So, to make ourselves and hopefully you feel better about the trials and tribulations of modern-day parenting, each week we're chatting to a famous parent about how they're coping. Or hopefully how they're they're tha be hearing from you the listener with your tips, advice and of course, tales of parenting woe. Because let's be honest, there are plenty of times when none of us know what we're doing.

Really good I like that one of my best one of the best for ages I don't know if I could say of all time they come so quick and fast it's hard to remember them all but. It's difficult it's difficult to nail down the Hall of Fame isn't it? But it's a good one. A lot of great energy because I feel like you've heard of radiators and drainers haven't you have life heard about this? I can tell what that means.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Yeah, there's sort of people that you leave after time with them, you feel rejuvenating and there's people, you know, bloody, that was hard work, do you know what I mean? Yeah, and I'd say that's, we've got a pair of radiators there. Yeah, big time. Absolutely, absolutely. to. A. A. A. A. A. It's two and a half year old Caleb finally getting to groups of the names. It took a lot for me not to scream with excitement after he'd done it as we've been practicing for a long time Stay sexy and relatable thanks to years of laughter and mediocre anecdotes That was with practice actually I've gone off it. She's 366 months. She's what? I thought Caleb was a boy. No Danielle. Daniel is the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. took. took. a boy. Not the whole book. Like, a prisoner. Like some yucousin mafia. I don't know what it is. I've promised to read it and I've been reading it for 15 years. East of Eden. Surely there's a film, isn't there? Yeah, Buck, even that's too long but it's so that Steinbeck it's a classic it's a classic Rob we both like descriptions of meadows fucking else Steinbeck or in the countryside I get it let's get moving boy that's not fucking about on the way the the the crops are moving in the wind Steinbeck I've got some really good news for you go on there's a section of the East of Eden novel Wikipedia page that's the the the the the that's the that's the that's the that's the the that's the the that's the the the the that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. that's the the the th. It's thi. It's thi. It's theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. the. thi. Cla classic. It's classic. It's classic.. Go on. There's a section of the East of Eden novel
Starting point is 00:03:05 Wikipedia page that's the whole plot. Right, do you want to quickly get with me through it now? No spoilers for anyone who's reading the East of Eden. I mean surely that we've gone past that now. It's not trade of series too. We're like, if you've not ready, no one's like I'm getting around to that. But if you're in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in in the middle the middle the middle the middle the middle the middle the middle the middle the middle the middle the the the the the the the the the to that. But if you're in the middle of East of Eden, I'll... Easter of Enders? A little Freudian slip there? I said, my printer's making noise. You can't hear it. I've just set up my printer. I'll talk about that in a minute.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Have you seen it? Have you seen it? It's what happens in East Leedham. The plot is still a thousand words, even on Wikipedia. Even the Ricopedia version of what's going on is too long. Read the first parrot, like the first three lines in the last few years. Samuel Hamilton is a warm-hearted inventor and farmer. He sounds like a nerd. He and his wife, Lisa, immigrants, their, toe, toe, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, is their, is their, and their, their, toe, and their, and their, and their, and toe, and tooom. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I's, I's, I's, I's, I's, I's. I'm. I'm. I'm the the rough, infertile piece of land in the Salinas Valley. As the Hamilton children begin to grow up and leave home, a wealthy stranger, Adam Trask purchased the best ranch in the valley.
Starting point is 00:04:12 God sounds quite good, actually. So Adam, who's the rich guy that's moved to the... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bought the big ranch. their character are called Aaron and Caleb, after the characters in the Bible. Right, of course. And that's really, oh, Adam's sons, Caleb and Aaron, yeah, echoing Kane and Abel, grow up oblivious to their mother's situation. A bit of an odd choice for Lou, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:04:41 A favorite book of all time. Also, this is what I I I I I I I I I I I I I'd their thi I'd thi thi thiatatting. thatting. thatting. thatting. thatting. thatting. thatheatheat is what I'd thatheat is that all that all thatheatheat. that. Yeah, yeah, that, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, th. th. th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. Yeah, yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, that. Yeah, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that. Yeah, that. Yeah, that. that. that. that. that. Yeah, that. Yeah, that. Yeah, that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, time. Also, this is what I'd have to do if I went on that Sarah Cox book show. They always ask me to go on that. They go, yeah, basically all they've got to read three books and bring it, you know, if your favorite book of all time. I can't go on there and blag that I've read these three books and I certainly can't whip out my copy of hard bastards by Kate Cray, the daughter of one of the cranes. I think it would be very on-back brand. You'd be sat there with fucking... Well, that's the problem, isn't it? Because that is actually, I love that.
Starting point is 00:05:12 I found it hilarious, that book. And if I, if I whip that out, no one's going to take me serious. But that is, you know, I had to sell my printer, Josh. Is there anything more annoying than typing in a 15-character password into the screen of a printer? Capitals, lowercase numbers, you know, when it's the long one, it's not your own one, right? And then it went, do you want to print a, a report? Yeah, ha. do you want to print a a report into the Wi-Fi logging in? I've always got no
Starting point is 00:05:48 but yeah I do actually so I've got the report here yeah do me to run run to run through the report of my what my printer doing on the internet so it says a check network connection check result pass oh good it's also though I just thought it's quite nice to have a bit of paper saying you've passed something yeah yeah yeah it's like put it on that put it on the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th the the th th th the the the th. I also though I just thought it's quite nice to have a bit of paper saying you've passed something yeah yeah it's like I'm not put it on the wall what have you done today oh bloody oh I had a bit of an hour passed passed my network connection on the old printer yeah past yeah past the past network is a security networked theyreterms check check pass, security key slash password check pass,
Starting point is 00:06:27 IP address pass, detailed IP set up, check pass. Well done. That's good, isn't it? I've got my network numbers? Oh yeah, do you want to know? the IP address? Probably should give out your sort? No. Is that bad? I don't know, isn't it? You're meant to give out your sort? I don't the the the the the the th the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I to th. I to to to to to to their their to to their to to their to to to to to to to to to to to to their to to to to me, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I've, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I. the the the the the the their. their. their. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, tap, their, tap, t. their, tape, their, their, don't understand this thing with banking where you give you give these you keep all the stuff to yourself. Yeah. And then you're like phone someone up and they'll ask for your bank card and you just read it out to them because you're buying a Chinese. I said, I went out to get a ta. I went out to the Chinese. I said, I said, I don't don't don't don't don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, you, you, you, you, you, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give you, give you, give you, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, you, give, you, you, give, you, you, you, you, you, you, give, you, you, you, you, you, give, you, you, give, you, give, give, you, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, you, give, you, give, the. the. they. they. they. You, keep. You, keep. You, keep, keep, keep, keep, keep, keep, keep, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, keep, give, keep, keep, give, keep, you, keep, keep, you, keep, you, keep, something, you have to ring up a travel agent. I'm like, well, they should be okay. But when you ordered a Chinese, I remember when I was ordered Chinese one, so I was like, can I make my card? And yeah, just read your card date.
Starting point is 00:07:08 I was like, really? Like, it's a big risk in it for a bit of salt and pepper rib. And the signal strength, excellent. So, the signal, I, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, I, to, to, to, to, I, to, I, the, the, the, I, the, I, I, I, the, the, I, I, I, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I, I, I. I suppose I should start by saying that I met Gabrielle. Yes, you were on the Grand Norton show, the absolute sceb. Did you see though the the TV guide report that someone took me and what the TV guide for you? No. It basically was like Ian McKellen and all what he's been in and what he's starring in Michael Sheen what he's been in. Starting point is 00:07:52 Josh Ridicum comedian also guess. Comedians are treating like absolute shit. I mean get the world smallest violin but in the of TV, the comedians is basically absolute pieces of shit. Just chuck them on at the end to try and keep it going if it gets quiet. Yeah, yeah. If you could chip in. We're like the fluffer. We're like, we're like the bloke in a polno that stands there and have to go in and start wanking a bloc off if if he he he he he he if if he he he he he if if he he he he he he he he if if if he he he he he he he's 84. It really made me laugh when you text
Starting point is 00:08:27 me saying I must be the first person in history to go on Graham Norton and talk to someone about an anecdote of them in Screwfix that doesn't involve you. It's just my mate I speak to once a week was in Scrooofix not with you. No. Have you got any good anecdotes Josh? Well actually I haven't but my mate hasn't even I'm willing to repeat it. You'll think you're a master in getting something out of nothing that was unbelievable. She's she's up for coming on the show. She doesn't give out her address to screwfix that's why she remains anonymous that's what she was saying but they told me anyway but so did you chat to her after the record. the record. the record. the record. the record. the record. the record. the record. the record. to. to. the to. the to. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She's. She. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. She's. was saying, but they told me anyway. But so did you chat to her after the record?
Starting point is 00:09:06 Yeah, she was, I said, so she's heard it through her son listening to, I think her son played it to her. Yep. And she was very up for coming on a podcast, podcast. She, uh, she's lovely. How do you not know what a podcast is? A podcast. So I was a singer-go, got the new Albinina coming out. I'm sorry, album. Sheenies up for coming back on as well. It's good, it's good when you get these people, you're like, I've can corner them here. Also, I know they're on promo.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Yes. So you know they've got something to flog. They've got something to flog. Do you know, I get it. We do loads of promo and we've got something to float. We've got Smart TV that's going to be on tele soon. End of February, is it 28th of February? I made that up. Yeah. 27 something like that. Rob and Romesh Formula One episode. That's on soon. My tour is going to to promote. Now, Rob. Yes, I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I should I should I th. th. th. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. tho. tho. thoes. thoes. thoom. thoom. thoes thoes thoes. tho. th. th. th. th. th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's thoooo. It's the. It's the. the. thoo. It's the. It's th. It's th. you on the show. Yeah, because you're on the show. Have you got anything to promote? Oh, thanks Josh for having me on your podcast to promote this. My tour is now on sale, Josh. What's it called? It's called giraffe. It's called giraffe because you love the world-themed cafe? No, just I love giraffes and the poster is quite funny. Yeah it is a fucking great poster. You've seen it haven't you? I've got a long neck and hooves. Yeah. So the tour it's gonna be a worldwide tour Josh the tickets are available now. What I'd say is so access tickets Rov?
Starting point is 00:10:39 Well there's like a pre-sale and stuff so what I would suggest is go to Rob Beckett Comedy co-comcom. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. th is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to to to go to go to go to go go go go go go go go. to to to go. t. I's t. I's t. I's toy. I's is. I's is go go go go go go. I's is go go. I's is go. I's is go go. I's is go. I's is go. to go. to go. to go.. I's is. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I's. I'm. If. It's. I'm. If. I'm. If. I'm. I'm. If. I'm. I'm. If. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm so. I'm. I'm. I'm. So. I would suggest is go to Rob Beckettcom Comme, all the gigs are listed on there and I would recommend signing up to the mailing list because we will mail out a pre-sale link. So if you definitely want to get tickets sign up to the main list you'll get an email with a link to the pre-sale so that you can get listeners, this is genuinely the first announcement of it, isn't it? Yes, so this is the first announcement. Before the press release, before we've this is now the place. Thought so he starts fucking sniffing around it? Jonathan Ross pops his fucking nose in. This is down to the hard cause, the O'G. So I'm all over the place. I've got the list of, this is quite bad though. I. I. I don't. I. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I. I. I. the. the. I. I. the. I. I. the. their. I. their. I. I'm. Oh. th. th. I's is. It's is. It's is. It's is. It's is. It's is. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's the the. So. So. So. So. So, the. So. So, the. So. So, the. So. So. So, the. So. So. So over the place I've got the list of I don't know what one there's some I can't announce I can't announce them so if
Starting point is 00:11:30 okay basically if on the list Scott if Scott if there's the full Scotland dates aren't on there and basically Scotland Manchester and London if they're not on the list don't the list don't panic they're gonna be added, but it just, we couldn't get it signed off in time for this week's announcement, but there will be Manchester, London and Scotland dates. I'm all over the place, do you wanna see, I read out, do you wanna read out? Do you wanna? Steve Wright, ROP, wonderful man, Steve Wright?
Starting point is 00:11:55 Do I do the Steveindon, Watton, Watton, Cough and Wattford, Crawley, Torky, York, Tork, Tork, Tork,, Liverpool, South End, Oxford, Woking, Belfast, Derry, Dublin, Paul Swansea, Doventry, Halifax, Newcastle, Hole, Lester, Bristol, Scotland and Manchester will be added to Eastbourne, Brighton, London. That made me excited. That made me excited to hear about all these. I can't wait to see it. Australia to be announced. Australia to be announced. So if you're in Australia, do not buy tickets to the UK thinking that you can't come to Australia. Don't fly over especially. Do not do that. But if you're in Plymouth, potentially look at talking. Talkie. Anyway, that's my blank. So Rob Beckie Comedy.com. I'm very. Rob Beckettcom. I'm very excited. I love it.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Oh, congratulations. And it's an honor to be the go-to place to comedians to announce their tours if any others want to do it. And then you know, we're here. As much as I love podcasting, I love doing tele, stand-ups. When you've got a proper tour that's absolutely smacking it. There's no better feeling so I cannot wait. So I'm buzzing to come up, please buy a ticket. When does it start? You haven't really said the dates Rob. It starts in November 2024. This November it starts and then that spreads out through the whole of 2025 and into 2026. I'll be doing it for a long time and yeah. More dates will be added. Yeah and there's no, you know, it's just just the the the the the the the the they. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's just. It's the the the the the th. It's th. It's th. It's th. th. th. th. that's t. today. today. today. tha. tha. toy. tha. tha. tha. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's t. It's tot tot. It's tote. It's tote. It's tote. It's tot tot tote. It starts tot tota. It starts. It starts. It starts. It's tot tota. Yeah and there's no you know it's just funny no politics none of that shit. Because if you were worried that... I won't book it he's probably going to be too political for me have you seen the hooves in the poster? Rob and one last question yeah do you talk about your children? I do talk about
Starting point is 00:13:59 them but you know what not as much because I feel like I'm talking about the the too the too not the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their to to their to to to to their to to to to their to to to to to to to be to be to be to be to to to told. told is to be to be to be told. told is probably told is probably to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to told. told. told. told. I I I told. I told. I told. I told. I they. I'm. I'm. I'm they. I'm they. I'm they. I'm the the the the the tell. the the tell. to to to to to to to about so much on here, but yeah, I do talking about a bit, but not like not as much. It's not like a, if you're worried it's just all going to be about kids, it's not, there's all other stuff. So it's a break from chatting about kids, but there'll be a few stories in there, don't you worry. Brilliant. Go to Rob Beckettcombe, to to kids. Can I tell you about my daughter's teeth? Yes, please. That's what we're here for. She lost two last week. Oh no. Was it just they fell out or
Starting point is 00:14:31 she had a row? She's in the house. So obviously. Okay. Oh yeah, it's half term isn't it? Yeah. Warning, trigger warning. Yeah. Tooth fairy, etc. So my daughter had two teeth fall out I to tell you this last week she had one fallout at when we went to you had a busy all week was you had you had like worms nits and teeth falling out it's like Angela's ashes I think I've got worms again Rob I had a bit itchy bum this morning but I can't get an itchy bum at night and I was like are they coming out yeah but then you see in your the the the the the the the the the the the the th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th you th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the the the to the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I the. I the. I the. I the. I the. I te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm te. I'm't get one. I can't get an itchy bum at night and I was like are they coming out? Yeah but then you see your head an itchy bum can just manifest mentally. I feel like I've got it off you but I've only seen you on zoom. You can't get worms through zoom can you. Crawl down the Ethernet cable. Just manifesting because people think they can manifest success.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Can you manifest? Can you manifest? Because Because it must work in the negative as well as the polypensitive. You know when people manifest they think... There's rooms the water, huh? When people go, when I become a multi-millionaire, when I'm a C. Oh my God. I'll go, when I've got worms? Is that the floor of attraction? I would try it for a week and see what happens. Okay, try manifest worms. That is a trick though. If you're going on, if you're going on like a chat show like that, they always chat about what you've been up to, any funny stories and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:15:52 I had some really funny photos of me as a teenager. And it was sort of because ittheirs will probably be cute or they're still really handsome. So getting them and they did that and then that was a easy little bit of work for me so you can sort of manipulate it in the chat. Yeah, this is my view on promo. Justthen be funny for the rest of it. Yeah. And if they like you, they like you. There's no difference between minute two and minute eight of your promo. Do you not? Because I also think as well like you is, you can't really win someone over on a chat show. No, you can't do a big sell. You're not on the fucking apprentice. They want to come and see you on tour. Sometimes they don't want to come to the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they they they they they they they they they're they they they their they're like they'll like they'll like they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they their. to to to to to to to to their. their their their. their their their. their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. the come and see you on tour or they don't want to come and see you on tour. But sometimes they don't want to come and see you in tour, but they're still there because someone have a spare ticket or they're partner bought. That's the worst one.
Starting point is 00:16:51 You're looking at a ruby. If I go, I don't want to win them over. I'll just get through the night. But that's what I think is hard in Liverpool and Glasgow. Because they're brilliant, they're really funny cities and they're brilliant. I love it as well because they're all funny standards. But they've all they've all they've all they've all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all they're all funny. I've all they're all they're all funny. I've all they're all they're all funny. I'm they're all funny. I've all funny. I'm their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll tho. I'll thooooo tho tho tho tho tho tho tho thoo tho tho tho tho the a cockney up there deep down the last thing someone from Glasgow or Liverpool wants is their favorite comic to be London. Oh yeah if you strip it back and be honest they don't want that. They want to have a scozen John Bishop thank you very much. I mean what about Liverpool Kevin Bridges. Well anyway let's go back to the two fairy. So she she lost a tooth in Cabo when we th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the th and th and th and their th and we th and we their th and we th and we went th and we went th. th. I'll theeeeeeeeeeateeeeeeeeeeeeeat. I's theee. I's the. I's th. I's let's go back to two fairy. Oh yeah, let's get back to two fairy. So she lost a tooth in Cabo when we went there last week. Yes, okay.
Starting point is 00:17:48 And we put it in a car. They put next to the power plant. Okay. Interesting. Two at once. Okay. The old dungeon nest. And she, um, she, uh, oh by the way, there's been a development on my, uh, do you remember my grand. that th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. that. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Let's to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. the way there's been a development on my, do you remember my granddad that died of cancer you thought was funny? Well I didn't think that was funny. Well, let's play the tape up now. But I did laugh and you mentioned it, but the way you mentioned it, I think for new listeners, I think that's unfair. What did you say? Because he got, he went to one of the first nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear the first the first the first the first the first the first the first first the first first the first nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear the first the first nuclear the first nuclear the first nuclear the first the first the first nuclear the first nuclear the first nuclear the first the first their. their. their. their. to their. to their. their. to the first. the first. the first. the first. the first, he the first, he to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the first. the first. the first. the first. the first. the first the first nuclear the first nuclear the first nuclear te. te. te. te. te. te. te. te. the the the te. the the the the te. the of the first nuclear tests because he's in the Navy. Yes, yes. Anyway, I just I saw my mom this weekend and he's in
Starting point is 00:18:30 we can get a medal for a posthumous medal for his work going to that test. All right. Doesn't really pay us back but there we go. No, what kind of what is it sort of? Sort of like, glowing in the dark? Sorry. It's a real shame that, Rob. It's a real shame. Sorry, I'm really sorry. Yeah. I'm a bad person. No, that's fine. So you got what, then, went off for bravery, that's nice. So you can get that. Oh, I don't even know, it's for bravery, that's nice so you can get that and I don't even know it's for bravery just for doing it. Oh just for being there. You have to sign a disclaimer saying that you won't see the they don't. This is and this is the end of it all right? Yeah. Okay you can't mention this on
Starting point is 00:19:15 podcast anymore. So pop that on your shirt and get out of my office. So we I put the tooth in a in a mug yeah because it fell out then we were leaving and Rose was like where's the tooth I was like oh fuck I thought I thought I remember washing up and thinking what's that thing in the bottom of that cup and then washing it out. Oh Josh so what have you done? then I went and told my daughter then Rose went, looked in the sink, somehow it was still in the sink. Right, okay. One of the greatest moments of my life. One of your worst performances is a dishwasher though. Yeah, ha ha ha ha ha! Anyway, we go home, another tooth falls out.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Due to, she was on our floor for some reason this week. Can't remember why. Oh, she was ill. She was ill. My kids have been ill for them. I'm not, I'm better than I was a mess. I'm just constantly ill. There's something wrong.
Starting point is 00:20:21 I am always ill at the moment. And I'm like, the to be a all the time. I am always ill at the moment and I'm like what am I doing wrong? And then I feel a bit better I wake up and they're like oh right I cannot breathe out my less nostril at all for today. I had a coughing fit at the Focus Group Awards 20th anniversary on Friday night. What was on stage? Well because there was a bit of hubbub you're having to... I get I've had a sore throat every evening for about five evenings. Yeah. And you're like there's just something you know it's just a bug or whatever. A hundred day cough you had that in your house yet? No what's that? Well would you think?
Starting point is 00:20:55 Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha? Come on mate. We're just cough that never goes essentially. So anyway, two teeth would put them under her pillow. She puts them under her pillow on Saturday night. Go up there, I've got my two pound coins. I actually went to bed, Rob, turned off the light, I was dropping off. I haven't realized I'd forgotten that was a fucking close one. All right, so you managed to get a quid for a tooth. We're doing a quid for a tooth. Put them under, get the teeth, fine. They're in the bottom of a sock drawer, don't really know what to do with them.
Starting point is 00:21:29 Bin. Bin? Bin? Have you not heard of the word memories? Not teeth memories? So you're keeping the teeth? Okay. Anyway, she wakes up. She's like, oh, there's only one quid under there. I know I've left two, Rob. I can't say, no, she didn't lie. It's got, it's fallen off the bed or something. Oh, she's took it, I went, oh, she only put one. Trying to see if she's get any more out of you. Oh, do you think that's what I'm just saying? I'm not, I'm just just just just just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm not, I'm not, I don't, I'm not, I'm not, I'm, I'm, I don't, I, I don't, I don't, I, I don't, I don't, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm not, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm not, I'm just, I'm not, I'm just, I'm not, I'm just, I'm not, I'm not, I'm just saying, Rob. Well, they get to, she's six or seven, they get sassy, mate. Do you think?
Starting point is 00:22:05 Yeah, they, this is what's, this is what I'm struggling with at the moment. Yeah. Physically, I'm sort of getting enough sleep to a point, never enough with a kid. You're up at six every day, but I'm not doing night feats. exhausted as we were through that stage. That's gone, thankfully. The odd night, I'd sleep in a bunk bed the other night as well because I was out of the boxing, you climbed in there.
Starting point is 00:22:29 And now my problem is I'm mentally weak. Well, you've always had that issue. Like Balletelli, can't get me head together for the big game. They will run rings around you and sort of lie and be a bit cheeky and they push the boundaries. That's what's difficult at the moment is them argue with each other and then take the piss out of us mentally by going no that's not. Or they'll go, mom said I could. And that's a lie.
Starting point is 00:22:54 So you may be getting to the stage now where she's lying to you to get another qu wanted to, it's impossible to go, you're incorrect because I put two quid under the pillow. You can't go. Or do you put another quid under the pillow of a note saying, sorry, I forgot. Oh, you just go, you only ever get a pound every time. It's fucking there, mate. She's too, here we go, she's too small to carry it one night then the next night, so two nights in a row, maybe do that. It's too late now.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Too late. Game over. Yeah, but we got stitched up in America where like we only had like five dollars and then I forgot three nights in a row so I had to put down and then we remembered and we were just going to bed all out was $29 and she got $20 a one too. That's that's the most that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the most that's that's the most that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a that's a that's. that's. to to to to to that's. that's. that's. I's. I's. I's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. th. I I I I I I I I I I I's. I's a th. I's a th. I's a th. I's a th. I's a the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. the the the th. the th. th. th. th. to. th. to. We're th. We're th. We're to. We're to. to bed all out was $29 and she got $20 for one too. That's the most I've paid, which was mental. But I couldn't have forgotten three nights in a row and there was no other money and I won't go and I won't go break it at a 7-Eleven. Also that's why I always go, oh well I'll look after it for you, then I'd just spend it. Yeah of course. So it's not actually, it's staying in the family. That's that's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not the the the the the the the the the th. It's not the the th. It's not the three the the th. And the the the the the the th. And the the th. That's the other thing. Let's be honest, a quid to my daughter is quite difficult to spend actually. Yeah, so that's the things that because you want to get understand money and pocket money and getting money and earning money and spending money but I don't,
Starting point is 00:24:14 it's still a bit too young to really comprehend how much stuff is. Yeah, of course. And also everything's so expensive now. If that I want to go and buy, okay, well, you have to do quite a lot of work because that's 20 pounds what you want. Yeah, well, do you know what? So we were watching the Mars singer on Saturday. Oh yeah. Still up in the air who Bigfoot is. Still up in the air. He's still up in the air, who's still think they'd be accepting bets on this. Can you imagine the odds? Do you know what if it was 20,000 to 1,000 I'd still put every penny I had on it? Or if it was the other whatever it is I don't understand. Yeah, on. I'm terrible with being I saw gonna when it's like five
Starting point is 00:25:05 to one I get you get five times the amount if you get that right you get your state back but then yeah yeah and yeah so I saw but when it got a three to four I'm not gonna make me off a job okay now what's that 11 to 10 what's going just can't it can't it just be 10 to 10 then I understand it kind of anyways so so that that that that that that that that that that that that that the that that that th th the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th to th to th to to to to th th th tho to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to tho tho that to 10 then I understand it? Can't it be half over one or something? Yeah. Anyway so what you're doing about the two? I know we watched the last singer. Oh yeah sorry. And this is on money. And she was like I was in a good mood and I was like yeah why not. There was a text competition Rob. Okay. So she she was like can we enter I was like oh go on then. Don't don't enter those.. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. th. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. th. th. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. Yeah. the. the. the. Yeah, the. Yeah, the the the the th. Yeah, the th. Yeah, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the competition Rob. Okay. So she was like can we enter? I was like oh go on then. Don't don't enter those. If we win Rob. Yeah. Because she thinks she's entered. She's going
Starting point is 00:25:52 to get 85 grand in an electric mini. What's it so she so she that's what she spent her pound on. No she just she was like we were watching the Mars singer. Yeah. I did a great evening because it was gladiators into the Mars Singer and I love both those shows. Brilliant. And so I was just like, yeah, why not? What am I gonna do if she wins 85 grand? Well, you put that into like an Isopher or something, would you? Yeah. I'm straight, you're straight to Martin Lewis. Straight on to Martin. Like a fucking shit off a shovel. Big dog.
Starting point is 00:26:27 ML. What am I doing with this? Pension for the kid? Thought so. But then it's unfair when her brother that she suddenly got 85 grand because he was too young. Well, that's his problem, mate. Life ain't fair. That's the problem of kids. They're both going to go in their own ways,
Starting point is 00:26:46 they're going to be more successful, less successful, one another, all depend on different things, monetary, life, happiness. And the bleak saying, which haunts everyone, you're only as happy as your unhappie as child. Yeah, correct. So it's a high stakes game. It is right. And if she wins Well maybe she could give to the the to go their to go their to go to go to go their to go their to go their their their their to go to go their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. S. Yes. S. S. S. S. Yes. S. S. S. S. Yes. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. wins that, well, maybe she could give him the electric mini. But then she shouldn't have to. It's her quid. She has no responsibility to her brother. Um, Rob, I hear that you've got a rivalry with Stephen Bartlett now. Oh no, I just, well, I did a, basically, I've been getting back into TikTok and Instagram because I've got a tour coming out.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Look, Rob, I respect you. I thought you were going to pretend you're getting back into TikTok and Instagram for other reasons. We're all on it because we've got to fucking tour to sell it. Yeah, exactly. I was only messing about. So I've been loo and I've been doing loads of more and stuff. Yeah, I've been loo be visible and all that. Anyway I did a video which is quite funny because I'm Stephen Bartlett does him
Starting point is 00:27:48 Huell adverts all the time and I know we have done a Kul but like it's constant on YouTube. I enjoy a Hul. I enjoy a Hul. I'm not old likes he all? It's just a bit of a fun throw. And like people, he's got like millions of views on TikTok and everyone's giving him a load of shit which I don't agree with but I'm not in charge of the comments Josh. No, you're not in charge of him. I like Steve. I find his podcast a full on for me. Like I find it quite intense where I'm a bit more of a keep it like kind of guy. He's not as much of a laugh as us is he? But he certainly got more money.
Starting point is 00:28:30 He lives data and marketing and investments and stuff like that. Well I don't really, you know, I don't really give off the air of a businessman. So my office, for example, I've got it knowing it needed to be like painted and refurbished a little bit and I've not done it. It is disgusting. No shit Rob, I can see your picture. If that was the boardroom in the apprentice, Alan Sugar would be, he'd be laughed out by the fucking contestants. Look behind you. You haven't even managed to foam up the whole wall. Yeah, and I've put some things in there their their. I their. I their. I their. I've. I've. I know, I can't be bothered. But it's basically, you know when like in a romcom someone's gets dumped and then their mate goes around their house,
Starting point is 00:29:12 it's just full of like pizza boxes and despair, that's what it's like. And I was just thinking of that if Lou left with me and lue broke up and I up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up and I the to to to their. I'll want to speak though, will I? No, exactly.
Starting point is 00:29:37 No, exactly. their funnier, they're less funny. Well, exactly. That's what I think. Keep it real, mate. Keep it fucking real. Keep it back, keep it to the streets. Um, enough, enough Bartlett. How are you kids? How are the kids? All right, so the kids are fine, all good.
Starting point is 00:29:54 It's half-term, so they're bickering. We've worked out. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's quite good. It's good. It's good. Go man to man. Yeah, man to man Mark. So I also, I've started doing this now as well. I rather I'm going, oh, what should we do with the kids? Go, well, what do I need to do? I need to go and get my hair cut and I need to go to the bank. So you're just coming with me. Old school parenting. The other one's going with your mom, that's what we're doing. Blue had to go and do a blood test. You go into the, oh, it's boring the hospital. Well, tough shit, at least they're not pulling blood from your arm.
Starting point is 00:30:30 All you've got to do is watch it. Yeah, I'll be honest with you, mate. In the years to come in your life, you'll be delighted. That's good. Did your daughter enjoy the bank? That's the kind of thing I'd have enjoyed as a kid. Yeah, and then at the hairdress, yeah, it's like grown up and you get them to do stuff, like, you know, put that balaclavr on, get the gun out and then we're done. They took that. They. Just remember that. The gun only comes into play if they want it to. It's not my problem he's shot himself.
Starting point is 00:31:13 That's it's, they can clear that up when we've gone. Yes, he will have to have therapy for 40 years after this, but that's his problem. Don't work in a bank. That's, but that's, but that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. thi thi's thi's thi's their their their their their their their their their their their their thoomoomoomoom. to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their thoomere. thoombueue. thoomorrow. thoomorrow. thoomorrow. thoooooooooooomorrow. thooooooooooooooooooooooooom. the. th't play a fire if you don't want to get burnt. Now put that in the old old and let's get back of the motor. But yes we've been doing that rather than because I think we put we put too much pressure on ourselves to be like we must have a week of entertaining you know because we still got our own lives to get on with and stuff to do. Yeah. Luz Luzuz took took took took took took took took took took took took took took took to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their we we we their we their we's their we's their we's their we's their their their their their their to to to too. too. to tm. tm. to tm. to to to to to to to to to to their their their their their their their their took him trampilining today though. Oh yeah. And then we need to go IKEA, so we're going to take him IKEA one day on Friday. Let's give a fun trip. So I'll tell you about on half-term. Yeah, go on. Uh, little catchphrase.
Starting point is 00:31:56 I'll go on. Roses away. Oh, she, yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Actually, I think you should now start going, Rosie's here? Because that's the new bit of information. We just assume she's not there. So Rose's away Monday, Tuesday. Right, okay.
Starting point is 00:32:15 It's a good time here, isn't it? And couldn't wait till next week? No. And my daughter's going to her, Rose's mum's. Oh, okay. So it's just me and the little guy. So how long for a couple of nights? Uh, for, well, I obviously fucked up, forgot I had a gig tomorrow night.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Okay, where are you gigging? Uh, Stonely and New Malden. Fair enough. Yep. I'll be honest with you Rob I completely forgot Rose was going and my day tomorrow. So you've got no child care for you know one? I have but I have but in the day tomorrow. Right so you were gonna get you do some write some jokes get ready for the gig. Well I had gym at 745 a.m. Yeah not cancel that. Then I've got this at 1230. That's fine. Osteopath 5 p.m. Yeah, of course. Gets in the evening had to cancel that. But luckily. Starting point is 00:33:31 Yeah, that's earlier. Yes, of course. What times do you go to bed? Eight? Eight. I feel quite late. I know, tell me about it. It's quite late for a two-year-old. Yeah, yeah, it is. Yes. Yes. Yes. If you've got him up and out for school, it's like... I know. You'd rather six or seven till six or seven, wouldn't you? I don't know. We haven't got that option that that that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option that option to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to that option to that option to to to to to be to be that option to be to be to be that option that option to be that option. still have his naps? No, he does at nursery and then our life is a living hell.
Starting point is 00:34:05 Oh because you won't go to bed when he gets home from nursery. Yeah. It's quite difficult to say to nursery you know when everyone else goes to sleep can you keep him up like he's a prisoner under interrogation. Yeah yeah that is a bit if it's all cozy it all dark and they've got a little nap in that. Lovely little nap. All your friends are going to sleep. We're going to take you outside. So what are you doing from 8 o'clock then? What's your evening? I'm going to watch. Get back the 7 and a half hour documentary about the Beatles making. Oh, God. That's too long. that's too long. the Beatles. the Beatles. the Beatles. the Beatles. the Beatles. the Beatles. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. th. th. th. th. tho. tho. that. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. that good the Beatles can they? I know I do like them this I'm not having to go I like the Beatles but seven and a half hours of it. I love it Rob because they're just what I love about them yeah is they're so unprofessional they're just not doing their work and they
Starting point is 00:35:00 sit around they're drinking constant tea, I love that bit of it. Yeah, there's Paul McCartney having a cup of tea. And the height of his fame! I tell you, if you love people being unprofessional and drinking tea all day, go and work at the council. There he fucking goes. Five days in a row. There is LBT. I worked at the council, probably council, you just have a pub in the tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea a tea a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a cup a tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea, a tea, a tea, having a tea, having a tea, having a tea, having a tea, having a tea, having a tea te. te. A the the., fuck me, feet up central. They used to have a, probably council, you just have a pub in the building. I did a road safety call, so we were building up to this course where I worked as an attempt at the office person. I mean it's a road safety like seminar like thing at local school to be like you mustn't cross road, you know, like telling the kids to be careful on the roads right. So it it it it it it it it was it was we we we we we we we we we we we we we first. We we first. We first. We first. We first. We first. We first. We first. We first. We first. We first. We first. We've to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to have to to have the to be to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was. I was the the the the the the the to the the to the th. I was the the the the to the the to the the the the to to the to the to to the to to to the to to to to to to to to to the to to the road, you know, like telling the kids to be careful on the roads, right? So it was quite a build-up to- the-first learn your love of being on stage. Oh yeah,
Starting point is 00:35:47 no, but I know I was just doing all the, but I weren't on stage, we'd book speakers and the police and all, we'd just run, their thanks, we'dto sort of celebrate, you know, doing the thing? I went all right, she went to the pub, had bought a sandwich or whatever, then she would draw a beer, I'd have four pints of Stella. I had four points of stelea in an hour and a half, went back to work, I was flying. I used to, I used to, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I'd... I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd to, I'd to, I'd to, I'd. I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd, I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. I'd. to, to, to, to, to to to to to to to to to to to to told, to told, to told, to to to to to to to to, to, to, to, to, to, I couldn't deal with drinking at lunch. No, I couldn't deal with it, I was off my head. But the work, there's nothing worse than sitting at Dora the Explorer magazine
Starting point is 00:36:31 getting a hangover at 4 p.m. I used to get battered. I used to go, I used to go to the pub and have like four pints at lunch when I worked up in Kent. But I'd do that Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then go out after work as well. I think I had a problem, Josh. At the time it felt like I was a laugh. I'm just a laugh. Right, a couple of other things I'll chat to you, Josh. I've got a couple of problems. One is, well, a cute thing my daughter said, she tried to do a karate kick to me and nearly kicked me in the nuts and she went, oh I nearly kicked your front privacy. That's some sort of Victorian.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Right, so my problem is... People do wonder whether your children are posh or then you're posh or they're gonna say, your front privacy is really a... Too posh if anything. My local fish and chip shop is outrageously good Josh and it's a problem. Really? So I have to drive past it. Yeah. And the last three weeks, when it's been cold and rainy, I've gone and got battered sausage and chips and eating in the car.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Oh my God. And I don't. Are you sure knew? It's so nice, so Josh. What time a day is the secret in the car? No, not really. It'd be like four or five-ish where it's like I haven't probably had lunch. This isn't part of your dinner? Well it depends so mate normally I like don't eat in the morning and sort of fast and then break my fast about 11 or 12-ish but and then I'll be driving only be cold and wet and I'm fed up and I think I'll just get a lovely hot by that stuff and I have it open and I could put loads of vinegar on it. And I just I the the the the th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'll th. I'm th. I'm th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. Don't theeeeeeeeean. to to toooen. to toteeeeeean. to tote. thee. thean. th I put loads of salt vinegar on it. Oh yeah, yeah. And I just sit in a cover podcast, like,
Starting point is 00:38:06 smash it back, and then I go up and I might have something a bit light later on, but it's sort of my dinner. Are you telling Lou what you've done? I'm not lying about it, but I'm not offering up the earphos. yes I had some salt vinegar earlier and then leave it at that and she'll go crisp I go crisp no and then I leave it at that yeah chips and battered sausage pardon well I ordered battered sausage and chips that that changes it but yeah so that's a problem I've got the moment where are you sitting in in terms of
Starting point is 00:38:43 the chippy yeah yeah well literally this is quite difficult. The parking is basically, you can park right out the front of it, but there's only like two spaces, but you're pulling on to what is almost like a drive outside of house, like in front of the shops, you're allowed to, to park on that. So I want to get it from the the to. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. to. to park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. to park. Park. Park. Park. to park. Park. to park. Park. to park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. I parking. I parking. I parking. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. Park. I. Park. I. I. I. I. I. I. Park. I. I. Park. I. I. Park. I. I. I. I. I. Park. I. I. I. I. I'm. I. I'm. I'm. I'm the. the. I'm the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. Park. to eat in the car facing the chip shop. Yeah. So I then get it, reverse out and then try and park on the road somewhere. But the only place I could find the other day was in front of someone's house over their drives and then I'm panicking it that they're going to come out and go, what are you doing? I'm like, trying to eat stood in a witness stand. Yes, what are you doing there? I'm like, just something to go. Just listening to diary of a CEO and eating bad sausage and chips. Being told that I should have a little Zoe patch on and drink you all, but I'm eating bad sausages. It's a bad like a sausage is bad batter and it's mental.
Starting point is 00:39:39 What am I doing to my body? And how do you feel in the hour afterwards? At the time I feel like like like like like like like like this is is is is is this is this is this is this is this is this is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going. I'm. I'm going. I'm. I'm going. I'm thi. I'm the afterwards? At the time I feel like I'm on another, I feel like I'm on another planet. I feel like this is this is it, this is living and after when there's still that that film on your fingers because the chip fault broke. Just does the car smell? Yeah. Really bad. I don't know if anyone else's secret eats in the car. If they do, let us know what you do. It'd be good to know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Right, I tell you what, there's a couple other things I would run past Josh, but should I do it on Friday? Right, Josh, let's do a quick small business. Okay, I've got one. I've actually been sent one by someone I know Rob. This is from Molly. My little brother Ben, 292 months old, is dad to Leo 30 months and Toby 9 months. He's a huge friend of the podcast. I'd love to give a small business shout out to his one man gardening business, Ben's gardening services. He is here for all your gardening needs in and and around Bambri in the Oxfordshire area. Lawn murring, pressure washing, planting,
Starting point is 00:40:42 weeding. Or if you just need your bush trimming, he's your man. A bit of fun there, isn't it? There you can follow him on Instagrammer at Ben's Gardening Services. Thank you. I love that. No, no, actually he will, he will a hair clip of your pubic hair. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Yeah, he will. He will take a razor to your genitals as well, toe, toe, toe, toe, toe, toe, toe, toe, that. Yeah. It will take a razor to your genitals as well if needed. That wasn't. Good a small business. Oh I've got this one, Kimberly Nixon who was a guest on the show. Oh yeah, yeah. She said, well she said, can you give these guys a show? It's pandas. Starting point is 00:41:36 So Kimberly obviously spoke about having a lot of mental health challenges after giving birth birth and I think pandas underscore UK or on Instagram can help you out the free service for people struggling with having kids so that's a great little shout out for pandas underscore UK. We'll go back to yours so do keep sending them in thee the thea the to see on Friday big one. I'm back with a brand new season of the behind-the-scenes TV and music podcast, Soap From the Box. And it cheers us up and it gets us through the day and it sets the toe. I speak to some very famous stars. Don't blame me for the way you turned out just because you watched it every night. Mother was always saying, why don't you get a proper job?
Starting point is 00:42:22 Nothing's left unanswered. And I haven't been sued. thured thured good. Season 6 soap from the box out now. Hello I'm Charles Brandreth. What's the very first thing you remember? That's the question I'll be asking my famous and fascinating guests in Rosebud. My new podcast about first memories and first experiences. My first memory is handing my Auntie Muriel a piece of turd. Other guests include Dame Judy Dench, Allison Hammond and Rory Stewart. Download and listen wherever you get your podcasts. Do you ever feel like topical comedy only ever tends to come from one angle?
Starting point is 00:43:04 Well, I'm Jeff Norcott host of What Most People Think, and my show jokes about all sides, jokes about Tories, jokes about Labor, jokes about everyone. If there's any Lib Dems listening, there isn't. We're returning guests from across the political spectrum, including Romish Ranganathens, Simon, Kevin Kessing, David Bedill, Andrew Doyle, Al Murray and more. Sometimes we'll make good points, sometimes we'll make cheap jokes. But whatever we do will be trying our best to get to the heart of what most people think.
