dramatic 31 to 25 win in Tampa Bay.
We are live from the Expedity Lounge and we're presented by Fed 3,66 and Ashley.
And who are we?
We're a Super Bowl champion, Finney Curry.
We're Jamie Lynch.
We're going to be joined by Fran Duffy to break down the film from this game.
E.J. Smith is going to weigh in from Tampa Bay.
I'm Boe Wolf, but we got to run it around the horn here as the Eagles.
Hold on after a dominating first half, defense holds stuff at the end.
Vinnie Curry gave me your number one takeaway.
from this game as the Eagles remain undefeated on the season.
I think I see defensive rookie of the year.
That's my biggest takeaway.
Uh-oh.
You know, winning teams find a way to win.
That's what you call.
It takes 11 of us.
But listen, I think we have defensive rookie on the year on our hands.
Ty Robinson?
Jahad Campbell with the interception on the end zone.
Beneforce fumble.
Yeah, bro.
Played out of his mind.
And then the perseverance, even on the wheel route, you get beat for a touchdown, come back, make a big play.
Come on, which was the, what you call it?
That's what still the game?
Absolutely.
Okay.
How about you, Jamie?
What's your number one takeaway?
Big takeaway was that took a little bit from a lot of people.
Like, you know, the defensive line of Jomo was getting in there making plays late.
One of the big plays of the game?
Yeah, Jalen Carter had to come back from an injury and play hurt.
You know, the secondary, Coop and Quinyon played really.
good games. Offensively, you know, Dallas Scottert, Jalen, great first half, second half
hit the skids. And it took the defense to kind of bail them out there. It was the tail of two
halves yet again. It wasn't a consistent four quarters of football. The opposite halves. Yeah,
the opposite of last week. It was the inverse of last week. And, you know, easy, easy peasy.
Birds are four and oh. Yeah, a lot to get to. Obviously, a lot to unpack from this game.
Let us know in the chat what your big takeaways were.
And of course, you can become a member of the HLY supporters club.
You want access to some of those cool emojis
and some other exclusive content stuff like that.
But listen, in the first half,
I thought this was the best we've seen the offense look all season long.
I mean, last week, you could argue the second half as well.
But the answers that they had in the first half here with the Blitz.
We know that that's been a bugaboo,
especially against Todd Bowles for Jalen Hertz.
They were awesome in the first half.
and then in the second half, I mean, the offense almost cost this team the game.
They had, if you don't count the last possession when they were just trying to run out the clock,
they had seven possessions in the second half.
Five of them were three and outs.
And Vinnie, I mean, you know better than anybody what it's like playing in Tampa Bay in September.
For that defense to have to play as much as they did in the second half and still have enough left to make plays at the end,
I found very impressive.
Man, I mean, at the end of the day, when you start,
started thinking about in the second half, it looks like they were, like,
I don't want to say take their foot off the gas or want to say fatigue setting,
but that son was beaming.
But the defense stepped up, she showed up, they showed out.
They showed that it was conditioned, you know, I guess going out there,
that little bit of a stent definitely helps.
We kind of poked fun on it, but like, I don't know.
If you just needed a little bit extra and that's what they won by, okay.
When I seen that, I was like, what?
But then, hey.
It helped today.
I mean, the defense showed up.
They held their own.
And to come through in a clutch like that, Uncle Vic wins again.
Yeah, let's get a little thumbs up here on the page for pulling one out of the
the grips of death there.
Yeah, the defense bailed out Kevin Petula.
Like now.
But here's the thing.
In the first half, Kevin Petulow was awesome, right?
And the Red Zone creativity in this game was really nice.
Like, that was a lot of fun.
A lot of cowards draws in the second half.
Yeah.
I mean, my biggest problem with the team this season had.
has been how often they're running cowards draws.
I mean, every third and long, it's a little bit pathetic.
But, yeah, I mean, if we're going to give him credit for the second half last week,
we got to give him credit for the first half this week.
But yeah, I mean, that was a very uninspiring offensive performance in the second half.
I have my theory.
I'm shocked that Jalen Hertz wasn't spotted for a concussion check when he hit his head.
I don't think, I'm not even sure if he completed a pass after that.
I think there was a noticeable change.
I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out that he was playing with a concussion
in the second half.
I'm shocked he wasn't pulled to the sideline after that play.
The offense just was pretty bad in the second half.
I guess you give some credit to Tampa Bay and Todd Bowles for changing some stuff up
because it seemed like nothing was open downfield at all.
Well, Jimmy, you're right.
He was 048 passing in the second half.
He just didn't look this.
He didn't look like the same player.
He was 15 for 16 in the first half, 0 for 8 in the second half.
What about, well, 4, 5, and 1 2?
Yeah, there were a bunch of ones that seemed forced to AJ.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And there was that one drive in particular where it was three in a row to AJ and they were all overall three of them.
One of them probably could have been intercepted.
Yeah, that was that was particularly ugly.
He looked like a different player.
It was very noticeable that they was trying to, you know, get AJ involved in force freedom a little bit.
I don't know if I agree with that, that one little thing.
But, I mean, some of those.
Sure.
I mean, Jesse Bond says in the chat, good point, not having Lane Johnson.
affects everything and limits
and the third quarter
and is replaced by Fred Johnson.
Not ideal.
Second week in a row,
they've had to play without him.
The offensive line,
look, I don't want to say anything.
They just don't seem the same
as last year right now.
Now, there's been a lot of moving parts.
Right guard has changed a bunch.
Lane Johnson has now left a game and a half.
So there is a...
Lennon Dickerson has not been playing
quite up to his level.
Dickerson off of surgery.
He's got to get healthy, man.
He's got to get healthy.
Juergens is coming off an offseason surgery too.
So, like, it's understandable,
but they don't...
I would even add it.
to that that Sequin has
has not done a great job in pass protection this year.
He missed another two today
at least where the one
Jalen threw to the same side of the field and
Hertz actually pointed to Sequin
to pick this up and Sequin
didn't, he missed it. And then the
other one was the blitz from
the other side and Sequin went to the other side
of the field. So you're right.
The pass protection is
it's okay.
And yet? And yet they're 4 and O.
And not only 4 and O to be fair.
Four and O against, you know, a trip to Kansas City.
Yeah.
The Rams at home and a trip to Tampa Bay.
You know, three of the four wins against playoff teams,
the other division win.
I mean, it's a pretty good one.
I'm not going to lie.
I do you?
Yes, yes.
I think coming to Tampa, you know, that Tampa team was hot.
Tampa team was hot.
They, they was rolling, you know, to come into Tampa,
the goal a little earlier had everybody,
I was by raised it, but to pull it off,
I think this one was the most impressive.
for. Jacob Tammy, former tight end,
says one day we will learn to be happy,
but today is not that day. You're right,
Jacob, this is kind of perfect. We want and we have something
to complain about. I do think, you know,
everybody is a little
bit, everybody remembers 2023.
Sure. I do not think that this is that.
No. I think there's a difference between
winning in ways which are
unlikely
to be repeated and
winning in ways in which you're not
playing your best game, but you're still winning.
And so yes, in this game, on the heel,
of forcing two turnovers,
one of them in the red zone,
and also scoring a touchdown on special teams.
Like that might feel like it's kind of fluky,
but I don't believe that that was the case in this game.
I think it was, you know, listen,
you see it all the time in the NFL,
you get up big,
things change.
The defense holding tough
in this situation, I felt,
I think really made a difference.
And shout out to our coworker,
Reed Blankenship for the Jihad Campbell interception.
Huge chip on that.
You know, there's a chance maybe Jihad takes that,
you know, if it's not.
tip. Maybe he has a cleaner break out of the end zone there. But Reed got a finger on that ball and,
you know, made it an interceptable pass, which was probably the game. Well, it's a good question,
you ask. Let's hash this out. Let's decide what we think is the Ford play of the game from this
game. Are you going with? Yeah. Jihad Campbell interception. I think, you know, look, you can make a case for
that. What was that? About five or six minutes remaining in the game there. A little bit more than that.
I think it was about eight minutes remaining or so.
Now, visit your local Ford store for more, obviously.
You can make a case for that.
You can make a case for the Sydney Brown touchdown
on the Camelotu punt to start the game.
Sure.
You can make a case for one of the red zone touchdowns.
One of the shovel passes.
The fake tush push.
You could actually also make a case for a play that you shouted out, Vinnie,
which was that last real Bucks drive,
a sack on, I believe it was second down,
where OJMO gets Baker Mayfield on a nice little game
to the third and 23rd with Jalen Carter, yeah.
At that point I was like put a dagger in it, done,
didn't I knock the fight out of them.
What did you like about the?
You called that right away.
That's a great game.
What did they do there?
It was a nice stunt, you know.
You know, it was penetration with the nose guard
coming through the A-Gat,
and then O-GMO just come around,
wrap around, was perfectly, perfectly done,
perfectly executed, and that right there is how you still a game.
and, you know, this is called rocking the baby to sleep.
And that's exactly what they did.
Because right after that, it ran out and, you know, the rest is history.
That's what I'm saying.
This game was very, very impressive.
What should we give it to?
My votes for the Jihad, because the Bucks kind of had all the momentum right there.
They're driving there at what, like the 25-yard line, more or less.
In the red zone.
They're still going to be forced to go for two, so the game could have been decided there in a way.
But Jihad, like, changed it.
Like, that play changed the game.
That kind of, I don't want to say, sealed it, but made it obtain a.
It's a huge play.
I mean, Jahad Campbell's.
To Jahad Campbell.
And as you said,
Founcing back from giving up the long touch
on to Bucky Irving.
Yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
Jahan Campbell taking down to play the game.
So basically, give it to the defense
the second half.
That was, though.
Okay.
I mean, they dealt with a lot.
You know, it was crazy.
Like, I don't know what the snap count is
for the second half if you have it,
but it felt like the bucks were.
Yeah, did you see like the fake shades
they had over the guys?
Those poor, those poor guys.
That's smart though.
Yo, but I'm saying,
but I'm saying, man, that's something was beaming
I was going to say damn shade, but it was crazy, bro.
I was like, oh, man.
Yeah, I think Brady even said, you know, it's hottest on the field right now
on the opposition's bench late in the second half.
Yeah.
That two, three o'clock sun really starts beating down.
And then he had his word of dark colors down there.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, good job by the Eagles.
Forward play the game.
And as we said last week, now let's move it one more.
18 to no now in Jalen's last 18 games that he has started and finished.
That's wild.
Not many guys in NFL history can say they've won 18 consecutive games.
I wonder how many there are, actually.
Let's get to the Super Chats.
I guess Brady's one of them.
A lot of action early on.
Pat Fienis says if I see a 12 personnel dive play on first down again,
my head is going to explode.
We did see a good amount of eye formation in this game.
Pat Fiener.
And yeah, that's tough.
Jake M.
Says when your quarterback can't even complete a pass in an entire half,
it's more than just him struggling.
it's a coaching issue.
I mean, listen, he only attempted eight passes.
I think that is fair.
But yeah, I mean, there's no doubt that that was not great in the second half.
Juan Pablo Martín Reba has given us a nice little donation.
Thank you, Juan Pablo Martine.
Shaheed says one day we'll have to let 2023 go.
Vic Fangio is here.
PTSD is fine, but they're the defending champions.
I think that's totally fair.
We probably need to think about them in that context.
Uncle Vic was kind of like all of us going through that game.
Like his reactions in the boot were off to the long touchdowns said, listen,
remember week one last year, Vic Van Joe's first game, they gave up a 77 yard, 70-something
yard touchdown to Jaden Reed.
And since then, since week one of Vic Fangio's first game, they had not allowed a touchdown,
including the playoffs of over 50 yards.
The longest was exactly a 50-yarder to Xavier Worthy in, you know, the end of the Super Bowl when it didn't matter.
And then in this game, they give up two 70-plus yard touchdowns.
So that is like absolutely not what Vic wanted to see in this game that they're trying to hold a lead.
Like that's how you lose a lead like that.
I tried to lip read his second reaction.
And I think it was a simple what the hell.
So he's relatively calm.
That one, that second one was tough because it was a scramble drill.
It was not the design of the play.
And, you know, Bucky Irving gets a step on Jihad Campbell.
It's a nice throw by Baker Mayfield.
That first one.
McCuva was probably in the wrong.
Yeah, I mean, as.
We just missed it.
Brady to his credit.
I think described this one pretty well
that guy is originally a clear-out route,
Egbuka, it's not supposed to be in the read.
And I think Makuba knew that.
And it's like why he was coming off of it.
But then he's there and he's looking around
and he just can't find the ball.
Brady did unbiased for most of the game,
but towards the end he started slipping in a couple weeks.
No, I feel like he was pretty biased all the whole time.
I thought he played it all right.
He's telling him to challenge it.
Yeah.
Of course, I will, no matter how crazy this game was,
The thing that I'll remember from this game is Brady talking about how he wished when he was a player.
He could have grabbed guys in the grundle when they sacked him.
Definitely the big takeaway.
I think he also says something about a sweet and tush push.
Yeah, he was focused a lot on the sweatiness.
Yeah, and he's got a wedding to cater afterwards.
He's got some scallops wrapped and baking the hand out.
Super chat from Joel who says Petulow doesn't call enough curls and stop wraps.
I have to go to the tape on that.
I feel like some of them when he does call are a little bit too.
obvious
and like that one possession
with A.J. Brown.
Roger E. says,
does feel a bit like the Chiefs last year.
Also, is Nick going as a turtle
for Halloween?
And listen, yeah, I mean, aside from
that A.J. Brown possession, there were a lot
of those three and outs that were,
okay, here comes a first down run on Sequin,
here comes a second down run on Sequin, and you're just
not going to get... You're not going to get...
You're not going to get first down to play.
Yeah.
And they're two, too, too safe.
Are you worried about the running game at all?
After, you know, Vinnie, we had the year of Sequin last year.
Sequin in this game, 19 carries for 43 yards, 2.3 yards of carry.
I think not.
I think not.
I think they're going to get it figured out soon.
It's really hard.
You know, this is like what the second game, Lane is not all the way healthy.
He's clearly not right.
He's not all the way healthy.
But when it comes down to stretch and then come down to if I could hit my,
I say, well, you know, I think it will be coming soon.
Another week in which, as you see on that screen there,
and good job by Ethan and Andrew to get that up.
Another week in which the red zone really makes, like,
an enormous difference in the game.
Oh, yeah.
Three for three in the red zone in this game, the buck's over two.
I mean, that's the story of the game right there.
Yeah, I mean, the Eagles are, I think since halftime did that update.
So they're 11 for 11 in the red zone on the year.
Yeah.
I mean, you're going to win a lot of football games when you bet 100.
in the red zone.
No tush push pushes in this game.
No,
we have the tush push
graphic and image.
The fakes.
There was fakes.
And Vinny,
you brought up a good point
about the tush push fakes
and kind of something
maybe personal in this game.
Yeah,
I think about Tampbells is one of the
Tush push hater.
You were all over this,
you said,
and this was before we saw
the fake tush push
with Sequan.
You had a feeling
based on the way
that the Eagles came out
in this game,
based on some of the chippiness
early,
that you think
that this was a,
like a potentially
like a Jeffrey Lurie
circled game
for the Eagles.
I think it was personal
you could just tell
by the way the players
were reacting
can tell the Cooper
the Coop of the Gene
step over
the AI drone was crazy
you know I like you mean
we end of that
we can't be throwing
flags on that
yeah exactly
but that goes to show you
that after a couple of them
pushing
you know what I'm saying
got a little chippy there
after a couple of them
the rest was like hold up
before I get out of hand
because we was
punching them in the mouth
and that game
could have really got out of
hand.
Yeah.
Without a couple
saved flags,
you know,
I understand it's part of the game,
but it's like,
come on,
ref, that the guys be guys,
the grown men here.
Let's not take all the fun
out the league,
but you know,
you could just tell
that that game was very personal.
Even when Sequan scored
the way he stood,
it was like.
You have been a part of some game,
of some matchups.
Right.
You knew that it was clear
that ownership
cared a little bit more
about this game.
Hell yeah.
The Patriots come to mind.
What do you think,
why do you think the bucks
might be one?
one team for them.
I would say just, you know, the whole
Taubo's stopping jailing thing, the whole
they hate the tush push stuff.
It was a lot of material out there
that you can use for extra motivation.
And I won't be surprised if the Eagles didn't, you know,
use some of that extra motivation.
And I think he used the fake tush push that a team.
Yeah, that's a one versus a team where you really want to.
You could pull that out at any time.
Sure.
Right.
And there's a reason you held it in the back pocket a little bit.
Yeah.
And even the show.
It was, it wasn't a tush push formation, but it was like a cousin of the tush push.
Yeah, it was a nice little, they just kind of had them stacked.
Yeah.
Like, they almost in a way kind of.
I like the way Jalen did that one too.
It was a little, it was kind of like the ref toss.
Yeah.
Oh, that was nice.
So they saved, it does feel like they saved that one for a team that they really wanted to do.
I like this theory, though, because this is a team that has, that has had the Eagles number.
And we said that maybe that's a little bit overstated because A.J. Brown has missed a bunch of those games, right?
So it's not like they've beaten the Eagles at their best.
And yet, that is the narrative that the Bucks have owned the Eagles.
And Jalen Hertz, as we showed you in the pregame show,
has like he's played worse against the Bucks
than almost any team that he's played that often in his career.
And he hears that.
And we know that Jeffrey Lerl-Lufts and is about, like,
protecting Jailen Hertz.
And so I would not be surprised if this was the kind of thing
where, you know, this was a game that meant a little bit more to the Eagles.
And I'll just be honest, especially in that first time,
it really sticks out that Jailen-Hurts had this game under so much control.
It was like, it looked like me playing.
man, everybody.
He was so good.
That's what makes it so mystifying in the second half.
I swear.
He hit his head.
A couple of lovely or downfield throws, too.
He hit his head on that turf.
I think everything changed then.
I mean, I like, you know, I like the conspiracy theorist, didn't you?
I don't want to, I don't want to like wish that that happened.
I hope he's all right, clearly, because concussions are no joke, but he hit his head pretty
hard there on the turf and it just didn't look the same.
And if you go back, let's stay on the second half.
The fucking ball snapped over the head.
Yep.
It was just, I mean, we're not going to just,
I don't want to say we just play completely like downfall, awful in the second half.
But it was a lot of miscues also in that second half.
Idiot sandwich in the chat here, Beau says Jalen did say in his postgame interview,
he would be lying if he didn't have this game circled.
Let's go.
There you go.
Let's go.
Vinny was right.
He walked in.
I mean, you would know.
Body language, energy.
Okay.
Quinyon grabbing Tristan works.
I'm telling you, the black punt, did you see, if you all would have heard the TV so loud,
the energy was crazy off the block point.
I said, oh yeah, this personal.
You could just a hur, er.
But Jamie, he was able to have a conversation postgame.
So that's a shot against your theory.
He might have had a shade.
You can talk concussed.
He's like looking in the wrong direction.
Nikki says concussion uncle takes.
I don't know if that's me or Jalen.
literally have any concussion.
Okay. Let's reset here.
I'll take a little break to hear from some sponsors.
And on the other side, we're going to be joined by Franny Films
to break down some of the big plays in this game.
Later on, we'll hear from E.J. Smith, who's going to talk to the Eagles in the locker
room, much more to come, including hearing from you here on the P.H.O.
Eagles postgame show.
Ethan, our wonderful intern here went to Oregon.
Big game last night.
Go up against Penn State.
He invited me over for the game, which is really sweet of him.
I appreciated that.
Unfortunately, I get there,
and the whole thing is a mess.
Lagging, buffering,
switching between apps trying to find the game.
He claimed he was a big fan,

All right.
The chat's good, heat it up.
to don't people to stop complaining about being 4 and oh
there's like some in arguing
it's all good but you know they can be 4 and oh
the eagles can win and we can still
yeah we're very happy nobody's complaining
because we haven't talked about how many flags were thrown
in the same do you have the numbers
not off the top yet because it has to be
heavy Tampa Bay favored there
I can tell you just in general
eight penalties for 83 yards on the Eagles
five for 40 on the bucks
it felt much worse than that
How many of those came in the second half?
Good question.
A lot.
Yeah.
All right.
Do we have our man, Andrew?
Let's do it.
Let's do the Fran's film room presented by Ashley.
Let's bring him in now.
Our all-city NFL draft expert.
Our professor of the grabby grabs.
Good to see it, Mr. Duffy.
What's going on, guys?
Another big Eagles win.
Good to see you.
Easy.
Never a doubt, Fran.
Friend, what a crazy.
win, right? You know? It's another one of those wins where there's plenty to love and then
there's plenty to complain about. And so everybody's happy in Philadelphia. All right. Let's,
I want to get some of your big picture thoughts actually before we get into the breakdowns,
because I know we're going to break down some of the cool red zone plays. We are going to break down
the punt block by Kam Latu and that huge sack at the end that Vinnie was telling us about
from Morrow Ogimo. But beyond that, what did you make of just the, yeah, the general offensive
flow of this game, things looking so smooth in the first half and then kind of grinding to a halt
in the second half. You know, coaches love to say that every year, your team, it's a brand new team,
right? Even if you're bringing back all 11 starters on a unit, it's going to have a different
field from one year or from one team to the next, one season to the next. I think that's
absolutely the case here with this Eagles offense, at least what we've seen through four games.
You know, last year's team would have been able to salt this away. You get into four minute drill
and you're able to just kind of bog the other team down and say, you know what, we are not going to give this ball back and we're going to anacondi to death until the final whistle.
That's just not the way that this team is able to move the ball right now.
You go back to last week and they get it to hurry up in two minutes and the ball's coming out, Jalen's hands fast, and are able to consistently move the ball.
You come out in this game.
And you can just see, like, they were in such a rhythm in that first half.
It's play action.
It's RPO.
It's quick game.
It's vertical plays.
Like you had a little bit of everything and they were able to just kind of chunk their way.
way down the field. It wasn't big explosives, but it was quick. It was precise. And they were able to
move the ball. There was creativity. And I think when you get into right now with when you look at this
run game, they're just not, whether it's 11 personnel, 12 personnel, 13 personnel, it doesn't
matter what personnel grouping right now. They're just not able to run the ball with authority. And so
much like last year at this very moment, this very exact pivot point where you go back to,
you know, they go into the by week. It was an early by week last year. It was and you came out against the
Cleveland Browns and things changed on both sides of the ball.
I think you're looking at this team now and saying like,
what is the best version of the 2025 offense?
I don't know that it's, hey, you know what?
Like, we're going to throw to score and we're going to run to win.
I don't know if that team is built this way right now.
I think that's a great point, Fran.
And Jeffrey Lurie has talked about this,
how, you know, in today's NFL, like September is kind of like fact-finding for yourself
and figuring out what your team is like.
And I think you're absolutely right.
this team and credit to them
who are going four and oh while figuring
this out. But I think you're right. They cannot
proceed from now
on on offense like
they have the same rushing attack as last
season. No,
I mean, it was like time and time again.
They come out. There was the one driver. They come out like
13 personnel, eye formation, and
there's two yard loss.
They come out, 12 personnel pistol, inside
zone, one yard loss. They come out and they
run counter out of 11 personnel, one
yard game. Like, you just, you know, for a team that's going to be in this kind of situation,
number one, they've got to get better at it, but I don't know they can build the plane out of it
either. They really can't make it the focus of what they're doing. Last year at this time,
it was the opposite where we were saying, hey, like, they're trying to be a passing team,
but look at what they're doing, running the ball. And right now it's the inverse. And I'm interested
to see, like, how they're going to continue to adapt off of that. Just to back it up a little bit,
according to True Media on the season
in both rushing success rate
and rush EPA per game.
If it's just running back runs,
they're 15th or 16th in the league,
whereas they were six last year,
and that's not even factoring in the volume,
which was so impressive last year.
And so I think the thing that they've learned
if they're going to try to change things,
it's not even that the passing game is on fire.
It's that if we can just, like,
not think about the second half of this game,
I think right now three or four games,
they're getting the best version of Jell.
Dylan hurts that they have ever gotten.
And so build the offense around that
because he is seeing things quicker and better
and more clearly than I think he ever has before.
Yeah, he's making great decisions.
He's poised.
I mean, there were some inaccurate deep balls in this game,
you know, especially when you get into the second half.
You know, him and AJ Brown just could not get on the same page.
It wasn't for a lack of targets in the second half of this game.
But I think when you're looking at Jalen overall, like on the whole,
he's been awesome.
I was listening to you guys at halftime.
And you guys were, that was one of the best halves of football.
we've seen Jalen play. Obviously, the numbers did not look good in the second half.
Our friend Dane is, the professor put out a nugget that they had 11 dropbacks.
There was one successful dropback from the Eagles in this game.
It was a Jalen Hurd scramble.
They could not get anything going, but a lot of that also had to do with the fact that they were behind the sticks so often because of negative run plays.
And so I think, look, the second half was ugly, but overall, I think if they're going to look at this in the way that this team is built right now,
I think it's got to be funneled through Jalen Hertz in the past game.
Fran, real quick, before we start getting into some of your grabby grabs,
Sequin Barclay in the pass protection this year.
What do you make of that?
Yeah, I want to go back and watch some of the ones from today, you know, just off the film
because, you know, I did that breakdown in the pregame show about the Todd Bulls blitz package.
And one of my walkaway thoughts from that was sometimes it looks like it might be on the back
and it's not always on the back, right?
And so I haven't been able to really get a great look at all of those.
So I don't want to pass judgment without really being able to break those down.
So I think that's something that we'll definitely cover it 2 o'clock tomorrow.
All right.
Let's get into the aforementioned Grabby Grabs.
And let's start with the big play on defense on that final bucks possession,
the one that Vinny was talking about where Jalen Carter sets it up
and Morrow Ojamo finishes the sack on Baker-Mayfields with authority.
How did you see that one play out?
Yeah, this was a really nice scheme here from the Eagles and Vic Fangio on second and long.
It's second and 12.
We can go to the first one here, Andrew.
It's Ojimo, Ojamo one.
And what you're going to see here from this play is that you're going to get an overloaded front from the Eagles,
where Jalen Carter is going to slide to the left side of the center,
offensive left of the center.
And you've got Ojamo over there.
You've got another defensive end over there.
Zach Bonn is blitzing from dead.
depth from the opposite side and you've got a defense event on the opposite side as well.
So it's going to be a five-man rush. They're going to play straight man-to-man across the board
opposite that. They disguise it pretty well with a too high look before the snap. And so it's going
to be straight man-to-man with a five-man rush. And what I like here from the Eagles is that you're
going to get a TT stunt. You're going to get Ojamo and Carter working in tandem. First, Carter is
going to work upfield as the pinner on this stunt. And Vinny, I want to actually ask you about this
because you were so good in this role over the course of your careers.
I'm sure you can offer some coaching points that you see here from Carter on this one.
But if we go to the next one, Andrew, the first shot that you see is Jalen just flying off the ball.
Like that first step, his ability to threaten that gap against that center.
Now that center, even though he's sliding left, he should be responsible for anything,
you know, that's going to cross his face or come into his gap.
Because Jalen is so explosive, he's able to not only get into his pads,
but now that center is in panic mode.
And Andrew, if you go to the next shot,
Ojamo is going to play off of that,
and he's going to cut on the off-the-backside hip of Carter,
and he's going to work inside.
Now he just makes a straight B-line for Baker Mayfield.
So this is set up from Jalen Carter,
outstanding execution on his end.
I would be remiss if I also didn't mention
if, Andrew, you go to the final one.
You know, Baker, he pump fakes on this one.
He wants to try and make a throw,
but the coverage was so tight on the back end.
You had Cooper Dijin down there.
You had Quigionin-Mitchell down there.
They did a great job.
at the bottom of the screen in man-and-man coverage,
and he delivers Ojimo a huge hit on Baker-Mayfield
that sets them up for third and a mile,
then when they get off the field on fourth down.
So yeah, for me, like this was a TT stunt
that was beautifully executed between Jalen Carter
and Morrow Ojamo.
Man, that goes to show you how much respect
that Jalen demands that he didn't even even come off of him, man.
So, Ojamo, but he owed him a steak dinner or so.
Yeah, I mean.
That's a selfless role, right?
I know I think you and I have talked about this in the past.
It's like, you know, sometimes, you know,
you're hoping as the pinner they like are, hey, you know what?
The offensive line's going to fall off and try and pick up Ojamo.
And now I'm going to get in clean, but more often than not, it's going to go that way.
I'm telling you, well, that was just great execution.
And then, like I said, the secondary, like you said before, the tight coverage,
you know, pump fake.
Once you pump fake, somebody's in your face over.
The other thing that is interesting about this play to me, Fran, is I think,
I think on both sides of the ball, this was a bit of a game of trying to break tendencies for the Eagles.
There are some things they did offensively on that case.
There were some, obviously, some of the plays in the red zone.
But for Vic Fangio, most of the season, it has been Jahad Campbell coming forward and Zach Bond staying in coverage.
And in this game in particular, it felt like much more of Zach Bond.
I mean, even on the interception, Jahad Campbell is covering a tight end there?
I guess, is that what you saw as well?
and do you think that that was a part of maybe confusing Baker Mayfield from Vic Fangio's perspective?
You know, it could be like, hey, this is an opportunity for us to change things up
because maybe you're not as scared of Kate Otten in space as you would be, like they're going to run Pooka Nakuwa in the middle of the field.
We want Bond being able to patrol that space.
If you're going to Kansas City and Travis Kelsey, we want the season veteran back there in Zach Bond running the middle of the field as opposed to the rookie.
So that could be a reason why they felt comfortable making that switch.
That's a good point.
All right.
Let's go to some of the bad here.
on defense, and that is the first of the two, you know, really long touchdowns by the Bucks.
Emeka Egbuka, Baker Mayfield finds him with what looked like a busted coverage by Andrew McCuba.
Yeah, yeah, it's honestly, like with the two explosive plays here in this game, this is like classic
rookie's going to rookie, right? This is one of the perils of playing young players, especially in a
scheme like this. And we've got Andrew McCuba Circle, Brady, and everybody has done a good job of
breaking this down, you know, so I'm not going to spend too much time here. But I think at the end of the
day. You look at Makuba, they're playing a split safety coverage, and they're running a three
level stretch in his direction. So Andrew, if you go to the next shot here, essentially a three level
stretch, you've got a receiver deep, you've got a receiver short, and typically almost all the
time, it's going to go to that intermediate route. Those other two routes are complementary routes,
hold, meant to hold defenders. So you've got that underneath route that's going to hold
somebody to the flat. That vertical route by Buka is supposed to hold Makuba. He's supposed to take him
vertically down the field and create a huge void. Now, Makuba, I think he just,
He just kind of outsmarts himself on this one.
We've talked about how, you know, he is, he is a very good zone coverage defender.
He's very anticipatory.
He's going to try and make breaks on those throws.
And he just jumped, he just jumped this a little too early.
And so he kind of, you know, showed his hand there.
So now Baker's going to be aggressive.
I appreciate the reaction here.
And you see that he's able to get back and is nearly a position to make this play.
He very easily could have made this play.
Outstanding job from blanket ship coming from the backside.
But I think when you look at McCuba overall, yeah,
They're going to be the coaching point there is you got to hold your water a little bit longer.
If you are going like he did a good job of eyeing that up.
That's where the ball is likely to go.
But if he just broke on it too early and that's what allowed Baker Mayfield to attack over the top.
Makes sense.
A thing that you would you would imagine is like you make that mistake once and you probably learn from it.
That's the hope, right?
And I think that that's one of those things where, you know, you would have liked that kind of thing to happen in the preseason.
as opposed to in the regular season,
but we know the McCuba obviously did not play too much
in the summer due to multiple injuries.
And so having him out there in that kind of situation,
they were able to come away with the win.
So it's a learning point there for the rookie.
And honestly, we're not going to break the play down.
But Jahad Campbell was another one where he just kind of got lost late in the down.
Just kind of lost his man,
Bucky Irving down the field and gets beat.
That wasn't like a clean win for Bucky Irving,
but that was just one where he just kind of shook loose
in a scramble situation, late in the down,
and Campbell was unable to recover.
All right, those red zone touchdowns by the egos were a lot of fun in this game.
Let's start with the first one.
The Dallas-Gonner, little ref toss pass from Jalen Hertz.
What did you see there?
Yeah, so this is the first one, the great job, Andrew.
So they come out in a personnel grouping that looks like potentially tush-push.
And it's very important that we clarify here, Bo, just so everyone knows this is not a tush-push-push formation.
All right, so they didn't come out in tush-push formation.
Unfortunately, this would come back to bite us anyway.
Yes, it does.
later. But they come out in this formation. It's a, you have a diamond set to the top of the
screen. And essentially, Jailant's going to give this over to Dallas Godder. And it's going to be
his version of the Tush Push out in space where those guys are going to, are just going to create a seal
for him. You're going to have Latu block the point man in the bunch. You're going to have
Saquan Barkley pin the safety, crack down on the safety. You've got Grant Calcutara working there
as well. Lane Johnson just has to make sure that he scoops that defense event and create that
seal and Jalen Hertz did a great job of being able to deliver this. You could see here,
just a really good execution across the board by everybody along the Eagles offense. Nice creative
play to be able to get into the end zone. Like that one a lot. And then they came back with
kind of a throwback to Eagles coaches of your on the next Dallas got a touchdown. Yeah, and this
was a really nice compliment off of what they were doing in the run game. Last week against the Rams,
the Eagles did not run any gap scheme runs where you had pulling line men and
and double teams the point of attack.
You're working back the opposite way.
But in this game, early on, you saw a decent amount of counter.
And with counter, the first thing here you get double team at the point of attack
with two blockers coming from the opposite side.
And so you see here, you've got the double team at the point of attack between Dickerson
and Milata.
They're going to create movement on the play side defensive tackle.
Andrew, you go to the next shot here.
You're going to get the kickout block from the guard.
So Tyler Steen's coming across.
Right now, this looks like counter.
If you're the linebacker at the second level, if you're the corner of the force player at the
top of the screen. This looks like counter all day because Tyler Steen's going to come kick the defensive
end out and then you're going to get Dallas Goddard looping around to block the playside linebacker.
And then you've got Sequin Barclay taking this ball on the handoff and the corner, he's going to
respond in kind. Andrew, if you go to the next one here, that corner, he starts running to the outside.
He takes himself completely out of this play. And you can see that Dallas Goddard already has the ball.
So Goddard's got the ball on the shovel and he's able to walk in to the end zone.
So a really well-discised play, a nice little change-up off something.
We haven't seen the Eagles run with this iteration of the offense,
but a really nice execution down there in the low red zone
to be able to punch this in for score.
All right.
Last one to go over with you, Fran, is the big play that started this game for the Eagles.
And they had a big advantage on special teams in this game.
Now, McLaughlin hit those two long field goals,
but even opening kickoff, Jake Elliott catches them off guard
with the well-executed kickoff to get them backed up on the 20.
and then that leads to a punt.
And as the professor predicted nine days ago,
Cam Latu breaks free.
Yeah, it was a really well-executed block here from the Eagles.
And, you know, Tampa Bay has had some issues in punt protection
over the course of this season.
So clearly it was something that they saw that they could be aggressive with.
So even if Latu hadn't come close, like in earlier weeks,
I think this is another one where they said,
you know, we've got an opportunity here to go and make a play.
This is another one where it's,
It's basically a stunt where you're going to have Sidney Brown looping around from the opposite side.
He's going to be the one obviously to recover this, but you're going to get the straight rush right up the A gap from LATU here on this play.
And what I like here is that, look, if you've got the ability to win that A gap, that's number one, it's important that you don't impact the snapper.
So you've got to be really good with your technique.
We talked about that last week with Jalen Carter on that key field goal block.
But you've got LATU is able to win the A gap.
He penetrates and gets into the backfield.
normally your personal protector back there is going to be the guy that's going to kind of clean that up
and pick up for your snapper in that situation.
But because you had Sidney Brown looping around now that that's going to occupy the personal
protector there.
And that's why Latu's got a clean run right at the punter.
Great technique.
He attacks the point there right where the ball comes off the punter's foot.
And then Sidney Brown, he's not looping around to block.
He's looping around like, hey, if this punt is blocked, I'm going to be the guy to return it.
And we talked last week, you know, on the Monday show about how that was Jacorian Bennett in the, on the field goal block, on the Jordan Davis play.
And Bennett, he saw the ball was going and the holder was about to jump on it.
So he went and cleared it.
Obviously, that was not a sit, they, that was not the case here on this play.
So Brown was able to pick this up and he was able to take it back for a score.
So really great execution across the board there from the punt return unit.
Love that.
Yeah.
Special team's breakdown.
Now we're talking.
That's two weeks in a row.
three blocked kicks in a row
on successive snaps for the
Michael Clay having a moment.
Yeah, he was fired on the sideline.
Mike!
Some things to clean up from a coverage standpoint,
but there was a couple of those
that came back due to holds,
but.
All right, Mr. Duff.
We will talk to you on the show tomorrow at 2 o'clock.
Tell me when you fire this bad boy up
early in the morning, what are you most excited
to look into?
That gets a tough one because games like this,
it's like, all right, honestly,
it's almost dependent on like how I feel when I wake up in the morning, like, how's my coffee?
You know, because it's like, all right, do I want to start with the good or I want to go and see what happened in the second half, you know, offensively?
I feel good about the defense overall.
I mean, they gave up two explosives, you know, that we talked about.
So I think overall, like the defensive film is going to be pretty good outside of a couple of plays.
Offensively, that's where it's going to be a little bit more of a difficult conversation.
Fran, do you buy the kind of Vinny's theory here that the fake touch pushes was saved for somebody a little bit personal?
I was like
when I
I was the one that pitched this for Swooper this week
and it felt like that kind of a game
you know I think when you look at
you go back and you watch some of the touch pushes in the past
like it got a little chippy with this team
not to the level that it got with Washington
and the NFC title game
but I think that this was something
where I kind of felt this would be one
where we could see some kind of a fake push
and so that's why honestly I submitted it this week
it felt like that kind of a game
for Siriani and this team
big flux yeah that well the
Chapinness with Washington was about them just being losers about it, whereas this, it's like
Vita Vett is a huge man, like he's going to try to hurt Jalen Hertz.
And so it makes sense from like a protector quarterback standpoint.
If there's a game when you want to try to avoid it, this is probably the game.
Yeah, I'd say, you know, they were able to get a couple of, a couple of things on film for other
teams to be able to think about, which is definitely beneficial as well.
There you go.
All right.
Fran, you're the best.
Thank you very much.

All right, let's set up those super chats
as we're back on the PHLY postgame show.
Nikki says absolutely twisted.
We can't get four buttons down
for four Eagles wins.
Cannot believe we're wearing zips today.
Nikki, I'm sorry.
I apologize.
We will make it up to you.
We will bring the sex appeal back to this show
and when the Eagles go 5 and 0.
we'll go buttons deep.
Fran,
he'll go nude
from the Duff Man Cave.
Yeah, I mean,
there's no telling
whether he was wearing pants or not.
Yeah.
Kyle V says,
Great Eagles win.
4-0.
F. Dallas, go birds.
Got a bite.
Bo, who are your top 10 Bjorns?
Hmm.
You go,
Thomas Bjorn.
Bjorn Werner.
Bjorn Bork, obviously.
I was going to say,
number one.
Of course,
congratulations to him again
on the release of his book.
let me think about it
Bjorn Yovallis
songwriting partner of Benny Anderson
a Swedish singer-producer
They got nothing on him
It's got to be up there
Bjorn
How about the baby Bejohn?
Baby Bjorn, that thing was great
Yeah
All right, so that's four down
The Flyers Man says
On the two biggest plays of the game
The Eagles D-line collapsed
The Bucs O line. That's a fair point.
Roger E, Ringo.
And let's talk about this.
Let's take a second here.
Bad open field tackling, but okay coverage.
Yeah.
I actually think that that's a fair summation of what we saw from Keeley Ringo in his first start of the season.
Adori Jackson, if you didn't know, inactive for this game,
Jacorian Bennett had been placed on injured reserve.
So Keeley got the whole game on the outside.
Got the fumble recovery, right?
Got the fumble recovery.
I wouldn't quite go so far as to say Ringo starred.
But I would say that in this game, it felt like he was playing off coverage a lot.
didn't target him a ton
I felt like he was doing a good job in coverage
had a fourth down pass breakup as well
on Baker rolling left
but there were a couple times when he missed some tackles
Vinnie can you improve
I mean I know you can but
is it in your like heart and soul
like to tackle or can you
yeah especially there
listen it's insane especially on defense
you know
single single digit
miss tackles you win games
double digit tackles you don't win games
as a defensive you know unit
You know, so you kind of, you know, if you want to shoot your gun, you want to make sure you're shooting the right bullet.
Yeah.
What did you think of Kili, did you have eyes on him today?
I didn't, I didn't, I feel like, you know, it was all right.
Yeah.
I didn't feel like anything kind of really splashed out.
Right.
You know, maybe we were talking about that.
You want to jump off the screen.
I didn't feel like it was.
I do feel like you see,
and the Georgia connection plays into this a little bit.
But I think you see, like, the other guys on defense
being really happy when he makes a good play.
And I'm sure that you can speak to this
and you can remember when you have a guy
who's been with you for a while.
Correct.
But hasn't really had his chance on the field.
And he gets to get on the field.
I mean, everybody's rooting for that guy.
100%.
You know, because everybody sees what they sees in practice
and how hard the guy works.
So you just, you just,
want to flash so we all can see what they see and we all can clap and go crazy as well so i just
you know i like that and it's fair coming for me i mean i'm like you know put a little pressure on
yeah yeah it wasn't a liability you saw you know you saw zach bond he held his own no i'm not
saying he did on his own you know but you know just for you know what you know the saying and how
they feel about them down there sure we we're want to feel the same way that's what i'm saying
yeah uh back to the super chance michael thoma
says offense is still finding an identity
and it shouldn't be the one from last year.
I think that's a good way of saying it.
It speaks to what Fran was saying as well.
And then Sam G.
Thanks for the best Eagles coverage in the city.
We always look forward to the postgame crew especially.
Thank you, Sam.
How about the best fans in the city?
Yeah, come on here in the chat
on the P. H.L.Y postgame show.
All right, Vinnie, put you on the spot here.
It's time for the beef of the week
presented by righteous felon
and that righteous felon,
they give the beef of the week.
It's like their employee of the week thing.
We do it.
Somebody on the line of scrimmage,
offensive line,
defensive line,
where are you going for the righteous felon?
Beef of the week.
I'm going to go back to that,
to that,
the detackal stunt.
You know,
that sack was clutch.
And I think that would kind of
change the momentum of the game
because they were driving.
And so I'm going to be for the week
to,
to my guy.
Tomorrow?
Or to Jalen for setting it up?
Tomorrow for finishing.
50-50.
Because Jalb was out,
Carter was obviously playing through something.
Missed a bunch of this game in the second half.
I was going to say you could make the case for him playing
hurt.
That's a beef of the week candidate right there.
It is, but, you know, it just was.
Maybe a little meat stick for each.
Moro finishes it.
You got to give him a little bit of love.
Yeah, too.
Did you see his sack celebration
what they must have been working on?
No, I didn't.
It was like it was like he was writing to the,
and then,
giving it up to the sky, or was it like, it was something to the sky.
Okay, I missed that one.
They're writing to the sky or a kiss to the sky.
Help us out in the chat.
Maybe a thank you note.
Something to the sky.
And somebody behind him was doing it too, so it was like they knew that that would be
more of a sex celebration.
I think he had been, must have workshop that.
Yeah.
I just know how hard it is to execute a game like that way, and that was executed.
Well, when it's like 100 degrees in the field,
And it's the end of the game
They've been on the field
The whole second half, especially, yeah
Vinnie, you've played in Tampa
Like, how exhausted are those dudes right now?
Oh, they're super exhausted
They probably, listen.
I'll tell you what, though,
to that point, I'm pretty sure
that sack came, it was the first play
After the two-minute warning.
Yeah.
So they got a little bit of a break,
which I think made a big part of their get-off.
I mean, Fran pointed out,
Jalen's get-off on that play
to set up the stunt.
I think that maybe doesn't happen
if they don't have a little break before it.
Good point.
It was a phone to the sky.
That's what it was.
Oh, phone to the sky.
It's going to be a nice nap on that plane, though.
That's how it's awesome it is out there.
Dr. Prince Blue checking in with Super Chat.
Everybody is better than Jalen Hertz
until it's time to be better than Jailen Hertz.
Lamar, Alan, Herbert, name him.
Herbert lost to a rookie today.
I agree.
I agree.
You know how I feel about my guy.
It becomes tiring, covering the Eagles,
and every day is like, where does Jalen Hertz rank?
among all the quarterbacks, and it's like all we ever talk about.
But I do find the conversation very annoying, and everybody's already staked into their
positions. There's no movement. There's very little nuance. And I'm telling you, Jalenhurtz is
playing much better this season than he has in the past, or at least than he did in the middle
of last season, and he's not getting credit for that from a lot of people. And I don't think that
there are, like, there are a lot of things that he did in this first half that if, you know,
Trevor Lawrence does in some game,
everybody's going to be loving him up.
And Jalen doesn't get quite that same.
You want to hear something crazy.
If it wasn't those social media,
do you know that Jeline Hurts would be probably ranked
the best quarterback we ever seen?
Well, I was just trying to do some quick crack research here.
Bo, and this is not AI.
This is a Reddit board.
Okay, so it's also.
Well, it's user-based.
It's a little bit relevant.
Yeah.
I was trying to find how many quarterbacks in NFL history
because this is his 18th consecutive win.
and there's some of his stats today from most of the majority of that was in the first half, obviously,
because I think he was 15 to 16 at halftime.
How many quarterbacks have won, 18 consecutive games?
And I think Tom Brady, I think Jalen Hertz just tied Tom Brady is the only guy to do it.
I'm telling you.
Like, that's wild.
So to Real Prince Blue's point, yeah, like when it comes down to it, he wins and he doesn't care.
He told Chris Jones, I don't give a damn that I threw for 101 yards.
I won.
Listen, if you look in the golden, they call it the golden ages, it was no internet, you had to wait for ESPN to come on, you can't check on the phone, look at somebody's stats.
If it wasn't no such thing as that, they'd be the greatest quarterback we've seen of this generation.
18 consecutive wins.
Well, and listen, some of those things are unquantifiable things, right?
Like, he does have this predator natural, like, calm and presence when the stuff around him is going crazy.
that matters.
And I think, you know, the guys feed off of that to some degree.
He gets credit for, you know, the thing that you're talking about,
he does really only care about winning.
And I don't think that everybody else is like that.
And that's a big part of, you know, him being selfless enough to take a back seat,
you know, last season when they didn't need him to throw the ball.
Like, wow.
As much.
And, your boy.
And this season, I think we're going to see if they go back to the drawing board a little bit.
I think we're going to see this offense start to be a little bit.
little bit more jail-in-centric. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think to your point, he's seeing it better than he's
ever seen it. I trust his decision-making more. He seems to be pocket navigating because there was
pressure today. And in the first half, especially, he navigated the pocket really well. Kind of
knows when to take it. A couple really important scrambles in this game, too. Yeah. He's, it's really
impressive. I mean, I'm trying to look up his win percentage in the league. And granted, that was with
first and second year of some struggles
here and there, the dude's
winning like 67% of his
game started.
Cold-blooded, and that's skewed even better
in these last three years.
If you just took the last three years alone,
him and Nick Siriania are the most dominant
forces that have ever hit the NFL.
Just against the Blitz in this game, on the whole,
he had an 82% success rate,
which is the third best in any game in his career
as a starter, and the best since 2020.
23.
It was even above that
if it was just the first half,
but there were a couple late
that got to him.
But that tells you that he is,
listen, this was a particular
like monster in his closet.
Yeah.
Bulls, right?
And if he says after the game
that he had this game circled
to some degree,
obviously we believe him.
And he answered
a lot of the things
that he maybe hasn't been able
to answer before in this game.
So he is, to me,
leveling up.
He is getting better
still at this.
stage of his career. Polar Jam just said that
our friend BLG, the big friendly
giant put it out. He has a 71,
almost 72% win
percentage in the NFL.
That is crazy.
I'm so happy he's on our team.
Like, and do they
have the toughest schedule in the NFL this year?
If it's not the tough of the league?
The first four game stretches
like, it's a gauntlet at
Kansas City, you know,
shoot, and Tampa.
Home at the Rams.
I mean, home with the Rams, that's just, you got to.
And he does have that calmness.
He has that zen-like state when he's in between the lines.
That is crazy, impressive.
He said, somebody in the chat said, been a monster in my closet since 2002.
I was thinking that in my head, but I was like, no, let me not.
I might not say that point, yeah.
I'm with you, Jesse.
There we go.
Hey, did the lack of Nolan Smith in this game jump out to you in all of any?
Eagles playing with Jalick's Hunt and Zadaria Smith on the outside,
and Josh Ushay was involved.
We saw Patrick Johnson involved a little bit, but no Nolan.
Yeah, but I think a lot of guys got more snap counters they usually do,
but in this heat, I think it started to weigh on them a little bit.
I think that's why we saw more stunts, you know, rather was Zach Ball,
we did a little stunt.
It was nice, or the two tackles did a stunt.
I think that was kind of noticeable of that nature,
because usually we see a stunt with Nolan and Jalen, you know,
down the stretch.
Yeah, I mean, that's a thing that I think
big picture the Eagles are going to have to think about.
And then the two touchdowns was on, you know, like I said,
at the end of the day, the two touchdowns on,
they'll fix that down the stretch,
and we'll be rocking and rolling.
I didn't notice that Darius Smith much today.
Am I alone in there? No, he had one hit on Baker on,
I think it might have been the
Keely Pass interference call.
It was definitely a flag on the Eagles defense
that he had a hit on Baker.
That's what you called now. Having no training camp down in Tampa.
Yeah.
He probably was winded.
Yeah.
I had the elephant on his back.
Can I interest you guys in some snap counts?
I love snap counts.
Absolutely.
On defense.
George Davis.
68 snaps for the egos, according to true media.
All of them played by Zach Bonn, Reed Blankenship, Cooper DeGine, Kugnich,
Kuhn, Mitchell, and Drew McCuba.
Jahad Campbell, 66 of the 68.
55 for Kili Ringo.
51 for Jailix Hunt.
That's a lot of snaps.
That is a lot.
Let's see.
That's, uh.
da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
75% of the snaps for Jailik Sunt.
48 for Jalen Carter, 45 for Morrow Ojimo,
36 for Jordan Davis.
This was probably Jordan Davis's quietest game of the season, I would say.
He had that one play where he was chasing Baker
on the one that I think Kili Ringo broke up on the left sideline.
That was a good job by Davis.
33 for Zedaria Smith, 27 for Ushay,
21 for Byron Young,
14 for Patrick Johnson,
four for Ogbo Okaranko
three for Perry Nickerson
on the dime two for Ty Robinson
one for Marcus Epps one for Sidney Brown
one for Jeremiah Trader Jr.
Well there was a John Davis to his credit
I feel like this is more so
the run of Bucky wanted to get on the
perimeter and everything
this wasn't really his type of game
especially you know scheme wise so
I don't want to chat to think oh Jordan David
just but no that's not that's a good point
situation.
And to their credit,
Bucky Irving,
15 carries for 63 yards.
So not a huge impact,
although we did obviously have the 72 yard catch.
Yeah.
100 yards and I received.
Yeah.
I mean,
Bo and I talked about it in the pregame.
We were a little worried
about Bucky Irving versus this run defense,
but for the most part,
they did really well today.
Let me see if I can get you the offensive.
By the way,
did you catch the secondary and linebackers?
A lot of jersey tugging today.
Is that just like tired?
and trying to get a little.
The heat.
The heat gets to you
and you just try to make up
what you can a little bit.
The chat, though,
when that heat beaming,
stomach pie growling,
you get really cranky.
Start doing some different things.
Are you guys, like,
eating any electrolytes or chugging?
Yeah, all the type of stuff
on that side line.
Different than a normal game.
Yeah, absolutely.
57 snaps on offense.
Mylotta hurts,
Dickerson Juergens,
play all 57, 55,
for AJ Brown, 52 for Devante Smith, 52 for Tyler Steen,
48 for Sequin, 43 for Lane Johnson,
43 for Dallas Goddard,
31 for Jahan Dotson, 28 for Grant Cauta,
14, Fred Johnson at right tackle,
eight for AJ Dillon, eight for Cam Latu,
five for Matt Pryor, five for John Mechie,
four for Kyle and Granson, and three for Will Shipley.
That is riveting stuff.
All right, well, with that,
why don't we head to our last break

from talking to Jalen Hertz, so
we look forward to that, but not before
we hear from our sponsor.

All right, back on the people.
H. H.N. Eagles post game show.
I always started with Fran for a minute at the end there,
but I do want to give a little minute to appreciate the special teams,
making a big difference on the-
Michael Clay. He was fired up, man.
Listen, man, Michael Clay learned from the best, man.
And just to see him get his opportunity, you know,
because he's been there when we was there.
Sure.
So just to see him get his opportunity is pretty dope.
Well, what were your thoughts about the last play of the game where they had Braden Mann run out the back of the end zone?
Listen.
It didn't affect the spread.
So no Mike Florio conspiracy thin foil hat talk here.
But it was an interesting play.
I think it's low risk.
I don't know.
I am fine with like we got six seconds.
Let's run it out.
Let's take the safety.
I don't know if trusting Braden Mann to catch the ball with nobody else there to possibly recover a fumble is.
the safest thing to do it because he catches and goes so quick. What would you have done? If you wanted
to run that play, are you had, you're not having your boy Tanner go back there? Are you having Jehan
Dodson? No, I think you go, I think you, I think you have, you hike it to Jillen Hertz. You have
him roll out and throw the ball as high as he can out of bounds. And I think you're going to get
six seconds that way. Okay. I did like the like take all risk out of it. Like Brady was talking about
throwing the ball downfield. He seemed to think like it was in play. A pun is too risky. Like
I think it was a sound logic.
I think what Brayden Man should have done was run back as far as it could
and then punted the ball out of the back of the end zone into the stance.
That would have been cool.
Because you're still getting the safety and you get the fun punt.
Yeah.
And a fan gets a souvenir.
Yeah.
He gets the Duke.
But yeah.
I mean, Michael Clay in the special teams unit is now the returns today for Tampa Bay were pretty good.
Yeah.
So you want to clean that.
And I think part of that is it looked to me, I mean, Kieler Ringo is playing on defense.
and he's usually a very good gunner.
I don't think that he was on those plays,
and that could have made a difference.
Yeah, for sure.
It's nice to have special teams.
You don't notice how important special teams are
until they bite you in the ass.
And the Eagles have the opposite of that.
They're biting asses.
Let's believe what Tom Brady wishes
that he could have done.
Exactly.
If only for the face mask, he would have done it.
Yeah.
We don't have E.J. yet, right?
Okay, working on that.
I had one other thing.
Oh, Cooper DeGine.
in this game.
Great game.
Very physical.
Yeah.
Totally.
I mean, this defense, to your point, Vinnie from before,
felt like they really came to play on a,
on a toughness standpoint in this game.
The man was very personal.
You could tell them from the beginning of the game
to the end of the game.
I think Coop made a lot of screen savers today.
Ooh, I like that.
You know, he made a lot of screen savers today.
Can we make that an emoji or no?
step over?
It was nice.
We could go back to this.
Yeah, from last year.
I'm going to the lean back.
Why not?
Yeah, you look a little more comfortable.
You look stressed up there.
These chairs are tough.
It's a tough middle ground.
It is.
There's no in between.
They're too deep.
Yeah, you got to go all the way back.
A little tray.
Yeah, they're too deep.
Either got to lean all the way back here
or you've got to be on the very edge up here.
It's a tough scene.
Yeah, there's no middle ground here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How you feeling?
You look like you don't like it.
I don't love it.
Okay.
Yeah.
See, you're big enough.
Yeah.
This looks comfortable for you.
I have to throw the arm kind of like back a little bit to really get comfortable.
Oh.
It's not working so well.
Yeah, but to your point, Cooper DeGine is, he's bringing the pain this year.
Like, he's playing a physical football.
That kid is a good tackler.
Yeah.
Awesome.
There were a couple of those.
I think we could make a case that.
I think he's like one of the best athletes,
the most gifted athletes,
one of the most gifted athletes in the whole league.
Like,
he had that nice.
What can't he do though for real?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Even on the return of the interception
that wasn't an interception,
made a couple nice cupbacks.
Yeah, we didn't talk about that.
Yeah.
There was that one tip kind of drill
that looked like the buck had a chance at it on the second attempt
and like he tackled the guy after tipping it.
He's very athletic.
No doubt.
Tell me.
You know how to do the pro game challenge, I mean the Pro Bowl challenge?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You could do about that.
I would probably bet the house on him.
Jeez, it's a big bet.
Yeah, well, I know, I know.
We had to wait for E.J., he can wait for us for a minute.
All right, let's head to the Xfinity Mobile call in line.
Head to Tampa Bay to hear from Mr. Red himself.
E.J. Smith, how you doing, E.J.
I'm good.
You see I lighted the mic up for you.
Wonderful.
We appreciate that.
Oh, now you don't care about the way.
We hope you stayed in the AC the whole time.
Yeah, most of the time.
It's hot down there.
So if you see the media guide, it's probably me fanning myself off to the side here.
But yeah, no, it's definitely a warm one, warm one down here.
Now, E.J., pressing question here, I saw Jimmy Kemsky tweeted out.
It looks like they had a really nice ice cream machine with all the fixes.
Did you get to the ice cream machine?
Yeah, obviously.
I did make it to the ice cream machine.
Yeah, they used a good spread here.
Jimmy, I think not to spoil his review, but I think he's going to give it an A minus.
Oh, wow.
Now what toppings did you go with?
It's very funny.
I go sprinkles.
You didn't say anything about the review.
You just gave the spoiler of what the final story.
Listen, I mean, you know, you got to reward the listeners.
So what were your toppings?
I go sprinkles.
I'm not one of these adults that doesn't like sprinkles on his ice cream.
Sprinkles are fine.
The Eagles are great.
But if an Oreo crumble is on the table.
It was not on the table.
Why not both?
Yeah, it wasn't on the table.
Ah, all right.
Yeah.
How do you not have an Oreo crumble at an ice cream machine?
Pathetic.
All right, EJ.
Should I ask jail than that.
Let's start with, I want to ask you about Vinny's guess here, which is that he felt like this game meant a little bit more to the Eagles.
And then, you know, the flying down a day early, maybe plays into that a little bit.
But the way that Jalen Hertz's performances against the Bucks has been such a topic of conversation for us all along.
The fact that they saved some special plays for this game, it seemed like, did you get the sense in the locker room from talking to the guys that this was one that was a little bit circled on their calendar?
I mean, they definitely talked about it being a difficult place to win and they valued that.
But I don't know.
This isn't the first Eagles locker room that I've been in where it's been a little bit more somber than you might have thought.
there was a lot of messaging, especially from the offensive guys.
I talked to mostly offensive guys today.
A lot of the defensive guys, you know, they must have either gone during Nick
or weren't there in the locker room right when we got in there.
But, yeah, no, there was definitely another, I mean, I think Nick Siriani put it
the way that a lot of the guys put it, which is that they don't want to let good
be the enemy of great.
So definitely could sense that they were excited to kind of get the monkey off of their back
in this stadium that kept acknowledging that the fact that they have not had success
here. But at the same time, I didn't get the sense other than from maybe Jalen that this win was
just like, oh, we won the game. It doesn't matter how we look. Okay. And so what were the things
that they, I mean, listen, the offense in the second half, eight possessions, six, three and outs,
seven of them before the final possession. And obviously they put the defense in a tough spot
with that. What were the things that they felt like didn't go well? So I found it interesting.
I heard from Taconne Barclay. And he talked about those early down runs.
first down runs in particular.
He said he's maybe trying to do too much.
He's trying to create a little bit too much
instead of just taking what's there.
I think that really did plague the offense in the second half.
It wasn't the only thing, obviously.
I mean, Jalen Hertz, I believe he didn't complete a pass in the second half.
So it was definitely multifaceted there.
But Sequin talked a lot about trying to do too much on those early downs
and kind of getting the Eagles offense behind schedule.
And we talked about it before the game.
If you go behind schedule against his Todd Bulls defense,
you're going to be in a lot of trouble because of the,
the pressure packages that they have.
So, you know, we heard a lot about that.
But, again, it was such a weird game because, like, they were so good in the first half.
You know, Jalen was, he was 15 for 16 at halftime.
So it was definitely like mixed messaging, but I think because of the fact that the offense was
so stagnant in the second half, that kind of led, that bled into the locker room a little bit.
Hmm.
And as someone who was there watching the game, what stood out to you?
really it was just how much they struggled in the run game you know i don't think i've ever seen
sayquan struggle quite that much since he's been with the eagles obviously you know there were games
like that with the giants but that was what stood out to me but then also like i try to keep
i try to zoom out and remember like they have not won games here um and i think this buck's team
is pretty good you know i mean they they it wasn't like they they were going up against you know
poor competition here.
So for me, like, what stood out to me is the fact that they found a way to win the game again.
You know, it's like, you know, it's never easy.
It feels like with this team, but I mean, the record speaks for itself.
But I said this in the takeaways piece that people can read on an all p.g.com.
They are an imperfect team with a perfect record.
You know, it's hard to argue with that.
So E.J. is with us on the Xfinity mobile call in line.
E.J., a couple injuries popped up during this game.
Lane Johnson obviously left again.
and Jalen Carter left and returned.
What was the word?
How were they feeling in the locker room?
What did you make of that?
So Lane didn't talk after the game.
We did talk to Jalen Carter.
He said that he aggravated his shoulder.
He's had this injury since training camp.
He said he aggravated.
He said actually he didn't even know how to describe
what he had done to it,
but he needed to let it calm down a little bit on the sideline,
which is why he was listed as questionable.
I don't know if the broadcast showed this.
We could see him like pushing
to get back in for maybe a three or a four play sequence.
He was like just, he was on the sideline, like walking three or four yards onto the
field and then he got called back to the sideline a few times before he finally got back in.
So yeah, he was pushing to get back in.
He said that, you know, he wanted to get back out there for the defense.
And, you know, he wasn't shy about like his impact.
And rightfully so, he wasn't shy about his role on two of the biggest plays in the game.
You know, the Jihad Campbell interception.
He has a pressure there that kind of forces the ball out of Baker Mayfield.
hands. And then on Moro Ojojo-O-Mo sack at the end of the game, he said that basically the
center had stayed with him. I think they slid the protection his way to open up space for
Moro-A-Jomo on a twist stunt there. So he talked about like the assists that he had for the
defense today. And I do. I think that, you know, he obviously was playing through a lot of pain
and he came up in a couple big moments for the defense there. And so what was like the mood
from Nick and Jalen in their press conferences? What did Nick have to say?
Yeah, you know, it's funny because we have had a lot of memories in that press conference room.
You know, it's just like the second you get in there, it washes over you, like the Nick Siriani 2023 press conference where we weren't sure if he was going to be the head coach much longer, you know, and Jalen, what was that?
Probably after the 21 season when he came in with the walking boots.
So, you know, we've been here a lot.
And what I found interesting, most interesting from Jalen was talking about the fact that like they have left this stadium in different places.
in the past, you know, whether it's a good place or a bad place. He actually said this time last season,
they left the stadium in a good place, you know, even though they were two and two, he felt
good about where the team was at, and he feels good about where the team is at now. And obviously,
like, you know, the record speaks for itself in that regard. So Jalen didn't really have a lot
on what happened in the second half or even really what happened in the first half. You know,
he kind of just said execution. It came down to execution. So, and there was a moment where after a few
questions about the second half. Someone asked him about the touchdown passes to Dallas
Goddard and he kind of goes, oh, there you go. Like, you know, he sort of wanted to lean into
that one. I think at one point he referred to us as, I think it was like hounds for negativity
or something like that, be a hound for negativity. So, yeah, I think he was a little bit fed up
with the line of questioning. And then Nick, I, yeah, the message I remembered most from him and I
think that stood out most was don't let good be the enemy of great you know and jalen said that that's been
next message all week well nick seriani john ganoid from the eagles just put this out e jay he just moved into
the fourth highest winning percentage by a head coach in nfl history moving past ray flarity so he's now only
behind guy chamberlain john madden and vince lombardi i don't think i've heard of those guys uh for fourth
all time and winning percentage amongst coaches incredible
Yeah, you know
Go ahead, man, you got
Just going back to what Jellon said
That goes to show you that
How much Jalen got all of us spoil
Of his winning
You know, to win 18 games
The way he's been winning
And finding ways to win
And keeping his composure
And being a, you know,
just a great leader in that locker room
It goes to show you how much
We want to see more of it
Yeah, and I'll be honest with you guys
After the first half, I was ready to come on here
and B, I was ready to coin something.
You ready?
I was ready to come out, come on here and plant the flag and say this is Jalen Hertz.
Yes, I was literally about to say that.
How did you know?
Okay, yeah.
So you didn't coin it.
I didn't coin it.
I tried.
I tried.
But no, like, the way that's on the table.
No, I completely agree.
The way that he looked against this defense with the necessary context of how he has looked
in the past, he has taken a step up as a processor.
this year. There's no doubt about it. Like the level with which he has seen defenses reacting to
things, just getting the ball where it needs to go in addition to all of the extended plays,
all of the superhero stuff he already had. But now that he's got some of that keep the offense
on schedule that he showed in the first half, I do think it's on the table for him. It's hard to say that
after the way that it looked in the second half, he didn't complete a pass. But I do think that some of that
really falls at the feet of like the offensive system and the fact that the run game has just
not been able to get going. But if they do figure the same,
out, which it's early in the season.
They've got time to figure this out.
I do think that this could be Jaylor Hertz's MVP season.
So the next one you want to coin here, E.J.,
a Jihad Campbell, defensive rookie of the year?
Yeah, yeah.
Vinnie already had it.
Oh, yeah, Vinnie coined that.
That's how Vinnie started the show.
Sorry, sorry.
Well, I wasn't claiming it as like, I wasn't going to say I was going to coin it.
50-50, we could split them.
50-50.
Yeah, we could put it.
My name is Andrew.
No, you can't do that either.
All of these things are taken.
Well, listen, I did coin Cam Latu impact player.
This is the story.
No, Ben-Tayniz was the one who predicted the blockblin.
But you know Cam-Lat-Tu got my attention first.
I've been on the Cam-Lot-T train.
No, but to your J-Lat-Lat-T point, I agree with you, E.
And we said this earlier on the show.
Fran was making the point that, you know, last season at this time,
the Eagles had to take a step back and reevaluate who they were
and build themselves in a slightly different way.
And on offense, I think they need to do that
and not be quite so reliant
on what worked last year in the running game,
figure out some different things to get Seekwon going.
But I agree with you.
Jalen has taken a step as a processor,
and that is how I would build around,
how I would refashion this offense in the second half,
is putting a little bit more on his plate.
You can have a little bit more diversity
in the route trees and stuff like that
and let that be what carries you forward.
And there's a good chance if you do that.
And he answers that,
then all of a sudden things are going to open up more for Sequin anyway.
Absolutely.
You think about the offseason dialogue around Jalen Hertz
and how he is not the driving force for winning for the Eagles.
Each of these four games,
he was the driving force for this offense.
So I agree with you.
I think it probably is time to put the ball in his hands,
in the metaphorical sense,
where it's like this is Jalen Hertz's offense.
It's built around him.
Yeah, because I think I want to watch the All-22 back of the offense in the second half,
but I do imagine that, like, it probably could have benefited from him having even more agency.
Yeah, I think so.
All right, any other leftovers from the locker room, Mr. Smith?
I gave, I wrote down a song for you because I know sometimes you guys like the color,
the music.
They played the lamello ball swerve around the corner song when we walked in there.
I don't know if you guys are familiar with that one.
Oh, hold on a hole.
Oh.
Oh, no, no, Leangelo ball, Leangelo ball.
Yeah.
But that goes to show you that they was really, really excited about this win.
That's how you get to be the personal.
Yeah.
But he's saying that they weren't, they weren't so excited.
I mean, once everybody come in, like, go cut it all.
You know, you know, you know, hey, hey, no.
No, I mean, the way that they played.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, there was definitely some juice.
I mean, they've just been here so many times.
It's just like you can feel it.
You can feel the familiarity.
And yeah,
I kind of did feel like they got the monkey off their back there.
All right.
What are we going to be reading on all p.hly.com tomorrow morning
in the early bird,
which you can read if you are a diehard.
And by the way,
now is the right time.
Didn't become a die hard.
We've got a great deal going on.
The branded Bill's hat.
And a branded Bill's hat,
that green one.
These things are sharp.
Kelly green,
beautiful hat that we've got.
You're going to be reading a lot of stuff.
You know,
you're going to get Tanner McKee on,
on Jalen Hertz the processor.
I talked about that last week.
Stuff from Jalen Carter.
Just, you know, just really a comprehensive locker room piece, I think,
after this one, you know, what we've heard from a lot of these guys.
So, yeah, that'll be most of it.
You got some stuff from Fran, obviously, some draft stuff,
a big weekend in college football.
So, yeah, I'm definitely excited to get started.
I think I'm going to write it back in my room, though.
You know, I think I'm going to head back, get comfortable and, you know, get typing.
Take a shower.
Yeah, no, that's a big one. That is a big one.
I mean, I wasn't going to, like, air out my, uh, my showering habits on the pod, but yeah.
I don't know. Sometimes that helps, that helps, uh, you know, clarify the writing.
You get a little time in the shower.
I mean, it does. I don't know if it clarifies the writing. It's just a necessary part.
You're going to outline pre-shower and then execute post-shower? What's your plan?
Um, no, no. I don't, I think the shower is the first thing you do when you get it.
So, and again, you're, you're, you're going to, and again, you're,
You know, I packed my own bath, my own body wash here, you know?
Oh, wow.
Is that a shot fired?
No, I just, I didn't know that other people didn't do that.
I thought he always was like your body watch.
Never, never.
So, E.J., what, how, speaking of showers, how long is your average shower?
I've never thought about it.
Probably 10 to 15 minutes.
10 to 15?
Wow.
All right.
Is that short?
Is that long?
It feels long.
Probably like a five, six minutes.
Farrow.
Yeah.
Learn a lot about it.
There's different kinds of showers.
Ian Andrew says he takes a two-minute shower.
20?
Oh, 20.
Never.
20?
20.
That's wild.
Wow.
Vinny got to clean up.
Oh, man.
How we got on showers here.
Two minutes is too bad.
He'll be on the show.
He's on the show.
All right.
Any other color that you want to pass along before we let you go and get to hit those showers?
I saw Nick Siriani kind of have a moment with Keely Ringo before his press conference saying that he's proud of him.
I couldn't believe the Bucks just didn't throw the ball at Keeley Ringo.
It's insane.
Like one of the things that will be in the early bird is me asking like, do the Bucks know something about Kili Ringo that we don't?
Like why were they were like, we were to throw this Quinyan guy instead?
So yeah, notice that.
And the only other thing I have for you is that I didn't tell you this, but I'm lying.
from the coach's booth. So I don't know. I don't see like any remnants of Vic Fangio.
Like I don't, he didn't leave anything behind. But, but if he did, it would be like.
There could be some reporting nuggets in there.
Some notes about that busted coverage. I got to go back and watch Fran's film breakdown.
See what, see what, see, really just learn what happened in the game.
There you go. All right, Mr. Smith, safe writing. Safe travels back. We will see you on Tuesday.
shower on the on the on the pho yagle show all right guys thanks for having me all right a lot of shower
talk in the chat now yeah why not chat going off yeah 10 and 15 minutes is average 10 minute showers
is for girls I don't I don't appreciate this from Fred who's saying that white people don't
wash their legs in the shower I mean I'm washing my legs every time I even think I have like a pumice
like greater for my feet I'll get in there and get the dead
skin off my feet. Oh yeah.
It looks like a cheese grater. Oh, a hummus.
I said pumice. No, pumice. It's like a
pumice stone, like a pumice grater.
A little roll-up joints.
Yeah. I don't use it, but I'm just saying.
Yeah. Isn't it pummel? Isn't it pummel?
Like pummel stone? That's a pummel horse.
That's a pommel horse.
So not only do I wash my legs, but I scrub the hell out of my feet.
Yeah. So, Fred, take that.
Now I'm not a washcloth guy.
or what are those
Lufa?
Yeah, the lufa.
Yeah, no,
Luf is kind of dirty.
Yeah, they bug me out.
There's like a little,
there's a silicon scrub thing
you can use.
That's a little bit more hygienic.
That's what I go with.
All right, do we have any more superchats before we go?
I think a couple rolled in here.
I think we got all of these,
except for that last one.
Ian, who says,
a little behind, but what a pull,
but the Thomas Bjorn reference
Beau showing his golf knowledge.
There we go.
Unfortunately,
there was the only Bjorns I got.
Did I assume Europe ended up winning?
Apparently USA made a push late.
Yeah, it's very tight.
I think they got the 14,
but it's like,
barely.
Hmm.
Well?
And then they got,
they got helped by Hovlin
taking a half point
for not playing today.
Oh, all right.
I'm not seen a lot
of the Bjorns that I know.
The famous Bjorns out there,
the list is short.
There's got to be some inventors, I would think, with Bjorn's, right?
I guess.
All right.
Good stuff.
The Eagles are still undefeated.
31 to 25.
They hold on by the skin of their teeth at the end.
The defense holding on, despite playing all those snaps in the second half.
Jalen Hertz, great first half, 15 of 16, for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
And he finished the game with 130 yards and two touchdowns.
0 for 8 in the second half as the offense had eight drives,
six of them, three and outs,
and yet the defense held on.
Big job from special teams again.
We've got Morrow Ojimo having the big play.
Jihad Campbell gets the play of the game from Vinnie Curry
for the interception with a little tip from Reed Blanketship.
All good stuff.
Final thoughts from you, Vinnie.
Oh, man.
My final thoughts is like, listen, guys, chat, everyone,
the defense will be fine.
The touchdown was all rookies.
that they'll fix that up and uh we'll be looking for uh this time next week at b five and oh
uh final thoughts for me i didn't get to uh throw enough bouquets i'm a man quinyon's way
tonight today in the post game show i thought he was phenomenal i thought he had a really really nice
game they attacked him in the first half he held it down quinion i love the attitude i love
i love the smack talking i love getting in tristan wharf's face uh and being physical so my man
Quignon what the hell of a game today.
And if we think about the season as
quarters, first quarter is done.
Yeah, that's crazy. Really impressive wins.
Second quarter looks a little bit easier.
So we've got the Denver Broncos next week
at home. Are you a Bo Leaver?
Of your namesake? Very much not. There's only room
for one of it. Well, there's two. Bo Jackson and me.
That's it. Everybody else is out.
Then you've got Thursday night after that
at the Giants. They won today. So maybe they're a little bit better
with Jackson Dart. No Malik neighbors, though.
suffers in ACL.
Yeah, exactly.
That's a bummer for him.
After that, a trip to Minnesota, which could be Carson Wentz.
Could be his last game, projected time.
He's looked pretty good.
I mean, his processing kind of stinks, but like he looks better than I thought he would look, I'll say.
And then it's the Giants again.
So Broncos Giants, Vikings Giants over the next four weeks before the Eagles get that midseason by.
So we'll see how they do.
And we will, of course, be with you here for every step of it.
By the way, Bo, there is an.
NFL Bjorn. Did you name him
in your Bjorn dog? Bjorn Werner?
Yeah. Yeah, I said him. He was my second.
He was one of my four. All right. He was drafted
at like 26 years old, so of course I knew he was.
Yeah, that's all I got for you.
All right, everybody. Thanks to Vinny.
Thanks to Jamie. Thanks to Ethan.
Fordano. Thanks to Andrew. Thanks to Fran.
Thanks to E.J. Thanks to all of you.
Oh, Bo Kimball. In the chat.
Getting some love. I mean, I got lots of Bose for you.
We can go Bo Didley all day long.
But that'll do it for this episode of the PHA.
by Eagles podcast. We're here every day during the week at two o'clock. So join in tomorrow,
friends, breaking it all down. And we keep on going for all of us here. We thank you for watching and
listening. We'll talk to you next week. The Eagles are still undefeated. And as always,
we love you.
