Starting point is 00:00:00 Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. Roland? No. That son of a bitch lied to me. That sexist prick. You know how much he hates when you pester him for other reports. Pester? Give me a break. Who cares now? If you want... Hold on. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:00:22 It's September 4th, 843 a.m. Kent and I are driving along Highway 41, somewhere between more... Carson and Dinellen. I've just learned the full autopsy report is complete, and it was found that Patricia Sanders was two months pregnant during her rampage. You know this changes a lot, right? Not a lot. Sure it does. That's son of a bitch. I could kill him. Not now. We're busy, remember? Fine. But you could be damn sure I'll have a few words with him later.
Starting point is 00:00:56 We are about 20 minutes north of Dinellen. We've received a call that the... The vehicle transporting the bodies of Patricia Sanders and her family has had an accident. The car was found overturned by local law enforcement. Here. Well, you must be Detective Rowan and Detective Kent. We are. Sheriff Barnes, glad you can make it. Crazy this goddamn thing I've seen in a while.
Starting point is 00:01:37 We're standing in front. What's that? She's just talking to her recorder. Oh. Who found the vehicle? A woman driving southbound. Notice the taillights. We're standing in front of the overturned car.
Starting point is 00:01:53 It is half in a ditch, dense and scrapes all along the side doors. The Sanders family was being transported, to Port Charlotte where Patricia's sister, Emily, resides. Not sure what caused the accident? No idea. It was night time. May I hit a deer, although I didn't see any blood on the bumper. May it just startled the driver?
Starting point is 00:02:16 The driver's dead? Sleep for herself. He's dead all right. The rest of the bodies, or... There is no rest of the bodies. What are you talking about? We were told only one body was missing from the vehicle. All the bodies are gone.
Starting point is 00:02:38 We are walking to the back of the vehicle, where the back doors are wide open. It was found like this? That's correct. Hey, George! Yes, sir? This here is Officer Kress. He was first on the scene. That's right. When you arrived, the doors were open, the bodies were gone?
Starting point is 00:03:00 Yes. I didn't even know there were supposed to be bodies until just recently. The coffins were... He thought the coffins were empty ones until we called the funeral home and checked the records. So the bodies were taken. Unless they were thrown from the vehicle, during the accident. It's unlikely. Vehicle rolled a good 15 yards. None of the bodies would have been thrown far. Animals? We've got a few bears around these parts, but for them to drag off four bodies, it was highly unlikely. Well, dead bodies, they don't just get up and walk off.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Nope. The whole thing gives me chills. Somebody must have stopped and taken the bodies out. Who the hell would walk four dead people? Well, something definitely happened to them. What do you think about it, Roland? I think... I think I need a coffee.
