Starting point is 00:00:08 Welcome to Otherworld. I'm your host, Jack Wagner. This episode comes from a girl named Taryn, who is 26 now, but this experience happened in 2015. Something that's really striking about this episode to me is that Taryn's background and where she lives and why she lives there are almost as unsettling as the experience that she's coming on the podcast to share. Terran and her family live in a graveyard. Not near a graveyard. They literally live in a house that's inside of a graveyard, as in there are headstones in what is essentially her front yard. I don't think I've ever heard anything like that before.
Starting point is 00:00:55 The surprising thing is what happened to Terran and why I'm talking to her has nothing to do with the fact that she lives in the graveyard. And it's not the type of story that you'd expect to hear from a person living in such a place. I will let her explain further. This episode is called The Sleepover, and you're listening to Otherworld. Is it Bobby? At its core, the science, you can't argue. It's not only, all of a science.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Up in the sky. It's almost frustrating that it's happening. I'm going to die. It's limbs were just like wrong. Everybody moves back into the light. even if it takes them of it. My name is Terran Rakes. I'm 25.
Starting point is 00:02:07 I turn 26 next month. Yay. I live in Brooklyn. I am a bartender. And I've been in the service industry for like five years. Yeah, my day-to-day life, I just hang out with my roommates who are my best friends. And like, I don't know. I'm still trying to figure everything out.
Starting point is 00:02:27 I'm a very flighty person. I've moved to like four different cities since I was 18. I'm like, don't know what I'm doing, but it's okay. I feel content in myself and like, yeah, I'm happy to be back in New York. This is my third time living in New York. I'm from Ardmore, Pennsylvania. This is like where all this happened. I'm from a family of five.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I'm the youngest. My parents separated right around when this happened. My dad's an arborist, so he had his own tree, company. He still does have his own tree company. And my mom was a stay-at-home mom, and she'd, like, cleaned houses on the side. Our big house was in the woods in Delaware County. But, yeah, it was a big five-story house, beautiful backyard, swing set, like, tree swing set, trampoline. Like, I swear kids just came over, even if they didn't like me. They were just like, oh, like, Taryn's got, like, the cool. fun house. Yeah, we basically went bankrupt because my dad couldn't pay bills. And we moved out of this
Starting point is 00:03:38 beautiful big home. And then I was at church with my mom one Sunday and we saw a for rent sign in the graveyard across the street. So it's like these rent controlled houses in the graveyard rented by the church. My parents lost a child before I was born and he's buried there. So my mom was like, is even more assigned from God. So we moved in there in like 20, end of 2012. And yeah, I just lived in a graveyard. Like the view of my bedroom was just a graveyard. They could bury people as close to as our front yard if they wanted to. If you look to the left out the side door, yeah, it's like all the graves from like the 1800s. And like there's the old part. It's like a very old graveyard. And then there's like the newer parts like to the to the right.
Starting point is 00:04:31 I could sit on my roof of my bedroom, like the little porch roof. I would climb out my bedroom window and sit on my porch roof. And, yeah, it was just a view of the whole graveyard. I think it used to trip me out when I first moved there being like, oh, my God, my brother's buried here. And how crazy that is. And like, does that make me spiritually connected to him more? Because he's closer? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I grew up in a house of grief my whole life. I was born into this grieving family. who lost a child. And I feel like there's always been this essence of like a ghost. My dad would always say, how is it that I've had two big, beautiful homes? And 25 years later, I somehow end up where I buried my son. He still lives there to this day.
Starting point is 00:05:20 He refuses to move. He feels like it's his destiny to be there for my brother. Overall, it's just kind of like, it's a sad house to me. I was also online schooled for high school because I was bullied really bad. I had a skin disorder head to toe. So I was very insecure as a high school or you hit puberty. You're like, I don't know, just as a girl, young girl with psoriasis head to toe. Like literally when I say everywhere, it was everywhere.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Like people knew me as that. Like I wasn't associated with my own name. They would just be like, oh, the girl with that rash on her face or something like that. So I would do my schoolwork in my room and my mama would go clean houses. My dad would be at work and I would be in bed. Like when I wasn't supposed to be in bed, I had a desk I was supposed to be at, but I would be in bed doing school work and then napping. I was really bad at school.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I hated it. I really didn't like it. But it actually happened on a school day. It was 11 in the morning. I was in a class when it happened. I was 15 years old. and my mom would be at work. So I had like a four-hour window to just like lay in bed and not get caught being in bed doing schoolwork.
Starting point is 00:06:36 This day in particular was really rainy. It was cold, I think it was March 2015, I believe. So it was like edging the end of the school year. And yeah, I fall asleep for a nap because I was up online all night. Like I had a tumbler. Like I was, I was an online kid. So I stayed up way too late. and so I did not want to be doing schoolwork.
Starting point is 00:06:59 As I fall asleep, I'm in class. I'm laying on my right side. My laptops, like, kind of to the left of me in bed. And I remember it being like 11, 11, 15 in the morning. And as I'm falling asleep, I'm like, it feels like hazy. Like, I feel really tired. I've taken pain medicine for my arthritis before. It kind of felt like if you were taking, like, a purk acid.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Your whole body, like, slumps. Your body feels like jelly. And as I'm falling asleep, even though I was stiff, I could just feel this, like, tingling sensation in my whole body. And this is when I start to feel strong wind on my back. It feels like somebody is blowing an industrial. fan on my back. And this is when I realized I can't move my body.
Starting point is 00:08:02 I'm awake. I've never had sleep paralysis before this. I didn't even know what it was. And I'm looking around my room. I'm looking like to the left of my room. And I'm looking at my ceiling. And I'm like trying to like see if I can wiggle my legs. Because like you know how it feels when your legs fall asleep.
Starting point is 00:08:21 It started to kind of feel like that. But as my eyes. are roaming around my room. I shift my eyes completely forward when I'm laying on my right side. And I see this alien head right in my face. Like, I'm shaking, telling it, honestly. He's like right face to face with me. I don't see his whole body though.
Starting point is 00:08:46 So I'm assuming that it or he or whatever is standing, I feel like that would be like a good like four feet tall based off like height of my bed frame and everything. I had like a wooden bed frame that was pretty high up. You had to hop onto it. Like sometimes I would step onto my trunk in front of my bed to get into bed. My face like was on my pillow and he was just directly there. I just was staring at it. I'm just like, what? It's in my face. So I didn't really look down. I just see his shoulders and his head and his eyes. I could see it's like skin texture. So detailed.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Like the flesh looked wet. And he had like sunken in cheekbones. And that's when I could notice the purple like coloring and like gray coloring. And it looked like just gunky. Like it looked like he did not have smooth skin. He just looked really shiny and like gooey. The mouth just looked like a straight line. It looked like a slit as a mouth, small.
Starting point is 00:09:59 I didn't see it open its mouth. The nose were just like too little exposed nostrils. It was weird because, I don't know, you don't think you're going to see a alien. It's not something you're like supposed to see, I guess. And when I saw how detailed this thing was, Even when I go to the zoo and I see animals, I've seen pictures of growing up, they still kind of look like the picture. It's just, this was just so hyper detailed. It's like looking at like somebody face to face and seeing every pore and like its movement and like it's just shocking.
Starting point is 00:10:45 I was in shock. I was generally just terrified. I wanted my mom. This is like my worst nightmare. Like it felt as real as day as. as walking down the street and seeing a human being or your dog or your animal. It felt like even just looking at myself in the mirror or just like talking to your friend up close. It felt that real.
Starting point is 00:11:14 He was just gray and disgusting. Like it was freaky. And I'm trying to scream as loud as I can. I cannot scream for the life of me. and I'm just locked in its eyes are the classic alien eyes like classic black deep dark black eyes probably like
Starting point is 00:11:32 the size of half my face were the size of this creature's eyes and as I'm blinking it's blinking with me I tried to scream as much as I can and I'm awake like I'm awake like I'm it feels like I am awake
Starting point is 00:11:51 I looked at him for about a minute before I decided to just shut my eyes and try to actually fall asleep because I didn't want to look at it anymore. I'm just going to close my eyes and pretend this isn't happening because there's no fucking, like there's no way this is happening to me right now. It feels like a hazy dream after that because all I remember in this haze and just being asleep but not, I remember just seeing, three of them. They look identical to each other. And it was blurry and it was bright. It's kind of like how I imagine somebody who wears prescription glasses. And I don't wear prescription glasses. It just felt like there was a barrier or like a clear like wall like like separating us. So like I like to
Starting point is 00:12:48 explain it as like a glass wall. Even if I don't know it was glass, there was a separation between me and these three beings. It looked like I was somewhere else, man. It was just bright. I did not feel like I was in my room. I felt like I was on drugs. And then I wake up at 12.12 p.m. I remember this.
Starting point is 00:13:11 I look at my phone. It's 12, 12 p.m. I can finally move. And I call my mom immediately to come home. I'm like, I'm so scared. You need to come in. I had the worst, like, nightmare. She's like, she's an aggressive woman.
Starting point is 00:13:22 She's like, what do you mean? where you sleep like you're supposed to do schoolwork like i was like you need to come home right now i'm terrified like i just had the most messed up nightmare i explained to her what happened she's like that's so weird like it was just a dream like that's that's weird and then the more i convinced her i'm like i'm genuinely so scared to go to sleep can my best friend siana sleep over tonight like i cannot go to sleep after this i don't think i even finished class that day because I was just shaking. I was smoking cigarettes at the time. I was a young smoker. I started at like 13 years old. So I'm smoking a cigarette on the porch. And I'm waiting for Siana to get out of school because she was still in public school to come over because I texted her. I'm like, please sleep over.
Starting point is 00:14:10 She's like, no problem. She lives like a five minute drive up the road. Our parents talk. They're like, that's okay. Keep an eye on them. and my friend comes over around 5 p.m. that day, and we go back into my room, and we're just talking on the bed, I tell her what happened. I did notice my pillow case was hanging off of my pillow, and there was a blood stain on it. It wasn't wet, it was dry, and it still looked fairly red, about like three inches. It looks pretty fresh. It's not completely brown but not completely red. And I figured I had a nosebleed when all that happened. The way it looked, I figured, oh, that's exactly the position I was laying on my pillow for me to have a nosebleed. So I was like, I kind of dismissed it.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I was like, I don't know what this is. But there was no blood on my face. If it were to have happened, my face must have been smushed or like I've just, I don't. I don't know. That's something that I feel like it's hard to, maybe it's important to say, but it's hard to really know if that's relevant. Because I did dismiss that. I feel like that's something I dismissed in the moment of all this happening. I was just still in shock. I mean, that just happened and like, I really don't know. It took me a while to fall asleep that night. Siana falls asleep before me.
Starting point is 00:15:46 me. I get to bed around like 3 a.m. I'm like on my phone scrolling or my laptop. I don't remember. Around like seven or eight in the morning, I wake up in excruciating pain. There was blood dripping down my leg and it's hurting so bad. It was like a nosebleed amount of blood. Like it was dripping. Like it was dripping down my leg. Like it was down to my foot. Like I wake Siana up and she's like, what are you freaking out for? What are you freaking out for? I was like, this hurts so fucking bad. And I try to stand on it. Like, I'm getting up from my bed. And as I put weight on it, it hurts so bad. Like, I can't even put weight on my left leg. So I'm, like, kneeling down on my bedroom floor. Siana's like, what the hell is going on? Like, we need to take you to the hospital. Why is your leg bleeding?
Starting point is 00:16:35 Like, my dad comes in before work. And he's like, what the hell's going on? And Siana's like, like, I don't know her legs bleeding. We don't know why. Like, she just woke up. It was like chaos. It was like chaos. My dad didn't really care. Like he was just like, okay, kids. Like, I'm going to work. Like, what the fuck? And I'm looking at this thing. Like, I'm kneeling and looking at my back leg. And it's bleeding and I get a tissue and I keep wiping. And I'm like, what the hell? Like, something is rejecting from my body. Like, something is rejecting from this. I felt like I needed to squeeze it. like a pimple. Like, I was like, there's something, like, it hurts so bad that I'm like, I start squeezing it, like a cyst or like a pimple. So I'm squeezing this. And I'm in pain. Like, I'm like making grunts and noises and I pop it. Cianna's right there with me. And this like little like gooey like ball thing comes out. When it popped out, I thought it was just pus. So I picked it up. So I picked it with the tissue and then I could feel through the tissue that it was a hard object. I was like, what the hell is this?
Starting point is 00:17:51 And I remember saying, what is this to my friend? And I'm like, here, feel it. And she's like, what the F is this? And I'm looking at the tissue and it has like this green and like gray gunk on it. It's like kind of, it's like gross. Like it looks like there's like infection on it or something. But it's a hard object. Like, it looked like a bead.
Starting point is 00:18:18 But it was like, it was perfectly round. Just had this, like, gunk over it. I don't know what it was. It looked like just like a metal ball. Like, it was just hard. I remember I couldn't squeeze it. Honestly, I've never said this out loud, but I do think about it. And I think this is a good time to bring it up.
Starting point is 00:18:37 But, like, the way that the alien's, like, skin looked like, The like goo or like gunk or whatever that was on this ball looked similar. It looked like gray and purple greenish. But it wasn't like a lot. It was just like around the surface of it. It was honestly kind of small but like not crazy small. Like it was big enough to leave a decent scar. I was like oh my god, like that needed to come out of my body.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Like that, I, I don't. I definitely had relief, and I put a band-aid over it, and you're spore and all that jazz. But the way that it was bleeding made me think that it was rejecting from my body. Do you know what I mean? Because, like, I don't know why it would have been bleeding. I had no idea what was happening. And, yeah, I remember just putting it in, like, a tissue and, like, throwing it away. And I didn't really learn until I researched for, like, three weeks after, like, what might have just happened.
Starting point is 00:19:43 to me or what that object was and like maybe I should have kept it but I honestly don't think I looking back on it I don't think I'd want to keep it um because it's terrifying like sweating telling the story right now it's such a blur after that day I googled everything that could have happened to me I went into the deepest die possible about this stuff like Like, I lost my mind. My mom had to take me down to our vacation house in North Carolina with her for like four months because I was genuinely going crazy. I was just trying to get out of my mind about it. But honestly, all that did was make me go crazier.
Starting point is 00:20:34 And my mom took me to a therapist. I convinced her too because I was begging. I was like, please, I need to talk to somebody. because my mom's very dismissive of that stuff, which is her own beliefs. But she said, you know what you're going. You're coming to live with me for the summer. And we're going to get your mind right. And you're going to help the neighbors with like these farm animals in North Carolina.
Starting point is 00:21:03 And like during that time, I still was like researching all this stuff. I got really into, yeah, alien abduction stories. and I found this program called Mufon. So I reached out to Mufon when I was in North Carolina. And I told them what happened to me. And I had a guy call me. And he's like, I read your email or your submission. And I just want you to know this happens to thousands of people all the time.
Starting point is 00:21:38 And he wrote this all down. I wanted to publish it on Mufon, but I remember my mom had to sign this paper to get it released because I was under age. This is when I noticed my mom was like, she believed me, but she was like terrified. She was like, I'm not signing that. I want no part of that. I don't even want to hear about it. I don't want you to talk about it. I'm not signing that.
Starting point is 00:22:07 I want nothing to do with that. So my story never got published. But that's when I realized she like, I don't know, she would bless the house with like blessed candles for me and like walk into every room because she feels like if she speaks about it, then it attracts it back or something. After that summer, I went back home to my dad's house in the graveyard. I felt okay.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I still had to go back to like do schoolwork and stuff. like I felt fine. I was still like kind of in the midst of figuring out what happened to me. I don't know, people always ask me about this. Do you feel like you were like specially like chosen for this? And I used to think like, oh my God, what did I do? What did I do to be like selected for something like this? But I honestly think like if they are here with us,
Starting point is 00:23:09 maybe this happens to a lot of people, but I just remembered. I'm not special. I was just naturally selected. Like, they were just passing through, and they were like, this will do. I don't think I'm special in any way to be chosen like that. I don't think it's a special situation anyway. It's terrifying. But I've come to peace with that, like, we just live in a crazy.
Starting point is 00:23:39 crazy world. This happens in the world and I'm not alone which is bizarre. It's like a bittersweet comfort and it's just weird. It's just very strange. It's strange. It's just a strange thing that happened to me and I'll never forget it. All right, we have to go to a break, but we'll be right back.
Starting point is 00:24:25 So, after speaking to Terran, I wanted to talk to her friend, Sianna, even if it just meant verifying some of the details of of the story. I'm really glad I did that because it turns out Siana remembered something that Taryn didn't mention and possibly didn't even know at the time. She also remembered a couple other details from the story, like where exactly they got rid of this object. That was something that Taryn wasn't exactly sure about. And I think these details and her perspective ended up adding so much to this entire saga. So this is Terran's friend Siana, who Taryn contacted out of the blue
Starting point is 00:25:06 that day in a state of panic asking her to come sleep over. Yeah, so my name's Siana. Taryn and I met in middle school. So we've been friends for like 14 years now. She's probably like the longest friend I've ever had, which is crazy. We were talking about it today actually and like can't believe that this was 10 years ago now that this happened to us. So yeah, I can't believe we've been friends for 14 years. I had never like put a number on it. So it was kind of weird to think about today, like, realizing how long we've known each other. I mean, we talk about this all the time to friends and acquaintances, especially when we're together because nobody really believes us. And there's like definitely such a stigma around telling such a, I want to say experience because it's not a story.
Starting point is 00:25:54 But yeah, she told me that she was going on this podcast. And when we were talking about it, I had just have like this huge job opportunity in New York. It was our first time actually getting together in like a couple months. So when she told me about it, we kind of like relived it a little bit. And there was stuff that she didn't remember at all that I was like, yeah, that happened. And it's crazy because she's the one who like physically experienced it. But yeah, really weird to look back on it all and kind of recap it as adults since we were only 15 years old, which is even crazier. She called me to sleep over. It was like a normal day for me. I was in school. She texted me. I mean, we hung out at that time, like consistently a lot. So it was nothing that I wasn't really used to.
Starting point is 00:26:41 And we both kind of have chaotic families, if you will. So I kind of didn't even like question it. I was just like, yeah, no problem. Like I'll come over. I'll sleep over. She didn't even preface it or anything like that. She just called me and was like, hey, well, you come sleep over tonight? And I kind of assumed at the time it was like a family issue. And we honestly didn't even really touch on it at all when I got there either. Just kind of kept it normal and hung out as normal. And then went to bed probably, I mean, we were, we were always up pretty late, but I would guess like 10 or 11. And from there, she was passed out. I remember falling asleep. I've always been kind of, I don't know if she prefaced this, but she lives in a graveyard. So,
Starting point is 00:27:28 I've always been a little scared of her house, to say the least. Definitely a little, like always kind of felt a little weird there to begin with. Normally I have like a really hard time falling asleep at her house, but for some reason I just like instantly passed out that night. And I don't know the time, but I woke up in the middle of the night. Her room is pretty dark in general. So it was pretty pitch black when I woke up and almost instantaneously it was just like a flash of light. I truly have never experienced something that bright. I was describing it when I was trying to write it down as like a flash bang. It was just like so incredibly bright. My uncle's in the military. So like I was talking to him about it and he was like yeah. Like sometimes they use like these bright flashes of light to like distract people. And that's kind of how it felt to me was like it truly was so bright that I was blinded
Starting point is 00:28:22 for like three seconds. Like it couldn't have been from a car. If you think about like the brink. brightest flashlight or like the brightest light that they put in your face at the dentist or like a doctor's office. Like it was nowhere near. It was like 20 times as bright. It truly like blinded me. And then it went dark again. You couldn't see anything in the room. There was no shadows, nothing. It was just like instantly white and then done. I at the time chalked it up to like a car crash on the street. The one window faces the street and then the other one faces the graveyard. So it's a
Starting point is 00:28:57 pretty busy intersection right there, so I didn't think anything of it. But I normally, like, would have gotten up to check or anything. But another thing that we were talking about, too, was there was no sirens. There was nothing. It was just a white flash of light. And something, like, in me just told me to go back to bed. And I just laid back down. Normally, I would have tossed and turned, freaked out, and, like, not been able to fall back asleep. And I just passed back out again. I didn't have any dreams, nothing. And then I remember waking up in the morning to, like, the normal room, everything was bright.
Starting point is 00:29:36 And I roll over and Taryn was on my left. So I rolled over to my left and there was like blood all over her pillow. And I immediately was like, oh, Taryn had like a nosebleed or something in the middle of the night. And I roll over, I get up and I'm like, are you okay? And she's already frantic laying in bed, crying. and she's like, I don't know what happened. My leg. And she just shows me.
Starting point is 00:30:03 And I was like, my instant thought when she showed me her leg was, it looked like a pretty bad spider bite. It was like, I guess, the size of like a quarter, maybe a little smaller. And it was just like red and inflamed. And she told me that she couldn't walk. That's how painful it was. And she tried to stand up. And I remember her, like, falling. Like, that it was truly so painful for her that she could not walk.
Starting point is 00:30:33 And I remember she walked over to the window sill. And I was like, okay, I went into, like, fight or flight mode and was like, we need to get your dad. And we need to, like, take you to the hospital. And I remember leaving the room for a minute, finding him, explaining that we think she got bit by a spider. And him not really caring and being like, I'm not taking charge of the hospital because she got bit by a spider. And I was like, no, like, you don't understand. Like, she can't walk. It's really bad we need to take her.
Starting point is 00:31:02 And he was just essentially like, no, I'm not taking her to the hospital. So I go back in the room. I'm like, he won't take you. What do we do? Like, I can call my mom. I can call my sister. I don't know what to do. She's freaking out.
Starting point is 00:31:17 And then at this point, she tells me and she's like, I need to tell you something. She was like, I need you to not judge me. I had this dream. or sleep paralysis. I can't remember exactly what she called it. But she said that she saw a gray alien standing over her face-to-face and that she could like describe it. It was so real that she could describe like the texture of its skin and the way the, like, the room felt.
Starting point is 00:31:52 And I didn't realize that it was in the room. so when it was happening. So she was saying that it was standing above her and she was actively in her bedroom. Sometimes I think about it. I'm like maybe that's what I saw like when I woke up. It freaked me out so bad and I just needed to like take a second. But immediately she was like she made me feel her leg and I did. I was very apprehensive because I don't, I'm like, I'm not squeamish by any means,
Starting point is 00:32:21 but it was not something that I wanted to do. But I did it anyway, and I felt it, and I did feel like a little lump in her leg. And it was very sensitive to the touch to the point where, like, when I did touch it, she was like, like, flinching and freaking out. And I was like, okay, so what do we do? Like, I don't, we have to take you to the hospital. That's the only thing that I can think of. And she immediately was like, I'm going to get it out.
Starting point is 00:32:53 one way or another. Originally she was like, I'm going to cut it out with a knife. And I was like, oh, God, like, I don't know about that one. And she, there was just so much pressure that she, like, barely touched her leg. And it, this is so gross, but it, like, popped out. And I remember there was blood, there was so much blood. And when it came out of her leg, I couldn't believe it. I thought it was going to be, like, like, some sort of insane, like, pimple or something.
Starting point is 00:33:23 and like it was just going to be like this weird blackhead type thing that was like in her leg. And we, I got her tissues and I'm like cleaning her leg up and she takes the tissue and she's kind of cleaning it off and and to my disbelief there was a silver metal ball in her leg. And I describe it to people as it was like the size of like a nail pawful. maybe a little bit bigger, like those little balls that they keep in nail polish to like shake it up, if you know what I'm talking about. Or like, I guess like a piercing ball almost. Like it was like something you would put on like a septum or something to like keep it from falling out. This tiny metal ball.
Starting point is 00:34:12 It was covered in this like strange goo almost and blood and we cleaned it off. There was just so much blood. That's all I really remember is like, specifically the blood, but I remember cleaning it off, and it was like there was, like, something a little heavier stuck on it. And we were, I think we were both just, like, in shock. And we, I don't even really understand how we moved on from that ever. So, and we, we cleaned it off, and we were sitting there, and we were kind of, I was like, well, what do you think, like, they could have been doing? Like, I don't understand what was, like, what happened? And,
Starting point is 00:34:51 like her whole experience was that they were just standing over her and she couldn't move. She was paralyzed. And I convinced myself that like they, we, that the ball was like a tracker of some sort. I was like, you don't want to keep it in your room or we freaked out and we threw it out the window. I don't know why we threw it out. We probably in retrospect shouldn't have thrown it out the window, but we were 15. And so that's what we did. But I think, like, in retrospect, we probably should have kept it.
Starting point is 00:35:26 It was definitely a little jarring to hear her say that she had such a severe experience. And then to see something, like, actually coming out of her leg that you couldn't explain. Like, when I tell people this story, they're like, what do you mean? That didn't happen. And I'm like, it did. We saw it. I watched it. It happened.
Starting point is 00:35:48 And that's where I'm like, how did we collectively move on from this? I don't understand because I, you know, I had to go back to school. And I don't think we talked to anybody about it or told anyone for a really long time. Every time I describe it, it sounds like I'm making it up, but it's not. We were there and watched it happen. And I think maybe that's why we're so bonded in a sense. I still can't make sense of it. but I do think that it's just inexplainable.
Starting point is 00:36:19 Like, I have no words for it. All right. Thank you to Terran and Sianna for sharing this story. Obviously, I wish they kept this metallic ball, whatever it was, or took photos of it or something. But at the same time, I do understand why a pair of 15-year-olds in a state of sheer panic might do something like immediately throw it out the window. and into a graveyard. I will say, though, if it was some kind of tracking device, I'm not sure how helpful that would be,
Starting point is 00:37:06 especially if you know you live in literally the only house in a graveyard. I feel like they would still be able to find you. I think it's interesting that Siana experienced this strange, blinding white light that night, and she apparently didn't know anything about what happened to Taryn at the time. According to Siana, Taryn invited her over without context and didn't end up explaining anything until the next morning. Siana assumed she was just having family problems. I'm so glad I ended up speaking to her.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Sometimes when people experience things like these, they rationalize them and try to move on as quickly as possible, sometimes shockingly quickly. But I know for these two, it was not so easy to move on, especially for Taryn. but I'm glad they were able to go through this together. I know Terran said that if Sianna wasn't there, she would have definitely assumed she was losing her mind. I want to thank Taryn and Siana once again for sharing the story. This has been episode 111.
