On today's part of my take, we have our good friend, George Kittle, from his compound. He's got a compound in Nashville whole gym. We went and visited him. We did a great interview with him, talked about everything,
Starting point is 00:00:25 and then we did a Mount Rushmore with him. George is taking Jake's place for just this Mount Rushmore teaming up with Billy. We did the Mount Rushmore of famous football plays. We're going to talk NBA draft. We're going to talk Chris Paul to the Warriors, Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies. We've got Jared, the subway guy, Doc, review and Fire Fest of the Week. So great Friday show going for everyone sending into the summer weekend. And it is brought to you by Chevy. This episode of Part of My Take is brought to you by our favorite trucks. The best trucks are most valuable trucks. The family of Chevy Silverado, the Silverado 1500, the Silverado HD,
Starting point is 00:01:07 and the first ever Silverado EV. We're truck guys, really Chevy truck guys, and this takeover of Titan University is perfect for the grit and tech that Silverado is all about. We've seen firsthand how strong and gritty these trucks are, And especially the most recent time we've had with the first ever Chevy Silverado EV, PFTU, you went across the country in a Chevy Silverado. You loved every second of it. Factor fiction. That's an absolute fact. The thing is a beast.
Starting point is 00:01:37 It's a monster. It is a cool truck. It's so comfortable on the inside. There are four of us on the inside all the way across the country, kind of like a submarine, except way, way more room. And we got their safe and sound. Yes. And so the Chevy Silverado taking over the entire episode, uh, it's the perfect marriage. We're in, we're in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:01:57 We're with tight ends, tight ends are the trucks of the NFL. They're hardworking, gritty, tough, can go fast as well, just like the Silverado. Starting point is 00:02:52 And then I can't play all on the sun We're gonna rock it down too He'll like Shrek I value And then we'll take it higher Oh we're gonna rock it down too He'll like my trade He'll like my trade's part of my trade. Is anybody barstown sports? Welcome to part of my take. Today is Friday, June 23rd and PFT.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Welcome to Wembontonio. That was great, wasn't it? Marty Smith got dressed up like a kid getting dressed up like Kid Rock for Halloween. And it was actually more Joe Dirt. It was like Kid Rock as a child getting dressed up like Joe Dirt for Halloween. Shaved Wimanyama's face into the back of his head.
Starting point is 00:03:38 And just went out there and delivered a speech for the ages. It had court in San Antonio. Marty Smith seems like the nicest guy in the world. And I don't think this is knock on him because I think he just gets sent out by ESPN to do these type of things where they're like, hey, we're going to do a funny hit from anywhere in the South. Send Marty Smith. I hate the word cringe, but that that moment when he turned and he held it for extra long and was like, check it out see it's
Starting point is 00:04:05 Wemmeniam in the back of my head Wembontonio. It was it took my breath away. So that was it was something it was it was it was quite something actually rent free like literally living rent free in the back of Marty Smith said I wouldn't be surprised if Nick Wright had LeBron just constantly stencil probably tattooed on tattooed. Yes. Yeah. Well, he's got, I saw there's these new tattoos, which we got to check out PFT. Maybe that's, maybe we do that for the, for the commanders bears, but someone hit me out.
Starting point is 00:04:38 There's new tattoos that last for three years. Maybe Nick Wright just does LeBron in his like different jersey, Knowing that he won't be there for more than three years. So he doesn't know he can worry doesn't the worry about it They need to make one for six for four days for Chris Paul for Chris Paul I did I was on my way to to the tattoo parlour today because I'm gonna get a tattoo plaid half sleeve and I was gonna Add Chris Paul on there as well right before I ran my marathon and Then fortunately I turned waged notifications on. So what a what an era in DC sports, not the Chris Paul era. I
Starting point is 00:05:12 say if the Wizards win a ring, he should get one. Chris Paul should get a championship ring. You did that. You went to the tattoo parlor in the tandem bike that we're going to ride around Manhattan as well, right? Yeah, it was awesome. It was a whimsical journey. It's light when it's only one of you. It's rained every Friday in New York since we made that arrangement back in 2020. It's been wild. It's gonna rain tomorrow. So yeah, NBA draft tonight. What are, I mean, the big takeaways are there's a lot of guys that play in the G-League
Starting point is 00:05:43 and like overtime elite that I never watch play college ball And so when their names pop up I'm like wait did I oh no he's played and you know for the juice or Or the elite or some other team Grady dicks whole outfit. I actually am a big fan of because if your name's Grady dick You have to find a way to make your outfit so loud that people will point to the outfit before they point to your last name. So I thought that was actually a very heady play by him. Yeah, no, if you're Dick you have to look as much like a vagina as possible. That way you forget what your actual last name is. It was it was a great suit.
Starting point is 00:06:20 I liked it a lot. It was it gave off like David Bowie vibes if David Bowie was the singer of the talking heads. And it was a good look. Great, great, Dick. I didn't realize how strong his TikTok game was. I did a little perusing of old Grady. Oh, yeah. He's a big dancer. Yeah, he's a big dancer.
Starting point is 00:06:39 He got like the whole team involved in his TikTok last year. There should be, I was actually, no, no. I was gonna say there should be a baby was actually, no, no, I was going to say there should be a baby groc version of him, but then that would be baby. Yeah, we already have him. He makes one hand it catches all the time in Buffalo. He looks fucking awesome. Yeah, baby digs, not baby dick. Yes. So NBA draft, should we go, let's go around and everyone say their favorite draft pick. I think that's the best way to do it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Because, because you know, look, the NBA draft, they try to make it, they try to make it a big deal. Kind of like the NFL draft. There's a pretty big difference. Not as many people watch college basketball as college football. And also a lot of the guys in the NBA draft only play one year in college basketball. Whereas in the NFL draft, it feels year in college basketball, whereas in the NFL draft it feels like you've been watching these guys for years and years and years. It's still fun. It's still like, it is, there are these heartwarming moments. The fact that there were twins back to back was fucking awesome. And everyone's like watching these guys realize their dream is very cool. And my biggest takeaway was Michigan didn't make the tournament.
Starting point is 00:07:49 And they had two, I think, lottery picks. And it wasn't too lottery picks for two first rounders and also had all American center. They didn't make the tournament. Those are always the interesting times when it's like you see a loaded team get picked and you're like, wait, they weren't in the tournament. That's weird. Yeah. Joanne Howard's the new coach, Cal. That is what maybe if you're really, really old was, Joanne Howard has a son that just got drafted in the NBA. Yes. At that point, it's like, okay, I'm officially washed, officially, officially. Until this very moment, I thought that there was a chance I could play in the NBA at some point,
Starting point is 00:08:28 and then when you see the son of a guy that you remember getting drafted, also getting drafted, that's tough. It wasn't even the fact that he got drafted. That was like a moment like, oh shit, because obviously I knew he was on the team last year at Michigan. It was when they told the anecdote that he used to play, uh, like hoops,
Starting point is 00:08:48 when Juan was on the heat. That was Juan Howard's last stop. Yeah. Like it wasn't even it was, it was like, yeah, he, you know, he really came into it, you know, like he, he really got to be around a bunch of pros in 2010. Mm-hmm. That hurt. really got to be around a bunch of pros in 2010. Mm-hmm. That hurt. Johan Howard is an all-time bad getter in the NBA.
Starting point is 00:09:09 If you look at his contract that he got, Jesus, that dude's agent is a fucking genius. Yeah. He got like $150 million guaranteed when dudes were not getting over $100 million guaranteed. Yeah, he made $150 million in his entire NBA career. All right, should we do best picks, favorite picks? I like Wimb and Yama, Big Cat.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Okay, nice. I give that grade, I give that an A. Okay, A, A, not an A plus. No, I give that an A, I give Grady Dick to Toronto and A, but it's EH. Okay, okay. I'll go with my best pick. Jaime Hock has to the heat, like, perfect heat culture.
Starting point is 00:09:52 He's going to have a series probably next NBA playoffs where he somehow averages like 25 points of game out of nowhere that, and maybe it's a little bit of a distortion where, remember when the Spurs had their run and every time they drafted anyone you're like perfect spur. So it could be just the cult but obviously watching him forever at UCLA. He is the perfect heat culture guy and he will be he'll be a very good player in the NBA because he got drafted by the heat. It's like when when the Ravens draft anybody on defense
Starting point is 00:10:25 in the first round, it's like, oh shit. We all forgot about that guy. Yeah, that guy is definitely gonna be a fit in Miami. I think, I think Brandon Miller is kind of a genius because they interviewed him the other day and he said that his goat, his favorite player in NBA history is Paul George. That to me tells me he's thinking two steps ahead
Starting point is 00:10:48 because he knew that Charlotte wanted to draft him. They asked him who your favorite player in NBA history is. That tells me his favorite player is LeBron and he knew that he could not say that it was LeBron James because Michael Jordan is still very much involved in the draft process for Charlotte even though he sold the team. Yeah, which makes no sense. Yeah, he's still like the one making decisions, which yet makes zero sense whatsoever. But Brendan Miller knew that he couldn't say
Starting point is 00:11:12 my favorite players LeBron because then Jordan would be like, fuck you, I'm not drafting. You just out of spite. See, I thought it was a similar situation in the Grady Dick suit where he says Paul George and then every interview he does after that they don't talk about what happened at Alabama. They're like, hey, because you know, there's not the internet works. Everyone wants to get the viral clip. They're like, hey, do you really think it's Paul George? So he basically just shifted the entire narrative where he is the Paul George's goat guy instead
Starting point is 00:11:41 of everything that happened to Alabama. Yeah. No, it's a two-fer. I think it was a genius move on his part. Everybody was like, this guy's insane. No, no, he's so sane that you are the ones that are insane for not realizing that. That was a great move on his part.
Starting point is 00:11:54 If you guys were a front office though, in the Hornets and you're an analytics nerd, imagine getting an argument with Michael Jordan and being like, we should take this person. And he's like, no, that's on Michael Jordan and on Michael Jordan. That is why the Hornets have not been very good. I would say. But what are you supposed to do?
Starting point is 00:12:12 No, you can't do anything. You can't do anything. How many times has an equation, one, six and B.A. titles? Exactly. Never. Well, I guess it was trying to go offense. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:24 All right. Hank, what's your favorite pick? My favorite pick it was gonna be Brennan Miller. I'll go with Scoot Henderson I just liked I like the outrage that came with that pick. I feel like part of it is just it wouldn't matter who the hornets took Their fans were gonna be mad. Yeah, and I like having the it's kind, you know I like having the the debate and and and the freak out videos. Like, you know, Jalen Hurts got drafted. Chris Saps pour Zingas, like there was all these epic freak out videos and then when they're good,
Starting point is 00:12:52 people are like, oh yeah, you look like an idiot. And I like the turmoil that came in. Like Jalen Hurts, just curious. Different sport. Why'd you throw in Jalen Hurts? Well, I was just thinking of the Nidu video of him seeing youingil Jones? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Yeah. Yeah. People freaking out and then having them be good. I also like Scoot Henderson. Every draft analyst has been like, so yeah, maybe he's not great at shooting, but he's got that talk. They all have to say that subtly.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Yeah, he's not a great shooter, but he's a competitor and he's gonna win. And his name is Scoot. You can get better at shooting. You can't change your name to Scoot after you get drafted. That's true. Well, what they say on draft night is what you're going to be stuck with.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Yeah. Let's do that. Let's do that. Yeah. Max, what's your favorite? I almost don't even want to say because it's bullshit, but Cam Whitmore going 20 is, I guess, the best value of the draft. Oh, okay, Villanova.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I mean, Villanova is the most year in and year out. They get disrespected in the draft every year, and then they outperform their expectations time and time again. So I guess this will just be another case. Okay, Jim, on your shoulder, Jake, do you have a favorite pick? Yeah, besides Tommy Hawkeyes to the heat. Like you mentioned, good for Jordan Hawkins getting a lottery pick. They'll find a lottery pick going from national championship at Yukon to lottery pick. What a run in terms of three months for that for him and coach. Yes. yes, good pick by the Pelicans. And then Billy, pull up the draft real quick.
Starting point is 00:14:27 Let's hear it. No, my real surprise is like how crazy that in the top seven picks, five aren't from college basketball. Yes, yeah, yeah. Like, like what's going wrong? What's wrong with the American system, you know? What is some of them are American?
Starting point is 00:14:44 There are American. There are six school, there are high school. Six-hours, what's right? Five-hour stolen, right? Also, I think that Victor Wimbanyama might not be as French as he lets on. He speaks real good English. Real good English. And how French?
Starting point is 00:14:59 How pretty, definitely better than us. He definitely spells better than I do. How French can you really be if your name is Victor? That's not, to me, that's not a French word at all. Yeah, they can't, they don't know the definition of that. All right, so good, yeah. So not a pick, Billy, just a thought. Just a thought.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Okay, I like that. Thoughts on the draft. Or the Mets, or the French Mets, are they like the angels in baseball, where they've got the two best players by far, and then they just can't win a championship? So I was listening to win horse. I think it was on his podcast last week. He was saying that the team, they basically built an entire team to get Victor Wembe Nyama, like better ready for the NBA.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Like they got rid of like all their old guys and brought in young guys just so he could practice harder and longer and like and you know, the guys could push him. And so it was like, and he was telling a story about the actual team facility is like a wreck gym that ESPN when they did their photo shoot with Victor Wemba Niyama, uh, frented out the gym so the team couldn't practice that day.
Starting point is 00:16:12 I don't hate that strategy because they've never had as much advertisement for their team as they had today. Like getting two players in the top 10 is incredible. I guess the team might not even, I don't know if they have relegation in in French basketball, but like the team might not even, I don't know if they have relegation in French basketball, but like the team might not exist anymore after he leaves. So it was like all built just as a way to get him better ready for NBA basketball. I just, I also just love the fact that they're called the Mets. That's, that's, that's such. Is it like the Mets 96 or something? Mets 92.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Mets 92. Yeah, Mets 92. Okay. 92. Yeah, Met's 92. Okay. I belong me, Levoix. Metropolitan, 92. Sorry for my French. Part of my French.
Starting point is 00:16:52 That was good, Jake. Yeah, that was good. Okay. Because there's all NBA in the news, should we talk about? Let's do Marcus Smart first. Marcus Smart got traded to the Grizzlies. Hank was very sad,
Starting point is 00:17:08 lashed out at Max. The Grizzlies got, or so it was a three-way trade. The Seltos got Christopps. Who went to, did Brogdon go to, no, Brogdon wasn't in it, because he was supposed to be in the Clippers trade that didn't go through. Brogdon screwed it all up. Yeah, because was supposed to be in the Clippers trade that didn't go through. Brogdon screwed it all up.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Yeah, because of medical. So what was the trade exactly? Do you have it in front of you? Marcus Smart is on the Grizzlies, Chris Abses on the Celtics. I don't know the rest of it. There's a couple of picks too. Yeah, the Wizards got... Ah, the Wizards got Gondari.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Oh, they got Tyus Jones too. Tyus Jones, yeah. Tyus Jones, who will be good. Nice end to gondari. I have the Wizards got Gondari. I don't think so. Hank, so you're sad. Yeah, I mean, it's sad, Marcus Smart. When I first started working at Barcel was the 2014 year after he got drafted. When I started paying a lot closer attention, he was on, you know, those bad rebuilding teams, heart and soul of the team. Obviously, it was great watching him through this last run. He never, you know, he was a great player.
Starting point is 00:17:58 I was a great player. I was a great player. I was a great player. I was a great player. I was a great player. I was a great player. I was a great player. I was a great player. I was a great player. I a lot closer attention. He was on those bad rebuilding teams, heart and soul of the team.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Obviously it was great watching him through this last run. He never changed, he never switched up. He was fun to watch. He was, you know, he would drive you nuts sometimes, but you loved watching him. And it's just, it's a good deal. And I don't hate poor Zingas. I think their Celtics are still making more moves.
Starting point is 00:18:24 So that part makes it a little easier to swallow, but it's still sad. Still, you know, it's like a breakup. Yeah, one blow, McCail and Bird, right? Yeah, well, that was a call that I joke to 2014. I actually do empathize with Hank and sympathize with him. I do both, but it always sucks when you lose a fan favorite like that. A guy that buses us all the time, even when it seemed like they didn't have a shot at winning anything through the bad years and he was always like a fun, high energy guy to
Starting point is 00:18:55 watch. That sucks for Hank and for Max. I know that Max loved Marcus Mart. Yeah, you know, the Wizards did get gone are by the way. Yeah, right. I was excited to watch him play this year. Obviously you got hurt and that was like, that's just a little stinger where it's like,
Starting point is 00:19:10 you're kind of hoping like all once we have Gaw and Arre back, we're gonna be sick and then he just never played for a second. Yeah, Gaw and Arre and what's his name? The Italian guy. Muscala, whatever. The, it is always in sports when you lose a guy who, it feels like he cares as much or even more than the fans. That always is like, it's different because.
Starting point is 00:19:32 And. Sorry. Keep going. Yeah, no, it just, it just is different. It just, it, there's a different attachment to a guy like that who, you know, it's, it's a job for a lot of these guys. Obviously they want to win, but like, it always felt like Marcus Smart cared that extra bit and he seemed like a really good dude.
Starting point is 00:19:49 And yeah, you were sad last night. Yeah, there was news that came out today too that basically it was supposed to be bragged in the Celtic stuff. They were gonna trade bragged in the injury physical stuff happened where they kind of had to reassess and make a quick decision. and Marcus Smart barely knew the news so that like kind of sucks Where it's like a guy who gave his heart and soul for the team just kind of gets like sprung on him. He's getting traded And a nice story shout to Marcus smart great guy
Starting point is 00:20:16 He's doing his children's annual children's camp next week and that foundation tweeted like we we texted Marcus Obviously if you wanted to postpone given the recent events, he's like, absolutely not, got to do it for the kids. So just a great dude, sad day. I didn't lash out at all at max. I didn't say anything in factual. He, I was mad, I was upset. And then I was thinking about the show the other day
Starting point is 00:20:37 when fake Celtics fan Max said his favorite player was Marcus Smart and then he got traded. Like I said, he's fat, bad luck Brian with a soul patch, which is true. Like literally everything in his life is the top meme of bad luck Brian. Like says Marcus Smart is favorite player traded next day. Like the fact that I'm not necessarily factual in factual. What's in factual?
Starting point is 00:21:01 In factual. I just looked it up just to tell it's a non This is the definition a non-existent word that no matter how many times you smack someone upside the head trying to correct them They refuse to believe the word is actually the word the word itself is in factual Wait what's what all factual you did you factual? without fact What's, who's an infact? Unfactual. Unfactual. He said infactual. Without fact. I don't know, I don't know. It's inside the fact.
Starting point is 00:21:29 Sure. That infactual, the word is unfactual. You're infactulating. We're not. We're better speaker than us. Yeah, it happens. Yeah, but next. It would hate the fat comment seemed a little bit unnecessary.
Starting point is 00:21:41 That was lashing out. Max, I don't wanna be this guy. Factor fiction. Infactor, infiction. This is- You guys talk about it all day. I'm like, it's the same thing when I say to Big Hat. All you guys talk about is how fat you are.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Then I, a skinny guy, say it. And you guys are like, oh, no, well, there's a tone. There's a, it was a tweet. He's right. There was a tone, gee, or tweet. There's a reason why every response was like whoa What is going on here? Yeah, that's the push that's Twitter. There's just bunch of pussy's If you think if you think that Twitter is Is being a pussy by I don't know what I'm trying to say
Starting point is 00:22:24 is being a pussy by, I don't know what I'm trying to say. Okay, now we got two Titans face it off here. It is a bait. Fuck the RFK doctor debate. We got Hank and Max going toe to toe right now. We're like that wrap from the boxing meme. We're just back to forth. And neither of them are throwing punches. They're just like, we're going,
Starting point is 00:22:43 like no one's landed anything. The comp you box is like, well, Hank used a word that doesn't exist and Max literally can't speak. Max said Twitter is pussy. Where was that going? You think Twitter's pussy? No, it's just that that's a wild thing to say. Be like, oh yeah, Twitter's a bunch way too big of a pussy
Starting point is 00:23:05 is ever called Max Fat. As if that's not like the only response to any picture that's ever tweeted about me. Max isn't that fat. You would have been able to get to step on that hard, if you were. It was more non-saying your fat. I'm just saying, Badluck Brian's smaller.
Starting point is 00:23:18 So like to give people a visual representation when I was talking about it, I just mean an enlarged version of Badluck Brian. Hank was doing a really nice favor for you Max because if you just try to mourn the loss of my favorite player. That's the problem here. Like I got the news, got really upset. I said earlier in the day because PFT was like, Chalin Brown is gonna get traded and he's your favorite player. I'm like, yeah, that does stink. But actually Marcus Smart's my favorite player player and I said that because I mentioned because Marcus
Starting point is 00:23:46 Smart is my favorite player on the Celtics and then I get the news and it's like a slap right across the face And then all of a sudden I'm upset. I'm like about to text Hank be like young man this sucks like you know when you text your boys when like a really bad Bad loss happens. No words. And then all of a sudden it's just, it's just slander. It's insults, it's insults, it's slander. It's not slander. That's it. It's facts.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Your face, Saltics van, and your bad luck Brian. But, but Max, you actually Hank explaining it that way, he was doing your favor. Because if he said you were bad luck Brian without qualifying that you're fatter, people would have replied and been like, he's not bad luck Brian, he's too fat for that. So he was actually helping you getting in front of it. Disagree. And I still am waiting on the apology. Oh, good luck.
Starting point is 00:24:39 Yeah, good luck. That's never happening. I'm waiting on PFT's apology for fucking Leroy. I'm happy you brought that up because I'm not fucking Leroy. I'm happy you brought that up, because that's not fucking Leroy. This isn't, no, this is not, this isn't, I'm not, I think you thought your dog. I don't love fucking dogs. PFT ruined the integrity of this podcast.
Starting point is 00:24:53 We had a million responses being like, you guys don't know ball, this is bullshit. Because he tweeted, jailing Brown's getting traded in a situation that's not even possible. Hank, it actually is possible. And it's Leroy, my dead dog that you're upset with, not me. Okay, Leroy, Leroy, let him sleep. He gets 60% of his scoops right, that's what he does.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Okay, so this might be in the 40%, might be in the 60%, we won't know. Hank just kept yelling at PFT yesterday being like, your dog is dead. You're talking to 10, like your dog died. My dead dog does actually live rent-free in Hank's head. Yeah. I'm so angry.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Whatever. Whatever. You were so mad. I love all you guys. One thing I do know about the Grizzlies though is they're going to have the top team not to be fucked with in terms of just beating the shit out of you. They got Marcus Smart, they got Steven Adams, and they have John Morant who will shoot you on the same team.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Marcus Smart was literally built for Memphis. He is the grit and grind Grizzlies all over again. It's the perfect trade for them. Like he is going to be perfect for them. Yeah, so we're gonna beat the shit out of people next year. They're gonna be fun to watch. All right, other trade, Chris Paul, and maybe the most hilarious twist in the NBA this year,
Starting point is 00:26:09 got traded to the Warriors. And if he does, in fact, stay on the Warriors, which it seems like the Warriors want him to, he is now going to be Steph Curry's backup, a guy who's had beef with for, I don't know, like, six, seven years now. And he might win a ring as Steph Curry's back up, which would be just so, so fitting for Chris Paul. Like, he said that he talked to Steph and he's excited.
Starting point is 00:26:33 There's no way he's excited. He's had, they've gone toe to toe for, it feels like it's like seven, eight years now. And there's just no way he's happy about this. Who on the Warriors is Chris Paul hitting the deck in the past? I know he's landed a couple of muts shots on him, right? I don't know. So there's a couple of things.
Starting point is 00:26:52 There was, there was, so Chris Paul, like, was kind of Steph Curry's mentor when Steph Curry was first in the league. And then Steph Curry became the best player in the league and started winning rings when it was supposed to be Chris Paul's time. We also had the Houston series, both those series back to back. We had member of the famous Chris Paul, laugh, laugh, laugh, face to Steve Kerr. This year,
Starting point is 00:27:22 Steph Curry drove on Chris Paul in a game and scored on him and then started screaming in his face. It's not 2014 anymore. It's not 2014 anymore. We also had in that rocket's warrior, like goes, it's pretty deep warrior, rocket's warrior series. I think it was the second one. Chris Paul denied Steph Curry being able to practice on the court before the game.
Starting point is 00:27:44 And then the warriors won the series and was like, you know, don't like, you know, you're not going to let me on this court. You're not going to let me on this court in the tunnel. And then finally, I think it was in like 2019 or so. Chris Paul was asked to make his perfect point guard. And he went through the list and he picked Gilbert Aurena for shot making. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:03 No, he gamers spec game. So he don't like each other. They do not like each other. And now Chris Paul's going to be his backup. I respect that take. Yeah, Gilbert Aurena, people sleep on Gilbert Aurenaz, just because I was Steph Curry, Steph Curry ruined basketball.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Gilbert Aurenaz just made basketball beautiful. I agree with Chris on that one. But it's gonna be, it's gonna be weird fit. It seems like the Warriors have become a team that's just like on the brink emotionally, recently. Well, Jordan Paul, Dremond. Jordan Paul, Dremond might not come back next year. We don't know what's going on with that.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Jordan Paul getting him out of there. I think that's a great trade for both the Warriors and for the Wizards. Out of great. Because the Wizards need to tank. They should have tanked a year ago before they gave Bradley Beal the no trade clause. They should have started this process of tanking over 12 months ago, but they were run by an idiot and getting Jordan Pool on your team to be the man.
Starting point is 00:28:58 And like, hey, Jordan Pool, we're giving you the keys to the car. These Wizards are going to go as far as Jordan pool will take them. And Jordan pool is gonna average 35 points a game and they're gonna win like zero games next year. It's gonna be beautifully bad basketball to watch. I just wish that this had happened a year ahead of time so that we would have at least been, I guess we were favored at like 55%
Starting point is 00:29:22 to get Wimba Niyama during the draft. But to just tank, get during the draft, but to just tank, get a higher pick, start to rebuild and start to run this team like a competent organization. It's just a year too late. Yeah, it's, yeah, I like it for the Wizards. I actually like it for the Warriors too, because you get the, I mean, Chris Paul is the best pack-up point card in the league. Yeah. Right? He is. Yeah. So he and they cleared a lot of money with Jordan Poole. They traded Ryan Rollins who also clears money so they can get like a you know one of those. I never understand all the exceptions in the NBA. It's like a mid-level you know veteran exception whatever.
Starting point is 00:29:56 It was it was mostly for contract for the Warriors because they only owe Chris Paul money this year and they'll probably restructure it and yeah I mean he is the best backup point card in the leak Yeah, probably yeah, so yeah, maybe not I don't know Rikimu. Yo, no actually the like the argument would be maybe for Tyus Jones who now is gonna be a starter. Yeah, so Yeah, okay, what else we got? Pink Your hand up. I was just on my hand up, but shout out to Ryan Hedve, the breakers player.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Yes, shout out. Do you know his name? I don't. Ryan Rupert. Ryan Rupert. I actually have his jersey. Yeah, we drafted him on the breakers. Mm-hmm. Shout out to every team for being fucking idiots not drafted. Ryan Rupert. I actually have his jersey. Yeah, we drafted him on the breakers.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Shout out to every team for being fucking idiots. He hasn't got drafts in the world. Yeah. Marquis the well. Maybe second round. It's not going to happen, Jake. I've been reading a lot of draft previews and mock drafts and shit. And I haven't seen a single one with Markees. So he's gonna make people pay. Fuckin' love that guy. Summer league. Yes. Okay, other things.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Oh, that college baseball game was incredible. LSU walkoff, Tommy Tanks, what a nickname. And now we have LSU versus Florida in the final. I just, it was one of those things where I was watching the whole game. So I have to comment on it because it was that good. It was, it was an awesome, awesome game. It was like that, uh, that Houston Mariners game
Starting point is 00:31:34 in the playoffs last year. Yeah, yeah. The college baseball is so awesome. I'm so glad that it's going to be LSU Florida, the championship game. It just once again proves that, yeah, okay, you're going to have some fun Cinderella moments where we're like, oh, maybe Orals gonna make it, but it's just the SEC's world and we're living in it. Also, it's so LSU that this happened. They had such a great
Starting point is 00:31:56 moment in sports on the same day that their former football coach had, I forget, like a bunch of wins taken away and had to be vacated for recruiting violations and will wait their former basketball coach got hit with more NCAA punishments. So like two out of three programs right there, big slaps on the wrist. Meanwhile, LSU is like, fuck you, it's Louisiana who cares. Yeah, and this, we actually, oh, write this down. Jake records that will never be broken for Mount Rushmore in the future,
Starting point is 00:32:28 because the Jello Shot record will, because it's a three game series, so it's at least two more games. That will never be touched. LSU fans getting to stay in Omaha for another like four or five days. I don't know when it starts. Like that will never ever be touched.
Starting point is 00:32:43 That's right. I was game one. Talked ribs, CEO of Raising touched. That's a good game. Well, talk to graves, CEO of, of Raising Kings. Hank and I actually got a chance to talk to him at T.E.U. about the Jello shot thing. And he was like, oh, yeah, I saw that board and I called him up and I said, I'll take 5,000 of them. He's 6,000. He got 6,000. No, he said, he said, I'll take 5,000.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Then he heard the record was 5,900. And then he said, I'll take 6,000. Oh, I love it. I love it. Um, should Zuckerberg and Elon fight? That was the other thing I had written down. Uh, yeah. Um, I saw it was it zuck that said drop your location for the fight. Yeah. And I think he's got that shit. Just so we just so everyone knows Elon owns Twitter and Mark Zuckerberg's the guy who didn't get choked out recently. Yeah, they should fight. That's their flames to fame. They should fight on the Cent梨's islands.
Starting point is 00:33:29 And they should show up there and made the best man win. Dana White said that he would put the fight on and he said it would be the highest pay per view of all time because they don't hit all the charity. And I actually, I probably agree, like, it would smash all records and it would probably suck. It would be the worst fight and everyone will tune in to see it. I mean, what they should do
Starting point is 00:33:50 is they should put their companies up. It's like, when, when, when, gets the other dude's social media platform. Swaps, swapsies. Oh no, it just like takes it over. Yeah. They both own it. So like Elon runs, runs Meta, Facebook, whatever. And then Zuck could take over Twitter
Starting point is 00:34:06 Yeah, I like that. I like that. I'm gonna just tap him out You think so you think zuck wins. Elon's a big boy though. He's kind of he loves Loki a haze They're all shusted no, but zuck zuck would just get one of his ligaments because he knows Jiu-Jitsu and it wouldn't be that good unless Elon's an insane striker and he keep them off him. But I don't think that's the truth. Billy, Elon is like a pretty big dude, right? Yeah, but... He also would get...
Starting point is 00:34:35 He'd be big time on the gear. I think he's on a Zem Pick, but that doesn't help with fighting. Sure. That's true, but you don't think he would just do a shitload of steroids before this fight. He absolutely would. He might, but that doesn't help with technique. I mean, Brock Lesnarvers, Frank Mir,
Starting point is 00:34:54 like Frank Mir tapped him out the first time. That's what it's gonna be like. Okay, how are you? How are you? Just got choked out. Yeah, he's not like good at Jiu Jitsu. He's just a billionaire. He pays shitty people. just got choked out. Yeah, he's not like good at jujitsu. He just he's just a billionaire. He
Starting point is 00:35:11 he pays shitty people. Yeah, the learning curve on jujitsu is like Zuckerberg's been through, like he knows how to swim, like he knows how to tap a guy out. Well, no, he knows how to drown. But he's tapped other guys out. He's tapped other guys out. I watched all of his film. He like unfortunately, I took your mobile phone. I sifted, I sifted through all of it.. Like, unfortunately, I took your work for it. I sifted, I sifted through all of it. That's why I do. So to find the good stuff and like, he's tap dudes out. Could you beat up Mark Zuckerberg? I'm going to be honest.
Starting point is 00:35:40 I mean, jujitsu guys can like take your pinky and make you tap. He's been like to all does that. Yeah like it's that it's that type of thing. So unless Elon's doing tons of jujitsu in the meantime it's not gonna be that good of a fight unless Elon gets one lucky hit on him and knocks him out. Okay well either way I want to see it I really want to see it it would it would definitely be one of those paper views I buy, and then I would be very upset that I bought it. Do you think, I mean, I probably,
Starting point is 00:36:10 do you think, what do you think the celebrity attendance would be like, would it be treated like a paper view, big boxing fight, or would it be like weirdos? It would be nerds, a lot of nerds would be there. But celebrities, their employees would show up in droves just to prove that they backed the boss. If they didn't Vegas, would there be a list celebrities there? Yes. At least at least a handful. Yes. Yeah. Octavius, you would go. Definitely. That's as a list as it gets. Also one last thing before we get to
Starting point is 00:36:45 George Kittle and our Mount Rushmore famous football plays I think that on Monday's show so I've listened to some feedback. It is baseball season. I think everyone needs to come with one hot take about baseball season on Monday's show. Okay. Great. One hot take and we'll do a baseball, you know, little, little like just recap of everything. Hot take on whatever's going on in the baseball season. We do, by the way, also have our baseball draft coming up July 3rd, which we've already taped.
Starting point is 00:37:18 So we will be talking baseball then. And it's technically our baseball preview. Yeah, that is our baseball preview because we learned a lot of names in that draft, but I think one hot take from everyone on Monday show in the baseball world will be good. I think the bases need to be bigger. Nope, save it.
Starting point is 00:37:35 They're not big of it. Save it, save it. They're almost there. They're so close. Save it, save it. All right, should we get to George Kittle? Yeah, let's get to George. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:47 Love George. He's brought to you by Chevy Trucks, our great friends over at Chevy Trucks. Chevy is strong, it's capable, and it's able to produce, it's versatile, it's dependable. And like a few of the tight ends at tight end university, Silverado is coming off an awesome year. Pick up, do you know what they were ranked?
Starting point is 00:38:04 Were they the number three best selling retail full size pickup? Mm, I'm gonna say at least two. Were they number two? No, they were number one. They were number one. They were the best selling retail full size pickup, but winners, they don't take a playoff. Same with Silverado, Chevy just debuted the new Silverado HD.
Starting point is 00:38:23 It's got even more power, enhanced interiors and smarter technology, all offering the legendary Duramax engine and Allison transmission. All that modern tech, just like the 1500 Silverado comes with a dependability and longevity. Chevy trucks are famous for. I absolutely love the Chevy Silverado. Again, it got us all the way across the country. No problems. It was a great drive. I love driving this got us all the way across the country. No problems.
Starting point is 00:38:45 It was a great drive. I love driving this truck. Super easy to take on the highway, great to use on the back roads. We used it in the snow. I don't know if we, do we tell this on, on the show one time? We were in Amarillo, Texas getting back from dinner one night and it was snowing, it was snowing in Texas. And we pulled into a parking lot where a hotel was, there was a truck that was not a Silverado that was stuck in the snow, trying to get out of the parking lot. We'd cruise right by him, totally emasculated the guy.
Starting point is 00:39:16 We had to get out of our Silverado and then push their truck to get it out of the snow. Meanwhile, the Silverado just cruise right through it. It's a great truck. Go to Chevy.com, learn more, snow. Meanwhile, the Silverado just cruised right through it. It's a great truck. Go to Chevy.com, learn more, Chevy.com, learn more. And now here's George Kittle. Oh! Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very,
Starting point is 00:39:36 very special guest. It is our longtime friend, George Kittle. We are in his workout facility in Nashville. Tight end you, let's start there. Tight end you, this is what you're three. You're three. And it is getting big. You guys have official merch.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Yeah, we do. How many tight ends are coming? 75 to 85, somewhere in there. I got a couple of texts last night of guys. Like, hey, I forgot to sign up guys, they'll show up. I'm like, yeah, for sure here's a number Texas person. They'll take care of it for you.
Starting point is 00:40:06 So what has it been successful in the fact that are we getting tight ends more money now? Do you think that it's work that way? And also you should have worked in a deal where you get like a part of everyone's contract. This is just something we can give free. That's not a bad idea. That's free business advice.
Starting point is 00:40:22 It is free business advice. Yeah, year three, I do think, uh, I think Titan play has definitely increased. I think guys are taking tips, uh, and learning from it. I'm very excited about this year. We have, um, Gronk's come in this year to teach stuff. He's very excited about it. And then Jordan Reed is coming to teach releases. Oh, I'm very excited about that.
Starting point is 00:40:43 He's got a great release. I know he's got great releases. And I don't know if we can all do the things that he did, but to see releases. Oh, I'm very excited about that, too. He's got a great release. I know, he's got great releases. And I don't know if we can all do the things that he did, but to see him like coach those up, I'm pretty excited about Travis is doing two different classes on why he, like a basic route, you know, a 12 year old in route, and why he runs it differently versus cover four,
Starting point is 00:40:58 cover three man coverage. And so he's gonna teach us why he does the things that he does. That'll be pretty interesting, listen to. I'm talking gap scheme and outside zone. Pretty nice. You know, just set the tone. Well, is there anything that you guys have
Starting point is 00:41:10 that you don't want to share with the other side? It's like special sauce. It's like, no, this belongs to Kittle. I don't want to share with you guys. No, I'm like, I might not say everything, but if guys ask me questions, like, there's nothing I'm gonna hide from people. Like, you can, I'll, I want to give you the tools to be a successful Titan because at the end of the
Starting point is 00:41:27 day, if all Titan play is elevated, we're all going to do better off from you. Can you, can you create the perfect Titan based on attributes of players that are currently playing right now? If you were to build, like, put different body parts, different skillsets together, what is, what is the Voltron of Titans look like? Oh, how many tight ends you get? You want oh, yeah, heart. Okay. I'll give you I'll give you body parts and then you can say all right cool. It's his heart Who's heart who's heart can we end with that one? Okay, I end with heart That might be the most important brain brain Smart's out there. I think I'd go with Kelsey just because like, you know, him and my homes is like a tag team.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Like, you get part of my home's brain with Kelsey. I was asked like Kelsey when he gives his presentation is the first part of his presentation, like get Patrick Mahomes to 30 the ball. That was he, because that would be like the first two years he said, he was like, you know what, don't always listen to what your coach is saying,
Starting point is 00:42:21 just kind of go play football. Then he was like, you know what, you guys don't really have the freedom that I have. And you also, yes, you don't have Patrick. So do what you're supposed to do, but here are some tips. If you do get off scripted, not scheduled. Groan, the same way being like, biggest tip for your career is fine-tomb radiant, be on his team.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Be on his team and then have decent water, sheavers around you so you can get one-on-one coverage throughout the middle. Yeah, and that was a good time. So Brain Kelsey, I think I'd go just Kelsey because like he sees coverage is like listening to him talk about coverage and stuff. It's pretty awesome. Like he's not just out there messing around.
Starting point is 00:42:52 Like he actually has a plan going into every single play for like different coverage and stuff, which is pretty cool. Not everybody does that. All right, Brain, let's see, feet. Feet. Ooh, Evan Ingram. Okay. Yeah, nice and fast, explosive Ingram. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Yeah, nice and fast explosive guy. Yeah. What about hands? Hands. Um, I'll give you Mark Anders. Okay. Okay. I boy can catch it all.
Starting point is 00:43:14 That's a good answer. Thank you. He loves Lamar Jackson's balls. He does. Now, he talked about that. He's a huge fan of Lamar's balls. He's been throwing great balls all the OTAs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:22 You like, you like Brock's balls? Uh, I do love. Yeah. They're, they're great balls. He throws great balls. What about lefty? Oh, dude, I don't know what it is lefty's surges. It's awkward. I don't know how people catch it. But yeah, what about Brock lefty? Oh, he should have, you know, I he I did ask him first a vote. He is I was like, Hey, we work on that left arm. He was like, actually, I was the whole off season. I got really
Starting point is 00:43:41 bored. So I just started throwing the ball left hand. I was like, Hey, well, where's set for, you know for any playoff run. A quick detour. Yeah. When that happened in that game in the NFC Championship game, I would imagine your brain at the beginning, you're like, all right, we can figure this out. And then at what point you're like, yeah, we're fucked.
Starting point is 00:43:59 When Josh got his concussion and was gone, even though it was was 21 to seven, but we had just completely converted like a third and 14, we're on like the 40 yard line. I was like, all right, let's get like 20 more yards, kick a field, well it's 21 to 10. And then like we have the best defense in NFL. And we'll see what happens. And then once he got hurt and then I saw a Brock jog back. I was like, he can't throw a ball.
Starting point is 00:44:19 Oh my God. It's gotta be the worst feeling. Just be like, well, this kind of sucks. Well, it's like I'm sitting there and there's 11 guys in the box. Like they're pressed man on the wide receivers and then they just have nine other guys, six yards off the line of scrimmage.
Starting point is 00:44:32 I'm like, well, it doesn't really matter how good your run game is. It doesn't matter how good Trent Williams is or like how good I am. Like there's just nothing you can really do. It is what it is. He started getting the arm warmed up. Did you just throw a couple spirals
Starting point is 00:44:44 and you're like, hey, I'm maybe the baby. I was like, Christian has this. You know, we had a YCV or a John, uh, John Jennings, he, you know, he was a in high school. He was like the fourth quarterback on rivals rankings. Oh, wow. In his class. Why was he playing? Um, you know what, the NFL, I'll say, it's not like college or high school. You just put your best athlete back there and say, hey, you just go be great kid. It's like the NFL like the game planned for it's pretty good. Yeah, to know the place. Yeah, that's also a few variables that go into it. That's a very fan like brain of us because we forget sometimes
Starting point is 00:45:14 that like everyone on an NFL field was like the best ever like for their high school and could play every position. So like, why wouldn't he? Yeah, why wouldn't he be the he could be incredible? I would put I would put Trent Williams in a quarterback and just been like run forward play every position. So like, why wouldn't he? Yeah, why wouldn't you? He could be the, he could be incredible. I would have put, I would have put Trent Williams in a quarterback and just been like run forward just every play. He's just quarterback power every day. Yeah. Yeah. That would have been awesome. All right. What about toughness? Me. Yes. That's me. Yes. Toughness. I don't know if we ever, we ever talked to you about that play against the Saints. Oh, no. What's up? That play ruled. Thank you. So for people who don't remember, it was the end of the game.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Was it fourth down? Fourth and two. We have fourth and two. And George got caught a pass. And then basically just bullied the entire Saints secondary. It did. Like throwing them off them, it looked like a like a Jerry Brookheimer film where you're just explosions everywhere.
Starting point is 00:46:02 That's fine. When you when you finish that play, could you see in their eyes, like you're just the alpha on the field in that moment. I totally blacked out. I was like, I was so, I hate when people grabbed my face mask and I was just like, that happened, I threw them off, I landed, dude landed on my leg and I just got up and I was like, King Kong on my chest.
Starting point is 00:46:23 And after that too, because I think we had like 76 snaps as an offense and I took 76 snaps. And I knew we were in full range. I just like put my hand up and I was like, I'm done. Like, game, I've done my job. I've done my job. Get me off the field.
Starting point is 00:46:34 Like, get me the next week. I'm tired. Like, we're done with this. And then like, I didn't realize how cool it was really to like watch a replay. And I was like, yeah, it was pretty sick. Yeah, it was really sick. That was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:46:44 I like it when you laugh during plays. When you're like just punching guys in the chest and you're just laughing at it. I watched your replay and I was like, yeah, it was pretty sick. It was really sick. That was pretty cool. I like it when you laugh during plays, when you're just punching guys in the chest and you're just laughing at it. Having fun. What about strength? Strength. Ooh, that's a good one.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Let's see. Strongest Titan right now. Darren Waller would be pretty cool, but I kind of want to save him for speed, because he's speed. He's gonna probably be speed strength though. Is strength an explosiveness be the same? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's go Darren Waller then.
Starting point is 00:47:17 Okay, okay, okay, yeah, so he has speed and strength. Speed and strength. And then maybe you could do an extra strength who can lift the most. Ooh, I think pound for pound, I might be up there. For strongest. What do you squat in these days? I front squat, like, 450.
Starting point is 00:47:31 It's not that much. I know. I could be better. What about bench? I just got eyes. What do you bench in? I had a 275 banded bench today. It was nice.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Good warm up. Yeah, it was just a warm up. Yeah, it was nice. Just a quick warm up. I saw Trent Williams, his warm up on an incline bench press was 315 one time. She is. Are you scared of Trent Williams?
Starting point is 00:47:51 Like he seems like the number one guy in the NFL that you don't want to fuck with. Yes, but because he's on my team, he's super nice. And he makes my job so much easier. Like he's, I in my opinion, he's the best football player in the NFL. Like it's him, Aaron Donald, and like Nick Bosses, pretty close.
Starting point is 00:48:09 Mahomes is up there, but like, I think Trill Williams is like by far on a playing field by himself. I like that, right? Yeah, are you, are you as excited as we are when they put him in motion? And he's like, okay, Trent Williams is gonna be the lead blocker on this play. And he's got a seven yard head start.
Starting point is 00:48:22 Well, it's fun too, because I'm the tight and he's running at. And so like if you look like back in our playoff game versus the Packers, he smoked the defense event end to me. And then they both landed on top of me. And I was just happy. I was like, wow, that had to have looked really cool. Like, what a fun play. Chant Williams in motion.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Yeah. Like, and then I think, you know, someday we'll get a pass off of it too. Hit him in the flat. Like, how, like, who's that? Was that Penny's tool with the last? Yes, yes, to win the game. Yes. Like how cool. Like, hopefully we can do that. Hit him in the flat. Who's that? Was that Penny's tool with the line? Yes, to win the game. Yes. Like how cool.
Starting point is 00:48:47 Like hopefully we can do that with Trent's at the point. What about liver? Who's got the best liver? Who's the hardest part? Who? Travis. Yeah. Travis or Mark?
Starting point is 00:48:55 They're both pretty talented. What about blocking? That's you. Yeah, I'll take blocking. Or if you like a guy that just retired, like Luke Stocker, Tennessee vet, he was a fantastic blocker as well. Or Nick Boyle. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:10 Thick boy. Yeah. Heart. We want to do heart. We want to tie that. Heart. I think all tight ends have great heart, man. I think it's just like,
Starting point is 00:49:18 do that. Do that. Does every tie didn't have great heart? I think the majority of us do. I'm gonna just take a contrarian stand. I think I brought this up to you last year. Is the Titan position becoming too flashy? You guys have your own camp, you have your own holiday?
Starting point is 00:49:33 We do have a holiday. Kind of a look at me type thing, huh? Well, has the Titan position ever been looked at? I think it's always been like under the bridge. Like, ah, he's just a guy. I mean, like, this is my take on it. Is Travis Kelsey is either first or second behind Devonta Adams with most receiving yards in the last six years.
Starting point is 00:49:50 And he's pays half of what the best wider receivers are paid. And so that kind of seems like it's just water in the bridge. Like, ah, like, he's just supposed to that he plays tight end. And then you don't really get a lot of attention and stuff. And I don't think a lot of like NFL fans, unless you're looking at your NFL team with no very many tight ends, the NFL besides the top three or four maybe.
Starting point is 00:50:08 That's probably true. Yeah. I also think tight ends, they are the most, they're the pinnacle of football players and that they do everything. Yeah, I get a run block, I get a pass block, pass pro on defensive ends, I get to run routes on linebackers,
Starting point is 00:50:20 nickel safeties, trade burden through a touchdown pass and the super bowl. I get reverses, I get to run the ball. Like you get to really do everything and no other position to do that. So we talk about a lot of tight ends that take a lot of pride in the run blocking. What about the pass protection? Who's the best pass protecting tight ends? Me.
Starting point is 00:50:38 Yeah. It comes to blocking. I'm like, I'll do my own horn. I mean, like, that's the stuff I like, I practice that stuff my entire off season. I take all the reps in season. Like, I'm very prideful when do my own horn. I mean, that's the stuff I like. I practice that stuff my entire off season. I take all the reps in season. Like, I'm very prideful when it comes to that stuff. And like, I'm very, when it's like second down and they're like, hey, it's past 15 week,
Starting point is 00:50:53 you're one on one versus a, you know, Cam Jordan, you're one on one versus TJ Wat, go for it. I'm like, I'm not like, yeah, like, hey, he gets paid millions of dollars to rush the passer. Yeah. But I look at as an opportunity for me to be like, you're not going to be able to get past me. And I'm very excited about that.
Starting point is 00:51:07 So I actually think you could play every position on the field. I think you could be a weight on, but I think you could be a good defense of end if you wanted to do. I would love to play outside linebacker. Get up to like two 65 and just set the edge. He's so much. Yeah. If he's so much fun.
Starting point is 00:51:20 That's, I mean, that's how much he loves football. He's trying to play every position. Dude, four or a couple, Dude, force a couple fumbles. Like, uh huh. I see. I've always said, like, if you give me like five, third down past rushes against the right tackle, I don't want to go against trip Williams.
Starting point is 00:51:33 I don't think I'd win that, but I feel like I'd win at least one. Yeah. All right. So I want to tell a quick story. I think we've told this on part of my take before, but you are, you hold a very special place in our heart because you're a true, like, part of my take before, but you are, you hold a very special place in our heart because you're a true like part of my take guest, like great story where we were at 49ers camp.
Starting point is 00:51:51 You're rookie year. We interviewed Joe Staley and after the interview, he's like, Hey, we got this rookie who's like a big fan. You guys take a picture with him and we're like, fuck, we'll, yeah, of course. We love the fans. Yeah. We'll take a picture. It turns out to be George Kittle. We then start, we like watch, we're like, wait, we'll do half core. We love the fans. We'll take a picture, turns out to be George Kittle. We then start, we watch, we're like, wait,
Starting point is 00:52:09 is that the guy who is a huge fan? Because we're thinking, oh, this guy, he's at the end of the roster, like, nice job. You made the NFL, could end up being the best tight end in the league. And you've been a fan ever since, you've been the same guy ever since. In terms of your career, so what year are you?
Starting point is 00:52:27 A seven? Seven. Seven. Go to your seven. How are you feeling like, are you, do you feel as good as you did then? Are you starting to feel the miles? Are you like, let's get a status check on your mentors
Starting point is 00:52:40 and where you are with your NFL career? I was actually super pumped. I finished this season at the health, as a healthiest I've ever with your NFL career. I was actually super pumped. I finished this season as a healthiest I've ever been in my career. Like I didn't have to do any type of tweaks. Like I didn't have to rehab anything. The healthiest I've ever been. So like I was able to start training right
Starting point is 00:52:55 when I wanted to start training. They had to hold on thing back. I was running routes. So like right now, yes, is there definitely more mileage than there was? For sure. And like you can feel that and there's things I do to help with that.
Starting point is 00:53:06 I'm big into stem cells. I do a lot of rehab, and I'm always preparing for stuff like that. And I'm always preparing for the 17 game season. This is the best I've ever felt. So I'm just looking to continue to level up my game and try to be better out there. Okay. I like that one little note though. And this might be just because we're looking for
Starting point is 00:53:25 because we consider you a friend and we're like, you know, actively rooting for you on Sundays. For sure. You do, it feels like lead the league in little like tweak injuries that look like you're gonna be out forever. Two. So if you could maybe like start doing a quick thumbs up
Starting point is 00:53:40 just so because I don't know how many times that happened in the gambling cave were like, oh, fuck. That's an MCL, fuck. Kiddles out. God damn it. This sucks. So you probably goes find my tweets where I'm like please be okay. Please be okay. I should have a couple of those. You posted on there like George. I hope you're okay. It's just a screenshot of my knee bent. Yeah. Yeah. So like that was actually insane. Yeah. That was the end of 2021. Yeah. I mean, need like some kind of sign you can give us where it's like we don't have to worry. I only missed one plan. I can't very bad. I know that's the thing. Like what we we see
Starting point is 00:54:10 like he's done. It's over and then you're right back in there. No, maybe just a thumbs up. Okay, if that ever happens I'll just be sure to give you one of these. Yeah, but you're quick one. I feel like you do that every time regardless of what I'm always doing. If it was an ACL, you'd be like, I'm glad. I'm good. We say that you get to the side, you have like the halo tattoo. We say that you get to the sidelines and you just hit yourself with a stem kit and you're like, okay, I'm back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Yeah. Maybe do a thumb sideways. So that way, we know, but the other team is like, oh, George's in feeling good, thumb sideways. Because you know, we'll know, we're like, he's good to go.
Starting point is 00:54:44 I do that. Yeah, I throw that up one time. Yeah. I'm actually sideways. I'm actually shocked that you turned out to be as good an NFL player as you are because you're a big fan of part of my take. I always think that like players that spend too much time listening to our shithead thoughts about football eventually one of our dumb ideas is going to creep into their brain and then that's just D-ray house their entire career. No, like my favorite thing is on Monday's, yeah, Monday's when you do the rundown, right? Yeah. Yeah, I drive into work. I listen to the rundown. It's one of my favorite parts of the day. Yeah, but yeah, that does. That
Starting point is 00:55:12 is a red flag. He should be in his playbook, not listening to you guys. I should be studying my place because there's no game plan on Monday. You're on a right half facts against the wall. I love that one player with fan still players like what is he doing out like at a bar? He should be reading his playbook. How much time do you actually spend reading a playbook? Well, like weekly, we install on Wednesdays and Thursdays and Fridays. Like those are our three install days.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Wednesday be in the heaviest day and then Thursdays, third downs, Friday's red zone. So it's like, I look at it on Wednesday. We do walk through, we do practice. I review it that night. Thursday to this like Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, you'd never see me out like dinner and like that cause I study and watch and film and you don't even eat.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Yeah, I stuffed my face. I definitely do that. But like Monday's and Tuesday's, no, like I might watch some tape but like there's no game plan yet. Like Shanahan's in the cave, creating, yeah, doing it. Whatever he's doing. How many, how many different variations
Starting point is 00:56:02 off one single run play has Kyle? Like what's the most? It's infinite. I'm not really yeah like we can we have a play It's like eight like you could call it I write I write clamp 18 Zoro and we can run that like out of 50 plus formations and motions and all this stuff like we We really got into like last year's like we do all these motions where it'll look like it's a 3x1, 3 receivers and one guy on the right, and then we'll do a motion and the fullback row of the right. Then all of a sudden, it's a 3x1 on the opposite side and it changes all the responsibilities
Starting point is 00:56:34 for the defensive guys. It makes them all think, now the nickel, instead of having the D gap, now he has the B gap, but once we get three guys over there, now he has the opposite A gap. We're just trying to confuse guys out there because as soon as the defense a guy is out of a gap, oh, there's Christian McAfry for 70 yards. Yeah. So Christian McAfry credit to us, we said that he was the Niners for the one place we want to see him go.
Starting point is 00:56:56 Yeah. So we were actually ahead of pretty much everyone. When he said that, I'm curious when did you say that? We said that, but it was like two weeks before he got traded. Yeah. 2019 I wrote, are we traded jerseys and I run as Jersey? I was like, I'll see you soon. we said that but it was like two weeks before he got traded yeah, 2019 I wrote Are we traded jerseys and I run as Jersey? I was like I'll see you soon. Oh, that's awesome I've been speaking into existence. That's like a dream board. Oh, yeah
Starting point is 00:57:12 He will be together you will be Christian. I know I was playing call duty and all of a sudden One of my buddies like hey, dude. Did you see we just you just traded for christmas cafe? I was like What yeah, look to my phone Adam. I was yeah, I think eunuch app forry and I was like, what? Yeah. Looks at my phone. Adam thought I was, yeah, I think either app for tweeted about I was like, this is a, I call him instantly. I was like, are you kidding me? So when you, when he came, was it instant where you're like, this is, because it really was like Kyle Shanahan's run game and then supercharged with a guy like Christian McAfry.
Starting point is 00:57:38 Well, he can just, he can run all receiver routes. Right. He can, Larry, go out there and run like a 10 year out out route. And you can throw in the ball. He's got the steps down. He's got the angle down. Like he can run in your hour. Like, what thing we were doing, too. It's like, we'd hold a whole concept to the right. And on the backside, we just have like, it's called like a chip choice. And so Christian would chill, like hang, it's called chill. So he'd
Starting point is 00:57:57 chill for a second, see if there's any blitzes. And if there's not, he just run up and run a choice route on the one guy that's left, which is a Mike Lymebacker. Right. Just break it down. Yeah. Good luck. Yeah. And then they double cover him and then the route concepts always open because they don't have enough guys to cover us. And it's like that was a big part of our offense late in the years. Just like him running choices on the backside and us doing fun stuff on the front. Okay. It's fun to watch. Yeah. It is pretty cool. Yeah. It's it's very fun. He also just adds to the list of dudes that the Niners have. You guys have the most dudes. Yeah. Besides, let's take out Trent because he is the number one dude in the NFL. Yeah. Who's the biggest dude? Like, easy. Yeah. Boss is incredible. Like I said, it's like Trent and Bossa. And then I think like Fred's,
Starting point is 00:58:37 like he's a fantastic football player. Like he's like the heartbeat of our defense. Like the reason that we're so good. Like we fly around like we do, it's supposed to be because of Fred. Um, then I'd put myself up there. I know, like, well, I think one guy that you guys are going to love the watch is I yuked this brand and I yuked. Yep. Holy cow. Like, he was cooking our defense all of OTAs. Yeah. It was so fun to watch. You know, he's very underrated because everyone talks about D-Bow. Yeah. It's like, we're also, we have like six mouths to feed on our offense. And so like, if he was in an offense where he was the number one choice and got 12 targets a game He probably have 1400 yards and 15 touchdowns. Yeah, he's fantastic. We were talking to coach McDaniel a couple weeks ago
Starting point is 00:59:14 He's awesome awesome guy best not a vapor. He was not the I saw that yeah Something in the past is a vape pretty quit. Yeah, he didn't know the technology that we said I was like a different life Right, yeah, yeah, It was a long time ago. Totally never do it again. But he was he was sharing about how how he would get the the buy in and how Kyle gets the buy in on offense for everybody. We always say like on the Niners, everybody is kind of deputized as an offense alignment or a tight end if you're a receiver.
Starting point is 00:59:39 You basically have to be able to do some tight end stuff. Yes. And he he gets everybody he does the clips of the best run plays. Yes. And he makes the entire team watch them. So this, everybody feels that peer pressure to want to be the next dude that goes out there and blocks. Is that, has that been like a key factor in making everybody want to do all that dirty work
Starting point is 00:59:58 that sometimes you know, a receiver probably rather catch a touchdown, you play somebody out? And so like, it's, it's crazy because like you expect everybody to block, like if you watch like run games and stuff like that, you'll somebody out. And so like, it's crazy, because like you expect everybody to block, but like if you watch like run games and stuff like that, you'll see, I know that again, some like some guys just don't run block that, that's just not in their repertoire. But like when you see like an extra seaver go out
Starting point is 01:00:14 and dig out a safety right before he makes a tackle and it adds 15 yards or a touchdown to the run, like you're like, hey, I want to do that too. And I didn't really see that until 2019, we traded for a manual Sanders. And he came in and he's not a big dude by any means. And he was digging out safety, he's left and right. And then he was also scoring touch-ons and stuff.
Starting point is 01:00:31 And like, if you do the run blocking stuff and you run good routes, Cower rewards you. And that's like the kind of the cool thing too. It's like, so yes, what you're saying is like, he shows in front of the whole team because it's like, you set the standard. And then you're not going to get on the field unless you do this. And if you're kind of a wimp in the run game or you don't give a lot of effort, hey, well, we can't trust you. And if we can't trust you just, hey, you're one rule on this as a dig out the safety and
Starting point is 01:00:51 you can't do that. And why would I trust you to run like a double move go ball and score a touchdown? Yeah. So it's like, it's kind of like earning your stripes is being good in the run game. I saw a interview did where you said that sometimes Kyle will run a run play that is like Designed to fail just to set up play action later. Yes, so you know the ones that are like Like I'm psych I don't it's like it leaves me like one-on-one backside inside of Inside zone versus a defensive end who's crashing the C gap
Starting point is 01:01:22 I'm like this isn't gonna work or's like, I have to pull an insert. And it's just like to get the line back, you step up, line back, you step up, and then we'll run it. We're like a slight right behind it to Debo. And like Debo catching the ball at full speed, running. Good luck. Yeah, good luck.
Starting point is 01:01:35 Yeah, good luck. And so it's like, we just, we run these run plays, just just bring everybody up. And then you give Debo space versus two guys. Like, I'm gonna take Debo. Yeah, yeah. That's just so funny, the idea of like, wasting play. No, yeah, knowing that, but the reward is there.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Yeah, and it's like, and sometimes like those plays do pop sometimes, like they're like, hey, like, it's not like we're not going into it for the intention of this. Trying to fail, yeah. Trying to fail, but it's just like, hey, if this goes for two yards, it's okay because the first player, the third quarter,
Starting point is 01:01:59 we're gonna run the pass playoff of it and they're gonna all step up because I think they've seen it three times. Uh oh, 75 yarder. Yeah. It's pretty cool. That is actually like next level football coach. Yeah. I don't think I'm released any cigarettes because you can just watch the tape. Yeah. Well, it also you don't know when it's gonna happen. No. And like you don't know which play is the one that's, you know. And like there's games that we don't do that. But like I remember like we were playing the card and we were really like some gap scheme play where like you have two pullers and it went for one yard
Starting point is 01:02:22 and went for a minute of one yard and went for negative two yards and we're in the past and it was a touchdown. I was like, ah, that's why we do it. Yeah, Kyle, you can be like, oh yeah, that was that was one of the wasted plays. Yeah, a play doesn't work out. It's like, oh yeah, I meant to do that. Yeah, I'm just kidding. Just kidding guys. No, I mean, people came around. You saw that. I just got goofed. I mean, people can watch the, you know, all 22 all they want, but Kyle's still calling the plays and when he calls it, you don't know. That's like, that's what's cool too,
Starting point is 01:02:48 because we always come out like the night for the game, we have like, with like, like every team does, it's like your openers, like these are the plays that we run, want to run in the first quarter, like to set the tone. And we have 24, and they're just like his 24 favorite plays. And we usually stay on script for like the first eight to 10, it's like, and that's like, it's third down,
Starting point is 01:03:04 and we'll call a third down play, obviously. But like, you for like the first eight to 10. It's like, and that's like it's third down and we'll call a third down play obviously. But like, you'll get through like eight to 10 of those. And then after that, it's just like, okay, whatever he's vibing with. Yeah. And like, okay, well, this outside zone works. So let's try another variation of this outside zone to see if they haven't seen it yet.
Starting point is 01:03:17 I always thought, and this might be very dumb, but there's no dumb questions. There's no dumb questions. I never understood like if a team is really good with their opening script, just run it in reverse. Just be like one through 15 and then just 15 through one. You're not wrong. They won't be able to figure it out.
Starting point is 01:03:34 You're not wrong at all. And then just do it again. And just go back the other way. Just keep six. That would make it way easier. I don't have to know 15 players as opposed to 100. Yeah, just one 15 plays so well that they can't stop it. There's something about that where you just want to let your players play at their highest
Starting point is 01:03:47 level and not think at all. Yeah. Do you guys ever do the thing where you run the same play like 10 times in a row, different variations of it, just to like take the soul out of the other team. Um, in we've had a couple games like we've had two games versus Seattle Seahawks where we ran like power load Five straight times to win the game. Yeah, and we didn't change anything. We just later on Like two tight ends cow use check in a wing and we just ran power down these guys throats And it was one of the most satisfying moments of my career. Yeah, I love it whenever that happens
Starting point is 01:04:19 Oh, it is but like yeah, but we do have plays where it's like it's the exact same play But like it's a different motion or it's a mildly different formation So it looks different and it could be a different play, but oh just kidding. It's the same exact play Yeah, we've been gasping you up a lot today. We've been we've been talking a lot of uh, we're doing a promo for you essentially here Are you about to humble me? I'm gonna humble. No, I'm gonna ask you to humble yourself I think that's the most important trait that you can have for sure as a football player You've never you never truly arrived. You know, there's always something you can improve on. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:46 When was the last time you got got? And when was the last time somebody just ate your lunch? Ooh. Dude, JJ Watts last game of his career, like we're playing the cardinals. And like, you know, JJ can just do whatever he wants to do except they dare and reveal. For sure.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Yeah. Like he's in a five techniques, like it's in between For sure. Like, he's in a five techniques, so like, it's in between me and Trent Williams. He's in that gap. And we get to the line of scrims and like, he's looking at me and me and Trent are talking and like, we're calling out our call. And like, Jay-Jay looks at me and goes,
Starting point is 01:05:16 you're in a gap scheme again, aren't you? And I was like, no, no. And this guy takes like one step, I go to get him. He just hits me in the back of the head, throws me the ground, swim move. And luckily, my other tied in, like kind of caught him on get him he just hits me in the back of the head throws me the ground swim move And luckily my other tied in like kind of caught him on the hip he didn't make the tackle But he did it to me like three times that game and he was like I still got it. I was like Do anything you want man like relax?
Starting point is 01:05:36 He's a real axe man. She'll We said happy birthday to my grandma. So it was totally fine. Oh, that's so Jay. Jay that's so Jay. Jay. Just beat the shit I mean be like also I'd like to wish your grandmother I have a good, you know, you're the special. He was like, oh, hey, I was like, oh, that's all right. Come on, Jay, Jay. No, so it was, it was fun though. Playing Jay, Jay in his last game was pretty sick.
Starting point is 01:05:54 Yeah, that is sick. Okay, so, Celison Brock party, because what do you want me to say? Well, he was a, like, much debated topic of really is he good or is it the system because you have to say you have to make Kyle Shanahan does coach in a way that most quarterbacks would have success. Sure. Was there a moment maybe a play a game where you're like no, this isn't just the system. Brock Purti actually is a guy. Honestly, his first game, we're playing Miami, Jimmy gets hurt. He, uh, Purti comes in and Miami decided to zero blitz us like five straight times and it was his first third down in. They ran cover zero.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Two guys completely free and he hit me like on it was third and seven. Yeah. Hit me on a perfect play right down the middle. And I was like, all right, you can play a little bit. And then the next three down, they did it again and he hit like Debo on a third and seven, hit me on a perfect play right down the middle. And I was like, all right, you can play a little bit. And then the next three down, they did it again. And he hit like Dibo on a play. And I was like, all right, like, and sitting and cover zero and being able to hit the night.
Starting point is 01:06:53 And we're telling you like, hey, this is the covers. You're out to hit this guy. But to be able to step up in a pocket, knowing that you're about to get hit by a blitzing Mike linebacker and there's nothing you can do about it, that takes some balls. I remember that. I remember that sequence. And I was like, I think he can actually play at this level. And there's like a back and forth give and take that you have to do
Starting point is 01:07:09 because yeah, he's playing in a great system, a system that's quarterback friendly, but also like no disrespect to Iowa. They don't score a lot of touchdowns on all. Iowa State. Oh, Iowa State. Sorry, that's my brother. My mistake.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Yeah, the state of Iowa doesn't score. Yeah, so not entirely wrong there. Yeah, yeah. No, but like, I think one of the coolest things with Brock is that like, you can just kind of see his savviness in the pocket too. Like, he's got really good pocket awareness. Like, he's, he played 48 games in college.
Starting point is 01:07:37 So like, he knows how to play the quarterback position. Yeah, Brocktober, every, every October, he would be awesome. Yeah, so it's like, and then another thing I love about Brock is like quarterback quarterback like players that Have like had success, but I've also failed right like in college I he had to pretty not great years like his last two years of college And so like it humbles you but like to be able to come back from failure and then play at a high level You got grit and like you know how to play the game and so like that's one of my favorite things about Brock and like
Starting point is 01:08:03 Granted like he didn't really fail too much in the NFL He went eight no and like just got the nine are super you know how to play the game. And so that's one of my favorite things about Brock and like, granted, like he didn't really fail too much in the NFL. He went eight and no and like just got the nine or super, you know, red hot. But, you know, he's got a lot of intangibles and like he's fantastic in the huddle too. He's stepping in there and like the quarterback gives the energy for the play. Like if your quarterback comes there
Starting point is 01:08:15 and he looks nervous, you're kind of like, oh boy. Yeah. Yeah. Just give the ball like, but like you didn't really feel that, Brock. It was just like, like he had a handle on things and he had a confidence to him. And there's certain things you didn't really feel that brock. It was just like, like he had a handle on things and he had a confidence to him and there's certain things you
Starting point is 01:08:26 can't really coach. Yeah. Um, are you going to be a professional wrestler when you retire? I know you want to be. I'm open all opportunities. I was actually looking at being a podcaster. Okay. No, it's that hard as business there is. Yeah, I know it's really hard in your body is we flushed out the weakest of society. Meghan Markle, see ya. She can't do it. She can't do it. She can't actually couldn't do it weekly.
Starting point is 01:08:46 That's a grind. Actually, that's what we do this on this podcast, where she had somebody that asked the questions and we overdub all the questions later. We do that with Billy. Billy asks all the questions and then we come in. If you're listening to this right now, Billy has already asked all these questions.
Starting point is 01:08:59 Yeah, we really went through this. This is our recording. Yeah, okay, this is one that is totally out of Billy's question. How sweet is it to be in the NFL? So cool. This is our recording. Yeah. Okay. This is one that is totally out of Billy question How's like sweet as it to be in the NFL so cool? Yeah, good question, Billy Thanks Bill. It's a great question. Yeah, no being in the foes super sick. I don't know why everybody does doesn't do it Yeah, I would do good point Is that something you ever think about is like you wake up in the morning like? I'm a fucking NFL player that rocks. Hey George. What are you gonna do today? I'm gonna go down to my gym
Starting point is 01:09:23 I'm gonna work out and then I'm off for the rest of the day and just you know maybe watch the film But I'm done because my season doesn't start till July. Yeah, could you um could you pull LeBron and write a Letter to your younger self thanking your future self For being great at football. How would you say to to little kiddle when he gets it when he gets into the NFL Day one of training camp. What would you tell him? Oh, dude. gets into the NFL, day one of training camp? What would you tell him? Oh, dude. I don't know if I would tell him anything.
Starting point is 01:09:48 I'll just let him do what he was doing. He worked out pretty well for me. Yeah. Yeah, I just enjoy it, which I think I did. I mean, I enjoyed every single day. Like, we started our season, oh, and nine is a rookie, and I still had fun every single day.
Starting point is 01:09:59 We sucked. That's your psycho. You are a football psycho. That's so much fun. I had so much fun. I had so much fun. I had a football psycho. That's so much fun. That's the definition of it. All right. Hypothetical. Ooh, I love these. Okay, and obviously this isn't going to happen,
Starting point is 01:10:11 but let's just say it is, your dad is here. He's a beast. We've already talked to him. He might be writing us a letter for the start of a great week. He should. I think your dad could still kick your ass. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:23 Why do you think that? Because I think that you would get to a point where like, I can't kick my dad's ass and he would be like, I sense weakness and then he would just fuck you up. That's fair. Okay. So do you think like if hypothetically you had to fight to the death, I think I'm taking your debt.
Starting point is 01:10:36 It's like to the death. To the death. I think I do my best to kill him then. You think you kill your dad? He's raised me in that way. You think you think you'd be proud of you Yeah, he's doing him to death. You're like finally son My job
Starting point is 01:10:55 Every parent's dream is the one day be killed by the It's just like a mood. It's like succession. It's like the opposite of that a piss complex. Yeah All right, I got one last question. It's rowback a mood. It's like success. It's like the opposite of that. It's complex. Yeah. Oh, man. All right. I got one last question. It's Rowback question. Promoco take 20% off first purchase. Qs if pull as joggers hoodies shirts shorts everything rowback.com Promoco take Iowa football. Who what about it? What do you think about this year? Are they going to score over under 150 points on offense total? What was the total last year was like it
Starting point is 01:11:32 was something was it was in the hundreds, I think it's probably 120. I think it was a Caitlin Clark scored scored more points in the final in the final point. So it's a composite all season. Yeah. Isn't she great. She's the best at how she was so excited to watch over under 150 150 offensive points. What's the average of that? Is that 12 a game? That's yeah 25 a game. Sorry. Yeah, yeah, that's like yeah, like somewhere around 12 a game Was it 12 games right yeah times ten and oh, yeah, I times ten and oh yeah. I think we're gonna score. We're gonna average like 15 again. Whoa, I mean that's explosive that that will get you guys to nine. I'm taking you out obviously the pick six. No, so like out of the 12 games we're gonna have at least six six six picks sixes some pun blocks some pump blocks and that's how we're gonna get over 15 It is I will say though. We do it like we got a quarterback that can move, who's played a little bit, so that'll be exciting.
Starting point is 01:12:27 Yep. Hopefully that's better, hopefully they're all aligned. They're all played now, because last year we were at all freshmen and they're getting brutalized. So hopefully it's a little bit better this year. But that's also like, because Iowa and Wisconsin play a very similar brand of football. It's tough to watch sometimes.
Starting point is 01:12:42 It actually is good though for the soul because it basically says like how much do you love football? Do you love football enough that you can watch an offense never score? Do you love football enough? Well, it can be nine to six and you're satisfied with the end. Do you love football enough that like, you know going into the game,
Starting point is 01:12:58 you need to pick six to win this game. That's amazing. That's, it's really the test of true football. And you're not wrong. I think that's what makes Iowa Wisconsin so great. Yeah. Cause you have to be such a fan. Yeah, you have to know that the love football.
Starting point is 01:13:12 Yeah, we were recounting the game that I was at that you were in in 2013 when it was 2015. 2015 was not a joke that like I was watching the game at camp Randall being like, I hope Wisconsin can pin Iowa Like at the five yard line with a punt so that way we can get a punt back and not have to get a first down to kick a field You guys had four turnovers that came to like we had a corner have two picks It was you guys fumbled two ball I was just trading puns to see who can inch closer and closer to field goal range
Starting point is 01:13:41 It was so bro that's football, baby But if you can't love football with that, then you don't deserve like chiefs rams a few years ago. Oh, that was not exciting. Yeah, right. Are you guys, is Iowa TEU, the real TEU? Yeah. I do think that.
Starting point is 01:13:56 I mean, if you look at it, I'd agree. If you look at like, especially active guys, like last 10 years, I think Iowa is pretty good. I mean, Dallas Clark, me, Hockinson, the port is gonna be fantastic. I think LaPort is the best tight in the draft class. I think Lions got his complete steal. I like the other tightens too.
Starting point is 01:14:12 But I spent two weeks, Tremor, Sam LaPorta, and the way he moves. He's got the dog? Yeah, he's got the dog. He's kind of quirky. He's kind of goofy too. Like, he's gonna fit in well. Do you know right away if a guy's got the dog in him?
Starting point is 01:14:27 How quickly is the test? Is it just an eye test? Well, when you train with someone, whether it's in the weight room or running routes with them, and things that I look for is when you're running, do you have a forward lean? Like, can you get out and you're still accelerating through 10 yards, or do you stand straight up
Starting point is 01:14:43 and you look like a brick wall just kind of moving slowly? Not everybody, a lot of people look like that. So he's got a nice forward lean. He's got great hips. Wait, it'll be honest. So are you going to be a football coach? At some point. So what level? It depends, you know, kids and stuff like that, who knows? Like, but do you think maybe like college NFL, I think recruiting sounds terrible. Terrible. Does that sound awful, especially now where you're like, hey, here's $25,000 is coming to Iowa. What is that? You're a big enough name where I think you just get on the phone.
Starting point is 01:15:13 Yeah, you just be like, you call up a young tight end. Hey, do you want to play a tight end university? Oh, you need to win a ring. Just thank you. No, I'm 100%. That is like helps a lot. Like, Sabin just drops his rings on the table.
Starting point is 01:15:24 Yeah, when a sewer will be really cool. I'd be like hey, yeah see this You want to take a look at my super role ring? Yeah, come on down. Yeah, come on down You guys should get a ring though like just for being the team that on paper should have won the Super Bowl Like you guys would have won last year you guys would have won the super bowl guys are the best team I believe so I mean like I like I go in every game with confidence that we're going to win the game. So like, yeah, we lose sometimes. And I'm just like, and then you go back and watch the film. Like, yeah, I mean, that's why we lost like turnovers didn't play well.
Starting point is 01:15:54 Couldn't make a clutch catch something like that. And or at the end of day, too, like, you know, NFL players are pretty good. And everyone has great players. But like, if you don't go into game with confidence, then what are you doing in the NFL? So yeah, I believe I'm gonna win every game that I'm gonna go in. Is that realistic? For some people, no.
Starting point is 01:16:08 But it felt like it was this year. Yeah, I know. I felt like we went 12 straight games like one. That was in loose to the Bears though. That was mean, I didn't play, not my fault. Okay. No, like dude, like yeah, I didn't, I couldn't play against the Bears.
Starting point is 01:16:18 You know, I love him too much. Yeah, that's true. I had caught him some slack, dude. It was fucked up. It was fucked up what you did against the commanders this year too. That was so fun. It was fucked up what you did against the commanders this year, too. That was so fun. How was that fun to just continue to slit a team's throat
Starting point is 01:16:30 after they're already dead? Like 120 yards and two touchdowns. There's nothing wrong with that, dude. It was so much fun. I mean, our first touchdown was a wider receiver run for 75 yards. Yeah. We need blockers, charge killer, christmic, aphry.
Starting point is 01:16:42 Yeah, I watched that cut up last night. That's good. That's gonna be on the tide and you teach day. Do this. Yeah, you justers, charge killer, Krishmick Aferi. Yeah, I watched that cut up last night. That's good. That's gonna be on the tight end you teach day. Do this. Yeah, you just like do this. Yeah, 75 yard touchdown. Just do this really well. Wait, one last last question.
Starting point is 01:16:53 You have the record for most yards and a half for a tight end. Yeah, 210. This is like 2018 or something. Yes, it was. What was that half time conversation? We were like, holy shit. That was what happened. I sat down.
Starting point is 01:17:06 And because like again, that's a lot of running. We were like two and 10 at that point. So like no playoffs, no nothing. And I sat down and like Garrett Selik, my vet tied in, looks me goes, dude, you have 210 yards. I was like, what? This half-nopal way I do. And they're like, yeah, you need four yards to break a record.
Starting point is 01:17:22 And I was like, well, that's pretty cool. And it didn't happen. Thanks, Kyle. Yeah. What's up with that? What the hell? He apologized to me after the game. I'm like, I don't know what that's going to do for me now, though. Thanks. Yeah. Half time I was in the math. I was, he's going to get 400 yards receiving it. Yeah. I was like, just give me a 10-yard stick, man. Like a 10-yard branch ride. I'm good. But I don't think I ran another route. But that's kind of cool to be like 210 yards in the first half. It's crazy. And that's it. My job was done.
Starting point is 01:17:47 Yeah. Um, all right. Well, we're going to take a quick break. We're going to reset. We're going to do a Mount Rushmore with George. He's going to be on team Billy and Jake for this one. Is your name actually George? Have you ever called yourself Greg?
Starting point is 01:17:59 Yeah, I use my name tag as Greg. Yeah. You know, however you guys want to identify me as, I'll be Georgia Greg. Well, it got so confusing at one point where I was in for guys. He's his name's Greg. Yeah. What the fuck? So we confused ourselves.
Starting point is 01:18:12 No, it's actually wild. I where was I? I was in, I was like doing something in San Francisco and I had a fan, call me Jeff. Sort of got. He's like, hey, Jeff Kittle, I was like, it's like, it'd be close. Just think, think Greg or George.
Starting point is 01:18:29 Yeah, right. It's not that hard. And you guys are affinning my mom. She's back there right now. And she's like, his name's George. Yeah, George. George is a good strong name. Jeff Kittle, that's a quarterback name.
Starting point is 01:18:37 Yeah. You should have gone up to Cal and be like, Jeff's ready to go. I'm second half against him. Oh, I love quarterbacks. Yeah, go off. All right, see, we're gonna take take a break and then we're going to do Mount Rushmore with George and he's going to be on team Billy. So let's go to quick break.
Starting point is 01:18:52 Break. Before we get to Mount Rushmore with George Kittle, it's brought to you by the Chevy Silverado. You got to be athletic, you got to be fast, you have to have some smarts. You need the perfect balance of size and speed and it also helps if a tight end is good looking. That's where the Silverado EV comes into play. That thing is a beautiful truck. I look at that truck, I say, fellas, I bite my lip, that is a sexy truck.
Starting point is 01:19:20 That's where the first ever Silverado EV comes in. It's packed with power and capability. Chevy trucks are known for that. And the Silverado EV was developed from the ground up to be a fully electric pickup. And it is electric. It's electric by its nature and it's electric to look at. It's a fantastic truck.
Starting point is 01:19:37 The Silverado EV is a boundary breaking game changer that does things other EV pickups don't. When we were in Arizona and they pulled up in that Silverado, it was the Soprano Silverado ad that we put out right around the big game. The Silverado just turned every head in that parking lot. It was crazy. This thing is a beautiful truck.
Starting point is 01:19:59 Thank you, Chevy. Thank you, Chevy trucks for the partnership. It's a perfect connection between Silverado family and Titan University. The Silverado is the Titan of Trucks. It's a look, it's a look great truck. It's a drive great truck. It's a perfect, perfect automobile. I want to get a Silverado.
Starting point is 01:20:18 Chevy, if you're listening right now, send your boy Silverado. I'm in the market for a truck right now, Chevy. I would love to drive a Silverado full time. I love it. Actually, when I rented a car here, I drove a Silverado. That's how much I believe in it. It's great for Aaron.
Starting point is 01:20:33 It's great to drive around town. We love Chevy. Head to Chevy.com, learn more. And now, here's the Mount Rushmore of Best Football plays of all time with our good friend, George Kittle. Okay, Mount Rushmore of best football plays of all time with our good friend George Kittle. Okay, Mount Rushmore time. It is a special Mount Rushmore. I can't believe we've never done this one. It is the Mount Rushmore of football plays. So iconic football plays can be college or NFL.
Starting point is 01:20:59 We have very special guest George Kittle. We're still in his special guest George Kittle were still in his layer, his gym. The barn. It is George and Billy. Yes, the barn. Billy is so excited about. And before we do the Mount Rushmore, Hank is here as well. Yeah. George, anything to say to Cowboy fan, Hank.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Hey, how many times does Dak Prescott have on the show? Oh, good question once. Once. And it was the worst. And we have a great,. Oh, I like Dak. I like Dak. No, he's a good guy. He's a great guy.
Starting point is 01:21:28 You've got any other, have you ever been a Dak's home? Nope. No, invited, like invited to Tide and the University. Have you ever invited a quarterback university? Nope. I have a question as well, Josh. I don't really care about your answering question. I asked you a question.
Starting point is 01:21:41 I asked you a question. I get all this guffer, you know, being a Cowboys fan momentarily for a playoff run before I even knew there were playing a 49ers that who I was the only one on this podcast. I was rooting for George and the NSE Championship game, the fact of fiction. Okay, but I made a bet on the Philadelphia Eagles in August. Also, you're literally no chance that you can tell you made a bet when you you basically had the path
Starting point is 01:22:05 You're like they're gonna beat the cow the cow was gonna beat the box and then they're gonna play the 49ers and beat the 49ers Wait hangar you are you deflecting? Yes, yes, yes, I'm wearing a cowboys jersey by trying to throw them under the box What are we doing? I don't think that was really I'm wearing your cleats. I made you wear the cleats. No, you specifically were like, the cowboys are gonna beat the 49ers in my good friend, George Kidd, a former good friend.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Former is what friends. You know, we'll work on it though. Like, we'll get some reps in, we'll work out together. You know, hopefully we can rebuild the bridge. It's been bright to the ground. I think Kyle, even more a part of my take sweatshirt. Yeah, I did. Right in your face, Hank.
Starting point is 01:22:40 Hank just likes to root against our friends. That's his favorite thing in this video. For the fiction. Who did you, who did you root for when our good, good friend, Jared Goff was in the Super Bowl? The picture. I rest my case. Yeah, I'm in my case.
Starting point is 01:22:52 Yeah, for sure, Hank. Yeah. Now I'll just hold onto that one for the rest of my life. Mm-hmm. It gives you no defuel. I like it. Yeah, you know, I'll win you back. Just wait.
Starting point is 01:23:00 That's the tip of my shoulder this year is Hank. Yes, Hank right there. Hank being a hater. All right. So you guys, Billy and George and I sky. Billy is a nice guy. I didn't want to say the time, but I did bet the night. Okay. Nice.
Starting point is 01:23:13 I couldn't say it. I couldn't say it at the time. But yeah, no, that's. Thank you. Max was saying he was going to cut his hair into a Mohawk like yours if you want a Super Bowl. I didn't say that because then you would have to get past the Eagles. And I don't, I'm not going to root for that.
Starting point is 01:23:26 Oh, you know, that's that's just, could you just root for my success? I will, I will root for your success. That's fine. Well, let's go. They just say, hey, Georgia, I hope you play really little, but the rest are T. I hope you guys went through the Eagles every single time you play him. Is that is that Patriots or Cowboys fan?
Starting point is 01:23:41 No, that's that's Kittle fan. Oh, okay, it'll handle fan. Yeah, that's fine. But what happens? The Niners playing your Cowboys fan hang? No, that's that's Kittle fan. Oh, okay. It'll handle fan Yeah, that's fine But what happens the Niners playing your Cowboys this year week five. Oh, hmm. You'll be a big test tank. Yeah, well It'll be a test. Just wait. I'll win you back. Okay, can't wait. All right, so Mount Rushmore of football plays College in NFL you guys have the first pick Oh, I was really strapped so it's you guys then us then Hank and Max on background. Okay. That's what that's the order Yeah, right I miss our yeah Billy real first and George and then us rules
Starting point is 01:24:16 Wait, no if we're in the studio if he's taking Jake's place Well, it would go hands ourselves. I think it's just told me how it's going first. I know how it's going first. I don't know how it's going first. We don't know you. You're a hard one first. Thanks going for sorry. Wait, you guys are going first. No, it's my house.
Starting point is 01:24:31 How you guys are going first. This house. I have to make this house. No, it's his house. It's his house. All right. You guys go first. Then Hank, then us.
Starting point is 01:24:39 And then back around. This is underpriced. If we lose, if we lose, I get the right place. George will have to come to the isolation chamber. This house, those are the good points. Okay, if we lose, he has to come for like an hour to the chamber. I love chambers.
Starting point is 01:24:53 To the what? To the isolation chamber. Is that where Aaron Rodgers went? Yes, yes, that's where Aaron went. It's kind of like that. Yeah, yeah, like you, if we get a rain, you gotta really be playing in this football season.
Starting point is 01:25:03 That's the whole thing going to be out here. yeah, you can zoom in. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you get sure. I'm sure your wife and family would be happy if for your by week, you decide to come to the part of my day studios and sit in a chamber with Billy and Jake. Yeah, Claire's not here. She's fine. She's fine. Yeah. Okay. All right. So you guys go first then Hank and Max and us. There's so many good football plays There's so many good football plays. Would you like the honors? Yeah, I'd love to our first place the catch Come on to my Clark. Okay. Set the course of for now history. We we we we we decided it was a little overrated It's a little mid no no Chris Norman makes the catch
Starting point is 01:25:40 Yeah, the Cowboys were the dominant team true of the decade and then the Niners finally won and then went on a complete run. But when you talk about the catch, you can't tell the story of the catch without who is there to witness the catch. Tom Brady. Chris Burman elevates every football moment. He's fair. But you know, he's not part of the catch. He's better. Yeah, the covering of the catch. If we're doing best moments covered by journalists, the catch will be number one. I don't know. That's not going to talk down R is because it's your podcast. That's how we do it.
Starting point is 01:26:09 That's how we do it. That's how we do it. You're sitting perfectly in the role of Jake Marsh. I know exactly. You podcast your guys. No, it's good. It's a good. It's an iconic play.
Starting point is 01:26:18 It's a good pick. I will go with probably the most important play in NFL history. There was a there's a hard narrative forming against Patriots. They lost their past two super bowls. I've only saying that, you know, Tom Brady couldn't get the big one. He'd like to call it Malcolm Butler interception against the sea hawks. Okay, most most I mean, there's the greatest super bowl win of all time. The most unexpected super bowl win of all time.
Starting point is 01:26:39 Oh, okay. How many point they have to show you guys? Hold on. Was it really? There's always a sink. They were all at a three point. Yeah, but still hate said it's the most. Okay Yeah, okay, so we will do the most improbable Super Bowl win of all time and the most iconic catch of all time David Tyree's helmet catch. Oh No, it's called the helmet catch. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:05 The catch is probably a little more iconic than that. The helmet catch. The helmet catch. Yeah. The helmet catch. You know it's that. You know it's that. You know it's that.
Starting point is 01:27:14 You know what I'm saying? What's the most iconic catch in the whole history? It's the catch. I mean, there's also a lot that when is the catch beside the actual catch. It was Eli Manning somehow escaping being sacked, chucking it down field. With everything. It's online.
Starting point is 01:27:26 Patrick C's undefeated season. 17 point. That's most improbable. Super bowl win. That's a good play. Okay. decent catch. Okay. I was tied in though. So I love it. Great. Okay. Okay. So what do we want to do for number two here? Because that's a great. We can go six. Number six that we have on the list. We could go number nine or number 10. I think those are the time zones. I like how six or 10 You do you make the call? Pick 10 six or 10. 10 feels like we might reach
Starting point is 01:27:52 you. We can get it later. Yeah, six is okay. Vince Young, fourth down touchdown in the national shape game. That was sick. Maybe maybe the most incredible ending to like everybody was saying, USC, they were kind of like the Patriots in that game. Is this the best college football team of all time? It's one of them just stepped up and he just put his nuts on the table and it's probably it's probably decided is probably the best college football game of all time or at least up there And it's the seminal play 25 seconds left. Keith Jackson on the call Vince Young's got the corner. He's got it unbelievable. Yeah, I don't think casuals like it. You literally just got upset because you're new. I don't think I do. You wanted that pick. I like, he has like the graphic. I don't remember what that looks like.
Starting point is 01:28:34 Like four to five when that happened. Game on the line. That was a great game. That's what your target audience, big cat. Our target is us football guys. I want to make I want to just age wise. What's your age in the graphic? Okay, that's funny. God should pick the catch. your target audience big cat. I'm talking about his us football guys. I want to make I want to like age wise, what's your age? Okay, that's funny. Guys you pick the catch. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:49 Yeah. Oh, that is. That is. That's right. It's like, everybody knows it's like you know, it's like, it's like most iconic plays. Yeah, you guys next history.
Starting point is 01:28:59 Rikers did the first forward pass. That was pretty cool. Okay. Yeah, I mean, you can't you can't argue about LARL, Madrie, when you picked the pitch. I mean, that's for old, I mean. So I don't know about you guys. You guys sound like you're pandering a little bit to the audience. For me and Big Cat come up with these lists.
Starting point is 01:29:14 We just say the Holy Spirit moves us to make this football. Off the dough, she speaks for the Holy Spirit. That's off the dough. That's a talky. That was a good, it was a really good game. I think the game kind of makes the play seem, but it was really just It was making the game so good. It makes the most important play that game seemed worse. I don't know. I got a fourth and five. A fourth and five QB scramble touched on for the win.
Starting point is 01:29:37 Thanks for the national championship. Without context, it was a lane play. Okay, I have a lot to play lame play game that I think is cooler. Okay, and I have the most iconic, me and Max have the most iconic college football play of all time to kick six. Okay, is that for the national championship? In Alabama, yes. I think it's kind of mid.
Starting point is 01:29:56 Yeah, I don't think kicking is very football. It's also what's happening. It's a football player. It was the longest kick return. The kicking is, but kick returns. The kick, that had nothing to do with just kicking involved like saving only put out lineman. I mean, you could actually it wasn't that cool.
Starting point is 01:30:10 I could have done that. You could make the argument. That was just a really bad play because Alabama just didn't do their job. It was really it was really good play. The kids. No, it wasn't good at all. Yeah. I think I think if that's the guy's
Starting point is 01:30:20 running the end subway is running a highlight package like that's probably getting top billing And in front of you guys. You guys are the youngest. No, the kick six is down before the jump. I'm in the rain over a four. Just a scramble. It's a five yard play.
Starting point is 01:30:32 Kick six. It wasn't a five yard play. No, it's fourth and five, but then you know like a 15 yard touchdown. Okay, 15 or a hundred. Which is higher? And everybody knew that the same was going to run the ball and they still can stop. Yeah. We him. Yeah. We up.
Starting point is 01:30:46 Yeah, you have two. Oh, well, we're gonna go back on. We're gonna know the Immaculate Reception. Okay, another story. This is another guy's, we'll be over it recently. Yeah, going with our audience, target audience. No, I mean, who's in that game? Okay, but name it like, and Bounce, who is in that game?
Starting point is 01:31:00 Fullback, just Puffer and Rit, and Hands Up and Catches, and Runs For a Touch. Yeah, just so we're clear, all the plays you guys are picking, the people aren't alive anymore. No, but there are still others, dog. Okay, you know what I mean? They were pulling. There's people, there's also, they don't know who's playing.
Starting point is 01:31:14 They don't know who's playing. Wait, who's playing in the game? Steelers. And? Raiders. Oh man, I got to show a left one off the hook. There's also one camera angle of both of those plays that you guys have picked so far in the ground
Starting point is 01:31:25 Yeah, and yeah, but that's like this place are gospel. No, it's a good play. It's good play You we have a positive now Which one's I am no, you're not I think this is about it. That's not possible. You're on three we're in three We like better shame I guess to put down other people's picks. It's crazy. Do you ever want to do dog? This was kind of the start.
Starting point is 01:31:49 Yeah, yeah. Our third one is the Tom Brady tuck versus the Raiders. It's okay. Iconic. Change the course of history. Changed. Changed the course of history.
Starting point is 01:32:00 Was it a fumble? Was it not? It was not. Okay. Confirmed. But that was a very important play that actually changed the NFL And it started the Patriots dynasty. I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna integrate another man's pick anymore I've tried to turn over new leaf on this doesn't seem but I would have a lot of material to work with if I wanted to I'm also not gonna integrate another seems pick
Starting point is 01:32:19 I'll just say that my favorite football plays are plays that we have to watch in a replay booth for 10 15 minutes in a row. This is an important place that iconic. Correct. No, no, it is. It's a very important place. Snow? Yeah, yeah, listen to snow was there and everything. I wouldn't put down your pick at all, but if I were, I would say that Adam Financier is two field goals that he made in that game are better plays.
Starting point is 01:32:39 Yeah. I mean, put more knock on the deal without that play though. Yeah. Okay, so you're talking like important play without that play though. Yeah, okay, so we're so you're talking like important play You said iconic. Yeah, okay, so do people talk about more of that talk or an eventary's Get an inventory is good. No, I'm not bringing up all the time. It's in part of the game. Okay, you make a 30 for 30 about the kick So what they didn't make a 30 for 30 about the kick. Okay, we're I mean, we're not putting down your pick So I don't know why we have a discussion. Yeah, good guys are
Starting point is 01:33:01 not putting down your pick. So I don't know why we're even having a discussion. Yeah, what happened? Good pick. You guys are cancerated though, I will say. Thank you. Thank you. All right, Hank. We're going to keep the theme here,
Starting point is 01:33:11 and we're going to go to Philly Special. A common play that was so iconic that they named it after Philly even though it's been a common play forever. It was Clemson. So that's what I'm saying, but it's so iconic that they'd change the name to just the Philly Special even though it's it was a common play.
Starting point is 01:33:25 Do you love that play? So it's not plays we love it's iconic play. Oh, it's your first pick? The most iconic one. Also my high and Alton has to be played. I love that play. I love it. I actually like that pick.
Starting point is 01:33:36 It is. Good pick. Everyone's got good picks. We're doing a good job, guys. Straff is awesome. I agree. Okay. What do we want to do with number three here?
Starting point is 01:33:44 We've got a lot of three and four. We'll go nine. Yeah, nine's pretty big. We want to go nine. And then do you want to do eight to wrap it up? I love eight. I think eight. My my
Starting point is 01:33:59 I love it too. It's something that the problem with our picking is that we're the only team that picks true to what we love. Not like pandering. Oh, I hate to feel especially. We're going to hate the knock on Butler play. What are we talking about here?
Starting point is 01:34:16 We're a team here. It's not about I. It's about we. OK. What's lock in nine? We all sign for no 16 to or you're 14 that was just an unbelievable. That's just the best play Okay, you want to do that?
Starting point is 01:34:39 Are not our next pick we're gonna go with Cuz we're here in Nashville. We're gonna go with because we're here in Nashville we're gonna go with the music city miracle. Oh yeah. Music city miracle. Incredible. I mean you watch every game. No, illegal.
Starting point is 01:34:51 Nope, they reviewed it. It was not a four pass. Not a four pass. It was like impossible for you to be. Are you guys shitting on our pick? No, I was just winking. Who's having fun in that? And we are in Nashville.
Starting point is 01:35:01 Thank you. Well, that's a smart move by you. I had it on the floor. It also is one of those plays that like if you're a football fan, you just always root for something like that to happen. Four years. Four years. We like, well, come on. Just one chance of you watching the game.
Starting point is 01:35:12 You're just like something crazy. Yeah. It's happened before it could happen again. Music City Mirror. Great name to for it. You're like music city miracle. It's got the eliteration. It's catchy. It's very catchy. You're always going to remember Jeff Fisher was the architect of it.
Starting point is 01:35:24 Yeah. You can't tell the story of football without Jeff Fisher. It is true. Maybe we actually go one. Okay. Do you want to do it? Yeah. It's like one of the coolest. It is cool. It is cool. Do you think they'll I think the others are more like nostalgia driven? Right. This is just that fucking rock. Yeah. Cool. Go for that one. Okay. Number one Or I guess our fourth pick. Sean Taylor in the Pro Bowl leveling. We're going to we're talking Pro Bowl. Yeah, we're talking pro.
Starting point is 01:35:55 All time. We're going to throw a banger after the pro. Yeah, you guys put the part time play into the surface of the graphic love it I love this the punner tried to run a fake pond who did he thought it was Brian Warman. Yeah, who was at one time the fastest player in the NFL If you can believe one of the greatest hits in NFL history, and it was in a promo which you're not supposed to hit Yeah, yeah, it's fucking jacked him up. You crushed him. Yes, you know you I we say that would be awful Yeah, that would hurt really bad Yes, yeah, so bad it did fucking badass play. We're just doing a little of everything best football player of all time
Starting point is 01:36:31 We got a we got iconic NFL play iconic college football play I End of the game music city miracle and then the coolest hit ever we have all those city miracle and then the coolest it ever. We have all those in place. Listen, you guys can you guys did a you know, you go Google best plays and you look it up. Like Franco Harris and the catch. That's fine. These are all down. The catch is like the first ever like 49ers drafted the catch. Yeah. So I know
Starting point is 01:37:01 about it. You guys you guys got a top 20 college football play. We got the number one and we're about to take the number two most iconic football play of all time. Statue of Liberty, Boise State. Wow. That was my list. The definition of what makes coach football great. A major means nothing. I met everything. What do you talk about? I mean, back then, the, the, any of the football vegetable. Okay. Tainted know that. Boys are saying that, sir. Oklahoma. Okay. All right. I mean, one truly the most
Starting point is 01:37:31 I felt legendary rival obviously not that cool. That's also money on that game. I was like, how could Oklahoma ever lose their proposal out there? It was beautiful. It was is what makes college football great. Well, some people would say it's the play before that play was more impactful when they ran
Starting point is 01:37:44 the line down field lateral. Yeah, look at that, he doesn't know the impactful plays are iconic. No, he doesn't remember what happened before that. Yeah, oh, that guy from the cover. Yeah, we're talking about highlight plays iconic plays. Okay. I don't see that on the highlight. I see them. Sasha. You guys were talking about Texas versus USC. There's another play from that that I remember better. Yep. And that's when Reggie Bush broke out the long run and then lateraled it backwards. Okay. Turn over, crush all their momentum
Starting point is 01:38:09 and then allow Vince Young to have his cool moment at the end of the game. Okay. Yeah. So you guys are picking two fumbles on your draft board. They're iconic plays. Okay. So you're taking the lesser of the more impactful plays from the same game.
Starting point is 01:38:21 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no That was my favorite. I know. I know. I'm not integrating your pick. Yeah. It wasn't even the best lateral from that game because Vince Young had a lateral in the first half. I'm putting it right. I'm not going to have on that whether the change of momentum the entire game. No, I think they might have scored. I know.
Starting point is 01:38:55 Like ours was a turnover. Yeah, which defense went to how many points is a turnover worth? Defense went to championships. Okay. Okay. So which ones do we miss? We had, let's say, Harrison, you and I need to touch on. Yeah. Oh, so which ones do we miss? We had, James Harrison, I knew you had a touch on.
Starting point is 01:39:07 Yeah, that's big. Yeah, Doug Fouley, Bill Mary, Oh, that is a good one. Stanford band. Yeah. I wanted to go old again though.
Starting point is 01:39:14 I wanted to put this one on the list because it might be my favorite football play of all time. Dan Connelly, 71 yard kickoff return on the Patriots. Offensive line. Wow, that's a, he, Marty told me to do that. Yeah, that's a great, great play. on the Patriots offensive line. Wow. That's what he Marty told me to do that. That's a great great play. Go back, watch the highlight right now if you've never seen it before.
Starting point is 01:39:30 That's a great great. Great office alignment. It covers a squib kick. Takes it 71 yards. He covers it up with a fire. Yeah. And then he breaks on the ball for 50 yards. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:40 So he goes two hands on the ball because he thinks he's about to get tackled. But he's just blazing speed breaks through. C cuts the outside, puts the ball on his outside arm. Like a fucking running back. Stiff arms people. The I will never say another bad word about John Cune, the football player, but I'm so mad that he chased that guy down and tackled him at the end of that play. Because that would have been it would have been the best play in the history of sports. If you had scored a touch, yeah, Joey Nettlement against the Falcons deserves.
Starting point is 01:40:05 Yeah. Deserves some well. Crab tree versus Texas was on our list. Mm-hmm. That was cool. All time iconic game. Richard Sherman versus Crab tree. Yep. Michael Vick versus the Vikings.
Starting point is 01:40:16 Over time, his run. I think you brought that one up. Did you all enjoy the miracle at the metal lands? Yeah, that was. Yeah, we had that one. I said that one. Hank vetoed it, but that was a great that was it That would have been a great big big pass. If it wasn't a regular season game
Starting point is 01:40:29 Well, it was it was to get the Eagles to the playoffs wasn't it? No, that we were just down like 20 I think it was 24 points in the fourth quarter. Okay It was a It was a bit of the season though Michael Vic throwing a bomb to Dishon Jackson randomly And I was a First game of the Eagles remember that game that was the one in first game. Yeah, the first game of the first play. Yeah, we remember that game. That was just Randy Moss, triple coverage.
Starting point is 01:40:48 Yeah. Jerome Simpson. I'm right in Randy Moss play together. How cool. It's great. Jerome Simpson front flip into the in zone where he stuck the landing. Doug Flutey helicopter was was a positive. John L.A.
Starting point is 01:41:00 John L.A. John L.A. You know, the the des no catch. Yes, no catch just because it was weird. Oh, the, the Des no catch. Des no catch. Just because it was weird. Oh, we'll go back him. We'll go back him. Yeah. Could you do that? Yeah, sure. Yeah, it's the gloves, right?
Starting point is 01:41:13 Just throw me the ball. Yeah. Some cool, even clowny Michigan. Most of them are in play of all time. Wow. We, I went on one of the boys we asked Taylor about it because he was a left tackle of one. And he did not do what he was supposed to do, even though he thinks he did. But if you look at gap scheme, he completely left the tight and on an
Starting point is 01:41:33 island alone versus a gap gap guy Taylor is supposed to help out on left him on an island. Super tough. If you just had his helmet strapped on no one even knows that. I would say it's not always and you can't, there's context to the play, the fact that they didn't get the first down and then like the next play. South Carolina didn't get the first down by like an inch. They were pissed off.
Starting point is 01:41:55 That was the next play for Michigan. So it's a bad guy. No, it was Michigan. Yeah, they gave him a first down and they were like, two inches away. That's right. And they're like super short on it. It's balled alive.
Starting point is 01:42:04 It's balled alive. And the number one ball to my play of all time. Fair. I remember in real time when I was like the number one playing sports center all year and I was just like, this is not, he's tackled. Whatever happened in the running back? To what? To the running back.
Starting point is 01:42:15 For Michigan. I don't know. I think he's still there. I'll throw a head. This one, this one, I feel. Still there. This one hurts, but it is iconic, even though it was in a loss, but Devon has to open and kick off in the soup bowl.
Starting point is 01:42:28 So I mean, that one. And then I was thinking about, I was like trying to do all, like the Bears ones, Mike Brown back to back, pick sixes to win games. Was it a, they like, what's the game with the Cardinals and the Bears when they had like, yeah, 21 points off of a two overs. Yeah. And one of them was Erlacher just taking the ball out of a guy's hands and running. Yeah, the bears are who we
Starting point is 01:42:48 thought they were. Yeah, I'm going to be where. Yeah, like that's that press conference alone could be an iconic. Yeah, do you want to go? We should have got about that. That's what you guys should imagine. That's what was next for us. Yeah. I think we might have done that. Okay. We were running out of quarter all paterson's kickoff the charge with a skycam was on them. That was that's just on the line. The Saints Vikings by. Oh, Miracle. Minneapolis miracle.
Starting point is 01:43:12 Oh, that was good. Yeah, shoot. Saints Rams. Saints Rams passer for you. That was crazy. Yeah. What's what's the best play you've ever had? Probably Saints is what I get fourth and two is what most people think of when they think of me. Yeah. Passes my home. Patrick Mahomes, 13th completion. Oh, the besting completion that we'll ever see.
Starting point is 01:43:33 In the Super Bowl, the diving. Yeah. It's now in Madden. Like you've had your play in Madden online and someone hits for the win, you're psyched. Best play that never happened. Yeah. Beastquake. That's a fucking great one.
Starting point is 01:43:43 That's the last time that I forgot. That's super tough. That was a fucking great big one. That's the limit. I thought about that last time that I forgot. That's super tough. That's such a missed. That's great one. When he was going in the end zone too.
Starting point is 01:43:53 Yeah. Yeah. Right Jennings. Oh, I broke my leg. That's a carol. That is play. The whole team on his back. Damn.
Starting point is 01:44:01 One of the hottest. Travis Kelsey getting powerbombed. Yeah. That's good. You, Billy, Billy hates Travis Kelsey. I don't in Travis Kelsey getting power bomb. I don't know. Do you believe Billy hate Travis Kelsey? I don't hate Travis. I saw this. Yeah. Do you think Travis Kelsey runs off?
Starting point is 01:44:13 Well, he loved the, you know, he loved Titans and Yaklas here. So I don't think it's possible to say that he was just like his mentality when he runs. No, I don't think you're on soft. Now, there are times and places where you can run out of bounds or stay in bounds. And sometimes you just decide to go out of bounds, but like, he's 32, 33. And maybe that's just what's best for him in the chiefs is to not pick up two more yards and to play the next play. So you agree he's making a lot of business decisions while running?
Starting point is 01:44:40 Look, Travis literally led the league in YAC. So I can't. Okay. He's fantastic. Yeah Billy Billy keeps trying to soften it but he keeps making it worse. Yeah Bill, I know I'll introduce you tonight. You can check Travis's hand and tell that he Like you run soft when they make me say that in front of them Yeah, I think How to get out of it. Yeah, no, I'll bring up a hey Travis's Billy
Starting point is 01:45:01 He thinks that you run very soft. Yeah, huh? be a great moment. He called you to be where? Yeah. All right, well good amount rush for everyone. I thought good about it. Yeah, I think you I love our picks. I love our picks. You guys laugh at the show and tell everyone's picks. Yeah, no, I mean, it's a great
Starting point is 01:45:16 super cut. That's like that's like a social media clip. Well, here's the problem and we do do this to ourselves. With the fourth pick, we try to do something different. Yeah, okay, we try to get You know, we don't we're not gonna do the Buzzfeed list like you guys do We did the Reggie Bush not to decorate That's true. That's true You did bad pick on that is Hank at Cowboys Dodgers and Yankees fan
Starting point is 01:45:43 I don't like the Lakers though. Yeah, okay. All right, well, George, thank you. Oh, that was sick. Did we get that? We got that. Okay, we're going to get into our movie review. It's brought to you by Max. Let's talk about Max, the best place to see all the entertainment.

Starting point is 01:46:49 max the one to watch, sign up now at max.com, our movie reviews brought to you by max.com. We're reviewing movies, documentaries from max.com this month. And oh boy, we did a doozy this week, boys. We did, uh, we watched the documentary Jared from Subway catching a monster. Oh my God, was that horrific? Uh, I mean, it was fascinating because I don't know. I'll start here.
Starting point is 01:47:16 I don't know about UPFT, but my like knowledge of this case was like, oh yeah, he got caught with some stuff on his computer and that was it. Like I had no idea how deep it went. I had no idea how long it had gone on. It obviously centers around this one journalist who Jared had like, we were at a middle school doing a speech
Starting point is 01:47:40 and right before it started, he like turned to her and whispered and was like, aren't middle school girls so hot? And then she was like, what the fuck did he say? And basically spent the next six, seven years being an undercover agent for the FBI trying to get him. The whole thing was crazy. And I also wanna say, I don't know if you guys
Starting point is 01:48:00 had the same thought when I was watching it. Thank God part of my take hadn't started yet because we definitely would have had Jared from Subway on the show. We would have, he was doing so much media. I forgot how insane the media hype was for Jared from Subway. He was on everything, everything.
Starting point is 01:48:19 There's in no doubt in my mind, we would have got an email being like, Jared from Subway is stopping by the office. Do you guys want him? And be like, yeah, sure. So we've been like, yeah, let's do it. We'll have Max walk back and forth to Subway with you every day for a week, wearing his giant pants,
Starting point is 01:48:35 the Super Bowl pants, and then he'll hold them up at the end of the week and show how much weight he lost. And yeah, he's a bad guy. Jared, really bad guy, I was shocked. Like how many times do you think he had told somebody that because he had just met the woman earlier that day, they sit down at a middle school assembly and then he leans over and he tells her
Starting point is 01:48:58 that he thinks that middle school girls are hot. And she was like, what? How many other people did he tell that that didn't do anything about it? So on one hand, the woman that's the focal point of this documentary, she seems like she was like kind of bored and this gave her like a project to work on and she wanted to be a spy. And Jared, Jared's a fucking idiot for like not realizing that's what she was doing over the course of like six years. She was basically asking him to just increment himself over and over and over again,
Starting point is 01:49:28 while never ever like meeting up with him or falling through on any of the stuff that she said she wanted to do with him. Jared's a moron for going along with that. At some point, guys like that, they might want to get caught. They might like, you know, subconsciously know that they're doing something bad and want to get caught. So he kept going along with it. Jared, awful guy. Shockingly, I don't think Jared was the worst person in this documentary though. It was the other guy, yeah.
Starting point is 01:49:55 It was his business manager, but even more so than his business manager, his business manager's wife, I think, is the worst person this documentary. So his business manager was like helping him procure kids, sending him like child porn, taking him on trips to Thailand and doing God knows what over there. His business manager's wife was selling videos of her own kids naked in her house. What the fuck is going on with that? She was also, she was the worst. Billy. She was also, if you caught this small sound bite, she was fucking horses on camera. Yeah, no, they were all there. And they found it. Yeah. It was like, that's how it all, like,
Starting point is 01:50:39 that's, that was the, the, the moment that Jared's like life started to go down the path of getting caught. Was the horse fucking. It was, I had, if you had asked me before I watched this, I would have had no idea that all this happened. Like, it was one of those documentaries that I'm happy I watched because I, like, there was so much stuff that either I had forgotten or just never learned because he got arrested and everyone was like, oh, that's fucked up and made jokes and it was so much deeper than that. It was so much more fucked up. It was a very well done documentary
Starting point is 01:51:14 and we should say her name is Rochelle. Her name is Rochelle Herman and she basically, she's a hero and even though she wasn't the person who took them down, like she's a true definition of a hero. It's like she could have easily just done nothing. Instead, she kind of ruined her own life trying to take Jared down. She basically threatened to release all the tapes that she had of Jared.
Starting point is 01:51:36 If the FBI didn't do anything about it because they kind of stopped their investigation. So then she called her local cops. She called the cops on the FBI. She was like, hey, I'd like to report a crime. The FBI isn't doing their job investigating a crime. So it put pressure on them and made them focus in their investigation, try to get some charges pressed.
Starting point is 01:51:56 And Jared, I think Jared is going to be out of prison in like four or five years. I think he's scheduled to be released because as fucked up as like the stuff that he said that he did was in the conversations, they were only able to prove like the child porn stuff. They weren't able to prove that he did anything even though he talked about all the other stuff
Starting point is 01:52:19 that he had done. They didn't have enough evidence to make that stick. So, well, I think the wife got, what, like, 20, 30 years in prison, something like that. And his business manager also got, like, 15 or 20 years. Jared's gonna be out soon. It's fucked out. The whole thing was fucked up.
Starting point is 01:52:36 It was very well done documentary. I also wanna say shout out to there's two interviews that I loved. It was the FBI agent who did his interview in his car. Like he was in a stakeout. Love that. And he wasn't looking at the camera. Yeah, he wasn't looking at the camera. And then there was the Indiana State Police Officer who did his interview in like a perfect Indiana stake house. And it was just like, I know exactly where he is.
Starting point is 01:53:00 He was sitting the red tablecloth. Like, he was like, I just, he probably got a free run, lunch out of it. It was those two interviews. I was just like, these guys picked this spot. I also liked the woman's radio co-host down in Florida. His name is Ozzy Osborne. And he just looked like he had been sitting out in the sun for 50 years. Yeah. That's the most used from a bar. Yeah. That's the most Florida guy of all time. Yes, anyone else got, I mean, it was, it was like harrowing. Yeah, go ahead, Jake. Yeah, I know it was insane.
Starting point is 01:53:31 Some of his specific quotes you mentioned them earlier, there was wild, like they had to flash the warning like every five minutes during this documentary just to let you know that what you're about to hear is insane. Well, I feel like it was made for TV, but then it was on HBO. That actually threw me off too, because they were doing dramatic commercial cuts.
Starting point is 01:53:50 I think it was because it was so... It was so bad. Yeah. That was crazy. And then, yeah, similar to what PFT said, turning in the FBI is going above their head. It's crazy. You would love to move like that, wouldn't you, Jake?
Starting point is 01:54:05 Yeah, of course. But the fact that she knew this was going on and he was still out there, I think it was like three years. Like, that's just crazy that this couldn't have been stopped sooner. Whole thing was nuts, it really was. But it was a very well done documentary. I think it was three parts.
Starting point is 01:54:24 You can, you know, it's one of those documentaries you can do in one night and it was definitely but it was a very well done documentary. I think it was three parts. You can, you know, it's one of those documentaries, you can, you can do in one night, and it was, it was definitely worth it. I was kind of thinking too, because we did the win sanity documentary, and it's like overnight fame and overnight success, and Jeremy Lynn kind of used all that, and is doing good with it.
Starting point is 01:54:39 And then on the flip side, it's like Jared from Subway, it was just the worst human being to have her live. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do you think he was like this before the fame? Well, I think they said it. They said it in the beginning where it's like,
Starting point is 01:54:50 your whole life gets based off of if you're young interactions and if you're just getting bullied all the time and no one wants to sit with you and everyone hates you, like you just become a child. He never heard of it. He never heard of it. That's what I didn't like that part about it. How at the beginning, they basically set the entire show up
Starting point is 01:55:06 to say Jared had absolutely zero human contact when he was in middle school with anybody. Like, girls wouldn't sit next to him. Almost like they were setting it up for the excuse to be Jared was just like trying to relive the childhood that he never had. It was like pre-excusing, but there are a lot of people that are nerds
Starting point is 01:55:25 in middle school that don't end up doing the shit that Jared does. Yeah, yeah, the whole thing was crazy. All right, so that was max.com, go sign up today. God, they have just endless amounts of entertainment, everything, all the shows, documentaries. Like I said, kids shows as well. What are you gonna watch?
Starting point is 01:55:45 One last question, big guy. Who do you think is a worse spokesperson for Subway in terms of sales? Jared or Russell Wilson? Well, Jared did a lot for Subway in sales. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I think like the net. He net damaged to the brand, probably Russell Wilson.
Starting point is 01:56:03 Dude, I remember, I tried out the subway diet for a while there. So yeah, it works, just get a subway, but then I was like getting meatball subs, which are so good. You have to get, I think he got like the dry turkey, you know, sauce, no manage. And now he's getting a different type of foot long.
Starting point is 01:56:20 Then pros and cons. Okay, all right. Not from a horse. How many times do you think that's maybe the most tweeted tweet of all time? It is. It was actually like such a tweeted tweet that I just realized that maybe if you've been on
Starting point is 01:56:31 the internet just in the last like four years, you haven't really seen it. I think it went, what year did he get arrested? 25th. 2015 I think? That's probably the most commonly tweeted tweet in the year 2015. Yeah, yeah, easily.
Starting point is 01:56:46 All right, so go check out max.com. What are we gonna do next week? Do we have the list? Hank, we gotta pick a movie. We gotta pay our fee. We're gonna fire again. Yeah, let's see. Oh, can we do Cobra?
Starting point is 01:57:03 Yeah. Cobraras awesome. Slice to loan. No, remember the heat is Melissa McCarthy. Yeah, we could do that. Some lighter, Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. I'm up for whatever. There's a really funny scene in that area.
Starting point is 01:57:19 There's a really fun scene in that area. There's a cobra better or worse than Bloodsport. Cobras, no bloodsport is the best movie of all time, so that's hard. The heat, not to give away any of the plot or anything, but there's just one really good scene where they're interrogating a witness in Sandra Bullock's like, throw the phone book at him and Melissa McCarthy throws an actual phone book at him. That's all, let's, let's lane it up. I think we, we think we put the listeners through enough this week.
Starting point is 01:57:43 Yeah, all right. Yeah, the heat All right, we're gonna do the heat with Melissa McCarthy. It's a legitimately funny movie. I'm sorry like I actually think Bill Burr might be in it There is going. I think I think he's in it. Yes, so we'll do we'll do the heat Next week everyone watch out max.com. All right Let's let's wrap up the show by the way. We got some awesome interviews coming from Titan you Travis Kelsey Monday Let's wrap up the show. By the way, we got some awesome interviews coming from Titan you. Travis Kelsey Monday.
Starting point is 01:58:06 Really, really good. Like, I thought we had already met him a million times because he was that cool and fun to be around. Like, the way he dapped us up, I was like, do we have we met? But he's just the man. And that was on the front. That was, oh, sorry, I keep going.
Starting point is 01:58:23 I'm Billy Confrontum. I'm Billy Confrontum. Yeah. Billy Confrontum. I'm lucky to be alive. Yeah. I'm lucky to be alive. Yeah, so that actually is a good lead in for my fire fest because Travis Kelsey was a great interview.
Starting point is 01:58:34 Obviously, the Patriots chief's rivalry, never rooted against them, but it was always like, we got to beat the chiefs to win the Super Bowl. So I never rooted for him, never loved him or my homes. But obviously the Patriots aren't as good now. They're the champs. He was great interview. And then after hours, me and Billy,
Starting point is 01:58:52 where it was entertaining client hours. And he was just funny. He was a funny guy. He had some callbacks to the interview. And I left the bar being the guy I love, Travis Kelsey. Yeah. The guy moves different. He just moves different.
Starting point is 01:59:07 Okay, so he say, that's your firefests? You love firefests? Yeah, I legitimately was like, I like, you know, he was as good, not to over-hype it, but he was great on it. And afterwards, I was like, Travis Kelsey is the fucking man. I was like, I kind of feel like I kind of always root like hated Travis Kelsey, but now I just,
Starting point is 01:59:26 now I'm a huge fan of this. It's like never meet your heroes, but the opposite. Never meet your enemies. You might end up falling in love. Yeah. Literally. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:59:35 Also lots of pair headphones, but we're in three cities in a week and a half, so. Yeah, you're fine. PFT. I had a pretty clean week. I would say my fire fest is also tight end you related. We went to that bar after we were done with all the interviews on on I forget the day Tuesday night. Tuesday night we got to the bar and it's all
Starting point is 01:59:55 tight ends hanging out in this bar and that's just not a place I need to be standing. It's not. It really isn't. Everybody was six, four, as a five, eight, and three-quarters man. It is, it's emasculating to say the least. So I just found a seat as quickly as I could. And I was like, I need to be sitting down. That way people aren't like, oh, this guy's short. No, he's sitting down. I told, I told Billy that, which was a mistake. I said, I should not be standing up here. This feels very awkward. And then Billy, about 15 minutes later proceeds to tweet out,
Starting point is 02:00:30 like, man, I'm around all these huge guys. Now I know what it's like for a PFT to be in any bar. So he used my own joke to insult me. No, no, because I felt that way. I was trying to get a beer with Hank at after hours. And there was a whole line of NFL tight ends. It's called Afties. Afties, whatever.
Starting point is 02:00:50 I'm talking a kid. I'm talking a kid. Yeah, we went out that late. I was trying to get a beer and like, not to brag. I'm like, I kind of like to think that I'm really good at getting beers and crowd of bars. I always at this bar with Jack Kelly's confirm. Jack, that's Billy's. That's Billy's specialty.
Starting point is 02:01:06 That's the thing that he's the most talented in the world at is buying a beer. Getting beers. I crowded beers. So I'm trying to get through these gigantic dudes at the bar and like no one was giving any way I couldn't like body any one to get a beer and it was like you need to be Nick Bosa to get a beer at that bar. Oh, I also hate get a test. Hank got stuck. The PFT that we got through though as well.
Starting point is 02:01:30 What didn't help as well is that PFT and I because we did a ton of interviews on Tuesday was one of our longest days we've had. So we like never went back. So PFT also was wearing a backpack in the bar. And that's always I was also wearing a backpack and it sucks. There's no worse feeling than walking into a bar with a backpack and being like, Hey guys, what's up? I looked like a seventh grader. It was bad.
Starting point is 02:01:53 It was a bad visual for me, but you have to be self-aware in those scenarios and know when you're not, you're not meant to be there. Maybe in a past life, I could have pulled it off if I still party as far as I used to, but I don't. And so I was just like, you know what? Not the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Yeah. Yeah. That was, that was a lot of big dudes. All right, my fire fest, I did tweet this earlier this week, put my fire fest, so I left Titan University 6am on Wednesday when, when everyone went to do the drills. My son was graduating from being three to four. I don't know why they had a graduation, but they did. And I cried. And I think I'm just the cry. I'm the dad that cries now.
Starting point is 02:02:28 Like, I shouldn't be crying it from three to four, but I was crying. You're like, Dick Vermil. Yeah. It was, I opened it. I think I'm just going to let it be. I'm just going to be like, I'm going to be anything that, like, is the passing of time with my kids. I'm just going to be like, I'm going to be, I'm just gonna let it be.
Starting point is 02:02:45 I'm just gonna be like, I'm gonna be anything that is the passing of time with my kids, I'm just gonna cry, and I'm not gonna care about it. It's good, that's healthy. It feels good to cry. Yeah, exactly. Six are on to something.
Starting point is 02:02:57 Also shout out teachers, just a shout out, because teachers rock. You had two great teachers, and I don't know how teachers deal with a bunch of three-year-olds running around all day. It is probably the hardest job in the world, so shout out teachers. They party hard. That's what teachers do. Also, yeah, I agree with your shout out teachers, love teachers, but they get after it. Yeah, they need to because I like, yeah, it's a lot.
Starting point is 02:03:25 And he had two really, really good ones. So yeah, I cried. And then I also cried a little bit on Wednesday night, but that was because I ate some mushrooms and John Mayer was fucking going off at Denko. But that was more like a tears of joy kind of thing. So really emotional day for me on Wednesday. Yeah, all the highs and lows.
Starting point is 02:03:44 You were like no Sean Marano, listen to the National Anthem or Nick Sireonny. You listen to John Mayer play guitar in mushrooms. Hell yeah. Once I was in Hong Kong when I did the MDMA with Donnie at the rugby, at the rugby seven tournament. And I cried just because Carl and Iles was so fast
Starting point is 02:04:02 that he made me cry. It was beautiful. Shit will happen. Remember the time when I cried in Nashville, when we got so high going to the Super Bowl, and everyone went out to dinner, and I was too high to go out to dinner, because I got down to the lobby and Larry the bus driver
Starting point is 02:04:16 was like, where are we going out to dinner? And I was like, I can't deal with this. So I went back upstairs, and I was watching, I was watching a college basketball game. I was watching like Syracuse vs college basketball game. I was watching like Syracuse vs. Duke play in like the 50s and then I flipped over to the Warriors and they're making every shot and I cried a little. Cause I was like, this is fucking beautiful. So it's okay. More of the story is it's okay to cry if it's about your kids or sports or John Mayer being a fucking piece of the guitar. PFT, you would have second set.
Starting point is 02:04:46 He threw out his back in the intermission. He did the entire second set from an office chair and was just like shredding just like nothing had happened. It was a flu game. Guitar is sports, it really is. And I'll put my hand up. I was a John Mayer hater as recently as probably like seven years ago, eight years ago,
Starting point is 02:05:06 because I never actually really listened to him. I was just like, oh, this guy can't be that good at guitar because as you're growing up, you're learning how to play. You learn from all the grades and you listen to like classic rock, that type of shit. It just does not compute in your head that a modern popular musician can be that talented to be on the same level as some of the all-time grades. John Mayer fucks. He's so good dude. He is so goddamn good. I mean he made me cry. He's that good. He made me cry. Might have been the mushrooms, but he still made me cry.
Starting point is 02:05:34 Yeah. Those were for John Mayer. Those tears. But yeah, full second set in an office chair. What a beast. OK, Billy. Want to put my cue collar on for this one? OK. So I don't hurt my brain talking about this. But we need cue collars when you talk. I know. Everyone should have said cue collars.
Starting point is 02:05:59 Put your cue collars on now. Billy's about to speak. I barked up the wrong tree. I got a little I was feeling myself at tight end university. I was running some doons and drills. Check out PMTV next Thursday. It's gonna have all of it in it. It's actually really awesome. And I challenge Will Compton to one-on-ones. And I got the clamps put on me. I try to run a couple fades on them and failed. And, you know, looking back, the best man won. He just plays the next level defense and I couldn't get it over.
Starting point is 02:06:35 But Billy, the throws were late. Shut up Hank. No, no, I'm not going to comment. I could have made a play. I could have made a play. Look, you're never going to get a perfect comment. I could have made a play. I could have made a play. Look, you're never gonna get a perfect situation. I could have made a play and I didn't make the play. One thing I will say is that if you watch the tape, like Will Compton just throws, like he played my hands perfectly on the one rep and I couldn't bring it, come down with it. I hate you so.
Starting point is 02:06:58 Hank, I recall you saying probably, I don't know, 300 times during football season, if you can touch it, you can catch it. Where, pray tell, where did that second pass hit Billy on that beautiful goal on fade that I threw? No, I could make a play on the ball and I couldn't come down with it. I was forgetting what Billy said after, right after.
Starting point is 02:07:16 Well, yeah, right after, right after Billy initially. No, so funny is called a clip. Come on, we're trying to be adults, trying to be rational. All the time, push it, push it. That's a power move. That's the ball's in the air. to be rational. Those things push it. That's a power move. That's how it's good. In the air.
Starting point is 02:07:26 Right. I thought I had it. I thought Billy reaches out to catch it. He goes pussy and then we'll just hit it out of his hands. So Billy, will is the best. He's he obviously like makes fun of himself a lot. He did play in the NFL. I know, but like,
Starting point is 02:07:46 he's like a better athlete than you by leaps and bounds. I know, but like in my brain, 11, I don't fault my brain for giving me the gift of being way too overconfident and thinking that I'm just being delusional. It's gotten me a lot of places. It makes me fail a lot, but you know what? I, you know, I got to test myself and my brain is just testing my body all the time. This is like when when we have the argument every year, like could Alabama beat so and so
Starting point is 02:08:18 team? And you're like, well, that team is full of draft picks and they all play in the NFL. So they're all very, very, very, very good. Even if they're not, even if the 53rd man on the roster, they're still better than a lot of guys. So could Williams beat Nebraska in football? Maybe if they called the linebackers on Nebraska for passenger affairs. If Scott Frost was coaching, he'd find a way to lose. In 2022, Williams was one of the only undefeated teams
Starting point is 02:08:50 in the NCAA. Are they in the NCAA? Yeah, technically. Okay, nice. But it was also great to see C. Grant run around out there. There's another last note from Titanew as he was just running around there like a player and it's good to see C. Grant run around out there. There's a thousand of them. My other last note from Titan New is he was, you know, just running around there like a player and it's good to see.
Starting point is 02:09:09 I'm so comfortable. Yeah, so Grant, I don't want to report anything, but Rob Brunkowski was in the front row paying extra close attention to the coaching that they were doing at Titan University. He was actually like participating in the drills, listening very intently. I don't make it that what you will,
Starting point is 02:09:28 but he was trying to get better at playing tight end. For what reason that might be, I don't know. He was also, by the way, I have to say, Greg Olson, I was like, in there, Greg Olson is an amazing coach. Like, just from, he's an amazing guy. Yeah. He's an amazing guy, but like, just seeing him coach, like what he knows up front, he's amazing amazing. Yeah, he's he's an amazing guy But like just seeing him coach like what he knows up front. He's amazing in the booth, but that guy like He's amazing in the booth, but he should be coaching. I'm just saying I'm just saying I just triggered
Starting point is 02:09:57 I had one other firefresser real quick. I Greg Olson We interviewed him. I'll come out in the next couple of weeks I mean he's all time, you know He's been a stooly for 12 years. He's been on the show a bunch. He's a legitimate friend. So I met his son and we were like joke around I think his son's like maybe around like 10 or 11 and I was like so like Greg you got him Are you get him into bar stool yet and Greg's like eyes not there yet I was like, what do you mean? He's not guessing that ass. And then I everyone was like, what did you just say? I'm like, yeah, that was probably too much.
Starting point is 02:10:34 Kelsey actually heard that and just walked away. So whoops, that was my mistake. I mean, the joke landed. Greg laughed. Yeah, it's a good joke. Oh, counts. Yeah, yeah. It's a good joke. All right, Jay,
Starting point is 02:10:46 oh, there's one other note from Titan University. I guess we'll probably see this on PMTV. Josh Allen saw Max. Yeah. And had a reaction to seeing Max. And don't spoil it, don't spoil it, don't spoil it. I'm not just PMTV PMT Thursday, Thursday. Yeah, find out with Josh's reaction to seeing Max Wars. Wow, I'm the only one that doesn't know this. I'm on the edge of my seat. Oh, it's good. The tournament on Thursday. Yeah, it's good. It's good. Jake finishes off. Yeah, so last week I was on Long Island playing golf with my cousin and we had a rainstorm lightning thunder after the fifth hole. So we had to leave, went back to his house, had ended up taking his twin daughters to a roller skating drop off birthday party,
Starting point is 02:11:33 and he walked in, dropped them off. I was sitting in the car, he texted me five minutes later. It wasn't a drop off. I was stuck at a roller skating rink for two hours after thinking I'd be playing golf an hour before. Wait, did you, did he leave you in the car like a dog? No. Oh, you came into the party. Yeah, I walked in. Oh, no, no, I did it. Wait, you only played five holes? Five holes and then it ended up at a roller skating ring
Starting point is 02:12:08 for two hours. Did any, any, what, what hole was the fake hole in one plan for? I think it was seven. Okay, so that's the extra insult to injury. I know. Almost. There's cake, yeah, I stay away. You didn't need to cake?
Starting point is 02:12:27 No, I wasn't supposed to be there. So what'd you end up doing? Did you just sit on a table the entire time? I just stood up to the side. We were standing. I think Jake roller skating. Wait, Jake, were you standing or sitting? At least you played an arcade game.
Starting point is 02:12:44 Yeah, you stayed off to the side and look at the arcade games. You play any? No. I just played on my phone. For two hours, what kind of battery you got on that thing? I mean, you were just on the course of the second and you probably didn't have a full charge.
Starting point is 02:13:01 Yeah, I made it work. That's a hilarious Jake. Yeah, this is a complicated Jake. That's a, I think he roller skated. Yeah. I think it work. That's hilarious, Jake. Yeah, this is a long-skated Jake. That's a, yeah. I think he roller skated. Yeah, I think he roller skated. Oh, nice. Oh, means he's there.
Starting point is 02:13:13 Let's go, memes. Memes also just texted me, I took a couple of your zins. I will pay you back. What is, what are you gonna pay me 50 cents? You're gonna have a new 10 on your deck? I don't need one. You're good means you're good by me I thought of doing that so many times. I can't believe you actually took your good by me means you're good, bro Beams have thought you ever gotten this numbers 69
Starting point is 02:13:44 I thought you didn't care about 69 anymore, Billy 21. No. Well now I got this cue color on all this bloods in my brain And I'm operating on a different level. I might start rocking this all the time you guys are in for a world trouble Yeah, it's a cock ring for your head. I'll go with eight. Yeah, 20 Hank. What'd you guess? 21.
