All right.
When Wilson is cooking.
It's bringing one of the great Canadian football players our country has ever produced.
struggling when it comes to the NFL bets.
It's Luke Wilson, PSN football analyst,
joining us via the phone here.
Luke, how we doing?
We're living large, boys.
Living large.
We've got to turn things around somehow, pal.
I don't know.
We've got to go major league and get a chicken or something.
I don't know what we got to do.
We already did the slump buster of punch.
Okay, last night it was, I mean, what a fluke, dude.
That was the worst game I've ever seen.
Denver puked all over not covering that.
We're down 10, but parts, you've got to remember.
Oh, yeah.
And I just heard.
What do I have to remember?
You've got to remember.
Thanksgiving is two weeks away.
We've got opportunities, baby.
We just got to shrink this gap.
When we get at the end of November, we're going to have the three games on Thursday,
and then we go right into the regular weekend.
There's a lot of meat on this bone sill.
We got it.
We got to flip the, the time.
tight, though. It's got to happen here.
Parts, I'm going to try to be optimistic,
but I know that
if you were my teammate in the National
Hockey League, and it was 8-0
going into the third period,
and you sat beside me on the bench,
I would look at you and say,
let's try not to get hurt, we're not
winning this game, and we suck
tonight. That's fair, but there's
a small caveat here.
If I was your teammate in National
Hockey League, we'd be playing other
national hockey league players.
We're playing two bums that are just getting very, very lucky.
Now you've got me interested, because that is true.
Next week in Winnipeg, listen, everyone on this panel today is going to be in Winnipeg next week for the Grey Cup.
We're all fired up for it.
Why doesn't Tim O. and Wilson just floor it together, hit some Grey Cup parties, build up the camaraderie?
That could be the real turning point.
You heard William Nealander today say the Maple Leaf's Halloween party may have been the turning point for this team-winning
three in a row. What about, you know, you go to the Argos team party next weekend in
Winnipeg? Who knows what could happen? Parts? Never know. Maybe we get after it out in the
peg and just do some damage. I just, I mean, Luke, I just want to jump in here. What hurts my
heart is Al's brother is just so full of himself right now. That's what bothers me. Arrigan.
Yeah, I agree, noodles. He's a cumbag, though. Would you expect any other type of
behavior.
No, you would not.
He deserves it right now.
All I'm saying is, if we can get this thing down here, parts, which is a big
if I haven't picked well, we haven't picked well, and they have gotten very lucky.
But if we can get this thing down here over the next couple weeks, break up game in
there next week will help us out, if we get to like six-seven-ish range, then Thanksgiving
we got strike.
We got strike on Thanksgiving into that weekend.
The next thing you know, this might be the biggest collapse we've ever seen.
Biggest class you've ever seen.
Okay.
I hope so.
I hope so for the sake of the integrity of the picks.
I think that would be welcome for all.
Let's talk about what happened last night, although I'm with you.
It was a horrible game.
But the Denver Broncos are now eight and two.
They've won seven games in a row.
Their defense is amazing.
This pass rush is as dominant as we've seen in a long time.
Their offense, though, is just awful.
Are you a believer in Denver as a team that can actually make some noise in the
AFC.
If I make some noise, okay, because
like are you saying win the Super Bowl?
Maybe not win the Super.
That seems like a stretch.
Well, why not?
If you're going to make some noise, you might as well make some noise.
What the hell is the sense of saying, oh, we're just kind of legit.
Make some noise parts.
Can they make noise?
Yeah.
I don't think so.
You know, I don't believe, I don't, it's funny, I was listening to Richard
Sherman, I thought he had a great opinion on it, where he's like the team's
living on the razor's edge.
Like, what happens?
on the game where the sacks don't show up.
Is this offense going to carry them to a win somewhere?
So, quite frankly, if you look at the eight winners.
Yeah.
With those comments, you're basically saying.
Yeah, you don't trust Bo Nix is what you're saying.
Let's put this way.
It's Buffalo versus Denver right now.
Do I think Josh Allen gets sacks six times?
No.
Do I think Josh Allen gets held the 14 points?
Absolutely not.
So is Bo Nix going to shred Buffalo?
I don't...
I mean, certainly after watching last night, you don't feel that way.
And I think Bo Nix has had some great moments.
I mentioned it yesterday.
Not in yesterday's game, but before the game.
He's been really great in the fourth quarter of games.
But, you know, they've got two games coming up here in the near future against KC.
Like, do I think that Kansas City is going to have a lead in that game?
Absolutely.
So I'm just not on the, like,
super hype train. I think they're a very great defense, like you said. I think they're going to
make the playoffs. I think they have, depending on what that seat is, the possibility to upset
in the playoffs, for sure. But the idea that they're going to get through Kansas City, whether
it's on home or on the road or Buffalo, I'm not sure I'm like, I'm not buying that yet.
Luke Wilson is our guest here, an hour one of overdrive. And I mean, it is hard to imagine Denver
with the way that their offense has been operating
to this point, would be able to make any real noise
in the AFC, but a couple of crucial
games this week, Baltimore in action,
that's a team that is essentially
a must-win scenario, right, considering where
they are, how many games Lamar Jackson
has missed? Is that a team
still to this point that you view
as a real contender in the AFC, the Ravens?
A real
contender for the Super Bowl, I think that with
Lamar and Derek Henry,
you know, they can beat anyone,
I do think they're still going to struggle to make the playoffs.
I think it's a possibility.
You know, you look at last week, Pittsburgh obviously kind of turn their fortunes around, big win.
But beyond that, like as far as that last wild card spot, this defense can't continue to mess up.
Now, they've played a lot better, a lot better last few weeks.
And you look at some of the big numbers they gave up.
They were against great teams and great quarterbacks.
but still that being said
there's almost no room
or margin for error whatsoever
and the big one is going to be playing
the Steelers because it seems like every year
Mike Tomlin finds a way
to at least split that
you know home and home
division rivalry
and I think they're going to have to sweet
the Steelers this year so I'm not sure
I'm buying them as a contender yet
and they got kind of a lot to prove to me
so luke it's semi-final
saturday and the cfl tomorrow
Montreal hamilton bcatchewan who is playing
in the great cup next week in your opinion
i think it's probably
my opinion i would go Saskatchewan versus Montreal
but i don't feel great about that
um i think both semis will be very very close
uh Montreal you know obviously davis alexander's yet to lose a game
um as a starter i should say
But my guy, Bo, Levi-Mitchell, though, parts.
He's my man.
Yeah, he is the guy, and Kenny Lawler is my guy.
I worry about that defense.
You know, like that one, I think if Hamilton wants to win,
I think they're going to have to score 40 points, and they can do it.
But again, you talk margin of error here.
It's going to be very tough on Bo and Kenny to continue to score pretty much every drive.
On the flip side, I just think there's some magical about Saskatchew.
one this year. I know a lot of people like B.C. to win the whole thing. I think it's going to be
very, very cold in Saskatchewan. It kind of breeds toughness. That team with Coach Mace
at the helm, I think it's pretty gritty, and I think they'll find a way to get it done.
You guys know the first time I met Luke Wilson was at the Grey Cup in Vancouver in 2014.
I got a text from a random number that just said, I'm outside, and I figured it was Luke,
who was on the Seahawks at the time. And for whatever reason, I was producing Dave Nailor's
radio show. I walk outside B.C. place a couple of hours before the game, and there's
Luke Wilson just standing there at the entrance, and I brought him in. Was that the last time
you were at the Great Cup, Luke? That was the last time. We played on a Thursday that year.
It really linked up nicely because I was like, man, we played our Thursday game in Seattle.
I always head to Vancouver anyways, and the Grey Cup is right there. So it was kind of a fun
experience. I ended up being a pretty wild game, too. So you went from the Roxy right
to the BC place
before or after or both of the game.
We did the Peter tour.
I know you guys know this.
I think it was West Oak to Pierre's Lounge
over to 12 West with a stop and the rocks in the way.
So that's what we called it.
That was a good.
I think we might have done that both night.
That's a beautiful thing.
All right.
So let's get to the picks here.
And Haysenbro leads by 10 over.
Owen Wilson. And Al's
brother and Brian Hayes, they have two
picks there on Tampa and
the Patriots, the Chargers, and the Steelers.
And Al's brother is sent in a video
because he's too preoccupied by
the card show to actually make
an appearance. Why don't we play the video, Joe,
from the bridge?
What's up, boys? Last night was a
swap, but the Raiders pulled it out and
put us into double digits
plus 10 and moving
along as we go further
into week. Number 10.
We got a couple games that we've got to pick here for Team Haysenbro.
First game I'm looking at Patriots at Bucks.
Bucks laying two and a half.
But I gotta tell you what, there's a buzz in the air here at the Sport Card Expo around Drake May.
His cards are going for astronomical prices.
And why is it?
Because he's an MVP candidate.
And he's going to go into Tampa Bay.
And he's going to absolutely punish Baker Mayfield, cover the number.
Maybe win the game.
We're going to go ahead and take the points with the road dogs.
As for the second game, complete opposite.
I like the home favorites in that one.
Two and a half points, the Chargers.
I think the Steelers, a bit of a fraudulent win last week.
They got six takeaways from the Colts.
Herbert should be able to protect the football a little bit better,
making more of a closer game here.
But I expect for the Chargers, a really good team.
Top 10 defense, top 10 offense, surrounding into form.
I expect for them to go ahead and win by a field goal or more.
So we're going to lay the points with the Chargers and take the points with
Pats.
Great audio.
Thanks a lot for sending that in,
I was really good.
The disrespect of the two guys
walking by at the end
for something else.
Unbelievable stuff.
Hey, let's find the noisiest place
I could record.
It's Stanley 20 feet away
from the camera and send that video in.
He was at a bus terminal.
That's why.
I don't know what the hell that was.
He's on the Pats and the Chargers.
Am I right there if I can understand?
All right.
Timone Wilson, you guys have the Colts.
The line is six and a half
against the Falcons.
Where are you at?
Parts. Hit me. I'm not going to lie.
We're in good shape. I'm very surprised by those picks right now on their picks.
We're on our guy Bakie, and we got Aaron Rogers later.
I don't mind that at all. First pick, parts, I got a role with Indiana Jones.
Listen, I know six and a half is a big number, but look how bad Atlanta has played this year,
and you just get sauce gardener. You can't tell me a turnover's not coming.
And I think last week was a fluke for Indiana Jones. There's no T.J.
getting after him this week, I really
think that the Indianapolis writes
to ship and gets this thing done.
Okay, then you have the Colts.
You have the Colts, and now your
other pick is the Rams 4-and-a-point
favorites against the Niners, Luke.
I already know where this one's going.
Parks, time out withers.
So, I have a confession.
I have a confession, all right?
Yes.
I got a text from Pudge.
I got a text from Pudge.
Oh, no.
Okay, time out, time out.
You know that I'm going, I'm going with the Rams.
That's right.
Pudge said to me, I'm telling you, take the 49ers.
And I'm like, there's no world where I'm taking the 49ers.
Where is this coming from?
What information do you have?
And Pudge's line is, I've got a couple pro gamblers that I follow who are on the 49ers.
No.
I want to go against Pudge after what he did to me,
and I like Matthew Stamford as well.
Okay.
I'm in love.
Is you going to be?
Yes.
Go ahead.
Tell me the difference.
Harrison Mevis,
aka the thicker kicker that's taken over for Cardi.
That's the Rams, baby.
Look to a thicker kicker up, boys.
That's going to cover our spread this weekend.
That man.
All right.
So we're lying on Pudge and the thicker kicker.
for not to cover the spread.
No, not pudge, not pudge.
I guess anti-pudge, what are we talking about?
Anti-pudge, yes.
Parts, I almost said pudge.
You know that this weekend, like,
if we don't turn this thing around,
you guys don't even know how we continue.
Like, we have to figure some,
we have to concede or start from scratch
or pay them out or get some kind of blue light special.
I don't know what we got to do next week.
Listen, I totally agree,
but, and you never know where these things land,
but let me just paint a small picture for you here.
Okay, we're riding with Indiana Jones,
who up until last week was considered an MVP,
and I think still is in the conversation.
Okay, then we're going to have Bakie,
Baker Mayfield, another guy in the MVP conversation.
Then we're going to have Matthew Stafford.
They were going to have Aaron Rogers.
Like, we're in pretty,
that's a pretty good four game slate for us,
parts.
If we can't squeeze three wins out of this and close this gap to eight,
with our pick on Monday night, I believe,
you know, what else are we doing here?
We're in good shape.
Let's get it done.
Let's chip away at this thing.
All right, you're the captain.
I like it.
I think we're in trouble,
but we can always get ourselves out of it
because you set it off the top.
We're not playing against other athletes.
We just saw what we're playing against.
A guy around Bums at a card show.
We're playing against Bums.
Hard just few.
Luke, we'll see you in Winnipeg.
Make sure to check out Film Never Lies on TSN's YouTube channel.
