I think we finally have, for all the sickos and perverts out there, the max they've been looking for the last week. threatening to retire from sports, which would then make him retire from his job. He's facing that.
Starting point is 00:00:36 It's been tough. It might be retiring from caring about sports. Yeah, we had a great Chiefs Raiders game, some awesome games, including actually Sunday Night Football, where the Panthers look really good. And we're going to do it all. Who's Back of the Weeks and baseball as well? What are you looking at me for, Hank? You're just looking at me?
Starting point is 00:00:56 The Patriots won as well. I wasn't. Oh. Are we going to point? You have a point? Nothing. Okay, it's all brought to you by our friends at Body Armor. This episode is brought to you by Body Armor Flash IV.

Starting point is 00:01:47 Body armor Flash IV, go get it today. Okay, let's go. Welcome to a part of my take presented by Draft Kings. The Crown is yours. today is Monday, October 5th, week for BFWAP. Whip! Wap! BFT, did we have a game in London to start?
Starting point is 00:02:35 You're bloody right, we did. We go to London, where Marcus' bloody Marriota was burning the Colts at the stake, leading the redcoats on the attack against Le Bleu, put in a touching tribute to Big Ben. The clock, he ended up in a walking boot. Oh, hi there, Marcus, who want to just slip her little cookies and me? Put those little Hawaiian feet inside me, like their fables on the beach. So in came the Greek freak, Athen Calliak Manus, who hit the defense with the spin of coper to move.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Quentin Nelson had an obsession with his running back, shoving anyone to the ground who came near his Jonathan Taylor made. Meanwhile, Tyler Warren Zivon was a werewolf in London. A roo-hoo! Little old cheating got mutilated late last week. The best play of the game came when the calic maniac dropped back, and a whop, and a whop! And I'm a cold man. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
Starting point is 00:03:30 He was rumbling, bumble it, stumbling, big man. But it wasn't enough to stave off indie coach Carly Ray Jepson Erse. Hey, I just inherited you, and this is crazy. But can I listen to PlayColes, maybe? who is in writing the notebook so that when our commanders fans lose our brains, it will be there to remind us of how bad we were on this day. Colts 30, commanders 13. In Chicago back stateside where Ben Johnson had a case of the quarterback controversy,
Starting point is 00:04:02 as people wondered all week whether it would be Keenham or Bejant. And when the Bears lined up for the first Snap Sunday, coach said, why not both? It was ultimately Mike Tyson Bejant who played the rest of the game, telling the Jets defense, you till you love me and if you don't love me i'll just hand the ball off to kyle now here's a monong guy for 146 yards and two touchdowns as for the jets g no means no please don't throw that pass into the dirt as they mustered 157 yards of offense on the day such a lackluster performance
Starting point is 00:04:32 has head coach erin glen quagmire's goodwill starting to peter out as the jets may be at their lowest and he may be looking for a new giggedy very soon bears 23 Jets 12. In soggy Philadelphia, Max is on the scene. We head over to Philadelphia where the Eagles defense and Rams' offense were in a hand fight early, but it was Matthew's staff infection who was screaming Mercia while throwing two early interceptions. Jake Not So Smelliot was able to capitalize on the Rams turnover by kicking two early field goals. Hold on a second, boom.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Speaking of Smelliot, something really sticks in this booth. I'm really sorry, Tees, but I got to go to the bathroom. Oh, no. Is it one or two, boom? It's a Tofa! Fukufa! As he gets into the end zone for the second time, right before the half. But that's it for the Eagles offense, because they fucking suck. No more puns.
Starting point is 00:05:28 They just fucking suck in the second half. And the Rams were able to do whatever the fuck they wanted in the fourth quarter to compete. And the easiest comeback of all time. Fuck this. Fuck all of this. Rams 24, Eagles 20. Thanks, Max. In Buffalo, where Hank is on the sea.
Starting point is 00:05:43 We head up to North Gillette. AKA High Mark Stadium, where the undefeated Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills take on the New England Patriots, as everyone was sat in front of their TV ready to watch, Drake and Josh. In the first quarter, Lil Romeo Dobbs told Maxwell Harrison, you can't sound like me, ride like me, or pull thimes like me, as he came down in the end zone to get the scoring started for the pets. James Dane Cook was sick of getting robbed of touchdowns by his brother, Josh Allen, So he called his own number and took one of the crib for six in the fourth quarter.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Key on, I'm a cool man. I'm a cool man. Scored, what seemed to be the go-head touchdown for the bills. But Drake May connected with Efton. Oh my God, when Glenn watches this tape, he's going to chish him to give the Patriot the lead and the win, 29, 26. Thanks, Hank. In Texas, where the Stroud Boys were seen.
Starting point is 00:06:44 standing back and standing by as CJ hoped to get his first win on the season, finding Nico Colin Kaepernick for two scores as he tried to bring America's team to their knees once and for all. But it was Dallas and their quarterback. Dak Prescott Stapp, creeding the secondary perfectly and using his arms to find wide-open receivers. The game was back and forth late, and even though it was in non-emergencies, the Cowboys dialed 3-1-1 to CD. Lamber is the color of your energy. having us all say, whoa, as he caught his 17th pass of the day.
Starting point is 00:07:17 17 passes, 17. 17th pass of the day for the game-winning touchdown. Cowboys 34, Texans, 30. We go over to Cincinnati, where it's fight or flight time for Borough and Chase. Jamar Jamar Biggs Chase left early. Misa had head turned around by Faisamaska. Why me Italian? Hey, I'm a Star Wars in here. Whether Lawrence was making it wrong.
Starting point is 00:07:44 touchdowns and penalty flags as Bashal Tutankhamen played with Egypt on his shoulder and was hard to wrap up, leading the Bengals begging for their mummy. As Burroughs, psychophagus stopped a couple of interceptions and took a few scara-be-looking hits. But Brian Thomas, Uncle Jr. had all the makings of a varsity athlete on the road, even if he goes down super easy when he's back in Florida. The marriage between the Jags coach and quarterback is a good one, so it's time to to cut the cake.
Starting point is 00:08:15 They're Liam Cohen the distance. They're Cohen for speed. They're Cohen to London. Cohen to London for the next two weeks. And maybe, just maybe, they're Cohen, Cohen, back, back to Cali. Callie for the Super Bowl this year after a big one like this. Jacks 22. Bagel Sabartite.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Down to Tampa, where the Bucks try to get their first win, Zach. In Tampa. Jordan Courtney Love takes this Packers team to Nirvana early on with a pass to Matthew Golden Girls. While thanking fans in attendance for being a friend, he travels to the end zone and back again for a touchdown in six points. After some time, Jordan Loves decides to pay at the pump and hand off his savings to Big Sean Tucker,
Starting point is 00:08:59 who shouts from the backfield to the Buck's defensive line, I ain't fucking with you. You little stupid-ass bitch, I ain't fucking with you. Charging into the end zone for an effortless score. In the second half, Jordan loved the way you lied, decides to stand there and watch. me burn But that's all right
Starting point is 00:09:17 Because you love the way it hurts Just gonna stand there and make me cry But that's all right because I love the way you lie I love the way you lie As he passes the Tucker Minecraft Who keeps his focus on the football Instead of rooftops, penthouses, and urban living With Oceanfront views resulting in another Packers touchdown
Starting point is 00:09:36 Seeking possible redemption Jalen Stormy Daniel Double Ds, I mean doubles down On Aaron Out the Football to Kenneth Gain Well, well, well, what do we have here? In a touchdown, that's what it is. It's a sad touchdown. A very sad touchdown.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Summer, very sad. Packer 17, 10, 10, 14. Thanks, sack. We go down to the Bay Area and memes. We find ourselves in the land of the 12th man where it is a classic battle of bird versus nature. Justin! Throw a pick.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Tonight he's gonna throw a pick. Take a sack. He keeps laying on his back. as Justin Bieber Herbert was seeing ghosts But if it can't throw close to you I'll settle for number 42 Drake Thomas that is On the other fucking team
Starting point is 00:10:23 Then we moved to the second quarter Where Justin Timberlake Herbert was Like looking in a mirror A mirror is staring back at the D It couldn't get any clear With five defenders inside of me As he got clearly fucked from all angles The only spotlight came from Michael Keaton Mitchell
Starting point is 00:10:40 Who looked elusive with the ball and his hand chasing waterfalls. I don't want. Shane may have wrote some of these. You got it, Beam. Stay in the pocket. I got it. I don't want no scrubs,
Starting point is 00:11:01 but all the scrubs are just playing on this fucking team. Don't run to the outside because all the tackles died. And they're getting, and they're getting fucked by Amari. Seahawks 30, charges 23. Thanks, Reeves. In Las Vegas. We had the battle of the undefeated as the chiefs.
Starting point is 00:11:19 The Chiefs took on the Raiders. It was a Battle of the Stars as running back. Kenneth Schocker was able to find any hole he wanted, going for 177 and two scores. And Brock Bow-Bow-Bow-Bower Wheels caught six balls for 86 yards. Tyquan Jerry Thornton fucked the Raiders secondary like they were his student. He was a hot teacher. Inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:11:40 And Perk Cousins was relaxed in the pocket as the teams traded scores. Flint Kubiak led into the fourth, but had us asking, what are you doing after he took points off the board in a game that ended in a three-point loss? The Chiefs continue to dominate the AFC West, taking down the Raiders. 30 to 27. Standing on the corner, James Winston and Hope Oak in such a fine sight to see. It's Marvin Harrison. His dad's got a gun, so we won't do any slandering.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Come on, name. Cardinals are gaybers. Three touchdown throws from James, suck it haters. The G-Men, 36, the Cards, 24. And that is your fastest two minutes for week four in the NFL. Football season is here. And whether you're grinding through the week or gearing up for kickoff, there's one ride that's always game ready.
Starting point is 00:12:47 It's the Chevy Silverado. There's a reason Chevy is called the heartbeat of America and Silverado keeps that heartbeat strong. Whether you're towing, hauling, or tailgating, Silverado lets you show up strong and tackle any task with best-in-class standard torque, the most functional bed in the advanced tech that's Football Guy approved.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Check out current offers on the 2026, Silverado at Chevy.com. Go today, Chevy.com. Okay, week four in the books. We still got one quarter left of Sunday night football, which we'll talk about at the end. Bryce Young looking great. Week four, boys.
Starting point is 00:13:25 It was quite a week those days when we start in London and end late at night. Feels like we've been watching football for many, many hours. Also feels like this was the week of just way too many flags. Yeah. Too many injuries. Yeah, a lot of injuries, a lot of, like, particularly gruesome injuries. Yep. And we are now sitting here.
Starting point is 00:13:48 with what do we have three teams left that are undefeated. The Vikings. The Vikings, the 49ers, and the Chiefs. The Vikings, by the way, do you know that this is the 11th time they started undefeated in the Super Bowl era? I did not know that. Through four weeks.
Starting point is 00:14:03 No, I did not. Eleven times. The Chiefs started have started 4-0, 9 times. The 49ers, seven times. If I had asked you that question, you would have been like definitely the 49ers. Yeah, I was watching a video. I forget who put it together, but it was basically saying that the teams that are perfect through four weeks, it has like almost no statistical bearing on whether
Starting point is 00:14:23 or not they're going to end up as like a top five or top 10 team at the end of the year. Once you get halfway through. Yeah, the EPA video that, yeah. Yeah, the teams that are like usually towards the top, those are the ones that will usually stay towards the top. Yep. But it's not like, I mean, there are some very good four and no teams right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:40 We also now have three quarterbacks with an active wind streak, the longest active wind streak, four games in a row. Patrick Mahomes, because they're four and O. Brock Purdy, because they're four and O. J.J. McCarthy actually has four wins in a row last time he played. How about that? Yeah. So good for him. 18. Sorry, 18. 18. Uh, should we get into the games though? Let's ride. Let's ride. We start in London. Cults 30, commanders 13, PFT.
Starting point is 00:15:10 There was a moment. Yeah. In this game, I don't know if we're going to talk about the same moment. There was a moment, though, in this game where I was like, I think maybe, finally, Roger Goodell will stop this experiment. It was when Daniel Jones, well, he fumbled in the first possession.
Starting point is 00:15:25 I didn't even get my TV on and I was like, oh, the commanders must have run back a kickoff and then I looked back and I was like, oh, nope, Daniel Jones dumped him. But the interception he threw,
Starting point is 00:15:34 I think my exact tweet was like he's just a do-do quarterback. And I was like, I think maybe, like that was the vibe of the game. Yeah. And Marriota gets hurt. It's just like,
Starting point is 00:15:43 we got to stop this. No more games in London. So I actually thought the offense looked really good, With Mariotta running. Yeah. So I was excited. I was like, okay, yeah, this looks like a serviceable offense to me.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Mariotta looked like he was fast, like way faster than I had seen him run in years. And then, yeah, he got kind of rolled up on. I hear it might be the MCL. And then we don't really have a quarterback that has experience beyond him. So we put in Aethan Kalak Mianis. Yeah. And Greek freak. The Greek freak.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Who looks like you? Athen for you. I saw that. I'd been, when we drafted him, I saw some pictures. and I was like, I kind of see it, what people are saying. Then I just got bombarded with pictures. And it's very mean to Athen to be comparing him to how I look. But yeah, when I was, when I had short hair and no facial hair, he looks a lot like I did.
Starting point is 00:16:31 When you had short hair. What's up? When you had short hair. Well, you need to do, PFTs. You need to be like a lot of people have been saying I look like one of the white backup quarterbacks on the commander. Yeah, Sam Hartman. Dude, Sam Hartman, like, popped into the screen for one minute.
Starting point is 00:16:45 And I was just like, get out of here. When, from now on, when somebody says the hot white quarterback on the commanders, I'm thinking Aethin all the way. For sure. And you know what? He was fun too. He was. I said in the preseason, he, he's got a little Kirk cousins in him.
Starting point is 00:16:59 But he's actually less risk averse than Kirk ever was. So he came in and since he had never gotten any reps at all with our ones or twos, really, he just started bombing it. Yeah. He just talked to himself, well, I've got Stefan Diggs and I've got Antonio Williams. And I've got Trail-on Burks, who's taller than ever. everybody. So I'm just going to throw the ball as far as I can, as high as I can. And it kind of worked for a little bit. Yeah, you're like, he came in, he threw a pick and then he threw a 47-yard
Starting point is 00:17:24 bomb. You're like, this is going to be fun. Yeah, and he is, I would say he is a fun, as far as rookie seventh round quarterbacks go. He's probably the best of all time. I can't think of any other seventh round quarterbacks that worked out. But he, uh, I don't think he's going to be the quarterback next week. I feel like Jaden's coming back. Didn't Jay Glazer say that? Yeah. Jay I just said he's going to try to come back. And, yeah, listen, this game was going to be over no matter what after Marcus went out. The offense looked completely different. I wish the spin move, the spin a coppita was the best spin move that I've ever seen in my entire life.
Starting point is 00:17:56 A lot of guys wait until the defender is about to tackle you. He got dizzy. Yeah. Like, that was, he spun so hard he got dizzy. Yeah, a lot of guys wait until the defenders are close to you. But if you spin earlier, you might make them dizzy. Yeah. Which is what he was going for.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Yeah. And here's the next wrinkle that's coming on this. he might hit him with the fake spin move. Oh. Take two more steps and then the real spin move. I think he might do a double spin. He thought about it. Because he started so early he could have double spin.
Starting point is 00:18:20 The spin move worked. Yeah, it did. Like the defender could have got... He just could have gotten him earlier than what he did, but he was like, what the hell of that guy just do? He was like, oh, wait, no, I got attacked him. Yeah, he just hit the button too quick. That's all it was.
Starting point is 00:18:32 Yeah. He just mashed the button a little too fast. A little too fast. We've all done that before. Yeah, the game was going to be over no matter what once Marcus went down. But I very rarely... I very rarely complain about the refs. You know me.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Yeah. I'm not an excuse guy. Okay. The refs fucking suck today. Yeah. They were really, really bad. Well, we have two incidents the NFL is actually investigating too. These refs, like, I'm almost to the point where as a Second Amendment guy, we need to arm ourselves.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Like, the players should arm themselves against overreach because you had two refs, like, getting up in players' faces. And then you had this egregious display in the London game. where they called a phantom offensive passenger interference on Stefan Diggs. They called a illegal shift and a hold on Antonio Williams, like, 80-yard touchdown catch that he had. But they waited to throw the flag on the illegal shift until like three seconds into the play when he had the ball and was running. I still don't know who they called it on. And then there was no hold on that play either. and then on the Stefan Diggs catch that I talked about
Starting point is 00:19:39 they waited until like after he caught the ball took six steps got tackled and then they threw a flag out I don't know what was going on which is what happened to him last year it sucks I remember that yeah yeah yeah it's bullshit yeah and then and then they had uh there was a pass interference against Traylon Burks on what would have been like a 60 yard completion from the the Greek cannon and uh they threw a flag accurately called
Starting point is 00:20:04 pass interference and then they got together and said there's no file on the play. Yeah. So Dan Quinn, you got to, I want to hear Dan Quinn talking like I'm talking right now and take a fine for the boys because that was dirty. It was disgusting. Get kicked out of the game. Get kicked out of the game. Do something like that. We would have lost anyways probably, but I'm still going to take this time to complain about the officiating. Okay. So how are you feeling overall being one and three? The London game sucks, man. It just sucks. But also it's it's not as bad when you lose in that game because you forget about it. Yeah. Most people don't watch So like by the second half of the earlier slated games today, I kind of forgot that we lost.
Starting point is 00:20:42 It's like losing in like the noon window of the first Thursday of March Madness. Yes. And by like Friday, everyone's like, wait, you were in the tournament? Yeah. I don't even remember. Yeah. So I kind of moved on from it. And I think what really hurts is that I, the reason I moved on from it so quickly is because I think I'm just about in danger of moving on from the season.
Starting point is 00:21:03 You got to hold on for a little. I got hold on because... Jayden's coming back next week. Yeah, we got the G-Men. They're leading the division. Jaden's back next week. Oh, you have to do that to your boy, James? Got to do it to James.
Starting point is 00:21:14 I hope against 9-2.0. No, dude, James keep in his job. Hold James back. Say something nice about the commanders this week. I thought that our defense played well enough to win that football game. Our defense looked really good in the first half, and then we just... We kept giving them really, really short fields,
Starting point is 00:21:33 and there was nothing that we could do. but I think the defense is coming together really nicely and that's a good surprise considering how dog shit we've been on that side of the ball for the last. It feels like five or six years. But that defense, I think that Durante Jones is doing a great job.
Starting point is 00:21:48 So, you know, that's why I'm not giving up on the season just yet with Jayden coming back and the defense getting better. So we'll see. We'll see what happens. All right. As for the Colts, they've kind of righted to the ship a little bit, start O and 2.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Now they're 2 and 2. I still don't know. I don't really trust Daniel Jones at all. He just feels like he just turns the ball over so, so much. Shane Stuyken even was asked about it. I think he had seven total turnovers in four games. He said, I think he's done some really good things and then some things we need to clean up.
Starting point is 00:22:22 That's putting it nicely. Jonathan Taylor remains one of the best backs in the league, and he just has to be their workhorse, which he was again. He now has the most rushing yards in international game history. So that's kind of cool. Yeah, he's, uh, slime for that or something. Him and Sauce Gardner oversees merchants.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Well, yeah, sauce Gardner had a tough day. Yeah. He was getting cooked. Uh, Jonathan Taylor also smart enough to, to, to drink the tea, not the beer. You put the pinky up. Yeah, he put the pinky up.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Uh, by, by the way, memes, the sauce gardener traded, like, maybe trade of the year or traded, trade of the decade. One of the greatest trades all the time. Yeah, he is, he does not look like the same guy. And it's pretty apparent. He got cooked a couple times.
Starting point is 00:23:03 But yeah, I think the Colts, I'm not ready to say the Colts are good, but at least they've gotten back to 500. And I don't really understand what Mrs. Ursae all due respect is doing on the sideline. Because she's now like going up and asking questions. Yeah, yeah. It's getting a little, it feels a little, little much. It's pretty in your face today. Yeah. I think.
Starting point is 00:23:23 What are you saying, Hank? She turns to her and Jerry Jones. Joe Jones is not asking questions on the sideline. No? No, he's usually in a suite. Arthur Blank? other blank comes down at the end of the game I agree
Starting point is 00:23:35 Why are you calling me a misogynist? No, okay The thing is she's calling everyone misogynist She's always done this though Me? Like this is her This is her thing that she does And she doesn't
Starting point is 00:23:49 Toxic masculinity She's asking questions to like learn about the process Yeah Which I'm fine with But she's been doing this for like 10 years You know she but it was weird Because I think maybe it's just they're showing her more That's really all it comes out to
Starting point is 00:24:01 So she's been doing the same thing Yeah. But now that they're showing her more when she, I think there was a moment where she did ask someone a question in the middle of the game. It's like, I have no idea how the sideline works. Like, I think we talked about this on maybe even last Monday show. But it does seem that she's getting closer to the-
Starting point is 00:24:16 Right, that's what I'm saying. Like physically closer. She's inching closer to the guys. Yeah. And I think that question might have been from pre-game. Okay. I don't think that was- I don't think that was during the game.
Starting point is 00:24:25 They fooled us. All right. So you know what, Ms. Ursa, do what you got to do. Yeah, girl-ball. Go on with your bad self. But she is getting close. Which actually, listen, if the team, I think that how she should operate, and I'm not trying to tell her how to do her job, but as she, as it is, if the team's doing poorly, she should basically get closer and closer until she's standing right behind Shane Steichen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:45 And then if they're winning, maybe back off. Mm-hmm. That's really what it should be. She should be Shane Steikin's holdback guy when, when they're on a losing streak. Yeah. It's always fun when the owner is in the shot as the head coach if they're losing the game. Yeah. That's always good.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Athen is the only quarterback this year who has attempted six or more passes 30 plus yards down field in the game. Whoa. So if he does come back in, at least we have a fun backup quarterback. Yeah, very fun. Very fun.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Yeah. Okay. Should we go stateside? Yeah, Hank, did you have anything in this game? You were asking me some questions earlier, so I didn't know if you had any questions. You have some questions, Hank? No, I was just saying,
Starting point is 00:25:26 it was probably exciting for you to watch, you know, if you're QB of the future. Like, obviously he's a rookie, but it's like, It's something to get excited about. Yeah. I think he is a backup QB of the future. They're trying to push Jaden out. For sure.
Starting point is 00:25:39 I think Jaden, whatever's going on on his elbow is just pushing himself out every time he plays. You're saying there's something about Athin that you trust. No, he just, he would. Sounds a little bit racist. No, no, no. He's just, he can, he's on the field. He's on the field. He's on the field.
Starting point is 00:25:56 He's on the field. Jaden can't stay on the field. and like so your quarterback the future is going to need to be on the field. That's one thing I'm going to pass that along to Adam Peters for the next time he scouts a QB
Starting point is 00:26:09 should be on the field. Well yeah, the pictures, those pictures were out there. Which ones? Of his elbow. Oh, before the drafts you mean? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was the other elbow though. But still, you know.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Body symmetry. Yeah, yeah, body symmetry. That's why everyone's attracted at the ends up Washington. He's going to be back. He's going to be back and he's never going to get hurt again next week. and you'll see, Hank. Yeah, you'll see. You'll see.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Max, yeah, did you know Denzel Washington's face is perfectly symmetrical? That's why it's so good looking. Didn't know that. Yeah. All of us mere mortals have just, like, you know, one eye is smaller than the other. Yeah, I'm in the- It's like, when you turn your phone on selfie mode, you're like, whoa. Yeah, you're like, gross.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Denzel turns out. He's like, damn, I am perfect. Ethan has a perfectly symmetrical face, too. I think number one of the league. Nice. Yeah. That's exciting. Very exciting.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah. Really good looking quarterback. Really good looking quarterback. Should probably grow his hair out. Nah, he looked trashy. Okay. Hank. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Patriots 29, Bill's 26. You got a little pep in your step. I didn't want a game. It's not doom and gloom. No. It's a great game. Great game. Drake May.
Starting point is 00:27:21 He might be back because he's like, that was a hell of a drive that he takes him down the field for the winning score. Efton Chisholm, what a catch. Yeah, I mean, Matt Collins got hurt. AJ Brown's already heard. It was like, we were joking, like, Efton Chisholm, wide receiver one. And sure enough.
Starting point is 00:27:37 He's wide receiver one. One-handed catch, Strait May, scrambling, third down, third and six, I think it was. Scramed. No, it was, we can get, third and five, PFTE was in the cave, being like, if you look at the yard, it's actually third and six.
Starting point is 00:27:52 He was listed third and then as he rolled out through a touchdown, Efton Chisholm, one-handed catch, snagged it down, if she was, that was third and five, that was third and five. I don't think it's out when. I think, I think Tate said that. But yeah, no, there was one great play he made on third and five,
Starting point is 00:28:05 one great play that he made on third and seven today. So, yeah, I mean, listen, Drake May played really, really good today. I'll even say that the interception that he had, not his fault. No, not at all. Not his fault. I would love to say.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Oh, the one where the guy fell on the ball and it popped up. Yeah, yeah. It wasn't a great throw, but it shouldn't have been an interception. If it was a better throw. Tape discipline, we got to practice tape. So I can't comment on it until I've studied people who study the tape because I don't watch it myself. But typically you want your receiver to catch it in stride so that they can what?
Starting point is 00:28:38 He's still running. Keep running, yeah. So if you dive, then that's the only way that the ball would be able to get flipped out like that. Yeah, no, not a great throw. And then I will not put that. The fumble, there was a clear miss hands of the face on the offensive lineman. That's like what caused the fumble. Oh, it caused that fumble?
Starting point is 00:28:55 We're going to complain about officiating now? No, I'm just, I'm saying, I'm looking past that. I would never. It felt like, you know, we were getting bad turnover look again. He came out slow in the second half, too. There was a couple of like three and out drives where it was like, we got to get something going, was getting nothing going. But he came back in the fourth quarter, scrambled well, hit guys we needed to hit him. Forth, converted on fourth downs.
Starting point is 00:29:18 It was, it was awesome. Romeo Dobbs scored twice. It was a, it was a great game, and we just own the bills. We own Highmark Stadium. And that's our stadium. That's your stadium. Yeah. We have as many wins there as the bills do.
Starting point is 00:29:31 That is true. And infinity less losses. That's also not true. The first stat was not true. They're two and one there. You're one and oh. They've won two games there. Got it.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Almost as many wins. But you have infinity less losses. Infinity less losses is fact. Which is pretty impressive. Listen, for the bill side of it, the bill's defense. defense is in trouble. They do not look good.
Starting point is 00:30:00 And then, I mean, Josh threw a meatball sub at the end of the game. He shouldn't have thrown that ball. Yeah, it was a hero ball. You don't, you're just trying to get three points. You're trying to go to overtime. Second down, too. It didn't make sense. There was two guys covering them.
Starting point is 00:30:11 That one made no sense. And it just felt like, yeah, he was trying, he was trying to be the hero in that moment when all he needed to do was, you know, get 25 yards to tie the game with more than enough time left, a minute left, all three timeouts, just to completely. that felt like a throw with 10 seconds left in the game. And it's like they just needed to get down the field a little bit more. Like just even get down the field and take a shot to the end zone. But that throw made no sense and was the end of the game.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Yeah, it seemed like that was a panic throw in his part. There was also maybe the best throwaway I've ever seen from Josh. Yeah. Behind the back. Oh, yeah. Behind the back. I think there were enough people around that they didn't call it. I think it was something that they didn't get picked off.
Starting point is 00:30:54 It happened. It was so like. It was such a crazy, impressive throwaway that the refs didn't even, like, realize what was happening and didn't realize it was intentional grounding. I didn't realize an intentional grounding. If you go back and look at it, it definitely was. But it was also Keon Coleman's, like, breakout game because DJ Moore got hurt again. Kean Coleman had, like, 100, what do you have, 116 yards? And he looked really good.
Starting point is 00:31:20 But yeah, it's like the bills are kind of in the same spot they're always in, where it's like the defense is just not. It doesn't feel like the defense is great. And then if Josh doesn't play perfect, they're going to be in trouble. But it was also like a very tough, hard-fought win for the Patriots to come back in this game and win that game. And Drake May kind of silence the haters for a minute, like the Glenn tape watches of the world. Yeah. Just everyone.
Starting point is 00:31:45 But yeah, it was good to get back. It was a must compete. Not only did we compete, we won division win. Seasons back on. Yeah. This was a classic. classic Vrable spot. Did you see Vrable after in the post game in the locker room?
Starting point is 00:32:01 He said, we're going to fight until they cut our fucking hands off, okay? I promise you until they fucking chop them off. We're going to fucking fight and we're going to fucking swing. Is he like a pickpocketer in Thailand? Who's going to cut off his hands? Why is his hands getting it cut off? That's the fight game.
Starting point is 00:32:18 That's just a fight game. Your hands eventually could get cut off. Yeah. Okay. Well, Chisham only needs one. It's true. Yeah. CJ Gardner Johnson too
Starting point is 00:32:27 It's just all time quote All time cope That is just who he is He's never lost He's never lost He said afterwards about Chisham An elevated guy made a hell of a catch Probably won't hear from him again respectfully
Starting point is 00:32:39 A practice squad player made a hell of a play They ain't do shit better than us Well they did win the game And Chisholm is not a practice squad guy No But that is also CJ Gardner Johnson I feel like he has to say something crazy To get himself motivated
Starting point is 00:32:52 He's kind of wired that way I loved it. Couldn't get enough. You were so happy. Yeah, it was a great win. It was a great win. The start of the second half, it felt like, here we go again.
Starting point is 00:33:04 It was like two, three and outs, maybe they got one, you know, first down conversion and then punting it. It was just like, we got nothing going. Injuries piling up. Matt Collins went out. No one to throw to, didn't matter.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Just an amazing throw and catch on that, on that play at the end of the game. Did we find out what happened in Matt Collins? It was non-contact. I don't know what came after the game, but it didn't look good. Like it was non-contact injury, and he had to, like, hop off on one foot.
Starting point is 00:33:35 This also is, like, Josh Allen in the last two games. And AJ Brown, once he comes back. Yeah. Buzz it. Josh Allen, last two games, has not been great. He says, uh, one pass touchdown, three interceptions.
Starting point is 00:33:47 Uh, so four turnover, four turnovers total. And it does feel like that's, uh, You know, not, like, not good enough, not that it's just they have to, they have to play not perfect ball on offense, but they can't be given the ball away. You can't be making those mistakes because their defense can't, isn't good enough to stop when that happens. Hank, did you notice anything different about the Patriots offense this week? No.
Starting point is 00:34:15 They ran motion so much. So much. So like last week, I believe up until last week they were in the bottom like three or 14. in terms of motion rate before the snap. And then this week they said, no, we're going to fix all that. And they had the highest motion rate that they've had in, I believe,
Starting point is 00:34:34 three or four years. So like McDaniels just went dummy with the motion. He did something different. I love that. Made some fixes. Do you feel bad at all knowing how much the people of Buffalo love us and we love the people of Buffalo
Starting point is 00:34:46 that you just keep doing this to them? No. Zero percent. I love it. As a matter of fact. You actually revel in it? Yes. enjoy it so much.
Starting point is 00:34:55 Okay. That's mean. It is what it is. It is. They loved it. It's business. They loved it when Josh Allen had that perfect game against Mac Jones. Remember that?
Starting point is 00:35:05 In the playoffs? Yeah. Yeah. They had a perfect game. Would you say they're like the chief rival now? Or do you not have a rival? Is it still like Mahomes? It's the Seahawks.
Starting point is 00:35:19 It's the Seahawks. Revenge. The Seahawks are your number one rival. my homes too my homes because my homes is like although the the brady stuff now is kind of weird uh wait what it's just like things that things have gotten weird in like the i think your number one rival might be tom brady no no it's not but it's like i i i i love tom brady i die for tom brady but i don't i'm now just i'm focused on drick may and drick may's legacy for a while there it was like i really didn't want mahomes to win because i didn't want him to you know climb up brady's
Starting point is 00:35:55 goat status, but now it's like, I just want Drake Me to get there. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But yeah, it's probably Mahomes, Josh Allen. It's good win. Good win. Anything else on the game? Drake May back?
Starting point is 00:36:08 Back all the way back. Fully back. Yeah, Wintober. Wintober. Wintober. What about leftober? Locktober, as well. Wintover with Locktober, okay.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Leftober maybe. Okay. So all the way back. Or was it Left Vimber? For October. Okay. all the way back, no problems. No problems.
Starting point is 00:36:28 So you have next week. Are you worried about Glenn Tapewatch? Raiders. Never have been, never will be. It's a, it's a, I don't know why it points. I'm already, I'm already, it's already an overplayed bit. It's going to be like nine minutes somehow next week. God doesn't know how to cut anything down.
Starting point is 00:36:42 I actually saw it. It's been 3.57, uh, on the dot the last two weeks. Wow. Yeah. So nine minutes was just a lot. I just feel bad for Quigs, but. Why is that? All whatever, whatever Glenn.
Starting point is 00:36:55 can't do himself, which is everything. I don't, I, it sounds like you would put Glenn up there and your chief rivals. And I don't know that he's, I don't know that he'd say the same about you. He's not, it's like nothing he says.
Starting point is 00:37:07 He's not, he's like, it's a, he doesn't even know who you are. I'm worried about football. This is like a parody, like it's a, it's a brand of comedy that I,
Starting point is 00:37:15 like, I understand some people like it. I personally don't. Okay. All right. Like, it's like, but that's, I'm not, I'm not knocking other people for enjoying it. It's like everyone to each,
Starting point is 00:37:25 their own. I happen to enjoy. Yeah, enjoy what you like. Like, I don't, like, I'm not going to go out of my way to watch it, but like, some people will. That's good for them. Yeah, some people. But it's not a rivalry thing.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Some people like comedy is like the hangover. And some people like comedy is like the hangover three. And that's okay. Glenn is your, like, Big Bang Theory to you? You're like, there's a lot of people who like it and watch it, but I don't understand it. Exactly. Okay. That's right.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Yeah. I don't think Glenn gets you either. I've actually never watched an episode of Big Bang Theory. Neither have I. Or how I met you Super popular Yeah Yeah I never watched
Starting point is 00:37:59 How I met your mother either Max watched it in the bath You do? My favorite show It's your favorite show The show is washing the bath I watch it every single night Before I go to bed
Starting point is 00:38:07 Mine too Both of you Your favorite show Not on the bath But Bath Sometimes in bath How I met your mother
Starting point is 00:38:17 Is it is a I put on before I go to sleep Every single night Favorite show What's your favorite episode? It's like my most watch show. Favorite show may not be the right word, but it's my most watch
Starting point is 00:38:29 show. So it's like your go-to for when you're trying to turn your brain off. It's like your pinky. Yeah. Yeah. It's like you know what's going to happen. They're going to eventually tell us how they met the mother eyes. Isn't the end? Isn't that how they met like suck? Yeah, that end blows. Oh, no. And you can still watch it? The ending's fine.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Sounds like Max. Did you cry? No, I didn't cry. I knew. I knew that was what the ending was going to be. Was it just in a bar? No. No. It was just the real show wasn't about, spoiler alert. It was about the moms they met us in the way.
Starting point is 00:39:04 It was about, it wasn't about. The mom fucking dies. The mom dies. And it's about getting together with another girl and asking the kids for their permission, kind of. The entire show builds up to this one moment where he meet. How do we get here? I want to hear this. I want to hear this.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Clearly both passionate about that show, which I love. When he finally meets the mom. Yeah. Okay. And she gets cancer and dies. Okay. And then you ask, and then they ask the kids, can I, can I get together with my friend that you consider your aunt? That he met in episode one.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Episode one. And he goes on and on. The whole show is the romance between him and this friend. Okay. And then they finally tell you how he met the mother. But then they're done with the mother and go back to the friend. So how I met your mother. The mother's never in it?
Starting point is 00:39:55 No. The mother's in it for like half a season. But she's dead. And bits and pieces. Did she die in the first season? No. No. She dies.
Starting point is 00:40:02 Last episode. The last episode she dies. But it's all, it's all. Is it a pre? It's, how do I explain it? Wait, wait. Was the mother that end up dying?
Starting point is 00:40:11 How I made her mother is, is she friends with the woman that they're telling a story. Bob Saggat's a dad. He's telling his children the story of how he met their mother. So it's his entire 20s and 30s up until he made. the mother, but then they get to when he finally tells his kids how they met the mother. So it gets to present time. And then they're like, oh, your mom died? By the way, no, the mom was always dead.
Starting point is 00:40:35 So it's always telling the kids about how he met their mother that died. But then when they get to the point where he met the mother, he asks the kids, can I marry, can I marry this other woman? Yeah, he sits him down. He's like, oh, it's a long story. And they're like, ha, ha, ha, plays. It's really just a story of him and this other woman. I'm so confused.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Like the original mom, did she know the woman that would eventually raise her kids? Oh, yeah. So at the end, they like got. So this guy's wife died and then he's like, I'm going to marry her best friend. No, no, no, no. Well, they were friends. Isn't this what Hunter Biden did? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:11 I don't know anything about Hunter. I don't know anything about that. Wait, so at the end of the show, it's just him being like, and that's how I met your mother. Can I now fuck your aunt? Yes. Yes. Okay. Literally, like, I'm pretty sure he says, he says, like, those exact words.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Okay. All right. And we're supposed to be like, this is such a sweet show about the mom. No, it's supposed to be like, oh, they finally, like. We finally got an answer to the aunt, the aunt and. But how did he meet the mother? At the aunt's wedding. At a train station in the rain.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Oh. Those are two different answers. At the wedding. At the wedding. The wedding happened at a train station. So the aunt's married, but now she got to. She got divorced. She got divorced to Neil Patrick Harris.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Got it. Okay. But how those shows are filmed, they filmed the first and last episode immediately right away, like how it ends. So that's why you get to the end. You're like, wait, what the fuck is this? That's what it always was. You just don't know it as an audience. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:42:12 So they met while they were running a train with the aunt. No. No, it just happened to be at a train. At a train. It was raining. She was the. wedding singer. God.
Starting point is 00:42:23 The guitarist. God. She was in the wedding band. All right. Cowboys 34, Texans 30. Drake Mays back. Drake Mays back. CD Lamb.
Starting point is 00:42:36 The CD Lamb game. 17 catches 189 yards and a touchdown. This game was awesome. Unfortunately for the Texans, they're owned four, and they just cannot time up their offense and their defense at the same time. At all. At all. Because the offense, the offense looked pretty good.
Starting point is 00:42:52 C.J. Stratt had a great game today. Nico Collins back. It makes a big difference. Like CJ Stroud, I know they lose this game. C.J. Stroud had the ball down 2723 with like six minutes left. He goes down the field 87 yards to score touchdown. That should be enough for the Cowboys, for the Texans defense to shut the door.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Well, and it wasn't. It's that. And also at some point, the Texans need to figure out how to run the football. Yeah. Because they have not been able to do that. No. The key is if you have a great defense like they should have in theory, it didn't look great today.
Starting point is 00:43:30 But if you have a great defense, you can get away with having C.J. Stroud play average ball if you can run the football. But he didn't even play average. He played good today. And he played great today, but they still can't. The larger point is they had a lead. They were up 16 to 6 at halftime. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:45 If you run the football in the second half, you can eliminate a lot of those points. And you can take about, but they've consistently. over the course the last three years, they have not been able to run the football at all. And Dak got just like super hot. I mean, that, what are you laughing about, Max? After Zach did it is
Starting point is 00:44:04 after we cut the mic, Zach goes, I've only watched half of it. You just spoiled that for me. Come on, Zach. I didn't want to ruin the moment. You guys were going there, but like, yeah, the whole show's done. Tanked. Absolutely tanked.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Seems that I've been to die for five minutes. Wait, Zach, What are your thoughts as somebody that hasn't watched the whole show but was looking forward to it? What are your thoughts on the ending? I honestly kind of stupid. Oh, was that you, we said spoiler you should have left. I didn't want you, it was going so well. You couldn't, you couldn't interrupt that.
Starting point is 00:44:37 Yeah. That was period each of has. It really was. All right. You guys have thoughts on the, the, I mean, the Cowboys are, offense is electric. C.D. Lamb is just, he's so fucking good. 17 catches is nuts. Nuts.
Starting point is 00:44:50 nuts. And he had 11. for 140 yards in a touchdown in the second half alone. And the Cowboys broke their streak. They had, they had lost 32 straight road games when trailing by double digits in the second half, which was the longest active streak of its kind in the NFL. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:07 I mean, the Cowboys are dangerous. If they could never figure out their defense, which they really couldn't in this game because, again, C.J. Stroud looked good and Nico Collins. It basically comes down to if the Texans have Nico Collins on the field, their offense is now, I'm confident enough in, C.J. Stroud that he's not going to be total ass. If he's not on the field, then I, you're going to have to win the game like 13.10.
Starting point is 00:45:28 The whole offense goes as far as him having a weapon. Yeah. Yeah. And they, yeah, now the Texas defense has to match it. Also, I, C.J. Stroud said after the game, uh, on last season's success means nothing now. Uh, he said, you have to be an iPhone. You have to upgrade every year. Doesn't that mean they'd get a new iPhone, like a new quarterback?
Starting point is 00:45:49 You trade out. Right. And what is he talking about the software? upgrade? I don't know because I like that kills your battery right and also like most people like they'll have an iPhone I usually
Starting point is 00:45:59 have for a couple years and then get a new one because it's just like gets so slow so like they're basically CJ like it's time for a new iPhone if we're going with that analogy. I want my quarterback thinking about a Wii phone. That's a selfish bullshit. Yeah exactly. He's uh
Starting point is 00:46:14 yeah if he has a weapon out there he's going to be great um if his defense steps up and again I haven't really seen the same level of like intimidation, ferociousness out of the defense that we saw like pretty much all last year. No, Kumari Laster, I think, was the one who got picked on a lot today. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:33 I see these also, he's just so fucking good. And it's got to, do you think it pisses off? I guess my point is if you're a great defense, like if you're going to be a great defense like the Texans have had for the past two years, you should be able to figure out how to stop one guy from getting 17 catches for 189 yards. Agreed. Like great defenses.
Starting point is 00:46:51 don't typically allow that to happen. Especially when that guy has beads at the bottom of his hair like he just got back from Jamaica. Do you see that? Yeah, you can, you won't lose him. That, that, do you think that pisses off? Like, like, I'm getting beat by the guy with, with, with, with, with, with beads in his hair?
Starting point is 00:47:06 The alternative is get beat by the guy with three mouthpieces. True. With George Pickens. True. George Pickens did have that awesome catch. Yeah. That awesome deep catch. I will say for Texans fans, um, I'm buying stock in the Texans now, right now.
Starting point is 00:47:21 They're 0 and 4. They're plus 270 to make the playoffs right now. Their next six games are at the Titans. I think they're going to win that game. Okay. I think they're going to get their first win next weekend. Then they get the Jaguars at home, which is a massive game that if you can somehow find a way to win that
Starting point is 00:47:39 and the Jaguars are going to get to next have been really, really good. But if you find a way to win that game, that's a divisional game, that's huge for morale, everything. Giants at home, which I think the Giants, like, as nice as the three and one, start has been for the Giants. That's a, that's a defense, a offense that the Texans defense should be able to contain at the Chargers, which the Chargers might just be dead. We'll get to them. Like, that's just a lifeless team. At the Brown's Colts. Now, Browns, like, are playing great
Starting point is 00:48:09 ball, Colts two and two. I'm not saying any of these are gimmies. Maybe the Titans is a gimmie. But I'm at least saying in the next six games, I can see there being a little bit of wins here where they can maybe get some momentum going. Because I do think this team is not just all of a sudden bad. I think they have a combination of, again, not matching up. Who just scored? Not Amun Ra. Not Amon Rao.
Starting point is 00:48:32 La Porta. They have a combination of not matching up their offense and defensive games at the same time and also playing some pretty good teams. Like they've started the schedule against some pretty good teams. Yeah, Cowboys have an explosive offense for sure. I have a question for you, Big Cap. Yeah. Is Brandon Aubrey washed?
Starting point is 00:48:49 Well, he got one blocked today. He missed a 62-yarder that was blocked, and he missed a 65-yarder today. Is this guy washed or what? He might be washed. Might be washed. Might not be giving up a first-round pick for him anymore. Nope. But yeah, I think I'm buying it in...
Starting point is 00:49:05 I would be stock in the Texans right now. I would be too. I would be two. I think that the... It's weird because their offense does look much improved, especially when they have Collins on the field. Yeah. Just learn how to run the football. I was looking at various things.
Starting point is 00:49:18 I think there's... they're over under for wins right now is seven and a half eight and a half would be juiced uh you know plus money so just some things to think about just some things to think about and the cowboys are i feel like this was the launch pad for them to go on a little bit of a run because they get uh the buccaneers on short rest which that should be a win for the cowboys yep i would assume maybe a get right game for their defense uh so i i feel like the cowboys are going to maybe rip off some wins here and their offense is just so, so good. I don't really know what else to say than, like,
Starting point is 00:49:52 I don't know how you contain the weapons that they have. Javonte Williams looks great. I mean, Flournoy is good, too. Floornoe is good. They got Joey Porter Jr. Yeah. He played a little bit today. Yeah, this is just one of those games that I think,
Starting point is 00:50:05 no matter who the two, it was just going to end up being like a shootout where both teams abandoned the run entirely and nobody can stop anybody and it's just hold on to your nuts. Yeah, which was crazy because it was a low-scrower. scoring game where no one could do anything offensively in the first half. Yeah. Then it just shootout broke out. Run the football, Texans.
Starting point is 00:50:24 All right. Next up, Jaguars 22, Bengals 17. This game was gross. It was gross. It was gross to watch. I don't mean that in like the Jaguars or Bengals are bad teams. There were so many penalties. There are 24 penalties for 233 yards, which
Starting point is 00:50:40 at the point in the day, it was like, that's a lot. There was actually a game with way more later on in the day. But Hank, we had this game. We had the jingles and we had the Jengles game on. It was so tough to watch. Every time they would get somewhere or a big play would happen, it would just be a flag and everyone would move backwards and be like,
Starting point is 00:51:00 all right, well, that's fun. This game lived between the 30-yard lines. Yeah. And it was, and it came down to the Jaguars. The Jaguars are a good team. They take the ball away. So right now they are 10 takeaways in four games,
Starting point is 00:51:14 39 takeaways since the beginning of last year, which leads the league tied for. with the Bears. They can run the ball. Trevor Lawrence looks comfortable. All the things seem to be clicking. It did feel like this game was another winnable game for the Bengals if Joe Burrow didn't throw just a horrific, horrific interception in the red zone. Yeah, so it was a bad pick. And also, I believe that the Jaguars defense, it might be one of the best, if not the best, in the red zone. Yeah. They are like been, but don't break. And yeah, Burrow had a really bad interception. But The Bengals were driving at the end of the game, and if Chase Brown gets one more yard or like half more yard, then they were in a position where they very easily could have won.
Starting point is 00:51:55 But great tackle by the Jaguar's setting there to bring him down. And I know Jamar Chase was out, but I just can't. I couldn't get over that. Joe Burrow, like, he drove them all the way down the field. There's 14 minutes left in the game. It's a six point game. It's first and goal on the 10-yard line. Why are you trying to force a ball into a very, very tight window with?
Starting point is 00:52:15 two defenders there. I don't know. That just made no sense to me. And that felt like that was that I know there was more game to be played. But man, that was a backbreaker of an interception. Like absolute backbreaker. And I don't know. Joe Burrow even said afterwards, they asked them about, so the run pass split for
Starting point is 00:52:36 the Bengals. I like this quote. It was, what was the exact split? It was, hold on. Oh, 54 throws and 15 rushes. and Joe Burroughs said My response to that would be let's throw it more Yeah
Starting point is 00:52:49 Because I know we're great at it Yeah And it is true because so he threw He he dropped back 54 times They had 428 yards passing And when you look at the results They got from running the football 1.5 yards per carry today
Starting point is 00:53:03 So he's right that the run game Either figure out how to fix the run game Or if you have a dog shit rushing attack like that Just air it out more I agree with him And he did mention in that quote, the longer part of that quote was like, we're pass blocking really well right now.
Starting point is 00:53:20 So why not? Jamar Chase's concussion. That was one of the most violent face smash you could possibly have because he got face masks and then smashed in the face. Yeah, the face mask. That was nasty. Which definitely changes the course of the game, a weapon like his. And the Bengals defense did their part again. Like the Bengals defense has done a good job.
Starting point is 00:53:40 And it's just they've, they've kind of blown the last two games. with special teams errors and turnovers, that they could easily be a four and O team, and they're sitting there two and two now. And the Jaguars are good. Jaguars are just good. In the, this play did not count file, but it should have because it was awesome.
Starting point is 00:53:57 You see Travis Hunter's interception that he had? Yes, awesome. And then the juke move that he put on, I believe it was T. Higgins. Yes. Trying to tackle him. The ref should just pick up whatever flag was down, be like that, we need,
Starting point is 00:54:08 for his Hall of Fame reel, isn't that what Travis Kelsey said? Yep. We need to make sure that that play is included. in his film when he gets inducted because watch this move that he put on T yeah like snatched his soul yeah his entire soul's gone and Travis
Starting point is 00:54:22 Hunter seems to be like he's trying to he's starting to find it yeah because you're letting him just playing defense yeah play defense you're great at defense Liam Cohen's such a good coach though he is I was looking at the uh the future's odds for the jaguars today yeah I was letting myself get loose with where I thought the jaguars could end up okay I believe there's 16 to 1 to win the Super Bowl oh okay in that division, it looks like they have, well, they definitely have the inside track to, to winning that
Starting point is 00:54:49 division. Yes. The Titans, the Colts, nope, the Texans. Wait, you don't think the Titans can come back? I don't think that there's, I don't think there's ever been a deeper ass that has been come out of than the one that the Titans are inside of right now. I'd agree. So no, I don't. So you're saying, maybe, but I think that they'll, you say the Jags have a home playoff game. Out of all the teams right now, in all the divisions, I would say that the Jags probably have the best inside track to getting home field advantage. Here's the only counterpoint I would say to the Jaguars winning the Super Bowl. And I don't mean this in any offense, Jaguars fans. Because, again, I think Liam Cohn is an unbelievable coach.
Starting point is 00:55:27 The way Trevor Lawrence is playing, he's a top tier quarterback right now. Just close your eyes and picture the Jacksonville Jaguars going to Kansas City in January. And who's going to win that? That's why you got to get home field. Yeah, but that would be the only thing that would scare me. Bring them to your pool. Just imagining the Jaguar's uniforms in a cold, wouldn't work.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Kansas City environment would not work. Would scare the fuck out of it. Yeah, would not work. And the other big blinking red warning sign that I see is when you actually said the words, the only thing I would say about the Jacksonville Jaguars not winning the Super Bowl. It was like, yeah, well, I probably shouldn't have brought that up. Yeah. Because it's the Jacksonville Jaguards.
Starting point is 00:56:06 But in terms of how good they're playing right now, how good their coaches and how good Trevor Lawrence is playing. Mm-hmm. I don't think it's the craziest thing in the world to think that the Jaguars could at least do some damage in the playoffs. Yeah. No, I absolutely agree. I think they have a coaching advantage against most, if not all teams with the way Liam Cohns got them rolling. I also love Liam Cohn's quote about the first. So the first half, the Jaguars alone had 10 penalties for 100 first half, 100 yards.
Starting point is 00:56:36 He said, never been a part of anything like that before my life. I'm not going to say anything to get fined. That was just mental. It was mental. Yeah. I like that. He kind of slipped into being a, like a British hooligan for a second. It was mental.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Or like Wayne's World. Yeah. It was mental stuff. But yeah, Jags good. Jags three and one. I, may he sprinkle on. What are they to win the AFC?
Starting point is 00:56:59 I also looked at the AFC. I think they're six to one to win the AFC. Hmm. Hmm. I mean, this is a team that was really good last. Well, they win 13 games last year. Yeah. So it's not like it's coming out of nowhere.
Starting point is 00:57:10 No, they've been good for. a while. And I wouldn't put that, like, they got, they got good Joshed last year in the playoffs. Yeah. In Jacksonville. Like, it very easily could have been the Jaguards winning that game. Yeah. Okay. Starting point is 00:59:28 what do we got in this game right now are the or the panthers going to punt or are they going to try to kick a field goal? had one of the craziest fourth down go for it's of all time. Which one? The fourth and 20. Hook and ladder for... But also they were stuck in a weird score. No.
Starting point is 00:59:46 If he kicks that field goal, it's a three-point game right now. I can't do math while I'm... 100% podcasting. I had three points. I don't know, but what was the score when he did it? They were down 13. They just scored one touchdown.
Starting point is 01:00:03 They're down 13, 4th, and 20. And where... Yeah, that was... Got to take that field goal. It was like the 30-yard line. Yeah. So they got it to the 10-yard line. I mean, it's fourth and 20.
Starting point is 01:00:13 That's what I'm saying. So I'll say the only thing when I was watching it that I was thinking that he might have been thinking is that they only are going to have two more. Like that they're only going to have one more possession. But now you've got to score a touchdown. I know, I know. I think he might have thought that they were only going to get one more possession with the way their defense is playing. Do you know what I mean? So they would need a touchdown and a touchdown.
Starting point is 01:00:32 That's, I think what he would say. But yeah, I agree. That was crazy. You know what I'm saying? When you're down 13. But it was like fourth and four and they got a penalty and they got another penalty. And he just he just doubled down, tripled down. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Once you get the holding call to go back from, you know, fourth and nine to fourth and 19. Still five yards short. You got to just take the field goal. He's done that shit before, though. Remember that game? I think it was against the Cowboys a few years ago where they were like going for two instead of kicking the extra point. And they got backed up to like the 25 yard line. And he was like, fuck it, we're still going to.
Starting point is 01:01:07 I mean, they're going to score here and it's not going to matter. Also, it's not like an idiot. Ted McWill just made the best catch on the sidelines. I saw that one. Ted's a fucking monster. Also, the lion's hook and ladder. It's not fooling anyone anymore. They've done it so many times.
Starting point is 01:01:23 They need to fake it at this point. Yeah. Teams literally said they're going to do the hook and ladder. Yeah. They need to fake the hook and ladder and then have the guy go up, you know, go up the field or maybe have. I feel like they've done that before, too. Yeah, maybe have two guys doing hook and ladders. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:01:36 You have to do crossfield. You have to do a flea flicker. They do that too, I think. No, cross field. Like throw it? Yeah. Well, what you do is you hit the guy with a hook and ladder and then you have to have another guy
Starting point is 01:01:46 cutting inside off the hook and ladder guy because the defense's going to already be swarming to the ladder. So you have to have two ladders. Maybe a statue of liberty hook and ladder. That would be cool. Like you fake the hook and it's a statue of liberty to somebody else going the other way. This has been a very fun Sunday night football. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Because these two defenses stink. Or I wish you'd bring back the, the hook and ladder to Penae Sewell. Yeah. He tried that one time. That plays too. Let the man run. Damn, golf has 400 yards. What?
Starting point is 01:02:17 And Bryce Young has 329. Just lighten it up. Absolutely. How's that ladder? Latter went great. Sunday night shootouts are the best. He went, the ladder, the 320 yards for Bryce Young was plus 488. And I went all the way up.
Starting point is 01:02:34 So yeah. Okay, we'll recap that when it finishes. Next up, Max, you ready? Sure. Do you want to do your game right now or you want to watch, you want to do it? You want to do an inconsequential game while we watch the end of this game? This was inconsequential and whatever.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Yeah. What was that? Inconsequential. Okay. Rams 24, Eagles 20. Yeah, it was, it was terrible blown lead. the offense stinks The offense is also a preseason roster right now
Starting point is 01:03:12 Can I say it was mean what the Eagles did to you today? 100%. Because you went into the game being like assessing the situation. You don't have Devante Smith. You don't have like Sequin gets hurt banged up at the beginning of the game. Your offensive line's banged up. Your defense is banged up. All these things.
Starting point is 01:03:28 The Rams need a win. Puka's back. You went into this game. You said before the game it's like we're playing like with no one. We're like it's going to be really hard to win this. game. And then they got a 10 point lead and it became a game where it's like, now you have to win it because you're up 10. You're up 10 with fourth and goal on the two yard line. No, no, no, no. We were up 10. Second and goal from the 5 yard line. And you somehow lost the game. You're, all you had to do is
Starting point is 01:04:01 get in in the end zone. You would have been up 17 game over. They stopped you at fourth and goal. I actually, I've thought about that. The more I've thought about that, I disagree. You think they would have won no matter what? I think they would have won no matter what. Okay. Because they scored so quickly those two times. I mean, statistically, the Rams dominated this game.
Starting point is 01:04:21 Oh, yeah. Like, it wasn't even close. For the Eagles to be in it, they need, like, Stafford had some bad picks. Yeah, no, no. Stafford drew two picks, and then you had the punt return that was very helpful. Yeah, I looked it up because you guys went, you scored, you scored, you scored, 17 points and off those 17 points you had a it was a six play drive for 17 yards a two play drive for 17 yards a two play drive for 35 yards so like you didn't have to go far or through a three play drive whatever yeah i mean the eagles were terrible in this game they were playing with a preseason roster and jalen hurts played badly so with all of that the fact that they even had a chance chance in this game was insane i i've never been looking at at the clock to go down more than I was in this game.
Starting point is 01:05:08 So you don't mind the decision by Siriani then? I think they lose no matter what. Okay. I think like... Yeah, it was a 98 yard and 79-yard drive. Yes. So they weren't stopping anyone. They weren't stopping.
Starting point is 01:05:23 The Rams finally clicked and the Eagles defense. We asked so much of the Eagles defense that entire game. They were on the field the whole game. Yeah. So it's like eventually they were going to break down, especially being down so many guys already. Zach Ballin was hurt going into the game. Quinn and Mitchell goes down in the middle of the game.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Jonathan Grenar goes down in the middle of the game. Like Jalen Carter was playing Edge at one point, I noticed. Like they did the team was, it was a preseason roster today that they were so lucky to be in that game. But you still want to figure out, you still like, would like to think that you could find a way. But it's just bullshit that they put me in that situation, like you said. Right. They were mean to you. Because I was done.
Starting point is 01:06:07 Like I went in this game. I was like, all right, this is, this is nothing game. This is nothing game. They're going to lose this game, whatever, try and get healthy. And now we got even more hurt. Like, I felt that way going into the game. And then we had five huge injuries in the middle of the game. And then we go to London next week.
Starting point is 01:06:23 So they're not going to bring the guy, like. Sequence probably not going to win. No one's playing next week. We're going to get absolutely boat raced in London. What about Lane Johnson? Lane Johnson might retire. Because Lane, I mean, we've seen all the stats of how much better the, the Eagles are when Lane's playing when he's not, specifically with the quarterback.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Right. And do we know that was that surprising to you? Mark L. Bell was, I mean, he's a rookie. He's our third string tackle. Our backup was also hurt going into this game. So he was terrible, but I mean, I will say I haven't watched the All-22, but my two eyes of when I was watching the game, he seemed like he was terrible. And without Lane Johnson, who was the leader of the offense, the leader of the team, really. it would be a big blow if he decides to hang it up.
Starting point is 01:07:10 I hope he's doing okay because I know he's had some mental health stuff in the past, and it seemed like it was a big shock to everyone that he wasn't playing in this game. Yeah, I hope he's okay too. They went, the Eagles went 0 for 12 on third down, which is kind of a crazy stat. One for four on fourth down, which they usually... Yeah, Zach Gerts catches that ball. They probably win the game, but the fact that I'm relying on a 50s, nine-year-old Zach Ertz to catch a ball to win the game is probably an indictment of where
Starting point is 01:07:41 this team is at Healthwise right now. Was this the worst sports week of your life? I had this like same week last year. I don't know if it was exactly the same. Was it? I think it was pretty close. Someone sent me the entire list. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:02 It was the Orion Kirkring overthrow. Eagles get out. Thursday night. Can I? Yeah. That was just a day. That was a day. But then it was also Penn State sandwich in between that of the fire of the, I think James Franklin got fired that week as well because I think it was right after they lost to UCLA and then they lost a Northwestern the week after.
Starting point is 01:08:24 Yeah. So that was also in the middle of it. One of our coworkers sent me the calendar of the last week if I could read it out loud. Yeah, that would be memes. He's made like 10 graphics of it. It was a memes. It's a different calendar. Just one.
Starting point is 01:08:37 Saturday. September 26 Penn State loses to Wisconsin Phillies lose to the raise 12 to 1 Sunday September 27th Phillies beat the raise 7 to 3 That's good
Starting point is 01:08:48 Monday September 28th Eagles lose 27 to 7 to the Bears Case Keenham and the Bears Case Keen and the Bears May sure you add that yeah Tuesday September 29th Phillies lose 5 to 3 to the Braves Wednesday September 30th
Starting point is 01:09:03 Flyers lose 7 nothing to the Penguins The Phillies do beat the Braves 4, 3 and 10 innings. That's huge. That was a sick game. Yep. Thursday, October 1st, Flyers lose 3 to 2 overtime to the Devils. Phillies lose 62 to the Braves.
Starting point is 01:09:17 Friday, September 2nd, Penn State loses 34 to 13 to Northwestern. Max is in attendance. Saturday, October 2nd, Flyers lose 3 to 2 overtime to the Cains. Sunday, October 4th, Eagles lose 24 to 20. With a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter. 10-point lead to 4th quarter. When you listed out, like that. It doesn't sound, it doesn't sound fun.
Starting point is 01:09:40 No. It really is, it's really, you could sum it up, you don't even have to list all of them. It's just your football teams are 0 and 4 in the last eight days and your baseball team got eliminated the postseason. That's it. Yeah, but the baseball team's even worse than that because the, the end of the regular season was such a fucking disaster. Yeah. That also goes into account because we didn't get, if we had our pitching a line, maybe things would have been different. So I saw you say that you might retire from sports and then it kind of clicked in your head.
Starting point is 01:10:12 I saw the hamster moving around in your brain and you're like, that would mean I'd have to retire from my job. That hamster. LeBron, you can't quit before LeBron. That's going to be a disaster. That hamster has a six-pack. It's just working. It's just running on a treadmill constantly. So where are you at now?
Starting point is 01:10:35 because you were, you actually didn't freak out too bad until Hank. Well, hang. What did Hank say? I was super pissed off. I'm leaving the cave at Hank's like. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You didn't say a word. Correct.
Starting point is 01:10:49 So I didn't know if you were pissed off or not. He thought you might have been happy. Yeah, Hank, there was no way for Hank to know that you're right. I had bet the Eagles. We were, we were. A 10 point lead where the win probability for the Rams was 3.2% with eight minutes left. He thought you might have been happy. 97%
Starting point is 01:11:05 We were mourning together It was the witching hours There was a lot going on And like there was a quiet time in the cave We were all kind of recapping what was going on Max hadn't talked in like 10 minutes And I think That's normally an indication
Starting point is 01:11:16 That I'm in a good spot There's probably a clip Where I was like Max I was fucking brutal man Real quick Yeah play the clip I don't know I don't know
Starting point is 01:11:26 I'm not I'm not pulled up the clock Max can find it Say the headphones off Zach can you pull up the clip I don't know why he gave Zach the headphones I think part of school gambling post it. I'd like to see
Starting point is 01:11:36 the club. Hank, what did you say to him? I don't even remember. I think I said, and again, I had bet the Eagles and I had the, I had the Giants and I had the Cowboys, so I'm like rooting for the NFC East. He's closing his eyes. I'm upset about the loss just as upset as Max was, if not more upset. That's how I felt
Starting point is 01:11:52 after the Super Bowl when the Patriots lost. Exactly. Exactly. That's not the clip. And I was like, I was like, Max, that was fucking brutal, man. And then he just, he like almost broke our sponsors, our nice sponsor ball pit. Zach, you had it. Go back.
Starting point is 01:12:08 Oh, the Raising Cain's cage. That one. Max's Big Mad. No, no, no. Go down. There you go. All right. Go. Yes. There's a lot of posts, to be fair, that are labeled something like Max is distraught. Max is very upset, so it's going to find which one. Go ahead. Press play. I can't remember what he said.
Starting point is 01:12:33 Pods. Pods. Dead. I said that was horrible, dude. That was horrible, dude. And then he kicked the kids. He destroyed the sign. The sign fell off. The top stinted.
Starting point is 01:12:58 And then, and then, Hank, why are you smiling right now? Right now? Yeah. Because it was funny. I'm not because it was fucking funny. That was hilarious. It was hilarious. Listen.
Starting point is 01:13:07 Okay, let's pause it Okay, Max, come back. Come back, Max. Then we stay in the cave. We watched the rest of the afternoon games. I heard a report like three hours later, Max was just sitting in silence and in the P&PT studio, Chris Cross Applesauce. I came to drop,
Starting point is 01:13:25 I came to put my wallet, my keys in here, and Max was just, had the door closed and was just laying with his feet up on the couch, just like, you could just tell he was in a bad spot. Not Chris. I don't even think I, did I say word to you when I came in?
Starting point is 01:13:39 That was big. I needed that. I just walked in, dropped my shit off, walked right out. I needed, I just needed like an hour. You know what? And then now, now. You needed Zach around you. I just needed an hour to myself. And then I was okay.
Starting point is 01:13:53 And then I came back in better spirits. It's just been a lot of losses. I've just been stacking L's recently. And I thought I was like, this would be, this would be such a cool win. I was like, this would be such a cool win. No one thought we were going to win this game. We got preceded. could have just stole this game.
Starting point is 01:14:10 You Hank bet on him. I believed. I wasn't even mad at you, Hank. It was just like... I know. It was just... I needed... I wasn't mad at you either. Yeah. Like, I didn't really yell at you. I just was... I was just mad at... I did yell at you, but I didn't mean it. Well, I wouldn't say you... I didn't take it. I didn't take it personal. You were yelling out the door. You were on your way out the door.
Starting point is 01:14:29 Yeah. You should apologize to the Raisin Cain's ball pit. Yeah. Yeah, I am sorry to the Raisin Cain's Ball pit. Thank you. don't even know what happened with that because I went to go try and I don't know how that thing was initially hanging up because I went to go try and put it back and it was an impossible task. Damage it beyond repair. What, uh, what's the, are you, is Nick Suriani, are you giving up on all of this? Because the offenses, I know there's a lot of guys hurt.
Starting point is 01:14:57 I mean, the entire offense. Yeah. So, so then just, so then. But Jalen Hurts, played poorly. But Devante Smith, Dallas Goddard, Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, Seekwant-Barkley. That's a lot. game. That's a big, that's a really good team. Does it, does it concern you though that it's the second game, I think it's second game in a
Starting point is 01:15:14 row where you haven't scored in the second half? Yeah, the game playing in the second half is brutal. But the Eagles, the only reason they scored in the first half is because they got field position. They had 175 yards of total, of total yard. After the game was over, I went back to the kitchen to get some post-game one ice cream. And as I was in there, I heard you yelling on the phone to somebody. I can only assume that it was to a Delente. That was my dad.
Starting point is 01:15:39 Okay, yeah. He was trying to calm me down and I was, and I was, I was, I was, I was, I was motherfucking. I was wondering who was on, because it did sound from the one side of the conversation I heard that there was somebody trying to be supportive on the other side for you. No, I wasn't taking it. But you weren't taking it. What was he saying to you?
Starting point is 01:15:52 I don't even remember. I couldn't, I swear to God. You were very upset that they, was it, they didn't go to Cooper at all in the second half? Cooper. Because you were like, they went to him twice in the first half and then. I don't even know. That touchdown catch you made was on. I actually wish they went back.
Starting point is 01:16:04 Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, the Eagles have, they lead the league in three and outs with 15 and 11 of the 15 if occurred in the second half. The second half is the third quarter is the worst quarter in the history of quarters. Yeah. I do think the Rams are a problem. They stink. Oh, I don't think they stink.
Starting point is 01:16:23 They stink. Okay. They should have blown the doors off of that team. That's a preseason team. Yeah. that's it's also uh like a weird travel for them thinking what Sunday night football mile high to then East Coast body clock early game like you know 10 am game that's a that's a spot to come out flat if they lost that game that would have been an embarrassed I agree I'm just saying like the
Starting point is 01:16:50 the flatness of of the rams looked at portions of that game can be at least a little bit explained by the fact that they were just traveling cross-country after playing Sunday football mile high. They won. That's a much, yeah, I guess. Yeah, they won. They won. Listen, Stafford's, like, Stafford has six interceptions on the year.
Starting point is 01:17:11 He, last year, he didn't throw his sixth interception until week 17. So that's a problem. But with Pooka now back, you could see, like, the Puka, Kairn Williams, Tyler Higbee, I mean, it can obviously be Terrence Ferguson when he comes back. Devante. That trio with Devante mixed. in, like that offense is very, very difficult to deal with. You saw how easy they went down the field the end of the game.
Starting point is 01:17:35 I get it, but that it's, they're playing a second string team. I get that, but also Nick Siriani had never lost to McVey before. I think, like, I don't think that's like a good, like, that's like an indictment of like a, that makes the Rams a good team. No, it doesn't, but it does make the Eagles, like the Rams have not been, even when they were like at their best, they've not been able to beat the Eagles in the past. So it is kind of a big thing. I would be buying stock in the Rams right now because Miles Garrett's about to be back and Aaron Donald was out today.
Starting point is 01:18:06 I just, I think they're going to be, they're going to, although, ooh, I didn't realize they have Monday night football against the bills next week. Okay. It could have been a little head spot. I don't know. You can't have a look at the spot when you're looking at one and three. Like, they needed to win this game. I know. And they came out so fucking flat.
Starting point is 01:18:22 But I'm looking at the, I'm looking at the Rams schedule coming up. Like they have the bills. That's going to be a very tough game. but then they play the Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, commanders, Cardinals, Packers. Like, those feel like games of the Rams should stack some wins. So, and when you see Puka back out on the field, you're like, fuck, this is a problem. He's just so good. And Kyrin is awesome.
Starting point is 01:18:44 The offense looks like a lot different. A lot different with Pooka back. Korn, how many, he had 10 catches today. All right, so Max, you're not going to quit your job? What did you think about the Rams coaches flipping off Eagles fans? Is that video? Yeah, there was a lot going on. There was a lot going on.
Starting point is 01:19:02 Apparently there was stuff before the video that... I don't know. A lot of context. And he's... Because throwing the drink at the thing is crazy. But according to the Eagles fans that were there, the Rams fans were antagonizing the Eagles fans first. Well, the Rams coaching staff.
Starting point is 01:19:21 Or the Rams coaching staff. Which makes it way funnier. Way funnier. Yeah. Is this the most violent conduct by, a booth at the link in American history? Good question. It might be.
Starting point is 01:19:34 He's going to get it. He's going to get it. He's going to get it. No, that's okay. We'll move on. That hamsters. Hamsters shut down for the night. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:47 Tuck him in. Like John Wilkes booth? There you go. That hamster. The hamster just did the undertaker meme. Lincoln was the guy. Oh, right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:58 Wow. Got it got, got it. Yeah. The hamster just did it. They were cousins. He just got out of the casket. Oh, that's right, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:05 Okay. Wait, that's it for the game. Who? Max and John Wilkes Booth? Yeah. That's right. You are. Me, Max?
Starting point is 01:20:13 Yeah. What are you? No, Lincoln and John Wolks Booth. No. Are you thinking of the Lincoln secretary was Kennedy and Kennedy's secretary was Lincoln? Close enough. That'd be wilded a third cousins. That's what I heard.
Starting point is 01:20:27 Maybe you should get a better hamster, Hank. Yeah, get a better hamster. No. trust me. Hank Samster. I know history. John Wilkes Booth saved or no,
Starting point is 01:20:37 Abraham Lincoln, I think, saved John Wilkes Booth's brother's life. Yes. So it was other customers. When they were running a train earlier. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:45 That's how he met his mother. Yeah. Oh, Max, have you thought about when you're going to feel joy again? Do you have a date circled? Yeah, no,
Starting point is 01:20:54 I had a great, great joy Saturday night, Mount Joy. That's why I was like maybe sport, like, no sports. Yeah, maybe you become one of those, like, uh, people in the pit.
Starting point is 01:21:05 Just like a roadie. Yeah. Yeah, sure. That was fun. Shout out Mount Joy. They're great. And rocks. Love him.
Starting point is 01:21:13 That band rocks. Okay. Bears 23, Jets 12. Beams. Hate weeks over. Hate weeks over. Before we talk about the Jets, sucking ass. Carl Chafers or whatever fuck his name is,
Starting point is 01:21:29 ruined the Jets first interception. Yeah. Agreed. Agreed. Well, Tyson Bajon wanted to throw you like seven interceptions. There were so many flags that took away interceptions. I don't know. His PFF grade is going to be a mess.
Starting point is 01:21:43 Yeah, no, that was a crazy moment where it was like, hey, the Jets finally got an interception. But you did get one like. But it was a fat guy interception. Yeah. Just a phantom hands of the face. It was a bad call. Devandre sweat, right? Devandre sweat.
Starting point is 01:21:56 One-handed fat guy interception. it doesn't get any better than that to break a street. I came back to do something back here and memes is like, just so you know, the score is actually six to three because I'm not accepting that interception. And I was like, okay. So.
Starting point is 01:22:10 Yeah, they scored a touchdown on that drive too. Yeah. Yeah. The meanest thing, he got the pick and then he celebrated because he's like, holy shit, I'm a big boy, just caught the ball. His teammates are all like gassing up, gassing him up.
Starting point is 01:22:21 And then you see the flag graphic come down. And then after he goes to the sidelines, you see the wave of realization hit him. Yeah. And they're like, hey, man, that didn't count. Which does suck. But it also made me think that, like, I do need a camera on people's faces the entire game. If you do something good and there's a flag.
Starting point is 01:22:39 Yeah. I do love seeing the players go from celebrating to being like, ah, shit. That, like, second of disappointment that hits them. Yeah. I do like having that camera. But memes, you're right. In my mind, that's what ended the streak. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 01:22:52 They did end it one series. Yeah. You ended it right away after. This was just a domination. I mean, that was, I don't even understand the Jets tweet that they did that they're getting ratioed for, if you can explain it to me. But the Bears had, Bears had 34 first downs, the Jets had 32 plays. So it was 492 yards to 157. Bears had 89 plays to the Jets 32 plays. Bears just played bully ball.
Starting point is 01:23:18 Kyle Munungai is an absolute monster. I just love watching him run. Romad Dunes, they looked awesome. And Ben Johnson had fun with everyone doing the two quarterbacks at the beginning. because he said that everyone had decided who was starting. So he thought he would just be like, hey, you don't know. And yeah, the defense looks good. I don't know how much to take of it when it comes to like you guys are pretty banged up offensively.
Starting point is 01:23:40 Breece Hall obviously who didn't play. You guys are missing some receivers. But Bear's defense has been very good. At least the last two games, actually last three games. Bears defense has been really good. And Dennis Allen feels like he's got the guys playing well. Yeah, no, your defense, your defense rock. and Frank Reich just had one of the worst offensive game plans ever.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Now the offense, like an excuse, they were just standing on the sideline for 10 minutes at a time while the bears just went down the field. Oh, the way the game started where the bears go down the field, don't get the, don't get a touchdown, couldn't get one yard, which that was a, if you had to do concerns from the game, concern number one would be red zone because we scored two touchdowns out of seven red zone trips and it felt like at moments we couldn't get a single, yard but we got down to the one stopped the one you guys got the ball three and out then another long drive and it was like that was the entire first quarter um my other concern would be tyson
Starting point is 01:24:39 baysan didn't look super sharp i would say yeah but no a win's a win no but yeah he did not look super he didn't and guys were just wide open yeah that's the ben johnson effect i mean ben johnson now we're four weeks in the season he has won a football game with three different quarterbacks these this is why i would do anything for the guy this is why i would die for him This is why I think he's on God level. He's just, I mean, that's pretty insane to have it. Most teams can't have their backup quarterback win a game, let alone the third string. So we're now here, three and one, and we've won with three different guys.
Starting point is 01:25:11 He did say it was a ceremonial first pitch. Yeah. The handing of the torch when he put Keenham out there at the beginning of the game. I don't know. There will be a lot of discussion this week about Case Keenham has to start against the Packers. Whatever Ben Johnson does is the right decision in my mind. I don't really, I'm not going to stress about it. it. Whatever, whatever happens, happens, and I'm going to trust whatever he decides.
Starting point is 01:25:33 I think, if I had to guess, I would say they're probably going to stick with Bejan. Yeah, I mean, listen, Bejan, I think he can operate the offense. His arm is not super strong, and you could see it on some of the throws where it's like he's maybe holding on to the ball too long and trying to make a throw over the middle that's just, he doesn't have the arm strength for that someone like Caleb Williams can make. And you can't, you can't, like, it's okay when you make those mistakes when your defense is balling out. If the defense, I mean, the defense has been playing, like I said, incredible the last three games. And Theanneman, who's our rookie, has been awesome.
Starting point is 01:26:06 He's led every single game in tackles. Dio's looked awesome. Like the pass rush has shown up. So it's just if you get into a tight game, you can't make mistakes like that. So that'll be interesting. But Caleb's a quarterback. So it's like just try to find a way to tread water. And we're now two and O treading water.
Starting point is 01:26:23 So I'm very excited. Alternate quarterbacks. Yeah. Like Case getting a full two weeks worth. to rest in afterwards. That was, I mean, it was bully ball, though. The way we were running the ball.
Starting point is 01:26:32 The way we run the ball is so fucking awesome. It's just, they just... Time possession was 42, 45 to 1715. It was crazy. You had 27... You ran... You had 27 plays inside the red zone today. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:44 I mean, Kyle Monong guy is just... He's a bowling ball. He doesn't go down. DeAndre Swift, he fumbled. I think he got a little banged up. But he's, he's awesome, too. It's just, it's fun to watch.
Starting point is 01:26:56 Colston Loveland finally got into the game. I just love Ben Johnson. That's all I got. Where are you at memes with the Jets overall? I mean, after that game, they stink. Like if we're doing the levels again. Yeah. You beat the Titans, you're better than the ass teams,
Starting point is 01:27:08 but there's a top 10 football team who doesn't have their starting quarterback and you're still getting pushed around. Like you could only play competitive games against like bottom 10 teams. Yeah. And it's two sides of a coin like Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, get hired at the same time.
Starting point is 01:27:25 Ben Johnson has all three phases firing on a whole cylinders and you have Aaron Glenn who's superpowers defense like that's just not he's a nice guy yeah he was a really good player for the team I think this is a problem with hiring a guy maybe good leader of men good leader of men everybody loves him but like he just they're just not going in the right direction I uh there's a stat I saw that so there are five 2026 hired that are one win away from reaching Aaron Glenn's total wins as a head coach. That's not great. No.
Starting point is 01:28:04 So Aaron Glenn's 4 and 17 is a coach. Cubiac. Joe Brady, Todd Monkin, Jesse Minter, John Harbaugh, and Kubiak all have three wins apiece. Yeah. Also, this is just like, you know, the meme, thank you for changing my life. And it's like I'm literally just, you know, whatever. That's the meme for me. Thank you for changing my life.
Starting point is 01:28:27 I'm literally just Ben Johnson. Matt Iber Fluse had 14 wins in 46 games coaching the Bears. Ben Johnson has 15 wins in 23 games coaching the Bears. So he's already passed him. Yeah. And half the amount of games coach. He's an excellent coach to have the offense look as good as it has for the last two weeks. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:45 Like you said, second string, third string. Do you have an emergency quarterback? I don't know. Would it be maybe Lovelland? No, we did have the USC kid. Miller Moss. Yeah, Miller Moss. Moss.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Yeah. So he might be practice squad. Yeah, probably Ben also might just be like, fuck it, let's just do that too. What if, if you had to win a game
Starting point is 01:29:07 without passing the ball, who's the worst team in the league? The dolphins? Titans? Titans? Could you beat? Okay, if you made a worst of starting lineup from the Titans and the Dolphins,
Starting point is 01:29:21 so you took the worst 22 players at whatever position it is. Yeah. Could you beat them with? without throwing a pass. Are we playing at home? You're playing at home. Okay.
Starting point is 01:29:30 It's not that cold out. Yeah. But you- Our defense plays a lot better at home. But you also declare before the game, like, we're not going to pass the ball. So they know that you're going to be running the football. I think we could.
Starting point is 01:29:41 You might not be wrong. I think the way he runs the football, the schemes and the way he gets guys blocked up, it's erotic. Yeah. Yeah. All right, so memes, who do you have next week? So next week is the Browns.
Starting point is 01:29:54 That's a trap game for the Browns. Yeah. according to Dom. The next four games is like what you'll see about Aaron Glenn. So you think he's getting fired? By the end of the season, I think if he doesn't win some games, you have to. Yeah. Otherwise you're just doing the same thing you did with Todd Bulls.
Starting point is 01:30:15 Like they brought Todd Bulls back, drafted Sam Darnold, then fired Todd Bulls, right. And brought in. You get it all mixed up. You just got to. Yeah, you got to do one clean sweep. Yep. Although I'm rude for
Starting point is 01:30:28 The Bears are Case study in that it can actually work out You just have to hire Ben Johnson Because we did fuck that up We did the Draft Caleb Williams Keep Eber Fluse Yeah
Starting point is 01:30:39 That was a year from hell But then you got to find your Ben Johnson Yeah but Yes No no you're correct No butt The butt is for that other stat you brought up Like all those coaches have
Starting point is 01:30:52 Cubies Yeah Except for all Right Well I mean Kirk Cousins He's good quarterback. I wouldn't say he's like a superstar quarterback. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:00 Yeah, but that's another Ben Johnson. He just knows his system. He always starts off hot. He had Derek Carr put up 40 points a game. Do you think the Jets got scared away from offensive head coaches after Adam Gays? I think so. I also think nobody wanted to coach the Jets in that last cycle. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:18 But let's just say hypothetically he's not coaching at the end of the season. I think they're the number one job. Ooh. I mean, the draft picks. Three first round picks. 100 million, you have talent on the team. I'm not saying the lines of human sacrifice, but... The draft picks, I think right now, what are they like the two, the 10th and the 13th or
Starting point is 01:31:38 something like that? It's like 7, 15, 16. Oh, it's that? I thought it was higher than that. Oh, yeah, you're right. You're right. No, 7, 12, and 13. Close.
Starting point is 01:31:49 That's pretty good. What teams are those coming from? The Cowboys and the Colts. And the Packers. Oh, yeah. We have the better of... Better than... The Cowboys or Packers.
Starting point is 01:31:58 Yes. But I'm room for him. You just got to... Like, if all the guys in the locker room love him. Yeah. You're coming out next week and you're beating down the Browns. But if they don't and they just lay another egg, then it's... Can I also say something that sounds very weird when I give you the stats of like the Bears didn't punt and they had 34 first downs and to the Jets 3-2?
Starting point is 01:32:21 The Jets defense wasn't that bad today. Like, they just never got off the field. The offense never gave him a chance to play complimentary football. But, I mean, that's that of two TDs in the red zone out of seven trips. Like, that's a pretty good defensive effort for the amount of yards that we had. Yeah, but that's also on the defense. You got to get off at some point. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:47 Names, what would you say, what if Aaron Glenn accepted a demotion and came back next year, defensive coordinator? And we got a head coach? Yeah, for sure. Come on back. Virginia Tech did that. Got James Franklin hired their former head coach
Starting point is 01:33:02 as what defense coordinator, right? Yeah. Yeah. I love that. Some guys just got to learn. Like, it's okay to be a coordinator. Being head coach is hard. Now the Bears have Packers this week.
Starting point is 01:33:15 We'll see. In Lambeau. Who's on? What's the spread? Going to Lambo? I mean, I think the Bears... I think the Bears are probably favorite. Three-point favorites, I'm going to say.
Starting point is 01:33:24 I'm going to say... Bears minus three. I'm going to say Caleb comes back. I'm going to say one and a half. No. Yeah, one and a half. Bears minus two and a half. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:33:37 And Big Cat, that's got to be America's game of the week, right? It's not. We got demoted. Fier's Packers. We got demoted. It's a perfect demotion, too, because you can both sides can point each other. Like, oh, it's because Caleb's not playing. Oh, no, it's because the Packers fucking suck.
Starting point is 01:33:51 Packers stink. Yeah. But I'm very excited about the Bears. Ben Johnson, he's everything. Like, if they know. known that Case Keenum was going to play. They'd probably move that back to, yeah, 425. I honestly, I think they'll stick with Tyson-Bajun.
Starting point is 01:34:03 I really do. I think that they will too, yeah. Because I also think, like, you need, Case Keenom was really good. Case Keenom's 38 years old. If, if, God forbid, something really bad happens and you need a quarterback for the rest of the year, it's probably going to have to be the younger guy.
Starting point is 01:34:18 Yeah, and also, like, Case Keenum can play and play very well when everything around him works. But, like, if something breaks down, right, he's not going to be the, greatest guy to improvise his way out of it. Tyson Bayesian at least has that ability. He's got to get rid of the ball a little bit faster.
Starting point is 01:34:32 He found Rome. Rome had an awesome one of his best days. All right. Before we do the next game, a couple ads for you, PFT. Starting point is 01:36:54 Okay. Packers 17 bucks 14. Zach, are you going to win a football game this year? As of right now, sample size says not a chance, but there's a lot of the league, you know, there's a lot of season left, man. Yeah. Keep things positive. What was your, what was going through your head going into this game today?
Starting point is 01:37:10 Were you like, hey, we actually could win this game? Because, I mean, you were in this game. You guys ran the football. Yeah. I felt pretty good going into it because, like, the Packers haven't showed us that much this season to be like, oh, they're a force to be reckoned with or anything. thing. It's like, yeah, let's show up,
Starting point is 01:37:24 give the rookie quarterback a start first time in a league for a rookie to start this season. Yeah, Jalen Daniels. Jalen did throw two picks, but the passes he did make, there's a couple that looked good. A couple of them were like, oh, damn. He's throwing some... He was whipping that thing a little bit,
Starting point is 01:37:40 yeah. Yeah. He has some gas for sure. He really couldn't do too much because, I mean, honestly, the offensive play calling wasn't the best. Uninspirational is probably the word I would use. if we're talking about it I really just couldn't get anything going which is kind of a bummer Yes my thoughts going into the game
Starting point is 01:38:00 Were a lot better than my thoughts While they're playing out the game Now the game is completed and we're 0 and 4 I really know what to think Kind of are you at a similar place To what they were going into the game Or you were more optimistic Oh definitely more optimistic
Starting point is 01:38:13 Because maybe you just have a surprise guy Yeah Yeah He wants to like prove himself So like hey I'm a professional quarterback Let's get into it Let's do this thing he kind of did that, kind of didn't do that at the same time in a weird way.
Starting point is 01:38:25 I don't know if that makes much sense, but that's kind of how I was feeling. I think that makes a lot of sense. And I mean, your defense played well, took the ball away. You know, that like force fumble, what did the goal line to keep you in the game? She couldn't drive the field at the end. We couldn't drive anywhere. You guys got to get also, like, I feel like I've watched the same Bucks game three weeks in a row in Tampa. It looks exactly the same
Starting point is 01:38:52 It's kind of boring football Yeah It's really not that much fun to watch Like a couple weeks at all No No, no It's not Really
Starting point is 01:39:00 Even when Baker was playing and playing well last year It was still pretty boring football Just Baker made it exciting You get flashes I'll hold on to flashes all day Give me a little something Something every once in a while I'm hooked Now I don't know
Starting point is 01:39:12 Yeah what is the Buck's identity Right now Do they have an identity Currently as it stands this season identity would be like forgettable you know someone you meet somebody they give you your number you don't really save it
Starting point is 01:39:27 yeah painful almost a random number in your phone book you have like in your text message that you look back and you're like who's this a couple texts back and forth but you don't doesn't really stick out yeah are you are you uh are is top bolst me the first head coach fired
Starting point is 01:39:43 I feel like he could there's a I want to back him because he is to coach the team you want to see a team do well. I think there's a world where he does lose his job. I think, and quickly. And I think it would be, I'm not saying it, some guys are saying it, if he does get fired, it would be deserving. What would you say?
Starting point is 01:40:01 I would say, you got to back your guys. Which guy? Unofficially, I would be okay if maybe we looked to move on. Because you would be backing Jason Light if they fired Todd Bulls, right? I'm down to back anybody else in the seat. Right. So technically that'd be backing your guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:21 That survived. Yeah. I, for the Packers, the Packers, like, they won this game, but they're also still kind of a mess. And they had another really bad injury. They've had bad injury luck. They've lost a player season ending injury nine different times since November 2nd of last season. And eight of them were starters. Today was Edger and Cooper, which sucks for them.
Starting point is 01:40:45 And they have the Packers lead the league in penalties, lead the league in drops, lead the league in fumbles, worst run game in the NFL, worst pass block rate in the NFL. They're a mess. But they did win the game. And they're now two and two. And they have been at least 500 through first four games of a season every single year since 2007, which is actually now a record. That breaks the record the Patriots had from 2002 to 2020. Is this true that the all four losses?
Starting point is 01:41:15 have been by a combined 20 points. That's for the bucks. For the bucks. Yeah, for the bucks. Oh yeah, the bucks are close in every game. They cover the spread. It's been one score games.
Starting point is 01:41:23 They covered a spread. There we go. The first time in 12 tries. 13 tries. So you're so close. Why didn't Todd Bowles kick that field goal? I know it was going to be long. It was going to be what, like 63 yards?
Starting point is 01:41:34 Yes. From Chase McLaughlin. Why didn't he? Because it was what, like fourth and 16 or something? Chase Bluff was a good kicker. Yeah. That's not like an unimaginable thing. he'll hit those
Starting point is 01:41:47 because I feel like his kicking from 63 whatever how many yards that was probably higher than the likelihood of converting that fourth down right like 16 yards certainly definitely on the day
Starting point is 01:42:02 yeah that's one thing that you could point out to Tom be like hey Todd yeah that's your call because he like he's also the king of post king press conference just being like we're going to fight
Starting point is 01:42:13 yeah what are you going to do do different, Todd. We're going to fight. We're going to stick together. He said that. I said, I can do more. I can always do more. We're going to fight. We're going to stick together. We're going to figure this thing out. And I'll lead them to that. It's my job. He says like NPC quotes. He just has general like copy paste. A coach might say this at one point. Also, Tristan Worf was asked about Todd Bull's job security. And he said, no comment. Feel like that's not good.
Starting point is 01:42:38 Yeah, no comment is a lot. Feel like the comment should be, that's our coach. Yeah. No comment feels bad. Oh, here's a good Todd Bulls postgame quote. Our record shows what we are. We're 0 and 4. And until we acknowledge that and correct our own mistakes,
Starting point is 01:42:56 it's going to keep happening. So have they not acknowledged that previously? I mean, you'd hope so, right? There's no way they're just finding out with all of us. Yeah, but maybe it's just like they all know, but they haven't openly talked about it. They don't want to, oh, the conversation hasn't been started. Yeah, it's like if you're in a bad relationship and you know
Starting point is 01:43:13 that things are going poorly. You're fighting all the time. You just like sit for hours and you like, you don't even talk anymore. Don't go out to dinners. There's no spark. Both sides in that relationship, no. One of them might have to be like a kind of, you have to say it sometimes. One of them made a big mistake. The other one was forgiving, but now they're kind of they go back to it all the time. Yeah. There's no getting back to what they once were. They should talk about being O and four is what I'm getting at. Yeah. Yeah. Did you see, by the way, uh, that Matt LaFour is getting the, the, the Tyler Dunn treatment right now. The guy who wrote the article about Caleb
Starting point is 01:43:47 before the season, he now wrote an article about Matt LaFlor. Was it good? No. No. I just don't, listen, I'm not, I'm not questioning Tyler Dunn's, like, I don't know, he probably,
Starting point is 01:43:59 he's a good writer. I don't know his process. I never will, whenever someone has a piece that's just all anonymous sources, I'm like, this is bullshit. Because it's like, you could get anyone to be anonymous source and be like, oh yeah, that guy, I hate him. And sometimes. You get people who worked here and just be like, oh, yeah, let's do an anonymous source.
Starting point is 01:44:16 They trash everyone in this room. Like, if they were anonymous, I just think it's bullshit. Yeah, over the years Green Bay has been, they've fired like assistant coaches before. Yeah. And if you fire somebody who's not doing a good job, then they're going to do whatever they can to get back at that guy. I just think, yeah, people should have to put their names behind that if you're just going to completely trash someone. So, I mean, we know Matt before a little bit. We've obviously had him on the show a few times.
Starting point is 01:44:37 I think he's a... You called him a pussy? Yeah, I did. And he laughed about it. So I think he could probably take a joke. But I would have as much as it pains me to have a Packers head coach's back. I have his back in the fact that anonymous sources, because it happened to Caleb where it's just like, and I said the same thing when it happened to Caleb, I think it's bullshit. So I'm not going to like take the same article a year later and be like, ha ha, look.
Starting point is 01:44:59 No, it's anonymous sourcing is, I just hate that shit. So I'm to keep an eye on the Lefleur brothers have not won on the same day. Oh. And I know it's really early. It's still early into. That's just the Packers lost week one. They lost week one. They lost week one.
Starting point is 01:45:17 But just something to keep an eye on. Yeah. Somebody to keep an eye on. I'm trying to figure out when they're going to win a game on the same day. It might not happen for a while. This is going to be a massive game on Sunday, though, for it feels, it's weird to say, but it feels kind of it's shifted that the game feels significantly more important for the Packers in this iteration because of everything that happened last year, because of the heat that's on the Packers right now on Matt LaFloor. and Ben Johnson is just like,
Starting point is 01:45:42 I'll just keep winning games back up quarterbacks. Yeah. So it does feel different going into this game where like the Packers feels like they really need it. They are going to be desperate, yeah. Yeah. Okay, next game. We have two quick ones in the early slate.
Starting point is 01:45:57 Ravens 24 Titans 18. This game was essentially Lamar Jackson was about to 50 Burger, the Titans then he got rolled up on in the first half, and the Ravens held on and won but did not cover. Lamar had like pretty much a perfect game and Zay Flowers too He was dominant so yeah Lamar did he end up
Starting point is 01:46:16 285 yards I think it was 222 22 he was 285 total Derek Henry had only one touchdown which I have to raise my hand and say I was wrong about that I thought that he would go off against the Titans
Starting point is 01:46:29 but he didn't need to this game was over when Lamar got out yeah 15 of 20 well this game was over before it started because Lamar going out they still won 15 of 20 for 222 yards, two touchdowns. I think he's probably going to end up being okay.
Starting point is 01:46:47 Titans sucked. They were bad. Ravens, very good team. Very impressive. There should be like not necessarily comeback player of the year award, but like an award for a guy that all of a sudden got accidentally important at his job and did a good job. Tyler Loop? So, no, I was going to say the guy that played center.
Starting point is 01:47:06 Oh. Vega Ione. Okay. So he's a guard. I think he might be a rookie. But the Ravens lost their first two centers. So I don't think he's ever played center before. He became a center this week and played a pretty decent game.
Starting point is 01:47:21 Oh, I was going to make the argument for Tyler Loop because last year could absolutely kill a kicker with the way the season ended. Yeah. And he's now gone. He hit a 64-yarder today, which is the record for M&T Bank Stadium, which also was crazy because it wasn't Justin Tucker who had the record previously. It was Matt Wright, I believe. So that was kind of weird. But 64 yards.
Starting point is 01:47:46 And then remember last week when he hit the game winner against the Cowboys. So Tyler Loop. Like the Ravens just have a good kicker. I think that's just what's going to happen. It's the Packers' quarterbacks is the Ravens kickers. Just going Justin Tucker to Tyler Loop. The Titans are so bad. And Cam Ward is now at the point.
Starting point is 01:48:05 I mean, the press conference thing was crazy. where he was just like, I'm not going to wait for you guys. I don't know, dude. He's won three games. You got to wait. I should probably wait. The vibes feel really bad.
Starting point is 01:48:17 Really, really bad. Sal was saying that he's got PTSD. Remember we're talking to PTSD? You see the first interception he threw today? Yeah. He's like, he still does a thing where he presses all the buttons. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:29 Carnal Tate looked good though. Yeah, he did. Carnal Tate had his like breakout game. But yeah, Kim Ward. I don't know, man. Carlton, he's been playing good. He's been getting open a lot. But it's just, they're very limited to what they can do in offense.
Starting point is 01:48:45 Yeah, and the press the button thing you're referring to is like basically Cam Ward's about to get sacked and he just throws the ball to anyone close to him. Yeah. That has the same jersey, but not in a way that a pass should be thrown. In a way I kind of just almost like shoves. He's basically like you handle this problem. In a way I kind of respect the way that he plays. He's never really been outside of college. he was great in college, but in his NFL career,
Starting point is 01:49:10 he hasn't been a guy that's, like, out there physically dominating, and he's never been really in the zone. But he plays like a guy that's in the zone all the time and just expects, he expects good things to happen from all of his decisions. And I don't know how you achieve that mentality, but I think it's almost a little bit admirable. Yeah. It's like, hey, next one's going in.
Starting point is 01:49:30 Yeah. Shoot or shoot. Just keeps your hunt. But yeah, this is a game that doesn't really, I mean, the Ravens are just better than the Titans. The biggest part of this game was just, is Lamar Jackson going to be okay? Hopefully he is. I think it's probably an ankle sprain and just how long.
Starting point is 01:49:47 I don't know, like, if this was a playoff game, I would imagine you would have played in the second half. They were playing the Titans. They were up 24 to 7, and they're like, we're good enough. And it was like the Titans had a drive at the end of the game to cover the spread. And I know it looks closer than they didn't get the onside kick. But yeah, the Ravens, it was never a doubt. The Ravens were going to win this game.
Starting point is 01:50:09 All right, Giants, 36, Cardinals 24. James is back. Lamar's day-to-day, by the way. Day to day, to day. Okay. Which that could mean forever. Lamar is always day-to-day. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:18 James is back. Three touchdowns, two interceptions. Hank, admit it. James is back. I'll put my hand up. You said he stunk. I said he stunk. He played great today.
Starting point is 01:50:30 Yes. And he said, I'm heating up, and I'm starting to get better and better. Last week I was questioned if I can even throw. This week I got people talking about the James Winston experience again. And he did the experience. That's a fact. Three touchdowns, two interceptions. Hand up.
Starting point is 01:50:44 I'm converted. Most games with multiple past touchdowns and multiple interceptions over the last 10 years. Josh Allen at number five with 11. Philip Rivers tied with 11. Baker Mayfield, third or second, sorry, tied for second with Patrick Mahomes, James Winston number one. That's a pretty good list. James Winston, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Phil Rivers, Josh Allen.
Starting point is 01:51:07 Those are elite quarterbacks. Multiple touchdowns, multiple interceptions, and a postgame quote referring to himself in the third person. That is the James Winston hat trick. Yeah. And he did it again. He's fully back. He's fully back.
Starting point is 01:51:19 I think he needed to be pushed a little bit. And the Giants are three and one. I think it did him some good to have 9-2.0 waiting in the wings behind him, pushing James to be all that he can be. Also, they're playing against the Cardinals. and as we said on Friday's show, the Cardinals should not be favorites on the road against anybody in the NFL.
Starting point is 01:51:38 And you see Jacobi Resett did the thing where he was awesome in like the beginning of the game. Yeah. And their offense looked awesome. And then it just fell apart. Yeah. Also that... Marvin Harrison scored too.
Starting point is 01:51:48 I forgot about that. Yeah, right off the bat. And then I don't think you did anything else after that. Yeah. The game ending pick six is such a cool play. Oh, yeah. Like you just get everybody celebrating at once. Gotta keep going.
Starting point is 01:51:58 Yeah, it's a great way to end the game. The vibes could not have been any better. Then they were, was it, was it Banks? Yes. Yeah, Deontay Banks. 98 yard, pick six, 11 seconds left. That's the perfect way to end a football game. Do we think that the Giants are good?
Starting point is 01:52:14 There's three and one. The league neighbors is back. Like he looked good today. James can be, do you think the Giants are good, Hank? No. Okay. It's really. We just were talking about how James is.
Starting point is 01:52:28 We're going to find out. When? this weekend. By playing? Commanders. Oh, yeah, they got to, if they don't win, they're not good. They're not good. Yeah, it's pretty simple.
Starting point is 01:52:40 Shocking, you know, the commanders are favored. Three points. Yeah, they're not good. That's a crazy line. So Vegas does not think that the Giants are good. The Giants were underdogs to the Cardinals today. Yeah, they clearly don't think that they're good if they're, if they're home dogs to the Cardinals, which is crazy. Well, I think that's also they think Jaden Daniels is playing.
Starting point is 01:52:58 Yes. So, it is. That would make sense. Commanders beat Super Bowl chance. That's true. But like, we don't know if the commanders are good even when Jane Daniels is playing. Jury's still out on that one. Either way, three and one starts nice for the Giants.
Starting point is 01:53:12 You have to. Very nice, yeah. Arvel Reese looks like a dude. They got, they're not good, but they got good guys. Yeah, they got names. Yeah. Their defense. And offense.
Starting point is 01:53:24 They got guys on defense. And offense. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Neighbors is, I think he's just going to be a guy that every time he hits the ground is going to be hurt, but he's going to just stay in the game and continue making amazing catches and being awesome. Because what do you have, like, 120 yards, 100, 112 yards today? Yeah. But it did feel like every time he got tackled, he laid on the ground. He's like, my shoulder really, really hurts, but I can't be a bitch. I can't be a bitch for James.
Starting point is 01:53:50 One quote that I saw that you'd never want to see from your franchise, your first round pick and your franchise running back. Jeremiah Love said after the game, this is probably going to be the longest year of my life. It's a tough one to like call your shot. I mean, I think he probably means this is going to be, you know, it's the NFL. He's going to hit a rookie wall. This is the most games he's going to play. But still, to say that is very funny.
Starting point is 01:54:16 He's right. Yeah. It's going to be the longest year of my life. Then the year after is a leap year. So that that's then going to become the long. Wait, next year's a leap year? No, 20, 28. Got it.
Starting point is 01:54:26 Yeah. So this is going to be a long year. But then he's going to be like, that was really long. But then the next year is going to be even longer. I think he's talking about. I think he's talking about the year he's in that it's going to be Yeah 2027 will not be that long
Starting point is 01:54:37 This is going to be a long season for him Yeah and the whole like going from playing College football to the training for the draft to do all that shit But it might be It might be a good thing that the cardinals are going to find themselves In some pretty deep holes Because they're not going to He's going to get a lot of touches in like the first quarters of games
Starting point is 01:54:57 No I think they're actually I mean he had 14 carries today I think they're doing the right thing of not, they're trying not to like burn him out right away. Right. What happened with the ref? Trey McBride, there was a clip. The ref just saying to Trey McBride, fuck you, fuck you. They're yelling at each other.
Starting point is 01:55:13 So, Schafter said that they're investigating this. Are refs not allowed to say this? I don't think that they're supposed to say it. Supposed to and not allowed to are two different things. Supposed to, yeah, sure, I get it. But are they not allowed to? Is this ref going to get... My guess would be that they're not allowed to cusset players.
Starting point is 01:55:31 I feel like ref should be able to But similarly They shouldn't be able to throw a flag When a player cusses at them Yeah, that's why they should wear body camps I want to hear the ref side of the If Trey McBride was yelling at him Hey, fuck you ref
Starting point is 01:55:45 Right, he should be able to say fuck you back I'd be okay with the ref saying fuck you buddy Right Instead of throwing a flag I'd actually prefer the ref to yell Fuck you back Then throwing a flag Right
Starting point is 01:55:55 It's kind of funny though They had like the zoom in Why just refs say fuck you I'm sure refs say it'll all the time. Yeah, we just, we just aren't going to give any leeway to a ref because fuck them. Yeah. You know what I mean? They did. I've never heard a ref say that to Patrick Mahomes. Yeah. Interesting. We can say, Max. We have one statement from resident Colton fan or a Cardinals fan Colton. He said, done with Jacoby Reset. Let's just see what Carson back is. I agree. Sure.
Starting point is 01:56:24 Jacob Reset is the same guy every single game. You're going to have like one or two drives that look awesome and then it's that's it so figure out yeah I might as well there's no reason because you can you cobra says it's not the future go throw Carson Beck out there see what you got and then get back in the draft
Starting point is 01:56:43 they got some nice pieces though but just do it I think Michael Wilson not a bad player pretty good player yeah I think Trey McBride awesome player Jeremiah I love probably going to be an awesome player but so then have Carson Beck run the office yeah yeah all right afternoon games Vikings 15 dolphins 10
Starting point is 01:57:02 The dolphins did cover Congratulations to the dolphins for doing that The dolphins have not scored More than 13 points in any of their games Also the last two teams So there's three teams Since 2000 to go through four games Without scoring 13 points
Starting point is 01:57:23 The teams are The 2004 dolphins The 2019 dolphins and the 2026 dolphins. That's impressive. That's so sad. As a franchise. That's really sad.
Starting point is 01:57:34 I'll say this. The dolphins play better defensively than they have. They were getting after Kyler Murray. And Jacob Rodriguez is awesome. He's a fucking, I think he had 18 tackles. He played 78 total defensive snaps. 18 total tackles, nine solo tackles, nine stops. He's a beast.
Starting point is 01:57:58 Dolphins are not a fun watch. And Vikings, their defense is awesome. Their offense still kind of sucks. Their offense does suck. Yeah. Five field goals today. And since week one, their kicker, Will Reichard. Is that how you say?
Starting point is 01:58:12 Will Reichardt. He has outscored their offense. I think it's like 32 to 6 in weeks 2, 3 and 4. And then their special teams has six points as well. So their special teams and their kicker are both, at least tied if not beating their offense in terms of points scored. The list of every team that started 4-0 that failed to score an offensive touchdown in two of the games.
Starting point is 01:58:40 It's the 1922 Chicago Cardinals. Okay. 1923 Chicago Cardinals. Wow. 1934 Detroit Lions and the 2006 Minnesota Vikings. That's crazy. So the offense is not good. No.
Starting point is 01:58:54 We can say now it's not good. They got over 250 yards. That did happen today. and their yard differential gets a boost because their defense suffocated the dolphins. But yeah, I don't, it's a tough one. Kyler kind of got a little better as the game went on. Like finding T.J. Hawkinson, who had 13 catches.
Starting point is 01:59:15 I just don't know. If you're a Vikings fan, what are you doing watching this right now? Are you, I guess what you're saying to yourself is just, our defense is elite, can Kyler Murray, like, at some point round into shape here? And Justin Jefferson obviously wasn't playing, which is a massive deal. But if Kyler Murray can get comfortable in KOC's offense, this could be a really good team. It's just right now their offense is so bad. It could be.
Starting point is 01:59:42 You remember that year that they had the negative point differential? Yeah, we called them frauds and people got mad at us. People got mad. I understood. I think that I think this year has more promise. Yeah. Someone actually asked me when I did my fantasy corner this morning, they're like, are the Vikings frauds? And I said, no, they're not frauds.
Starting point is 01:59:59 Everyone knows what the Vikings are right now. They are an elite, elite defense and a really broken offense. And if you can fix the offense, that's a good team. Yeah. Like they have something that they do that is really, really good, which is like that that's important. If you have one, if at least you have one thing that you can fall back on, this is our identity of our team that we're going to just dominate you defensively.
Starting point is 02:00:24 That's a really big step. It's just, the offense has just been a mess. Yeah, so this is, it's something that I think can be fixed because you have one of the best coaches in the NFL to fix it. Do we? Do you that? I think so. I would say so with KOC. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:00:39 I would put them in like the top 10 in terms of offensive coaches. So yeah, you can fix it also slightly misleading, just a little bit misleading because T.J. Hockinson went down at the one yard line. Yeah, true. At the very last second. That's go down culture. Go down culture. This game is go down culture, which it sucked for those of us that had bet on the Vikings.
Starting point is 02:00:58 Yeah, no, you're right. That should have been a touchdown. We can say that Will Reichard's, he's only outscoring the offense 32 to 12. That's really more like it. And that was what I said. Like I, this game specifically, if you're a Vikings fan, it did look like Kyler got more comfortable as the game went along. So can he build off that next week? Yeah, I don't think Kyler played poorly today at all.
Starting point is 02:01:22 And I think that there's room for growth with him, too. What else I have? Oh, the best, the real, if you miss this game, the best way I would sum it up is if you look at the fourth quarter drive charts. So the fourth quarter drive charts are going as such. Minnesota, 15 plays 60 yards, eight minutes and 30 seconds. I think they got a field goal off that. Miami, three plays two yards, one minute. Minnesota 11 plays 74 yards, five minutes and 41 seconds.
Starting point is 02:01:56 So Miami had three offensive snaps in the fourth quarter. And they had the ball for one minute. That was kind of how this game went. Where they just. Ollie Gordon looked good. Say that. He did. Ollie Gordon.
Starting point is 02:02:07 He's a big dude. Way to go, Ollie Gordon. Shout out to Malik Willis, who's just doing what he does. He's just doing it. He's just nine for 17 for 85 yards. Good. You know what? Great friend move by Halfley.
Starting point is 02:02:20 To be like, I'm going down to Florida. They've got this plan. They need to lose a bunch of games. games, get a good draft pick. I like that quarterback we had in Green Bay. He's a good dude. We'll sign him for, what, $40 million? He'll get paid like a starter.
Starting point is 02:02:37 He'll follow through on the assignment. That's just a good friend. That's a good friend move by Coach Affle. I'd agree. I'd agree. That's a very good friend move. Nine for 17 is a very funny statelines. We're getting a Josh Rosen term.
Starting point is 02:02:48 Nine for 17 with, what, 85 yards? 85 yards. That's a Josh Rosen sat line. Okay. Next game. This one was also a little bit of a slog. 49ers 24 Broncos 14 What, 3-3 at half?
Starting point is 02:03:01 Neither offense could do anything And then basically everyone important on the 49ers show Kittles touchdown run which was awesome George Kittle tore his Achilles Nine months ago? Nine months ago He has four touchdowns on the year He had a 56-yard touchdown where he ran away from everyone
Starting point is 02:03:24 he's a beast he's a freak and the Niners like defense was really good today I don't know what's going on with the Broncos offense I feel like Sean Payton you gotta just take the play calling back right
Starting point is 02:03:39 PFT I think he's PFT I think things can get a little more ugly than this because I think it's also gotten to the point where so Sean Payton looks up to Bill Parsells like pretty much a like a football dad and I think what he learned from Parcells was like how to delegate, how to find somebody that would be almost like an heir apparent. Because Bill Parcells did mentor a lot of people, a lot of coaches.
Starting point is 02:04:06 I think Sean Payton sees like the final part of his legacy developing a coaching tree under himself. I don't get it. And so he wants to do, he wants to do right by some of the guys that are coaching with him right now. I don't get it. I think it has to get worse before he steps back in. The, he could even great move would be just secretly taking it back. I feel like he kind of did for a minute there, maybe in the second half, because in the first half. But that's also just, it's impossible to tell with Bo Nix. Right.
Starting point is 02:04:34 Like if the play gets that much better in the second half, is it because Sean Payton secretly took back play calling, or is it because Bo Nix exists and that's how he plays? They're scoring 3.25 points in the first half through four games. I think they've been shut off twice in the first half. Bo Nix just, I don't know what happens. he just doesn't he'll have just long stretches in this game was like basically the entire game up until like the two minute warning he just there's no shots downfield there's just no shots downfield whatsoever i feel like that's just not sean peyton would be a little bit more aggressive and i don't know yeah i don't know davis webb he was asked about it shan peyton and he said it's too early to consider it's a fair question i appreciate it it's tough to discuss any of that right now that doesn't feel great no it's a fair question it i think it is a fair question i think it is a fair question i think it is a fair question It's 100% a fair question. Niners, by the way, are just, they're just good.
Starting point is 02:05:27 They keep getting injured and they're good. Like, their defense limits has allowed the most or least explosives through four games. So they just don't give anyone like 10, 20-yard plays, which is. Fred Warner. Yeah, been awesome. Their offense was not great today, but another day with no sacks on Bo Nix. And Bo Nix threw four games. a thousand yards, 11 touchdowns, one interception. He's probably the MVP through four games.
Starting point is 02:05:54 Brock Party. Brock Party, sorry, sorry. No sacks and, yeah, one flag today. I didn't realize this stat till I saw it after the game. Kyle Shanahan has now coached more games for the 49ers than Walsh ever did. Wow. That is crazy. You overtook him on the list, but I guess they played fewer games a season,
Starting point is 02:06:11 but Kyle's been there for a very long time. And I guess Walsh leaving after him, we kind of forgot that they were just kind of like new coach every couple years for a while. for the 49ers. But yeah, he's Calhianan is like, he is firmly established as like one of the old dudes
Starting point is 02:06:26 like the old guard in the NFL now. Yeah, he's not a young whiz kid anymore. No. 49ers are good. I don't know what to do with the Broncos.
Starting point is 02:06:34 Does anyone know what to do with Broncos? Do you guys like Boenicks? Anyone in the booth? No? Max shaking his head no. Broncos are boring. Doddington.
Starting point is 02:06:41 Dottington bones. Yeah. They should be good. Oh, Patrick Sturtain got hurt today, which is a problem. Yeah. Non-contact injury. I saw one of the doctors
Starting point is 02:06:50 online say muscle strain. Okay. So hopefully it's not anything too bad, but it looked really bad at the time. Yeah. I would take if NFL teams had quarterback rules like Major League Baseball bullpins, I would take Bo as my closer. He's a closer. But he's not a guy that's going to go out and give you
Starting point is 02:07:08 he's not going to give you seven innings. No. Also, Jalen Waddle stinks. Oh. Okay. You agree, Hank. I do. Yeah. Why? Because he stinks. He never, I don't know, I bet on him a couple times. And he's a fancy team. Okay.
Starting point is 02:07:24 Personal vendetta. Yeah. I'm all for that, by the way. I'm number one guy if someone fucks me over. I'm just like, that guy sucks forever. I know he did score a touchdown, but 35 yards. You got to get more. They don't take shots down field.
Starting point is 02:07:41 Then why get Jalen Waddle? I know. That's what I'm saying. He hasn't been in the mix at all. That's what I, yeah, they spent all this draft app to go get. Go get him. And they don't use them. He told his wife to draft him in fantasy.
Starting point is 02:07:53 Yeah. It's crazy. I'm agreeing with you. I think it's fucking nuts. The Broncos piss me off. They should be better. It's funny to think about, but Sean Payton is probably being harder on Davis Webb because his wife drafted Waddling Fantasy.
Starting point is 02:08:09 Hand up. I didn't know that he went for 140. What the fuck are you doing? Yeah, he did go off. I didn't know he went off a week. Yeah, no, that was when they started that second half. That was what the Broncos second half against the Jags was like, holy shit, this is the team. You're thinking about Monday night.
Starting point is 02:08:26 Yeah, the Rams game really pissed me off with him. And then he's nothing. I'm not counting the Jags game. Okay. If you're asking me, not count. We don't count that. Niners is just really good. I thought this was a game that the Niners would maybe struggle because the Broncos defense is good.
Starting point is 02:08:44 And they, they didn't look like they looked against the Cardinals and the Dolphins. But next weekend, Seahawks is going to be awesome. That's going to be a great game. Great game. I can't wait to see it. Okay. Let's do a couple more ads, and then we will finish the last two games, and then we'll do who's back. Starting point is 02:10:59 That's no bowlproject.com. Code PMT, 35% off. Okay, Seahawks 30 Chargers, 23. Seahawks got their groove back. Chargers are the most broken team of the NFL. The game started in one of the most hilarious fashions possible. First time ever. First time ever it's happened.
Starting point is 02:11:18 Justin Herbert goes out there and throws a pick. I would say it's like a pick that a rookie quarterback would throw, but that would be doing a disservice to most rookie quarterbacks. This was one of the worst interceptions I've ever seen. It was one of those where it was like right at a linebacker. But if the linebacker wasn't there, there was a defensive back that was staying in front of the receiver that was going to have an even easier interception than the linebacker did.
Starting point is 02:11:41 And then Sam Donald gets the ball and throws it right back. And the Sam Donald was funny in its own way because Sam Donald threw a pick where he actually had a lot of time. And at the end, he was just like, you know what? Here you take it and gave it to the Chargers. Yeah. Pickagami. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:11:54 Never happened. First two offensive snaps of the game. Pick, pick. It was so fucking funny. And yeah, I, it's good for the Seahawks. I'll start with them. They, uh, even worry looks all the way back. He was an absolute beast.
Starting point is 02:12:12 The score is a little misleading. It was 30 to 13. Uh, and then the Chargers, which credit to them fought back, got back in the game. The Seahawks running backs, or running game was good, even though they missed their top two running backs in Charbonnet and Chederian Price. So it feels like Seahawks are going to be just fine. Like, I don't really know what else to say.
Starting point is 02:12:32 The penalty sucked. Penalties suck. Yeah, 30 penalties for 280 yards. Mm-hmm. The Chargers are the most broken team. They haven't yet again. They went into a game. Their own four.
Starting point is 02:12:44 Derwin James's hurt didn't play Slater got hurt Joel got hurt Lad got hurt they all left the game I they muff punts they have penalties I don't know what to say Our guy Shane
Starting point is 02:13:00 was watching the game while playing He was building a Minecraft village I was like what are you doing dude He's like is my way that I can cope Because he's just so down bad Yeah they're down bad Did you see One of the most bizarre post game press conferences
Starting point is 02:13:13 when they talk to Harbaugh about what he's thinking with the offense and McDonald? No. Or McDaniel? What do you say? Can we pull up the clip? Because I can't do it justice. He kind of, he gets unplugged and kind of rebooted in the middle of the answer. By the way, Max, I think you, no one has been proven more correct.
Starting point is 02:13:36 Big stupid. Than Max Salente's big stupid pick guy take. Yeah, I mean, he also got his ass kick today. Yeah, he did. he's a big stupid pick guy he's a big stupid pick guy he makes some cool throws but at the expense of some big stupid picks and a lot of big stupid
Starting point is 02:13:51 right you don't give big stupid pick awards to like quarterbacks that just stink like the worst quarterbacks in league you would never say that right you'd just be like this guy sucks yeah yes correct but a guy like Herbert big stupid pick guy
Starting point is 02:14:06 I'm trying to think who I like Nathan although Nathan Peterman's big stupid pick guy. But he's just a funny stupid because he's a funny, maybe a funny stupid pick guy. Yeah. Herbert, by the way, is the first Chargers quarterback to throw six picks and have
Starting point is 02:14:23 10 or more sacks through four games since Ryan Leif. That's not good to be in the same conversation. Let me play this. Yeah, play about Mike McDaniel's job security and I don't know what happened here, but this doesn't seem good. It doesn't seem to kill Harbaugh.
Starting point is 02:14:39 It doesn't seem good. I'm seeing his face right now. Yeah. He's, well, what's got to kill him is he just lost to his own son. I know. His... And he lost the brown jug. Yeah. Okay. Go ahead. Like our players, like, and we have skilled coaches, and we're going to keep growing. That's...
Starting point is 02:15:08 No, no, no. His job is not in jeopardy. Oh, man. Yeah. He just got lost. He got lost and just kind of had to be woken back up. This game is going to kill. Well, that was like he wanted to say something. Yeah. His coach, like, don't be smart. Yeah. Kicked in and he short-circuited.
Starting point is 02:15:29 Yeah. Memes, you sit next to Shane or sit one away from him. What was it like watching the game with him? I personally had to will the Chargers back into the game because he just didn't give a fuck. He's playing Minecraft. And memes had the over like four times. I was just like, come on, Chargers, Chargers. He was like, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 02:15:50 So that's, it's very mean what you did, Memes. No. He was perfectly fine, not caring about the game. Yeah, but I want to see people for their teams. Yeah, and he... Obviously, nothing matters. Right. But, like...
Starting point is 02:16:02 Oh, that's a good quote. Nothing does matter. Nothing does matter. Who gives a fuck? You're right. Like, what are we even doing right now? Well, this matters. Yeah, I know, but we're talking about, like, what does this matter?
Starting point is 02:16:15 Sports don't matter. They don't. They do not matter. Sports matter so much. No, but memes is correct. They do matter so much, but they don't. No, they matter. but sometimes
Starting point is 02:16:25 nothing matters like the chargers don't matter we're all gonna die nothing matters I'll say sports matter they matter a lot the NFL matters a lot
Starting point is 02:16:33 but it doesn't the chargers don't really matter well the concept of sport matters right no no you could say sports matter but like when you actually look at it you're like none of this matters and that's where Shane is at right now
Starting point is 02:16:45 which we need to get him out of that yeah I kept saying who's got it better than us he was just like everybody I felt so bad for him because I the Chargers had this comeback and I was like get Shane in here get Shane in here
Starting point is 02:17:01 he came into the gambling cave he could he is the his ass hit the seat as Justin Herbert was getting strip sacked and we're like all right Shane we don't need you anymore he got like all right he got strip sack by a former charger
Starting point is 02:17:16 in Wosu he was in the building he couldn't even sit his ass down he just like all right, get out of here. You're done. Come on, Jane. Right there, right there, right there. Sit down.
Starting point is 02:17:33 Oh. That's how long. That was mean that I hit him with the art. You can leave. I'll say it. I'll say. They're so broken, man. But he could have.
Starting point is 02:17:45 Yeah. It was, it was funny. It was. It was like a trampoline that, like, he sat down and just got, went right back up. I don't know what else they can do. It's, it's bad. Just they're, they're a fully. They're just a disaster of a team.
Starting point is 02:18:00 They're dysfunctional. They're bad. Herbert's getting killed. He doesn't look like he's having fun. He's throwing big stupid picks. Maybe they'll beat the Broncos. But in a way, that's what? Oh, it's funny.
Starting point is 02:18:12 It's even funny watching without sound. He barely get his ass down. He doesn't even get it down. It just popped right. Yep. Down. All right. See ya.
Starting point is 02:18:23 Maybe they could beat the Broncos. I think. Without Patrick Stanton? I think it's possible But I mean it's Are they gonna start trading guys? I want glue mac back That's what I was gonna say
Starting point is 02:18:37 Yeah I want you think they should bad Sent to a playoff team And that's perfect You know they have Adam Gase on their staff Yeah I saw him I did a jump scare
Starting point is 02:18:45 When I saw him on the sideline Like whoa How'd that happen What a dumb fucking decision that is I just don't They're never going to be healthy enough They're just such I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry
Starting point is 02:18:58 I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I thought I was on mute. What are you doing? I'm looking for more angles of the Shane sit. Oh, man. Yeah, I don't know what to say for Shane for Chargers fans. I'm sorry. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:19:13 I apologize. It was, I don't think that cuts it anymore. I think they know. They know everything. Chargers fans know everything that we're saying about them right now. Yeah. You can't tell a Chargers fan anything now. Play it.
Starting point is 02:19:25 Play it now. Oh, it's also so funny. just immediately takes the scene. Oh, man. Well, Hank got up. I think you're watching the clip. It restarted the clip. Oh, I thought you wanted me to watch it.
Starting point is 02:19:41 No, no. Oh, you want me to watch a different clip? Look at him later. Hank Wrightbacking. Oh, that was Hank right back in. That's perfect. Oh, man. All right.
Starting point is 02:19:55 They had corgi races at halftime. You see the corgi race? No. Banana dominated. Okay. And Banana did the Usain Bolt where it like gets out to a lead and then turns its head around and like smiles at him as it sprints. Did it watch us? I feel.
Starting point is 02:20:10 Oh, okay. Looks back. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah. Great performance by Banana. Great performance. Corgi owners are they? They're cat adjacent.
Starting point is 02:20:23 Yeah, I was going to say. Yeah, they're crazy cat lady adjacent for sure. There are certain dogs. It's like you. I guess Bulldog is similar to Bulldogs. not, they're not like corgis, but like there's certain dog breeds where it's like, you're only this dog breed. Yeah, corgi would be one of those.
Starting point is 02:20:39 Yeah. Doesn't the Queen of England? Don't, don't. They might have corgis. The royal family. I think they have a shitload of corgis. Yeah. But yeah, they're kind of like, I like corgis.
Starting point is 02:20:48 You know, they're cute. They're like little fluffy butts. Very, very cute dogs. Aren't they like, how did they get so short? A lot of inbreeding. Yeah. Which is where the royal family comes in. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:21:00 Because they're real short. Yeah They'll stop You got big bodies What are they What are they a mix of? Like dwarves Uh
Starting point is 02:21:09 The core and the ghee I don't know Okay I don't know what there Some sort of hound maybe I have no idea It would be awesome If we had the guy
Starting point is 02:21:18 Who has Google Sitting right in front of them Looking up for us real quick But that's What do you mean They're just corgis No no But they're obviously
Starting point is 02:21:25 A mix of two different dogs Or maybe You know what I'm thinking Confirmed But they have to How about that They have to No you know what I'm thinking of
Starting point is 02:21:31 I'm thinking of I You didn't have to look that up. All right. Good job, Zach. Good job, Max. Max was right. I didn't even need to look it up.
Starting point is 02:21:38 There's, I saw a husky corgi mix. That was cool. Yeah, a husky corgi mix is a mix of a husky and a corgis. Can you look that up? I know. I wanted. So how is that the same fucking thing? I know, dude.
Starting point is 02:21:49 I fucking know. I was wrong. Yeah, there you go. Husky corgi makes kind of fucked up. You misspelled husky. That's cool. That's cool. That's a cool dog.
Starting point is 02:21:59 That's a cool dog. Husky corgis? Those are very cool. Yeah. So they, my bad, Cardigan Welsh Corgi over 3,000 years old,
Starting point is 02:22:08 that was a Celtic tribe that brought their ancestors to whales. So their ancestors before them were probably just like short cattle herding dogs. Got it. I thought it was just,
Starting point is 02:22:18 I'm so stupid. I thought it was like a short dog and a big dog mixed and the short dog won out. I'm in on a husky corny. I know. They're kind of cool. I would love husky corgues.
Starting point is 02:22:28 They're kind of cool. Can you mix a corgi with anything? Look for bulldog corgi. I'm sure you could, yeah. No? I don't like that, the idea of that. You don't know.
Starting point is 02:22:36 You didn't know what a husky corgi was until I said it. Yeah, that's fair. Core means dwarf. Oh, cool dog Corgi is a cool. That's a cool dog. Yeah, that's a good looking dog. What about Golden Rechiever Corgi? See how many weird corgis you can make?
Starting point is 02:22:55 I bet you this is a really good looking dog. That's a good looking dog. Yeah. That's a good looking dog. That just looks like a monkey dog. So maybe I don't like corgis. I like blue healer. What?
Starting point is 02:23:07 A what? Blue healer corgi. What's a, I don't even know. It's like a blue healer. It's a cattle dog. Yeah. Blue healer.
Starting point is 02:23:14 Dude, blue healers are awesome dogs. Oh, yeah. Now, this is a cool dog. Blue healers are awesome. Blue healer corgi, I bet would make a fantastic combo. But you also,
Starting point is 02:23:21 blue healers, it's messed up to own a blue healer with an apartment. Those dogs need to run. That's a good looking dog. That's a good looking dog. That's good looking. I mean, I think Husky Corgi won.
Starting point is 02:23:32 A goal retriever corgi too, then blue healer corgi. Thoughts on a massive corgi. What? Tibet massive corgi? Does that work like with the parts? Oh shit. I might be in on Dalmatian corgis. Oh, is that German Shepherd corgi?
Starting point is 02:23:49 That's funny. That's awesome that they meet. Whoa. Yeah, that's a cool dog, dude. A Dalmatian corgi. Look at the first picture. That's a cute ass dog. I'm in on the Dalmatian Corgi.
Starting point is 02:24:01 Oh, man. You could just mix corgis with anything and make awesome dogs. I don't, again, I'm not a big corgi guy, but I think when you mix them, I'm in. Can you do, uh, can you do Bastetown Corgi? Oh, that's probably going to be, that's probably too good of a dog. Droopy? Yeah. Let's see.
Starting point is 02:24:22 Please adopt, don't shop. Ah, that's a good dog. That's a cute looking dog. That's a cute looking dog. Dogs are the best. They really are the best. Hank hates dogs. He does.
Starting point is 02:24:32 He hates dogs. Max hates dogs too. No. Hank doesn't, Max, has a dog. You posted a picture of your dogs that looked like it was being held hostage. Yeah, she was stressed about the Phillies game.
Starting point is 02:24:43 Is that because you were yelling at her? Living with you. No, it was before the Phillies game. What did Shane just send her? She was stressed going in. She knew how big the game was. Yeah, she's a fan. She was wearing, she was wearing Phillies gear, stressed.
Starting point is 02:24:56 It was hard to, it was trying to get a picture of her with, so you could see the Phillies. And to get that, you could only get it. I could only get a side eye picture of her. Did Shane just send us a picture of her? of Jeremiah Smith in a Chargers uniform? Is that what it's all for? Is that what he's talking about?
Starting point is 02:25:12 Yeah. He didn't Photoshop the helmet. The helmet's 19. The jersey's four. Jeremiah Smith already said he wants to go to New York. Everyone's trying to get Jeremiah Smith. But he said he wants to go to New York. He's so fucking good.
Starting point is 02:25:26 Do you see which team? He wants to go to New York. That also is not how the NFL draft works. Actually, sometimes it is. Is the draft in New York? No, he's talking about the Heisman. But he said, I want to go. go to New York talking about that.
Starting point is 02:25:40 Oh, got it. He put it down. He wants to go to New York. Got it. He loves New York. Loves it. Gino Smith is his cousin. I love New York.
Starting point is 02:25:47 It was a great show. All right. Chiefs 30, Raiders 27 finishes off. I'm impressed at the Raiders. They were in this fucking game. And if it weren't for Patrick Mahomes and the Chief's offense just shot, like, big plays,
Starting point is 02:26:06 they had 235 of, of their 400 total yards were just big plays. We're just five plays that went for 20 plus. They had the Kenneth Walker 76-yard run to Tyquan Thornt and 55-yard pass. Then he got hurt. And that looks like he's going to be out for a while. They're probably going to resign Tyreek Hill.
Starting point is 02:26:25 I was impressed with the Raiders. The only thing I wasn't impressed with Clint Kubiak, like, what do we think about him taking points off the board? Didn't have as much a problem as I did with a halftime interview. Yeah. Where he says, we're winning. We're going to win the game. You can't say that.
Starting point is 02:26:38 Well, I think he's trying to change the culture You still can't say that I know That's why But that's probably why he took the points off the board too He's like we're gonna beat the chiefs We're gonna take it to the Chiefs I think he was probably thinking to himself
Starting point is 02:26:50 Like well my mouth wrote a big check Yeah Now I've got to try to cash it I think the Chiefs I mean the Raiders like they were in this game They were The Chief's big play Kenneth Walker is so fucking good He's great
Starting point is 02:27:03 It's like He's got 537 yards through four games that is number one over the last 10 years. Number two, Derek Henry in 2021 when he got off the crazy tractor Sito start. Yeah. 510 yards. Kenneth Walker, 537 over four games.
Starting point is 02:27:21 He is, I think he's definitely proven that he was better than replacement running back. Yeah, do you think John Snyder's is like, shit, I fucked that up? Probably. But also, I mean, Chiefs did pay him a lot of money. Yeah, definitely. And I think ideally they would have liked to keep them. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:27:40 There's got to be like a little bit of regret there. Yeah. But this was, yeah, the, the Chiefs had big plays when it mattered. And the Raiders, the Raiders are pretty funny that they're basically like building the whole plane out of tight ends. They just had three tight ends and they just throw them the ball. They had 16 catches, 200 yards, two touchdowns between the three tight ends. Yeah. Kind of like it.
Starting point is 02:28:03 Who is the one guy that hasn't? Ian Thomas. Ian Thomas. Ian Thomas hasn't caught a pass since, what, 2021? He caught two in a touchdown today, yeah. He hasn't caught a touchdown pass since 2021. And today, they were just like, we're going to build, yeah, we're going to hit Ian Thomas in the red zone. Yeah. And, yeah, the Raiders run a very, very fun offense.
Starting point is 02:28:23 It's creative, which is something, it's kind of shocking to see. Right. But with Kirk Cousins playing like Kirk Cousins always plays, yeah, they can be a decent team this year for sure. Yeah. They look, and you know what? It's not just they're, you know, competing and they're winning some football games. They're actually a fun team to watch.
Starting point is 02:28:41 I've moved the Raiders. I agree. Into the fun team to watch category. I agree. And the Chiefs are just the Chiefs. They're going to get the one seat. They're just going to keep rattling off wins. Yeah, when is Tyree Kill going to be ready?
Starting point is 02:28:57 I don't know. That's good question. I don't know, but it's going to happen. Yeah. They said they were reaching out to him before that injury, but they had Rashid Rice. Is she rice okay? Hamstring, yeah.
Starting point is 02:29:07 He's got a hamstring and then Taekwant Thornton's definitely out for a while. That was a compound fraction. I mean, that was also, that was adrenaline being an incredible drug because he caught the pass, got tackled, and then he stood up to celebrate. And then as he put weight on the foot, he looked down and he was like, oh, fuck, that is pointing backwards. Yes. I better sit down for a second. Yes.
Starting point is 02:29:28 Yes. That was, uh, that's, that was bad. That was bad. Uh, okay. I got a question for you guys. Max? I was going to ask what you think the line is for Raiders at Patriots tomorrow next week because I think that's a very interesting game.
Starting point is 02:29:43 Oh, Raiders at Patriots. So the Raiders beat the Patriots last year. Well, let me do, let's do, let's do the Roeback question. R-HO, BACK.com, promo code take 20% off first purchase. Q Zips, Polos, hootie, joggers, shorts, roback.com, promo code take. Roeback has the best gear out there. Whose line is it anyway? Hank.
Starting point is 02:30:02 Raiders Patriots I already looked it up Okay That was really good of you Honesty I'm gonna say Patriots minus Three and a half
Starting point is 02:30:15 I'm gonna say two and a half I'll take three on the dot I'll take three and a half Okay Good pick Yeah I think that could be a very good game Yeah
Starting point is 02:30:28 Yeah It's a letdown game For trap game What you probably wish that the Raiders had won against the Chiefs and you wish you had lost against the bills yeah in order to win this game
Starting point is 02:30:44 yes overarching no who's the trap game for Patriots because they're going to be right and high we play the Jets the week after right so it's a look ahead spot that's a trap game pussy yeah pussy
Starting point is 02:31:00 or are the Patriots are looking ahead to the Jets. Are you overlooking the Raiders because of the best? Yeah, I think it's the Raiders. I think they overlooked him last year. They're probably going to overlook him. It's going to be a tough game. The Raiders are good.
Starting point is 02:31:15 I know. Yeah. Very good. Kirkco. Kirkgo bags. Feels like he's less of a dumb, big, dumb, stupid pick guy than he used to be. I kept waiting for it and he just, he's a little more controlled, has better command of the offense. I mean, I think the knock against Kirk Cousins was usually that he was just,
Starting point is 02:31:33 He was too safe for the ball sometimes. But then late in the games, I feel like he would just give it up. What, uh, oh, we should talk about the night game. Bryce Young is awesome. That was an incredible game from Bryce Young. He would, like, and Ted. Yeah, but like Bryce Young from the beginning of the game, it was like, he is feeling it. He's on fire.
Starting point is 02:31:56 He's fun to watch. He's like, does he lead the league in yards? I think he does. You know what I was seeing from an especially in that first half is Somehow Canales over the last two years has gotten Bryce Young to stop like being afraid in the pocket Like he took a few hits as he was throwing the ball like some nasty hits that were coming in And he's just like unbothered just like confidently stepping forward throwing the past Getting hit and like he that going from a guy that had
Starting point is 02:32:27 Enormous amounts of like being shell-shocked by getting hit repeatedly that's a very very tough thing to get a quarterback to just forget and get back to like throwing with confidence in the pocket. Yeah. And somehow they've managed to do with Bryce Young. Yeah, he, yeah, like his ability, like he slides and moves up, steps up to, you know, each side. But yeah, Tet was awesome. I mean, Jalen Coker was out and their offense did not miss a beat. The Panthers have like a nice, they're missing guys in their secondary. They have a nice young team that looks, it was fun. The jerseys were awesome. Big night for the Panthers. Young is, he's good, man.
Starting point is 02:33:05 He's like really good. I said it on Friday. I rode the ladder and I was rooting for him. He's, he's fun to watch. And the Lions, I can't really judge the Lions until their defense gets healthy. So, because everyone's going to shred them. And that's not saying Bryce Young is not like Bryce Young is good. But a good quarterback will shred them.
Starting point is 02:33:24 Are we worried that the Lions just, they're not a good football team and they won't be a good football team? I think they can be a good football team. Right now they might not be. Because they, so they beat the, they beat the Saints, but they almost gave that one up. Yep. To the Shetka. And then they beat the Jets as well,
Starting point is 02:33:47 but they only beat the Jets by seven points. Yeah, I think. And the Jets were like, what memes? I'm just looking. Did you think, did you get the impression that the lions were, a good team when they played the Jets. Offat's very good. Their defense needs to get healthy.
Starting point is 02:34:05 They're a problem right now. Prishung is leading the league in passing guards. Through four weeks. Yeah, Gino had 320 against them too. Yeah. The Shuckster hasn't gone yet. Shuckster has not gone. Reminder, get your Shuck ladders in.
Starting point is 02:34:19 He needs like $3.50 to take the lead back. Shuck in prime time is going to rock. Do you, do we, are we little nervous that, like are, you know, the band you've been seeing in the basement is about to go. Like if he, if the Shuckster goes off on Monday night football, people are going to be talking. Troy's going to fall in love with him. They're going to be talking about. Here's a thing that I've learned about the Shuckster and the, in the many, many snaps that I've watched from him.
Starting point is 02:34:48 He's a little bit of a gun slinger. Yeah. So he may throw a couple, you know, you know, you know, balls that don't look great. Don't say stupid picks. I didn't say that. Yeah. Balls that don't look great. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:34:58 But then he's going to sling it. Sling it. So you just got to, you can't be defeated when you see the, the throws that don't look so good. Yeah. Because a good throws are common. Yeah, they are. That's my warning for, in fact, the world of what they're about to see with the Shuckster. I would even say the worst the throws look at the start, the more you know it's coming.
Starting point is 02:35:19 Yeah. Oh, yeah. That means that it's common. That means he's just like holding down the button that's building up the energy for the big throws that are coming. Yeah, the supernova throws. Yeah. He's using all of his energy so he can't be expected
Starting point is 02:35:32 to go out there in the first quarter and look like primetime shuck. But yeah, the worst the pick is in the first quarter, that just means that's the better his third quarter is going to be. Agreed. I'm so ready for sure. Troy Eichmann's going to fall in love of him. Joe Buck is going to come himself.
Starting point is 02:35:49 It's going to be fucking awesome. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be the stickiest booth. The Shuckster. Okay. Let's finish up with who's, Back of the Week. Who's Back of the Week's brought to you by Twisted Tea. It's football season and we've never been more ready for game day. We're bringing Twisted Tea along for the ride all
Starting point is 02:36:07 season long. Twisted Tea is a refreshing hard ice tea made with real brood tea and five percent alcohol. Twisted Tea party pack has a little something for everyone with original half and half raspberry and peach, whether you're tailgating at the stadium crushing teas in your man cave or grilling out with your friends. Twisted tea is there to turn your day up a notch and make a good time, a great time. We love Twisted T. PFT Air Drop Some at J.MU this weekend. Big Win.
Starting point is 02:36:34 Twisted T, the originals, the half and a house. We love them all. Twisted T. Grab a refreshing twisted tea today. Keep it twisted with twisted tea. I'm going to have to do that in Madison at some point. The Badger's rolling. Hank, your who's back of the week. My who's back of the week is Dome.
Starting point is 02:36:52 Yeah. Shout out Dome. Talk about Milwaukee. Brewer's Dome. That too. Oh. The, yeah, the Brewers Pods. Pods got robbed.
Starting point is 02:37:03 Game one. Did they? Yeah. Was you sure that was a home run? Yeah. How'd they get robbed? Stackass? I...
Starting point is 02:37:09 So, explain it to people. The Padres hit a fly ball that hit the dome top of the roof. It hit either the ceiling or one of the support cables, yeah. Came down and it was caught.
Starting point is 02:37:24 It was a three. two game with one guy on in the in the top of the ninth one out tie france hit a ball that some saying would have gone out hit a cable got caught and i'm firmly have to believe the exit vlo and like the the fucking baseball nerds that think it's down to an exact science i like i i just vehemently disagree with that ball was going out the the hank cast numbers had that ball going now. Yes. By the eyeballs, it did look like the highest home run ever hit.
Starting point is 02:37:58 Because he crushed this shit. We don't know actually, I did do a little bit of a deep diving this. I have a couple questions. Number one, why was the roof closed? It was a beautiful night in Milwaukee. Was it not? Was there a reason the roof was closed?
Starting point is 02:38:14 Number two, do we know what the backspin numbers are? Because the backs, Hank, you go in the simulator, right? Yep. What do the backspend, the higher of the backspend, the shorter the total distance, right? So unless we know what the backspin numbers are, you're not going to be able to even make a guess in terms of how far it would have gone. Yeah, because like a couple, you know, a couple thousand RPM's, like if it's going forward,
Starting point is 02:38:40 that that can equate to like 20 feet, 30 feet, 40 feet. Well, it wasn't spinning forward. No, or like, like if it was, you know, 5,000 backspin versus 1,000 backspin, like that's a lot. Big difference. Huge difference. But the baseball nerd seemed to like are convinced like it would have only gone 340 feet like 100%. Like that's just not how it works. I mean it was the highest.
Starting point is 02:39:04 It did look like it might have been a home run just by the eye test. Yeah. I think it has to be over 60 degrees for the entire game for them to keep the roof open. But I don't know. Okay. Because it was a night game yesterday. It was like a really nice. It was open today.
Starting point is 02:39:16 Yeah. It was a really nice night. Yeah. But the pods got robbed. And then game two, they had like a 99. percentile. I saw the stat. It was like four 99th percentiles. It was like 102 mile an hour pitch. Yeah, Mason Miller. It was like 101 exit velo. The base runner was running like 30 miles an hour, 30 something feet per second or something. So it's just the best baseball play of all time. And then the throw home was like one, a 99th percentile speed from the Elfiel.
Starting point is 02:39:52 I'm not saying this is a jinx they kind of choked game yeah I'm not saying this is a jinx or anything the breers are going to win the world series they're they have team of destiny vibes they won 103 games they got guys who step up in big moments they got a dome that's that helps them when they need it like yeah that was the way they they won these two games feels very different it does feel team of destined the mill lucky brewers yeah but they're good Or you could just, yeah, they could just be the Milwaukee Brewers. 30.2 feet per second sprint speed. No, I think they're really good.
Starting point is 02:40:28 I don't think there's a lot of luck. I think they're just really fucking good. 99 mile an hour throw home from Jackson Meryl. Oh, man. Also, Chris and Yelich is getting kind of dragged. Why not having an RBI. Okay. Bullshit.
Starting point is 02:40:43 Through two games? No. Like, it's been... Oh, it's been a lot of games? Long time. Longest, longest... playoff drought without an RBI I like Christian Yelich
Starting point is 02:40:56 she's always been good to us he's a friend so I wish he didn't play for the brewers but 80 post okay that's a lot of bets I saw it when my friends have bad things happened I just ignore it I just I'm like I'm not going to pay attention to that but they're winning like yeah yeah yeah Tiger Woods and Phil Nixon have both one major since Christian
Starting point is 02:41:14 Elling Lich last half that's a pet then when you say it like that is Hank Hayden our friends I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not I literally started the stuff what people were saying and then I said Fuck them You didn't even need to say the stat Yeah It seemed like you relished it
Starting point is 02:41:27 I'm providing context The brurs are up to O and you were like Oh and by the way Christian Yehens needs to be dragged I'm pretty sure he started that rally In the 9 Yeah so he did he's a great I think you're a smart guy
Starting point is 02:41:39 Oh this is where it's like No but you are No no no I'll remember this Are you not a smart guy? Yeah You're a smart guy Yeah yeah you know that RBI's Those are dependent on your teammates
Starting point is 02:41:50 to be on base right you could have hit a home run. Oh, you don't say. Well, yeah, obviously you could hit a home run. But I'm saying that RBI is not the most important stat in the world. If he's getting hits, that's good. Good for him. Yep.
Starting point is 02:42:04 Yelich was the tying run in the ninth, and he walked with one out. The Tiger Phil thing felt like a lot to throw in there. Context. All right, other baseball real quick. White Sox Murkami's, I mean, he's just a dude. And he, the White Sox, Tate game one in Cleveland. Very excited for the stream we're going to be having here with White Sox Dave and Tate. I think Murakami said afterwards, like, they were like, what were you feeling?
Starting point is 02:42:37 He's like, I don't want to say because like it's, it's like dirty what I was feeling. Also, Tommy Fam, very funny to, in a win to post on his Instagram being like, how did this ball not go out? because I think he's saying that something's up with the ball because he had all the stats for it. He's like it should have been a home run. He had the cross wins and everything. The race, that was an incredible game where who, oh, my buddy, no escalators on Twitter said,
Starting point is 02:43:07 do you know how hard it is to be the one in a one hitter and have everyone be mad at you? Because Austin Wells got the only hit for the Yankees and then got thrown out by a million, miles at third base. And like, that's really what it is. He had the one and everyone hated him. He blew through the stop sign too.
Starting point is 02:43:28 Yeah. Like they were telling him, no, don't do this. Bad idea. Rasmussen was awesome. There were two outs. It's a cardinal rule of baseball. Do not make the third. And he was gone by a mile with his poor third base coach just put up to me.
Starting point is 02:43:44 You're already in scoring position at second. Stay at second, dude. It is. hilarious when you put it into content. Like he was the own, if he just stays at second, the Yankees lose and everyone's like, well, Austin Wells at least got a hit.
Starting point is 02:43:58 Instead, it's this fucking guy, also very mean to put John Carlos Stanton. Did you see that? He had to, I don't think he had in a bat since April. And they threw him, they pinch hit him in the ninth, facing like 102 miles an hour.
Starting point is 02:44:14 Yeah, this guy's got no chance. But, uh, that was great. Braves won a game. I think they had lost, what was it, seven in a row or something to the Dodgers? What was the stat? I saw a stat. Maybe that's wrong. Wait, I don't remember.
Starting point is 02:44:32 Either way, Braves had tie it 1-1, and then what series? No, that's it. That's all the series, right? Yeah. Yeah. Let's play off baseball. It's back. I'm excited.
Starting point is 02:44:42 Monday's going to be great. We've got some day baseball. It's going to be fun. PFT My who's back of the week is the U.S. men's national team. Yeah. Soccer's back, baby.
Starting point is 02:44:54 Wait, Hank, that doesn't sound like that was enthusiastic. Memes is pumped. Queen Latif is on the screen. Oh, hell yeah. Hell yeah. We beat Mexico. Kevin Sullivan. Fluffy of Max.
Starting point is 02:45:09 What about Kevin Sullivan? Yeah, Kevin Sullivan. Yeah, Kevin Sullivan. Beast. Beast. Sully. 35-yard goal. Pretty impressive. back in...
Starting point is 02:45:17 Wait, for the U.S. Men's... Yeah. He's playing for them? Yeah. Continuing our tradition of beating Mexico once a year, and then people thinking that we're good at soccer. Not me. We're back.
Starting point is 02:45:28 Nope. Not me either. Captain Sullivan, though. He said he took a nap before the game and visualized scoring a goal. Fuck yeah. And then got in. I think he is a little bit of a dog. Just the limited stuff I've seen from him.
Starting point is 02:45:41 Feel like he might be a dog. So this time is different. It might be different. Look at that goal. Are you allowed to say that about a minor? What? I don't know. He's too young.
Starting point is 02:45:52 To have a dog? It's an idiot. I don't think you can be too young to have a dog. If you have that responsibility. I'm counting this as a win for Philly. Yeah. Yeah. There you go.
Starting point is 02:46:05 Okay. I have two who's backs. One is Prime Day is the 6th and 7th. So Tuesday and Wednesday, 20% off stella blue coffee on Amazon. Go buy on Tuesday and Wednesday. And then my other who's back, it's a who's not, who's not back because we didn't talk about it. It was a Friday news dump. Tony Romo, not back.
Starting point is 02:46:26 And CBS parted ways. Open invite to Tony Romo to come to a gambling cave stream. That would be awesome. I, listen, I don't, driving while drunk is really, really bad. I also think that people should be allowed to, like, be able to be able to. to come back from their mistakes. So it felt crazy that he got fired over that. Like I understand it's bad. But yeah, I don't know. I think I am a believer in second chances in life. He said that he was going to spend some time like working on his health,
Starting point is 02:47:01 working with his family. I don't know what that meant that he wouldn't be able to to do his job this year. Yeah. Or how much time he was trying to take away. Maybe that had something to do with with him in CBS not working out. Oh, no, I think CBS fired him. You just Stone Cold fired him for getting OWI. They were like, hey, we're not going to bring you back. Let's figure out a way where we can pay you money. You don't sue us. We mutually part ways.
Starting point is 02:47:27 Yeah. I don't, there's no way that that's a mutual parting of ways is never mutual. Right. So. Well, it obviously would not have happened if it wasn't for the OWI. Yeah. But what I was saying was he was going to, he was planning on not being on the air at CBS. But that was CBC.
Starting point is 02:47:45 CBS's decision. In treatment. Well, no, CBS took him off the air before the season started. But that was CBS's decision. So I guess what I'm saying. I didn't know if he was going to be gone in treatment for like two months during the season or not. No, I think CBS was, they just were like, we're done here. It feels like, and it might have been other things.
Starting point is 02:48:05 It might have been, you know, the contract was too big. I don't know what was involved. But it definitely feels like CBS is like, we're not going to bring you back. So let's figure out a way to make this seem. I think he'll get a... That's mutual. He'll be back at some point. I don't think he's going to be like a lifetime ban from TV for Tony Romo.
Starting point is 02:48:22 But how... Marve Albert is calling games. I understand, but what... Will he be back? It's harder to be the number one. Like, he's not going to probably get the number one spot. Definitely not. So does he want it bad enough?
Starting point is 02:48:35 Yeah. He wants the number one spot. You know what I mean? That will be interesting. Yeah. It also, I mean, Tony Roe probably wants a little bit of a break. He went straight from football to this. Like, that's...
Starting point is 02:48:45 He's been doing for nine years, which is kind of crazy to think about. Basically, the course of this podcast. I, it'll be interesting. Yeah, there's, I think there's rumors because Troy Eichmann hasn't signed at ESPN. So people are like, what's going on here doing the wind horse fingers? But Joe Buck has. And then Greg Olson is a free agent and he wants to be a number one. Maybe some shuffling of chairs.
Starting point is 02:49:07 I just know, we obviously criticized Tony at times. We liked having him on the show. He was awesome when he came in. we interviewed him. I just think that people should get a second chance. So that was, it read to me like a firing. I know it wasn't posed as a firing.
Starting point is 02:49:25 I think CBS was like, Tony, here's your bags. I think he'll have another chance at some point. I don't know that he's going to ever have a chance to be a number one guy. Yeah. But he'll be calling a game at some point in the next 10 years.
Starting point is 02:49:37 But welcome to join us in a gambling street. Yeah. Although Greg Olson, Greg Olson does deserve a shot at some number one. booth somewhere. Yeah. We'll see how the decks get shuffled here. All right, Zach, finish us off. My who's back of the week
Starting point is 02:49:52 is going to be Tom Kim. Tom Kim Yes. May it possibly dodge a bullet by three strokes. Oh, actually. You never know. If he would have went, there might have been bullets, might have been shots, but he got it done in the Asia games. Yep. So what happened with him?
Starting point is 02:50:08 So he's from South Korea. South Korea has a mandatory military service of two years for all able-bodied males. He was coming up on that time where it's like you either have to have a medical exemption or a global sports accomplishment. It's either any medal in the Olympics or gold medal in the Asia Games and he got the gold medal in the Asia Games for the exemption. Yeah. It's a great moment. The military for Tom.
Starting point is 02:50:36 We're a bunch of the relief on his face. Fantastic. He said he wasn't thinking too much about it going into it. He just wanted to represent his country. I think that was him kind of bearing the lead. He was definitely thinking about a little more, right? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:50:50 Absolutely. You go into the final day and you're in contention? Yes. A hundred percent. It's a lot of pressure. I liked my guy, Bunky Perkins' tweet, which was just, we need more events in America where the winner gets exempt from military service. Yes.
Starting point is 02:51:05 I agree with that. Like, we won't even do that for guys that go to a military academy that are really good at football. A lot of times, we're like, hey, sorry, you still got to. Get on that sub for two years, then come talk to us. You sign papers. You got to go. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 02:51:20 Good show, boys. Anything else? Any other who's backs? Max beams? No. Nothing? Didn't bring who's back today? No.
Starting point is 02:51:30 All right, fine. Fine. Didn't want to bring who's back. Another football Sunday in the books. We've got some good guests coming up this week. Woo. Bill Burr on Friday. Possibly Ryan Russell on Wednesday.
Starting point is 02:51:45 You like Manning? Wednesday. It's going to be a good week. All right, numbers. 10. Do you want three? No, I'm going to go with two. All right, I'll take three. Got to get a win. Eight. Got to get her second one. Five. I don't even know.
Starting point is 02:52:05 The NHL's back. 86. Max, did you just say, I don't even know? Yeah, well, I normally do it off of like sports guys that I like. 15. What did you guess? And then I was like, I'll go with one.
Starting point is 02:52:20 Jacob the Gators Ugh He said Jacob the Gators Ugh Yeah I'm not very
Starting point is 02:52:30 I don't know why But whenever we Whenever we play Missouri and Eli Drinkwitz We become the worst football team To walk the earth
Starting point is 02:52:37 I wanted to gouge my eyes out With a with a sport I would be 716 11 Shane's awesome Oh
Starting point is 02:53:02 What did you get No one guessed They usually take five Mames? Mames, no. Well, no, Hank, too. Well, Hank doesn't care.
Starting point is 02:53:14 I don't go. Wait, me and PFT both said eight at the same time so that I'd said five. Oh, wait. Jack, God. Zah! Let's go, Zach. Zach.
Starting point is 02:53:25 Awesome job, Jack. You just weren't going to say anything? I was trying, I was trying. I was trying to. And that's usually memes his number. No, no. I didn't. I didn't.
Starting point is 02:53:34 I shouldn't hit, I shouldn't press. No. This one doesn't count. This one doesn't count. 89. Eighty-nine. Zad! How many times you got this?
Starting point is 02:53:44 Twice. Beast. Dude. Can you help memes? Beast mode. I thought it was banned. Wait, what happened? How did you get it the first time?
Starting point is 02:53:54 Jail Brunson. Oh, right. Oh, yeah, that's right. I did realize the other day my parking spot is also 11. Shout out Jalen Bronson. So, Zach, you've gotten it twice, and memes has never gotten it. Guys get it sometimes, yeah? Well, the crazy part is that...
Starting point is 02:54:09 I'm going to leave here and say that Zach's bit is running his course. Start treating mean things like that. The two times that Zach's got it, he's gotten it using memes as numbers. I know. Was that the maddest you've ever been, memes? No, but I was pretty mad. What about when the pageant to be the Jets last year and you came in with your fist clench, one to fight me?
Starting point is 02:54:29 Was that two years ago? What was that? I was that. I mean two years ago. Hmm. That doesn't ring a bell. It doesn't sound like something I would do. Hmm.
Starting point is 02:54:41 All right. All right. Happy birthday to Grant Hill. Happy birthday to Travis Kelsey. Happy birthday to Mario Lemieux. Happy birthday on Tuesday to Trevor Lawrence. Happy birthday to Kyle Pitts, Braxton Berrios, Richard Seymour,
Starting point is 02:54:56 and to Brony James. Love you guys. Also, happy birthday today to Tony LaRouza.
