Alpine News Network is here live with one of our superheroes.
I don't want to say I'm a big deal, but I am a superhero.
I love helping people consolidate their debts, and that's what I did for the Smiths.
I took their bills and ZOOM!
Wabam!
Zap!
Turned them into one low monthly payment.
No, this sounds not necessary, but it's part of the fun.

Hour 2 Overdrive continues.
Brought to you by FanDuel.
Bringing you everything from the opening line of the final score.
Brian Hayes, Frankie Corrado.
Al's brother coming up here momentarily.
And look who's in here, Luke Wilson.
Pro-athlete. Pro-athlete.
How we doing?
I'm feeling pretty good.
I'm feeling pretty good.
You feeling alright?
Feeling pretty good.
Did you know, I don't know if you're aware of this, I mentioned it last hour, that Al's brother,
there was a coup on Friday.
What?
Well, because Al's brother was hosting, right?
Yeah, I remember.
So I sent him a text early in the day, which I always do,
just try to get the ball rolling on how we're feeling about our picks.
Yeah.
We're on the Bills-Lions, and he flushed me all day.
No, he didn't.
Never responded.
What?
Gave me the I'm the captain now routine.
No, he didn't. Finally, he reached out Gave me the I'm the captain now routine.
Finally, he reached out to me right before 6 o'clock, right before the picks. I'm like,
I can't do anything now.
Where are we going with this? Where are we at?
We were both on the same page. He said
bills. I was going to go with bills.
It was coin flip, but I wanted to talk through it.
It was a coup on Friday.
Al's brother is now DeStefano
and bro. That's what he's pushing for.
To be honest.
Because he's feeling good about himself.
I can see that.
And based on the conversation, even him hosting, I'm like, who am I talking to right now?
Yeah.
Oh, he was a man on a mission on Friday.
In fact, he kind of like pretended he was you for a bit.
Well, listen, I think that's a compliment.
I do have a bone to pick.
And this is all I'm asking for.
I'm asking for a little more respect.
And I shouldn't be because I know you guys are
scumbags.
Rick, very layups.
Okay, but when we come and we have a good weekend picking, and as did you.
So did we.
Let's clarify.
But last weekend, it was a big tweet, and I got to jam Doogie up on this as well.
Well, Doogie gave you the easiest game of the year.
Just be honest.
How come when we win, Al's brother is nowhere to be
found and Doogie doesn't
tweet updates? Yeah, there is a
element to Al's brother when
you guys are being successful.
The Doogie thing is valid though and it's
alarming. Was he sleeping? No, because I just
I don't know if you heard it, but I just
walked in on Doogie at the urinal texting
so his phone is constantly on him.
So there is no excuse for Doogie
not tweeting out. Yeah, exactly.
And this is what happens, Frankie.
The games we lost, which has been a while.
It's been a while, I might say that.
Doogie, it's before, like, the game
ends, I'm sitting on the desk with Jay, and
the phone is blowing up because Doogie has
sent the tweet out. Somehow yesterday,
I'm like, where's the Overdrive update?
Where'd it go? I was a bit surprised by that.
It's a psyop around here. That's what it is.
Either way, we got two games tonight.
We got a lot of games going. We're still
plus two because we just keep chugging.
You guys are picking winners. Well, you were plus six.
Noodles gave a speech.
Now you're plus two. You're going to make
the wrong pick tonight. I don't think so.
I didn't see that. Noodles gave.
He came down on me and I deserved it. He was like, listen,
you are a pro athlete. This cannot be
happening. It was an
accountability speech.
It was
unfortunate. Since then, 9-1.
Very inspiring. Well, let me ask
you before we get to the games. Looking back
on yesterday. Something to chew on brought to you
by Boston Pizza's new game day menu.
Stop by your local BP for $7
touchdown pints, shareables for the whole crew, and weekly
prizing up for grabs. Football game
days are better at your local BP. Asking
in the vein
of this show, who's
a more fraudulent number one
seed in the NFL? The Chiefs in the AFC
or the Lions in the NFC? Now,
right now, by far
the Lions. And I don't think, right now, by far the Lions.
And I don't think they're going to have the one seed.
And that is because of injury.
Before Lion fans get mad at me,
it is because, I mean, Montgomery's now allegedly done?
Done for the year.
No, he had surgery.
He's out.
Done.
So now you've got, and Carlton Davis' broken jaw,
and I believe McNeil is considered done.
Is it confirmed he's done for the year? I haven't seen any definitive news on that.
I just saw Schefter tweet out, like, Montgomery, I believe,Neil is considered done. Is it confirmed he's done for the year? I haven't seen any definitive news on that. I just saw Schefter tweet out Montgomery, I believe, had the surgery.
I'm going to confirm that, that he didn't get duped on a fake account.
I thought he went for more tests.
I thought McNeil was done with an ACL.
No, Schefter.
Now confirmed David Montgomery will undergo season-ending surgery.
So he's done.
Yeah.
So they're done.
By far, it's life.
Yeah, I agree with you.
And my reaction to the onside kick last night when they were downtown,
buffoonery, buffoonery.
But let me lay this out and you tell me how you feel about this.
I think, in a way, idiot savant move by Campbell.
Don't think it was intentional, but what he did by going for that
onside kick and it blowing up in his face
took all the heat off his team and off his defense
because then it became Dan Campbell's an idiot chatter
as opposed to why would he go for that?
The reason he went for it is because Allen couldn't be stopped
and his defense is in shambles right now.
Shambles.
They can't stop anything.
So as a result, everyone's saying,
Dan Campbell, idiot, idiot,
buffoon, as opposed to, wait a minute,
move Dan out of the way. This Lions
team is in serious trouble.
I don't think it was intentional, but I actually think
it worked out brilliantly for him.
I'll take that. It's a great point.
It's amazing what you can do when Al's brother's on the line.
When he's not right on my shoulder.
We were talking about that last hour.
Let me ask you this.
When push comes to shove, there's going to be a moment this year
where Dan Campbell is faced with a situation where it's like,
are you going to be the gambler or are you going to do the more conservative
type thing, whatever that approach is?
Yeah.
When that moment comes, what's Dan Campbell going to do?
So this is where I get a bit concerned.
You mentioned the word gambler.
I happened in a past life
to be a guy who liked going to the casino.
Past life.
I was a table game guy.
There's kind of runs you get on at the casino sometimes
where you feel invincible. You're like,
man, it don't matter if I'm playing
roulette, if I'm rolling dice,
blackjack, it don't matter. I'm winning
tonight. then you start
being an idiot and you're like okay somehow i'm no longer up and i sit here i look at last night
and i know that it's like this is a gamble and it's like okay you basically just went all in on
snake eyes you know there's no 7.3 chance there's no surprise element with the new rules so how is
it that that's considered a gamble?
At that point, it's just ignorance.
And the next thing I'll say, Frankie, about
him and the gamble and that
decision is at least, let's
go back to the Packers game, the fourth
down where they won fourth at the end of the game.
I didn't love it. I would have kicked the field goal. I'm a little
more concerned with my thinking. But at least
at that point, you give the ball to David
Montgomery, who is your bell cow out of the two of them,
and you run behind Panay Sewell.
And you're like, okay, you can rationalize.
You live and die with your best
players. When you kick an
onside kick, you're hoping the other
team messes up. As a guy
who had to catch onside kicks, block
for onside kicks, and was also, not to bring
this up, a part of a game,
a very infamous onside kick
that the Green Bay Packers lost in an NFC Championship game,
your best hope is somebody else dropping the ball.
It's not we got a sweet play designed here.
So to make that decision where it's like, hey, how desperate are we?
Are we at the point where it's like, do I think he'll still do the run on 4th and 4
or go for it? Yes, I do. And I think he'll still do the run on fourth and four or go for it?
Yes, I do.
And I think it could burn him.
But at least then you could say we live and die with our best guys.
But where I get nervous is if we start playing the let's be aggressive
and hoping the other team messes up.
To me, that is a complete different version of aggression
that was the first time we've really seen that from Dan Campbell.
And I think the guy's in a blender.
I think he's an absolute blender.
Well, I think that's what's concerning, too, if you're a Lion fan,
is that now he's going to try to compensate for the deficiencies they have.
So, in other words, like a hyena is scary, a wounded hyena is terrifying
because now he's wounded.
Now he looks at his defense, and you can't look at that tape
and say anything other than we're in big trouble in Detroit.
Big trouble.
Big trouble, and what is he going to possibly do to try to get them out of it now the other team of that is the one seat is the chiefs this is the most fascinating 13 yeah we
gotta talk about this i just cannot believe they're in the position they're in i know but i've got a
bone to pick with this narrative i really do i sit here and i say okay the offense has looked
discombobulated. They have
the rhythm, the fluidity has disappeared.
And I understand that. And it is
concerning. I'm not trying to downplay that.
But in the same breath,
the defense has not. The defense
has been their top five in almost
every statistical category that matters.
Yards per game, I think
they're at five. Points per game,
heading into yesterday, they're at 19.5, giving up.
They gave up seven yesterday.
They would have gotten better yesterday.
Correct.
One of the glaring issues they had coming into yesterday's game
was the lack of turnovers, only 10 total.
Jameis went Jameis.
Jameis went Jameis, so that's part of it too.
But I sit here and say, and I'm the guiltiest party,
where it's like when I watch a football game,
I want to see Buffalo versus Detroit.
I want to see 48 versus 42. It's more see 48 versus 42. It's more enjoyable to talk
about. It's more enjoyable to watch.
But we keep forgetting about Kansas City's defense.
It's an elite unit.
They're good against the
run, great against the run. They've been
above average against the pass
and they bring a ton of different looks,
variations, pressures, and they have a great
D coordinator. So I sit here and say like, variations, pressures, and they have a great D coordinator.
So I sit here and say, like, man, I look at the AFC and people are like,
oh, who do you think the favorite is?
And I go, oh, the Chiefs.
You know, the Chiefs are 13-1.
They have one loss to the Buffalo Bills in even that game.
They're like, oh, I believe it was a 10 point.
It was three points on a fourth and two that Josh Allen might have had the play of the year on.
And that's how it got to 10.
So I sit here and say, is it inconceivable to think that somehow
Patrick Mahomes will start clicking?
No.
Everyone would say no.
And the defense has been there playing well week after week after week.
Valid.
I mean, their defense is the reason they're 13-1.
By far.
Like, Mahomes is still doing Mahomes things,
but that offensive line is trouble.
In trouble.
That's got to be terrifying, Andy Reid,
to the point where Mahomes is taking some big hits, man.
And he's running for his life.
And this time last year, Rasheed Rice started coming alive.
And Travis Kelsey, by the playoffs,
he reverted back into prime Kelsey.
Totally.
Are you going to be able to bank on that again?
I don't know, because even when you look at the way they got to the Super Bowl,
they beat the Ravens 17-10, I think it was.
Which is how they're going to have to play in the playoffs.
That's what I'm saying.
It's like they're not going to, like when they first came on the scene,
what they're kind of doing in a weird way, it's like Brady, Belichick in reverse,
where Brady and Belichick, those first three was 17 10 17 13 and then it became like brady like shootout brady
which was shootout pass was crazy too because at towards the end it wasn't like they were signing
like massive no agents wide receivers they didn't have all these crazy weapons thing about tom
what i'm saying is, the Chiefs,
when they came on the scene,
their thing, remember that game against Houston
where they were down 21-0 or
something and they won 41-20 or whatever
it was. That was their thing
was Mahomes with Hill
and Kelsey and whoever else.
They are going to torch you for 40-plus in the playoffs
and you can't stop them. They're not going to do that again.
I just don't see it.
It's almost like this is the more mature way,
if you're thinking about it, right?
You settle down.
They're the opposite of Dan Campbell right now.
I look at Dan in the Lions, and all year it was like,
not are we going to win, how much can we win by?
Where the Chiefs have been playing, we're trying to win by one.
They've been tailoring their game.
Even Patrick Mahomes in his post game
yesterday was like, I could have played
but I was like,
yo, we can win with
Carson Wentz and it might be only a
14 point win. If I'm in there, maybe it's
17-21, so I'm not going in.
You think he's the type of guy that says,
I'm not missing any time?
He's playing? I think, especially
right now, watching the Bills,
they've obviously got a great lead,
but the last three games against that the Chiefs have,
they're running the gauntlet.
They've got three playoff teams.
Yeah, Houston, Pittsburgh, Denver.
Correct.
To finish.
I think they need one more win to secure the seed.
Yes, and then you look at Buffalo.
You look at Buffalo.
They go New England, New York Jets, New England.
Yeah, they're 3-0 likely.
3-0, so really, I think they need to win two of these.
You think they've got to get two? Yeah, I guess so.
Because Buffalo's got the head-to-head.
Yeah, that Rams loss is crushing for the Rams.
Crushing them.
I think Mahomes is the kind of guy that looks at it and says,
even the schedule aside, he just wants to be in there so badly where he's like,
unless I physically can or you're telling me I'm not going to play,
I'm in there.
Is that the right play, though?
If you're Andy Reid and you have the choice,
and I don't know if you would,
would you play him Saturday and then Wednesday?
Mahomes.
So this would be my thought.
I would probably see, obviously, how healthy is he.
And then I would re-evaluate after Saturday.
But I would probably, if they win Saturday, I'm probably resting him Wednesday.
And then I'm saying, okay, we need you to beat Denver to clinch the one seed
on the last week of the season.
If you're playing that game, again, it all depends on his healthiness,
that sort of thing.
The next thing I'll say is, and it's a big ordeal in this league,
and it's very underrated, but having Carson Wentz off the bench
is a lot better than a lot of these teams have.
Look at the Seahawks yesterday.
They bring Sam Howell in.
Ugly, man.
Oh, my God.
He was trying to make some plays that just were simply not there.
Correct, and the offensive line was in shambles.
And Geno wasn't great before that.
Correct.
But I'll sit here and say, you know,
do I think Carson Wentz is a Pro Bowl guy right now?
No, but this is a guy who's been there.
This is a guy who's had a lot of success in this league.
And I would guess that if he comes in,
especially with Andy Reid, a great quarterback-friendly coach
who's coached all different levels of quarterbacks,
Carson Wentz will look good and the offense will be okay.
Will it be Patrick Mahomes? No.
I'm not saying that.
That's another decision Andy Reid's got to factor in is,
hey, do I think Carson Wentz can come out here and get it done?
And then the last thing I'll say is it's certainly nice for Andy
to make this decision saying, hey, our defense is probably going to give up 19 points.
Can Carson Wentz get to 20?
Yeah, that's huge.
Having your defense play the way they're playing right now
against a Houston team that is vulnerable offensively,
a Pittsburgh team that was smacked yesterday,
and then even Denver to their credit, but it's a rookie quarterback.
That sets up well for the team.
The next thing I'll also say with the Steelers,
and I don't have Al's brother's tremendous information,
but Mike Tomlin on short week has not been good.
It's like one of those things where he's a big game prep guy.
They're going to come out here and steal their way,
and obviously it works.
He's arguably the best coach of this generation,
but he's not as successful on the shorter weeks.
Do you think that the MVP chat is over now?
Yes.
Josh Allen has it. It's done.
The only... I think that there's
a legitimate chance that if
Josh Allen did not play another snap, he would
still have it in there. Really? The only thing
that could be the wildest wild card, and again
I want to be very clear, I think Josh has got it.
But Lamar sneakily had six
touchdowns yesterday. Five, I think he
threw four. Did he run for one, too?
He accounted for at least five.
And it's like, so there's the odd.
I didn't see that yet. He's now number two. Again,
I love Allen at negative 900. I think
so does everybody else. Massive odds.
But now all of a sudden, it's like if the Steelers
trip up, because I believe it's Steelers-Ravens
this week. Yeah, because
the four of them are then playing on the short week.
Yeah, so it's like if the Ravens come
out here and blast the Steelers
and Lamar has another five and then they end up winning the division,
is there an argument there?
Sure, but I still would think it would have to be three really,
really pedestrian weeks from Josh Allen
and then three, five touchdown weeks from Lamar to even shrink that.
I don't even know if that's...
I'm not sure it would.
Well, how much of Lamar already having one would create into that already, right?
Like, Allen doesn't have one.
He's doing this unbelievable stuff every single week.
Like, if you're not going to give it to him now,
I don't know when you're going to give him one.
Again, I think it's pretty much locked up.
And to be honest, I thought that the...
I mean, obviously yesterday was a tremendous game,
but I think the loss against the Rams was also a great game.
His numbers were phenomenal for him.
He boosted his numbers in a loss.
And it's interesting, but if you're a Bills fan right now,
I think that if you're watching your defense,
you're going to need Josh Allen to potentially do that
three times in a row in the playoffs.
Maybe four if you want to win the Super Bowl.
Like he's going to have to put them on his back
and drag them there.
Yeah. I mean, I don't think their defense is as
bad as the Lions, but I don't think they're very good.
They're not going to
try and win a game 17-10.
They don't have game-changing playmakers
on defense. They've got to score 30 a game.
Yeah. I mean,
back-to-back weeks, they've got Shel.
They can.
But again, if you're going into Arrowhead and that defense is waiting for you
is Allen going to be able to score 30
on that team?
if he does
to me if he does that
and they win the Super Bowl
because whoever comes out of the NFC
and I think there's a few really really good teams
Josh Allen's got
at this point again this, this is hypothetical,
but if he runs the table and does that,
you've got to put up one of the greatest season finishes ever
in the history of the game.
Oh, and this is his opportunity, right?
This is it because of what we're saying about the Chiefs.
Yes, their defense is phenomenal,
but now you've got a high ankle sprain with Mahomes.
Their offense is not clicking.
Pittsburgh, I think, is very beatable right now.
The Ravens have proven
that, especially the way they defend.
Whether you're the
first seed or not, this is your opportunity
if you're Buffalo. And even with the
NFC, the Lions are vulnerable.
Philly, if they get there, they're a good team, a tough team.
Their defense is playing really well.
Packers are good. Minnie's good.
Minnie doesn't get talked about.
Minnie doesn't. They should. Matchup-wise in the playoffs, I fear more Buffalo versus Baltimore
than I do anybody else.
I just don't think the way Baltimore plays the game is a great matchup
for the Ravens.
Which side of the ball do you mean that by?
Both.
Like Lamar will crush them?
I think Lamar will.
It'll overlook great, but the Bills' run defense has not been good this year,
especially yards per carry.
So now all of a sudden it's Henry, it's Henry, it's Henry.
We're moving the ball.
Lamar decides, okay, now it's my time.
We're up big.
And I think that now they really can make Josh Allen one-dimensional
because I think they still have their number one in defense in yards per carry given up.
So if we can eliminate Cook early, it's now, hey, Josh versus Lamar,
except Lamar has a run game.
Let's see who wins.
What do you make before we get to Stefano and bro?
Josh Allen, the amount of massive hits he's taking right now.
He's such a beast, but he got hit so hard yesterday.
And I don't know, that's the way he plays the game.
And this is where, and I know Bill's fans are always upset about me,
but it's like, we just talked about Mahomes going down, right? And Carson Wentz coming in. And I said, what? And I think Bills fans are always upset about me, but it's like we just talked about Mahomes going down, right,
and Carson Wentz coming in.
And I said what?
And I think we all agree.
Hey, can the Chiefs still win these games with Carson Wentz?
I think there's an opportunity.
Let me be very, very clear.
If Josh Allen goes down, this season is over.
There is no hope.
They turn into the Buffalo Sabres.
That's right. You the Buffalo Sabres. That's right.
You're the Sabres.
There's nothing going like this man is carrying this entire franchise right now.
Right.
He's carrying the whole city right now.
Yes.
It's not even close.
Yeah, he is saving Buffalo.
He's saving Buffalo.
Yeah.
They should build a statue not outside the stadium, downtown on Chippewa.
A Josh Allen statue on Chippewa.
You know what they should do is build a Josh Allen statue outside of the Sabres rink.
Yes.
Because he is saving Sabres fans from having to actually watch their product.
Yeah.
You don't have to watch them.
Yeah.
You can just watch Josh Allen do what he's doing.
So.
Look at Doogie giggling in there.
Look at him.
There he is.
What happened?
Oh, wow.
He's got no plant, no magic bullet?
No, because he's neutral.
It's the Stephano and bro.
Al's brother.
I heard you did a phenomenal job on Friday.
I love hearing that.
I hope you enjoyed yourself hosting.
He's not putting it up.
He's not putting it up.
Oh, wow.
Easy.
He's late.
I've got to wait for him.
It's the Philadelphia Eagles.
He's the leader.
Exactly.
He's toxic locker room. I'm Nick Sirianni. Who's the defensive coordinator. He's the leader. Exactly.
I'm Nick Sirianni.
Who's the defensive coordinator that stepped in on you? Clint Hurt.
Clint Hurt.
Defensive line coach.
That was wild, man.
What's funny, too, is Clint was in Seattle for a few of my years there.
That's not the guy.
The guy he's yelling at, he is not the guy that you have words with.
He is a massive human being.
He is a massive human being, and as you saw, he will not back down.
Okay, Nick. Kind of a wild play.
Alright, Alice Brother,
great job on Friday, though.
You took us home, picking the bills,
taking the points. We're on fire. These guys
are so happy because they're betting
XFL games.
They should be happy. Well, they're finally
picking a couple winners. It's been a while
since they've made this competitive.
It's been a while?
That's right.
Well, we're four in a row.
We've won at least four in a row.
Bots or no bots, and hopefully this keeps rolling.
You look at the records on the bottom of the screen right now,
I'm embarrassed for mine, but as far as picking spreads go,
generally speaking, these Muppets that are talking smack are around 50%.
The boys are humming.
Oh, absolutely. On both sides of the ledger here,
we can meet in the middle, right?
I love when people are like, you guys are minus three.
I'm like, dude, picking spread
is supposed to be 50-50. It's very difficult
to do. I got some words
to that. I almost swore a doogie, but I didn't.
Doogie's on it. Well, considering the way
we started, we were rope-a-doping out of the gate.
I was probably deep in the hole
I'm also convinced that there's a third
option here, after the PSYOP doogie's
going, I don't think TG is a real thing
anymore, I meant to tell you this Frankie
I think somebody's in the backgrounds
pulling the strings of these puppets
I think someone's making these charlots
they're the deep state
they're puppets for the deep state
who it is, I'm not sure.
We don't know.
There's no way Al's brother makes picks correctly.
Please answer this, Al's brother.
Oh, my.
Come on.
Come on.
Luke, you've got to know by now, everything that I'm telling you always comes true.
The TG is for real.
It's a process, and we stuck to it.
It's literally never worked.
Not once.
What do you mean?
Last year, it worked this weekend. It worked last weekend. It's been never worked. Not once. What do you mean? Last year, it worked this weekend.
It worked last weekend.
It's been working all week.
I came into this league two years ago when we were teammates.
Remember those days?
I recall those.
Yeah, very clearly.
And they brought me in because it was the three of us versus Hayes.
I haven't forgot that.
And the first thing before I even met you was O-Dog being like,
Al's brother can't pick a winner to save his life.
You kicked me off the team after we got a lead.
I joined Hayes.
We then smoked you.
Last year, you guys stunk from wire to wire.
It wasn't great in the playoffs.
In the playoffs, we were prepared.
In the playoffs, we messed up.
You guys still stunk.
So you were Dan Campbell in the playoffs?
I was.
I was last year.
I got to own that.
We're the Buffalo Bills.
We're built for the playoffs.
That's right.
Right, Al's brother?
Yet, we decided we're going to snap out of it and have a great performance during the regular season.
So it's not Rod Smith in the background?
No, it's not.
It's all us, PG, right?
For life.
Go ahead, Alice Brother.
They'll put a nice statue of Hazenborough
right next to Josh Allen down in Orchard Park.
You're right.
We've inspired that team this year on multiple occasions.
I think so.
So we're on the first game here.
Vikings laying seven at home against the Bears.
So on Fando, we've got it.
Vikings minus seven, just confirming that,
because I can't rely on Doogie for that kind of information.
He would sewer us.
Vikings laying seven.
Al's brother, where is your tremendous information on this game?
Yeah, I mean, I personally think that the Vikings are going to absolutely dummy
the Bears tonight.
Chicago, they stink.
They've absolutely quit on the season.
They haven't traveled well at all this season.
They're 0-6 on the road, 1-4-1 against the spread.
Their home road splits are actually quite staggering, guys.
They score five less points per game and are giving up five more points per game on the road.
Their red zone defense is awful, dropping from 36% to 56%
success rate for the opposition.
And when you look at when these two teams played
just a few weeks ago, that was the difference
of why Chicago was able to hold it close.
They kept many to just
3-7 in the red zone at home.
Now you leave Soldier Field, I
don't see Kevin O'Connell and this
Vikings defense leaving that many points
on the board tonight, especially after what we saw last night.
Our Buffalo Bills, Hazy B, laying a beatdown on the Detroit Lions,
opening up a crack for them to come through and win this division once again.
And let's be honest.
Sam Darnold, this guy went from seeing ghosts to now 20-20 vision, fellas.
He hasn't thrown a pick since November 10th.
November 10th, he's got 11 touchdowns, no picks in that span,
and the team's averaging over 30 points.
This defense can get after it.
I think they'll put Caleb in a little bit of a blender,
a little bit of a mental pretzel, possibly a pick six or two.
Tonight, I think this is a double-digit ball game.
I think we should hammer the Vikings here and lay the points, AZB.
Okay, that's a very compelling case.
Chase, how do you feel about that?
I like where he's coming from.
Listen, I can't.
It's a big spread for a divisional game.
Second time playing, blah, blah, blah.
But the Bears have quit.
They fired their coach.
They're not going to improve on that.
They looked worse since they fired Ibraflus,
which is a theme this year,
considering what's happened with other coaches
who have been fired for the most part.
Caleb Williams, he has talent,
but he is young. They're basically
throwing him to the wolves every single week.
That line is not holding up. He's getting crushed.
I think Flores sends the house
at him tonight, and I think he struggles
greatly. I'm cool with that
pick. I think it's...
I'd lean Vikings 70-30
on this, which is pretty heavy considering we've had
a lot of picks recently that have been 50 50 ball games i think we lay the points it's a big number
but i think what you just said big number big number but what you just said there as well a
little bit of extra inspiration that the lions have opened the door here and the vikings you've
got to win this ball game now covering doesn't necessarily apply there, but it might
in terms of an attitude of absolutely
laying down the hammer
on this team early and often. And I just don't
see how the Bears are going to put up points. And their defense,
they have talent. They've been good at times this year,
but they're fading. They see the light. They see
its darkness. Lay
the points. Lock it in. DeStefano
and Bro, we're on the Vikings minus
seven. Give me a skull,
Hazy B. Give me a skull!
I'm never going to do that, Ellis Brother.
That's what you bring to the table.
You bring the skull, and I'm a Packer fan.
I'm never doing that for them. Any other team,
I might think of it. That's fair.
Do you want to respond to that? Because you know it's the right
pick. I would say it's the right pick.
I'm surprised you guys took it.
It's a big number. Seven's a big number. Ramble it's the right pick. I'm surprised you guys took it. I thought TG would concoct
some sort of idiotic
ramble about going the other way.
I do hope
that the Bears,
and it's weird because they got obviously the doors
blown off of them the other night against
the Niners last week.
But this is also a team that, when was
American Thanksgiving? Two weeks ago?
A few weeks ago, yeah.
Played well against Detroit.
Played well against Detroit.
I'm hoping that they can somehow find a miracle.
You're right.
Caleb Williams is going to have to run around like crazy tonight.
They can find a miracle and just keep this one close or maybe get a greasy backdoor cover.
Seven's a big number.
It's a big number.
You know, could this be like a 12-point game
and all of a sudden the Vikings are kind of messing around
and all of a sudden Caleb has a two-minute drive?
Possible.
And that sparks us.
That's possible.
That's my best hope.
Go ahead, Alex.
Well, that's what happened last time.
That's what happened last time.
The Vikings were up, I think it was 24-10,
like at the start of the third quarter, or at the start of the fourth quarter,
and they took their foot off the gas.
I don't think they do that tonight.
If they keep the foot down,
and they know that they've got a job to finish by the end of the
season, and a big win tonight will secure
it. Okay, I like that. Alright, now this number
is starting to move towards
the Raiders. Raiders, Falcons, Raiders
at home. Now it's Falcons
laying five and a half. This was
Falcons laying six all day, but it's
moved on FanDuel. Owen Wilson
on the clock. Falcons, five
and a half point favor.
I feel kind of, no, time out, dude.
Am I wrong?
The Niners, Bears out.
The Bears lost to the Lions by three.
Vikings by three in OT.
And Packers by one.
We're hitting this for sure, dude.
There's no way.
That's an eternity ago.
These guys, those are the last three games after the Niners.
I can't believe you took that pick.
Looking at it today.
But again, the Rams and Niners recently, and ever since Eberfluss, it's been a mess. Unbelievable. you took that pick. I was looking at it today, but again, the Rams and Niners recently,
and ever since Ibraflux, it's been a mess.
Unbelievable.
Thanks for that win.
But it wasn't their offense that showed up.
It was their defense that got close.
We're covering this tonight.
That's the end of the story.
How about you guys try to pick a winner tonight?
Who do you think I'm going with?
You're going to take the Falcons.
The Kirko Bangs because Falcons.
And I love it.
The fact that you think, what did I say to you two weeks ago?
You want me to take Desmond Ritter or Aiden O'Connell?
I would take the points all day.
You're insane.
Atlanta stinks.
They're done.
They're playing the Las Vegas Raiders.
What did the Raiders do to the Chiefs two weeks ago?
The Chiefs tried to win by win.
They try to win every game by one.
Kirk Cousins would sign off on a one-point win right now.
He doesn't want to play ball.
He's a mess.
He's a mess.
You guys, I tried reverse
psychology against you guys
with the Rams game. I went in here and I
sold my soul trying to get them to
take the night.
A good friend of mine flipped his pick.
Really? Yes. Kyle was coaching
our daughter's team. We're on the ice.
It's 7.05 a.m.
Kyle, don't do that again, my friend.
7.08 a.m. skate on Saturday.
He comes over.
He goes, man, I love the Rams, but Luke was so adamant about the Niners.
I flipped to the Niners.
I'm like, don't ever listen to that idiot.
When we're making a pick, do not take anything this guy says seriously.
Yeah, Kyle, Kyle.
My picks I mean, but I kind of know where they're leaning,
or at least have an idea.
Like tonight I actually thought you'd take the Bears.
Never.
I love to play the reverse psychology game, and I was full-court press.
And Al's brother was almost on the verge of tears back there.
I almost had him.
I know.
It was an awkward moment.
A little tear came out of his eyes.
I do got to know why you feel so strongly about a team that's lost four in a row,
and Kirk Cousins doesn't know how to hit a receiver right now.
This guy's got a TD to interception ratio.
Eight to zero.
Eight to zero his last four weeks.
That's eight interceptions, zero touchdowns in the last four weeks.
You think this guy's going to go out and win a game by six?
Are you crazy?
That's tremendous information.
What are you talking about, Luke?
I'm going to get you something here, Frank.
Tremendous information.
Imagine a guy who's coming off a week of throwing for 344 yards in an NFL game
and saying he doesn't know how to hit a receiver to save his life.
But he's chasing 344 yards.
Garbage yards.
With the Nutribullet, he's saying it.
What kind of numbers did Sam Howell have last night?
344 yards.
Irrelevant.
That's what he did last week.
But he can't hit a receiver.
Yeah, he can't hit one.
Dude, he stinks.
So first and foremost, as long as we clean the turnovers up, we're fine.
Secondly, the Raiders, their own coach said they're the worst team in the NFL.
Their own coach said that.
As an inspiration to try to get them to cover against the Chiefs.
They covered.
They covered.
They covered that game.
I sit here and say to them, which you guys lost, by the way.
I remember that.
That was a start.
That was bad.
We picked the Chiefs.
But I sit here and say, I understand that there are concerns with Kirk Cousins
in the interceptions and the lack of touchdowns.
But can Kirk Cousins be better than – is it Aiden O'Connell?
Is it Desmond Ritter?
I don't even know.
They're irrelevant on that side.
Slinging the pill on the other side.
They're a terrible team.
So the line's five and a half?
I thought it was – you said it was moving the other way.
It's five and a half.
It's moving towards the Raiders.
It was six.
Falcons were minus six all day, and now money's coming in on Vegas.
Also, the Falcons are not eliminated from the playoffs.
It doesn't look great.
They're not catching Tampa.
Do you know who the Falcons play?
It doesn't matter.
What do you mean?
Kirk Cousins could play on a Friday night high school team here in Toronto,
and I would still probably bet against him.
He's in a dome tonight, though.
He's comfortable in a dome. He's a high school team here in Toronto, and I would still probably bet against him. He's in a dome tonight, though. He's comfortable in a dome.
He's in Vegas.
Raiders, Giants, Commanders, Panthers are their last four games.
They beat the Bucs twice, so they have to head-to-head.
The Commanders are the worst nine-win team in the history of football.
They're not going to beat the Commanders, though,
and I'm not convinced they beat the Panthers the way they're playing right now.
Okay, I'm not saying it's a gimme,
but the idea that these guys aren't fighting for their division still is absurd. They need the Bucs
to mess up once. Here's who the Bucs
have. The Bucs have...
Am I on this right? Yeah, the Bucs have...
Do you see what they did to LA yesterday?
I did. I did. That Baker Mayfield is
balling right now. I agree. I like Baker.
At Dallas, at home to Carolina, at home
to New Orleans. Who are they losing to?
Listen, Baker Mayfield, I love
the guy. He's the biggest wild card of all time.
One week, he's the best player
in the NFL. The next week, he throws for
150, two picks. Listen, they're going at least
to him. We're talking about Kirk Cousins. I know.
Kirk Cousins is Mr. Consistency.
You're talking about Kirk Cousins. He's Mr. Consistency.
He's in a little bit of a slump. He's going to cover
five and a half tonight. And boys, I'll be honest,
the Bears cover. Yeah, he consistently throws two picks a game.
That's what he's consistently doing. You know he's throwing a pick six tonight. There's no way he's throwing a pick half tonight. And boys, I'll be honest, the Bears cover. Yeah, he consistently throws two picks a game. That's what he's consistently doing. You know he's throwing a pick six tonight.
There's no way he's throwing a pick six tonight.
Dude, I'll bet you...
I'll bet you you're going to pay
juice on that. You're telling me right now.
You're telling me. Be honest. Be honest.
Who's your guy, Kyle? Yeah, Kyle.
Kyle right now is sitting and he's
got... His mind is in a blender.
He's got... Because I just jammed him.
And he's a Bears fan, so he's like, I don't know what I'm supposed to be thinking.
So he's a man of integrity.
Kyle's a man of integrity.
He took the Bears.
His second car tonight, he's sitting here, he's listening to the show right now.
Yes.
And you're going to tell Kyle to take the Las Vegas Raiders.
Plus five, not even a full touchdown.
Let me rephrase that.
Tell him to take a money line.
I'm going to tell him to bet against the Falcons.
It's all about the way you phrase it.
It's irrelevant who they play. That's what against the Falcons. It's all about the way you phrase it. It's irrelevant who they play.
That's what you don't understand.
It's irrelevant.
Who you're betting on is not, it doesn't matter.
It's who you're betting against that matters.
Do yourself a favor.
On your way to practice Sunday morning, bring him a coffee.
And you're paying for it.
I'm going to tell Luke to Venmo me some coffee.
I'm sorry.
I fed you terrible information.
Here's a coffee. That was a reverse psychology play.
I'll see him Saturday bright and early.
But he did.
Al's brother, admit that I almost had you.
Admit that I almost had you.
Not even close.
Get out of here.
Not even close.
And by the way, Kirk Cousins.
Kirk Cousins, minus 120 to throw a pick tonight.
Vegas is banking on it.
You said pick six. Are we talking pick or pick six? A pick. A pick. That throw a pick tonight. Vegas is banking on it. You said pick six.
Are we talking pick or pick six?
A pick.
A pick.
You got to pay juice on this guy throwing a pick against the Raiders.
That's how bad it is.
The Raiders.
I cannot take the Raiders.
I cannot take the Raiders unless they have 14 points.
And I can't take the Falcons.
I can't take the Falcons.
And that's why we're going to be even at the end of the night.
Alex Brother, great seeing you as always.
The swing night. Go get them. Let's go, bro. I love it. end of the night. Alex Brother, great seeing you as always. The swing night.
Go get it, buddy.
Let's go, bro.
I love it.
The big one tonight.
Hazen, bro, plus two.
This guy's going to kick you off the team if you miss it.
He might.
There was a coup on Friday.
He's my captain.
You stop that nonsense.
Thank you, Alex Brother.
AZP is my captain.
You were phenomenal on Friday running the show.
Nobody I want in this seat more than you.
I love it.
All right, boys.
We'll catch you on the group chat tonight.
Cheers.
Luke Wilson and Alex Brother. Where's my parts? Yeah, I need that guy. A- you. I love it. All right, boys. We'll catch you on the group chat tonight. Cheers. Luke Wilson and I.
Where's my Parsi?
I need that guy.
A-Wall.
A-Wall.
Honestly, nobody on earth knows where he is.
I've sent a couple texts.
I haven't heard.
He's our LeBron James.
LeBron returned last night, but if someone asked us, where is he?
We'd be like, I don't know where he is.
I sent a couple funny memes.
Yeah.
He's A-Wall.
I'm 9-1 right now, and I'm like, Parsi, they're winning.
I'm winning.
We're two away,
the season's ending, where are we at here?
A little support.
Don't know.
Feathers.
I don't know where he is.
Sounds like someone else might be right.
There was a guy that sharted his drawers,
and I sent it over to him.
That was good.
You got that one.
That was a good one.
All right, boys.
We'll catch you guys in the group chat tonight.
Here's Alex Brother and Luke Wilson. Overdrive continues. T'll catch you guys in the group chat tonight. Here's Al's brother, Luke Wilson.
Overdrive continues.

All right, Chris Johnston still to come.
Dave Naylor, Best Bets brought to you by FanDuel.
So, posed this question earlier.
Ottawa's now on a bit of a heater.
They're heading out west.
They've got Seattle tomorrow.
Then they're going through Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver.
Vancouver is in a bind here.
They're playing tonight.
They've got Colorado in town.
And Demko's playing again.
And Demko hasn't been playing great. But you've got to give him a gray spirit.
Yeah.
You've got to give him a gray spirit.
But they lost 5-1 on Saturday.
Rick Tockett came out with some really disparaging comments about his team.
Yet they're still in that second wild card as of now.
So is Ottawa.
If you had to put money down right now today on which team you think will make the playoffs,
Ottawa or Vancouver, you have to pick one who would get your money as of today.
In my heart of hearts, I think they're both making the playoffs.
That's not me just trying to shy away from the question.
Really?
Both teams will make the playoffs.
Okay.
I think I said when we did our predictions at the start of the year,
Vancouver was a no-brainer based on what they did last year
and who they have and how they're well-coached.
That was a no-brainer for me.
I felt like Ottawa was going to find something this year,
but they're now heading into the part of the season
that is going to make or break them, realistically.
Nine straight games on the road,
and they have all the time changes like Noodles talked about,
and they have some really good teams, and they have a tough back-to-back where they got to go vancouver
edmonton back-to-back nights but if you're asking me i think both teams will make the playoffs
i think the answer is still vancouver uh because i look at the other teams competing in the west
and they don't scare me that's what it is um ottawa like the rangers are a mess right now but
if they snap out of it and i don't know if they will's what it is. Ottawa, like the Rangers are a mess right now, but if they snap out of it, and I don't know if they will.
It's a legitimate question right now.
Are they just going to continue to drive right off the cliff?
That's got to be the thought in New York.
They lost back-to-back again over the weekend.
It's a mess.
Their offense is completely lost.
They do not have any life offensively.
What's going to happen with La Villette?
What is Drury going to do?
Is James Dolan going to step in?
There's so many
things that are left to be determined with the Rangers.
But, if
they're playing to their capability,
I still think they're a playoff team.
Ottawa, like you
said, this is their road trip.
At Seattle, at Calgary,
those are two games that they can
win. They're gettable. Very gettable.
But then it's back-to-back at Vancouver, at Edmonton,
and then back-to-back at Winnipeg, at Minnesota.
That's very, very difficult.
And don't they have Dallas after that?
And then at Dallas, at St. Louis, at Detroit.
So you're going to run into a five-game road trip
at Vancouver, at Edmonton, at Winnipeg, at Minnesota, at Dallas,
if you go one and four, you're in big, big
trouble. Because they
battled themselves back into the race,
but they haven't given themselves a buffer.
Now you've done
what you've done in Ottawa is got yourself back
in, and you deserve credit for that
to an extent, but now you've got to keep going.
If you want to get into the playoffs,
everyone knows the number. You're going to have to
get to probably 94, 95 points.
Oh, it's at least 95. That's generally what it is.
Last year, teams are 99 points.
The last wildcard team. Here's a good thing
that's going well for Ottawa. Linus Allmark
is playing great. Outstandingly.
With that being said, you're going to go
Allmark and Seattle, Allmark and Calgary.
You don't have to worry about the back-to-backs.
Then you have a Vancouver-Edmonton.
Forsberg is going to have to play one of those.
Then you do the Winnipeg-Minnesota.
Forsberg is going to have to play one of those.
At least with Allmark
playing at, like, guys, unbelievable.
Like, is it a 9-24,
9-30? 5-1 in his last six, I think.
His last six games have been
back to Vesna caliber.
So with that, you will always have a chance to win games.
They're playing better as a team.
And even listening to Brady talk on Saturday after the game that was against Pittsburgh.
Like if, you know, it's hard because guys will say stuff and you're like, oh, it feels like things are really coming around for them.
And then they lose three in a row.
Like it's hard to put a lot of stock into that.
But it does feel like it feels like the players have bought into what the coach is saying
and they when you see the results it's easier to stay within that you know and not deviate from it
yeah they've they've played much better recently they're seven two and one in the last 10 auto
okay emotional right like vanc, Taka is talking about
how you need an emotional investment to play the game.
I feel like I'm seeing the emotional side of it from Ottawa,
whereas in Vancouver, they're still looking for that.
Well, and that's my concern in Vancouver.
I can paint a picture pretty easily
as to how this goes awry for them.
If Demko never finds it,
which is a real possibility that
this year, I'm not saying not the rest of his career,
but you miss as much time as he
did. You miss training camp. You miss
exhibition. You miss kind of
building with the team. He may just never
look and feel like himself at any point
this year. The JT
Miller, the whole story
around him is one that is
very strange. This is one that is very strange.
This is so weird, man.
It's very strange.
And even the way people are trying to parse his words
and try to figure out what's going on with his body language,
it's just very clear something's off with JT Miller.
So if he doesn't play the way he has for the past couple of years,
last year he was probably their MVP.
Maybe you'd say Quinn Hughes or Healthy Demko,
but he was phenomenal for them.
Patterson is still a target in that market.
He's been better recently,
but he's still a guy that is very radioactive.
And will that affect him as he continues to go on?
Hronik's been injured.
You can paint a picture with Vancouver
where it does fall off the tracks for him.
It's not that hard to do it.
It doesn't mean it will.
I'm not predicting that it will.
But it is in front of you to make that case.
I think with Vancouver,
their season could have been sunk already.
Not having Demko, missing Miller, missing Besser,
Pedersen not playing well,
Hronik's been out for a few weeks now.
It could have been sunk already.
And the fact that it isn't tells me that, A, Rick Talkett is a good coach,
and there's enough there as far as players on the wing
or just guys that can give you a chance to win games
that it's not going to fall off the rails just yet.
Because if it hasn't happened with all that going on,
they have something in place that they can kind of fall back to.
But you're right.
It doesn't take much like we've seen that where one thing happens and the dominoes fall and it's
like it was gone and it just got away from you i don't think that's going to happen and based on
who they have behind them like do i think calgary is a playoff team i think calgary has been a good
story this year but ultimately not a playoff team. Utah, too many warts in their game.
St. Louis is the one that you could see.
They're trying to get in.
They see a window here.
They've gone out and now traded for Cam Fowler because they think they have a chance to make the playoffs.
Seattle just can never really get past that 500 point.
And then you've got the San Jose.
It's just teams that aren't going to make the playoffs.
They're in a fine spot, and I think if it was going to go bad for them,
all these things have happened for them that it would have happened.
They have weathered the storm incredibly in Vancouver,
and the fact that they're 5-7-4 at home is astonishing that they're in a playoff spot.
Again, that's another thing where you can look at it and say it's a testament to them.
They're 10-2-1 on the road, which is an incredible record.
All right, Chris Johnston coming up more on the Leafs weekend
and the week that they have ahead.
They play Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Monday
before they hit their Christmas break.
So we'll catch up with CJ.
Dave Naylor still to come as well.

Alright, we sent Al's brother out somewhere in the city with a pair of Leaf tickets,
and you have to guess where he's hiding for your chance to win them.
This is the first clue of the week.
The big one for Al's brother.
It really kind of sets the whole tone for all of the clues.
You ready to hear from Al's brother?
Yeah, let's do it.
Hey, Overdrive fans.
It's a new week,
which means we've got a new set of Maple Leafs tickets
to give to you.
It is for the Leafs and Jets game on December 23rd.
But you've got to find out where is Al's
brother, and here's your Monday
clue to get you started.
I'm currently in a location
that is quite chilly
where I am, so I think
I'm going to get me a nice cup
of hot cocoa to warm myself
up.
I have no idea
where he is. Could be anywhere in Canada.
Could be literally anywhere. Tune in tomorrow for
another clue. And the first caller through on Friday
with the correct location wins a pair of
tickets to see the Leafs take on the Jets December
23rd. Fine Owls Brothers brought to you

Yeah, that'll be a fun game. It's at
2 o'clock in the afternoon game.
Winnipeg in town, too.
Yeah, there we go.
It's a double TSN game.
Two TSN crews. Is it? Oh, that's right.
I guess because it would be on 4 and 3.
I think we're on it there.
Yeah, that's right. It's a TSN game.
Next Gen game, I believe. Yeah, I think they're doing three of TSN game. Next Gen game. I believe. I think they're doing
three of those this year. They did the one with Detroit
and then
this one...
They've done a pretty good job of that. They find a
one afternoon game. It was a rarity
for the Leafs to do that, but they really
try to push getting kids there.
It's going to be fun.
Winnipeg's got to find it, man.
They had that hot start and now all of a sudden they can't score.
Power play's still good.
Still defending.
Goalies playing unbelievable, but they're not scoring.
Yeah, they used up all of that puck luck and shooting percentage.
The old PDO, eh?
The PDO was firing on all cylinders the first 15 games.
They never have to worry about the save percentage.
That is always going to be there.
That's right.
Yeah, the shooting percentage, though, that's...
But it is amazing.
When you start 15-1 and you get all the press that they got,
I think if you ask the average fan who's not really paying attention daily,
they'd say, oh, they're still in first probably by 10 points.
But, dude...
And they're not.
Like, wouldn't you sign up for it?
Like, you're still first in the Central.
Yeah, exactly.
Sign up for it.
Oh, you're in a great spot.
Despite how the last, you know, whatever, 10, 15 games have gone. You'll take that any day of the week. Great, exactly. Oh, you're in a great spot. Despite how the last 10-15 games
have gone, you'll take that any day of the week. Great, great
spot. Alright, final hour coming up.
Chris Johnston, Dave Nalo, and our best bets.
Overdrive continues.
