Concern about your gambling or that is someone close to you. Call 1866-531-2600 to visit connectxontera.ca. P.KN 635, day early. What's up, boys?
Starting point is 00:01:04 Hello. It's going on. Not too much. Apparently, neither of you have heard this story. It surprises me a little bit, Woody, because it was, it's Eagles related. It's about the PB. It's about Jalen Hertz. Yeah, yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Was apparently suffering blood clots in his lungs. Leg. Before, no, in his lungs now is, and in his leg as well. He's apparently got him, which is very dangerous. And the doctor is. London because he was doing like a London games thing apparently was like you it's too risky for you to fall asleep you can't fall asleep and the response to that was for him to stay up for 36 hours straight and then the Eagles played him in an NFL football game anyway and now he's out
Starting point is 00:01:49 you know for however long this takes it very well could be the end of his career you're like terrible look for the NFL terrible look for whoever the GM or the coach of the Eagles that whoever made that call because he's going to sue him. And like that, that's cruel. I think that he would have a case for it of like the doctor told me it was too dangerous to sleep. And so they told me to fight the fittest men on the planet the next day without sleep. It was like, all right.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Yeah, he's out for the season. I've heard. Zach said something similar. I want to say, they knew he had clots before the game, but they didn't know how bad it was until after the game, so that's the thing. I wonder, my own theory,
Starting point is 00:02:38 and this comes from, you know, just my hat and from nothing really reliable. Is he on EPO? Why is this prime athlete at like 29 years old suffering from blood clots everywhere if he's not on a performance-enhancing drug that gives you more endurance? EPO is the name of that drug and it causes blood clots.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Is that right? It does cause blood clots. It's popular in MMA. Well, I don't know if it's popular because I don't think there's a lot of hard to catch variants, but it's used in MMA sometimes. And it's in cycling, they're like all of them are on it.
Starting point is 00:03:12 EPO more than even testosterone is like the primary cycling drug. And I'm like every time I see some guy who's like one of the fittest people, people on earth. Top point one percent, I would assume, I know quarterback of the NFL, has all these blood clot issues.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I'm like, bro, you're on ped, you're on performance and has he drug. He's my quarterback, right? He's my right,
Starting point is 00:03:38 pull for Philadelphia. I mean, you know, well, we're going to avoid that test. We don't want that test each time. Oh, you don't even need to do any,
Starting point is 00:03:46 we already know what we took out. So, so EPO works by making your body produce more red blood cells, which makes your blood more viscous, which can lead to blood clots. But it also allows you to carry
Starting point is 00:04:00 a tremendous amount of oxygen in your bloodstream. So for endurance athletes, it's way better. My testosterone makes me also produce a lot of red blood cells, and I have to give blood regularly to try to lower the...
Starting point is 00:04:14 When I give blood, it's purple. It's... Is that to, like, lower clot risk for the same reason? And I think blood pressure as well. think. But just the hemacrit level, I think, is the thing that you would look at. I think that is the number of the concentration, perhaps, of red blood cells in your blood. But that's an easily testable thing for him. Yeah. I had no idea that there was even a PED that caused all this.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Makes sense now hearing you guys explain it. Yeah, that does now seem like the most likely thing. For some reason, I didn't know he was like 28. I thought he'd been around for so long that he was old than that. No. To be fair, like getting hit in the legs all the time. by NFL bruisers is going to cause a lot of of soft tissue damage and clotting. I guess it's everywhere, even his internal organs. He had blood clots all over the place, right? He had his lungs and his legs.
Starting point is 00:05:03 They move around. That's the problem I suppose. I'm not a doctor, but that's... It's a genetic too. Sometimes, like, you just, people get a shit draw for something. Like, they... I would lean toward pets. People have had, like, heart attacks in professional sports. He's the perfect guy to be taking pets. A 28-year-old who might be losing a quarter of a
Starting point is 00:05:19 step in a game where you always want to be gaining steps could easily be using. EPO or testosterone or the whole bag. I don't know how the testing works in NFL, but I think it's one of those situations where they test you twice a year and they let you know it's coming. There was this one dude on ESPN, and I saw people posting it being like,
Starting point is 00:05:36 prepare for the worst take you've heard in sports media today. And this guy's like, I played in the NFL. You know, I want to talk about Jalen Hertz for a little bit. I'm not making any accusations. I'm not saying anything, this, that, or the other. But I'm Jalen Hertz, and I look around, and my team's struggling, everybody else is hurt. I'm getting clobbered every night.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Maybe I just look at the coach. I say, I'm hurt too. I got something wrong with me too. He all but was on ESPN being like, fake her, fake her. And then the other guy's like, uh-huh, uh-huh. You know, I do think the clots are real. Maybe he ejected himself with them clots. Just a bad look for, but you know, I'm sure it was like the GM or the,
Starting point is 00:06:17 maybe he didn't even go up to the GM. Maybe the head coach of the Eagles was like, now we're making this happen. Get out there. play. You know, this is a big deal. You don't play if he don't want to play. You know, like he played because he wanted to play. That's on him.
Starting point is 00:06:30 That was my thinking, too. I wonder what would have happened if he said, like, I was really tired. They made me stay up the night before I couldn't play. What? Now we know how serious it is because the clots turn out to be everywhere and it's life threatening for now. I'm sure they're working the clots out. But at the, when he skipped the game. game or if he had skipped the game would the whole world have been like tough and up oh my gosh look
Starting point is 00:06:58 i was sleepy i went to work what's your problem that i think once it came out that he had like blood clots all over his body everyone would have said like oh thank goodness they didn't play him that would have been really stay right what would they have said on sunday is kind of where my head was because now i think everyone's on jalen's side if i heard that that he had had blood clots in his leg and that they made him stay up for 36 hours the night before the game, I would not want my quarterback to play for my team, regardless of what team that is. In any sport,
Starting point is 00:07:31 or I wouldn't want my fighter to fight, you know, like I wouldn't want any of that stuff to go down. Like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. He's been, the other people have been training for six months for this, and you're hurt, you slept,
Starting point is 00:07:40 you didn't sleep for a day and a half. If I don't sleep for 36 hours, I'm not me. My, the amount of brain fog I have, I can, like, feel the gears turning when I, when I like try to understand things after 36 hours of not sleeping. I'm not a quarter of what I am. Then it comes down to how good the backup is, right?
Starting point is 00:08:00 Like if we're pitching a baseball game and I'm your backup, let's take sleepy Kyle. Let's see sleepy Kyle in there. What is, what are throwing strikes one in ten? Yeah, if it was the church softball team, I'd understand.
Starting point is 00:08:12 But this is the Philly Eagles. They've got a backup. I don't know who it is, of course. It's not like you look at the sidelines, and there's Jalen Hertz, and then there's Mole Man from. the Simpsons where he's like, I think I can play. I think you're wrong.
Starting point is 00:08:26 We are looking to other squads backup squads. Like our quarterback is like off the practice squads now. They're not even other teams backups. They're not our own backup. We are going to people that have never played in NFL games before. So I don't think his backup was in a good spot. I'm a little light on details. But I know that's where we're going now.
Starting point is 00:08:48 I think we got Dallas's practice squad. QB. So you've got Tanner McKee. Not a deep bench this year for the American. So he is. Have a bad season. Get a good draft pick back in the mix, hopefully. Oh, yeah. We're looking like a top 10 draft team this year. That's the way to do it. If you're going to suck,
Starting point is 00:09:07 really suck. Like, suck to the max. I think you're right. You're definitely right with other sports. There's so many players on a football team. It's not like you can rebuild with a number one pick. Sure. Yeah. Not unless you get some generation. Is that played?
Starting point is 00:09:23 So, well, who's to say? But in 2024, he was the backup to Jalen Hertz, obviously, and he completed 30 of 45 passes for 323 yards, four touchdowns, and a 111-17-117 pass-pick. It's terrific. He was a sixth-round draft pick in 23. He played for Stanford. Okay, in fairness, I get a lot of my information from the NFC East Memes subreddit.
Starting point is 00:09:50 They only say mean things in there. They didn't think very highly of him. You're talking shit on this poor man from Stanford. He's like, geez, I'm doing my best. But the thing about getting the Dallas practice squad guy is true, but that must be our new backup to our backup. Yeah, of course. I mean, then you end up with a moleman situation
Starting point is 00:10:13 where you're like, hey, you play, you could throw it, right, Pete? I threw my kid. What are you talking about? I was saying Poo earns I was a quarterback in middle school all right
Starting point is 00:10:28 you're in you're in you start looking out in the crowd for tall guys at that point so shout out to Jalen Hertz hopefully he's not done for his career
Starting point is 00:10:38 because that would that's worse now since you said his age for some reason I thought he was like near the end like 35 36 we don't feel ditty for former Alabama
Starting point is 00:10:48 quarterbacks did he's Did he put from Bamma? Yeah, thankfully the Atlanta Falcons drafted, or not drafted, but they picked up Tua, Tugliavusa, or whatever the fuck his name is. He used to play for Alabama. They put the other night,
Starting point is 00:11:01 he had to go in for like one series and immediately threw a game losing interception. It was beautiful. It was like our other guys like Peanix, he was doing fine. I think he got hurt a little bit. He was roughed up. They're like, they're putting Tua in.
Starting point is 00:11:15 Let's see how it. Oh, no! It was instantaneous interception. beautiful. Yeah, I watched the Chiefs game, and the Chiefs did not look good at all. I've never seen, like, a professional team in any sport, like, not care their way to an easy victory. Like, Mahomes didn't throw a touchdown. He threw a horrible interception. Like, they, they look, everyone who follows the NFL, my friends were saying, like, do the Chiefs look terrible? Thank God, it's the Chargers. The Chargers were playing, like, every single person on their team, coaches,
Starting point is 00:11:49 included had money on the Chiefs. That's how bad they, it was unreal. They're 0 and 6th. Like the, their quarterback was all but like crying. Like in every single like fun fact, like it would be like Mahomes and they like the fun facts were like, you know, interesting thing. If he wins this game, it'll mean that both he and Tom Brady won their their 100th game, their 131st start.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Isn't that incredible? You know, we're really seeing a new thing here. Oh, it's going over to the Chargers. Now, did you know that this quarterback has been hit more in the past two games than any other QB in the entire season so far? And Mike Tyson in his entire career. That's right, Tom. He's actually been hit more times in the last three years than any QB in NFL history over the three years span. And they're like, it's true.
Starting point is 00:12:38 It's because of that O line. And there's a how many of them are all of them? And I'm like, oh, you mean it's because they're, you mean it's because they can't stop that. corn fed 6 foot 10 Chiefs guy from just barreling through like a cave troll and more it just cause you know how quarterbacks always take care of their
Starting point is 00:12:58 O line they like stand up for them they get them awesome Christmas gifts and something you take care of the people take care of you I wonder what do you get some for Christmas does he like here's some fucking leather gloves get out of here just like a here some barbells get to work
Starting point is 00:13:13 a spite gift like a block of Swiss so large there's no way to eat it before it rots in their mansion. Something that puts glitter in their house. I don't know. I see them holes in that cheese. Nothing like the holes in your line boy. You better walk out this off season.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Oh my God, get them swish cheese. I didn't put that together. I just sent me an envelope full of white powder again. That would be really scary for that guy. That would be really scary to play in that position and know that you weren't going to be protected and that when you're framing up, somebody might be coming from your blind side to
Starting point is 00:13:46 just, although now, like, The NFL is pretty, they're so protective of the quarterback, I guess I'll say. But really what they are is like, they're calling, targeting. They're being pussies about it. Like they don't let them hit the quarterback anymore. It's really lame. I've heard Tom Brady talk about it. He's like, this is nonsense.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Like the defense shouldn't have to baby the offense. Like they're doing their best to stop them from progressing, obviously. Like, let them do their best. It doesn't make any sense. I've seen some of the, especially on your boy, Mahomes, who I, of course, if I'm going to root for a team, I guess it's the Chiefs. Nice. There was a hit on Mahomes maybe two weeks ago that they called, I don't know if it was targeting, but it was definitely like a personal foul or something, roughing the quarterback is what it was. Dude, I could have hit him harder.
Starting point is 00:14:37 I promise you. Like, it was just a little, it was mostly arms and the guy's inertia, like pushed against Mahomes and that was enough. Concern about your gambling or that is someone close to you.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Call 1866-5-3-1-2-600 to visit connectxonterio.ca. Crazy. That is ridiculous. It's football. Like, if they just run and bump, some guy on the chiefs did that and got a unsportsman-like or something against the Chargers QB. And he was even doing that thing where, like, before he got to the quarterback, he saw that he had already, like, released the ball at the last second.
Starting point is 00:16:03 And so he, like, puts his hands to his side to, like, grab imaginary pillars and slow down. But he's going too quick, and he, like, chest bumps him. and even like puts his arms around trying to be like don't fall i don't want to get up but he falls down anyway and they're like yeah 15 yards automatic first down on sports and it's like i get you don't want them to like have scrambled eggs for brains but there's got to be some form of hitting yeah sure so my college team didn't lose this weekend how'd you guys do bad orally horrible well we were expected to lose we were going into old miss top 10 team Mizzu's not really known for going on the road against top 10 teams and winning.
Starting point is 00:16:45 That's not something they tend to do. I was a believer though. I really was. You're like, man, I don't know. We're going to be tested. I'm like, you were tested against Florida and you got an A. Let's do it again. They might have been your third ranked team, but you did lose to a rank team.
Starting point is 00:17:00 But you beat Florida. And I'm like, look, the fraud check was done. And they came back and not fraudulent. So let's go. Bring up. Bring your boys. and if I remember right Missou had a rough loss
Starting point is 00:17:14 and Georgia wasn't as bad but they don't like losing it all yeah they were expected to lose yeah NC State brings some a dub very nice no that wouldn't go that far we just didn't play oh well in its own way would he you know
Starting point is 00:17:30 we didn't lose this week boys you can hold you in a pie playing the parade I think there was a whenever an NFL game ends in a tie and everybody starts cheering and they're excited. I start wondering if I understand how the ranking systems work or the playoffs work with a tie or something,
Starting point is 00:17:50 because I'm just like, wait, why are you happy? I mean, I guess it's not a loss, but why are you happy? Like, don't pop the champagne. Like, you couldn't win. Nobody won. I hate that those games can do that. I've only seen it twice because I don't watch a ton of football, but like every time it happens, I'm like, wait, we're done?
Starting point is 00:18:05 We're done here? What are you talking about? I'm still here. I'm not going anywhere. Are there ties in college? They just keep going, right? It's going. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:14 I like the college rules more. Obviously, pros still get ties. They just tie last week. Yeah, the ties are. You end up in like double OT and triple OTs in college where they're just, they keep matching each other's scores. They charge down the field. It, you know, it's a great crescendo to the game.
Starting point is 00:18:30 And it's fair. I like that. I don't know if the NFL rules have changed, but there used to be a coin flip and someone would receive it. and that team had a huge advantage. They played until somebody scored. If it still goes like that, that sucks. Imagine your defense not stopping them
Starting point is 00:18:48 and the game just being over and your own never took the field. In college, they both go. If they both get a field goal, keep playing. If they both get nothing, if they both get seven, all the same. So that's better. And it's fair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:03 The Georgia game, after Missouri was down so much that it was implausible for them to come back. We just switched over to the Georgia guys watching out of friend's house. And he's obsessed with football. So it had like the split of like four games and the TV all at the same time, which was kind of fun, over stimulating. It was like social media on a TV. I had two games split like that.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Watching Georgia, as a fan of an SEC team that isn't Georgia, every time like Georgia loses, I'm always like, this isn't supposed to happen. Like the past couple years, like they always look so much better. And then Auburn is just who gives a fuck, not even ranked team. But it doesn't hurt Georgia that much. Let's be real, they're still going to make the college football playoffs as long as they keep dominating. And we know that the one thing that Georgia struggles with is accurate, truthful, like,
Starting point is 00:20:02 pegboard material for the team to get mad at. And so this is, this is something. We could put on there. Yeah, be like Auburn spanked you guys. Is that who you are? He doesn't have to do that shit where he's like, no one said we could win. And then you like check Vegas. And it's like, brother.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Like everyone is saying. They don't think we can take on Texas Christian University. The Hornstack. We're going to crucify them. We are going to crucify them. He's got to Bob. Did you lose to BYU? Is that right?
Starting point is 00:20:32 He lost to Auburn. They lost to Auburn. Alburn. Yeah. It was kind of a perfect storm. Auburn had a buy week the week before us. They're all rested, and George is really banged up. They were coming off Alabama.
Starting point is 00:20:43 They had a lot of players that couldn't start and in some key positions. And they didn't play well and play well. Notre Dame lost a tight one. They were the BYU team. Yeah. It's their first tough game. I mean, Michigan State is in Purdue or like occasional football schools. But BYU was eighth and they lost 2824.
Starting point is 00:21:05 They have Miami next. That's the number one team in the land now. Well, two weeks from now. So we'll see how that goes. It doesn't look good for Notre Dame. I mean, I saw on social media, Notre Dame's got a lot of fans. They also have a lot of haters.
Starting point is 00:21:20 I saw so many people posting being like, fraud check the first real team. Oh, I'm sorry. Did you not get Tallahassee State scheduled for this week? And then you go and you check Notre Dame schedule. And it's like, you guys are being haters. That's like, no, that's true. They were playing like Tallahassee State, Arkansas, A&M Tech for the troops.
Starting point is 00:21:42 Right. Wisconsin, Purdue, Michigan State, Stanford, like all these schools, they're not App State, right? They're not like not ever competitive, but it's not their year either. They have an easy schedule. Well, they have an easy schedule going backwards. Going forward, it's not so easy. They have a rivalry quote. with Navy and they play Navy every year and it's like cut the shit it's like you really Navy really helped us out
Starting point is 00:22:13 during World War II and I'm like I wonder if it's like paying an homage to that help or if it's a really really really really really really lopsided record one verse two turns out it's like 80 80 and 10 that they've gone forever against them it was the longest win in any like from 19 like 62 to Navy didn't win. It was something crazy. It may have been longer than that. And so like for rivalries to be real, there's got to, there should be like a, maybe, maybe have a two decade thing where if one team doesn't win for two decades, you go,
Starting point is 00:22:50 no, you can't schedule this cupcake anymore. You can't do this. It's not about the history. Oh, you have a big rivalry with Stanford. Yeah, that's like, like, who could I have? I could have a rivalry with like a, like a full. year old in the neighborhood, push him over on his bike every day. It's like, that's not a rivalry. It's just, it's not fair. We got that with, we've got that with Georgia Tech.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Georgia Tech takes it super seriously. And Georgia often, like, Georgia fans that are my age and younger probably aren't even aware of it. And they genuinely like burn effigies. They're so serious about it. If you read the online, like, talk from Georgia Tech, it's really hateful for no reason. Like they really like take it seriously and hate UGA and it's like, I think they've won once in 15 years or something like that. It's not a rivalry anymore.
Starting point is 00:23:46 No, it's lapsed. No, they're a very good school. Like, I don't know what the problem is. They produce fantastic attorneys. I thought it was mostly tech, technology stuff. Lots of chemistry and biochemistry stuff. Lots of big-headed fuckers there. Well, it's certainly not, you know, running backs.
Starting point is 00:24:05 I think they do have a law school. Oh, no, I'm wrong. They don't have a law school. My bad. They're a bunch of nerds. Yeah, they just have pre-law. I calculate that we can beat Georgia this year. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Point Dexter, you're going to get dominated. Yeah. Man, I wish Missou had one of those rivals. If we were like, man, I hate Southeast, southeastern Missouri state. High school. High school. Those kids
Starting point is 00:24:36 Fossed I'm At high school Like 31 people In the south I would like I've always been curious about that I would like to see like
Starting point is 00:24:45 The national champions play like The worst team in the NFL every year I am fully aware The NFL team would smush them But I do want to see it There would be I think it would just be too risky with injuries Like
Starting point is 00:24:57 The NFL team would Crush them in a way that's There would be people going to the hospital. It's possible. It might be a bad idea. Can you imagine being the quarterback on Georgia? And it's like, all right, guys, nobody believed in us when we beat BYU for the national title. They also forfeited because there was a rule that you have to play the Jacksonville Jaguars if you win. And then like imagine like the horror of that fresh-faced, barely out of the womb, 28-year-old Georgia quarterback having to go. up against those adult, those 29-year-old adults.
Starting point is 00:25:38 I'm pretty sure losing his hair. Like he wears one of those like skull caps, like a band-in on his head, like John Travolta used to. I'm pretty sure that guy's bald under there. I don't know for sure. I don't want to know. That guy's got a fucking triple A card in his wallet. It's like Schrodinger's bald spot.
Starting point is 00:25:52 I choose to believe that he has a full main under there. I would, that would like, for me, that would be better than any Super Bowl. If they actually did schedule, like, okay, the Saints were so bad this year that they have to engage in the humiliation ritual of playing against Georgia. And, you know, Georgia gets to, you know, have a nice slice of humble pie. Keeps everyone, everyone even. And it's almost kind of like a tryout for Georgia because then maybe, you know, New Orleans goes, we're getting the first overall draft pick. I got to like that guy on George. I like, and, like, and pushing people over and getting safeties and, and, and hurting quarterbacks to the point where it would quickly be like,
Starting point is 00:26:35 We're not going to play the second half of the first and first ever and last ever intercollegiate professional football game. It's over, folks. They're dead. Georgia, Bulldogs are dead. Like, they'd steal, uh-huh. It'd be a whole, it'd be a problem. I was looking at Jaguars. Georgia sends about nine players to the NFL every year, which is pretty good.
Starting point is 00:26:57 But the other team has 50 NFL players. Yeah, yeah. And not just that, but like 50, well, they have a complete set of, starters. You know, the 9-1-go might never be starters. They might never even touch the ball. It's a rough situation. Maybe you can do it in another sport, you know, that's not so contact-heavy. Maybe. It wouldn't go well for any sports. I watch a lot of those NFL podcasts, and they talk about the step up from, like, college to football, and they're like, oh, it's like, it's night and day. It's a different game. You know, you see, you see examples like Tim Tebow, who was like,
Starting point is 00:27:35 out in college and then just couldn't hack it in the professional game. Yeah, but you know, the NFL could be, I'm sorry, go ahead. It could be NFL or I watch NBA stuff like Kyle watches that. And it's the welcome to the NBA moment, the welcome to the NFL moment where someone just gets like put in their place as a rookie and just absolutely dunked on or whatever. I love those stories. And I guess I really like the humility and the self-deprecating humor in what is often a retired All-Star. And they're like, yeah, what Larry Byrne did to me, you know, taught me who I was. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Looking at like the size difference of an NFL offensive lineman and like a D1 college defensive lineman, like two inches and 40 pounds of difference. And I really think that the Jaguars, whoever the worst team was, they could run a coach Bombay style flying V. and just like almost like a phalanx and the college team would be breaking like waves on a stone wall just the whole time just unstoppable they can just walk in that would be that would be fun to watch i would enjoy that but i'd enjoy that in any sport like basketball i wouldn't appreciate the difference as much but they the NBA team would win by a hundred i feel like oh i think the one i would most like to see is probably like all-star middle school boys against w NBA players Like the best middle schoolers in the country
Starting point is 00:29:08 versus the WNBA. I've seen that recently. The one I saw, the middle schoolers actually beat the WNBA in different skilled drills and stuff, like three point shots, they had different competitions. But when it came time to actually play each other,
Starting point is 00:29:25 the WNBA game was so physical. The middle school boys were just getting bullied. Yeah, no, I mean, you'd have to fold the league. A lot of eye pox. Yeah, a lot of high pox. A lot of hip checks and like they were, and those girls play a physical game,
Starting point is 00:29:43 maybe more so than the men. They need to call some fouls. Yeah. Did you see the troop who was repelling in to a college football game? And like he, something failed in the fast rope where you go down, like you're supposed to kind of gently get off.
Starting point is 00:30:03 Yeah, he died. And then I guess they waited like eight minutes and they're like, all right, Ted. Play ball. You know, Jamal Stevenson receiving. And it's like,
Starting point is 00:30:14 this is in poor taste. Like, you shouldn't be doing this. He's still laying there. Why did he, like what happened? Do we know? I don't know what failed.
Starting point is 00:30:24 He failed some way. He's free falling almost. Did the rope stop? Was the rope connected to the thing after he died still? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he's coming. There's a. They're like static lines and he's coming down it.
Starting point is 00:30:36 And lots of people are coming down and he's just basically free falling on his rather than descending like everybody else at a reasonable speed. And he crumples at the bottom. Yeah. He fell so far. But you know what? I heard he went to Alabama. Jesus Christ. Is that true?
Starting point is 00:30:55 Are you sure? No. No. Okay. No. Oh, they're not telling us what the actual malfunction was. I thought I could see like smoke on the rope like as he was going down like maybe the the break on it wasn't activating correctly and it was because he was not slowing down like
Starting point is 00:31:15 he basically just free fell from that distance like he had basically hit terminal velocity and fell into a hard bit of grant well yeah maybe not that hard though enough to die yeah yeah probably a week ago Alabama grad In Alabama Man, you hate Alabama so much You're letting it bleed over to hate of the innocent troops It's the nutrition down there They've got weak bones
Starting point is 00:31:40 Yeah, I saw people blaming Pete Hague Seth for this somehow It's like wasn't he in Washington like losing a war You're blaming him for this? Who was check like I really want to know what failed Me too What thing broke that made it happen? I've been looking into it for the last two minutes or so
Starting point is 00:31:58 But I haven't found it It's going to be user error in the end, I guarantee. He was an instructor for people on how to do this and a 15-year vet. So what you thought was my first thought, too. Now I'm not as sure. He's like the repel instructor for these guy. Maybe he was hot dog and he's like, beat you to the ground.
Starting point is 00:32:21 Last one down's a rotten egg boys. Aim for the bushes. I got the reference. Dude, that sucks. What a harrowing way to die. That's a great way to die. You know, he knows, he's done it, if he's an instructor and he's done it for a decade and a half,
Starting point is 00:32:39 he knew probably three feet, just when it was too late to, like, grab a ledge that, like, I'm going to die. This isn't going to work. This is a broken, you know, someone forgot to put a washer here or something, like whatever the important piece was. That really sucks.

I would think I would like lock it in at the top and be like, all right, it doesn't slide. Now I'll be able to control my descent. Did he just jump off and hope it would work?
Starting point is 00:33:58 I mean he was holding on to something attached to the rope he wanted to stop like so I don't know and I imagine like that's not something you fly by night that's something where you're like so you did check this actually you know what I'm going to check it too I'm an instructor for a decade and a half I'm going to make sure oh see this the rope stopper he's like this is a this is a hollow Diet Coke can I need like a real thing to wrap on to the actual the actual rope. that terrible stuff so RIP to him but big week in football a death a almost death with Jalen Hertz um hey it's not over yet another death of a season from zoo
Starting point is 00:34:41 um a pretend death of George's season if you were to win out like you'd totally be in the playoffs that's that's a possibility it's not gonna fucking happen we play Georgia but it's not but you're not statistically eliminated
Starting point is 00:34:56 per se It could happen. It could happen. I mean, you might have said that before Florida, too. Yeah, you have to win the games ahead of you. That's all you have to do to be the national champion. Just don't lose any games. You control your own destiny. Easy is that.
Starting point is 00:35:09 You just need one of these games. It doesn't matter what those other teams are doing or what they're going. Yes, I figured it out on your behalf. You're welcome. Thank you. A lot of people don't know that. You just got to win out. It didn't used to be that.
Starting point is 00:35:20 And we joke, that's not how it used to be. You'd win every single game. And then a committee somewhere would put all the numbers in a computer. say, oh shit, you're the third best team in the country, but I never lost. No, you didn't. But didn't, Notre Dame? And those teams would just claim they were
Starting point is 00:35:36 world champions anyway. Yeah. That's a funny little thing. We had co-champs. I think maybe LSU and USC were co-champs one year. I think USC might be the one I'm thinking of. That was not a chance.
Starting point is 00:35:50 There was all like, are they going to three-peat? Are they going to three-peat? Are they going to three-peat? And it's like, Mother Trucker, they weren't champ last year. The most sure bet in college football is that they won't three Pete. Yeah. What do you want? They pretended they were champs because
Starting point is 00:36:07 they were undefeated, but there was an actual champ and it wasn't that. That is ridiculous. Because I've seen football fans argue and be like, yeah, well, the 1960 national championship and they're like, that's disputed. And it's like, so none of this is real. This is a long pankey, pankey. Apparently, Polly Market was talking about
Starting point is 00:36:24 how many of the bets in the last political cycle were placed after the it was basically a determined outcome and it's it's it's the only thing that's bet that way like only in politics are people's feelings so involved that they will throw good money after bad even when it's clear that their guys not going to like win every single county going forward like you remember when i won four hundred dollars on the Trump president it was the Trump election in 2020 Biden had already won and someone was so convinced that Trump would win once the votes were counted that like it wasn't like the day after it was like 10 days after like it was all said and done and oh oh I remember I bet him beforehand for like 100
Starting point is 00:37:15 and I won that and then he wanted another 300 that he'd eventually become president on an Day after he had lost. And I took his money then too. I couldn't believe he paid you. Like, that would have been one of those where it just pops in and there's no memo included on the PayPal transfer.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Like, what are you, what are you right? Crow dinner for one? I like that. I mean, that was pretty honorable to pay up the half a grand that he owed you for. But that was, that is such a swish to be like, I'll bet you $500. that Trump's president in a week and it's like it's March.
Starting point is 00:37:56 That was part of my trash talk. I was trying to bet on previous Super Bowls and like NBA games and stuff that had already concluded. You bet on the 1960 college football national title. It's disputed. You know, whatever's stupid. That's ridiculous. But I thought when you said that initially, Kyle, that it was someone being like, oh, 2024 election, Donald Trump has won and that they would allow you to keep betting that Trump would win.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Like that conclusions would come in and they'd still let you put 100% money to win. Is that not? They only let you bet on the side that already lost because otherwise you could just get through. Well, they'll still let you bet on the side that's very, very likely to win. It's just that the payout will be very, very small. Sure. What also happens. If it already happened.
Starting point is 00:38:48 They'll be like Kalshi and Polymarket bets on other positions. So one that happened recently was the press secretary, that chick who had the job for like four days. Yeah. So she was a long shot to get that job. And a few hours before it was announced, tons of bets were placed on her to get it. So obviously, insiders are just like dumping money on decisions that were already made. And that's happened a couple of times. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:39:19 This isn't good for sports either. like the scale of the gambling now. Like when that much money gets involved, like you're going to have nonsense start happening with refs and you're going to there are regulators that, oh, with reps, that's a problem. But there are regulators that look for irregular betting patterns
Starting point is 00:39:39 and then they have, I know with the UFC at least, and there's no way it doesn't extend to the other major sports, they come in with regulators and they're like, hey, there's a lot of money being shifted onto this guy over that guy. what do you know about it? Like to Dana White and then they interview the fighters and sometimes the fight
Starting point is 00:39:55 gets called off because it's like we're pretty sure the fix is in and this guy that's a huge betting underdog is going to win. We think this other guy's going to throw. It's happened at least twice, maybe three times.
Starting point is 00:40:09 There are, I feel like in society today, there are more people trying to separate fools from their money than ever before. You go back 25 years, sure. Some make-believe Nigerian print sent you an email, but it just didn't seem as pervasive.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Now, sports betting is everywhere, everywhere. And they're all getting like regular people to become regular sports betters. The Kalshi and polymarket stuff is just putting bets on everything that could possibly be bet. Logan Paul's out there with his new crypto scam, seemingly every year, whether it be a crypto thing or Pokemon car. scam or one scam or the other. All these influencers, not just Logan Paul, could be the hawk to a chick pushing their mean coins at you.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Everyone's business model seems to be to take advantage of our stupidest and take their money. Yeah, never have we had this baby boomer generation holding so much wealth and this underclass of tech savvy young people who are poor who are fully capable of scamming them out of their... I don't think it's the boomers who are buying
Starting point is 00:41:20 the crypto bullshit, although they're, to your point, I guess there are some. But to me, it's the guys in their 20s who think they're better sports bettors than they really are. Those are the ones getting tagged with the betting and the prediction market. A piece of Logan Paul's Pokemon card. It wasn't my dad. Yeah, it wasn't Kyle's dead. The boomers are getting hit by the like unprecedented amount of like scam calls from scam farms in India. Like, it's more than ever happening. That's like a real part. of Indian GDP. It's like tricking old Americans and Westerners out of their money. About three percent of their G it's like, should we get into that?
Starting point is 00:41:58 We'd be good at. No, no. That's horrible. We all have like decent American accents and Taylor's doing his Indian for no reason. Oh yeah. I just got to get out. I don't know why I use that accent. It just makes you less successful. Yes. It makes me more set it.
Starting point is 00:42:20 I pick a different name too. I'm like, my name is Kareesh. And don't even use an anglicized name. Something else I've been seeing online. I know we talked about him a few weeks ago with his Vegas trip driving into traffic on his mobility scooter. Only Use Me Blade. He's not in Vegas anymore from the, and it's almost hard to get the chronology correct because I don't keep close tabs on him, but I'll search him online. every couple weeks, you know, having one of these, like, content sprees and I'll see. And I know we've,
Starting point is 00:42:58 we've, we've, we've cried Wolf about this before. But I, it is, he's close to the end. Why? You think he's close to death? I, I can't see how his body could handle much more. Like, he's getting very gaunt in his face. His, not a, a speck of mind. muscle anywhere on his body. The version of him from six years ago, and I think it might be five, six years ago now where we were watching him on the Ice Poseidon bus and they were pepeifying his face. At the time then, he had that like heavy drinker body of like big giant torso gut, but no muscle on the arms, no muscle on the legs. Now he has, and at that time he had like severe untreated diabetes. now he's in a mobility scooter and from the knee down on both legs he's got that like deep purple
Starting point is 00:43:55 skin color that really severe diabetic skin he's got cuts wounds things all over his foot people are taking pictures with him like taking pictures of him passed out and it's like his foot's like weeping through like sores and I saw I saw three I saw different posts of him and one was from a few nights ago where he's like you know I think tomorrow and he's talking to someone who's driving him around. He's drunk. He's like, I think tomorrow I'm going to have you guys take me to the hospital. And then I'm like, oh, okay. And then the day after that, he's
Starting point is 00:44:24 obviously didn't go to the hospital. He's drunk again. He's like, I think tomorrow morning we're going to go to the hospital. The next day, he's like not even drunk yet. He's being driven around. And he says, I really need to go to the hospital after we do this streaming thing because my foot is killing me. My foot really hurts. He's like,
Starting point is 00:44:40 he's going to get like a septic infection. No, he keeps it clean. Do you haven't seen? Oh yeah, let's look at his hygiene in this video. Zach, could you show it? Yeah, roll this, Zach. This is for those of you who... This is five months ago.
Starting point is 00:44:55 If you're ever in like a post-apocalyptic area... Tell you're not going to be proven wrong. This video would be fine for your case? When we say his hygiene is fine, yes, audio, please. Close out of it. But thanks for asking. Based on how you look after the rest of your body, ingesting clips of Newport and Vats of Yeager,
Starting point is 00:45:16 problem has better dental hygiene than you, Mr. Romney. Now, how do you expect us? He's putting deodorant on his rotten feet for those who are audio only. The inside of his shoes are yellow from weeping wounds, and I hope I had done. Seven quints. Fuck out of you, dude. Jill's on our way back, dude, and shots are owed. I actually bought Jill some alcohol.
Starting point is 00:45:40 Take that, Taylor. Shows what you know. Shows what I know. There's another clip where he uses. Lysol. I saw that. But did you, you notice that like pillar of a purple leg, like no definition of a calf or an ankle to use. That's a power lifter's leg. To steal from, to steal a line from Jim Norton, it looks like his shoes are screwed on. Like the, they're like flaying, like spaying out because it doesn't make like his ankle so big. Like the, the human body can only take so much. And he did go to
Starting point is 00:46:16 the hospital during the Vegas trip. Like I saw a clip as one being like, oh, Blade went to the hospital. And then apparently he went to the hospital for three hours, got out and immediately drank a bottle of Yeager and kept driving around. Like he's like leaving Las Vegas
Starting point is 00:46:32 mentality. And people are like making content with him right now. He's like in the end of, very end of life is what it looks like. I got to get it. So I, I,
Starting point is 00:46:46 I think it's generally, everyone laughed at me seven years ago when I was like, if he just stopped drinking and cleaned up his diet, he'd be fine. There's nothing about this that's too far. And everyone thought I was insane. And I was like, look, I'm not playing the odds with this thought. I just think that if he would have to do that, that it would return out just fine. Now what? Is it too late to turn this ship around? Well, it looks like he's going to lose both his legs from the knee down.
Starting point is 00:47:12 And I don't know the prognosis after that, but it doesn't seem like he wants to. stop. It seems to me like he needs like intravenous antibiotics or something. It looks like he's going gangrenous to me. Like he has open smelly wounds, lots of them. I would bet that if he went to the hospital and spent $100,000 that they would get him ship shape in a few months, especially with a diet and not doing drugs or alcohol. I think the human body is so tough and resilient. Like it's always, it always, it's like when lightning hits a, tree and it splits it in half, but then you see that new tree just growing right out of the middle of it.
Starting point is 00:47:51 People don't do that. And livers break for real, right? This is a guy who needs a liver transplant or some sort of dialysis forever. Well, I mean, I never heard anything. I haven't been to med school, but I have seen ER. And that's my prognosis based on rom-coms and shit. So I think his liver's cooked. I maybe a you're 100% right like when you called it five, six years ago or whatever.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Like he could have turned that around without major medical intervention as long as he's cut the drinking and like started eating normal food and everything. But now, yeah, I don't even know what the first step is other than go to the hospital and hope they can construct a plant. Because he's like his his legs are so scary looking. Like he can barely. I saw like the other streamers were like lifting his. his rascal out of the back of the truck and like putting it down and he was walking over to it but both of his legs were like struggling to get him there it wasn't just like oh he's struggling with the balance because he doesn't have toes there anymore it was like both legs where he was
Starting point is 00:49:04 almost like falling towards it's i think it'd be fun we have no evidence like obviously true true that his liver and kidneys have been incredibly stressed for the last 25 30 years but i've never heard him say that the doctors had found like a serious problem with his liver or kidneys or anything. Seems to me. Like he needs. The new Subaru Cross Trek Hybrid is the most fuel efficient cross trek yet. That means less time filling your tank and more time filling your day.

I need to see a recent photo of him. I haven't seen him be jaundiced. Yeah, I haven't seen extreme jaundiced yet. I've seen people claiming like, look, he's starting to look yellow.
Starting point is 00:50:35 And I'm like, now, if I hadn't seen that comment, would I be thinking that? And it's like, the lighting is not correct. So I can't tell. Like, when they're truly jaundiced, you're like, oh, oh, no. Like, it's not like. Isn't it? maybe it's the camera, it's not that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I don't think that it's like just based on looking at them now, I don't think that liver failure is what's going to be the final blow. I think it's going to be some sort of horrible infection that his body just can't fight all. Because like dying of liver failure usually is like a really long process. Like it takes a long time. But dying of sepsis or some bad infection, that can spring up quickly. And you can get a new liver. you know they're easy
Starting point is 00:51:17 no so people can get a new liver only use me blade like if that list is a million people long he's a millionth on the list oh yeah they won't put him he'd have to do the whole thing you have to be clean for years to like for them to be
Starting point is 00:51:33 thinking about it would be my guess I don't really know how that works you get a buddy give you a liver the thing about the liver you probably know they don't give they don't take your whole liver when you donate one they just take a little chunk of your liver and it grows into a whole new liver on the other guy you know they don't take the old liver out of the old guy
Starting point is 00:51:45 They just attach the new chunk of liver to the old one. Same with kidneys. So they don't take that. Is that how livers work? Because I'm thinking kidneys. Yeah. Kidneys you need a kid. I don't know what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Livers are like the most robust organ we have. Like it takes a long time to fuck up. Unless, and some of the people get like genetic stuff or like they have liver problems even when they were very light drinkers or not, or not drinkers at all. But that's clearly not him. Like, because he's been a heavy drinker. That would have happened by now if he had some genetic liver problem. But regardless, liver stuff takes so long to die.
Starting point is 00:52:15 but he's dancing with the devil every day with some horrible infection. And if he's that, if I give you his if I give you his avatar, you have this sorted in 18 months and you're jogging. If they could sit, well, I'd go to the hospital immediately and I wouldn't do drugs or alcohol anymore. Of course.
Starting point is 00:52:35 I'd start eating real food. I saw a clip of him and this was from like a few months ago where he had like some guy that was helping him to do the streams because he's just out of it. and he was like a whole leader of Yeager in, which is just sugar. And then he's, his like buddy is like, I'm going to go to a gas station and get you food. What do you want? And I'm like, maybe he'll ask for like a chicken sandwich or something. And he got like donuts and a candy bar.
Starting point is 00:53:01 And it's like, oh, oh, dude. Like this is like actively suicidal. There are 13 grams of sugar in every 100 milliliters of Yeager Meister. It's the sugaryest thing at the store outside the honey aisle or the sugar bags. Like it's there's just nothing. It's the sweetest, most sickly sweet liquor. Like it would, he would be markedly healthier today. And this is a like, just think about this.
Starting point is 00:53:32 If he six years ago had gone, you know, I heard Woody talking about eating some chicken, eating some broccoli, cutting down on the liquor. I'm not going to cut down on the liquor, but I'm pivoting. to vodka instead of he would literally be healthier if he had switched to vodka because there's so much less sugar in it yeah but if I was an alcoholic I'd choose Yeager to
Starting point is 00:53:54 that's very sweet that tastes like maybe maybe I'd be a peach gnapp guy I don't know but something you know you'd be a volume drinker it'd be the most expensive alcoholic ever is that the down pinia colladas at a bar
Starting point is 00:54:12 not at a bar you start mixing them yourself nobody nobody's an alcoholic at a bar you got to handle that at home okay Jackie get real good at mixing pinia lot of sure but yeah so I'm I'm thinking it's near the end for him unfortunately pretty pretty rough it's up to him if it is or not we I really want to get him on as a guest I want to I want to talk to him about that be like hey man you you you is this lights out or you burn it off off into the sky because I support that fully if you're just like Fuck it. Let's burn it down to the butt. You know, I'm cool with that mindset. But you know that you look like you're going to die in like the next three years would be my bet. I would guess sooner. Yeah. Well, again, it depends on the trajectory.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Look, infections are weird. And again, the human body is shockingly resilient. You've seen those homeless men where they take their shoe off and their foot is being devoured by maggots. Like actively. Yeah. And it's like that guy was just out. living his life being eaten and like he wasn't even bothered that much by it mark my words if he keeps this up he'll have maggots in those wounds like that's rotting flesh open air but he has so much more access to his drug of choice than a lot of homeless people do because like how many homeless people would be gone way quicker if they could turn on a stream make a couple thousand dollars and then you're just set on on alcohol or whatever rent hotel funds for the next week and you just do whatever
Starting point is 00:55:43 you want for that week, then you do it again. If he enjoyed meth, I wonder if the stream would still buy them like hits and stuff. Here's an eight ball or I don't really know my drugs that well, but whatever. That'd be an interesting strain, wouldn't it? Like, he'd be getting up to, like, wild stuff. He'd be like stripping copper wire
Starting point is 00:55:59 and taking TVs apart. He wouldn't need that rascal anymore. He'd be hoofing it. He'd have taken that apart. Taking the rascal apart. Couldn't figure out to put it back together. That's the fucking plug. Like that's how you charge it, dude. Spend three days in a gravel driveway looking for a nut.
Starting point is 00:56:18 That would be fun. Yeah, alcohol is just a terrible poison, and it's going to drip him slowly to death, I guess. But, you know, that's his choice. I like that he has the freedom of that. I'm glad we don't. I'm but some white coats to run in and scoop him up and be like, you're not allowed to drink yourself to death. I'm glad he has that freedom.
Starting point is 00:56:35 They're so true. Just let him, you know, till the wheels come off. I mean, it doesn't seem like he's having a fun time. Seems like he's miserable. Is that what it was? That airman gave his life at the BYU game for Blades' right to drink himself to death. And that is what America is all about. This is like the kind of thing you'd put in a letter to the president when you're in third grade.
Starting point is 00:57:05 Like you remember that? You're like in another thing, Mr. Clinton. I wrote Clinton a letter. We wrote Clinton a letter and we wrote Mary Kate and Ashley a letter. We had to do a president letter when I was like eight or so. And so I get, yeah, that was Clinton too. Yeah. He never wrote back.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Bitch. We got Mary Kate and Ashley wrote back. I remember my older cousin. Not really. Yeah, of course not. My older cousin on my grandma's fridge. I mean, we got letters. Wrote a letter to Clinton that was like, there's my reasons for why there shouldn't be
Starting point is 00:57:41 any commercials on TV because we want to watch TV, not commercials, and she's like a few years older than me. But even at the time, she was like nine, I'm like six. I was like, what do you, how do you, how do you think this works? Like, what do you think they have like TV for fun?
Starting point is 00:57:58 Like, what's your, what's your perspective on the world? Like, you know, this is like, they got to make money before SpongeBob rolls. She should have been blown away. Oh, yeah. Yeah, all the commercials are for local library. or whatever. Yeah, it's funded by the people.
Starting point is 00:58:14 They always begs me on those commercials. Hope Blade figures it out, dude, and stops the boozeim before it's too late. It's a car wreck. I don't want bad things for Blade. Sure. But this looks bad. I hope he fully understands
Starting point is 00:58:31 how bad that it looks and that it may be unrecoverable at some point soon. Yeah, there is, for everyone, and there is a point for that. He's like that airman sliding down that rope and there's 40 feet to the ground. If he could just get a hold of something, he'd be okay. Yeah, I want to see what Taylor saw.
Starting point is 00:58:52 Like, what is the smoke? Was he something gripping the line and like was friction on the way down that made it smoke? I thought that's what it was. I didn't realize we shifted away from play for a second. I was like, there was a rope. He's not lynching people, is he? What's he doing?
Starting point is 00:59:10 Yeah, I feel like The N word a lot. Oh, I'm sure you guys saw At the end of PCA last week, Zach was like, hey, Elon Musk made a car fly And we didn't really have time to look at it well. I'm sure we've all seen the clips now.
Starting point is 00:59:23 What did you think of it? I thought it was really neat. Obviously, it's a marketing stunt. We'll never be driving a car with SpaceX thrusters on it. But I just thought as a proof of concept at the very least, it was really cool. I like seeing it. Right.
Starting point is 00:59:38 I'm a bit of a muskater now, but that was a cool marketing event. And I thought there was an even cooler thing that didn't go as viral. There was footage of the car, unless I fell for AI, launching and passing parked cars or something. Like it was,
Starting point is 00:59:55 you know, the real dream for me is I hit traffic, but it's free in front of that guy. And you get to like, like Knight Rider, get over that car and land on the far side. I think that was AI, but I've only seen the one
Starting point is 01:00:08 where it kind of does a little kickflip, over the bus or the truck. So there's a whole presentation. There's like four minutes. Here, look, is this AI? No, that's real. Oh, this is the same one from the other angle. That's him jumping the entire Tesla lineup.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Right. No, that might be what I'm talking about. Like, he jumped over. This is a traffic solver. It could be, yes. It would do this. It's probably not. I've never been able to approach traffic at 20 miles an hour
Starting point is 01:00:36 and it only be four car legs deep. But he didn't need my. approach that was the crazy thing he i think he does that from a stop almost like it's what yeah oh and i don't know if you saw the part where they just it has rear boosters too for acceleration the zero to 60 time was one second it's crazy what does that feel like the car went and it was gone it had four of those boosters sticking out the back like tailpipes and it just like i wonder if there was any down force in the boosters like because friction's no grip on the tires is one of the things that slows down acceleration.
Starting point is 01:01:12 Like, probably because you saw him, I'm sure you saw him drive it up the ramp until it was upside down. Yes, yeah. I don't know if I saw that one. So he drove up a ramp, straight up a ramp at very low speed
Starting point is 01:01:26 until the car was suspended upside down. And then he backed down the same ramp, glued to it using thrusters, I suppose. And then accelerated up it fast this time, but kept going like a hot wheel's speed. car and at the top of the ramp while upside down and launched out into the open he did a 180
Starting point is 01:01:45 glide landing with the thrusters. It was sick. I theorized that was magnets because I didn't see or hear thrusters, but I don't know. I don't know what that was. I don't know what kind of magical technology he's using to make that car do that thing. And then Reddit was like 30 year old technology
Starting point is 01:02:02 in a concept that'll never be real. Get out of here, you Nazi. And I'm like, he made a car fly. Do you know who's going to be the first to be picking up those new models, Kyle? UGA's entire starting 11. That sounds right. There's all new traffic laws to break.
Starting point is 01:02:24 Kick flipping into a waffle house right before they have to play Alabama the next day. You'll see one fly into the fucking stadium over the side. He's late to the game. Dude, that's pretty cool. The car looks amazing. I don't know what the, demo has to do with the final car? Like, is that something that he'll sell?
Starting point is 01:02:44 There's a part of me that agrees with Reddit that says, yeah, that's not what he's actually selling. This is just a marketing event. But this guy sells shit. This guy sold flame throwers that were actually like tar melters for roofs. But they were kind of like flame throwers. They look like one. He sells the Tesla plaid, which is an amazing car.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Like, this guy occasionally, eventually, puts incredible products to market. So we'll see where this goes. So he's been teasing the Roadster for years. This is obviously, you may remember they launched the Roadster into space. This car looks completely different. This is a new version of the Roadster that never even released.
Starting point is 01:03:24 And it looks exactly, you'll know this, Woody. It looks exactly like the car from cyberpunk. I'm sure you saw this car in there. He literally copied the car from Cyberpunk, and he made it real. and he made it fucking fly. I'm sure they're taking pre-orders,
Starting point is 01:03:41 but they won't guarantee that you'll ever get a vehicle. And then where are you going to drive this? Well, again, it won't have thrusters on it. It won't have any thrusters on it, most likely. Well, then all of my excitement is gone.
Starting point is 01:03:56 I agree, but I'm not, I don't think there's no hope. Elon C. I don't want anybody out there with thrusters. I thought you couldn't, I don't want anyone out there with self-driving if it's 20 years ago. And it turns out,
Starting point is 01:04:08 works pretty well-ish. I mean, it doesn't do what he says it does because he's always lying. It's not just everybody's self-driving out there. Like the Lexus is going Mercedes, BMW, they're all Chevrolet, everything, Hyundai. They all have a rudimentary version of self-driving and those guys are sitting there on their phones and traffic. I see them all the time going past me and I'm like, God, damn it. This can't be safe. It might be better it?
Starting point is 01:04:34 The AI might be a better driver than us. I'm not sure. But on mass it is. The idea that he would just take self-driving cars and put them on America roads, American roads, is kind of too bold. You can't do that. Yet he did. So for him to take a car with boosters, I don't know. I've said he can't do it before.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Well, I didn't actually, but, you know, I've thought it. So maybe. He's good at accomplishing stuff. He just talks about what he's going to accomplish like seven years before he gets there. Yes. And then the whole time everyone's like. Stop it. Just wait. Just wait five years.
Starting point is 01:05:11 I've said this so many times. If I say it'll take two weeks and it took me 16 days, I was wrong. Sorry about that. If I say two weeks and it'll take me three years, the two week thing was always a lie. That was never true. And that's how Elon works. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:29 You have to lead with these big marketing promises and inspire a lot of enthusiasm. But I mean, it is cool. Like, I don't see people are being lame about the actual, like, Because they think he's not see who supports Republicans to the tune of $275 million in election cycle. Oh, my God. They can't just look at like a flying car and say neat. They have to be like, actually. No.
Starting point is 01:05:54 I don't know. If George Soros did something cool and the Republicans would quite likely look at it sideways. If he built a flying car, I'd be like, I don't like the funding of the DAs to let criminals out of here, but damn, that's a pretty cool car. Like that's the pretty sick car. I don't know. I think he gets, I think Musk gets, if anything,
Starting point is 01:06:16 he should get shit on for being like an unfunny goober, but I think he gets too much shit for other stuff. Like, he is the guy pushing the whole space thing. Like, that was kind of ignored for a long time in the American zeitgeist. And he kind of re-seized
Starting point is 01:06:32 that and got more money put towards it, which if he the space stuff is kind of good. The new Subaru Cross Trek Hybrid is the most fuel-efficient cross-track yet. That means less time filling your tank and more time filling your day. More court time. More ride time. More lake time.

Yeah, making those launches cheaper and cheaper to put X amount of kilograms into space is crucial to all of the cool space stuff. You don't get, like, gaming chairs in space until it's cheap enough to put a gaming chair in space. And then you have a gaming chair in space, you know, like as soon as it becomes commercially
Starting point is 01:07:57 viable to send something up there to do all those little things, it will. and that asteroid mining stuff seems like almost economy-breaking sort of technology. I don't even know how you regulate that. Yeah. I think by the time we figure that out appropriately, we'll all be dead. Like there's no way we're that close to mining and transporting huge quantities of space metals in a way that's cost effective. They'll be like, well, we have the technology to get to this asteroid, but it would cost a trillion dollars to do it. and we can only confidently ship back 20 billion of platinum.
Starting point is 01:08:32 It's going to be a lot. Well, that'd be hard. That's the other thing. Do you bring so much platinum back that platinum's not worth as much anymore? And so it wasn't worth your trip. You're not able to fund the trip. Again, that's such a weird new verging technology. I don't know how that works when you bring back a mountain of gold.
Starting point is 01:08:54 And of course, we all understand supply and demand. And so I know if you bring like $7 trillion worth of platinum back, it's not going to be worse $7 trillion. You know, people don't need that much. But I don't know how valuable it is to like De Beers Platinum for generations and generations, right? Where they just sort of controlled the supply of diamonds. Were the people that have the diamonds, they're not that rare, but heck you, I'm the only guy with them.
Starting point is 01:09:21 So there's as rare as I say they are. That's what would happen if you brought a meteorite back home. I think you're right. Yeah. I exactly thought that De Beers family about the diamond thing. It would just be, you know, now this billionaire Russian oligarch is like Dr. Platinum. Oh. And like he's got all of it.
Starting point is 01:09:39 I meant to ask you guys, do you think synthetic diamonds are less cool? Yeah. If I were going to wear a diamond, I would definitely prefer a real diamond to a synthetic diamond. If it looks the same, I don't care at all. I literally prefer a synthetic diamond. If I had to pay a small surcharge to not support De Beers and whatever badness happens, I think I'd lean synthetic. If the prices are equal, my decision's made. I'm a synthetic is cheaper.
Starting point is 01:10:12 With synthetic being cheaper, I'm like, what are we even talking about? It's clearly the one. So is it purely a moral question? Like if it were an Alabama diamond that I found and sold to you, would you? Wouldn't you prefer that you hate Alabama Crimson Tide? He doesn't care. Yeah, but they have been. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Yeah. So that gives me something to think about. If there was whatever, Georgia, North Carolina, Missouri, Diamond, would I like it more than a synthetic one? I don't think its origin means much to me. Yeah. I don't know. I wouldn't want to support the weird cartel. Deep in the core of the earth.
Starting point is 01:10:49 Like, I don't know the numbers, but it's huge colossal amounts of pressure and millions of years and heat. to create this thing and it had to be just right for the clarity to be the way it is. And then, oh, this other one, Ishmael makes him. He squeezes carbon hard as fuck in that press over there for a week. And out comes diamonds. Here's one. I'd rather have the one that was made in the core of the earth by the planet itself. No, if it's even $3 cheaper, I'm getting the synthetic one.
Starting point is 01:11:20 It's the same shit. Is that what you got your wife? No. No, she has, she has real ones. But, why? Because it was a family ring. And I didn't want to tear everything off. He's lying, folks.
Starting point is 01:11:35 He's just, he's lying his way out of that one, cornered him. I did not buy real diamonds. Don't tell her. Don't tell her. I see that all the time. So one of my favorites are coding. Every now and then I catch this guy on YouTube shorts. And he's got a diamond checker.
Starting point is 01:11:53 And he's just like, he's like, you want to check your diamonds? and these ladies are finding out that their husbands have bought them fake diamonds. And a lot of them are, he was at his high school. And it's like the teachers. He's like checking the teachers. And like the ones that find out are like, oh, like they're so mad. And then the one, like he's like, Miss Johnson, you bowling.
Starting point is 01:12:12 All this is real. Even the little ones. Like all of her shit is real. You know how I do, sugar. Yeah. That guy's great. That is fun. Jackie wanted a sapphire.
Starting point is 01:12:28 That's what she has. Well, she's on her second. When we first got married, I was broke. And I guess tiny diamonds get to be an embarrassment after a while.
Starting point is 01:12:39 So now that thing's a necklace and I got her proper grown-up ring like 10 years ago or 15 years ago. Did she take the diamond out on a necklace or does she have like sort of a Frodo and Mordor situation going on? Like where it's a ring through the Oh, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:12:57 They reshaped the gold that had previously been a ring into some sort of pendant thing that holds the diamond and looks like it belongs on a necklace. And then the ring is just something new, a sapphire. That's cool. Yeah, I agree. Synthetics is going to go. No reason to contribute to that evil cartel.
Starting point is 01:13:15 Yeah, yeah. Kyle's hypothetical gave you something to think about. Yeah. I know De Beers is essentially an African diamond cartel. but I didn't know that they procured their diamonds in a particularly nasty way. I have heard of blood diamonds and watch the Leonardo DiCaprio movie,
Starting point is 01:13:32 so I'm aware of that like business. But I didn't think that those necessarily were De Beers diamonds. I'm not saying they're murdering people. I just mean they artificially drive up the scarcity of it and make a ton of money on something that's really not as rare as they pretend. And they were the ones who started the whole marketing push for really expensive diamond rings
Starting point is 01:13:53 in like the 1920. 20s? Maybe 19. Yeah, I mean, you know, I don't get mad at Hallmark for inventing, you know, Mother's Day cards. I just don't buy them. And if Hallmark controlled all the paper and a birthday card was $600, you'd have a problem with it. I guess I don't mind. It just seems like business to me. I mean, they don't operate here because it's a cartel and it's illegal, you know. Even I think we'd have the diamond mines or maybe they're too far down. Well, they're in Africa. I don't think they could operate here. Yeah. We don't have. I do think Alabama, has gemstones. I think that's right. I think there's also fossils there. I think there's
Starting point is 01:14:27 stuff like that that goes on in Alabama. I wouldn't know. I was only visited there that two months. Maybe Nevada. Isn't that the gem state? Didn't we learn that? I don't know. Mayhaps, they have gems. I don't know. We'll have to bone up on our precious metals knowledge before the show this week. Yeah. Well, I think it's about dinner time, boys. It is Pekin 635. So your decaf oat milk extra but not piping hot, four pumps of caramel, no sugar, small latte, in a large cup. That will be 10 minutes. No worries. I'm having fun on Playojo.
