Starting point is 00:00:00 Do you want to see what the world is really like? Yes. Four things is deliciously funny and spectacularly entertaining. A woman planting her course to freedom at in Lutford. It's non-stop bonkers brilliance. I love that. Four things. It's like theaters December 15th.
Starting point is 00:00:17 Greetings, listener, dear! I'm Tom! I'm Ben! Oh, sorry, mate. Ben! Oh sorry mate! Go on, okay. Tom's got a little improv you'd like to do at the top of the show. I'm Tom of podcast fame! Oh! And I'm Ben! And I'm Matthew and I've checked the charts recently. So, yes, welcome, welcome, of course, to another exciting episode of Pappy's Flakshier Slamdown. It is exciting, actually.
Starting point is 00:00:51 I hope one day you guys get to experience what it's like to be of podcast fame, because. Yeah, I'd love to. Ah, I'm living pretty high on the hard-off it, let me tell you. How does this fame manifest itself, Tom? I'd love to know. Oh, I can barely leave my house without people
Starting point is 00:01:13 My house in a big belch makes you think of the guys you have to have like a wall of their house removes I can barely do my house. I've done good. I've been doing podcast fame, that's your cholesterol mate. I'm living high on the hog. I'm living high on the hog. You mean the hog? The podcast hog. That's right. You, I am Tom of Man Who Aits A Pig in It's A Town Square Fame. This, I'd listen to that podcast Tom.
Starting point is 00:01:40 That's the podcast I'm talking about. That's the podcast famous for. The hog cast, yeah. I'm not here. That's the podcast famous for. The hot cast, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Untrusty hogs. From snout to trotter. Series one.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Oh, that's good stuff. Speaking of trusty hogs, by the way, we've had a few messages about this. After Helen Bauer appeared on FlatShest, then down that episode will be out in a couple of months time. She's apparently started a beef with us. However, the thing about beefs is, you've got, like, I guess we have to listen to each other's podcast to find out what's happening. I've not been to come with others. I've heard it's very good. Now watch all the clips on Instagram, but that's about as much as I can handle with those two.
Starting point is 00:02:32 So yeah. Is this you starting a beef? It's so good. Is it? It sounds like it. I don't know, man. It's called reapers. You tell me.
Starting point is 00:02:42 You tell me. But no, they're very lovely, very lovely people. So, you know, I know, I don't know what the, I don't know what the nature of their beef is yet. I will eventually, if somebody wants to do us the service of clipping up the bit where they've talked about, I can't be waiting. There's loads of episodes. If someone's to clip us up the bit. You've got a lot of GML.com, please. You've got to eat an entire cow, don't you? That's true.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Why lots on your plate, literally. There's only one way to best the untrusty hugs. And that's with cattle do pig. No, I can't. Yeah. OK. Cattle do pig is the next episode, isn't it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:22 It's like the already swallow to fly. Every week, we increase in the larger. Oh my god. next episode isn't it? Yeah. It's like the already swallow to fly every every week we increasingly larger. Oh my god. We've started very big as well. Yeah, can I say the next week of the whole ride? The final week is Clark eating a combine harvester. That's that's going to be something to really it's going to be something to hear. Right, going to be something to be here. Right, so to talk about the other pods we're getting up to, don't forget that the Cheerful Eiffel Festival, the tickets are currently on sale. Now, they're doing a weird little thing, the Cheerful Eiffel.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Yeah, they are. They're playing a softie to the right there. Where they are. Yeah, they're tweeting about who, because there's three podcasts happening on the day we're doing, which is October the 9th at the in in in Valor and they have decided to go, oh, looks like birthday girls have just started. You've sold a few more tickets than than Papis. Oh, it looks like this one's in the lead, looks like that one's in the lead. Yeah, delighted to announce the birthday girls have overtaken Papis on ticket sales for day four, which is especially awkward considering Papis will be their guests. And I thought, um, you you know, let's let's let's not get
Starting point is 00:04:28 into this. Let's not do that. Let's not play that kind of game. And then of course, the only person to retweet it is the birthday girls who said the race is on. Okay. So let's let's not let the birthday girls win. And it's, you know, we do need to sell more tickets, because of course we're in a slightly bigger venue than them. So, yeah. Anyway, yeah, get your tickets from the cheerful, earful website, if you'd like to go there.
Starting point is 00:04:58 And yeah, October the 9th, and obviously it's going to be us doing flat-sheast lockdown with the birthday girls as guests, and then it's going to be us doing flat shear slam down with the birthday girls as guests and then it's going to be the birthday girls doing their house party with us as guests. So it should be really good fun. Why not do the double? We should sell the shot. Surely, it's a mountain ticket. Surely you do the double. You've got to do the double. Surely you do the double. Five PM puppies and birthday girls, seven PM birthday girls and puppies. What a great evening. What a great Sunday evening that is.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Unless you're not a fan of either of those sketch groups. Be weird if they got this far in the episode. It would be a terrible evening if you weren't a fan of puppies or the birthday girls. It would be bad for you guys, yeah. But if you are, if you're into it, then come along. So yeah, we'll put a link for tickets in the show notes, but look for Cheerful Airful Podcast Festival, and you should be able to find us online.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Right, should we talk about this episode? The Mac comedy Fest off. Is it the one from the Mac... The Mac comedy Festive? It is, yeah, you're right, you're a bank. Right, great. You're a bank. And is it the first one we recorded
Starting point is 00:06:11 at the Mac Comedy Festival? Tom, you are two for two. Yes! Here we go, well, it doesn't really matter, because they were both absolute belters, but this is coming to you from the Maconfield Comedy festival. As you said previously, surely the best comedy festival in the world. Yes, fantastic. And it took place for the first
Starting point is 00:06:35 time after not being over two years because the pandemic, so we were all very, very excited to be there. As I think you'll probably be able to tell from the recording. And we had two incredible guests as well. Yeah, we had Celia AB, fantastic comedian, and we had, you know what, our last minute saviour and birthday, I mean, if you're listening to this and you're not a fan of the birthday girls or puppies, you're not going to enjoy our other guests. You've got a tough old. It's tough old, listen. It's Rose Johnson of the birthday girls is joining us for this episode, who stepped in
Starting point is 00:07:08 valiantly at the last minute when Katherine Boehart contracted COVID. Even Helen Bower doesn't leave she got COVID, she just didn't think she saw how far away Mac wasn't in my travel. But I'm not here to start any beef. I'm not here. That's not my job. This is fuel beef. It's not my job to start beef with the trusty hugs. All I'm not here, that's not my job. This is fuel beef.
Starting point is 00:07:25 It's not my job to start beef with the trusty hugs. All I'm saying is she was supposed to be there, she didn't show up, but Rose was stepped in and was absolutely superb. As was Celia, as was Tom and Ben, thanks mate. As was producer Gwyn as you're going to find out. Really exciting. Exciting. Exciting moment for producer Gwynn as you're going to find out. Really exciting. Exciting. Really exciting moment for producer Gwynn. And obviously because she's, she's on the Zoom currently producer.
Starting point is 00:07:50 And was also fantastic. So she's editing this as you'll hear it anyway. Matthew, can I also say you had a great one here as well? Guys, you know what? That's really kind of you to say, but I'm no producer Gwynn. That who is? That who is. Who is?
Starting point is 00:08:07 Um, right, we'll enjoy this, enjoy the highlight of this actually, and we'll see you on the other side. BAM! Tom! What is it, Matthew? What is it, your little shit? Yeah, it's got what?
Starting point is 00:08:23 I didn't know you've got me back to the right, so I ran out of that little shit? Yeah, it's got what? I don't know, you've got to be back to the right side at that little shit slash brick. Little one of you too has got to cook the breakfast. Whoa. Well, it's not going to be Ben. It's not going to be me, mate. I mean, I just can't, I can't deal with the breakfast.
Starting point is 00:08:37 There's too much. People are the breakfast. Oh, he can't even say it a little long, cook it. I can't deal with the breakfast. The breakfast. It's just too much. He's open thought. What's happened here is he's open thought he's opening joke and fucked it. I can't even what's happened. Matty's fucked it. I can't deal with the breakfast. There's too much coming on.
Starting point is 00:09:00 It just takes me ages, honestly, what I do is. Yes, it's going in a Brexit slot. Everybody! And Brexit's low means Brexit's low. Carrie, what about you? Oh, you are going to love this mate. So I can't prepare breakfast because I had a terrible time with breakfast. One time I went on a stag do, right?
Starting point is 00:09:21 And on the stag do, it was me, Gokwan, Nibovin, the founder of the NHS, a Welsh legend, Riesifans. And we couldn't agree on where to go for breakfast, right? Nai wanted to go to an Australian theme pub on the high street, whereas Riesifans wanted to go back to his house and drink fortified caffeinated wine that is popular in Glasgow.
Starting point is 00:09:43 LAUGHTER Meanwhile, I wanted to talk to Reese Iffan about the John Grishon film starring Tom Cruise as a lawyer. Love it, right? Yeah. So. It's out of classic stag so far. Let's set up, right? Honestly, this is this is Brexlo. So anyway You've got all that picture of the sea. There's the pieces right then I said walk about or book fast out here fans Resaid I think I remember the firm
Starting point is 00:10:18 Yes, I recall I think we both kind of liked it and I said well that's one thing where's got Good night Is anyone going to settle this're gonna have to have a flat-sheast slam down! We're in a flat-sheast slam down! We're in a flat-sheast slam down! So we're gonna slam it down! Hello and welcome to Flat-sheast slam down! The panel show that says,
Starting point is 00:10:58 The day lights fading slowly But time with you is standing still I'm waiting for you only. The slide is touch, and I feel weak. I cannot lie. From you I cannot hide, and I'm losing the will to try. Can't hide it, can't find it. So go on, go on, go on and cook me breakfast.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Tell me, tease me, until I can't deny this love and feelin'. It makes me long for breakfast. Go on, go on, yeah, I'm those land or Matthew Crosby. Let's beat my two fried slices on the side. It's Tom Perry and Benedict Claw. Hello! So obviously you can't cook a fry up on your own eggs Benedict, who have you brought with you to panhandle? I'm today. I have bought my new skit part that is Rose Johnson! Rose Johnson is here!
Starting point is 00:12:04 How you doing Rose? Thanks for coming on the show. Thanks for having me delighted to be here. Good stuff You can make that energy all show Honestly, it's amazing. You're out of the gates. You're bloody hell. You're like a spoiled spring So, oh god, I feel like I'm having a stroke So Rose, thank you for coming on the show. What is your flatmate or it? That's all the time we got. Totally untied for Tom's joke.
Starting point is 00:12:34 It was a great chat. So yeah, what's your flatmate's situation currently? What's your flatmate's situation in the next episode? A flatmate in Matt Olt, same story. Same story? Me and the husband. Hubby? Yeah, Daniel Cook. Yeah, Daniel Cook, same story. Same story. Me and the husband. Hubby? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Daniel Cook. Yeah. Daniel Cook. Great question. Should have got it. There you go. Hang back, man. Hang back.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Now I think about it. Where is it at the moment? Could we do a switch a row? I'm watching. Well, probably Saturday Kitchen. Oh, it's a good show, isn't it? In the guest house. It's a great show.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Listen, we're not really talking about that, though. What's show, isn't it? In the guest house? It's a great show. Listen, we're not here to talk about that, though. What's Dan like to live with? Because I imagine he's a lot of fun. He's a funny guy. Yeah, he's fantastic to live with. He is a very clean man. He likes to. Like to shower a day man, sometimes three.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Whoa! That's too many. Three showers a day! Sometimes?. Whoa, that's too many. Three showers a day. Sometimes. What the fuck is he doing in between? Not suitable for 1145, yeah. Yeah, but he is clean to the point of obsessiveness.
Starting point is 00:13:38 He, for example, after the sink has been used, he will dry the sink out, which I think is insane. He's inside of the sink. He will dry the sink has been used, he will dry the sink out, which I think is insane. Inside of the sink? If anywhere is allowed to be wet in a house, please, the sink. Surely. I think your husband's a murderer. Yeah. It's not dry showers.
Starting point is 00:13:58 That's why he needs so many. Like sandalwood is going to clean off these dry showers, man. I'm like Sandler, it's going to clean off these dry showers, man. And what's he using to dry it out? Like, does he have a rag? A rag, yes. A sink rag. Like a sink rag. He's got a weight, he's got it every shoulder all the time.
Starting point is 00:14:18 He's a moisture in the house, just to mop it up. And for someone who's very obsessively clean, he sort of wiped the sink out, used the same rag to wipe the stove and the sides. And then draped the rag over the clean washing up. What do you mean he's a pig? You should have just said my husband's absolutely horrible. And as I'm saying to this, I am remembering he does listen to this podcast. Well just remember the bit we said he was funny.
Starting point is 00:14:45 Tom, who have you brought with you? Oh, well, bad news everyone, the jump reason danger. Oh, yes. We haven't got a comedy festival. But we have now. I've heard the funniest person I know, Celia A.B. Celia A.B. is here. Oh.
Starting point is 00:15:03 What's your flatmate arrangement? What's your living arrangement? At home, at Mac. Either or. Either or. I am staying with two New Zealand comics. At Mac. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Which, it's helping me pretend that I'm in New Zealand. Well, it also wails looks a bit like sort of, exactly. The kind of Hobbitan, you know, bit of New Zealand. Exactly, and I'm making... I know, that's not an actual bit of New Zealand, guys, I'm not. I am thick, but not about that. The phrase that gets bounded around a lot in my family is they say New Zealand is like
Starting point is 00:15:32 Wales on crack. But then I've been to Swansea and Swansea is Wales on crack. And it doesn't feel like New Zealand. I can tell you that? By the way, swimming with whales on crack is an amazing experience for those, it's really nice today, you forgot to do it. You've got to do it. Before you die. Or as you're dying.
Starting point is 00:15:59 But yes, so you're living with these two new Zealand comics and... It's lovely. It's lovely. Back home in London, I live with a guy from Birmingham. And I know. So just talking... Actually, commitment to the Midlands. Actually, love it. Yesterday, two of my flatmates,
Starting point is 00:16:15 how they started their moving out back in London. And I'm so, I think I've got abandonment issues because when they send the message, I was like, well, why would you do that to me? And I think it's really hard to not take it personally when someone moves out two doors down. And they said it's got something to do with space and I say, Just that space away from you. And I say, well why can't we be together all the time?
Starting point is 00:16:47 And yeah, I think that the New Zealand comics, I think I'm bearable to live with for three days no more than that. I don't know why. I think it's got to do with the fact that I keep telling them to talk to me like I mean, New Zealand. What are you hoping from Matt's request? I think I just want to me like I'm in New Zealand. What are you hoping from that request? I think I just want to feel like I'm not in the UK.
Starting point is 00:17:12 It's great to have you here on the show anyway, man. And he tried to escort you up at Dan Cook as well. Clend your on my team, yeah? Oh, that was cool. That was quite a good New Zealand. That was unbelievable. It's the beam. It's quite a good news in that. That was unbelievable. It's not been. It's like Wales on crack, guys.
Starting point is 00:17:28 So anyway, I'll guess a lined up like soldiers, but who will be dipped into the eggy yolk of sweet, sweet victory? Let's find out as we play round one! Woo! I'm over here in loads of builders. As the order starts to fly, I ask him to refly bread. We just want it over easy, make it cheesy. Have the tea we above a landscape, and a can of lucasets. First out I was a loner, who's an owner, between me something soon. I was feeling so lost, and I'm feeling so lost.
Starting point is 00:18:01 And my soul is in my life. I'm a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's a man who's out of Was a loner who's an over between Something to I was feeling so lost If I'm so is in my long Cool creases, but what can I afford Take a look at the board No swapping out of time, I'm The seven you so I'm writing them down But it's not in the frown If it was gonna blunt about
Starting point is 00:18:20 Oh, yes you gave free tea But I don't want no tomatoes Only takes warm plum to runny and tired me Yeah, tell me And he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of...
Starting point is 00:18:54 ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... ...and he won the final beat of... to fry another day. I'm gonna ask each of our guests to think about something you'd find in a kitchen to the tune of a song from the James Bond franchise. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Fry another day. Their team may have to guess what colory item they're singing about. I'm gonna award one point for a correct answer, but up to 10 points for the song. We are gonna start with Tom. Now, Tom. There we go.
Starting point is 00:19:23 There's your item. Now, Celia, you're guessing what thing that you're finding a kitchen is Tom singing about. You're singing along to the song Gold Finger by Shirley Bassie from the movie at the same name, not Shirley Bassie. Okay, ready? Yeah, okay, okay, okay, could you just Remember What was that can I just say yeah, I only heard this just before the show I don't She's found the fat boy's in remix. Dun dun dun. Yeah. Do you want me to just sleep it for you? Can you guys do that?
Starting point is 00:20:09 Yeah. So if I go dun dun dun. Dun dun dun. Yeah, let's do it that way. Dun dun dun. Dun dun dun. Maddie, you're a key change drinker. That's all that show you why not. Mixture! In my bowl, got cake mixture in my bowl.
Starting point is 00:20:31 But I can't stir the mixture. Pregnant! Unless I use a spoon, but it's gone quite flat. Imagine that. It's a spoon but it's flat. Imagine that. Gorgeous work there Really good really good So I'm gonna get straight away. I'm gonna give you points for the song because you know what it's got to be 10 out of 10 It's gonna be 10 out of 10 for the song Partly as well because the audience is actually fantastic jobs section. So it's gonna be it's gonna be five points the audience five points at The full the full ten it's keeping it simply five points to the audience, five points to Tom. The full ten, it's keeping it tibly, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:28 But, Celia, what was Tom singing about? We might have went into a bit of a problem in that I can't remember the English word for it. You could give us the French word, we probably believe you. Can't remember the French word for you. Double, basically, double, what you're saying is you don say you don't know I think no any language any language at all I think maybe I remember the smell The sounds but I can't remember it in a sound of it. I think the French word is like a yeah
Starting point is 00:21:57 I'm saying is the English word for this. It's like a can I do this sound of it? Yeah, it's like a I guess... I guess it depends what you're doing with this thing. It's what sound it makes. Yeah, but if you pick it up and you're touching it, that's the sound. What the fuck? You're going to this thing. So you said it's a spoon, but it's flat. It's how you end it.
Starting point is 00:22:24 We don't patch an eyes meat. Paddle. So you said it's a spoon but it's flat. It's how you end it. Don't patch your nose mate. Pardon. Tom that's a hate crime. It's not going to be a fork is it? No. You can't remember the French word for fork. And also the knife is famously flat, isn't it? Surely.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Oh, yes. It's not a knife though, either. Anyway, it's... Go on. Yeah, go on. We just got the mind bomb. Go on, you can draw it, yeah. Can we draw it? Well, it's all the idea. It's a perfect spot.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Yeah, this is going to translate beautifully. Hello. You know what, that, what it is. What's playing French? What's it called? Again, I don't speak either language, it's... Oh! Sorry.
Starting point is 00:23:14 We forgot, it's said it's an elective mute, aren't you? I forgot about that. It does not look about right. It does look exactly right. It is, of course, a spatula is what we're looking for. Yes! I don't know why you're celebrating, you're not getting the points. If anyone wants it, I'll sign it and sell it.
Starting point is 00:23:32 Anyway, we're going to get it 20 quid to the 9th of a row. 100? What you're going to call it? So... So see the person's button. So, Rose, you're up next next. Now Ben, you're guessing. Yes. Your song Rose is, nobody does it better. Like Carly Simon from the movie The Spy Who Loved Me.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Here we go. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha I'm sorry. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing.
Starting point is 00:24:12 It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing.
Starting point is 00:24:20 It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. It's not a good thing. Thing you put in a sandwich with egg! Oh beautiful! You stitched me up here! You grow it in primary schools!
Starting point is 00:24:39 Please let this be over now, I beg! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE So half an improv game, half a hostage sit-down. Just slower than you think. He's really slow. Nobody does it better, or I can give loads of people who do it better. So, what thing that you would find in a kitchen was rose singing about? I think it is...
Starting point is 00:25:12 CREATS! It's CREATS! Everybody, it's CREATS! CREATS in a kitchen? If I'd creased in a kitchen. I was taught it was going to be an implement that you used to cook breakfast. I never said that.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Never said it. Check my tapes. We're recording this rose. Check my tapes. Next up is Celia. Does she get any singing points? Nope. What? I'm not having it.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Of course, sorry, of course you do. It's too little too late actually. Don't worry, don't worry. I'm not having it! Of course, sorry, of course you do. There's too little too late actually. Don't worry, don't worry. Don't worry, I do. Come on. A beautiful rendition there. Seven points to rose!
Starting point is 00:25:55 Seven points to rose! Thank you! What? Could have been 12 if the audience joined in. So, what's French for Cress? Don't ask me. I feel like, but when I'm hungover, I essentially get reset to factory settings. So you have got a skyfall by a down, Tom, what item?
Starting point is 00:26:24 Got to stop doing that mate. You have got a skyfall by Adele, Tom, we, what item? Gotta stop doing that mate, okay. Tom, what item? From the kitchen. Yeah, you might find it a kitchen is Celia singing about. Off we go. Let it get tension. Let it get tension.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Let the cyclist foes in the cake mix. Maybe in some grapes. And it's also nice with water and sugar. And also, I do feel over time And it's kind of presses again of... I'm rapping Do a breakdown, why not? Feel the flow mate Can I just stop? What language are you in it currently? I've got to ask that. Because I didn't get a single word of that,
Starting point is 00:27:28 and I've got it written down on the page here. Can I have some more points? Yeah, exactly. Can't back row as always forgiven. Right. Again, have you got any idea, Tom? I heard. I heard water and sugar.
Starting point is 00:27:46 I know, I know about that, is it's sometimes used as a weapon in prisons. That's right, yep. I used a very interesting word in it. Citrus. Citrus. Citrus. Citrus. Which... I should get points for using the word citrus.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Okay, you can have one point then. Okay. There you go, you've got your point. Your citrus points. Any idea, lemon, water, citrus, any clue? What item you find in a kitchen, Selling was singing about top? I'm going to say it's a pancake.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Oh, you fucked that. Yeah. Yeah, it's time to go. Everyone here knows what I was talking about. Does he feel it's been getting a point? Audience, what? I don't like it. It's not a cake, no.
Starting point is 00:28:35 What's that where you say tea? It's not tea, no. Tea pot. It's the thing you do that with. Lemon squeezer. Yeah, it's a, yeah. A lemon squeezer. Yes, a lemon squeezer. That should have been so awesome. That should have been easy peasy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, You were just a bit more slow on that one, I can't see. I've turned you and he just got that. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 00:29:07 I tell you what, bow heart would have been all over that. Even with Covid, she's great. Yeah, it's not me. Right. So you get your citrus point. That gets a point. What? Why did you say water and sugar? Because it... I got...
Starting point is 00:29:27 I'd be honest, I got carried away. It didn't seem like any of you were getting carried away. I feel like I really went to a place. A torture chamber. I guess you could say I'm pretty out there. I'm pretty off beat. I'm pretty off beat. Finally. Finally, just to say... Does she get any points?
Starting point is 00:29:49 What's that? Does she get any singing points? No! Emma, stop asking stupid questions. That was getting points flat. I'm friendly, you said Lemma squeeze out. Up in the gods, they can get a point, but apart from that, no. But also we should do 95 points with both teams and the audience.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Live it! Live it! All the audience winning. Yeah. I mean, well, you know, I'm not going to be a fan of this. I'm not going to be a fan of this. I'm not going to be a fan of this. I'm not going to be a fan of this. I'm not going to be a fan of this. I'm not going to be a fan of this. I'm not going to be a fan of this. I'm not going to be a fan of this. Please, up in the gods, they can get a point, but apart from that, no! But also we should identify points with both teams and the audience!
Starting point is 00:30:06 Leave it! Point all the audience winning. Yeah! Well, that's some ways! It might not feel like it right now. So, finally, Clarke, here is your item, Rose, you're guessing what item... ...Front? Not...
Starting point is 00:30:24 ...Front. ...that you would find in a kitchen. There is your item, Rose, your guessing, what item? Wrong. Wrong. That you would find in a kitchen. Now, this is exciting because we did... The fart. You can do it. Our version of Liverpool Let Die, which is the song you're going to be singing to by Paul McCarty in a week. Yes. The version we got in the end didn't sound great.
Starting point is 00:30:40 And then... Oh, no. Yeah. But you know what? Producer Quinn said, oh, I could play the OOPI But you know what, producer Quinn said, oh I could play the whole piano. So please welcome producer Quinn. Woo! Bro, a lie.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Miso! He's got some chops, it was amazing. What we were listening to the track, he was just a strolled up the piano casual. Oh we're gonna do the reggae breakdown, then. Nope. For a number of reasons, Tom. Can I still rap over it? to the track he was just a strolled up the piano casualish. Oh, we're gonna do the reggae breakdown, but nope. For a number of reasons, Tom. Can I still rap over it?
Starting point is 00:31:08 You can rap over it, you know. I've got some ideas. Yeah, but what a sugar, sugar water. Okay, Clarky is gonna be singing, Rose is gonna be guessing, producer Quinn, tickling the ivories, off we go. It's not yet when you were young and your kitchen didn't have a middle bits. You used to just walk in and put plates on the floor We
Starting point is 00:32:04 Now we spend more on the kitchen And now we put a big big in the middle A big big in the middle Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do Okay, water and sugar! Starting point is 00:32:58 Cheers! But most of all, producer Glee! Guys, have you just had your festival moment? I think that wins left the build, it's going in there. It's out of here. He's out here. He's got to fuck himself on the showcase, he's out of here. Sorry. So I'll get to give it, I mean, I've got to give the 10 points for Clark.
Starting point is 00:33:32 10 points for the audience as well. Fantastic 10 points for the audience. 10 points for Clarky, but Rose, what was Clarky singing about? Right, this is tough because it could be one of two. Do you know where I'm at with this? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It could be a knife two. Do you know where I'm at with this? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. It could be a fort, it could be a knife, yeah, we know. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 00:33:49 Is it lemon, is it sugar? Yeah. OK, I think, go with your gut. Go with your gut. I think it's a kitchen island. And you're correct! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Yeah! Yeah!
Starting point is 00:34:02 Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Hey, facts.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Producer Gwyn. Producer Gwyn, where are you, mate? He's off getting some pussy! Oh! No, Tom! Oh! Oh! Oh!
Starting point is 00:34:20 Quick, gots! No! No! I'm so sorry everybody can we just That was the last time It's so great doing a podcast in the 1980s You're all witnesses We can ask you to put it to the end if that's alright. So...
Starting point is 00:34:52 But producer Emma, would you like to give us the scores to live and let die? Tom and Sally have six. Ben and Rose have 19. Wow! Oh my god, so... So Ben and Rose are in the lead, but Tom and Celia are they toast? Let's find out in part two. See you after this Do you want to see what the world is really like? Yes Four things is deliciously funny and spectacularly entertaining a woman planting her course to freedom It's non-stop bonkers brilliance.
Starting point is 00:35:28 I love that. Poor things. It's like theaters December 15th. Welcome back to Flashest Love Live! Did you have a good interval? It's ragged a bit, isn't it? Say that much. So, now, before the break, and we all feel very rested after that,
Starting point is 00:35:52 Ben and Rose were in the lead. That hasn't changed, and neither has my grumbling belly. So let's fight out who's going to be making my breakfast as we play Round 2. It's flat games! Yay! Let's make a game up! Games! Let's make a game up! Games!
Starting point is 00:36:06 Let's make a river, roll the dice, spin the thing, put that down, use your toe! Games! If you lose, you can't not win! Games! If you win, you can't go! Go!
Starting point is 00:36:20 Go! Go! Listen to that! It's their army. ITV2! It's an audience waiting for you! Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I think people outside of this room would actually love to have my lemon squeed a step. So this week we're playing our version of Backgammon, which we're calling Macgammon. I am going to give each player a Welsh word or phrase and its definition. They now... they now... Oh.
Starting point is 00:36:59 I'll talk you Welsh. I'll tell you what you did with Gwyneth the break. He can't. It was a good song, man. It's a good hit, I have a reason to tell you that. They then have to give the opposite team three definitions, the real one and two they've made up on the spot. If the team has spot the real definition, they win a point.
Starting point is 00:37:22 If they can't, the point goes to the player. Obviously, as we are here in Wales, surrounded by genuine Welsh speakers, it would be churnish of me to attempt to mangle the language. So here we go. No, so... Can we have a cheer from the audience if you're Welsh, please? One, two, three? Not really enough, it's a bit... Not really enough to do this, but fair enough. The thing is, with the Welsh cheer I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:37:46 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:37:54 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:38:02 I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Stop that silence! He perhaps has so much backstage. You know what? You know what? I think that's more offensive than why I say that. That's worse, that is worse. Now we talked about this before.
Starting point is 00:38:12 I had a few run-ups at the name and I've genuine, I've written down what I thought was phonetically, but this was about 20 minutes ago. And I've written ESS, IT hyphen CHL hyphen T. What am I supposed to do with that? I'm as well just written down how it's actually spelt. But please welcome our dear friend CIRCY. CIRCY is here.
Starting point is 00:38:34 CIRCY is here, CIRCY is here. APPLAUSE Wow. CIRCY, give it to be straight, I fucked it so bad there. So bad. So bad. And I mean, he's even spelted wrong in the script. Oh, you're kidding me. No. Oh, I was.
Starting point is 00:38:59 You've got ESYL double T. Oh, yeah. I'm serious. I'm very sorry. What's Mardis? Her name's Emma. I can't help feel though, I'm only here, so you can apply for a whilst government grant. That's it. With this close to the funding, just chill out, alright.
Starting point is 00:39:21 We're going to make it happen. So, you're here to give us the Welsh words. S.F. Oh God. No. Shall I introduce myself? Yeah, do it yourself, yeah, you can. Hi.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Hi. My name's S.F. S.F. They can do it. Oh, no, they couldn't. I don't know. If we went around and did them all individually, I think it would Oh, no, they couldn't. I don't know. If we went around and did them all individually, I think it would be a lot of carquins. We're just going to go around and do them all individually.
Starting point is 00:39:54 These aren't it. So, so anyway, Celia, you're going to be up first. Okay. So, for Celia and the audience, can we have the correct pronunciation? Two cents gone. I'm really panicking here. I'm surprised no one's walked out yet. I know, that's... They've seen this before.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Can I have the correct pronunciation of the word? That Celia is going to be defining, please. Marla. The word's to word. OK. Celia. Three definitions. If you please, Tom.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Yeah. Chill out, it's these guys guessing. I'm sorry. Yeah, that's good. Tom, you're doing a great job. I love your pussy humour, really good stuff. A few more of those things. I've been in my working program for a while.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Okay, you guys are trying to work out which one is the correct definition, Celia? So it's either a motorway. Oh, good word, isn't it? A door or a carrot? OK. A motorway, a door, or a carrot. Take it away. Ooh!
Starting point is 00:41:28 What are you doing? First, yeah, I want to say I think she's just said door because she can see a door. LAUGHTER You were looking, go call. I'm just a door. Scanning the room for a motorway at the moment. There are quite a few green grocers in as well, so you know.
Starting point is 00:41:47 So you're just... So you're just... A motorway and not door. You're discounted door straight away. Well I don't know, would you record? I think you're right, I think... She started confident in motorway and we peered off from there. Yeah, I guess I'm pretty to go on my own to a and we beat her not from there.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Yeah, I guess I'm pretty out there. I mean it could just be good acting but I reckon it's my way. Oh do you? Yeah, I reckon camera. Oh hold on. Well just because psychologically I think she's made up motorway, she's gone on makeup one first then she's panicked and gone door This is my
Starting point is 00:42:35 Well, she's the oldest language in Europe, isn't it so did they have motorways back then he knows it's a motorway He's trying to put us off the sand just say no, I'll defer to you Who has? Should we say mate way? We'll go mate way. So you see? Motoe? No. You idiot!
Starting point is 00:42:59 If it's Thor, I'm gonna fucking kick off. Moron is carrot. Oh,, he's carrot. At least I was right in guessing that I would be wrong. Can I have a point please? New. Okay, so Ben, you are up next. Here we go. C.S. He's going to give you the words. Okay, you've got you are up next. Here we go. CSE is going to give you the words. Okay, you've got it there. The correct pronunciation is... Sponken.
Starting point is 00:43:31 LAUGHTER Gwim! LAUGHTER Can we have that one more time? Would you like it in a sexy voice? Yeah, it's a lady. A sexy ear voice. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:43:48 You're welcome. It's sort of reparations, but not really. Sponken. I've changed it all by one. Okay, we'd like three definitions for Spongken. Certainly. Is it Squash? Is it Door?
Starting point is 00:44:23 Is it my Ed? I imagine. Oh, or is it cake? And it's a Welsh cake. By squash, do you mean the drink or the sports? Let's say. Sports. Okay. A sport like, as in butter and squash. The sport, all the sports. Sponken. Sponken. Sponken. What are you thinking? Now now you've heard it you've heard three definitions very strong definitions
Starting point is 00:45:06 Tell you Tom what do you think you've heard the words say in a sexy voice? Any idea Well, she's the oldest language in Europe Here we go. It's got a fact squash is not the oldest racket sport in Europe in Europe. But is it a ball? They don't stop, they don't stop, they don't stop, they don't stop. Cake is one of the oldest foods in Europe. And what do you make it with? You make it with a lemon squeeze, a baby. Any idea, any idea. I've got an idea, but not for this. Mae'r gweith APPLAUSE Really well done, Clarke. What do you call basket ball, then? Pale vascade. It's pale as ball. Baskade is basket. But...
Starting point is 00:46:35 LAUGHTER I'll have that for my word next. But, famously, that is the oldest sport in Europe. King Arthur's sport of choice. I just saw that. I'd be saying King Arthur in French. French? French?
Starting point is 00:46:58 Oh, sorry. OK, let's... No, wait, no, wait, no, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, no, see me from... OK, Ben, you might need to rest your brain for this. Tom, you've got your word there. Yeah. Sir Zo, would you please give us... Go, go, sir Zo. Yeah, the Sir's Yacht, give us... The correct pronunciation, please.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Biuch, goch, gotta. Biuch, gotorg, gota. They know. Biuch, gorg, gota. Booth? It's a hard language. If you've not learned it from birth, it's a hard language. Okay, so it's for a little red cow. Little Red Hill and it's a pig ball. Little Red cow for a lady bird. And a little red dog. Oh, little red chest for a Robin. Oh, that is lovely.
Starting point is 00:48:35 Little Red Hill, little Red Cow, little Red Chest. Okay, what do you think? Koon Pals, Lady Birds, Robin. Thank you Tom. Three, all these things in yours. LAUGHTER APPLAUSE Pimple.
Starting point is 00:48:54 OK. You don't have to play, so you're serious. LAUGHTER Can I see it? Yeah. No. No, I'm just kidding. OK. Rose, Ben, what are you thinking?
Starting point is 00:49:06 I'm thinking, where the fuck does he get off say a little red cow? LAUGHTER Has that helped you anyway discern what the arts might be? I mean, is it none of them? I can't be. I'm leaning towards Robin. Okay. Yeah. But if...
Starting point is 00:49:30 Yeah. Such a united team. That's what I love about it. It's great. Well, here's the thing. I was terribly wrong. And I feel like I bullied Rose off the right answer. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:41 So Rose, what's your instinct? OK, yeah, stepping into Psychon, and I was just, it's a get-why-not. I think Ben's right. I think it is Robin, and I think it probably does say Little Red Chest, and I think Tom has thought I'm going to do Little Red for all of them. And you say, you think you thought I'm going to do
Starting point is 00:50:02 Little Red for all of them? How'd you work that one out? It's wheels with it wheels, isn't it? How long were you in the mind palace for that one? Imagine if it's Little Red Cow lady bird though. Imagine. Should we say it just for for laughs? He paused for a long time, but you kind of solved the dummy Yeah, you did that as well Right, I know surely yeah Robin Robin you go and Robin Robin and Welsh is Robin go fuck
Starting point is 00:50:45 So nearly it's Lady Bird. Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh, guys. Oh! Guys, you've just had your festival moment. Oh, you sold it so well, that, because you were like cringing at the...
Starting point is 00:50:58 Well, I mean, I'm cringing at all of this. Oh, you sold it so well, that, because you were like cringing at the... Well, I mean, I'm cringing at all of this. Final word, final word, it's for Rose. Miss Sears, still for what rounds to go. I know. still for what rounds to go. And I... Saoess goch.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Saoess goch. Okay. Does it mean... ...as cheeks? Little red as cheeks. Is red-ask cheeks. Is there a weird look at it? Not when Gwyn's in turn. Tom. Tom, get out. for you. Okay. Sorry, you're at Ask Cheeks. Not so.

They're touring. I'm calling a problem, if you've got a problem call it a beef, if you've got a beef, maybe we can help you be from the sunny-gagging beef.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Yes, it's Beef Brothers, where each week we ask our panelists to sort out a flat-share-based beef. And today's one comes from Amanda, who writes. It's very simple, it's basically bullet points. Amanda, are you there, by the way? Hey, there you are, hey. Okay, location of magazine rack. I want to keep it in the hall. My husband is a bull in a china shop
Starting point is 00:56:00 and constantly knocks his legs into it. So there we go, that's a beef from... Do you know where I keep my magazine rack? Back in the 1950s. LAUGHTER Do you live in a dentist's sir? LAUGHTER So keep it in the waiting room.
Starting point is 00:56:17 That's for a man, I'll tell you now. Ben and Rose, you are on a man's side. Yes, of course I am. I love magazine rack. Yes. Tom, very useful. Tom and Sabia, you are on a manned side. Yes, of course I am. I love magazine, right? Yes. Tom, very useful. Tom and Sepp, my magazine. You're on the husband's side, I guess.
Starting point is 00:56:31 Or you just don't want to... Where does the husband want to keep it, I think? That's the question. Anywhere else? Apart from the hall. Yeah. And you have to be in the hallway. I don't think it fits better anywhere else. I've got it. Yeah. What else is in this hallway? So you come through the front door, you're
Starting point is 00:56:51 in the hallway, on the way to the front room, you want people to pick up a magazine to go in. It's just conjecture. Who's sp... Okay, okay, okay. What else is in the book? He's leaving the witness, he's leaving the witness! Yeah, into the living room where the magazine rocks to be. What else is in this hallway of yours? Like a bookshelf and a coat rack. Oh, there we go. A bookshelf and a coat rack and a...
Starting point is 00:57:19 It's where the rack's live! LAUGHTER Bookshelf, coat rack and a magazine rack in your hallway. Do you have a water stones? Are there any chairs in this hallway? No. No. Are there any other questions you'd like to ask Amanda?
Starting point is 00:57:36 Anyone got any other questions about her hallway? What magazines do you keep in the magazine rack? Clarke you're laughing at the fact I called it her hallway, yes. So is this one drink if there was a Welsh word for that. Yes, no. No question about her red sleeve, just a hallway if that's okay. A real ways to the bottom now, isn't it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:52 Rose, because I've read your question. What magazines are in the magazine rack? Great question. I think there's some private eyes in there. There's like some empty envelope. Um, empty envelopes. Yeah, struggling to defend this one for once. Have you got any draws in your house?
Starting point is 00:58:11 Do you have an office in Amanda? Yeah. You don't have an office. Yeah. Okay. No further questions. Well, we're just trying to raise wide open. I think, I guess, I think personally, I think we need to go on rather than defending the
Starting point is 00:58:29 magazine, Mac placement, we need to go on the offensive against your, what do you say, husband, partner? Husband, husband, husband. Yeah, I think this guy... What's with you, you piece of shit? Yeah. It's your fucking problem, mate. Is your husband here, by the way, Amanda?
Starting point is 00:58:42 Yeah, here. Oh, here he is. Pull it in a china shot. Yeah, I saw you. What's... So you're not going to miss the whole early run, yeah? It's got fucking here by the way Amanda. Oh he means put it in a triner shot. Yeah I saw you. What's, what's, just so you're not going to be able to throw it early on. Yeah. You've got a fucking massive carves that guy looking at it. What's that with it? What, what you doing in the hallway, just coming in,
Starting point is 00:58:52 you're just like kicking everything. You just want to have a little space to do the hoki-koki and whatnot. The magazine wreck is in front of another door. So if you're a man, you're gonna be killed. Hey, I'm Hector! is in front of another door. So if you're a man, you're gonna be a guy. I don't have a door to any point. I'm trying to get my fingers. It goes right up to the top. Objection, the way you're talking finished.
Starting point is 00:59:13 What, Wes, what's the other, you were doing that Amanda, what do you, it doesn't block any doors. I wouldn't have put it in front of a door. Amanda, it sounds like you blocked the door. What, behind the door, what room is it?. Sounds like you blocked the door. What? Behind the door. What room is it?
Starting point is 00:59:27 Yeah, what's behind the door? What's behind the door, Amanda? What are you hiding, Amanda? It's not a wreck. Oh, you can go into any rooms of the house, but not this one. It's between the doors of the bedroom and the living room. It fits really well there. It's like the perfect width. In the walking space, basically. Yeah. It's right in the middle of the bedroom and the living room, it fits really well there. It's like the perfect width.
Starting point is 00:59:45 In the walking space, basically. Yeah. It's right in the middle of the walking space. It's lush against the wall. I just think we've got, yeah, I just think this magazine rack, you know, it's representing a power dynamic in that relationship. OK.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Say this for me. Say this for me. OK. Oh, sorry. What was the man who's husband's name, by the way? What was your name, please? Ben. the way, what's your name please? Ben. Ben, okay. Is it in the horse? Sorry.
Starting point is 01:00:10 It's not in the landing. We said it's by the bedroom. Did she say a little? Amanda, do you know who's from here? Shall we go through? We live in a flat, probably. Is it a bungalow? A flat.
Starting point is 01:00:22 It's a flat. It's a flat. It's a flat. What? a top-coms. What? It's called flat shear slam down. LAUGHTER How can you even have thought about the existence of flats? What's really what? It's called bungalow, jumbo low low.
Starting point is 01:00:32 LAUGHTER It's got rejects. It is more confusing than the title we eventually picked. So, listen, I think we've heard enough here, OK? It's a flat. It's flush against the wall, but it might be in the way of the door. This is, this is hopefully enough information for our teams to make their cases.
Starting point is 01:00:47 So without further ado, I'm gonna call upon Rose Johnson to begin the case for the prosecution. Your minute begins now. I think this magazine rack represents the power dynamic in this relationship. Great to hear it again. Yeah. I think that if we let the magazine rack be moved,
Starting point is 01:01:10 what next? With more droves are going, you know, I'm struggling. The frieches be transparent. Well, I just think this man, sorry Ben, I'm struggling here. I think this man wants to go on around the flat kicking shit everywhere All a man to once is a simple magazine rack if the magazine rack goes it won't be longer before she does too Really good really good. Oh Johnson everybody Oh, really good. Really good, great job Johnson, everybody.
Starting point is 01:01:43 APPLAUSE I've decided to move on from being a cyclist, and a list I'm going to be a lawyer now actually. Yeah, good. Got a talent. Right, Celia, to begin the case- Not singing for the defense. Your minute.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Oh, how dare you. A low blow, mate. Coming from you. People in glass flats, mate. LAUGHTER Your minute Celia begins now. coming from you. People in glass flats mate. Your minutes are here begins now. Well first of all Amanda, it seems like there's a bit of history there isn't there. Between her and her husband. Looking at the notes here Amanda, it looks like you've already implemented a bookshelf, is that correct?
Starting point is 01:02:24 Is that correct? Amanda, it also looks like you've implemented a place for people to hand coats, isn't there, Amanda? Yeah, Amanda. I'm sorry to say, a hallway is not a room. Oh. Oh. Amanda, it looks like you've been attacked. You're getting attached to things and it starts to me that you might have some holding tendencies. It starts with magazine record before you know it everywhere in the fly. It's lemon squeeze and it's insatulars.
Starting point is 01:03:08 And I think that for the love of Benjamin, your husband Benjamin, that you love, do not stop blocking doors. It sounds to me that you don't want him to get away Amanda. And as we open up, the words, the Welsh word for door is... Thank you, Sally, I paid that. The words, the Welsh word for door is... LAUGHTER Thank you, Sally, I'd be there. Thank you. APPLAUSE Can I just say, Sally, I can't consult in a piece of paper, though.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Or, on that piece, paper is the drawing of Matthew. LAUGHTER It's very good. It's Matthew, he was a 1950s robber. I'll put it for five pounds like you did. And the... I'm in a little pack. I've got to ask, I've got to ask Amanda, Ben, how do you think it's going so far? The relationship?
Starting point is 01:04:08 No further questions. Now, ticking, again, including the case for the prosecution, Ben, off you go. Thank you. So I should actually point out to the people listening at home, Ben is actually dressed as a clown and has massive feet on. Are you talking about yourself in the third verse? Yeah. Here's the thing. The, actually, Celia, the hall is a room, the hallway.
Starting point is 01:04:41 Actually, it's a hall. It's fucking massive. It's got apparatus on the walls. No the hall is a room. Can I object to this? The hall is a room and I'll tell you the hallways are room and it's because of what I'll tell you that is a cluedo board and If this is a cable clue, though Which it's not Where did you get your licence? Catherine Bowhart hasn't got Covid. She just listened to an episode of 4-5. You got five seconds.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Er, the defence, right? There you go. I put you in the press. Awesome. We're the prosecutions. I'm trying to arrest them, so they don't have a repart. So I don't want to make up excuses, but my handover has really kicked in. I think that's where everybody, now Tom, are you going to conclude the case before the defence as yourself?
Starting point is 01:05:43 I'm going to do it in the style of a John Grisham defence lawyer from the deep south, Mr Fanchor Standard. Fanchor Standard, presiding and providing a million tricky difficult games now. Ladies and gentlemen, after Durey, good to see you, tell you something. I reckon that's some of you from the city there. Hello. I recognize some of you from the city there. Hello. Welcome to our little town here. Around here, we're small time folk.
Starting point is 01:06:12 I recognize you from the chip shop. Nice to have a chip shop in town. Fried and potatoes. Although their visitors over there in this little town of ours started to use some big word that we don't really understand around here, magazines. Sounds like a French word to me, magazine. Around here we don't have no magazine, Fox News. All I need to know.
Starting point is 01:06:45 Listen to that story over there about this magazine, Rackdoll, kind of got me thinking, got me thinking about what they put in these magazine racks, these days, empty envelopes. Envelope, another French word Sounds to me like a country not fighting in war so linking me good words Fox News Let me tell you something about MDM the lobes there got me thinking about the time my great granny passed away. Oh yeah. Won't funny to me.
Starting point is 01:07:29 Great granny raised me, man and boy, Hammond Gritz. Ain't no one make Hamm and grits like great-grandda. When great-grandda passed away, the grits got her in the air. Too many grits. She said, Dr. Tells me no more grits, but if the grits go and I go, well well she was right in the end. But it wasn't the heart of death, the Gritz fell on her head, she kept them on the top shelf. Heavy Gritz, that's why they were so tasty. Two weeks after she passed, we went around her house,
Starting point is 01:08:22 found a big pile of envelopes. Let me tell you something, those envelopes were an empty. Fifty or sixty years of envelopes, love letters, normal letters. Fan mail. Junk mail. Junk photos. Great granny lived a life. All I'm saying here is, don't go hoarding no empty envelopes.
Starting point is 01:09:05 You want a house as full of envelopes that be full. Like your life. Like great-grandes' life. Enjoy your grits. No further question, too. Thank you, Sandy. APPLAUSE I'm sure a standing man. APPLAUSE Am I going mad or did that sort of make sense this time? Now, obviously, I can't make the decision myself.
Starting point is 01:09:36 An Englishman should never meddle in a legal case on Welsh soil. So, instead, I call upon other comfort audience to make it for us. So, if you think Rose and Ben and therefore Amanda is in the right, I'd like you to applaud now. LAUGHTER I am just a star. You're going down Amanda. But if you think Celia and Fanashore made the best case, applaud now.
Starting point is 01:10:00 CHEERING That's like the end of sent to the woman. It would have been so funny if it was the same amount of applause. Amanda, Ben, how do you feel about the result? Yes, fair. Yeah, Amanda was literally applauding for the other side. So we are nearly in the home stretch. All we have to do is scale one final melodic hurdle if the quick fire round jingle!
Starting point is 01:10:45 Und dran kleif ihm Ich ruft sin mint in tieflem Einen Erdien nur pamm' Mein Donald Pot, Gandoglin finiatt' Oh, ich hab's nicht gesehen it, she's hung herself. Why not? I'm making a doggy niatfi And me round in fiasyan I've tried to get through Google Translate well I'm not sure that it is very practical, but I gave it a go.
Starting point is 01:11:31 It was a valiant attempt. I'm sure that will be uploaded by the Welsh people in the crowd Deochh'in vow Let's get on with the quick fire round Or as the world should say The team round Tan Clif Limit, very difficult language. But the oldest, in you know.
Starting point is 01:12:11 APPLAUSE APPLAUSE Yes, indeed. This is a quick part around. And as our show is about cooking breakfast, I'm going to ask a series of questions. I'd like our panelists to change the last word of their answer to an item from a fry up, OK?
Starting point is 01:12:30 So if I were to ask, what is there with the recent Beatles documentary directed by Beatle Jackson, you would say, get black pudding. That's what we're after here. It doesn't have to be as clever as that. LAUGHTER It could just be, it could just be get egg. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed.
Starting point is 01:12:51 It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed. It's getting buzzed Can I just say I've literally never seen a pair of arms more firmly folded? They've gone round twice now. He's broken a rib. Always lovely to gain a new list. Everyone's joined in now as well.
Starting point is 01:13:23 Can we do that? Can we do a Mexican fold? So, instead of buzzers, I like to use your first names. Ben and Rose, let's hear yours. Ben. And Tom and Celia. Tom. Celia. Tom. Off we go. What song did Brian Adams record for the movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves?
Starting point is 01:13:43 Tom. Tom. You know it's true, everything I do. I do it for egg. Who is the current Prince of Wales? Rose. Prince Beans. Now in the bell, inside the initials, the RSPB? Tom, Tom, the Royal Society for the Protection of Mushrooms. Name the actor who played the mother in Mamamia. Rose. Rose.
Starting point is 01:14:19 Merrill Sausage. What is the largest mammal in the world? Ben. Celia? Ben. Ben. Blue beans. We've had beans already. Oh, sorry, Celia.
Starting point is 01:14:34 Toast. So are you right? Which American... Aesda, absolutely Aesda. I'm sorry. A-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-st-a-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-a-sth-sth tale of two. You got this, take it home. Vegan sausages. You're gonna allow it. Famous for its slotted appearance. How is the bell tower of piece of cathedral better known? Rose. The leaning tower of tomato. Correct. Name the Pixar movie voiced by Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres have had a missing fish. Tom. Finding a can of Lucas Aides. LAUGHTER
Starting point is 01:15:28 I'm going to allow it. So I'll be doing tomorrow morning. Final question. What was the name of Star Wars Episode 1? Celia. Celia. Brandon. LAUGHTER I'm not wrong, man. I mean, I was looking for the fountain brown sauce, but, um, sure, um, that is the end of the
Starting point is 01:15:52 round, and the end of the game, then it turns out Sally didn't understand. And at any point, you've actually, if I say, don't give any part of the answer. Just a bit really. I'm sorry. So I got carried away. I thought we were just naming stuff. No, well, we loved it. We moved on from the door round.
Starting point is 01:16:19 So thanks to everyone for watching. As always, check out the Patreon and all that kind of paper. But producer Emma, let's hear the final scores. I've got no idea, this is very exciting. Okay, so the audience, they stayed at 16, they didn't get any more. Congratulations, audience, a very, very good score. Yeah. To say both of you got demand, no?
Starting point is 01:16:37 Yes. More than, yeah. Tom and Celia have 17. Ben and Rose, 24. Oh! So Tom and Celia are taking the breakfast, 12, Ben and Rose, 24. Oh! So, Tom and Salia are picking the front first 12. Ben and Rose are having it in bed with me, although I'm starting 130-7 miles outside of town. Thanks to our guest Salia, A.B. and Rose Johnson, and of course C.S.E. Producer Quinn on the Iberis. We've been Pat E's, see you next time on, Black Shares Lando!
Starting point is 01:17:05 Pappies for that Shares Lando, I'm a decent man, he's got his benclub in top Harry, with special guest Rose Johnson, 7-0-A-B, and of course, a S-S-S. I'll tell you what, just drop in the correct pronunciation of her name there, if that's okay, just stop. Correct pronunciation of her name, and then we go.
Starting point is 01:17:20 It was devised by Pappies and Ben Walker, let's play a decent firema caution, and can we use famous? Can you use firema caution? Be back to Henry's where he's from, Firema Caution. And can we say this? Can you do Firema Caution? Be back to Henry's D-Prep. Everyone working on that. I don't want to want to put these days in today's show. Papi's flat share is flagged out.
Starting point is 01:17:33 Does it really fluctuate like a new genchita of life? Wow. Yeah. Did you enjoy the hell out of that, guys? I hope you did. We certainly did. It feels like, you know, people talk about those kind of moments where people step up to the plate, people talk about Florence, Glastonbury stepping in when the food fighters couldn't
Starting point is 01:17:54 perform. Polp. They're coming of age. Oh, I did, yeah, yeah. You know, they're famously stepped up to the plate. It feels like that was, come of the hour, come of producer Gwynn. And it feels like it feels like the start of something, you know, it feels like very much the start of something. I feel very privileged to have been there to witness that.
Starting point is 01:18:14 Yeah, I can't wait for him to become like, you know, like, it's going to be people show up for Gwynn's piano work. That's what it's going to be. People are going to be people sharp for Gwen's piano work. That's what it's going to be. People are going to sharp now. It's going to be a bigger contingent of Gwen fans in the audience. You know, just fingers crossed that he tinkled the ivories.
