Marcus Epps also spotted at practice. The Eagles have filled out their practice squad. So Epps's practice squad, not active roster. Usually when it's vague like that, it means that the guys on the practice squad. And then, yeah, Britt and Covey taking that punt returner roll. Yeah, usually when it's somebody who's obviously giving favors to an agent, that's what it is. That's what he's been doing all the last week, but that's okay. Let's not worry about the specifics on which team he's on.

he's on the Eagles. That's all that matters. Okay. But Fran, I want to say congratulations. You know, there are two people at this table who have recently won a competition. How does it feel? You haven't won? I'm, I, what do you mean I haven't won? What do you mean, you won? I am a co-monarch of the beat. So you didn't win. I am technically still king of the beat. You tied. He is technically still the king of the beat. I'm still the king of the beat.

You tied. There just happens to be a queen now. What do you mean you won? You have to play until the end. There has to. to be won. No, games can end. As far as I'm concerned, a tie means there's no winner.

Oh, here we go. This is, here we go. You know what? And he hasn't won anything yet. He's just now in a very commanding position. That will be very difficult for me to overtake.

These reframings aren't going to, aren't going to take the sick goes no. It's nice. It's nice thing you're doing this on a day when we're about to do something that I am the defending champion of. Okay. A third person won this one last year. No.

Listen, man. I mean, I'm very excited for the Willie Lincoln here. So was Willie Lincoln at practice? That means he's healthy? Uh, he was not practicing. to sing. He was at practice in street clothes. He's wearing a jersey, but that's it. We have another early super chat from Cliffy Dos Medias says,

keep seeing all this doomer energy on CB2, but what can be done to help them out? Won't Fangio scheme protections? Also, do you guys offer 401K matching? I'll let you take the first one. Yeah, I mean, look, they are going to do things to protect whoever that second corner is. Now, last year, that's what makes it so interesting to follow because last year they did not play favorites to one side or the other between Darius Slay and between Quinyon Mitchell.

They were able to kind of be interchangeable and better disguise what they are doing from a coverage standpoint because they didn't play favorites in that way. Now I would imagine, yes, they are going to roll coverage to the opposite side of Quignan Mitchell on a more consistent basis. What does that mean? Does that mean they're going to change some of the coverage calls? I mean they are going to be more predictable. our offense is going to try and take advantage of that. That is something certainly I'll be following here over the first month. The second part.

The second part of pressure to answer is no. But listen, if this, I don't think this is actually Cliff, but if it was Cliff, we'll take care of you, Cliff. We will make it work for you. Yeah. I mean, if the ball isn't your court, you've got all the leverage. I don't think this is Cliff. My internal monologue is like, this could be Cliff. And it's like, Cliff wouldn't pay $5 for the show.

Like, I know Cliff. And I'm just saying like Cliff doesn't spend money unnecessarily. I don't think that's a good point. Also, I don't feel like Cliff would hide behind a pseudonym. Oh, yeah, I guess so. Yeah. We might have done like some, you know, more like a show specific drafts. But even one of the real tent post. This was the first one. You did a good job. but unfortunately couldn't come with the king. You and you and somebody there tied.

I finished first, which is what matter. Oh, no, I think I got that. No, I didn't get the Houston one because they ended up just resting everybody. Anyway, neither here nor there. As champion, I get to decide which draft order I want. And I think I'm going to go second. And so you finished second friend.

You get to decide, do you want to pick first or do you want to pick third? I am going to pick I'm going to pick third now I'm going to call foul here because last year you let Fran decide what he wanted to do so he watched last year's

Now, for the uninitiated, we have here 31 of the win totals as they are on Bet365. Everybody here is going to draft 10 of them. Whichever team does not get drafted becomes Julius. and Julia gets to pick over under. But we also get two challenge flags. And this is when... We get two challenge flags. When you disagree with the over or under

that someone else has drafted, you can throw your challenge flag and take the other side on that one, and you get two of those. And you are allowed to throw the challenge flag on the same as someone else. So if EJ drafts the Cowboys over, you and I both think it's the under,

we are allowed to both throw it. Both can flag it. Got it. Everybody cool on the rules. I'm good on the rules. I am as a very competitive person who is also bad at these types of games. This is going to be an interesting ride for me

because I want to win more than anything, but I'm not feeling great about my chance. Well, I didn't tell you, I had my whole thing set up here, and I was expecting to have like 20 minutes to be able to really set my board, and we were just, I mean, we were racing down the highway to get to Novacare and back. Bo beat these things going on.

Both ways. So impressive driving bike. If you didn't have to put the GPS, maybe you would have. I actually was like, I was, I had a security and knowing I could follow him. So if I messed up, I would just do what he did. Do you feel like you see a little bit of an afterglow on, on Fran? Oh my God. Willie Napkin stuff.

He's looking. Oh, I thought you're talking about the tan. No, I think he's still like, yeah. Look at that. It's impressive. All right, E.J., you get to go first. All right. I got to change this, this ordering here.

Go ahead. In the spirit. of the seat that I'm sitting in and the history of this game, I'm taking the over for the Kansas City Chiefs. Do I feel amazing about it? I mean, not particularly. Now it is 11.5.

11 and a half wins for the Kansas City. 11 and a half wins. You don't bet against Patrick Mahomes. You feel okay about the fact that they've got a reworked offensive line. I generally think that this is usually a good bet, and for that reason, again, in the spirit of who I am,

the seat I'm sitting in, I'm going to go with the Chiefs. 11 and a half. 11 and a half is a lot. A lot. I mean, I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about it as well.

They went 11 and 0 in one score games last year. Unsustainable. Yeah, it doesn't make me feel great about it. You lose Rishi Rice for six games? Thank God. Yeah, Fran. Travis Kelsey.

Look, I would be lying if I said that I wasn't preparing for this when like schedule release happened. So I've been taking notes for months here for this game. They've got a rookie left tackle. Marathon schedule. Five of their first eight games on prime time, not counting Thanksgiving,

not counting Christmas. That's tough. It is a long schedule and it's an unsustainable success there from an 11 and O standpoint, those one score games. Yeah. My defense is that Andy Reed has had 11 or more wins in each of the last,

I mean, really since 2018. So I think we've seen the floor of what the chiefs can look like, honestly last season. And that's my bet here. the chiefs are going to go over. I think if push came to shove, I would have taken the under,

but I don't, I don't want a challenge. I'm not ready to throw the challenge flag here. Okay, fair. I feel. I was lean, I had a slight lean to the over, didn't feel great about it.

I would not have taken them at any point anytime soon because I didn't feel great about that. I did it for the spirit of it though. It wasn't, yeah, I have got stronger opinions on some teams, but I want to keep the game, the continuity of the game.

I'm glad you do that because I was, you and I know that we agree about something. And I was, I was very worried when you took the first, overall pick that you were going to cuck me here. Yeah, now you're going to do it to me. The thing that I feel the strongest about about the whole season right now. And listen, I love the quarterback.

He's great. It's mine too. And the Vegas odds are leaning towards the over here. But at nine and a half wins, they try to come to the hard rock. We took it back, demonstrably. they are so old and they were so healthy last year. They were so good in one score games. They had all that fourth down luck.

Their schedule is going to be much more difficult this year. I am taking the under on the Washington commanders at nine and a half. And I feel very good about it. It's going to be my first pick. Yeah? Yeah, you got me. Can I play devil's advocate? Jayden Davis.

Jaydenales is awesome. And he could absolutely be all that it needs for them to win 11, 12 games. And I feel like at that night, and a half number, some of that, some of the factors that you were accounting for are already baked into that number. No doubt about it. I think that the argument in faith, listen, I would have taken the under on the commanders as well,

but I feel like the argument that the commanders will be better than that is one that revolves around Jaden Daniels being the mouthwash, right? Being the player that overcomes the regression, the one score games, the older roster. If he is as good as we think he can be,

there is a valid argument for them being able to overachieve relative to that number. So why I felt so strongly, they already been my number one pick. So last year they had 12 wins, okay, with the last place schedule,

they had exactly one win versus a playoff team. That was that Eagles game where Jalen Hertz got hurt and was hurt for three quarters. Going into that game, they were the only team in the NFL to have a winning record

without beating another team with a winning record. And that was in November. Jaden Daniels led four fourth quarter comebacks through an NFL record five touchdown passes in the final 30 seconds of the game. You had the helmet

very win against the Bears. He had the touchdowns versus the Eagles game that we talked about earlier. He needed two fourth quarter touchdowns to beat the Giants in week two. The Giants didn't have their kicker. Had to go for two, three times and failed all three times in order for Washington get that win. They beat the Saints in week 15 with a failed two point conversion

at the end of regulation from New Orleans. This is from Jimmy Kemski in the dumpster firepiece. Atlanta missed a field goal with a backup kicker at the end of regulation in that game. Washington goes on to win in overtime. Bo already referenced 87% best fourth down team by EPA this century. That's from Anthony Dubundo over at the ringer.

Kemsky in the piece that came up this week. Tony Bunn's coming through. Jimmy Kempski this week and is when the age, the age piece after the final 53 man cut down. The oldest in the NFL by a wide margin in 2025. Average age of 28.09. That's the oldest since he started charting

this exercise back in 2012. The previous two oldest were the 23 Saints and the 18 Raiders. The records were 9 and 8 and 4 and 12, so wouldn't have hit this 9 and a half win total. They've got a ton of prime time. games. This is from Connor Orr, right after the season got, the schedule got released. None of the three teams with the most primetime games last year made the playoffs. One of them

led the league and adjusted games lost due to injury. Washington's interesting. Talking about their eight, you know, this is an extremely old, old team. You got to worry about what that age could, that, you know, what that could look like here. They play four teams versus teams coming off a buy this year. That's the most in the NFL. They have the worst, third worst rest edge in the NFL, according to Warren Sharp. Terry McClaren, late arrival. Noah Brown's already missing time. They had great injury luck a year ago. They were extremely healthy.

They lose Sam Cosby in the final game of the year. Sam Cosby, they're not going to be out there for the first part of this season. Cliff Kingsbury goes in the tank in the second half of seasons. His team's not sneaking up by anybody. Very easy. Should have been the first pick. Wow. This isn't even his pick.

I feel like we both got just clear out. We'll just name our, we're going to say our picks and then let Fran go through his spreadsheet. No, nothing is as long as that one. Yeah, but that's the longest one. I think that ends the show right there. Fantastic. Let's yeah, let's clip that.

We know how to clip that one. Flip that and send it to WSDC. All right. I got to follow up. I got to make my pick. All right. I'm going to go with my first one. See,

what's tough is that you guys made fun of me for going like basically all overs last year. I really wanted to hit that because that was an under. So now I'm going to have to take two overs. Yeah. Yeah. It's okay.

I'm a natural hitter. most of my top picks are under. I'm an opposite. So a lot of mine are ovaries. I'm going to go with one over and one under. My first over is going to be Green Bay Packers, nine and a half. I think when you look at the Green Bay Packers,

they went 11 and 6 last year. Obviously, that's two games better than this. They were five and three and one score games. They just had a lot go wrong last year. This is nine and a half. They were able to, they still hit the over. So, yeah, Jordan Love getting hurt.

You had all these drops from wide receivers, new defensive scheme. You had injuries in the offensive line. Yes, they did not beat great teams. They played all of them very, very close. It's unlikely that they were to go over again here this year against the best teams in the schedule. I do think the Detroit Lions, you know, potentially down.

Minnesota, J.J. McCarthy, you know, a new starting quarterback there. They do have the seventh hardest strength of schedule, according to our friend, Professor Danaes Selman, going off of his strength of schedule graphic. Again, have a tough schedule. You got the Eagles, you got the AFC North, you got the NFC North. But a lot of those games are at home. I just have general belief in that coaching staff. That's something we talked about when we did the 32 team draft back in the spring.

Green Bay Packers, over nine and a half. It's a good follow up to Jordan Love, I believe, winning the Franz Dovebird of the year. Yes, of course. From the Ospreys, we get poked fun at for this, but I also like the Packers. Yeah, they were going to be my actual first pick. Oh, really? Yeah, I. We're all sort of in concert here.

Yeah. Yeah, I like the Packers a lot. And I, if I had to probably pick a team, you're telling me that that that's going to be the best team in the NFC that's not the Eagles, I think I probably would pick the Packers. Yeah, I feel good about that one. Let's go to my second one. I'm going to go with an under.

And I'm going to go with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a day and a half. Aaron Rogers, we know, look, he's our friend, Shield Capadia. I'll speak for myself on that one. Our friend, Shield Capadia. Well, when he's on the daily show, It's great that you had you on.

Great friend of all of all of all. That's a great course. Yeah. Only quarterback, our only one quarterback has started at least 10 games in his age 42 season. That's from, uh, Shiel and that was Tom Brady. So expecting that from Aaron Rogers, you're going to have a little bit of a reach there. According to Jimmy Kemsky, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the second oldest team in the NFL behind Washington. They'd be number one in any normal year.

We know Washington again, exorbitantly old. Underlying stats, when you look at this team from a year ago, don't point to a team that should have won 10 games. Like, to me, I think when you look at the way that they won a lot of those games, you know, they were able to just kind of squeak it out at the end, which is a hallmark of Mike Tom. One of the reasons why he consistently is able to have a non-losing record. They do have the 10th hardest strength of schedule, according to Dane is. They've got an early by week.

And then week seven on for an old team. They've got the hardest schedule in the NFL, the second worst advantage in the NFL, according to Warren Shar. You've got Bill's Ravens lines back to back, all coming off rest advantages, you know, in that stretch in the second half of the year. You've got Cincinnati on a short week. Pittsburgh 8.5. Give me the under there. The man is cooking.

Oh, my goodness. The amount of research you did for these. Listen, when you guys are in studio five days, I'm home three. Three days. I got to be doing something. I am impressed because I, the Steelers were one of my favorite picks.

I feel like all for as much as fact-based as fan, as Fran is going to be with these, I'm mostly vibes based on here. That's okay. Absolutely. The Steelers vibes are not good this year. All right. It's not your picture.

it's mine. I'm so disappointed. I feel like this one is a little bit chalk and I'm surprised it's as high as it is. Six and a half wins. Yeah. For a team that's starting Spencer Rattler and that at some point

he's going to turn the page to Tyler Shuck, a team that was very bad last year. I mean, I'm pounding the Saints under at six and a half. And they also, I mean, they have an easy schedule. Like, I believe the 3rd. third easiest schedule in football, according to Danes. So that's where this could come back to bite me.

They play in a very easy division. But I just, I find it very hard to see that team winning seven games. They were one of the most injured teams in the NFL last year. You talked about the easy strength of schedule. They do have the second worst rest advantage, rest advantage basically meaning like, you know, if the Eagles coming off. The other teams coming off extra rest. So you add that up over the course of the season.

and Warren shop tabulates that every spring you know so they had the second worst so I I would have gone under with the Saints as well over to you each after you make your first pick and then I was gonna say yeah um I'm gonna go I'm trying to see now I'm not trying to play the game I'm trying to play the men here make sure I don't you're already you're already twisted in the wind here I am if I'm gonna go with the Ravens over 11 and a half okay again you you don't feel good about this one? Oh, my first fly. Really?

Oh, no. This is Vives versus FACs right here. It's not going to be good. I feel like, listen, they have been one of the most, one of the better teams in the NFL for the last few seasons. And I don't think that there's a lot of reason to bet against them this year. Fran is going to give me some reasons in a minute here.

But now I feel good about them. They've been like fringe Super Bowl picks for me the last few years. and I feel like I might have them in it this year. The postseason is a difference discussion, though. I do think that they should be very good again this year. Yeah, to me, I don't want to pick against John Harbaugh. I don't want to pick against Lamar Jackson. I think that defense is going to be good again.

So I think from a vibe standpoint, I do think that that makes sense. Looking at some of the trends and some of the numbers, there are things that scared me about it, enough where I went under and I actually put them in like my second tier of like, I think I'm going to go under. So here are some of the things. that popped up for me.

Ninth hardest strength of schedule, according to Dana is. This is a great nugget from Connor O'er over at Sports Illustrated. Every single game from November 16th, which we're talking like the last third of the season, is played outside in cold weather. Every single game from the middle of November on.

And he talked about like injury risk numbers and how they escalate when you get into the later months on the outside. And this is a team that is old. You know, you have Derek Henry, you got Lamar Jackson, got Ronnie Stanley, you know, Mark Andrews. A lot of the key piece in the things.

offense are on the older side or have had injury risk in the past. And this was a team that had great injury luck a year ago. They had by far the fewest in terms of like adjusted games loss due to injury from a year ago. They won 12 games last year, which is only, you know, that's just, would have just cleared it. They had the 11 and a half mark for this fall. They went 12 and 5.

They were 5 and 5 in 1 score games, which is fine. It's right down the middle. But two of those 12 wins came in nail biters to Cincinnati's. And it's good classic wins. I expect Cincinnati to be a little bit better this year. Are they able to match last year's output with a harder schedule? That's why I leaned under. Pittsburgh should be worse.

Yes. And, you know, listen, I can hear a storyline developing at the end of the season. All those cold weather games got us ready for the postseason. You know, we got through that and showed that we could make a Super Bowl run here. Let them get the golf clubs out of it. I think I am going to, I'm mostly going to be betting on good coaches and good quarterbacks. Maybe that's a good way to introduce myself to this game. So I feel okay about this.

But now, and again, the other thing is I want to pay. pick teams that like I actually believe in so that like if it goes wrong at least I went with my gut here I think that's a good good way to look like France's going to be rooting against the Ravens all season now yeah speak for yourself all right we will hear what your next pick is EJ after this break so the other day I'm over at Fran's house and you know he's he's ready to watch football he's ready to do some guys but his setup total mess lagging buffering and switching between apps trying to find the game. All right. Over to you, E.J. That person needs to get a life. That's the answer. Yes. All right. So with this one, I'm betting on a coach,

maybe a quarterback. I'm going with the Atlanta Falcons over. Mm. Seven and a half as the line for the Falcons. Yes. That's a good one. Yeah. I,

generally, I feel like, I have an appreciation for what the Falcons have built offensively. Drake London is like very randomly, like one of my favorite players in the league. according to Dana's. Yeah. So number two, healthiest team in the NFL last year. So there could be some regression coming their way from that standpoint. But I agree that again, they won eight games last year. I don't think that they're a worst team. So I'm with you on that one.

They were the third healthiest team in the NFL last year. So there could be regression coming their way, especially considering the fact that they spent

big money on guys that are either coming off injury or that are older players along the defensive line and the offensive line. Justin Jefferson's already hurt. Jordan Addison's already suspended. That said, they won 14 games last year. I just don't know that J.J. McCarthy is five games worse than Sam Darnold. You get Christian Darshaw back. I'm just betting on Kevin O'Connell. I don't need them to win 14 games this year. I don't even win 12. I just need them to win 9 or 10. And I think they'll do that with this group. So I feel good about the Vikings there. Yeah. I mean, it feels like a pretty good. It is a harsh line that is telling you that they just,

Vegas does not believe in J.J. McCarthy. Yeah. And it's a big wild card. It's a big unknown. I got it. Yep. But I think you explained it well. All right.

I like Andrew Berry. I think that's, I think they have good leadership there. We saw what Miles Garrett and that defense could be. Yeah. They've got the sixth hardest schedule, strength of schedule, according to De Danes. The early slate, like that first half of that schedule is rough. So we're talking like one in six, like type of start. And if that's the case, I feel like they get into.

two. All right, let's see the young guys early. And if that's like it could really snowball. It was really hard to kind of pick out. Could this team reach six or seven wins? The number five worst rest edge in the NFL, according to Warren Sharp as well. So hard strength of schedule and the schedule makers did them no favors. With that quarterback situation, I didn't feel great about it. I'm betting on the head coach with this one. I'm, I feel okay about it. I was thinking about it. I was thinking about throwing the flag too. And I'll tell you why. I think that defense could be really, really good. Defense could be very good.

They were awesome two years ago. Yes. They had a little bit of expected regression last year. They've still got like the same good players. We've seen Jim Schwartz do it. They came here and they looked really good. I mean, you know, it was against some injured guys. But I can't do it.

I can't. I feel like I would have taken the over. I feel like the Joe Flacco. Now, if they change quarterbacks midseason, I feel a little bit worse about this thing. If you told me that, like, they had, like, a floor at quarterback that is least respectable given last year. I think, I think they could be three wins better than they were last year. How old is Joe Flacco?

So, he's 40 years old. So this goes back to the shield stat of, like, uh, four-year-old quarterbacks that can play at least 10 games. We're going to see Dylan Gabriel slash Shador Sanders. Maybe. Maybe I also like, I also, like, at the end of the last. It's not just the quarterback. Like, they get nobody else on offense. Yeah.

I know Jerry Judy had this, like, you know, uh, sort of Patty. kick volume season last year. They're going to break out some trick plays. They're going to break out some trick plays in the red zone and joint practice. We're not asking. We're not at that door. I'm not predicting them to make the playoffs, but Michael does not walking through that door. That's what they're missing.

Okay, they had a good bounce back. They had two good years with Canales and Liam Cohen. We're just assuming that Baker Mayfield is an elite quarterback now. They've got Tristan Worf's battling injury. Their defense is old.

I just, I mean, this team feels like they're not who everybody thinks they are. That's, I'm going under on the bucks. Yeah, I agree with you. I thought you were going to go with another team that was a nine and a half. Okay. And I was getting ready to throw a flag. Okay. I agree.

And this is honestly, this is like all vibes based because a lot of the numbers would point to them being able to sustain this success. Their schedule is pretty easy. Yes. The only thing that is sticking in my mind where I'm like, oh, like maybe there's something here. They were like crazy efficient on third down last year. And it was like that Eagles 2017 season where even on third long, you know, better than half the team on all third downs. And that's going to regress. The guy that was in charge of third downs last year of that third down offense,

was Josh Garzarder now got promoted to the office coordinator. So, and they kept him from leaving with Liam Cohen. They kept a number, a lot of that staff from leaving. So maybe. That's another thing. The way that they threw a fit about Liam Cohen not texting them that he was still in Jacksonville, not too unsurious. Too unsurious. See, I'm a little surprised by that because I feel like you're a little bit in the bag for Jason Light.

I do have faith in Bo Nix to keep that shit. I don't think he's a top five, top six, top seven type of quarterback. But I do think he's a good NFL starter. Good coach. I do have a belief in Sean Payton. I think that defense is going to be good once again here this year.

Purely off vibes. Like I just feel like this is going to be a good team. So to me, like they're predicting it's a nine and a half number. They went 10 and 7 a year ago. Give me the over there on the Broncos. I expect regression on defense. Yeah. I think they'll go from being one of the two or three best defenses in football to, you know,

bottom half of the top 10. And I just, I'm not a bonnix believer. Hmm. And I think they're playing over their skis a little bit. You did the research, but I've got to get to go against the NVR. That's fine. Okay. All right.

They go three and seven in one score games, but this defense, was horrific last year. 31 teams in the NFL, aside from Cincinnati, when they scored at least 33 points, they went 52 and 1. Those 33, the other 31 teams. The Cincinnati Bengals went 2 and 4

when they scored 33 points last year. They still won nine games, despite the fact the defense was that bad. I'm counting on my former boss. This is now golden. Turn that defense around. You're going to take it from one of the worst defense in the league. Even if you just make a league average,

I just say they're going to get to 11. and I think that offense could be humming on all cylinders. Everybody's happy there. In terms of Joe Burrow, T. Higgins and Jamar Chase. Chase Brown, keep him healthy. Offensive line should be a little bit better. There was a young group last year. Now defensively, you get Trey Hendrickson.

He'd get him paid. Finally, get him in the door. Give me the over there on the Bengals. That was going to be mine. That was going to be yours. Beautiful. Okay. I feel better about not picking that team.

I'm taking the kettle of challenge. I'm challenging. I'm challenging. There's just, I feel like we're at the point in the draft where these are starting to get harder to call. We've taken the ones we feel really good about. And now we're getting to the point where there's going to be a lot of ones that I don't want anything to do with. Wow, both of you. The Cowboys have that catastrophe potential.

I could see them completely imploding by like week five. Yeah, they have that every year though. Yeah, but this year especially, it's already the reels are starting to turn. We talked about like the coaching turnover. I'm not sure I'm buying the Schadenheimer. I mean, I don't even know if there's Schadenheimer hype. Yeah. So, yeah.

No, I think this is a fun one to have a challenge for. Again, like, I'm trying to preserve, like, my Sunday, when I'm looking at NFL Jesus, which is like the stat thing for people who are not, sickos like us. When I'm looking at that, I want to have some things that I actually want to look at. And, yeah, seeing if the Cowboys are losing, that would be interesting. So you default to calling it Jesus to people who don't know what it is? I always defer to saying it, calling it GSIS.

They've got a stretch of three games in 10 days midseason. The history of Mike Tomlin giving up on a wide receiver and that receiver going on the way. That's very true. All the Mike of Parsons stuff. O-line injuries are ready, no running back talent, and we're putting all our faith in Brian Schott and I were to get this right. And DAC coming off an injury and that defense.

A lot of faith. Somebody's got to win games in the division. Do they? Yeah. Okay. I mean, you are making me regret it. That's all I wanted to do. All right, E.J.

That offense was just completely.

I like this one. Yeah. Yeah, completely disjointed. I'm betting on C.J. Stroud, elevating that group, group around him being a little bit better. And then D'Amico Ryan's in that defense just being. And the distraction. They have like a.

So handsome on the sideline. Yes. Well, of course, he's hard to miss on the sideline. But defense is fun to look at too. You know, it's a good defense. So, yeah, I feel good about this one. After that, I don't like a lot of these. Yeah, it's tough.

Yeah. So I think I'm going to go, I'm going to, again, I'm going to try and do this off of vibes and have fun with this. I'm going to take the under for the Arizona Cardinals at eight and a half. You're just playing. You're just pandering now. Yeah, no, I'm just trying to have fun. Yeah, you've now gone under Stikin and Gannon.

Well, Scyken, it didn't have much. to do with Stuyken and had a lot more to do with the organization and the decision at quarterback. The Cardinals, I don't know, don't they just seem like doomed to just be mediocre every single season. Yeah, I mean, submedioca. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm not, I'm not a believer. so they were just on the brink of this with all the injuries on defense. There were three and four in one score games. Nothing that really like move the needle. I don't love the fact that they're still facing injuries again. Like Walter Nolan starts on Pup. B.J. Oj Lari on Pup again. So yeah, I didn't feel great about the over.

I was definitely on the fence about Arizona coming into this. Okay. It's not the most turn. It's now my turn. I'm between two here that I'm a little bit tepid on, but I'm going to go, listen, I've been critical of the deification of Justin Herbert. But nine and a half, I know the Vegas leans towards the under.

I'm going the over here. Wow. You know, I do my one little trick is the defenses who were good last year but didn't get a lot of takeaways. So they're going to get some positive takeaway regression. It's a great one. The Chargers were six in EPA per drive, but only 13th in takeaways, which is not a huge disparity, but enough to make me think they're going to get a little bit of a boost. I think the defense is good. I think the offense will be better than it was last year.

I know that they lost the offensive lineman, but I think Herbert's probably going to joke in the playoffs again. But I'm taking them to win 10-11 games. How was Buffalo in that little defensive exercise? They didn't qualify. I didn't. They weren't. they were not, they would not have been good.

They were the other way. Too many takeaways. Tons of takeaways. So there you go. Yeah, I was leaning under with the, with the Chargers, but I didn't,

that was another one I didn't feel great about, but I think we're reaching that point in the draft where this is going to be a tough one. Rageal offensive line. The thing about the Chargers, not counting the Brazil game, they've got six East Coast games this year. Not an easy schedule. They fly,

they're the team that flies the most miles in the NFL this year. So it's a, it is a tough schedule from a travel standpoint. Okay. It's France turned twice now. That's right. Thank you, E.J. And I made the right bet that my team was going to make a back. This is your top tier still. Yeah, this is the top tier one.

It's bad work by it. And it's an under. It's going to be a little shocking. I still actually don't like feel the fact that this was in my top tier. I don't feel great that it was in my top tier. I'm going to go Detroit Lions. Yeah. Under.

I know. Yeah. There's a team that went 15 and two last year. There were six and two and one score games. That said, the number two. hardest strength of schedule in the NFL for the day and is. They do face five teams coming off Monday night football games the week before. So they'd get a little bit of break that way.

The number one best rest edge in the NFL for that reason, according to Warren Sharp. But you lose Aaron Glenn, who Ben, who Bo loves. You lose Ben Johnson. You lose Frank Rag now late in the off season. Seven of their road games this year come against 2024 playoff teams. Aiton Hutchson was a defense player the year before the injury. we talked about it, year ago when we put the over with the lines where oh jared goff doesn't play a game outdoors and yeah he's one game outdoors all season the schedule is not as favorable this year a good one uh i think minnesota is high still i think green bay is high still i'm going to pull the lines back a little bit it's five games back though it's the only thing like the fact that they won 15 games and i'm picking them big under 10 or under is a little scary but i'm gonna go lines on what stands out to me is like dan campbell has talked in over the last few years about like the fragility of what the team that they built and the fact that it's not going to last forever. So I mean, he's kind of been

warning us about this. Yeah, you can you can see it. You can sort of see it. Like, oh man, it really was. That was their chance. Maybe it was all Ben Johnson and depending on how things go in Chicago. But like they lose those guys. And does Dan Campbell's, I'm not going to say shtick, but does this, does this personality still work if they're, if they're not as good. I kind of think it does, but is it enough? Is it enough? Yeah, I think that's, yeah. I think it's one okay you got one more i'm gonna go with one that's not gonna be popular oh i know it's probably more popular than bow's assertion that dallas is gonna win the division uh as he says um but i know where you're going san francisco 49ers 10 and a half i'm take the over here um number one easiest strength

schedule so easy extremely easy schedule uh not only that they don't play one team coming off a buy this year uh number two most injured team in the NFL last year so you expect some positive regression back towards the mean there. Christian McAfree seems like he's fully healthy. Like all reports are that he looks great, sounds great. He's the only one in the backfield that is healthy, but it sounds like he's fully healthy. What does the wide receiver situation look like?

That'll be up in the air. But I expect that this team's going to be able to run the ball. I expect the defense to be better than they were a year ago. I like the Robert Salaheyer, a defensive coordinator. 10 and a half is a big number, but I would expect them to be over that total by the time we get to December. I like it.

That's what I would have gone to. I think it probably would have been my next pick. Yeah. Is there another tier skip here for you guys? Does it feel like? I have one more in my little one here, which is not exciting. And this is, I am just, I don't feel good about this. Oh, no, I have to.

I think that, you know, the, the offense has sort of run out of ideas. They're a little bit fraudulent. I'm just going on my thing. 7th in EPA per drive on defense last year, but 27th in takeaways. 8.5 is a big number. I thought it was going to be seven and a half. they still have I kind of lean over I need some I need some wonders why don't I hate more well let me ask you this, E.J. So if you like Chicago as an over, who do you like as an under in that division? Who do you like to take a step back? I thought you made a good point about Detroit. Yeah, I think the Packers are going to be just as good. I don't know what to make it like Minnesota. Yeah, I don't feel strongly either way. Yeah, I think I I probably would have taken the under. I think I would have to. But. But yeah, you don't feel, it's just because you're betting against his health.

Yeah. Yeah. All right. Where am I going to go here? Who can I hate on? You know what? I can hate on the Patriots. Yeah.

Seven and a half. The Vegas odds are leaning further over, but it's, and I like, I do like Drake May, but like, this idea that like, Mike Vrable is, is an instant fix for everything that ailed them feels a little bit silly to me. I don't like that defense, I don't think that. defense is going to be great. Their offensive personnel is not great. I know everybody loves Trevian Henderson from the summer that he's had. It's a fun player, but seven and a half, like eight and nine for them. After the way that they looked the past couple seasons, that seems like a, that seems like a stretch. So I'm taking the Patriots under. Yeah, that's, it's like a very

popular over. Everyone keeps saying, like, oh, that's, this is an easy, like, take the over here for New England. They were the number three most injured team in the NFL last year. They have the number two easiest strength of schedule this year. Mike Brable has gone over his win total in four of his six seasons as a head coach, but he didn't do it in his final two in Tennessee. That is a high number. And this is a team that won four games

two years in a row. Point differential last year of minus 128. They weren't favored in a game once all season last year. That's a lot to say like, all right, we're going to basically go 500. Yeah, I leaned under there as well. All right, I'm going to go to another team. Your last two picks.

These are my last two. Oh, man. Try to keep up, Fran. I mean, come on. All right. I'm going to go with the team that was picking number one overall Tennessee Titans. Five and a half. I'm going to take the over.

I like the over too. That was going to be my last pick. I like Cam Ward. That's what happened. Cam Ward. I think that when you look at this team, number one, I mean, the quarterback play there was horrific last year. Special teams was historically bad, like lost them multiple games last year.

the offensive line was the worst in the NFL. So the offensive line has definitely improved. They put money and draft picks there. And I think they'll get some guys healthy back. I feel good about that offensive line. Quarterback should be better, really couldn't be worse than what they had a year ago. Tony Pollard is a year removed from his injury. The special team should improve.

And honestly, like, Dinard Wilson did an awesome job with Tennessee last year. And being in year two with a healthier secondary, I feel good about that. Number four, easiest strength of schedule, according to Dane is. And they've got two games against Tennessee. the Colts, two games against the Jaguars, then you got Patriots, Raiders, Cardinals, Browns, Saints, like there's six wins there. Oh, man.

There's six wins in there somewhere. I needed an under, though. I'm going to go, I'm going to go Titans over. I like that. And then, this is a tough. Carolina, six and a half, Jacksonville, seven and a half, Giants five and a half, Seahawks,

eight and a half. The last round that spreads your wins and fly draft. I really don't feel good about any of basic stuff. All right. This is a hedge. Okay. I'm going to take the over.

I don't feel good about this. I'm going to take the over. No, I'm not going to do that. I'm going to take the over on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Vol. Yeah, I'm going to take the over there. This is a team. Obviously, look, bad division.

So the same logic applies. I just said with the Tennessee Titans. They were four and 13 last year, but they were two and nine in one score games, just like could not find ways to be able to close things out. If Liam Cohen is the magician that people make them out to be with Tampa last year, you know, I'm expecting some positive regression there for everybody involved. And then this is a ninth easiest schedule from a strength of schedule standpoint, according to Dana. So I don't feel great about this one. Give me Jacksonville on the over. I don't love that one, though.

All right. Can they win seven games? Oh, hmm. I thought about that one. I want to go over on Seattle, but I just, I don't believe in Sam Darnold. Yep.

The Giants, I guess, I mean, it's ugly. I think, I think I'm going to use my last pick on over for the Panthers at six and a half, which I don't feel great about. Yeah. But it's the 50s, the schedule according to it is that's baked in.

I feel like, I do actually feel like like the NFL zeitgeist is a little bit too high on Bryce Young now. Yeah. It's like, oh,

yeah, that good end of the season. Like, he's just going to be good. Yeah. And I'm not so sure I believe that. Um, but listen,

they've got Derek Brown, which is worth eight wins on, on his own. A year ago. Um, I like, and I like Ted McMillan. Yeah.
