Welcome to part of my take presented by Draft Kings.
The Crown is yours.
Today is Wednesday, October 14th.
And boys, we got some baseball.
We got some playoff baseball.
I don't know which one we want to start with.
Actually, let's start with the game we just watched.
The Guardians and the Rays are tied 1-1.
Monday night, the Guardians,
and in all time,
I expected nothing out of them,
and then they somehow woke up and delivered,
like, never have I been more sure watching a game, PFT,
where the raise jumped on them,
two nothing in the top of the first.
The Guardians just finished a five-game series,
like 36 hours ago, hung over,
whatever you want to call it.
And then the Guardians just were like,
you know what,
let's just let's just keep riding this this wave they got uh shut out through five innings
but then scored in the six seventh eighth and ninth and took game one raise take game two
we're going back to cleveland one one tilt to the series one one that's all the guardians wanted to
do take it back to the sea yeah um what's going on with tropicana field what's going on with um
empty seats in the alts yes i i don't even care about the empty seats i'm i'm sorry trop
actually you know what i'm not sorry because i think raised fans know exactly they completely agree with
this and when i say like there's seats i'm not saying i'm not saying like all the fans there suck
the fans that are diehard fans of the devil rays are the rays they were wearing devil race night
which were awesome yeah they were great great throwbacks awesome fans the fans there that care they
are incredible fans the problem is there's just not enough of you guys not enough and let's just
be honest. There's no aura or like mystique when you're watching an ALCS game in
Tropicana field. And every fucking time there's a fly ball, the announcer's like, nope, didn't
hit the rings. Oh, that might have hit the rings. Even in the ninth, there was the ball that the
right fielder just stood there and kind of let it like fly. You're like, oh, did it hit the rings?
Why? Like, what are we playing? Star Fox? What the fuck is this? Yeah, do they have a, do they have an
umpire in the postseason? That's, that's.
up in the catwalk, like closer to the ceiling to see.
There actually should be a guy up there wearing like a full-on MLB umpire uniform that's
as close to the roof as possible to see if the ball hits it.
Yeah, there's no war in that stadium whatsoever.
But, you know, who does have a war is fastball Freddie.
Yeah.
Freddie Peralta was really good tonight.
Jose Ramirez's error, which that was, it was an error, but it also was the
trop like having weird bounces because it's fake turf.
What are you looking at?
What are you sitting thinking, Max?
they did call it an error.
Yeah, that was for sure an error.
I know, I know.
I'm saying it was an error.
It was definitely an error,
but I'm saying the bounce that happened
because the Trump has weird fake turf
and baseball shouldn't be played on fake turf
was part of it.
He's got to go.
He had to make that.
A hundred times out of 100.
He had to go after it.
Yeah, he had to,
he had to charge it.
He did, he let it like come to him and it ate him up.
Yeah, you can't let that ball eat you up.
You can't let that ball eat you up.
I'm not, I'm not, I'm not giving them a trot pass.
Oh, I'm going against the Trump.
I'm going against the Trump.
They got to move out of Tampa.
They got to move out of Tampa.
Not how to tell you.
Get a real stadium.
No, they got to move.
They got to move.
I don't care.
If they had a slightly nicer stadium,
then people in Tampa would go to the games.
It's just hard to get to, it's impossible to get to the drop.
Yeah, exactly.
Tell you what, just, educate us.
physically get there highway wise.
It is like, ALCS.
Everyone says,
winning Cures All. You're the best
team in baseball. How do you
have that thing? Not true. Not true.
The Brewers are. But you know, okay, fine.
You're the best team in the AL. Fucking
semantics. It's a joke.
It's a fucking joke how many
empty seats there are on a night game.
You have no excuse not to get there. I don't care how hard it is
or what the fucking traffic is.
There's always traffic. There's always
traffic getting to fucking stadiums.
You're right. Get your ass to the stadium.
It's playoff.
Baseball.
You're trying to go to the World Series.
Move out of Tampa.
Zach, Zach, why is it so hard to get there?
Traffic.
You never try to cross that bridge, Max.
You never been over the bridge.
You get car locked.
You want to listen to the game on the radio in your car?
That's what you get, that's what you end up doing.
Is that you give a fuck about the race?
No, if we're coming for stadium.
You're the perfect example.
You live in Tampa.
You couldn't name three players on the team.
No one in Tampa cares about the race.
move out of Tampa.
35 to 40 minutes east, but still.
Did you see the renderings for the new ballpark, though?
Yes.
The 360 glass?
Pretty sick.
Come on.
They should put her a fucked up ceiling in the new stadium too.
And it's crazy because the rays are really, really good.
And their front office is awesome.
I will say that like this first two games,
this is a win for Cleveland to get one of these.
And to have Gavin Williams ready to go.
Like, that's a huge win for,
for Cleveland and they again
I was like Monday night was
it was shocking to me I had like
I think Guardians fans probably were like
well probably scheduled loss like
we're going against their ace they're rested
we're coming off five game series
and I thought the race did some weird shit with their bullpen
I think they had a guy pitch who was like
who hadn't pitched since like April or something
it was very bizarre they never they were
they were in a tied game in the late
innings their closer never got in
like the high leverage situations I don't know
So win for the Guardians to be one-one going back to Cleveland.
If it were me and I won game one on the road like that,
I would for sure blow it in game two.
I would not care.
It would be such a big letdown spot for me personally.
But they still even had a moment.
They had a moment.
Chase Lauder hit that double.
Chase the lottery is awesome.
Love watching him play.
Regardless of the fact that he went to Jamie.
He's an awesome player.
He always seems to be the guy that, like,
if there's no spark, if the guardians are having an off night,
he's the guy that kind of stirs the drink
that gets him going and then people kind of feed off
that. But yeah, they're going back to
Cleveland and they
are, I don't think Marlins man is going to be
an attendance right. He doesn't go to the
Cleveland games. No, yeah, because not because
the Guardians fans are mean
to him, but it has nothing to do
I think it's Guardians fans are mean to him. It has nothing
to do with the fact that the seats behind
home plate are raised so you can't see anyone.
Right. I don't think he knows if he's on camera
or not. Right. Right. So that's not a thing
never crossed his mind is mostly about
fact that like one guy said something mean to they were mean to them yes in 2016 yeah and then
the other series the brewers i mean listen i'm not rooting for them but they are so good at baseball
and it's crazy i i i know people thought i was trying to jinx it like two weeks ago when i was like
just get used to it the brurs are going to win the world series but that game yamamoto is the guy he
is the guy that you throw who like is just a fucking stud when it comes to play off baseball i think
the only other team that that has ever, like, touched him up like that or chase him like that was
the Phillies last year in that five-game series. He pitched four innings in that game. Yamamoto is
the guy. You're like, hey, it's okay. We're fine. The Brewers approach at the plate, that, that Jake
Bauer at bat was just insane, where he just grinded him and grinded him and grinded him down.
It was like, I don't even know how long that bat was. It felt like it went for like five minutes.
It was, and then they chase them, get the entire Dodgers bullpen.
They just get big hit after big hit.
They're so good at like situational hitting, situational running,
hitting it to opposite field.
They're just such a good baseball team.
I don't know what else to say.
And I also will say this.
It felt, it feels like the Dodgers are going through like usual business of like,
all right, we're going to in the playoffs.
We're just going to win the World Series again.
The Brewers have had this exact match.
matchup circled for an entire year.
After getting embarrassed last year in the NLCS,
it was like, this is what it's all being built for.
It's to beat the Dodgers.
It's to take it to them.
And you can see the difference in the first two games,
like with how the brewers are ready for this.
And then Hank woke up a sleeping giant and Christian Yellish,
because all the guy does now is hit RBI's.
Guys are the RBI machine.
Yeah, I mean, this is, I have a lot of faith in the brewers.
The brewers are no fluke.
the brewers have been building a really good team.
They've won the most games in baseball in the last five years.
Yes, they've been building for the last five years.
I think it's,
I think it's something.
It's a crazy stat.
Like in terms of regular season baseball,
they've just ripped off the last five.
I knew that they were definitely the best team in baseball this year
and going back to the second half of last year.
But five years is crazy,
but the brewers.
It might not be five,
but it's a lot.
They are,
they are just very,
very good at every single small detail involved in.
Like,
You can watch from the prep that they put into every bat.
They are like laser focused because you're right.
They got embarrassed by the Dodgers last year.
And most wins the last three years.
Last three years of baseball, they have the most wins.
So it's not, yeah, it's not a fluke.
They've been good every year.
And if you go five, four years, they're just like five games behind the Dodgers.
So they've just been good.
And, yeah, going up against Yamamoto on the road for Yamamoto should be a special.
What do you last two innings, two and two thirds?
Yeah.
Yeah, Brewer's a great story.
And now they have to go back.
And because it's game three, now they got Blake, do they have Blake Snell?
I think it's Blake Snell, yeah.
So they have Blake Snell as a reward.
But I feel like Brewer's kind of got them where they want them.
Psychologically, two in a row starting the series off.
They're just going.
And the Dodgers are panicking now.
They're pulling every lever that they can because they know something's wrong.
So this is great.
I know maybe if you're a Cubs fan, you don't love the Brewers.
playing this good and look at this dangerous.
I think everybody else loves the brewers doing this.
Yeah, I mean, I've come to peace with it.
It is what it is.
They've been so good all year.
I mean, they're just, they're just exactly what you want out of a
playoff baseball team where money moments.
They're just, they always get the big hit.
They always get the big strikeout.
Like their bullpen is fucking nails.
It's just, yeah, it's, and they're analytically like perfect.
They just do things correct, the correct way.
I can't stand Pat Murphy, but he's obviously an incredible manager.
Like, it just is what it is.
And I don't know.
I think the Dodgers will obviously, like, I don't think it's going to be a sweep.
But to lose the scuba and Yamamoto starts is crazy.
I think it still might go seven.
But it's a great start for the Brewers.
Glassnow, I don't think, has ever lost a postseason start with the Dodgers.
I think he's perfect, if I recall correctly.
his ERA is like sub two.
And he's been a very, very good post.
He's a pitcher for the Dodgers.
So I fully expect the Dodgers to win game three,
regardless of if they have show hate playing or not.
It sounds like he is going to play.
Yeah, he's been so, so bad.
He hasn't had a home run since August 18th.
And he's definitely injured, but still,
he's been really, really bad.
And now they're talking about maybe taking him out of the lineup.
But I think I read earlier today,
they're going to keep him in.
I think you have to play him.
you got to play if you have fucking show hey otani you have to put him out there in the playoffs yeah
i'd agree yeah i mean but he has been that bad like if he wasn't named show hey otani he would
it'd be no question the way he's hitting and the way he like looks lost at the plate he does and
i think he had a um he got off to a slow start the playoffs last year if i remember correctly he obviously
more than corrected for that when he uh he ended up the championship series with the best baseball
game ever played. But it's been, it's been like months that he's been bad. So,
so it's a panic move. I looked at possibly hit him. Yeah. Tyler Glass now, the Dodgers, he has
never recorded a win for the Dodgers in the playoffs. The Dodgers have never lost the game where
he's pitched. Yep. That's pretty insane. Yeah. So if you look, I mean, he was, he was a mix of
starting and relieving last year and they won all of those games. And then this year, he started, um,
the game against the Braves,
but only went four and two thirds,
but they won that game.
So yeah,
he's,
I mean,
that's the thing with the Dodgers.
They just have,
they're just like,
oh,
okay,
well,
we lost the first two games.
We have other Sy Young guys
who are going to pitch now.
So,
yep.
It does feel like a possible crash course of,
of Brewers race.
Yeah,
I'm not,
I'm not counting out the guardians.
I was wrong about the guardians.
After the first two games against White Sox,
I was very wrong,
hand up.
They have a little bit of,
that mojo of like they get the big hits and Jose Ramirez I know tonight was a bad game for him
but like they have big guy moments and like yeah I'm not counting them out especially with if
Gavin Williams can pitch two more times in this series like that's pretty big I've talked a lot
of shit about Cleveland and deservedly so big cap but I feel like I and so I get a lot of heat daily
from from their fans and I've seen you catch some ricochets in the past few days with those
with yours yeah just being like fuck you Cleveland like Cleveland's gonna
can kill you and then also like big cat you too oh yeah i mean the only thing i said was i wasn't
scared of their lineup through the first two games against the white socks and i wasn't and then
they woke up like jose ramirez had a bad second half and then he decided to be the clutches guy in
the world and hit big big hit after big hit i was wrong about that i did not think that he would
all of a sudden just become josea ramirez again which he did so yeah i'm not i'm not i'm not
ruling out the guardians to win this series against the race i think they're very very live in this
especially after splitting the first two.
And they, you know, chipping a chair,
just getting to the end of the World Series.
Anything can happen, right?
Maybe, maybe the brewers.
The brewers, like what you said is true.
Like, right.
Like they, they, this is their championship.
It's like the Spurs.
Right, right.
They've been building up for this moment.
They might be ripe as someone in the AL to pick them off.
Okay, so we recorded a bunch of the show earlier today back in studio.
Two things that happened since then.
We're going to talk about Monday football.
Mivas got cut.
Yep.
Yep.
Too bad.
Mivas got cut and then they brought him, Blake Groupie.
It was basically they switched,
uh,
uh,
what's Timo,
Tumon for Pumba.
Who's the fat one?
Pumba,
Pumba.
Pumba is the fat one.
So they switch Pumba for Tumone.
Blake Rupy is like a buck 25.
They're the exact opposite guy.
Yeah.
Blake Rupy is what,
like when you close your eyes and you think of a kicker,
you can picture.
a guy like Blake Rupy.
He's made out of entirely elbows.
And then, yeah, I'm going to miss seeing mevis out there.
I want to see, bring him back.
Somebody, for the good of the league, somebody should sign Mivas.
I also, what's going wrong?
What's wrong, Max?
He's laughing.
He's laughing.
Made out of elbows is very funny.
He is very funny.
Look at him.
Look at Blake Rupis.
Because I was looking at a picture of him as you were saying it.
And he does.
He looks like he's made out of elbows.
Yeah, he is.
And then mevis is made out of elbow macaroni.
The the the kickers you know how we have like
Altcast for everything now like last night I got caught in an NFL network
Altcast I didn't even know existed for Monday Night Football did you guys see that
there was just NFL Network had one Manning cast
How about an alt cast when a kicker misses a kick where they just have to sit in like
I don't even it won't be the blue tent whatever any color tent
The kicker just sits in there with a GoPro and you just get to watch them and like
they have to read the comments that would be
awesome. Imagine if the kid,
if you get Meevis misses a kick
and he just sits down and it's just the chat
is just like fucking roasting him.
And he has to just read every single one.
He has to interact with the highest.
watched an alt cast after a big miss
kick. What the fuck
is, uh, is Pusquale and Staten Island
saying about me? Why are they keep
saying that the chats in Spanish?
Yeah, that'd be,
that'd be really, that'd be really, that'd be really,
a really mean thing to do. By the way, I,
I don't know if you guys caught this,
but towards the end of the commander's,
or commander's giants game,
when the Giants kicker missed that kick,
I feel like Scataboo,
I remember Scataboo getting up in his face and like screaming at him.
I don't know if he was doing the Scataboo thing
where he's like trying to motivate him,
but it looked like he wanted to fuck him up.
Like, good.
Like violence.
And then to have Scadaboo go back and then he fumbled on that drive,
probably felt like an asshole after that.
But yeah, I mean,
I wouldn't mind seeing kickers have to read the comments.
I do. I also think we should have that camera that that follows guys around until, like, I want to close up on their face as they find out that there was a flag on the play that they thought they just scored a touchdown on.
That'd work too.
Like that.
The, and then the other one was Montez Sweat got pop for PEDs, which I made the joke on Twitter, but it's got to be the easiest appeal ever because there's been no performance enhanced.
Like, you just have to show his stat sheet and be like, what are you talking about?
I don't, I don't get how.
I don't know.
I don't get how you could get pop for them when he hasn't been playing well.
Imagine how bad it would have been without the drugs.
I guess I guess credit to him for like trying everything.
Like shout out him for being a team guy being like I got to get.
I got to get the best I can get.
But that's the problem for the bears.
It's like if you if you get pop for PEDs, at least you're trying.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
You care.
Yeah.
So yeah, into the day, maybe not the worst thing.
Also like if you if you take steroids,
How long does it take for the steroids to completely wear off, like to to lose all the good side effects from him?
I don't know.
I'm assuming he's been using him for a while, working out, probably got really strong.
Is he going to get weak in the next two weeks?
But isn't two, two games is light, right?
Like if it was just straight up steroids, I thought it was more than that.
I'm not exactly sure.
Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of different could have been Viagra.
Yeah, yeah.
Either way, uh, I feel like they should.
should appeal. Absolutely. Just like, be like, here's the all 22.
Also, there's no. There's no. Montez Sweat underrated, very cool, intimidating name.
Oh, yeah. And I need, I mean, the bears need him. So I hope he comes back and he's like,
proves that, hey, it wasn't the PEDs. I'm, I still can be good. But, uh, yeah. And then there's
weird like contract stuff too with it where I think his guaranteed money goes away. And now,
I don't know. We'll see. Uh, was there anything else that happened that we missed?
I don't think so.
Just looking through the news right now.
Because we did record earlier.
Hank, have you done your callouts?
You did.
Okay.
So who you called out?
Shocking.
Just tell us real quick.
I call that Donnie PFT commentary, Jersey, Jerry, Mike Cornell.
And that's all for straight up, no handicap.
No handicap, straight up.
Okay.
Screwed up.
Why don't you call out me and Max, me and Max,
and a scramble.
I don't know because we, I like to have fun
with you guys. Okay, well.
All right, so you're scared of us scrambling.
Yeah.
All right, fine.
Pussy.
Max, we just want the great duo right there.
It's a win for us.
All right.
One L for Han.
One win for us.
Yeah.
You like to have fun with me, Jersey, Jerry,
Grinnellian.
Does it sound like it?
No, I come, I show up to those matches
strictly to win.
It's business?
Yeah.
What's very funny is that, like, I was just sitting there.
I was buying my own business, just sitting down, and then I got called out.
And that's never happened to me before.
And it's like, it's not a good feeling to get called out.
Do you know what you should do, BFT?
I, well, I sent to my lawyer to respond.
Well, I was to say, you should call him out, righty.
I don't want to do that.
Okay.
I'm not a call out guy.
I would kill you, righty.
Oh, I don't.
I don't, this, this like, oh, no.
I brought out the Ritey clubs the other day and it was so much better.
Hank's right.
We got one more, we got one more month of Lefty Lockwood.
Hank's right.
We've played on camera a bunch of times when he's been right handed.
I, you've always beat me right handed on camera, haven't you?
No, that's true.
I want to, the real, I want to beat Max.
I mean, I'm going to beat PFT, Jerry, and Donnie,
just so that I can say when I switch back.
back righty that when they chirred me i can be like why beat you lefty and righty oh okay but you
haven't beat me either right you already i know but i'll be you lefty and then we'll have plenty of time
to be ready i mean we're doing the same day if you want wow 36 36 holes no nine and nine nine
nine whole call out it's a nine whole card it's a little it's a little baby boy call yeah i mean listen
it's not it's a lot to ask i'm you're going to beat me 18 holes a righty and lefty are you
going to have your own cart and you're going to have two sets of clubs in your cart?
Yeah.
Or I could just do 14 clubs total, but that would be harder.
Or I can just switch after nine.
I don't know.
I didn't know how to take it, getting called out by a guy that has literally never
beaten me.
It's like, all right, come get your spanking.
I didn't know if this was like a sex ritual thing where you have a kink of like getting
humiliated.
You got a kink?
Fast forward two months.
It's going to be Hank to.
Everyone like talks about the, like PFT has been.
horrible. Like, we've been playing
and the grudge match got all
the, all the blame and bad
put on me, but like, we use more of my
shots. I don't know if that's true.
Oh, yes, way more.
We used a lot of grudence and a lot of my drives.
We did use a lot of grudence, but just
fast forward like a month from now.
It's, uh, it's Friday. All right, Hank,
what's your fire fest?
Um, so there's like some videos
now that are, we, the clips,
the clip culture, some stuff out of context.
And I lost a PFT again.
How many times are we going to do this?
I'm excited.
This is making me very excited.
That was a great question, Big Cat.
That was a great question.
Yeah.
Great question.
I was not expecting this, this feud to pop up out of nowhere.
I got called out.
It's not suit.
It's just facts.
You ever been called out, Max?
It's hard not to take it personally.
Yeah.
That's a serious business.
Well, no, we almost got called out,
but Hank's too much from a pussy to call us out.
Yeah.
Consider yourself's lucky.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
I wish it on my worst enemy.
Couldn't call it out like that.
All right.
Let's kick it back to ourselves in studio.

Okay, boys, Monday Night Football, it was really awesome to have a game be hyped up and
then deliver on the hype.
And that's what I felt like.
The first half was slow.
But the second half, I think it was six, the final six possessions of the game.
where touchdown drives, Josh Allen versus Matthew Stafford, duel Josh Allen with his feet,
Matthew Stafford thrown to Pooka Nakua.
And we're going to talk about both teams, but as has happened in the past, Sean McVeigh's
inability to have a good special teams where he just says, hey, you know what, let's build
an awesome offense.
Defense wasn't awesome last night.
And we'll just forget about special teams and we'll just be so good in the other
phases won't matter.
Hit him again because Mivas, I know it got blocked.
That kick was not going in.
And Sean McVeigh, I don't understand why he turtled at the end of the game being like,
hey, we're in field goal range.
Let's just run the ball into the middle.
Let's be conservative after he shredded the bills the entire second half and hope that
Mivas can make a kick.
Mavis, uh, well, it was third and five, right?
It was third and five and McVeigh said, I'll run the ball up the middle.
But third and five, they, they, they, they,
got the first down and then they kind of
pump the brakes on the office. They ran the ball up the middle and
took the ball out of Stafford's hand. Yeah. Which is not what you want to do in overtime. I mean,
listen, this is a game it delivered when we thought the bills and the Rams we thought
there's going to be like two really, really good teams. It did feel like a football game. So
like the criticism of McVeigh, I think it's, it's legit, but it's also, it's two really
good teams. So it was going to come down to small, small mistakes and decision
making. But the small mistakes, all the same.
always are the special teams for the Rams, and they always, they have the worst special teams
again through five weeks. They could have had another Super Bowl ring last year if it
weren't for their special teams. Remember the muffed kick against the Seahawks, the NFC
championship game? Like, they just don't have good special teams. And it's every single year. It's
crazy. The, uh, the kickoff return, especially was bad last night. Yeah. I do think this is more like
how much more leeway do the Rams have before they dig themselves in a hole that
they can't get out of it. They're fine. If you're going to look for a bet right now,
take the Rams over 10 and a half wins. They are fine. So they sit at two and three. Have you seen
their schedule? I was looking at the schedule earlier today. It softens up nicely for them.
They're going to be, I'll say they'll be seven and three, six and four at worst, seven and three
most likely going into the Packers game on Thanksgiving. Okay. So looking ahead, they got the Cardinals,
they got the Raiders, they got the Chargers, they got the Chargers, they got the, they got the
commanders they got the cardinals again so those five games they're going to go four and one in
those games they probably they probably will go four and one if they don't then it's a real problem
um i think it's probably already to the point where they've they've fucked up home field advantage for
themselves they still get to play seahawks twice yep so you win those games and and anything can
happen but yeah i would i would not be worried about the rams other than the special teams like
i don't think this team is still good the offense still good the defense still good the defense needs
Miles Garrett, the special teams is just atrocious.
And every single year, they do this.
And every single year it costs them in a high leverage game.
And it's just, it's the same thing over and over.
I'm going to watch this Mivas kick again here and see if we can tell anything.
I don't know if you can tell if it's going in or not.
But the problem is like, you can't block it.
It got, yeah, you can't block on it.
It's not all Mivas.
Credit to the bill's line on that play for running something that worked and
fucking up kind of like the interior right side of it.
But, yeah, it's not.
saying the Rams special team is bad is not just like, oh, they have bad kickers.
That's not it.
They have bad coverage.
They have bad blocking.
Like every single year, it happened.
Yeah, the blocking was bad.
The blocking was really, really bad on that, but also, yeah, there's other points in that game that you could question some decision making, too.
The bills, Josh Allen with his feet, Troy Aikman kept saying like, yeah, this guy's actually a triple threat because he can beat you with his arm, his legs, or his brain.
Yeah.
Usually, you very rarely get the triple threat.
What about the heart?
Is there a quadruple threat quarterback?
It might be.
The balls, a quintuple threat quarterback.
But yeah, Alan had an amazing night running the football last night,
unstoppable running a football.
It's the bills are the exact same team they've been every single year in that their
defense is a weakness.
Although their defensive line played like decently well.
They got after staffers, especially in the first half.
Josh Allen has to be Superman for them to win football games.
Yeah.
Against really good opponents.
They're bad opponents.
can win. Good opponents,
playoff teams. Josh Allen
asked me, he had to be, he had to put on the
cape that last quarter
and, you know, just start
running every single time he was given a lane.
What I'm seeing from Joe Brady this year is
they are, they are a lot of the same
bills that we saw in the past. They're just
more of the same bills. Just like they're
doing the same stuff, but they're doing it harder.
Yeah, I mean, DJ Moore is very
significant. When he's not playing,
it does feel like they don't have
enough guys who can get open on their own.
like last year, yeah, with no DJ Moore, when he is playing, he is a difference maker because
he's a truly elite talent when he's on the field. When he's off, the, the team looked very
similar except Josh Allen somehow looks like he's getting better year over year. James Cook
keeps fumbling, I feel like. That's, that just keeps, keeps happening. Hank, you had this
as a scheduled loss for the bills. No, not necessarily. No, because remember we had the conversation
about you, the destiny.
AFC East goes through
the Patriots, but part of that was
you beating the Raiders and the bills losing to the Rams.
Yes, but even still,
the Patriots control their own destiny.
Right.
So.
But did anything you saw last night change your opinion?
No, the bills are good.
Their bills are really good.
Like you said, they're the same bills.
They are.
Josh Allen needs to be Superman.
And then what happens is in the playoffs,
like there's no room for error in one little error
by someone, maybe not even Josh Allen.
like that's how you win or lose game.
So I don't, as good as they look,
it's like they've looked this good for the last seven years.
Mm-hmm.
And so it's like they're a respectable opponent.
It's actually, it demolishes the haters,
the Patriots haters line of reasoning that the bills haven't beaten any good teams.
Yeah.
Completely destroys that because Rams, I think, are a good team.
Yes.
They're two and three, but yes, they're a good team.
So, all right, so here was the stat, by the way.
to back up everything I was saying about the special teams.
The Rams is the only team in NFL history to amass 400 total yards,
gain 30 plus first downs, score 5 plus touchdowns,
convert 50% of their third downs,
and have zero turnovers and lose the game.
The Rams special team came into week five,
ranked 32nd in DVOA.
They've been 26 or worse in four of the last five seasons.
And if you go by win probability lost,
they lost minus 110% win probability over the course of the 2025
in 2025 in 2026, which is just five games.
They've already lost minus 104% win probability in special teams.
Special teams are third of the game.
It's, but Big May he just ignores it.
Yeah, I guess he didn't because he did fire the guy last year,
but like they just aren't, that's just a philosophy.
Like the Rams is a philosophy.
They just like, we'll make a super team.
and we'll figure out special teams later.
It's like, and it rears its ugly edge.
So it's actually not a third of the game.
Obviously, like nowhere near a third of the game by Snapcount.
But when you look at how disproportionately it affects whether or not the Rams win or lose.
It's actually half the game.
Yeah.
It's not a third of the game, but it is, I always just go back to like when you get in these big games,
playoffs or regular season game against a comparable opponent, it's magnified.
Because they're so equal in talent.
what's the difference going to be?
A lot of times it will be a special teams play.
Yeah, our guy Paganadi,
he keeps saying that they should get Taco Fall
to play a defensive line on field goal attempts
and just have him stand as close to the line of scrimmage as possible.
Just jump?
And just jump straight up in the air.
Just jump?
Yeah, so yeah, that was a great Monday football game.
Also, Aaron Donald back?
Yes.
I think we can now say officially back.
I'd agree.
After his play last night?
I'd agree.
I'm trying to think if there's a lot.
anything else that we...
Yeah, and Pukiduku is just unstoppable.
Pukuku's, yeah.
I mean, I feel like he got targeted 30 times.
That was a catch, by the way.
Which one?
On the sideline.
Yeah.
Wait.
He had so many.
The one that got overturned where his foot, he like dragged his foot in.
It hit the ground, but then like when the pellets started flying up, he was out of bounds.
Honestly, he caught so many balls.
I'm actually thinking of like three different times.
This happened.
They said it was a process of a step.
The process of a step.
Okay.
That's why he was out of bounds.
Got it.
Yeah, I mean, he was so good.
But it's also, I don't understand.
The NFL, like, the, there was, it brought up the conversation of a few years ago when, I think it was T. Higgins, like, caught the ball and his heel hit the ground first inbound.
And then his foot came down out of bounds.
And they said, that wasn't a catch either.
But if you do a toe drag, which is what Pooka did.
Wait, is it this one?
Because this one I thought was definitely out of bounds.
No.
Okay, yeah.
It was that one.
No, it was, it's this one.
I think that, I think he is out of balance.
I think it hits the, like, his foot.
Because what we're talking about now is like the front cleats on a shoe landed first in balance,
but then as the toe came down, that's, the toe came down out of bounds.
I think that is in bounds.
Right.
But then when, it's when the turf comes up or like the pellets come up,
it looks like it's out of bounds, but it's in balance.
Yeah.
So the explanation was that it was one full step.
So there's like a slide?
What's a toe drag?
I think that's like, what's the toe drag then?
That's not a full step.
Well, it's a toe tap.
So the toe tap is the process.
His cleats tapped, not the toe.
The cleats tapped and then the toe came down out of the nose.
So there's a cleat not part of your toe?
I don't know.
This is where it's like, that to me looks,
if you were to ask a drunk guy in a bar,
and I've been a drunk guy in a bar plenty of times,
that's not a catch.
Yeah, when I was watching on TV last night,
I was like, that's not a catch.
You had an awesome game.
last night. That in particular, and he's so good that there is always Pukina Kua leads the league
in spectacular almost catches in addition to spectacular catches. He just makes so many of them that
yeah, there's going to be some that that just barely don't break his way. That's very close to being a
great catch. I would say it's not a catch. He also, Pukina Kua leads the league. Like I don't,
I don't understand the concussion spotter thing and how it works. I feel like he should have been
spotted like six times last night. He was just getting smoked. Yeah, I think he was kind of got,
he's, I feel like he's getting into like gronk territory where he just kind of like,
it feels like he's permanently concussed. So they never really, it's hard to gauge. Right.
When he is concussed because he kind of just has that like there was multiple, always always
concussed vibe. Yeah, there's multiple times where he took a hit over the middle. I was like,
ooh, that was bad. It's like, how do you do the concussion protocol on Ben Mintz? Yeah, exactly.
Like, it's tough to really prove anything. Yeah.
Okay, any other stories for or things we need to clean up from this weekend, week five, chaotic week five.
I also think that the Rams will be fine, just to be clear, but they're getting close to the level of being in a hole that is going to end up costing them at the end of the year somehow.
Yeah, I thought that for a second then I looked at their schedule.
So I just, it's kind of like my buy stock and Texans.
Like there's, I think the schedule has just been, and like to go the other way, uh,
I think the chiefs have like a tough schedule coming up.
So there's going to be, there was some disproportionate scheduling to start the season.
I've just seen it enough where you have losses that that add up like the loss of the Broncos in a game that they should have won.
The loss of the bills in a game that they could have won.
Those happen early in the season.
They tend to manifest themselves later on in a way that you can't see coming, whether that's race for higher seating or even getting into the playoffs.
Those things tend to come back around.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, what else?
Anything else from week five?
Any any cleanup on the Dan Quinn press conferences?
I feel like more details came out on Monday.
What was it more details?
So many details.
There's no details.
It's just basically more people having opinions on it.
And sometimes you listen back to the things that you say on the show and you're like,
I wish I could have said that.
I think I nailed my response to what happened.
Fucking nailed it.
A plus.
I graded myself out A plus.
Because it is 100% 100%.
Actually, no, B plus because I'll walk back one thing.
I'll say it's 100% on Jaden Daniels and that it's, I'm going to reduce blame on Dan Quinn
and say it is 100% Jaden Daniels, 75% on David Blow, 25% on Dan Quinn.
I think Dan Quinn is doing a, what, Hank?
You know the team better.
Isn't like Blow is the play caller?
Dan Quinn is like he's the one that's supposed to have the clock management like that's his main job.
Yeah, but where I think and it's impossible to tell because.
But it's not, it's a play caller's fault.
It's impossible to tell what happened because everybody's going to lie about it and you're going to have every guy saying like that's on me.
And so we're never going to know exactly what happened.
Which is what in a situation like this.
Well, Jaden kind of did say it was on the coaching.
That's what I said after the game, which is when he was like when he tried to take responsibility, he said top down, like kind of a scummy move.
if that ends up not being, like, if the coaching staff had nothing to do with it,
pretty scummy move for him to say that.
In a situation where the fans are, like, we have to know what happened.
We have to know.
They should release all the communications.
Yes.
They should, like, release the audio from what happened.
I want to know exactly what went down at the end.
I suspect that it's David Blow because everybody's lying about it.
It sounds like they're trying to do two things.
one protect Jaden to protect David Blow
first year signal caller
and they have a lot of faith in him as like a future
offensive mind they don't want to throw him under the bus for this
the play call that they put in at the end made no sense
the substitution made no sense
I know Chris Paul said that they knew that there was a timeout left
the way that every player on the field reacted
after Jaden went down getting back to the line scrimmage
no sense of urgency so I guess not everybody knew
that there were no timeouts left
I think it was a bad play call, bad situational awareness by the offensive coordinator,
and Dan Quinn is going to take a lot of the blame for it because it does fall under, like,
his decision-making.
But I think if you're going to put blame on coaching staff, it's probably the offensive coordinator
who's doing most of the talking to the quarterback there.
And almost every former quarterback that I've heard break this down, of course they're never
going to blame it on the quarterback because they're quarterbacks, the Danerlovskies of the world.
but everybody that's talking about is saying like yeah good coordinators will tell you awareness which i think
is is disrespectful to jaden acting like he doesn't have any responsibility in this like he can't think
for himself at the end of the game it's definitely on him 100 percent but it's also if you're going to
put blame on coaching staff i think it's probably on the OC and dan quinn is falling on the sword
that's what i think he said dan quinn goes he's furious about her execution um it took entirely too long
no one's madder than Dan Quinn about their execution, except the state of Tennessee this week.
But it's bad.
It's bad.
And the good news is if you look at what's coming up this week, we got the 49ers on Monday night football.
Nice.
That means there's no better opportunity to get people to stop talking about what happened than if you go into Santa Clara and you beat the 49ers on Monday night football.
So true.
So true.
There is that window where that would, that would.
You have the opportunity to take what should be a fireable offense for Dan Quinn
and fix it almost immediately so that Dan Quinn can then go on to have his next
fireable offense.
Well,
flip side,
maybe this is a good thing because like fireball offense,
people are calling for his job,
but they go out and get like 40 piece by the 49ers.
Yeah.
He's fired on Monday.
Probably.
Also,
it might be a good thing because Jane Daniels will pay more attention to situational awareness now.
Like,
that was a good learning lesson.
Yeah.
Is it like high school,
like in the pros?
like they just, they come into practice Monday and they just like do end of game plays for like
the whole practice, like no ball.
We're just going to run through end of game situations.
You have a, you have a ball though in end of game.
No, I know, but like you don't know what I'm talking about.
Like we're, we're, we're shockly going through.
Yeah.
I think Jada needs to program some last second spikes into his virtual reality simulator.
Mm-hmm.
I think that would help.
He probably doesn't practice those in VR in the Metaverse.
Mm-hmm.
But I have to assume that they practice that anyways.
But if they go out, they get killed.
by the Niners, yeah, Dan Quinn, very likely
would be fired at that point and then Anthony Lynn takes over.
But yeah, there's a lot of other stuff that I watched back in that game
where it's inexcusable that the game even went to overtime
with a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter.
What if you guys get Harbaugh?
Which one?
John, or Jim.
Oh, I thought of special teams. Maybe the son.
No.
Why would we get Harbaugh?
He's going to get fired.
Dan Quinn's going to.
going to get fired. Why would we get
Harbaugh? Why not? Yeah, why not?
You got to get someone. We do have to get somebody. That's a good point. I think that
there's a chance that Josh Harris just completely focused on
coddling LeBron right now and isn't even paying attention to the losses.
No, he's got magic in his in his ear.
Yeah. That's another thing I want to talk about later.
What? I got a, hmm, we can save that. We can save that for
baseball talk. Okay. Okay. But yeah, so where I'm at is
100% on Jaden, 75% on.
on David Blow, 25% on Dan Quinn,
but Dan Quinn's going to end up taking 200%
of the accountability for it.
And Jayden's going to take zero.
Probably, yeah.
Probably, because, I mean, we still believe him
as a franchise quarterback, and I do.
I don't think this hasn't affected, like,
it makes me question his, like,
where his head was at in the last second,
but in terms of, is he the future quarterback?
Yes, 100%.
Mm-hmm. Okay.
Any other, any other,
what's, is Nick Siriani,
whatever he's just fine he's going to be yeah he'll be fine you figure it out you'll figure it out
this is kind of what happens everyone gets super mad on yeah mondays of an emotional day uh in in the

Henry, Hotsie Kultura
My hot seat's the Bay Area
Oh
Why?
Rich Bay
You see the cow
The cows uniforms
Yeah those are cool
The helmets
The Graveldead those are sick
Because
This might be a little
You know, taking it
Two steps too far in a conspiracy theory
But obviously everyone talks about the substation with the 49ers and that
You know
The
Yeah the Brandon Ayuk's situation
Like they put that on the substation
He stopped showing
up to practice. No one knew where he was or what was going on. They would ask him and the coaches
and players were like, we don't know. Maybe the biggest sign that he was insane was that he wanted
to join the commanders. Yeah. But now Chris Sops Porzingis is doing the same thing. He's on the
Warriors in the Bay Area and he's not, he's just not showing up to practice like in the team
and players like just don't know where he is. It's not, he obviously has had health issues
last like a couple years and like somewhat of a mystery, like even on the Celtics. Big mystery.
Yeah.
But now he's just, now he's just disappeared.
I'm starting to think if that substation just, you know,
it's bigger than the 49ers.
It's just something in the bay.
I like you tying it all together.
Christopps is the guy that if there's anybody that's missing time with a mystery injury,
it's him.
And I've seen,
he's probably the guy that people vague post the most about.
Like,
people are always saying, like, everyone knows where it is,
but no one wants to say it.
But now he's just not even, he's nowhere to be found.
It's not even like, it's, and when the coaches and players talk about it,
like, yeah, we don't know
when he'll be back
because we don't know where he is
and like we're not, you know,
he's not answering messages.
Oh, we have an update.
We'll be,
Christops Porzingeris,
will be at the Warriors facility
on Tuesday to meet with
team's medical staff.
It remains unclear when Porzinger
will be able to return.
So he's a doctor's point.
Not really an update.
Breaking news, he's scheduled,
he logged on to Zok doc,
and he's seeing a doctor.
It's,
it's very bizarre.
I don't know what's going on.
I hope he's okay,
but it's just,
it's very bizarre.
And like,
didn't Steve Kirst,
say something about it last year, but it was like, kind of like, hey, HIPAA.
Like, so then Christops maybe, I don't know.
It's weird.
Yes, Steve, Steve, Cursley, you hadn't seen him yet?
It's really strange.
So the Bay Area, do you think maybe it's, uh, Zodiac Killer?
Maybe.
Did you guys see that article on Substack on Zodiac?
Yeah, some guy was like, I'm pretty sure my dad's Zodiac killer.
But there's been like three, here's why.
Three guys that have done that.
I know, but it was pretty competitive.
That's like it's a new trend where if you want to blow up on TikTok, you just accuse one of your family members of being a serial killer.
I was going through my grandfather's shed.
Yeah.
And I found that's like that's better than leaving them money is when you die, just leave them evidence that you're a serial killer and let them reap all the benefits on social media.
I think this guy's dad was still alive.
He's, it was, I haven't seen all the other ones.
I just saw this one.
I read it and I was like, yep, throw away the key.
He's guilty.
I think they found the guy, right?
Who?
I think the cops.
Zodiac killer?
I think so.
I think that they're like a couple years ago, they figured out who it was.
Oh, really?
I thought the same thing.
It was another, no, it was another kid that, like, accused his dad.
That was another guy that was doing it for, for internet points.
We might be talking about the same person because I think this one was in a documentary.
Oh.
Oh, got it.
But that's also how the fucking BTK guy, remember?
He was just a regular guy.
And then his family was like, well, no, he fucked up sending in.
Didn't he ask someone like,
hey floppy disk can't be traced the metadata can't be traced and they were like yeah
or the cops are like yeah no problem send it in he sent it in they're like dumbass idiot
dumb ass i don't know where the the btk hold on i'll see that's the biggest come on man of all
time dumas does that picture look like anybody you know i'm not going to say yeah i can see it
handsome guy very handsome yeah this was uh my dad a lot of good golf courses in the bay area
My dad may be the Zodiac killer.
And then he went on to explain it.
It was a good article.
The Zodiac, he was left-handed, right?
Hmm.
Was he?
Hmm.
Interesting.
Speaking of that, kind of, not really.
But, uh...
Oh, he might have been ambidextrous, is what I'm saying.
Oh.
Now we're talking.
Interesting.
Interesting.
Great ones always are.
My cool throne is, I guess just the haters.
Congrats to the haters.
Live is dead.
This is it.
What?
This is it.
We gotta have a few.
What?
The final time.
No.
That I will ever bring up or live 2.0 is dead.
So live 3.0 loading.
I think it's, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, listen, I think sometimes in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, and, to disrupt the industry and make a, make a, make a, make a, make a, make a, make a, make a, and maybe you're just wrong.
Maybe you were wrong and you just never should have went down that path in the first place.
Or maybe it's the haters that.
that ruined. It would have worked if it weren't for the naysayers.
Yeah, maybe, yeah. Maybe they had fun doing it, but like it was like the, the haters and
the people, you know, dismissing you just, it ended up being correct. May we do an impromptu
press conference? Would you be taking questions right now? Sure. Okay. Uh, yeah, Big Cat.
Hey, Henry, uh, Dan Katz, pardon my take here. Quick question. So you said live is dead in your
statement that you just read to us.
Pre-written statement.
Really good job.
You said, live is dead.
Do you have any regrets knowing that you
capped and soapboxed and
rode so hard for Liv and you got
$0 from it when they were giving out
millions and millions of dollars to people?
My passion for golf is not tied
financially.
It's just something that I love and I love
the game of golf and I love watching golf.
So no, I do not feel any regret.
about that. I did not, I did not become a fan because I was thinking about making money off it.
What if I told you Liv was going to offer you five million dollars three years ago and you didn't
do it? Would you regret that?
Yes. Okay. That did not happen. Yeah, but what if they did?
Then it would be a regret, but it did not happen. Okay. You have a question. Yes. A pft from
part of my take. No, you don't get to say that. You know, only memes. Only memes. Um,
is this a bit premature? No. So the news. Don't the players have until August.
or October 25th?
The news came out that the DP World Tour
will not, which previously they were allowed to.
Players in Live were allowed to play DP World Tour events.
D.P. World Tour came out and said that
if you want to play on the Deep World Tour,
you can't play on Live.
And all of the good players in Live
want to play on the DP World Tour
because that's their path to back the PGA Tour.
So essentially no one,
maybe some of the older guys that are like,
we're not competing at a high level anymore, maybe they stick around.
Anyone that's good and young is not going to make a deal where they cannot play DP World Tour event.
Cameron Tringale.
He's sticking around.
He's sticking around.
Don't dismiss him.
So where are the old guys going to play?
Richard Bland.
Where's he going to go?
Where are the old guys going to play?
I don't know.
They're going to go out and just play on a course and be like, this is lived now?
The senior live tour.
That's pretty much what it's going to be if it even happens.
The Champions Tour of
But that's not worth talking about
So
None of this was worth talking about
Do you have any questions about?
I disagree with that
I don't care
I don't care
My question is
Can we get to the next topic?
I think that
The only winner
That's it
That's my cool thing
There are a couple winners
When it comes to the live golf range
I think ultimately
The PGA Tour
It ended up winning
The pissing contest
But Brooks Keppka
Played it just about perfectly
Oh yeah
Yeah
Oh yeah
Big time
Hank last question
if the live people
were to contact you now
and say hey we'd like to do something
to keep this going in some capacity
would you take their phone call
I mean I would I would direct them to sales
you know how this company works where you're
the for profit business if a company wants to offer money
to promote I'm down to change my tune on live
yeah like I don't have
I'll say this.
I'm open to big.
If they wanted to do it for nothing, no.
If Liv wants to give us their IP,
we'll just change it into,
like we'll just make the Live accounts,
all just part of my take golf.
And we'll invite some of these old guys
to come play golf with us, make a video.
Like, what's his name?
What was the old guy's name?
Tringali?
Tringali, you ever fucking sprint on a 400-yard par four, buddy?
Blan.
Victor Perez.
All the big names in golf.
Is this the worst thing Saudi Arabia is,
ever been accused of funding.
That was a made-up name.
I think it probably is.
Victor Perez.
Victor Perez sounds good.
Who is that?
Who's Victor Perez?
I don't know what team he was.
You know Victor Perez.
I thought I read his name the other.
He finished second in, uh...
I think you're thinking of a...
Yeah, he plays on the lived golf tour.
What?
Yeah.
Yeah, look at that.
Wow.
Wow.
I thought you're talking about Pat.
I don't know.
Wow.
I think he's...
Pat Perez.
Dude, he's been playing on Cleeks golf club since November 2025.
I thought you're talking about Pat Perez.
Maybe if you knew Victor Perez.
Maybe if you knew Victor Perez was,
Liv would have survived.
Yeah.
But he's in the D.
PFT, that might be our live guy.
This is a DP World Tour event,
so he's going to keep playing on that.
Well, yeah, that's why he...
I thought you were talking about Pat Perez,
former Ace, my bad.
No, I'm talking about Cleeks.
ZEP.
You don't know Cleaks, bro.
No, you're right.
I was never much of a cleaker.
More of a cheeks guy.
Yeah.
All right, PFT.
My hot seat is Shohei Otani.
By the way, Liv is not dead on this podcast.
Yes, it is for me.
Yeah, it's...
They have a lead investor.
Shohay Otani is on the hot seat because the Dodgers are openly talking about possibly
benching him because he's been so bad for the last, what, two months now?
Yeah, he hasn't hit a home run to August 18th.
And his, the, we probably have already talked about this.
We probably have already talked about this.
Okay.
Yeah.
Just because we're going to do baseball.
So we're definitely going to talk about show A being benched.
Okay.
We can cut that then.
Sorry, I feel like that's just going to bring it.
Yeah, I'm definitely going to bring it.
I was definitely going to bring it up.
Well, no, no, because when I said I had something else I wanted to get into about baseball.
I guess I can still do that with this.
I can still do that with this.
Do you need a hot seat?
No, no.
So I said I had some more baseball stuff to get into today.
I'm going to put the windy fingers up and say what is going on truly with Shohei.
Because you look at when this cold streak stuff.
started and it was what August 18th.
I believe the Los Angeles Lakers were sold on August 17th.
And I believe news of the investigation kind of hit a peak shortly thereafter.
And if you look too deep into it, you see that Walter, the former owner of the Lakers, current owner still of the Dodgers, also has some shady business arrangements going on that allowed him to purchase the Dodgers in the first.
place, namely selling a company to Magic Johnson for $350 million to make Magic Johnson a billionaire,
welcoming him in as the owner of, or to be able to buy the Dodgers.
It was kind of a move to get the former Dodgers ownership and everything pulled in via Magic
Johnson and possibly that transaction for $350 million to get him to become owner of the Los Angeles
Dodgers.
Okay.
Then there's a lot of questions.
about what's going on with the different contracts
that the Dodgers are allowed to offer players
is that money does it actually exist?
I just think it's interesting timing
that as this investigation against the owner
hits a fever pitch, that's exactly when Shohei Otani
stops hitting. Yeah, he's also been hurt.
But he's also stopped hitting.
That's also like the best baseball player in the world
not being able to hit anymore.
Not this year.
And not this year.
But when he does hit, he's slapping 70 mile an hour singles to left field.
I just think that's interesting.
That's all.
Yeah, he's got, he's been bad.
Do you guys think?
Interesting.
Anyone else think that's interesting?
I definitely think that's interesting.
Something, something's weird with him.
Something's up.
Something's up with the whole.
I'm starting to think this Mark Walter guy might not be on the up and up.
Yeah.
I'm not going to lie, you lost me about halfway through that, but I agree.
That's a good way to just move it on.
That was good.
Yeah.
Good job, Max.
When people started talking about the owner of the Dodgers
That's when Otani started fucking up
Yeah
When he went under a microscope
Otani started sucking
Yeah
Maybe Otani was told he's not going to get paid
And he needs to get paid
Because
I pay
Got it
Yeah
And then there's a whole IPA situation
Throw into it too
You had me until you said
Ipe
Yeah
Okay forget about that
Show Hey Otani
Worried about money
Owner Dodgers
maybe not have all money to pay Shohei.
Mm-hmm.
Now, Sho-hay suck.
So he's sucking on purpose?
No.
He's thinking something's on his mind, maybe.
Got it.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
He's distracting him.
Yep.
He hasn't been taking the cave parlay.
You know what, Max?
Look into it for me.
I'll do it.
Yeah.
If I.
If I wrote the cave parlay,
we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
My cool throne is books.
Oh.
We talked about books the other week
because Alex Earl had never read one.
Yep.
the book that I mentioned,
maybe my favorite book of my childhood
is becoming a movie.
It's becoming a movie now.
Hatchett by Gary Polson, right?
They're making that into a movie.
Can't wait.
I have not been this fired up for a movie in a long time.
Can't wait and can't wait to be able to say
book was better.
The book is better.
This is going to be like when I read it in fifth grade.
That was actually better.
Now they're probably going to make this movie,
I would guess, for children.
Right?
No.
Or is this going to be a,
what they should do,
they should market it to people that read that book when they were kids. Yeah. And now they grow up and
that's the only book they think about when they think about books they read. I think it'll be like a
standby me situation. Oh, Jerry O'Connell might be. Yeah. You know, like, yeah? Kind of for kids,
but like also for adults. Maybe get Jerry O'Connell as the pilot at the start. Yeah. I don't see why
not. I think he'd be good at that. I like this. He just farts on himself and has a heart attack.
Yeah, it's a big one. Now they just got to do the giver.
The giver, that one is dark
Yeah, but that was, maybe that, is that a movie?
They might have tried that.
The giver of Mice and Men, the Hatchet.
I think of Mice and Men is a movie, right?
Yeah, with Gary Seneas and what's his name?
Malkovich, I think, is in that one.
Okay, they did make the Giver.
Yeah, all right, so we're good.
We've made them all.
So bring it, yeah, I'm very excited about Hatchet the movie.
Yeah, me too.
They got to get the Hatchet right.
The Hatchet has to be cast perfectly.
What's the other one?
What's the what's the is it white fang no yeah white fang that was a good one that was um was that jack
london that was a movie too i think 1984 1984 1984 what did you tell about what do you talk about
Fahrenheit 451 i'm just naming books that i've become movies books you read in in high school
yeah and they may even younger i mean i've said this before but the hack is just read every michael lewis
book it always becomes a movie yeah money ball blindside big short they just
all become movies.
It's very easy to do.
And then you can just walk around and say the book was better and sound like you're,
you're smart.
And you're not because you're me.
Okay.
My hot seat is the Tennessee Titans.
We talked about the Tennessee Titans, but Titans fan, Samuel Brown, RBT, went a little
viral on Monday because he did a thread of the Titans since trading A.J. Brown.
And I want to read some of these things because I think we need to start putting more respect on Titans fans, pain and suffering because it's been really, really brutal.
Since trading A.J. Brown, the Titans have the worst record in the NFL at 19 and 54.
That's a lot of losses.
Not a lot of wins.
Eventually led to the firing of Mike Rable.
The record since firing Mike Rable is 6 and 33.
They have won two home games and one division game total in the last three season.
three seasons.
AJ Brown won a Super Bowl.
Mike Reble made a Super Bowl.
AJ Brown had more Super Bowl appearances with the Eagles
than Traylon Burks had receiving touchdowns with the Titans.
Traylon Burks,
who they got in that trade.
They have scored 17.2 points per game since the trade,
the worst in the NFL.
They let Derek Henry walk.
Then Derek Henry has 732 more rushing yards
and 22 more rushing touchdowns
than the entire Titans running back room
since leaving.
That's an insane one.
Insane stat.
They traded Malik Willis for a seventh rounder.
He then beat them 27 days later as a starting quarterback by 16 points.
Traded Kevin Byer to the Eagles for two draft picks.
None of those players are still on the Titans two seasons later.
They lost their radio guide to the University of Tennessee.
They lost their hype man.
I don't even know why that one.
They just lost them.
They've never replaced Lance Smith.
lowest attendance number since Nissan Stadium opened in 1999
and they dropped the Greek mythology bit from the Titans branding
so no one knows what the Titans even mean anymore.
Brutal.
You know what?
I feel bad for the Titans.
Of all that, they got to bring back Lance Smith.
I feel like he's the key.
Yeah.
The Game Day host.
It sounds like Lance Smith was very, very important.
And Mike Keith.
And the Greek mythology bit from the logos.
Yeah, it's been really, really bad.
Just having it written out was like, oh, man.
We got to put them on more respect on Titans fans
The suffering they've gone through
They seem like they skate a little bit
When we're talking about the worst
Most petty owners in sports
Yeah
You know what it was for me
When when Vrable went up to New England
And they like honored him there during the by week
And then he went back to Tennessee
And Tennessee caught big feelings about that
The ownership was like
What the fuck? Are you a Patriots guy?
Are you a Titans guy?
Yeah
Like that told me that they're operating
from a pretty bad position of insecurity in most things that they do.
I'd agree.
I'd agree.
It's just for whatever reason,
I think it's because they're one of the newer franchises and the color scheme.
I don't know.
It's just the Titans are really,
they're going through it right now.
So I feel bad for Titans fans.
You are seen.
Shout out Samuel Brown at RBT for that thread to write it all out.
I'd imagine he was like sobbing,
lightly sobbing while writing that out.
And rightfully so.
my cool throne is the Philadelphia Eagles
because Big Dom did a public appearance
on Monday night and said he's going to fix it
Yeah
Get things right on back on track
He didn't say he was going to fix it
Was he with Siriani?
No
They say we
Big Dom on stage promising Eagles will be fixed
Okay so Eagles would be fixed
You're right
Eagles will be fixed
I actually believe
But that's a Big Dom guarantee
100% believe them
Must win this weekend
Who are you playing?
Panthers.
Parish is good.
Bryce show is good.
Eagles defense has made a lot of good quarterback
so pretty pedestrian in the past couple weeks.
Not Case Keenom.
Not Case Keenum is excellent quarterback.
If we had Tyson Bayesian, who knows what happens.
This whole season could be different.
That Vikings concussion of Tyson Bayesian was really
totally different game.
The whole season could be different.
Totally different.
I'm glad Big Dom is.
taking some accountability, though.
That's the kind of guy he is.
And the fucking concussion guy.
The fucking concussion guy.
Who's that?
We already talked about the concussion guys.
Yeah.
Right.
Oh, he's talking back.
He's talking back about the...
You said, I don't get the concussion guys.
Neither do I.
Yeah, I said that.
Or somebody said it.
Yeah, it was set on the show.
Someone said it.
Big Dom is going to save the Eagles.
Yeah, the Eagles are going to win this weekend.
They're going to get fixed.
Must win.
They're going to win.
You can still win the division even if you lose.
Yeah, because I'm going to play.
the Cowboys.
Yeah.
Yeah, you guys are still in it, Max.
Shut up.
It is bullshit that, like, I was looking at the standings today.
It's like, the Bucks are still alive.
Like, they're one and four.
You shouldn't be one and four and be like, we could still win our division.
You play where you play.
The NFC North, every team is over 500.
If there was a, if the Bears were one and four and the Vikings are five and oh, you can't,
you can't catch that.
the bucks are like yeah we're one and four we're like a game away yeah from from being back in this
it's not right dead Zach it's not right Zach it's not dead Hank what you think about season
big dom's promise like babe ruth in the hospital to the kid big dom we're gonna get this
fixed and be careful with what you say yeah that's if you're an eagles fan you probably are down in
the dumps but then you hear that and it's like all right we're all the way back um why is our
of security speaking at the demo like making a public appearance i don't know but i like what he's saying
he's a union back yeah big dem he's a union guy lib dom so you do you i think the eagles are going to be
back i might bet the eagles had a respect for big dom this week same i'm going to do that what's those
what's the spro whose line is it anyway it's eagles minus one and a half we're not even we're not we don't
even have to play the game fine it's eagles minus one and a half there we go eagles and guys are
apparently guys are supposed to be getting healthy.
Seiquant should be back.
DeVante Smith should be back.
That's big gum.
That's huge.
That's huge.
Yeah.
All right.
I think for him to say something like that, he knows something that we don't know.
Shit's getting turning around.
So I'm going to trust him.
What are the odds right now for the Eagles to win that division?
I think they're the favorite, right?
Plus money.
Yeah, we looked at it.
There were like plus 170, cowboys.
We're like plus 180 giants who were in first.
I want to say we're like plus 310
and then you guys were like plus 700.
I'll say this.
Yeah.
I fucking nailed that.
Yeah.
In the years when the NFC East is like a joke of a division,
that tends to be where you see the commander's graphic flash up
on the list of division winners over the years.
It's when everybody is below 500.
NFC least.
Yeah.
NFC least.
Max, you're not out of it yet.
Nope.
That's really nice of you, PFT.
He's a big up like that.
My guy's right in there.
Yeah.
Still do this.
I know you're going through a tough time.
There's a lot of questions about end-of-game clock management with your sad little team.
But you're right in there, Max.
You're in there.
Stay in the fight.
Yeah, hang in there.
Okay.
Zach.
Amahazi this week's going to be FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
You guys see what's going on with him?
No.
Is it something good?
Not anything good, no.
They're saying, so you know, a country did recently host a World Cup.
That was us.
They're saying that the organization that put together that World Cup who was in
trusted to do so, may have Slijani roughly a $1.7 million envelope, and FIFA's just denying it.
No.
They're saying that it didn't happen.
They're saying his $6 million salary is just enough, and that $1.7 didn't come through,
and it definitely wasn't from the host country.
No.
No.
Why would they have had a FIFA lie about that?
A bribe?
Soccer?
You kidding me?
Come on.
EGis just playing in the face.
1.7.
I saw somebody made a post.
I think it was during the World Cup when it was right after.
Baligan got brought back in the overturned the suspension.
And it was some British guy just being like, I miss Sep Blatter, a proper brown envelopesman.
It's true.
Like, Sep Blatter, he did corruption, but he did it classily.
Something to be said for that.
We long for the days of, yeah.
Like, he would meet you probably in the finest hotels, the, like, lobby bar of the four seasons.
He'd have a corner table set aside just for you and him.
And then you would put the envelope discreetly on the ground.
He would have the guy that he was with pick it up.
so he didn't touch it.
That's how business should be done with FIFA.
I don't like the accusations of like behind the scenes.
Maybe crypto bribes, all that.
That to me seems beneath the sport of soccer.
Let's bring back Cep.
No tree companies in soccer.
They just do it right in front of you.
Yeah.
Then they deny it.
Also, quick update, I guess, since we're talking soccer,
taught him 19th on the table, gentlemen.
Okay.
What?
19th?
19th, I believe, yeah.
Whoa.
You guys look for updates there sometimes.
Up the spurs?
Yes, spurs down.
Who do you root for again?
I'm a Chelsea guy
We're sixth
Okay
You guys have any nefarious things?
Oh yeah
Everybody gets nefarious
But yeah
You gotta get nefarious
A little bit
Are you jealous that like
That's a year away
That you got nefarious
But you didn't even try to get
Nearly as nefarious as Man City did
No because that kind of nefariousness
Leads you to relegation
That whole
That whole scandal after you read more and more about it
It gets funnier and funnier
They just made up companies
To sponsor the team
It's always kind of impressive
because it just kept going.
Yeah.
Like some of their main sponsors just didn't exist.
Yeah.
So you just,
whatever you put into a spreadsheet and print off enough times can become true for long enough?
Yeah.
And then now there's speculation that they won't get demoted.
They won't get relegated because, uh,
the country of England relies too much on energy,
oil and gas from the country that owns man city.
So it's like they don't want to upset the ruling parties.
So they can't give them too much.
much of a punishment when it comes to like points punishments it's like starts playing with the
resources of the country yeah like it will put the squeeze on these quick if you right like it'll
affect it'll affect all of england if you relegate man city yeah you can't they're too big to fail
they're too big to fail yeah it's it's maybe the funniest funniest scandal but also like maybe
the maybe the biggest scandal in the history of sports uh zach you got a cool throne i do my
cool thrown this week's going to be penny hard way oh pay harway
stepped in.
You guys know a new era of sports.
A lot of guys getting paid
before they make it to the league.
Memphis said,
Penny, if you want more money,
you're going to have to pay up,
and he decided, okay, fine,
I'll push $2.6 million of my own money
into the $9 million total pot
to the teams of guys,
keep some guys.
She said, look, I had a great career.
I want to coach this team.
I'll say this.
I'm shocked more guys.
Don't do this.
Because you're basically investing in yourself.
If Penny are,
if you have money,
if you're an ex-player and you're,
You're a coach.
If you have, let's say, $100 million,
putting $2 to $3 million in your roster,
if your team does well,
you could probably make millions more on your contract, right?
Like, it's actually a genius move.
He didn't want back-to-back bad ears.
So he's like, hey, I'll just bet it myself.
I like it.
I like it.
More guys should do it.
That's yourself.
Also, I feel like a great way to win over the locker room.
Like, hey, I really believe in you guys.
Right.
I'm pushing all in.
This also seems like maybe a move that is, like you're in a desperate spot if you're doing this.
I don't know.
In the interviews, he sounds pretty confident about it.
Like, hey, I didn't want to lose again.
Let's just push.
I hope it works out for him.
I could see it.
I can see it going the other way.
It doesn't work out.
And then he's just out of a couple million dollars.
Yeah.
Oh, you get fired an you're out three-ims?
Yeah.
That would not be good.
High risk, high reward though.
Yeah, true.
I like it.
I like the move.
More guys should do it.
Okay.

okay we now welcome on a very very special guest it is brandon walker from the brandon walker
college football show that's right uh featuring Liam Blutman starring Liam Blutman we're
going to talk a little ball Brandon is here he's nervous he thinks that we have some type of
uh something's going to come like a uh something's going to pull something's going to pull
hop out of your seat like in jackass.
A big Italian surprise is what he's worried about.
He's never not had a surprise.
Yeah, there's going to be an airbag that pops you,
just shoots you through the ceiling.
There's going to be a big hand that comes out right behind you.
No, there's no surprise.
You just want to talk ball with Brandon.
Where would you like to start, Brandon?
Should we just at least admit that you were dead wrong about Oregon?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, we can start there.
I will take that I was dead wrong about Oregon.
It's two years in a row.
My national championship pick has bombed.
I will say raise your hand if you thought Oregon was going to not be good this year because they looked on paper like they were going to be incredible.
I'll also say this.
In your defense, the Oklahoma State game was very clearly Oklahoma State had to tell.
Yeah.
They knew exactly what was coming.
That's a bad coaching job by Oregon.
And then Dylan Ray Hull is just not a good quarterback.
I think if Dante Moore plays that game, they probably win that game with the way the UCLA was playing on offense.
But those excuses don't matter.
Oregon's season, I mean, they could conceivably win the rest of their games and still go.
Conceivably, but they got to go to Ohio State.
Just no, it's not happening.
And Dylan Riola is the kind of bad.
It's one thing to not be good.
It's another thing to be outright bad.
Outright bad hurts your team.
And against UCLA, he was outright bad.
And it's shocking because when he came against USC, he looked confident, he looked capable,
and he looked like that he was going to settle things down.
He did the opposite.
Yeah.
And so then they have Nebraska.
Alaska next, right?
Yeah.
For Oregon?
But he's in a QB competition.
Yeah.
So this feels like if there was going to be any game that he'd be looking forward to.
It'd be this one.
It'd be this one.
But on that same note, I feel like because he's probably had this game circle for so long,
it would be the kind of game that he would absolutely shit the bed in.
Well, no, he might not play.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
I don't know how you would trust him if the coach.
And if there's one game that would actually go against starting him in a competition,
it would be this one.
It would be this one.
I don't know how you trust him because he was so bad against UCLA.
And now if you're going to practice and he looks.
good. You got away the fact that, oh, he's playing his old team. He's going to freak out again.
Yeah. I don't see any. I don't. And plus, the plan was to have him for the future. The plan was
to sit him this year. He does the Dante Moore thing where he doesn't play. He learns the system
and he comes in next year and he's your starter. I don't, I think that's probably out the window.
Yeah. So as much shit as we'll give you for Oregon, bad pick. Your second pick, you got Georgia
in the second round. Now, I forget if that was just like you got Oregon and Georgia back to back,
or if it went back and forth?
I believe I was the first overall pick and picked Oregon,
and then I got Georgia on the comeback.
You got Georgia on the comeback?
Bad ball knowledge by Tom.
Good pick on your part.
Love to Georgia.
I think they're fantastic.
The defense,
they haven't even really taken this defense out for a stroll yet.
They had the one game the other night in the rain against Alabama,
but this defense is going to choke everybody out, man.
Chris Cole's incredible in the middle,
the back end's incredible.
They had some injuries,
and they still pretty much shut down Keel and Russell.
And did you think that anybody gets in trouble
over leaking the locker room scream fest that Kirby Smart has,
or do you think Kirby Smart loves it?
Leaking it, huh?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what we're doing.
That's what I'm wondering.
Yeah, no, that's the pregame speech
starring Kirby Smart every time they leak it.
Yeah, and Gunner Stockton is just good.
He's good.
He did, like, I know that he's not the flashiest name,
and there's, you know, when they do the, oh, my God,
look how loaded this draft class is, which is starting to look a little iffy.
Yeah.
Gunter Stockton is just really good.
He's got like a dog.
mentality. He can hit open
guy. He throws like he was throwing a couple
seeds down the scene.
They have a couple fast guys. That
tight end is, might be special.
Like, I've liked Georgia
since the beginning of the season. I think that they
going into Alabama, that's the best win
of the season. Not to, not
to, you know, give anybody credit here,
but the star of the Brandon Walker, Cossball show
Liam Blutman last year in the season
said whoever wins
2025 doesn't matter. Georgia's win in
2026 national title. And then to start
the season, he said, out of 135 teams, 132 of them, they would beat by double digits. And I think
he's right. I think that's how good they are. Yeah. Is he an employee of the Brandon Walker
Football Show or is he an employee of UCLA University? He's an employee of Brandon Walker LLC.
Okay. Because he's been spent a lot of time with the Bruins. Yeah. And it's starting to,
it's starting to get on my nerves a little bit. I think he might be going out this weekend.
I think UCLA told him he can do his postgame thing on Brandon Walker show from the Rose Bowl Field.
They'll set him up. They'll put him a little studio.
out there. I like that you just refer to yourself in third person there.
Brandon Walker.
Yeah, but Liam Blubman could do his little thing on the Brandon Walker show.
That's not, uh, that's not technically third person. That's me. I'm referring to an
entity there. Yeah, but you should just have my show. But how would you know? Yeah,
sure you have so many. How would you know? Yeah, you need to say, you need to do something to separate
yourself from the Brandon Walker football show. Correct. Like establish your own idea. You know what
it should happen is, is Blutman should be forced to bring on Mikey Volcano.
In what sense, in what way?
Like, as a guest, as a guest for the show, if he's going to be spent that much time with UCLA,
okay.
Let's get Mikey Volcano on the show.
All right, fair enough.
Why's Max shaking his head?
What?
Mike Volcano's got to come on this show.
Yeah, he's got to come on this show.
Yeah, I would agree with that.
Hey, big guy.
Shut the fuck up.
Oh.
I thought we were calling him big guy.
Yeah, yeah.
It's kind of weird when you get it.
Because I'm bigger than him.
Memes.
And also memes is just a dickhead.
Means just a mean guy to people.
Yeah.
Yeah, we need to get him on this show first.
Why is memes allowed to be so mean?
He's really, really scary and we're all worried that someday he'll just come up and shoot this whole place up.
I'm not even that mean.
Yeah, but I'm worried.
Yeah, but you have an edge to you where we're like, hey, he could just kill us all one day.
You don't worry about that about like Zach or something?
No, Zach's definitely not.
I don't know.
I feel like Zach's got a, there's an evil streak in there that you all haven't seen yet.
These guys are very judgmental.
No.
How are we judgmental?
You've been calling him little guy and him big guy.
That's the only reason I said it, Max.
Well, yeah, Brandon would never be mean to a producer.
I'm not offended.
Just saying.
All right, I cannot quickly.
Yes.
And I don't want to make too much of a big deal of it because we've got to play a game.
Yeah.
Everyone's just penciling UCLA into the playoffs.
Yeah, no, no, no.
They got a pretty big game this weekend.
They got a pretty big game.
I feel like a lot of people are overlooking that one.
Also, the thing about the Oregon game, yeah.
UCLA didn't play well either.
No, it was no worst top 25 big.
game that I've watched maybe ever. And they're on their backup quarterback now, probably for the
rest of the season. So, like, they're not, they're not home free by any stretch of the imagination.
I was looking at it last night. Like, the, the, if you consider Ohio State and Indiana into the
playoff, basically, who's the third team? Is it Iowa, Iowa looks pretty good for that spot. Wisconsin's in
a mix for that spot. Northwestern's in the mix for that spot. Nebraska's in the mix for that spot.
There's a, there's a lot of teams are sitting there. It's going to be a bloodbath coming down the
back half of the season in the Big Ten. I do think that minus Nico is actually.
actually maybe a plus. Because Nico hasn't been good
this year. They've been a good team.
They've been running the ball. And they haven't been winning on the strength of
Nico at all. Right. It's like
replacement quarterback may be equal to
Nico. But then you're really, you're already on your backup
quarterback. You play a physical style where you run the
quarterback a lot. It's just a dangerous spot.
Yeah. I have a feeling that Chesney is not going to take the
long-term Signetti approach. If there's one
young college football coach that I could see trying to
become an NFL guy, it might be Chesney.
By the way, he's not young.
Have you seen...
I interviewed him yesterday.
Have you guys interviewed him?
Yes.
Handsome devil.
Just a handsome devil.
And I saw the screenshot of me and him side by side yesterday.
And I was looking at me and I was looking at him and back to me and back to him.
That's jarring.
He's two years older than I am.
Is he really?
Yeah.
And it was troubling.
Because he looks so good.
He's 35?
He's 49.
By the way, UCLA's been an incredible story.
Everyone talks about these coaches going to different schools and bringing their team.
He didn't bring that much of JMU.
I think the new thing is if you're a head coach, if you're looking for a new job,
just look at the schedule.
Agreed.
It's crazy the runway you can get if you get a good schedule in one of these big conferences.
And again, I think usually is very good.
I'm not saying that it's all schedule.
But what happened with Indiana the first year?
They got a nice runway of like, hey, this thing is going to work.
What happened with the UCLA's here?
They've got a nice runway if this thing's going to work.
You show up and your schedule's bad.
I mean, Ryan Silverfield, that guy got high.
I had to double check.
Yeah.
Because I was like, didn't he just get hired?
He's already being ran out of Arkansas.
I know.
I know.
And if you look at A&M.
Alco in his second year, Elko walked in there with the easiest schedule in the SEC,
got to the playoff and now the whole thing's falling apart.
How bad is it for Elko if he's openly referencing message boards
during his press conference?
It is ridiculously bad.
It's such an unforced air.
Plus, to be fair, that's a, that's a powerful message board.
It is a, so, so not only is he going after.
Explain it for people who are not tuned in.
So, so after Saturday's, after Saturday's game when they lost 276 at Missouri,
they asked him, you know, what's going on?
And he said, I'll listen to the rest of the fan base.
I want the fan base to get behind us, but I'm not talking about Billy Sestpool over there.
Billy Sestpool is Billy Lucci, who runs Tex-Ags,
the number one fan side in America.
Like, he has built something over there.
there. Techsags is huge. They have a gigantic base of, of givers, of donors, of everything that's in there. TechSax. He basically took a torch to his entire fan base and said, either get behind us or fuck you. And you can't do that when you're struggling and you can't find a quarterback and you're getting whipped.
Who's typing right now? I could text sex.
Texas.
Aggies. No, Aggies. TechS A&M. Oh, TechSag. Ags.
Yeah. TechSacks.
Yeah, it's crazy.
And then, yeah, I mean, so I actually think that's the thing is like when you're trying to find a new job.
Yeah.
Look at that schedule for the first two years.
Well, you can then get the momentum and then get the.
And again, it's not saying that Cignetti's won a national title because the schedule is easy the first year.
But I think the I think the world we're in with college football is it's as much transfer port on NIL as it is just lopsided schedule year to year.
I really think schedule is one thing, us when we're.
predicting the season. We don't look at it enough. Now, I tried it this year with Penn State,
but then Penn State just has kind of fallen on their face. But yeah, schedule is so important.
And these huge gigantic conferences, it creates these avenues for teams to kind of slide into
these bad schedules. And you might not know at the beginning of the year, because if you look
last year, A&M schedule didn't look that easy, but South Carolina fell apart, LSU fell apart
and all these things. And now, if you look at teams in the Big Ten, like with Oregon falling apart,
that is easing up some schedule concerns for a lot of teams. Yeah, in Penn State, yeah,
Like it's been bad, so yeah, it's definitely, it has a big, big factor.
But being said, if you had UCLA on the schedule to begin the year, you had that as a win, you got to worry.
Also, their MVP this year is Wayne Knight, who's one of the best running backs in the, yeah, he's incredible.
All of NCAA, who is a JMU guy.
But he's at, I forget how many yards per carry, but it feels like every time I'm watching him in a game,
he's averaging like 10 yards per carry.
He had that one game where it was 10 for 100, and I went back and looked and he's been close to that every single.
Now, at Oregon, he had to run a little bit more to get the yards.
I think he ended up with 103.
But he's been fantastic.
And this is a guy, not just a JMU guy, but a four-year JMU guy.
Yeah.
Like, he was there for a while.
He didn't pop off of JMU until his last year.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Can we talk about, and I'm sure you're going to love talking about this.
I love it, yes.
Lane Kiffin with an all-time blunder against Kentucky.
I don't know what happened to Lane guys.
You guys have talked to him a thousand times.
It's crazy.
So just to set the stage for people who didn't watch the game,
Kentucky at LSU at Kentucky
LSU is minus eight and a half
LSU, it's they're up
three, the Kentucky kickers
missed two kicks.
LSU has the ball, I think it was like the
four, their own 45,
43, 43, fourth and one with a minute
and a half left, Kentucky has no timeouts.
Lane Kiff and punts. If it gets it,
the game is over. If he punts, Kentucky
has a puncher's chance to come down the field, get a
field goal. That's exactly what they do.
They force overtime.
LSU scores first. Kentucky scores,
goes for two wins the game.
Lane Kiff,
I don't know why Lane Kiffin is being careful this year.
I have no idea what happened to him.
He is a guy that has flown by the seat of his pants
his entire career at Ole Miss,
at least that I've been seeing,
he's going to go for it.
If it's fourth and two,
if it's fourth and three,
if it's anything reasonable,
like passes on 30,
he's going for it and he's getting it.
And he had his foot on their neck.
Yes.
He took his foot off.
The whole point of having Lane Kiffin
as your head coaches,
you win the games that way.
Yes, when the hell has Lane Kiffin
going to take his foot off the throat guy?
The only thing I can think of,
He doesn't trust the offensive line and he doesn't trust the quarterback.
But he's always trusted himself.
I don't know why the fuck he did that.
Is there a difference between him coaching as like an underdog with no expectation
and our limited expectations, I'll say, and him coaching at LSU being like the expectation
is national championship.
So it's like maybe he lacks that confidence to say, fuck it.
I'm going to go for it.
Well, at Ole Miss, I mean, he was basically, it was kind of coaching with house money
because he built all that, right?
He built every single bit of it.
At LSU, he has been given $40 million off the real.
and he has been entrusted with the teams.
It's supposed to win a national title.
But he doesn't have a national title quarterback,
and he knows that.
And I think it is affecting the way he coaches.
Yeah, it was shocking, though,
because I was just like,
this is why you have lately.
Well, not only that, man.
And he should have probably gone for two.
Yeah.
You start overtime, knowing Will Stein's going to do it.
Will Stein's been incredible.
Will Stein, like, that's been one of the best stories.
He's an awesome coach.
Kentucky's kind of rolling right now.
That's another schedule one where it's like you looked at it,
like Texas A&M.
That was.
Sure.
That was a lot easier game than you thought.
But go for two, knowing Will Stein is going to go for two.
He did it last week.
And not only that, Dan, the two-point conversion itself, I mean, it was the most obvious
quarterback draw you've ever seen.
And Blake Baker, the defensive coordinator, LSU, he just lets them spread him out.
Like, they send out everybody and they spread all the way out.
Now you've got four guys in the box for five blockers.
That's not going to work.
And it was kind of a coaching disaster there at the end for LSU.
Yeah.
Can we talk about Texas?
We can talk about whoever you guys want.
Let's talk Texas for a second.
Disappointing game.
I always think Red River, the shootout, the rivalry, whatever you're calling it.
Yeah.
It's big time Steelers Ravens throughout the record books.
Yeah.
Because you'll see some upsets.
Now the downside is...
So Steelers Ravens is your go-to throw-out-the-record-books rivalry.
That's the classic throughout the record books.
I mean, there are other, I would say bigger rivalries in sports.
Yeah.
But that's the one where it's like no love loss.
I just think it's crazy.
You have to go to the NFL to find one.
You can just say Ohio State, Michigan.
you can say any, there's a lot of rivalries.
I think it's more bad blood.
Sure.
That's like more bad blood and it's real.
Ah, okay.
Like it infects every part of your life.
Okay.
But with the Red River shootout, it's always, this might be a win that Oklahoma looks back at in a year or two.
They're like, damn, I wish we'd lost that game.
Because if you win this game as a head coach, it tends to forgive a lot of the shit that you did.
Charlie Strong extended his career famously at Texas by winning some of these games that he shouldn't have won.
But with this game in particular, how much does this scare?
you for Texas's future.
It scares the shit out of me if I'm a Texas fan because all I know is if we show up
and there's a good defense on the other side, a very good defense, I don't have the
quarterback and I don't have the coach that's going to overcome it.
And I thought I did.
The only way Oklahoma was going to win this game, Oklahoma has a bad quarterback, a bad
offense.
They just can't do anything.
John Matera lost him the game at Michigan.
He got him blown out against Georgia.
And then he showed up and he didn't exactly lead him to victory here, but they needed
a special team's touchdown.
They needed a pick six.
and Arch gave him the pick six.
And then Arch gave him a...
The interception with 19 seconds left to lose the game
is as inexcusable a throw
as you'll ever have in college football.
And for whatever reason,
he's in his fourth year.
He's a fourth year junior.
Sark hasn't developed him
and he has no instincts.
And I don't know how a manning
doesn't have quarterback instincts.
Yeah.
Because he will drop back,
he'll get fooled by coverage all the time.
He'll throw it,
he'll just flail it out there to a DB.
Like, it's just there are moments when he's great
and then there are moments where like
this guy is not a quarterback.
And I'm, listen, I'm not rooting against him, but I'm out of, we can't do excuses anymore.
No.
It's three or three.
You have an offensive wizard coach.
You went and got Cam Coleman.
There's nothing.
You have five star receivers at every single spot.
You have the most talent in the country.
It has to look better.
I don't, I don't get it because it's not like he never shows anything.
Right.
He shows something sometimes.
And he'll show, the other day when he threw the pick six, the next drive, he was Joe Montana.
It was bang, bang, bang, bang, and where does it go?
I don't understand it.
But Sark doesn't help him.
Like, Sark just stands over there and he doesn't, I don't think he plays through his strengths
or plays against his weaknesses at all.
Yeah, what if his last name was I Amelava?
That'd be confusing.
He doesn't look like an I.
Miela.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But would you ding him for that?
I don't, I'm a Leava is such a cool name.
Now, if his, if his name, if his last name was O'Shaughnessy, that's cool too.
If his last name was Fitzpatrick, if he was Ryan Fitzpatrick, Sean.
Arch Fitzpatrick.
I think we'd look at this and be like, he's going to have a career just like his old man.
That's great.
We'd be pretty comfortable with him just being like a high three-star guy.
Yeah.
If it's, if it's, Fitzpatrick.
I think there's a chance he goes back.
I think there's a huge chance he goes back.
But here's the thing.
He might not get better.
There's no guarantee he gets better.
Yeah, he just keeps getting better.
Yeah.
He hasn't gotten better.
Everybody says he's going back.
He's going back.
That's fine.
He can go back.
But show me the proof he or Texas will get better because of it.
Yeah.
I mean, he's in pretty much the perfect situation for a quarterback, right?
I can't imagine a better one.
He's got an outstanding defense that could be good enough to carry them for, like, despite his play.
But he can't be thrown interceptions in the last 30 seconds of the game.
If he doesn't make a mistake, if he doesn't make a catastrophic, two catastrophic mistakes,
they win that game easily the other day.
Yep.
Okay.
What else were you going to hit?
Oh, the SEC is just, listen.
Mid.
I don't know if it's mad.
You're just pumping each other up because every single Florida wins one.
big game and now is the best team in the world.
This guy didn't fall for that.
Okay. This guy didn't fall for that. I said
pump the brakes on Florida as soon as they beat Ole Miss.
And Ole Miss's resume is not great.
Why is Tennessee ranked 14th? Tennessee should not be ranked.
Tennessee shouldn't be ranked at all.
Tennessee doesn't have a quarterback.
Yeah.
They can't figure out. They've tried to play both. They don't have a quarterback.
They went to Arkansas almost lost that game.
Like even Tennessee, a rational Tennessee fan if they exist would sit here and say,
yeah, we're not the number 14.
Why is LSU 22?
Yeah.
Listen, there's there's a lot of, I will.
say there's some inherent SEC bias in the rankings. I got no problem with that. Also,
who do you replace them with? Do you replace them with Purdue? Do you replace them with? I don't know
the answer to that. Purdue's been good. Purdue. They're off a three and three though. Like,
they're like one, they're one overtime lost to Wake Forest away from four and two. Like,
there's good teams across this country. Some don't, like should Nebraska be ranked right now? Maybe.
They haven't beaten anybody either. So we're half. We have, we have half a story. I do think the,
SEC conveyor belt of excellence this year has been a little bit wonky.
When LSU beat Clemson, we all crowned them, right?
We all said this, that, and then Ole Miss beat them.
So Ole Miss goes up to that spot.
Now they're number six in the country, number five in the country, whatever it is.
Florida beats them.
They go up there.
It's just, yeah, it's just been one week.
And now everybody's in love with Missouri because they've beaten Florida and A&M back
to back in other.
They're not that good.
Who's Missouri every next week?
Who's it?
Who's Missouri play this week?
Ole Miss.
So Ole Miss this week?
Yeah, they got Ole Miss this week.
the team that's going to win this week. I think Ole Miss is going to beat Missouri, yeah.
Pretty comfortably, too.
Okay. All right. What about, what about Bama? You had a funeral for Alabama last year.
Oh, man, this time, our tweet, week one. Your quote.
What's, I don't know what we're talking about? You said that, I think Kail and DeBore, what was the quote memes?
I said you should go back to Greenbelt Alabama.
Listen, I kill teams twice a year. Yeah, it was like, it was something like they sucked all the toughness out of this program.
I think it was, but it was like a funeral for the entire.
Yeah.
That was true.
They laid down against Florida State.
They laid down against Indiana, you know.
This year they do look a little bit tougher.
They look more physical.
They stood up a little bit to Georgia.
I thought Georgia,
I thought Georgia dominated that game a little bit more in a three-point victory.
But still, it was a three-point.
Yeah, the passenger interference was a mess.
That was a pastime.
Yeah, it was absolutely a passion.
Like the Alabama got, and I, killing a board, yelling at his player.
Like, I kind of liked it.
Of course.
No, I'm saying.
Yeah.
That's fine.
Yeah.
that you said they lack, he's kind of showing a little fire.
I've got no issue.
Now, I didn't really love him saying you cost us the fucking game.
Oh, he did.
Well, I mean, I think that game was pretty much lost at that point.
Well, but they had already gotten the first down because of the past.
They had already got the, and they had no timeouts.
Like, they were going to, if they got the ball back, it was going to be 10 seconds left.
Is that a man that's feeling the pressure of a hot seat?
No, no, Kailin divorce not on a hot seat.
I think Kalamah, I think Alabama's in a great spot to finish 11 and one.
I think at Baton Rouge is probably their tough.
toughest test yet, and we'll see if Lane's able to put something together in the back half of the
schedule. But I don't think he's on the hot seat. I don't think there's any concerns about
Kallyn DeBoer right now. But as soon as there are, I'll be there to call him dead again.
What about we, we have talked about this, you and I on our other shows that we've done, but the
the big 12s a mess. We talked about it on a college football show last week. I don't, I do not
trust Texas Tech. Yeah. I do, like their offense does not look like it's, I do not trust
BYU.
I kind of like Houston.
I kind of like Utah's running game.
I kind of like Baylor.
There's elements to like about everybody.
I don't know what to do.
Like there's elements to like about Oklahoma State,
but they were also down like 14-0 to UCF immediately.
And also, by the way,
there might be two big 12 teams to get in the playoffs.
Yeah.
Well.
I'm just saying,
I'm just steaming how it's all shaking out.
If the Big Ten cannibalizes itself on that third spot
and the SEC cannibalizes, like,
the big 12 could have two teams.
Yeah, I like Baylor a lot.
Baylor's one goal line tackle on two-point conversion from being undefeated and being like number
of 13 right now.
Instead, they're, I don't even know if they're, I don't think they're right.
No, they're not right.
Yeah, but I think they're pretty good.
They went out to the desert and just whipped to Arizona State.
Like, I think they're okay.
And DJ Lagway is playing average football, which if you bring in DJ Lagway and you
say you're a quarterback, you're hoping for average football.
You can win games like that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's just like everyone.
kind of, the problem with Baylor is that they have to play all three.
Whereas like Texas Tech and BYU, and BYU, Texas Tech at Houston, I don't think
they're going to go through that.
It feels to me like we're going to, all year, we're going to kind of scratch our heads.
We're going to wonder, we're going to gnash our teeth.
And at the end, Texas, Texas is going to be sitting there.
Right.
And I'm not going to be impressed by them.
Yeah.
And I'm not saying they're good.
I just say, I think they're going to be the survivor of this.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Houston, I think it's the other, yeah.
I mean, they have a big game against Utah.
That Houston, Utah game will be.
like a big who's deciding it.
What are we thinking about Indiana this year?
I know a lot of people are saying it's
underwhelming. It doesn't look like it did last year.
I will say that that game that they had this past week,
that looked a lot like the Indiana-Iowa game in 2025.
Yeah, maybe. But the only thing is last year,
when it looked like that,
what they had was a recipe where their defensive line
was going to bludgeon you to death.
Their running game was going to bludgeon you to death.
And the quarterback would make the plays in the fourth quarter
and you'd lose the game.
Well, this year, they can't really run it like that.
They didn't run it like that against Nebraska,
and their defensive line was giving up,
they were getting gashed in the first half.
Like, I just think at the lines of scrimmage,
they're not as strong as they were last year,
and they're not like,
did they win close games last year?
Yes, but it was because of they never let opponents breathe.
They let Nebraska breathe the entire game.
And Nebraska kind of just choked on their own vomit at the end,
but like it just doesn't look the same as it looked.
They're not dominating at the line of scrimmage like they did.
Yeah.
But it's a different,
they do have, now they have a guy,
who where they play a B-minus or a C-plus game,
they got a guy like Nick Marsh who can make two plays
win the game for you.
Yep.
He's special.
And Charlie Becker.
And Charlie B.
Yeah.
Saban and Kirby Smart have always had these teams
where they've got such overwhelming individual talent
that even if they come out against a Vanderbilt or in Arkansas
and they're asleep in the third quarter,
Julio Jones or George Pickin, some freak makes a play.
And they just can't lose.
And I feel like Indiana's kind of got that right.
now.
I got a question for you.
I'm going to give you a blind resume.
I'm going to do three teams that can win the national championship, and then I'm going
to do another team that has three wins that can win the national championship.
Oh, boy.
And you tell me which roster is stronger.
Okay.
Team A has Oregon, Georgia, and Texas.
Team B.
Wait, I'm picking a trunch?
Yeah.
What's a trunch?
The teams have universities.
So team A, yeah, team A, their role.
roster of universities includes Oregon, Georgia, and Texas.
Okay, Oregon, Georgia, Texas. And then Trunch 2.
Is Tranch 2? Is Tronch 2A.A.T.B. Yeah. Learned finance.
Wow. Jesus Christ. He's never seen the big short. Someone didn't go through the 2008 market
crash. He didn't see the big short. That's okay. Oh, man. Yeah.
You fucking heading the sand then? Brandon thinks it's subprime is the type of beef he gets at a
at a buffet. And then Team B, Trunch 2 has Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Miami.
Are you taking tranche one or trying?
We haven't matched Notre Dame in Miami because they have not played a single opponent.
Right.
So they play themselves.
Yeah.
Miami is not like you could you could tell me every week just a fake Miami score.
I'd be like, sure.
Like you just like, oh yeah, Miami.
Miami played Pitt this week.
They won by 30.
Okay, cool.
I didn't see it.
I'm going to take Trunchby.
It's got to be Trunchby.
Yeah.
Georgia's my national title pick.
Yeah.
But you just have more depth.
in Tranch B with Ohio State Notre Dame.
I do not believe in Texas.
Trunch B was...
In Oregon's dead.
In Oregon's dead.
Trunch B was Tom Finelli.
Got it.
Trunch Day with...
Oh, man.
Did you honestly not know that, Brennan?
Man.
Well, he doesn't know what Trunches B.
You just waddled right in that one, you did guy.
I didn't waddle.
Yeah, you did.
You waddled.
What a big guy now?
Brandon Waddle.
That's what they're calling here.
No, I...
Waddle.
Rattel.
Waddle.
That playoff, that playoff race isn't won by the, by Tronch A and B.
It's won in the tronches.
It's one.
No, you don't know what trunches.
It's one of the, it's one of the, it's one of the, it's one of the, it's one of the, it's one of the, it's one of the, it's one of the ninth team that makes it, okay?
It's not won by your, by your marquee draft picks.
Although Texas is still going to make the playoff and Georgia's going to win the national title.
So what do you want me to do?
Bray, can you usually give me a big picture, look at the realignment that J.M.U. is going to the American, which just announced yesterday, leaving the Sunbelt in a couple years going to the American conference, which seems like it is now solid.
the best non-power conference in America.
I think it has been the best non-power,
and now adding JMU is going to be even better.
I said this to Blutman last night.
He scoffed.
There will be years where the American is almost as good as the Big 12,
or at least maybe on par with the Big 12.
If you look at it right now, the Big 12 is okay,
but the American's going to have these years
where they're really, really, really,
especially when Tulane gets right and Memphis is up
and then Jamie's up it.
Like, it's going to be a very good league.
Yeah.
Big picture, what does that mean?
The big picture to me is not what JMU looks like in the American is what's the second move after that.
ACC?
Is the ACC?
Yeah.
Are we 10 years?
Is he still around?
Are we 10 years away from JMU and the ACCC?
Yeah, I think yes, but I think there's also a good chance that the ACC in 10 years looks a lot like the American.
Right.
Or the Sunbelt does now.
So the ACC comes down to Miami and Florida State and them are going to try to.
They're going to go to the SEC or the Big Ten or, yeah.
So we're going to end up probably with two power conferences, even though
that new bill is trying to limit that if it gets passed.
You give any thoughts to the new bill?
You want to say you want to stump for the new bill?
I don't,
I don't get into that new bill shit.
Yeah,
I don't,
new bills here.
We can talk about,
we can talk about the games and the quarterbacks and I can be wrong on a lot of
shit,
but I'm not getting into the bills and shit.
I'm not recognizing.
We can do the old bills.
UNC not bad.
What?
UNC annoyingly,
annoyingly competent.
Old bills.
And they play,
they play Duke this week.
Yeah.
Duke kind of took the air out of sales by losing Georgia Tech.
But like,
Usually Belichick does that.
That's kind of a sneaky little fascinating game.
Yeah.
There's some, this week.
Yeah, no, it's great weekend.
There's some sneaky robbery games that are just high, like Kansas, Kansas State.
That one we just mentioned Auburn, Georgia.
Like, there's just some games.
You guys for Sell us you?
Yeah, there's some games off the rate at well.
Yeah.
We got some health concerns that I don't think are going to come out our way.
Camaro.
Yeah.
What's the issue with Camario?
He needs eating a mushroom.
Turf toe.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
Super Camario.
That's some.
You got hit by a.
blue shell.
Some really tough,
some really tough turf toe.
Yeah.
Yeah. He's little right now.
Yeah, he's really tiny.
He's awesome though.
He's incredible.
And if we have sacrificed an LSU game to get him right and then start rolling again,
that would be, you know, that's what we're going to do.
Yeah, you'll sacrifice it.
Zach finishes off.
Roeback question.
R-H-B-A-C-com promo code take.
20% off your first purchase, Q-Zips, Polos, Hoosies, Joggers, Shorts,
rowback.com, promo code take.
Did have a quick question?
Hey, Zach.
What's up, Brian Howard, man.
Good.
How are you?
Not too bad.
It's a great day today.
You look good.
I'm just trying to keep up you,
you brain.
You look great as ever.
Thank you.
Hairline kind of nice today.
Thank you.
With Mississippi State's kind of a margin of victory
fading throughout the season so far?
Where's your head out for the rest of the season?
What does that even mean?
That's a good question, Zach.
Well, no, he's right.
You guys were winning and then you were losing.
But isn't that just getting into the media schedule
and the opponents get tougher every time?
Because I can't remember even who we opened with,
you, L Monroe,
but then we beat the breaks off Minnesota in Minnesota, sure.
But we played South Carolina on the road, beat them by seven or something.
And then you beat Missouri by seven, who's number 12 team in the country now.
Right.
And then you lost.
It's diminishing.
Yeah, but I think.
But you just told me that Missouri is going to lose to Ole Miss.
They are.
But the teams are, the teams are getting better.
That's all.
We're just getting into the meat of our schedule.
We have one of the toughest schedules in the country.
Yeah, no, Max, or Zach is dead wrong.
I'm just going to defend Zach here because you're going.
going at him. You won the first game by
49. Sure. You won the second
game by 25. Yeah, sure. You won
the third game by seven. You
won the fourth game by seven. Then you
lost the fifth game
by about a billion. So
Zach is right. The margin of victory
has been diminishing. Well,
I would say it hasn't because the last two
margins of victories are the same and the last
one wasn't a victory. So that doesn't a count towards
margin of victory. If there's a graph,
sure, straight down.
Right. But we played Alabama.
We played the Alabama Crimson Ty.
He didn't talk about the...
Did you say anything about who they were playing?
You just said...
Not a word, just math.
I guess to answer...
I guess to answer your question, Zach.
What was the question?
I'm not concerned with it because we're going to get Camaro healthy again.
He's going to get the mushroom.
He's going to get big and we're going to be good.
Follow up?
I thought he only got one.
No, he gets follow-ups.
He always gets...
It's unlimited follow-ups.
What loving home would you like to see Camaro Taylor go to next year?
That's a bad question, Zach.
That's a bad question.
We've been on record.
You should do a...
Calbell drive. Yeah. You should make
a Camario Calbell.
But it also credits his act for asking
the hard questions. Yeah. He's not going to
credit to Zach. He loves Mississippi State. He grew up
in Knoxby County. You ever been to Knoxby County?
Do you... Beautiful place. Brandon, can I ask you
a question? Max, are you telling him to say no? I figure
he knows to say no. No, I was saying I've never been there.
Okay. Yes.
You're going to ask me a question?
Do you think he
loves Mississippi State more than he
loves $20 million?
I believe Mississippi
State has the money on hand to
have Camario in a Mississippi State uniform for life.
$20 million for life. So he's not even going to go to the NFL?
No, no, no, no, no. He's going to go to the NFL. But he will be, I've heard from other
coaches on campus that the best recruiter in Starfle is Camario Taylor. That when they
bring in recruits, they, you know, is that illegal?
Other sports. No, it's not illegal. He's not. Other sports. They let him talk
Camaro and Camaro convinces him to come Mississippi State. Yes. He's a
loves Mississippi State. You grew up in
what county? I grew up in Clay County,
West Point Mississippi, yes, which is one county
north of Knoxby County. Okay, but you
you never left Mississippi either.
Oh, well,
for money,
an opportunity?
Here's the thing.
We're actually doing the show right now. What do we have a meeting?
Knoxville County. What do we have a meeting about
every six months? Yeah, you come into my
office, you're like, I got to go. I want to go home, yes.
Please let me go home. Contract. And you say
just go down? And you say relax. And I just say, relax. And I
I say, okay. And every six months, I go in there. So please let me go home. So you better hope that
there's a me in Mississippi State when Camaro says, we got, we got to use? Yeah, but when Camaro goes
into my virtual office in Mississippi State says, I got to go get that money. Yeah, just relax. Say,
hey, relax. Relay. We got you. We got you. Stay here. Mississippi State's got plenty of money.
I'm not worried about it. We're going to build around him next year and we're going to be a national
title contender. I think this right here is a case and point. They should show this conversation to
Camaro like, hey, you can leave for more money, but you're always going to want to go back.
You're going to be a bitter, miserable old man.
And also, surrounded by asshole.
I am rooting for Camaro to stay and then be good in the NFL because God knows,
Dak Prescott sucks.
Doc Prescott obviously does not suck.
No, he's got a bad game the other day.
I will give you that.
And the stadium workers are calling him embarrassing.
It's a rough scene.
It's a rough scene over.
You got so mad and then he realized, oh, shit, if I go after this guy, it's probably
going to be the Daytona parking lot all again.
Did they, it wasn't Daytona.
Panama City. And that was multiple guys. It was like 30 guys.
Yeah. He got that guy fired.
Did he? I don't think he got that guy fired.
That's what I just read right now on Yahoo Sports. It was embarrassing.
Michael Irvin lashes out of Dak Prescott for getting Cowboys and police fired.
So Michael Irving doubled down on the embarrassing.
Yeah. Michael Irvin says Dak Prescott's conduct has embarrassed the Dallas Cowboys.
Oh, Michael Irvin said that. Michael Irvin said that. Okay. Michael Irvin said that. Yeah.
fine.
All right.
I love Michael Irvin,
just not giving a fuck.
Yeah,
I know what they're going to say.
They had a house for strippers.
Yes,
it seemed like it was awesome.
That's actually pretty cool.
You think that's embarrassing?
That's not embarrassing.
No,
but I'm just saying,
when you're talking about conduct.
I mean, like,
come on,
what are you doing.
Yeah,
but that's actually what the cowboys are known for.
It's like strippers,
Coke.
Yeah.
Winning.
It'd be embarrassing in the big three.
Getting,
getting subordinates fired.
Yeah, complaining.
I don't think he got him,
I don't think he walked in Jerry Jones
office at fire this.
I think the camera guy who called it got in fire.
Brian, you live in Milwaukee now.
Yes.
Are you rooting for the Brewers?
You got the jacket on?
I'm a Braves fan.
They have zero ties to Milwaukee.
But I, yeah, I like the Brewers.
And this is a sick jacket.
So it's more about the jacket.
It's not a great jacket.
It's a sick jacket.
It's a sick jacket.
It's a sick jacket.
Is this right now, can we point at this moment and say this is the peak of the Milwaukee
Brewer season?
The fact that Brian Walker is now wearing a jacket.
Sick, no, no, p.
Sick jacket.
Thank you.
representing them national sports podcast.
Zach, help me out.
Is this a sick jacket?
I like the full embroider on the chest, I'll say it's a jacket.
I'm also,
I'm rude for the brewers,
but I fear that right now what you're doing is jinxing them.
You will tell me it's a sick jacket.
I'll say that's a,
I like the embroidery up front.
Max, it's a good jacket.
Get back.
I want to go back to, you're a brewers fan.
Why?
Sick jacket.
No, I'm not.
You've been to more brewers fans in the past five years
and you've been the brave or brave.
I live here.
I live here.
I'm, Max, turn off your mic.
You're a brewer's fan.
The vibe of the question was understood.
We went too deep on the bench to try to pull him.
Brandon there.
You're a Brewers fan.
I've been to 25 Brewers games over last two years.
That's what I'm saying.
You can't be like I'm not a Brewers fan if you go to 25 games.
I just think we got to just...
And you're wearing merch during the playoffs.
You're a Brewers fan.
You're a Brewers fan.
It's also not that sick of a jacket.
The jacket's fine.
It's fine.
It's not sick.
It's just the Brewers have a good logo.
It's a sick logo.
Yeah.
Anything that they have is a sick logo on my jacket.
Good job with the logo.
I just fear that you're
jinxing him right now.
I'm not jinxing him.
I would be a shame.
Can we just stop with the fucking jinxas everywhere I go?
Mississippi State.
Can we stop?
Alabama because of you.
Rasseling, good morning sunshine.
Milwaukee Brewers.
Jack Prescott.
All right.
All right.
We'll see you, Brandon.
Thank you.
As always.
Brennan Walker was brought to by our great friends over at Twisted Tea.
Twisted tea is delicious.
It's a great daytime drink.
It's a great college football season drink.
It's a football.

I like drinking them in the tailgate.
Nothing like a twisted tea in the parking lot.
So maybe the number one parking lot drink to start your day.
Grab a refreshing twisted tea today for tailgating.
Keep it twisted with twisted tea.
And now here's Bill Burr.
Okay, we now welcome on a very, very special gathering.
our good friend Bill Burr in studio.
It's been a while.
He's got a new movie out, Social Reckoning.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
So I wanted to ask- Small part.
I wanted to ask a question about that.
Aaron's movie, yeah.
When you're reading an Aaron Sorkin script,
I mean, that, he's known for how sharp and he doesn't waste any words.
And the dialogue is just, you know, it's almost like watching like a good, uh, like flyweight boxing match where it's like punch, punch, punch, you know.
No, nonstop.
When you're doing the lines, if you throw in an um by accident, is he like, what are you doing?
Come on.
Cut.
No.
No, no.
That's all that stuff that people like invent that happens.
Like, what the fuck?
There was a comma there.
Like, that doesn't happen.
No, if it's a good take, it's a good take.
But it is so, like, I'm sure reading it.
It's not necessary.
It's not necessary to like add.
Because like you said, there is no, there's no fat on it.
So there's, you would just be slowing it down, I guess.
But there was a couple times I threw in some extra words.
And he came in and he was just, hey, you said, you said blah, blah, blah, blah.
I like that.
That was good.
That moved like, do that again.
And it was just like I kind of, you know, then you got to remember what you did or whatever.
Yeah, that ruins it for me.
I wish it was more, hey, Bill, you added an extra word.
If you ever do that again, I'll kill your whole family.
I know, but that's what everybody wants a movie set to be.
And somebody's locked themselves.
David O Russell, yeah.
Yeah, and they refuse to come out
and then they throw a phone at somebody
and it's just like,
that's the stuff that always makes the news,
but it's what it really is,
it's like, dude, it's already going to be
a 12 to 14 hour day.
Right.
Like, let's not make it a 16 hour day.
So everybody knows that.
So you know if, if, you know, I guess if,
I mean, I've been really lucky.
I've only a couple of times worked with, you know,
somebody that had an issue.
And like, it's just like, oh my God.
Like, it's like if you were at the DMV and somebody goes, you know, we're going to add another three hours to this.
Right.
It's like, you're going to come out eventually and then we're just going to have to do this shit.
So just come out and do it.
Right.
Right.
Let's get out of here.
You realize like day one, oh, it's going to be that kind of shoot.
And then you just kind of look around.
Well, I guess I'm doing it.
So I can't go anywhere.
The premise of the movie is fascinating to me.
Did you go back?
Did you like learn a lot about Facebook and Zon?
Zuckerberg and the board battles and all that stuff before you started acting in it?
Yeah, no, I did look into kind of like, you know, like that, the way I watch sports is I just
look at the players and like the crazy people to me, the ones that know the GM and the ownership
and stuff like that. So I just was on Facebook like everybody for a while and then moved on to
something else, but I never got into the whole, you know, the behind the scenes. And like most
people I learned a lot of it with the first one. So this one is not a sequel. I've been told I've got to say it's a
companion piece. So it's not like it's, well, it's not like this happened. And it's not, I wouldn't even
know companion piece was a. It's not Rambo two. Okay. Does that put it in your world? Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Wayne's World too. So this is kind of like the first thing was like how it started. And this one is a separate
thing where it's like this has been the results of like social media. Just in general because probably
none of them have been really good for us.
So it examines like, you know, cyberbullying
and kids killing themselves because of it.
Some light topics.
The depression.
Well, I mean, what are you supposed to do?
Ignore it?
I can't find you.
No, you can't.
I mean, Toy Story 5 had it all in there.
Kids on their iPads.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Toy Story is kind of like without,
that's a rough one.
Yeah.
That's psycho in the big,
the first one, like destroying the toys
reminded me of every older kid
that beat the shit out of me.
And then that piece of shit that like had the toy store and he took him and he was shipping him off.
Very like sex trafficking, you know, sort of undertones.
Tor Story 5 was like the girl getting like bullied in a clique like with friends online and stuff.
And I was like, damn, this is.
Yeah.
And my seven and five year old are like, we love the movie.
They didn't understand any of it.
Yeah.
But that's how it's like this is making me kind of bummed out.
It's like Ice Age.
Ice Age.
Hey, let's take the kids to this.
Yeah.
Fuck, global warming.
Yeah.
But wait, so this one.
Well, you're not going to get an escape on this one either.
Right, right.
You're like, God, the kids love it, but they don't see what I'm seeing.
So this has all that because, I mean, it is.
It's hard to think about.
But, I mean, the internet, we joke about it.
Our job is to be on the internet.
But there's many days we're like, this was maybe a bad idea.
Yeah, no, it was.
It wasn't.
We should all maybe try to get off of it.
I think that in the future that that's going to, once they bring the robots in,
the only way to protest will be peacefully.
So we'll just, we'll have to all collectively somehow get on the same page and be like,
we're going to be off the internet for 10 days.
If you guys don't knock it off with these robots.
So, you know, we're going to get off our phones or something.
We won't be able to hold.
They'll call our bluff.
Well, I don't get this shit where they're going like, AI could kill us.
It's like, well, that was, you know that was.
It's like a machine.
It's in like, it's not like, is that because the robots are going to be AI?
No, that was an entire, uh, uh, uh, uh, op by.
by the AI companies.
And I will say I'm not an expert.
Well, no.
I read,
you in on these meetings?
No, I saw one
Instagram reel where the woman made a very compelling case
and I've now gone around and told everyone this is what's happening
as it is fact.
So I'll...
Because it's on the internet.
Because I saw it.
And there's no rules of libelous slander.
Essentially, essentially these...
And this might have been an AI character that didn't...
No, but this made a lot of sense.
You could tell me if this is great.
But essentially, all of these AI companies have gone way over their
skis. They've taken a ton of money in. They've created this thing that doesn't actually have any use
for anyone. Oh, that's the word that I learned that I loved. Exit Capital. Yes, right. So they don't,
they don't have any. Even if it's tanks, I still get 50 million. They don't have any, like,
there's nothing that they're actually going to do. They've created all this. They've reached these new
frontiers or whatever they call it. And they, they don't have like a use for it. And so now they've
taken all this money in. They don't have a way to make money. So they're just trying to scare us?
So the guy who did the whistleblowing was part of it where he basically was like,
oh, yeah, they're going to kill all of us.
Now they're asking for the government to step in to regulate it so they can turn around
to their investors and be like, listen, we were about to make so much money, but the government
regulated us.
Now we can't make the money.
I like that.
I'm choosing to believe.
I like that one better.
Simultaneously, they're also asking the government to be like, hey, can we just look the other
way on monopoly laws so that we can all work together and then make all the money.
I work for Live Nation.
I'm familiar.
Yeah, but this is a note.
I saw it and I was like, you know what?
I like this more than AI's going to kill us.
So I'm just going to go with this.
Yeah, some good old, like, abusive capitalism.
That's what I like about the internet.
You have options on what narrative.
Yeah.
I'm going to believe the one that makes me feel okay.
And the best part is it was literally, like, this entire thing that I just said was because
I was like many people in America, I was laying in bed next to my.
wife and she like two feet away from me sent texted me an Instagram real that then I watched you know
what I mean when you're saying right next to each other I have rules on that I have rules on that I'm like
dude this is like a two in the afternoon text I I can't before my coffee and eggs yeah fucking have my
eyebrows up like this reading this shit but I will say the internet is is like it's it's
wildly misleading just as far as touring around you know it's not real and that isn't dude I went to
like Battle Creek, Michigan last one, I've never been there. One of my favorite crowds,
and I could not have been more different than them. It's like, you know, they're known for like
military bases there, you know, farmers and all of that type of stuff. They all got like flannels on
and it's not because they're into Pearl Jam. It's because they actually worked for a fucking
living. And I went up there, could not have been any different than them. And they were just such
a fun crowd. Like I was like, hey, you know, I go, this is beautiful out here. And they were just
going like yeah right right and it was one of those things where they could shit on where they were from but
if i did they would come at me so there was this great like back and forth and they had this really you know
great sense of humor or whatever and uh i don't know i i have i have fun with uh i mean i can go there
and have a good time and i can go to like you know i can go to a really conservative place or an
insufferably liberal place and still have fun and as long as i don't come up there like you know
thinking you know everything and you respect them and you're just joking around like it actually
it all of that stupid shit goes away yeah and you have a good time and also face is a lot different
and then like it's kind of like if you're in a car if you're in a car and you're in traffic
you you you hate the car in front of you're like what the fuck oh and you also have a black belt
in every discipline you never took right right like fucking pull over when we're in these little boxes
that we travel around and we get pissed off at people that are in their little box that like
changes into our lane, doesn't give us a thank you wave, doesn't let us and whatever the case may be.
When you're online, you're in your little box and like, I think people just get, they're way more
likely to get mad than if they're not, then if they're, you know, face to face, if they're
outside that box. Like, because people, the road rage happens because people go insane when they're not
actually talking to somebody. They just have these characters in their brain of somebody that
they're pissed off at. But then you get face to face. It turns out like 90% of people are,
are very cool. And you can get along with almost everyone. Yeah. Also, sometimes I think the road rage has
nothing to do with the guy cutting off is probably something that happened at home.
100% or 20 years ago.
Yeah.
For sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Face to face, it's like everyone's nice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that's kind of what I feel like everybody's cool.
And then the AI people, politicians, 24-hour news networks, they're presenting like the whole,
everybody's head is on fire.
And like, I don't know, it's probably not a good thing.
But I had to kind of stop watching news like, almost.
almost a decade ago.
Because this is like driving me insane because they're all saying all this crazy shit and
there's no solution.
It's like your wife sending that text.
Look what AI is going to do.
Where can we go?
What can we do?
Yeah.
Like you just.
Yeah.
But all the people in Battle Creek who went out to your show, like those aren't people who
are online like commenting on everything and getting in fights on Twitter.
Oh yeah.
No, it's very.
Yeah.
Like don't that's.
Trumpy and N-word adjacent.
But I was able to kind of find a lane.
in there? But the real world is like
that's, hey, I'm all
not everybody, but you know, you bring
up certain topics
and then you feel, but like, I'm not
just shitting on conservative crowds because liberal
crowd's driving nuts because they pretend like
they care about everything. Like I said
something about midgets the other day and I was
at Largo. Cornyn and they're
like, ah, I go like, stop acting like you all
have a dwarf friend that you got to stick up
for. We actually do.
We have a co-work. Yeah, you don't care. Bring Zah.
Yeah, Zod, get in here. Say that to, I'd like to hear you
that's on his face.
Well, let me remember what the job was.
He's also African-American if you'd like to make fun of that.
What was the joke?
We got you on that one.
Yeah.
Now I was improvving.
I want to make sure I remember what it was.
What the fuck was I talking about?
I remember the ending.
And once I remember the ending, I can't remember the beginning because my brain works
like linear.
It is weird, though, with the AI companies trying to scare us.
Because I think everybody, everybody thinks that they're so special that the world is going to
end while they're alive.
It goes back thousands of years.
Everyone's like, oh, doomsday's coming.
I'm telling you guys, this is the end times.
This is the end of everything.
And every generation thinks.
And if you become an old guy, you've got to tell everybody they missed all the good times.
Yeah.
You don't realize that right now, there's going to be kids who are alive right now in 2050 telling kids that they missed the 2020s.
Like this is it.
Yeah, it was the best, the best music, yeah.
Yeah, it's like they're young.
They're having a good time.
Just let them have a good time.
Stop telling them they miss the 80s.
Yeah.
Oh, dude, the 90s, man.
The 90s are cool.
Oh, the 90s is nostalgicous.
out of hand right now.
It's always like the best time was when you were 13.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's when the world was at.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was it.
That was basically it.
All right.
So what do you got?
What's pissing you off?
You haven't called me in a while about something that you watch on sports.
I guess now with football season is coming back.
Oh, I always have like two or three times.
Yeah.
Just a voice memo from you being like, I can't stand these.
When a defensive back, the ball gets thrown 20 yards out of the field.
Oh, my God.
That will take that to my grave.
The underthrown path.
Yeah.
And then the wide receiver stops and fights his way through the defensive back.
Yeah.
And you reward the quarterback for a shit throw in a first down.
I got one for you to start off.
I'll tell you what's been driving me nuts is Drake May a fraud?
Wow.
Oh, no.
No, it's a valid question.
Oh, Jesus.
He's got a video for you.
Last year was like a fluke?
I can go through the schedule real quick that he played last year.
The Raiders.
I think he played the Browns like four times last year.
Yeah.
Can I tell you what?
That's some ball watching shit.
Our problem is our offensive line.
We can't run the ball either.
Right.
We can't throw.
We can't fucking run.
And then what happens?
We have three and outs.
And then our defense has to keep coming out.
And by the third quarter, they're fucking tired.
And then you have an ugly game like you do against Jacksonville.
We beat Pittsburgh.
We were competitive against Seattle.
Seattle fucking destroyed us in the Super Bowl.
And if you look at like...
This interview is coming out next week.
So you better hope that he looks good against the bills.
Or else what?
My status as a football fan is revoked.
Ball no record.
Here's another thing, too.
Like, I don't know if anybody looked up this stat.
There is no fucking way any team who turned over the ball,
the amount of times we did in the playoffs,
made it to a Super Bowl.
You're probably right about that.
We turned the ball over five times against Houston,
and they turned it over six times.
Then we played the Broncos.
Bo Nix was out.
We fucking backed our way into this week.
We sort of overachieved.
It's like the divisional round of the playoffs.
These guys are like shaking up champagne.
It's like, dude, this is a money grab.
by MLB.
Like Tony Cornizer's going like the Yankees Red Sox it's not what it used to be.
It's like, dude, it's a second and third place team.
Yeah.
Shaking up champagne because they were seven, eight games out of first and they made the playoffs.
Like what the fuck are we doing here?
Yeah.
Like let's wait to like not even, you know, the next round it starts to get good.
I like this.
You're getting the hate back.
No, but it's still until the, no, it's for Tony Cornhizer being lazy.
No, we were talking about it on today's show.
Like, I don't know what the solution is, but it did.
I mean, the Cubs were in.
the Cubs basically weren't in the playoffs.
They played two games and they were they were trailing in 17 of the 18 innings
and I didn't cheer once.
And it was just like, well, that sucked.
You know what I mean?
That wasn't even the playoffs.
Well, the third place team isn't ready to be there.
Like the Red Sox are going in the right direction.
Our first half was horrific.
We had a magical July and then we kind of came down to what,
settled kind of where we were in September when some lose some.
Yeah.
And then somehow we're shaking up champagne going to the playoffs as the third place team.
It's just to add games, more money.
That's all that is.
But like, you know, it's like the September games in college football.
At this point, you pay in the kids.
I don't want to see Alabama playing Arapaho Community College.
Yeah, no.
I wish they had more of the better games.
Yeah, let's just start fucking playing from day one.
Yeah, yeah, I agree.
Because it's over by Thanksgiving.
It's so short and you dick around for the first three weeks.
It's annoying.
We're already like a third of the way through the season.
It's like that.
By the way, I have one for baseball for you, which drives me nuts.
now.
The guys,
and maybe it's just,
it's going to take
a couple of years
for them to get used to it.
But guys who are walking,
getting like,
they're at the plate,
they strike out,
and then they're arguing
with the ump.
And it's like,
dude,
you could do something about this now.
Just challenge the call.
Yeah.
They'll argue balls and strikes.
That's what I don't like about it.
I'm like,
do something about it.
Tap your fucking head and just do something about it.
I know, but then they have like the irrefutable evidence,
so there's no more arguing and all of that stuff.
Yeah,
well,
the check swings now still.
You could still argue.
That's most of the conversations that are had on a baseball is arguments.
And we're getting less of those.
But there was a cool moment.
In the Brave series, the Braves won on a walk-off.
No, the Phillies.
Oh, yeah, the Phillies' one.
The Phillies' one on a walk-off ABS check.
They checked it, and the Braves struck out.
And there was like a 15-second pause.
What is ABS?
It's the system.
Yeah, yeah.
It's a replay system.
Actually, don't know what it stands for.
Automatic ball strike.
There we go.
That makes sense.
I don't know.
A peel ball strike, but there was a moment.
but there was a moment it was like 10 seconds
that we all sat and we waited
like when they bring the chain out onto the field
Oh yeah and so you're waiting to see what the final result is
and they show the pitch come in
and it's an electric moment because it's like a new play
that you get to watch and react to.
Yeah.
It was a pretty cool way to end the game.
You did mention, I mean we've had this take for a long time
that when people say robot umps
and do everything with, you know, the sky cam and all that stuff,
you would take like 50% of guys' conversations away from them.
But like if we can't blame humans.
Yeah, we can't blame humans and we have to actually say our team was worse than the other team
and have to come to grips with like, oh, our team might suck.
It wasn't the fact that we got screwed.
That would ruin everyone's brain.
Like we can't handle that.
Right.
Well, here's how I would fix the NBA basketball because it just looks like a shoot around to me.
I don't want to watch a 6'4-11 guy taking 23-pointers.
So this is what I would do.
I would get rid of the defensive three-second rule.
Okay.
The guy can stand down there again.
I'd get rid of the three point line until the final two minutes of each quarter.
Then it lights up.
Then you can take you three.
Okay.
And we get back to fucking pick and rolls, give and goes and backdoor passes and actually dunking on somebody.
Instead of everybody clearing out of the lane if they're even in there because they don't want to end up on Instagram and then watching the guy yelling like he's in 300.
It's like you dunked on nobody.
Yeah.
You dunked on nobody.
I like get your ass in the post.
Learn a couple moves.
Well, they took away 80% of the fucking.
game.
Yeah.
No, you're right.
Steph Curry.
I went to my first WNBA game.
You know, I got a daughter, so I took her out to that.
We had it was, dude, there's a fucking great time.
And the shoot around looked like an NBA shoot around.
They were fucking hitting their shots.
The game kind of, you know, it's not as accurate.
But the same thing was the first quarter.
It's a perimeter game.
They're both ice cold and they just keep launching three pointers because of analytics.
It's like, what's wrong with the 12 footer?
Yeah.
Just get to the elbow.
You're doing the layup counts as too.
And also.
I know.
29.3 feet out, you get one extra point.
How about a fucking layup?
What about what about moving?
And then the last one that I get you with is the two point conversion.
Everybody psychologically thinks it's easy because it's only two points.
It's like, no, you have to score back-to-back touchdowns.
Yeah.
Just kick the fucking extra.
When you put it that way, that is, I also like that you unironically just did the, you know,
I went to a WMBA game because I have a daughter.
No, but here's a thing.
I fucking loved it.
They hate each other.
Yeah.
No, there's real fucking anger.
No, it's a good, dude.
Angel Reese is fucking hilarious.
They just closed somebody out and she was waving goodbye to him,
but she was like a wrestling heel.
Yeah.
I was like, I'm like, I kind of liked this.
Kailen Clark gets like assaulted every game and it just becomes like a big story.
Oh, give me a fucking breath.
She got smoked in the face last night.
But that's what's supposed to happen.
I agree.
If you come into the rookie,
if you come in as a rookie and you're making more than all the veterans,
that's how it always worked in guys sports.
That's how you develop a storyline too.
It's like if that happens in the NBA,
you get her personal enforcer on the team that stands up for the Robert Ory to the Michael Jordan.
You get bad blood that develops over the years like with the bad boy pistons.
Like that's how sports is supposed to evolve.
There's the difference is we're incapable of having a sane conversation with the WNBA.
Correct.
Nobody has made any sense for the past three years about the WMBA.
And it's driving me crazy to see people talk about it.
It's kind of a nice kept secret.
It's actually it's competitive and it's fun and they fucking hate each other.
They hate each other, dude.
It's kind of like...
And the best part is they don't,
they won't admit they hate each other.
I love that shit.
When they do like the player voting for all stars
and Caitlin Clark ends up being like the seventh,
uh,
voted player.
And it's like you,
it's like you guys hate her.
You just did like a survivor vote and you voted her off the island.
I'm finding myself when I'm turning the channels.
If it's on,
I'm watching it.
Yeah.
It's, it's,
it's a good time.
I would love to see basketball,
WMBA in particular,
but,
But NBA, too, adopt the hockey rules and just let them fight.
Two guys square up, fight.
That's fine.
Shake hands.
Can I tell you something that chest bumping is enough for me?
I always get concerned about their titties.
I'm just like, ow.
That just looked.
You wouldn't go ball bag to ball bag.
No, maybe we should.
That should be the...
Can you imagine that, though, if you had like two enforcers on the NBA team,
just square off center court?
I don't think we need that.
One minute fight.
Just a couple fights.
In hockey, it's fine.
I know, but that's what makes it special.
It's part of it.
That is true, yeah.
Yeah.
And then everybody, I always love it.
You got to get the hockey out of, you got to get the hockey.
You got to get the fighting out of hockey.
It's like, well, then don't we need to get it out of boxing?
Because that's all they do.
Yeah.
No, that's the sweet science.
Also, how are you going to turn around a season if you can't fight if you're in hockey?
You know, how you turn around the game?
There was a great book, my buddy, Joe Bartner,
amazing comedian gave to me.
It was the rules of enforcers.
And there's so many fights that are avoided.
Yeah.
This guy was saying sometimes they just skate out into the ice,
at least the old days.
And the enforcer would come out there and he would just say,
out loud than nobody, but to everybody,
hey man, things better settle down out here.
Somebody could get hurt.
Yeah.
And people would be like, all right, dad's home.
And everybody would kind of settle.
It didn't always have to be that way.
But, you know, like, there's like ebbs and flows with like,
I think the golden age of enforcers and goal scorer's was the 80s,
where you had, you know, the Jay Miller's,
the Chris Nylans, the Proberts,
and then you had Eisenman,
Lemieux, and Gretzky, and all of those.
It was kind of like, you know, we'll never see.
I mean, Patrick Waugh kind of ruined the sports
when he took goal tending to the next level.
Yeah.
Because if you look at those,
the reason why guys were scoring, like, you know,
defensemen could score like 30, 40 goals,
they were stand-up goal-tenders.
They would just stand in there.
They would just kick their leg out.
But once he came down and did that,
I'm not shitting on Patrick Waugh.
I mean, the guy literally changed the position like a Lawrence Taylor.
But like it, the great ones also kind of hurt the game.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And they started to get soft and the goalies started wearing masks too.
Yeah.
True.
No, what was happening there was they curved the stick and then the puck started coming up and
that's why they needed the mask.
The fighting thing is so funny.
We are, you know, spit and chicklets to guys, they do best hockey podcasts out there.
But Biz was obviously a fighter.
And we ask him like every now and then like, what was it like?
He's like, we just skate up next to a guy and just be like, you want one?
And then next thing you know, they're just trying to kill each other.
Like a simple, like friendly, like, oh, you want to have a go today?
Yeah.
They're just like, I'm going to try to bash your brains in.
And it's just such a funny concept.
Yeah, most of those guys, they're really like nice, chill.
He's the, this is the nicest guy in the world.
And like, you shake the hand.
It's like, it's like a bear paw.
Yeah. He would do anything for anyone.
He has red meat on his hand that I have in my torso.
Yeah.
It's like they're wearing a boxing mitt.
Like those guys.
are just like built for it. Yeah. I got to ask you a little bit about the Dodgers because you,
I'm sure some of your friends are Dodgers fans. They are ruining baseball. Well, I mean, I think
they're following the tradition of ruining baseball. Yeah. I mean, you got to go back, you know,
George Steinbrenner was, you know, that was, that was his thing going out and buying everybody else's
stars. So, and then the Red Sox followed them over the waterfall of that, you know, because no one was
stopping them so you had to fight fire with fire. So there's always been teams doing that,
but I can't like logically get myself because I'm a Red Sox fan. It was funny to me to see the
Yankees and Dodgers in the World Series and see the Dodgers make the Dodgers make the Yankees
look like a mom and pop store. Yeah. There was something funny about that to me to see like,
oh, look at somebody's got deeper pockets. But I heard they're like a startup, though, or not a
startup, a private equity.
So they just have endless amounts of funds.
Maybe.
Maybe. Maybe. We don't know.
Their owner. He was the owner of the,
or he's the owner of the Lakers that just sold.
Oh.
He's been moving money around and trying to,
but you make a good point.
It's been a whole thing.
You guys are like all the president's men of fucking sports.
I love what you know what's going on in the front office.
You could tell like all the politics, political wars, wars and stuff.
And I'm just like, I'm just not going to talk about that.
And they're like, did you know the Dodgers?
might have been cheating. I'm like, let me read 100 pages about this, please.
So, yeah, they could be cheating.
It is interesting.
Big time.
It's very, because did you hear what happened with Lakers, like why he's being investigated,
why he sold the team?
He sold the team in nine months, Bill.
He made $2 billion dollars profit.
He's the only $9 a month.
He owned it for $9.
Bill's like an Aaron Sorkin movie.
No, I swear, all right, I did it.
Yeah.
Bill, sit down.
We're trying to talk to you right now.
You got on shit.
Slow down.
I'm an old fella now.
Slow down.
Okay, so he sold it in nine months because what, he, something was
common. Bought it, sold it. Nine months because... Oh, he flea. It's a flip. He flipped it because he's under
investigation and... Department of Justice looked into his finances. And Department of Justice is like,
hey, you have just been reporting this all wrong. You have to like come up with billions of dollars
in liquid by the end of the year. And so he started just selling everything. He ran like insurance and
financial services companies. That's where he made his money. And he was taking some of the
money that was coming in allegedly that should be marked as being safe investments only for like
life insurance payout stuff like that you have to take care of those funds in a way that doesn't
put your investors money at risk they're like very serious about that but allegedly he was taking that
money and then funneling that to the lakers to the dodgers to his other businesses to get players
sometimes and sometimes to make up for shortfalls in cash or to invest into the growth of his other
business scheme and then he would pay back yeah the the funds that were marked that should have been
marked as safe investments only for his like for all the insurance investors out there.
If you're doing shit like that, can you imagine when your head hits the pillow that night?
How do you get to sleep?
Right.
And they're going, all right, if I move this off.
Yeah.
Sign this fucking guy.
Yeah.
So he sold the Lakers $2 billion profit in one year for owning the team, which is crazy.
That money is now going to.
He made two billion.
It increased in value that much?
Well, that's the other question is, did it really increase in value that much?
Or did the people that buy the team from him agree,
we're going to pay a premium.
We're going to do you a solid.
You can get out of this investigation.
Guys, this is feeling like a limited series to me.
I think you guys ought to start shooting.
Let me tell you about Manchester City soccer.
That's a whole new ball wax over there.
Well, I heard that private equity is slowly infiltrating sports.
I think this is like sort of the end of, you know, I don't know.
Like sports for the longest time has just gone.
in a bad direction. Like all these new stadiums
will complete horseshit. That whole bullshit of
like in order to compete, you
guys need to spend a billion dollars of your tax
money to buy me a stadium. It was just to increase
the value of the league and their teams. Yeah, we need
the luxury suites to compete. The fucking
Green Bay Packers have been playing in the same dump
for a hundred years. They won four Super Bowls and like
11 NFL titles. It has nothing
to do with the stadium. No, it's with the Bears.
Those are I'm going through with the Bears. It's
like, oh, we need a new stadium. No, no. The other
owners want you to make a new stadium
so that the Bears go up, so they go up.
And you already did.
Yeah.
You already ruined a monument here.
The upgraded, yeah, upgraded Soldier Field, yeah.
Yeah, and now what's the problem?
They, exactly, like what you just said, the, the, every single NFL owner is looking at the McCaskies, they're like, get yourself a new stadium so the bears go from $8 billion to $9 billion.
And then the Panthers now go from three to four.
You know what I mean?
That's all they want.
They want everyone to go up.
So, why do we have to pay for it?
It's ridiculous.
It's crazy.
no lives.
Yeah.
Because guess what?
Because that's what I always do.
They do have us by the ball.
They do.
Too deep on this one.
The NFL, we, we, you know what?
are we going to walk away?
Dude, the NFL, we joke about it.
Start reading?
They're putting games on Wednesdays and Tuesday.
And it's like, we'll be like, oh, man, like, why are they doing this?
They're making Sunday not special.
It's like, but guess what I'm going to watch?
No, I refuse.
You refuse.
No, because the NCAA is doing that.
What do you mean?
Northwestern Penn State's tonight, Friday night.
New stadium, by the way.
Yeah, Friday Night Lights.
It's high school football.
They needed that to compete.
I'm not doing that.
If I'm going to watch football on Friday, it's going to be some sort of local broadcasts of a high school game.
I watch a stronger man than me.
Saturday, I'm watching, like, listen, I'm not going to lie to you.
I do, I watch the Sunday NFL.
I do watch Monday night football.
I grew up with it.
Thursday, I'm a little touching.
What about the Wednesday before Thanksgiving that they're going to do this year?
Because I have Thursday off.
Yeah, I could probably make an excuse.
Yeah, okay, there you go.
Yeah.
You're going to move some things.
around so you can watch Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday. Thanksgiving.
I'm not saying my opinions are in bedrock here, but I'll do what I...
Everything's fluid. It depends on the match. We remain fluid. Yeah.
Well, the Thursday game, my, my, my gambling tip last year was that if it was a Thursday game and it was a division rivalry and the spread was north of three and a half, you take the underdog.
Yeah. Because it's a, you know, it's a simplistic.
It's a brown last night. Yeah. Yeah. You just take that and it's, it's, it's, it's a big thing plan. It's,
It's always, oh, did that have?
Fuck, I should have taken it this week.
Yeah, the Browns won out right.
I think there were two and a half hundred dogs, but yeah.
I hit that like a couple weeks in a row, and I was like, I finally found the system and then I got burned.
Yeah.
I mean, do you know how many times I've found a system?
I know.
Like, I did it.
I found the system.
I know.
You're going up against math fleets and with computers.
Yep.
We got a guy that just does weather.
He's obsessed with weather.
So he gives out like one pick at a time.
He doesn't bet the entire board.
But he's just obsessed.
with, he'll do like his own forecast.
And he'll say, okay, there's going to be more wind.
Because big meteorology is lying to us?
Yeah, they're in on it.
Yeah.
He'll be like, yeah, there's going to be more wind in Pensacola than they're,
than they're scheduling right now.
So we've got to take this like Division II school to have an under in that game.
Is he looking like pyreps or something like that?
I don't ask too many questions.
No idea.
We just take it.
But it works.
He's like nine and one.
No, he lost last night because then I came in this morning.
I was like, what the fuck happened?
Wait a minute.
I was laughing until I heard nine and one.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, he's good.
Not only is he, he's 10 and 2 now.
Not only is he 10 and 2, but he could pitch all of these shows to streaming services.
He is a beautiful mind meteorology and sports gambling.
He was, he was 9 and 1 when Dave and I found out about him.
And we hopped on at 9 or 8 and 1.
Do you know how hard it is to be 8 in 1 and then have Dave Portnoy and myself take the next pick and actually win?
like that's impossible.
That's never happened.
Oh, you won.
We won the next pick, yeah.
He lost last night,
but we won the next, like, couple in a row.
So, yeah, he's special.
But last night he said the storm cell
quickened up in Tulsa,
and I was like, you know what?
I don't actually want an excuse.
Dude, I still think one of the funniest fucking videos
I ever saw was that one where Dave Portnoy
was with that guy, Eddie,
and he was going to win that bet.
Oh, the black check won.
Because, like, Dave was like building the tension.
I don't know when he goes,
he goes, Eddie.
Like it was good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You lost it all.
You lost it all.
And then the silence of it.
And then when he like fucking keeled over and started laughing, but he was still a friend going,
I'm sorry, that's a bad beat.
That was my favorite.
Like that one, that one and then that shirtless guy, betting the horses doing that snap.
Oh, Elio.
Oh, my God.
Oh, no, that's not Elio.
But Elio has those.
But yes, yeah, yeah.
I know who you're talking about.
The shirtless guy in the.
That one, the top three.
gambling videos is the portnoy eddie one the gambling guy and then then the dude miming the horse
with the but with the program yeah the o tb is a long lost place where it's just like that's where
you can really see the guys you know that is just full on analog people oh like they have square
TVs in their house alarm clocks yeah they they got like you know landlines like they just
everything everything moved on and they're just where they're at they're coming the
magazines they got yeah they got the lighter in their car of the cigarette lighter the plug in you
remember that they put it in cars oh yeah no i i actually the coils dude they had one i saw the
other day uh i i i love old cars and i saw they had something that was actually uh not only was
in an ashtray it had like a vacuum so you attached to it well you would set your cigarette in there
and it would it would suck in the uh the ashes so it wouldn't get on you you know your suit or whatever
That's awesome.
I bought an old 1994 conversion van and it has a vacuum like in the back attached to it.
It's like this is used to be a premier feature.
Well, new cars, they're pieces of shit and there's surveillance.
And all they're doing is like they're listening to you.
They're like talking.
My wife has a car like that.
It's just like I'll be talking to my wife for like 20 minutes and all of a sudden a voice comes on.
I'm sorry.
I didn't understand that.
It's just like who the fuck is that?
What is going on?
So I drive.
I drive, yeah, I drive only old shit.
Old cars.
Yeah.
I was listening to something you were talking about.
How often are you eating mushrooms now?
Or is that just a one-time thing?
No, I only do mushrooms like once every year and a half.
So is it to like, you're actually using it as a, I'm trying to figure out what's going on in my life, not I'm going to a concert and trying to go to the moon?
Yeah, no, I only did mushrooms.
I did mushrooms at a Billy Joel concert and it just was not.
Yeah, that's a interesting.
The dude told me it was going to be like a body high and it went beyond that.
And then it just got to the point of like, I got to get the fuck out of here.
And I turned around and there was like 60,000 like worm people.
And I was like, oh, my God.
Oh, man.
And it's just like, you fucking asshole.
But I mean, I tripped before.
So I was able to kind of like, you know, I didn't freak out, but it wasn't a good time.
But no, I kind of, I had a breakthrough with like my anger.
Like I'm not like, I can get angry because anger is an emotion.
but like I don't bring you know 50 years with me anymore kind of uh that's awesome well I figured
something out through acting um I would have weird emotions that I would experience that had nothing
to do with this scene and and I and I when I finally figured out what it was was I was uh I had walled
off most of my emotions and then but if I was in a movie and I had a play an emotion that I had
walled off I got to open the vault and shit would come out so I was like oh so I
need to kind of keep this door open. And then I took, I had this woman, this breathwork massage thing.
And then that, that was the thing that just brought me over. I got all of this anger out,
cried out for like 90 minutes my whole childhood. And then, I don't know.
Damn.
So you're getting a massage. And is this related to the, are you taking mushrooms during the massage?
No. No. But I would say, I felt like I was tripping at one point on the, like this,
they say the right side's your anger and the left side was your sadness. The sadness one was I went
back to this town that I couldn't remember names of kids, streets, or whatever. And I was in my head,
I was like, well, I was like three and we moved away. And that's why I couldn't remember it.
And then, like, I got old. I was like, no, I was eight. I should remember this shit. Wow.
A bunch of fucked up shit happened. And all of a sudden, dude, it was like I was driving in a car.
And I went back there as me, a rescuing little me. Holy shit. And not on anything. And dude,
I got up off the table and it was just like, I felt like 20 pounds fucking lighter. And, uh,
That's crazy.
Yeah, but you got to, the thing is you got to get someone that, it's like anything.
Like there's a bunch of sports shows, how many good sports shows are there?
There's a bunch of, you got to get somebody.
And then you also have to be ready.
I had kind of bottomed out with this every time something little happened, going to the fucking moon with it.
And it was, you know, it was a lot on my wife and, you know, and everyone around me.
And I just, I just, you know, it was almost like being an alcoholic.
I mean, just like, this isn't fun anymore.
drink anymore. I got that place like emotionally. So, um, yeah, it's kind of amazing. Yeah.
And then then I got to like beat myself up, you know, not beat myself up that it took me,
you know, it was last year when I was 57, 58 now, but it took me 57 years. And you're doing what
fucking kills me is all the shit that I thought that I buried. I thought that shit was,
I put that mentally out in the middle of Pacific Ocean. Dude, it was fucking right there. Like,
Hey man.
Yeah.
When are you going to deal with this shit?
That's incredible.
Yeah.
I mean, why would you beat yourself up for having a takes along?
The fact that you did it, I would say most people in the...
Because that's what you get conditioned to do.
Yeah, I know, but most people never do it.
You know what I mean?
They never actually try to face that stuff.
Well, you know, it's a good way of looking at.
That's number two.
First the AI and now that.
Yeah.
I like this show.
Did it make you better as an actor?
Did it make you better as an actor?
Did it make you better as an actor?
Imagine.
Yeah.
And I also think...
I figured it.
out on that Facebook thing and then it kind of gave me like a direction to go and then it just
kind of all fell like dominoes after like I don't know 30 years of going in and out of therapy and
failing like the whole thing just toppled and like it was really almost like anticlimactic
remember like when the Berlin Wall finally came down you're like oh that was it oh the Cold War's over
yeah that's it and then oh I guess we're all going to get along nope right back to something new
Yeah, so yeah, it has been different.
And actually it's helped out my stand-up.
Like all the myths of stand-up of like, you know,
don't be happy, don't do this.
It's all bullshit.
It's like, you know, you get to just sort of look at the world now
with like a different point of view,
which makes it fresh for you.
So you'll be happy.
And like, dude, like last night,
some of the shit I was saying,
I don't even remember what I was talking about.
But I was just like, it was crazy shit.
but it was light.
And back in the day,
when I would say crazy shit,
if I wasn't a bad mood,
it would come off in a different way,
and I would come off stage,
and I would feel bad.
And I would feel like,
oh, God, like,
I don't want to be saying this shit.
And like, you know, like,
this, if I was making fun of women,
it went from playful to, like,
misogynistic really fast,
like a lot of my earlier shit, you know,
and, you know, it was just, you know,
it's, you know, it's just something you got to go through.
if that's the kind of upbringing you had to,
and then you gravitate to other toxic people.
You're fucking toxic.
It all seems normal.
You think you're in the fucking middle
and you're like 900 miles that way.
All of that shit that's like obvious
when you say it out loud.
It was just sort of like, yeah,
I'm really happy that I was able to get
to the other side of that shit.
That's awesome.
All right.
So everyone, one last question,
Zach's going to do it.
So if you want to put on the headphones,
Zach's in the booth.
Everyone go see the movie.
This isn't the dwarf, is it?
I've been waiting for him to come in for 45 minutes.
We will.
I will find Zaz probably somewhere around here right now.
Oh, all right.
Go see the movie, the social reckoning.
We're going to run this on the day that it comes out.
So it's out when you're listening to this right now.
Yeah, go out to the movies, man.
Get out of the house.
Hell yes.
And you'll also, if Drake May throws like four interceptions against the bills on Sunday,
you can also laugh at Bill for that.
Well, I remember three, three,
four games in last year.
I didn't think we were ever going to go to the Super Bowl,
and then we did.
Yeah.
You know, and it's also like, too, we won.
We do all react to the beginning of the season every year.
Every year we do the same thing.
We had like a 20, 25-year run straight across the board.
Six Super Bowls, four World Series, two NBA titles and a Stanley Cup.
I'm good.
I can deal with a couple of tough games.
The Dap-ups.
That's what Hank.
Hank said that when he was talking to.
We signed AJ Brown.
He immediately went down.
You know, we're going through it.
Sometimes it happens later in the season.
Sometimes it happens in the beginning.
But sports writers are inherently quitters.
So they project that onto teams like, oh, what are you going to?
Is it time to hit the panic button?
Yeah.
Well, we do it on this show.
We say, I think we're smart enough to know that we're doing this because we say it out loud after like week one.
We're like, hey, don't overreact to week one.
But we're going to do three hours overreacting.
So buckle up.
Yeah, but that's funny.
And it's self-deprecating.
I can listen to a show like that.
But when somebody's actually serious,
yeah, yeah, yeah.
If I'm the owner of the Patriots,
I am really concerned, blah, blah, blah.
And it's like, are you, well, you're not the owner.
No, if you ask us if a team's good or not,
it's literally just what happened last week.
Like, the Browns are going to the Super Bowl.
Because we watched the game last night.
Oh, yeah, they're the last team to play.
I watched game two of the Rams and then the first half of the Broncos.
And I'm like, oh, these guys are clearly the Super Bowl favorite,
played with my kids.
And then two days later, I'm like, the Rams lost it.
Yeah, you never saw it.
So it doesn't count.
Yeah.
All right.
Roback question.
R-H-O-B-A-C-K-K-com promo code take.
20% off your first purchase,
QZips, polos, hoodies, jogger, shorts,
rowback.
dot com, promo code take.
Go ahead, Zach.
Sir, a quick question.
We have heard you voice characters
in the Granthathato franchise
previously with San Andreas.
Are we going to hear you on GT-6 anytime?
I have not gotten a call,
but like that was,
Grant Thoth Auto 3 was the last time
I had a PlayStation.
And it had so consumed.
my life that like I would think about the game when I was walking around going down to do a
spot so one night because somebody else hooked it up I'm really bad at like hooking those things
up I came home and before I could think of it again I just unplugged everything wrapped it up
and stuck it in the back of my closet and I've never I haven't had a home system since then okay
you like Mike Tomlin with Minecraft did you see that no oh my god Bill I actually it's good
that you're not online Mike Tomlin you play Minecraft have you
you're familiar with Minecraft?
My kid has the backpack.
Okay.
I know it.
You build your city and you're fighting people.
Right.
Yeah.
So Mike Tomlin, former coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you know, 19 years.
Mm-hmm.
He is now on NBC.
The owners, they're, their relationship people.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Big time.
So Mike Tomlin revealed that so when his kids were young, they got into Minecraft.
Mike Tomlin got into Minecraft with them to relate to them, to have a hobby.
The kids grew up.
Mike Tomlin never grew out of Minecraft.
Minecraft. He created, he's been creating a city for 15 years. Oh my God. He, he debuteded on YouTube.
You can look at right there the other night. He has a city that built. It's like 3,000 hours.
This guy has just been building a city quietly, block by block. Every single week just been sitting down.
It's one of the funniest stories. It was one of my favorite videos I've ever watched. He's going
through each building being like, I got really into interior design here. I really like the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the.
Last ceilings.
Like, it's insane.
I bet it was a nice come down to the stress of being a head coach.
Exactly. Exactly.
I got one for you.
The analog version of that?
Yeah.
There's a guy that built all of New York City, building by building.
Oh, I've seen this guy.
And it's in a museum right now.
Yes.
He, like, built it by hand.
Like, I love all of that.
Like, this is like...
Look at this.
He built the entire...
He built like high rises and he kept on talking.
He's like, I really was, you know, thinking...
that I wanted to be intentional about how I had my...
Did he force out small businesses in any part of it?
Did he get to that level where he's like that real?
That would be funny if he, if that, because he kept teasing.
He's like, this is the baseball stadium.
We're going to do this next week.
So he,
there's like multiple episodes of this.
Yeah.
He was very conscious about what amenities he would put in his luxury apartments as
opposed to the ones that were not luxury apartments.
Oh, only on the top floors.
High rise is looking over the baseball stadium so he can watch the baseball game.
And we were saying that I would imagine some Steelers fans watch us and be like,
you were fucking doing this when we couldn't.
you know, we couldn't win a playoff game for the last 10 years,
but it's pretty impressive.
I'll send you the video.
Did he put a blue bottle next to a mom and coffee place?
Dude, that is amazing.
Incredible.
So, yeah.
I like that he,
that this is his city and he didn't just slap it together that he actually knows
about the whole thing.
I have to watch it.
Very intentional about it.
What's the name of this?
It's just Mike Tom.
I'll send you the link after this.
Mike Tomlin, rooftops, penthouses,
an urban living.
He kept on talking about the urban density.
of his city and how he wanted to be intentional about the spaces.
That's a little Frank Lloyd Wright.
Am I crazy?
A little bit.
He might be.
Yeah, I don't know if he's done with it.
If he's still adding on to it.
I think he is.
I think it's an ever-living thing.
He's got a Trump Tower.
He said he made a Trump Tower, but he wanted to be very clear that he put that up in
2015 before he became president.
He was like, this is not an endorsement.
This is just a Trump tower.
That's in my city.
I like people who hate Donald Trump and they stand out and they like pro, like one
one of the time, like 2018, I stayed at the Trump Hotel.
and there was people protesting Donald Trump
outside of it. It's like, dude, he's not in here.
Yeah. Is he home?
Let us in. He's a brand
and they've bought the brand
and they put his name on. He's not here
talking about what kind of drapes
they're going to put.
Yeah, but it would be funny if they rang a doorbell
and you did come down.
He comes out with the room and shows him off.
He's like, you got a complaint?
Well, I didn't vote for him either, but like
they were giving us so much shit going in
and out of it. We started like trolling him.
We just started chanting four more.
years and then it happened oh god oh man all right well bill you're the best uh you are you
you have a never-ending tour no i got the kids now so like i this is my last like run here okay
i go to new york uh and we have the premiere for the movie that's coming up today on this thing
and then uh i come back and i'm off for the rest of the year and then i got a movie coming up
that i'm trying to get your talents in on yeah uh that that's going to be at the beginning of the year
So, but even that one, I made sure I scheduled it so I would be around for my daughter's birthday.
So like, I just make all, I saw one time Eddie Murphy said that, you know, if you put your kids first,
you'll never make a bad decision.
So like, all I think about is on my deathbed, I'm not going to be thinking like, oh, man,
I pretended to be a cop in that movie.
That was awesome.
I'm going to be thinking about I was there for their birthdays.
I made him a cake.
I taught him how to ride a bike.
And like, like, my daughter just started playing little league baseball and just,
And just watching a play shortstop and making a play was just,
it was better than anything I've ever done in this business.
Oh, it's the best.
It's the best.
It's the best.
It's hard to do, but it's, you're right.
I, uh, I had to pass up family feud.
We did, Barstow was on family feud and it was my daughter's birthday and I was like,
can't do it.
You made the right call.
I don't know.
Steve Harvey's the man.
I think it turned out, okay.
I know.
We got zero points.
No, I did make the right call.
Marshall Sports.
He is the man.
All time record.
Dude, but this is when you know you're the dumbest guy is when you're the last person on the family
feud.
Yeah.
Like because there's always, you got three, four smart people in your family.
Yeah.
Then you just got that shithead.
Yeah.
And then you got to, they have some dumb answer.
And there's always that awkward pause.
And then they go, good answer.
Good answer.
Yeah.
And he also got, he always is wearing the thing that you know he just bought.
Like, it's like a purple button down with a tie that he got from like, you know, coals.
And you're just like, yeah, he didn't have anything to wear.
Yeah.
He put on 20 or 30 pounds since he bought whatever the, whatever he's wearing.
Yeah.
Well, thank you guys for having me.
You're the best.
Reckoning.
Yes.
Incredible actors.
It was one of my favorite gigs I've ever done.
And I think it's a great movie.
So go check it out.
If you got the time, I'd appreciate it.
Yes, absolutely.
Thanks, Bill.
All right, thanks for having me.
Bill Burr was brought to you by Shell.
I'm going to be honest, I don't usually get excited about loyalty programs.
They promise big rewards.
And then it's like you actually have to eat 48 pizzas to get one free.
So when I heard about the Shell Few Rewards program, I was skeptical.
Shocking, I know.
But here's the thing.
It's kind of annoyingly practical.
You're already getting gas.
You're already grabbing takeout.
You're already buying snacks that you definitely didn't need, but absolutely deserve.
Michelle fuel rewards, you just get rewarded for that.
And not in a fake points you'll never use way.
It's actual savings on gas.
And the part that got me, the savings stack.
So it's not like one sad little discount.
It's you fill up, you eat, you shop, and it all piles up into real savings at the pump.
Joining takes less than three minutes in the shell app, and you'll save on every fill after that.
Literally every single one.
So if you want my wreck, join the Shell Fuel Rewards Program and save.
Join the Shell Fuel Rewards Program today and save at the pump.
Okay.
What do we got?
Guys on Chicks?
Yeah.
I got a real quick Tuesday reading for us, Wednesday reading.
This is from John Machota.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones this morning on W or 1053, the fan sharing one of his greatest memories from his trips to Green Bay.
Jerry says, after the game against the Packers, maybe 25 years ago,
All my grandchildren were very small, four or five years old, and I had a car full of them.
It was so cold.
We won, and as we left the stadium, we were in a long, big car, and I saw this lady headed
toward the car.
She comes up beside the car running.
She was so upset as a Green Bay fan.
She was pretty hefty, and she turns around and pulls it all down and just plants it
right up against the window.
Everybody inside was in shock and couldn't believe it.
And then her skin stuck to the window.
It was so cold when she pulled away.
there was just a big print sitting there on the side of that car.
There were about 10 or 11 of us in the car and we can still see it today.
Love when Jerry just gets going on a story.
That's a great story.
Great story.
Also, calling someone pretty hefty is like trying to be nice about it and being like,
that's a fat ass.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
It's like saying like.
Well, it's an important part of the story too.
You want to know how big the print.
It's a pretty hefty print.
Yeah.
But that's like in the back of your head, you're slowing yourself down.
You'd be like, I don't want to call this person a fat ass.
let me call them pretty hefty.
It's like pretty hefty.
It's big gal.
It's fat.
It's fat.
Very fat.
Pretty hefty.
Okay.
Ready, Hank?
That is a stain on my Super Bowl window.
Go, Hank.
Hey, boys, I need your help.
I have a crush on the bartender who works in my local sports bar.
I go very often so I don't want to make anything stupid that would make me too
embarrassed and ruin my neighborhood bar for me that I love.
Do I play the long game?
Just go for it.
I don't have any sports bars in my area, so it's crucial we think this through.
Yeah, it's a risky proposition
Because if you blow it, you're not going to want to go back
You'd ruin that bar for yourself
Just get drunk with him one day
Here, wait, is there's a girl asking
I think what you got to do
This is non-binary
Oh, non-binary
I think what you got to do is
Ask another bartender first
Like, hey, is that guy
Got a boyfriend, a girlfriend, what's his deal?
because if you ask him out
and he's like, no,
then it's going to be awkward every time.
Go through a middleman.
Does that make sense?
Right?
No, if you're going to the bar
and you just go to the bar,
talk to him at the bar.
What do you say?
You want to get a drink sometime?
He's just,
or you're like,
oh, God, I'm so drunk
or like talk about how you're single,
then see if, you know,
they talk about them being single.
I think you've got to go out of time
when it's not super busy
and then just plan on being there for an hour or so,
have a few drinks,
get talking with them,
ask him to take a shot with you.
and if he drops like a story about his girlfriend in the first 10 minutes that's that's your
cue maybe not going to work out does the situation reverse if it's girl guy if the bartender
as a girl yeah yeah then you then that's different because she gets hit on all day by every guy
so so if you hit on her chances are she's going to start to tune you out unless she's like
you yeah that's true if the rules are reverse you just got her job she's not into you
Yeah, true. Good point, Zach.
Yeah, really good point. That's a good ad.
Max, did you make him turn on the mic there?
Yes, he keeps trying to raise his hand and then he was like, I don't want to interrupt.
And then there's like a big block in what you guys are saying.
So I just screamed at him, go.
You can interrupt.
Yeah, sometimes you guys are his hands.
We do that all the time.
I miss the hand.
But the hand raising is different from when.
Just interrupt.
Everyone else hand raises out of.
Also, Zach, you got to understand.
What I'm looking for.
The, the.
The.
Disrespect.
The handraising is disrespect.
The interruption also is you clicking the thing.
Like once you click, then we're going to be like, oh, Zach, what do you think?
So you don't have to be like, oh, can I speak?
You just click.
You just got to find the riff.
That's all.
Yeah, but just click.
Okay.
But yeah, she doesn't want to fuck you.
Yeah.
Hank, you start, or Zach, you start with this next one.
Go ahead, Hank.
So, guys.
My ex recently added me on her close friend story on Instagram.
She broke up with me a few months ago and we haven't communicated since.
While we were dating, she didn't have a close friend story that I'm aware of.
Do I reach out to her?
I feel like if she wants to talk again, she should reach out since she broke up with me.
Jack?
She just wants to know that you're keeping her at the front of your mind.
It's just like, hey, I just want you to keep thinking about me.
She's playing games.
That's it.
Yeah.
She just enjoys the fact that it's like, will he engage?
Because then it's all right, yeah, he's still thinking about me.
I'm good.
Just don't view the story and then she'll reach out.
Ooh, good point.
she's putting you on the close friend story to see who's actually
seeing it she wants to see your name yeah
don't give her that yeah that's such a good point
because when she sees the name she got what she needed from the situation
you're gonna think about it all day yeah can you and you don't want that don't invite
that into your life can you remove yourself from somebody's close friends
yeah what do you mean can you be like I don't want to see the green ones anymore
you could probably block them and then unblock them that would be a power move
Yeah.
You're getting put on a random person who's close friend?
That's electric.
That's happening to you?
Yeah.
Who?
Random people.
That's awesome.
Yeah.
Highly recommend.
Damn.
And you're like, should I even really be watching this right now?
Yeah.
I'm like, do you have to like the story?
I have, no, I'm not going to say it.
Say it.
I have Dom like every one of Mikey Betts's stories so Mikey Betts doesn't get mad at me.
Will he get mad?
he might now
but what do you get mad if you didn't like him
like he was just like
you haven't liked one of my stories in a couple
months and it's like are you
are you reading are you seeing it and so I was like
Dom just every day just go through
the stories and just like Mikey Betz's
this is so much worse than just not liking them
yeah it's gonna stink you're literally
paying someone to like his story because he's
I liked a couple
I actually I'll say this another day of job
security big cat like my shit hold on
I did say he was in Mexico
last week and he was
He was dressed
As a man
It's it's it's it's you it's got to be a great story to like it
Mm hmm
Yeah
Or you can't just be likeing other other guys stories for fun
Or just Dom
Oh I have um
Speaking of Instagram I just I just logged back on
I hadn't been on in a while
I got a I got DM
I don't know if I can say who it's from
College basketball player
Played a lot of college basketball
It's uh what's his name
The Kansas guy
Perry Ellis.
No, Kansas, Michigan.
I haven't heard that name in years,
Hunter Dickinson.
I'm not going to say a guy that played a lot of college basketball.
Titus?
He says, that's mean, memes.
I thought it was in college basketball, yeah.
He says to show this to Max.
It's Hunter.
Shout to Hunter.
So he just sent me a thing that the Carolina Hurricanes posted
and said, we've won more games in Philly the last nine days
than the Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies combined
this whole month. Is that true?
Yeah, Carolina Hurricanes are the number one hate list of all time right now.
There's just no way that's true.
Carolina.
That's part of the reason of the must win this weekend against the Carolina
What the Carolina Hurricanes think that they're doing.
That's insane.
So if we beat the fuck out of the Panthers, it's all the Carolina Hurricanes fault.
I like this, Max, because I also hate the Carolina Hurricanes.
Yeah, fuck them.
That's, uh, thank you, Hunter for sending us that because we needed that.
Max is back.
Max is back.
No, I've, I, I don't want to get, Big Dom probably saw this.
I don't want to give that the respect that it doesn't deserve.
Yeah.
But you, but you just did.
Well, you made me.
It's, it's my job to respond.
I didn't bring it up.
That's true.
But it's absolutely fucked all of Carolina this weekend.
Yeah.
Fuck Carolina.
Look what you did.
I found it.
I did, I did, uh, Mikey Betts had a cool sombrero when he was,
in Mexico and I said, damn, put that thing on.
That was for me on his story.
That was nice.
Put that thing on.
So yeah, Vival O Stool, when you're clipping the Mikey Betts thing, make sure you
have that.
Damn, put that thing on.
Yeah.
I personally saw him looking awesome and he fucking put that thing on.
All right.
Last one, not really guys on chicks, but, hey Dan, Eric Henry, Chris, Zach, and Connor.
Every year that goes by, I am stuck wondering why NFL does
just adopt college football overtime rules.
They care about player safety.
This would be the safest option.
And it would also make the overall fan experience that much better.
No one wants to see Harrison Mivas or Tyler Bass
strad out there in a high scoring game.
To have a walk-off field goal in overtime.
Let Josh Allen and Matt Savroko body blow for body blow
and decide a winner that way.
Admittedly, do we know that it's safer?
Is college overtime safer than NFL overtime?
No idea.
I don't know if that's true.
It might be.
It might very well be true.
I don't hate the idea.
I kind of like seeing Mivas have something to do with the game.
But I don't hate that idea.
I think college overtime is much better than NFL.
Yeah, I like college overtime a lot better as well.
But I agree.
I don't know if it's like we did see Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford go against each other in overtime.
Yeah.
They did change the rule to make that happen.
Yeah.
Like the, I think this person is forgetting that the first possession in overtime
was a fumble.
Right.
By the bills, right?
So it's like they were going for it.
Yeah, it's, there is something to be said, I think, for having the overtime period look a lot like the regular time period,
like a regular, like a fourth quarter looks the same as overtime.
You have to put together drives, ideally, to be able to win the game.
But, I don't know, college football overtime is just so much better.
What I would say, if I were going to change college football overtime a little bit to make it to the NFL,
I'd say college football over time, no field goals allowed.
Yeah.
So you just have to go, you have to go for it.
Yeah, I like that.
Try to score.
What are we laughing about in the booth?
Booth boys.
You're just laughing.
Chris Connor.
What are you guys laughing?
You guys have two funny guys.
No.
Memes is saying we haven't been getting a lot of guys on chick submissions from actual girls recently.
So he's like, I think I'm just going to text Max's wife and just get things that Max says.
Oh, I like that Max stuff.
great. That's great.
Like when he screamed
when the Jaguars won? I didn't scream.
I didn't say word.
We could do Delente on Delente.
Delente on Delente.
Yeah, but people text a number.
To the max.
Help us out. Especially, yeah, for anything.
When we do F-A-Qs, when we do...
Mainly guys on chicks.
Guys on chicks. Okay, the other ones are good.
The other ones are good.
All right.
I would say we should just do guys on guys.
That's the entire show.
Oh. Yeah, but just have guys.
you know, maybe different things about their significant others,
but the guys will help the guys.
I think if it's-
We can help guys.
Yeah, we could help guys too,
but guys on actual chicks.
Yeah.
You want legit chicks.
Guys on guys on chicks.
But we'll help real guys too.
Yeah.
Guys on guys on guys.
Guys on guys.
Next week we'll do guys on guys.
Help you with the guys with the chicks problems.
But if you're a chick and you're forced to listen to this right now,
what's up?
Text the number.
Hey, Shane.
they just like making TikToks
about how I have to listen to this
in the car. Yeah, but if you're forced to listen to this
in the car, text the number
why you're being forced to listen to this
in the car. Or when you make the
TikTok just add a question in the caption
for next guy's on checks.
Yeah, that'd be good. We'll just take it
from there. No far question.
All right.
Oh, by the way,
I would like to give a special
congratulations to our good friend Tom
Fernelli. He texted me last night.
He also guesses three on every single episode.
Oh, congrats.
So Tom also got it.
Tom Furnelli was also one talking about that Carolina Hurricanes tweet.
He's tweeting directly at you.
Well, that one was directly at me.
Illinois is having a great season there, Tom.
Oh, there we go.
Let's go.
Meems.
All right, numbers.
Seven.
I'll go three again.
Ten.
I'll go 37.
29.
Four.
69.
I hope Shane gets it.
Why?
42.
You see the graphics?
What did you say?
There's like 15 teams that haven't
win in so far in 2016.
Oh.
59.
Anyone?
66.
What did Colton guess?
69.
Oh.
Happy birthday to a friend of the program's
Jared Gough.
Nice.
Happy birthday.
Is that today?
Yeah.
Wednesday.
The 14th.
Oh, yeah.
Happy birthday to Loran Landry.
Happy birthday, Emeka Ibuka.
Happy birthday, Boof Bonzer.
Happy birthday to Uffar.
I thought you were saying Mecca Oka, 4.
Happy birthday to Dwight Eisenhower.
Happy B-Day, D-Day.
Happy birthday to Blaine Gabbart.
Happy birthday, Ray Ray McLeod.
Happy birthday to Michael Lewis.
Happy birthday to Oscar Hernandez.
Happy birthday, Jim Palmer.
And happy birthday to Emerald-Lagasy.
And happy birthday to Nora Morgan.
Happy birthday.
Who's that, Hank?
Happy birthday.
Oh, my niece.
Happy birthday, Nora.
Damn.
What?
Nothing.
Your Lockwood plug.
Miss one.
Oh.
That'd be kind of weird if I...
I don't know.
You know, all Lockwood's birthdays.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry I didn't look up Hank's niece.
That's...
I don't know.
You got a plug, Hank.
It's a different side of the family.
Oh, you got to bridge the gap.
You're a weirdo.
You're a weirdo.
You're a weirdo.
What about this one?
The Navy?
Oh, yeah.
Happy birthday to the Navy.
Congratulations.
No, I can't.
They're my rival now in the American Conference.
Yeah.
What about planes?
They got so many planes.
I like their planes.
I separate the art from the artist.
Okay.
Good planes.
It's like ignition.
So you're in on the planes out on the pilots?
It's like R. Kelly.
Like the remix to Ignition's awesome.
The Cosby show is a great television series despite the actions.
Okay, happy birthday to, yeah, the F-18 Hornet.
That's a hell of a plane.
You guys know that.
Love you guys.
