Hello everybody and welcome back to the B1 podcast with Matt and Tommy.
Straight into it.
Another race week is here.
Tommy, you just look like you fell out your chair with that one.
What happened?
What do you mean?
I was startled.
I was just happily waving.
I was happy to be back.
I looked over to you and just saw, so I thought something would happen.
Maybe I was a bit too loud for this morning.
No, no.
But welcome, everybody.
We are here.
Hungarian Grand Prix week.
a very different circuit to the Sparfranco Schomb circuit that we have just left.
Now Tommy, first and foremost, how are you?
How are you feeling ahead of this circuit that I feel quite excited about?
Me too.
Underrated Hungary.
It has that perception of, it's Monaco without the walls, which it kind of...
Everybody tick off your bingo card.
Bingo card, there we go.
But it is, but it's also delivered really good racing as well.
So I like it.
Right, we're going to get into some news before we get into our predictions.
Some things news, some things just to talk about in a little bit more detail.
The first thing.
Now, we've had our choice opinions, haven't we, on the regulations this year?
Certain things that Formula One have shown and not shown.
Well, George Russell was very vocal at the end of his lap one Belgian Grand Prix.
He said, and by the way, this was not played in the race.
broadcast and was not even shown in the radio rewind on the YouTube of Formula One themselves.
He said, I'm out.
What the F happened with the SOC, which means state of charge, down the straight.
I had no effing battery down the straight.
Guys, unacceptable, uneffing acceptable this whole weekend.
So they, F1.
Yeah.
Well, no, that's not what anyone wants to hear.
We want to hear.
I love 2026 regulations.
We don't want the most dramatic team radio probably of the season.
And I'm sorry, but you could argue that it's not even,
he's clearly got a problem with his car
because Antonelli's driving off into the distance.
So for them to be so paranoid,
if that is the reason that they've not played it,
there's rumours that it's also too cursive.
But then, as you say,
but then at the same time, they can just bleep it.
and they have done before.
So for me, it kind of undermines everything Formula One is trying to do in this new era
of creating the drama and everything about the drivers and stuff,
because that is the most spicy and extreme team radio we have heard in a very, very, very long time.
So for them not to play it is insane to me.
And it's them getting their little cotton wool and rle and red,
wrapping up these regulations to try and protect them.
But the reality is anyone that wants to find this will because it's been posted everywhere
and you almost create a bigger story by not playing it during the race itself because
everyone's now talking about it on the run-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix.
But hey, I guess the casuals won't have seen it if they're on social media.
I mean, a lot of people thought it was AI because they hid it because it's like you could
in theory manipulate that radio.
but it is, it was actually, you know, it was broadcast, it is real.
It was broadcast.
It appeared on Germany, yeah, a German TV for some bizarre reason.
Well, surely you can find it because everybody has access to all the team radios and stuff like that through F on TV.
So they found it through that as well.
And for me, I don't really understand this because George Russell, unless I'm misunderstanding what he means by this,
he's sort of shouting at his team, no, or is it Formula One?
Because it very much sounds like his team.
I think he's shouting at his team and Formula One are like,
well, that's kind of us as well because he's talking about the battery,
therefore we won't play.
But that's so weird because literally during the same race,
McLaren said, please no yo-yo racing.
So make your mind up.
Hey, but that's fine, right?
Because that is not because of the battery.
I'm kidding.
Of course it is.
But yeah, it's a strange decision.
Of course, it's one that they made on the fly.
They clearly went, no, we can't play that.
and tried to...
George is probably very happy
that it wasn't played.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, because George,
clearly his frustrations came to a boil.
Of course, he's out of the race.
He's going to be full of adrenaline
at the start of a Grand Prix,
and he's going to say something that
he clearly felt deep down
in a much more angry way
than he usually would.
So these are Formula One drivers.
You can't really hold it against George
for having a go at his team,
because clearly he felt very frustrated
for a couple of weekends,
and it came to a head
when he went spinning into the gravel
after contact with Hamilton.
So, yeah, but the bigger stories.
I'm using that, by the way.
Oh, no, yeah.
They're going to clip that up and pop that straight in.
In the trailer.
Straight in the trailer.
Maybe.
Maybe.
Yeah, so strange decision from Formula One, but are we surprised?
Another bit of news is that Fernando Alonzo, yes, he is still racing guys.
I know that it might be, what, is he?
Oh, yeah, he's right at the back.
He's said that the regulations will decide his future, not Aston Martin improving.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
You're telling me
if the regulations improve,
but Alonzo's still five seconds off the pace
that he's going to go,
guys, but I like the regs, though.
I'm a stay for another year.
I'll stay and go to another team,
if he even can.
But he just,
he says a lot of things,
doesn't he, about his future.
And he said before,
before we even had this whole Aston Martin mess,
he said, well,
if the Aston Martin's really good
then I can just retire after a year
and it'll be fine but if it's not I want to hold on
and then you kind of go
no way if Alonso gets a really good car
is then going actually I'm going to bounce
Lance Drol you have a title next year
it's fine
so I don't personally think
I think there's always in the back of drivers' heads
about the regulations
and whether they're a kind of enjoyment
of the sport but Alonso is there to
to compete, isn't he, at the end of the day?
And he wants to be competitive.
And hopefully they are, because we don't know yet
if they're actually bringing their upgrades.
Surely they are.
All the hype is that they are.
So they can't turn around at this point and say,
well, they can, but they will get heat
for having to wait another Grand Prix before we're heading to...
A whole summer break, yeah.
Yeah, before the summer break.
So fingers crossed, because I'd love to see
just what they have created.
I'd love to see a little P-14 from Fernando.
I'd love to see them just be able to battle Cadillac,
you know, really, really be competitive at the back of the field.
Other things to speak about quickly is that McLaren are bringing their macarena wing
for testing in free practice one, and then I guess they'll make a decision as to whether they
like it or not.
Interesting that that's being brought in.
Of course, they've clearly been developing it for a very long time since seeing the likes
of Ferrari and Alpine, I think, do it.
Alpine, is it technically a macarona wing, although there's just a disappearing wing?
Anyway, they were, clearly McLaren have put it into the upgrade system, but I find it interesting that they're introducing it just as Red Bull are getting rid of it and there's this whole sort of debacle over whether they're even safe or not and the FIA are questioning that.
McClaren are like, hey, we'll join the conversation because we've been working on it for the last couple of months.
So interested to see how that one works, just how much gap it has. Is it going to be a Red Bull-esque one?
Is it going to be completely different to what we've seen?
And McLaren are also bringing a redesign.
floor as well. So big upgrades for McLaren at the Hungarian Grand Prix and still linked with
McLaren Piastri not driving in free practice one. Leonardo Forneroli is taking his spot and then for
Hass you have Hirocarwa in for Bearman and Alpine Aron in for Colapinto. Is it me or do we feel like
we have a lot more young drivers coming in during free practice this year? Maybe it's the fact
that it's more at the start of the season.
They used to do it.
Maybe everyone kind of did it at the same time in something like Barcelona.
And then everyone did it at the end of the season.
I think it was Mexico.
A lot of people tended to use that kind of allocation.
But maybe it's just me,
but it feels like we've seen a lot of young drivers swapping in already
this half of the season and kind of different races to what we usually get.
They're just trying to tick off their allocation early
so that they could maybe focus on the,
car a bit more, I don't know. Of course,
Piastri, I think, will be a little bit miffed that he has to give up his car for a whole
hour when there are so many upgrades being brought to the McLaren, but of course these
things... Yeah, they're like, you know how you got your engine problem in last time out in
Belgium? Well, this time... We're going to simulate that.
You can, yeah, we'll do it again. No FP1 for you, please.
So yeah, I think Oscar will be like, ah, I really would like to just be driving, but of course
these things get locked in a long, long time ago.
Right, let's get into predictions.
It is currently 33.30 to Tommy.
Only three points the gap.
And it is my turn to go first.
Feel good about this weekend.
Oh, okay.
I don't.
Zero points on its way.
Okay.
A good surprise.
I am locking in.
Lando Norris.
Okay.
I have a feeling that Lando could even challenge for the win this weekend.
I really do.
You know, SPAR was,
and some people question it in driver ratings
some people question a lot of things we do in driver ratings
but one of the things was around Landau's performance
but I honestly think
had the race gone better for him with strategy
and of course not having that 10 place grid penalty
he's easily on the podium
and genuinely I think he could have challenged for the win
if you think about... He was right up there at the start
yeah he was right up there
you think how close Charlerc was
of course he had the luck of the VSC
but Kimmy couldn't get away massively
and Landau's pace was
was truly exceptional.
We go to Hungary where
where McLaren are bringing
upgrades and things like that.
And I really do think
that they will take a step forward here.
They have been sort of hyping this up
as a big weekend for them.
And look, I've been sold. I've been sold by it.
So Landon O'Rest is my good surprise.
Good surprise. I have gone for
Alex Albin.
Big risk going for Williams,
who of course
have not had a great season.
The battle for P-15.
A lovely little Q2
and locking this in.
No, I'm joking.
But we'll see.
We'll see.
I've gone for Alex Halban
because with the sole logic
that Williams were pretty good around Monaco.
This is Monaco without the walls.
Ding, ding, ding.
No, you can't say it again.
Stop it.
I'm going to say it a million times.
You should get an electric shock
every time you say it from here and in.
Okay.
And the thing.
with, I nearly went for Fernando Alonso.
We don't know if they're running the upgrades.
So that's a risk in itself.
And also Alonzo is really good at around the Hungaro ring.
You haven't gone from him though.
I haven't, but I've gone for Alex Alburn because, you know,
Williams are rock bottom at the moment.
They're having a really bad time.
And anything remotely special will be having conversations.
will we okay well i won't be listening i'll tell you that right tommy big flop
okay this is why i'm not confident about this whole week big flop i've gone for
mercedes because it's monaco without the walls and mercedes get all their
loveliness from the fact that they've got the best power unit on the grid despite what
the FIA, particularly with what Kimmy's doing. He's able, you know, you watch the, the onboards
from around spa. You go to these, these tracks where they're kind of energy starved. And Mercedes
are really good. They're able to, you know, do things with their power unit that even McLaren
with the same power unit can't do. Yet Hungary is going to be a track similar to Monaco where they can
actually push more. And we're not going to see things like super clipping, hopefully,
hopefully not, and all this, because there's a lot of breaking zones, short straights,
they should be able to push a lot more. And the opposite to Alex Elbin, the bar is very high
for Mercedes. So even them doing anything not good. But it has to be both of them, of course.
So looking forward to George Russell winning the race by two minutes.
well
what did you go for
I had also gone for
Mercedes BFat
so I've had to change it on the fly
as per the P1
predictions regulations
I also wasn't particularly
confident with it
but I thought
you know if there's ever a time
maybe this but then
you know you keep saying
that dreaded phrase around
Monaco and I'm not going to finish it
because I might get an electric shock
but Kimi Antonoli won Monaco
so there goes that long
So my big flop instead,
Audi.
I've changed it on the fly.
Audi went, hey, guys,
we've got some reliability now.
We're doing okay, apart from Holcomburg and qualify.
But we can finish races.
Portoletto, scoring points.
Audi, I'm sorry.
I had to change it on the fly.
I wanted to go for a team to try and get two points.
And so I thought,
what better than an easy double DNF for Audi
and my F1 fantasy team
is cooked once more
so yeah I've gone for them
I nearly went for McLaren actually
but then changed it
when I saw they're bringing upgrades
so yeah
and you went for Landa good surprise
I did
if you'd have flopped McLaren
that would have been wild
I could have just written
zero points for you
immediately before even the start of the weekend
watched them have the worst weekend of their lives
yeah
okay
poll position
okay hear me out
oh no
Poll position for the Hungarian Grand Prix is
Fernanda
I couldn't even finish his name
Imagine
My poll position
Sherlock Claire
I think it's
Not even crazy
Absolutely possible
I was going to good surprise Ferrari
But I was like no no no don't do it
Don't go all eggs
Into that red basket
I can't do it
And I do genuinely think Lando is going to be right up there
And that's my kind of logic is
I think Ferrari will be really good.
I think Lando, I'm not sure on Oscar right now.
His season's been a bit up and down.
And also he's kind of come out and said
that basically his performance is linked to
whether the software works.
But I kind of thinking,
I think Ferrari are going to be good.
I think McLaren will be quick.
Then that's why I was going to flop Mercedes.
Okay, maybe they actually will beat them.
But anyway, back to Charlerc,
back to pole position.
Charlotte's back, all right?
none of this rubbish around him being washed.
I don't hear them anymore.
I can't see that comment.
Of course, he had a terrible run of races.
I'd probably be looking at the end of the year going,
why could you not have just scored 30 points
across those four or five races
and you'll be world champion right now?
But look, this is obviously a little bit delusion,
but I don't think as delusional as I have been in previous times.
So Ferrari, look, they've got a very strong chassis.
and I think it will work very well around here.
So fingers crossed,
Charlotte Claire pole.
Come on, baby.
Well...
You were going to go for it as well, weren't you?
No, I wasn't.
No!
It's quite funny.
But it's still delisional.
I've gone for Max Verstappen.
I've gone for Max Verstappen pole position,
a track where you can actually push around, hopefully.
We see.
How far we've fallen.
Yeah.
because yeah we've seen races where qualifying has been horrendous this one won't be that case
you I know I'm saying it a million times so you can electrocute me now but Monaco is the most
comparable circuit to Hungary and Maxa Sapan was so close to pole position around that track he
nearly did it so so close been his best performance of the year in qualifying so that's the
the logic there and charl obviously had a really good performance at monaco as well so that's where i've
gone that's where but but it is but Ferrari is a great shout as well of course with the the
chassis and and this is the the logic that we've clearly both kind of gone for here of like will
Mercedes not have the strength that they have had before can't wait for the one too
oh it's happening it really is it really is the minute we think that they've got a weakness
There is no logic to this.
As much as we think there's logic,
Monaco just defies all of that
with actual evidence that Mercedes
are good everywhere.
But hey, we can live in Dreamland, right?
There is a chance of a championship challenge
from outside of the Mercedes camp.
Well, before we get into our top three,
I wanted to mention something actually
that, you know, it can't be said enough
how absolutely insane it is this year
that one, we've not had a Mercedes one, two,
China back in March, which we thought this predictions championship was in the mud.
Based on what we saw, we thought it was going to be two Mercedes and a Ferrari every single
week and it's going to get quite repetitive and boring.
Instead, you know, we're now at round 11 and we have not had one single repeat podium
the whole season.
This is insane.
The same three people have not been on the podium the entire.
Yeah, Russell Antonelli Lecler, Antonelli Russell Hamilton,
Antonelli-Norris-Piastrii, Antonelli-Hamilton Vastappen,
Anteley-Hamilton Vestappen, Hamilton-Vosthappenely,
L'Claire, Anteux-Aponlea, Antelear, Vestappenely.
So it's changed every single week.
If everybody's the same as me, my brain just fried at you reading all of that out.
So if anybody actually was able to figure out whether Tommy is correct or not, please let us know.
But you could read that last year and be.
Norris Piestri Vestappen.
Norris Pistam.
It was the handbop there, wasn't it?
Yeah.
Kind of, that kind of race, wasn't it?
Where it was either McLaren won two.
And that's what we thought it was going to be
at the start of the season.
But thank goodness it's not
because it makes predictions a lot more exciting.
Okay, so let's go to third place, shall we?
Tommy.
Third place I've gone for Charles Leclerc.
There was quite a lot of
at the end of it.
Where's the Charlotte?
LeCler.
Charlie LeClerc.
Charles LeCleclerc, however you want to pronounce it.
I have gone for Charlotte LeClair because Ferrari surely going to be good around here.
The best chassis out there that people are still saying it should suit them down to the ground,
although we did think that in Monaco.
But I do think, yeah, they should be strong around here.
LeCleur, of course, has improved form massively.
after the Silverstone win.
I know it's only a run of two races,
but we were thinking,
you know,
can he turn it around?
And he's clearly found some more confidence.
I always believed.
I always said he'd come back.
And here he is.
Interesting.
My third place is not Charlotte,
Clair.
It is Lewis Hamilton.
Lewis is a bit of a question mark
as to how good he would have been.
A few moments, of course, in Spa.
I think he would have been right up there
with Shal had, firstly, he had not crashed in practice because he looked quick, and then having
the contact with George, which sort of scuppered his race from there as well. So I'm not on this.
Lewis Hamilton is now, you know, behind Charlotte-Clarigan. I think he's definitely got a great
performance in him and Hungary might well be that. So I feel quite confident with the third
place. We'll see. You know, obviously I'm still going to back my boy, Shal, or am I? Let's see.
But I've gone for Lewis P3.
In second position, I am going for Lando Norris.
As said, with my good surprise, I think LN will be very quick round here.
He's had a phenomenal season.
As much as it's insane to say that with him being fifth in the championship,
but he's having a great season for what actually is underneath him.
Of course, didn't start in China.
Yes, he's only 11 points ahead of Oscar,
but he's also been plagued with issues, as we say, every single race weekend.
If McLaren are able to take a step forward with this upgrade package
and also not fall apart and Lando with a fresh-ish engine,
let's see what can happen, P2.
Nice. P2, I've gone for.
Max for Stappen.
A poll to P2.
And my prediction is still alive if I'm not winning a race.
I can't...
His percentage ratio is going to come towards Charlotte.
It's going to come crashing down.
Yeah, I've gone for Max P2.
He's definitely building towards something.
Red Bull have improved a lot.
The Stappen's looking a lot closer
to being able to challenge for victories
and certainly podiums.
They're just not quite there yet.
I'm less confident about my prediction,
as I was maybe at the start of the season,
that the Stappen's not going to win a race this year
because there's definitely an opening there at some point.
I think this season
it's just whether
it gets the good fortune
and Red Bull can deliver
but I'm going for Max P2
intriguing
Tommy who have you gone
for the W
P1
I've gone for
Lewis Hamilton
I nearly went for good surprise as well
for Lewis Hamilton
I think he's an absolute
master at the Hungaro ring
he's so good around there
has been amazing around there
his whole career
it's a circuit he loves
remember him winning in that horrendous McLaren in 2009, getting a pole position out of nowhere that
time when Mercedes went all there. And I think Hamilton's going to have a great weekend. So again,
Ferrari suited should be to this track, surely, surely. And yeah, Hamilton first.
Wow. Okay. My P1.
We both think a Ferrari is winning.
Charlecler.
Wow.
Come on, baby.
P1, P2, last couple of races.
If we throw three good VSCs out there, we can do it all.
We can win.
Charles LeCler, P1.
No, you need a new kind of safety car this week.
He's had the safety car ending and then staying out.
Okay, we'll have a good red flag.
We'll have a red flag for a bird on track, and Charlotte won't have pitt.
Yeah, and he's like, yeah.
If he was to pit, he would come out in seventh.
So then we'll just throw a little red flag.
He can change his tires, start from P1.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's not forget as well.
You know, I know that especially in our live shows, you like to take the Mickey,
that Charlotte Claire had a generational P1 to wherever it was last time we were here.
It was last year, right?
When Charlotte Claire, was it?
Yeah, yeah, you got pole last year.
Yeah, he did get pole last year.
Yeah.
And then finish like 40 seconds off because things went drastically wrong.
So Lecler got an insane pole position last year
We're in a car that did not deserve to be there
I remember shrieking that the McLaren's were down in that middle sector during qualifying
And let's just let's believe in it because I think Ferrari have got a much better race car this year
That if Lecler is in the lead especially around a track like this
He could hold on I beg
We had a yeah I forgot I forgot about qualifying last year
It was absolutely epic wasn't it from what I remember
I mean, this is an insane thought that last year, Lance Stroll was a tenth off pole position.
That's a thought.
That is a thought, isn't it?
My God.
Yeah, it was such a strange quality session, wasn't it?
Hopefully another one.
This shows the massive gaps that we used to have.
Lance Stroll was 1.10, 0.12 off pole position, and he was.
sixth.
Wow.
Yeah, yeah, that's crazy.
Crazy.
Yeah, it was a really weird end to the session where some drivers were able to improve
and others weren't, if I remember correctly.
So hopefully something crazy like that.
I'll be looking forward to that for sure.
Let's now go to P-WAT.
P-WAT.
Where we randomly do a number.
Tommy does anyway.
He ferociously loads up the website.
And we have a number between four and 22 generated.
And I think it's me to go first.
It is. So I'm going to hit generate and I'm going to let you know and you've got to decide quickly.
You've got to do it really quick. Really quick. Really quick. Really quick. Really quick. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Bortiletto. Oh, that's going to go for car signs.
I was going to go for signs as well. That's crazy. So no disrespect to Bortoletto. I don't think he's actually going to finish 19.
No, I think it's a DNF. It could well be a D&F. Oh, that could be Charlotte. I actually did. I went for Alex Alvin. My good surprise.
because I was like, cover both bases.
Cover who actually having a good race or his car breaking down.
See, I've very much risked it with Bortoletto DNFing,
whereas signs with a stinker of a Williams car could genuinely finish somewhere there anyway.
That's annoyed me.
I should have gone for a Bortas or a Perez.
What am I doing?
That's just true.
Yeah, because that could be just last of the runners.
But they're not going to be any higher than 19th.
Damn it.
That's the beauty of doing it quickly.
of doing it on the fly.
One crazy prediction.
Tommy, over to you.
My one crazy prediction.
You're smiling.
I know it.
I know it.
I know what it is.
Because I've written it down as well.
You are, God, I want to swear at you so much.
Why are you muting yourself?
I want to hear you giggle.
I have gone for Mercedes-don't-get-pol position.
Oh.
Oh, it's not the same.
Mercedes-don't get pole position?
Yeah.
When's the last time they didn't get that?
they've had a poll position all year every single track didn't lando get pole in a sprint uh sprint
they're poll every single place this year every single grand prix yeah oh wow that is quite the
i'm now just ferocially going through being like is there okay all right fine okay that's so funny
that's so funny because i thought i thought you'd clocked the easiest one crazy prediction from a
conversation we've already had.
But I'm going to do it.
You know, I was also nearly.
My one crazy prediction is that we have a repeat podium for the first time this season.
Okay.
When you said that, I was like, he's going to, he's going first for that one, but I guarantee,
I'll just write it down anyway, but he's definitely going to go for it.
And then when you started smiling, I was like, you're going to just say it.
And you didn't.
Wow.
This is when flipping Alex Albon gets a podium.
You get good surprise.
It's not even, because who, who.
Who have you gone for?
Who's your top three again?
Charlotte for Landon Norris, Lewis Hamilton.
Yeah, so that would be a different podium.
So would mine.
Oh God.
So there's a chance.
Yeah, there's a chance.
But yeah, so what I was going to do, if you're interested,
was that I was going to say, Astor Martin, make Q2.
Yeah, I'm surprised you didn't go down the Aston route.
I thought you were going to get surprised them.
I'm like, no, don't be, don't be like that.
Because there is some hype towards it.
So if they gain three seconds and they're just knocked out in Q1, that's not a good surprise.
If they gain three whole seconds.
Yeah, of course, that's what I was thinking about from Spa, where they were six behind.
But yeah, okay, a repeat podium for the first time.
It's what I have locked in.
That's good prediction.
How about our Patreon prediction?

You can tell that I am absolutely stalling for time because I've not picked one until right this second.
Because I was going to do it.
I looked at it and then I didn't actually lock one in.
Let's go with Sarah.
There are no Mercedes on the podium.
Oh, that's mine.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I was get, yeah.
Okay, I've gone all in on.
That's so fun.
funny that I was like I he's not going to go for it because we have so many suggestions I'm like surely he's not going to go for that one yeah no I've gone it all in on the Mercedes-a-washed okay so while you while you find one I'll just I'll read out some other ones from our wonderful P-1 patrons that we could have gone for Meg Laren said botas bowling 2.0 savage
piper said first lap collision um imperium says there's a safety car on that one due to a crash uh share says astermarton doesn't bring their update to Hungary I don't know about that one
Yeah, does that one even...
It's not really like to do with the racing,
which I think is what we like to do it with.
Hasley finishes P6 or higher.
What are you going to go for?
No, I just want to read this one.
Captain Obvious has gone for...
Crofty makes a pun at some point during the weekend
about someone being hungry for something.
A win, good result, good race.
That's an easy point.
So I won't go for that one.
I will go for Joey's top eight in qualifying
and not from the top four teams.
Okay.
I think that would be, well,
I guess Hadjar technically didn't qualify
with the engine penalty.
Yeah, no talk of engine.
You wouldn't do an engine drop deliberately in Hungary.
You'd be absolutely insane too.
No, no.
That covers that one.
Okay, there you go.
Locked in, done and dusted.
It's over to the family top three.
It is currently 9-7 to the Gallagher's.
We are romping a way.
way some might say.
So let me call my dad, who I said to him, I'll be calling him about half an hour ago.
So let's hope he's not digging in the garden, because that's what he said he might be doing.
Hi, Dad, have you put down your shovel?
He haven't started yet.
Okay, fair enough.
Sorry, sorry, I'm a bit later than usual.
Welcome to the Hungarian Grand Prix family predictions.
We are nine seven ahead.
Can we continue this run of form?
What is your third place, please?
Charles.
P3 for Charlotte Claire.
Okay. P2.
Louis Hamilton.
All right. You are disowned.
And in first place.
Okay.
I'm in fair.
It's the first time we've mentioned Kimmy Antonelli winning, which is crazy considering his run of form.
All right.
Interesting.
I went for, who do you think I went for, P1?
Charles.
Yes, you are.
All right.
Thanks, Dad.
Love you.
Bye.
Bye.
I love you.
Easy, man.
Wow.
Am I that predictable?
Apparently yes
Okay, I'm going to give my dad a call
Oh
Freddy!
I don't think we've spoken to him since
Since Albon
Ghazly.
Obviously I have
But imagine
This is your only catch-up with your dad
It's on the podcast
Oh come on
Oh come on
Come on dad
Is there thinking
Who can I
Yeah he's not laying
What really a obscure driver
Can I go for
No come on
Oh dad
Come on please
you even agreed.
Nah, this is great.
This could be a minus one point for the bellegums.
If they don't pick up,
it's like, who wants to be a millionaire?
If they don't pick up,
you can't answer the question,
you know what I mean?
I've ever happened on you want to a millionaire.
I doubt it.
But it's happening on the P1 podcast.
Oh my God.
I'm going to ring my mum and she.
Wow, yeah, ring your mum.
I ask the phone to my dad because...
And if not, oh no, your mum did last time, didn't she?
Yeah, no, Grace did last time.
Grace did last time.
There's the option to you.
that I would
not
and if not
you're
fielded my dad
for a while
generational
top three
I'm enjoying
the different
dial tones
yeah
if not
you can ring
my mum
I just
my dad is just
text me saying
okay
when I said
calling soon
but I heard the little
ping
but you didn't answer
what
what is he
talking to you on
WhatsApp
when I rang him
on WhatsApp
Parents and phones
are
yeah I'm sure
people can relate to his parents and phones.
He just says, son, calling.
Hello.
There he is.
How's it going?
Hi, balloons.
Hi, Matt.
Hi.
Oh, good, thank you.
Good stuff.
Oh, you're playing bowls.
Okay.
Is that why he didn't pick up?
Can you find that way he didn't pick up?
I'll have a break.
I'll have a quick chat.
Well, that's excellent.
Hold on before he starts.
Oh, Matt wants to say something.
I've just sort of a generational idea.
Okay, so my mum also plays bowls.
So I think there needs to be a Gallagher versus Bellinger.
Oh.
Okay, so Matt, Matt says that Matt's mum plays bowls as well, so we need like a Bellingham versus Gallagher's competition at some point.
That's it.
If there's a tiebreaker in family predictions that decides it and we'll live stream.
Fully live streamed, yeah, yeah.
Amazing.
Okay, Dad, I think this is the first time you've done your predictions since the Ghazley one in Monaco.
So I'm looking forward to a little Aunt Stroll P3 prediction from you, so we'll see.
Can you give me P3, please?
so shall i go brave now you've told me that
we're not no no no no we're too behind we're not right
okay all right then i'll stick to the original okay charles said
okay
oh was that your mum saying something about going second
oh no we're not going to catch up now it's the same as matt's dad
don't say antenelli no why would you tell him
Were you going to say Antonelli?
My dad would be honest.
Well, it wasn't going to be Antenelli.
Oh, my God.
You can't bet against me.
Is that really boring?
Oh, my God.
What do we do?
That's exactly the same.
That is exactly the same with my dad.
That is exactly the same as Matt's dad.
That's just killed the...
Is it allowed?
Is it like allowed a complete refresh of the top three?
We have to do it.
We have to do it.
Complete refresh of the top three.
See you after the summer break.
Yeah, exactly.
It's the same.
It's identical.
Yeah, Matt's agreed to a complete refresh.
P3.
Okay, I'll go off.
Oh, no.
Hadjar three.
Okay.
I nearly went for Hajar, actually, P3.
I love it.
Go on then.
As I'll say,
yeah,
Anton Eli second.
Yeah.
And Lewis to win.
Okay.
What about that?
Perfect.
Thanks, Dad.
All right.
All right.
All right.
Speak to you soon.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Wow.
Well, that's the first time that's, I can't believe that's the first time that's ever happened.
And also that as the top three is quite, you know.
It's not, yeah, it's not like we're in that kind of Mercedes one to every single time.
Hamilton and Head of Leclair.
Yeah, it's an interesting one.
But, yeah, went for a rogue, hijab, but I don't think that's outrageous.
What, to beat for stop and no, I wouldn't say it's outrageous either.
Ooh.
Okay, dokey.
That is that done and dusted.
Let me just look at the channel.
championship. How far's LeClaid behind Hamilton?
What? Not that far. Like 33 points.
Okay. No, that'll be eight come the end of hunger.
When he wins, yeah.
Okay, cool. Well, look, Charlotte Clare is, yeah, 78 points behind Kimi Antonelli,
as everybody will be talking about coming into this weekend before the summer break.
Tommy, final thoughts?
Final thoughts? Join us for the watch along.
Of course, in quality, because I think it's going to be a really, really good qualifying
session, I'm going to hype it up and say it's going to be one of, if not the best qualifying
session at the end. That's my bold prediction. I didn't ask you for a bold prediction, Tommy.
I asked you for your final thoughts. It's going to be Kimmy Antonelli on poll by half a second.
Watch this. Yeah, but come and join us over on Twitch and YouTube. If you haven't joined us
for a watch long, come and try it before the summer break. We have a lot of fun. Community is
amazing there. And remember to get your P1 live show tickets as well. As I have
have said in watchalongs and whatnot, just to let you all know if you don't know,
we are probably going to have a year off next year from live show touring.
So come and see us.
This is your chance for the UK tour.
We're not going to do it at the end of next year.
So we would love to see you there for the last time for a little while.
We just confirm that.
I am confirming it.
I think we, you know, let's just confirm it.
We've locked in.
We've both discussed it.
So there you go.
Breaking news.
Matt and Tommy not touring for a year.
I'm sure that will be BBC.
news headlines. So there you go and get your tickets. We'd love to see you there for our UK
tour. And of course, we're really looking forward to coming to Zandvort as well in August. So
lots of love. Take care. Adios. Bye. Goodbye.
Oh, the tickets are going to be flying off the shelves now.
Oh, I've ordered 20 for myself. Oh, no, please don't. There'll be empty seats.
I just got to lie down.
And then what? Watch you.
Oh, father. Match it.
