Starting point is 00:00:00 Pkn 522 sup boys. How's it going? Oh well hang out this Sunday. I guess you both answered we're all in Yeah, good afternoon to you all we had a wonderful fight hang out in the discord this Saturday night. We watched trick us to Plessy Take down Israel out of Sonia. I'd love him knowing chat I've only got love in my heart for one Israel and it ain't out of Sonia. Okay It was a beautiful fucking thing seeing him seeing the white guy basically the meme is he loses He loses and then at one point in the fight. He just decides to win and he does How did he knock him out? He choked him? Okay, he compromised him with the strikes and then finished with the choke. Yeah
Starting point is 00:00:42 Come from behind victory. Did he suppose not like crazy come from behind, but he was behind the cards. He was ahead on the cards. So really the real cards? Yeah. So in watching the fight, I was really uncertain. Kyle felt like Israel was ahead on the cards. It turns out DDP was ahead on two out of three cards. So it was split even It was a really good fight though, it was really good I was kind of I think I had five bucks on Israel But you know the judging was so bad that the guy who gave tied to a bossy three rounds. They were like, hey
Starting point is 00:01:19 Why don't we end the night for you? We're gonna bring in an alternate judge You're you're right. You want to go get those lenses fixed because really they should not do that in the middle of the fight night That's pretty terrible optics. It was I'm with no it's great. I'm not with Taylor on this one. It's so there was a Like sometimes rounds are close. This was not that case What are we looking at? Okay, it's the right, right? What are we looking at? Okay. It's the right. Am I right? Dricker's is ahead on. He's ahead in one card and two cards behind in the other. Oh, you're right. You're right. I see it now. I see it now. Yeah, two out of three. Okay. So, but yeah, yeah. So, tied to
Starting point is 00:01:57 Taiyabusa. His name's hard for me. He clearly lost every round in my eye. Very much so. And this judge gave every single round to him and he's a local. They were fighting in Australia and it was just like no like it. If it was closer and there was an argument to be made for that scorecard, I'd be one Taylor side. That like I'm just curious about the athletic Commission got to be it. It definitely isn't Dana White or anybody with the UFC. They're kind of beholden to these people. They're like Dana sometimes will be like what are you gonna do? Like if he doesn't like the
Starting point is 00:02:32 fighter who got cheated he'll be like that's why you gotta go in there and finish these fights. You don't put it in the hands of another man certainly not three. Then a good judge will come back with a decision he doesn't like against a fighter he loves and he'll be like you like, you know what, we're going to talk to the commission. We're going to talk to Nevada. I'm going to talk to the people in Congress. All right. And maybe, just maybe Donald J. Trump will have a thing or two to say about this man, this abomination they've got judging in Texas, because I'm not going to have like a full on Melrose. But he's still powerless, which is good. You don't want Dana to be able to choose who wins. You want some fair third party person to be doing that. So Dana can talk trash.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Dana can draw attention to a bad judge, but yeah, it's not a bad system. Yeah. You guys seem to have some pull with like getting refs out of there because they had this ref, Mario Yamazaki. He would always, you may actually know that recognize he would do this when they announce me do like a thing with my white guy.
Starting point is 00:03:32 I was like obviously. And he let a woman get beaten so severely that it was upsetting Genuinely upsetting to watch and he had a pattern of doing that and his response was I was letting her be a warrior Like the one who was getting beat up like letting her be a war like maybe she could take this beating But she'll get back up and like turn the tide But it's like dude she's being destroyed and I the way I remember it it was Valentina Shevchenko on top Ground and pounding her and was Valentina Shevchenko on top, ground and pounding her. And when Valentina got up, yes, it was that. Valentina was covered in blood like a pit bull that just eaten a Yorkie.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Like it was bad. Yeah, that was his calling card. It seems like he's the guy that's going to let him battle it out. Let him bleed. Don't you want that in your intense fighting sport? No, no, absolutely not. No, we I don't. So I like.
Starting point is 00:04:28 I don't like those knockout montages. That's just brutality of people losing brain cells and getting CT. I really don't watch those. I like technique. I like matchups and I like storylines. Do you think John Jones imagining John Jones running around the octagon, trying to like dodge a grenade from a drone? like
Starting point is 00:04:49 Think he's the best in the world at that No, he's not he's the best in the world at unarmed combat, which is what we want to jump in I'm ready get his ass whooped in there, too. What was your point? My favorite so I watch a fight and my Observation of striking is not that sophisticated. So I'll be like, Oh, I see you hit him with the overhead right, whatever. And then someone who is sophisticated will show how he gave that like same look four times. Like, look at this, you know, every time he bobs his head to the right, he does a left high kick, bo Bob said to the right left high kick, and it's like so then he gave that look again The guy started prepping for the left high kick and took it on the head and I'm like, oh Shit I've been playing checkers and he's been playing chess all fight the pain Eldon ring out there Dude Eldon ring I'm addicted to this guy dude. so my wife and I are now watching
Starting point is 00:05:47 Elden Ring YouTube videos. We watch them every day. The algorithm's fucked. The algorithm has me so hooked. I'm just, and there's one guy, I wish I knew his name, Toulac or something, but he's pretty funny. And he'll take 12 hours of gameplay,
Starting point is 00:06:03 shrink it to a 30 minute video and write a script for it and tell a story and it's really good. Anyway, I fought the fire giant today, someone I've seen online like dozens of times. He's like one of the big major end game bosses. And I wanted to like get an autograph before we fought. I'm like, whoa, I made the fire,
Starting point is 00:06:22 this is the real fire giant, this is the one. And some of the character models are used in a few places. So it's like, sure, I made the fire. This is the real fire giant. This is the one. And some of the character models are used in a few places. So it's like, sure, I fought this tree, but not the big bad tree I'll see later. But no, I fought the real big fire giant today and it was cool. Did you get him? Nice.
Starting point is 00:06:36 First try actually. Very nice. Yeah. You've improved dramatically. You're gonna have to show us a little bit on this month's Hangout, so we have a point of comparison for I've become better at uh, a little better on the sticks in general a big part of the game
Starting point is 00:06:53 Big part of the game is when you roll you have these invincibility frames So as a player, it's wickedly important that you like stop watch observe and react in a non-panicked way And at first I was just like, roll, roll, roll. Now it's like, I see what's coming. And you know, if your health is low, you wanna chug a health as fast as you can. But taking health takes like three seconds in this game. So it's the same sort of thing. Like roll, roll, roll,
Starting point is 00:07:18 wait for an opportunity to attack, health instead. Fuck you, you can't have both this time, you know, but that's what you got to do. Anyway, I'm getting smarter and more patient and less panicked and then of course my character is getting stronger too. Are they like strategy videos you're watching with Jackie at night or is it like lore of the world of Elden? So the videos Jackie and I watch are mostly like lore and story videos, but a lot of the strategy is just knowledge. Like, Tarkov has a similar sort of thing where, like, this gun set up with these attachments really amplify how good that gun can be. It's the same sort of thing in Elden Ring where it's like, oh, you've got a, you know, a sword here with a magic damage multiplier on it but your character's all muscles like this isn't the
Starting point is 00:08:06 sword for you stupid you need this talisman and that one to combine these buffs and stack it and make it more effective and uh like um engine thing like like in diablo it's you're building these engines that around your character it's like oh this gauntlet gives me every time I throw a spear two spears come out this helmet makes each spear do double damage and like you're using things that just if you're pretty sure you're the spear king and just everything you do creates more spears than you know what to do with it takes a lot of knowledge to be good at elden ring and i don't have it so i'm in there rocking talismans that throw two spears at a time with my katana and it's not helping me at all.
Starting point is 00:08:49 We were in the call and I'm like, I've never invoked a rune arc. A rune arc apparently takes your character and makes him Superman. There's something you should use when fighting big bosses. And I was like, yeah, I didn't even look up how. I've just been playing this game on hard mode for 140 hours. Can you imagine playing Tarkov with zero guidance?
Starting point is 00:09:08 It would be wow, so hard, right? It would be it would be the most frustrating because what would happen is you would get to a task and it would be a quest that the game would give you at one point and it would tell you to go somewhere and find the secret documents. And so you'd start wandering in a goddamn city that's the size of a real city with like 550 different rooms in it that's full of- With no clues.
Starting point is 00:09:34 But everything's trying to kill you. There's some clues, but like you might- the map's so big you'd spawn on one side and you'd die getting there and then you'd spend like 15 minutes if we're if we're fast getting back into the raid and then die again it's like i haven't even gotten to the side of the map i think this is about and once i get there i'm going room to room like looking under cabinets under beds like like you're looking for a tiny little thing that normally isn't there in any other game but it's only there this time because you have the task, it would be a nightmare and the game is full of those.
Starting point is 00:10:08 It's full of those. Yeah, you have to have a tour guide. I don't understand how people could play the, I'm lucky because I'm on this podcast. There are people who help me as a tour guide and they'll like take me to the room and be like, look under the keyboard. Like, I don't see anything.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Keep looking. And then like, I never see it. A dialogue pops up like press X to grab. And I'm like, oh, God, like I didn't know. It's impossible. You can't. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Are you having more fun now that you're doing PvE Tarkov than you were in multiplayer? Honestly, yeah. Because what they do to replace the players is they put in squads of AI that are like well geared and seem to be really smart and they loot and they travel around the map and basically pretend to be people and they just what they wipe today actually so so the The AI is doing more stuff. It's more aggressive. They've got a new feature in the game, Woody.
Starting point is 00:11:06 I don't know how it's going to work, but it seems like there's PMC karma now. So if you're a bear, you're not supposed to kill other bears. And so when your karma gets low from killing other bears, by the way, you have no fucking clue who's a bear of PMC. Sometimes you're looking through into the bushes. There's a guy in the bushes over there. What's squads he with with everyone's wearing camo And it's an actual bear. No, no, no, it's faction names
Starting point is 00:11:31 sex Russians in and US basically, okay, so US or bear a USEC Russian you said yeah, they're like they're all private military You know mercenaries being hired by the warring factions of the US and Russia So you have to look across the map and figure out if the guys are Russian or an American and you can't tell No, of course you can't and so you're gonna inevitably just kill lots of and people will have bad karma in that and so what? They did they added a new boss to the game and this guy looks for people with bad karma And he seeks them out and then hunts them down and kills them and he also sets minds up in the mat Like he's setting tripwires like hiding tripwires throughout the map. They also catch him
Starting point is 00:12:11 So I haven't seen him yet. It's brand new today like like hours. It's hours old Today was a big day like like everybody's streaming it. Everybody's playing it. But the the twitch drops are gonna start Thursday, I think so twitch will be taken over by Tarkov. Can you still get those in the one player server? Oh, I don't fucking. I just I really I don't think of it even as the same game, really, because the PVP is kind of the point of Tarkov, like warring it out against other people.
Starting point is 00:12:39 This is more like like a Rainbow Six type game. Like I'm more like a SOCOM Navy SEAL type guy, just killing waves of AI. Is it the same character that you use between worlds? No, no, you got a whole new account. It's on the same account, but it's a whole new character. All the money and everything is independent. The advantage, I started playing like a week ago,
Starting point is 00:13:02 so I've already ranked my character at like level 40 and unlocked all the traders almost so the the wipe happened today And so I got the Eden white didn't wipe so I can go ahead and buy like the Uzi or the M60 Like I've got those traders unlocked so I can just buy the new stuff and play with it so you get the benefits of the Patch but with you know, I'm starting from scratch. I see. Yeah, they don't. That's the other thing about PVE I like.
Starting point is 00:13:27 They're never going to wipe it, I don't think. Or at least they won't wipe your task progression. And so I'll get Kappa here eventually, you know, but not in a hurry. They should let you prestige. Sure. Yeah, well, you can do that anyway. There's a little button, you can just reset account.
Starting point is 00:13:44 You can go up in the settings and sort of. But badge. That doesn't come with any prestige. Yeah, well you can do that anyway. There's a little button. You can just reset account. You can go up in the settings and so on. But that doesn't come with any prestige. Yeah, you need a badge. It needs to come with prestige. Your other character maybe should get an alphab. Like, oh yeah, you lose everything except. Yeah, like a skull. Your clothes and an armband would be sick. Yeah. There's already a trophy room where you put stuff. I wish they would let you put like characters heads. I wanted to. It's a game that has like the an occult vibe like on the on the core. It's it's the warring factions. It's basically Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:14:14 It's it's like there's a it, you know, predicted a decade earlier or so. So there's a big fight between private military and there's like scavengers who live there. But there's also like a cult doing rituals. Like in the absence of law and order and all the population has left. But these cultists are still there and they're like torturing and disemboweled. Are you helping them out or are you shutting them down? No, you just see the evidence of what they've done and you occasionally bump into them on
Starting point is 00:14:40 the map and they're hard to kill. Like they're they're they're scary AI and and they're scary because they I don't think they make footsteps, but they wear like a cult garb and scary masks and they rush you out of nowhere, but before you see them, they're lying prone in bushes in the darkness. So you never just, oh, there he is. You're just pounced upon. They're there. They spook you. They also run up to you,
Starting point is 00:15:06 stab you with a poison's knife and run away. This is cool, Taylor. Yes, when stabbing range, just finish it. There was evidence of the cult in this game for years. So evidence would be like you walk into a room in a hotel or something and there's blood all over the room. There's a dead body in the bathtub with like a pig's head on it and maybe some words written in blood, like horrific shit.
Starting point is 00:15:29 A ritual has been done. A ritual has been performed. When Battlestate Games introduced the cult, they didn't tell anyone. We kind of knew it was coming for years and years and years, but out of the blue, people started getting attacked at night by cultists laying on their bellies in the bushes with poison knives and I just thought that was a really nice way to introduce like a heart yeah that's a fun addition yeah they're kind of secretive like that
Starting point is 00:15:54 anytime they add something to the game as well did that one game that was like you talking about that uh hell divers that game came and went so rapidly, it seems like it among us. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe there's a lot of people on there. Still, I don't know. I don't know the player numbers are right now. I know it's popularity.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Is that like a public? Yeah, yeah, it is. There's a games or something. Yeah, yeah. I still subscribe to their subreddit and I see there's just drama after drama. It seems like I think the thing that keeps happening is this is a that's a PVE game where you want to feel like a badass and yet the developers keep nerfing all the weapons down
Starting point is 00:16:34 so you feel like it's hopeless on the higher difficulties and you end up just shooting a gun that doesn't do any damage like is your primary and you use your like power ups and airstrikes and stuff to get anything killed. And I think players have 25000 is not good. Yeah. I mean, it's not a dead game by any means. Is that I mean, 25000. It looks like it's a number 50, 20, 21000 people. Yeah. And it's not a game that's super dependent on a Big player base really I would imagine the top 50 games had so many more people playing
Starting point is 00:17:13 I think it's heavy the 30th most played game Final Fantasy has 31,000 Look at the top games though. They'll have top Counter-Strike 2 almost 800 000 some game sure banana always 104 000 dota people get paid to play it still that's why pubg 115 000 dude Counter-Strike 2 is almost double number two banana now have you guys heard of a game called banana oh i thought you were making a comment on how crazy it was oh no no it's it's no, I've never heard of banana. Let's find out about banana. Banana is a clicker.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Was it that shooter you wait? Banana is a clicker game in which you click a banana and banana. You click the banana to gain even more bananas. Every three you get dropped a banana. Each banana is also made by the community and discord. Come hang out with us and let's grow into something awesome. What the fuck? How are there 400,000 people playing this right now? also made by the community and discord come hang out with us and let's grow into something awesome what the fuck
Starting point is 00:18:13 how are there 400 000 people playing this right now is there gameplay on youtube banana maybe this could be a new game we can all obsess over and learn build orders if you search banana on youtube you don't get this game here it is banana the most popular game on steam all right where is is this a virus do I played steams biggest scam banana it doesn't look it it looks like there's just a number of a banana and you click to add a number to the banana I'm not gonna play banana. I'm gonna let you know right now Is that the loading screen or the game? This is the game? He's winning son the game 404,000 people are playing went by boys room at night. He's in there clicking on a banana. He said look Paul 300
Starting point is 00:19:05 is uh We oh my god is Tarkov a steam game. No, no, they have their own launchers on a sketchy ass launcher It's on its own sketchy ridiculous launcher nice. Oh, yeah, I wonder Tarkov just can't seem to get their cheating problems under control. That's the that that's the number The PvE thing is like no one is going to cheat me when I die. I'm like dang they got me I don't care at all. I don't care at all. I don't care if I lose Thermals and fucking night vision goggles and all my best shit I don't care at all because I know I fucked up and they killed me
Starting point is 00:19:43 but when I when I lose the players, I'm like, I'm fucking cheated. Probably paid $20 a month to do that shit. Another thing, in PvE, if you do cheat, I don't care. Okay. In Elden Ring, sometimes people cheat because they wanna save time. Like, all right, I want a character with these levels
Starting point is 00:20:01 and they'll just download a cheat and they'll modify their own character and then they'll play and they'll beat up AI. That's fine, I don't care. Yeah, who cares? It's like using cheats in Tony Hawk. Like, no, you can't do a kick flip, stale fish a thousand times
Starting point is 00:20:15 with the moon gravity cheat plugged in. It's like, yes, I can. I'm seven, I can spend all afternoon doing this. And so I would if you guys ever played that, it was so fun. No, but yeah, knock yourself out cheat Cheating PVE. I don't care. Yeah, I don't understand why anyone would care about that. I do foresee you not maintaining interest in a PVE server long term, though,
Starting point is 00:20:36 Kyle, because you're going to the there won't be those low lows, but there won't be those high highs of sneaking up on someone and executing them and stealing their fucking Tylenols or whatever. It's pretty fun. I don't know. There's so many tasks and they just added a bunch of new tasks and it's kind of fun to like kill tons and tons of Raiders. Like the AI is difficult. You're picking a different...
Starting point is 00:21:01 So I meant like quest lines. Sometimes like, all right, I'm dropping in and I have to find the this US Russian document and sell it to the Russians. And then another mission might be I have to go find this Russian secret bullet and turn it over to the Americans or it's not like that. You just a rogue. No, you're you're doing the tasks for third-party vendors
Starting point is 00:21:23 and like like they're essentially like contacts in the area who can hook you up with weapons and gear that are in a store you go to but they're not like the kid is not like Moscow and Washington or anything no so you're but you are so it doesn't change if you're one faction of the other the tasks except some of the tasks say kill kill ten of the other guys kill ten of the bears if you're you sick Well, you know be like that but for the most part the tasks are the same It's mostly clothing options and voice lines and that sort of thing If you're Russian you sound Russian when you speak in the game. Are you Russian?
Starting point is 00:21:58 I don't know You don't know you didn't you over it. Thank there's this the game where it's random. I think I'm you sick But I don't really remember. I don't really care anymore didn't remember what you chose? Or is this the game where it's random? I think I'm Yusek, but I don't really remember. I don't really care anymore. I like being Yusek a little more because every once in a while the in-game voice lines are nice. They added a Russian who speaks English with a Russian accent, and that's the go. That's the way to go. Nikolai or something like that. He sounds like the Russian from Call of Duty Zombies. So he's. Oh, he was good. That was also Nikolai. Yeah. Yeah. He's a little comedic and oh, you hit me. Definitely the way to go. I think that sounds like a phrase. I'm
Starting point is 00:22:38 trying to remember the Nazi zombie characters now. Richthofen was the German who was a little silly, right? Yeah. What was the American's name? Dempsey. Dempsey. Dempsey. Right. The German guy would go around and like pull levers and it would be like, oh, that is troublesome. Oh, he's a zombie. He was having no fun with the zombie situation. At least the German. Yeah, the German, Russian, American guy all were having a little bit of fun.
Starting point is 00:23:12 He's all business. You want to play the the new zombies? The new cod apparently has brand new zombies. Lots of crazy stuff. It's been so many years since I've played zombies. I feel remember I'm playing over- I remember playing- That's probably the last time I played, was with you years ago on that map with like-
Starting point is 00:23:29 Dominating. Like buses in the middle of it. It felt a little bit easy. There were flying zombies. It got too easy. Yeah, it really wasn't. And then, yeah, it was like some of the zombies were like robot suit guys.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Yeah, that's still a thing. I watched the trailer and there's more robot suit guys who were like, and they're the big blaster air guns and you know, it's always the same shit. I wanted it to be more about kiting and shooting the zombies, almost more mindless. And they were always, they always went so fucking hard with those ridiculous Easter. You played Diablo, right? I played Diablo 4. Yeah. I think I played with you a bit. Yeah. I was going to say Diablo can kind of be mindless like that once you get into your like button Diablo went from fun to boring so
Starting point is 00:24:12 Rapidly like it was usually when you like even Skyrim does a better job I always come back to Skyrim because it's such a good you didn't feel connected to the world or the character at all Yeah, you don't care about the world. It doesn't feel as real or in-depth It's an arena to be in you don't care about the world. It doesn't feel as real or in-depth. It's an arena to be in. You don't care. Like, at least in Skyrim, it took a long time and it was gradual until suddenly it was like, oh, my stealth archer gets such ridiculous bonuses from these gloves that I'm one-shotting dragons hidden in plain sight, where you kill them before their landing animation ends and still they land and then immediately just fall apart and turn into bones. You hear the warning music dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun and this. I think if my math is right, which is pretty simple math, I should have an infinite number of corpses to explode. But that can't possibly be how the game works. It would ruin the game. And that's what it was. I had an infinite, I could hold X and win. I don't know
Starting point is 00:25:15 if you ever went to the hardest dungeons because later they made it. You had like, I don't remember exactly, but there were like tokens you had to get rare tokens to like go into the rare Dungeons and they were fucking hard but but you get a Interest before I I just Summoned a bunch of ghouls to do my bidding and then blew up corpses. Yeah, you only did one character I must have done two characters maxed out or something. I have a good one character up. It's like what do I want to do? Oh, I had a friend with all the other characters
Starting point is 00:25:45 And so I could see what they were doing and I was like now corpse explosion guys still the coolest anyone I build into isn't gonna end up somewhere as cool as this guy and this guy's pretty OP So I'm I'm done with this game. My girlfriend's playing alien isolation. You ever play that never heard of it No, well, um, they're actually making a new one on the on the back of the new alien movie. I think it's doing OK. But basically, it's I don't remember when it came out a few years ago on console. I'm sure it's on PC. It's just a game game.
Starting point is 00:26:14 But it's it's like Ellen Ripley's daughter from the Alien series is on a space station. And it's one of those creep around and try not to get attacked by the alien games while you like solve mysteries. It's too fucking boring for me. I'm sitting there watching her play it. I'm like, baby, it's been 30 fucking minutes. You haven't done anything. He's like, it's building. But sure enough, like eventually you're getting stalked by the alien from the alien movies, the xenomorph. That's pretty fucking scary. There's also these bots like AI bots that are malfunctioning and trying to
Starting point is 00:26:50 trying to beat you to death the whole time. And I, but I'm mad because we finally got a gun and like, it's useless. Like it's just, it's paperweight. Like no matter how many times you shoot things, they don't die. They just get angrier at you. Do, uh, do you, speaking of scary games, this was like well over 10 years ago now or so. Do you remember this playable trailer game that can't playable teaser PT that came out on it was either PlayStation or Xbox?
Starting point is 00:27:19 And it was it was like a Silent Hill game, but it was only a trailer and you like started in this creepy ass hallway, an unsettling, disturbing thing start happening, and you're in a time loop and there's a bunch of random stuff you have to do in the correct order. Like look at a painting of you and your dead wife, and then wait for the faucet to turn on. And then when you hear a child laughing, you have to go into the mirror and look in the mirror. And if you see the go into the mirror and look in the mirror.
Starting point is 00:27:45 And if you see the ghoulish woman behind you in the mirror, don't turn around or you lose, you know, look down at the wall. Like a bunch of stuff like that. I remember my girlfriend at the time. This is probably 10 years ago. She was obsessed with those types of games and I did not want to play it. It was scary. It was really fucking scary. And she'd be like, all right, I have online the things I'm supposed to do, but I'm too spooked. So you play it. And so I'm just like having to sit there and be like, yeah, as if I even care. Looking at it and I'm so frightened trying to play the big man. I would like I can't believe you guys don't remember the only game I've ever played that frightened me and it's probably for because I haven't played a lot of scary games But it's dead space that space one was really fucking scary to me
Starting point is 00:28:32 But I'd like to play a genuinely scary game like that that isn't just jump scares But is more of an atmospheric creepy thing like you're describing. I've seen games where you're late all the time That might have been Slenderman. Yes, that. Yeah, that. I. Before I played that game, I hated it mostly because of the YouTube scene around it, where people would overreact to how scared they were. And I'm like, this is so fucking not scary. it's stupid. And then I played it for the first time and it was in the dark and the audio was way scarier than I expected it to be. And I had this headset on, so the audio was perfect.
Starting point is 00:29:15 And I was in boxers and the cord to my headset just like sort of barely brushed the top of my thigh. And I was like, what the fuck? It's just the head. Barely brushed the top of my thigh Isn't that the isn't that the worst like you do that and even if you're alone you like have to like fake it for something I was like, ah, I'm not scared. I thought it was a B I get spooked so easily and I respond to it with such a feminine scream. I just have to own it I just have to own it. I just have to own it. I've heard it in Tarkov.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Oh, when I get, again, Tarkov can be this game where there's monotony for eight minutes and then just a goddamn shit show firefight. And when that happens, if everything's all quiet and you hear birds chirping and cuckoo, cuckoo, and then just someone starts machine gunning you down. And then the game when you get shot in the head if you if you don't Die if it like bitches ricochets off your helmet or your helmet stops the bullet. It's like wow
Starting point is 00:30:12 It's like whack and then every every you hear Yeah, you're tonight and everything's foggy all of a sudden and it's and you're trying to you're discombobulated You're trying to find the guy who's shooting you right now because he didn't stop at the one shot. He's letting them he's letting them fly And and you and you're just like spraying and their general direct ice cream Like it'll scare the fucking shit out of me I also like curse a lot when I die like if I get mad I curse I don't break things or hit things we've about this before, but but I definitely curse a lot at AI and nonsensical things and games and myself.
Starting point is 00:30:48 Well, you fucking idiot. This is really shitting on myself. Just just you can't. Oh, yeah. Is that part of it? It's a good thing you brought three hundred bullets, Kyle. I part of you gets like I've talked about this before, where like you'll catch yourself getting mad at a video game and then you'll almost make yourself laugh over that where it's like, I'm worried about this.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Like this is causing me stress. It takes me too long to reach that. That stage is 40 minutes after the fact. Yeah. There was one time I was not always perfect. I was struggling with a hard character in Elden Ring. This is recently. Jackie gave me some advice that was bad.
Starting point is 00:31:25 And afterwards I was like, all right, that death was on you. And she goes, oh, you think? You think you would have won that time if it wasn't for me? Like that's not the standard. The standard is that was better. I think I'd have done better. Yeah, exactly, I'd have done better than that. Why don't you go help Kyle?
Starting point is 00:31:44 He's trying to win his eighth game of the day over there. So you guys know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:50 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:57 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:04 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. you use this mid combat a lot and I'll be like pressing down four times to switch from like a healing potion to a magic potion or something like that and if you hit it sideways by accident a little bit or maybe diagonal it puts your sword away and I'm like I never if I wish I could tell the game in advance I don't wish to engage in fist fights with any fire giants or dragons or fucking Sentient trees can't fix that. Yeah, no sort of thing that I go in and like you remap the hotkey Yeah, I rem yeah, I'll move it so far away I used to always do this thing where I slam my mouse into my keyboard like not on purpose, but while I'm gaming I'm swiping really quick and the left side of my mouse would hit the right side
Starting point is 00:32:48 of my keyboard and it would change the goddamn sensitivity because it's got a fast swap sensitivity and I went in and I deleted that. I'm like never do this again. I have a button that changes the sensitivity but now there's only one choice so you just change it to the same thing. I can't imagine there being a single situation in all of Elden Ring. There are. Oh, in Elden Ring now. You have your sword out. Right. It's a flex. Like sometimes people will beat the whole game and then go back to the very first boss that you skip and fist fight him. Oh okay. That's kind of you know, once you're like level 150, you come back to this childhood bully and show them what's what. I remember like the first time I played through
Starting point is 00:33:30 Skyrim, I just thought that all the rulers and like towns people were always kind of surly towards you just in the, in the city, because I was walking around with like flame hands on everywhere. And so just every city would be like, good to see you Dragonborn, but you're making us nervous. Walking around doing that. Why? It's Skyrim like, I think. I might like it looks cool. It just also I can see myself getting frustrated. But those bosses. You really have to use the online guides. It looks cool. It just also I can see myself getting frustrated but those
Starting point is 00:34:12 Bosses you really have to use the online guides because it doesn't like something about Skyrim I think you could press a button and it would tell you the path to walk right? No, that was dead space Skyrim didn't have that at all. Look us. No, you could set way now map, but it wasn't automatic Maybe that's something in have in any case. The map up to use it too. When I played Skyrim, I always knew where to go. In Elden Ring, it is much more free flowing. If you're so wildly talented that you can beat late game stuff with an early game character,
Starting point is 00:34:37 then you're kind of free to do that. But the experience Kyle had playing it on day one before there was a wealth of internet sites telling you like the order you should do things must have been impossible. Yeah, I didn't look up anything on how to play Skyrim when I first got it in 2011 or whatever. And so I assumed the main questline
Starting point is 00:34:56 would be more difficult than it was. I think I did the entire rest of the game first. And so like, then when I eventually make it back to Whiterun and I'm like running into starting bandits, they're like, who are you? And I'm like wearing the, the, the Assassin Guild King's head on a spike. I'm the greatest thief in the land. At that time, I didn't know man, it wasn't until like my fourth or fifth playthrough that game that I realized there's only one objectively correct way to start Skyrim every time.
Starting point is 00:35:27 You skip everything, you go to the Thieves Guild, you do the Thieves Guild quest until they give you the Skeleton Key, which is a lockpick that can't break, and then you don't finish the Thieves Guild quest and you play the entire rest of the game never worried about the lockpick bullshit nonsense. I was just going to mention, I don't know how to pick locks in Skyrim. I've picked a few of the simplest locks. People were making montages out of how bad I am at picking
Starting point is 00:35:53 locks on YouTube. Oh, that's why you don't do it. It's not that I never thought picking locks was that difficult in the game. I don't know. It was also like, I was never ever, you were never going to catch me putting a point of skill in the lock picking tree that's ridiculous that's absurd and so you just get the thieves skilled skeleton gi
Starting point is 00:36:12 and then you can just hammer fist those locks no deft at all just cranking it from every possible position and it doesn't break gets rid of and it doesn't I don't think it gets rid of any of the fun because there was nothing more frustrating in that game than being like oh I've got four position and it doesn't break. It gets rid of a... I don't think it gets rid of any of the fun. Because there was nothing more frustrating in that game than being like, oh I've got four lock picks left and I'm on an expert level chest on the hardest difficulty. So there's one atom of space here that will open this. I like mods that get rid of lock picking in one way or another or replace it. Like oftentimes you'll break the door down in one way or another or force the lock or Blow it up like they had they use explosives or guns or a crowbar to just have an alternative It's like odd. Do you want to put your skills and strength instead?
Starting point is 00:36:54 Because then you could just kick that bitch in like I like that more that is better Same with I guess pickpocketing was fun sometimes But that was that was something Skyrim had where oh you use a map genie for Elden Ring that's where scum sent me yeah they're really good i've got a premium account over there i don't know if you do but i don't what is that oh oh it's everybody just it's just when i when i log in oh shit premium member here kyle's here it's access to uh some of the more in-depth maps for Tarkov. I think you can open the interchange one there, but you said you couldn't open the streets of Tarkov one.
Starting point is 00:37:31 This is an example, Taylor, of a medium-sized map and all the little points of interest, but it's kind of hard to even get an idea for the detail because it's all obscured by the points of interest. The big map, if you click hide all, yeah, under 10 to 14 players, if you click hide all, it's above obscured by the points of interest. The big map, if you click hide all, yeah, under 10 to 14 players, if you click hide all. Oh, okay. It's above the search bar.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Yeah, and then you can zoom in on all the little rooms. This map is so complicated. Interchange is one I have a hard time. I would do a lot of scab runs on it just so I'd learn my way around a little bit more. I bet Kyle knows it. But to know how to get places scab runs on it just so I'd learn my way around a little bit more. I bet Kyle knows it. But to know how to get places is like the first level of knowing. Then you start knowing where people
Starting point is 00:38:12 are at different time points in the raid, where the sounds of guns so you know if a boss is there, then you know like lines of sight. There's so much to know to know that map well that maps medium-sized streets of Tarkov It might be Might be three of those or something like that. It's it's so goddamn big So I've got the map on my second monitor and I'm like I only now after Probably 300 hours of playing that map kind of know my way around but I mean kinda I It's ridiculous like like That map genie web website is a great resource, but cause I couldn't play the game or a bunch of other games if it weren't for
Starting point is 00:38:49 it. Yeah. Yeah. Last bit of gaming chat, Kyle, age of mythology in two weeks. If you want a new game, exciting, very exciting. Is that the way you play? You play a right age of empires, age of mythology is a totally different. Yeah. Well, this one you can make centaurs and fucking titans and stuff. Kyle and I played that one before, except we played the original one, which I like tried to look at the graphics of the original one recently.
Starting point is 00:39:23 And I'm like, huh, did they make them worse? This isn't this isn't what I remember. This looks like an iPhone were three years later. They slow it down. Yeah Just straight polygons Just no detail to the little characters at all So they remastering it same game look better or making a new there I think they're changing some fundamental stuff about the game same game look better or making a new one? I think they're changing some fundamental stuff about the game, just like a lot of quality of life stuff. And then they also, it's on a whole new engine.
Starting point is 00:39:49 So it'll look good and hopefully run smooth. So I'm excited to try it out. Who knows if I, it's a good chance I try it out and I'm like, oh, this is fun. But it's not as good as the OE, I'm going back to that. Quality of life stuff is so important. Like, all right, so I'm playing Elden Ring and there's this mechanic where if you get a hit
Starting point is 00:40:07 in some way, I don't know what causes it, while riding your horse, to summon your horse the next time it costs you a health potion. So this happens in the hottest of situations. If there's a monster rough enough to kill your horse while you're riding it, you're in a hotspot. So you summon your new horse and then it pops up a dialogue box. Hey, do you want to burn a health potion summoning this
Starting point is 00:40:31 horse? And it defaults to no. Meanwhile, there's a 90 foot giant with his fist coming down that you're running from and they changed the default to yes. And I'm like, that's actually a really good improvement. You're not like trying to quick finger it and you don't accidentally fat finger it on. And if they change the default to yes, and I'm like that's actually a really good You're not like trying to you know quick finger it and you don't accidentally fat finger it off No, I didn't mean to hit no and now no one there Giants hammer and I'm dead Yeah, that sounds that sounds like a real problem Yeah, I do like games when you can play with a bunch of guys though and people can fuck up When it I like that like that that alone doesn't matter the game it doesn't ever playing raft and somebody like
Starting point is 00:41:10 like fuck stuff there that's funny but my favorite example is rust though like I remember one time there was a bunch of us very new to the game and somebody else was like hey you guys they were taking pity on us and they like come to our place and you see that building over there it has lots of goodies in it you go in that building all those goodies are yours here's the key to the building later we're leaving the server so we're all in this building getting all those free goodies and we're about to leave but we can hear people outside so I'm like be quiet nobody move a muscle and somebody alt tabs back in and shoots a shotgun.
Starting point is 00:41:48 And now the people outside are like, what y'all doing in there? And it's like, fuck. And like the consequences of this situation in that game are that like, we've got hours and hours worth of work and goods on our bodies. Like, we really can't just just log out or we can't just like walk out of here and die like we have to wait until they give up. And then we had to sit in there for like 45 minutes and we're in discord like, do not alt tab out. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Don't you watch a fuck, I don't care. Listen, you watch whatever YouTube video comes up. Don't you alt tab. You fucking alt tab. Why does alt tab shoot the gun? Like how is that a rip? Like he alt tab to go to his other thing and somehow or another,
Starting point is 00:42:26 like between left clicking and alt tabbing, he didn't know what screen he was controlling and he shot his gun off end game. And it was just, I mean, we're in a building, we're covered in rockets. We have so much valuables on us. And now the people outside are like, what's going on in there?
Starting point is 00:42:43 This is suspicious. Hey Ed, get the others. Did he get kicked out of the group or did you forgive him? Honestly, yeah. Yeah, that was Slate. For those of you who are like uber OGs, there's like five people that know that name. That was Slate. He had a real... I like to smoke weed, but like man he was stupid to begin with
Starting point is 00:43:06 so like diminishing the stupid with weed took him to a place of imbecility that that yeah you can play games too much. I was that imbecile. I was playing Tarkov. I think I was with Larry and and in Tarkov having the information advantage, right? So we know someone and Larry's like, don't move. So my new head is like, all right, I'm not going to move. I'll just, you know, change magazines a little bit, maybe get down on my belly. These are all noisy. He wants me to be like to be completely silent, like hands up. And I thought he wanted me to stay in this area.
Starting point is 00:43:44 I gave away our position I think he's still beasted everybody but yeah yeah that's that's one of those things when I'm playing with new people I tell them it was like there's gonna be times when I tell you to freeze you got to stop moving immediately because it means I'm I think I hear a bad guy moving and he's gonna hear us at the same time so he's gonna try to stop moving so that so that I don't like cue in on exactly where he is and he's going to try to stop moving so that I don't like Q in on exactly where he is. And he's going to sit there and not move a goddamn muscle for 30 minutes if he has to.
Starting point is 00:44:09 So we walk by. So fun. Honest building. If Tarkov was full of... And look, it's not fair of me to say because you can play the game however you want to. But if Tarkov was full of people who played the game, I would like to play the game. We kind of ran around. You don't have to run around like a chicken with your head cut off, but like go about your business, do your thing. But God damn it. Don't sit in the dark black corner or camp extracts. That just ruins the game almost as much as shooters. It can be so discouraging after you. You'll spend 40 minutes and you
Starting point is 00:44:41 will basically win the day. You've killed everything that stood before you and you're so heavy that you can barely walk with goodies that you've won through combat. And you're that's the door right there and you have to stand next to that door for 10 seconds and then it counts down and then you go back to your stash and you sell all your goodies. You're free but there's a guy who knows that and he's sitting like in a dark, creepy corner and Taylor, he's not like Woody. He knows not to move muscle. So much so that he pulled the pin on that grenade 37 minutes ago and he did this little keyboard trick where you all you tab out. So his arm just stays cocked back. So he's been sitting there like this. So all he has to do is click back into the game window
Starting point is 00:45:26 and then- No, no, no. When he clicks back in, his arm stays cocked back like he's holding left triggers. And now he's just sitting there with an impact grenade, one that explodes instantaneously when he hits something. And he's just been sitting in that dark corner for 37 fucking minutes just waiting. And he heard you coming the whole way and he's going,
Starting point is 00:45:40 they're coming, they're coming. He's so jazzed because he just clicks one button yeah yeah he's like if people played like me of course i play like that sometimes but if you want to like i say i do they'll do it to us and it'll it'll it like violence against violence so so we'll be like you know what everybody will be discouraged after somebody does that to us and they'll be like hey you want to go you want to go do it too that discouraged after somebody does that to us and they'll be like, hey, you want to go, you want to go do it too?
Starting point is 00:46:07 That'll make us feel better to turn this around and be the, you know, be the victimizer, not the victim anymore. Like take back your power. It's like a, it's like a, like a, it's like a molester who you got diddles as a kid.
Starting point is 00:46:18 On the other hand, that extract mechanic, now I'm the molester. Good for this reason. Like I'll say, you're heavy, you're barely walking, your footsteps are loud, your character is slow, you've won the day. This load that you have now is gonna enable six hours of future gameplay.
Starting point is 00:46:34 This is how great you've done. But you know there might be an extra camper. Even if there isn't one, you're checking your corner, you're checking your six, you're looking all over. It is a relief the moment you escape from Tarkov because it just means more if there were no extract campers Extracting wouldn't be so high stakes and exciting They're they're discouraging the extract camping camping with the new boss somehow or another they've made My guess is the way it's coded is that killing someone at extract?
Starting point is 00:47:04 Really hurts your player karma but in some way or another they... Pardon? Why does that matter? I don't know. Because that's what extra camping is. That's sitting there at the extract and waiting on somebody. No I mean karma.
Starting point is 00:47:16 This boss will care about your karma and hunt you. Now there's a super AI that's going to be running around trying to go after you. Kill the people who are acting like shitheads. Yeah I hope landmark intentionally lowers his karma so that he gets to like abuse this boss I wonder if he's playing Tarkov. He's been playing arena breakout because that's It's it's having its second like thing of content or whatever He's been playing that but it'd be hard to resist the money of Tarkov wipes and now that he hasn't been playing Tarkov too
Starting point is 00:47:47 But as of the last week or so, I think our last few days has been playing arena breakout huh, I Don't think he's playing right now. No, he's not probably hasn't played all day. I was I was watching pastilly play a little bit earlier It's so funny to watch him go through those initial tasks. He's so good at it. Like he's done it so, so, so many times. Like pastilly old Max counts out and like, although Trey 24K or whatever,
Starting point is 00:48:14 he got two Kappas last, this white Woody. Like just for fun. And then he reset it and he just resets the account. And like a week later, he's right back to Max Traders every time. So it's wild how good that guy is. Yeah, it there's different ways to be good at that game I I like the way Landmark does it just abusing everyone in PvP. I like the way pastille does it till it's a three-time Champion, right? I think he is
Starting point is 00:48:39 Thinking of the champ champ. I heard the doc is coming back, but I haven't heard any more You know, he had that that that curious tweet where he was Literally playing checkers with a child and then a chest with a child And and then nothing more but but I'm I went to his subreddit today And they were theorizing that he wasn't coming back as soon as he says because the line of thinking went like this He streams for money. He's not doing this for love of video games he doesn't really really really want to play whatever the fuck he's been playing again and right now he's demonetized everywhere like you know kick doesn't want him Twitter like it would be
Starting point is 00:49:18 a thing I guess what do we see vacation is just too good right now. We'll be back soon. That was six days ago. Yeah, vacation is too good, right? Whatever. Like, only a moron would believe that he's staying away because vacation's so great. He's staying away because he got caught
Starting point is 00:49:38 being an aspiring pedophile, and now he's been banned from like everywhere. Or at least demonetized. That it's just because he's having so much fun on vacation. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, I think it's the part about him trying to fuck children that he's talking about. He is in Thailand, but that's not, that's not really.
Starting point is 00:49:56 I love the way that in other YouTube news, Chris from MrBeast and DrDisrespect are in Cambodia. They do love the curry. YouTube stuff. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, they're like, he's not going to come back until someone's willing to monetize him. But who's that going to be? Rumble? Interesting. Well, I don't care either way. I don't know. I've never watched his... I always like an opportunity to talk about DrDisrespect.
Starting point is 00:50:23 I know you really ate him it's it's it's yep it's you just wished he was messaging you those sweet nothings yeah gripping it Woody yeah right while he's gripping it I'll send them my nudes well that is an interesting way to handle this situation you You post a checkers versus chessboard with the pieces. I don't even think 100 percent in the right spot. Well, he was he was in the middle of his play. So, of course, they've moved around a bit. Yeah, but he would have been able
Starting point is 00:50:56 he would have gone three times without his opponent going once. I think they might be playing a game we're not familiar with, Taylor. If you notice, there are checkers pieces and chess pieces I'm saying I Think it's family night rules. I think I think the draw fours and and everything are in the deck How did you do that with with with so I've been told now that i've a man man-grown last couple years Um, i've been told that most people's family nights involve not using the rules that come with una That they just string together like reverse reverse draw four draw two draw four just like pound you with the cards
Starting point is 00:51:38 Is that the what? No, you have to play something that's the same color or the same number or the same card type You can string your like like you can reverse it back to you and and play another someone plays a green reverse And I have a red reverse. I can play a reverse on top of a reverse card What about the draw cards? Did you stack draw cards? Like did you go draw two then draw four then draw four? I think the draw cards are also colored other than like the The all color but if you give me a draw two, but you can have multiple draw two and send you back to get four
Starting point is 00:52:13 No, no, I if I if you have a you're the rare exception everybody else If you have a green draw two and you draw two to me and then I have a yellow draw two and I do that That just means that the person, cause I didn't reverse it, that would just mean that Kyle now draws two. Yeah, see you and I played the game the right way. Most people will stack and save their power up cards and they'd be like, oh, it's a bad day for you.
Starting point is 00:52:37 First of all, it's like draw this, draw that. Back to me, back to you, reverse. The color is now blue, draw two. That is not how you play Uno. How is that? That's how most people play Uno. Apparently Taylor and Milton Bradley don't know how to play this game. No, this is I would be so frustrated if someone tried doing that in Uno.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Yeah, I think the rule is if Taylor hits me with a draw two and I respond with a draw two We've both drawn two but the way some people play is I hit you with a draw two now you have four Oh, I would do it clockwise still so well in this case is two players. Oh two players I don't think you really do two players and have much fun in, you know, you need you need more someone to be the You know the card carrying slut that just just gets hit with reverses the whole time. Someone who knows they're not going to win, so you can just send bad things towards them. It's a politics game, really. Nah, it's more about who gets the most draw for us. We played that game a ton, we played poker a ton, and we played Monopoly occasionally.
Starting point is 00:53:43 But we finished so few games of Monopoly, it's upsetting to me. Monopoly sucks. It's just not that game a ton, we played poker a ton, and we played Monopoly occasionally. But we finished so few games of Monopoly, it's upsetting to me. Monopoly sucks, it's just not that fun a game. I like the pieces and the board and the money and everybody's in a circle and like, there's a lot going on, you know? There's a lot to pay attention to. It's a good time as long as you're not taking it
Starting point is 00:53:59 too, too seriously. If you play the online version, it goes fast. It's not a four hour game. Suddenly it's a 40 minute game or something tops. Yeah, it's fun. I'm ready to. So for me, games of monopoly, I lifetime, I would put my percent complete risk games at probably 15%, 20%, maybe like risk is a game that even starting it, it's like, all
Starting point is 00:54:23 right, let's enjoy this for a while and then put it away with hundreds of pieces on the board before dinner. I guess I would that fun. We play Trivial Pursuit. When you're a child, Trivial Pursuit is so hard. And when you're an adult, they're just asking you about shit you lived through. Like some movie that came out eight years before I was born is common knowledge to mom and dad. Yeah. I never liked that about Trivial Pursuit because I never understood it even as a kid.
Starting point is 00:54:55 I'm like, why is this so about the 80s? Everything's about it. All the culture questions, like, oh, culture. Maybe they'll ask me about Spongeongebob or something. 10 year old me knows. And it'd be like, no, this this 1979 R&B artist recorded the song Moonlight. And it's like my dad will know it. My mom will know it. I wouldn't. I hated Trivial Pursuit. I like it now. I like the online versions of board games because they go fast. All that we're going to and the rules are enforced by the game like like there's there's never that moment
Starting point is 00:55:26 Some goes. Oh, actually, you can't do that You know We put the money in free parking in the middle and we take it when we land on free parking way We don't we don't do it that way Then you end up with a Tony Soprano beat down at the cabin people have to Bobby Bocchieri has to go murder somebody some Canadian big fat sock All I had to do was staple the instructions to the inside the box like a like a sane person as Andy Bernard put it Yeah
Starting point is 00:55:51 I've pretty much finished the office like that double reference. Yes, you're double dipping with your with your pop culture I once again lost interest in the office after Michael left. Oh, you don't like Will Ferrell Will Ferrell was very brief. I liked when he killed himself by dunking. Yes, that was hilarious. That was funny. But the British TV sucks. She's not fun. Oh, she's the worst character in the show. Ellie is dreadful. I like Kathy Bates. She's fine. Robert's good. When Robert comes in and becomes late, they hire him as manager and then he takes one look around and sees the ick that he runs drives straight to Florida Convinces the CEO to give him her job and fire and now he's the boss of bosses
Starting point is 00:56:36 But then he immediately goes through a life-altering divorce where he doesn't he's completely aimless and doesn't care about life anymore And and everything goes into a spiral I like that part this is Robert California yeah that's ridiculous fake name you don't even know my real name don't even I'm the fucking lizard king that was funny I liked okay yeah of the bosses I liked him because he was just weird and and was very uncomfortable around everyone. Was there a fat woman who was the boss at one point? Kathy Bates. Yeah, that was before Robert California. I kind of remember liking her.
Starting point is 00:57:13 I liked her. She was fun. Andy as the boss is the worst part of the show. Like he's he's a worse version of Michael in every single way in a mass. Just not like 50% worse, like 98% worse. So at the end of the show, they wanna recapture the Jim Pam thing,
Starting point is 00:57:33 but now Jim and Pam are like fucking married and have kids. So they don't have anywhere to go with that story. Like, what are you gonna do, kill a kid? Make them single again? So they immediately do the Aaron relationship with Andy and then they don't know where to go. So they just ruin both characters and have Andy become a piece of shit out of nowhere
Starting point is 00:57:51 and neglect her. And then because now they want Aaron to date the new guy, fucking, I can't think of his fucking name, the young guy they added as an intern or whatever. Pete. Yeah, and they tried to shoehorn relationships in over and over to recapture that old season one season or season two, season three shit with Jim and Bam. But nobody gave a fuck. It wasn't just a relationship. It was that they had a uniquely
Starting point is 00:58:15 interesting relationship. And without Michael, like you said, you need some they needed to bring somebody big. They needed to replace him and spend some money. If your football team lost their quarterback, you wouldn't just be like, all right, who else we got? No, we're a free agent. Who are we going to get? They did the money ball thing where they're like, we can't replace Michael Scott, but we can complete replace him in the composite and just throw.
Starting point is 00:58:42 That guy's not funny, but he gets laughs. But he's not funny. How many laughs did you get last last 15 minutes? Three. I got four. He fell down. Yep. Twice. That's a lot. Yeah, twice. That's a lot. Anytime you see that happen in a TV show where it's like, oh, season 11 rolled around and like two brand new, clearly not going to be funny characters like those interns show up. It's like, oh, we're at the end. We're in the death throes.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Do you think a comedy is hard to do? Do you are you aware? Did you know that Grey's Anatomy is still fucking happening every week? That that fresh-eyed fresh-faced intern who was just getting into her medical practice at the beginning has is now infertile like As in like menopausal Yeah, like she's like a 50 year old woman now or something like that Like she's still very attractive or whatever, but that lady was a little girl when this show started This is like days of our lives at this point
Starting point is 00:59:48 Like I I I wonder how many of the original actors are still on the show is sandra o still on there? Because everybody's so goddamn old. They should be running their own hospital. Like aren't you nearing retirement? So this has been on for 20 years. Well one's been approved How Her name's like Meredith grace or something Meredith. What's the fucking main character's name? I wonder how old that actress is at this point, dude. I'm trying to show you this picture of her Yeah, I want to find a difference between I'm not shitting on her cuz everybody gets older whatever I get every ages But the shows the show doesn't have to keep going on forever. Why is the stuff going?
Starting point is 01:00:29 I think my parents watched this brief what it would be like a desperate housewives We're still on and and then evil Longoria was just looking rough Although Terry Hatch is probably still hot right mean evil Longoria is also probably like what can you show this picture? Zach this is what she looks like now Yeah, let's let's see what Ellen Pompeo Made-up name Ellen pump pump a all Zack oh here. We are oh you can't see your face quite right zoom in on that Okay, so left is 20 years she. She morphed into Dreah Mateo.
Starting point is 01:01:08 So she looks almost exactly like, what's Christopher's girlfriend from Sopranos? Adrienne. Like Adrienne, when she got a little bit older. Like she's got the, I think it's a plastic surgery and like filler thing that gives you that face. Cause see her, her cheeks are all plump. Yeah, very pursed. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:24 The lips are pursed and they must be hard to get as a woman in Hollywood. Yeah, I didn't really want to rip on that that lady. I just wanted to point out that like this show has been on the air for way too fucking long. That picture on the right was 10 years ago, by the way. That picture on the right was when she was for a fresh or 40. OK, like like like. How old is she now? I don't know. I would guess.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Forty nine, maybe. I would guess 59 maybe I'm gonna call it a 51 You're gonna call that a cool 51 well ellen 54 54 Did you like that little stat I sent you the other day about the midgets? Because you guys are always like, oh call never sees a midget look down and you get up more season more midgets There's only 65 000 in the entire united States. That's a thousand per state, Taylor. If we're being generous, generous. Yeah, I guess it's not a lot of them, but I see them in public from time to time. Not complicated. Is there a racial skew for, for dwarfism? Do you think?
Starting point is 01:02:17 I don't know. I did. There was a homeless. No, I was going to say when I lived in the city, there was a black homeless guy who also was like some kind of arm crippled. You got like Gary Coleman and then from the guy from the Howard Stern show that the Zito juice. Yeah, maybe black people are overrepresented in the midget community. That's what they don't tell you. Oh, and also that little feller from the movies from Bad Santa, that little black fellow. I'm thinking about it. Other than Peter Dinklage and Verne Troyer.
Starting point is 01:02:54 Well, there's also the midget from Seinfeld that you're right. Kramer, those pamphlets of yours. Let's put that away. He's got the communists. There's only like what 13% of the US is black. So we should be able to easily that low like six times as many white midgets off the top of our heads. If it's that low 13% of the US is white.
Starting point is 01:03:20 No black black. I think a lot more here. Well, you are in Atlanta and so about 30% of that 13% is in your neck of the woods. I was like it's more than 30. I'm pretty sure that it's like 51 or 52% black and like I remember I was looking for an apartment out here one time and I was in a I don't remember what part of town I was in and I didn't know where I was going, but I just remembered the only white people in that neighborhood were me and the guy showing the house and, and they were like four or five other couples there also looking at this house
Starting point is 01:03:56 and they were all black. They were all black people. And I, I didn't think anything out. I was like, Oh, a lot of black people today. And then we're like drove out of the place and left and I was like, find a white person. Well, it's like Punch Buggy. You know, you're looking for a beetle. Let's spot a white person if you can. And, you know, we're in like four way to stop traffic, red lights and stuff moving up, moving up. We haven't seen a whitey.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Is that a Hispanic fuck? No, light skinned. That's just a light look. He's got cornrows. You can't count that guy. Yeah. I think it's almost unfair that if you're at all a little black, you're black, right?
Starting point is 01:04:35 Like you could be black and Asian. You can be black and white. Those are the rules. Yeah, but it just pumps up the numbers. Oh, I see. We call that the one drop rule down here Tiger woods picked tiger woods went seamlessly from the black side professional athlete to the asian side uh obsessive gambler
Starting point is 01:04:57 Like seamless transit the more he looks at more asian every year. Look at that guy. He's grown into it Yeah, he does get more asian every year because. He didn't have a good year of golf either See well father time. Yeah Yeah, oh well, oh, I didn't even notice we were over time. Well, it is time for dinner you guys Yeah, my stomach's rumbling. I could eat pk and 522
