I want to talk about something, though.
Infinity Ward says the final three maps for MW2 this year are more built for competitive.
Let it out.
It's a little fucking late.
What are we talking about here?
We are in our last split.
Can you highlight it?
This is our last split and then it's champs.
Welcome back to episode 124 of the Optic podcast presented by Privy.
PICs. I am here with the best redhead in gaming history.
Can never be well and also Seth is here too. It should be a...
You actually got me.
Did I get you? I need to I need to I need to ego check. I wasn't expecting a
Dap-up after that. I've been in a great mood lately man. No you have been. You look good. You lost a couple pounds?
I don't know the actual figure,
but I got a stomach bug last week,
and I lost eight pounds during that.
So it was three days of just constant.
You excited about that, though?
The eight pounds?
No, yeah, and I'm using that opportunity.
Yeah, it's like a kickstart.
Yeah, it was a kickstart to my, now I'm dieting.
I haven't been drinking at all whenever I do eat.
I've been eating in moderation.
Like last night I had chips and chips and salsa,
and I was counting each blue corn.
Yeah, I was counting each blue corn tortilla
corn tortilla chips, so I had 20 chips.
A serving was 14.
So I've like been, I've been good.
Every podcast we do now.
It's just a health and we're changing the world.
No, I think it's something.
Me and Hitch have been talking about this on the last like three flycast episodes of like,
well, we're eating, we're running.
And then we see what Shotsie's doing and we're pissed off.
I'm still very like in my emphasis stage of my diet.
So I'm going to see how long I can stay disciplined for.
But yeah, I'm down like 13 pounds.
You're feeling good though without doing any exercise?
Because I feel like you, you grew up athletic.
So I feel like it's like kind of in your blood.
So I'm surprised you feel as well as you do.
Like, do you remember when you were shredded to shit?
Did you feel really good then?
I feel like I was tired of them.
Really?
Yeah, because like how.
It's a little different when you were competing though, too.
Well, yeah, because like how intense my workouts were, like they would like drain me.
You were so, I remember living in the, in.
one, two, three, five.
I'd be there for two hours.
The scuff house, you would go to the, it was like every day.
Go to the gym and then you would eat, I think,
Chipotle every single day.
But you would never like overeat super consistent.
And that's so hard.
Well, that's because I was on like a gaming schedule.
So I'd like, I usually go to the gym at night.
Well, that's like, I used to.
But whenever I'd go in the morning, I'd eat Chipotle.
And then I'd be gaming all day and I'd eat so much Chipotle
that I wouldn't even, it wouldn't register that I was hungry until like nine.
and then I'd have another meal
and then protein shakes.
Yeah, I was good back then.
But I'm trying to be good now.
And I do feel that.
Remember we went to World a beer one time
and he asked the waitress for a chicken breasts and broccoli.
Yeah.
Just chicken breasts and broccoli all around it.
Where the fuck did my discipline?
Yeah, where did it go?
I mean, you have plenty of discipline.
You have to give away your money to people that you like...
Yeah, you come down to my level
when you're like, there's one option left.
I get fucking shredded.
And then we build a, we can build an empire from that.
Hell yeah.
No, yeah, I've been feeling good.
Did you know a Shotsie runs fucking 10 miles plus?
Like, it's nothing.
Yeah, that's insane.
The thing is, like, with seeing him, he's not chub.
He did get a little pudgy at one point.
There was Pazuki.
Shotsie.
So what?
Pazookies.
What's that?
It's a brownie on the bottom, ice cream on the room.
Oh, geez.
Like a hot brownie on the bottom.
It's Pazuki.
B.J.
Oh, I love B.
got chubby because of Pazook.
And now this motherfucker just,
I saw, I think he said
it was on, do you know what Strava is?
It's like a running app.
You start running, you hit Star and it just like, it tracks.
It's like almost a fucking Twitter
that tracks your shit and people can comment
and like your shit.
People can hype you up.
Yeah.
And I saw, of course, of course he has one.
He was like, game day today.
Literally tourney day.
He's playing and he starts off his morning
with 11 miles.
Yeah, see, I'm not going to follow.
I feel like that's not good.
I'm not going to follow him just so I feel better about myself.
Because if I see him,
no,
you can't.
But to be fair,
Anne's been playing insane last week's.
How?
Dude, when I...
Yeah,
It's the running.
It might be the running.
The more I started working out, though,
the worse I would get.
Well, you're already not like too good.
Because like,
I would feel my hands.
Yeah.
It was like my hands and my forearms,
muscles would get tired.
Yeah, Crim said back in the day that he said that he said that he
was his best ever when he was running.
Hell yeah.
I mean, yeah, physical fitness.
It might be something to it.
It does a little bit for you.
What do you guys think about this John Morant thing?
I know this is super.
I just saw it up there.
I keep seeing it.
There's no way he did it twice.
Was it pre-recorded though?
It was IG live.
Both of them were IG live.
Yeah, I mean, it just, I don't.
I was thinking about it today.
Imagine.
Is Bose John Morant?
What?
I don't think so.
I don't think Bo's ever flashed a gun.
Oh, he has in my vlogs.
I just had to cut it out.
I'm just kidding.
I mean, he's 23 years old.
Jesus.
On top of the world.
I just don't, like, the risk of it for the reward of, like, what are you really gaining from it?
I just, I don't really understand it, so I can't really speak about it.
But, like.
Imagine if this happened in 2004.
Imagine what the media would have been saying.
They were calling the NBA like the Thug League and all that shit.
Alan Iverson and Paul Pierce.
Oh my God.
They would have.
Gilbert Arenas brought a gun to the locker room.
We Loki have come a long way since 2004 because he would have been.
They don't have this shit, it's a lot.
What I hope is I just hope he doesn't do anything like accidentally stupid or just stupid in general and like ruin his career.
That's what I hope.
He's already like kind of tarnishing his reputation.
Yeah.
A lot of bad media around.
it and shit like that, but I just hope he doesn't do something
super like, you know what I'm saying?
He is really fucking talented.
Did you hear about it?
He went to like a foot locker, some shoe store, finish line or something.
And like, one of the employees was like being disrespectful to his mom.
So his mom called, uh, Jah.
Jah pulled up with like eight or nine of his boys and like came into the, I'm just going
to say it to like a foot locker.
Yeah.
And like the kid like runs to the back, locks the door.
They're like pounding on the door.
Or they're like telling him where they're, where, uh, or that they're going to be like waiting for him and they're going to find out who he is and blah, blah, blah.
To be fair, you can't disrespect mom.
You know what I'm saying?
But the fact that the mom has a kid has a child in the NBA and her first thing.
Lord knows what this disrespect even was.
But her first reaction is to call her fucking NBA star child.
I think, well, it really does.
What's he going to come do?
Come beat him up.
Get in trouble.
It does depend on the disrespect.
And she's done that twice.
I forget it was she did that.
Then they were at a,
then he also beat up some kid
in like a pickup basketball game for some reason.
Then he also,
his mom was at some girls like,
I don't know,
high school basketball game or something like that.
And some kid in the stands was like talking shit to the girl.
Like, I don't know,
probably saying you're trash or something like that.
so his mom calls John Moran again
and John Moran pulls up with like
eight or nine guys to the like high school
and comes up the stands and is like in his face
like trying to like beat him up or something
like they're like pushing security
and like I think a security guard said he got punched
like but what mom would like call your
fucking son
I mean especially maybe maybe if you're not in the NBA
but I feel like it just
like trouble trouble
you know what I'm saying?
I feel like he's around some people.
He shouldn't be around.
Because he's really fucking good.
Yeah.
Like really good.
He does try to dunk on everyone.
He's got ups.
But it's fun to watch.
It is very fun to watch.
Yeah.
So how's the,
how of the watch party's been going?
I mean,
still great.
Yeah, still great.
I mean,
viewerships kind of declined a little bit,
but it's always,
that's kind of expected with like,
Call of Duty season.
I mean, it's always a wave.
So viewership gone,
went down a little bit.
Obviously.
For the regular season games?
Yeah, for the regular season.
The majors have all still been great.
Toronto's going to be incredible.
Yeah.
We're still figuring out like what space we want to use at Toronto.
So we either have,
so we have two options.
I don't really know if I should even be saying it.
But we have one that like looks over backstage,
but it's a smaller room.
We'd have to kind of be like crammed in there.
Or we're on the concourse.
And we can do like our full show.
So we're kind of still like.
Like concourse around fans and stuff?
So like the bowl that like,
like goes on because it's like a old hockey stadium so it's like the bowl that goes like where
the concessions and stuff would be okay um okay okay yeah so we're still figuring out like what
make sure to have security if you do that so yeah we're yeah there'd be fans and shit just
walking around yeah i know the so my biggest thing like about having fans around it is i don't
mind if fans are like around it i just don't want the show to be constantly interrupted because
obviously like it's still as a show and we're sitting there and trying to do our best so like
it's it's a it's a fickle line that we're like we're trying to figure out what we want to do yeah
what do you think about and or someone say because me and hitcher were talking about is like if
we walk in here and you're doing the watch party it's like we don't want to it's like such like if
you were doing this in the scuff house it'd be like not not necessarily a shit show but like people
would be popping in it'd be more random like would that be I know you're going to say no but like
is it annoying if like someone random pops in on the on the watch party it's not annoying if they
pop in but because like they're talking without a mic the people can't hear them and then you're
talking yeah so like a major three it happens so like fellow came into the room and he was like in
the corner uh like behind the couch and people were like who the fuck is talking like it was a disassociated
voice completely like that turns into the stream it's like we don't we don't know what the
It becomes chaos.
And obviously we want like a good product.
The watch party's been amazing and, you know, we're trying to do our thing.
So we're just trying to figure it out.
I'm sure it'll be great either way.
Did you have this in your head before as like you were retiring?
Or like when you were competing, did you think like I'm going to retire to do a watch party?
Absolutely.
Did you have that in mind?
Like something like, or you were just like I'm a watch from my PC at home?
More so the PC at home
But yeah
I didn't expect us to have like a full on thing
But it's it's turned out great
I love it
It's my favorite thing to do
I mean I already love watching call of duty
So I mean even after matches
I used to
After the match I'd get home
I'd sometimes rush home
Because we were playing like when I was still playing
For the most part we were in Friscoe still
So it was only 10 minutes to home
Yeah yeah yeah
So like after we'd go over our team talks
And all that stuff
I'd literally rush home
To try to catch like the last match
And be able to sit on the couch
and just chill and watch it. So it's always something I've enjoyed doing. It's my favorite thing
to stream right now. I mean, obviously people clown me for not streaming anything else,
but I don't really think people understand that once the watch party's gone, there's going to be
literally a whole offseason for me to... And off season long. For me to play everything else. So I'm
kind of just enjoying it right now. Kind of like splitting my time. So like it does give me a little
more time. Like if I, if I do wake up so like today, I have the option to stream. But so like,
I woke up at 8.30. I'm not going to get home till four and we're doing content all day. So it's like,
do I want to get home after already six hours of shooting content and then stream? Like the watch
party kind of grants me a little bit of freedom. Yeah. On, on how much I do like stream other
thing. So it's been nice. It's been great. The off season is going to be fun. Yeah, the
Offsheen's going to be great.
I mean, I'm looking forward a lot to, like, the apex grind.
I really want to, like, get.
That apex grind. I'm, like, excited to watch.
Yeah, so I want to get, like, myself, Zinny.
And then I, right now I want, like, Shotsie or I want to play with, like,
Shotsy Informal.
Like, I want to try to, like, do a really-
Shotsy Informal would be crazy.
Yeah.
Zinney's sitting there, like, why would you even say that?
So I want to do a really cool.
He's got the watch part.
I want to do a really cool, like, apex.
grind and then obviously there's going to be other games
Valerant. A lot of people have been telling me to play Valeran.
I love playing single player games.
So single player games, stuff like that.
I think the offseason is when we pop
back up the block world,
I think.
I have a little fun with some Minecraft.
Yes, please, bro.
I need something to where I'm not just pissed off.
I still don't know how to play.
Really?
I still don't know how to play.
I know the very basic stuff.
Yeah, you played for like two days.
Yeah.
You were making signs and shit outside
and like cess crib or something.
I don't know how to get to the,
I don't know how to get to the nether, right?
Yeah.
I know how to get there,
but you need like Flint and Stone,
obsidian, build the fucking thing.
But like after that point,
that's where it all goes away.
What could even be interesting?
Like, because I would love
if everyone was down to play Minecraft.
Like, I would feel...
I'm so done with, like, a shooter right now.
Maybe Apex if I had, like,
some kind of squad to play with or something.
but like I don't know I'm just so over I have something weird I'm going to do that's very I guess out of the box that I plan on doing with IRL streaming but I would love to if all of us came back played Minecraft what do what do people like to watch people love watching people that have never played Minecraft play Minecraft because they get to sit there because there's like a yeah I mean the backseeding is re backseating is worst in Minecraft I kind of like the backseating of Minecraft I would yes tell me what the fuck you do actually no it's the worst in Apex. Apex. Apex.
Apex backseating is insane
because it's so decision-based
so if like you make a wrong move
then you look in chat and you're
expecting them and be like
oh good try and they're like
if you would have Valculted up here
then you would have
and if you're
and then there's that one kid
you suck
and that the you suck
is what'll make you snap
but there's a time when
in any time anywhere
he plays Minecraft
where you're like
10 hours in
and then like things just start moving
you start doing shit yourself
and you start like really loving
the game. It's so fun to watch people. I quit playing whenever I got the wings or whatever. I don't
even remember how I got the wings. You went all the way to the end and got the wings. Yeah, we beat,
I think it was me, maybe me, karma and formal. I think it was like my most viewed. I had like
5K plus viewers, I think, just randomly. And I think it was like me, Damon, maybe not Damon.
Me formal. I don't even remember. But is that where you get the wings at the very end?
Yeah, after you beat the dragon.
I got those and then I forget what happened.
I think I was just like still playing in my world.
Like people were still enjoying it.
And then I died with them somewhere.
And it was so far away.
Like I don't know if I crashed.
I don't know if I like exited the game,
exited the game came back and I was dead.
But I was just like, I'm not finding these.
And so I was like, there's no way I'm going through all this shit again.
That's the last time you played.
Yeah.
And that was the last fucking time I played that.
Hardcore World Warcraft has been very enticing to play.
Hasn't formal.
Formal's been playing.
Wow.
He's fucking.
I looked over and I saw him clicking away and I was like, oh, God.
So they made a hardcore mode for Classic.
So like if you die, you have to restart.
Oh, damn.
Classic is, it's way harder than retail right now.
So like retail, you could pull like three things whenever you have good gear and just destroy them.
And Classic, if you pull like two things at once, like it gets hair.
So, like, it's hardcore, and it's been pretty big right now.
That's dope.
Yeah.
I love hardcore, like, hardcore stuff.
But, but, dude, world of Warcraft, like, dude, if you die at, like, level...
Dude, I don't know.
If you die at, like, level 35, you've already been playing for, like, four or five days to get to
level 35.
I mean, some people that are, like...
Just above halfway, because the cap is 60.
Are you, are you even going to die if you're at 60?
I guess they're really shit.
Yeah, because then you have to do the raids and shit to progress.
And if you're in a raid and you wipe, everyone loses their account.
Dude.
Yeah, so I saw the other day, there was a, so whenever you kill Eixia, it's like one of the raid bosses and classic,
there's a big pole that goes up in the main city, so it's Stormwind or Orgmore, and a big pole goes
up and the head of the dragon gets put on top of it, and everyone gets a buff and shit for two hours,
and someone killed it the other day on hardcore.
So everyone had a buff?
Well, so everyone gets a buff, but the people that did it, like, they beat a raid boss in hardcore.
And no one died.
Well, I don't know if no people probably died.
Yeah, because I remember dying all the time.
Yeah, and those people are probably livid because they work to get the 60.
Shit.
That's like to get to 60, I mean, you're playing three weeks.
I've always wanted to experience a game with a, with raiding, like, rating with your, like, friends.
Because I've never, it, a World of Warcraft, if you've never played it, looks so like,
it looks so foreign
like it looks so hard to like dip your toes
into yeah it's
it isn't it isn't I mean it's like retail
is super easy really yeah it's just easy
it's I mean they've made it a lot more like nude friendly
I guess but yeah classic like when classic back in the day
I mean people just miss it
that's I remember being
a kid getting home playing classic wow
I was a troll warrior and the Barron's it was great
I wish there was something like that in like a first person shooter
besides destiny
I mean, Destiny was fun.
The division.
Yeah.
I tried it as well.
Tom Clancy.
Oh, really?
Yeah, the division.
It was similar,
but like you'd go in to like,
there was like a zone
and it was like a PVP zone
and there were bosses in the zone
and you get like better gear,
but you could die.
And if you died in the zone,
you lost everything
so people could go in,
kill you, take all your shit,
get to the extract.
So the division like did something,
but the division kind of like just went away.
I don't really know.
Yeah, I don't really know what the fuck happened.
but I played that too. It was pretty fun.
That shit is fun.
What do you think about two things?
The next Call of Duty apparently is Mono Warfare 3.
Yep.
So we're completely skipping a Trajanque year.
So I think Mono Warfare 3 is just going to be MW2 re-skinned.
Probably a lot of the same mechanics.
They're coming out with a new war zone map.
Yeah.
Well, at least you get to rest one more year before coming back.
Because then, like, you know what I mean?
Or Trey Ark, another TreyR game.
Yeah. So, yeah, I don't know.
I just hope it's not like a rushed, a rushed product.
Obviously, MW2 people have their gripes with it, like no dead silence, no red dots.
Hopefully they listen to some of that stuff because...
It's Sledgehammer.
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't really know what to think about it.
I hope it's good.
I mean, I'm going to play it, obviously.
I might play it whenever it first comes out, see how it is, maybe do some of the throwback,
or the not throwback, the kickoff tournament, shit like that,
have a good time with it.
But yeah, we'll see how it is.
Obviously, I'm not competing anymore,
so I don't really have too many ties,
but obviously I want a good call of duty,
because I still want to go back and...
Give rid of fucking snaking.
Yeah, snaking.
I don't know, I have a pretty good emote that I like.
That's a good email.
I don't know how I really feel about the snaking situation.
I mean, I think it's cheesy,
but my initial take was bad.
I said I like the snaking in the game.
some of the snaking.
You liked it in the beginning?
Now the people have mastered it,
it's like sometimes it's just ridiculously annoying.
Unless you can like wall bang where they're snaking,
it just gets.
It's so stupid.
It just gets so cheat.
But yeah,
I hope it's good game.
I think it's just going to be a re-skinned with different guns,
but we'll see.
Let's just give up, man.
There's no good game ever coming out ever again.
And the last thing.
Well, Zelda came out today or yesterday.
Apparently that's pop and,
right now. What's that on?
PC?
So where do you get that?
Switch?
No.
Maybe.
Not for you.
Actually.
I kind of want to play.
I want to play Pokemon again.
Or maybe I'll play yours.
Dude,
please play mine.
Imagine I play yours and it just,
I record it and I get like 500K views.
Yeah.
You,
you pop?
I'd be so pissed.
The last,
the other thing,
wanted to ask you about, which I'm sure you can see it and you're prepared for it.
Activision's apparently paying Nick Merks to do a CDL champs watch party.
Yeah.
What are your thoughts?
As the king of watch parties right now.
I mean, I think it's great.
Honestly, the paying part, like people are going to say like, oh, they should be paying
scump, they should be paying scump, but like I already do it and I love doing it.
So, like, they could pay me, but does it really make sense for them?
probably not.
So they're bringing in another big influencer.
Nick Merck's obviously him and Tim just got his skin as well,
which people have been obviously fucking tweeting me
and roping me into the conversation and how do you feel about this?
And it's like, dude.
Skump skin would be amazing.
It would so.
It would sell.
Yeah.
I mean, I guess the biggest criticism is that Tim and Nick
over the past year have been like open about their dislikes.
of the game and then they still get you know these massive opportunities but they're bigger i mean
they're just bigger creators straight out so it's like it makes sense uh yeah it's interesting seeing like
the new wave of like like war zone creators like bacher bro's nuke squad i mean they're not new
they've been around for a couple years like the joe woes of the world and this is their first
time they've experienced some shit like this and the rest of us that i've been playing cod for 10 years
are just like, this is Activision.
Like they don't care about your dedication
of the game or your loyalty or they don't care about any of that.
They care about pen to paper to dollar sign
to input to output to profit.
That's all they care about.
And so, yes, Pomaj has been playing the game,
Call of Duty for 15 years.
But if you give Pomage a skin and you give Nick Merck's a skin,
one's going to make more money.
So Nick Merck's is going to get the skin.
And that's just how it is.
Yeah, that's how it is.
I mean, can't be too upset about it.
You know, they've done a good job.
They've built their brands up.
In terms of the watch party, I mean, it can't be a negative,
obviously, call of duty.
Esports, ever since the watch parties have came in,
the viewership has been basically doubled.
We broke viewer records on just regular majors,
so I can't imagine what Champs is going to be like.
I think it's going to be fucking dope.
All right, guys, time to talk about the supporters of the podcast,
the advertisements, and first, we got prize picks.

All right guys,
thank you.
Thank you so much for watching the most important part of the podcast,
which is when I talk to you and tell you how beautiful you are.
Now, back to the other one.
Is your, do you have the record for most viewers for,
like call of duty ever
watching like a single match
no not me
not me specifically
like your stream isn't
no like what's like the most viewers
Cata's ever had
probably like 300K and a champs final
but that was like before watch party
so that was all on like the CDL
the call of duty channel now it's like
now it gets split up
damn 300K I'm surprised I'd even got that
yeah I'm really wonder
I mean it is split up more now
dude in in uh
blockups too like in pool play there was like
if I remember correctly I could be
what is this 400
22, 439,000
What?
Oh shit, the Spanish
the Spanish guys.
Wait.
Okay, well that's different.
That's different.
What was it?
So the, the,
all the top creators in Spain
through a Mono Warfare 3
throwback tournament randomly and it had like
450,000 viewers.
Dude. Yeah, that's insane.
Yeah. But yeah.
But that was literally the biggest
creators like in the world.
Yeah, Zinney, uh, we, we, we had a pool day yesterday.
Me and Zinny and Zinny was like, Zinny was like, Nick Merck, CDL watch party.
And I was like, just read me the comments.
That's all I said.
I just said that's, I was in the pool literally on my floaty.
And I was like, I was like, just read a couple comments to me.
But they were, they were all like, they were all fine.
I mean, yeah.
It is what it is, you know.
Love Nick.
So.
Yeah.
Luckily it's two guys that we and.
Yeah.
joy. If it was somebody that was just like,
dude, that's a bad look, that would suck.
But I like Nick a lot. I liked him a lot.
I think it's cool. Can't hurt. I mean, more viewers
on God. Yeah. Fuck it.
If they want to pay me.
If they want to pay me.
Nick? Yeah, guys.
Do you guys, I'm down to
watch party. I'll bring in a few
hundred. You guys, if you guys want
throw a little bag my way, hey, why not?
Fortnite rank drops tomorrow
So that means
That's kind of crazy
Well no they've had ranked
No I think it's like real ranked though
They had like their challengers
Like playlist right
Where you get like points
They had like a quality
I looked at that like it was just ranked
No they've got like like the symbols
And everything they get in like
They're gonna come out with real ranks
Do it right
If they did that for no build
I might be interested in that
There's no build duos
Ranked
Really? Yeah
I really want a trios
for obvious reasons, but it didn't happen.
That's cool.
So there's not squads?
No squads ranked?
No squads ranked.
Just do a, well, there's squads ranked.
There's squads ranked in build, but I ain't pressing all those buttons.
Well, isn't competitive Fortnite 3-3?
Or is it, it's 2 v2 and 3-3, right?
For like competitive Fortnite?
So, like, it makes sense.
Yeah.
But for more casual players, you know.
Yeah.
I'd love to, a quad, no-build ranked would be,
so sick. Dude, I think that shit
would blow up. Yeah. Especially like all the guys
that play that stuff, like,
like Ninge, Lupo, you know,
Jack. Because I'd be a lot more inclined to
play that than, I mean,
I'm, I'm, I'll straight up saying, I don't think I'll ever
play Fortnite built. I just, we're too
far behind at this point. I don't think I'll ever play it again.
Yeah, I played it before when it was like
on its come up, like season five
when everyone was like still kind of
newbie with the builds, but like you could, some people
were starting to get crack. Dude, it's
so crazy how much it evolved.
like how are yeah I go I go back and like watch some of my first videos I mean I don't actually do that
but just like thinking about my like I'm not going back watch my old fortnight vids but like thinking back to
them I was I was so noob and everyone's so slow like how to it's so insane how much people
just evolve and just get better like it's nowadays it's there's like there's like no ceiling like if
you would like imagine if someone at this skill and the
game first came out.
You're just like, what the...
Dude.
People say, I mean, I know I talk about Smash all the time,
but I like it because the game,
people started playing competitively in 2002.
Yeah.
And by 2010,
you can see the progression.
But now, in order to get to,
from 2002 good to 2010 good,
it'll take like four months of practicing.
Because of,
because everyone's so much better at everything now.
Yeah.
Like, if you never played Smash before
and you dedicate hours of like research and like figuring out how to play,
You can get 2002 to 2010 good in half a year.
And it's just so much.
And that's what you see.
Dude,
I was even seeing X Defiant clips.
And I'm like, dude, already, people just.
Oh, yeah.
It's annoying.
Like, can we just have fun again?
I mean, they're having fun.
They're just going hard.
They're having fun.
Video games became.
Is it a big difference from like almost like Fortnite?
But with Smash from 2002?
to now?
Like how?
Oh, yes.
No, do they just, no, do they look like on Super Smash?
Do they look cracked when they're playing now?
Yes.
Compared to like, is it like 2002, you're watching a hex montage?
Right.
Nowadays, it's like watching Shotsie.
But even like 2006, like those guys, like even then it was just like, dude, how do they move
like that?
Like the, I think the skill ceiling and melee especially is, it's like melee and rocket
League and Fortnite are like
crazy. I mean
I don't watch, the only thing I don't watch
is like, like mobas.
Mobas, is that? Mobos, yeah,
like Dota. Dota and League. I don't watch
those, so I don't know.
League was fun. Or do you ever get in a league?
A little bit. What did you play?
Renecton. Support?
No, the fucking alligator.
You play top?
He was a, I think he was a top, yeah.
Top or a juggler?
Yeah. League was fun.
I love Renek. It'd be funny seeing
TSD play league.
People ask us that all,
100 hours of leave?
But you would,
like, maybe.
We would have 150 viewers.
Without a doubt,
we'd have 150 viewers.
It's a sacrifice.
You got to,
it's an investment.
Once we get up to a certain sub,
sub goal,
then yes,
sure, we'll dedicate some time
for a YouTube video.
But right now,
we just did 100 hours of apex.
And like our viewership,
it does really well on YouTube,
but our viewership kind of trickles a little bit
because we're not playing cod.
So now we're playing,
We're playing cod for a little bit.
What are you guys doing on cod?
Well, right now we're watch partying one of the women's,
we're sponsoring a women's team.
So we're watching them and they're disgusting.
And that's been a lot of fun.
Could they beat you guys?
Absolutely.
Really?
I actually want to grab a player.
Either like Bruce serves in or you if you're down and play them.
That shit would be fun.
Just going to fuck them up.
No mercy.
The pro player would do well.
Us, we haven't played, we've been playing Apex for a while.
We know rotations and shit, though.
Bro, I want to play with you guys.
We've been playing Apex.
Oh, you've been playing Apex.
Yeah, so like, cod skills are little.
Our cod skills are.
I wish you guys played in the morning.
Yeah, I wish you played at night.
Should it would be fun?
I just, I don't know.
At like, night times are for the 6 p.m.ish.
It's like everything.
You either have to stream before a certain someone or after.
So you go before.
I go.
Yeah.
We kind of, we kind of do have this down.
Bro, league would be fucking fun.
this, but I don't know who the fifth would be.
But it would be so fun seeing like how I would,
I think it'd be funny seeing like Blake and George get into it
just because that's, you would, you'd be support player.
Like, you know, you'd be trolling.
I'd be trolling.
Those two go at it, especially in Apex.
If somebody makes a wrong move in Apex and gets knocked,
like somebody gets blood in Apex, I never catch this stuff.
Oh, here it comes.
Here it comes.
Because then in the post game, it's all quiet.
And then Blake will go,
Okay, so what happens when, and I'm like, here it comes.
Does it ever get weird?
No, I mean, I don't understand how people play that game with other people that they're not like that close of friends with.
I don't know.
Like, Matt and Raj play together.
I don't know how they still come to work the next day.
I would freak out.
They're probably like all chill.
They're like, nice try.
Yeah.
Matt's, Matt's so much better than them.
Matt's having a drink.
So maybe that's the issue.
Matt's hammer.
hammered just
still out slaying rod
he's just good try
good try
but yeah
I'm super excited
to watch the
apex grind
because that video
the video on your second channel
did well right
the apex
it keeps popping up on my feed
the tarcove one did really well
I'm not really sure about the apex one
but the tarcove one did pretty well
second channel is hard to grow
dude
it's hard to fucking grow it
well you're doing well
we have a second channel
you probably never even heard about
it's hard to
I want to talk about something
though Infinity Ward says the final three
maps for MW2 this year are more
built for competitive
uh
let it out
uh it's a little fucking late
what are we talking about here
we are mid season we are in our last
split can you highlight it
this is our last split and then
it's champs
you know what here's some
competitive maps
would have
people think of this pool map.
We already have our...
It's about when I stop playing.
That's okay.
Himmel mat plays good on control.
I like watching it a lot more than a...
Jesus Christ.
Let me read that.
I think the final ship year, we already have our plan for post-launch, multiplayer
design director, Jop Smith told us, maybe those maps haven't been started, but at least
we've earmarked what they could or should be.
There's always kind of a rough plan.
Different things happen.
Different situations come up, and those plans can change.
But we've been trying to get better at pre-planning for post-launch stuff.
Okay, that didn't really answer anything.
Yeah, what the hell?
As a fun side note, I'll probably get in trouble for this.
But the last three maps of this year, we've kind of learned or leaned into maps, I think, would play that style.
Am I fucking tweaking?
Play that style really well.
Because he was talking about CDL.
Smith T's speaking on the more competitive chunk of the cognitive.
So that's good and all, but I mean, it's just.
That's not good.
Well, it's good that they're like trying to make maps for it, but I mean, we are major five is in next, major five's next fucking weekend.
And they're not adding a map before champs.
If they do that, that would be insane.
You know, you're going to chance.
I hope they do.
There's a new search and destroy on the map rotation.
I hope they do.
All the worst search teams are just like run it, run it, run it.
Nobody has reptiles.
Wait, so what are they doing?
They're adding, I kind of blacked out.
Are they adding three maps?
They're adding three maps, apparently, that are all there.
They're going to add three maps to the rotation.
No, no, no, no, to the game
that are built for competitive is what
he's insinuating.
So they're not insinuating that they're
going to be played. Right. It's just
three lane maps that would be good for a competitive
environment. So maybe they're like, it's like
a test. Like they're going to test,
you know what I'm saying, but it's too late.
But
well, rank play is going to be dead right after
Champs. Right after Champs is over
like there'll be some people playing ranks still
but like all the pros
like they're
they're not gonna be playing that shit
isn't it just nothing of cheaters
yeah I've played ranked
like kind of specifically for that reason
what about you itch
not not much ranked play
I played the first season
you guys have been grinding
this game broke my heart bro
this one
why
what's your favorite game of all time
Halo 2 probably
imagine if they re-released
imagine if they released a game tomorrow
called Halo 2
2.
Halo 2 anniversary,
but I kind of like that one too.
No,
no, no.
Not Halo 2,
not a remake.
Another one called Halo 2.
Another one.
Another game just called Halo,
but it was Roman numerals this time.
Halo 2.
Uh-huh.
And now imagine your BR
was a single shot.
I'm already mad.
There was no,
there was radar,
what is it?
Do you guys like radar or not?
I can't remember.
We don't like radar.
Imagine there was radar always on all the time.
Uh-huh.
And imagine they took,
out snipes and rockets.
And they took out
the good maps.
Yeah, no pit.
Only. No
sank. No sanctuary.
No pit. No lockout.
Yeah. Only.
You had to play on big team battle.
A midship. Maps.
What was the one map outside, the big circle
in the center with the tree on the left? You could jump
on top of. There was a lift. Is it a
big map or a, like, competitive
map? And then you could lift up
from the bottom and then you lift it up.
lockout lockout lockout no no no no no the green one the green was it was it a
competitive map yeah you're like outside I mean I'm trying to explain it their envis was outside
the lift you know that you would lift up from the bottom rockets were bottom mid blood gulch
lift up and halo two was it I thought it was halo two may oh it was probably halo three
beaver Creek I think it's just saying shit but I really narrows no
It's okay.
No, we got to find it now.
Guardian.
Oh, Guardian.
Yeah, Halo 3.
I love Guardian.
Halo 3, I think, had the best maps of any game ever, ever, maybe.
They were good.
Pit, Narrows, Guardian,
do you remember?
Contrake heretic.
Do you remember reading before the game came out that eventually there was going to be an update
where they added, like, Terminal and High Rise and Scrapyard?
Do you remember reading that?
or am I delusional?
Do you remember reading that?
I don't think you're delusional.
What?
For MW2.
Because when MW2 got announced, people were like,
well, at least if they make the old maps,
then that'll be fine.
But then the old maps never came.
Yeah.
And then new maps never came.
They re-released,
the new maps that were released
were maps that were originally supposed to be in,
but were copyright struck.
Damn.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
No, I hear you.
Anyway, I don't want to shit.
I don't want to, this is, we did 100 hours of this game
and then we didn't make a video
because it would literally have just been us shitting on it
the whole time. So we decided.
Wait, really?
The high road, yeah.
Wait, you did 100 hours on this and did it?
I've ranked, yeah.
And then you're not gonna release it.
On MW2, I think he said.
On MW2.
Yeah, he's not saying.
Yeah, not Halo, not Halo.
But, yeah.
I don't know.
I don't know how to feel about Cod.
But you say you like the game, so.
In comparatively.
I don't this.
I don't like the snaking and the dead silence.
I kind of like it.
I might be retracting.
You might be retracting?
Yeah, Vanguard.
At least we had Daddy.
I mean, I didn't really like slide canceling and stuff like that,
but at least we had Daddy.
Deady.
Dude.
And Red Dot.
I like the way the game feels.
I don't mind the maps.
It's just the dead silence and the snaking.
I mean, the sound EQ.
Yeah.
It's just,
it just evolved to do like a weird,
a weird play.
Yeah, it's just not.
cod but
the guys are frying
the guys are frying
that's fine
that is that is very fun
correct
so now what
what
what do you mean
I thought you're going to read a topic
you want me to be the fucking host guy
and I chose to join Rumble for exclusive
Rumble
wait it's exclusive I thought it was not exclusive
just the show is exclusive
right this is bro the trailer for this was
amazing. I haven't seen the trailer. Can we watch the trailer?
What? The trailer for this is amazing.
Oh shit. They should, like,
they should be actors. Like, this could be a fucking movie.
Really? You'll see.
Yeah, let's watch it. Unless I'm just completely wrong.
I've been thinking
since you been, let's start our own show.
No, man, I'm getting out. Professional
football player. Professional
footballer, me United.
Striker. Bro,
get orphanado's dick.
You ice show speed from Ohio. The only thing that
you striking is messy me and your mom.
Alright, so he's starting a show.
What the fuck we doing?
Oh.
I don't know what the fuck is going.
Oh, my God.
Dude, what is going on?
He hit the camera, man.
Right.
Ain't anybody going to.
You're right.
You're going to fuck anyways, guys.
Bro, you're from Ohio.
This bitch you from the Bronx.
Bro.
Fuck me.
That shit's kind of epic.
That shit was epic.
I don't know what this show.
I don't know.
This article probably doesn't.
and fucking say anything about what the show is going to be.
That's not, that was not bad.
That was pretty bad.
I don't know what they're going to do,
but that's a good duo right there.
Oh yeah.
That's top tier content creation.
Bro, I don't know how Kai does it.
Like, I'll randomly click on a stream sometimes.
150% energy the entire time.
It's not,
every time.
Nonstop energy.
He'll do fucking 20-hour streams,
and it's like that the entire time.
Then I'll stream himself sleeping,
And then it's like, dude.
Some people are just like built different.
And he's even got energy in his sleep.
Some people are literally just built fucking different.
Wait, is it live right now?
Wait, what is the guy in speech show?
That's the trailer.
Wait, the one below is the trailer.
What the hell?
Oh, okay.
So it's like a waiting screen.
Wait, when's it come out?
Four, one.
Oh, so in 10 days.
Is that what it was a?
10 days.
So they already have like a trailer and there's like a...
It's kind of dope.
Yeah.
I mean, it's going to be crazy if these other streaming platforms, like, because Rumble's making a little bit of waves, obviously.
And Kik is making waves.
It's going to be crazy to see if one of those like really ticks off and...
Kick's trying to make waves.
Aidan Ross claims Kaisenet and speed turned down 40 mil to kick.
It's a lot of cash.
what speed is fucking like 17
isn't he 18 maybe now
yeah he's young like dude oh oh oh so for that show
for that show kick offered 40
and they so that means rumble
rumble's got fucking top g money
what is rumble yeah who
I don't think I've really ever heard of rumble is where
Andrew Tate's content is
so they paid him a fucking
ton. I mean, I don't know
where they get their money, but
Rumble is literally just another
streaming site. It's got to be backed by.
And I think it's a you, it's kind of
like YouTube. Rumbos like YouTube. So it's
live streaming and you upload content. How long
has it been a thing? I've
only known of it since
Andrew Tate did some
of his shit on there. Oh.
Oh my God. It's been around for nine
years. But like, I've been on the
website and no one,
I don't see anything on it. So it's not
Matt, it's not like a part of anything.
So I don't know what they're trying to do.
Facebook or anything.
I mean, I'm sure not Facebook, but...
Damn, was Mixer like just too ahead of its time,
or do they not just do enough?
I don't know, but Ninja and Trowell don't care.
I mean, what was Mixer's splits even?
Like, were they...
Was it just like Twitch, like 70-30 and shit like that, 50-50?
Could not tell you a...
Because the reason I see a lot of people, like...
I guess you could say like low-tier streamers
just like going to kick
because they're like fuck it
might as well try this
splits better so they think like
all right if I have 100 subs on Twitch
if I can go to kick get 100
subs you know 50 subs
50 subs yeah yeah all you'd need was
50 subs that's
I think that
that
kick versus Twitch
battle is coming
you think like the
no I'm thinking I have a
because it is
very similar.
It's very similar.
I don't know
if I want to say what I'm doing
but I'm thinking about
whenever I start doing this
IRL streaming stuff
and I'm like building it this week
me and Matt Craig
but I'm thinking about just going to kick
and just like winging it
because right now it's like
I haven't streamed on Twitch
and over a week
it was at I was just
I was playing Halo
and sometimes I do like
my IRL stream walks
and they would go
pretty decent
but it was just like
streaming on Twitch
with like obviously I have my community there
then I don't want to
like it would give me hope
when I sign on then the same people are joining
like saying what's up
but it was just like getting so fucking boring
it just like
from from a gameplay
from gameplay wise like
you need to find just Halo and cod
I know it's a
and I saw Jack
Jack tweeted about
recently he's been in a courage for anyone uh he said he's been in a weird spot with like gaming he
feels like the games aren't really scratching that itch that he used to get from yeah not at all
games and i mean it's it's hard that's why i kind of want to do this irl stuff people expect you to
make contents like i'm just going to just personalize it but like people expect me to play
rank play you know and and get on rank still and it's like i just don't really find as much
enjoyment playing ranked anymore on Call of Duty, especially now that I'm not competing.
It's like, and I feel like that pressure kind of, for me to play rank, kind of deter.
It doesn't deter me from streaming other things, but it's like, obviously, you know how it is,
streamers, like, viewership's going to take a hit.
So it's kind of hard to break out of that box, if you know what I'm saying.
Yeah, I'm figuring like where I'm at right now.
And if I'm going to try something completely different, which is going to be like just not
strictly IRL streams, but I'm going to start something new with IRL streaming.
Probably, I'm going to try to get a setup this week, the start of next week.
And I might just say, fuck it and go to kick.
And then maybe, maybe IRL stream on kick and then like, I don't know if that's going
to work.
Like, IRL stream on kick.
And then if I play.
If you go to kick, make sure you're consistent.
Don't go to kick for one time and you see 17 viewers.
you're like, well, I'm never doing this again.
Don't do that because it's just a new platform.
Yeah.
Gotta build it.
Yeah, we'll see.
All right, well, we're about to go, I'm about to go host a show where these two
to eat.
Potentially throw up.
Like, dude, I have a, do we realize I have a day ahead of me?
Ooh, it's going to be fun.
You guys are going to have to be their heads.
Wait, what's the calories on it?
No, I'm kidding.
Oh, my God.
Don't worry about the calories because you're going to take one bite of whatever it is and
you're not going to want to touch it again.
The squid tentacles mixed in,
Barbecue sauce.
Ooh, it's going to be fun.
That actually might be good.
I don't know.
Barbecue makes everything good.
It does.
Dead ass.
All right, guys.
Thank you guys so much for watching this episode of the Outtick podcast.
We will be back with the next one.
If you don't watch it, I'm going to come and find you, and I'm going to slap you right in the mouth.
I don't think you can say that.
Oh.
And they fuck you up.
Later.
