Everyone is finally back together. But there's no time to catch up. They need to get off the ship. Before they can leave though, Dale has one request. He wants to know if they can check his room for his cousin. Reluctantly, everyone agrees. Michelle, where did you get that axe? We found it. That's when I saw Roger enter the room. It was in a supply box on the main deck. you didn't find help uh we are the help shit is that another one roger shut the door and walked past michel over to me what happened shane hold on i don't think we should be catching up right now this isn't a reunion roger can you give me a towel please i uh need one too erker got up and went to the bathroom

she came back out with two towels one for her and one for michel They clean the blood from their faces and arms. Roger stayed by me, looking over my body. Thanks, Roger. Sorry, but look at Shane. He knelt beside me. What happened? I can't move.

He got hurt in the fall. He says he can't move at all. I can't. You may have broken your neck. Or back. But again, do we have time for this? Erica came over and sat next to my head. She wiped my forehead.

You're hurt. Your arm. I'll be okay. She wiped the gash, then toss the towel over our shoulder. Michelle, I can't believe you came back. We didn't find help. What else we're supposed to do? Find a way off the ship.

That turned out to be easier said than done. So it's not possible? No, it is. We just have to... Look. More. I'm sorry. Look for what?

What's your name again? Dale. No, no, no. Introductions? Really? We need to get out of here. I agree with that statement. We're all together again, fucking great, but this isn't happily ever after. We need to get back to the main deck. You really didn't see anybody?

No one. Who's steering the ship? No one. But how? We don't know. The controls up there, they're fucking smashed. Water's leaking everywhere. We noticed that, too. In the engine room. You were in the engine room.

That's where the elevator landed. I knew it. We found them. Then how did you get here? We made this the meeting point, but how did you find us? This was our first stop on our way down. Just in case. We figured maybe you would come here to look for Shane.

I told you they would be in the engine room, though. Who cares, Roger? We found them here. And we also heard you guys from the stairwell. It's a pretty quiet ship, so hearing your screams made it easier to pinwheel. point your location. Are we done now? Can we leave? Cora, are you okay? I'm fine. Are you sure? Yes, Sky. I am. But I saw your leg bend in the elevator. Still able to move. But I wasn't. Everyone had looked over to me after Cora made a comment. We should head back up

to the main deck. We didn't find a raft, but we can keep looking. Now that we're all together again. What about a lifeboat? Can't lower them. We tried. Why? We told you. Everything's busted. You set on the navigation deck.

Everywhere. They're automated, and the power's out. We noticed. There's a chance the emergency lights could go out too. Dale shine his flashlight at the wall. Then let's not wait till it happens. Let's find a raft. Let's do it.

Wait. What about Shane? We all move him like we were before. No, we should carry him this time. There's more of us. It'll be faster and may limit noise. What are you talking about? That was only one thing.

As far as we know, there are two others. Including that big one. Did you see any more? Us? Yeah. No. Do you think you killed that one? I heard it.

But it's not dead. It crawled away. But maybe it won't come back now. Who cares? Like this dude said, there's two others. That we know about. Exactly. So can we leave?

now? Fine, let's carry Shane then. Uh, there's one other thing. What now? I, I have to check my room. For what? My cousin. Are you serious? I am. I did mention this before. If you guys don't want to come with me, that's fine.

Wait, what's going on? He was with his cousin. When? On the cruise. Our room isn't far from here. Maybe you didn't hear us, but we saw no one else. No one. It doesn't matter.

I can't leave until I know for sure. Son of a bitch. See what happens when you try to help, Roger? I said you guys don't have to accompany me. You can't go off on your own. Sky. He can't. I agree.

Shane? He helped me. He helped me out of the elevator and out of the engine room. Him and Kor. We should all stick together. Are you sure? Because... I know I'm going to be a burden, right?

That's not what I was going to say. It's what I'm saying. We can't let him go off alone. It's dangerous. That's an understatement. Look at me. She stood there, motioning to her blood-soaked clothes. I appreciate that. Where's your room?

This level, other side. The creature run that way. It's where I have to go. Man, you really think she's going to be there? Waiting out. I... have to make sure. It's only fair, right?

Erica motioned to everyone else. She was right. We had each other now. Cora, and Skye, Michelle, and Roger. I promise, we look real quick. If she isn't there, we leave. To the main deck? To the main deck.

Let's do this quickly. Damn it. Everyone got ready. Eric and Sky had knives. Cora picked up her pipe. Michelle readied her axe. Dill held up his flashlights. I'll lead

M. I don't know. We turned the first corner and saw nothing. Uh, that's not a good sound, right? Just keep moving, Sky. I wasn't stopping. It's just around this corner to the left. Is there a stairwell at the end of the hall?

Should be. Over here. We turned another corner. I couldn't see anything but the ceiling. Every other blue light flickered. It gave me a headache, so I closed my eyes. Shane, are you okay? I'm fine. Okay.

Here. When I reopened my eyes, it stopped. I could see the top of a door frame. It's open. Then fucking look, man. Quickly. Okay. We're just going to stay here, then.

Yes, Roger. He's fine. Can we put Shane down? Just for a minute. Sorry, Shane. It's... It's fine. It's not you. It's the door.

It's heavy. I tried to fight back tears. I felt like this whole thing was my fault, and this... Me being paralyzed. Was this my punishment? No, it's not. Dad? Um, what did he just say?

Dad. Shane, are you okay? Is that you? Shane, what are you talking about? Did he say, Dad? Shane, I told you to get off the ship. Now it's too late. Dad, please.

Shane. Shane, what's going on? Is he hallucinating? Fuck's sake. Dude, let's go. His name's Dale. No care. Let's go.

Michelle, how many times? Don't yell. Shane, please. Look at me. Dad? Dad? It's Erica, babe. It's me. Look at me.

Dad, where are you? I am not your father. I am not Will. I am the entity that needs you. It's too late and now your time has come. You cannot save your friends. You cannot save yourself. What? Shane, please.

Can we go now? Dale, where the hell is he? Sorry. Sorry. She's not here. No shit. Can we go now? Shane, beware of the shadow man.

He comes for you. Dick, please. You're too late. Just then I closed my eyes tightly and reopened him. Eric was staring at me. Shane? I don't. I think we're going to get off this shit.

Uh, guys? I stood up and followed Kora's gaze down the hall. Under a blinking blue light stood the tall deer-headed figure with a black denim jacket. It held up the machete and cocked its head. Uh, maybe we should head back. But when we turned the other way, we saw a creature closing in. This one in the red flannel shirt. It crawled slowly along the ceiling.

Its antlers hanging, blood dripping. We're trapped. It's coming this way. Do we run? We can't. What about Shane? Son of a bitch! Leave me.

What? No. Leave me, Erica. Run. Get off the ship. No, Shane. Stop. What's the plan?

Well? I think we can make it. What are you talking about? Just that another figure crawled around the corner. It was the one that Michelle had injured. Apparently it wasn't injured enough. Still think we can make it? Motherfucker.

Help me, Moshane. Where, Erika, where? Into the room. No, fuck that. We'll be trapped. We're already trapped. Michelle, we have to do something. We don't have a choice right now.

We can't run. They're close. Into the room. Help me with Shane, please. Help me. Just then, the two crawling creatures started running towards us, but not the big one. He still lumbered forward, blocking the entire hallway. In the room now!

Dale jumped out and helped me to leave Shane. We didn't have time to untie him, so we pulled the door. Erica! Hurry! Move! Move! We lifted the door to lift it up. Roger held Shane's body in place as we pulled him in. Go, go! Get the door!

Move! Fuck! We had all made it in, but the creatures were right outside the room. Roger, Cora, and Dale helped Michelle brace the door. Son of a bitch! This thing is got to come down. Sky, help me! Me and Sky pulled Shane back away from the door.

That's when I noticed how large this room was. Way bigger than ours. Must have been a sweet. Where? Over here. It's going to get through. No, it's not. No. Really?

Don't move. I'm not. Okay, Sky, we need to help them. Erica and Sky ran over to the door and help brace it. What do we do? There's nothing we can do. They're going to get in. That's when I noticed a moth.

It's better pass. Was it the same one as before? Couldn't move, but I could just barely catch sight of it flying towards the corner of the room. There, in the darkness. The shadow man. God. Who are you? Who are you?

The shadow man glided across the room till he was in front of me. Was he here to finally claim me? He hovered a moment. His arm outstretched I can't I can't I can't The shadow man slid from view

Where did he go I can't hold it anymore But coming in Fuck this I saw Michelle stand Holding the axe high ready for a fight Oh shit What happened

Did they just leave? What the hell? They can't be. I don't hear them. Me either. Wait. We shouldn't move from the door. Well, if they're gone, we should leave.

Now? Yes, Sky, now. I don't know if that's such a good idea. They may be waiting for us. You want to just wait here? Maybe we should give it some time. Wait. Do you hear that?

Hear what? Listen. I heard what Michelle heard. Something was outside the door. What is that? Is it one of those things? Don't move from the door. Something's there.

Hold on a second. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Dale get on all fours. He was trying to peer under the door. I'm not sure how unless part of it was cracked. It's there. What's it doing? Just. Standing there.

Oh, shit. The one with the machete was right outside. He didn't leave with the others. What do you want? Sky, stop. Uh, it left. Bullshit. I don't see it.

That doesn't mean it left. It could be waiting out there, right around the fucking corner. Possibly, but it's not by the door. What do we do now? But no one had an answer. Instead, we sat and stunned silence. And all I could do was stare at the ceiling and trying to fight back tears. Paralyzed.
