Welcome to Otherworld. I'm your host, Jack Wagner.
This is part two of a series called Them.
If you haven't heard the first part, you should go back and start there.
In the last episode, we met Solvi, a young college student in Norway,
who started experiencing some strange things in her dorm room one night.
Strange enough that the following day, she ended up having a sort of breakdown and freak out on the steps of her school.
She decided to call her mom in hopes of getting the kind of real.
assurance most of us would count on from a parent when we're scared. Instead of that, her mom said
she had been experiencing strange things too. She believes these things are being caused by multi-dimensional
beings. She's been in contact with these beings along with a mysterious girl who is Solvi's age
that her mom met at the gym, and also that she's been expecting Solvi to one day call her with
something like this because these beings told her it would happen. And one more thing, she was also told
by these beings that Solvi and this girl from the gym
needed to meet and work together on something.
So, yeah, not exactly what Solvi was probably hoping
to hear from her mom in that exact moment.
Solvi was too scared to go back to her dorm,
so she basically slept at her school
and then got on a train to visit her mom
deep in the countryside of Norway,
to hear more about the situation,
and also meet this mysterious girl whose name is Sarah.
That night, Solvi sees many things with her own eyes that she cannot explain.
And the night ends with the girls receiving a text that says,
Meet us from these alleged beings.
And then they are instructed to go down to a lake behind the house and enter the water.
We're going to pick up right where we left off in the last episode.
Solvi and Sarah had returned from the lake,
and we're trying to go to bed.
This is them, part two,
sisters,
and you're listening to Otherworld.
Hello?
Is this Bobby?
Yes, it is.
At its core, the science, you can't argue with.
I'm worried about all the science.
Up in the sky.
It's almost frustrating that it's happening.
I'm going to die.
I'm going to die.
If limbs were just like wrong.
Everybody moves back into the night,
even if it takes them in a minute.
You were in the middle of telling the story about that night.
I think you had.
just gotten back home and your mom was upset and she sent the text. Yes. Yeah. We had, yeah, so we had
gotten back home to the house after having gone down to the water and my mom was upset and
kind of worried and but then she realized we were fine and nothing bad had really happened.
We were just really frightened. And so we just, just, just, just.
changed out of our wet clothes into dry ones.
And then my mom went back to bed and we sort of tried to go to bed for the second time that night.
And me and Sarah slept in the same room.
She, I was sleeping on this mattress next to the bed she was sleeping on.
So we had both gotten into bed and then we had closed the bedroom door.
and then suddenly this bracelet that belonged to my mom comes flying through the door and it lands on
Sarah's bed by her feet and this bracelet was I'm pretty sure it belonged to my mom and it had
these angel charms on it I guess we realized that the night wasn't over yet this was around 2 a.m.
or something, I think.
We kind of come to terms with the fact that we're not going to get to go to sleep anytime soon.
And a few moments after this crystal that also belongs to me
and that also wasn't in that house,
but in my apartment also falls down from the ceiling in the same way.
Like it just appears out of nowhere.
And it falls down and lands on the floor like a few meters in front of us.
And this crystal is very significant and meaningful to me, which is something I can explain later.
But yeah, that crystal was also not physically in that house.
It was in my apartment in Oslo, which is half an hour away or one and a half hour away by car,
suddenly just appears in my mom's house and falls down from the ceiling and lands right in front of me.
So I just pick it up and I assume that this crystal, that is important that I hold on to it.
So that's what I do.
We heard something outside in the hallway, outside the bedroom.
So we opened the bedroom door to look.
We saw that this ring had sort of shut out of the bathroom and then hit either our door or like the wall outside.
of the bedroom. So we go into the bathroom and every single drawer and cupboard is opened.
And what were you guys talking about kind of like during all this, you and this girl Sarah,
like what were the discussions like as all this are happening? Like what were you guys?
Yeah, I can't really remember necessarily exactly what we were talking about. I think we were
just in general talking about what we were experiencing.
and how it was completely unbelievable that we didn't really know if we fully believed in it
ourselves even though we were experiencing it.
And I mean, just going through all the stuff we went through that first night when we went
down to the water, like I said, I've never been more scared in my entire life.
And I think she feels the same and just having experience such an extreme, something so extreme together,
it kind of connects you in a way.
I think at least for me, that was the first time I experienced this whole thing with every single cupboard and door and drawer being opened.
But I think this had happened already a couple of times in Sarah's apartment.
also at one point this jewelry rack that my mom had,
this metal structure that's about this tall, like 30 centimeters tall,
and it's the head of a woman and this kind of metal spikes that you hang your jewelry on.
Yeah, anyway, that thing also came flying out of the bathroom and landed in the hallway.
But yeah, I think that was the last thing that happened.
that night. So eventually we did get to go to sleep maybe around 3 a.m.
And we were really exhausted. So I'm pretty sure we just slept through the night. And then
I just remember waking up the next morning, me and Sarah were, like I said, the mattress
I was sleeping on was next to the bed she was sleeping on. So
When we woke up, we were lying facing each other.
And I just remember, again, similar to the trans-like state I was in.
That time in my apartment when I heard the knocking,
it's like we were both in this state where we were waking up and falling asleep again over and over.
and every time I opened my eyes, she opened her eyes at the same time.
So we were like looking into each other's eyes at the same time and then closing them again
at the same time.
And that went on for, I don't know, maybe like 15 minutes or something before we woke up.
I went back to Sarah's apartment.
I was too scared to be alone and she was too.
and my mom was leaving.
She travels a lot for work.
So she had to go to Sweden, I think, that night after we went down to the water and we were both cold.
And I didn't have any more clothes with me than the clothes I was wearing.
So my mom let me borrow one of her cardigans.
When we get to Sarah's apartment, my mom's.
cardigan was just like dangling from this lamp in her ceiling, which had also happened to her
before with the same jacket. And I guess that was their way of trying to comfort us. But I guess it
ended up scaring us more than comforting us. Wait, so am I getting this right? You're,
the cardigan you were wearing the night before that you barred from your mom, you left it
at your mom's house, and then you go to Sarah's house, and when you open her apartment door,
it's hanging from a light fixture on the ceiling. Is that right? Yeah. And is this place far enough
away that it would be impossible for somebody to get there before you and put the cardigan there? Is that
is that the case? Yes. What did your mom say about that?
Yeah, I think I know that she has experienced them.
Like, for example, at one point her spare keys to her car, all of a sudden showed up in Sarah's apartment.
And they weren't there.
And also this baby picture of Sarah that was in Sarah's apartment was suddenly in my mom's purse,
like in a different city or, yeah.
So these things would happen that stuff would disappear and show up somewhere else.
And sometimes the object that had disappeared to show up somewhere else would just sort of be laying there or just be there.
And other times it would like it happened with the Oracle Cards and my crystal.
It would like come flying through a wall or fall down.
from the ceiling or yeah there's been a lot of strange incidents similar to that
oh i'm seeing a picture of my i think there's the cardigan that you're talking about hanging from
the lamp yeah i'm sorry i'm like speechless looking at these things these pictures are
insane yeah there's also wait i'm like getting ahead of myself but like yeah yeah is this
Sarah with like dark hair and darker skin.
Yeah.
This is so weird. You guys
you guys kind of look alike.
She's a different race than you, but you guys look
I don't know how to explain it. You guys look alike.
Yeah.
This is kind of blowing my mind. We need to take this one step at a time.
This is...
Yeah, I know. It's a lot.
I ended up feeling very close to her.
very quickly, basically.
And I could think of her and start crying because I was just overwhelmed with how much
I cared about her.
Like it was this, yeah, the connection between us just grew really strong, really fast.
I think after it happened, I told two friends.
But apart from those two people, nobody else.
else knew about this whole story except from me and Sarah and my mom and my sister who had all been
experiencing things together. I think we tried to do normal stuff, like go for a walk or like
watch a movie or just do something that would distract us because after that first night when we
went down to the water, I was really, really scared.
constantly, extremely scared, which is really exhausting.
And I had a lot of conflicting feelings about whether this was, these beings were someone we could
trust or if they were potentially going to harm us.
It was all just very overwhelming and it felt like something was coming in and just completely
taking over my entire life.
That night when we went down to the water,
like maybe a week after,
I was back at my mom's house
and I just remember breaking down
and crying in this way that I've never cried before.
I was like screaming while I was crying.
It was like it felt like I was in intense grief.
And I think I just felt like I,
my life would never be the same and I felt like I didn't know if I would have a social life ever again
or like a normal social life because I didn't know if this was something that was going to
be a huge part of my everyday life and that it just basically wasn't anything I could share
with people because nobody would believe me. Even the guy I was dating at the time I didn't
tell anything to because I just I was just so scared of people thinking I had lost my mind
being around people who didn't know about this stuff or who couldn't relate to it felt strange
like I struggled with like being present in social like going to a party was so absurd
just like having normal conversations with people was
was really difficult for a while.
Yeah, there was, I kind of lost my trail of where I am in the story, but that whole entire
day we were just so terrified that we didn't stay in Sarah's apartment.
We just went for this extremely long walk.
And we just walked and walked and walked.
And I remember even we walked until like.
2 a.m. like in the middle of the night before we went back and then we went to sleep and nothing
more happened but we were really scared and after that night I'm pretty sure I went back to
Oslo to my apartment but I would just stay at friends houses or I would stay with the guy I was
dating at the time I would just avoid being at home because I was I was just scared if something
would happen when I was alone and I wasn't sure if I would be able to handle anything
happening while I was alone. So I just tried to avoid as best as I could to be alone.
And then eventually, I think two weeks after that night when me and Sarah went down to the
water for the first time, my sister kind of becomes a part of it as well.
She also hears the knocking and the wall in her apartment.
I'm not completely sure how she heard it or how she experienced it,
but I'm sure she would also be willing to talk to you if you want to ask her more about that.
What did she think of this when you guys explain this to her?
I think she was definitely kind of skeptical,
and she is maybe a bit more skeptical by nature, if that makes sense.
I think for her, it just felt like she really wanted proof, I guess, that they were, that they had good intentions.
So she didn't like just automatically trust them right away, which I didn't either, but I think I was just thrown into it so intensely, so quickly that I didn't really have time to really think about what was happening.
and with her she had already been told a whole yeah anyway she was just in general maybe a bit more
protective also about me and sarah in it so when your sister got brought into this how did you
explain all of this to her what did you guys say well my mom was the person who had
the first talk with her. So she was the one who told her everything.
How do you think she explained it? Like what? And I asked that mostly to find out like,
what did you guys think was happening to you at the time? Like what do you even describe this
thing as? Yeah. That's, I don't know. I think back then I was really confused and still now
I'm really confused.
I know what they have told us.
They have told us that they are essentially multidimensional beings.
They exist on a higher vibration than we do.
And that's why we can't see them.
So when they make an object move, for example,
they have to go down, lower their freedom.
and go down in frequency to be able to do that.
And they also have to go down in frequency to be able to send the text messages.
We also have to raise our frequencies to meet them.
So it's like we have to meet each other halfway.
I know this sounds really, really strange and I'm not sure if I even know how to grasp this.
But this is what they've told us.
Yes, but at the time, I just think it was all such a shock.
Yeah, I don't really know what I thought about it.
I just remember I was extremely confused and really scared but also really excited
and couldn't believe what I was experiencing.
And it was just a lot of emotions at the same time.
And I think that's also why, like still until this day when it's almost nine years ago,
I, there's still just like a handful of people that I've told.
It's such a long story and it's such a strange and unbelievable story that it's just very difficult
to find a good way of telling it basically.
It's not just something you just bring up during,
lunch one day, you know? It's like, yeah, just really confusing, I guess.
Yeah, so two weeks after me and Sarah went down to the water, my sister becomes the part of it,
sort of, my mom tells her everything. And we all go to visit my mom. Wow. I'm excited to talk to you.
I've spoken to your family quite a bit.
I know.
So I, yeah.
Go ahead.
What were you going to say?
Oh, yeah.
No, I'm like almost nervous now.
I mean, what do you think about all of this?
The everything, the podcast.
Everything.
Like, yeah.
I never talk about it.
I don't think that I've told anyone strange.
Because I can like, I remember it, but it's like,
It's like it's happened.
Like it happened in a dream.
Well, can you introduce yourself real quick?
And then we'll keep going.
Yeah.
I'm Kara.
I'm Solai sister.
I'm her older sister by three years.
I'm from Drummond.
I'm an artist.
I do, like, painting and performance art.
What was going on in your life when you first got wind of this?
Like that something was going on?
Um, I was, um, I was in, uh, art school. I moved to Bergen, which is like eight hours away from where I grew up. So I, I was mostly just like in, at school or at home or in the bar with my friends. Um, yeah, you're in college.
Yeah, yeah. And then I think with my mom, um, I didn't, I didn't notice that anything was different.
until like one of the weekends that I would be visiting her house.
And that's where she like broke the news to me.
I remember it as like me getting in the car,
her chatting very superficially for like a few minutes
and then immediately going very seriously and going,
I've had first contact in the third degree or whatever.
It was such a...
She used like such a serious term.
And she was like dead serious when she told me.
It's like looking straight ahead at the road.
And I just remember thinking like, oh my gosh, she's lost her mind.
My mom is crazy.
When did you learn the extent of it, you know?
gradually during that trip.
So my mom starts talking about this girl, Sarah, from her gym.
They work together.
Apparently they've had this strange paranormal experiences.
And there's stuff with the phone.
And apparently Solvai has already met Sarah.
And this has been going on for, I think,
six months already, maybe longer.
I can't remember at this point.
Because all I remember is being fucking weirded out and kind of thinking,
is this my life now?
Is my mom going to be like one of those crazy people on YouTube?
doing crop circles videos.
She tells me that they've gotten,
how do I say this?
Like that Sarah has become,
has taken kind of like,
she's like part of our family now.
Kind of.
I think I just thought,
okay, she's finally lost her mind.
I was just so overwhelmed.
I
there is
I don't know
even know how to explain
it's just like there is a feeling
you get when
when you talk to someone
who's like
who's clearly like not right in their mind
and you can tell
that they believe what they're saying
I just felt like
that was what was happening
it was really hard for me to
to grasp
but then
we pick up
Sarah and Solma
I think we picked them up together
it's just like starting to dawn
on me that this is real
this person
is real
like this is not a fabrication
or like a fantasy world
that my mom has
yeah like they believe it too is what you're saying
yeah yes
and now I'm in it
and I'm in it
and I think that my first reaction is just like, oh, I don't want to do that.
I thought we were going to get dinner or something, maybe.
Yes, I thought we were going to have dinner.
Yeah, maybe drink some wine, like listen to some music.
It's like I'm start, like, in the car, I'm just realizing that I am now, like, on my way to this, like, huge thing that I am now supposed to be a part of.
and I think I'm just like feeling like oh this is not what I wanted to do
I heard that there were some strange things happening to you before
that made them think it's time to fill you in what were those
there was like noises on the phone I would I would call my mom a lot at that time
because of that very difficult relationship
I called my mom a lot for advice and for support.
And there would be like really strange noises on my end of the phone.
There was just like this either strange noises.
And I think once like she couldn't hear me at all,
she could only hear like another voice.
Like a strange kind of whispery kind of voice.
that said something like see me or something.
And it is, it is strange.
And after a while, like, before this thing with my mom,
like before I've learned about the thing with my mom,
I would hear, I would start to hear knocking.
And it would just like somebody would knock on my door or in the wall.
just like when somebody wants to come in.
And would you go check?
No, I think, because it usually happened at night.
I was pretty scared of the dark at that time.
So I think I was also just like scared that something was actually knocking.
And I didn't want to learn what that was.
Just normal, like, just that there was nobody knocking.
There was also ticking.
I think that that's the strangest sound.
I would hear knocking and then after a while,
I also heard it.
I also heard ticking like from a clock,
but I didn't have a clock in my room.
And it would just like come and go.
But there was this one,
the most like significant, strange experience I had.
was I had my friends over in my apartment in Bergen.
And we were just having drinks.
We were smoking at the time.
So we were like having the balcony door open so that we could smoke cigarettes while we were drinking.
Suddenly this like jewelry box that my sister got me from her class trip to I think Poland.
suddenly this jewelry box just like flies across the room.
Nobody is sitting near it.
We're only three people in the room.
We all saw it and we all just collectively go,
that must have been the wind.
We don't know what to make of what we just saw.
Because it didn't like knock off the shelf
and fall onto the floor.
It like flew across the room
as if somebody had like thrown it with all the,
force. Could it have been the wind? No. Is it heavy? Yes, a little bit, a little bit. But also the wind,
it was sitting on the shelf close to the wall and it flew a different direction than the wind would have
blew. It wouldn't have made sense for either the direction of the wind or the positioning of that
shelf for that jewelry box to fly in that way.
And you saw this with your own eyes.
Yes, we all did.
All three of us did.
And you just said, it must have been the wind.
No, we just went completely quiet.
And we were like, what the fuck?
Then we concluded that it must have been the wind.
As a way to move on.
Yes, you kind of have to.
You kind of have to.
So I think my mom brought me in because she,
heard about the jewelry box incident, I think in particular.
I remember we were having dinner and we were sitting all of us, including my old step dad,
they're not together anymore. We were all sitting around the table, just like laughing,
having a good time.
And I think I warmed up to Sada very quickly.
It's so hard to say what I was expecting,
because I had no idea what to even make of it before I met her.
She's kind of disarming, in a way.
She has this, like, very, very gentle face and a very gentle energy around her, I think.
And she was so young.
She was, like, 20 or something.
it was really easy to just like accept her
especially the bond that she had formed
she had like already formed with sollwe
because they were they were already getting
pretty close
and sulva is like my closest person in the world
so if she if she's if she likes someone
then I'll probably like them
but yeah no she's she's funny and she's like
she's sweet
it was easy also to like accept
the things that she told me.
They told me this story that they,
previously, like a month ago or something,
Solvay had been there with Sarah,
and they had been, like, directed by phone,
by these, like, I guess aliens
that were talking to my mom and to Sarah.
They were told to, like, go down to the water.
they had been told that it was very important that I also did that, like, ritual.
Oh, it was hard. It was hard to know what to think of it.
It's just like, you know, obviously I don't want to think that my mom is crazy and lying.
And I also don't think that my sister is crazy and lying.
So when my, I think for me, a lot of the, like, trust happens when my sister is confirming it.
But it's, I still think it's, like, really hard to believe.
I guess I'm, like, half expecting that nothing is going to happen.
I think the first strange thing that happens is I think someone has written on the windows.
We have, like, sat there talking and someone points to the windows, and someone has, like,
painted hearts into the condensation.
We, after a while, we move into the living room.
At this point, it's still all pretty normal.
We're just like having a good time.
We're just like talking about regular stuff.
We're listening to music.
We're having drinks.
We're sitting at this like sofa section in the, I guess, the dining room.
either Solvay or Sara
goes to the hallway
to go to the bathroom
and when they go out there
they see that
there's a bunch of flowers
that's been laid out
in a straight line on the floor.
Either Sulweilweil or Sarah
I can't remember which one.
Ask if anybody has done this
and they all say that they haven't.
And then
the strange
things that start happening
they kind of start increasing
and they become stranger.
There's these, these, like, crystals
that, like, just fly off the shelf of the fireplace.
There's a shelf on top of the fireplace.
My mom has, like, a bunch of crystals and, like, rocks on there.
And things just, like, starts falling off.
All of this, I saw myself.
Like, this happened.
happened in front of my face. I saw it with my own eyes. My mom has like a bunch of rocks and crystals
and they kind of just start flying. The flowers, I mean, I think whoever saw it also, they were like
so kind of excited about it and gleeful about it. And at this point I am still thinking,
well, somebody could have just done that. Like somebody could have just like snuck out and
laid the flowers like that for someone to find them,
somebody could have very easily already made the hearts on the windows
and then the condensation appears and they're just there.
I'm also thinking that maybe this is something that everybody just like wants to believe in.
Maybe this is a very exciting thing.
Everybody wants to believe it is true.
I'm trying to be supportive, but I'm still thinking that this could be
almost like a collective delusion almost
or someone is just pranking all of us
but then the
crystal starts flying off the shelf
and
I saw them fly off the shelves
and there's like nothing
there were nobody touching them
I didn't
just kind of getting freaked out
And getting freaked out
and it is hard
It is still a little bit hard
It's hard to accept
It's like when
I don't know
It's like it's like watching a horror movie
And you kind of have to tell yourself
That like what you're seeing is makeup
And special effect
Because my brain just starts going through
Like how
What are scenarios where this is not real
kind of could there be an earthquake?
Why is this happening?
And then there is quite a bit of space
from the seating area
like where we are sitting to the dining room table.
Nobody are close to the dining room table
but the chairs are starting to slam to the floor.
I think one chair goes
and then another chair goes.
there are chairs going to the floor and it's getting very intense.
I think at this point, Sara's phone is charging on a separate table.
She's visibly not on her phone, and her phone starts calling my mom.
So we can see...
we can all see that it's Sarah's phone calling
we can also see that
there's nobody touching it
and my mom puts the phone on speaker
and it starts
it starts making this like weird noises
it's almost like
sonar noises
or like
dolphins, it's strange.
They're strange and they start
building. They almost sound
organic in a way.
They don't sound like they come from a machine
and they don't sound like they come from
an animal or a human.
They would like build and they got really, really loud
and then my mom would say stop
and it got quiet.
After a while,
not during this night,
but later,
this happened many times.
And it did get
like pretty obvious after a while
that it was like
a conversation happening.
Like they,
the strange noises did also respond
to what we were saying.
We would get texts
from Sarah's phone,
with responses to the things that we were just saying,
we would just talk to the phone and we would get a text response.
But I remember we also had the experiences where we would just talk to them
and the noise would just like try to communicate back to us.
I mean, I never heard any words.
It sounded like someone was trying to like communicate.
communicate, kind of, I guess, like in a different language or a different frequency.
Sarah's phone is still charging.
She's still not at her phone.
I think at this point we are like all kind of huddled around my mom's phone.
And I can't remember what the text said, but I remember seeing it pop on up on screen.
I honestly at this point
I can't remember what I'm feeling
I think at this point I'm like so overwhelmed
with everything that's happening
fully just like okay
so I am in the
I live in a strange
horror movie now
where like
things I can't see are
texting me
It starts with my mom
and then after a little while it starts texting my phone
and that's when we start to get like very direct instructions
on what we are supposed to do.
It says something like Kara Solvei Sarah,
Kara Solvai Sara or something.
The texts are weird.
they're very obviously written by someone
who's Norwegian is not their first language
and there's very rarely punctuation
but there's a lot of emojis
there's a lot of emojis
but a lot of the punctuation
is usually instead of like a comma
or a normal punctuation
it would be just like yes
or yes yes yes
So I think it starts saying like you three go down to the water, yes, yes.
Something about how we are sisters, just like our names a bunch of times again.
The texts, like I've seen them, but I don't speak Norwegian.
And I could use Google Translate to like translate.
these, but still, I have no context as an English speaker to know what writing style it is.
Like, does this seem human? Like, what does it seem like?
It's very hard. I can say, I can say that it's very hard to, like, replicate the text or, like,
trying to remember the text without starting to sound like Yoda from Star Wars.
I think that that's, like, kind of the closest thing is that the grammar is,
so off.
It's almost like the texts are like disconnected almost to like what they're saying.
Like I mean clearly like the whoever is like sending the text to me telling me that I am supposed
to like go with this girl that I just met down down to the woods and to the water and like go
into the water,
the person sending me this
is not understanding that this is a scary thing
for a person to do.
And like kind of an unreasonable thing
to ask a person.
It's almost like
they almost like sound excited.
It's something with the emoji use
and the yes, yes, yes, yes.
I guess it's like if a dog could text.
Do you feel me?
Like, how you imagine, like, your dog talking?
That's kind of what that sounds like.
We go on walk, yes.
Exactly.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
All right, we have to take a break for some ads,
but we'll be right back with the rest of the story.
Well, I'm already been told that I'm supposed to go down to the water.
I think even before we are arriving at the house.
I mean in the car
like Solvai and Sara
talking about like how they went down to the water
the last time and it was really scary
and they're like they know that they have to do that
with me this time and they're like not looking forward to it
so I already know that this is going to happen
I guess
hoping that it won't
but I already know about this
So I get a text
that I'm supposed to go down to the water
with Sarah and Sulvae.
And my mom asks if she can come with
and she's told that she's not allowed to.
This is something that we have to do on our own.
They tell her.
They tell her, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, the text say that she's not allowed to go with us.
It says like only
Solvain,
Kara, Sarah.
Yes, yes, yes.
Important that they have this experience alone or something.
Yes, yes, yes.
Like I said at this point, it's in October.
It's pretty cold.
Norway gets pretty cold during late autumn.
And we know that we're supposed to go out in the water.
The water gets really cold.
We try to like prepare.
So we put on our winter coat.
and like rain boots
we take a flashlight
because it's like pitch dark
this is in the
Norwegian countryside
there's like nothing
between us
and the Little Woods area
it's just like a long like
field
and many many meters of it
so we have to walk a long
a long way there
so we're just like
in the pitch dark
and we go into the woods
we don't
I think this is like the part
that we really really don't want to do
because it is
like I said it is pitch black
we only have a
very tiny
flashlight
I'm still the older sister
so I'm in the middle
and I'm
holding both their hands
and we all kind of
stop
and I'm
That's when something, like, pokes my back.
And just, like, pushes us forward.
It would not have been possible for Solvoy and her hands that were closest to have done it.
I was holding both her hands that were closest to me.
I could see that none of them were, like, contorting backwards.
And it also didn't feel like a human finger.
or like a human hand felt like, like a, I don't know,
like a finely polished walking stick or something.
It was strange.
Like, it was just like a blunt object that like poked my back.
So obviously we like screamed a bunch.
We just have to keep walking.
So we go to the water,
but we go into the water.
I'm holding Sarah's hand
I think I'm holding
Sarah's hand in my right hand
and whoever
holds the flashlight
can't remember if this is
Sarah or Solvai
one of them holds the flashlight and suddenly
the flashlight just like flies out of her hand
and we are kind of just like
hold
out in the water
it's all
Almost it feels like something, it feels like there's something physically pulling us through
Sara's hand deeper into the water.
And at some point I have to say stop, we can't go any further because we will, we will,
we will fall around.
We have water up to our thighs at this point.
The water is very cold and our jackets, our coats are in the water and are getting soaked.
All the rain boots are doing absolutely nothing because now they are also filled with water.
And we are just standing there in the darkness.
I can only hear Sarah and Solvai in the water.
and the sky was really, really, really clear.
And I don't think that I ever saw that many stars before.
It felt like you could see the depth of the sky.
And we started seeing this bunch of shooting stars.
And these shooting stars that like went in a circle.
But there's also just like a very clear arrow of stars pointing to my mom's house.
So we're just like, we're standing there and we're kind of just like taking the sky in.
I mean, it's just like an absurd situation to be standing in the water.
But at this point, I've like accepted what is going on.
I'm at least starting to trust that whatever is like asking us to do the things doesn't really want to hurt us.
And I remember this like a strange feeling of like this is going to sound really weird, like caressing our feet.
It was like stroking the top of our feet.
It was like, calm us down.
And it felt like a...
weird tentacle or something.
I had the, I guess, like, the same, like, density as whatever, like, poked my back.
Then I don't really remember this, but I know it happened,
because it's in this recording that Solvai showed me,
where Solvai goes,
the water is alive.
I can feel that the water is alive.
Oh, they're standing now.
Oh, they live, so.
Yeah.
And then, like, Sarah's hand,
which is, who's holding my hand,
like, starts going really fast back and forth
between me and her.
Well, we are all,
we are all holding hands,
like, with our, so I guess we are kind of,
like, making joint fist,
almost.
I guess our hands go like through to like armpit or like chest height.
And our hands just got very fast from like chest to chest.
We're standing next to each other like shoulder to shoulder.
Sara's hand is going really fast between us.
It's like from her heart to mine.
It's just like going very rapidly back and forth.
It's not hurting or anything.
it's just like a strange sensation.
I don't know how to explain it,
but it all felt like we didn't have control over arms.
Same feeling when we were like pulling us into the water.
You can kind of feel where the strength of one's movement comes from, you know?
It didn't feel like she was like pushing me.
It felt like something was pulling on her.
or like pulling on our hand.
And after a while, I have no idea for how long,
like a fairly long time, like 40 minutes or something.
After a while, we ask if we can go back.
I think there's just like nothing pulling at us anymore.
So we start going back to the house.
So we go back up from.
the water, just like cold, soaking wet.
Our coats are so heavy.
And we go through the woods.
We see an arrow made of stars preening towards the house.
But it's very clear.
It's a very clear arrow.
And we look through the windows of the house.
and there's just like a large figure standing in the window looking at us.
And we can see through the window that the chandelier is just like going insane,
just like spinning around in there.
Though I'm laughing.
Yeah, no, I'm laughing because it was really, really scary.
It was really scary.
We just had a really intense experience in the woods and in the water.
And now we were trying to go back home to safety.
And there's like weird-ass shit going on in the living room.
What did the figure look like?
Like a really, really, really large person.
It looked really large.
It had really broad shoulders.
It looked really tall.
Obviously, at first we think it's our mom
And I think we text her and it's not
And it's really scary
Like we're talking to our mom and she's comforting us
And we're also so cold
But when we get to the house
Everything like calms down
And I don't think that anything
More like strange happens that night
At this point it's like 4 a.m.
Like we all go to bed and we,
me, Sarah and Solvai,
we like try to like debrief
and kind of understand
what we just experienced.
I think my mom had like blankets and stuff ready for us
because we were so cold.
And then the day after
I can't remember what happened.
think we just had like a normal day.
Yeah, I guess I went into the weekend feeling very skeptical and suspicious and went out feeling,
I guess, ironically enough, feeling very alien, feeling like, feeling like I felt more distance
from me and the people around me.
I remember thinking a lot about like, how do I.
Tell people that I know about this, like, how do I admit that this happened to me and, like, have them still take me seriously?
Like, I was kind of entering it, like, scared of one thing and leaving it scared of different things.
I think it scared me that, like, something like that would be, like, a reoccurring experience in my life, but also just, like, this, the idea of being,
a person who had a life that was so, like, influence by that kind of stuff.
And I just, like, I didn't sign up to be, like, the, like, message bearer for some
weird-ass aliens.
I get that.
Not the life that I envisioned for myself.
I understand.
Yeah.
I bet you do.
So let me ask you this, because you.
are more on the outside of this than anyone, if you had suspicions or doubts about your mom or
Solvi or any of this, would you have taken this opportunity to voice those to me? Or would you even
would you have talked to me if you were suspicious about anything? Oh, no. If I didn't,
if I thought she was like making it up and believing her own lies, then
I wouldn't have gone on and talked to you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, no, no, no.
I would have talked to her and be like, please don't do this.
So there's obviously a lot more to this story that I'm going to get into, but with all
of that being said, like, do you believe this stuff?
Like, if it really came down to it, like, do you believe all this?
Yeah.
Yes, I guess.
I guess I do.
I mean, I believe that it happened.
I trust that I saw what I saw
and that I heard what I heard.
And there's also, we have so much footage of it.
It's kind of strange.
And like watching, I haven't watched a ton of it back,
like not the amount.
But I've watched some of it and I've like listened to some of the recordings and they're strange.
Yeah, I've seen it.
I mean, the footage of the calls and stuff, it's like, it's not something that a human couldn't have done to trick you guys.
But I guess like, I guess like what I keep coming back to, because my thoughts go all over the place, what I keep coming back to is like, like for what purpose?
Like, no, I know.
If this, if this turned into like, you guys need to leave the water and go put money in a bank account or leave some cash in a park or like, you know, something like that, then I would think, okay, this is like some elaborate scam that I don't quite understand.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Or just, you know, I also don't think that either my mom or Sarah would be very good liable.
the mask would have cracked like a long time ago.
Eight years is a long time.
Yes.
It's a pretty, it's a pretty long con.
To lead to absolutely, for what, you know, make some girls go in the water?
Yeah.
Three times?
Yes.
And hang out?
Yeah, and hang out.
Eight years did not do much.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
So I guess I could see
It'd be very easy for a person that's not very invested in this to just
Give up
Take the Occam's razor approach like oh yeah, it's probably fake in a way I don't understand
But for me who's more invested and have gotten to know you in Solvi
Okay, if it's fake how and why and I can't answer that
The why I think is so
Would be so big
Why would someone
it's just
it's too bizarre
Yeah
And also like way scarier
For someone to like monitor us for eight years
Just to like
I don't know
Send some cryptic texts now and then
That's that scary
The phone calls I think
The phone calls and the texts
Like that I
I'm sure if you could
like if somebody
tried to convince me that that was all fake now
that's certainly more easy to believe
than that being like something
paranormal
but then
the objects moving
and stuff
is harder
for me to explain in a way
I think
my life would be a lot easier
if this was not real
like it would be it would be a lot easier to accept
and it would be a lot easier to move on and never think about it again
so it's this it's the thing where like we also don't gain anything
from this story being true
or like I mean we wouldn't gain anything from lying about it
like in most part of the world like the part of the world that's like not like a
of yoga moms with a bunch of crystals.
It's not cool to talk to aliens.
No, no, it's not.
I mean, that's the funniest part.
Sometimes I'll see a comment on our episodes where people are like,
oh, they just want attention.
It's like, for what?
Why?
What attention?
People thinking you're fucking crazy?
Yes, exactly.
Exactly.
It doesn't sound like a very good deal to me.
No.
You know?
It's also like the...
No, there's just, it's, there's so much,
I've been texting with Sunwaya a lot because it's like,
TikTok girl has been like going viral in the bad way
because she like makes us really embarrassing music about how she like
healed her kidney infection and she's been like talking to the aliens.
and like the aliens have been like telling her her secrets
and just told students
every time I think about like coming out of like the spiritual closet
like something like this pops up in my feet
and I'm just like shoved back in.
Yeah.
So I don't want to be associated with that.
I understand.
There's not a lot to be gained.
No.
And also if you have a kidney infection,
you should go to your doctor.
That's true
Yes
Thank you
And look
There are those people
And if I thought
If it seemed like you and Solvi
Were that type of person
I would not have been
Spending a year and a half
Talking to an entire family from Norway
No
I know
No I know
No we're like
So that's kind of what
keeps me in a little bit.
Yeah.
So there's obviously a lot more to this story that I need to hear, but where does all of this
fit into your life?
Like, what do you think of all of this now?
Is this, are you done with it?
I feel like, I feel like it's something that I'm probably going to keep figuring out.
Or like, I don't know, I kind of just, I have a feeling.
that it's something that it's going to return in my life, I think.
I think that I've had a lot less problems with doubt than Solvay has.
I think Sulvae struggled a lot more with accepting that it happened than I did.
But Solvai also, I think, has had some really intense paranormal experiences.
and I think maybe the gravity of that being,
those experiences being real,
maybe impact her a little bit more
than like this experience impacts me.
Like collectively as like a family,
like this lasted for, I don't know, like six or eight years
for my mom.
and for Sada, like this was like an all-consuming thing for that entire, entire duration.
It's like a really long time.
I don't know, like, how much they told you about, like, what it is that they want and, like,
their agenda.
Just a little bit so far.
I don't, I can't.
I don't understand.
I don't understand what those things mean.
Yeah, maybe just like as a protective measure for myself, I kind of just like had to like shut down any interest in like what is what is it that they want.
Okay. So God, I'm already seven hours into your interview. That's crazy.
Seven hours recorded.
I was going to ask you like what are the chapters of this? Like what's the outline of the full.
story of what you went through.
And I'm trying to even figure out how far we are into it.
We have definitely up to when your sister comes in.
And then what kind of happens after that?
A lot of strange things would start happening when the four of us were together.
We kept experiencing the phone calls where they would call all three of us.
Of course, the texting, the text messages, being asked to take pictures of each other
together, like all three of us together, and then the images being changed when we looked at them
afterwards.
But they've said that they're here to help, they want to help, for us to adjust to this
shift that they say is coming, which I'm not sure if I even understand what that is,
but that the veal between dimensions basically is going to become thinner
and that they want to help us adjust to that shift.
And they told us that we would get tasks in the future,
but they didn't say what.
They never specified what those tasks would be,
and that's also something that's kind of scared me,
like, is it something I'm going to have control over,
or is it just going to be sort of thrown at me?
and I just have to handle it.
Or I don't know, it's like, yeah,
they haven't explicitly said what those tasks will be.
That's...
The coffee freaks me out too.
Yeah, because then it's like,
who are we working for?
You know, it's like, what is this?
I would like to know what they mean that I'm supposed to do
and like the whole experiencing this absurd.
things like objects falling down from the ceiling or appearing out of nowhere or receiving
strange phone calls like that stuff is really really strange but it's like you experience it
and then I guess you just have to move on but then being told that you're supposed to play
some type of role in something or that you're supposed to have stuff you're supposed to do
like it's yeah I don't know what to think about that
And it's also just most difficult to kind of fully believe in or wrap my head around.
All right. That brings us to the end of this part.
As I listened to Solvi and then her sister, Kara,
explain these experiences to me.
I had hundreds of questions popping into my head.
It took so much self-control not to interrupt her every two seconds.
with an unrelated question.
And every time I did ask a question,
the answer would often create even more questions.
This story is not over at all,
but in the next episode,
we'll be getting into some of those questions,
the answers,
and generally going deeper into
what exactly was going on
between these women and these supposed beings.
Also, we'll be talking about
what exactly they think they are,
and what they wanted.
