Ray?
Roland, you make it?
To the city?
Yeah, but I hit traffic, so I haven't talked to her yet.
But you're in Romona?
Yeah, coming up on her neighborhood now.
Did you look over all the interviews?
Everything you sent me, everything that was online.
The videos?
Watch them, too.
It's good, right?
As good as it can be.
Sorry I haven't been in.
touch more things have been hectic over here hope i'm not holding you up with my stuff no no different case
if you need a break i don't good i appreciate the help sure but uh things are a bit dry over here now
no other leads not from the names you've given how about your end this past week has been nothing but
this story and travel how was travel fine i want to thank you it's nothing
No, Ray, that's not true. You've set me up with a lot. If it weren't for you, I don't know where I'd be right now. What I'd be doing.
How are you? I'm fine.
Roland? I'm serious.
Nightmares, visions?
Nothing major. Not in a while.
Uh, David? Not since that night.
Hey, Ray, I'm pulling up to the house now.
make sure you're easy on her you don't think i will be she's probably seen the stories out of laden the question is does she give it any credence
oh i'm sure she does if it's anything like benson or julia julia oh wait what about julia um don't worry about that now
what are you talking about ray what happened with julia i was doing some follow-up looks like she was admitted to a special care facility
When?
It's okay, Roland.
Okay, she admitted herself.
What?
When were you going to tell me this?
After your interview.
Shit.
Why wouldn't she call me?
I don't know, Roland, but don't worry about that now.
Okay, she's fine.
And I'll give you all the details when you finish, okay?
Fine.
Now, go get some information.
Go easy on the girl.
It may have been years ago, but I'm sure she hasn't healed yet.
I'm hoping she's not like Benson.
You said she lives with her parents.
Parents?
Yeah, she does now.
Looks like a nice home.
Call me when you finish.
Okay.
Good luck.
I stood there staring at the large two-story suburban home with white aluminum fencing and freshly cut grass.
If the girl was living here,
girl was living here, she was already doing
a lot better than Benson, and apparently
Julia, and definitely better
than me.
I remember reading
the reports. She was the only
one found of the seven missing.
Everything she had described was similar to the
accounts in Rutherford and Leighton Falls,
similar to what I experienced with David.
Maybe,
Somehow, this didn't affect her as much as it did us.
I was nervous as I stood there by the door.
I waited patiently.
It was noon on a Tuesday.
I would normally assume nobody was home because of work,
but two cars were in the driveway.
Suddenly, I saw a figure in the glass window of the door.
Uh, hello? Can I help you?
Yes, I was wondering if Michelle was
here, Michelle Collins. I'd really like to talk to her.
