SOTOMAY- SOTOM OF A BITCH
Oh, come back to bed.
I, uh, I can't.
Wait, what are you doing?
Chrissy, I need to go.
It's 10 in the morning.
What the hell are you talking about?
What?
You're packing a bag?
I told you about this.
Oh, about what?
I told you that there may come a time when I would
need to leave in a hurry.
I thought that was a joke.
It wasn't.
Well, where are you going?
Anywhere, but here.
I don't, I don't understand.
Um, how long are you going for?
Um, will you be back?
I, I'm not sure.
Oh, is, is it something I did?
No.
It's not.
Then why?
I told you this day might come.
What are you running away from?
Not you.
I promise it's not you.
Then what?
Talk to me, Hal?
I can't.
The longer I stay, the worse it'll get.
Trust me.
I don't believe you.
I think you're scared.
Mm-hmm.
I think you want out.
I'm doing this.
For you. You may not believe me, but it's true.
That's such a bullshit.
Oh, shit.
What? The storm? Say, don't leave. It's kind of storm. It's supposed to be really bad tonight.
You have no idea.
Wait! Help!
Please help!
I'm sorry if it's something I did or something I said.
I'm sorry.
This isn't because of you.
I wish I could explain, but it's far too difficult.
Maybe I should have said something sooner, something more, but now it's too late.
You won't understand, but know that this is the only thing, the only thing that I can do right now.
Oh, you're an asshole. I care for you. I'll let you move in. I thought you loved me.
I do. That's why.
I'm leaving.
That's why I'm saving your life.
Luckily, she didn't follow me out.
The storm was moving in,
and I couldn't chance staying any longer.
My headaches were gone,
which meant danger loomed.
I took one final look at the apartment.
I half expected Chrissy to be peering out the window,
but she wasn't.
Good.
I don't think I could.
could handle seeing her crying. She must have been so confused, but I did warn her. If I didn't leave
now, things would get bad. And if I didn't hurt her, they would.
Lightning flashed, illuminating the sky, showing just how massively encroaching storm was.
Maybe someday I'll come back.
If she'll have me back, if I can beat this, but in the meantime, I had to run, because that was the only way to survive.
I don't know.
Thank you.
