so bad?
Starting point is 00:50:39 It is. Is it an Amsterdam? No. I thought you were like talking about it. Valorant, Valorant. Did Amsterdam? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:46 I don't know. Didn't we talk about that on the podcast? Did we talk about this already? So we have a lot of companies. We have a lot of things going down. Amsterdam. It's not Amsterdam. I'm going, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:57 I mean, I want to go. If the schedule permits, I'm traveling with the team for show. That sounds like a COVID. That sounds like a COVID. That sounds like I come back and I have COVID. I'm going to tell you the do the dopest thing, and this is why we need to do this in Dallas. But the doest thing about Toronto is that every night there was a rooftop party. And it wasn't just a rooftop party.
Starting point is 00:51:18 It was like a fucking vivey-ass roof. Buildings everywhere. buildings everywhere. It was amazing. It was such a new city. It is the fourth largest city in North America. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Chitown, Chirang, and then Toronto. Matt, anything?
Starting point is 00:51:38 There's so many Valoran Tournament says, man. Anyway, there's one coming up. I think I saved it. I think it might be, every single time I grow up my phone, there's like 90 different mucos, nothing here, nothing there. There it is. Boom. What's up? Where are we at?
Starting point is 00:51:56 No, it's not. It's VCT, man. Go go to the VCT Twitter. VCT Twitter. You've never been to Amsterdam? No, have you? I used to want to go. It's like 18. I still want to go.
Starting point is 00:52:11 It's like weed flechle? Weed sneagle? Red Light District. Does it say anywhere? It does not. Anyway. Oh. No, I don't think that's it.
Starting point is 00:52:23 Oh. And he moved too fast. We didn't even get a chance to see it. Nice one, Matt. I need you on my body. Matt, stop. You're fucking distracting me at this point. I'm thinking.
Starting point is 00:52:39 I'm like, I want to read that tweet. Anyway, super psyched about traveling with the team. They've been turning up, man. I just don't know. I just don't know how much more travel I have in this old body of mine. This last time that I went to Toronto, man, I was gone for four days and I became immediately homesick and I just wanted to see Liv June and the Pups
Starting point is 00:52:58 and I was just like man. Did you leave early? I left as soon as they lost, I'm like, Paige, you know what to do? Yeah, so by the time of that we got to dinner, our flights were already changed. Seth was supposed to come back with us on Saturday, on Sunday, but his hungover disallowed him from doing that and he just spent the day traveling and being a tourist
Starting point is 00:53:18 which is better for me and cool, cool that he got to take some time off and just think about the city and nothing else. Anyway, any closer comments? Anything you guys want to talk about before we head on our way? Formal, you haven't had much to say? Honestly, I don't think we'd you do bullet points anymore, bro. I think bull points are shit. I agree.
