Hello, everybody, and welcome to the P.HL.I. Eagles podcast on a beautiful Friday afternoon
live from the Xfinity Mobile Studio and presented by Ashley Bowulf and E.J. Smith, our beloved Eagles
insider here to take you through some big picture thoughts. After two days of Eagles training
camp, they have earned the day off, E.J. Well, they got to walk through. You know, it's a little lighter
practice for them. And, you know, we, I mean, no days off for us, specifically.
But the Eagles beat core.
Maybe the Eagles beat core earned a day off.
But that's why people are going to tune in and listen to us.
We're going to talk big picture about the first two days of training camp.
Because again, we don't take days off over here.
Well, I'm glad you said big picture, E.J.
Because why don't we get right into this bad boy?
Let's get to the big takeaway presented by our friends at Xfinity.
Now, these are some things that we have touched on a little bit,
but worth pulling back on.
And let's start E.J.
with the man himself, the mustachioed Maven at quarterback for the Eagles.
Let's talk a little Jalen Hertz.
Yeah.
In my show prep, I was taking down some notes.
What did I wanted to get through today?
And the best way that I can put it is that Jalen Hertz seems lighter,
literally and figuratively.
He is literally physically lighter.
You can see it.
I like that.
In his frame, it looks like he's a little skinny,
a little quicker.
I think this is something that Jalen does every summer.
You know, he comes back.
He's got like the type of physique where like he's going to lose like,
like, you know, 0.4% body fat, but his weight is never going to change.
But yeah, he looks a little bit smaller, a little bit lighter.
And I also think he seems a little lighter, you know,
on the way that he, you know, approached his introductory or his first press conference
of the summer, some of the things he talked about,
kind of what we've just seen from Jalen.
You know, I've said it for months now at the end of the season.
you know, I heard from some of his teammates that he seemed more open during the 2025 season.
I think you've seen a continuation of that going into training camp, you know, with this
togetherness, this unity messaging that he has had.
And yeah, I think that there are some tangible changes from Jaylen this summer where he does
seem a little bit more, you know, there's more levity to his approach and his, you know, his demeanor.
Let's talk to the physical thing first, because I think that's probably less important, but
but let's check that box.
Why do you think that is?
Why do you think he would intentionally come in a little bit lighter?
You know, I really do think it's probably just he has an off season to focus on working out in his physique.
Now, you could say, like, he didn't run as much last year and maybe he wanted to be more explosive.
He's getting older.
He's 27.
You know, it's not like he's, you know, 30 or 30 plus, but, you know, he is 27 years old.
You know, I heard Fran say this on Cousas show.
Like, he's almost, he's coming up on his third contract, you know?
It's just, it is, he's at this point in his career where if he wants to be able to outrun edge rushers and linebackers, he's going to have to continue to work on his body.
So I think that that's part of it.
But I do, you know, this is anecdotal.
I think Jalen comes in most training camps a little bit smaller.
But I also think this is the smallest we've seen him.
You can even see it the way his face looks.
I think he's lost some weight.
So, you know, when you watch him go through drills, I do think he looks quick.
He looks athletic.
All right.
Let's talk about the metaphysical lighter here.
And it makes sense, but you could also have seen a world in which, you know,
the eyes being on him in a post-A.J. Brown thing makes it makes him a little bit tighter, right?
It makes him a little bit defensive almost.
Now, that's not really the way that we've ever seen Jalen be wired.
But I, you know, it's been two days.
You don't want to overstate this.
But I agree with you.
he does seem a little bit lighter to your words and just kind of you know it goes along with what you've talked about about the intentionality of being more part of the group in the locker room the stuff that he's done over the summer bringing these guys in he just there's an airiness there is a kind of like you guys you guys don't don't really know what I'm about to show you
and you know maybe we're maybe we're reading too much into that and that's a little bit of wishcasting but there is a as opposed to the kind of stern confidence of how dare you doubt me there's kind of like a oh you doubt me you fool wait to wait until you see this yeah i think i think that's a fair reading i think that there you know it just i think the contrast of an early career jalen hearts is what i
kind of go back to. And, you know, I spent a lot of time looking back at like what we were talking
about a year ago during training camp. And a year ago from Jalen, we were hearing that he was much
more confident in his own skin because of the Super Bowl. You know, he remember he had the exchange
with Jeff McClain of the Inquirer. Like, you know, have you ever had a promotion? Like, if you
had a promotion, you know, like you get more confident when you've succeeded professionally.
And I think we've seen like a 12-month continuation of that process for him. And I think that he's
learned that being one of the guys affects winning.
You know, I know that.
I've had a conversation with him, you know, in the last few months about, you know,
the fact that being accessible to everyone, being able to be open to everyone might affect
the bottom line.
So I think that there is like to your point here, like an element of like easy, breezy
in the face of a high pressure situation and a pivotal season.
And I think that that is probably not how he would have handled it maybe three or four years ago.
You know, I think if this was, you know, 22 or 2023, there might have been a little bit more.
I mean, I can tell you, like, I remember in 2023 hearing from people who had said, like, his demeanor was the complete opposite of what it is now where, you know, it was almost like, I don't want to say joyless because that's probably a little bit too strong, but kind of in that vein where it seemed like he wasn't enjoying every single day being around the being in the building, being around everybody.
So I think Jalen's grown a lot in that area.
and I think we are seeing the tangible effect of it,
not only in the way that Jalen has been,
but I actually think the way that everyone's talked about Jalen too.
Have you put this?
Like, you know,
there is definitely like a reverence from not just the normal guys.
Like, you know, Jordan Mylotta, like I put out a quote from Jordan Milata earlier
and we can get to that in a minute here.
You know where Jordan loves Jalen,
like you know that if you go to like Jordan Milata,
Brandon Graham,
Devante Smith to a lesser extent,
like those three guys,
they will be effusive in how much they love Jalen.
But hearing from Jalen Carter or like Dallas Goddard, you know,
you asked him a question about Jalen, like there's a reverence about him,
but also like an appreciation for the fact that he has become more accessible for his teammates.
You can, it's a very kind of natural projection that you can track, right?
It's, it's okay, you're fighting to prove you're the guy, you're proving you're the guy,
then you get to the mountaintop and you get put on this pedestal,
And with that comes responsibility and you insulate a little bit more because nobody really knows what it is that you're all dealing with.
And you have to be very serious because you're the one who is taking all the slings and arrows and you are responsible for so much.
And everybody else doesn't even have a sense of what it is that you are responsible for.
And then the longer you are in that job, the more you realize, okay, I kind of have to do all of that.
And doing that is part of this heavy crown that I wear.
and then once you've sort of forced yourself to do it,
then it becomes more second nature,
and you can be a little bit more at ease about it,
to say nothing of the AJ divorce of it all
and just not having to deal with that constant headache.
Yeah, and that is a big part of this.
You know, I feel like as I've marinated or ruminated,
I guess, ruminated on Jaylin's like 100% accountability,
zero entitlement quote.
I don't know.
Hold on.
I have a question about this.
Yeah.
Am I wrong?
Didn't he say zero percent entitlement?
No, he didn't say zero percent.
He said zero entitlement.
He said 100 percent alignment, zero entitlement?
Yeah, I got the quote right here.
When I was taking notes, I thought, taking notes on a Nixiriani meeting, I thought about 100 percent alignment and zero entitlement.
As a team, that's what everyone is pushing for.
I thought he said zero percent entitlement.
I don't like it as much.
I wanted to be both percentages.
You know, as his editor, you could tell him that, you know.
I'm out.
Five wins.
Will zero percent entitlement and zero entitlement
achieve the same thing?
I get the balance of the message.
I want that.
You know, he's up on the podium.
He's got all those cameras in his face.
You're not always,
not all of us are going to be one take bow.
I'm out.
The guy's not ready for prime time.
He cannot shine in the big stage.
This is like a draft weekend.
You're like,
this is why Jaylen Hertz isn't going to be
the only third quarterback.
Exactly.
Exactly.
But no, I think that, you know, as I've had some time to think about what that could mean,
it's hard to not think about A.J. Brown the way that last season ended when you hear that quote.
And when you hear this push from Nick Sierra Annie and Jalen about togetherness and, you know,
that, like pushing in the same direction is obviously a priority for this team.
I think that's right. Yeah. I think that's right. Now, do you agree?
You know, this is the, it's this is the early version of,
the national people coming in and being like, oh, tell you what,
and this Eagles camp is a lot less dramatic than it's been in years past
because there's no AJ Brown.
And usually, like, we can kind of laugh at the people who are parachuting in for one day
and what they say.
It's only been two days.
But I do kind of agree with that.
Yeah, this is a good segue into my second thing I've learned,
which I think is what we both are alluding to.
Now, listen, like, yes, it was Ian Rappaport that said,
like, oh, you know, things are just calm here.
You know, things are just chill.
You know, AJ Brown's gone and look how chill it is.
It's the second day in camp.
That might be like a false equivalency, but I'll be honest with you.
Like I, because what I was feeling, when I woke up this morning,
I started like thinking big picture about what we've learned the last two days.
I said like it just has been like a really like, you know, really calm, like chill camp so far.
Like there's a lot to be optimistic about.
And then I said the same thing you just said.
Like it's the second day of camp.
Training camp is always kind of the land of optimism and everybody feeling good about things.
But I actually think even compared to last year, you could make arguments that this summer
has started a lot more smoothly than last summer did.
You know, the health thing that side, I want to get into that later because I have some things
I want to share about that.
But with specifically just like what we are talking about with the team, this time last year,
like if you go 366 weeks back
because the Eagle started camp a week earlier last year,
what were we talking about?
What was the big quote that everybody was hanging on to?
Is this the AJ not being satisfied?
AJ Brown wants to put a stamp on it.
He wants to prove that he is the number one receiver in the NFL
best receiver in the league.
He has a third, I went back and read my story.
It was one of the last stories I wrote for the Inquirer, actually.
Never heard of it.
But say two Inquirer name drops in the first 12 minutes.
there. So yeah, it's like a 13 second pause, this pregnant pause as AJ tries to figure out
how he wants to word what he's about to say. And he comes out and he says that he feels he's the
best receiver in the NFL and he wants to put a stamp on that. And then that kind of just
became a theme throughout training camp like AJ Brown, the year of AJ Brown. Some people may have
coined it. So the conversation's a lot different now. You know, what are the quotes that what are
the quotes we're hanging on to? It's Jalen Hertz talking about again, 100% alignment zero entitlement.
the entire offense and honestly the defense being so optimistic about the way that the offense has looked under
Sean Mannion. There's like a newness and like a refreshed feeling around the Eagles right now that is
optimistic. And I think that that is a departure from last year when we were hearing a lot of like contentious
like we don't want to talk about repeating. It's not repeating. And, you know, players wanting to prove
that they, you know, had stature in the league that they, that they believe that they had earned already.
So just a different tone and a different tenor so far.
Well, and I also think that this is not really what we expected in terms of on the field stuff.
I think, you know, there's a good chance that some of this stuff is going to come back and there's going to be peaks and valleys over the course of the next three weeks.
But I wasn't expecting things to look so smooth on the field.
Yeah.
And that doesn't mean that, you know, one side is not doing better.
But like in the spring, the offense wasn't really doing anything.
And that wasn't a problem.
they're installing a brand new offense.
The defense is supposed to be very good.
That's pretty much what you would expect.
But I think that like as smooth as things, yeah,
there have been some there have been some pre-snap penalties and that's fine.
That's pretty expected for the start of camp.
But I think just the general flow of things has been mildly, surprisingly smooth.
Yeah, I completely agree.
In the spring we saw that the offense was going to look different,
but it didn't look good.
Like there were a lot of growing paints.
And so far, like that has, not to say that they've been like dominant, but you kind of would have expected the defense to be a way ahead of them still.
And I would say that it's been mostly defined by like really good battles.
You know, it hasn't been one way traffic throughout the days.
So yeah, I think that is encouraging.
I mean, change when the pads go on and the defensive line can really tee off.
Who knows.
But yeah.
Yeah.
But I also think, you know, obviously Cole Payton like struggled yesterday specifically.
But I think I think that the third team.
team offense looking as good as it did on day one was a pretty like strong testament to
Sean Mannion as well.
Like, you know, that's usually a chaotic group on the early days of camp or like nobody's
where they're supposed to be and it's just utter chaos.
The fact that like Cole Payton looked as good as he did and that group was as organized as
they were, like I think that shows you that they put a lot of work in it on the spring and
that they have a good feel for like the fundamental core principle things that they're going
to be running on offense.
So yeah, I actually think the offense is maybe like a little ahead of schedule compared
to where you would have expected them to be.
I agree with that.
And there we have E.J. Smith on the record,
Cole Payton headed to Canton.
That's your boy.
He's your guy now.
Let's close the book on the big takeaway presented by Xfinity.
And with that, we will take our first break on the PHA YGO's podcast.
Much more to come on the other side.
Some Jalick's Hunt conversation.
Let me give a teaser because there's somebody in my driveway.
So on the other side of the break, I'll figure out who is in my driveway.
Jalen.

Back in the PHAW-Ego's podcast, Bo and EJ.
You know what?
Let's get to what's brewing presented by Wawa,
because I want to know what's brewing in that driveway.
You know what?
That's actually the great tease, because, you know,
shout out to Wawa coffee.
If I'm ever on the go, I'm making sure to get Wawa coffee.
But I got some coffee beans in the, in the, I guess,
driveway he delivered him somewhere I don't know where but he was lurking in my
driveway for a good like five minutes and all I had was beans all he had was beans I
should have said it was my guy Ed but somebody in the chat says I see SRG yeah that's a
great that's a great call SRG I wish it was that bringing those beans Ed would bring more
than beans he'd bring like ribs or something something here we go you do like a coffee
rub you have done those before I like a coffee rub but I've done those before I like a coffee rub but
I have like three seasonings that I'm faithful to at this point and I don't really deviate from them.
It's like a black like pepper forward.
It's got like some kind of like I think it's like charcoal infused as weird as that sounds.
It's awesome is what I use on like brisket or beef ribs or any kind of like steak that you're going to smoke.
And then I've got like a paprika forward rub for like if you're going to sear a steak.
And then I've got like a cajunan rub that I'll do for poultry.
So I got I got it.
I got it on lock.
Got it down to a science.
You can diversify a little bit, though.
Try some new rubs.
You do.
Yeah.
I have a pantry, like a drawer full of, like, different seasonings.
But I just like the ones I like, you know?
Okay.
Let's run around some of these comments here because a couple good questions.
Nick Spicer, curious about Darius Cooper.
He says, what's good?
He thinks Cooper, the wide receiver is in for him.
and I do
again
two days
caveats
they haven't put pads on yet
none of this really matters
but I
stock up
arrow up for Darius Cooper
through the first two days
of training camp
after the spring
because in the spring
we saw it sort of
Johnny Wilson
taking many more of the reps
with the ones
Johnny Wilson hasn't taken
many reps at all
with the ones
and those reps
have gone to Darius Cooper
and I think if you are
if both guys are fully healthy
at their
at their best.
Johnny Wilson is a better blocker and Darius Cooper is a better
wide receiver.
But I think Johnny,
I think Darius Cooper is a better blocker than Johnny Wilson is a wide receiver.
I agree with that.
And I also think it's kind of funny if you look at and now listen,
like Johnny Wilson is coming off a major injury.
So I want to be fair to him that, you know,
this might change in time.
But if you just look at like their lower halves,
even though Johnny Wilson is so much taller,
they like are built like Darius Cooper is way more built.
He's probably got a bigger lower half than Johnny Wilson.
Johnny Wilson is just tall and pretty skinny right now.
So, yes, I think Johnny Wilson probably is a better blocker.
But in terms of like the complete package like you're saying,
but also like can I go even as far as saying like the want to like the dog in him,
I'd take Darius Cooper in a certain situation.
If he's going to like go full speed into like a linebacker or something,
I agree.
I'd rather have Darius Cooper.
Yeah.
So would I.
Yeah.
You know what?
It has actually been.
an encouraging
I'm not crazy
two days of camp
because I felt like in the spring
I was like what is going on
why is Darius Cooper buried here
yeah like he is a good player
and it has been nice to see
that maybe the Eagles think that as well
I think he's got big fans in that building
maybe it's not as unanimous
given the fact that Johnny Wilson
has kind of taken some of his
reps at least in the spring but yeah he's got
people who really are high on him
Joe 76, EJ says, what if Nick is actually just a genius and told the defense to sandbag early on so the offense could gain confidence?
I don't think that would make like Nick a genius.
I think maybe like, hey, like media genius, media savvy to try and get us to calm down about the offense.
But I don't know, that would also backfire on Nick because right now Sean Mannion's getting a lot of the credit for how things look.
So I don't think that that's happening.
But Nick's not in it for the credit.
He's in it for the wins.
Yeah, man, I don't know if that's going to affect wins or not.
Jim G says overreacting time, but how has Eli Stowers looked in the first two days?
It's a good question.
I haven't seen him do a whole lot.
He's had a couple catches.
A nice slant, like nice quick slant, I think, from Dalton.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I mean, he hasn't taken a single rep, but the ones.
He's done some okay.
stuff with the twos. Yeah, I
will not lie
in saying that I am a little bit
worried now. I love the cup, by the way.
We have one of those cups.
We have like almost exactly that cup.
What do you got in there? This is a vestige.
This is coffee. This is a vestige from a
bachelorette trip for Rachel.
I was, I was a little bit of a mini coffee mug that I have here.
You know, since we're talking mugs here,
and then we're off, we're off track.
I've got this, it's like my favorite mug.
Oh.
Oh, nice ceramic.
We got this in Sedona.
It's got red, like this is Red Rock.
Like this is like the Sedona Red Rock.
Yeah, it's made by like an artist.
So.
All right.
Here's a thing.
Here's a real question here for it because I was also thinking about it.
I got a sour.
I got to get my showers thing.
Oh, okay.
I am a little bit concerned, not necessarily long term, but definitely short term.
I don't think that he has shown nearly enough to prove that he's going to be like a matchup nightmare in the NFL early in his career.
I agree.
That could change.
And I think he could grow into that, maybe.
But he's going to have to show more like physical juice than he has so far.
Last one here in what's brewing is A. Mandel says with the Chris Oliva deal,
Devante is barely in the top 20 wide receivers in average annual value.
If he produces in line with our expectations this year,
feels like he needs to get a new deal soon.
And I am wondering about this.
because if Devante has the kind of year that they think that he's going to have.
He's going to be signing, you know, he's going to be a top five paid wide receiver next year.
They're going to extend him and there's going to be no discount.
They don't usually do this.
But I am wondering if they are considering ripping up his deal and signing him to a new deal now before the 1,200-yard season that they expect comes.
It's a great question.
it aligns with like the philosophy the Eagles have about like pay the price now before the price
becomes significantly more expensive. And yeah, he's a 25 million right now. I am not going to
count where that puts him, but he's he's, you know, between Jamison Williams and Cortland Sutton.
And that is almost $20 million a year less than the top of the market is right now. Jackson Smith
and Jigbat won 42.15 million dollars a year.
Jamar Chase is at 40 million.
So yeah, I just, it's tricky.
I could be reading it wrong.
It does not look like there's a huge savings or a loss if they do an extension.
Now is the time that they could do it.
I also think like.
If you're Devante, you're probably good though, right?
But if you're thinking about the age curve, he's going to be 28.
Yeah.
Now is the time that you would want to pay him.
is it like get ahead of it one season so that you're you're not getting his 32 year old season
as the final pay deal it's the 31 year old season i don't know i i have to i have to look into it
a little bit deeper but i i would imagine that it would make sense to the eagles to do that before
the season it might it might not make sense of devante yeah i was going to say i remember earlier in the
off season. I think it might have been around when
Alec Pierce signed his deal. I said,
Devante's going to want to rip up his contract at some point.
Yeah. But now if I'm Devante going
into camp and AJ's gone,
you're probably thinking like, I'm good this year.
Let's figure it out next year. And I don't know
if the Eagles would do that deal in camp.
That's honestly, that's a good question
is whether or not they would break the
no extensions during the season during
training camp. Yeah.
To me it would be like on the eve of the season.
Okay. Yeah. Maybe.
early September we've signed Devante too
Devante's going to be here
Yeah and then what do you sign in him to like
D.K. Metcalfs at 30 33 effectively
CD Lamb at 34
Ahman Rae St. Brown at 30 even
Basically like
Yeah I think you can get him to 30 something
Yeah
Yeah it's tricky
It's tricky and if I'm Devante I might really just say like
Nah let's see how the season looks
You know like because if it looks great
He probably isn't starting with a four if he has a great season, right?
I don't think so.
Because of his age.
Yeah, I don't think so.
Yeah.
But he's probably high 30s.
All right.
Let's close the book on what is brewing presented by our friends at Wawa.
E.J., give me your Jalick's Hunt take that you have.
My take is that you couldn't have been more right to buy stock in Jalick's hunt before training camp.
He has looked really good.
He's like a real energy giver.
You know, I feel like they have a little bit of like Brandon Graham replacement.
by committee, you know, will replace Brandon Graham and the aggregate.
I feel like, you know, Jordan Davis.
Thinking chair situation.
It's like you're in the office.
So, you know, you've got Jordan Davis kind of like providing some of the, the boisterous, you know,
team leader, the vocal guy on the defense in that Brandon Graham mold.
And then I feel like Jalick's hunt and Nolan Smith as players, you probably get some of that
replacement as well.
You know, Nolan obviously is a big trash talker as well, tough player, physical player.
physical player.
But Jalix is the one that is like he's got a lot of juice.
He's bringing a lot of,
bringing a lot of energy to practice,
you know,
before practice and then during,
but also like just impressive on the field.
Yeah, it's good.
High, high level plays.
You know, it's funny.
Have you seen the clip of Will Anderson that's been making the rounds?
No.
Where he's going through the past rest,
he's going through the passrest circuit.
He does like a Danil Hunter, like, you know,
wrong leg, Euro step move.
And it's pretty sick.
And he just plummet.
the bag down like the bag looked like I think somebody said the bag retired which I enjoyed but I'm thinking
like we don't get to see the defensive line and go through those I know our field yeah for people who would
have no idea the defensive line is always doing their individual drills as far away as possible yeah
we just don't get to see it yeah but I think Jalicks probably has I mean will Anderson's very very lofty
company I'm not saying that but I'm saying that he probably has some reps in those where it's like wow
that was that was eye popping you know that is like you know a guy
running on the side of his foot.
He shouldn't be able to do it at that size and that speed.
But yeah, he's been really, really impressive.
I think that his stock, if you haven't bought it already,
it's probably too late.
I actually pulled a quote from Jordan Milata on Jalix.
He said, tremendous growth, super proud of Jalix.
He's a really smart player.
He's learning every year that he gets to play against us.
He's super dynamic, super explosive.
He had a great day yesterday, had some great moves.
He's starting to pick up on a few cues of mine that he let me know.
I was like, oh, I really appreciate it.
appreciate that, bro.
I think he's, you know, it's hard for me to continue to say that I'm high on him,
but I think he could be so good.
Yeah.
I think there's a chance that at the end of this season,
we're talking about him on this defense as the same level as Quignan and Cooper
Degene and Jalen Carter.
As like those are the four building blocks that the Eagles have.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, it's going to be expensive, but I think if you were going to pick four positions to have them at,
I mean, maybe you wouldn't pick nickel, but for Vic, you probably would feel okay about that.
You probably pick two outside corners, an edge rush or a detackle.
But, I mean, you're pretty close with what they have.
Yeah, he's fun.
Now, do you, do, let me ask you a question, because he, you know, he does do a lot of dancing,
especially coming from the field to the sideline or on the sideline.
When you are at practice and you hear the music,
music. Does your, does your body want to move?
Depends on the song. There's a handful of songs each practice that probably do make me want
to dance. Yeah. The thing is that they listen to a lot of like the newer rap. Like I like
little baby and Gunna and all those guys. They're not like my generation of rap. I sound like
an unk now. But if you play like some older Drake, some Kendrick, some like, you know, they don't
play the other rapper that I listen to and that's probably good.
Separate the art from the artist sometimes.
That was not who I was going to say.
But yeah, when they play some songs that are more like I listen to them in college,
yeah, I want to dance.
Of course.
I like Chris in the chat says he's 28 little baby is trash.
Yeah, I don't hate on the new rappers, but they are different.
They have a different style, different vibe.
If they start playing like some Jay-Z, some Mobb,
yeah, I would be on that.
I mean, listen, as an old man, an old white guy,
I like being exposed to the music that I'm not otherwise listening to.
It's fun to me.
And my body does want to move.
It's hard for me not to just start moving.
Part of that is also like the with the kids,
with the kids in the house,
you know,
it's a classic move to just start dancing in front of them
and, you know,
try to entertain the baby that way.
So,
I mean,
I'm just in a perpetual dancing mood.
But yeah,
I get to practice.
I want to move,
I want to move those shoulders,
move those hips.
Yeah,
yeah,
absolutely.
Some of the songs are,
like,
I end up taking them for my gym playlist
because they're just like,
you know,
they're catchy,
good song.
So you're right.
It's good,
good to get that exposure.
Yeah,
every now and then I will do,
I will do the Shazam
because I don't know the song
and I'm like,
You want to be real low key about the Shazam.
Be like, well, it's a song.
By the way, since we are looking, since I'm in my notes, I'm looking at Jordan
Myelada quotes here.
I want to tee up one that I had from him on Jalen Hertz.
You go with running this?
Yes.
Okay.
So on Jalen Hertz, Jordan Milata said he's all in on this system.
The way he's commanding the huddle, the way he's getting that ball out and the way
they're throwing it and just he's embraced it.
he's all in.
It's refreshing to see.
We always say it starts with the QB, and he's taken up.
He's taken that up and he's leading by example and we're all following him.
So it's fun.
So it was just, again, my lot of loves Jalen, like more than most people in the locker room.
But I thought like the point about him embracing the offense, you know, just to kind of put a ball in the conversation we were having earlier.
I thought it was significant.
Cliffy dose in the chat.
Oh, is he?
Where's Cliffy?
I didn't realize you went full government.
in our chat.
Oh,
a little baby was hot.
Yeah.
Hey,
Cliff,
you would notice this.
I was going to say this earlier.
Speaking of Little Baby,
shout out to Ben,
our social media manager.
The beat he put on my latest
three takeaways on Instagram
was,
I think it's Once in Needs by Drake and Little Baby.
And that beat is so good.
So I literally,
this song's with him stuck in my head all day.
So shout out to Ben.
Good,
good song choice there.
Love that.
Got to make sure you like that on Instagram, by the way.
I know, that's right.

And check out your latest on all-P-H-L-Y.com.
Yeah.
And let's know.
Training Camp Diaries on there.
It's been good.
It's been fun.
All right.
Time for our next break.
On the other side, we are going to get really into the weeds on some sicko, backup,
offensive line conversation.
Looking forward to it.
A lot can change in five years.
You know, looking back five years ago, we were talking about Devante Smith's first Eagles training camp and whether or not Landon Dickerson would be healthy enough to play as a rookie.
And, you know, the one thing that doesn't have to change in five years is your, the price you pay for your Wi-Fi.
And that's thanks to the Xfinity five-year price guarantee.

Back in the P&JLY Eagles podcast, Bo and EJ, coming at you.
Now, Eagles have regular practice tomorrow.
We will have it covered for that practice with a post-practice VOD,
is what we call it.
Well, probably a bite-size, eight to 12-minute recap of what we saw.
Look forward to that.
E.J's takeaways will be on your social media feeds, all that good stuff.
No full episode.
And then there's practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday,
Saturday next week.
So we're getting after it.
Let's talk offensive lines.
No days off.
You know, I love,
I love tracking the backup offensive linemen.
One of the joys of camp.
Find someone who looks at you
the way the Bo looks at the third team offensive line.
It's so great.
And it's also a really fascinating thing
just to track from a,
what are they changing?
Yeah.
Why are they changing what they're changing standpoint,
especially with a new offensive line coach.
Yeah.
We've never seen how Chris Cooper wants to handle this.
And who knows if this is fully his discretion or how he led or Nick led or whatever it is.
But it has been the same groupings for the first two days of camp.
Usually we see these change sometimes after a day off.
And so I'm curious to see if there will be any movement to these groups.
tomorrow since they've had to walk through today.
But we have the full depth chart for what the
offensive line has looked like over the first
it is of practice. Thanks to Lindsay.
Great graphic here. Check this bad boy out.
You know the starters. Milata, Dickerson,
Jurgens, Tyler Steen, Lane Johnson.
Second team. And let's focus on a couple of guys here
and then we'll continue to go through it.
Left tackle Fred Johnson, right tackle Markle,
Markle, left guard Michael Jordan,
right guard Drew Kendall, center Jake Mayors.
majors. So let's start with EJ, the tackles. Are you surprised at all? It's Fred on the left.
Markell on the right. Do you take anything of that? I take it as a good sign for Markell Bell's
short-term opportunity to become the swing tackle, like the first guy off the bench. I think the fact
that they want him to cross-trained, they want him to get that experience on the right when he's
primarily played on the left in college and obviously didn't have as much experience playing on the right.
think that that's encouraging for like his short-term outlook.
I think he long-term already projects as like a Fred Johnson replacement for a team
that prioritizes a swing tackle off the bench.
I think honestly,
he might just be ahead of schedule on that based off of where they have them right now.
Do you think there is anything to wanting Markell to watch Lane,
to really be in Lowe's hip pocket?
There's probably some value to that.
I like that take from you.
Maybe it is like, but I mean,
the problem with that is that it's not like.
You wouldn't want him to be in Milana's pocket either, right?
Yeah, especially because, I mean, size-wise, him and Milata are like a little closer.
Now, Markal Bell is not, like, his height is similar to Milata.
His build's not yet.
Maybe he will become that size one day.
But, yeah, I think there might still be something to, like, put him behind the technician for us.
This is one where it will be very interesting to me.
I would expect at some point halfway through camp, those two guys will flip.
Markell will go on the left
and Fred will go on the right.
Now, again, in a non-Jef Stoughtland world,
because it used to be that Stott would have a rookie
just play one position
and have them major at that position
until they had sort of conquered it in his eyes
and then they could move around.
That has changed a little bit in recent years.
Tyler Steen did a little bit of flip-flopping,
but I'm curious to see if the Markell Fred thing
is you guys, this is just the positions we like you at
or if you want to see them both cross-training.
Yeah, and the rookie part of it aside,
like if this were a Stoutland world still,
you probably would see those guys randomly changing spots more often.
Like, you know, he would want them to have an unexpected series
or period at right tackle or left tackle.
Yeah, sometimes they will do that with the starters, especially.
It'll be like a no landin, a no-jurgens type thing,
although those guys were also coming off of injuries last year.
So I'm not so sure they would have done it again.
the interior guys with that second team.
Michael Jordan, we talked about
somewhat interesting and pleasantly surprised
to just see him shotgun right to the two's
because sometimes the veterans who were not with them in the spring
have to work their way up from the third team.
I think it speaks to Michael Jordan's experience
as a starter that he's working there.
And then Drew Kendall is obviously very interesting to us.
I would be shocked if he's just playing red guard all summer.
Yeah.
I'm curious to see,
because Jake Majors has,
they don't have pads on,
not overstating it,
but he has not looked great
those first two days of practice,
whether if he comes out,
if it's Willie Lampin getting reps with the twos,
or if it's Drew Kendall sliding over
and getting some center reps.
We didn't see Drew Kendall really work with the centers
in the spring at all.
So I don't know if this is a,
he did it all last year.
He's good at that.
We want to see him expand.
But you would think that in a new offense,
an entirely new scheme,
if he's going to be the actual backup center,
you would want him to get those reps.
Yeah, my first thought was like,
maybe they don't view him as an ideal fit at center in the system,
but it's hard to envision that.
Like, if anything, you'd go the other way
and feel like he doesn't fit at guard.
But yeah, I think he is auditioning to be
the first interior offensive linemen off the bench.
I think it's going to be hard to overtake Michael Jordan,
although Michael Jordan, does he have any experience at center?
like throughout his career?
Yeah, so that's a question.
I mean, Landon does.
So maybe that's, you know, how you feel about it.
But yeah, if Landon goes down, yeah, I guess if Landon and Cam were to go down,
I think you obviously have to make different plans.
So yeah, I think that we will probably see those guys move around.
All right, let's flash up that depth chart again because we'll talk about the threes.
And with the third team so far, it has been John Ajukwu at left tackle.
And this is a player to keep an eye on.
Miles Hinton, third team left guard.
Hinton was a tackle all last summer.
Eagles have moved him inside this summer.
He's left guard.
Willie Lampkin, your third team center.
Michael Morris, the sixth round rookie,
is your third team right guard.
And Cameron Williams, the third team right tackle.
Cameron Williams suffered an injury at practice yesterday.
Jukwu moved from left tackle to right tackle.
And Holland Pierce moved to third team left tackle.
There's also Jaden Roberts,
who has been only playing in developmental periods.
most second here is a player who I think is fighting to make Fred Johnson expendable, E.J.
Okay. Yeah, I could see that. I mean, I'm a little higher on Fred than you guys. I'm a little bit more like, you know, beholden on the fact that he has just played good football for them. I'm with you.
But I get what you're saying. Like, it would be a more idea. He is the level of veteran that sometimes they just don't.
don't view as worthy of the roster.
Yeah.
He's not going to get poached.
He could,
he might be able to stay around.
And if Mark Cabell is actually the swing tackle,
do we need a roster spot for him?
Yes.
If Mark Elbel becomes,
if he beats Fred Johnson for this job this summer,
then all of a sudden,
yeah,
it's like he is an expendable player in the sense of like,
if you lost him,
it doesn't change the framework of your game day,
you know,
machinations that much.
And it also,
it's like,
yes,
it's good to have him,
but you could probably sneak him
on the practice squad.
So I think that's fair that the league probably doesn't view him as favorably as Eagles fans
and the Eagles probably do based off of the quality snaps he's given them.
But yeah, I just would still say that like Markell Bow is going to have to look really good
the next couple weeks to be year one swing tackle.
Obviously, like they might feel great about him, but to feel good about, you know,
having to play high leverage games with him as a big part of the offensive line there,
it's going to take a lot for him to show that.
I agree with that.
Now, who is John Ojukwu?
27 years old, undrafted out of Boise State in 2023.
So this is not someone who you are thinking is going to be like a diamond in the rough
who you can keep around for several years,
who is with the Titans for three years and then joined the Eagles in the offseason.
So it is kind of a one-to-one comparison with Fred Johnson,
which of the mid-career veterans do you want to keep around?
Yeah, I think that's fair.
it's weird to like him you feel like john adjuku has been here for a little while but we haven't gotten to like talk to him or meet him so that's always weird for me as a reporter day three at camp we are spending 10 minutes on john adjuqu where else are you getting that truly genuinely you're not getting this anywhere else and that is the value of the show is that you guys you and franman man your your level your level of detail from practice it's unmatched I mean all I'm doing is telling you who's playing where I don't feel like that's that's a crazy amount of detail
important. Michael Morris, I would like to see, I'm curious to see if there's going to be any movement
there. Like if Kendall moves to second team center, does Michael Morris get to go play
second team right guard? I think that would be the sign of encouragement that you want to see
in terms of in terms of depth chart movement. Yeah, it's always interesting with the day three guys.
They have almost all of them start with the third team. And it's interesting to see if that's like
rookie pay your dues, work your way up and earn your way up into the second team.
team or if it's just a reflection of like how the team feels about them so yeah he'll be an
interesting one to watch then miles hinton an interesting player to follow having moved from tackle to
guard curious about how that plays out i would put him if i had to put turkeys on it like him
making the roster right now it'd be 40 45 just just below likely to make it i would say yeah they've just
really been collecting these like interesting project off
offensive lineman so it's more competitive than it was even last year so yeah and i think it speaks to
you know landed in jurgens's health is something that's very important to this roster and how good
the offense is going to be how good do you feel about the depth i think i feel better about it than i
did this time last summer oh for sure yeah and a pre-fred johnson trade world absolutely yeah yeah um
there have been better,
there have been more proven years of backups.
But I think that this is,
I think that this has a chance to be good,
a good group of nine,
you know,
guys on the roster,
nine and ten guys.
Yeah,
separating like the NFL comparison
because the Eagles will have better depth
than most teams,
just because they have a better five
than most teams do,
starting five there.
I would say this is about what you'd expect
the Eagles to have in terms of depth,
maybe even a little bit,
better. And, you know, the difference being that in years past, it was like Andre Dillard or, I mean,
there was one year where Landon Dickerson was the sixth offensive line. And they don't quite have
that guy. But I think Markell Bell has a chance to like make us feel, I mean, he's a day two pick.
You know, I think he has a chance to make us feel really good about that six spot.
I think if your guys are, your backups are Markell Bell, Drew Kendall, call it Michael Jordan and Fred
Johnson, and then one developmental guy who's just holding a spot, but is never expected to play,
that's pretty good.
Yeah, I agree.
I agree.
Chris Cooper probably, it's probably the best group
that Chris Cooper's ever had,
even just depth, right?
Probably.
I would have to look at it, but probably, yeah.
All right, time for our last break

Hello, back on the Pitchell of Eagles podcast, Bo.
And E.J. Smith are Eagles insider.
Speaking of which, some news on the contract details for the bread man.
Tell me, what do we need to know?
All right.
So this is according to Spowtrak.
Do you go SpotRack or Spotrack?
I go over the cap.
Okay.
Well, Spotrack is the one who had the Eagles.
Jalen Carter's contract details first.
So I wanted to make sure I gave him credit.
four years, $152 million in new money, which we knew.
The big one for me is $40.8 million guaranteed at signing.
You know, sometimes what you see the guaranteed money, you know, whatever they, whatever is announced, it is all guaranteed at signing.
It seems like Jalen Carter, the structure is 40.8 guaranteed now, 30 million guaranteed next March and the rest over a schedule that's unclear at this point.
But if you're an Eagles fan, the thing you're really going to keep an eye on here and the thing that really moves the needle for you here is that the cap hits are very managed.
for the next four years. It's 9.1 in 2026, 9.5 in 2027, which is lower than it would have been,
had they not extended Jalen Carter. It's 15.5 in 2028, 22.2 and 22.2 in 2029, 29, 29.2 million in 2030,
and then 68.1 in a void year in 2032, which I suspect the Eagles will like to restructure
if they are so competitive at that point in the future. Okay, what do you make of that?
I mean, I think it's favorable for the Eagles, you know, it's, it is always why you kind of wait for the second beat for these contracts.
It's still a great deal for Jalen Carter.
Don't get me wrong, but there's more flexibility than maybe we would have expected when you see that $106 million guaranteed, you know, when they initially announced a deal.
So still a good deal for Jalen Carter, but one that, you know, the flexibility afforded to the Eagles by Jeffrey Lorry being able to front cash for these types of deals, lets them pro rate the cap hits.
And as a result, like, there's still a lot of flexibility there.
Can you hear me?
I lost Wi-Fi for a second there.
Yeah.
Okay.
You look great.
You look very tall, though.
You kind of got up here.
Here, we can both meet each other in the middle here.
What kind of bread do you think that Jalen Carter likes?
Like, if he's making a sandwich, what kind of bread would you expect that he's making?
If I were Jalen Carter and I had nine-figure contract over, like,
a six-year period. I'd be ordering like Parisian bread. I'd be ordering, I'd be getting my
bread from like a Parisian bakery. Okay. You seem so disappointed. Well, no, I'm trying to do the
math here. So like a good, it seems to me like a good loaf of bread. It's costing you about
somewhere between five and seven dollars. Yeah, but you're not going to the grocery store for your
bread if you have that much money. No, you're not. You're getting good sourdough. If you wanted to,
You know, you got 40.8 million guaranteed divided by, let's call it, let's call it a $7 loaf of bread.
Oh, so you're just looking, you're talking volume here.
Yeah.
That is 5802,850.
No, that can't be right.
That's not right.
48.
No, no, it's not 48.
40.8.
one, two, three, divided by seven.
Yeah.
That's 5,828,571 loaves of bread.
So you buy them all at once.
That's a lot of bread.
You stack them on top.
You can make a house on bread.
I am the bread, man.
Be a bad investment.
Food's a bad investment, you know.
That's an appreciation.
That's not going to age well.
You're going to have to work really hard to make all that bread worthwhile.
He's going to be clinging to that $5.
That's not crazy.
It's not a good investment.
Imagine the size of a loaf of bread that cost $40 million.
Oh, I don't think it would be size.
It would be like the, no, why, but imagine that is the way that you went.
If you had to make a loaf of bread that was to be a sandwich,
the length of the United States.
States, east to west, would that cost $40 million?
Yeah, because you'd be like...
What oven are you going to cook?
The world.
You wouldn't bake it.
You would probably treat it like real estate at that point.
What bread would you live in if you had to live in a house made of bread?
That's a good question.
Probably like...
White bread because you'd get a loan easier.
You don't need a loan if you have a house.
probably like a good crispy baguette because you need something with a strong
oh see i don't think you want crispy i think you want i think you want it softer
you want it soft in the middle but you want it crispy on the edges to keep everything out yeah
yeah but then it starts crumbling then you got yeah crumbs all over the place
it's high maintenance it's like a really old stucco it just like chips away yeah
yeah bad investment do you think we could get like do you think do you think
Do you think Jalen Carter would play along if we did a, you know,
what's your favorite kind of bread situation?
You know, one of those videos where it's like this or that and then one moves on,
when one moves on, like.
It sounds like a great wolf's then.
Rye.
I mean, if I'm Jalen Carter, I don't know if I'm eating a lot of bread.
Although, I don't know if you saw this pro football talk reported that there's a weight
clause in Jalen Carter's contract.
Yes.
Yeah, he gets like a quarter million dollars if he weighs whatever they want him to weigh.
It's not clear what the weight is, what the weight is for this clause.
but yeah, so he's probably not eating a lot of bread before training camp these days.
I mean, one of life's great joys, a good slice of bread.
I tend to agree.
Yeah, I mean, butter on a French baguette, you're not getting better than that.
That's the peak of food.
I actually got a cheese on a bread.
If you're in Paris, you're getting like a good, like, soft cheese.
Oh, yeah, like a camembert, a nice, a nice spreadable, brie-like cheese?
I like the ones that have a...
You're not getting better than that.
Yeah, like, I like a stinky cheese because I don't have a sense of smell.
So if it's really strong, that like, you know...
Yeah.
It doesn't, it can't overpower me.
Oh, the kind of cheese that you take a bite and all of a sudden you got a French mustache.
It's a lot of it hurts.
I did not expect a bit.
to be talking about bread.
Where are you on like a, like a whole wheat?
I mean, it's good for you, I guess.
But is bread ever really good for you?
Like, if you're going whole wheat,
it's good for you because it makes you happy.
But I'm saying, like, if you're going whole wheat to be healthier,
it's like, just eat the bread, man.
That's the thing.
That's the thing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, we got, we got E. Lara in the chat, who's celiac.
I'm sorry. This is triggering. I apologize.
I think gluten-free bread can be good, too.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
A lot of, I feel like, so what my cousin, she doesn't have celiac, I don't think,
but she is, she's gluten intolerant.
And she was gluten intolerant before it became, like, trendy to be gluten intolerant,
like she has a true intolerance.
And she talks about, like, how the trendiness of gluten intolerance has made gluten-free
options a lot better, actually.
Sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I hope that Ilar is getting
is getting good options out there.
You're like a garlic bread.
Yeah,
I mean,
come on.
Who doesn't love garlic bread?
Come on.
I'm not like that.
You like a,
you like a classic white bread?
No.
Yeah.
No way.
I actually don't get why people do it with barbecue.
It's like I get the,
I would rather do like a bag of chips or something
if I'm going to cleanse my pack.
Because you're eating barbecue.
You know, my son likes.
My son likes the Hawaiian bread.
I don't like the Hawaiian bread.
Neither do I.
I don't want the sweetness in my bread.
Yeah, but I don't need sweetness with my bread.
And also it's like always ham and Hawaiian bread.
And I don't like ham.
So I'm out.
Totally out.
And you went on seeds in your bread.
Like a multi-grain.
I like a seeded roll, like a cheesecake roll.
Oh, yeah.
You want those seeds on that roll for sure.
Yeah, the meta of cheese steaks, as we've made clear on the show before.
And we will tell you more about bread.
Maybe some other Eagle stuff in bread time.
It's almost a full year since you started.
We're filing the same page.
Going bread time at the same time and making each other laugh.
That's what it's all about.
We've been on the same page before.
What do you mean?
But yes, that was a good moment.
It is coming up on a year anniversary.
It's crazy, crazy to think.
All right.
What do you got?
What are your other Eagles notes?
I got one more thing for you.
So again, I was looking back at last season's training camp to start
and trying to figure out like, you know, how things compare.
And one takeaway that I had looking back at last year compared to this year
is that the health that the Eagles have across the roster
should not be taken for granted right now.
Listen to how ominous this injury report was from day one of Eagles training camp.
Oh, this is interesting.
So I didn't write down if they were limited.
or if they were out, but three of the four injuries were so, like, foreshadowing for the
Eagle season.
Okay.
Jalen Carter, shoulder.
He was limited.
I do remember that.
Jihad Campbell, shoulder, also limited.
Cam Juergens, back.
And then the only one that, well, I mean, it was ominous in a way, Kenyon Green with
the knee injury as well.
You know, now that one not necessarily stakes for the real season.
I completely forgot about the Kenyon Green Eagles era.
Because he had a knee injury.
But Jaylon Carlin.
shoulder, Jehad Campbell's shoulder, Cam Juergens back.
12 months later, we are still talking to each of those players about those injuries.
So, you know, again, don't take it for granted.
You know, as you look across the league at different training camps,
this is an optimistic time of the year, but you've got teams that are,
A, talking about contract disputes like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
and you've got teams dealing with injury concerns and injury crises just from the fact
that guys come and banged up.
So I think that contributes to what we talked about earlier.
This is like a good, there's a calmness around the team.
You know, they're at a good place going into trading camp,
and we'll see if that can continue under the season.
That's a really good point.
I'm glad you did that exercise.
Obviously, they were coming off of having gone to the Super Bowl,
so that's part of that.
It also is probably an important reminder that just because they say Jonathan Granard
is going to be ready for week one,
Yeah.
There's a good chance that this is going to be a problem for him all season long.
Yeah.
I mean, we will see.
But yes, the early indication, whatever it is, like I think, you know, last summer,
I probably would have come on the show and said like, you know, it's precautionary.
They're just limiting the time for Jalen Carter and Cam Juergens.
And sometimes that is true.
Sometimes it is just precautionary.
Sometimes it lingers.
So we'll have to see.
Yeah.
Okay.
It was good.
That was fun.
Thank you.
Yeah.
I, uh, I enjoyed this.
this. I'm trying to think if I had any other nonsense stuff for you.
No, I've gotten a lot of feedback on the watch, the watch request that I put out.
How about banana bread? Oh, the go.
Listen, we make a good banana bread in this house.
Oh, I was going to say, Julius' mom makes a mean banana bread. I haven't told you about this
before. My dad is like very respectful to everyone, especially my mother-in-law.
but he gets a little bit like demanding about the banana bread because she'll drop it off you know
she drops it off at my dad's house you know she's so my mother-in-law's so kind like she's like
I was just thinking of you so I made you this banana bread and like it's a kindness but my dad is like hey
where's that banana bread?
Yeah he's like oh I tore that banana bread up you know
for some more.
Love a love a banana bread.
Love a banana bread.
Although I don't love, I don't love walnuts in the banana bread.
If we're going to do it, let's just do chocolate chips.
Like, let's just go for it.
Knock knock.
Who's that?
Cash.
Cash, who?
No, thanks.
I had a walnut before.
Cash shoes are way better than walnut.
That's Jan's new favorite joke.
That's a good dad joke right there.
That's very good.
Radfrak, my watch request was, I'm, you know, I'm watch curious.
I was really taken aback by how much they cost
I was like I'll get some like stylish watches for the season
maybe like wear one when I wear a suit
and then I saw what they cost and I was like nah I can't do this
so I've been asking people for recommendations
but I have a lot I got a lot of good recommendations
but yeah if you have any reach out let me know
maybe comment below if you have a watch recommendation for me
knock who's there
Tires who
I'm not even wearing shoes
What are you talking about?
Not untied
Is it sad that that one took me a second to figure out?
That's one we made up.
That was a fun one.
That's good.
That's really good.
I'm going to have to write these down for baby school.
You know the other one we made up?
Yeah, let's do it.
Knock knock.
Who is there?
Interrupting snail.
Interrupting snail who?
Stop!
I don't get it.
That one I did not get.
Interrupting snail who?
No?
No.
You know the interrupting cow?
No.
You never heard this?
Interrupting cow?
Knock knock.
Am I another joke here?
Yeah, no joke.
Interrupting cow.
Interrupting cow.
That's the interrupting cow.
That would be good for a kid because they would just keep doing it.
Let's see.
We've created interrupting snail.
This is a playoff of that.
That's a good one because I could see a kid spending an hour doing,
the moo thing whenever you try to talk.
Just like the greatest joke of all time for them.
I can't believe we never heard that one before.
No.
I think that's a classic.
I must have lived a joyless life before I joined the P.H.O.I. Eagles podcast.
Time to live.
You know what? Sloth is good.
We thought, now listen, we invented this one this morning.
So I'm happy to iterate.
I think sloth might be better than snail, but we have another snail joke in the house.
so we're also playing off of that one.
Okay.
So the snail is like it's slow.
Then what's the sloth?
Also slow?
Yes.
You could, yeah, I mean, it could be a replacement.
You know, you want to know a snail joke?
Not really.
Okay.
Now I do want to hear it.
Let's hear it.
No, not if you're going to be like that.
The only thing tethering us from going and spending the rest of our day,
doing whatever we want to do.
Yeah.
It's like, you want to hear another snail?
Well, I will tell you this story.
This is very quickly.
Yeah.
I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, this was a couple, this was a little bit ago.
This was a couple of years ago.
I was working, uh, from home that day.
And the doorbell rang.
And like, I, you know, stop what I'm doing.
Go check the door and I didn't, you know, it was classic.
You don't see anybody there.
Um, but then I looked down and there was a, there was a snail just.
Hmm.
At the door.
So I got the broom and sort of.
swept the snail off of the stoop and got it out of the way.
And then just this past week, I was working from home again, and the doorbell rang.
And this was, you know, it had been a while since this had happened to me.
I opened up the door and nobody's there.
And I look down and there's a snail.
And the snail goes, what the heck was that for?
Bozo.
that's good that's good
my saga with the frog
did I ever tell you about the frog
no
a frog took over our driveway last summer
he was in the driveway
and I tried to push him
I had a push from this isn't a joke
this is a real this is my life
I wouldn't joke about this
I tried to push the frog once
frog doesn't move
I tried to push the frog a second time
what do you mean push
like with a push broom
oh okay
Because he's standing in front of the drive of the garage that I need to park in.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm a second time put a little more oomph into it.
The frog doesn't move.
So I'm like, all right.
I'm like revving myself up.
I'm going to give this frog a forceful push.
I got no choice but to move.
And as I get to the broom on the ground with the force,
the frog turns around and looks at me like, not again.
Don't you dare touch me again.
And I respected that frog.
I put my push broom up and I walked inside.
I was like, I'm not dealing with this.
I texted Julie, I was like,
well, you got alphaed by a frog.
I got gnaugged.
I just was, yeah, I said that this is the frog's dryway now.
We live on his property.
Yeah, I was terrified.
It was a big frog for the record.
All right.
I guess that's all we got. Good stuff.
SRG says you got frogged.
Eagles are back at practice tomorrow.
We'll have you covered on the PHL My Social Channels and on YouTube and your audio feeds, all that good stuff.
Thank you, Lindsay.
Thank you, everybody in the chat.
We'll talk to you for a regular show on Monday, but stay tuned for everything you need to know about tomorrow's practice.
And as always, we love you.
