So, to make ourselves and hopefully you feel better about the trials and tribulations of modern-day parenting, each week we're chatting to a famous parent about how they're coping. Or hopefully how they're they're tha be hearing from you the listener with your tips, advice and of course, tales of parenting woe. Because let's be honest, there are plenty of times when none of us know what we're doing.

Can you say Rob Beckettett.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Rob Beckett. And can you say Josh Widdickham? Well, just where did it? Good girl. I did even listen to that. It's all right. I just owned out. That's okay, Rob. You've got to really bring it for the next 50 and a half minutes. So take the half minute while you can. Let's start to get, oh, that was sweet, wasn't it?
Starting point is 00:01:21 One of my favorites. Can th you play tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho th Do you know what? It's a good name. Can we play it again? I feel bad. No, this is unfair. Everyone else has listened to it. Just because you haven't, Rob. I don't think that the nation should have to listen to it twice. I feel like it's unfair on the people that have sent it in. That I didn't listen. Okay. Can I hear it again to to th to to th to th the to the to the to the the th. th. th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the, the, the, the the the, the, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the, the. theat. theateateateat. theat. theateat. nea. nea. theateat. theat. theat theat. theat. theat theat. theat. Can you say Rob Beckett? Rob Beckett. And can you say Josh Widdickham?
Starting point is 00:01:48 Well, just ridicum. Good girl. Oh, I like that. That was good. Sonny? No, it's so, it's Vonnie. Vnie. N-N-I-E named after her amazing man, Avon.
Starting point is 00:02:00 So it's short for a von. But the child's called a von. It's quite, I don't know, well Vonne, they've obviously come, we can't call it. Oh, yeah. We can't call a child a von in 2022. I mean, obviously we love the sentiment. Everyone, people love other family members and it's nice to sort of respect them with naming your children that, but it is a tough cell calling a child Yvonne, even just from spelling it, I'm 38 and can't spell Yvonne. They've also got a five-year-old Hector. Strangely, they were both born on the same day, the 9th of April, which is the day after
Starting point is 00:02:32 my birthday. Your birthday or the mum? Mine. Right. What's your mum is called? Megan. See, now, Voni. Megan. Megan. See now Voni, I quite like V O-N-I-E, is it? But like have they gone Vony surname or is it Yvonne but everyone calls a Vonnie? We don't know what
Starting point is 00:02:51 the surname is. Hector? Now that is hard isn't it? That's a hard name to pull off Hector. There's a lot of them in the East London area at the moment. Really? Hector's. there was one in the thonenenenenene thany's thany's th. th. thin's thirty thin, thin, thin, thin, thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, they thi, thi, they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're, they're they're, they's they's they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they they they they they they thi, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin, thin. the tho' thoananan, tho-a' thonononononononon, thononon, okay. There was one at my daughter's nursery. When she was at nursery, I don't think I'm speaking out of school to three years later say, they did not get on. Oh, your daughter didn't get on with Hector. That's fine, some kids don't get on. Some kids don't get on. Exactly. Not saying all Hector Bellarine of course. Oh, wonderful guy. No, it wasn't planned. Hector was five weeks early and Vonnie was on her due to her date. The best birthday present for Hector, as it was his second birthday where we woke him up at
Starting point is 00:03:33 3 a.m. due to contractions, dropped him up with her parents and we were back at lunch from the hospital. Fonney. It's probably cute now. Yeah, well, the same birthday. Siblings? Famously love sharing stuff. Yeah, well, interesting, Rob. Oh I thought you mean well now you said that. I'm not. Oh no there is an issue related to it which is obviously what they won't have as an issue yeah is the other other other other other other other other other other other other other other other other other other other. the other. the the thrn't. thinininininininininin. But then you don't get bothered by that when you get older because you know that your day's coming.
Starting point is 00:04:32 You know your day's coming. There's no coffee in the house at all. And it's actually feeds into, you know the question, the thing that if your partner was listening. Yeah, that maybe they'd say, they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd they'd their, they'd say that's a fair point, but you don't want to bring it up because it calls an argument. Yeah. So this is one of my little gripes with me and Lou is if Lou's indoors and I'm at the shop and I text over ring and say, do we need anything? Yeah. And Lou just goes, oh, just get whatever. Like just get a few bits. What I'm saying, when I need anything, do you mind having a fridge? Like quickly scan. the the scan. Now I'm not saying write a full list and get at that big shot, but quickly scan, I'd say the key five.
Starting point is 00:05:10 What are the big five? Milk, bread, coffee, and then the other two are miscellaneous for what the children might need for dinner? Well, the one I struggle with, which I wish, if someone said to me me me me me me me me me me me to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to me, to to to to to to to the, the the the the the the the the the the the think, think, thi, thi, thi, I, the thi, thi, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I........ And, I, I, I, I, I, I. And, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, the the the thin, thin, thin, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. And, th. today, thin, the the the the the me yeah what are the things that do your head in most yeah not being that milk or oat milk yeah depending on mood is definitely top yeah eggs is the other one actually that eggs is a nightmare bread products for children's breakfast yes yes yeah oh disaster and then the other one is snacks for school pickup yeah if I'm leaving the house I'm already late for pickup and then there's thou-tha-ohh-up and the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh their their oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh the they. they. they. they. they. the they. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th the the the the the th the the the the the the the the is snacks for school pickup. Yeah, if I'm leaving the house, I'm already late for pickup and then there's nothing and I know it's going to kick off when I get there. So yesterday I said, Lou, I'm in the shop, do you need anything?
Starting point is 00:05:54 She would no, not really. And then we have no coffee. But she could have just looked at the coffee. the coffee. Here's a little tip of what I like to do Rob. What do you like to do with the coffee? Well not with the coffee but general. I like to do this particularly with cleaning products. Yes, sure. When it's finished, yeah. Don't put it in the bin. Put it in full view on the side to remind yourself that it needs replacing. Okay. Now that is messy though, it's not like a big. the the the the to the the to the to the the to the the the the to the the the to the the the to the the to the th. the to do the to do thirty thirty to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be. to be. tho. tho. tho. tho. th. th. to be. th. th. to be. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. t. to. to. to. to. to. to. too. too. to. toe. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to now that is messy though, isn't it? It's not like a big line of things. It's just-
Starting point is 00:06:27 Did you do that with a dirty vacant tray that Rose hadn't cleaned out for a few days? Remember that? He left it out? Yeah, I did. Yeah, I did. Yeah, I'm gonna. I've got a plug in. Josh, I can go to say, my garage stinks.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Why is he garage? I've got a stinky garage. What, sorry, what's in your garage? A car? But then obviously it's a bit muddy where we have, so it drives in a bit of mud, it gets just a bit musty, a bit of a tru for drinks, they were left through the garage. They said, oh, doesn't your garage smell nice?
Starting point is 00:07:08 I said, honestly, thank you. And you know what I meant a lot? Because I've been thinking, I've got a right old stinky garage on me hands here. Yeah, yeah. And I don't know if I can turn it around? Is it a little plug in, the garage. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. I. I. th. I only think I could turn it round, but there's just a little plug in and I don't know if we've got air wick or airclade or whatever they're going. Yeah, but when did you plug it in your garage smells lovely? Oh, mate, it's half-field. Well, that was the problem, wasn't it?
Starting point is 00:07:33 Well, that was all like, it smells like horseshirt. they where they hang the washing out. Smells like a beautiful summer, fresh filled and they all like, it smells like horseshit. Well if horsesh it gets in your clothes. Now so back to the coffee I'm now drinking hazelnut flavored coffee. Oh, from a container that the best before days actually perished. Oh my word. Why have you got hazelnut flavored coffee? I don't I don't know. I think Lou, have got that. We both like coffee, both like hazelnut. Yeah, yeah. So I'm going to drink it so I might not survive the episode. But let's see how it goes. It's absolutely disgusting. Yeah, but you're going to plow on. Yep. Need it. Need it. Yeah, need it. Medically It's an addiction. Yeah, I'm addicted addicted addicted addicted addicted addicted addicted addicted addicted. I I I addicted. I I addicted. I to. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. I'm addicted. It's a long day without it. This is the thing of the country.
Starting point is 00:08:27 How, if I said to you now, just nip out and get some coffee, what's that going to take you? Oh, you're looking at a 10 minute wonder it's so perilous when you're in the shop. Yeah, yeah. Because this morning I needed yogurt and I just went out and got yogurt. Exactly. We can't do that Josh. So that's why I did ring and say is anything we need. Yeah. Because sure, Lou and I, we don't want to be driving for 10 minutes in the morning to get coffee. It's not going to happen. We haven't got enough time. We haven't the the we have enough we have time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time time to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to to the time to the time to to to to the time the time the time the time the time the time the the the the the to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to go to go to to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go and to go and to go and time. to to the tooo. to the to the the the to the the to the the to the to the to to to to the coffee, maybe yesterday. Yeah. It's even shorter than going out of the house, isn't it? Well, here's one roll. She's gonna go fucking mental when she hears this.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Alright, that's fine. I'll defend you by having a go of, do you want me to have a go to Rose? Yeah. So in Cornwall, right. I'm more over that. I like that. I like though. Oh, it's a bit of fun. Oh, Rob, my radiator, talking about so hot. It's still on. Even though our heating's off. No. And I think it's linked up to a hot
Starting point is 00:09:49 water supply rather than our heating supply. It's on a different loop. And is that the only one? I don't know. So what's broke at the little knob you twizzle on the side? Yeah. Just get that fixed? I know it's on the list. Right okay so if you got that fixed you could just turn it off? But the moment the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. thooing. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. toe. to. toe. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. So, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. tho. the. thoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. And the list. Right okay so if you got that fixed you could just turn it off yeah but the moment it's not gone off with like all the other ones because it's not part of the... Do you're on my list of things that need fixing? Please because my my day is awful today what much I've got to do? My radiator that's next to me where I work that's on full blast thrown tho y summer yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I I I I I I the the the the the the the the the the the the th. I'm the the th. I th. I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tho I tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho tho thooo thooo. thooooo. thooo. I thooooo tho. I's tho tho tho the the top of that. I know. And same with looking at May, we got a thing put in our garden because I find every day, I like to water the plants but every day it becomes stressful for me. It's not relaxing. No. So we've got things in the flower bed that are on timers. I love it. Yes. And he's quite cheap actually once you set it up. It is. Yeah. But we've attached it to the tap to to to to to to the to the the to the to the to the to tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap. tap the the the the tap tha. to to the the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tap. tha. to. to., but we've attached it to the tap. Yeah. The attachment to the tap has broken
Starting point is 00:10:47 so that if you turn the tap on, it just sprays water at all angles, like you're putting your finger on a hose pipe. So you've got it all set up, you just need the little attachment. And because it's attached the tap, I now can't use the hose. So by getting this thing, I I I I I I I I I th. Oh, I th. Oh, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. that, that, the the that, that, the that, the the that, the the the the the that, the that, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, tap, that, that, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, that, that, that, that, the that, the that use the hose. So by getting this thing I'm now having to water the plants with a watering cat. I've gone backwards. I need an app called Dad can you help and what it is is for pathetic people like me and you we can just message them on it and a bloke that comes around that's like a real man. Well I did that with my printer on air tasker. well yeah I know. And he told me I'd broken it. So what's it you need to get an attachment for your hose thing? Yeah. Radiator. Yeah I've got an alert every time I get in my car saying that I need to do something to do with checking the oil. I think I think the thing you've got to do is check it it the the the the the the the the the the the the the th is check. the to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to to to the to the to to to to to their to to to to their their to to to to to to to tooke. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. I. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. with checking the oil. I think the thing you've got to do is check it. And also my experiences of oil, the reason is there's never too much.
Starting point is 00:11:51 No, but my dad got in and I said, what do I do about this? And he said, because he knows all about cars, because he's of a different generation to you and up. But he said that it looks like one of those timed automated ones it doesn't look like it's in relationship to the oil. Right the one where every six months you need to check kind of thing. So is it orange or red on the dashboard? No, it comes up on the digital display it comes up as like a message like if you got a text on your phone. Right but it's not like a a little warning sign. No no. I'd I I I I I I I I I I I I I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd that I'd that I'd that I'd that I'd that I'd that I'd that I'd that I'd that I'd that's that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's not that that's not like it's not like it's not like it's not like it's not like it's not that's not. that. that. that. I'd that. I'd that. I'd that. I'd that. I'd that's that's that's the the the the the the th. th. the the. the the. the. the the. that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's not that's'd ignore that until the car stopped running. So what happens with me now is because it takes five to ten seconds for that message to come up, yeah? Right. So what happens every time I get in the car is I get in the car,
Starting point is 00:12:32 I put it in reverse, to move out. I've got a reversing camera screen thing, yeah, you know those things? No one's wondering why you've put it in reverse. I put the car into reverse why just because I can. And then I put it in drive. I don't want to get unrelatable for my car's got forwards and backwards. Hey guys, I still would have been pretty relatable going here. Yeah my car does go forward as back. And it's got a digital display. Yeah so you know those, it's got us a display. It says on it. th. th. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the their. the their. th. the. the their. their. their. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I. the. the. the. the. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. It. It. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's know those, it's got a display, it says on it, don't do all your reversing by the video screen. Fucking out, of course I'm doing all my reversing by the video screen. Not with your neck.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Exactly. That's why I'm here, mate. Sorry, you've got a projected screen in front of me or I can turn around and look through a seat like I'm peering through a window box window box window window window what's it good letter box you know anyway this is so boring I didn't mean to talk about this the moment I start reversing the oil automated thing overrides the video screen yeah it overrides it so I can no longer see where I'm reversing and you are relied on the screen which I shouldn't be and then I I have the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the to to to to to the to to to to the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. the they. I have they. I have they. theyneauetermeterms. theyneau. things. things. things. things. things. the the the the the the the relied on the screen I'm relying on the screen which I shouldn't be and then I have to take it out of reverse yeah and put it back into reverse to override Rob right okay. Yeah It's so minor but that's another thing I've got to get fixed you got to check your oil basically
Starting point is 00:13:59 Oh, I'll check my oil. So what else is on your list? Anything else? They're the main ones. There's a door hanging off a hinge in the kitchen. Do you know what I was thinking about every day? They're a good invention, aren't they, doors? My life without doors, it would be impossible. I don't think it wouldn't work, would it? Yeah, I wonder who invented the door. Or did they like, do the point? Well, they would have had a hut with like a drape would they have had back in the day before?
Starting point is 00:14:26 Well, just a hole. Like a cave, they're basically building a cave. They must have invented doors by this point, so I'm going to sound stupid. But you know, like in a cowboy film? Yeah, saloon doors. Yeah, well, they donboys need that? It's like naked attraction. You can just see the feet. Well, just feet and that.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Feetin. Boots and at. Check he's a cowboy from where it comes in. Oh, whoa, whoa. Whoa. Let's see the bottom and top. I don't know. I can't remember what we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Just to make you feel better really. Well I thought about doors because I was in my daughter's assembly today. Yeah, they were doing something about castles. She was the jester. Oh yeah, she had a? I used to love that bit. No, you did a... Why there's so many silly people in the castle, because it's a king dumb. Oh yeah, not bad at all. The other one was, why is there no sun in the castle because it's full of nights? That's solid, that's good stuff. But yeah, she delivered it really well. Oh, it that silly. Oh no, phone? Oh, farrow's here. Oh, Carol, oh, can I, can I lose mom?
Starting point is 00:15:49 No, can I have a second? I've just got to let Carol in. Yeah, of course. I've got about Carol. Please be vaudement. Who the fuck's Carol? Who's the podcast? Who do you think Carol is? I think it's something to do with either gardening or cleaning or something around that. It's got to be, isn't it? It's a domestic service of some kind. Yeah, delivering flowers. Do you know, are you on first name terms with your florist? No, that's true. Yeah, I think you're right. I thinkthink Carol is the cleaner or the gardener.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Sorry, I forgot that. What's happening? We just had a bet on who Carol is and we think cleaner or gardener. Oh, you'll never get it. No? Okay, dog groomer. Dog walker. No. I said florist. First of all, guess. the geander. Oh, Carol. he's a check builder. Oh close yes he is I got off a little fireplace that's broken. Ah so he's removing him putting a new one in.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Oh exactly. His Carol's in Poborsky, not England flag on Facebook. Tough use. Oh God. Well, I got this fire one then one's like, it's a flame, but it's done bioethnal. I think I spoke to you about it, didn't I? No. You put like liquid fuel in and then it's sort of light and it's sort of a flame, but it comes out of, it's quite modern, so it's like a flat plate that has a flame coming out. It was like a flain, I was watching the tele, he went, oh let's put the fire on it would be nice, I'm putting the heating on in the room. Put it on, mate, it fucking went mental.
Starting point is 00:17:28 It was just like about eight foot eye. So it's trying out, it looked out, it like saying from stranger things. So I was like, oh, I'll just turn it off from the wall. Turned, to to to to the wall, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, and it, and it, and it, and it, and it, and it, that it didn't but it was fine because Carol knows what he's doing this really good fireplace basically it was a faulty thing on it that was letting too much fluid out. So the flame was hot and it wasn't too bad but it was quite pipe but once I turned the off from the stopped releasing yeah anyway they've stopped it for me good guy on that I used one of our small businesses oh yeah go on the than to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the tooes tooes tooes tooes tooes tooes tooes tooes too I I too too too too tooes too to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to too. told I was I was I too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. too. to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the too. too. toe. toe. toe. toe and fixed my fish tank. So what's wrong with the fish tank? Did you pay him? Yeah, I paid him, 100 beans.
Starting point is 00:18:08 He'd come around and he's sort of, is it all good? This is the problem. I've just got so much contrasting advice. He turned up. I just wanted someone to tell, what about the fish tank? Yeah, he! You said you pumps too small and you need to get out of the fish tank. That wonder it's covered in algae. Your clogs tiny and it's green. Sorry, I'm carried away.
Starting point is 00:18:45 The fish keep getting sucked towards it. I'm not very good at you, no. Right, exactly. So he said, the pump's too small. He got rid of all the algae, and I used to, here's a tip, I used to change the fish tank stuff with jugs. So five liters of five liters. But he you th, you th, you th, you th, you th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, he, thi, thi, he's thi, he's thi, he's thi, he's thi, he's thi, he's thi, he thi, he thi, he thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, togs, togs, togs, togs, togs, to use a, it's a bit like a kind of hose,
Starting point is 00:19:05 it's a bit like, you know when, I've never done it obviously, because I am who I am, but my dad used to have to do it in the 80s and 90s, you know when you'd suck from a petrol tank, to get the hose going. Yeah, I've got vivid memories of my thap. What the fuck is wrong with this lunatic? Why was he doing that? Sorry, are we in the film Mad Max? Is there some sort of pathetic shortage that we had to suck out? Why did you need to do that?
Starting point is 00:19:29 I don't know, but I've got images of us on a forecourt where there's loads of petrol? But he put the wrong stuff in? I think people could do it if they were stealing it from you. Yeah or if say for instance someone broke down they had run out of petrol you could get a bit out of yours and give it to them. Is that what they were doing? That doesn't feel right. How does it we get COVID and they didn't they're sucking off petrol tank? That generation did whatever they fucking wanted. Anyway he says use one of them because it will suck out the stuff from the bottom. Right. So anyway, and he got rid of all the algae and he's also recommended the right plans that
Starting point is 00:20:08 won't create algae. Yeah, plastic was. Give me loads of things to buy and I'm back to normal. So shout out to those guys. Thanks for that. Do you know what? Our small business shoutout really is a winner. Anyway, that was off you saying about Carol. Carol, yeah, Carol anyway, he's doing a good job down there, good man. And it wasn't his product either, he just installs him, but he's sorted out the replacement
Starting point is 00:20:31 and he's doing it now, good on him. Can I talk to you about parenting, Rob? Absolutely, yep. YouTube. I need your advice, because you've got older kids. Yeah. My daughter can now write. thaaaaaa. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. tha. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. He is th. He is th. He is th. He is th. He is th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He th. He, th. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He. He is th. He is th. He is th. He is th. He is th. th. the. the. th. t. t. toda. toda. toda. th. th. th. th. th. Yeah, okay. So her and her friend were watching YouTube on the iPad. Right, YouTube kids or YouTube full? I need to change it to kids. You are. You might as well just send them to Amsterdam in the Red Light District. Do you know what they'd written in, Rob? What? Mad people? That is so, so mental. Well, exactly, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:21:13 They just want to see mad people. I just want to see mad. Angry mad or just like... No, because then they either think they had a specific thing they wanted to see because then it didn't come up and they changed it to crazy people. Do you know what I think it is? I think kids at school, it's so like, sit there, do th... their their, their, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, so, thi, so, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. that's thi. that's thi. that's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi, thi, to see because then it didn't come up and they changed it to crazy people. Do you know what I think it is? I think kids at school, it's so like sit there, do that, no, now's the time to, my kids go mental when they come home from school. I think it's so, yeah, even jobs aren't as formal and as strict as school. I hated school. Yeah. So I the closest I've had to go into school. Talked to me about the Baftas. Congratulations, sorry. Congratulations on winning a Bafta. Oh, thanks, mate. It's just very serious, isn't it? You know what I mean? It's like, it's just a bit of fucking tellad.
Starting point is 00:21:55 People take it really seriously. I know, I really struggle because I'm sort of... It's not the Pride of Britain awards, guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys th and awards, guys th and awards, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, th and I struggle because I'm sort of... It's not the Pride of Britain Awards, guys. No. Yeah. Yeah, that was all good. It was a long old night, but I struggle with anything we have to be serious and I... Did you see Judy loves eyes? Yeah, Judy loves eye roll was amazing, would it? Yeah. I'd say what, though, I was very tired because it's quite long. Also, that's really heavy. I've their their th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a th. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It was a long. It was a long. It was a long. It was thi. It was a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. It's a long. Also, that is really heavy. They're lights up walking around the fucking kettle belt. Well, I wouldn't that bloody no, Rob. Four nominations still are yet to hold a fucking kettle belt. That's unfair, four nominations. You should get why. Why is that Craig David, isn't it? Jimmy White? My agent said when you came off, you said you had a bad back because you've been standing up so f-ohed. to their back, tho' their, their, their, th. th. their, th. th. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their fu. Four, their f. Four, their f. Four, their. Four, their. Four. Four. Four. Four. Four. Four, th. Four, to. Four, to. Four nigh. Four nigh. to. two awards you come off and wait and then you can go through notes a little bit so it was a
Starting point is 00:22:48 and you're worried you're always in shot I suppose. Exactly so you're always on and you're always on like three hours of that I felt like you know them guards that faint when they're waiting to the queen. All stream just loads of serious bitch after the tell seriously and stuff like that. They have like people who they've lost and all that kind of stuff. They have a bitchery section and stuff like that and then they've been like fellowship awards and then people make really political points or that so many people watch it's like, the the the they people they're their toy, and th's they people have have have they people have they people who've they people who've they people have the only people watch it, it's like, jokes were getting taken out and changed like on the Saturday, you're doing it on the Sunday and it's like... I'm not going to name names, my friend said his joke, one of the words got changed six times. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:33 He's going to change six times before they accepted it. There's a lot of people involved in all the decision making. So it's like, it's almost like, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, where, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the the the the the the, the the the the the the the th. So, th. So, th. So, th. So, tho. So, so, so, th. So, tho. tho. thoan, tho. tho. th. tho. th. th. th., where is this? Like, it is so us, we can do it everywhere. It couldn't be less people involved. Yeah, exactly. I mean, if there was one less person involved, it couldn't exist. When after there is about 3,000 people there, and it is like, you're part of this massive sort of thing. But no, everyone's lovely, and it was a great event. But it is a long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long, And also as well they did if it was doing the monologue that I think they were cut into shots of the crowd. So the audience could see but we couldn't. So they were laughing at bits.
Starting point is 00:24:08 But we had no idea what they were laughing at stuff like Judy loves eye roll because we couldn't see what they were seeing. Fockin' real. And then really well, everyone's really, most difficult. In the sort of most difficult, I'd say, I, I, I then when you're hosting baffers, but I was great and it's really like, you know, always great to win one and things like that. So anyway, I was exhausted and I was in a hotel the next day, right? I've been like eating really healthfully and stuff last few weeks. Yeah, fitness.
Starting point is 00:24:37 You look very good for it. was like bacon roll back thing and it took that literally 40 minutes to come and I was like oh excuse you I'm still waiting for this bat I know I'm the fucking baftus last night yeah also as well when I ordered it I was like a sausage an egg back or a bacon an egg back went oh can I get a sausage and bacon with the egg in the back went people don't normally have both? I was like oh I'm getting fat shathing now I'm all right so I was like I was like I was like I was like I was like I was like I was like I was like I was like a the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th I'm th th the th the th th th I'm the the the the the the th I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th I'm th I'm th th th th th th th th th the I'm the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the I the I the get sausage and bacon with the egg in the back, went, people don't normally have both. I was like, alright, so I'm getting fat shading now, huh? Mate, do you want me to show you my fitness, palatin' what I've been eating for the last three weeks? Are you aware of a chicken?
Starting point is 00:25:15 Because I've eaten four of the fuckers in the save the laughs of chickens around our eating. We'll talk about parenting right? So I'll tell you I've got a big old parenting story we've got as well so let's do that right so today. Today's very busy so the bafter's one Sunday, today's Tuesday after the bafter's were a little bit sort of because I've been busy with a baftas we're a bit of a bit you're on catch up we're on catch up. we're on catch we're on catch we're on cat we're on cat we're the the the to to to the to to the to to the to to the to the their we're to to their we're to to to to to to to to to to to to to their we're to to to to to to to to to to to to to told. We're we're to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their we're to their we're to to their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their tod their today. We're tell. We're tell you tell you tell you're tell you're tell you're told told told to to to to to to're doing this today. So today... Too too tired for coffee in a way. It's far too tired to look for coffee. Anyway, we dropped our kids off of school this morning. Lou went ahead of me. I went after. We watched their assembly. I've come back now to do this with you. Doing the school to watch my other daughters assembly. And then I'm getting picked up from there to go to Camberley to do a working
Starting point is 00:26:08 progress gig. Where's Camberley? Oh, it's like sort of near Ascot way. Over that way. So it's a busy old day. Yeah. On the way back from school, I saw a hitchhiker. You didn't pick him up. No. But you look quite normal. It was just like in a blue rain jacket of a bag. And I think there are some road works going at the moment. So I think some buses are on diversions and where I live, if a bus is on diversion and doesn't turn up, because it's like one every 40 minutes. If it doesn't turn up or you miss one, you might as well as well, you might as well, you might as well, you might as well, you might as well, you might as well, you might as well, thua as well, thurn, thurn, thu, thu, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thi, thi, thi, the thi, thi, thi, their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their, their their their their their their their their their their their that, that, that, thi, and I thi, and I thrown. thrown. the. theat, theat, theat, theat, theat, theat, theat, theat, the. th and wait to die or be discovered. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. Yeah, it's over. You can't even walk because it's so narrow the roads and the bushes are out now because it's right. So I don't know if he was just like I'm stuck here but there's only one way that if
Starting point is 00:26:54 this person could be going but I was like any positive hitchhikers like from the days of taking the petrol out the tank with a hose. Like, I'm sure there was more hitchhikers when I was a kid. My dad would pick up a hitchhiker. I've never seen a hitchhiker in my life. I lived in London. I've never, that is the first hitchhiker. I've ever tell you where you'd see them. Yeah. Service stations. When you leave a todice. tha. tha. thii. thi. the. thi. thi. thi. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. their. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. There's not, but that's what I'm picturing.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Maybe when I was a teenager I saw them on the way to festivals when people have been dropped today. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But actually just day to day. Where are they going? Like, then you just live in the middle of nowhere? It was actually a bus, but maybe to get back for this.. the the the the to the next little town and goes to work. Oh, I said, will you tempted Rob? If I weren't so busy and I had to get back for this, I probably would have for the story. Yeah. A bit of content, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:27:50 Yeah, exactly. Oh, Josh, never guess what? Do you're on fire? Do you know, just have to the threat? You're on fire, you're on fire, you're on fire, you're on fire. Not the only thing. You know, the closest thing we got to hitchhikers in Southeast London was down by at Capford, there's an industrial estate by the home base, you get people that hang around hoping that builders need laborers for the day.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Oh wow. And then they get in the back of the van and taken to a site to carry carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry to carry their to carry stuff stuff stuff stuff to carry site to carry stuff out and get dropped back at the own base. Yeah. You've seen those guys? No, I've never seen that. You sort of see a group of guys that look like they may not have the all the full documentation maybe apply for it to become a partner at Waitros, aka work at Waitros. Clever when they've done that Waitress and John Lewis. Ask one of the partners. Do they get shares? I don't know, but I wouldn't ask one of the partners. They can't get much shares because it's quite a lot of them. I wouldn't ask one of the partners,
Starting point is 00:28:52 which was a 16-year-old boy in the yogurt, and I said to him, I'm saying who could? Who could? That's the thing if you're spending your whole time in charge of the whole company, you're not going to know if they're... He's like one of the partners doesn't know where the protein yogurts are. Also I put in barrens asking for it. You think Alan Sugar knows where the screws are in his factories? He can't even find him in his off actually. I think the coffee's right on on that people like try to just ask you like that kind of thing. So when I was a student in Manchester, so Man City still played at Main Road, the old ground that was in the middle of Moss side that was like a really rough is the area I think that's fair to say like yeah it had an edge and I'd go to to to to to to to to to to to to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to go to to to to to the game the game to the game the game the game to the game the game the game the game the the the the the the the the the the that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they. the the the the that's that's that's the. I that's the. I that's the. I that's that's that's that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. I that's. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'mthink that's fair to say, like, it had an edge. And I'd go to the games occasionally, and I remember Scallies, is that the wrong word these days?
Starting point is 00:29:51 Scally, I think Scallies is fine. You can call someone a Scalys, can't you? Yeah, like a Scalys is fine. Yeah, these Scalys, like, the scaly, like, they's like, like, they's, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, the scaly, like, like, like, like, the scaly, the scaly, the, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, scaly, is, scaly, scaly, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, scaly, is, is, is, scaly, is, scaly, is, is, scaly, is, is, scaly... the scaly. the scaly, is, is, is, is, scaly. the scaly, is, is, is, scaly, is, scaly, is the scaly, is scaly, scaly, is the scaly, is the scaly, scaly, is the scaly, is the scaly, is scaly, is,. And you're like, I'm just a guy from Devon and I'm 18 and I'm scared. I wouldn't say that out loud. But that's how I- That's what your eyes would say. That's what my eyes would say. Did they go in with you then?
Starting point is 00:30:13 No, I'd go. I'm not sure actually. and you can mate, that's what you should have said. Oh yeah, should have said that. If a real Scallies wouldn't ask, they'd just do it. Exactly. These kids, they thought they were Liam and Noel, but they weren't really. Do you know what I mean? Loses. Oh, the birthday, the woos.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Yeah. Want me to tell you about the birthday on Saturday morning. Yeah. No Saturday day, the whole day. Yeah. All 24 hours of it. Traditional house we go for the full 24 hours. Well, I actually think we're cutting back birthdays issues sustainability wise. On Friday night we went for dinner, me and Rose with some friends, which was very nice. I still have a lovely time, but find socializing drains me without alcohol. Do you know what it is?
Starting point is 00:31:09 It's not draining you any more than with alcohol. You're just aware of it because you're not drunk. So even if you're sober, like the next day, if you're on your drink, the next day you're exhausted because you're like, oh my god, that's so great. That is energy. Especially when you've got got the kids the kids the kids the kids the kids the kids the kids tha thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thoom, thoom, thoom, that's that's thi, thi, that's not, that's that's that's that's that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi.. thin, thoomoomorrow. tooomorrow, tooomorrow, tooomorrow, tooomorrow, tooomorrow. toe. tooomorrow. that's not that's not that's not that's not that's that is. Energy is it, especially when you're got kids and you're tired and busy, you've only got a certain about a social battery in you. Yeah, totally. So I woke up I was quite tired socially. Then this landed on a lap Rob. Yeah. One of his friends from nursery was having their birthday party on his birthday.
Starting point is 00:31:38 But was it their birthday? Yeah, it's their birthday as well. Yeah. I think that's tha their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their tho's thoes thoes thoes' thoes' tho' thirty. thirty. I was soo' tho' tho' thoomoomorrow. I was thoomozy. I was thozy. I was thozy. I was thozy. I was thozy. I's thozy. I's th. I's thozy. I's th. I's th. I's th. I's th. I's th. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I's thi. I'm thi. I'm toe. I'm tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo well. The same day? Yeah. I think that's allowed. You were sort of saying that like his birthday was like the two weeks before and he's just snuck in. Oh no, no, no, I'm not saying it bad. I'm saying it's good. This lands on all that. Sounds like you got to go and watch a magician. Yeah. Go and get all the thanks. thinks. Oh love so it was a joint party? No but he's three so he gets to go to a party on his birthday. Right okay he gets to thrill. You do a birthday cake or anything
Starting point is 00:32:10 like that? Well we did on the Sunday we had a smaller gathering for just people we know with kids. Yeah you can at that age you can shift it round a bit can't you? I just think we went to this birthday on Saturday morning lovely could I say, the mum who is Swedish, the spread at a Swedish birthday pie is lovely. Some Swedish sandwiches. Oh, tol me through a Swedish spread. Well, you get all the rye bread, like the nice bread. No, not that shit without a lid. Yeah, that shit without a lid. Oh, fuck that. Dry, horrible bread. There's a look, can I say so about this bread, right? There is better bread.
Starting point is 00:32:50 The reason why this is traditional is because it's fucking, there's no sun up there in the winter. It's not the right ingredients. It's fucking shit. Right the bread is shit. Shit. Oh, I love rye bread. Herring? Do you think they eat herring because they like herring? No, they don't. It's all they fucking add. Millions of years ago, whatever it was, hundreds of years ago.
Starting point is 00:33:09 So they could get the fucking hands on. Well, Dad, I taught you through the Sweden. Meatballs? No, meatballs, no. It was 10, 30 in the morning. 35. Well, I don't like the really hard one. Yeah, the hard one's mental. But it was good, soft rye bread. Okay, fair enough. You had cream cheeses. Yep, I like that. I like that.
Starting point is 00:33:33 Oh, really? What was wrong with the meats? Ah, that's good stuff. That's good stuff. That's good stuff. Plot of cured meats. We've got cured meats in the castle. It's a celebratory of it. Yeah, they had COVID but they ate the jab so. They're all good. Tested negative if they're cured. Yeah. Sorry, as a shit joke. Oh, I enjoyed it. It's a good bit of fun in it. So that was two hours. Yeah. So by this time I am running on low bat. Yeah. Low battery. Then, because it was his party party party next day, he really fucking loves a big shop. My kids love a big shop. Like doing the supermarket shop. Yeah, so he did that in the afternoon on his birthday.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Yeah, because if you can just place him in the trolley. No, they stand on the side of the trolley, they hold onto the side, feet on and then you push it along and they fucking love it. Perfect. We used to put them them them them them them them them them them their their their their their their their their their their their th. their. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thoomk. thoomk. thi. their. thoomk. thoomk. thoomorrow. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. Yeah. Yeah. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. th. Yeah. thi. thi. thi. thi. tomk. too. together. together. together. together. together. together. together. together. together.kkkkkkkkkk. So. So. So, to put them in the trolley and then get time. Oh did you? You know the scanner ones? Yeah. I'd give them the food and then I'd hold it up, I scan it and then they put it down but they slowly starts covering them. Oh, that is good. I'll do that next time. I'll do that next time. So we did a a a a the big the big the big the big the big the big the big the big the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. So we did the th. So we did the. the. the. the. tho. tho. the the the thi. the. tho. the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food the food. the food the food the food the food the food. the food. the food. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. the food'm absolutely exhausted. I collapsed sleep on the sofa. Yeah. And then Sunday morning we went to Hamleys. Oh yeah, it was a sort of a PR event type thing. There was a Hamleys PR event. Right. I don't know what it was but they said Hamleys is opening early. Would you like to bring your kids? Okay. I'd say the lineup was eclectic. Let me guess. Can I guess? Well, you might have seen one picture I put on Instagram, but they were probably doing the bafter so you probably weren't looking at your Instagram stories. No, I wasn't on me phone. I just stood up with a, you know, because the ceremony is three hours long. Yeah, no, I know, because the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony ceremony the ceremony the ceremony the ceremony ceremony ceremony ceremony is the ceremony ceremony ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony is the ceremony. Oh my God. An hour rehearsal. That's seven hours to look. Romash
Starting point is 00:35:29 said to me, his legs hurt more after that than the marathon. No wonder Romish has been training is for the Baptists. Who was there? Samantha and Billy Fares from Tauwey? There was some people from Tauwe but I didn't recognise them. No, Amy Charles wasn't there. Ellie Taylor. No, Noel Fielding. Oh, didn't expect that. Yeah, that was nice. Lovely to see Noel. Yeah. Bradley from S Club Club. Yeah. that theyclub. Yeah, kids or just on his own. With S Club Juniors? We always got.
Starting point is 00:36:08 Arlene Phillips? Arlene Phillips? Who is Arlene Phillips? She used to be the judge on Streatley. Oh yeah, and she got the heave hoe and everyone said it was for ageism. Yeah. Right. She's 80.
Starting point is 00:36:19 What? She was there. What? grandkids. Good honor. One of the dragons, Sarah Davies I think. Sarah Davies. Yeah. Oh yep, Sarah Davies, she was there. Yeah, it's a real mix. So we took them, they fucking never been to Hamleys before Rob. I know my kids want to go Hamleys. I might take them at something. The kids love it. Can I say something about the Pafters? Yeah, we can let it out when you text us in an hour.
Starting point is 00:36:49 So the actual event was fun, but without any industry, there's always full of different people, isn't there? Yeah. Some of the people in TV. There's a lot of ego and a lot of taking themselves serious as well, Josh. A lot of people that think what they're doing matters. You'll love this, right? So we were waiting to say my photos taking the red carpet. Jeff Goldblum was there. Now, talk about someone not taking himself serious.
Starting point is 00:37:13 He just does not give a fuck. He's a legend. Me and Romish stood there. When you said that you look at Rich Attenborough, I thought he was going to say
Starting point is 00:37:58 from the film Jurassic Park. I was like nothing. I'm a fucking day off. Those in from an early field. And other people have said that to me before like that. And then eventually goes, so guys, what are we filming here? I was like, nothing, we're waiting to be interviewed. He went, oh, and then she walks off. He was been a bit. Ha ha ha ha ha. Starting point is 00:38:30 about when we had Caitlin Jenner on the last leg? I think, I don't remember her being on it, but I don't remember you talking about it. She was lovely, just to be clear. I walk into the makeup room. And Kate and Jenner's talking to someone yeah and I go up to her and she says could have a bottle of water please to you to me yeah and I thought I can't four time Bethden I'm an H Hitch I've Shredicum okay if I must four times loser yeah I've lost her everything yeah I've lost her everything yeah what I've lost to everything, yeah. Starting point is 00:39:15 It was improvised. Oh, they're good shows to be fair. Some would say better than the last leg, officially. But anyway... We lost a big nasty one year I think. Yeah, so that's... That is hard to twoll. Ha ha ha ha ha. He goes to sleep some shows. I remember going to awards with the last leg.
Starting point is 00:39:43 I don't know what it was was maybe, RTS or something. We lost to release the hounds, that was a low night. Well, the hounds there? Yeah, the hounds ran on stage. So I got the bottle of water, because I thought you can't. No. But then obviously when she walks out onto the set as a guest, she's like, what the fuck's that guy doing sat out with it? Who the fuck is he?
Starting point is 00:40:14 Is it still the rehearsal? No, this is on the show. She didn't do it. How was the rest of the birthday weekend then on Sunday? Oh yeah, yeah. Starting point is 00:40:32 When your kids in the first three years, you don't actually need to buy them loads because they'll get it from other people and they don't realize. Yeah. So all he wanted was a stuffed avocado, not the food. Also, how do you fucking stuff an avocado? Yeah, take out the stow. No, you can't stuff and avocado. He's built to be taken out. What I mean is, do you know those teddies that are food teddy?
Starting point is 00:40:56 Oh, what's that they've got a name from? they're like jelly cat? they're? No, jelly cats, they're really good jellycat as teddies go. If you want to buy a teddy for something, jellycat, they're called food teddies. What are they called? Plush. Are they called plush? Are they're plush? Are they're plush? Are they're plushed? I'm quite cool, I quite like it actually. It's got a little D necklace. Add to Baskett. Anyone from Stuyvesantin' in, send me a bear? Don't actually want a bear please don't do that. Anyway, halfway through the party, Rob, I was gripped with a deep depression. Oh no. Because I've obviously just overgone.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Too much that weekend that weekend that much that weekend, yeah. Too much that weekend. It was quite good because I identified I was like, this is just burnout from a weekend of, yes. Rose said it was a real nostalgia trip for her seeing my eyes. She said this is what you were like 18 months ago. Yeah, all the day every day every day for weeks. All day every day. I had a bit of that last week as well just the pressure of the Baftas coming up, trying to juggle lots of plates, work, the kids, it's, but also it doesn't even have to be, the Baftas may, for me, drain a bit quicker because there's a lot more going on, but just, I have that before, when it is like, I'm going out for, seeing uni friends, I've seen for ages, seen schoolmates, yeah, going out with Lou, for a couple, and th, th, th, th, th.., th, th, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the ba, the bafters, the bafters, the bathers, the ba, the ba, the ba, the ba, the ba, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the b, the ba, the ba, the ba, the ba, the ba, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, the bafters, that, and it is just, you do need to make sure that you're having time to yourself to recover and rest. Totally. And then you become Aggie to be around. Totally.
Starting point is 00:43:29 That's, myself included, I'm not just saying you, like anyone. No, no, no, I do. So how did you recover from that, Josh? I went out on my own. I just was like, I'm going to just going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going to just going, I'm going, I'm going, and to just, and to just, and to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to just, and to just, and to just, and to just, and to just, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going to just, I'm going to just, I'm going to just, I'm going to to just, I'm going to going to going to going to going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, to just going, I'm going, I'm going drained slowly over time and just going, just knowing that it's going to drain and by the evening I was all right, but yeah, God, she's just sat at the pie, going oh my God. But it's knowing it's chemical, it's really helpful, do you know what I mean? Well yeah, it's just sort of the the dopamine levels and all that and the cortisol that's going up and down it, it ties you. So like yesterday I was knackered and
Starting point is 00:44:05 exhausted and then I went I dropped Lou at home after we had to go get the dogs because they stayed overnight when we were away. We went and got the dogs brought them back and I went oh I'm just gonna go get the car cleaned and go to the shops and I just was really slowly and I find I think it depends on what your job is I thi. I the the the the their I their I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I find I to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to there's a lot expected from a parent and also someone that does our job because it's like giving energy out the whole time where it's doing a podcast or hosting an awards or doing stand-up, you're giving, giving, and then, oh, woe is us,
Starting point is 00:44:34 but sometimes when you aren't about, I look more as expected for you from conversation. You can't just sit on a bench and because I, oh, so I have to find little moments where I can be totally on my own. So when I went to the shops, I just sat in the car for half and now, I did a bit of meditating before I win in the show, just to, I need to be on my own and the more I'm on my own. He also gives time to look for the coffee. Yeah, I need to be on my own and then that recharges my batteries a little bit, you know. And then you're a better parent and husband and worker and performer or whatever it is you do after that. But yeah, you have to put yourself first in order to be good for everyone else I think sometimes.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Totally. It's amazing you recognize that Josh or you wouldn't. I know it is good isn't it? Whereas previously you'd be like, oh God the world's awful and I hate it. Or what I would do is book a gig in to distract from it. I feel like shit if I do a gig, at least I'm earning money or getting better comedy and at least I'll be distracted from feeling like shit because I can't actually process try not feel like shit. I'm not earning money at the money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money money at the money at the money money money money at the money at the money at earning money at the moment for my gigs Rob. Yeah I know but like that's how I would do it in a park. Well you will be once you do a proper tour. Right now but at the moment the freedom of knowing that I'm not getting paid and I can be shit is incredible. He's mental. He's mental. That's, like
Starting point is 00:45:53 if you want to jump on it basically just basically to do the end. That's how you started off doing it for no money. I know. But also as well if you do do the gigs that pay you, then you can't really express yourself and try what you want to do because there is a job to be done. Totally agree. I did that. I don't name the gig. But as a Friday night gig there was a those. And I was in the middle trying to to the to to to to to to to that? I went, pardon? Why are you telling us that? I went, I think it might be quite funny at some point. I'm sort of, I think that's a funny angle and I think it makes me laugh, but I think I just got to work at an example and then get a joke on the end of the joke and I'll take that as read. I didn't like it. I to to to to th it. I to th to th th th to th th th th like it. I th like it. I th like it. I to th like I th like I th like I to th like I th like I didn't like I didn't like th like th like th like th like that th like I thi. I didn't like I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I that I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like I th like th like thin like th like th like th like thin think th like th like thin like th like th like th like thi thi thi thi. I thi thin like I th like I to to this to proceed, maybe just be silent at the end of the joke and I'll take that
Starting point is 00:46:45 as red. I can't go around the room and do one each whether you like to joke or not. You know what I mean? It'll take forever. Well you say that. I once did a gig and I turned up, this was in the days when you're doing bad, bad gigs. And the landlord was booked this. And he was like, the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. thi no stage and people having dinner and he was like the landlord has booked this and he was like is the mic I just thought you could go table to table and do a bit for each other.
Starting point is 00:47:14 They I actually had to do that a corporate cricket ground one. Oh my god like a fucking magician. Edgebaston. Oh yeah, nice ground. In Birmingham. Yeah. Basically, it was a thing that the cricket board were doing to try and bring younger people to 2020 and they were booking comedians to go to each ground. So I did one down in Hampshire and I commentated with the pitch side reporter and I was commenting on it and basically just being there doing a few photos and what not. And I did one where I went there and it was basically up to the ground of what they wanted you to do.
Starting point is 00:47:45 So he went, maybe in between batting, can you just go out to the wicket with a mic and just do stand up there? Fuck off that garden. And in comedy you want to be the's going to work. Like, I'm so far away and there's no camera, it's just going to be mental, it's gonna be me. And he went, oh, okay, well, what about this then? There's a big drink, like, you know, like, the big concourse? Yeah, yeah, yeah, because at cricket grounds,
Starting point is 00:48:13 there's like a big area to drink. A massive, bar to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. It's, thi. It's, thi. It's, thranny. It's a. It's a thranny. It's, thrown. It's a thr. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's a thi. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's, th. It's a thin. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's like, like, like, like, like, thr. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a big. It's a couple of like tables in the middle, holding pines all watching Andy Murray in the Wimbledon final. I go, how's that going to work then? He went, we'll just turn the screen off and send you on. You said, how's that? How's that? How's that? I went, yeah, how's it? theymeat. I went, to, theymeh. to, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how? How? How? How? How? How? How? How? How? How? How? th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that, how, how? that, how, how, how, how? that, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how's, how, how, how's that, how, how? that, how's, how? that, how? that, how?. I'll get beaten up. I went, all right, then we've got to do something.
Starting point is 00:48:47 I went, yeah, no, mate. So you went, oh, let's go to the hospitality area. So who haven't booked you? Why had you been booked? I was getting about 750 quid. At the time, there was a mic, just to their too'unnel 100 100 100 100 100 100 100, I I I I I I I I I'm thro, I thro, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I've, I've, I've, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, we've got, we've got, we've got, we've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I've got, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to to to the to the the the the the the seats watching the cricket and then like in hospital you come in and there some tables inside with food on. Yeah. He went, oh here's a mic, just stand in the middle and do stand up when they come in for tea, right? Anyway, so I'm stood in the middle, they all all stood in the middle, I'll do some stand up. They will sit down, grab their tea and cake. And the screens. And their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, their. Oh, oh, oh, oh, their. Oh, their. Oh, just. Oh, just. Oh, just. Oh, just. Oh, just. Oh, just. Oh, just. Oh, their. Oh, their. Oh, t. Oh. Oh. Oh.'m sitting in the middle of a seating area with people's backs to me as they're watching Andy Murray on the screens and I'm doing stand up and the race go, come on.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Why is he? I don't know! Did you do it? Yeah. How long? 20 minutes? Yeah. Fucking out. I just commented on the tennis at the end. Did anyone turn around?
