Welcome to Second Helpings.
My name is Jackie Zabrowski.
And I'm MJ.
The story of the week may have been Sam Neal's death,
but the second helping of the week is Mr. Fantasy's life,
because Jackie was in the same room with Mr. Fantasy less than 24 hours ago,
and I've heard nothing.
I said, don't talk to me until we're recorded.
And I didn't bring it up at all because while I am dead of brain and dead of mouth,
I am definitely alive in spirit, MJ,
and I know that everyone has been begging me
to just live a little bit more fantasy.
But if you want just a little bit of what Mr. Fantasy is given,
sometimes you got to open up a button.
And sometimes you got to open up another button.
And sometimes, MJ, you got to open up another button, MJ,
and we're singing, and we're singing,
and then we're singing, and then we're going to open up another button, MJ.
And sometimes when you are on YouTube, what are you going to do now that I'm on YouTube and I don't got a shirt on?
I don't got a shirt on.
But I do.
But you think I don't.
And everyone is going to look and they're going to think that person doesn't have a shirt on with their six pack of abs.
Or eight pack.
It depends on how many you want to count.
But I will throw it out there, MJ.
All Mr. Fantasy had to do was go like this.
And people would go, ah!
And you'd go, uh, and they'd go.
and they go
and all he had to do
was demonstrate
his abs, his glistening.
Oh my God, MJ, it was
insane. I'm going to throw it out there.
Our amazing producer, Adam,
and one of my best friends,
surprised the
hell out of me yesterday.
And I wouldn't say,
y'all know I've been exploding
out of my bottom ad out of my top
and they also knew that I was exploding out of my bottom and out of my top.
And they were like, we understand if you don't.
Once I found out what it was, because I was like, just cancel an Adam and Sam tonight.
I'm not like really feeling it.
And then Jeff asked them if he could tell me what the surprise was.
And I was like, I'll do anything for Mr. Fantasy.
Strap a dipy on me, boys.
I'm going to the top.
And I did.
I didn't strap a diaper on me.
I didn't have to, though.
See, we've been talking for so long about diaping up at concerts and saying it's unnecessary
that we talked ourselves into an explosive diarrhea epidemic where it actually now makes sense
to type up for concerts.
And so if you had dived up for a concert at this point, I think that's probably the responsible
choice.
I just spoke to a friend yesterday who said that she had it.
And she was like, oh, oh, I think everybody's getting it, MJ.
I think everybody's getting it.
And this is the T from her.
And she was like, it wasn't bad, but it was very sudden.
And she said, if I hadn't been at home, it would have, we would have had a real problem
on our hands.
Real, real difficult time.
And I think that that is a piece of information that I hadn't really sat with,
especially as a New Yorker who is often not close to a bathroom if I'm out.
So I just wanted to bring that in a precarious situation.
Yeah.
And I, you know, about your shirt also, I have to say that I noticed at the top of the show,
I was like, Jackie doesn't usually wear a button up shirts.
You know, MJ, I say.
I said to Jeff
earlier, I was like,
I bet MJ's going to bring up the fact
that I have a button up on.
I wonder if they're going to notice
and bring it up.
And then I'm going to have to be like,
oh, I'm just dressing up for the show today.
So I was already,
I was like, in case you had,
I knew you would notice.
I was like, if you had brought it up
and I was proud because, you know,
it's good, this is good for us to remember everybody,
that we're always being like,
ah, I don't want to be perceived
every second every day.
And we are perceived every second.
every day. But sometimes, you know, you have to remind yourself, nobody's looking at you.
Nobody's thinking about what bit you're about to do. Nobody's going to... Although in this case,
I was looking at you, but I wasn't thinking about what bit you were about to. But you weren't
thinking about it. I trusted you. Thank you. I trusted you to just be sincerely wearing that shirt.
That was just merely for fashion. Now, is this, this is not like a Mr. Fantasy souvenir. This is
just wearing it to reenact what his act was, which sounds like it was just, which is so interesting
because if it was KJ. Epa.
Ah, yes.
If it was KJ. Epa showing off his abs, we would all be like, stop.
MJ, this was, okay, we figured out, I'm pretty sure this was Mr. Fantasy's first live show, like first concert.
Okay. Because I was, I still want to see if there's any tickets left for the New York show.
You should definitely look because Adam, oh my God, Adam got us VIP tickets and we had such amazing seats.
It was, but it was a small venue because of Mr. Vancy.
It was at L.A.
It was an L.A.
which is a historic theater in L.A.
And it was awesome.
But also, MJ, I did really wish you were there because I want to, like, dissect what was going on in KJ.
APA's brain because maybe nobody cares about this, but I kind of find this fascinating.
That Mr. Fantasy, for those that don't know, or if you don't remember,
Mr. Fantasy is KJ. Apa's alter ego.
And yes, that KJ. Alpa, Archie from Riverdale, it is his alter ego.
And if you didn't watch Riverdale Roundup with us, you might be like, who and why should I give a shit?
Which is the correct questions to be asking.
And have you looked at my abs? And if you ask that question again.
He is an inconsequential actor.
See, sometimes you've got to pull up your nipples to show your abs, guys.
And this is fine. This is like, that's how you're supposed to show your.
abs. And this is, you're allowed to tweak your nips on YouTube as long as it's like this.
As long as, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's just show your abs. It's, it's, he's, I cannot emphasize
enough that he is kind of a, uh, uh, an unknown almost, it, a non-consequential actor,
unless you care about Riverdale, which the group of the people who care about Riverdale,
quite small. And I think they all listened to this show. They were all at L. Ray last night,
MJ, they were all there. So that's another question. Who's seeing Mr. Fantasy? Is it
Riverdale fans and Riverdale fans only.
I think so, and it's young people.
I definitely know that it's young people.
And we were, I was worried we were going to be by far the oldest people there.
But Jeff had said, don't worry, I'm sure people will bring their parents.
And we did see, like, most of them were much younger than us.
And I was fascinated because when you watch the music video, so on Jack and every Friday,
we've watched his music videos over and over again.
And why he takes them all very seriously, he has a lot of Zane to him, right?
He's got a lot of Susan in there, little desperate housewives and a lot of like hip, like,
humping and a lot of like big kicks and he's like always wearing flare pants.
Right.
On stage, I wonder if he was having some sort of like character acting spiral because before he has already,
KJ Appa has already put out an album
that flop that nobody talked about
and you can tell he is
a very talented singer
and guitar player
and honestly like genuinely
the backing band was fabulous
because it's very like it's funky vibes
it's funky horny vibes
that it's chill
yeah he's like an Austin Powers
exactly
if he were making like
little sweet like funk ballads
kind of thing
and
he's so dynamic
on, well, I mean, maybe not so
dynamic on camera, but
on stage, he was
fairly
stiff.
And I think that
like he was very into like the musician at, like, it was a
wonderful show.
The music was really great.
But like, you could tell at points he would
like remember to go and like be zany.
And there were moments that like at one point
he like went away and then he jumped up on like,
from behind, like up onto the drum set.
Like, that was really great.
But most of it, it seemed like he was so into the, like,
the singing and the music aspect of it that he kind of forgot about the Mr.
fantasy side of it, which if you, if this is your first time, like,
especially doing that kind of a show after being just a normal musician as well,
I imagine it's a lot to, it feels overwhelming to add.
all of those parts on because I will say
the musician side of it
genuinely fabulous. It was funny
because Adam, Sam, and Jeff
had never really listened to
any Mr. Fantasy so they didn't
really know what to expect.
And all three of them were like, this is
like a bob.
And it's like, yeah, dudes, I'm not
crazy. Like, it is a fun
vibe. It's not just
that it's KJ. Epa,
which, thank God. Because if you were
just going for Mr. Fantasy,
that show you might have been disappointed by.
Well, and this is why I haven't bought a ticket for the show yet,
because while I will do almost anything for a bit,
I must express that I do...
Are you talking about pulling up?
Are you talking about my abs right now?
Yeah, I will sit here the entire show
looking like I don't have a shirt on.
Yes, I will.
You and I both love to commit to a bit,
and I'll commit to the bit and I'll go see Mr. Fantasy,
but I do think that while KJ. Appa is a,
is a fine actor and it sounds like an excellent guitar player and singer.
Excellent musician genuinely, genuinely.
But much like Susan in Desperate Housewives, sometimes kind of an over-to-the-top
zaniness is an expression of like thirst for being funny when you're really, really attractive.
Yes.
For thirst for having an actual sense of humor.
Yes.
You know, and I don't, that sounds meaner than I mean it to be.
Like, Terry Hatcher is very funny.
I mean.
But like, you know what I mean?
Like, sometimes zaniness feels like I can feel you reaching.
And it works sometimes.
And it works for Terry Hatcher and Desper Housewives.
And I think it works for Mr. Fantasy.
But it is just like wacky, wacky, you know, it's like the sometimes there was like funny people in high school where it's like you're funny.
But it's kind of just because you're a, you're beating me over the head with the bits you're doing.
Yes.
And so I was wondering, is K.
A. A. A. A. A. enough. Is Mr. Fantasy enough to sustain a full show? The bit is I'm K.J. Epa.
Dressed as an Austin Powers character singing pretty good songs. And it sounds like the answer is yes. It
sounds like everyone enjoyed themselves. MJ, let me pitch this to you this way, too. Not only was it a
wonderful tight show that it started at 9, it was over by 10.
Oh, okay. I was home by 10.45.
Okay. That's what I'm saying.
This is the thing.
MJ, when your two best friends are like, can you hold back the shit long enough to make it to Mr. Fantasy?
16 minutes.
And you say, yes.
And then I was like when I was home by 1045, I was like, this was the greatest birthday surprise to ever birthday surprise.
It was early.
I didn't have to worry about any of it.
We had a wonderful, beautiful night that I didn't have to think or plan.
at all and I was home by 1045?
Yeah, okay.
No, that's, that's, that's enough.
Because he only has the one album, like,
and it's not even that long of an album.
And there's so, don't worry, there's a lot of soloing,
but he's good at soloing.
And, and I, you know, and I truly am observing,
all the things I said before,
it's more of me trying to synthesize my thoughts about this.
We understand, MJ.
This is a safe space.
I'm approaching this without judgment.
Yes.
Without judgment, are you, like, you have just made.
a way to be KJ. Yappa
doing music that nobody cared
about and you've just made a way to have
people care about it and the way is just
a gimmick and the gimmick is fun
but it's not
you're not Andy Kaufman but it's
enough I guess it's enough
you are enough. M.J.
It is just honestly
it is just trying something.
I love seeing
a like I mean I'm saying
young man but I imagine he's in his late
20s now he's a father Jesus Christ
Jackie.
But I love seeing on it.
Essentially, it's performance art.
It kind of was like watching.
And as somebody that, you know, as people that do shows, I was so fascinated, like,
thinking about his brain space that I wonder, like, you could almost see at points where he's like,
oh, yeah, I forgot.
And then he'd like hump and hump and hump.
And then he'd like go back to the microphone.
And it was almost like he would have to remind himself like, oh, I got to go have fun.
I also like, I'm a serious musician, but I also have to have fun.
But everything that we know about Gigi,
is that everybody said he's very weird.
He's a very weird, earnest guy that has a very weird sense of humor.
And that's great.
And you're right.
We love to see something weird.
We love to see people trying something new in this day and age.
But also, MJ, I didn't realize how much of the character hinged on the fact that he had the fake teeth in his back.
That's the Boston powers of it, you know, where it's like.
have the fake teeth if he's singing.
If he's singing.
So he also couldn't like be the character because he didn't.
And I think that that I wonder if that was like a brain fart for him.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And of course, you know, he's a talented actor.
And that is a different thing than being an experienced stage performer.
And so if he's finding his footing as a stage performer, how special that you got to see it.
I'm happy for him.
I actually think this is a great.
So great. All of the Riverdale actors have had to figure out what do I do after Riverdale.
And that is a hard question to answer. And if this is where you're glad.
Some of them try to be in human, you know, and Cammy Mendez, you know, she's, she's doing it out there, you know?
Yeah. I mean, the ladies are fantastic and dynamic and charismatic performers. And I wish nothing but the best of them.
And Col Sprowse can go suck an egg.
Cole Spouse can go suck an egg. And yeah, I mean, again, before Mr. Fantasy, I would have said,
KJ. APA pretty unremarkable. But yeah, as I'm processing and thinking through this, I am really
happy for him. Right. And I think this is fine. I think this is good. Let's get weird. Also,
if you are wondering if this is the same shirt that Andy Richter wore in Dancing with the Stars when
he pulled off, it's not the same, same one, but it is the same one. When he took off that shirt,
I was like, I have that shirt. What about the shirt that Jake wore when we were on tour when he ripped off
his shirt to make it look like he was not wearing a shirt.
It's probably, you know what it is?
It's like Sisterhood of the Travel and Abs shirt.
And it always was the one shirt.
Yeah, you took off your shirt and then you've got abs and we all have it on and we didn't
even realize that you don't have to do the work for it.
Just pull up your nipples and show them right off.
Yeah, it's very hot here and I did, I was wondering, can you be on YouTube without a shirt
on?
because if we weren't on video, I probably would not be wearing a shirt.
It's me only shirt.
It's very hot.
It's me only shirt.
It's me only shirt.
I love that that is going to be one of the Buffy stems that we take from it.
And the fact that we still say it's me only shirt to each other.
But, you know, God, sorry.
Now, then I started thinking about the duster in Buffy, but we're not talking about Buffy right now.
We're not going to get into Principal Wood.
We're not talking about that right now.
We're not talking about Buffy.
No, we're talking about somebody else's love for once.
Travis and Taylor take a side piece because I know that we are going to talk about the person that made $1,200 selling the trash from your wedding.
But I want to talk about real love.
And it's Tom Dea, okay?
Okay, we can talk about real love.
That trash person is cool, actually.
That's one of those stories where the—
Yeah, man.
Like, the headline is dumb, but the actual art of the actual art project is real cool.
in my opinion.
But yes, let's talk about real love first.
You did say before we started.
It is an art project, you're right.
And it wasn't just someone just going in like a little rat.
It wasn't just a freak.
It wasn't just, yeah, like Taylor freaks collecting her trash.
Like, yeah, like starving little orphans.
It was an artist who makes art by collecting trash from the streets of New York City
and then putting it in a little like clear box to tell a story.
and he did that with the Taylor Trash, and I think that's neat.
But yes, also...
They really framed it, though, as some Taylor freak
that was just going through sucking on all the butts of the cigarettes that they found.
I feel like they were really...
They were just like, oh, my God, some nightmare burns,
and we're just scrolling around in here,
making Ness for their $1,000.
That's how they're pitching it.
And also, I mean, the biggest story of the Taylor Swift Trash resale
is that somebody took an ovulation test,
at Taylor Swift's wedding, which means someone is trying to conceive and doing a test at Taylor Swift's
wedding.
And I must know who it is.
Amongst the Taylor Swift wedding trash was an ovulation test strip, which, as someone who used
them, you'll do it anywhere.
You're trying to find out if you're ovulating.
I thought in my head, I only saw pregnancy tests.
I was like, just when you get home?
Like you brought it with you to the Taylor?
Like, it's like, don't do that.
Yeah.
I mean, I took pregnancy tests in real weird places, too, when I was trying to get pregnant.
But when you're trying to figure out if you're ovulating, yes, you could wait until you get home.
Unless you're going to try to conceive at MSG at the wedding, which is also maybe that's why they did it.
I feel like, I mean, isn't that why you would want to know so that you could go into a bathroom be like, we made you at Taylor's wedding?
Yeah.
And that sounds like a nice idea until you then have like a 10-year-old and you're like, am I going to tell you that you were conceived at Taylor Swift's wedding?
Maybe I don't want to tell you that.
But anyway.
I feel like that's always a thing that like whenever you know, I feel like so many people that have had children are like, you know, the second the spark of life comes inside of you. And I'm just like, as someone that has been always terrified of being secretly pregnant and just fat and not knowing until I have the baby into a toilet, I can't even imagine feeling like that. And I, and so I feel like a lot of parents are just like, I remember the spark of life and you need to know that it was while your father was inside of me at the next game, you know?
I think speaking from my own perspective, it was something that before I became a parent and realized that you're just going to have actual human beings on your hands, the idea of being like, I'll tell you that you were conceived on a beautiful mountain. It sounds nice until again, then you realize like one day you, this will just be a person who lives with you. And they don't want to know, they don't want to know where they were conceived. No. They could go their whole life without knowing.
Knowing that, no, I don't know where I was conceived and I love that for me, especially the people which I guess I am judging when you, I found out someone that I'm not going to say a friend of mine, but a friend of mine's sibling had named all their children after the places where they were conceived.
And I, that is a fascinating choice.
This is a choice for the parent, not for the child.
Fascinating.
No one wants to be at college and be like, why is your name Ashfield, you know, and you know, and you're.
You're like, that's where I was conceived.
Like, it is a choice for the...
That's where.
That's why.
If you're watering.
It is, but it makes total sense when you're like, I'll create a person.
And I created them at Ashfield.
And then, yeah, now you just have...
Now Ashfield has to live with that the rest of their life.
MJ, I made the mistake the other day.
Talk about an embarrassment.
You know, when you say those, when you say something and it's one of those things that you
wake up thinking about in the middle of the night?
And I was at an outdoor beautiful...
little like midday birthday party and like a bunch of people were there with babies and it was just
beautiful and this woman who I had who I know who had a three month old strapped to her and she we were
both like up there making coffees at the same time and um she was like man last time we were
talking I remember you were planning your wedding and I was like yeah it's so crazy I was like but
at least man I was like and I was like oh she's so beautiful it's like at least after a wedding
after all that toil, like, you know, you get a honeymoon and you get to just go fuck for a week.
But after having a baby, then you have the baby.
And she looked at me.
Oh, no, she didn't get it?
She seemed very tired.
She seemed like she was really struck.
Like, it seemed like, then I heard afterwards, like, latching.
I kept hearing the word latching.
And I was just like one of those.
And I was just like, man, that's got to be.
be a lot of work, huh?
And then I finished making my coffee.
And I walked away.
And then I noticed MJ,
she didn't talk to me for the rest
of the party. And I have a feeling
she's never going to talk to me ever again.
And I feel that's just...
You're right.
But like, that's crazy.
Like, it's so much work
to gestate. And then at the end
of it, you have to do so much more
work forever.
To quote Whitney Leavitt, you're not wrong.
You're right.
You're right. It's true.
That's your quote for a wiki 11th.
I love it too.
You're right.
You're right.
And you're right because, yeah, you don't get and you're like, oh, all I have to do is reach the finish line of delivering a baby.
And then the baby's there.
And then you're so tired.
And I know that this like breaks my brain as as, and I appreciate it.
Kara keeps reminding me.
I'm not childless.
I'm child free.
Um, as a child free person.
And I just, I think about how tired I am because I was out until 1045, not drinking.
Like, I didn't, I don't drink.
So it's like, I wasn't out and getting hammered.
I'm just, I'm just tired.
Yeah.
Yeah.
MJ, you're tired all the time.
Correct.
I have been tired every day for eight years.
Nine years?
Eight and a half years.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I just wanted to remind you.
I thought this was good, this was a good opportunity to confess.
And now everyone can see how.
tired I am on camera, which is also good. And you look fabulous, MJ. I think people will see it. And
they're like, oh my God, MJ's flourishing. Maybe that might be like, have those bags. And I'll be like,
don't worry, the bags were there before I had a child. I've always had the bags. Always had the
bags. They're genetic. Yes. And they're cute. Thank you. It makes me look like a member of the
Kalkin family. But I do want to tell the listeners that before we started recording, Jackie did say that
anyone who favors Taylor and Travis's love over Tom and Zendaya's love should be
stoned to death.
And I'm glad I'm coming in with hot takes without a shirt on.
I think that this is a new segment, you know?
And I think we did try hard last week to appease Taylor fans by being like, we like
her music, but this week we're coming in with.
But if, and this is really not an indictment of Taylor and Travis.
It is more of an expression of admiration for Tom and Zendaya.
For Tom Day.
They are two perfect celebrities whose perfection tastes more perfect together.
I love everything that he does.
That interview that you did with him in the other Tom Holland that you sent fucking injected into my veins.
Two cutie patooties.
The historian Tom Holland and Tom Holland, the actor.
They did the like Spider-Man meme of like pointing at each other because people are,
And it's just, they're so cute.
It's so cute.
It's perfect.
And then she is just like, I'm elegant and talented and funny.
Statue-esque, just an absolute goddess.
But then on top of it, on top of all of that MJ, everybody can see that Zendaya and Tom are also just really cool, chill people.
And one of the parts of this, which just makes them very cute.
Now, I don't feel this way about Christopher Nolan.
but I hear you, I hear your screams.
And I know that that's probably not a lot.
I don't hear a lot of screaming probably from our fans, particularly,
if we say that about, like, I respect Christopher Nolan.
I think what he does is, you know, I couldn't, I definitely couldn't do it.
But I'm going to throw it out there.
I don't think I see every Christopher Nolan movie because they are very long.
And most of the time, I'm not bright enough to understand them.
And you know who is?
Zendaya.
because this clip is going viral right now because, all right, let me give you, let me, let me paint the whole story of this for you guys.
Okay.
Zendaya is a huge Christopher Nolan fan, huge.
Interstellar is like by far her favorite movie and the clip that's going around is a video that Tom took inside of their living room of Zendaya explaining Interstellar to Hunter Schaefer on a piece of cardboard.
like she's like drawing it out trying to explain interstellar and hunter jaffer is like following it it's very cute very adorable and for those that don't know zendaya and tom holland are currently in spider man and the odyssey that are about that are coming out within weeks of each other two huge blockbuster movies now spider man zendaya and tom holland were already in it and they have been in it and so they knew that they were even together yeah right and tom
Holland apparently found out about getting the Odyssey the day that Spider-Man was about to start
shooting.
And he was so overwhelmed.
And Zendaya was like, it's Christopher Nolan.
Baby, you have to.
She's like, I will leave you if you don't.
You must.
Like she lost.
Like she was just like, ah, you have to have to.
She's like, we'll figure it out.
I know it's going to be crazy.
We'll figure it out.
I'm so proud of you.
I'm so happy for you.
She was over the moon.
He gets it.
He starts working.
working on it. She didn't know that that even Christopher Nolan was thinking about her for the part
that she's in. And he asks Tom, do you think that she would be interested in coming in to read?
And he's like, he didn't want to bury, he was just like, yes, yeah, I think. And so he was like,
would you, like, float it to her because I don't want to, he didn't want to, like, pressure her.
And so Tom brought home a script. And she's like, oh, is this the script we were reading the other night?
He's like, yeah, but I want you to read this part.
I want you to read this part.
And she just looked up at him and was like,
like, lost her mind that she was even being.
And so he asked Tom Holland to ask her to read for it.
And now she has it.
And she's like, this is her epic beyond dream.
To be working with Christopher Nolan.
And she gets to do it with her husband.
And now they're on, but they're on this huge double press tour right now for Spider-Man.
I mean, right now it's all more on the Odyssey, but it's also Spider-Man.
And I, part of the reason why I love their love so much, number one, the fact that they wanted a secret private wedding and they got it.
And they did that actually.
They figured out how to not have the drones, you know, you can figure that out, I guess.
but also
I love that they are both openly saying
and now y'all I mean she's in Dune
so Dune's gonna come out but she's like then
y'all ain't seeing us for a couple of years
bye
we gotta go we're taking some time off
bye and I
love this for them they deserve it
so much especially she'd just done you for it
like I'm tired I was out till 1045
last night can you imagine how exhausted
they are yeah she has
really not taken a break at all in years, right?
No.
And I don't think he has really either.
So it is so I'm happy, you know, these are the things that we should be supporting from our celebrities.
Like, please go take time off after this.
This is a lot.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I am always extremely happy to see any celebrity who rejects like hustle culture.
And yeah, I do.
I think I like Tom.
and Zendaya so much that I project like all of my values onto that.
Yes.
I'm like they're my best friends and they agree with me about everything.
And they would love hanging out with us.
Yeah.
We're so similar.
Yeah.
But I do really like that.
And I love, yeah, I mean, the Christopher Nolan story that you told is so sweet for so many
reasons.
But I just, and again, because we now know for sure that like the role of Tom Holland performing
umbrella, it just feels like they are together.
in mutual admiration of each other in a way that is often performative for celebrity couples.
Yes.
But like with them, it just seems like you actually see their mutual admiration, especially
because they did when they started the Spider-Man franchise, they were not together.
And so it was like, it's like truly a love born of like friendship and collaboration
turned into romance.
And then like she, her, I mean, he's obviously a star.
but her star, you know, totally skyrocketing, him seeming to be zero percent threatened by any of that.
And especially like he just worships the ground.
I know.
And like even that, that the, this conversation of like, and they both said of when he got into a Christopher Nolan movie and she was only desperately happy for him.
That's crying.
And especially in a, and as some, it's true people that are in the same field and like that has got to be so different.
that that makes me love them even more.
And I'm sure.
I'm sure.
You're saying that there wasn't a couple of nights where she was alone just like,
I wish he had asked me.
I'm sure there was a little bit.
I'm sure there was a little bit, right?
Crying in the shower like to buy a spunk.
Sure.
Sure.
I mean, we're human.
She's still a human being, you know?
I feel maybe there could have been a little bit of that, but we're never going to know about it.
Right.
And what happens in that, like if that is the way.
in which they speak about each other, like you said, MJ, you can't fake that. I know they're both
good actors, but it seems like they're truly honestly, oh, I was going to, I need to bring up
Brinidad because congratulations, we have our winners from Love Island. And, Love Island is over.
They also started as a friendship, MJ, okay? They also started as a, oh, well, we're just kind of,
I guess we're paired up together kind of thing. And,
Trinity. Don't tell me the names I want to guess.
Okay.
Brandon and Trinity.
One of them is correct.
Trinity is correct.
Brad. Brad. Brad. Brad. Branch.
Get better at an MJ. Better.
Brunch. No, it's brunch. Yep. It's brunch and Trinity.
And they are happily, you know, wavowed.
And I hope Brendan.
Yeah, it's Bryce. It's Bryce and Trinity. Yes, it's Bryce and Trinity.
And I'm really, really happy for them.
and I'm also really happy because it does seem like Kada immediately got out of the villa and someone properly did her hair extensions.
It is, I think, a crime.
I know nothing about hair.
I think it's a crime that that poor woman had such horrible extensions the entire time in Love Island and nobody could do anything about it.
Nobody could have helped her look up Kada, K-A-Y-D-A.
And so now, of course, which is Kvah, she's immediately getting all of the
these like extension collabs.
She's getting like hair stuff.
Like she's immediately being brought into because like the second they get out,
they're thrown every deal under the sun.
And Kenzie first went out the gate on Caller Daddy.
She is out and it is so funny because this girl is not PR trained whatsoever.
And she is just saying stuff and nobody's stopping her because it is
it's got to be.
Like, spill it like tea?
Like behind the scenes stuff?
Yeah, just like behind the scene stuff.
But it's more of just like in a way where where she's like, I love sucking dick.
You know, just the way she talks about it is so like, well, you know, okay.
I don't want to say it's good.
It's open.
We're free.
I think that I wonder if it's the kind of thing.
It's just so fascinating to see Kenzie come back.
And it's like I saw something online that her family was celebrating because she,
is back and she's like with her family and she's like drinking out of a champagne bottle and clam
slamming on the floor and I'm just like I would never be like welcomed home from my family
with a bottle of champagne and I'm like clamming in the middle of my fucking mom's living room.
You know what I mean?
Like I can't imagine being like I fucked on there good mom.
Let me clam slam for you.
And we do love, you know, destigmatize.
talking about sex.
Please.
I guess we support it.
Okay, now tell me about Bryce and Trinity.
Trinity looks lovely.
Bryce, question mark.
You say we...
Turtle tongue.
Okay.
Word on the penises.
He's got a turtle tongue, but...
Okay.
Because I know you said the women in general on Love Island were, you know, if not...
Stunners.
Yeah, stunners.
And also like a little bit more thoughtful towards one another, at least compared to the men, right?
And then the men were like in cells light.
Except for Bryce.
And it is really crazy because...
Well, Bryce...
and Carl, guys, I mean, Carl Naya, can we please?
I understand why they didn't win, but I love, I was, you y'all know, I was all about
the Carl Express.
They brought one good man in there besides Bryce, who honestly, we didn't even know was a good
man until he fell in love with Trinity.
We watched it happen, MJ, and it is, you know, while a lot of people...
He's cute.
I like Carl.
Carl is very, and he is like, like,
a good man.
They even showed
like one point
they just had
this footage of
he had his glasses on
it was like
right before he was
going to sleep
and there was a big
moth inside of the villa
and he'd caught the moth
and then he went outside
and he let it free
that's nice
I mean
I mean
but Bryce at first
it's so funny
anyone that I talked to
that was inside of the villa
was like Bryce
like Trinity is a stunner
she is a goddess
and we're all just like
oh I guess well
they're just kind of
matched up together and we'll see and we're like, oh, this model. And everyone kept being like,
he's 29. Why isn't he in a wheelchair? Oh my God. Get this man a cane. He's 29. And she's
22, so one of the younger ones. And so she kept being like, oh, the age gap, the age gap.
They kept talking about the age gap. But it wasn't until Casa that we really saw because they
were becoming better friends, becoming better friends. And then finally, like literally they kept
choosing each other because she's like, I don't laugh the way I laugh with you.
Like they just really, like the way in which they truly became friends and then they went to
Casa, which is where they get separated.
And Trinity, because he had said to her, like, essentially, I, like, I'm, I would understand
if you found someone that you were more comfortable with because she was openly saying that
he was the first white guy that she had ever been with.
And he's like, I completely understand.
And so in Casa, he saw a picture, like when they showed the pictures to each other, he saw a picture of her kissing someone else.
And he, like, but you kiss people in challenges, but it really is a big deal if you kiss outside of challenges.
That's when it's a big deal.
And he noticed, though, that she, like, had kissed him outside of the challenge.
And in Casa, he heard that, saw that and was hurt but understood.
and was very openly communicating about his emotions about like,
I understand,
he's like,
but I choose her.
And if she's not going to,
he's like,
I,
I'm going to choose to believe that she's going to choose me to.
Because of course she's going to explore.
But then he started to like tear up and cry about it.
And it was very much,
he's like,
I want to wait for her.
I want to wait for her kiss.
I want to,
I want her.
And I didn't realize it until now.
But she was like saying the same stuff about him because she had,
made out with this guy in the photo booth.
And then she was like, but I was thinking about him the entire time.
And I realized I didn't want, and they, then when they got back together after Casa,
and they didn't even know that they were saying that about each other and they don't see
the footage until later on.
And you're just like watching them fall more and more in love.
And again, this could all be Stockholm syndrome that they are trapped because now they're talking
about, which I can only imagine, they don't live in the same place.
and it's so weird not being around each other.
And he's like, when she's...
This is the only reason that love is blind as good is they choose one city.
And all reality love-based show should obviously be that because you should not move for a relationship that you formed on Love Island.
Except for the fact that she's living, she was kind of living in the middle of nowhere.
And she's like, I'm going to move to L.A. where he's at and we're good.
That's fine.
So she should do that anyway because now her star is going to rise and everything.
But it's crazy, though, MJ, because they had even brought in a bomb.
shell that had because like when they bring in bombshells they do their research to either like bring in the types for people like on paper or targeted bombshells targeted bombshells and the person they had brought in for bryce was jen because they had worked on model things in the past so she recognized like they kind of knew each other but he was so for trinity and a lot of people are like oh they didn't explore enough
but you really, and of course, they're young, is it going to last forever?
Who knows?
We don't know these things.
But we did watch them fall in love.
And that really is a beautiful thing.
Whatever version of love it is for them.
We got to watch that this summer and that was really nice.
That is not.
I can't believe Love Island has a happy ending.
And I, you know, it's like exploring, like I, if it was like high school or college,
I'd be like, yeah, you should take your time, you know, before you like lock in.
but if it's at Love Island, like, I don't know.
I just feel like the whole thing with Love is blind is always like, oh, we have fun talking to each other, and then they see each other.
And they're like, the problem is I like talking to woman, but woman does not give me boner.
What do I do?
I will just pretend I like her until I break her heart in a few weeks.
But Bryce actually showed that, oh, my God, we can be fronds.
This sounds like the opposite, where it starts with friendship.
and then it's like actually
not only does this friendship
give me meaning and fulfillment
it also gives me a boner
and if that happens for you too
then that's great
and yeah I'm also
there was just a
there was just a clip of
mom Donnie talking about how he met his wife
on hinge you know which is
relatable millennial content
Oh my god
mom donnie is us
and I know I got to stop talking about
how great he is every week
You're allowed to. Now that Nithya's coming down the pipeline for L.A., you're allowed to continue talking about Mom Dani.
But he said, he was like, I saw her profile and I immediately was like, I want to marry that woman.
Like, I felt like I belong with her. And that does sound corny, but I also felt that way when I met my husband.
I was like, I think I might marry that person. And I feel like, if you have, I mean, I'm not saying that's what's going to happen with Brinity.
But I think that if you have...
It is what's going to happen with Brinity. We know it.
to be true.
I think it just,
I liked Bob Donnie saying that
because I actually,
it sounds, I feel like,
yeah, I just like,
I think it's something that,
it sounds irrational and you're not really
supposed to embrace that level of irrationality,
but love is irrational sometimes,
you know.
Oh, MJ.
And Love Island.
What are you going to do, Jackie?
What are you,
where is, summer's not over yet.
I don't know.
What about your summer and the villa?
I've moved into the UK villa is what I've done.
I just moved in.
I'm only on episode four of the UK villa,
but I already don't have a shot.
I have been just talking to my...
Between the Liza memoir and now entering Love Island Villa UK this season, I'm watching this season with Fitsy.
I'm watching for those that imbibe, I just want you to know I am watching Love Island UK now.
Okay.
You're watching Love Island, UK.
Because Love Island, UK is not over yet.
They actually spend the whole summer in the villa.
And I feel like it's the middle of July.
The summer's not over yet.
Get back in the villa.
Summer's not over yet.
Yeah.
Get back in the bill.
And we are reading the Liza Manaline memoir, which is, kids, wait till you hear this.
And it's terrific.
I just adore Liza Minnelli.
I don't know how we're only going to do two episodes on it.
I know.
Every other sentence is another like, and then what happened?
I know.
And then this happened.
I know.
And the jury got to live hard.
and then it's just like feeling every other line has affairs with so many famous men.
And yeah, lots, it's every, yeah, you text me yesterday.
Every other line is like a huge earth-shattering Hollywood story.
This, it's great.
But also, I did want to tell you in terms of summer watches, I finally, finally, finally have joined the Real Housewives of Rhode Island club.
And I know I'm late.
Oh, Rory.
Rory.
How many episodes are you in and do, can you tell them apart yet?
I'm only in the second episode, so I'm new.
But I just, I, I was having a real Netflix existential crisis because I was like, I don't
want to watch any of these true crimes.
I started one and I was like, I hate this.
Oh my God, you don't want to start any of the true crime.
MJ, are you sick?
And I could have kept watching Harlan Cobins, I will find you, which I would like to.
But I was like, I can't just keep coming every week.
talking about Harlan Cobens, I will find you.
And so I was like, I want to watch something new.
And I watched a little bit of the Larry David and a history thing.
And, you know, I love Larry David.
He's fun, but I was like, this is not really what I want.
It is not what I'm in the mood for.
I tell you, I also, I do like Larry David very much, but I'm just like, it's a fun idea.
But yeah, I was like, uh, didn't draw me in.
Star-studded cast, you know.
Crazy guest.
I love him.
But it was like, what if we took off?
He'll do not work with Cheryl Hines.
And I, and we're watching it.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like, what if, what if you just took all the, like, kind of frustrating things about
Larry David and took away all of the good stuff and then put him in costume is how I felt.
And they're like, but what if the founding fathers did it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that was whatever.
But then I was like, what can I watch that will be fun to talk about with Jackie?
And then I started Rari.
And, you know, the real housewise, I think I'm a little.
little spoiled by Secret Lives of Mormon Wives because they really, it's like how, how, it's like,
did you see that Whitney unfollowed Taylor on, yeah, Insta? And Taylor's like, Taylor,
don't let the door hit you. Uh, they go ahead. Did you see that Dakota put a two year old on a
motorcycle without a helmet? And then they had to do the fucking custody year old. It's just custody hearing and the judge is like,
understand helmet on the child. You should have, we should really be.
getting permits to have children. And I know that that's another hot take without a shirt on,
but hot take without a shirt on is coming in hard, all right? And I think we should have at least,
you should have to take at least a class before you have a child. I think at least. A class might
be a good idea. I know that Taylor's life is falling apart and that's very hard. But I think that the
reason I struggle with Real Housewives compared to Secret Lives and Mormon Wives is that Real Housewives
is like the network show model of like, you get a bunch of shows. You get, I don't know if it's 22,
but it's like you get a whole season
and they want you to really settle in
and take your time and spend many, many hours with them.
And then Secret Lives Mormon Wives is more like
the prestige limited series treatment
where you get 10 episodes that are jam-packed
with no filler.
And I think that I like that and getting...
But also it's a good background show
because so much of Real Housewives
is just them at each other's houses
being like, I meant to bring
cheese and crackers, but the line for cheese
was too long, so I just bought crackers.
Okay. Or you're talking about the bitch
that loves crackers? Because she always
has to have a crackers.
Because in case she gets hungry, she's got
to have a crackers. And she always
has a crackers inside of a bus.
And I love
pretending like I'm them.
I'm really, I've been menacing, my
poor husband between the Rory
accents and the Liza. Really?
He's like, are you done with the Liza book yet?
I'm like, babe, I have 11
hours left. Yeah, I have about 11 hours left too. Oh, cute. I have tried to listen to her really
ramped up. It's just so funny. How does a star of the stage and screen, how is she not able to deliver,
like, how is she able not to read? I'm sorry, we'll talk about that during the actual
Eliza episodes, but she has the reading cadence of the situation with the voice of Judy Garland.
The voice of Judy Garland.
Yes.
The way that the situation read each word as if he was seeing it for the first time.
There was no kind of like cohesion to the sentence.
It's like each sentence is a journey from word to word.
You have no idea where you're going to end up.
And we've listened to enough audiobooks read by celebrities now that there's just a thing
where it's like you're starting this sentence and you don't know how it finishes even though
this is your book.
And that's fine for the situation.
But it's very weird for Liza Minnelli, who is a seasoned.
performer and has the voice of Judy Garland, but she is just every sentence you have no idea
where it's going.
It really is.
But she's 80, so it's okay.
It is, but it's also really crazy to see the difference as someone that has done professional
audiobooks before and how, I'm going to use the phrase, the word mean, how mean they are
when you are directed, like if you're not doing it right.
But they don't do that to celebrities.
and it is fascinating because all other audiobook narrators are just like so beaten into submission.
And celebrities are like, well, just don't let her know that she's not doing it.
Right.
It's like you could just ask her to say it again.
There's ways in which you say a sentence.
So it sounds like the end of a chapter.
Right, right, right.
It's things where she's just barreling through it.
Like it is just, but also every chapter is like an hour law.
Sorry, we're not talking about this book right now.
We're not talking about this book right now.
We're talking about Rory.
All right.
We're talking about Rory.
And at least MJ, I will throw it out there.
There's only 13 episodes of Rari.
And then it's the reunion.
So this is not one of those like 26, 28 episode long seasons.
Okay.
But yeah, it's a perfect summer show.
If anybody is like real house skeptical.
On the boat.
Yeah, you got to get out.
It doesn't it make you want to be on a boat?
It does make me want to be on a boat.
I love boat culture.
You know, I grew up on a river town, so the boat culture was a little different. But it also, oh, I meant to grab my, my, my, I have an apron that my, either my mom or dad found at the grocery store, the Hy-Vee in Dubuque, Iowa many years ago, like at least a decade ago that says the real housewives of Dubuque. And the housewives is spelled with an F. And I don't think that's meant to be a joke. But watching Rhode Island, the fun thing about Rhode Island for real housewives is that everyone cannot stop.
saying everyone in Rhode Island knows each other. We all went to high school together. It's an
extremely small town of a state. And obviously that makes for perfect drama. And then that did get me
thinking that a real housewives of Dubuque or a real housewives of like a small Midwestern town actually
would be fire. You know, it would slap. Well, I would hope so because I've already written that
pitch and it would be really great to have it be done. I would love to make that. That's exactly the show that I've already written and I would love for that to be done.
Yeah. Where it's just big personalities in a small town. Yeah. And what that invokes, but who knows what the future will have? You know, at this point, I've played enough dating games that now I'm writing my own dating games. So maybe I'll watch enough reality television that someday,
I'll create my own.
And wouldn't that be a gift?
Not that I want to move into the, you know, the world of reality television.
Never forget when I was asked to audition for Big Brother and I genuinely thought about it.
And I thought, could I actually deal with that?
It's really the challenges that are the problem, MJ.
It's not, I can do the confessionals.
I can do the backstabbing.
It is just, I can't.
Don't make me do a challenge.
You know what I mean?
Like, don't put me in a helmet and have me dangling from a helicopter.
or like I don't want it.
Yeah.
Yeah, but I was going to say maybe it would,
the emotional ups and downs would be hard for you.
But because you are like,
I'd be crying all the time.
Yeah, no, I'd be devastated every second,
every about something,
I'd be embarrassed, I'd be upset.
Oh, yeah, no, it would be bad for me.
But maybe you wouldn't because you're like somebody
who like has a husband and a life.
And like you don't, you know,
like I think that a lot of these young people,
it's like they are now,
they are launching their life on camera.
The reality.
Yeah, that's that's
Well, that's honestly what I keep thinking about
With all these Love Island people
Because it's like they get
Like they went in there
Most of them have like
They have like you know
8,000 followers on insert
You know it's like oh if that
And then they're coming out
With millions of followers
Everybody knows them
All of these collabs
Everybody like watched
All of their you know
We really did like Kenzie
I'm saying I'm making a joke
about her drinking the champagne
and clam slamming in front of her parents.
But she, like, you watch the light leave her eyes in six weeks.
Like, she went from being this, like, all the memes were like this, like, crazy-eyed,
like bushy-tailed.
And then everything by the end where she's just like looking through the camera, like,
trying to exist, you know, it's just she's a shell of a person.
And now they're dumping her on call her daddy.
And immediately.
And I'm just like, how is your brain handling this at the age of 23?
Yeah. And I remember like when when Love is Blind started in 2020, we're like, what kind of idiots would audition for this? Why do people keep auditioning for this? But, but yeah, I mean, this, like, you know, there's in an economy where there's no jobs, young people want to be influencers because it is one of the few things that you can monetize. And obviously it's also a huge part of the culture. But, but then they got to be put on a psych hold. You know, it does. Yeah, I, I worry. I worry. I worry.
for them. I worry for the
young people. Don't. Don't.
Are you going to worry for the next
dance pro? Because I know the dancing with the stars
the next dance pro.
I believe that has started.
I saw that, yeah. I mean, I didn't watch it,
but I saw it. And I know that
you know, a little
boy, what's his name?
Robbie, Robin, Robin? I'm thinking of Robin Wood.
Principal Robin Irwin.
Not talking about Puffy right now.
Robert Irwin. I'm talking to Robert Irwin. Yes.
And he is hosting it.
And I don't know.
I guess this is my, I'm beseeching the audience.
Do we watch this?
As new Dancing with the Stars people, do we watch this?
Question for the audience.
I mean, again, talk about a young person launching a career.
I know that Robert Irwin has had a career since he was two.
He has a career, MJ.
It's animals.
Yeah, but launching a career.
Also, part of me think fretting about the young people.
And also, you know, now I'm like around.
I live with like elementary schoolers now and like most of what they, when they talk about
what they want to be when they grew up, a lot of it is like, you, you, YouTuber.
Like that's just a huge part of the culture right now.
And honestly, listening to Liza's book and thinking about what it used to be like, like,
what they put on the TikToks.
It's just choosing to become a performer and like pursuing, you know, it was like a craft.
And YouTubeing and being an influencer is a craft.
I'm not going to take that away.
It is a craft.
It's a different craft.
But yeah, I'm so thrilled to be living in the world of like the 1960s New York stage scene.
And then I like look up and look around me and like all I see is like aspirational influencing and YouTubers.
And like I've now followed influencers.
I've followed parent influencers for long enough that like their thing is done.
But this is the only way they can make money.
And so now they're trying to figure out what their thing is.
and they're floundering.
Their thing was toddlers, and now their kid is 14.
And what are they going to do?
You know, and now they're telling you how to make waffles for a 14-year-old.
And it's like, we've got to, it's not sustainable.
You guys, it's not sustainable.
14-year-olds don't mean.
What are they going to eat, MJ?
You don't need to keep telling.
Sometimes you run out of things to say.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I say this as a 15-year podcaster.
Sometimes we run out of things to say.
We do.
But sometimes, you don't know,
we run out of Broadway shows to go see.
I'm so upset that Cats the Jellicle Ball has already been canceled.
Let's talk about it.
It is like Tony, like, like, is everyone I know literally two weeks ago, a friend of mine went to go see and was like, you have to get to New York to see this show.
I thought I had time.
I thought we had time.
It just moved to Broadway a few months ago.
It won several Tonys.
And seats wise, it was due.
doing well. Like, it was selling tickets. I, this is, there's been a lot of like Broadway talk about, like, the, the incentives for Broadway and the theater owners and whatnot, that there's, I guess, not incentive to support kind of newer, creative, queer black projects like this. But it's just like there's so many cool, let's take a classic Broadway text and re-envisioning. That was boring. That was on Broadway forever. So, but it's a beloved.
but we make it, again, like fronted.
We re-invigorated.
We fronted by black queer talent.
And everybody loves it.
It's critically acclaimed.
It's selling well.
What happened?
Like, and then, yeah, it seems like the answer was just like it wasn't making enough money.
But yeah, anyone who understands the economics of this, please tell me because it is a, it is truly a tragedy.
And like how, you know, to go back to Mr. Fantasy.
Like make new things that are interesting.
And yes, this is a reimagining of something, but it's not just a reboot.
It is a full creative reimagining, reimagining, retelling of a story in a way that was really, really, really hitting for people.
But also, what does this say to young artists that this show that literally just won three Tony Awards this year got canceled?
What do we say to young art?
Like, how do we give hope that like, that, that, you?
to make new things because those re-hashings and the regurgitations are the only things that sell.
You know, it's like, make that wife small.
You know, that's what sells, MJ.
How dare you try to have something that is completely a reinvention of a boring tale as old as time?
Like, how dare you try to spark some life or some joy into something?
And really, I feel like I try not to take that from this.
I don't want to take that lesson from this because it's, that's insane.
We shouldn't take that lesson.
I think we have to keep trying to make really interesting and creative art.
But yeah, it is like very scary to feel like the incentives, the financial incentives are to not support art like this, right?
Like that, yeah, that's just, that's just really, in a city now is New York doesn't have.
TV and film anymore for the most part.
That's another interesting thing about Liza's book.
She's like, I didn't want to be in L.A.
Because that's where Mommy was.
My mama was.
But in New York, I could strike out on my own.
And I was like, oh, yeah, there used to be a lot of film and television in New York.
And we don't have that anymore.
It's like, what we have here is theater.
I keep saying to myself, drive from mama, dreams from Papa.
She said, drive from Mama, dreams from Papa.
Over.
Oh, man.
Horror.
The moral of the stories.
I drive my mom and dreams from Papa.
Don't have Judy Garland as a mom.
I mean, it sounds tough.
Wow, we are going to get into that.
I think somebody tells me Judy Garland screwed up her daughter a little bit.
I think so.
But I even said this to MJ.
I was like, dude, send a copy of this.
I did to my mom.
I immediately sent her the audio book of Liza reading it.
I was like, mom, you love, love, love, love, love, love.
love, love, love, love, love, love, Judy Garland, you will find this fascinating.
But now it's great because now we're talking about it.
It's helping me remember some.
I mean, there's just so much.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, and it's just, yeah, I feel like as on this show, as millennial pop culture discussions, it's like we're trying to, we're realizing that youth culture is something that we don't, it's not our first language anymore, that we're trying to.
It was never our first language.
language, MJ. It was never our first language. We were never part of mainstream youth culture,
even when we were young. No, it's why we started this show to try to attempt to tap into that.
But you're right. That is the entire premise of the show is that we didn't understand mainstream culture.
And still don't, apparently. But it is, I find it's like getting into a nice warm bath to look back at culture of,
I almost said yesterday year, but that's a different thing. But to hear somebody talk about old Hollywood
in old New York and Broadway, breaking into Broadway in the 1960s and all the singer-sogg writers.
And then to see a show like this get canceled.
It really is heartbreaking.
It makes me so sad.
I wanted to see it so badly.
I know it does seem that it will be filmed and preserved.
But that's not fair.
I don't want it to be preserved.
I want to see it live.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And again, I know that there is a lot of chatter about this in the Broadway and
stage acting community. Yeah, I mean, it's the, the, the, the, the profits fell, the Broadway
league said that the profits fell, like, you know, basically like 40% after like the Tony's
hype. But the seats are at like 90% capacity, which for a Broadway show was pretty good.
Like, I don't get it.
What else do you want, MJ? But that's the thing is that it's just, I guess it's just a money hungry.
It's just not enough.
It's just not enough to keep it going.
And that's, I don't, I'm not going to go in a diatribe about how much things cost.
We're not going to do that right now because we're over here, you know, obviously shading Blake Lively because I do really love, I do need to just throw this out there.
Love all of the conversation about Taylor's wedding with Blake Lively where now there's all of these articles that are coming out where she's like,
I was invited.
I chose not to go.
And the amount of like celebrities that are like,
I feel like it is the Envogue thing to be like,
I was invited, but I was too busy being Batman, like Robert Pattinson.
But Blake didn't have that.
She was just like, I was just like, really busy.
And he couldn't make it.
And I just couldn't make it.
And not only did she say, I was invited.
but I just, I was really busy and I couldn't make it.
They also, from their sources that tell the story, presented it as a very thoughtful choice for Taylor and Travis,
because they didn't want to take away from their day by adding to the drama of bringing in the Blake Lively drama,
which, to be fair, drama does follow Blake Lively wherever she goes because of this quagmire of the Baldoni suit.
But I feel like the thing of being like, I'm going to choose not to attend your wedding so that I don't mess.
up your day is something that maybe like an estranged, like stepmother could choose to do for a
wedding, but like for your allegedly long-time best friend to be like, I'm sorry, her dragon.
Did you mean her dragon's wedding? Like, you know, there are times where you're like, I would love
to be at your wedding, but because of family stuff, it'll be better for me not to come.
Like that's totally a real thing. But Blake lively being like, I did the thoughtful thing by
did not make it about me, which of course also then made it about her.
Just in a different way.
Of course it did.
Also, I did not read this blind yesterday, but this blind, just because this A-minus-less actress moved back into one of their many properties,
doesn't mean they are living together and definitely not living together as husband and wife.
Whoa.
So many lines about divorce so.
Divorso for Blake and Ryan, which is, I feel I don't wish bad things for Blake.
It's sad.
I don't wish divorcee on anybody.
But no, don't wish divorce so on anybody.
some people, but yeah, that's true.
But yeah, I do feel bad that Blake lively was like,
this was a toxic work environment full of sexual harassment.
And now everyone was like, you bitch, get a divorce, you know.
But I also, that what has happened in the interim.
There was also issues with there were also, she had, she's not just the victim in this.
I will throw.
I mean, it was.
Yeah, but also all the crisis PR stuff.
this is something I need to get more illiterate in.
Because also somebody sent me a really interesting reel about that the crisis PR,
that Jason Sadekis is a baddie, but he has like the good crisis PR.
Oh, good PR.
That like, and does the same, like the crisis PR of what happened to Blake lively,
which was for sure a targeted, like targeted, like targeted back campaign.
Like, is this bitch actually a bitch?
You know?
And like that the same way that has happened with so many women that that I, but, you know,
but you know, I just get a real.
So I feel awkward just bringing that to the show and being.
like Jason Sadekis is a baddie because a reel on Instagram told me that he was.
And we don't know if that's true because anyone can write anything, MJ.
Right, anyone can write anything.
But people are saying that there was some crisis PR at play for the Olivia Wilde as a bitch.
And I think what my takeaway from that is that any time there's a giant this woman is a bitch campaign happening, worth pausing.
Yes.
To recognize that there's probably a PR campaign behind this.
trying to make it seem like this woman is a bigger bitch than she is.
And that is something that is helpful.
And maybe it is, you know, oh, I shouldn't say what I was going to say.
Is it about the vinaigarette?
No, no, no, no.
It was just another jab at Taylor, which I don't need to do.
You know, it's just, I feel that I've made my feelings clear.
And that is, yeah, sometimes you got to pick your nipples up, show your abs off,
and start all over again.
Yes, we're starting the episode over from the beginning, everybody.
No, we're not.
We're going to leave our fake abs right where they are
