Make it back two years later and in embarrass them in the Super Bowl. It's unbelievable. I'm like speechless. I mean, not hyperbole to say like the most dominant performance defensively in Super Bowl history. I mean, what the Eagles defense did tonight against Patrick from Holmes and Annie Reed and this Eagle

and his chief's offense. Here comes. Let's go. What? What the Eagles defense and this Vic Fangio unit did? Must. Stop! Vinny, what did you see if this Eagles defense tonight?

Straight domination. Straight domination. 40% plus on a depression. Oh, well, I'm so hype right now. Got me out of Mike. Come on. And we're going to have a merch link in the show description. Oh, Vinnie Bia.

Vanilla, this. I told you all, I'm going to buy me with this scorpion. I said, I told you so, but I told you so. So like throughout most of the game, Patrick Mahomes was pressured at like over 50% of the snaps. Late in the third quarter, it got down to 50%. It finished at 38 because they was just getting the ball out fast. That was still at 38% the most he's ever been pressured in a game ever. And for the most of the game, it was up over 50% just to give a people an idea of like what, how the Eagles dismantled that offensive line.

Insane. Let me tell you something. The man had the screensaver on there for a year of some change. You want to talk about a revenge game. You want to talk about getting your look back. Well, that's how you get your lick back. It's unbelievable. And as good as the defense was, Jalen played an awesome game.

I thought in the second half, especially, like, nursing that lead, like five or six, awesome plays. Obviously, the deep ball to Smitty, perfect throw. Great play call. I can't believe it. It's as good as a guest. Jaylen Hertz, MVP. He got it.

Just got it. That's good. That's good. Yeah, that's good. And then we talked about, a friend, we talked about down to, now the New Orleans,

but we was down there. Yeah. Everybody's like, oh, you know, it's going to be a blitz. I said, you know, blitz, you better make the play because you're leaving a whole open. And what did you see?

You see the man that extending the plays with his legs. Yeah. Yeah. Come on, man. Everybody in chat. Come on. Give me a thumbs up, a bird or something.

We turned up right now. This is unbelievable. And our TV's failing so we can't actually watch the ceremony. But Jalen Hertz is your Super Bowl 59 MVP. What a story arc for him. And Nick Siriani will get into all that. But Jalen Hertz, wow. He made a McIjorie commercial for his new show.

Yeah. Jalen Hertz, Super Bowl MVP, often criticized. you know, often, you know, his stats are dissected. And none of it matters because the man's a Super Bowl MVP and the Philadelphia Eagles are the champions for the second time in eight years. Three Super Bowl trips in eight years. The birds are the gold standard in the NFC. And soon we'll be punching wait for weight with the Kansas City Chiefs. Things are tremendous in the city of Brotherly Loeb.

It's pandemonium outside right. All you can hear is horns. People are hunking. They're about to turn up tonight. Oh, it's going to be great. Well, the fireworks started like a third quarter. Like you could hear like a little after a half time. You could hear the popping in Center City.

So people are probably running out of the fireworks here in Philadelphia. I mean, guys, like I'm like like the most superstitious person in the world. So watching a game with me is miserable. They're up 14. In fairness, in fairness, I would point back to the Rams game a couple weeks ago for reasons why I am. way. I just, I had my feet up the whole fourth quarter. That was unbelievable. Yeah, you cracked a beer. Eagles last, the last three Super Bowls are all three point games, uh, especially the last two barn burners win one. Vinnie won that one. And, and the one against the Chiefs last year, like,

classic games. And they told America, you're not getting a good Super Bowl tonight because we are going to whip these guys up front. Oh, unbelievable. But listen, when we was down in New Orleans, you could just look in these guys eyes. They was locked in. I got no, Jellon. Like, I didn't get to talk to him. You said it. Oh, we got to talk to the head by, but you know what? Go ahead.

I'm going to let you be locked in. And tonight, he showed us all. He was locked in Mr. MVP. Mr. O'No. Talking with people late in the week over the last couple days, even this morning, it felt like that first Super Bowl a couple years ago against this team, this is the first version of this team under Nick Siriani, under Jalen Hertz, a little emotional.

They let emotion get the best of them in that game out in the desert. They lose to the chiefs late in the game. And it was an emotional roller coaster ride. This trip down in New Orleans, all business guys were locked in from the jump. You said it Monday night, like leaving the media, the opening night down at the Superdome. You said these guys just looked locked in. And that was like that, that was the phrase you kept hearing from people inside the building over the course of the last few days. And it showed up.

I mean, this, they dominated this team on both sides. goes back to the belief, the core value system of this organization from Jeffrey Lurie, Howard Roseman on down on winning the line of scrimmage and continuing to replenish those resources on the offense and defensive line. How often did Jalen Hertz drop back tonight? And he had all the time in the world. The offensive line was dominant in the run game all season long. The defensive line took over this game. The number one reason they won this game. Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, you look at Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith. Those guys were in Patrick Mahomes face from the jump,

just a dominant performance on both sides of the ball on the line of scrimmage. I've watched a lot of Patrick Mahomes in my life. I have never seen him that unsettled. Vinny, his feet were all over the place, those typical Superman type of plays that he pulls out of his behind all the time. He was off on.

He was behind guys. He looked frustrated. He was seeing ghosts. Credit to the D-line, and they barely blizzed. How about this? When the last time you saw Andy Reed with a team with that many flags?

Yeah. Yeah, no question. I mean, they had no answers. That's what you call. Nick had his guy so locked in. Don't beat yourself. Yep. Don't beat yourself.

Man, I'm so happy for these guys, man. They had, as we can hear, the helicopters outside, the police sirens, the people chain in. Bring out the finest horse poop the city has to offer. Somebody will lead it. I'm trying to tell you. Are you signing up? Somebody. They needed to go in.

That sounded like you were signing up. No, no, no, no, no. Some idiot out there will take it. There's plenty of people to leave the worst poop, not me. But yeah, it's going to be an absolute scene. I saw they grease the poles down on Bourbon Street. So I know Zach is planning on hitting Bourbon Street when it's all over to capture some footage. Maybe have a hurricane.

We'll see. But what a remarkable season. I'm going to have a hurricane. Yeah, I mean, no, but he definitely will be having an hurricane. Just, yeah. I mean, just unbelievable win, unbelievable season. This is a team that was number one defense in the entire NFL from the jump, number one run game from the jump.

And we talked about it all throughout. It was like, man, like if the past game could be explosive, if the past game could be efficient. Jalen Hertz comes out tonight, 17 to 22 for 221, two touchdowns through the air. He added like 70 yards on the ground, some of it by design, some of it scrambles on third down, coming up with huge plays with his legs. again, just keeping this Chief's team off balance. I mean, they got into Chief's territory on nearly every drive.

It just suffocated them offensively. And defensively, we talked about just that four-man rush consistently getting home. All right. We got a third quarter. He had that he had that sack in the third quarter. I was like, man, he might get this thing. Uh, yeah, to end up with six pressures on the night, two and a half sacks, forced a tumble, forced an interception. Um, but I think when you look at Jalen Hertz, I just rolled through his numbers, the poise that he showed, the consistency that he

showed from start to finish in this football game. He had the interception where he was pressured in the first half, but outside of that, really the only blemish on his record in this game. I think you got to give it to Jalen Hertz. Rich, what do you got? Sweat, sweat was a good call, too. I was about to tear my rotator cup. I was doing the celebration so much during the game.

I'm going to give it to Vic Fangio. This guy is the godfather of modern NFL defense. He has been so influential over the past. Let's call it 15 years. So many disciples trying to replicate his system and try and, you know, make teams matriculate the ball down the field slow, has never won a Super Bowl, goes back to New Orleans, a place where he lost a very close Super Bowl a little over 10 years ago,

and he puts on one of the most dominant performances against a team that put on one of the most dominant performances against this Eagles team just a couple of years ago. And it's so great because like you just need the championship. Obviously what Vic has done to this point already was unbelievable. But this was the exclamation point. And nobody will ever forget that this was one of the worst defenses in the league at the end of last year. The turnaround from then to now, it's like unprecedented. And a lot of that, but a lot of that credit belongs to the players and Howie and bringing in the two, uh, the two rooks in the secondary.

But man, Uncle Vic Fangio, what a job by him. He is, I mean, he's as good as it gets, man. Vinnie, who's your Expedity Mobile game ball going to? You know what, man. I'm, I'm, I'm going. So many people you could go, man. I just like, but you know what? Let's go with the birthday boy.

The pick six. That was, I love it. That's the Devontere of the play of the game. That right there was kind of like, Musta! You know, I'm like, oh, it was crazy, man. So, well, I'm going to go with the birthday boy, man.

Yeah, Cooper DeGee. That was a hell of, like. You can see our reaction to it on our social media. Oh, my God. That play, that be your first. interception of rookie, pick six, in the Super Bowl to really get, like, snatch the momentum away, man, Cooper de Jr., you are my game ball MVP. I guess, I'm torn between Devante since you guys took some good one,

and that Zach Vaughn pick. But Milton Williams was everywhere. I'll go with Devonty. I'll give the Slim Reaper my Expedity mobile game ball. That was my second favorite play of the game. because at that point in the game, it's first down. As soon as they hiked it, I was just like, go for it, go for it, go for it. Because Rich, you said it.

They were expecting run. The Eagles were trying to get Sequan going at that point. And it was just like a kill shot over the top. Perfect ball to Devante. Hell of a catch. Hell of a throw. It was beautiful. And that's a guy who like sacrificed so a lot because number one, they're running the ball with Seekwan a lot.

Number two, like AJ is the go-to receiver. You know, Devante is one of the best receivers in the NFL. full stop. So for him to make that play, Jamie very close to his home in Louisiana. Getting the chance to go home, obviously has been one of our favorite players, was the guy who's, he was the draft pick that started the turnaround from the 2020 season,

has been here the whole way, has been here with Jalen for that time as well. Unbelievable. Really is. Let's run through some of the super chats we have here. So many. Wow, $100 from Polar, Jay.

our uh p hnx uh crew they're like up future arizona cardinal uh josh sweat brags in chicago Brad said the same thing about Milton Williams. Oh, future, future bear. Little Williams is like, guys, like, let's give the, let these guys celebrate tonight. And then we'll, you know, we'll talk about the offseason a little bit. But this is a team that obviously, look, they, I mean, they hit on all cylinders defensively in this football game. And yeah, they do have a bunch of free agents.

But look, they made all the right moves. They pushed all the right buttons a year ago last spring. They don't need to hit them all out of the park like they did last year. But, you know, if they got it. can bat 500, you'll feel pretty good going in the next year. I think Zach Bonn is, Milton Williams, like, damn, he's good. It's going to, hopefully you can hold on to him,

but I think Zach Bonn, you absolutely need to keep. Josh Swett, I've already accepted, probably is gone. He earned himself some big time coin out there. America was cheering for the Eagles. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's pretty awesome. Did they expect this, though? I don't think anybody expected this. But all in the chat, I mean, there's honking in L.A.

In Iowa, I've seen Oregon all over America. Everyone's celebrating Eagles win right now. It's pretty awesome. I mean, Jamie, this was perfect because, like, watching the end of that Bill's Chiefs game, which was a classic game. I was thinking, like, I think the Bills might be a better matchup, but beating the Chiefs would be so much more satisfied. I might have been wrong about the bills being a better matchup, honestly, too.

But this was so much better. Didn't have to beat the Lions, the commanders, didn't have to break their hearts, didn't have to beat the bills. And everybody was rooting for the Eagles tonight and they gave them what they wanted. I'd be one of the first to say, looking at the performance tonight, and the way them guys prepared to be locked at it. It didn't matter who they played tonight. No, I didn't want to get it tonight.

He was going to be victorious. Yep, 100%, Benny. And next up, we got Claude Debo Seh. Says, time to start dialogue about Chiefs fraudulent. Well, that's a hot take. Betterfield and they lose to the Eagles in 52. Don't deny that. George Toma, Rotten Hell.

And the Niners handed them the game both time. Go birds. I cannot agree with that for the most part. I don't think they're frauds. Patrick Mahomes is probably going to be the greatest quarterback of all. all time by all standards. But I like where your head's at. I like being petty.

I will say for whoever's fault the last Super Bowl was, it was nice to see that pass rush with cleats that work. Because you could see what they could do. And they got the Superdome, man. Shout out to the Superdome. I agree. Whoever was handling that field, nice work tonight. And honestly, like the entire city in New Orleans,

like outstanding host city for a Super Bowl. I saw someone around the league posted like, oh, every Super Bowl should just be in the New Orleans every year. I think I agree. I think after tonight I'm in for that. Yeah, I'm in. Todd Gephardt, another super chat, says, the show has been a big part of this amazing Eagles season for me.

Connor O'Neill says Sequin now has more than half as many wins as the Eagles as he does the Giants just want to get that stat out there. That's pretty ridiculous. That's crazy. He shouldn't be lost in tonight's story.

I know that he didn't have his greatest game and the Chiefs were very good and they sold out, but like he's the reason they're here. Imagine how happened. he is. Because, you know, Diana Rossini joined the show from Radio Row this week. And she was the one that sat down with him originally as soon as the news happened. And she was like taking aback how hard of a decision still it was for him to leave New York. And to come here and to have one of the greatest seasons, I mean, ever. And to do what he did, that's got to feel damn good.

You know, I think I get like a little, I really relish watching teams celebrate winning championships. Like I love watching whether it's the World Series, Super Bowl, National Championship in college, whatever it is. And you think about like all the work that goes into it, all the stories around all of these players. And even not just the not just the players themselves, but even like their families, I thought tonight of Seekoine Barclay's daughter saying like when he got said like, oh, we're going to the Eagles now. And he said, oh, does that, does that mean we win now? Does we get to win now? Like, uh, just stuff like that, uh, it's the one of the best things about sports. Yeah.

Just like see, especially like, once you get up to like the professional level, uh, just seeing all the time and all the sacrifice really come to fruition, uh, to get to that ultimate goal. Let's say it's one of the my favorite parts about it. The, the point this week where I became most confident was when I heard the voicemail from Sequin's daughter. Right. Where it was like, daddy, we're going to love you, whether you win or lose, but you can go

out there and win. And I saw Vinnie's pictures with a young Noah Curry celebrating. And like that human connection to the guys, it's such an easy and great team to root for. Like, there's nobody's really dislikable. Everybody's awesome. So really happy for Sequin that this paid off.

And us and all of us. But that's pretty damn cool. A Kai Bechton, Zach Bonn, you know, Quinion and Coot. Like all these guys that came in were new contributors. And then you help us slay.

You help a BG get a, second ring like it was just perfect. We're gonna have people popping in and out. We got it, we got a special guest right now I was wearing it. Oh, who we got? Do they have clothes on? Tyler's all. What kind of a question is that, Jamie? Come on now.

close to 30 years now. You know, so that they're extended families. You know, we're on generation two and three at this point. So it was just an unbelievable experience. All right, where their tears shed. Actually, you know, the funny thing is not as much. It was more elation today. And I think it's probably a combination of A, it's the second Super Bowl.

And B, it felt like a foregone conclusion for two and a half quarters. So this one was more party, pop champagne, celebrate elation, as opposed to, you know, the emotional outburst at the end of, you know, Super Bowl 52. It's a final play. So this one was more fun. At what point did you know game was over? Like this, at this point, like there's no way can't see he's coming back. Devante Smith touchdown.

That's it. That was the probably the second best ball that I've seen AJ, or excuse me, I've seen Jalen Hertz throw this year. The only other one to me that was, was better was the fourth down throw to AJ Brown two weeks ago. And I mean, just an unbelievably poised performance from Jalen Hertz tonight. I mean, ran the ball effectively, through the ball effectively, five and complete passes all night, almost 300 total yards, three TDs, just a

unbelievable performance from the Eagles quarterback. And all that guy does is win football games, guys. So Tyler, some big news tomorrow. You got to get to work, man. Yeah, it's going to be a quick turnaround and probably a long night because not only do we have, you know,

What do you got? We got. In five seasons, the man, the man is a six and three in the postseason. Yep. Two time pro bowler, an all pro, two NFC championships, two Super Bowl parentses, one Super Bowl MVP, and one Super Bowl win. Damn. And it's pretty good.

It hurts, you a bad boy, man. I don't know. You're a bad boy, man. You're a bad boy, man. God. He has won at every single level. Woo! Well, and I would also say,

too, like he has played his best football when the lights have been the breakfast. Absolutely. You take last week's NFC championship game and the two Super Bowls he has played in. I mean, that's outstanding stuff, some of his best games. Just go back to some of his quotes. Like, we all be joking like, man, this man got the quotes. But think about every quote, either you either learn from a loss or move on. The crazy quotes he was coming up, where he spoke this into existence tonight.

Yeah, he really did. He's his own Jim Murphy. I saw NFL Network earlier playing. game is this from inner excellence or jalen hurts and it was really funny uh and that's the other thing too i was just looking at the next gen stats so this was actually the third longest average time to throw for jalen hertz all season long and it's a great look at why people say like oh he holds on to the ball so long him holding on to the ball long is not a bad thing of itself it's what you do with the ball when you do hold it long that determines whether or not it's a good or bad play here

tonight that was a positive whenever he held the ball long he made good to decisions with the ball. He was able to find receivers late in the down. He only had five increases on the whole night. He had a couple that were throwaways. Chalind was awesome tonight. Several times tonight I said he's got all day. He's got all day. The past protection tonight, Fran, what jumped out to you? They were dominant. Yeah. They did not let those guys get home. One of the key plays was on the bliss, my boy, say, no question. That was the Dodson play. That was the Dodson play. It was awesome. That was awesome.

Crazy. Could you imagine if you did it, if you did a big wall? If you had Jahan Dotson opening touchdown, Jamie, and you missed it by that. The odds on that. I don't know. That would be like like a plus 4,000, $4,500. Insane. But no, so I think he's been like that. That's the thing is that like as good as he is as a runner, like the things he does

from like a dirty work standpoint, like eating the dirty yards between the tackles. It's not just like the big plays, the game breaking runs outside the number. but getting those dirty yards between the tackles, been the past protection stuff. I'm trying to remember who said this all. If the Eagles were in the AFC, they wouldn't be able to run that gauntlet. Who said that? The Eagles destroyed. Every AFC team they faced this year. They crushed Baltimore this year. Just insane take.

The fact that they were underdogs in this game was crazy. It was wild to me. You were just betting on past stuff. There was nothing this year that suggested that. They have better players everywhere. And it goes back to like this thing of quarterbacks got to throw for 300 plus yards. That's what that comes from.

He's not good. And this is so satisfying to see him get this on this stage. and get it done the way that he did it, even when the interception happened. It was like, so what? That was basically a punt. I would have liked those three points, but that was basically a punt because you got them pinned

inside the five yard line, and then they come right back down and get a score anyway because they turn them over once again. This was fantastic. Hey, Devon, look, look, if it wasn't no social media and everything was like the old school ESPN, he'd be the greatest quarterback of all time right now.

100%. 100%. Back in the day, that's how they play. And it's his fault that he played complimentary, I mean, he played good team football. You know what I mean? All the man does is win. And show up when the lights come on.

When the lights get brighter, he has a hell of a game. That's all that's more of this. The reason why, of course, we can talk about the defense, but yeah, we know the difference might have been the turnover that he had. But guess what he came right back and scored

on that play? He does what he does to Washington, two weeks ago in the NFC championship game when everybody was sprinkling all the praise on Jayton Daniels was going to be a fantastic quarterback but he showed up and he did his thing and this was great to see him do this, the dual threat they sold out to stop Sequin Barkman.

He was like, okay, cool. All right, cool. That's fine. The man did with no quarterback in the history of the Eagles organization that got the two Super Bowls. Two. Those were just facts. That's it. That's it.

know the game was over tonight? All right. So the first the first one was really when Dijin, like you guys said, got the interception and took it to the house. I was like, oh, okay. And then when they came back and they started physically abusing Patrick Mahomes in that offensive line again, I'm like, oh, they can't, and there's no blitz. They're doing this with the four-man front and they cannot stop them. And once that happened, and then later on when Devante caught that deep pass and that was. it. You know, it was like, all right, this is, this is done. You can't even, I couldn't even really get emotional and all that because this was well in hand a long time ago. And, but

it was great. It was a great feeling. So that's what I felt like I knew after DeGine got to pick six and then later on following up with, with the touchdown of Devante Smith. It was great, man. I got to say, I think Devante was like feet up. Hell yeah, let's party on broad. But that Cooper DeGine picked six, that's kind of when I felt it. Like, I, I just felt that it was kind of team of destiny. Especially when it seemed like he was really confused. He didn't know what he didn't know what he was seeing. The coverages and how they mix it up the way that they did.

And they had Patrick Mahomes confused of where he was going with the football. So that was amazing. Vinny, I didn't want to ask you this, though, Vin. When you are a defensive lineman and you guys are starting to feast like that, again, with just a four-man front, How were they just getting there the way that they were so easily from my couch, of course. They come in bunches like that. Once they come in bunches, whoever got the high hand first, that's what they slide through.

And now it's the next guy that really takes off. Now, you go there, Jayman Carter was getting double team. And then when it was made the most of what we saw all season, you know, that was just crazy. And then they missed a few calls that was holding penalties. That was pressure coming from, definitely coming from that left side. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Just amazing, man.

So, Devon, where'd you watch the game? Who'd you watch it with? What was the vibes? So I'll just go back to last time they were there, they lost. I was working. I was out with a lot of people. I didn't like that. When they won, I was with my family, my immediate family, you know, my girls and all that.

And so we all sat here, just us, and they got the W. So my youngest looked at me and said, I think we know what the formula is going for. forward. Yep. We locked in for life. Yeah. Yep. I'm just like Rich. The superstition is there. I don't do anything any different than what's working and it worked for a second time. Yeah, Devon, I said to these guys earlier, there was a point in my life where I accepted I was probably never going to see an Eagle Super Bowl. Yeah. Now we've got two. Spoiled. Look at you. Spoiled. And these kids, these kids don't know how lucky they are. I just told my son that.

He's like, yo, you see me arguing, and he was like, dad, I don't understand why you arguing, why he's talking like, like the Eagles ain't this?

And I'm like, so he said, he said, dad, he's a cowboy guy. I was like, you just don't know. You just don't know.

I went to the radio station at like three in the morning, went on early, stayed awake and then the next day people were like well we got to go drinking the eagles won the super bowl and i was like all right yeah cool so you get that adrenaline i slept for about 17 minutes the night of the uh the the eagles win in 2018 love it i wrote a story about the philly special

it's great night oh yeah i wonder what story what they're going to write about this time i mean it's the d line yeah well i will ask zach a little bit i i got i think for zach it'll be what's the first line is it going to be jalen hertz winning MVP or is it the defensive line dominance my guess is that sometimes likes to break it up might be MVP because two of those guys with the line man like we're going to be sad we were writing about them and we can't retain them and they're not going to be here yeah yeah it'll be interesting and zach and beau are going to be joining us from the super dome but they're out in the locker room probably getting drenched in a little champagne maybe some light beers are flowing not for them but you know people

We'll be spraying and it's going to be a party in there. Vinnie, I feel like we've asked you so many questions about what it's like to be an NFL player this year. But what is that locker room like after you win a championship? It's pedinomious. Oh, man, it's pedimonium. Like, especially like, you know, everything you go through, you know, from the ups and downs, the highs and lows throughout the season and to finally come out on top, victorious, holding that Lombardi trophy. It's not like it. And it's surrounded by, you know, your family and friends.

And people don't understand how much time really going to this game. You spend more time with your teammates, coaches, and coaching staff, than you kind of do at home for a couple months. Yeah. And that's really, really rare. So when you see some of the arguing or the shouting at each other stuff, like, you can't take it with a grand assault. Like, you can't take that too extreme because.

just like, you get aga me, man, get nagging me, you know? But it's just when you're around somebody for so long and so much, you might need to break. You might need to talk about something. You might need to break. And, like, that's how what I feel about this season. I feel like all the way up to that biweek, you saw perseverance and you saw, okay, let's just talk it out like the brothers we are

and they're going on a crazy run the way they did and come out on top. Man, it's crazy, man. So what actually have, are people looking to get out of that locker room relatively quick? Are they enjoying the party? How? Can you go back to the hotel, friends and family meet up? Post-game party right now? Listen, right now, so you got about 25 more minutes, 25 more minutes.

They're going to say, hey, all-family jump on your bus or wherever. Have you get into the Eagles post-game party? That's where you're going. At the hotel. The players will meet you there. No, they said they have it a separate venue. Every, each, both teams have a post-game party. And obviously, the mood is dictated by how the game goes.

But, I mean, what's the best story you could tell from the party in the 17? I got the video on the phone. I have a lot of videos. My phone. Do you remember we broke the damn stage? Yeah. Because you guys were all jumping up and down. Yeah, jumping up and down.

And that's not going to twist it. I'm pretty sure the way the players was locked in, they had a little drinking drink. We're ready for afterwards. Oh, I bet. So think about you having to drink and it's passed around. By the time you get off that bus to that party, you're already feeling nice. You're already in the Matrix. You usually have some kind of musical performance.

We had Cardi B in 2017, which, there you go. So it's a small venue. I would imagine Gilly the kid will be up on the stage at the post-game party. Yeah, but they would have book, they'll book a separate artist. Like, Gilly, the kid is just like, all right, like, he's got passes. He'll be there. But, like, they would have booked somebody else. I wonder who the, I'll see if I can get info.

Yeah, yeah, see if I can get some intel. Yeah, yeah, see if you can find that out. That'd be cool. Now, like this celebs like Bradley Cooper and Ann Hathaway and all these Eagles type of fans, do they all get invited to this type of party too? Is it? Yeah, I would think so. For anyone that wants to go, I would think that they would have gotten a couple passes to get in there.

That's pretty great. Yeah, the party in 17 was not. I didn't go to the one in 22, but in 17, it was pretty awesome. Yeah, it's pretty great. New Orleans is a great city to do it in, too. And then what happens is the first flight out? in the morning type of thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And then you, like, for me, went to the party or whatever, but I was just like, I was still in awe. Some people didn't sleep. Oh, there's, oh, oh, oh, there's a big fireman that's out the window. But so, yeah, some people didn't sleep, man, some people parted all night. Um, but like I said, that was, this, this was like, the fireworks are out. This was special, man, it was special, man, so I'm just so happy for the footage. And then walk us through the rest of the week.

And then walk us through the rest of the week. So you get back home Monday. Do you have to go in? Is it clean out? Like, and then you're just getting ready for the parade? Like, how does that week after a victory, like, play out for you? Monday, you get off that play. Well, we got off the plane, it was.

What did you think, Fran? Like, maybe got it had to be like 10,000 people out there when we got off the plane. Well, we got off the plane. Oh, yeah, easy. So it was like, it was craziest at the airport. All the way down to the home line. Yeah, all the way back to those.

So that'll be that'll be tomorrow They'll have time off for one I understand Parade's gonna be Thursday And if the weather is bad I think it's gotten better Yeah predictions But Friday would be the weather day It'll get done because they're not gonna

They're not pushing it to next week Because players and coaches are trying to get out of town Yeah they're one of vacation It's been a long year so those guys are getting out So my guess is is that it'll happen Thursday Unless the weather is like really really bad And otherwise it would get bumped to Friday I think it's supposed to rain on Thursday

We were talking about it late in weekend in New Orleans as if it was a definite and then we were getting to Zach was getting texts from people offset saying oh maybe not so fast it might not be that way so but it does seem like

it's a shoe and to be internal friend you know the staff fairly well if it's not Kevin does he leave if somebody else gets it no I don't I mean I don't speak for him but my guess is I don't I don't think so I would say if it's not Kevin that it would be an external hire like you would you basically if If it's going to be an internal hire, it's probably going to be Kevin Petullo. Okay. That would be my guess. But, yeah, we'll see. I mean, that's something we're going to have to.

Obviously, it'll be a big discussion point here in the coming days is it sounds like Kellynne Moore is, you know, it's going to be a new world saint. Oh, he is. Shefter, she tweeted it early this morning. Right. It's done deal. So, Kellyn Moore, congrats on your payday. Shame you're going to such a crappy organization with the way they're run.

But Vic Fangio. One good thing here is, look, when you're a team that wins, you're going to lose coaches. That's the way it is. It's a good problem to have. But the lovely thing here is Vic Fangio appears kind of like settled. Like I don't think we have to fear losing Vic anytime soon. Yeah. I mean, there's the chance that they could lose some assistance to, you know, potential

defensive coordinator opening. You know, I know there's a couple of those jobs still available. We'll see if Kellan Moore tries to bring anybody with him as well. My guess is he will probably bring the quarterback coach, Doug Nussmeyer, with him probably to be his offensive coordinator. You know, we'll see about that. But yeah, I mean, they'll lose some assistance here along the way. They'll lose some free agents.

But that's why winning this game was so important. You had to be able to come away with this W to be able to say, you know, we climbed that mountain top and we got the job done. And they were able to do it. Business. Yeah. That was the word from Nick Siriani. And one of Vic Fangio's messages to the team and when they got to New Orleans this week.

And Vinnie, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. He said, guys, you're unbelievable on turf. You allow 11 points per game on turf. You're fast at every single level. It was something he kind of tattooed in their mind to try and build that confidence. And it played out. I mean, that last touchdown doesn't even count. That's against second stringers.

Vic was right. This defense is incredible and they're really good on turf. All right. So I got a couple questions. So we go back to what you guys were saying. is this the best Eagle team, right? You guys are saying?

For Philly, Philly team, period. Okay. Yeah. So Jimmy Johnson or Vic? Ooh, that's good to that. This is one of those things

because it's only been one season. Jim Johnson had such a great career for, I had a bunch of great defenses for a long time. But this is a better season than Jim Johnson. But this ain't in mind you of that, though? No, no question. This was crude.

Like, this, this is the, boy, this was crazy. Yeah, I think, and that's what they're hoping for when you bring him in is that he would be that Jim, like he's going to be here until they don't want to coach anymore. And everybody knows I love Jim. This was, this was amazing. Yeah. This was amazing. It's a great performance. I mean, the number one defense, the youngest defense in the league, which when I think when you pair the two together makes what he did really impressive.

Yeah. They'll lose some guys, but there's going to be a lot of fun to be had in these future years with Vic Fangio and the young quarter. of players on this team. Absolutely. And you hope you can keep them all, but like the young bulldogs with Cooper and Quinyan, you have a foundation here that that defense is going to be fairly locked in for a little bit.

And they had Patrick Mahomes in absolute hell tonight. Can I throw some next gen stuff? Absolutely. Hit me. Hit us. All right. Here we go. This is all next gen stats.

So the Eagles did not blitz once against 42 drop, or on 42 dropbacks in Super 1st. Super Bowl 59, becoming just the fourth defense to not blitz in a game in the next gen era. Wow. Relying on their front four, the Eagles generated 16 pressures in sack Patrick at home six times his most in a game in his career. The Eagles played zone coverage on all but two dropbacks in this game, specifically using cover four on 59.5% of dropbacks.

That's the third highest rate by any defense in a game since 2018. So they just played a shit ton of cover four. and didn't blitz, didn't just rely on the four-man rush. Vic Fangio's defense held Mahomes to his worst performance by EPA in a game his entire career. Josh Sweat generated team high six pressures on 34 pass rush snaps in the Super Bowl, including a career high, two and a half sacks. He was disruptive on early downs, recording four pressures and every single one of his two and a half sacks on first and second down with a 16.7 pressure rate.

Sweats, six pressures, all came against five. five different chiefs blockers. Oh, my God. Oh, that's a cool. That's a cool stat. Six pressures in a game, Vinnie. On the biggest stage.

And he forced that interception by Bond, too. Yeah. Bull rush getting right into Mahomes lap. Despite not facing a single blitz, Patrick Mahomes was pressured on 38.1% of his dropbacks in the chief's loss in Super Bowl 59. His fifth highest pressure rate faced in a single game in his career. When under pressure, Mahomes completed just,

There's three of nine passes for 43 yards while taking six sacks. As a result, Mahomes generated a career low minus 19.3 dropback EPA, his first postseason game with a negative EPA since the AFC title game loss against the Bengals in 2021. Wow. Dominant. so, friend, you mentioned all the cover four that they played. And I think that probably got lost in it a little bit. Just following along on Twitter, there were some people who were at the game who were saying like, yeah, I mean, the Eagles front four,

they're getting home and they're doing an awesome job. But the back seven, their coverage was sticky, the entire game. And that's what defense is, right? Part of it is being able to cover. Part of it's being able to get to the quarterback, but it shouldn't get lost that the back seven, they played that cover four and they played it perfectly all night.

Yeah, I think, you know, that was one of the fun parts about seeing some of the clips that were being shared on social media, Rich, was that, you know, you had a lot of people that were like fans at the game, tweeting out video. And you're saying, I'm like,

all right, like, now I can see the coverage because they weren't shown a lot of the coverage on the, on the broadcast. So you could see like, oh, they're just playing cover four. Oh, they're just playing cover six. third down. This is what they've done all season long. And they're just, they're relying on a corner, you know, like it would be Quinyon Mitchell

one-on-one with Travis Kelsey on the back side. And now you've got four DBs over three receivers in the other side. And it's just taking away everything. When you have when you have that, and that's the thing about when you have the ability to just get home with your front four. And Vinnie, I know that this was a big thing with Jim, right? With Jim Schwartz was like,

if you can get home with four and you leave seven in coverage, like that gives you such a huge advantage going into any single snap on a dropback. Man, and that goes to show you what type of DBs you got on your team. Yeah.

Today, like I said, like, wow, they were clicking on awesome lives. Like, Mahomes was bad the night, but he was bad because of the Eagles. Because the other 10 guys were winning their matchup

What this team has done consistently under his ownership.

And my big takeaway is that the Eagles are the gold standard. Jeffrey Lurie is one of the best owners in sports. And I am really happy, not only for Eagles fans, but for this ownership group, that they are the best in the NFC. That's my big takeaway. Yeah. For me, I mean, my big takeaway, this Eagles defense is going to be a problem for everybody

moving forward. And look, defensive success, it's been proven in the NFL that is typically not sticky year over year, over year. there are there are so many parts of it that are volatile the eagles that they did a great job of staying healthy this season i mean they were healthy for all the way up into the playoffs nikobie dean got injured but i think when you look at the way that this unit is coached when you look at how young this group is development is not always linear guys don't always go you know better better better better but i think at the end of the day when you look at all the young talent you know they're going

to continue to add to no one swiss is going to get better yeah i know it's going to get better jel lank do you expect to take a jump more. Ojima, you expect to take a jump, right? So even if you lose Milton Williams, even if you lose Josh Sweat, if you lose some of these players, they're going to continue to add talent.

And again, with that coaching, this defense is going to be a problem for a long time. Hunt also had a great game, man. Dude, that rush. That sack was his best rush. He teed that up so perfectly, Vinny,

with setting up that speed to power rush. He did. Think about him. Late third round pick. We were, the sickos, we were delirious with Zach and Boe on that night. Day two of the draft.

You know, are they going to take, Franklin a receiver they're going to take a linebacker they go with jaylux hunt the uh the converted safety and i mean that kid is just you see you see why they were intrigued by the like the athleticism jumps off the page oh for sure there was a there was a there was a step i'm trying to remember exactly what it was um but it was something along the lines of there were like five players that were as long like in terms of like his wingspan and as explosive within like the the jumps uh like the the the broad jump and the vertical jump at the combine,

and it was like Miles Garrett, and like three other guys that were all pro bowlers, and it was Jalick's hunt. Like, that was it in terms of like day one and day two picks. I mean, just a freaky,

freaky physical specimen. And if he can continue to put it together, I mean, this was supposed to be like a pure red shirt year for him. I was just going to say, I didn't expect any contribution from him at all this year. The guy was a safety in the Ivy League, like three years ago.

That's unbelievable. We got a special guest. Oh, who you got for the surprise. You know, boys. They did it, boys. They did it. Not only did they do it, they kicked their ass.

I mean, this was a dream. Guys, I can't tell you as the senior member here of all the years that we have, you know, the Andy years, right? Like Vinny knows it firsthand. You guys know it. And to have this game, pure dominance, oh my God, you want to talk about depicting the city of Philadelphia? This is our dream, right? A team that wins with defense, a running game, a quarterback who is unsung, right, who played just beautifully tonight. It was amazing.

It was just such a beautiful night. Forgive me, guys. It's been a celebratory moment. because when did you know that this game was over? Like what play happened where you were like, they got this? You know, honestly, and I'm sure you guys felt the same way,

the first couple drives of the game, when they were able to stop Mahomes like that, like one of the things why I think we liked them, and I was talking to the bro before the game, talking to you guys before the game, is the fact that they dominate, they're dominant on the fronts, right? They're so dominant from that defensive,

line. And when you saw Jalen Carter, he's the greatest. I mean, my God. You know, Franey, how many times have we talked about Jalen this year? I mean, week after week, he shows you dominant. No question. And that line, they couldn't do anything. They couldn't get into their offense. And like, you know, I'm sure you get to read all this stuff early. Like when you see that sort of dominance. There's nothing like that nobody can scheme. Like a coach has no answers for when you're looking

up at that kind of pressure. So, Ant, the question got posed, I think Vinnie actually posed it. Jim Johnson or Vic Fangio? Wow. Wow. It's a tough one.

It is, but I think Vic is tremendous. I mean, he's amazing. And, you know, because I'll probably always take Jim, I love Jim, and I knew him really, really well, was real close to him. He didn't have that. He didn't have Carter, right?

Like, he didn't have that beast that where everything went to. And as great as Trott and Trott's my main man, you know, we did a show forever. I love him. What Zach Bones doing is different. Like, Trot would blow up. the A gap and it was a different style of defense. What Zach Bond has done all year long and tonight and then Cooper, I mean, Eagles are so good up the middle.

It's uncanny. I mean, those two plays. Think about the first half and, you know, and listen, I thought Jaylin played really well, you know, the whole game and he had a great first half. But they went because of their defense, right? Like field position, turnovers, the pick, six. by Cooper de Gene, right? Like all that stuff, they were driven

by their defense. And the personnel, I mean, guys, how are we bad? How we killed it? I mean, he absolutely slayed it. I mean, that personnel and defense was just overwhelmed. Mahomes didn't know.

I saw Andy, and I know Andy Welvin, you know him, like, he was frustrated. I could see early. He knew it. He was completely frustrated. When the dust settles, I can't wait to talk to him because he, I can tell him, he had no answers. There were no answers to that pressure that was constantly in the home's face. I mean, it was, it was beautiful.

It was Philadelphia dominance. Hey, Cuss, so do you think, like, from, like, here's my, when you just sitting back and I'm watching the game, some of the risky stuff that Mahomes do running backwards, running side of the side, that got his ass in trouble because he ain't know how far. as, you know, this Eagle defense, as he messed around and found out tonight. But do you think that was a big key as well? Like the things that that's 50-50 risky

that usually get them out of trouble and that bailed them out late in games, did you think that hurt him tonight? Yeah, I mean, you know, listen, he's a magician, right? And I think he's had to be a magician all year long. Their offensive line is not good, right? Like, you know, they get tuning out to tackle.

And Tudy's a really good guard. He's not a great tag off, right? You were weakened throughout. That line is not good. And all that magician stuff that he does, I thought he had to do it out of necessity. But the Eagles stole his rabbit tonight. I mean, that's the bottom line.

They snatch that thing. He had no magic left. He couldn't do anything. And then you're right. Look at how. The thing that stood out to me, too, was look at Josh Wet. Josh Wet, who was a guy that would always, you know, over-pursue, he would, you know, be out of position. He stayed home.

He played a great game. I mean, every one of those guys, J. Alex Hunt, right? Jordan Davis, obviously Carter, Nolan Smith. But sweat or Jomo. sweat, I mean, stayed home. I thought that was the key. I just thought the Eagles front just, you know, set the tone. And they, he had no answers, man.

Like, that was it, man. All that stuff that he does, he couldn't be. He couldn't play it any way else. Any way else he couldn't play it because they had no answers for the Eagles. So the Eagles apparently just tweeted it out. The parade is going to be on Friday. Friday, baby. Hooray!

Jalen Hertz rises to the occasion again. I mean, these two teams did not even belong on the same field in this game. It was unbelievable, and they were celebrating like that is exactly what they did, because that's what they deserve.

You saw Siriani coming around with his Stogie and celebrating. You saw like all the other personnel people and staff celebrating. Vic was like the one guy who was absolutely not a part. of it. He did his job up in the boot and he was, he was moving on. The word from the chat was that he did smile on the, on the podium, like in the post game celebration. So we got that at least out of Vic Fangio. Bo, if you had to, what do you call it? Store crank. Is that what you call the win? Sure. Okay. You had to rank the,

the top three celebrators from the locker. Who, who was the craziest in that locker because the video that you've posted? It's just outstanding on your timeline. We've been showing a lot of it here on the show. Oh, that's tough. There were, you know, there were a couple guys who were, like, in the middle of everything. One of them was Andre Sam. Shout out to Andre Sam.

Wow. Wow. He really celebrated. Like, he was Super Bowl MVP. Fantastic performance. Nolan Smith, I think you would expect is, you know, is a pretty jubilant guy. I'm trying to think of it. I mean, it was such madness.

And the beautiful thing about that scene is, is it's like a Robert Altman movie that's dating me. But like every little person has their own story that is so beautiful. Like you've got A.J. Brown who's just sort of sitting in contemplation in his locker, celebrating with a couple people talking about it. You've got Jalen Carter who's celebrating at first. But then so like their lockers here are sort of you can stand on them. And so everybody who's in their locker is like standing above the fray.

And Jalen Carter is sitting there or standing there rather with his shirt off. Stogie in mouth and just like looking out on the scene. Once Sequin got in, he was very much in the middle of it and dancing with his shirt off. That was fun to watch. And then like you get Jalen's arrival when he comes. It's really cool.

I mean, everybody in that locker room, this is what they've been working so hard for. And it's not just the players. It's not just the coaches. It's the personnel staff. It's the trainers. It's the, you know, it's the locker room staff.

Like all of these people who have given so much of themselves and sacrificed for months on end was for this and now they get to celebrate. It's a beautiful thing. So, Bo, Jalen Hertz gets his MVP award.

Everybody can shut up now, right? Now I got to here's what you got to say because I will tease it to Zach because when Jeffrey Lurrie walks off the field to celebrate his second Super Bowl championship,

he points at one person. He points at Zach Berman. And then after the post-game celebration, Zach is the one who starts getting face-time with Jeffrey Lurie. Zach, I cannot wait to hear what he told you. Am I on? Yes. Got me?

Oh, great talking to you guys. I mean, I'm excited for this. Yeah, I spoke to Jeffrey Lurie, and he was talking about the emotion in the moment, how he wanted this. for Philadelphia. He spoke about Jalen Hertz having that clutch gene, something he spoke about this week.

He said of all the questions he had going into this game, Jalen Hertz wasn't one of them. He expected this from Jalen Hertz, raved about Howie Roseman being the best GM in football. Talked about the talent that this team had, but also talked about the togetherness, talked about the resolve that they had. He spoke quite a bit about,

like the work that went in to getting this point. He thought they would do this two years ago. I asked him, like in your wildest dreams, could you have imagined the game looking like that? And he referenced the way they played in the NFC championship. He's like he thought it was possible. And he spoke a lot about Vic Fangio and said, he just wished they got Vic Fangio a year ago.

He said that was always the plan. But you could see he was taking it in. He got, you know, he was even dancing. You know, I would add to what Bowes said, Howie Roseman was enjoying himself quite a bit. There was a little, you know, how he was in the middle of that circle quite a bit there. So, yeah, I think both summed it up well as far as that locker room scene.

But speaking to Jeffrey Lurie, you could see the pride that he had in this team in particular. So, Zach, everybody in the chat wants to know, is book number three getting started? You know, I got to get home. We got to talk to my wife. There's a lot. There's a lot we've got to go through. But yeah, it's certainly, it will be fun to dig in.

This team has a great story to tell. And that locker room scene was unique, right? Like I reek or maybe some people say it smells good of cigar smoke right now. I have champagne beer all over me right. now. So, you know, I talked about using the senses. I wasn't drinking in there, but, you know, there's, you know, you're getting sprayed left and right. And, you know, the embraces, I thought Bo put it well from, you know, people from all sides of the building. And yeah, Bo hit on the head with Andre Sam. You know, I've gotten to know Andre Sam a bit this year. And Andre Sam came up to me,

Who do you think he facetimes? Fletch. Maybe he, maybe he, maybe he, maybe he, did at one point when I was there it was Jason Peters. He was holding Jason Peters up. You could see Jason Peters. I got a photo of it. And he calls Jalen hurts over and Jalen and well, well, Jalen was actually looking

forward before Brandon Graham because Jalen wanted Brandon Graham to come in the middle and to celebrate Brandon was over by his locker going through. But yeah, I thought both something up well in terms of like A.J. Brown, W. J. Brown wasn't dancing. AJ Brown was like sitting in really savoring the moment, but there were other guys for getting after it. So a question for both of you. We've been batting this around a little bit.

Is this the greatest Philadelphia sports champion ever? Well. And thank you to True Mark Financial for presenting the locker room report there as we wanted to see the full frontal of Zach Berman. Well, I mean, after all that secondhand smoke and secondhand alcohol, you might get it. I'm looking up the exact brand of the alcohol while Bo speaks. So Bo can answer that question.

I'm going to get you the exact brand because, you know, I've got to get all these pertinent details here. So I, yeah, getting the exact thing here. I guess it's hard for me to think of the other sports, but I would have to think so because this team. I mean, think about it. I was thinking about this before the game, all the focus on like what place the chiefs would have in history if they cemented having a three Pete, right? Yeah. But what about the place in history for this Eagles team?

When they had AJ Brown and J. and Jalen Hertz finish the game, they were undefeated this season. They didn't lose a single time, right? The three times they lost, J. Lerts gets knocked out, AJ Brown gets knocked out, and then the game in Tampa,

they didn't have A.J. Brown. Now, you can make all kinds of excuses for other teams, but this team is so good. And they really played like two or three, complete games all year long. They were so talented. This game to me was interesting. I felt like the Chiefs game plan was,

we are not going to let Sequin Barclay beat us, and we are not going to let Jalen Carter beat us. And the Eagles said, okay, we will let the 20 other players on the field dominate this game every single one of their matchups. I mean, they were the defensive line in the first half. I've never seen anything like it. It was unbelievable.

So yeah, I do. I think this is the best Eagles team. of all time. And I think considering like who they beat how dominantly they beat them, maybe it's recency bias, but yeah, it would be hard for me to think of a better team.

When it comes to that defensive line, guys, was there a moment when you guys thought like, oh yeah, this game is over or this game is maybe early on. You thought, okay, this is a completely different type of thing. Was there like a moment that stood out that was like, oh, okay, this is a rep? Yeah, so

I'll jump in there. Well, I thought the game was over, really, in the third quarter when Kansas City didn't come out on that opening drive and score. That's when the defense kind of continued that dominance there. Obviously, I thought Devante's touchdown was like, you know, that sealed it essentially. But I thought that opening drive was going to be critical. As far as how the game was going to go, it was probably the Cooper DeGine pick six because the pressure. that they were getting there. I mean, Josh Sweat, I got to tell you,

I was close to voting for Josh Sweat for MVP, man. I think you might have. Maybe you should have. You are a voter. Yeah, so there's 16 voters, and I'm one of them, but, you know, Bo's my man,

or I'm Bo's man, however you want to frame it. So I kept saying the Bo, who should I vote for? Who should I vote for? We're a couple. And we joked on the show. We joked on the show that if Josh,

and it was met as a joke when I revealed that I was a voter during Swooper. And Bo's like, so if Josh Sweat wins, we know Zach rigged it, right? And then he has two and a half sacks. And I said, I said, if he gets one more and he breaks Reggie White's record, I need to vote for him. Yeah. But then Jaylon Hertz had those two drives back to back, you know, where he has all the rushing yards, and then he throws the touchdown Devante.

It's like, okay, Jayon clinch this. But to answer Rich's question, I believe it was, it was. richest question. It really sunk into me on the pick six that Kansas City can't move the ball and Patrick Mahomes has no time whatsoever. By the way, so yeah, because I don't know if any other show is giving you this, this, this detail here, okay? The champagne they were just drinking, and you got to apologize for my ignorance here. Yeah, a matter of fact, there was never or there was not a victory speech. You know, if you remember, 2017, we were in there when Doug gave the victory speech. There was no victory speech this time. It was the party just kept going on. And my guess is the party's going to keep going on tonight as well.

Zach, I got a title for you. What's understood, don't have to be explained. Ooh. There you go. You're right. You're right. You know, giving you some scene coming off the field. By this let me just add on Jalen here, Zach,

because in addition to, we know that Jalen is very aware of like the iconic Jordan photographs. right? And I think he was going out of his way to recreate some of those, the lighting that you just mentioned. And then when the whole scene was over and the reporters were leaving the locker room and the lights were up and they had sort of turned the music down just a little bit, everybody's supposed to sort of get ready and get on the bus and go to the celebration. Jalen turns the corner. He goes down a little alleyway, a hallway, and he sits down on the ground against the alleyway with the Lombardi trophy to pose for those pictures. Right? It's, it, it, And it's very reminiscent of the Jordan photograph. I think he knew exactly what he was doing. And it is a great, it's a great shot. And you do have to feel very good for Jalen Hertz after everything he has been through. I was disappointed he didn't show up for this game and come out of the tunnel in a straight jacket.

But nevertheless, he was a man at the moment. And Bo, to your point, the Jalen Hertz, Mike Jordan collection commercial did air after the game. So I do not think that was a mistake one bit. something that comes to mind. And I keep saying Vinny can appreciate this, but I imagine Vinny will appreciate this. Some of the biggest embraces that you saw in particular were the players the training staff, right? Like Brandon Graham had some real emotional hugs with the training staff. You could just imagine, like the team doctors.

You can just imagine what goes into getting them to this point, to get Brandon Graham to this point. Man, I mean, they got the best trade. One of the, like, if not the best trade staff in the whole week. So, you know, to get him back, you know, be ready to go on the grandest stage of them all is just amazing. Bo, you've talked a lot in recent weeks about the, like the human element of the Sequin Barclay journey,

coming from New York here to Philadelphia. You talked about the celebration that you saw from Sequin. He had some fun in the postgame locker room, but did you get to see some emotion from Seekwine as well, like, you know, more of the introspective side of it, or was it all celebratory with him? Yeah, not really. It really was, it was very celebratory.

Now, Zach, you can attest, like, it's very difficult to really talk to somebody or get a quote in this environment. Like, the music is so loud. Yeah. You're really mostly just, like, using your eyes and taking videos and stuff like that. But there was one point where I was trying to talk to Saigon as another reporter was. And it was more just like talking about how great the offensive line was, how great the rest of the team was in this game, that he didn't have to make much of an effort. or not much of an effort, but not much of an impact. And not a lot of like solemn introspection.

It was much more. There wasn't a lot of introspection that I saw. It was really mostly celebratory. Yeah. I think AJ was the one. AJ was the one who stood out on that front. He was the one who was not really fully in the mix of the party in the middle. He was sitting in his locker end to what to what Zach said.

There was a moment where two of the team trainers were sitting with him and they were talking and taking some pictures. and that was really the thing. And, you know, listen, he played through an injury the entire second half of the season, right, that knee that was bothering him, kept him out of practice. I think that was a picture of how much work they had to do just to get him ready for game debt.

I'm thinking about the back room. Anthony will appreciate this, and, you know, some of our listeners will, I think everyone will appreciate this. But since the bye week, they've lost one game and it was when their starting quarterback got knocked out. They've beaten, they, they've beaten, you know, bona fide playoff teams, the Baltimore Ravens. Like, you know, I saw some of the Ravens have quotes during this that the Eagles were the best team they played this year. They destroyed the Ravens. They, they, They destroyed the Rams in L.A. I mean, you saw what they did the Washington last week. And then the Kansas City Chiefs, who won 15 games this year, going in the regular season. The Chiefs look like a JV team tonight against the Eagles. I mean, it's seriously, Kenny Pickett, you know, there's going to be a trivia question 50 years from now,

who was the last one that touched the ball? It's Kenny Pickett. The Eagles had Kenny Pickett in at the end of this game. That really shows you, like the strength of this team. Zach, what do you rank? What do you rank Jalen Hertz in the franchise as a quarterback

among all the quarterbacks that came here? You know, think about it in what? Two Super Bowls, Super Bowl MVP. Look, I've always been a McNabb guy. I've always said Donald McNabb's the best quarterback in Eagles history, even without the Super Bowl ring. And he was with the team 99 to 2009, so he has the longevity.

But Jaywin Hertz, the four years he's had here, okay? Bringing the team to two Super Bowls, winning one, Super Bowl MVP, perhaps two of the best games of his career were in the Super Bowl, another one in the NFC championship game. You see the way the Eagles have played when he's out of the lineup? Yeah, I mean, I don't think, look, it might be hyperbole. Maybe I got that golden champagne in my mouth or something. but I'm saying I think Jalen Hertz is the best quarterback in franchise history.

Bo, where do you weigh out on that? I mean, like, give me like a couple more years of just being normal. And yeah, I think I think he's got it. It's hard to argue with. I think if we're really getting down to it like the McNabb, longevity is nice. But yeah, I mean, Jalen Hertz has been to two Super Bowls in four years as a starter. We can debate whether or not he's the primary reason. but I mean you can't you can't really argue with that

And I was thinking about them in the postgame locker. We've got Milton Williams, who is going to make himself some money for sure and may be priced out of the Eagles market.

Josh Sweat, who almost was and maybe deserved to be Super Bowl. World MVP. Two and a half sacks was fantastic. And he was doing it on both sides too. It was winning on the left side. On the right side. It was was unbelievable in this game. And he knows for sure. And I talked to him briefly about that. And he said, he acknowledged it was good timing for him for him to have this game heading into his frequency off season. You've got Zach Bonn, who had an interception in this game. I think it's probably the most likely of that group to come back. You've got guys like Dallas Goddard, who, you know, they might move on from his contract. And he's there celebrating.

He's celebrating with Avanti Maddox, who probably played his last game as an eagle, but got to step up and make a huge play in this game. What a play that was. You felt so good for Avanti Maddox after the season that he's been through. You've got Mackay Beckton, who's only here for one year. But he comes after the acrimony with the Jets and becomes a vital part of this offensive line. You know, it is the sadness. of a football season being over that you know that this group will never be together again.

Now they get to be cemented forever as champions together and they will always be linked by that. But I'm curious, Vinnie, what you remember of like was there a bit of a bitter sweetness to that celebration because you knew that you might not be back? Yeah, I should, I should, when Howie Carl should just stay my ass put, that's what I should have So not all of us got to say Quine, end of the story, you know what I mean? So, well, I mean, when I mean by that, sometimes, you know, the grass ain't always greener. So if you get, if they get a chance to get matched by someone, I think they should really look into it. My point is that those teams don't get to the Super Bowl. The Eagles have now been there three times

in eight years and won two of them. And this team is locked in. They're the youngest defense in the league. Your skill positions on offense are amazing. Your offense align amazing. Jalen Hertz now can say, you know, basically kiss my ass to everybody in NFL media. I just, I don't think the good times are going to end.

I think the Eagles have a model in place with Howie Roseman being the best GM in sports, that this is a repeatable thing. I'm not saying to win it, but three Super Bowls in eight years, this is truly the golden era of Eagles football, and I'm enjoying hell out of this one, but I don't think it's it.

Imagine what's on Broad Street tonight. What's on Burpin Street tonight. What I imagine is at the team hotel tonight. Like, this is why people are fans and this is why we do what we do so we can chronicle these moments. Best that ever do it. Kyle, when did you know the game was over? I'm trying to think of the series that it was. but watching Patrick Mahomes just be rattled in that pocket as the defensive line just hit him over and over. And even when they didn't get to him completely, as he was trying to, you know, he's so used to, he's a great improviser and all that,

but watching him have pressure on him the entire game. And even when he's not throwing interceptions, is throwing, you know, wayward passes or is not confident of the pocket staying stable around him. It was at some point in the first half. I was like, this game is just done, right? Like the defense is just too good.

I've never felt as confident in a unit on any Philadelphia sports team as I felt about the defense this season. Vic Van Gio and all those guys on that defense were just unbelievable for the final, I don't know, 14 weeks of the season. Just like what a crazy run. Those guys went on to end this year. So, Kyle, as you love. left broad street was it dying down or was it still raging on so honestly i can compare it to

2018 where it was more of a free-for-all they did section things off a little bit where i believe there was it was like a trash truck and i think lombard where that was a at least a little bit of a barrier and then once you got closer to city hall there was a second barrier even closer to there at past pine, but like only a little bit past pine. So they were doing a, I don't know if it's a good job or at least an effective job of trying to keep people within their designated zones, but plenty of climbing up Lent poles and all kinds of other stuff. I saw a couple of traffic lights actually fell down while I was on my way back. So very active out there tonight. That is awesome. Well, Kyle, enjoy the rest of the evening.
