This is just a few minutes ago, Rob, if you want to go out and play this clip. flexed all resources the FBI had and surged multiple air assets as soon as this shooting occurred.

We were cycling in agents, evidence response technicians, hostage rescue technicians, and special operators in and out of Utah, cycling evidence back and forth on these FBI planes as soon as we could so that there was no delay. And what we did, once I got there, along with the deputy on the ground, around 5 p.m. local on September 11th, walked the entire crime scene, including the foot the suspect himself took. And what we learned was there was evidence, DNA evidence that could be collected and had been collected, including a screwdriver that was found on the rooftop. Also, we went over to the scene in the wooded area where the firearm was discarded, and the firearm had a towel wrapped around it. It's important. I'll get back to that later. I even walked into the wooded area in the ravines, so I knew from my investigative experience what I could bring to the table

and what decisions I needed to make. And having the support of President Trump and the full support of the White House was what we needed for these resources to happen. And I can report today that the DNA hits from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm and the DNA on the screwdriver are positively processed for the suspect in custody.

There you go. So now that's what we're being told. Tom, when you see that, we learn this. What do you think about when you see this story? That Cash has said this. Cash is really selling it pretty hard. Are you buying it? I'm only about 50-50, and I'll tell you why. And then when he's walking like a peg leg through the community, the neighborhood, they said, oh, he shoved the rifle down the leg of his pants, and he was having to walk that way. Okay, well, maybe I buy that. But I'm just shocked.

And the other thing is, Cash Patel is patting all the FBI people on the back. But you had nothing. You had the wrong two suspects, one that you quickly dismissed, the other one you questioned and dismissed, and you, by your own admission, had no leads. until the father that had been talking to a pastor worried about his son, and now we're hearing the leaks coming out from other family members and friends that's over the past year, he was a little different.

All of those things, Pat, are lining up to show that this guy got kind of radicalized, and his dad apparently had been talking to a pastor. I am not going to stand in the way here. I got to do the right thing with my son. And so I'm only about 50-50 on this official FBI story. And I'm a little worried about it doesn't look like a gun being carried off the roof. And apparently this kid, Tyler Robinson, is not cooperating with authorities whatsoever. I know you showed an image of the Utah governor Spencer Cox, I believe his name, who basically said, this is a watershed moment in American history. We just

don't know if this is the end or beginning of a very dark chapter. I guess Tuesday is going to be the day that formal charges are going to be brought forward against this kid. But they have said that he lived with his... Furry or dated.

Transgender. And of course, is anybody shocked that the word trans magically popped up that this was his roommate. No. Is anybody shocked in that capacity? No, not at all. I mean, how many times in the past year we talked about these people, if that's it? And like, again, I'm going to go with Tom.

the Sabbath, shuts down, turns everything off, and spends time with his family. So Charlie Kirk was a Christian, don't get it twisted, but he honored both books, the Old Testament, which are the five books of Moses, and the New Testament, the teachings of Jesus. So it doesn't have to be mutually exclusive. I would love to see Christians follow Charlie's lead. There's no better role model for young men than Charlie Kirk, period. I agree. He's a phenomenal role model to follow and I think it's going to continue happening as this is going on. By the way, NFL,

so the first sports team, I believe, that recognized the assassination of Charlie Kirk was a great Yankees. I send the leadership team the message. Absolute respect. They stopped. President Trump showed up. He and Aaron Judge even had a moment together. Then comes the NFL. And the NFL teams,

China's lashing out at Mexico for considering tariffs on Chinese goods that would align more closely with Trump trade agenda. Bloomberg reported Friday, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said Mexico should think twice before imposing a plan 50% tariff on cards and other products made by China,

according to Bloomberg Transliction of Ministry announcement on Thursday, the Chinese government also seemed to imply that Mexico was merely cave into Trump's wishes and not exerting an independent trade policy. Any unilateral tariff increased by Mexico, even within the framework of the WTO rules, would be seen as appeasement and compromise toward unilateral bullying. the statement read according to Bloomberg we urged the Mexico side to exercise extreme caution

and consider carefully before taking any action Mexican President Claudio Chambom insisted the move was to protect domestic industry and did not seek to steer tensions between China and Mexico according to Bloomberg. Trump has heavily employed tariffs

in order to protect the U.S. industries with China being one of Washington's main targets, Tom. So look, Mexico is an important trading partner with the United States. States. And you take a look. We've seen all the charts of how much it's increased over the last 10 years. And China is in there trying to disrupt the U.S. economically. They played a long game. They're also wanted to be big in EVs. And BYD, which is the second largest, now the largest,

I think, on volume, EV maker in the world is a Chinese company. And they have all their EVs that are named after, I think, like oceans or birds or whatever it is. But they had this giant factory that was in Mexico. And Trump starts rattling the saber. And all of a sudden, they're like, okay, we're going to postpone that. And then China's trying to bring imports into China and into Mexico and the Mexico and the U.S. And now Trump's like, no, no, no, no, no. We're going to make a deal here.

I'm going to make a deal with Mexico. I'm not going to do this. And China flips out because they want to have that B.YD factory. They're playing a long game. They want that factory right here in our back door so they could just ship the cars right across. Now, if I was China and I was thinking about my auto industry, I would think that way. I would say, hey, we could get labor and land and everything and build the cars in Mexico and then ship them across? Yeah, let's do that.

And then guess what? That'll get after Tesla. That'll get after General Motors. That'll get after four. They'll get after all of them. What a great idea. Then everything else. And by the way, there's also a dark side.

The fentanyl coming through Mexico to United States is just. Chinese fentanyl. Vast majority of it. The majority, right? Yeah, the DEA says it. You know, I'm not going to, I'm saying majority. I'm not going to say numbers because I don't have the receipts and the numbers in front of me. But the DEA, you know, and the ATF are saying that it's, that it is Chinese fentanyl coming

through Mexico here. So there's a lot of other things that Mexico doesn't. And look carefully. China says, we urge the Mexican side to exercise extreme. caution and consider carefully before taking any actions. You know what that is? That's a threat. That's a threat.

And so now the question comes up, is it fair questions to ask, has China meddled in the political structure down there? Has title, China encouraged any of these, you know, interferences with campaigns? When I say interferences with campaigns, I'm meaning sometimes people stop campaigning. Getting beheaded. Go ahead. shortly after their heart stops. And so China throwing a fit, it's because they've got a big time play,

and they got many moves that were coming through Mexico. And this is just the beginning. I'm going to come over your border here, and I'm going to knock out some of these drug lords. They play poker pretty good. but when the U.S. does maneuvers around Taiwan two years ago and China flipped out, I'd be careful there.

basically that's not easy to understand how this will all play out i'm following the story uh for the first time here i had no idea that china the mexico was the number one buyer of chinese vehicles. But at a lot of times they get through tariffs because of the U.S. TMA, you know, if you, Mexico has free, you can, Mexico can bring American cars into United States so China will ship cars to Mexico to bypass the tariffs. There's a lot of jockeying for position here. What is it called? Hafusan. Okay. So there's a lot going on here and I understand completely why China wants to control Mexico. I would hope that we can control our own backyard or our southern order to deal with China's ascendance in the world.

Just from Tom making this point, this doesn't have to do with the actual deal with what they're doing in Mexico, but China, we always talk about them, they literally get away with everything, and they're not the adversary. There are enemy. How many deaths each year happen from fentanyl of the United States? I looked it up. Like just in 2024, there was 49,000, 48,4222. How much of that is coming from China, Tom?

How much, how much have you had to guess? I don't have the numbers in front of indeed, but I think it was the vast majority of the fentanyl and Mexico was traced to China. So, but let's say that's coming in. Americans are dying. I'll drop it to, let's say, 38,000 Americans are dying from China, okay? They're killing us with the trade.

They unleashed COVID on everybody and killed millions of people who ruined us. That is the enemy. And everybody wants us to think it's poo in and price hike. No, it's China. shot. So if China was smaller, U.S. wouldn't even think about doing business with these guys, but they're not. They're

Okay, it was so fast there's lines outside of banks of people wanted to refinance. Maybe not that fast. But it's going fast. So let me read this story and give it to the great biz doc Tom Ellsworth. All right, Tom, let's read this to you. Mortgage rates are fast as weekly pay. And you're giving some relief to the strained housing market as economic condition softened on the standard 30-year fixed rate mortgage dropped from 6.5% last week to ready, 6.35%.

This week, the lowest rate since October of last year, according to data from government mortgage securitizers. Freddie Mac, demand for mortgage rose to a multi-year high with falling interest rates. Mortgage bankers observed borrower demand surge to a third. three-year high last week following a decline of mortgage raise to their lowest since last October Tom, what is really going on here? Okay, here's what's going on. The Fed this week, we're down to hours now. It's going to be the exact hours. And if Rob can get the CME Fed Watch website, we'll look at the ticker right now. But here's what's happening. The Fed is going to lower rates in roughly

48 hours. Could it be a half a point? Probably not. But we are over 91% certain. And this isn't the business guys on Wall Street. These are the analysts and the people that follow Fed Monetary Policy. And it's two days, two hours, 53 minutes, and 48 seconds to be exact. And we're going to get the rate down. Well, so what's happening in advance? Why are the mortgage rates going now if the rates aren't going to be dropped until next week? Well, guess what? There are bonds that hold mortgages and there are bonds out there that help determine the interest rates. So Vinnie, this is not a math question. I'm just going to ask you.

You own a bank. Don't mess with Vinny's head. I own a bank. And you have all these mortgages out there. And they're at seven and three quarters and some even eight, but around seven, three quarters. It's a big stack and they're paying you interest. I'm doing great. You're a happy bank.

And all of a sudden you hear that the interest rates are down at 6.3 and get down to six and a quarter probably this week when this goes out and suddenly they're holding seven and three quarter interest on your loans and it could be down to six and a quarter at a percent percent and a half that is a magic moment where you can refi and save meaningful on your payment now what does a refi do you may get the mortgage but oh my gosh adams bank may get the mortgage you lose a customer And the rates come down. The bonds that are holding these are getting very nervous right now. They're waiting for the refi.

So the value of the bond is based on the value of the interest rates. And so what's happening right now, the bonds have shifted down, which has also moved the tenure, which has moved interest rates, which is actually exacerbated it because now people are picking up. So people with seven and a half to seven and three quarters are able to refi at 6.375, 6.5, 6.5, 6 and a quarter, which is the zone we're in right now, and that is good for homeowners. So homeowners that bought, Pat, in 2022, right after COVID, maybe they bought because they thought the home prices that were going up and keep going up, they jumped in and they bought.

Now they're at a point where they can refi. So the refy market is starting to come to life. Now, it's more refies than we've had in, I think, two and a half years. However, it's not the all-time high of refies. We're still in a kind of a... Of course it's not. We're still in a highly constrained market. No question about it.

But this is what you call little green shoots starting to peek up from the soil and looking that maybe the grass might grow. And this is good for Americans that will reduce their payments on homes they own. And it could open the door for home purchases. But we don't need a sudden shock. We need a long-term thaw. So they also think that there's going to be a quarter point come in November and a quarter point come in December. I think that's what's happening, and the CME watch group thinks that's happening too. So the answer to the question, if you think about refying, this might be a time to go out and check with your bank

because you could get a six and a quarter and six and three H right now. And if you're holding a six and a seven and a half, there's a meaningful difference there all the sudden. Adam. Well, everything is more expensive in America these days. So aside from your mortgages and what you're paying in housing, cars are more expensive, gas is pretty damn expensive. College tuition is more expensive that it's ever been. You're getting less of an ROI than you possibly ever have. Health care is more expensive.

We see what's going on in health care. Child care is more expensive. Raising kids is more expensive. Your groceries are more expensive. Things are getting more expensive. At the same time are wages for the average worker going up. Very little. So what you have to do in your life is sort of determine where should you be spending your money?

Where should you be saving your money? Should you be buying a house right now? should you be getting a car right now, she's be getting a roommate right now, should be having kids right now. Definitely not buying a car, but... Yeah, that's true. You know, they talked about...

The American Dream is now no longer... In case you ever needed that. Let's chill, Tom. You talk about the American Dream has officially doubled in price, apparently, what they say. American Dream has surpassed $5 million two years ago. It was closer to $2.5.3 million.

Things are getting way more expensive. So there's only two ways. to have more money in your life. You can either make more or spend less. If you're not making more, you have to figure out how to spend less. That's it. So I own this bank. Do I have to fire anybody right now, Tom, or am I good? The annoying guy in your left. No, you got to get your marketing

people out there saying, hey, we're a great bank and maybe you proactively go out and grab those refis yourself. I'm going to fire them. Go ahead, I'm sorry. All right. Let's go. So anyways, that's a breakdown right there for you of what's going on with rates. An interesting story

that I do want to bring up. Dodge Ram, cancels all-electric pickup for U.S. emit slowing demand. So remember how everybody wanted to have EVs? I'm going to get EVs. I'm going to get EVs. I'm going to get EVs. I'm going to get EVs because, you know, I'm going to make sure, you know, the planet and all this stuff, right? Yes, I'm going to go get EVs. And then all of a sudden, dude, what's going on here? So Stalantis, which owns Dodge, they own a Jeep, RAM, and a bunch of other things,

has canceled plans to bring all electric pickup trucks to market. The latest product shake up after competitors' models failed to meet expectations, and Congress moved to eliminate tax credits for EV buyers. Antonio Filosa, who took the helm of the French-Italian American Auto conglomerate this year, is dialing back his predecessor, ambitious EV sales target, and prioritizing hybrids and gas-powered vehicles, seeking to stop a multi-year sale decline in North America, a key profit engine for the company.

The CEO is also taking advantage of the Trump administration pushed to rollback emission standards. That imposed major costs from penalties and credits in previous year. Tom, what is going on here with this? Well, we'll make it super, super simple. It says gas is very inexpensive right now. And it has been for we're not at all time. high on gas. Gas is actually a lighter percent of expense of the consumer wallet right

now. And so gas prices are lower, especially if you're not in states where they put a bunch of taxes on top of them and everything to pay for failed policies. California. And what's happening is now people are buying, you know, gas powered vehicles and also electric vehicles are losing their $7,500 discount that was being paid for by the taxpayers. And, you know, electricity, people are saying that it's getting more crowded at certain places to go charge your vehicle. And so people are saying, wow, where's all this real benefit in electric cars, Pat? And so people are saying, maybe I don't want an electric pickup. Maybe I'll get this pickup right over here that's gas powered, and gas isn't so expensive and everything.

So I'm going to do that. And that's what's going on. And the Ford F-150 Lightning, which if you read the car magazines, that was like a premier truck. It was like an electric truck done right. I'm not endorsing it. I'm just saying this is what auto analysts say Ford did a good job. But people are like, no, you know what? I'm going to go with the gas one because, you know, I'm going to lose my federal subsidy.

It's a pain in the neck to charge it. I've got to get charging at my home. And there's not any push. And guess what? The mandates are loosening up. the mandates are loosening up about it. And California can't build energy infrastructure, so guess what's happening to energy?

Electricity is actually getting more expensive. So all of that comes together and Dodge, like, you know what? Screw it. We're not making the pickup. You know what I would make a suggestion to do. It's a capitalist decision. It's not going to sell. But you know what I'd like to make a suggestion?
