Hello everybody and welcome.
The H.L. My Eagles podcast on a Thursday afternoon.
What a thumbnail from...
Big time producer.
Big time producer.
Lindsey.
Big time.
Live from the Xfinity studio and presented by Ashley.
Good thing you didn't say what you said before the show, E.J.
And I won't say it either.
Boolfe.
Fran Duffy.
E.J. Smith coming at you.
I got a preview of the Tennessee Titans.
The Lowly Tennessee Titans.
Week two of Swoopers.
who won last week?
What's going to happen?
Any fireworks?
But we've got to kick things off
with what's brewing.
Presented by Wawa
because we haven't talked on the show
since Tuesday, EJ.
Spend some time with the...
Formerly Novacare Complex yesterday.
Jefferson Health Complex.
But whatever, complex.
Who cares?
You just gave all the free pub to NovaCare.
Yeah, but they earned it.
They literally didn't earn it.
The Wawa Health Center.
I mean, now we're talking.
What's going on?
Yeah, a couple things.
You know, good day at the facility yesterday.
You know, I got a couple things.
I'm going to go against the grain here.
Usually I go inverted pyramid.
I tell you the biggest storylines at the top.
I'm going to give you what you need to know.
And then, you know, I'll open it up to the floor for one of the biggest stories of the week.
But first and foremost, Cooper de Gene and Jalen Carter were not at practice yesterday.
Cooper de Gene was listed with an abdomen and a calf injury.
I'd heard that he got dinged up multiple times in that game.
He said he suffered at least one of the injuries.
injuries tackling Stefan Diggs in the second quarter.
So yeah, he was not at practice.
Jalen Carter was out with a wrist injury as well.
We talked about it earlier in the week.
Jalen Carter played 94% of the snaps.
Are you about to ask me if he heard it blocking the game?
Oh, no, block kicks.
Entirely plausible.
I thought that watching it on TV.
That looks like it hurt, yeah.
Yeah, I could see it.
I'm not super concerned about either of them.
The Eagles will hit the practice field in about 20 minutes.
So if they are not at practice, I'll update us later in the show.
Next news story.
Hold on, very quick.
I'm sorry.
Yeah.
Not concerned at all?
I mean, it's not ideal.
It's not ideal he's hurt.
I meant more about whether or not he's going to play this week.
Okay.
Yeah.
I think he'll play.
But yeah, it's not ideal that he's hurt.
If he hurt it blocking the kick, though, that is different than if he got hurt playing
94% of the snaps.
Yeah.
I thought Vick's explanation for why Jalen Carter played so much earlier in the week was,
I kind of take him out his word.
It's like they were short drives in the first half.
It's not hard to play 90-something percent of the snaps if it's three plays.
you know, each series, and then you get a break.
Easier for me to say that than Jalen Carter,
but we also know he wants to be on the field.
Second storyline of the week that I wanted to hit on today is Zach Bonn,
getting NFC defensive player of the week.
It was funny hearing from Zach Bonn in the locker room.
He, I think you will agree, Bo.
He is a player with like a very, like, honest and refreshing perspective on most things.
And he almost seemed like, like,
sad about the fact that he had to talk about it so much.
Like, very, like, almost like,
just like almost afraid to say anything about it.
Like he's not really that interested in talking about how great he is.
And that is like that tracks with the conversations I've had with him in the past where he's way happier talking about other guys than he himself.
But I did find a quote that he gave about sort of like what's next for him to achieve in his career very interesting that I wanted to talk about.
He said, I'm personally at the top of my own list and I've already achieved everything I could have dreamed of.
everything else is just the cherry on top.
And then it's like, okay, so what motivates you?
And he goes, I'm competitive.
Like, I want to be the best.
But, you know, I think it's an interesting window into like an all pro linebacker
that probably didn't expect to ever be there.
Right.
But like what still drives you, it's being the best linebacker in the NFL.
He said that Fred Warner right now is a standard that he like grades everybody else off of.
I'm not sure that he doesn't believe he's as good as Fred Warner,
but I think he realized he has started in that.
I don't want to go too far down.
out in this. How do you, how do you differentiate him explaining that versus AJ post Super Bowl,
like, and what motivated him after, like, reaching the mountain top and being, like, do you view it
as, like, AJ wanted to prove, like, he is number one? Yeah, I don't think that Zach Bonn is
looking at the Eagles defense and wondering how it can be a vehicle for him being the best. You know,
I don't think he's not as much of, like, I want to put a stamp on being the best linebacker in the
NFL. I think he just wants to be that. It's a subtle thing. Yeah, right. I think for AJ,
it's probably a nature of the positions.
This is like the,
this is what's tricky about being an elite receiver is,
you know,
Zach Bond talked about the fact that this defense lets him play free
and how that's like a real fixture of a Vic Fangio defense.
Maybe if he was in a defense where he wasn't able to play free,
he would be more like AJ,
but I think it is probably just the nature of the two positions.
Yeah, I mean, I don't want to,
I don't want to be too unfair here,
but it feels to me like the Bond thing
it's coming more from being the best in service of the defense
as opposed to, as you said,
the offense servicing him become the best.
It argues that AJ wanted to be in service of the team too, but there were, being a receiver,
they're kind of that goes against each other at points.
So it's an interesting difference though.
All right.
So the big one, the big news of the week.
Obviously, Landon Dickerson on IR, what you can tell it's killing me not to do inverted pyramid here.
Yes.
You know, I'm a college professor.
You know, I teach journalism.
Inverted pyramid's important.
So Drew Kendall is who I expect to play.
and take a starting spot in place of Landon Dickerson.
That I feel good about.
What I am slightly less convicted in,
but it might surprise you where I'm leaning,
I think Drew Kendall's going to play center.
Really?
I think Drew Kendall's going to play center.
I think Cam Juergens will play left guard.
Really?
Wow.
Why do you think that?
I think Sean Mannion talked about getting the best five out there.
And I think this is dating back to things we've heard about Drew Kendall.
and how smart he is sorting things out pre-snap,
how he is able to read the game at a high level
for where he's at in his career.
I think that they're going to trust him
to be able to handle the calls more at center.
And I also think that if you're trying to spin it as the Eagles,
you could probably point to the fact that Cam Juergens
has NFL experience playing guard.
It was at right guard,
but still has NFL experience playing guard.
I can't tell you that that is the exact reasoning,
but it just isn't going away, is what I would say.
Like this idea that Kendall at center, Juergens at Guard is the best five.
Now tell us what Jalen Hertz said when he was asked about this yesterday.
Yeah, this is interesting.
All right.
So he had two things to say.
The first one we have a quote graphic for, Lindsay.
It's, uh, I look at it the same way I look at everything that we're going through right now.
It's all transition and it's all changing.
New voices, new pieces, new faces, and new spots and positions.
You focus on executing.
Focus on mastering what you're doing, trying to go out there and have a good practice.
Just trying to build that momentum and go out there and execute.
Now, the next thing that Jalen said, I didn't think lent itself to a quote graphic as much as we kind of reenacting it.
He was asked about, have you worked with Drew Kendall much at center?
And Jalen's answer was, I've been working with Cam.
When Cam has had his off days in camp, Drew steps in.
But yeah, Cam.
Which that answer does lead you to believe that it's going to be Cam Juergens at center.
Yeah.
Based off the fact that Jalen was forceful about that.
I'm not so sure.
I just, we've got to explain what's going on here.
Because if they make this change, that means that they're doing this change and making
Jalen play behind a center.
He's never played behind before.
Right.
They're making Cam Juergens play a position.
He's never played before.
He's played a little bit of right guard, but he certainly hasn't practiced at left
guard at all this year.
In service of what?
Just making Drew Kendall the guy who's.
Calling protections, pretty snap.
Yep.
It would be so,
it would be so much more turnkey
to just move Drew Kendall to left guard.
Yeah.
I think my read on it,
if they make that change,
is that, you know,
this is not,
this is not a tryout for Drew Kendall.
Like if Drew Kendall is at left guard
and Drew Kendall has a bad couple games,
Willie Lampkin is right behind him.
Right.
If they're making this change now,
it's like this is our offensive line
for the rest of the year.
Drew Kendall is our center.
Yeah.
And it's also, I mean,
obviously a shot of,
Cam Jergens bow.
Yeah, I mean, if they do this.
And again, I'm not sitting here telling you what the ex...
Let's say we fast forward.
Yeah.
And it's, you know, it's Drew Kendall at center,
Cam Juergens at left guard, and Nick Siriani's at the podium.
I'm not telling you what Nick's going to say.
I'm just telling you that it's not going away.
Like this idea that they might make a move on the offensive line.
So I think that's a good read for it, though, you know, that it's just the best five
they have for the rest of the season.
I also thought it was very noteworthy that Jalen talking about.
about Landon started with the fact that he's a force, you know, a powerful player,
but ended it by saying he's a great communicator at the line and a really smart player.
And this is something that you'll hear is that Landon does a lot of the pre-snap diagnosis.
When he was in there in the first place, he was really a big part of what they were doing.
Now maybe that shows you like they can do it from left card.
I know, that's what I was thinking.
Yeah.
Kendal just replaced that.
But I just think they might view that as their best five.
And it would make me think that Jurgens is not necessarily locked into that.
job. Yeah, I think that's probably a fair reading. Again, this is not me telling you what I would do.
I understand. This is me telling you what I think will happen. They're locked into camp for three more
years after this year. So like, that would be a tough pill to swallow to say like, all right, like,
he's not locked into. How do you feel about the prospect of him playing guard?
In this system, I think it can, I think it can work. It's when he first got inserted next to Jason
Kelsey. It was like to have the two guys this small was not ideal, uh, just as it would not be
ideal to have Juergens and Willie Lampkin next to each other, not ideal. Kendall is a little bit
bigger. And Cam is not like the smallest center in the world. I mean, he is a compact blocker,
but he's not like the smallest guy. So I think it can work. I think it could be okay.
I think the, I think the system of it all is, it's very, especially given the fact that when
they made, they were doing all the shuffling in the summer. Yeah. Anytime landed came
it was Kendall going in and left guard and that was that there was it wasn't it wasn't the whole point of that for this
right and then but so we would see Kendall at center but it was like oh that was with the entire group yeah
that's yeah it would be surprising if they went that way but i agree with your read i think it's the right
read that if kendall's in its center here in week two i think they're saying like that's this is our line
yeah and maybe his job is safer than jurgens's or just that don't expect land and back
I don't expect landing back, I think is exactly right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Joe 76 in the chat.
Ask me how many turkeys?
65 turkeys.
Wow.
Really?
Wow.
That shocks me.
65.
Flabbergasted.
And I would.
That'd be something.
It's crazy.
That'd be something.
Doesn't that strike you a little bit panicky?
Maybe it's the opposite of panicky.
Maybe it's thinking long term.
But if this is what they were going to do, they didn't want to test this once?
I mean, I guess what they would probably argue is that Kendall got plenty of work at center.
The biggest part of it is Jalen working with Kendall at center, especially because you are an under center operation now.
You know, Jaylon's sticking his head into a different area that he's in.
It's a little different for him, you know, as opposed to if it was just shotgun all the time.
There's an adjustment there.
But isn't that that helps explain Jalen's answer where he's making clear?
like I've only worked with Cam.
Like, I've really only worked with Cam this summer.
They've got to get very familiar this week.
If it's the direction they go.
I am 65% Drew Kendall at Center.
I can't believe.
And I will tell you that 24 hours ago,
I would have been like 40, 60 in the same way.
So I've moved.
All right.
Let's close the book on What's Brewing, presented by Wawa.
Super Chat to get to early on.
Richard Fitzwell.
Been a while, boys.
for Fran.
I'm curious if you thought
Geelan's
footwork and decisiveness
looked better in week one.
I do, yeah.
I thought that he was,
he just seemed very in control.
You know, there weren't,
look, not every,
and we actually didn't get into this
too much on Monday.
The pure dropback pass game
was pretty reminiscent
of years past.
But for like conceptually,
like a lot of like,
you know, a little bit more ISO ball,
you know, going back to last year,
that, you know, I would have come to expect, given the change in the scheme.
But within that, I didn't think Jalen, like, looked scattered.
Like, it wasn't a lot of, like, oh, man, like, he doesn't know where to go with the ball here.
And then he's kind of dropping his eyes and running around and it became a scramble drill.
We saw scrambles, obviously.
But a lot of that was, you know, by necessity as opposed to, like, Jalen, you know, forcing himself into those situations.
So a small sample, one week sample.
I'm excited to see it continue, but I thought it was a good sign.
I thought Jalen played well on Sunday.
I agree.
Good question.
Yeah.
I'm still thinking.
Well, yeah, it's also, it's a weird thing to do to Jalen in week two.
It is.
I'm not telling you it's not.
It's like we're starting the season on just people not be on the same page right away.
What are you doing?
All right.
Anyway, anything else is anything else from yesterday as the number here complex?
Big week for Britain Covey.
Yeah, activated to the active roster.
But early.
What else?
The new player representative with the NFLPA.
Oh, that's right.
I didn't see that.
Yeah.
I must have missed that.
Jordan Milata, I thought it had an interesting,
we'll just say like very human quote about.
In Milata.
About Landon Dickerson going on IR.
He said it was a little emotional.
That's my best friend.
Then again, it was a bittersweet thing.
At last, at least for him, he can spend time on his body now
and get that corrected because we'll probably need him down the stretch whenever he gets back.
But it was sad, missing my best friend already.
You know, the human side of football.
Like those guys have become very.
close playing alongside one another.
You know, I wondered about, like, Jordan Milata's reaction when all this happened on Monday.
Like, you know, it was probably a very tough thing for him to process.
Hmm.
If you're switching guys anyway, what'd you think about putting Steen at left guard and
Juergens at right guard?
When's the last time Steen hasn't played anything, any left guard?
So then you're moving...
I don't know.
I just...
Yeah.
This thing is very weird.
I can't believe we're in 65 jerkeys.
65's a lot.
I feel good about it though.
I feel good about 65.
Yeah, wow.
And like, let me be clear.
Like, 65 is me, it's not 99.
It's not me saying I think it's going to happen.
No, it's me saying I think it's going to happen.
Yes.
I'm not telling you like that I came out of locker.
You're not reporting that it's happening.
Yeah, I'm not, I didn't come out of the locker room yesterday
saying this is happening 100%.
I think it's more likely that it's Kendall at center at this point.
Gotcha.
Anything else from Jalen yesterday?
Um, we did, we did as a collective,
dropped the ball and not ask him about Jeffrey Simmons.
One of those things where it's like...
You know one wants to be the guy to ask him that question?
Well, it's not even that.
I just knew if you did ask him, like, he's not going to say much.
He'll say something on after the game if it goes well.
Yes.
But he's not going to say anything.
He's just going to say that that's a defense that flies around.
That's like Jalen's number one thing.
Whenever he talks about the opposing.
Well, he had mentioned Jeffrey Simmons specifically in his answer about the Titans.
He probably, I don't think he probably knew about the quote by the time he went to the podium.
Oh, he had to.
You're kidding me.
You think that they...
You think that they...
Because he absolutely let him.
He got asked about it and didn't know about it.
He would have been.
Yes.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
That's a fair point.
Okay.
Let's take our break.
We'll come back.
We'll get into the Tennessee Titans with Fran Duffy on the other side.

The 0-1-1. Tennessee Titans.
What if only two teams.
Big cheer from Lindsay.
That's great.
One of only two teams in the NFL.
Whose name begins with a colloquial term for a bodypart on a human being.
Tell us about the Tennessee Titans.
I mean, where do I go from there?
Cleveland Browns being the other, of course, the brow.
Is that the, like, medical definition of that term?
I said colloquial, not.
Okay, yeah, that's fair.
That was a tough watch.
Watch, particularly the Titans offense was a tough watch.
And I could not help but think about, but what if scenario,
what if the Eagles had hired Brian Daebel as the office coordinator,
which a lot of the reporting was pointing to.
Let me just read you right from my notes here.
Ideologically, Brian Daibel is a game plan specific coach,
wants to prey on specific defenders and kind of put them in run past conflict.
That's kind of one of his strengths he's known for in coaching circles.
Now, imagine all the things we hated conceptually about the Eagles offense in years past.
No real identity, a ton of iso ball, very predictable, low probability throws, et cetera.
But with way worse talent across the board at every single position and way less precision,
way less focus in the details.
A little bit of this, a little bit of that, nothing that they can hang their hat on.
This first game, this first tape, you had like five or six plays where receivers are
four yards apart, five yards apart
like guys like literally standing together
running the same route right next to each other.
You had guys running into each other
at the line of scrimmage. You had
multiple blown assignments and pass
protection, a handful of plays where
the QB's feet were not tied with the routes
at the top of the drop. Like it was a mess.
It was a mess. So
yeah, could not help but think about what if
they had hired Brian Daibble because
it would have leaned into a lot of the things that we
have discussed to add length
previously of this offense.
Yeah, I don't know how interested the Eagles actually were
in hiring Brian Deaville or how close that was to happening.
My sense is it was never going to be a good match
personality-wise with any of the stakeholders.
But yeah, this is a nice...
At least you're not...
At least with Mannion, you're thinking like,
this is going to grow.
Yes.
I mean, now this is their first game.
First game.
They're going to get the details better.
but yeah, I don't like a Brian DeBal offense.
No, it was a disaster.
That was a really tough watch against the Jets.
And it made me feel for like Cam Ward.
And I'm like, because Cam Ward didn't play well either.
But I'm looking at this and I'm like, I don't know, I don't know where he's supposed to go.
The protection is a major issue.
We'll talk about the offensive line.
The offensive line is a concern.
They can't run the ball with like, they had like, it was pretty high from like a success rate standpoint.
But they, I think Tony Pollard had like 11 carries in the day.
So it's not like, oh, yeah, they really.
leaned into it.
The way that they want to be able to run,
like this has been a gap scheme oriented operation,
like under Brian Daiblo,
and they brought over like three or four staff members
from the Giants with him to be on that offensive.
Along with half the roster.
Yes, right, exactly.
Wondell Robinson says that a bunch of guys where I'm like,
yep, played for Daiblo in New York,
played for Salah in New York, played for Daiblo in New York,
just sort of littered throughout this depth chart.
It's, it was a tough one.
That's brutal.
Okay.
What are they trying?
I mean, you described it, but.
Like what are they going to try to do to this Eagles defense?
What they're going to try to do, my guess,
I think they want to run the ball a little bit better
than they did last week, number one.
Number two, one of the things they did a decent job of,
and it's actually what, honestly, it marries up with the thing I led off with,
what's considered a strength for Brian Dable's game
is like being able to put guys to run past conflict.
A lot of their play action concepts,
especially attacking the intermediate area of the field.
They ran a handful in this game with guys
leaving the backfield,
Pollard on a sail route.
You had tight ends on like delayed routes,
you know, out of the backfield.
They've done some things like that
with Wondell Robinson in the past.
Robinson had a good game against the Eagles
in that Thursday night loss last year
off similar types of concepts.
Play action, attack the intermediate area,
try and put those guys in conflict.
I think that's going to be what they try and do.
Then you lean into Cam Ward.
He's going to go big game hunting.
He's going to try and attack downfield.
They don't necessarily have like the horses to do that.
Ridley and,
Carnell Tate are there two starting outside receivers.
And both guys have good size.
They're technically proficient, like good route runners, but not blazers.
Not guys that are you're, oh, man, like that, you know, is, uh, is Q going to be able
to keep up with them stride for stride?
You're not necessarily worried about that with these two guys, but, um, yeah, I think that's
what they will try to do.
We'll see if, uh, you know, Vic Fangio is able to put Cam Ward in a blender, um,
like, from a mental standpoint, that would be what my expectations are going into this
one.
Is there, is there any, uh, talent?
that you are worried about.
On offense?
Yeah, look, the receivers are skilled players, right?
So, like, you go to Tate, Ridley, Robinson.
I mentioned, like, Tate and Ridley are kind of cut from the same cloth,
where they both have, you know, solid size,
Ridley is 6-1-190.
Tate is 6-1-192.
And both guys, like I said,
are good route runners, reliable at the catch point,
can attack you at all three levels.
They're just not, like, A-plus physical talents.
Wondell Robinson, we know, like,
that kind of what the deal is with him.
We've seen him enough in New York is that he's undersized.
He's 5-8-185, more of a traditional slot guy, a lot of like screens and RPO's,
all the easy button stuff.
And then off-play action, they're going to try and get him in the middle of the field
and attack the lineback, attack Cooper de Gene.
So that would be the thought there with Wondell.
And they might look at some of the things that Washington had success with last week
and say, can we mirror some of that?
That's kind of the book on day.
It was like, what do the other team do?
How can we then try and push those same buttons and kind of, you know,
that against them. So that would be my guess.
At tight end, you know, we'll see them go with 12 personnel, a decent bit.
Gunner Helm is the starter.
He's the second year tight end, fourth round pick last year out of Texas.
Decent, decent size, not a great athlete, can block a little bit, but not going to overwhelm you.
Daniel Bellinger, another former giant, he's kind of a combo player underneath catches,
but not going to be a game breaker in the open field as a pass catcher.
He's fine as a blocker, but not overwhelming, like dominant point.
of attack, but just a solid, competent combo player.
What is the face you're making?
You're going to talk about the Titans' tight ends, and you're not going to mention
Kyle and Granson?
So I mentioned it as a Kyle and Granson revenge game.
Yeah.
And he's like, oh, I always loved Kyle and was always a big fan of Kind of Grantson.
I was always a big fan of Kind of Grantson.
I looked at my text and I was like, you're gaslighting me right now.
We do a show every single day.
He was on the team the whole season last year.
I like Kyle and Granson.
We did a show's five days a week, six days a week last year.
You did not mention a show.
his name once. Yes, I did. Don't do not do that. I 100%. Not one time.
Now let me clarify. Let me make one thing clear. These were internal thoughts only.
65% sure. That's not a bad, not a bad impersonation. I like Kyle and Grantson. The guy.
the player, you know, he's kind of in the middle of the spectrum of like the dirty work guys who
don't have the physical traits and the physical traits guys. But no, I liked Kylin Grantson in the
locker room. So yeah. I've definitely talked about.
and Grants on this show. He gave me some good stuff last year. Okay. Well, yeah, he's their third time.
I think he played like three. Like that. He played like three or four snaps on Sunday. So I'm not
expecting too much there from Grantson. Before I derailed you with the Kyle and Grantson thing,
do you think that the Wondell Robinson like matchup with Cooper to Gene based off the last week,
now that we know that he's dealing with injury? I just, I look back. I looked back and it's not like
Wondell Robinson had like great success against Cooper to Gene in the past, but he is like the
type of slot receiver that Cooper DeGine says gives him more trouble.
So I wanted to know if you have any concern about that match.
I think in certain spots they could try and pull that lever and I think that might come
through through them in that.
I'm not going into it like, oh man, like this is going to be an issue.
But it's kind of like what we saw against Washington where, you know, give up that touchdown
to Diggs.
You know, there was a well-designed play in the red zone.
It was a great route from a technically savvy player.
And Wondell could do some of those same things.
offensive line is a major concern for this team.
Which is embarrassing given the picks they've used.
Well, that would be exactly right.
So Dan Moore Jr., they signed over from Pittsburgh, gave him a ton of money.
Clearly not worth the contract he got, but he's like a, I don't know, my guess is there's 32 starting left tackles in football.
He's probably like 28th.
I was just going to guess 20th.
Something like that.
He's not a good player.
better in the run, better in the run game than in the past game.
You can get him in past protection.
To me, like Jaylux Hunt, Dan Moore is a good, that's a good match up there.
Pierce Kronoski is the left guard.
They gave him a boatload of money this past summer.
Payton him as one of the best guards of football.
It might be the number one guard contract in football.
He's a fine player.
Not the, like, to me, like, Cosmy is a better player.
And, you know, the, you saw Cosby last week.
I think Scrantz is a good player.
I don't think that he's quite to that level.
Austin Schlotman came over from New York.
He played as the backup last year for Dable
and for Carmen Bracillo in New York.
I don't know that he's a starting caliber center personally.
They're starting a rookie day three pick
and Fernando Carmona Jr. from Arkansas,
6'5, over 315 pounds,
kind of heavy-footed,
not super powerful, not a great athlete.
That's a matchup I think you can take advantage of.
And then J.C. Latham is the right tag.
He's tackled former top 10 pick out of Alabama.
He's had ups and downs.
You can get him more in Passpro than you can in the run game.
He's like big, powerful point of attack type of player.
But you can get after him in Passpro a little bit.
And he's like I said, he's had like lapses and technique and concentration and things
like that.
I thought he was solid this past week against the Jets, but you can get after him too.
To me, like the big matchups that you're circling.
If you're an Eagles fan, you're the Eagles defensive line, left tackle, center, right
guard.
Those are the weak points you're trying to attack here in this group.
So that's Jalen Carter, Jalick's Hunt, Jordan Davis, more Ojamo, like you feel good about those guys going into this game.
Let's see if Jalen Carter can have a bounce back if he gets in the field.
Yeah, again, we'll see.
Eagles, they might have already been on the practice.
Maybe on the other side, I'll give you an update.
No, you're the best host on the city.
You can't let me take over.
All right, on the other side, we'll get in to the other side of the ball here, the matchup.
120 seconds. We'll be right back.
Elkins Chevrolet.
I'm just playing.
It's Chevrolet.
And we're talking about our friends at Elkins,
three brothers, real brothers, local guys.
And right now, they're going all in.
Check out their inventory of Chevy trucks and SUVs,
the ones people actually want,

We're talking Silverado.
We're talking Equinox.
We're talking tracks.
We're talking Trailblazer.
If it's on your list, they have it, and they're going fast.
So if you've been waiting, stop waiting.
Don't be like the Eagles offense and let the play clock get down to two seconds before snapping the ball.
No, get your butt on over to Elkins Chevy because once these bad boys are gone, they're gone for good.
And the difference in Elkins, it's not like those other dealerships.
There's no run around.
There's no back and forth.
There's no games.

And we're back from the
HACO Eagles podcast.
And as promised, I can tell you
per our friends, Dave Zangero,
and Martin Frank, Jalen Carter,
and Cooper DeGene at practice today.
We will see.
Maybe there'll be limited participants today,
but I'd say both of them are on track to play
based off of that.
Okay.
I didn't tell you what happened to me yesterday, Fran.
What's that?
So, leave the studio.
Okay.
Go to the facility.
Got a little extra time on my hands.
Could you maybe get a couple errands done that I've been meaning to do?
You got that, you know, that serious XM when you get the car and you get the good deal, but then it rolls over.
Right.
Yep.
And it gets, you know, like quintuples in price.
You've had this car for a while.
You've been extending this deal.
No, I was got a new car.
No.
A little bit over a year, a little bit over here.
Before Lee was born, yeah.
So it was a one year, one year.
One year deal.
Oh.
Yeah.
So now it's been like, it's got like three months where I've, I've seen it bump up from
whatever it was like $6 to $28 or something like that.
Like, I got to get a coat.
I got to go through the room roll of canceling this.
Get on the phone.
It's, it's me, your, your AI assistant.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
Here we go.
Straight to it.
And you're like, I see you're calling from me.
your whatever car.
And like cancel.
Please like one cancel my subscription.
Oh,
well, before you cancel, I can drop your price down.
And I was like, like, stop flirting with me.
Like, cancel the account or let me talk to a real person, please.
And just like, okay, I'll transfer to a real person.
So then I'm on the phone with the call center.
And, you know, it's not an efficient conversation, but at least I'm helping somebody
keep a job.
And like, okay, like, I'm sorry.
it's not that this price is not worth it to me
you know I don't use the service
that often whatever like please just
cancel it's like oh right let me see what I can do
and we're going to this sitting at the light
on Columbus Boulevard
Wham! Rear ended
Oh no!
And I'm like what is going on?
I get out of the car like
I mean I was sitting in a stoplight
and I go to the guy
I'm like what happened?
He's like
I fell asleep
clearly
drunk. This guy.
Mind you, 3.30 in the afternoon.
Yeah. I'm like,
oh, God. Like, this is
like such a pathetic sight.
Like, this is ridiculous. We're in the middle lane.
Like, all right, what are I going to do? I'm like, all right, I'm going to
pull over here. The car is fine.
It's like there's some scratches on the bumper.
The car is fine. He was
not going that fast.
Pull over.
He drives away. And I should have.
And I'm so mad at myself for not just
looking at his license plate. I didn't take
a picture of his license, but or anything, that was stupid, because now this guy's back on the road.
Sure.
Meanwhile, the call center woman's like, are you okay?
See, the AI.
You stayed there the whole time.
See, I were, when you say you get rear-ended, I thought this was a, what was the name of that movie that came out?
Like, I thought it was, oh, the AI from a different car, like, it was a Waymo.
Well, that's the thing.
Listen, they might tell you that, you know what?
If that, if that guy had a Waymo, he wouldn't, he wouldn't be putting people in danger.
Or no, well, no, the Waymo, you hung up on the AI.
So the AI took retaliation.
It's like, oh, you're going to hang on me.
I'll get re-read you.
Yeah.
Given some of the advancements recently, wouldn't put it past them.
No.
Can I, since we're doing, I mean, your story is way more serious than mine.
I have two things I wanted to talk about on the show that are not football.
Have you, either of you?
You guys definitely haven't, but somebody in the chat will have heard of this band.
It's Anjin de Paltween.
How do?
How do what the pronoun?
There's a differentiation there. You want to try it?
Innsigne de Patrine.
I'm not doing it.
If anybody out there is familiar with them, let me know.
They went viral earlier this year and I just discovered them.
Like last night, they wear these really creepy costumes.
But like the music is very odd, like very strange, but good.
So that's my plug for this band.
You got to check them out.
A natural follow up to the rear-round conversation.
Well, you're talking about serious and I was thinking about it.
and I was thinking about it.
And I, for the record, he told me the story yesterday.
Otherwise, I would have been more concerned as I was the first time you told me the story about if you were okay.
You said there were two things.
What was the other thing?
The other thing is Slow Horses is back on TV.
Oh my God.
Excellent.
Excellent stuff.
And Slow Horses is special because unlike every other show, it's like, it comes out like every nine months.
Right.
Like they just got renewed for not the next season, but the season after.
Special stuff.
I thought you were talking about why I was running late to the studio today.
I still want to know what you got to do to get one of those.
those.
Funeral procession with the horse carriage leading the way.
Yeah, chariot funeral procession?
Yeah.
I mean, it must have been somebody special.
I have not watched slow horses, though I've heard it's good.
You would love it.
Yeah, very good.
Vengeable too.
Time for the right people presented by our friends in True Mark.
Talk about the Tennessee Titans defense.
Another potential, what if?
If the old said Keldrick Falk instead of Mikhail Lever.
Well, Falk is currently fourth in the rotation.
They do rotate guys throw on that defensive line.
They like to put
Robert Salah.
That's like solid.
What does Bobby's salad want to do?
Look, you kind of,
we know what the identity of this defense is.
It is four-man rush,
attack upfield,
a lot of stunts,
not many blitzes,
heavy dose of zone coverage behind it,
primarily cover three and cover four.
Robert Salas consistently been
one of the highest in the league
and using quarters coverage.
That's basically what we saw from this past week.
It's a lot of three,
a lot of four,
not much blitz at all.
They're going to run.
rotate those defensive line and through.
I do think from a personnel standpoint,
the defensive line is the best part of this defense.
That said, they didn't really play that way this past week
against the Jets.
They did not generate the amount of pressure
against Gino Smith that I would have expected.
But, Jeffers Simmons is one of the best in the league
of what he does.
We can talk about Jeffrey Simmons a little bit.
John Franklin Myers, they brought in in Free Agency.
He played for Sala with the Jets.
He knows what he can do.
He's in Nickel.
He's inside next to his.
Simmons when they go to their base defense with three linebackers in the field, he kicks out
the defensive end. I would expect that we'll see a decent amount of JFM at defensive end.
Jermaine Johnson also played for solid with the Jets. He's the other starter. He's the lone
like true like edge rusher that stays on the field in base.
He came against the Eagles and that Jets win a couple of years ago. That's right. Yeah, the interception.
Yeah. That's right. Yeah. Johnson's a good player. He's he's six five. He's six five,
254 pounds, athletic.
You never, injuries have been a part of this,
but like hasn't really hit like the full ceiling,
you know,
the fully realized version of him.
But, you know,
he's got a lot of ability.
Former Temple player,
Jacob Martin is the other starter there off the edge.
But Solomon Thomas,
Jordan Elliott,
these are guys that have played for Sala in the past.
Keldrick Falk,
the fourth edge rusher played a handful of snaps,
you know,
primarily off defensive end,
hasn't kicked inside yet all that often.
But that would be something I would expect to see with this,
with him moving forward.
What are they doing?
I think,
I think they're kind of,
of easing them in.
Okay.
It's kind of the sense I'm getting.
So I would expect that he'll be a,
if we were playing this game in week 13,
I think it would be,
we'd be talking about Falk a little bit more
than we're talking about in week two.
Because it looks like that's what they were trying to do
with most of their rookies,
you know, so far.
At linebacker,
they've got Cordell,
sorry,
they've got Cody Barton,
the one start of veteran guy,
every down player for them.
Cedricer Gray is their number one linebacker
missed last week due to injury.
So they started the rookie second round pick,
Anthony Hill Jr., also a former Texas product.
So Anthony Hill Jr. got the start last week.
If Cedric Gray plays, that does give them a nice formidable duo there with he and Barton.
That's a competent pairing.
They spent a lot of money on the secondary.
They went out and signed Alante Taylor, my guy from the New Orleans Saints.
Our guy has an inside.
Well, let's not get crazy.
Inside out, you've got Kylan Grantson.
I've got Alonet Taylor.
Alante Taylor is a good player, but not like, you know, he's a good player, but not, oh, man.
they got to stay away from Alante Taylor this week.
Cardell Flott played for Daibald in New York,
so they brought him over.
So those are the two starting outside corners.
It's a fine defense,
but it's nothing like you're like, oh, man, you know.
Well, and it is also contrary to last week
and the problem of what are we going to even face,
you know what to expect is.
No question.
Right?
Absolutely.
Now, the interesting part of the subtext there is,
you know, Robert Sala knows that.
to offense like inside and out in terms of going up against it every day with shania but he he is
actually when they hired dable one of the big questions he was asked right away in the opening press
conference was like oh like you didn't bring anybody with you from san francisco or guys he's worked
with in the past when he got hired in new york he brought in mike like lefleur who's from that tree
and he said honestly 90% of the teams in the league are running this offense and i wanted to go i wanted
to zig while everyone else is zagging essentially uh i know this offense inside and out and i think
there's benefit to running something different that teams have to prepare for.
All that to say, he knows this offense inside now.
So I think that that's definitely advantageous.
What do the Eagles do to kind of combat that?
I think is interesting.
I have just a general opinion that Bobby Sala is as overrated a defensive mind as
in recent years.
I got no objection there.
I was going to ask Fran about the Eagles, do you think based off of the fact
like the Jets had all these wacky personnel groupings
and they were in heavy a lot during the game.
I'm guessing that the Titans are a team
that would prefer to be a nickel.
And do you think the Eagles will try to get them in base
more often like the Jets did?
I think the Eagles will probably play more
multiple tight end sets this week than they did last week.
I do think that that was probably more a function
of like the opponent and the game plan,
going in and saying like,
all right, if you're looking at Washington,
it stands the reason that their best 11 defensively
is with their three linebackers,
Lou Vu, Leo, and Sonny Stiles on the field.
opposed to getting into nickel with Rizuoglis out there.
So it's all right, maybe we'll lean more into 11, whereas this week, I think you go back
the other way.
Yeah, the Jets through, I mean, they had sets where it was five tight end.
I think I sent you one because I, the listeners will know I love Kenyan Sadiq.
They lined them up in the backfield a couple of times.
The Eagles would be so cool.
They'd be so cool if they had Kenyon Sadiq on the team right now.
I don't know if they'd be so cool.
They would be.
They would be so cool.
One thing that's interesting, the offensive coordinator for the Jets, is Frank Reich.
I wonder if next to your own, maybe, you know, send a couple texts over to Frank.
Hey, like, what did you say?
You know, what are some of the things that you guys did that you found that worked out well?
Is there something you left on the cutting room floor that maybe we could use?
You know what Frank Gregg's going to say, oh, you guys got that Eli Stowers kid, right?
Line him up in the backfield like we did with Kenyon Zadik, and then it's going to be awkward on the phone.
Yeah, that's, I think that, look,
Let's go, going to the Jeffrey Simmons aspect of things, right?
This is what, I'm sure Sala preached this to the defense this week.
And Simmons is kind of repeating that because Sala just did this to Jalen Hertz in January in terms of, hey, like, we're going to keep them in the pocket.
We're going to for, I think if the Eagles are able to, like, stay ahead of the sticks and, you know, really kind of run the offense the way that we imagine that they want to.
I think that they should be able to put up numbers against them.
close the book on the right people
presented by a true mark
just thinking about draft picks
and the offensive line
anything else you could tell me
oh yeah we can do this
so the uh
thinking about I was actually
just because of the issues with the Eagles
offensive line this week I've actually spent a decent amount of time
watching a couple guards this week
and so I thought you know what
if we're having this conversation big picture
about 65 turkeys
could be 65 turkeys on
on Drew Kendall lining up at center.
I thought, let's take a look at the draft guide real quick
and become a diehard and you can get access
to all of these players.
But let's take a look at the draft guide
and see who are some offensive linemen
that might catch your eye a little bit.
So Anthony Knapp from Notre Dame
is the guy that's played three years
for the fighting Irish, two years at left tackle.
This year moved into left guard.
Watch some film of him over the last couple of weeks.
He's a good player, really, really tough and physical,
maybe not an A-plus athlete,
but there's a lot to like there.
with Anthony Knapp.
So he would be a player that I think could go middle of the first round, end of first
round.
So I think he could be very much like kind of in that Eagles range, depending on how this
season goes.
You go back into the big board.
You scroll down.
You're sorting by position.
Who are some other like tackle guard prospects that also could fit the bill?
Let's take a look at Indiana left tackle Carter Smith.
A lot of people feel like he could slide inside, especially in a scheme like this.
And I think I actually mentioned this in the guide is that while he's not like a biggest
athlete, the most powerful, he really fits well for kind of like a zone blocking system.
So I think Carter Smith would make some sense here for the Philadelphia Eagles.
And this is a guy that I think is probably like in that day two range.
So that would be someone to keep an eye on for the Eagles.
If you're doing these mock drafts and these mock draft simulators,
stay tuned for that here with the All-City Network as well.
Then a player that I just did last night.
And Bo, I'm scared for you to know about this guy.
His name is Cade Piper.
All right.
Two-year starter at right guard.
The Pied Piper.
Here's what I will say.
He is an elite athlete.
like one of the most athletic offensive lineman I've ever evaluated.
Really?
Yeah, he is like a truly unique physical specimen.
He's in Bruce Feldman's Freak List.
This is a player that we see like a lot of the numbers that have come through with him
from a test score standpoint.
Just ridiculous.
And Greg Johnson's another player as well who actually finished the write-up on,
but big physical kind of built like Landon Dickerson.
But going back to Peepers, like some of the numbers that are in the freak list
that are available in the draft guide as well.
10-yard split, short shuttle,
like vertical jump,
broad jump,
the best of any interior linemen drafted
in the last decade,
like if those come to,
and Iowa has usually been pretty reliable
in years past in the freak list.
So, and the film backs it up.
He's like a freaky athlete.
So he would be someone I think is like,
how he coded,
fits the scheme.
Kate Peepers,
name that,
you know,
keep in mind.
I know that you won't forget about them.
For the sake of the show.
I guess,
you know what,
fine,
it'd be great for content
if they draft.
him.
All right.
Bring on the peeper.

Yeah, babe-B-B-B-B-H-H-O-E-Gos podcast,
Bo, Fran, and E-J.
You have something to want to play for us?
Yeah, I want you guys to live react to a video
that just came out from my former colleague,
Jeff McLean.
He's at practice.
Jay Mac.
I don't think anybody calls him back.
Mackay.
You can be the first.
Pave McLean.
So what do you guys notice about this video?
You got
Cam Jorgant's the center
and then who's next to him at left guard
Fred Johnson
Fred Johnson's at left guard
Jordan Maillata at left tackle
and then Drew Kendall is like the sixth offensive
lineman on the left
so I would say that this is a classic case
of Eagles obfuscation
Yes
correct
I just thought it was funny
you know it's a real time update
again shout out to Jeff McLean
for the update there.
Yeah, I mean,
the,
do you think that
the time they're spending
trying to hide
what the lineup is going to be
is worth it
relative to what they could be
spending that time on otherwise?
Versus if they just came out
and said,
this is our offensive line this week.
I think that...
Is Jeffrey Simmons shaking in his boots
because he doesn't know
if he's going to face Juergens or Kendall yet?
This is a very next series
or anything to want to hide every possible thing you can.
And I think the Eagles do, I mean the Kevin Petullo anecdote from Jeff Halfley before the
season about how the Eagles got the Packers like entire half their blitz package just from
training camp videos that fans posted, they'd look for these advantages so they don't give
these advantages to other teams.
I think that the lack of transparency can sometimes be frustrating for fans.
And I agree.
But, you know, like yesterday we weren't out there for very long.
My guess was because they didn't want to show very much.
And when we were out there,
I mean, it's not like they're the first team
that ever has done something like this.
But yeah, they definitely think
that there's an advantage to be gained
by not giving this information out.
But either of you guys do anything
center related in Swooper?
Oh, shoot.
I did.
And now you guys are going to claim
that I've got like outside info.
Lindsay can timestamp this for me.
I sent this yesterday before locker room
before everything.
It doesn't matter.
Yes, it does because I've taken in new information since then.
So he's so sneaky.
I'll recuse myself from it.
I won't, I won't bid on it.
How about that?
All right.
Oh, never mind.
I'll save the conversation for then.
I will say, I just realize that.
Kendall at center is easier to hide from Jeffrey Simmons than if he were at left guard.
I think you can better isolate a guard one-on-one that you can better than isolate a center.
You can isolate a center one-on-one, but the opportunities to do that are,
fewer and further between than they are with
So you're just throwing Jurgens
completely to the wolves that...
Well, it's just like...
He's not ready for that either.
Well, you might say that he's more equipped
than just throwing the second year guy in making his first
real NFL action.
Yeah.
Okay.
And there was one other thing before we got to Swooper.
Am I wrong?
Oh, some Super Chats.
Yes.
Swoopers chats.
Swooners chats.
Dinkleberg.
Dink.
The Dink man.
Nice generous donation says.
Kendall at Center and Jurgents to left guard
makes more sense when you
recall that this is the same team that's submarine their quarterback
debt this off season.
Just kidding, it actually makes zero sense.
That's what was the other thing I said.
It's possible that, you know, people were wondering what they were going to say in the
locker room.
Is Drew kind of going to talk?
Is he going to say anything?
It's like, maybe he's just going to say he split reps with Andy Dalton.
Although Willie Lampkin did say, like, we'll find out the same time you all do,
which I didn't believe that one.
Like, I think you guys will know.
Do you guys feel like QB2 is like done and dusted?
Like, uh, I hope so.
No, it's never over.
Like, uh, it's never open.
I hope so.
Nick said that Andy won the job.
Right, won the job in camp, yes.
Which is hard to believe if they split reps.
Right.
I don't know, man.
The dumbest thing that's ever happened.
And I've lived through the left guard rotation.
Lawrence Deacons with a super chat.
Long time listeners since B-Dy.
Thanks for all the pods and laughs over the years.
The parasycial relationship is real.
Hope to see y'all in London in October.
Oh, Lawrence.
You will not see me in London.
I think there's a chance we're going to have a little something, something happening.
Oh, something, something.
Yeah, maybe me and Cuzz with a little meetup.
Putting it out into the universe.
How many turkeys you putting on that?
66.
I put more turkeys on that one, actually.
So let us know if you're going to be in London.
Reach out.
That's true.
Kendall's number.
CDP.
Do the offensive players look excited to go to work this week?
They didn't last year.
I mean, yeah.
I don't know if they didn't.
Yeah, they seem.
The vibes around the team were fine, you know?
Yeah.
I do think they're better than they were last year.
Have to be.
Yeah.
But, I mean, I can't speak for those guys.
Although, do you want to talk about the Hollywood Brown thing?
Yeah, we can.
So it's kind of a little bit interesting.
Yeah, he played zero snaps.
This is another, well, not a former colleague of mine,
but at my former employer,
Ryan Novisinski, he's how it's pronounced.
He talked to Hollywood Brown yesterday,
and Hollywood Brown said that he was a little surprised.
He didn't play a single snap on offense in the season opener.
And the question was apparently framed,
like, does it make you feel better that Nick said,
like, you'll be featured more moving forward?
And he's like, no, not really.
That's a great answer.
Yeah.
I don't know how you're getting him more involved.
Yeah, that's why, I mean,
he's like, he's the fourth receiver.
He's really probably the fifth receiver.
Yeah.
But I don't know.
I wasn't surprised he didn't play that much.
I was surprised maybe that they were using Mackay Lemon in that like swing pass roll
because that does feel more like something you would do with Hollywood Brown.
But, I mean, he didn't have a great camp.
I think most of us had him on the 53-man roster by virtue of the guarantees
that he has in his contract.
But yeah, I don't think.
suspect that he'll have a major role in this offense.
Now, speaking of him being wide receiver four, wide receiver five, we got some games.
People know, we have not scored turkeys to training camp yet.
And there are two positions that have not yet been answered that we'll need to find the answer
to.
We will get one this weekend in interior offensive line four.
So if Drew Kendall does indeed get to start, we'll dole out those turkeys appropriately.
The only position we don't have an answer on yet is offensive.
tackle three.
Because they've both been active,
neither of them has been called in yet.
That will determine it right now.
E.J. has a scant lead.
But it's not over yet.
So I just need Markell Bell
to be the third tackle probably.
Okay.
Who could possibly know?
Not me.
All right.
Everybody ready for Swooper.
Let's do it.
Ready as I'll ever be.
Hit it, Lindsay.
Time to start Swooper.
Oh.
This is a bidding game.
There will be 12 items.
And I blew turkeys in that one, which then affected me the next.
What?
I did get it.
And there you go.
I need help.
Is anyone else as excited as I am?
There's like one item a week where you just sound so like smug and sure of yourself.
Unbelievable loss for me.
Although I'm feeling good because the vapor is coming off this thing.
Maybe this is what you need to turn around.
on the swooper, yeah.
It's a backup.
Oh, jeez.
James.
Okay.
I don't think you know, you don't get...
You think it's a real...
No, no, no, no.
No, no.
The reason...
Sold.
Wouldn't be swooper
if I got the order right
the entire time.
Unbelievable.
Such good stuff.
What is Swooper, you ask,
if you're new to the show,
if you're a Titans troll in the chat
who's thinking, wait a second.
I came here to troll,
but I've been here the whole time.
It's a pretty good show.
pretty fun.
What's the deal?
Well, we've got 12 items
that we're going to bid on
that we're each going to open up to the bidding.
If those items hit,
you get a point.
Whoever gets the most points each week's
gets a full point
and whoever has the most points
at the season
at the season's conclusion
wins the game.
Wow.
What hell was that?
I am the defending two-time champion.
Lindsay, I should have 38 turkeys
instead of 28.
be. Let's come in and what we're doing here.
Last week.
What the hell?
When it comes to the turkey math,
we got to get it right.
I had
one, two or three of these things happen.
Commanders, linebacker is offside.
Darius Cooper has a catch. A kicker, punt hits the upright.
Saquan has a catch with at least eight air yards
and jailing throws an interception. Did not happen.
Tim Settle does not record an official
sat on defense, did not happen.
Devante Smith leads both teams in receiving yards.
Did not happen. E.J.
six items. Jalen Hertz scores a rushing touchdown.
Did not happen.
Cole Payton is the only quarterback on the inactive list.
Insider trading did not work.
Cheaters do not prosper.
Jalen Hertz has over 100 passing yards off play action.
Did not happen.
Jalen Hertz sets new career highs in both under center completion and under center
attempts. It did not happen.
The Eagles win while allowing fewer points than the number of items for which this item is
sold, which was nine, did not happen.
The record for longest field goal in the NFL is broken this week.
This is left over from the 2025 season.
He gets to keep this in perpetuity.
Did not happen.
Fran, an eagle records exactly as many catches as the number of turkeys for which this item
is sold did not happen.
The Eagles have 20 plus yard completions from under center that more of those than three
and outs on offense did not happen.
Willie Lampkin plays at least three offensive snaps did not happen.
and the yards from scrimmage
for all non-divante Sequin Jalen Eagles
is greater than the number of times
EJ uses the in the postgame story
find out if it happened in
overtime.
Supertime.
It did happen.
Fran took home the win last week.
Did you think about throwing in some thuds?
I'll be honest with you.
When I posted that,
when I finished that story at like 1 a.m.,
I was not thinking about any chicanery.
Okay.
But I did think about adding it after the fact.
But I didn't really feel like having controversy this early in the competition.
I did print it.
Yeah, but like, were you going to count every single one?
You're damn right.
Well, no, I was able to count it digitally.
And then I printed it.
So then I was like, all right, here.
I know what this was when I counted it.
And then if, you know, if it was bought to my attention later,
yeah, have anything changed?
I had it and I would go back and do the counting fully.
I would do the manual count.
I mean, what if I changed it last night and printing?
it out a different copy.
I would not have been technically the post game story, I think, is when you file it,
unfortunately.
It's online.
It's a living, breathing thing.
Fran will go first this week.
He used all of his turkeys last week.
He will have 24 with which to bid today.
E.J. goes second this week.
He used more than, he used nine more turkeys than he had last week.
So he will only have 15 today.
I have 14 left over.
I have 38 turkeys this week.
Fran, we start with you.
All right.
Let's go to the first submission here.
with Jailix Hunt has at least
one and a half sacks.
Wow.
At least one and a half.
That means one and a half would count.
We'll start the bidding at...
Remember we were on the 42nd clock today.
So we'll start the bidding at three.
Three going once.
Three going twice.
Sold to Fran.
I'll tell you. Why are you looking at me?
You're the one that's turkey rich.
Okay. Over to you, E.J.
All right, I will recuse myself from this one.
My first entry is someone other than Drew Kendall starts at left guard.
Jesus.
I did this before I talked to anybody.
That's not true, but this was before I got new information.
I'll start the bidding for you.
Do results-based stuff when you do Swooper.
No, I think about the news, so I think about the news for Swooper.
I'll start the bidding for you guys at two.
two yeah
three
he doesn't want it
it's the thing
I know
this would be so silly
what are we at
we're at three
20 seconds
65 turkeys
for EJ
does he feel that good about it
so I want Bo to have it for four
I only have
five he's left
four three
I'll let you have it
two
one
all right
see how much
I trust his information.
You think a lot.
All right, I'm opening things up with...
Oh, no.
I thought we said we weren't doing these things this year.
This is a pretty good one.
This is the sacrifice month.
If you zoom in, you've got a picture of Johnny Munn's face here.
The Sacrifice Month.
Here's what the Sacrifice Munt is.
Whatever turkeys you use to spend on this item
are not for this week.
you sacrifice those turkeys.
In exchange, at any point later this season,
you get to cash in the sacrifice month,
and you will win two points instead of one point
if in that game Johnny Munt is targeted for a pass.
And that includes penalties.
So think about it like a sacrifice bunch.
You're giving up the out right now.
You're giving up your turkeys now.
In exchange for the hopeful promise of runs,
it'll be two points instead of one point,
if you use it correctly.
and Johnny Munt is targeted with a pass that week.
So you have to invoke it for a week.
You don't just hold on to it.
No, you do not hold on to it.
No, this is not a perpetuity thing.
This is just you're giving up turkeys this week
and you at some point can cash in during Swooper
so that that week you have a potential two-point item.
Okay.
Understood.
We understand the rules of the sacrifice month.
Yeah, we understand the rules.
I will open the bidding at three.
Four.
Sacrifice month.
Do we have to have the item with us?
No.
I think it would better.
Yeah.
You know, dramatically if you did.
Keep it on screen.
People got to give the people what they want.
They want to seek the money.
Yeah, Chekhov's month.
All right.
I got it for four?
No.
Yeah.
Four going one.
Five.
Who friend hates it.
How much time we got?
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
One.
Yeah.
Go ahead.
All right.
The Sacrifice Munt
has a huge
huge impact on this Titans game this week.
There it goes.
Sacrifice Munt, baby.
All right, we go to professors first.
I'm down to 27 turkeys.
Oh.
Kylan Granson has more catches plus tackles.
Wow.
Including special teams
then Johnny Munt.
Okay.
Wow, big Munt week.
Or Johnny Munt, man.
Watching the show.
Uh, one.
Yeah.
Two.
Three.
20 seconds.
Four going once.
I'll say five.
Oh, let you have it for five.
Five going once.
Five going twice.
No.
It's the tackle.
It's the tackle that you want.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Played 19 snaps of special teams last.
22 for you.
It's got 21.
AJ's got 15.
Over to you, Fran.
Record a catcher attack.
All right, my next one here.
Saquan Barkley hits at least 100 yards rushing.
We did this a lot last year and it never hit.
Start the bidding at three.
Four.
Four.
Five.
Six.
Ten seconds.
Heighton said pretty well against the Jets last week.
Seven.
That time.
I'll let you have a few.
I'll have enough turkeys to be fishing in those waters.
Reese Hall had 100 last week
Yeah, it's true
Will you be Jay
All right
My second
I will make tacos for dinner tonight
That's not
It's not taco too
Jaylen Hertz sets a new high
And under center completions
A little bit easier to get
The one we did last week
And it was something that we had last week
But didn't see quite as much
As we expected
What was that number last week?
Is it?
Is that right?
Ask Danes.
You did a lot of work.
You did a lot of work for this.
It's a really good context as we get ready to bid.
You hate all of my entry.
That's fine.
I'm starting the bidding at three.
Yeah, I'm offended.
We don't have a number here.
I don't care.
I need any of it.
The number is.
Oh, you might have it from last week.
That's right.
From Dana's chart.
The number is four, so we need five.
Okay.
And what's the bidding?
at right now?
Three.
Four.
Five catches.
Five.
Five completions.
Yeah.
Five going once.
Three.
Two.
One.
You can have it.
Okay.
A little math equation here for you.
Oh, great.
Keldrick Falk tackles plus drawn holding penalties.
Okay.
Plus quarterback hits.
Plus sacks times three.
plus TFLs times two
is greater than
McCai Lemon catches
plus Michael Lemon first downs
plus MacI Lemon
touchdowns times three
has a head-to-head matchup
between Kelchick Falk and Mackayleman
we've tried to put some
bonus points on things that they can achieve
on the football field
and you're bidding on
Keljik Falk wins this matchup over
McKay Lemon.
Tackles, holds, hits.
Sacks times three,
FFLs times two.
The lemon catches first downs, touchdowns times three.
Correct.
So you guys were offended that I didn't give you the number of career
completions under center Jalen Hertz would need to get my entry.
And you're not going to complain about this bozo math equation that Beau cooked up
for hours last night that you clearly aren't going to understand as well as him.
Oh, but that's fine.
That's just within the rules of the game.
It's a very rudimentary thing.
I'm outrageous.
I can interpret.
my mind.
This is what this is
most likely to look like.
Listen, I mean,
how I'm saying,
you know,
it seems like he's trying
to get an advantage over there.
Oh,
it seems like everybody's fine with that.
It's ridiculous.
Something we talked about last week
and you guys are like,
how can you not tell us
this information going in?
I'll start the bidding it too.
I feel like I have to.
I mean,
I mean, it's my guy.
Man's got out of the code.
Got to put at least one bit in.
Four.
jumping in on this one i'm out
uh all right
i'm going up against you you got 22 turkeys
10 got 21 4
i said four you got five sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry
three no two
one you have it for four yep okay
all right
it's deniz or me
it's danes it is okay
you're not even after dayness
Okay, this one is coming back.
Galen Hertz sets new career highs in both under-center completions and under-center attempts.
His current under-center completion record is four.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Set against both the Vikings and Raiders last year.
His under-center attempt record is six, set against the bills last year.
He literally told you it last week.
How many numbers have gone through my head?
Yeah, a lot because of both stupid entries.
Three, multiply it by four, divided by six.
All right, this is a Dutch auction.
So it's going to start.
This is a countdown auction.
And Lindsay will start.
Why don't you start at 18?
He said at 15.
15.
Everybody sets a new career highs in both.
Undercenter completions and attempts.
All right.
Ready?
15.
14.
13.
12.
11.
10.
9.
eight, seven, six.
Super.
Double and down.
Double up.
Yeah.
Big boom for EJ.
If it happens.
Yeah.
Two point.
I like that.
Someone would call that a sacrifice month.
Sort of.
Yeah.
I mean, it's the same caliber of a...
It's more...
You don't have to sacrifice the month.
You just swung away.
All right.
Your last item, Fran.
All right.
All of these must happen.
former Alabama wide receiver Devante Smith has more catches than former Alabama wide receiver Calvin Ridley
former Texas DB Drew McCuba has more tackles than former Texas linebacker Anthony Hill Jr.
And former Iowa DB Cooper Dugin has more PBA or N interceptions than former Iowa DB Amani Hooker.
It's like an alma mater's okay parlay.
Okay.
All three must happen.
We'll start the bidding at two.
three uh i will take 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 3 2 1 1 you got it okay all right my final entry what are you laughing about
all right he says tentatively is it my turn definitely a little just got to make sure my final entry
Darius Cooper plays more offensive snaps than Mackay Lemon.
Oh.
Now, it would be a big swing.
I will be the first to tell you, because I know you guys, you need your context here.
Darius Cooper played eight offensive snaps last week to McCoy Lemon's 35.
It would be a big swing.
Big swing.
But, you know, never say never.
Yeah.
I'll start the bidding at, I'll start it at one.
Yeah, I'm not going to do it.
I'm out.
Two.
I want to save my turkeys.
I'm out.
Two going one.
do. Yep.
Two going twice.
Okay.
Cooper snaps.
Now, did you clarify?
Can you see the item?
Can we see the item one more time?
Special team snaps.
Darius Cooper plays more offensive snaps.
He did say offensive snaps.
Yeah, got it.
I know it was a really complicated entry, you know,
and a lot going on there.
You might have missed something.
Just wanted to clarify.
All right.
My last item.
Jalen Hertz references Jeffrey Simmons comments
in his post-game press conference
without being directly asked about
them. So he has to say, why are you looking at me? I'm just saying, no, no, it can't be like,
hey, did Jeffrey Simmons comments play a role? And, you know, no, it's got to be like he's got,
but it's, you know, he's some kind of allusion to. I guess that's, I guess, I guess,
played quarterback, who's making, but who's making the call on whether or not it's good question.
The answer is me. I won't ask about it. I'll recuse myself. Now that he is allowed. Let's say he
is asked about it.
Right.
That answer doesn't count.
It's a vanilla answer.
If he then circles back to it, that does count.
All right.
I see what you mean.
I'll start to bidding a two.
Three.
Three.
I'm out on this one.
You're going once, but it's only four turkeys.
Ten.
Nine.
Eight.
Seven.
Six.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
I'll let it go.
I'll take it for three.
That's a good.
I didn't think I was going to get that for three.
All right.
Last one.
So I've got 14.
EJ's got four.
You've got 16.
No, you've got seven.
7.
11.
16.
18.
18.
18.
I was too busy winning items to keep track.
Oh.
I've got how many?
7.11.
11 14.
17.
These fake items.
All right, here we go.
The Eagles win
while converting more first downs on first down
than the number of turkeys
for which this item is sold.
They did not convert a single one last week
the only NFL team not to do so
in 2025.
No, they were the only team not to do so in 2025.
5.2 first downs converted on first down
was the NFL action.
This is a normal auction, but may borrow turkeys from next week.
More first downs.
More first downs or first down.
But the average is five points.
This item is sold.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
Everybody ready?
Yes.
Okay.
I'll start the bidding at two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
And how much faith do we have in this offense?
Nine.
Eight.
Seven.
Six.
Grant's got it.
They got to have at least six.
They have to have at least first downs, yes.
And win the game.
And win the game.
Eagles win and have at least six first downs.
All right.
So Fran has two turkeys left over and he's got Jalick's Hunt has at least one and a half sacks.
Sequin Barkley rushes for at least 100 yards.
He's got the alma matters poo poo platter.
He's got Jalen Hertz references Jeffrey Simmons.
And the Eagles offense has at least six first downs on first down and win the game.
E.J.
All in on under center completions.
Yeah.
If the Eagles have at least five under center completions, he gets one.
If they also have a feeling hurts high in under center attempts, he gets another one.
I have the Keldrick Falk, Mikhail Lemon one.
I have the sacrifice Munt.
I have Kylan Granson over Johnny Munt.
What was this first one?
Someone other than Drew Kendall starts at left guard.
Someone other than Drew Kendall starts at left guard.
and Darius Cooper plays more offensive snaps than McKaylemon.
I got a lot of nothing, really.
But you have 16 turkeys left.
But I got 16 turkeys left over.
What a ride.
Something.
I wish I said more turkeys.
But, you know.
I think you did well to, you got, you got, I mean,
you're not happy.
It's a good.
I'm really convicted on one thing.
Yeah.
That's good.
At least 65 turkeys worth of conviction on another thing.
I don't know if whatever.
It's fine.
Let us know in the comments if you're going to be in London
and hit the like button.
What are you doing?
That's all we got for Fran and E.J.
And Lindsay, I'm Bowie.
Thank you for watching and listening.
Back tomorrow at 2 o'clock, the professor is going to break down
some of the tendencies of this eagle's offense.
Does it look a little too similar?
Find out.
Also hear from E.J.
at the Wawa facility for all of us here.
We'll talk to you later.
And as always, we love you.
