Hello, everybody, and welcome to the PHLY Eagles show live from the Xfinity Mobile Studio,
and presented by Bet365 and Ashley Bo Wolf, E.J. Smith, E.J., we have some Eagles news to unpack.
How are you, my friend?
I am doing well. It is good to see your face. It's good to be back in the non-hosting chair.
I enjoyed my time hosting, but it's good to have you back, Bo.
And I'm excited we have some Eagles news to talk about at the top of the show.
even. I have made my way through two and a half to three of the four episodes. You've done a
fantastic job so far. Thank you. Thank you. I am just glad that you were back, though. I cannot say
that enough. It was good experience. We had fun. You know, I think you proved you don't need me.
No, that is not true. I need you in more ways than you even know. Now we're talking.
Been it done inside and outside the studio here on the P. H.O. Y. Eagle Show, E.J. Let's get to it.
we have tangible, real news for the Eagles and probably about the best news that they could have
gotten at this juncture of the offseason.
Yeah, so I completely agree.
Lane Johnson is officially returning for another season with the Eagles.
It was reported by Jeff McLean earlier in the day who he cited Lane Johnson as the source.
And I can confirm it after talking to people around Lane.
I can confirm it.
I saw a Lynn's Instagram.
Yes.
But, you know, the social media stuff is at least a little cryptic, but yes,
Lane Johnson intends to play another season with the Eagles here.
And I agree with you.
This is probably the biggest swing that could happen on the Eagles roster this soft season in terms of you're not going to find another Lane Johnson anywhere.
You're not going to find one in free agency.
You're not.
You may find an heir apparent to Lane Johnson in the draft.
But as a contending team, a player like Lane Johnson returning is really one of the biggest things, one of the biggest developments that they were waiting on.
And yeah, now they have clarity for that going into draft season.
and into free agency.
So a big day for the Eagles, one that I think, you know, we were trending toward, I would say.
You know, we talked about how it was up in the air.
Layton Johnson had a decision to make.
But, you know, there were indications that he was interested in playing at least another season after the way last year ended.
And yeah, again, the fact that they have this solid now moving forward through the offseason,
it's probably something that if you want to size up how much of a contender the Eagles are,
you would say this keeps them as a contender.
You know, without Lane Johnson, I mean, we can get into it.
Their struggles without him are significant.
So, yeah, I would say this keeps the window open this decision.
Yeah, so we've got a lot to get to on this front.
And later on, I'll ask you about Christian Parker's opening press conference.
We'll do that as well.
And I know you're going to write about this Lane Johnson decision on all-PHLY.com.
Everybody should check that out.
And by the way, since we're sending you to the all-PHly.com website,
go ahead and click on that.
merch button because there's a great deal going on right now, 30% off on the PHLY merch store,
site-wide clearout. So get your hands on some of that good stuff. Now, back to the Lane
question on hand. I think, as you say, I think we were expecting this. But it's also, I mean,
it is very interesting. Lane Johnson, this will be year 13, year 14. 14, yep. Year 14. It'll be 36
six years old, it will be the first time that he is ever playing without Jeff Stoutland as his
offensive line coach. Now, I don't think that that means, you know, Lane is going to be any worse
for where, but it's going to be a different thing. And this offensive line, I mean, listen,
there is a real chance. This is the last year for Lane and Lain and Dickerson, if he does come back,
and Cam Juergens, depending on, you know, whether his contract is restructured. And then it could be
Tyler Steen's last just based on performance.
He's going to be an unrestricted free agent after that.
So it's kind of like a last ride for these guys.
Do you think water gun to your toe, week one, that is the starting five?
I do think that's the starting five week one.
It would not surprise me in the slightest.
I actually would probably put like 70 turkeys on it,
not being the starting five by week 18.
I think that, I mean, you're playing the odds on the injuries.
Not counting injury?
Oh.
No, you're playing the odds of the.
injuries there. But even still, we can talk about Cam Juergens at some point here too. I think there's
uncertainty on what he's going to look like going into next year. I think he will be the week one starter,
but, you know, if he has a season like you did last year, if there's a better alternative than what
they had in Brett Tooth last season, if they draft someone high, I could see that player pushing
for that spot of Cam Jurgens continues to struggle. And yeah, no, I mean, I was accounting for
injury there. But even if you just said Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson, I would probably account
for injury enough to say, I don't know if those guys make it all.
the way to Week 18. We should note, by the way, Derek Gunn and Jeff McLean reported earlier today
that Landon Dickerson is also expected to come back for another season. I know that there was some
concern about him potentially retiring because of all the injuries that he's dealt with. But
yeah, no, I do. I think that there's clarity going into the season, but this is one of my big
takeaways from Lane's decision is that I would be shocked if this, if Hallie Rosen, if we hear,
when the next time we hear from Howie Roseman, if he goes, yeah, you know, Lane's coming back.
So we probably won't prioritize that in the draft, even with the truth serum.
I don't think that this changes their draft plans.
I don't think it changes much for them in the short, in the long term on how they'll plan at this position.
It's just, it's good that they can then set up a succession plan for Lane Johnson with Lane Johnson as part of it.
Because, you know, I wanted to know, like Lane has said before he wants to be, you know, in, he wants to be a mentor for the player that eventually replaces him.
He had that with Jason Peters, you know, in theory at least.
and I think he would be open to having an error apparent to kind of bring through the ranks here.
Yeah.
I think what you're saying, though, is this changes a lot about the outlook for the 2026 Eagles.
Yes.
But I agree.
I don't think it changes at all how they feel about the draft.
Right.
And the need to add offensive one help.
And it shouldn't.
Because listen, even though it changes how good the 2026 Eagles are on paper,
Lane Johnson just missed the entire.
second half of the season with a foot injury that may not be going away and there's no guarantee
he's going to make it through this next season so yeah they need to be prepared for not just a
long-term succession plan but they need to be prepared for what's our backup plan this year yeah and
everything about the eagles under hallie roseman would suggest that they will view it exactly like
that um you know we're talking about landon dickerson like they drafted him without knowing exactly
where he would fit on the interior offensive line just knowing that those that that that
having quality depth there is important. And he played a lot of games as rookie season and has gone on to
become a good player. I think that that is going to be the same template you follow this offseason,
where it is, you know, maybe you don't have a clear starting spot available, but you draft someone
who's versatile, can play multiple spots and can fill in at tackle or guard for that reason. So,
yeah, no, I think, again, that the way that Howie Roseman builds a roster, the way that, you know,
philosophically he approaches and prioritizes the offensive line position, the positions across
the offensive line. I do. I think that they will still prioritize getting, you know,
whether it's a guard or a tackle or someone with that versatility. I think they'll prioritize
that in the draft. Here's a question for you. Of the starting five, who lasts the second longest?
The second longest. So you're saying that because you think Jordan Milata is the obvious one.
So are you saying from right now or who has the longest career? No, from right now, who is
from right now who lasts the second longest.
That's really tough.
As a starter for the Eagles.
Yeah, I mean,
I probably would have to go,
I'd have to go Juergens.
I think that's probably the chalk answer.
I think I would probably still go Linden Dickerson.
I mean, yeah, because you think
like he might play two more years.
Yeah.
I think I'd go Juergens.
He's younger.
I mean, listen, the guy was just in Columbia.
I want to hear your thoughts on this, by the way.
The guy was just in Columbia getting
stem cell transplant or treatment to fix what I presume is a pretty bad back injury.
And I'm saying that he's going to last two more years.
Let's see how many trips he's making to the bathroom over the next few times we see him.
Yeah, it was an interesting one.
I mean, every time you're going to Columbia for, I mean, listen, no shade to Columbia.
But anytime you're leaving the country because what you're, what you need to get done is not legal in the country that you live in.
it's a little bit. It's just, it was eyebrow raising, but, um, listen, I actually, I don't know if you
listen to this part of our show, but I did think that Cam, like, being like open about it was
refreshing because he's been so cagey about his health and about his playing. I thought Nyberg was
great, by the way. The what was great? Nyberg. Oh, yeah. I mean, listen, we had, we had a bunch of
great guests. Fantastic. Great chemistry. Yeah. Yeah. He's one of my, like, favorite people. He's just a
very just, uh, yeah, he's just got a great personality. So I was glad.
that showed that he should that that showed during the show are you trying to think of my
my other favorite people now no i was just i've i enjoyed that show yeah yeah um and he had
good insight on cam jergins going to columbia for the stem cell treatment there um so i i would
still say cam i think that there's at least a a way that he comes back plays well next season and
kind of settles in as the starting center for a few more years but um i think landin might be the
safe for a choice because you know he's going to be good at least you know good enough a starter
quality player for the eagles yeah yeah he might be a starter for two more years or maybe three maybe maybe
three i mean listen you think there's i think there's a possibility that this is not even lanes last
year if it goes super well like that's that's on the table yeah yeah i mean these retirement's tricky
it's hard to know like we talked about it with vick it's like i think these guys they seriously
consider it every year and then yeah when they decide to come back it's always framed like oh they got one
more year in them. It's like, I think it's just going to be a year-to-year thing. But it would not
surprise me if this was his last year, obviously. Okay. I mean, yeah, on the elsewhere on the lane front,
are you like, are you just counting on him to be playing at the same level? Do you, are you,
how interested are you in the new offensive, you know, the Chris Cooper of it all? Yeah, I don't,
I think, I don't think that Chris Cooper will impact Lane's play very much. I think it's just a question of
injuries. And I do think that Lane should be back to the level that he was before.
You know, he's played at a high level even after those ankle injuries, which really seemed
debilitating. I think the Liz Frank injury from, you know, talking to people and from what I
understand about the nature of that injury, it is, it's hard to play through it. It's hard to come
back from it, especially the way that Lane tried to come back from it by foregoing the surgery.
But I do feel like with the benefit of an offseason of rehabilitation, he should be able to
to make a recovery there. But honestly, I'll be, I look forward to hearing from Lane about these
types of things. You know, we haven't heard from Lane a lot since the predictable press conference
after, I think that was what, week three or week four of the season. I can't remember the exact week,
but, you know, he said the offense was predictable. And really after that, he just kind of swore off
doing media, especially with like local beat reporters. So we haven't heard from Lane in a while,
but my guess is this isn't the hardest injury he's had to come back from.
But like I said, I'd love to ask him.
Well, hopefully we'll get that chance to talk to him soon enough.
What about you?
You think there's a question about whether he'll be quite the same?
I mean, I think even if he's...
No, I think if he plays, he's going to be one of the best right tackles in football.
Yeah, I think even if he's 80% of what it used to be, that's still one of the best tackles in football.
But I think the other question is if you're the coaching staff, how much do you want to be on the roller coaster of, like, is he playing?
playing. I mean, obviously you want him out there, but if it's the kind of thing where it's like,
oh, the old Jason Peters thing where like, you know, he plays like the first 10 plays, but then he
has to come out. Like, that's not ideal. Yeah, I don't think he's quite there yet. I don't think so.
We were there. Yeah, I mean, especially like with how tough he is, he plays through a lot.
And, you know, we, we should, I mentioned it earlier in the show, but their record with and
without lane, like going through it earlier today, it's staggering. I know we have, we've got the
numbers here. Blas off bad boy up. Yeah, the Eagles are 96, 41, and one.
with Lane Johnson in the lineup without Lane Johnson since 2016.
They're 15 and 28.
I mean, that is, I know that there's context that we need to account for here.
Like, you know, Lane missed most of that 2020 season, which was a disaster.
But at the same time, like, it was partly a disaster because he was out.
And really, every time he's out of the lineup, it feels like they struggle.
You know, last season, I think they were three and five without him and they were eight and two with him.
So, yeah, their record with him in the lineup, I mean, it speaks to how impactful a player he is, how important he is, not just from like a, you know, quality of play every down perspective, but also the way they build their team, you know, the way that their offense works, the, you know, the amount of responsibility they put on both Jordan Milata and Lane Johnson without leaving. I mean, I know they kind of change it up a little bit, leaving guys into the protection. But, you know, historically over the years, they have.
have been less reliant on tight ends and running backs helping the offensive line because they
trust Lane Johnson, Jordan Milata, before Jordan Milata, Jason Peters to really be able to operate
on an island and win those one-on-one matchups. Do you mean Jordan Milata?
Is this going to be like a full off-season thing? Like it's just going to like snowball into the
being. I don't know. I mean, I like it. I'm easy, breezy. You know, speaking of Australians,
you know, no idea what I'm about to say.
Uh, the coffee place.
No, no, I have, you have no idea what you're about to say.
You have an all right idea, what I'm about to say.
Uh, the coffee place that was on radio row, I enjoyed the coffee I got from there so much.
I ordered the beans that they were using and it's like, oh my god, it took me right back.
And now I have, now every morning, they're like my favorite, no, listen, I've got some beans on the way.
Shout out to our boys at a heady cup. I'm waiting on those.
Just, just one boy, Joe.
Shout out to Joe.
Okay.
I'm sure there's other people.
I should have said shout out to our people at Heddy Cup.
No.
Sure, there's a lot of people out there.
I haven't gotten that package yet.
So I bought the beans from the Super Bowl place.
And yeah, very strong, very strong.
Okay, there you go.
Good stuff.
Let's head to break.
We'll come back.
We'll talk a little bit more about this offensive line.

You know, I got to make sure.
So only now are you paying attention to the words that come out of my mouth?
You know, I never had to before, but now.
I have to, I got to steady.
I got this.
Go ahead, go ahead.
Tell me when to stop.
Stop.
Oh.
Oh, you got a baseball card.
Okay.
Rico Bronia, a Rico Bronia Philly's card here.
How did it happen to be a Phyllis card?
Very, very fortunate because I was going to tell you, I was, I miss.
all this news while I was gone.
The reworked PHAWI Philly show.
Very exciting.
Corey Seidman joining the squad and our dear friend Jamie Lynch three times a week
with special guests, including Cuzz on the P.H.O.Y. Phillies podcast.
That's very exciting.
That was a very good transition by you.
I appreciate that.
Listen, we got a Philly.
I got all these stacks of baseball cards here.
Could have been Pat Borders.
Could have been anybody.
But no.
Rico Brose.
We are all aspiring to have a beard as strong as corned as beer. Check out the view of this.
We've got to work on that. Check out this Mickey Morandini picture. Did you just put his butt up to the screen?
No, look at this picture. Look this haircut on Mickey Morandini. I mean, that's a great photo.
Great hair. Right hair. All right. So, excited about that. Yeah, absolutely. Back to,
to Eagles business here.
Lane Johnson is back. E.J., what do you make of it?
you know i still here's uh here's a question uh how many turkeys would you now put on fred johnson
returning yeah no it's a great point um i probably put like 25 30 i think i mean listen i talked to fred
at the end of the season and he said if lane comes back he will look for a starting opportunity
elsewhere um you know i i think it really is just going to depend on whether there's a market for
him to find a starting opportunity elsewhere.
I would be surprised if he couldn't find one.
You know, at the very least a chance to start somewhere.
I don't think he's going to sign a contract where it's like, oh, he's a guaranteed
starter.
But no, I think it'll probably be similar to the way last year went for Fred Johnson, where
he signs with a team where he feels like he has a pathway to starting a tackle.
And yeah, I think it's tough because I'm not sure that Fred is, he's not like an Eagles level.
starting offensive tackle.
But I think there are places across the NFL where he should be good enough to start.
So I think it's a matter of if he finds the right place.
If it's market doesn't materialize, I'm sure the Eagles would love to have him back,
you know, because of how much they value that swing tackle position.
But, you know, as much as I've heard Fran talk about Maxi Hanachor and Caden Proctor at this
point, I still think, like, they might find a swing tackle in the draft.
And, you know, Fred Johnson might be happier somewhere else by the time we get there.
He might be signed with somebody where, again, he has at least a better chance to overtake someone for a starting job.
Here's a take for you.
If the Eagles are drafting Caden Proctor or Maxi Honachor or somebody of that ilk,
that guy's not being a swing tackle year or one.
That guy's taking Tyler Steen's job.
Oh, you think so?
Okay.
Yeah, I think more likely.
Yeah, I could see it.
I think.
And then what, are you Banking Steen your swing tackle?
I guess so.
I mean, it depends on how
advanced that prospect is.
Maybe they can do both.
Yeah, I think we've learned now that like when you look at the Eagles
offensive line, you really need to look at it as like the top seven.
So I don't have a problem with that.
I think that you have, they need to add to that number six and number seven spot.
You know, like Matt Pryor and Fred Johnson, like obviously Fred was a solid swing tackle.
But I think if you could get two developmental players,
and you account for Drew Kendall probably in there as well.
You feel better about that group going into next year.
I wanted to mention to you, by the way,
I think there is like a real feeling of like one last ride
for this Eagles team right now, right?
You know, Lane coming back, Vic coming back,
Landon now reportedly coming back as well.
I'm not saying all these people will be gone in one year,
but there is a chance.
There's absolutely a chance that this is one year
that they are kind of giving to this championship window.
I think that's right, because that's for the coaching staff too, right?
I mean, the head coach and the defensive coordinator.
You know, Vic is one last ride, right?
I think that's probably the right framing that, and here's the problem.
Howie can't afford to approach the offseason with that same mentality.
Yeah.
He needs to think big picture, and he knows this.
I'm not giving him advice.
this is the way that he has to be thinking.
But the players can feel that way.
The coaching staff can feel that way.
And you can make some moves on the margins with that in mind.
Presumably whatever big picture, you know, big splash they make in free agency.
We'll have that in mind.
But the draft can't be like that.
So I don't know.
Yeah, because it's very interesting.
I think you're right, though.
There is a real feeling of, okay, one more time.
Let's try to make this happen.
which usually is kind of a it's kind of a bad sign i mean you know when does that ever like okay
okay this time we're finally going to make it work or like you know trying to save your marriage
with a baby like i don't know yeah so really quick fran said in the chat ihan of chore is
probably tackle only uh proctor may be an ideal guard like mackay becky back and i know that franz
talked about Proctor maybe being someone that you let fail at tackle before you put him at guard
or vice versa maybe. You let them succeed at guard and bump them out to tackle. But to your point,
I hear what you're saying. I would push back because I feel like with championship teams,
this does happen. You know, you win a championship and there's sort of like different iterations
of the teams that, of these types of contending teams. You think about the chiefs where they kind of have
to turn it over from like a Tyree Kill receiving core, an offense built around Tyree Kill and
Travis Kelsey to kind of evolving into something more and moving on from Tyree Kill.
I think that there's...
Yeah, but that's different than, okay, we got one more chance with this group.
Well, no, I think that that is the same thing where, I mean, I know that they didn't frame it like,
oh, this is probably our last year with, you know, Tyree Kill and, you know, with, yeah, whatever,
you know what I mean, like the Patriots dynasties where it's like, okay, like, there's got
to be an evolution that happens here.
I think you kind of do know that this version of the Eagles is probably coming to like a needing a transition more quickly than we expected.
You know, like a year ago, if you and I were sitting on the show, we would have been talking about how the windows seem like it would stay open for a long time.
But it's hard to keep teams that talented together.
You don't think so.
You think that we would have words in my past self's mouth.
I would have said it.
I would have said they have a young ascending defense and I got a lot of guys on rookie contracts.
I said, you know, during that 2024 season, you know, I coined this, that they had the most valuable defense in terms of the amount of players they had on rookie deals, the amount of money they were spending on the defense and how good it was.
I think it was probably the best value proposition.
And, you know, I would have expected because of that they would have been able to navigate this championship window and keep it open longer.
But I do.
I think that this is kind of coming to a, I would, I don't know if I'd say a logical end, but an end for this version of this team going into next year.
And I think that they kind of recognize that based off of, you know, some of the things that we've heard about, again, Vic Fangio, Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson reportedly. Like, okay, like, we'll come back because we still have a chance to do something here.
Well, yeah, now that we got Parks Frazier coaching the quarterbacks, we're in good shape.
Yeah, I mean, that is the real, I mean, there's a lot of volatility to your point about like not the entire organization isn't operating that way.
It's kind of these individuals. And I do. I think the coaching staff.
does have an urgency.
And, you know, it's funny because, like, if Hallie Rosen was, like, really leaning into that,
so what do you do?
You, like, go sign.
I know you won't like this, but go sign Kyle Pitts, like, move up in the draft to go get,
like, a, you know, a stud-wide receiver.
You know, just, like, really try to paper this thing together for one more year and then figure
it out.
But, you know, I don't think it's going to happen that way.
Okay.
What did you think of the Kyle Pitts?
Push all your chips in on Kyle Pitts.
They're not going to do that.
But I thought you guys were maybe a little easy on Parks Frazier.
Oh, I don't think so.
I think I was, I mean, you know me.
I'm like measured in everything I say on this show and really just in life.
But no, I think me saying I was surprised I didn't go with someone more experience was.
Okay.
I think that spoke for itself.
Okay.
Thanks fair.
What was I going to say?
No, I lost my train of thought.
Are we talking about Kyle Pitts?
I wanted to ask you, you didn't get to this.
You didn't watch the show with ZB.
I have not watched yet.
Are you going to watch it?
Yeah.
Okay, good.
Well, I guess we'll save it because we talked about Jalen Phillips free agent market.
And him and I do not see eye to eye on that one.
I don't know.
Like, my thought on the Jailen Phillips thing is the average annual value doesn't matter to the Eagles or wouldn't matter to me.
it's the year it's the it's the guaranteed years okay i'll pay him 25 for one year
hmm okay uh or you know even i don't know guarantee 45 for for two years or something like
that okay so you do but i don't want i do not want a long-term commitment so you would do like
two years probably like you said guarantee 45 so what are you paying him i mean that's
that's what's what's what's like the yeah let's say if you're paying him around 2025 what like the yeah let's
So you would do like two years.
It doesn't scare me.
I don't want to be committed to him long term.
So you do like two years, 50 million, like 40 guaranteed.
Sure.
And you can do, you know, you can make it sound like it's four years, $100 billion or whatever.
But the actual under the hood, you know, it needs to be something that you can get out of after two years.
You know what?
This is what I love about our daily podcast format.
This is like the natural evolution of the.
a conversation about something.
And I'm, listen, I am like hard plugging our show right now because we talked about this on
Monday with Jeff Nyberg.
And we were like, you know, Chase Young deal is the template.
It's got to, it's going to be around 18 to 20 million.
We have ZB on and he's saying, I think it's going to be closer to 25.
And I'm like, that's too rich.
And now you just kind of just close the briefcase on this.
And now you've talked me into it.
Here's what I think this is what's going to happen.
It's February 19th, 2.29 p.m.
I'm calling it. It'll be like a it'll be the type of thing where it's announced as a four-year deal,
let's say like 90 million, 85 million, right? Somewhere in that 22 to 25, maybe even 25 million annually,
something something in that vein. And the guarantee won't be like clear right away,
but it'll be a win for Jalen Phillips right off front. You know, he signs of, you know,
gets his money, signs with the Eagles, you know, wanted to stay. And then it'll come out like,
Okay, it's like maybe 50 guaranteed, you know, 35 for injury or something like that.
And then like a week later, it'll be like, oh, man, this is basically just a two-year contract.
That's my guess on how that plays out.
If he signs, if he resigns with the Eagles, because you're right, there's probably a way that they can massage that where he gets the number he wants.
But it's, you know, maybe there's an off ramp a year or two into the deal.
Was it James Bradbury that was like that?
Or was it, C.J. Gardner Johnson?
I think it was C.J. Gardner Johnson.
Johnson's deal was like, no, I think it was Bradbury.
Bradbury had like...
Well, because then they had to re-sign him after two years.
Yeah, I think he had a deal where it was like, it was a three-year deal.
There's somebody in the chat, will correct me if I'm wrong.
There was a defensive back recently that they signed a deal and like a week or two after the deal,
it's like, oh, this is basically like one fewer or two fewer years and we really expected.
Yeah, I'll try to think about it.
In the meantime, we're going to end a break.
Come back on the other side talking about Christian Parker's introductory.
Press conference. EJ is going to tell me all about it right here on the PHLY Eagles podcast.

Welcome back to the PHSOY Eagles podcast.
EJ, here's an offensive line question for everyone.
No, no, we're not going to pretend like that didn't just happen.
I could go my whole life without ever hearing you describe a runny egg ever again.
I would be very happy about that.
I need to not hear that ever again.
EJ, do you want people to sponsor this show?
Do you want to get paid?
No, it was a great ad to get money.
I don't think they don't, do they sell eggs?
They don't sell eggs, do they?
E.J.
Do you think I came up with that myself?
The runny egg?
Oh, I thought you did.
Come on, man.
We're trying to print money here.
I apologize.
I apologize.
I just, the runy egg.
I love a deep yellow runny yolk.
All right.
To each their own.
If you go to a diner and order a fried egg, how do you order it?
Over, I don't eat eggs anymore.
They hurt my stomach.
But.
Oh, bo, bo, bo.
Thanks a lot.
But before that, I would have liked an egg fried, like hard.
Like, I do not want any run on my eggs.
That's it.
That's all, you know.
To each their own, though.
If you like a runny egg, who might have stopped you?
I like, usually I'd go over medium.
I used to go, I used to be a big sunny side up guy, but like,
not, but you, but you want like a crisp bottom, you know.
Yeah, my dad orders them over medium hard, and I've never really understood what that means.
Just a little, just a little bit of run.
Yeah, I guess.
Lindsay backs me up.
She says that they don't sell eggs.
Everybody go to Omaha.
Yeah.
No, Omaha is great.
This is not Omaha.
this is you. Let's be clear.
I'm going to have to read all the ads from now on because you're going to alienate all of our sponsors.
No, I love our sponsors. I love our sponsors.
What is the lowest number where if I told you right now, you could sign up for the Eagles
offensive line will be the X best offensive line in football next season, where you would take it.
Man. Oh, where I would take it. Given the, given the voluntary.
because
the lane,
the land in the,
there's so many
question marks here.
Would you,
would,
if I offer you,
the Eagles next year
will be the ninth best
offensive line in football.
Would you take that?
What would you,
what would you have ranked them last year?
Can we define the floor from last year?
Yeah,
I mean,
I would be,
this is not an actual ranking
because I can't speak to the rest of the league,
but I would,
I would estimate they were probably like the 17th best.
Yeah.
Something like that.
Yeah, I think that's fine.
I think that's fair.
Where I would take it in terms of...
Where you would be like, okay, you know what?
That I got to lock it in because the downside is too low.
Okay.
Man, I'm probably going to be lower than you'd expect
because I do think the downside is there.
I probably take like 11th, 10th.
Yeah.
Right?
I think that's probably right.
Because there's like...
Because really the range is probably the best.
All of these players are extremely variable.
Yeah.
And you've got the new coach.
Like, I think you would have to take, I think you'd probably have to take.
And listen, they're one of the highest paid offensive lines in football.
But I think you'd probably take 10th.
Yeah, because to me it's like, they could be the best offensive line in the NFL.
They have the talent to do it.
We've seen them do it very recently.
I don't think they could get all the way down to like the 20th, but I think, no, the 20th is probably the floor.
I think even if they had significant injuries,
you're probably still going to put them like 20th, 19th, 18th,
relative to some of the other offensive lines.
I don't think that they'll ever be completely dysfunctional,
but I mentioned it earlier, the scheme that they run,
like what they do offensively,
and I don't know how much this is going to change with Sean Manion,
but historically what they've done offensively,
that really has even transcended coaches,
has been with an acknowledgement that they have
one of the best offensive lines in the league.
I mean, the team is built to be, you know, led by their offensive line.
So for that reason, yeah, I probably would take 10th.
I think I'd feel okay about the offense being competent with the 10th best
offensive line.
And then you hope that the defense continues to be like the thing that wins games,
the driving force.
Okay.
I think that's probably that right.
Tell me about this Christian Parker press conference.
Yeah, well, you know, the Dallas Cowboys unveiled their coordinator.
You know, I see all so.
Did it like, was it an unboxing?
Well, I mean, I listen, the Sean Mangan's still in the box.
So it's not something that you should take for granted.
I mean, I think what stood out to me is like something that a lot of Eagles fans will know is,
but it has been, you know, sort of reinforced by seeing the Dallas media have their first press conference with Christian Parker is just how impressive he was in that setting.
You know, he hit on a lot of different topics.
He made it like he spoke very like, like he had a lot of thoughts about like the vision he had for his defense and the influences that he will, you know, that stand out on that defense.
And he mentioned Vic Fangio as one of them.
You know, talked about how like the foundation of Vic Fangio system was a big influence on him and how Vic coaches his consistency and his approach.
You know, those are things he pointed to as things that he took from or he plans, he hopes to be able to be able to take.
take from Vic. But yeah, no, the thing that stood out to me is like the Dallas media, just talking
about Christian Parker, like, man, this guy, I think Clarence called him a neophyte. You know, it's just like
he kind of, it was pretty clear that he hit it out the park with this introductory press conference and
kind of showed what a lot of Eagles fans already knew, which is that he's been a fast riser because
he is very impressive. You know who else they call Christian Parker? The guy who drives the Pope Mobile.
That was pretty good.
No, it wasn't.
Is this vacation, Bell?
You feel like your wits are refreshed?
I do feel refreshed.
I'm glad.
I'm glad to hear it.
You look a little tanner.
I mean, it's on camera, but...
Yeah, yeah.
I got a little color.
You got some sun.
Yeah, first day.
Your shoulders, you really got it, you know?
It's okay.
It's okay.
I didn't reapply.
That was the problem.
He didn't do the reapply.
What's your SPF?
Which one are you going with?
Whatever's available.
I respect it.
I should have probably asked you at the top of the show.
Sorry, I got all excited with the news.
How was vacation?
How was your trip?
Did you have a nice time?
I'll give you a couple of nuggets at the end of the show.
Okay.
All right.
Fair enough.
Fair enough.
But let's stick on Christian Parker.
Yeah, I mean, listen, was he asked about?
Did he consider waiting around for?
I'm not sure he was asking about it.
I think that's an Eagles question, not a Dallas question.
So, you know, maybe we'll see him in Indianapolis.
Maybe we'll get to talk to him.
That would be nice.
Yeah.
Yes, we will be in Indianapolis.
for shows next week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
although the proceedings don't really begin until Tuesday.
So Tuesday, Wednesday, we'll have some real tangible Eagles news,
hopefully to sink our teeth into it.
I was going to say I love the combine, but I don't know if that,
I like the combine, I like the combine.
Do you love the combine?
How are you, where are you at on the combine?
I do not love the combine.
Do you like the combine?
Like me?
I tolerate the combine.
I think the combine is a, if you can,
if you can do it in 36 hours, you're doing it right.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
The thing about the combine, well, if you can do it for 72 hours, then good for you, man.
Like, you know, the thing about the combine to me is that it really is like spring break or
maybe senior week for the NFL.
Like, it is.
A bunch of people flashing each other?
No, not like that.
It's not how I view.
Oh, sorry.
Yeah, Fran's upset that we don't love the combine.
I mean, we don't look at the combine the same way that Fran does because we're not, we are
out there to interview prospects.
and, you know, we will be doing plenty of learning about the NFL draft.
But what's that?
Get some intel.
Yeah, we are there for like the networking and for obviously the reporting as well.
But there's a big networking aspect at the combine.
But to really like capitalize on it, you have to be willing to be out there at 2 a.m.
in like a loud bar trying to like have a 90 second conversation with somebody.
Yeah, that is the thing that I do not like about it.
And I actually think that that is overrated.
Like that, you don't need to be doing that stuff.
But I mean, I'll be doing it.
If we want to have a nice, if we want to have a, like a journalism conversation with aspiring reporters, we can do that.
But maybe with your class.
Oh, I like the sound of that.
But no, that's like, I respect the people who can go there for the whole week and can really, like, put in the hours necessary to hear a lot at the combine.
So, you know, for the, for our viewers, like, if you see.
You know what I think the combine is like on that front?
What is it?
It's like playing linebacker.
One of my favorite,
this is my favorite footballism.
It is my favorite footballism.
Okay.
See a lot,
see a little,
see a lot.
If you're trying to do everything,
you're going to get nothing.
Yeah.
Okay.
See a lot, see a little.
I think that that's good perspective on it,
but I mean,
there's different ways to do the job.
And I've always respected people
who get a lot out of the combine
because I know it,
requires like the thing that I the linebacker analogy I'd give you is you're running sideline to
sideline a lot just to make a tackle so yeah I respect those people okay all right let's go
to our last break we'll come back on the other side talk a little a little vacation whatever
other eagle stuff you want to sink your teeth into EJ wow two sink teeth into in the span of

Okay, we're back on the P.H.O.I. Eagles podcast.
E.J.
got some bad news.
I don't know.
What?
I did see you were a little distracted before the ad break.
Computer battery is dwindling.
Oh, no.
Dwindling.
Very rapidly, declining at a disappointing speed during the course of this episode.
I don't know if it's because of the lights, the different webcam, we're at 12%.
I mean, I don't know if I'm going to make it through this show.
You don't have access to a charger right there?
That I can't do, for whatever reason, my thing won't charge as a.
I'm plugged in for what I need from a light and webcam perspective.
I mean, you forego the light at that point, don't you?
I think that's what we might have to do.
I think I might have to go charger.
We're going to take a dip in quality.
Yeah, I think that's, we might have to do it.
Yeah, it's better than you just like, just catapulting yourself out of the show
and the final block of the show.
Problem is, it's going to take me about 45 seconds to go get that charger.
Oh, I can, I can vamp for 45 seconds.
All right, let's see it.
Let's set this bad boy up.
You ready?
Yeah, yeah.
I'm going to, I actually have something I want to get off my chest anyway.
So go ahead.
Good luck.
I love you.
All right, I love you too.
Oh, man, I'm going to the solo shot.
All right.
So one thing that I really wanted to talk to Bo about,
but I'll talk to you guys in the chat about it instead is, oh, man,
if Fran just showed up, what is going on here?
Oh, man.
What is this?
Am I getting ambushed right now, actually?
Hi, Fran.
Oh, no.
Hi, E.J.
What is going on?
What am I walking into here?
Listen, I know what happens sometimes with these.
That's why I wanted to help.
I wanted to jump in.
I was getting worked down on the draft guide,
and I thought, you know what,
if Beau's computer dies,
I want to come to your rescue.
No, I don't like this at all.
I really don't like this.
This is truly, I'm trying to be a good friend here.
I've done this for Bo in the past.
You're not.
When Zach would kick his cable out,
I would jump on and help both
so he wasn't stranded by himself.
No, no.
Something is up here.
What's going on?
I told E.J.
And E.J. is not buying it.
Do you remember the time when our former co-host
kicked his cable out and he had no service
and you were left solo and I jumped on?
Yes.
I thought the same was about to happen.
So I jumped on the leg to me.
It's great to see you.
Yeah.
I figured let me jump on to help E.J.
in case he gets stranded.
And he's expecting foul play here.
Unbelievable.
You spit in the guy's face.
He's doing something out of the goodness of his own heart.
Unbelievable.
I'm still terrified.
I'm hoping I want to believe you.
I really want to believe you because I've got something.
I had something to get off my chest here.
I had something I wanted to talk about.
But let's see if there's a ruse at play before I try and, you know, take over this whole segment.
All right, Fran, let's get to it.
Let's give them what you really came here for.
Let me tell you about this egg.
Good to see you.
E.J., we don't have anything.
No, literally I jumped on to help you, E.
Okay, well, then I do have a question for you.
If you guys, are we actually going to talk Eagles?
Fran, what number would you take on the offensive line question?
Yeah.
It was, where were they stack?
No, no, where would you?
What is the lowest number that you would sign up for,
given the very variance that you would just be like,
you know what, I'll take that for the Eagles offensive line this here?
The lowest number.
So the worst number, I would say, if I told you right now, the Eagles offensive line is going to be the 11th best in football next year.
Would you be like, you know what?
I'll take it.
Yeah, my gut went 12.
So if you said 11, yeah, I'll take 11.
Now, I think that they could certainly be better than that.
Of course, of course.
I do think the volatility is, that's a little scary.
No question.
All right.
I've got two questions for Fran.
The first one, I know you've been listening to the Jalen Phillips discourse.
course, where his market is. I know you think about a lot of, honestly, I think you have about
a strong handle on these things as anyone, at least where someone, like, you were the person,
if you told me that someone shouldn't have gotten that or should have gotten that during
free agency, I would actually trust you more than I would trust just about anybody else. So,
if you had to guess on where Phillips ends up in the market, and then what did you also, if he,
if the Eagles resigned him to like four years, let's say, $85 million, and the last two years
the dealer kind of fake? How are you feeling about that extension? I think Bo's read on it is right in
that I think the structure of the contract is important just given his injury history.
Goes without saying. Go ahead. Yeah, but I think that from a like APY standpoint, looking at some of the
kind of, I mean, Nick Benito's at 265 to me like getting past that would be probably rich given what
Benito has done from a production standpoint and being able to stay healthy. I think that like honestly,
like Montes sweat at 24-5 is a weird number. Just because
because, like, he is, to me, like, I, watching Montez Sweat for the last few years,
and even the deal that he got from Chicago, like, he got traded there from Washington.
So I watched basically all of Monted Sweat up to that point.
That was a very rich deal.
So I'm sure if I'm Jalen Phillips, I'm like, I got to get north of that number because I'm a better,
at my peak, I'm a better player than that.
So that does make it a little cloudy, like George Kolaftus kind of same deal.
He was at 22 a couple of years ago from Kansas City.
But personally, when I'm looking around, to me, like,
I think it's north of Chase Young.
I do think that Chase Young is a good proxy, is a good analogy,
just because of the injury history and the pedigree.
My guess is that he ends up north of 20,
but not up to the Nick Benito range that we saw from last fall.
Okay.
All right.
So maybe if the Eagles can figure out a way to, like, make this flexible for them,
I'm talking myself more into the potential of an extension than I would.
would have before. The other thing I wanted to talk to both you guys about, again, the natural
evolution of a conversation on the show. I know that the Jalen Carter trade scenario was in the
No Bad Idea show that Bo will not recall. But the more I think about it, that decision is
trickier than you think it's going to be. I think he's due more than 26 million on the fifth-year
option. And if you're, I mean, so I guess really the question is like, do you want to be? Do you
want to extend him this off season to try and get ahead of it. Do you want to, can you really afford
to take the brunt of the fifth year option if you're not going to extend him next to this time
next off season? And also, is there a chance that you're going to price yourself out or the
price is going to shoot up if Jalen Carter has a really productive 2026? It's really not a straightforward
decision on how you navigate these next 12 months or really the next 24 months or 18 months
with Jalen Carter here. I think that I am, I think,
I'm less inclined to just do the fifth year option.
To me, I think I would, I would, I would want to, it's hard because now is the tough time
to do it, but I would kind of want to make my bet in either direction.
I would want to say, okay, I think he's going to be a turn into the stud that we think he can.
Let's lock him in now. Let's get a relative discount.
You know, we're still going to pay him a lot of money, but let's do it now.
Or, you know what?
I'm not, I'm a little bit worried that the, all of the snaps that he's played,
are going to catch up to him a little bit.
I don't know that he's going to be a super duper, super duper star,
and if we can get two first round picks for him,
we should do that.
I would kind of like this to be the time you make that decision
as opposed to kicking the can down the road.
Yeah, I think that if you had to, you know, water gone to my baby toe,
I would say that, yeah, it's more likely that he's...
Do you call it a baby toe instead of a pinky toe?
I don't know why I said baby toe.
I don't think I've ever called a baby toe every in my life.
I mean, it's all right.
That's okay.
I wanted to know if that was a real thing.
Well, we'll call it the big toe.
I'm willing to sacrifice the theoretical big toe in this situation.
Watergun to my big toe, I think that it's more likely that he signs a hefty extension.
It's more likely that that's what happens.
I do think it's not zero.
And I do think that it's something that you at least discuss, given the talent they have in the room,
the other decisions they have to make,
all the other factors at play.
Yeah, I think you talk about it.
And that's what, I think it was,
I think it was the next show.
No, it wasn't the next show.
It was one of the shows I've done in the last few weeks.
We kind of referred back to that episode.
And it's like, do the Eagles have a meeting
where they have a no ideas meeting?
Like, no, they don't have a no bad ideas meeting, right?
Like they, but those conversations are had,
whether it's like in an official, like,
everybody at the table, everybody in the room,
let's talk through this.
or if it's just two people, three people, like carrying, you know, walking up to the hallway,
like, hey, let's talk through that or, you know, check these numbers against this tonight.
Let's talk about it again in the morning.
Like, you know, those conversations happen probably more often than people think.
Yeah, it just, I'm, when Beau brought up, like, the potential of trading him, I was like,
that's ridiculous.
Why would you trade someone like Jalen Carter?
But the more I think about it, like a week removed, it's like, it's a realistic off-ramp into what
is going to become a difficult bet to make.
You know, it's crazy to say that about a player like Jalen Carter, but there's enough of,
there's enough of an unknown there.
But to your other point earlier about the like one last ride of it all.
Yeah.
The move that would track with that is just kicking the can down the road, is just picking up
the fifth or option and then, you know, retaining some optionality for next offseason.
Yeah, that's fair.
But I guess it's also like you can sign them to the extension and still trade them.
You know, it's going to be prohibitive for a year or two,
but that's still on the table for you.
Super chat from Joe Rockhead.
Fran, you're going to stick with us for a little bit?
I can stick with it.
Yeah, I've got to pick Francis up in like 25 minutes.
I'm good.
Okay.
Since Fran is there,
Mahomes redid his contract.
Can A.J. and J.lyn Hertz redo theirs,
and would they,
Mahomes freed up a ton of money?
I think with a lot of the extensions that the Eagles do,
and I don't know,
I'm not as well versed in this,
but you have somewhat of an understanding
of the way that they try and do it
is that you sign a lot of these extensions
knowing like yeah, by the time we get to this point
you have to redo this deal.
Like they would do it with Jason Kelsey or it's like,
yeah, he's not playing on that number
by the time we get to three years from now, right?
So yeah, I think when the time comes,
whether that's this year or, you know, whenever,
Jalen Hurts, they will readdress that number.
With AJ Brown, the motivation behind
trying to redo contract might be a little bit different
and not necessarily about trying to free up money for, you know, for more cap room,
but for making it like an easier trade or contract of trade.
But yeah, I do think that you have those conversations.
And when you sign those deals, you haven't understand.
Like when they signed it with Mahomes, it was under the understanding.
Yeah, like, we're going to redo this in a couple of years.
Yeah.
I know that the Eagles have been using more like of the option bonus stuff to kind of play,
play some of those games.
I mean, I could see Jalen Hertz signing a restructured deal, especially if it does come
with like the freeing up money in the short term but I don't know the particulars on what
his deal looks like and I believe it's it's set up so that next year would be when they would
do that okay so there you go uh all right you want to give you a couple my a couple of my uh
vacation I can't believe we made it's far in the show without hearing about vacation you know
what I didn't have a ton I didn't have a ton I wrote four things down um I'll give you the least
interesting one first since
friends here, which is just that
in terms of like low
stakes,
things that don't really matter
but will really frustrate you,
I feel like maybe
one of the worst
things of fatherhood
probably in my Mount Rushmore
is installing
a car seat on a rental car.
Oh man. That sounds tough.
Now, what if you had to do three?
Oh.
You want to talk about a pit for 45 minutes.
Oh, man.
When you're also in jeans in the nice place
because you had to be in appropriate weather for the flight,
but then you're sweating.
And then these bad car seats, oh, God.
I was down bad for a good hour.
Well, it was a three-row situation.
So two on the side, one in the back.
Got it.
So to get the one in the, to install the car seat in the back of the car there,
like you're like, what, on your hands and knees in the car?
Like, try and you're all twisted around.
It's a whole.
Sounds awful.
EJ.
EJ.
Solution would just be to get one big strap and just tie loosely around all three people.
Yeah, that'll work out.
To call Fran and be like, hey, can you get some bungee's for my kids?
It'll work out, yeah.
Here's an interesting one.
One of the very fun things we did was,
so we were in St. Thomas.
We were in the Virgin Islands, right?
And one day with all the causes,
this was like Rachel's extended family,
we took a boat out.
We didn't take about it.
Someone took us out in a boat,
and we were driving around to different places
to go to a beach or snorkel,
and we pull up to this one place,
and she's telling us,
this all about it. She's like, oh, this is one of my favorite places to snorkel. It's beautiful.
And she goes, and you can tell, how close are we?
Getting there. Okay, I guess we've got a couple minutes. And this is a very interesting indication
of there are six adults, six kids, among the adults, who is really, really online.
because what she says is
this island in Bovertime
this is
this is Little St. James
and me and one other person
like
what?
What?
So yes
we did a little snorkeling off
Epstein Island
I mean
I'm glad we got this in Boevertime
Yeah, just under the gun.
Like, I'm sorry, what did you say?
And so, yeah, I think I might be in the files now.
No, no, no, don't joke about that.
But, I mean, listen, in a beautiful place,
you could see what the president would be interested in.
What was the, what was the, you have a highlight from snorkeling?
That's a cool eel.
Oh.
Cool black and white eel.
But I like just, you know, just, it's very meditative.
Just really, you know, just stay and look for a while for a while.
I could not disagree more.
Snorkeling terrifies me.
Really?
One time I went snorkeling, I almost touched.
What's the thing you're not supposed to touch?
Coral.
Yeah.
I didn't like almost touch it, but like I got closer than I probably should have to it.
Yeah.
I don't do water things if I can have with them.
I've got so I'll tell the story.
Let's hear it.
So my honeymoon, we went down to St. Lucia and they had like a private beach for the resort.
It was awesome, like really nice.
And they had all the different water sports you can do like on the beach there.
And so we were going to do kayaking.
And we're like, oh, I like kayaking.
So we'll go out past the surf.
So we'll go out past the surf.
It'll be fun.
So the guy's like, look, because it's like jagged rocks here, jagged rocks there,
like just go straight until you get past the surf and then you're good.
So we're go, we went, we didn't go tandem because Meg and I have gone tandem
kayaking before and like it just turns into a big argument.
So I'm like, I've got my boat, you've got your boat, let's just go straight.
Meg is going and she immediately makes a beeline right for the most jagged rocks on the island.
Okay.
So I jump out of my kayak.
I get over to her and I'm like steering her forward.
Problem is, is that we are newlyweds.
I am not someone who has ever worn jewelry.
and this is a good thing that E.J. doesn't have to worry about,
but my new wedding ring slid right off my finger.
That happened to my dad when I was growing up.
Really?
He lost his wedding ring scuba diving.
It was the worst feeling.
Like, I literally like pit my stomach now, like thinking about that feeling.
And I could just feel it, slide right off.
I've never gone snorkeling before my life.
I like went back to the end.
For hours, snorkeled looking for this ring.
Really?
I'll show up.
Like, I'll find it.
obviously did not, but that was my first snorkeling experience.
I do lots of cool fish in the meantime.
Yeah.
I do love kayaking it.
So I guess I do some water things.
But if it's like risky water things, like I wouldn't go like white water rafting or anything
like that.
And a quick point to your point about no tandem kayaks, Fran, my wife and I were going
to buy one of those before we got married even.
When we were engaged, we were going to buy a tandem kayak because we love kayaking so much.
And someone was like, don't buy one of those.
You know what we call those?
And I was like, what did they say?
divorce boats.
So we got two solos.
Okay, I like that.
Yeah.
What would you do if, what would your initial thought be if when you're playing lands,
this is a, this goes to France message from the captain.
Plain lands and the message from the captain is, thanks everybody.
Hang tight a little bit.
We have to wait for law enforcement to come on board.
Oh, no.
Yeah, I don't need to know that.
What's your thought?
What do you think happened?
My first thought was somebody smoked on the plane, like twice.
Well, that's a good read, E.J.
What's interesting is that I had the tea before it happened because Rachel had been walking Leah to try to get her to fall asleep.
And she witnessed the whole thing.
smoke alarm goes off
and and
you know they
they confront the guy
he's like I don't know
I don't know what you're talking about
you know he tries to try to try to downplay it
that happened to me one time
and they did the same thing
they acted like they didn't do it
it's like listen that's tough
I don't know what you're
he's like I don't have any cigarettes on me
like okay like obviously
something was going on in here
but you want to talk about
a walk of shame
yeah like that guy then has to
because he was in the back of the plane too
So he has to then walk past everybody.
Everybody's just looking at him like this guy had to get pulled off.
That's tough.
Now, do you think he did it twice?
Because this happened to me on a flight reason.
I think he did it once, but then he denied it.
And I think that maybe led to.
Yeah.
Apparently, the captain in particular is very, you know, he doesn't take any leeway on these things.
Yeah.
I mean, he's flying over an ocean, you know.
Yeah, seriously.
come on it's like a $10,000 fine yeah
really oh god
oh jeez
that's an expensive
like just just wait man like I know
but like just wait
oh
to play dumb is really tough
to be like I don't even know what you're talking about
yeah I don't know I feel like if I feel like you could I mean listen
everybody knows you can't smoke on a plane
but yeah
I can you know like if you're just like oh my God I'm so sorry
You know, I mean, maybe, I don't know.
Who knows?
Yeah.
Jeez.
Last thing is, this is not even a very good one, but it's just a good, it's good to have a nice vacation enemy.
It's like in any, it's always good to have like a nice low stakes enemy.
The enemies that we developed were in the pool.
Some of the cousins were playing.
They had like a little volleyball, you know, just beach, pool volleyball with a little blowup thing.
and this older couple, like, I don't know, I'm going to say like 6570, the ball, the ball gets hit.
Like, they're a little bit beyond the, you know, the quote unquote court.
And it like goes near them.
And this woman, one of the most unhinged reactions I've ever seen, she's like, oh, I cannot get hit with another ball.
and then her husband comes over with the ball.
I'm not playing.
Like, I'm witnessing this.
The kids are the only ones in the pool.
He goes, we're talking to 12 and 10 year old.
And he goes over to them.
He's like, was that intentional?
Was that intentional?
And I'm like, no.
He's like, and then he throws the ball away.
He's like, it's like really talking nasty to a 10 year old and a 12 year old.
I'm like, I'm like, hold on.
What's going on here?
Calm down.
And then, you know, we get to make, we get to make.
make nasty eye contact for the next hour and a half, which is fun.
You handled that better than me, because that guy would have ended up in the pool, I think.
Well, it's so funny.
He's like, he's like, waiting over.
And he's like, I mean, like, what is going on here?
So, yeah, you want to just some, some bozos.
It was about to say, like, what are you doing near the kids volleyball pool anyway?
Yeah, it's like, right.
How can you not be happy at a place like that?
It's like, I don't know, relax a little bit.
Yeah, I called you when you were on vacation, and you sounded easy,
breezy, man.
You were just...
I am.
I'm still easy breezy.
That's how it's supposed to be.
Well, sticks.
Yeah.
It's one where you're like, yeah, you're kind of hoping he's going to say something else
because then you can really get into it.
But I would have never confronted that man.
I mean, you guys know that.
I would have been terrified.
Well, like, say, if you really want to, if you really want to make a big deal out of it,
ask for the parents.
Don't be, don't be going to.
the 12 year old.
Give me out of town.
Anyway,
Wayne Johnson,
back for year 14.
All right.
Thanks,
everybody.
Thank you to Fran.
I apologize for not like appreciating that in the moment, Fran.
I was certain there was going to be,
I was certain there was going to be like a trial 2.0.
I said something on the pod with ZB and you guys took Umbridge or like I remember when
you guys came in for the first trial that I had to go.
into for the show.
Like I was trying to talk and I think
Bo was just like,
don't talk.
So I was waiting for that.
But thank you for hopping on, Frank.
I appreciate it.
I mean, I'll remember that the next time
that situation arises,
I'll be like, oh, well, EJ's not going to appreciate it anyway.
So I'll just sit here and watch him flail.
You know I'm going to be thinking about this all weekend now.
I wasn't appreciative enough of Fran hopping on.
He was just trying to help.
Tomorrow, I will be joined by the professor.
Dan is. We'll be back for a little, I'm sure, wide-ranging conversation about what's going on with the Eagles.
There's a chance that show maybe moved showtime-wise. We'll let you know. Hopefully not.
Otherwise, we'll talk to you then. And then next week, we'll be boots on the ground at the Combine in Indianapolis watching Fran, watch people. Very exciting. For all of us here.
Thank you for watching. Thank you for listening. Good to be back. Good to see you guys.
And as always, we love.
Love you.
