And welcome to the PHA by Eagles podcast, presented by True Mark Financial.
On a very nice Thursday afternoon, Bo Wolf, Fran Duffy, Zach Berman, just a couple of old pals, guys being dudes, ready to talk about all kinds of things from the Eagles to the NFL, a little bit on, maybe off the field stuff.
Fran, how you doing?
Doing great.
I'm not crazy about the guys being dudes.
Well, I know why, but we're making fun of the guy.
I don't think there's enough fun being made about the guy.
You think it's been accepted?
Yes, I think so.
The guy, of course, being Steve Adasia, who may rot in hell as far as I'm concerned.
Zach, how are you?
I was wondering what you guys were talking about there.
So now I understand the guys being dudes.
I'm doing great, excited for the show.
Always enjoy when the three of us are here together.
Yeah, absolutely.
I'm planning to get to and today.
And so we're sort of a tix-zac bow thing going on, but it's not the specific categories.
We've each got one Eagles talking point, one NFL talking point, one non-football talking point.
We'll see how it goes.
Before we get to that, Zach, anything,
I know that Anthony talked about this morning,
do you take anything from the C.J. Gardner-Johnson clap back, as it were?
It doesn't necessarily surprise me.
I mean, part of the competitive zeal that C.J. Gardner Johnson exudes.
It manifests itself when he's never left somewhere.
I've got to be about it.
Yeah.
It's part of kind of his essence, if you will.
I am of the opinion that it is as that it was as as as Vic said contract related or cap related to this point.
I think they thought they would have to do something about it at one point or another here and they wanted to get ahead of it is my sense.
I think it's still I mean it's cap related but it's also for exactly this reason it's not going to be a quiet situation if you can't agree on contract terms.
Yes, yes.
but I don't think that they viewed CJ as a test dummy.
I think he called it like the show that the scheme works
and they can just put someone else in there.
I think they genuinely wanted CJ back last year.
CJ played well.
And I think they anticipated that CJ would probably want to be compensated
for how he played.
Presumably you also think that if you were a little bit better
or thought of higher than they would have been willing to.
And then you have this situation with,
and we've been talking about this going back to the start of the off season
where him and Reid were both, you know,
now Reed was entering the last year of his deal.
CJ was entering the last year of guaranteed money on his deal.
Right.
Or, you know, before like the last year they're actually going to have them on the deal basically.
Right.
And you kind of had to choose one or the other.
And it was a situation similar to a year ago or to two years ago,
three years ago now with T.
J. Edwards and Kaiser White, Marcus Epps and C.J.
Garner Johnson.
if you gave, let's say you gave
Reed Blankenship an extension.
Sure.
I can't imagine CJ would be particularly,
exactly, particularly happy.
So I, yeah, I think they, that,
and you were on this back during the 2020 season,
that they had all these, you know,
that they didn't give out these extensions.
I think if you let something linger into the season,
it doesn't get better.
So I do think, even if it wasn't explicitly like he was holding out
or something like that,
I think they anticipated something.
something needed to happen.
Well, do you think we're going to get that Reed-Machenship extension?
Good question.
I don't know.
I don't think Reed's one of those guys who will ruffle feathers playing this year
on the last year of his deal.
Right.
So I, it's good question.
Next time I chat with him now, his contract came up when we met the other day with
when he met with the reporters.
And he said he doesn't kind of get in and all that.
I don't think that they would be rushing to give him an extension.
extension because there is a world for instance where both macuba and sydney brown play well and
you're like you have two guys on on rookie deals right right so i think they'll probably
unless it's team friendly i think they'll probably let this season play out friend how are you
doing good doing well yeah the one thing i'm thinking with the reed extension would be you know he's
look he had a he's had a bunch of interceptions over the course of the last couple of years i wonder
like all right do you i don't have his face he's going to be a worst player but what if he has
fewer interceptions this year and you're able to save a few bucks by not giving them the deal now
versus later.
Well, he's also, to be fair from the Eagles perspective, he has dealt with injuries in the past.
I'm sure they don't want to give a ton of years of guaranteed money, but sure.
I know, he's still reward the guy.
I agree with that point.
Yeah.
Okay.
Why you wouldn't pay him right now?
All right.
Let's start with an Eagles topic since we're at the top of the show.
Zach, give us your, your Eagles topic.
Yeah.
So what was trending yesterday?
There's this popular podcast called Greenlight podcast.
It's with Chris Long, former Eagles.
Heard of him.
A defensive end.
I think you actually offered him podcasting tips at one point, right?
No, I offered him a spot on the athletics show.
He's like, I think I already got this covered by it.
It worked out okay for him.
Yeah, yeah.
So.
But boy, did I have an eye for talent?
You always have.
Reeb blanketship included.
That's right.
So Sequin Barclay said, and I'm quoting him here, he was asked about retirement or how long he would play.
So that's a great question.
I'll probably be one of those guys that it would be out of nowhere.
I'll probably just wake up one day, whether it's next year or two years from now or four years and just be like, yeah, it's over.
I don't think I will ever lose the passion.
The competitive nature is always going to be there.
I like probably my favorite player of all time is Barry Sanders.
So probably similar to that.
Maybe one day it'll be out of nowhere.
I'll be bowling and I'll just be like, yeah, call it quits.
Balling as in B-A-L, not crying, bawling.
Yes, correct.
And this naturally was taken to me and could Seekwon retire next year or two years.
I don't think Seekwon's going to retire next year, two years, anything like that.
But this is a framing device that I wanted to use, is that Seekwon obviously signed a contract extension with Eagles this offseason.
If you had to rank, so that would be a stork ranking.
Okay.
If you had the rank from longest on the team to shortest on the team
in terms of the remainder of their careers between J.1.Hertz, Sequin Barkley, DeVante Smith, and A.J. Brown.
How would you rank it?
You're going to go first?
I got mine.
I think Sequin is the shortest.
Yep.
Agree?
When we did the sexist, this was a big talking point between us, you know, AJ or Devante,
who's going to be longer last off season.
And back then I was like, Devante's going to be here forever.
And I think AJ may be gone sooner.
I don't know that I feel that way anymore.
Really?
I might go.
And then like Jalen is obviously the wildcard here.
Yes.
Jalen could be here, you know, eight more years.
He could be here two more years.
But I'm going to go, he's got the longest,
he does have the longest runway.
So I will, for the sake of argument, go,
but Jalen will be here the longest,
then AJ, then Devante, then Sequin.
I would just flip.
You'd flip their receivers.
Yeah.
I think there's volatility, certainly with any of them,
but I think that I feel better about Devante being here long term than A.J.
And why do you say that?
I just think of the youth.
Okay.
You know, I mean, look, when the Eagles traded for AJ Brown,
like he had been dealing with the injury stuff.
And he had the first two years,
that was not an issue.
last year he missed four games.
You hope that obviously that's the extent of it,
but I think there's got to be a little bit concerned there in the back of your mind.
So the guaranteed money on their deals,
both of them don't have good have firm guarantees beyond the 26 season
in terms of guaranteed salaries.
But when you look at the cap implications of it,
the Eagles can get out of Devante's deal fairly easily after the 26th season.
They can get out of AJ's deal.
fairly easily after the 27th season.
But DeVante's deal might have been structured in a certain way to give him another deal.
Right.
You know, they gave AJ that four-year, $100 million deal, and then they gave him a new deal two years later.
Devante's deal could be very similar to that.
I would lean towards Sequin being here the shortest.
I'm going with Devon—I'm sorry, I'm going with Jowin the longest, although that is a wild card there.
There is going to be another contract at some point here.
And then I would probably go with,
I'm going with AJ here longer than Devante.
Interesting.
Yeah, I think.
But you are right, the injury thing, the age thing.
I think Devante's playing style would probably age better than AJ's playing style.
So I don't have firm conviction on it.
But that's, that's, that's, just looking at the contracts.
Devante is going to be itching to get out.
Go somewhere he can be a captain.
You love the captain's storyline.
Very well, there very well might be something there.
Or there very well might not be.
Yeah, that's possible.
Okay.
All right.
Good first topic.
You want to go next, Fran?
You want to give us your NFL or your non-football?
Let's go non-football.
Okay, let's hear it.
All right.
Non-football in the A block.
Yeah, let's go non-football.
So I walk the dog every day in the neighborhood.
Flex?
Yeah.
And one of the places we walk by every day is our local fire station.
and a couple times over the course of the last year,
the alarm,
the sirens have gone off while we're going,
it's loud, right?
Owning a house, I would think, in that area,
that's got to be brutal.
But it got me,
it got me thinking this week,
and then I actually heard one when I was out coughing
the other day, same thing.
When I get why they existed in the past.
It was to alert the firefighters.
Okay.
you know, there's a fire, you need to, you know, get here fast.
Now, they get that notification, like, on their phones and on their mobile devices.
I think before it was like, oh, well, it alerts the public.
Like, oh, there's, there's a fire, like, you know, make sure you clear the space for people, you know, for fire.
I think now we have, like, sirens, the people that have, if you're a volunteer firefighter,
I know, a lot of them, I used to live across the street from one.
They had, like, lights on their car.
Is this, is the siren, an antiquated thing?
You're not talking about all sirens.
You're talking about in the firehouse.
The firehouse siren.
The firehouse siren.
I feel like, yeah, maybe.
Like letting the entire neighborhood know that there is a fire and there's something that needs to.
You're moving me a little bit here.
So is it for the neighborhood or is it for the firehouse?
Because I interpret it like, you know, again.
I'm sure we have firemen listeners.
We must, we got to have a bond to tell us.
If you are a fireman or woman and you're listening to the show after the fact,
comment under the video, please.
to let us know about the efficacy of the of the alarm.
Is it to wake the ones up who might be sleeping?
I've been with the firefighter when the thing has gone off.
It would be hard, I think, to sleep through it.
Okay.
Or if they don't have their phone on them.
But if they're in the firehouse, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, what are the odds?
Yeah.
I mean, maybe they could just turn the volume down a little bit.
I guess.
It's quite so loud.
Right.
Mike, my college roommate, his dad was a fireman.
He's a police officer.
They do the, they do the, they alternate years for,
the test. So the year we graduated college, it was the police test. Otherwise, he would have been a
fireman. Oh, interesting. Yeah. Yeah, it was, it was fascinating to me. And so, but I've, I've,
I've heard a lot of stories about the firehouse. And it's kind of like hanging out in the studio.
So, you know, you got your, you're sitting around talking about whatever. With mice.
Hopefully not that. But, but so I, I can understand the urgency there. There are times when I'm
talking to the two of you and I'm not looking at my phone. So,
there needs to be, now there are times when I'm doing the show and I'm looking at the comments, right?
So, but, but there needs to be an indicator, uh, like some type of emergency siren to show
you need to stop doing what you're doing and get, and go down the fire pole and into the fire truck.
The, the, the siren I'm speaking to is not necessarily like the one that's in the building.
It's the one that is broadcast.
Oh, okay.
The entire neighborhood.
Like, like, like, you know, it can go off at like, you know, it can go off at like 630 in the
morning.
Like it would go up three in the morning.
Like does everybody in the neighborhood need to know that that is that something's happening?
Because in theory, it's what to clear the roads for the fire truck.
But once the fire truck is coming out, it's got the, I don't know.
It's on siren.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's what I got.
All right.
I'll give you my NFL one then.
Here's my question.
There's a, I created a rubric.
Okay.
So this is a division setup.
Okay.
Okay.
Every division.
Each team has to be represented in the,
four categories. You have a quarterback, the rest of the offense, the entire defense,
and the coaching staff. Okay, but you have to fill one of each. So first, I want us to figure
out what the NFC East one would look like, and then I will read you the other divisions and you
tell me which one would win. Okay. Okay. So the question for the Eagles, I think,
I think you're taking Jaden Daniels as the quarterback, because you don't want the rest of the
commander. You're not going to take Jalen Hertz. Oh, sure. Okay. You're not at the
offense or the defense. Sure. So you're probably, you're taking Jaden Daniels. Yes.
Right. I think. I guess you could, you could consider DAC, but I think, I think there's more other
talents on the Cowboys than other talents on the commanders. Yeah. You're probably taking Jane Daniels.
Do you take the Eagles offense or do you take the Eagles defense? I think you take their defense.
You think you take the defense? Yeah, I think so. Oh, I go the offense. I mean, the offense is the
best. No, play it out. Now play it out. If you take the Eagles offense. Right. You're probably taking a
Cowboys defense and you have the Giants coaching staff.
Or you could take the Eagles defense.
You could take the Cowboys offense.
You could take the Giants offense.
Yeah.
I mean, with, with Jan Daniels is a quarterback.
I could be, you get Malik neighbors.
That's kind of interesting.
And then you get the Cowboys coaching staff.
It's not that much better.
What if I'm throwing a wrinkle on this one here?
Okay.
Let's hear it.
Going Dak.
Okay.
Right.
I'm going Eagles offense, Giants defense,
Commanders, Coaching staff.
You know how much is that.
Because I think that this Giants defense, look, they have one of the best players in football in Dexter Lawrence.
Yeah.
Okay.
You have, and I heard they got in a big fight today.
I haven't seen the footage.
Yeah.
Yeah, they had to cancel practice or end practice.
Offense first defense.
Yeah, I think so.
Brian Burns was in it, Kvon Tebowdo.
But they have the player who I, they have one of the two best players from this draft,
Abdul Carter with Brian Burns, Kavon, Thibon, Thibodeau.
Okay.
They signed Javan Holland this offseason, someone that, you know,
I think that we all liked them in free agency.
I mean, they have some pieces there on defense.
Yeah, I'm not against the Giants defense.
Yeah, I like Dak.
I'm totally cool with Dak in that spot.
I would rather have Jane Daniels, I think.
Me too, but I would rather have...
You'd rather have Dak and the commander's coaches than Jaden Daniels
and the Giants coaches?
Yes.
I just think the quarterback matters more.
I would lean towards.
But you have convinced me on,
I think I would go Eagles offense.
The Eagles defense is the best unit.
But I think that,
but the offense matters more.
I still think,
and I'm still going to go with the Eagles offense.
You're getting the best offensive line by a mile.
You're getting the best weapons by a mile.
I'm taking the Eagles offense.
And I'll take the Giants defense.
although I don't know
you think the you think the Cowboys defense is significantly better than the
Giants defense
you're getting the best player versus
yeah Dexter Lawrence is obviously he's also an elite player
different position
that secondary could be a mess
yeah diggs is coming off injury don't know if he's going to play
I'm taking Jane Daniels
I'm going Jane Daniels
I mean I would argue Dax 23 season was better than Jane Daniels
Daniels his 24 season
I mean, he was second team all pro.
Okay.
He threw for 4,500 yards, 36 touchdowns.
They were, he won 12 games that year.
Now, they were the number two seed.
They've lost in the playoffs.
There's no way around that.
So are you making the case that DAC is,
you would rather have DAC than Jane Daniels
or it's because you're factoring in the coaching staffs?
Yes, is that I would rather have DAC and the command.
Sanders coaching staffs out of it.
Who would you rather have DAC or Jane Daniels?
Just this season or long term?
This season.
Just the season.
This is a tough one here.
I guess.
I guess Jaden Daniels,
but there's probably some recency bias there.
I mean,
Dax year 23 was awesome.
Yeah.
So.
Yeah.
He's brittle.
Sure.
I'm taking Jane Daniels.
Okay.
So for the purposes of the exercise,
let's make a Jade and Daniels.
Daniels.
Yeah.
Eagles offense.
Giants defense,
Cowboys coaching staff.
Yeah,
because you don't want my Kafka.
Right.
Okay.
So now I'm going to read you
the other seven
rosters.
Tell me.
Okay.
We'll just go,
would you rather have
the NFC East or
I just made it up?
Oh,
you just made this up.
Yeah.
I love it.
Okay.
Okay.
Now there are a couple ones
where you might disagree
but this is how I've done it.
Right.
NFC. North.
Jordan Lovid quarterback.
Of course.
Lions offense.
Vikings defense, Ben Johnson as the coach.
I think this was, yeah, I mean, that's easy.
That's a good one.
But who would you rather have? The East one or that one?
That's a pretty good lineup.
That's a good lineup, yeah.
That one might be better, right?
Who is the defense was who?
Vikings.
Vikings defense.
But that's the only definite edge they have.
I mean, Jaden Daniels and the Eagles offense
versus Jordan Love and the Lions offense.
It's pretty close.
I think I'm a little bullish on the Bears coaching staff.
Okay.
Not just Ben Johnson, but also Dennis,
and a defense coordinator.
Yeah, okay.
All right, so you might tilt that one.
Yeah.
He's,
he's killing the PR campaign
during the offseason.
Ben Johnson?
Yeah, I'm following our CHGO crew.
He's,
every press conference,
it's like,
now, Iber flus,
I don't think Iepinthus
thrived that area,
even with the consultants
that he hired.
Yeah, exactly.
A better haircut than he has.
Shampoed his hair once.
Yeah, Ben Johnson is killing it, man.
Okay.
NFC South.
This was a tough one to figure out
because I was trying to avoid
having Dave Canales
as the coach, but I don't think I was able to.
So Baker, Mayfield, as the quarterback,
Falcons personnel on offense,
Saints' defense,
and Dave Canales as a coach.
I think that's the worst unit.
It's the worst unit, which is the worst division.
It's what you would expect.
NFC West, this is a good one.
Kyler Murray, Niners' offense,
Seahawks defense, Sean McVeigh as the coach.
Yeah, I'm good with that.
Yeah, but do you be better than the NFC East?
I know. I think I like the East more on that one.
Okay.
AFC East.
Josh Allen,
Dolphins, offense, Jets, defense,
Mike Vrable.
Absolutely.
I'd like the N.C. is better.
Have me the middle two again,
the offense and defense?
Dolphins, offense,
Jets defense.
Sure.
Okay.
And Vraves is a good coach.
Yeah.
Josh,
I say it as if we're boys.
Mike Frable is a good coach.
I'm not a position called.
Okay.
AFC North.
This might be the best one.
Now you could argue burrow Lamar Jackson yeah but I'm going Lamar with the bengals offense
I think you'd rather take sure wide receivers I'm going Brown's defense Mike Talman as the coach
you could argue the Steelers defense Stefansky but I'm taking Tom just guaranteeing yourself
a job though because you want to be offense coordinator for who are there
Arthur Smith yeah true okay uh another bad one a FC South I'm going uh Trevor Lawrence as the
quarterback is because I want the Texans defense defense
So Colts offense, Texans defense, Brian Callahan as the coach, really, really woof city.
That's a tough one.
And then AFC West, you get Patrick Mahomes, the Chargers offense, the Broncos defense, and Pete Carroll.
That's pretty good.
Pretty good.
You think the NFC North might be your favorite one?
I think so.
Okay.
Yeah, I think I would go NFC North, NFC East.
Maybe a...
I'm going to...
Yeah, I'm going to FC North.
Yeah, because I'm not for that one.
Yeah.
Pretty good.
I like all those units.
Right.
Yeah.
Speaking of units.
People do want to know who was the Peloton instructor who floated your boat.
It's been a long time.
Okay.
I believe her name was Hannah.
Yeah, that was correct.
I would look it up, but it's probably in your Google searches.
It's auto-completed.
I assure you it's not the case.
No, that's an incognito window.
All right.
Time for a quick break.

One quick thing before we have Professor Selman.
I didn't tell anybody who that's who was coming.
He tweeted it out, but that's besides the point.
Okay.
Nobody's on Twitter.
What?
Nobody's on Twitter.
A lot of people are.
What a bots are.
Thursday, October 30th.
This was just announced at Lincoln Financial Field, Delaware State against Norfolk State.
Oh, they did.
Oh, they did.
Wow.
With the Sean Jackson against Michael Vick.
So that's at Lincoln Financial Field.
What day of the week is that?
A Thursday night.
Yeah.
So, yeah, that literally just came across.
I assume it's at night.
It is a Thursday.
that just came across the email as the show started.
So the Sean Jackson against Michael Vick coaching,
I wish I could tell you some of the players on the team.
Perhaps we'll talk about that then.
Jamal Jackson, I believe.
But that game will be at Lincoln Financial Field.
That's cool.
All right.
More or less, more or a fewer.
What's the, from an attendance standpoint,
I want to go through Temple's home schedules here.
What's, will this outdraw anybody?
Let me go through.
It won't voucher all the Oklahoma game.
Temple Howard, yeah, I forgot Temple plays Oklahoma.
So Temple Oklahoma, September 13th.
I'm annoyed.
I'm missing that one.
Kansas City, yeah.
Yeah, sorry to hear that.
Temple Howard, it'd be everywhere.
Probably more people at the Eagles game there.
Let's see.
Georgia Tech, that's on the road.
UTSA.
Fewer.
out of the, for the roadrunners.
Navy?
More.
More for the Navy game.
ECU.
Fewer.
Toulain.
Fewer.
That's a good, that's a good Tulane team.
John Summerall.
No, that.
They lost their quarterback in the portal.
I know.
He's the highest paid quarterback in college football.
He went to do.
That's it.
That's it.
That's the home schedule.
Do we have him?
All right.
It's time for the big deal presented by Cherry Hill Kia.
we love the professor.
And the professor has been texting us relentlessly.
We need to talk about this.
I'm free.
I'm free on Tuesday if we want to talk about this.
I'm free on Wednesday.
I'm leaving the country flying to Turkey for the next three months.
Please let me on.
And you do so much for us, Professor, that eventually we had to.
to relent. You have this, this pet topic that you need to unleash onto the world. What is the problem?
This is not for me. I mean, I'm trying to do this for the people. First of all, it's great to see all of you.
We are flying to Turkey literally tonight. And I have been texting Beau literally every day,
this week. And, you know, Bo's like, no, no, no, we need to, we need all the time to talk about
how Lakin Vakalahi is taking snaps at guard.
this week.
So there isn't time for this,
which,
I mean,
I care probably more about that
than literally anybody else.
So it's not,
it's not like,
you know,
I don't understand
the importance of all of that.
But I did think that we should at least
on the show mention,
the things that I'm,
have you guys done in your reporting on this?
Has anybody been asking around?
Exactly.
So let me enlighten the audience
as to what I'm talking about.
So Emily, Evern, and I got to go down to the link on Monday afternoon.
It was three days ago to have family photos taken with the two Lombardi trophies,
which were placed on podiums in an upstairs lobby outside the concourse on the north side of the stadium.
And we got to do this seven years ago as well.
And we immediately noticed upon arrival, this was not something that took a while to see.
It was immediately obvious to all of us that the old trophy, the Super Bowl 52 trophy from seven years ago,
has a massive dent in it.
It's on the ball part of the trophy.
It is on the left side of the trophy
when looking at it from the front
just under the line that forms the seam of the ball.
I would describe the size of the dent
by saying that it looks like something
about the size of a baseball hit the trophy very hard.
Now, I was obviously very curious about this
and asked to very friendly employees,
those of you watching,
can see the photos that I took of the trophy.
the very friendly employees who were on site.
They first joked about how it wasn't dented when we walked in.
And it was clearly a joke that they had been repeated throughout the day.
I like that one.
And then they turned quickly serious and said that Malcolm Jenkins dented the trophy
when he dropped it during the parade seven years ago.
Now, look, there's video widely available of Malcolm Jenkins nearly dropping the trophy
during his art museum speech.
the video is conclusive that the trophy was not dented on that incident.
The ballpark of the trophy doesn't even contact anything.
Not only that, but there have been seven years since of the trophy being displayed at all kinds of ceremonies, games, the stadium,
and there's not a single photo or report of it being dented.
I myself took a thousand photos of the trophy back in 2018 when we went down for the family photos then.
There's zero chance that the official explanation that Malcolm Jenkins dented the trophy at the parade is true.
And so I have been surprised that the growing suspicious, let me say,
of the fact that the most diligent, comprehensive group of beatwriters in the NFL
has been completely silent about the fact that the franchise's first ever Lombardi Trophy,
which the fan base waited decades for,
and it has been celebrating since it came to town seven years ago,
has a massive dent in it, which has not only gone unexplained,
but as far as I know, unreported.
and I posted photos of the dent on Monday.
There have been three days since,
not a single word from anybody,
about what it is.
The reporters were all,
you guys were at the facility.
You talked to players,
you talked to people who were related to the team,
and I am still waiting for some sort of news,
some sort of indication of what happened to the trophy.
Bo?
I'm waiting for answers.
Did you get a lot of,
did you get a lot of compliance on that post?
Did you get a lot of people concerned?
Three people replied.
27 likes, though.
I posted it on various social media platforms,
and I've gotten very little feedback.
And the other thing I'll say is,
yesterday I read a report that the Eagles have very suspiciously postponed
the ring ceremony from, I believe it was supposed to be this week.
Is that right, Jack?
It's supposed to tomorrow night, yeah.
To July.
July.
Tomorrow night.
Oh, okay, interesting.
So instead of tomorrow night, the ceremony is now going to be in July.
How are those two things related?
The official explanation is that the rings aren't ready.
Really?
The rings aren't ready?
No, every event, right?
The two trophies have been inseparable since the new one arrived.
And they clearly want both trophies to be on display at the spring ceremony.
And suspiciously, the rings aren't ready for Friday?
All right. I mean, listen, I'm not a conspiracy theorist normally, but the lack of any reporting about this story has me bewildered.
I'm going to, I'm nervous to do this because I'm afraid of what it could do to Dana is before he travels.
There are multiple versions of the trophies.
Yes.
So the version that you will take pictures with is probably not the trophy.
is probably not the trophy.
Yeah.
Interesting.
So that would be,
and I would say that the two,
the ring ceremony and the trophy,
the status of the 2020 17 trophy.
Trophy gate,
I think we can call it.
Yeah.
The biggest scandal since the bike heist of 2024.
I would say not connected.
Well,
the bike heist,
the bike heist only affected me.
I mean,
the trophy is everybody's.
So if you're saying that that's not
the real trophy, then that would be a different kind of, you know, disappointment.
But it would also explain why there's no, why there's no reporting.
Clearly you have done a lot of thinking about this, professor.
Do you have any leads? Do you have any suspects?
Just a bit. What do you think happened?
Well, you know, there are, there have been. I mean, so the Brandon Graham, would you guys
say that the Brandon Graham retirement ceremony, those were the real trophies for that event?
So there are no deaths in the trophies and the photos of that event.
What do we qualify as the real trophy?
Is it the one that's presented on Super Bowl night?
To France point, they have trophies in the trophy case, literally in the trophy case.
But at Jeffrey Lurie's home, there are trophies as well.
I hear that, from what I understand, there are trophies as well.
And then I also think that, you know, when they have these fans,
events, they're not unlocking the trophy case. I think they have a traveling Super Bowl trophy.
So it really depends on what qualifies as the real trophy. I see. Yeah. No, no. It could be,
you guys might be, that might be the explanation, which, you know, Brand and I would have
appreciated that explanation earlier this week. I mean, I've been texting me guys nonstop,
but it's a little disappointing to hear that, you know, they've just got like a, like a random
replica out there for the for the fans to see but uh it makes sense i mean i i would also say
that way one of my my favorite places in the city it's very meaningful independence hall
there the the bell is cracked that way that's what i said you're that way oh no no no i was pointing
point point that way yeah not that well you were pointing that way i was pointing that way i was pointing that way i
I pointed out.
I mean, rewind the tip.
Yeah, you were definitely more this way.
I was pointing south, okay?
South.
South.
Okay.
And part of the charm of the Liberty Bell is that it's cracked.
Well, I agree with that.
So part of the charm of this Lombardi trophy is that it's, it has the dent in it.
So they have this story to tell.
Now, poor Malcolm.
But there is no story to tell.
They don't know what the story.
There's been no stories, Zach.
I mean, I do feel like throwing Malcolm on the last.
Have they already done enough to Malcolm?
They unceremoniously released him.
Now they're, yeah, come on.
All right, Professor.
It is funny that rather than saying that that's a replica, they would say Malcolm Jenkins
dented it, which is very simple.
We'll see if we can get in touch with Malcolm so he can answer for his crimes.
All right, professor.
This sounds good.
Bon voyage.
That's all.
I have to pack.
Thank you for joining us.
Hope you guys on a great summer.
We can get to the bottom of this.
Have a safe vacation.
Thank you.
Safe travels.
I appreciate it.
All right.
Before we move on, now we have, of course, been talking about the sweepstakes to go to Green Bay
with the good folks at Philly sports trips along with us.
All expenses paid.
We are announcing the winner tomorrow.
on tomorrow show.
And if you want to learn more about Philly Sports Trips that do great stuff for any kinds of
Philly Sports Trip that you want to make, you can check it out at philly sports trips.com,
but it's too late to enter.
And I am going to announce now the 10 finalists.
Wow.
One of these 10 people will win tomorrow on the show, the trip to Green Bay for the Tush Push game,
the flights, the hotels, the tailgate, the game itself, the flight back,
all that good stuff.
The 10 finalists,
are you ready?
Raymond Lee,
Kevin Phillip,
Andrew Verica,
Varica,
Angela Picard,
Richard D. Donato.
That's a familiar name.
My fear.
That's a sick of.
Olivia Heudome.
Michael Byrne.
Ben Canfer.
Michael Valletto.
And finally, Robert Hamilton.
Wow.
One of those 10 people will win two tickets for the trip.
Are any of those 10?
Will, Will's in there.
Will.
All right.
And is I in it as well?
Or is the OMG, OMG, OMG, a response to Will?
I am reading the chat here.
This is an appropriate time.
We are interacting in this moment with the chat.
By the way, have you considered
a side gig
being at graduation
speech like announcing the names
I've always loved the graduation
name yeah you're good at that
yeah pronunciation and enunciation
well done I appreciate it okay I believe it's verica
is it there was a quarterback
so you build me up to bring no no no no no no no there was a
quarterback I mean far be it for for me to give any insight on pronunciations
but when I covered Virginia their quarterback with number 14 Mark Verica
He's from Monsinger Bonner, so perhaps this verica is related to that vera.
So hold on, which one is Will because I didn't read a Will name.
Maybe the Will, it's the stage name.
Did you read a Bill?
No. Raymond, Kevin, Andrew, Angela, Richard, maybe Richard?
Olivia, Michael, Ben, Michael, and Robert.
Anyways, that's awesome.
I know a Robert that doesn't go by Robert.
Yeah, okay.
Fair enough.
All right, Zach, give us your...
Zach, give us your NFL.
Subject change quickly there.
I don't go by Williams.
So this one, respectfully, is geared more toward Fran.
Okay.
Okay.
No disrespect taken.
Frank got me excited yesterday.
Oh, the sandwiches.
No, this is NFL.
Peloton rider.
This is better than Peloton rider.
Speaking of Fran getting people excited, we do have a super chat compliment you on the arms.
Oh.
Today.
Oh, thank you.
I mean, yeah.
Sure.
No big deal.
Yeah.
Go ahead.
So, Fran was, uh, watching Howard, he was, he was watching Harold Perkins.
It's the least surprising thing you're here all day.
Man.
I, I mean, for devoted listeners of our show, if you watch the episode I did with
Devin Jackson last year and I was talking about my favorite players in this year's draft,
2024, because Perkins didn't get hurt.
He, he, he got hurt during the season.
going into the year, I said, my favorite player in this upcoming draft is Harold Perkins on LSU.
I don't know what position he's going to play.
I know his, I know his, I know his, I know his measurements.
He's ever seen.
I know his measurements don't, don't jump off the page.
But when you watch this guy play football, man, he can play in any defense in the NFL.
So I just want to ask you here on this show, how much fun was it watching Perkins play football?
on a scale of one to 10 fun like a six I don't know what he thinks he plays i don't know what position
he's going to play football player unfortunately i don't think i've seen that on the depth chart for all
32 NFL teams football player he's 220 pounds uh so he he can't be a full-time edge rusher at 220
it's going to be very difficult he's really explosive they made it a point that staff to say okay
like he came in as a true freshman.
It was an edge rusher and had all this production.
And they were like,
all right,
well,
actually he can't play this full time.
So we have to make him a linebacker.
So in year two in 2023,
he basically split up his time,
even thirds between off ball,
edge,
and slot.
And then last year,
the first two games,
they're like,
all,
we're going to make them purely off ball
stacked linebacker and it didn't go well.
No.
And so then they're like,
all right,
we're going to try and go and try and split up and say,
okay,
it'll be like a Sam linebacker.
And he did that for two games.
And it was like,
And then he got hurt.
Why don't they do what he did when he was a freshman and let him get after the quarterback?
Because you couldn't block him.
Because he's 220 pounds.
No one could block him.
He was awesome.
He was a force out there.
Let's focus less on the label and the antiquated position prototypes.
And let's focus more on what you do on the field.
Look, they did this.
It's the same thing to Hassan Oretic when he came out of Temple.
They said, you're too small to play on the edge.
We're going to make you a stack linebacker.
then Hassan Reddick got moved back to the edge and you know what happened?
He was a force.
My comp for Harold Perkins is Hassan Redick.
Hassan Reddick, when he came out of Temple,
came in at the combine at just under 240.
Like, that's what I mean.
Like, that's a 20 pound difference.
He's very, he's going to be a fun conversation in April.
He's closer to Cooper Dijian size than he is to the Harold Landry size.
There's a reason why they gave him number seven.
Because he was born in Louisiana.
Because he is.
He's from Texas.
No, he's actually born in New Orleans.
He was his family vacated with due to a.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But he went to high school in Texas.
Yeah.
He moved there when he was one years old.
But Brian Kelly wanted to give him some love.
So I said, like, we're going to give you number seven.
Only goes to Louisiana kids, even though he moved out when he was one year old.
Like it.
Well done.
Which you will find in the draft guide if you are a diehard coming this fall.
All right.
Let's take a break.

vary all right Fran let's get your Eagles topic
all right so my Eagles topic
who is going to be
the next guy that
like elevates to
national stage start
him right like so let you know obviously uh zach bon i think kind of made that jump last year
to the point where now like all right he got paid he's one of the top three you think he's still
like a national guy i think he's i think now most people will point to him if they're they're
going to do like a top five linebacker list i think that's jack bond would be okay yeah he should be yeah
so cooper regime to me the first one that pops in my mind is yeah that was that was that was that
was that to me first got i think we have seen it just in like the eagle zeitgeist yes exciting
bike's notwithstanding that this is a player who has everyone's attention in Philadelphia.
So let's, I'll do the same thing as Zach. I'll give you four options here.
We're going to go and you can rank them in order that you think is most likely.
A stork ranking. A stork ranking. Cooper Dijin. Quinyan Mitchell, Nolan Smith, Cam Jurgens.
I'm going to go the exact order that you read them.
Cooper, Cooper, Quinion, Nolan. Yeah. Jurgens. I'm going Cooper.
one, no and two.
Yep.
Sacks sell, right?
Bo.
Julia.
I didn't do anything.
I thought that was good.
That's a good turn of phrase.
So if he's able to get to the quarterback,
like he did the second half of last year,
if you're like a 14 sack guy in this league,
that sells.
And you get 14 sacks.
And he's charismatic.
And so I think, you know,
he,
He can do a national interview and he can go on the Kelsey podcast or maybe the Ph. L.Y. Eagles show.
So he's my number two.
I'm going Juergens 3, Quineon 4.
Really?
Interesting.
Yeah.
Because of his personality?
Right.
Because of his personality.
Although I, I'm eager.
You want to see his personality.
Yeah, the exciting mics show.
The exciting mics.
It's true.
It's true.
Quinnian Mitchell enjoying the guys.
He looks like he has fun.
I mean, the parade, he was enjoying himself, as he should.
I mean, I think in theory, you know, a shutdown corner is the sexiest of those four things.
You think so?
Over the sack sell?
I think so.
A true shutdown, yeah.
Where would Morrow Ojomo rank on that list?
Fifth.
Fifth.
I think he's more of a pop in Philadelphia than a national guy.
Jaylick?
What about you?
They were just, those were other guys that came to mind.
I was like, there's a path where Ojoomo could.
could vault into that kind of stratosphere i got one wild card for you jihad campbell that's a good one it's a
good one yeah i i can see like if with a swiss army knife player well and it's also the uh the eagles did
it again yes exactly and you believe it you know at 30 yeah they got the best defensive rookie in the
class yes that's that's that's you could definitely see that happen yeah uh all right so that we have
one of each remaining i will give you my non football my question is do you guys have a is there
like a, you know, like a parking sign or a traffic sign in your neighborhood or anything
like that where like you are consistently breaking the rule? Like is, is there any, is there any
driving law or something like where you're like, you know what the rule is and you just thumb
your nose at the rule and you feel like it doesn't apply to you? Yeah. I, I sometimes, I mean,
it's okay. I'll tell you what mine is. I'm safe on the road. Yeah. A rolling stops, you know,
like the rolling stop. The rolling stop sometimes, right? There's like a three-way
stop sign when I know no one's going to be there and you slow down but you don't complete stop.
Look, look the three ways.
Yeah, I think as long as you are.
Yeah.
No, I don't really slow.
I don't roll through it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, the car stops, but it's not, you know, stop.
Look both ways.
Yeah.
Okay.
How about you?
Yeah, I've got one of those.
Just a stop sign?
Yeah.
It's right around the corner from my house.
It's, yeah, I know exactly the exact stop sign.
Yeah.
it's a roll-through. For me, it is, there is, it's on, it's on fifth. There's the CVS and the ACME.
And there's, there's nowhere to park it if you're going to the CVS, except the ACME parking lot,
which is just for ACME. I mean, I'm parking in that thing and going across the street for
five minutes all day, every time. I mean, sorry. We have the same thing. There's a,
every time. There's a pharmacy that is right next to,
one of our local coffee spots no free advertising uh and yes it's the same thing where like oh
this is for the pharmacy customers only and then the coffee spot is always full and i'm always
going into the the pharmacy parks in the parking spot yeah i mean you expect me to
give me more in the middle of this big lot over here yeah agree kind of get got to get the meds
yeah what are we doing okay uh zach you have your non football now to to take yeah so i'm
I'm curious for you guys and for the chat, okay, gym class etiquette here, all right?
So now, now this is now, mind you, this is a gym class, so things are moving quickly.
Do you have to wipe down after yourself in a gym class?
So like, so I was in a class this morning and, you know, you're doing, you know, you're benching.
And so you're, you're flex.
So, no, so you, so you.
No, you're on a bench, okay?
And so you get up and the next group comes in.
So F-45 is like, it's quick-moving.
There's a lot of different things like this.
You know, some people do, whether it's solid core or things like that,
Orange Theory.
In a quick-moving gym class,
are you obligated to wipe after yourself
because there's only 15 seconds between,
between drills.
It's, you know, I understand if you're in a gym and you're on the weight machine or you're
on the, you know, on the treadmill and you wipe AFFRAC.
What is everybody else doing?
Most people don't.
Some heavy sweaters.
I was going to say, are you having sweat?
I'm not a heavy sweater.
Some heavy sweaters carry the towel around.
Just do a quick sweat.
Yeah, just do the quick swipe.
But it's, I think it's more, you know, for show than anything else.
They're not like disinfecting it.
This whole thing is, is, is making.
I don't want to be rolling around and everybody else's sweat.
Yeah, but it's not, but you're, you're not on the bench for that long, you know.
Yeah, long enough.
It went, I think it went like, it went, I think like 45, 40, 35, 30, 30 in terms of like, you know, the segments there.
So I'm, I was just curious what, what the etiquette is in that situation.
Do I, should I start carrying the towel around?
because this morning I was like, look, I haven't really thought about it until the partner I was with this morning.
He was wiping his bench down.
Then there were two women who were coming after us.
And I wasn't wiping mine.
And then I'm like, do I look like I'm disrespectful to them?
I haven't been with a partner in the class before who's carrying the towel around.
So it just made me think about it.
I think I would be towel.
Okay.
But I guess, I mean, if you're, if you've been in these classes before and not everybody's doing it.
Most people don't have, most people don't have the towels in the class.
Yeah.
Either way.
Yeah.
Sounds kind of gross to me.
It's all.
It's all the, it's all for the 45 family.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
What does the chat say?
It's mine is yours.
Is Rich Bobby watching?
I'm with cousin.
She said I would just avoid that class.
I'm curious what Rich Bobby says
Because he's in at 45 devotee as well
I don't think he's in here today
Okay
He'll chime in on
See he's a blues guy guy
Yeah
So I'll check blues guy
That one
All right Fran give us your NFL
All right so we're gonna have an Eagles
Focused overtime
Wow
All right so we had the the Daniel Jones news
Or the sorry
Anthony Richardson news
With the Colts
Shoulder injury
Out until it's
point in training camp. So Daniel Jones looks like he's going to be, I mean, he certainly has the leg
up there in terms of the starting job for the Colts and Shane Steichen. So gross. These four
quarterbacks, store crank, how many starts for this year? Daniel Jones in Indianapolis,
Aaron Rogers with the Steelers, Sam Darnold with the Seahawks, Jackson Dart with the Giants.
So Aaron, Aaron Rogers, so we're presuming he's signing.
presuming he's signing.
Yep, that's part of the...
Part of the calculus.
It might not.
Correct.
Yeah.
Might not.
Most feel like he will.
So I'm going,
Darnold 1.
Darnold 1.
I think it's the right answer.
Rogers 2.
I am going with Jones 3, Dart 4.
Dart 4.
Part of me is,
I wanted to do something division specific.
And I was like,
I don't want to get too far
into like spread your winds and fly.
You're really protective of all kinds of like opinions
on the team is just for spreads your wins and fly.
I mean, you called it the number one game we do all year.
That was like a week ago.
Well, I forgot about how you forgot about swoop.
I would go darned one, too.
I would go, I think Aaron Rogers is going to turn to dust,
so I'll put him at the back.
I might go dart over Daniel Jones.
I mean, Daniel Jones is going to start the season probably,
but he's going to have a quick hook.
They're probably going to bounce back and forth
between the guys all year long.
It's just going to be tough.
for them to try and like shoehorn him in because my guess is he's not going to start right away
and they don't have a buy to like week 11 or week 12 and they're going to lose their job and
their start of their schedule is brutal in New York yeah well that's the thing they're going to be
oh and four they're going to have to just turn the turn the page right it's very tough do you think
that this Richardson thing means like an entire give especially new owner they're going to just
completely wiped a slate clean with the entire staff and in front office next off season
Um, well, no, I think, well, first off, uh, Ursay's daughter's been very involved over the last few years.
Um, so I don't think it's like going to be a huge, like, uh, big change there.
Um, I mean, I would, I would expect that they're going to be given a little bit of grace.
I mean, they just didn't see the Andrew Luck retirement coming, you know, when it happened.
Uh, no, I, I think that, yeah, uh, I do think they're probably coaching for their jobs.
Yeah.
I agree.
I mean, I think everyone there is on, is on the hot seat.
Okay.
All right.
My Eagles question.
I will read you the question and then I'll give you the options when we get to.
Overtime.
Premature?
A little bit.
That's okay.
Well, we can put it up again, right?
No, that's going to mess up the whole fast thing.
Okay.
Okay.
Who will be this year's...
Thomas Booker.
And by that I mean,
wow.
What do you mean by that?
The players who were on the practice squad last year,
okay.
Who elevate to being on the roster and a semi-contributor
and a testament to the Eagles player development system
spearheaded by Connor Barwin.
I will read you the choice.
This is our future.
So we're not doing the futures contracts game at some point here.
No, these aren't futures contracts guys.
These are guys who were in the building last year.
Yeah, but they sign futures.
Yeah, so.
We're going to save that.
We'll say that's a prime time.
We might go live on a Wednesday night on that.
Yeah.
All right.
Dallas Gant.
Toledo.
Second year linebacker from Toledo was taking snaps with the twos the past couple weeks.
Next to Smile Mondin.
6-2-224 at the playing a game last year on special teams.
I don't dislike a Dallas Gant.
I could be intrigued by a Dallas Gantz.
And if you talk yourself into,
Jahad Campbell's not going to be ready for week one.
We got a four linebacker.
at least. Maybe he makes the roster.
Dallas Gant. Gant, bet against that guy.
The defensive tackle from Baylor, Zach.
Gabe Hall,
6-6-2-95,
penetrating defensive tackle. Got a shout-out
from Vic Fangio. He did.
As a player who could take this leap,
Gabe Hall is on the list.
Lou Nichols.
Emergency Pod.
The dynamic,
Pick. Powerful running back.
Former seventh round pick of the Green Bay Packers.
I'm sorry. I don't mean to interrupt.
Technically, they did not sign them to a futures contract.
They signed to him.
I didn't say these are futures contracts players.
I'm just giving you the options of this year's Thomas Booker.
I sit corrected.
I am sorry.
Well done.
It's not well done.
It's just.
I sit corrected.
Poor job by me.
Andre Sam.
Second year safety from LSU.
510.
164,
194.
164 would be very slight.
Worked, got a couple
reps as they're rotating with the ones.
He's been working with the twos.
I think an interesting player,
Andre Sam.
You know his birthday?
I do know his birthday.
Well done.
Same as Cooper de Jean and Sequin Barclay.
Oh.
February 9th.
Lake in Vakalahi.
As Denny's
told us before, took some reps of guard.
I think probably a little too early for Lakin.
Now, those are the guys who are definitely in the mix.
I'll read a few others.
AJ Woods from Pitt, second year, 5-9-186.
You would ask me about who was taking the third team nickel reps.
And it was Brandon Johnson, but AJ Woods was in there as well.
So he's taking nickel reps.
And then you can debate whether or not these guys qualify.
But Ania Smith, Danny Gray, Lewis Seen, KJ Henry, O'Shawn Mathis,
Byron Young, guys who were all in the building of various levels last year, carried over.
Will one of them make the roster be a contributor?
Who would you put your money on?
This year's Thomas Booker.
I'm going with my guy, Danny Gray.
Really?
Yeah.
I think that there's real speed there.
I think that there's some draft pedigree.
He's someone that they quickly claimed off waiver, or not claimed off waiver,
were signed to the practice squad.
And I think that there's opportunity to be the number four wide receiver in this offense.
So it was between him and Louisine.
And.
Really?
What about Lewis Seen?
And Byron Young.
That's because so I...
So again, you were just sticking to the pedigree here.
Yeah.
I mean, not just sticking to the pedigree, but Byron Young and Lewis Seen were people that
they specifically wanted to have on the roster for a reason.
Danny Gray,
Just because I heard behind the scenes, he looked good.
He wrote the story last fall.
Yeah.
He was impressing in practice.
And he's made some, you know, he's made some plays.
He's very active going on Tuesday.
So I'm leaning toward Danny Gray, but I don't have a strong.
I'm not pounding the table for this one.
Okay.
He's not one of the my guys, right?
He's just the one I'm picking for this game.
Well, you and me, of course, are the Bryant Bros.
My man.
I'm going to go Gabe Hall.
Okay.
to me, I look at it as obviously they lose Milton Williams,
but you bring in Ty Robinson.
Byron Young, like, to me, like,
I think Byron Young is he was on the roster all last year by necessity.
You claim off waivers.
You felt like maybe he was going to, you know,
this is a guy you're going to play for the future.
I never viewed Young.
Like, to me,
you're talking about like maybe a Marlon Tui Polo 2 type, you know, maybe.
I think Gay Paul has a little bit more,
a little bit more upside there.
And happy Pride month, of course, to all of our,
all of our listeners and sick, as I said,
lickeners.
Yeah, I think Gabe Hall is a good one.
Yeah.
Since you're going with him, I might go Andre Sam.
My, my radar is up on Andre Sam.
I think he's a player who could be a Vic guy.
But I don't think any of these guys are interesting.
Maybe, maybe it would be nice if, it would be nice if,
I mean, we j.
about him yesterday, but it would be nice if K.J. Henry
O'Shawn Mathis showed some juice
in the summer and added to that group.
Whereas in this group,
where is the line of demarcation
for Camp Crush material? Are all
these guys in Camp Crush
candidates?
I actually would say yes.
Yeah, it feels like it. Yeah, I would say yes. These are all
potential candidates. Like Byron Young, even though it's
before Lewis Seen is a former first round pick. I think if
I mean, if it means you would have to rise
to a certain level, it would have to be a higher level
than a Lake in Vacala.
Yeah, but yeah, I think he's eligible.
Okay.
He's probably not going to be the pick.
Right.
Yeah.
Okay.
What does the chat think?
This year's Thomas Booker.
Very important.
Matt Alari says Andre Sam.
Joe Rockhead says Lewis Seen.
Steve Whitaker says you remind him of Alice Cooper.
Me?
Yo.
Who's Alice Cooper?
Blue's father.
Who?
Blue.
Blue Cooper.
Remember Blue Cooper?
No.
I don't know.
I don't know before your time.
Should I know Alice Cooper?
Yeah, probably.
Is this something I'm allowed to Google?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
I don't think that you need to know Alice Cooper.
I mean,
I don't need to.
How would I know this person?
In what context would I know Alice Cooper?
I mean, just as a human in the world.
I've never seen.
Is this a man or a woman?
I'm sorry.
Once again, happy pride months.
Oh, I'm not.
I'm saying I wasn't trying to be like controversial area.
I heard the name Alice.
So is okay.
With the picture.
Sorry.
I'll stop talking here.
I mean, I don't know if I'm supposed to know Alice Cooper.
I don't think I, yeah, I'm certainly not surprised.
And I don't think this is, I don't think this is of all the misses.
Yeah.
In your pop culture, Swiss cheese, I don't think that this hole is particularly...
I mean, Alice Cooper is appearing...
Is Alice Cooper the name of a band, or is it a person?
It's a person.
Okay.
Well, Alice Cooper is appearing in Philly on August 15th at 6 p.m.
Tickets start at $173.
So it must be popular.
Yeah.
I...
Wait, schools out.
It's like schools out for the summer?
I sing that song every year the last day of mini-killed.
That is Alex
That is Alice Cooper
Yeah
Yeah
I
Chat you can laugh at me
I mean
No this is not
This is not even in your top 50
Yeah
I don't know if that's a compliment or an insult
I'm just surprised like like Wayne's World
Did you watch Wayne's World?
I yeah I watched Wayne's World
He's familiar with Wayne's world
I remember the
I remember it vaguely
But
Yeah
I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I just, the picture that came up didn't strike me as an Alice when I saw it, that's all.
But I'm not, by any means.
Al for short. I'm staying out of that, okay.
Um, um, awesome. Uh, uh, this is, yeah, this is great.
Awesome.
Awesome. Awesome.
how did this conversation start?
I remind them about
Alice Cooper which
Oh yeah, okay
given your reaction so far
I don't know how to take that
but awesome
I did watch hanging with Mr. Cooper
growing up.
Yeah, that was a good one.
Yeah.
Classic after school show.
So my guess is that
there's some people who might know Alice Cooper
who did not watch hanging with Mr. Cooper
and I don't cast judgment upon you
for not knowing Mr. Cooper, nor should you cast judgment upon me for not knowing Alice.
Let's play the Cooper game. Let's go. Let's go around everybody. We'll go, we'll go
until we run out of Coopers. All right. So you can start with Alice Cooper.
I'll start with Cooper to Jean. Okay. Yeah.
Let's go with Marcus Cooper, former NFL corner.
Okay. Alice Cooper. I mean, I'll take the low-hanging fruit.
Sure. Keep the game going. Go ahead. Yeah, I'll go Coop. He is the main character of the show
Friends and Neighbors right now. It's the John Hamm character.
Are you enjoying it?
Yeah.
Although I have some commentary.
I don't want to give it away because the finale was last week.
But I did enjoy it.
It was a, it's a fun show to watch with Emily.
Yeah.
Okay.
Bo's favorite receiver, Riley Cooper.
Blue Cooper.
I would go with, we already did hang with Mr. Cooper.
No, we didn't.
Oh, okay, hang with Mr. Cooper.
Let's go with former NFL
assistant Evan Cooper.
Nice one.
Temple
Temple Made.
Hashtack Temple Made.
Scott Cooper.
Who's Scott Cooper?
I don't know.
It's a name in my head.
Who is Scott Cooper?
I will go Michael Cooper,
the former Los Angeles Laker.
American director and screenwriter.
The former Los Angeles Laker and Los Angeles Sparks
head coach.
Michael Cooper.
Okay.
I might be out.
Oh, well, no.
Cooper flag
there you go
I can't believe you got you scoop
Zach on that one
I was waiting for him
but I figured the main
connection you would get
Cooper Kevin
give me
WMBA all-time great
Cynthia Cooper
a big time Cynthia Cooper fan
I yeah
I like those comments teams
I will go
well not as much as the Charlotte Sting
but
Amari
Cooper
Ah, how did we let him mark Cooper go?
Yeah.
Oh, I see in the chat.
There's one.
Unfortunately, if you put it in the chat, it means they're not eligible.
I'm out.
Can I do it?
Oh, we didn't say Bradley Cooper.
That's it.
Oh, come on.
Joyous High School.
I was about to say Cooper Cup.
Can I say Cooper Cup now?
Go for it.
You just saw it in the chat.
I know, but I said I was about to, and now I see it in the chat, but that was my next one.
I'm saying Cooper Cup.
Okay.
Yeah.
If I can't go Bradley Cooper,
then I might be out as well.
There's a former Red Sox player, Cooper.
Oh, you know what?
No, there's a player in Major League Baseball now,
Cooper Hummel, right?
Well, I don't know.
It must be in the American League.
He got designated for assignment recently.
Okay.
Let me see.
Cooper Hummel.
Cooper Hummel, sir.
Yep.
Cooper.
I believe the Orioles designated him for assignment.
He got designated by his first assignment for.
from like three teams in one week.
I saw, I think it was a Ken Rosenthal tweet,
like a tough week for the toughest week of Cooper Hummel's career
or something like that.
Oh, it was Scott Cooper.
Oh, okay.
The baseball player, the third basement for the Red Sox,
the different Scott Cooper.
But that's the Scott Cooper I was thinking of before.
All right.
We'll let you have it with the, the FAA Cooper.
Go super chat.
All right, super chat from CDP, Zach.
Let's do you this rank all the U.S. presidents, please.
Ah.
you know what we don't have time for this you got to listen to the customers though yeah
it's the pizza shop I mean number one is a Bartlett he's my favorite president but he
unfortunately he's fictional I would love if he was real I mean Abraham Lincoln abolish
slavery so he would be number one on my list I think that's that's really important
and so then after I mean there's yeah give us your round your Mount Rushmore yeah Mount Rushmore
and stay away from Mount Rushmore, I suppose.
No, I mean, I would go with, I don't know, this is a hard one.
Anderson Cooper.
Yeah, they all have their own redeeming qualities.
Gary.
They all have their own redeeming qualities?
Or not they all.
Some have more redeeming qualities than others.
I mean, Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence,
but not when he was president.
You know, I mean,
Franklin Roosevelt, you have to put, I mean, Harry Truman ended the war,
but then there was also a very ethical dilemma there.
So I'm trying to, I try to stay down the middle.
I don't want to offend anybody.
I mean, personally, I've been on record saying that if I could have dinner with anyone,
it will be Barack Obama.
And so, you know, he's someone that I really admire,
but I also acknowledge that, like, you know,
if you look at the presidents of the first 150 years,
they were dealing with like, you know, wars to save society,
you know, to save the country, right?
So you probably lean more toward like George Washington
during the Revolutionary War,
but then there's the ethical dilemma
because George Washington on slaves.
So, so, we're not a country without George Washington.
So this is all, this is very difficult for me.
I'm not ready, you know,
you know, I mean, you know, John Kennedy achieved quite a bit during his three years.
Then there's presidents who like time really, you know, time really favored them.
Like they weren't revered during their time.
Like, you know, I think Woodrow Wilson created the League of Nations.
But at the same time, the country went into a depression after Richard Wilson was there.
Um, you know, so this is, this is really, you know, Eisenhower created the interstate system,
which, which really changed, you know, commerce in this country. And, but so this is all, I'm, I'm,
I need time to think about this. I give you a good answer. So I'm not, I'm not ready to answer this
one right now.
All right. Zach, I think, given all of the rakes that you were trying to avoid stepping on there,
I think you handled that pretty well.
Claire has a follow-off.
I think you are sweating.
I'm sweating.
I need a towel for the seat after me right now.
F. 45 does nothing for him, but ask him to publicly rank presidents,
and all of a sudden he needs that sweat towel.
Steve, with a very nice donation.
As a super chat, we appreciate that.
And then Claire says,
I'm mad about the Green Bay contest,
but still needs Zeeb's ranking of the worst five presidents.
I mean, I'm staying away from this one, Claire.
I really appreciate everyone who watches our show
and certainly don't want to.
Yeah.
And, you know, there's, there have been past presidents
who say that you can't properly judge presidents
until history has been written.
Like so, I'm staying away from that one right now.
Is it more or less the NFL draft rule?
How about the worst?
Who would you say was the worst president before you were born?
Oh, I'm probably Fillmore.
Yeah.
I mean, but yeah, Philmore.
No, this is, this is something I don't appreciate, unfortunately,
but I want to like Zachary Taylor and James Buchanan.
James Buchanan was the only Pennsylvania born president.
And Zachary Taylor is right over.
He's that way.
And Zachary Taylor is only Zachary president,
but neither one of them were particularly effective presidents.
Philmore was only president for like a very short period of time.
So he really didn't accomplish anything, right?
So I'd have to go Philmore.
Well, yeah, do you go, is it worse to be, you know, William Henry Harrison?
Yeah, Harrison.
Or is it worse to be someone who was president and did real damage?
Yeah.
An Andrew Jackson type.
Yeah, yeah.
That's probably where I would go.
I mean, Philmore.
Sorry, I'm going.
I'm conflating.
I'm staying away from this.
Yeah.
Anyways.
It's a good question.
I think he did a good job here.
I agree.
I might be conflating Fillmore with somebody else pro long John.
I apologize.
I am under...
You're thinking of Harrison?
Yeah.
I think, yeah.
I might have been conflating Fillmore with Harrison.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah. Harrison died in 30 days.
Okay.
He's one who got sick at the State of the Union, right?
I don't know why I thought that was Fillmore.
Sorry.
Who is?
your favorite.
You know what, Zach?
Don't beat yourself up because this is not the thing.
You made it, you made it, uh, 76 minutes of, uh, flawless show.
Don't beat yourself up on conflating.
Yeah, you know, Alice Cooper really threw me through us.
Really threw me out.
Yeah.
What are we going to say?
Who is your favorite fictional president?
Knowing with who's,
I mean, it's got to be, uh, Bill Pullman.
That's that thousand percent.
Yeah, you gotta give that speech.
Yeah.
Jed Bartlett without a doubt.
That is the answer.
Yeah.
I mean, there's no present I know more about than Jed Bartlett.
So.
I believe that.
All right.
Great stuff today.
I mean,
I don't want to speak for Zach,
but I think the Brandon Brooks episode is here.
My thing is inched right above.
I'm sorry to the Fillmore family.
I did not meet you.
You're a seasoned to cyst from the Fillmore estate.
Yeah, you don't see a lot of Millards.
Yeah, Millers didn't last the test of time.
All right.
That'll do it for this episode of the PHA by Eagles podcast.
Zach and I are back tomorrow at 2 o'clock.
We will be telling you who we think are the three most mediocre presidents of all time.
And we'll have plenty of other Eagle stuff to talk about for Fran and Julia and Zach.
I'm Bo.
We thank you for watching and listening.
Comment below.
we want the firemen to let us know.
And as always, we love you.
