Let's bring in...
Owen Wilson
is cooking.
Winne Wilson.
Pro-athletes salute.
Tough Monday nighters tonight, man.
These two teams are not very good.
Eagles, Cowboys.
We're on the clock.
It's a tough game to call.
It's a very tough game.
And what makes it so difficult is that I don't think anyone can understand who the
Cowboys are.
Because it's not a personnel.
It's trash, dude.
But it's not.
a talent level.
You can watch some teams, but they don't really got guys.
We're talking about effort.
The coaches are talking about effort
in a league where you play 17 games,
one game a week.
Right.
You're troubling.
You're talking about effort.
This isn't like peewee hockey here.
Like, hey, kids, you know.
Right.
It's in the National Football League.
Under the lights, Monday night are
against a massive rival.
You would think they'd have life
tonight.
Who they should beat by 20 points because of the situation in Philly right now.
Well, and are you talking Tanner McKee?
I'm talking about quarterback.
Tanner McKee, Devante Smith on the trading blocks.
Sequin has obviously been banged up.
The O line is that a man traded and retired.
Yeah, it's bad.
Okay, like it's, it's real bad.
Real bad.
Yeah, it's, I'm leading to.
I'm leading to need it.
I get it.
I don't know how you lay points with Dallas on the road against anybody.
The way they're playing, I don't know.
Like if you took out all the nonsense just looked at it, you'd say Dallas.
But I'm with you.
I know.
It's tough to give Dallas.
Four and a half.
In a division game.
I'm not even baiting you.
No, no, no.
Listen, I came in here thinking Eagles, I understand how awful they've been.
They've lost four in a row.
They're in complete disarray.
It's a mess.
But the Cowboys are terrible.
And defensively, they're, I think, worse than the Eagles.
Certainly I think they're worse than the Eagles.
For sure.
The Eagles defense has not been great.
They haven't been great in any capacity, Philly.
But divisional game at home, you've lost four in a row.
I think in a way, this Tanner McKee, who I don't claim to know a ton about.
I think he's a pocket pass with a live arm.
That's all I've read.
Yeah.
But it might be an upgrade over the way Perks was playing.
Right?
So maybe you have a different look.
Anyway, speaking of offenses that have struggled, I'll get to my pick a little bit later on.
People got to really, they can't wait for that.
Can't wait.
You got to pay for, you know, rapid information on this show.
We all need to pick it up with the picks.
Yeah, they're really ugly right now.
We're not picking winners right now. I thought we had
we won the 930. We won the one.
Yeah. And the Packers
had no business. No, I mean, that
Trey Smack missed two field goals
inside 25 yards last.
26 and 35 yards. Yeah, inside 35 yards.
Yes. Only one time that has happened
in all of the NFL this year. One
kicker has missed from inside 35 yards. He missed two
yesterday. I mean, this was
crazy. And again, the first
opening drive, you have a nice drive
that get stopped. You get a 25 yard
or 26 yard, excuse me, and they said, oh, this
was blocked. So this is what I want, if you're
watching this right now, the only way a kick
should be blocked by an up
arm is if he breaks through the line.
Especially at that depth. When you're
not that far away, you don't drive
the kick, you just pop it up in the air.
Like there's a real world.
There's a real world where
36 might be a little
tougher, you could have no blockers and good kickers
should be able to snap the ball back and still make the kick.
With no blockers.
Like 25 yards. Get it high enough. Correct. You literally take one step.
Now, obviously, you want to pop the ball.
Like, punting, you kind of drive it more. I know it goes higher.
But like kicking, if you watch it the best kickers, now,
are the ones you got to put a little more juice in. So there's a trajectory issue
when you get back to plus 50 and beyond.
But at 36 yards, it's,
It's like, boss, take your steps to pop it up.
It's like a wedge, you know?
It's in a dome, too. There's no wind.
I mean, you don't need to.
I just missed wide right.
The Packers drops.
Yeah, it was the penalties.
That was the, well, and some of the, the,
or grievous.
The roughing the passer at the end was pathetic.
And I hate how the quarterbacks, like, gloat about getting the flag.
Like, I understand why, but there's no way Jared Goff actually thought that was
worthy of a flag.
Like, there's no chance.
And he gets up and he looks at the racetrack.
like good call, you made the right call.
It's so disingenuous.
It was an awful call.
Lefleur kind of did as much as he could postgame carving them.
But yeah, they had the Jacobs miss in the end zone.
That was a horrible drop.
There were a horrible drops last week.
Melton had one down the field.
It was not good.
We pushed that parts.
I'm sitting here and I'm like, all right, we're down one.
We took the Chiefs.
I get it was a bit of a risk, but I thought it would be a one-point game.
You know, I'm like, yo, this is going to be like last second field goal type vibe.
Dude, how do the Chiefs put up a three-pack?
I mean, part of it was their kicker.
Now, those are tougher kicks, but he misses the one to half.
Then he misses, I think that was 58, so I'll give him a pass there.
But then he misses, I think it was 45, do you can back check me on that.
45, when I'm sitting here, I'm like, yeah, could we back door this thing?
13 to 3.
I'm like, oh, we get this to 13 to 6.
Put a little pressure on Sam Darnell who had a red zone turnover.
Give Mahomes the ball back late in the game.
They didn't look good at all, but he was starting to do like the magic.
like roll out through across his body stuff.
I'm like, we might be able to get something going here.
Okay.
Nope.
But they never got in the red zone.
But you can't, you can't blame the kicker when you do not get into the red zone for the first time in Patrick Mahomes' career.
What do you mean?
You can't blame the kicker.
We're not making a 45-yard kick.
You don't get into the red zone.
So you lose by 13 instead of by 17.
It was 13 to 3.
But that's an old-trial.
You got all momentum.
You got all momentum.
At some point, you have a 45-yard kick.
The guy has one job.
kick the ball.
How about the fact that Andy Reid was coming off a buy and their offense looked
putrid.
That's fair.
I would say the defense in Seattle looks better, but I can't believe you guys are just giving
the kicker free players.
We're not kicker haters like you, bro.
I am a kicker hater, but I mean, that's...
Both things are true here.
Yes, he's got to make those kicks.
He should make that kick.
Maybe if he makes a kick, then if he makes them, they lose 20 to 9.
He still lose.
No, no, no, time out.
You have to score touchdown.
Time out.
they scored because they have a short field.
You're telling me right now, I'm going to ask you this right now.
He makes the kick.
They kick the ball off.
Let's say they stop them inside the 25-yard line.
You're telling me that you think with that momentum down seven,
Patrick Mahomes does not find a way.
I'm telling you that.
I'm telling you the way he played last night,
the way Kenneth Walker ran a ball last night.
Yeah, 36 yards.
Yeah, nothing.
2.6 yards.
And then ran off and didn't shake anyone's hand after the game.
That was greasy.
That's kind of a strange play.
You don't see that much in the NFL.
Listen, the Chiefs, everyone's afraid to call out Mahomes.
I'm not saying to play good.
He was awful last night.
Like, I don't, I don't, everyone's trying to come up with excuses that he doesn't have a number one wide receiver, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Look at their, look at who they've played.
Oh, no, no, no.
But this is what's got to come up here.
Denver doesn't count, right?
Denver's the one win.
But here's the thing about that game.
Let me finish.
Bonix was horrendous and they couldn't tackle anybody.
Like, they were awful that night.
They have played the.
Chargers, the Raiders, the dolphins, the Colts.
Yes.
That's a joke of a run.
Fair, but.
This team is not that good.
I'm out. No.
They've only lost one game.
Look who they've played.
Look who they've played.
Time out.
They've played nobody's.
And when they finally played a team last night, they got spanked.
They played, quote, unquote, nobody's.
Yes.
But they've dominated those games.
Number one offense coming into last night, coming into last night.
Kenneth Washington.
Yards per game, yards per game, they're number one.
Okay.
Points per game, they're number one.
number five. Rush yards per game, they were number one at 159.8. What do you want them to be like,
oh, man, we're playing bad teams? Like, they went out here and drilled these teams.
Well, no, they didn't. They beat the Raiders by three points. The Raiders have been greasy all year.
They beat the Colts by three points. The Colts are horrendous. They're an awful team. They're
firing their GM. It's going to be a fire cell there. There should be a fire sale. It's a mess in
Indianapolis. You cannot say the mess. You cannot say it's a mess. They just lost to Tennessee. No,
what I'm saying is, I'm not saying they're fraudulent. I'm saying they're not the best team in the
AFC.
Who is?
I think the bills are better.
Oh, here comes some bills.
I think the Denver, look at the Broncos schedule.
They beat the Broncos.
I know they did.
The first game of the year, the Monday nighter, and Denver was awful that game.
You're taking Bo Nix.
Look at who they've played compared to Kansas City.
They've had a way more difficult schedule.
Bonix's order for a lot of schedule.
Way more difficult schedule.
Patrick Mahler's not throwing the ball down the field.
The Super Bowl champs.
They play in Seattle on prime time.
The toughest building to play in.
Against a job.
generational defense and they got smoke.
And Seattle was great.
It's an overreaction to say that
none of these other games matter.
What I'm saying is, I'm not
saying I'm not overreacting to last night.
I'm saying the overreaction to the first five games
is what I'm pointing to.
I don't think so. In fact, I think there's still an argument.
You think they're the best team in the league?
No, you said the AFC.
Okay, the AFC. You think they're the best team in the
NFC. I think if I were to rank them right now,
I don't feel good about it, but I think they're in the top three
and I would probably no one.
So who's the best?
I think the bills are better.
The bills are better.
Why?
Bills are better.
Either quarterback's better.
100%.
They've got the best quarterback in football.
Period.
But the old offensive line is better.
My dad.
My dad.
Hormack's better.
Here's the thing.
No, no, no.
Kenneth Walker has been great.
He's been phenomenal.
So you're taking Ken Walker or James Club.
I'm not convinced that's going to be the case.
The rest of the year.
Do you think Kenneth Walker is going to run for 2,000 yards?
Last week, they were talking about benching James Cook,
because of the two fumbles.
I understand that.
Who has had a better career?
James Cook,
isish.
Teth Walker is Super Bowl MVP.
He had a great game.
He was phenomenal in that game.
I'm just saying, like Walker has been so good, to his credit.
Offensive player of the year, he's been phenomenal.
Yes.
He's had multiple games where he's run for like 200 yards.
He's been unbelievable.
If that slows down, which I believe it will.
It's unsustainable.
It's unsustainable.
It's going to put pressure on Mahomes to find targets.
I'm waiting to hear how you guys can say the bills with that defense are the
I still think the bills, I think their defensive line has been very good.
It's been solid.
Been very good.
You talk about their secondary.
So what is your final assessment, Hayes, about the Chiefs?
You don't, you, like, what are they five and one?
Yeah, they lose one one.
One game against the Super Bowl champs and now will sudden.
So what is, what is the conclusion after one loss that they're phonyes all of a sudden?
My conclusion is they're a good team.
I don't think they're a great team.
And I did not think they're a great team coming into the season.
I think they're a great team.
I think it's a lot.
What about Mahomes in particular?
though. What do you see out of him
that I know his aura
and he deserves it all because he earned
it all, but
what you've seen out of him through six
games this year, last year, maybe the
year before,
is the real
Patrick Mahomes still in there? Yes.
You think he is? Yes. And I ask you this.
Do you think it's a weapons issue? Can you name
three receivers
for the Kansas City Chiefs that
played yesterday? Well, Xavier Worthy
was one. I won.
I watch the game, and I'm not even trying to put you on spot.
I'm not sure.
No, it's tight end.
I understand.
No, Gray, we're going tight end.
Yeah, I know.
I don't think I can't.
I know.
I watch the whole game.
So what can you do about that, though?
And this is my thing is it's like, I think, well, they could potentially go get somebody.
You know, I think Rishi Rice can be healthy.
Yeah.
Tyquant Thornton.
They go into that thing.
I'm not trying to make an excuse.
They got smoked.
Smoked.
But I think it's one of those things.
Seattle's desperate.
Seattle has been the best.
1A and 1B with Minnesota, defensive unit.
They were great last year.
Every week they've been grading it.
Total yards, they've been number one.
Points obviously is Minnesota.
Okay.
And they got smoked.
I'm just not ready to say that they're not a great football team.
Okay.
And I don't think it's fair to say the bills are just a clear cut number one.
I'm not saying it's clear cut.
I'm just saying I would take the bills.
I still, I picked Denver at the start of the year,
and they're five and two somehow, and they've played.
Bonix has played the worst possible quarterback you can play.
I look at, again, I think all those things can be each other,
but I look at Denver, elite defense.
Yes.
Run game is not great.
Quarterback play has been very, very subpolyn.
So you have some glaring issues there.
Yeah.
You look at Buffalo.
Quarterback play, run game, offense in general,
has been out of this world outside of a few moments in a few games.
Stopping the run, they've been unbelievable.
Secondary.
Struggling.
Very bad.
Very, very bad.
What is very bad about Kansas City?
They don't have that glaring.
The wide receiver position.
Not making a big place.
They're not.
There's no place over the top.
At the moment, when they get Tyquan Thornton back,
okay, Xavier Worley fills in,
and as in his true role, which is not a number one guy,
and Rhe Rice, that is their weakest spot,
but I wouldn't say that's bad.
I mean, their secondary got cooked at times,
last night.
JSN is a special player.
He's a go.
I get it.
He's a special player.
But like McDuffie,
they're like Spags' head was
exploding at times last night.
I agree.
Listen,
I'm not,
I'm not,
that's unbelievable.
I want to be very clear.
I do,
I'm not making excuses.
Okay.
All right.
They got smacked.
All right.
But I think the kicker jamming.
Speaking of,
speaking of teams with a credible records that may not be as good as
their record suggests,
where are you on the only undefathing?
defeated team in the NFL.
His Vikings. He loves the Vikings.
You don't see some, you don't see
some holes there? What holes?
Well, Kyler's the hole. I mean,
let's be clear here. You can't win 16-10
all year and get in winning
Super Bowl. You're not, they're not doing it.
Why not? Because it's modern football.
You're not winning 16-10.
They got the, I believe their next two games
are Lions' Bills. Doge fact-checked me on that.
So they're going against two very bad
back ends coming up.
Yeah. Or is the Bill's lines. I know those back
Bill's coming off a buy. That'll be a great game.
Is it Lions Bills or Bill's Lions? Help me out here.
Yeah, let me look. I got it right here.
Lines, bills. So I had it right.
At Lions, at home to the bills on Monday night.
So we'll see in these next two weeks.
Then at Packers, then Niners at home.
We'll see in these next two weeks. I believe in them.
But I look at these next two games specifically.
And I'm like, your defense, which is given, I think it's 12.3 points per game.
Incredible defense.
Incredible.
Right.
Incredible.
Is now going up against two juggernaut offenses.
Detroit's offense has got a lot of juice.
I know they didn't score a ton against Green Bay.
They got a lot of juice.
They better get Sam Laporta cooking, man.
He is not a happy guy.
Not a happy guy.
And you're going up, I think right now they're controlling the ball.
They're not turning it over.
Jefferson's been playing well.
Addison, you're starting to get a little three-headed monster there.
The offense needs to grow.
I think they can grow.
Grow.
I mean, they've got 10 touchdowns in six games.
I was looking at up.
The last time a team was 6-0 with 10 touchdowns or less,
they were wearing leather helmet.
It was more than 100 years ago.
Otto Graham is their quarter.
In the same breath. Who's number two right now
in point differential in the league?
Minnesota?
Minnesota, man. I got score.
We want to pick, okay.
Yeah, no, no, no.
And I think Kyle said it.
These guys are a hater mode.
They're haters. They hate the Chiefs.
They hate the Vikings.
Yeah, they moved the ball well.
They had some red zone issues.
Hey, Kevin O'Connell's an offensive guy.
Jefferson, Addison, Hawkinson,
have struggled to all be healthy at the same time.
They have.
Jefferson.
some time, Addison missed some time,
okay, Hawkinson,
Kyler Murray's got to continue to get better,
that team's got, and the identity travels.
Kyleor Murray can continue to get better,
and he still won't be very good.
What do you need him to be?
Well, is it really sustainable, though?
I think they had five touchdowns early in the season.
They've had four touchdowns offensively in the last five games.
Yeah, so here's my question.
Do you guys think the defense is fraudulent?
No.
No, the defense is real, but.
a legit defense. Can you win that way is what I'm saying?
I mean, I think the offense needs to get a little better.
I'd say a lot better.
But I think of the defense, I mean, the defense is not even giving up 14 points.
You got a final way to score 13 points.
Oh, and by the way, going into the week, I haven't checked the stats on this one,
they were number one in the league in turnover differential.
That's important.
Number one in the league internal differential.
Parts.
Parts.
I want to know what life is like, let's say, you've spent some years with,
the lions and they were garbage, right?
Yeah, it was tough.
Like for the teams, like the Chargers that are just having a miserable season
and they're out of it, how painful are the meetings
and the day-to-day when you know you're doomed?
I'm going to be honest with you, man, and this is, again, from that year in Detroit,
it's like it's never ending the negativity that in every way you look at it.
From who? From yourself in the sense of, okay, a lot of football is very,
like is your head, your mental space, probably all sports, ready to go play football,
ready to sacrifice the body, you know, all those things.
Yeah, we were talking about that earlier.
Yeah.
When you have a coach that comes in here and is like, man, like we got to go out here
and put it all in the line.
And you're like, dude, even if we do, we're getting shell today, boss.
You don't know what you're doing.
You don't know.
Hey, you don't know what you're doing.
When it's 3rd and 13, Maddie P, and you've got us impressed man,
we're getting cooked.
We don't got the Johnny's and Joe's, and you don't know what you're doing.
So that's the first part where you're like, man, the speeches don't really hit.
Hey, we don't got the Johnny's and Joe's and you don't got the X's and O's.
We're jammed up right now.
Now the next thing is it becomes like, okay, well, you know what?
Let's play like, and you're putting film out there for the league, which is very true,
which is very, very true because, you know, maybe we can get out of here.
But the tough part is when you come and you're on a team like that,
and unless you are just lighting up the scoreboard.
Like I'm talking lighting it up statistically individually.
Don't nobody want you.
I used to say back in the day,
I remember I said this to this guy once,
the biggest hit I ever took,
and this is not me talking smack,
was in the NFC championship game.
I got like helicoptered into torpedo by Dante Wittner.
It was actually I rolled around and waited for them to throw the flag
and then kind of got off like there was a bit of a cell job.
But I got smoked, headed out the turf.
I saw Wittner,
on the field, he was playing for Cleveland years later,
and he was running his mouth in the end zone.
You know, just fun jabbing.
And he's like, man, don't make me do that to you again.
And I was like, bro, you're in Cleveland now.
This is where careers go to die, bud.
And he literally sat there, looked at me, I was a youngster still,
like, enjoy your last lap in Cleveland,
where it's like, at the time, not now,
but if you played for Cleveland, didn't nobody want you?
If you were a good player in Cleveland,
why is some GM going to go get you there?
You're just thankful to be in the league.
Correct.
You're just playing in the league.
That's kind of what happened to a degree.
It felt like that in Detroit, where it's like, man,
if you're a good, tight end Detroit
and there's a guy that's similar to your
stature but on a winning team,
naturally GM is going to be like, man, this guy played
in the playoffs. This guy had more meaningful snaps.
This guy was in every game.
So it kind of jams you from like a
perceptive perception standpoint, too.
Big time. So to answer your question,
like if you're in the Chargers, it's like,
man, what do I look forward to?
And for me, late in the year in Detroit,
I booked a trip to BAMP.
Don't ask me why, boys, but I always want to go to BAMP.
I never been.
The problem was
I had no one to go with at the time. I'm like, I can't
go. I'm not a solo traveler.
Tough look.
So I did sort that out.
It caused some problems. I digress.
But that was like you had to
put some sort of carrot at the end of the road.
Be like, I just got to get here so I can go to Bamp.
Well, how about you Cleveland Browns today,
man, leading the AFC North?
Like they're five and two.
Yeah.
Defense is serious.
They've got a run game that's been serious.
Watson's played all right.
Like, his credit.
And, like, all four teams in the AFC North are above 500.
Like, we got a race.
And what's weird, though, is I feel like all four teams are not that good.
No, I kind of agree.
In the past, say, if AFC North was like a juggernaw where everyone was like,
wow, this team could make a run.
We're like, if you had to rank that division right now.
I think a healthy Lamar, I probably still.
put Baltimore there, I think.
But that's a big if.
How much longer is he out for?
Well, every week they say
I heard you're a big Aaron Rogers guy. That's the rumor
around here. You're a massive Aaron Rogers
guy. Not as big as Hayes.
Not as big as Hayes. Well, what did you think
of Rogers taking the mic and just shredding
the league for
greed and European travel
and not caring about player's safety?
This is what's like
I would call myself
a bit of a Rogers. Paul. It's just as kind of
like an ongoing bit I have with some of the Jan. Right guys? If you watch the full interview,
he says things at the beginning of it where he's like, I totally get growing the game.
I totally. And it's like, when you watch it in its entire whatever version, you're like,
oh, like, yeah, he's taking a couple shots late, but like it's kind of a good point. And he talks about,
like, hey, you know, they can schedule it this way. They can add it this way. But then it's like
he gets that little heater and that somebody clips it. And he's so controversial where it just is like,
look at Aaron just shredding the league up.
And it's like, yo, that's not really what he was saying.
So I do.
Well, he did say I don't care what player's safety when it came to the schedule.
Yeah, but like his, and I agree with him to a point where it's like, okay, again,
have you heard the whole context?
He was like, hey, why don't we schedule it this way?
So it wasn't necessarily not going to Europe.
It was like, why don't we schedule it this way?
And the reality is I think now that I've kind of transitioned from playing to the media,
is like...
Most hated man in Canada.
Yeah, yeah.
I can believe they put that
had that headline on there, man.
Who wrote the subhead?
It's a great click, babe, man.
You got a hit on it.
Toronto Sun, right?
What an article about you?
Steve Simmons.
Steve Simmons.
I shot him a note.
I don't know Steve super well.
You know, I actually really quite enjoyed the article.
I'm in a bit of hot water, mine.
Oh, anyways.
Are you quoted in that a bunch?
I have not read it yet.
I saw it right before we came on here.
99% of the article
is actually about like my weekly schedule.
I'm helping it, Gwelf, the NFL,
the NFL, the CFL.
There's a couple lines that have been taken out of context.
You got Aaron Rodgers.
Blame the media.
I mean, if you read the article, it's a good article.
You can't blame the media when you're in the media.
Yeah, listen, I got no grives with the thing.
But it was funny, I hit him up.
I'm like, dude, I don't know how it works.
I'm like, why would you write that I'm the most hated man?
That's the editor.
And he said, no, dude, this is kind of how it works.
It's like he, I hope he's not mad if you're quoting me.
he said it's a twisted art.
You know, that's like some other guy at the sun.
Oh, it's brilliant.
And he's like, so now people are like, why is he hated?
But I think the article's kind of loving.
Well, generally, the clickbaits, like.
Parks, it is, a nice order.
I'm reading it tonight.
I'm going to read to my kids.
A little nighttime reading.
This is my friend.
He's the most hated man in Canada.
I thought it was going to dive in.
I thought it was kind of a lovely article.
So the premise of you being the most hated because you've been outspoken about the CFL in particular?
You know, it was funny.
And Simmons is a.
big CFL fan. He is. And I put
a tweet out there, you know, thanking the
thanking everybody. I obviously was in the boot this year.
Yeah. And I would say there was a lot of
really nice. Even people that were once
like very anti-my
opinion on the CFL were very kind.
There you go. You know, facts are facts, man.
Okay. Well, and we got
what are we got, the Argos playing the Blue Bombers,
right? That's the overdraft showdown. Your home and your
second home. We love Winnipeg so much. Bob
Irving, probably watching right now.
Your boy. That's my new guy. That's your guy.
Bob Irving. I've never personally met. I don't think I've ever interacted with him,
but I know you two had a real problem.
We had some issues. And now you guys have water under the bridge.
This is what I'm saying. This is great.
We've got to get to whoever writes the headlines of Toronto Suns got to go back and edit that thing.
Okay. Most loved man.
Most loved man should be the opposite way. Yeah.
But that's not going to get as many clicks. See, that's the reality of it.
I got a feeling that that article's probably ripping right now.
Yeah. Oh, it does, man. Believe me, we can speak some experience.
I can't say it yet, but there's some big announcements coming tonight.
two night.
Yeah, there's Argos stuff.
No, not about that.
Well, about the playoff game.
I got to keep it hush-hush right now.
Oh.
Winnipeg versus Toronto.
Okay.
Unless this article jams me.
What are you?
Are you in the booth for that now?
Oh, I didn't get selected, man.
I've rose my hand.
I put me in the booth.
They said, get out of here.
Yeah, you got to get out.
Playoff time now.
Right?
Okay.
Well, you're rookie.
There's, yeah, you know.
Okay.
So who's in there, Glenn Suter, and.
Gway, no, goat those guys are great.
Yeah, Dwayne.
I was just hoping to crack into one semi,
There's a big announcement coming later.
Is that right?
I'm very curious.
Big announcement coming later.
CFO or is it about you?
It's about the CFL with, I can't say.
All right, I know.
I'm just like, what are you going to be?
Deputy commissioner or something?
Like what's going on here?
The commissioner, man, I'd be, I'd be nuked out of that office.
No.
No, you got, Stu would put up a guard for you.
Because I'd be nuked out of that office.
Yeah.
Okay, now I'm curious.
Yeah.
Because I saw the Argos issued a press release today saying big,
announcement coming up about the Argos.
Well, I'm assuming that Dave Naylor said
Chad Kelly signing. I'm not an insider.
Okay. So there you go. Yeah. It's got to be
Chad Kelly, I would assume. Okay.
All right. I look forward to that. Who you got in that game,
by the way? Well, I'm on the board. We're taking the point.
I'm on the Eagles tonight. No, I'm talking about the
CFL. Oh, yeah, go ahead.
Argos. This is the record. Hayes and Brow on the Eagles
tonight. Yeah, yeah. Argos.
We're in good shape. Bombers. No, you're not.
Tanner McKee. I bet you're going. Argos' bombers is a weird one, because
I don't know the health of
Zach Kalaris.
I would, you know,
he's got,
I believe it's a neck thing
he's got going on.
If he plays,
I'd be pretty heavy bombers.
Even with Drew Brown,
Drew Brown obviously cooked last week
to kind of end that thing
got in the playoffs,
I probably lean bombers still.
But the wild card is Chad.
Like,
Chad,
when you watch his film,
like I would argue that
him and Davis,
Alexander,
have like the two biggest arms
in the league right now.
And Chad,
is just like, when I was a kid, my dad was a Packers fan.
I think you knew that.
I grew up a Lions guy, unfortunately.
But when I was a kid, we watched, like, Packers games in there on,
it was like Brett Far of, like, gunslinging.
Like, Chad Kelly's, like, the CFL, Brett Bar.
Like, he's just back there.
He'll throw five picks.
He'll throw six touchdowns.
You don't care.
Like, he just, and I respect that about him,
or it's like, I'm back here.
He's got a huge arm.
He can make throws really out of the pocket from, like, weird angles.
That's another one.
He doesn't even have to set his feet.
a lot. Like a lot of quarterbacks that get
out, they have to like, okay, shift throw.
He'll be like, no problem. Like, angles,
weird, bodies off, ripping it.
And in that league with that field,
and he's got some great receivers, four guys
at a thousand yards, like,
you can make a lot of plays.
This just smells Argos Great Cup.
Argos Elks in Calgary.
Dude, every second or third year, they just
bottom of the basement, Great Cup.
Yeah, sneak in, and then they win.
Yeah, all day. This is a
they're nine and nine. It's a classic
Ricky Ray Gray Cup.
That's what it was, man.
They'd go 9 and 9 and they'd find a way to win.
BC versus Saskatchewan.
Yeah.
I know.
BC had a slow start.
And they got cooking.
Finished on fire.
Yeah.
And the defense is humming.
They stopped the run well.
But you do wonder, like,
Fast has gotten healthy at the receiver position.
Trevor Harris is still unbelievable in that league.
Like, I could see an upset there.
I could.
All right.
Well, we'll see.
I will tell.
All right.
Hayes and Bro taking the points tonight.
That's a crazy thing.
It is, man.
I'm not laying four and a half on the Cowboys against anybody right now.
They were playing the Chargers at home.
I take the points.
This is the game.
The Cowboys won't go in there and drill them.
They will drill them.
We'll see.
I still think Siriani's a better coach.
Like, you know, like, and they've lost four in a row.
Yes.
The guys want a Super Bowl.
It's been to two Super Bowl.
But look how far they've fallen since the Super Bowl.
And the Jalen Hurd stuff is problems.
And the offensive line is an issue.
I'm telling you.
I don't care who's playing tonight.
What happened in the NHL?
Real quick, parts.
What happened in the NHL if you found out that one of your teammates had blood clots
and they were claiming that he was okay to play?
There'd be serious questions with whoever didn't do the proper research.
Like there's got to be.
Which is not Nick Sirionic in the record, right?
That is true.
But like Wayne Johnson retired.
That's the leader of the team.
That's a weird one.
You traded your starting right guard.
Your starting quarterback now has like one of the craziest medical stories.
like that locker room.
Eagles money line.
Eagles money line.
All right, Luke.
We're waiting for that big news tonight.
Big news coming to night.
We'll break it down tomorrow.
I'm Luke Wilson.
