How excited am I to talk about?
Riverdale, I'm way too excited.
How are you guys feeling?
Riverdale.
Riverdale.
It's Riverdale and Riverdale.
I'm so, so excited to be back in the saddle.
Oh, my God.
This, okay.
Where can you begin?
So, can we maybe begin where hopefully not just me, all of us began?
Because I did watch the last few episodes of season two
shortly after having had a baby.
and I was very confused about life.
But when the opening scene of season three started,
I was like, what the fuck?
I felt very similarly because I've been rewatching,
I've been watching season two with my boo.
And we're around like episode 12,
and I was just like, God, where this season goes is ridiculous.
And when we started up on this episode,
I was just like, good Lord.
I tried to, because I do delight in watching the episode
and then trying to explain it to Carolina.
And she told me, she's like,
it sounds like you're trying to describe a dream
that only makes sense to you.
Yeah.
It's like a good, it's like a good,
I'm glad that that's what you do
because I feel like, you know,
when you're like, with education,
there's kind of like different levels of understanding
and one is if you can explain it back, you know,
and another is if you can teach someone else.
And I feel like when I'm like watching Riverdale,
I'm like, I'm in the moment right now,
but if you asked me to explain what was going on,
I would absolutely not be able to do it, you know, and I'm sober, like absolutely sober watching these things.
So the big thing that starts off with, the fucking murder trial of Archie Andrews, first of all, who wears a fucking bowtie?
He was looking cheeky.
Question two, who has their mom be their criminal defense lawyer?
I'm going to bump that question up to number one, honestly.
Honestly, can I just throw in a number three?
Why was there no air conditioning on in the corner?
Great few. Great few. It looked like they weren't fried green tomatoes.
Never addressed. Why? We don't even know what region of the country Riverdale is in.
It seems to be not Riverdale the Bronx, but like maybe adjacent to New York because they're like talking about going to magnolia cupcakes.
It's not in the South. Why are they, I mean, why are they, why is it like fried green tomatoes?
Oh, sir.
Lord, I may not know. Hold on.
about big city.
But also, no, apparently right across the trees is Quebec.
So, you know.
No, it is upstate New York.
It is.
Yeah, yeah.
It's definitely upstate New York.
It's definitely further north than the Bronx.
Than, like, actual Riverdale, which is in the Bronx.
So it's like they just took the name of a place that is in the north Bronx and just moved
it up an hour or two.
Yeah, moved it up an hour or two to an oddly isolated town whose only sistering city is where
the witches live.
Yeah, bitches.
Oh my God, I can't wait for Sabrina.
But that's a whole other conversation.
So much happened in this episode.
And question four concerning the trial.
Why were both attorneys closing statements only about 45 seconds long each?
Yeah, you know.
I got to tell you, watching this episode with a criminal defense lawyer was fantastic.
He was apoplectic.
Yeah, please.
What did Gideon have to say about the?
the trial. I would love to hear. He was just like,
I was like, oh look, his mom is the defense lawyer. And he was like, pardon me?
And then like when the best part was when Archie, who was a murder suspect,
first degree murder, right? Yeah, first degree murder suspect was just like waiting in the
hallway during the break. Like, just waiting in the hallway, just like hanging out with his
friends like, oh, I guess I got to go back in. You know, they definitely just let murder first degree
murder suspects, just like chill outside.
Like it's a test break, you know?
Where's our capital murder suspect?
I don't know. He's hanging around with his friends.
You know, everything's fine.
He wanted to have a couple minutes with his friends,
but can I just take a quick second to spotlight Jughead's outfit in that courtroom hallway scene?
Pretty good outfit.
Pretty good.
Oh my God, Jughead in this whole episode, just like, good Lord.
Let me be your serpent.
I'm going to say this episode definitely a no shirts episode.
Uh-huh.
Yeah, there was not a whole lot of shirts to be worn in this one.
I mean, not even just to jump to when the four of them are in Archie's new car and he's
just driving carefree without shirt on.
I was like, oh, hell yeah.
Who needs a shirt?
There ain't no top on that car.
I hope he had some sunscreen on.
And by the way, when the DA is like going through and like talking about like Archie's
history is a violent felon. I was like, you know, she makes some really good points.
No, that part was sure. No, he's definitely, he's done, he's done some stuff. Yeah, yeah. I mean,
I'm not, I'm not going to side with the DA, you know, on this at all, but I did, she did have
some points about the two violent vigilante gangs that he did start two.
Yeah, and all the different times when Archie, like, when he pummeled a man with two
broken legs, I'm like, yeah, he did.
He did.
He did actually do that.
Yeah, but he was a sexual assaulter.
That guy deserved it.
Definitely.
He did deserve it for sure.
And then on top of it, which I mean, I guess they just couldn't bring in the FBI agent
because that's why I was like, well, what about the FBI thing?
Then I forgot that he wasn't an FBI agent.
He was a plant.
There's a test.
Man, and I also, honestly, throwing it out there completely forgot the Hermione Lodge had become the mayor.
Until she answered the phone, Mayor Lodge.
I totally forgot.
about that as well.
Me too.
I forgot about that until just now.
And now who's going to be student body president?
Yeah.
Well, you're right.
You know what I had also forgotten about and was pleasantly surprised at, to be honest,
is the fact that Veronica has finally, finally had it up to here with her dad.
Finally.
Finally.
It took you so, it took you your dad trying to destroy not just your boyfriend, but your friend Jughead.
Every single one of your friends.
and like definitely killing people openly.
And Veronica just kept being like,
oh, daddy.
And then finally, when he's trying to frame her boyfriend
for capital murder, she's like,
Daddy, that's enough.
You don't have a daughter anymore.
But you know what?
Go for ha.
Yeah, and of course, that's only after Archie was.
And that's just the funniest thing is that like,
and it's just another instance of Archie being a dumb asshole.
where he is, because, you know, like, I guess
we could go ahead, I guess, fast forward because, you know,
like, let's fast forward to the verdict,
because we can't keep dancing around this verdict the entire time.
So, let's fast forward to the verdict.
Archie comes, the jury comes back because the jury had to deliberate over Labor Day weekend.
Yep, they were sequestered.
They were sequestered, and they came back, and they were deadlocked six to six.
No one's moving.
There's nothing going to be had.
and so they're going to declare a mistrial, and then the DA comes forth and says,
we'll make a deal, he pleads guilty to manslaughter, and he has to do two years in juvie.
Archie's such a fucking idiot. Why did you take that plea, Archie?
And Archie is like, I deserve it. I deserve it so much. I need to, I have to do this.
Ronica, I have to own up to what I did.
No, this is not the hell that you die on, Archie. What are you talking about?
There's so much proof that Hiram Lodge is a mob man.
That's what I don't understand.
Don't you realize there's got to be something.
There's something they could have done in the next trial to prove that he was scared for
his life.
There's so much to do.
But also the best part about that is that Hiram Lodge is like a, he's not like Tony
soprano where if like, you know, if Archie like snitches on him, he's got like a whole
network of people that will come for him.
Like Papa Putin is like the scariest thing, you know?
And Papa Putin's dead.
Papa Putin's dead.
Yeah, he's got no allies left.
That was the whole point of him having to hire a high school kid as his muscle was because
he didn't have any allies left.
Yeah, so like snitch on Hiram Lodge, you know?
Like, again, you are his only friend.
You're a young boy.
You know, you don't have anything to lose.
You didn't even manslaughter that guy.
Why are you taking this plea?
I guess I have to.
Don't do it.
A mistrial is the best.
possible outcome other than a not guilty plea, make him do it again.
Yeah, but also don't worry. He's not worried about getting shibbed. He's just upset because he's
not going to be able to graduate with all you guys. That's what you're worried about.
Have you seen sleepers? I know what happens. Jesus Christ. Yeah, oh, but also don't worry
because once he gets inside Juvie, he's got that savage serpent's tattoo that's going to keep.
him safe.
Yes, yes.
He's going to a juvenile detention center
where apparently a serpent's tattoo will protect him.
I hope so.
There's so many other things.
But just quick side note of just for teen fuckery romps,
how about Sweet P and Josie?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Which he's like, I just said for the summer,
mm-mm, mm-mm.
I know that interest with the summer.
I see the way he looking at you,
and he's got that like the cutoff,
like plaid shorts on, I was just like,
gimme, gimme, give me some sweet
peepness, which
I'm down for, baby.
I want to watch that tape.
I don't know.
I think Josie can do better than sweet pee.
Oh, sweet pee is fine.
He's fine, but Josie's like fine.
Yeah, but Josie's also a little
like, you remember how boring she got last
season where she just kind of became a nothing character?
Yes.
I guess they're trying to build her back up again
to do something with her.
but still, I don't know.
Josie's just fine.
They're going to have to do something with her
to really get me back on her good side.
She was great in season one.
Agreed.
And then season two,
she pretty much just became a foil
for the telltale heart.
Yeah, after she got the pig heart.
Yeah, after she got the pig heart,
and then she was just kind of scared all the time,
and then she was just kind of beaten down
by her mom all the time.
And so I guess this is their ploy
to make Josie a little more interesting?
I don't know,
because maybe now Josie will get brought into the serpents.
But you know who I was just so excited to see, like I always am, was Cheryl Blossom.
Good.
Lord her and T.T.
Cheryl in this episode was...
She's living her best life.
Yeah, Cheryl was definitely on top of...
This is, I mean, once again, the hottest high school in the entire fucking universe.
Yes.
Yeah.
I mean, especially at that pole party, my God.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, my God.
when she was sitting with T.T. on that, like, fuchsia,
Shay's lounge, and they're both in their beach, like, their pool party outfits.
It was like, my Lord, can you imagine the summer of passion they had?
A summer of passion, three months, riding their motorcycles across the United States.
Good Lord.
Come, coming, coming, coming, coming, coming.
They're so hot.
And, you know, I'm really glad that, like, the whole Cheryl Blossom being read right,
herding hood thing kind of just came out of nowhere.
I will say of all of the plot lines that came from absolutely nowhere, that is my favorite.
Her being a skilled archerist is pretty, it's like always a surprise when it happens.
I was like, wait, what?
Did we know this?
And then I, and then Giddi was like, I think we did know this.
But it still does really feel like a kind of slap in the face every time you see that she's really good at archery.
Yeah, she's really good at archery, but damn is she a loose cannon.
She is.
Woo, she is.
Yeah, when she got that beetle juice looking googly.
I will throw it out there, though.
The goolies outfits pretty great.
Spot on.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm down for Penny.
I like Penny a lot.
Yeah.
Although, I'm not down for anybody kidnapping anyone's dog.
No.
Thank God that dog was okay.
Did we know that the dog's name was Hot Dog?
That was one of my favorite lines of the whole episode.
It's the Goolies Jughead.
Those bastards have hot dog.
Which does feel like a line that would be in the actual old comic books, you know.
Yes.
That is like, because at first I was like, wait, who's hot dog?
Is he a serpent that I don't remember?
And then they're like, and they're not feeding him enough.
And I was like, oh my God, it's the dog.
And they're not feeding him enough.
And the fact that Jughead got all John Wick and this, yes, please.
They would not stand to have that dog chained up and not fail.
enough. They had to go and get him. I like the two that they did really, I appreciate the fact that the
gooies didn't do anything to hurt the dog per se, but the fact that they didn't, they were fading
them. Just not enough. He was hungry every day. And that's not something that Jughead will stand
for. Absolutely not. So I got to ask the two of you. I know you are, I was excited when I saw this,
but I'm sure the two of you are also pretty excited as well. After Archie is,
off to Juvie Hall and Fred comes home and who's waiting there for him.
But Kevin's dad and Jughead's dad, Daddy's club going to set him free.
Daddy Brigade.
Ride me like a horse, Daddy Brigade.
That Daddy Brigade, especially like even when FP was doing the tattoo on Archie
and he's sitting there and for some reason, I don't know when he decided to cut the sleeves
off of his serpent jacket
and man
sleeveless serpent jacket
daddy yes
fucking please
yeah but to be clear
in that daddy brigade only
one of the daddies is hot because
Luke Perry
not hot and Kevin's daddy
definitely not hot
yeah Jacket didn't you have a thing for Sheriff Keller
Oh I got 20
things for Sheriff Keller
See Molly you need to rewatch the second season
Because in rewatching it, I forgot about the scene.
When Ronnie walks downstairs and they're like kind of intimating that maybe Sheriff Teller something to do with it.
When he's like, and you just hear that like, ugh, ah, like downstairs in the basement when she's just going to go get a drink.
And he's working out and he stands up and you're just like, hello.
Yeah, he's doing like his naked weightlifting in the basement.
And him and his little suit in the trial to Humble, Humble, Humble, Humble, Humble.
Is he still sheriff or was he shamed out of that position?
of his canoodling.
And remember he got,
he got shamed out of it
and replaced with one of,
got replaced with one of,
Hiram's dudes.
Highroom's dudes.
Because remember when Veronica had the whole,
was it jury tampering idea?
Yes.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
Just as a maid.
That was a love one.
Also actually acting like a maid
which was like the housekeep.
It's like, where'd you get the suit?
What is happening?
So you're just,
are you acting actually as a maid as well
as on top of?
jury tampering. Also, that was like, she got like 10 seconds into her plan before getting caught.
What is it? And your dad knows you better than you think you do. It's like, so, he's like,
so Veronica's probably going to dress up like a maid and go to the hotel and try to talk to
some of these people. So you should go and set some centuries out. I wholeheartedly support that
she was trying to jury tamper, but it should be known that it is a serious crime. And she definitely
Yeah, but like, you know, whatever.
Of all the things that happened in this episode, that's like one of the least.
But I really, I was curious about what she was going to do to change their mind, right?
Tell her that, tell them that daddy's evil.
I guess, but like, how are they, how, what was you?
It's like, also, going to say, that was like the tightest maid outfit I've ever seen on a person before.
Yeah, she did.
She stole that, took it down to Manhattan.
and got it tailored and brought it back up.
You know, I think that what Veronica could have done
is speak out about her father at any point earlier
than the last day of jury deliberation in the trial
and the murder trial against her boyfriend
because I think that she could have, for example,
spoken to the press.
Press would be a good idea.
Instead of jury tampering, which is, I believe, a felony.
Yeah, they probably should have taken it to the blue and gold
and have the high school write a report,
but maybe it's because they weren't in school.
yet of why they couldn't do that because as
everyone knows, the only paper
that anyone reads in Riverdale
is the high school paper.
That's true. That's true. It's hard.
But it's summer vacation. There is
no high school paper. No high school paper.
Well, but the other paper is the paper run by
fucking Betty's parents, you know, but...
We can't... We're gonna have to...
We can't talk about Betty just right now.
We will get there.
We'll get to Betty here in a second.
There's a lot to talk about with Betty.
So we got to wrap up on everything else that's going on in the world of Archie and Veronica.
I forgot about Betty's entire plotline.
Oh my good Lord.
Oh, my God.
Well, okay, yes.
And everything that happens in the last five minutes, we have to save so much time to talk about everything that happens in the last five minutes.
But, yeah.
Yeah, so basically Veronica's like, of course we're going to keep dating, Archie, you're going to go to Juvie.
I'm sorry, I didn't say anything sooner.
I did try to commit a felony for you.
It didn't work.
I got caught. My mom was like, oh, I'm scared of your daddy too, right? That was a big piece of information.
Yes. But I was wondering, do you believe her or is this just another plot? Good question.
Interesting. Because that's the whole thing. At the end of the day, he can't kill Hermione Lodge
because she's the mayor right now. That is his stronghold and I feel like she's not factoring that
into her protection. He needs her right now. What did you?
She's saying something about like, it's like, I may be his puppet, but I'm not his, I don't know,
something.
I'm not his puppet, but I am his prisoner.
But I'm his prisoner.
That's what it was.
And that's fine and fair, but he can't just off you, Hermione.
You know that.
We know that.
That's why I think that there's another level to that.
There's got to be.
But on the other hand, he could also just offer after he finally gets this goddamn prison built.
Is the prison going to get built?
Yeah, what happened to the prison?
We didn't hear anything about the prison.
this episode. I really feel like they might be throwing the prison out. And so, are you right at some point?
I think it might just be a thread that doesn't get carried. It's got to be because it's like,
it's the whole point of Hiram Lodge's nefarious plan. To take up all that real estate. To take up
all that real estate. Yeah, because that's the whole thing with the prison, although they didn't really
explained why they needed at three different locations for one prison. But,
it for me to, you know, look through the schemes of Hiram Lodge.
Yeah, you know, I don't know what he's doing, but all I know is that I, I feel like he's going to get, he's going to get taken out or incapacitated this, this season, right?
I better, because I don't know if I can trust Hermione.
My instinct is not to, but then again, the whole first season, she was like, yeah, your dad's bad.
Yeah.
Well, I think the lodges, I don't think the lodges are going to get taken out because they need a human enemy.
Like, they need like a real, like how real life.
I don't know
We'll get to the pivot
Here in a second
Oh my God, I can't wait to get to the fucking pivot
You got to get the last thing about this one
Over under how many episodes
Before Archie's out of juvie
One
I think two
Two I'm gonna say two
I'm gonna give it two
I'm gonna give it two episodes
Because I think that her
I think that Ronnie's gonna have to show up
With cupcakes at least at one point
Because she's already threatened her cupcake bringin
So I think that we have to see her bringing
cupcakes and hopefully hope, hope, hope, hope, hope, get some sort of conjugal visit.
Because it was pretty great for them to all be, you know, like, fucking around a campfire
out in the open, which that's what you choose to do?
Yeah.
You should be.
You can fucking your own homes, apparently.
Why are you fucking out there by the fire?
That's pretty hot, though.
The teenager thing, you know, just make out in proximity to other teenagers.
Yeah.
I guess that's true, but we all know that that's not fun for anybody.
Maybe I'm just too old now.
But I do want to throw out just a quick shout-up before we get to the pivot of when Kevin was thrown out to Moose about the fuck pact.
Yeah.
Remember when they were at the pool?
Yeah, when they were at the pool, like the virginity pact, right?
Uh-huh.
So I guess, but that's the thing.
I always assumed that Kevin and Moose had fucked by this point.
Yeah, I mean, Kevin was definitely cruising, but maybe he was just making out.
Yeah, maybe he was just making out.
I mean, Kevin and what's his name?
Snake Eyes?
Who was his serpent boyfriend?
Oh, yeah, that pretty boy.
Not wolf, not sweet.
Wolf rearing?
I forgot.
The one that was the assistant director to the play.
I completely forget what his name was.
I forget too.
So was Kevin saying that they were both virgins or just that Moose was a virgin?
I think that he was just saying that Moose was a virgin.
I thought that Kevin was saying he was a virgin too.
Yeah, I guess that's what the pact has to be, right?
Oh, that's so sweet though.
I just want to watch a tape.
That's all I'm excited.
All right, so is it time to talk about Betty?
We have to talk about Betty.
Okay, so could I tell you what I said in the middle of the regrets?
In the middle of the episode, I said, wow, I'm really glad that even though Betty has an addiction to Adderall, they're not pulling a, I'm so excited on this.
And Gideon was like, what?
and I explained the Jesse Spano,
I'm so excited, caffeine pills thing.
And I was like, I'm so glad that they have, like,
Betty being, like, a normal person
who's not totally tweaked out,
but also is perhaps struggling with her relationship with Adderall.
That's real.
Fast forward to the end of the episode,
and don't I look like a fool?
Because something really happens with Betty and her mind.
Well, it's nice that they finally address,
the Adderall Addiction, what, 28 episodes after they,
maybe 30 episodes after they first mentioned it in the first episode.
So the very first episode of the entire series,
they mentioned the Adderall Addiction goes completely unnamed for until now,
the very beginning of the third season.
That's separate from the painkiller addiction that we thought Fred Andrews was going to get
that he never got, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally separate.
Yeah, the painkiller, that didn't go anywhere.
But the Adderall addiction we thought, because that was the whole thing.
That was the big unnamed thread throughout this all is that Betty has an Adderall addiction.
And apparently she does.
And apparently does it cost her to see babies floating and giving her seizures?
And give her the convulsions?
No.
As someone that has gotten off of Adderall, I know I wasn't hallucinating and having convulsions.
I was very angry all the time
and I was tired a lot
but I never saw babies floating
but that leads me to believe
that bitches I don't think that was no hallucination
I don't think it was I think there's something real weird
going down on the farm
Edgar
Edgar
What do you mean it's that hallucination though
Did this show just
It's not even drumming the shark
If we just went into actual
I mean so it's like
It's kind of the last five minutes we take this turned down true detective road, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Where there's like skulls and like...
Please, Molly, the gargoyle king.
The gargoyle king, come on, can we?
For a minute.
Dilton Doyle and his buddy Ben, yeah, have uncovered the gargoyle king.
Definitely a true detective type of thing.
Oh, yeah.
And also floating babies.
Because it really is like, like Betty has, like her entire plot line throughout
the entire series. Like, first it's
unsolved murder, then it's a serial
killer, and now
it's a paranormal cult.
She really has a hard...
Yes!
I love this!
Yeah, Betty's got the last podcast
storyline. She's, like, hitting
every... Like, next season,
she's going to, like, battle a ghost or get abducted
by aliens. Oh, my God.
I mean, right, so
we... Right. The question
The million dollar question is, was the Adderall causing her to hallucinate the floating babies over the fire?
Nah.
Or have we now entered a world where some magic is happening?
Yeah.
I think we get in paranormal.
Oh, bish.
Oh, bish.
Yeah, because, you know, Sabrina is right over the river.
You know, and that's where all the magic's happening over there.
So it's possible.
I don't know where the farm is.
What is it called Greendale?
Like maybe the farm is near Greendale.
and maybe we get a little bit of crossover action.
Maybe they're going to be bringing a little bit of magic into the old Riverdale.
And I'm totally down for it.
As long as it's sexy and dumb like Riverdale always is, I'm in.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
And I do wonder if the Gargoyle King has anything to do with all the many shawls that Alice Cooper is now wearing.
Because I don't know if you guys notice a shift in her outfit choices, but now she is Stevie Nix.
And that happened real fast.
So I just wonder if the gargoy king is forcing her to wear these outfits.
I also did notice an alarming increase in the number of dream catchers in the Cooper home.
Oh yeah, baby.
A lot of dream catchers because they're drinking their oolong milk and their burning diaries.
Didn't Alice Cooper say something in this episode like, that boy chip?
I love that.
Like, that chick person.
There's a lot of like, you had to deal with it.
with a lot of stuff last year, Betty.
You had to deal with your father.
You had to deal with that chick person.
It's like, the three of you murdered someone together.
And you murdered someone for a whole year.
And didn't they murder him too?
How did he die again?
I couldn't remember it because chick had become such a non-entity
by the time the second season ended.
How did they murder?
Oh, well, yeah, Betty murdered him by basically setting him loose to that
guy who was the killer.
Didn't?
Yeah, but no, they had to clean up the body, though,
inside of the house.
Remember with all the blood?
Yeah, they murdered that other guy.
Yeah, that was the other guy.
Yeah, that was the other dude.
They kept using that guy's phone in public.
But then,
but then Chick was like, oh, yeah,
I actually killed your real brother
by like not helping him in an overdose.
Yeah, he was having a jingle jingle,
jingle, overdose.
Jigle jingle, oh my God, I forgot.
I've completely forgot about the jingle jingle jangle at this point.
Oh, my God.
This show is perfect.
It's perfect in every way.
When I started seeing those babies float, I was just like, done.
I actually clapped to myself because I was so excited.
I was just like, Riverdale, you have met not only what I needed, but just broke the mold of how I ever possibly thought this episode was going to end.
Yeah.
And then when, you know, Juggett's about to go to his best friends like,
murder trial, the verdict, the big day.
Dilton Doily comes in and Jughead's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, just hang out here.
Just hang out here.
It'll be fine.
Oh, yeah.
Gargoyle King, sure, sure, sure, sure.
I'll be right back.
And then Jughead comes back from his buddy's murder trial, finding out that his best friend
is going to go to Juvie for two years on a manslaughter charge.
He is immediately distracted by a new caper.
Like, just immediately has like a whole new caper to set his mind to,
grabs the D&D map, puts it up to the Riverdale map,
goes out and finds Dilton Doyley and his buddy Ben
in a total true detective, weird, ritualistic,
almost murdered.
They're not murdered, right?
They're still alive.
No, they're still alive because he was coughing up all that shit.
Yeah, coughing up all that green shit.
And then the babies float.
And that's where we are.
And I can't wait.
Can't wait until tonight when we get to see the next one.
And we fade out on Betty's very realistic seizure.
I, but so, but then, okay, what do you think that the Gargoyle King, you think that the
Gargoyle King is Edgar, or do you think that they're going to end up taking both of these
plot lines and making them two completely separate ideas?
That's the, that's really, that's the important question.
So let's, so if we're doing that, then let's look at all the different plot lines.
we'd have going. So we had Gargol King and the farm. That's two plot lines right there.
Then Archie in prison. That's third plot line. Again, we know that's going to be resolved
very soon. That's going to be resolved very soon. Yeah, yeah. Archie and, well, Archie and Juvie,
and then you've got Hiram versus Veronica. That's another one. Then you've got the whole war with
the Gullies. Gulley's going to be coming up from the south side up to the north side. Oh, they're
coming to the north side, baby. Oh, yeah. So that's five that I can think.
of right off at the top of my head.
Did we?
And also, essentially Penny versus Betty as well,
because now Penny openly has said,
she's coming after Betty.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And this serpent queen is a warrior queen.
And forgive me, because this is going back
into the last few episodes of season two,
and again, it was a bit of a haze.
Is the book totally closed on the Black Hood?
Yeah, yeah, it's how.
Yeah, yeah, it was how the whole time.
And there's no way that that's going to,
I'm just afraid it's going to come rearing
its ugly head back, you know?
Was there a thing at the end of it,
where it's like maybe it's not how.
I think they closed the book on that, right?
Did they?
I mean, that's the thing.
With Riverdale, you can't trust him,
but we'll consider that book closed.
Yeah, we'll consider that.
Are we also,
because remember that, you know,
the Blossom brother came back
last season as well,
and he's out, right?
Like, didn't Cheryl pretty much take care
of her whole family and now she just owns
this huge estate that she throws parties on now?
And just kill people with errands.
See, I feel like that Hal slash the
Black Hood is going to come back with something to do with the prison and Archie being in Juvie.
Oh.
Right?
It could be.
Or the Black Hood could come back because that's the whole thing that we've been talking about
this whole time is that one day Hiram Lodge is going to end up in the prison that he himself built.
Yes.
It's a checkoff.
Yeah, yeah.
You can't mention the prison in season two and not have the architect of the prison end up in the prison by at least season three.
Guns on the fucking mantel.
We're ready for it.
We're ready.
But that could be where Hal comes into play.
Like, Hal comes in.
Although, remember Hal was in the local prison that had the underground glass-walled Hannibal Lecter cell?
So he might be just hanging out there for a while.
I don't know if he's going to be actually sent to, like, a federal.
I mean, that's the other thing, too.
It's like, why are you going to send the serial color to a federal supermax in, like, Colorado?
That's keep him in Riverdale.
No.
Keep them in Riverdale.
Keep them in the small town.
You don't want him getting too far.
just in case.
Where his family is.
Because his mom was mean to him, I think, right?
I think it was that his mom was mean to him.
I can't quite remember his motivations.
But I think it was that his mom was mean to him.
I think his mom was mean to him.
I am so excited to see what they're going to do with those babies.
There's some sort of power or something that they're putting into those babies.
Are they going to sacrifice the babies?
I don't know.
Well, I don't think they're going to sacrifice them because now these are floating fire babies.
Yeah. I mean, right. Who has the power? Is it the babies or is it the sister or is it Alice Cooper?
I like that. What if the babies are the ones that have the power?
And again, speaking Alice Cooper, how are we going to get her and FP together out of all this?
When are they gonna fuck? I can't believe it hasn't happened yet.
FP must be saving her from Edgar. It has to be. It's got to be something like that because we've all seen the pictures on the Instagram.
We know that Fallis is going to exist in this season.
And I can't wait for it.
But also, like we talked about on page 7 last week,
Gina Gershawn is going to come in as Jughead's mother at some point.
And I'm really excited about that as a shady businesswoman.
So maybe she's going to be the one that comes up against Hiram Lodge.
I have no idea.
Also, third question, though,
why is Molly Ringwald going back to Chicago right now?
Immediately.
What?
I guess my son's in juvenile detention.
No reason for me to stay and be part of his life.
I'll just go back.
And I hope that hot dog is okay.
Hot dog's fine, right?
He was to sleep under the trailer.
Oh, my God, hot dog.
They got hot dog back.
The dog was a wonderful dog.
There's just so much that could happen.
And I think that it's going to have some sort of drug or something to do with it.
Because what was etched into the back of Dilton and Ben's backs in front of
the Gargoyle King statue.
I think it might have been
some made up bullshit, but let me consult my books.
Let me consult my runes.
I need you to.
If anyone can know it's you, Marcus.
I'll crack open my encyclopedia demonica.
We need you, Marcus.
We need you here.
We need you.
So we might have some clues as to what the rest of
of this half season is going to hold
because it looks like they got nine episodes
before the season goes on hold for a couple of months.
So next one is
Fortune and Men's Eyes.
That's episode two.
That's Chapter 37, excuse me.
I have to go for the second.
Chapter 38 is as above so below.
Chapter 39 is the Midnight Club.
Okay.
Chapter 40.
And this, I don't know,
this might give us a little bit
of insight to what's actually going to happen with Archie. Chapter 40 is the Great Escape
and Chapter 41 is Manhunter.
Chapter 40 is The Great Escape. Chapter 41 is back to juvenile detention.
Back to juvenile detention. Because there's no way he's going to be able to escape.
There's too many people. He's like, he's got bright red hair. He looks like an idiot.
Everyone knows it's Archie.
Hey, watch out for that idiot. He's getting away.
Chapter 42, the man in black.
Chapter 43, outbreak.
And chapter 44, no exit.
Oh, but also outbreak.
I wonder if they're going to dose everybody.
There's going to be some sort of drugs that have to do with Edgar and the farm.
Yeah.
Because they were coughing up that green stuff and also the way that Betty was convulsing.
I wonder if she's being dosed herself.
She might be.
That's a very good point.
Yeah, that's a good point.
Yeah, it might not be a paranormal thing at all.
be hallucinations, but not because of the Adderall.
Because I think next episode, we're not going to hear anything about Adderall.
Just take another like 36 episodes until we hear about it again.
Maybe.
At most, they'll say it's like, you're taking too much Adderall.
That's why you had convulsions.
Uh-huh, yeah.
But also, I'm very interested of how a 16-year-old was able to forge a bunch of prescriptions
for Adderall.
And if she could let me know how she's doing this, because that's kind of awesome.
I'm very concerned about how these 16-year-olds are able to do a lot of things.
Like, for example, is a 16-year-old allowed to, like, take a murder, like, take a plea deal?
Yeah, without consulting his mom lawyer, you mean?
Not really sure about that, but also, I'm, I thought that, like, you couldn't have a parent, right?
Be your lawyer and that kind of thing?
No, I don't think, I don't know, like, I don't know juvenile law.
Yeah, but he, right, he was an adult court.
I mean, I was.
tried as an adult. Right, he was being tried as an adult. But they still sent him to
a juvie. They were just like, you know what? We're just going to offer this totally
different deal. And based on a totally different system, which is family court. And don't even
talk to your lawyer. Just say right now in front of everybody whether you're going to take it.
Yeah, yeah. And also just had the DA just come up with that off of the top of her heads.
Hey, time served two years in juvie, manslaughter, whatever. No meetings. No, just get it done.
No, they just made it up. They just, they're all.
making it up and I can't wait to see what they make up next.
I agree. I'm so excited for tonight. I'm so happy to be back here with you guys to talk about
this because the second I finished it, I was just like, I'm home. This is me. This is my home.
Riverdale is my home. It's everything I've ever wanted and more. So we'll be back next week
with Chapter 37, Fortune and Men's Eyes. Oh God, what's going to happen?
What's going to happen?
I can't make us also all the pictures that Alice Cooper is posted on Instagram as well of her in like the full out serpent gear.
Man, shit's going down this season and I'm here for it.
I love you guys and I hope that everyone is enjoying Riverdale so far.
And yeah, next week we're going to be back.
Indeed.
