Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello and happy Wednesday, May 14th. This is the PHY Eagles show presented by our friends over at TrueMark Financial Credit Union, based right here in Fort Washington, 24 area locations all across the Delaware Valley. Find out why it's beneficial to have a credit union in your corner with True Mark Financial. Mr. Roy Burton, how are we? Mr. Jamie Lynch, I'm doing pretty well. How are you doing, my friend? doing all right now it is a big day on the NFL calendar year it's a big day here at
Starting point is 00:00:49 p hl y we're going to have a special schedule release show tonight with mr zach berman bow wolf and anthony gargano does uh the schedule release day get you jacked up like it does an gargano because my man was bouncing off of walls this morning with excitement this is my christmas this is my christmas jamie i have to admit every day when this when this schedule comes out You know, I kind of, you know, not only do I do the, of course, the wins and losses going down the list, which is the most insane exercise than anyone's. It is, but it's fun. It's fun. It's fun.
Starting point is 00:01:21 But I also, you know, kind of go down the list and see, hey, which games might be a road trip this year, you know? So we're going to kind of see later tonight, which ones are going to be the good road trips for the 2025 season. I think the big one, we don't know the date of it yet, obviously, but the road trip up to Buffalo, if you're a tailgate, football, energy kind of don't care about the bills like they don't bother you that to me as long if it's not you know minus 18 degrees and six feet of snow if you get that game in September October or November even November you're probably tolling with the winter a little bit that to me is a damn fun one to put on the calendar yeah there's certain cities where like you know I've already told my friends you know it's like look we're not doing buffalo in the winter probably
Starting point is 00:02:07 We're not doing Minnesota in the winter. You know, there's certain cities like Chicago, when Chicago's on the schedule on a road trip, don't do those, don't do those cities after Thanksgiving. You know, before that, September, October, those are good trips. Minnesota in the middle of December,
Starting point is 00:02:20 not going to do it. Not going to happen. No, no. Chicago, absolutely one of our country's best cities about late April through probably early November, mid-November, great, great place. You don't want to be there in the debt of winter. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:02:36 No, no, no, I've been to Chicago in April when it snowed. So I was like, you know what? I'm not doing it. I'm not doing that. Yeah, you probably even have to wait until May a little bit for Chicago. It is a great city, though. Would be a great trip if the weather's not an issue. So, Roy, let's start out with what we know already,
Starting point is 00:02:52 because a lot of the schedule kind of leaks out. You know, good morning America this morning had the news. Which one did they release? They released. They probably did the, I guess the Bears. No, it was the Green Bay game. You're right. Yeah, yeah. I think it was, so Michael Shrayhan was like, oh, I've got to talk about the Eagles.
Starting point is 00:03:12 I was like, yeah, you do, Mike, because they're world champions. Yeah, you do. Yeah, you do. So what we know so far, we know weeks one and two. Week one, at home, raising the Super Bowl banner with Jerry Jones and Dak Prescott watching. It's going to be pretty electric. When I first got the news, I was like, yeah, all right, that's cool, you know. the more it grew on me a little bit. I was like, all right, yeah,
Starting point is 00:03:39 I probably should have been a little more enthused by the season kickoff. Thursday night, whole world watching, Cowboys coming into South Philly. How do you feel about that one? I like it. I'm not quite all the way there yet. Because, again, in my mind,
Starting point is 00:03:52 I had kind of built up, you know, Eagles, Washington, like a rematch of that game. I just wanted to see them run it back, you know, against Jane Daniels and that Washington team. So in my mind, I had already kind of had that in my, you know, on my number one on my wish list. But then I thought about it and I'm like, they don't usually do divisional games.
Starting point is 00:04:10 So I kind of talk myself out of that and said, all right, well, maybe it'll be, you know, the Rams or maybe it'll be the Lions or, you know, one of those games.
Starting point is 00:04:17 I was hoping for the Lions, personally. Right. I thought that was cool. So the three games that I thought it could be, it was none of them. Yeah. So now it's the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:04:24 And I'm like, all right, I'm thinking I'm like you. Like, I'm kind of talking myself to it because he's like, you know what, you get the Cowboys at home. you get to see Jerry Jones have to watch the banner go up.
Starting point is 00:04:33 And so I get a little bit of, you know, I'll get a little bit of enjoyment out of that. So once September, was it the fourth, once the fourth rolls around September, I'll feel really great about it. I'm just not quite there yet because I expected commanders, lions, and Rams. Yeah, we'll get into the commanders because they have an insane amount of prime time TV games this year. It's like the Eagles two years ago where it was just outrageous.
Starting point is 00:04:57 So Anthony Gargano and Zach Berman got into it on Anthony's show a little bit the other day because Anthony got offended that Zach said that's a tough game opening the season against the Dallas Cowboys. And look, the Eagles are still going to be one of the best teams in the NFL. There's no denying that. They're a very good team. But Dak Prescott seems to play his best football against the Eagles. So part of me understood why Zach said, like, you know, I know everybody's joking, want to know, want to know. that could be in a relatively tough game.
Starting point is 00:05:29 DAC does play fairly decent against the birds. I think the birds are going to take it ultimately because they're the better team, top to bottom. But it's an intriguing matchup week one. And oh boy, if they lost that one, that would be quite ugly. Yeah, I don't want to put the blanket statement out there saying, you know, all divisional games are tough because they should stomp out the Giants. Sure.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Let's put the Giants to the side. But the Cowboys game should be a very tough game. I mean, like it's, you know, it's a divisional rival. you know, they know you pretty well. What's funny is that Jalen and Dack haven't really gone against each other that much. Yeah. One or both of them have been out used most of the time. So I think this is the fourth time that they're going to kind of match up by starting quarterbacks.
Starting point is 00:06:08 That sounds about right. Yeah. Yeah, I think it's the fourth time they're going to match up. So it's going to be intriguing from that perspective. It's a tough game. I know you don't want to hear it. I know it's the Cowboys. I know you think you're going to just like sweep the division every year.
Starting point is 00:06:19 But it's a tough game. Like it's a legit game. It's a game that the Eagles aren't ready for. Again, they can come out if they come out, flat. They come out, you know, reading the press clippings and getting too high, hype from the Super Bowl banner being raised. They could come out flat and come out, come out short in that
Starting point is 00:06:33 game. Yeah, Anthony was giving Zach a hard time. Like, what? That's not a tough game. And I was like, man, it's a tough game. I mean, Dak Prescott does play very well against the Eagles in his career. And what are your general feelings on DAC? I've never deep dove the DACPrescott
Starting point is 00:06:49 topic with you before. I think he's like a little better than mid. I think he's in that like 12 to 14 range, like 11 to 14 range. I don't want to be like too disrespectful towards him, but like, what is he won one playoff game? Yeah. You know, like, yeah, it's it's hard for me to overvalue him. I don't have him in the top 10, but he's right there. Uh, what are your thoughts on dad? Oh, Dakota. I think you're, I think you're probably about right. I mean, like there's, you know, of course, there's the super group of alien quarterbacks and,
Starting point is 00:07:23 you know, obviously he's not in that group. and then like probably like the tier of guys below that you know like the staffords and a bunch of those guys I don't think he's quite in that tier either. So I think it's right below it. I had to kind of rank the guys and the, like the quarterbacks in the league. He's probably not 11 to 14 range, which is good, which is fine. You can win a Super Bowl with Dak Prescott. Like I'll say it.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Like you put the right team around Beck Prescott. You can win a Super Bowl. The Dallas Cowboys haven't put the right team around Dak Prescott. Very. Yeah. I had a tweet the other day. I was like, well, if you're 30 years and younger and a Cowboys fan, you're going to see the first banner raising of your life on opening.
Starting point is 00:08:00 night at the link in south philly it's been it's been that long roy almost 30 years imagine that it's amazing like it's like we i don't know we talk about like certain teams like have like you know like the dolphins you know like the browns forever that i've never won the cowboys are like for as much as they're on tv as much as we talk about the cowboys you would think they've had would have had more success over the last three decades it's unbelievable how mid they've been for the last 30 years but we talk about the cowboys all the time and that's not just local, just nationally. Talk about Cowboys way too much for a team that hasn't really won anything.
Starting point is 00:08:37 And Fire Gannon says, I wonder how healthy DAC is going to be week one. He did have a pretty serious injury. I believe his own personal timeline is he'll be ready, but it's a fair point to consider. Now, his career numbers versus the Eagles, Roy, Dak Prescott has a passer rating of 100.6 with 3,400 yards, 24 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 13 games against the Eagles in his career. So pretty impressive numbers. Yeah, those are good numbers.
Starting point is 00:09:08 I guess probably the one thing that Dak probably remembers the most is running out of bounds to early, you know, when they played the Eagles and basically cost them that game. Yeah, I know, that's a shame. Yeah, Dex is, ah, man. Damn, sorry, Dex. Dax put up some really decent numbers. Like I said before, like this is not going to be an easy game.
Starting point is 00:09:29 the crowd's going to be electric, right? Like that building is going to just explode once that banner gets raised. So obviously the Eagles are probably going to come out pretty hype. But again, like you could probably come out a little bit too hype and too juiced up for that game. So again, I wouldn't put it past the Cowboys to give the Eagles a game. But that said, I went back and looked at the stats. Raining champions are 15 and 5 over the last 20 years when they raised a banner. So there's something to be able to releasing that banner week one in your own building for giving you that little edge.
Starting point is 00:09:58 that's a good little nugget there 15 and 5 i'm going to hold that one hold on to that one maybe i should so at our studios here i can't use my uh booming broadcasting voice because outside uh cooper de jean read blanket ship and this guy named saquin barclay are sitting around doing a podcast maybe i should go ask them their opinions on week one uh are you guys going to lose banner raising night and just stick a month on your face yeah i'm pretty sure you get free nose i'm pretty sure you get So big things coming. Keep your eyes tuned tomorrow for the exciting Mike's debut episode. You can get it on PHLY Sports and the exciting Mike's channel. It's going to be a great thing. So really looking forward to that coming out. And episode two might have a very famous running back in the mix with them.
Starting point is 00:10:47 All right, Roy, let's move forward to week two because we also know the week two game. And that is a rematch of the Super Bowl. The Philadelphia Eagles are going to. going to travel to Kansas City, which is a good road trip in itself, especially that time of year. Nice weather in KC. Great barbecue. Some good beer. I've been to KC. I've been to Arrowhead. Very cool stadium. Definitely one to circle on your bucket list. But a week two rematch of the Super Bowl, Roy, how you feeling about that one? I'm a little surprised that this wasn't like a Sunday night football game. Like this, I mean, obviously it's, you know, the national, you know, the 425, yeah. Does that mean Buckingham?
Starting point is 00:11:28 no no they're Monday night now it would be Brady and it would be Brady and yeah Brady and um yeah whoever's with Brady now yeah I'm playing it on the name that's another that's another that's another another
Starting point is 00:11:40 dude Greg also on a side let's sidetrack for one thing Greg old you gotta hate Tom Brady right you gotta take you money out of your pocket he's cost you millions of dollars and he's not as good as you like he came in most millions of dollars knocked you down
Starting point is 00:11:53 to number two and now you have to kind of go look for another job if you want to get paid what you should be getting paid Yeah. Yeah. Kevin Burkhard's the name I was thinking of her. There we got there. We got there. We got that. You should have a voodal of Tom Brady somewhere like in that Brockness booth. That's unbelievable. But anyhow, get back to the game.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Fantastic game, Jamie. I'm not saying I went on Google flights already and looked for flights. I'm not saying I went to Alamo.com and look for rental cars. I'm not saying I went to look for hotels. You know, I possibly, I possibly could have keyed in a couple things this morning. I'm just saying. when I heard the news. So this one is the circled one on the calendar for you?
Starting point is 00:12:30 Yeah, I think when you look at the road trips this year, as far as, you know, when they fall on this calendar, I think this is one of the top two or three games. I mean, again, this is, look, I think you're right. Super Bowl rematch, Kansas City, like you said, Arrowhead Stadium. Probably a stadium that, you know, most Eagles fans probably haven't gone to, you know, you're probably going to, like, you know, the NFCE stadiums and some of the bigger stadiums. I don't think a lot of people have gotten out to KC yet. So I don't know the Eagles played there was a couple years ago.
Starting point is 00:12:55 But I don't think people have made that trip to Lerner. Arrowhead. I haven't been. I know a lot of people haven't been. It's probably one of the more, you know, the bucketless stadiums for a lot of fans. So this is a game, man. This is one of the games that, you know, I'm sure every single one of those network executives were in that room trying to like fight over this game, obviously, because it's the, it's a Super Bowl rematch. So I am looking forward to this game. Hopefully, you know, we get another 40 to 22 outcome from from this game when they head out. And in my opinion, that game should be referred to as 40 to 6. I mean, the Eagles, The Eagles just gave up.
Starting point is 00:13:27 It's either 40 to 6 or 34 nothing. I'm not sure what the official score should be, but it's one of those two. Because after the dagger, right, the game's over, you know, so you can just end the score right there if you want to.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Yeah, but it's a great one. And to your point, if you're traveling, like relatively affordable flights, the cost of living down there is not going to kill you so you can probably get some decent hotels. And there's great barbecue.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Boulevard beers is a good beer. And it's, It's an easy city to get around. And Arrowhead's one of the, you know, few remaining historic stadiums in the NFL. So definitely going to be a top people's bucket list on the road trips this year. All right. Roy, on the other side here, we're going to talk about some friends of ours at PHLY. But then we got to talk about the rest of the games that we know,
Starting point is 00:14:14 plus the birds dodged Christmas Day, which I am pumped about. We'll talk about all that coming up next after we tell you about some of our friends here. Starting point is 00:15:34 Like, Brianna, who's producing me today is like, you dummy. There's like a go back tab and then there's like get out of the screen tab. And I always seem to hit the get out of the screen tab. Yeah, Bree's a super producer, but she can't help you. Oh, yeah, I can't like, you know. Nobody can help me. My wife's been working all me, Roy, for 20 years. There's, there's no hope here.
Starting point is 00:15:52 But of course, if I want to treat my wife to something, special. I hope everybody out there took care of your moms in your life, your wives, your sisters, your friends who are moms.
Starting point is 00:17:14 I hope every mom out there had a great, great weekend. And now, Roy, before we get to the rest of the games, I was really nervous that the Eagles were going to get a Christmas game. Because one of the other leagues we got the other day was the Eagles commanders were going to be the Saturday game before the short week Christmas. And last year, the four teams that played on that Saturday ended up being the Christmas games. So like for two days, I had the family text chain on high alert. I was like, oh, no, I feel like a Christmas game is coming. Everybody was nervous. And then it comes out, no Christmas game for the birds of this year.
Starting point is 00:17:55 I'm ecstatic about it because Christmas is one of my favorite days. And this is how I view it, Roy, and then you let me know how you feel. You only get 18, you only get 18 Eagles game days. Like, it's a small percentage of the year. I don't need the crossover of Eagles and Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday. We have a huge like 60 person family party. We play games.
Starting point is 00:18:19 We do white elephant. We're talking. We're catching out with family members. We don't see. To have an Eagles game thrown in the mix, I hate. And this is coming from somebody who's Aunt Sally through the party saying, let's just do a football tailgate party. I'm going to make all everybody's favorite like tailgate foods.
Starting point is 00:18:36 So like the family's accommodating to the Eagles and we based the day around it. And I still hated it. So I'm very happy to see that they, they dodged a Christmas day game. What are your thoughts on football on Christmas? See, see, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:18:49 It's like, if the family's accommodating, then I don't really see the issue. Like, I'm like, I'm all for an Eagles game if the family was accommodating. But how,
Starting point is 00:18:57 you know, usually I'm, you know, I'm usually with the in-laws, and the in-laws, you know, they're up in Connecticut. They do not care
Starting point is 00:19:04 about the Eagles. So the Eagles are to play on Christmas. I'd have to sneak out to my car for like three hours and watch the game on my phone because everybody's doing everything else. I'm not caring about the Eagles. So in that situation, you know, obviously I don't want the Eagles to play on Christmas.
Starting point is 00:19:19 But if the family's accommodating, if you can have like an Eagles little tailgate kind of party, brunch kind of thing going on, I think that's the perfect situation. I think it's great. I think having the Eagles on Christmas, if everybody's into it, it's great. However, if you have to kind of sneak away and be that person that the non-social person, you know, during the Christmas, you know, celebrations, that's a little bit of a different story. Yeah, yeah. it's uh i don't you know i had some people say like oh i went down and tailgated with the family
Starting point is 00:19:47 we had a great day one of the best i get that i just i don't know i just want my 18 game days to be my game days you know what i mean like i don't i don't need all that going on but i see both sides of it but i personally hated it so i'm so do you so do you hate christmas if the eagles play on if and when the eagles play on christmas do you hate that um the eagles yeah Yeah, I do. All right. All right. So you're consistent.
Starting point is 00:20:13 I generally just thought the NBA like, you know, four games was perfect because it's like, like we're watching. We're betting on it with bet three, six, five. We're having, you know, we're throwing in long shot parlays, but it's like good background noise. Like when the six is played, we were into it. But like typically it's just like something good to have on on the TV. The NFL is too much. Like I like sitting down and watching games too much that I view it as like an interference.
Starting point is 00:20:40 You know what I mean? I got you. Yeah. So NFL, Sunday, Saturdays, Thursdays, because they take every day of the week now. So every day of the game, you're locked in, right? Like, that's it. Like, Jamie Lynch is locked in whenever an NFL game was on. When a basketball game is on, we have the five Christmas games like we had this year. And they were really good games. The five Christmas game, like, you're picking at the buffet, you know, at the Christmas buffet. And you're watching the next game. And you're like, Jaylor Brunson, hey, nice little game. But then you're going back to the buffet. You're opening presents. You're playing with the kids. And then you go, oh, the nuggets are on. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Yeah. When the NFL's on, you're locked in. Like, you're watching the Ravens smash the Texans, right? Like, you're watching.
Starting point is 00:21:16 And I feel like the NFL takes me away from my family. And it's like, that's fair. I know you can like socialize. It's just like, leave like, come on NFL, leave Christmas Day alone.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Like, like, just let the NBA have a day. Like, come on. I keep, I told people, I put this out on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:21:30 This is like, this is like, Marlough coming for the Barcstale territory in the wire. Right. This is it. Do you know who I am? Like, Barkdale,
Starting point is 00:21:37 Barksdale has their corners, right? But Marlowe was like, look, man, you know, like, I'm coming. My name is my name. Like, this is my, this is my territory now. But the NFL sees that the NBA had a captive audience on Christmas Day. They're like, you know what? We can put just about any game, any two teams together on, you know, on this day and get, you know, 15,000 or 15 million, 20 million on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:21:58 So we're going to do it every year. And I'm really surprised to see, I know. I'm surprised to see that because now this year, like this year's games are amazing. The match, they appear to me. pretty good. So yeah, we'll see what happened this year. Yeah, we'll see what happens. By the way, before we dive into the actual Christmas Day games, the real Marlowe Stanfield, who the character is based on, I just saw this on Instagram this morning, there's a documentary coming out about him. Really? Really? Which I don't know who's carrying it or what, but it looked,
Starting point is 00:22:28 I was like, I'm in, say less. I'm all in. I'm all in. Okay. So those Christmas Day games that you mentioned are, pretty damn good on paper. So the three Christmas Day games, we have Vikings Lions, divisional matchup. If J.J. McCarthy doesn't suck, then that should be a pretty good game. Yep.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Yeah, Vikings Lions. Yeah, go ahead. I'm sorry. Yeah. Commanders, Cowboys, an NFC East division rival game. Now, this is kind of perfect because we have a rooting interest in it, whatever that ends up being based on the outcome of the NFCEs. It's good background noise, but like I don't have.
Starting point is 00:23:07 have to be tied into every single play. So like that's that's a good Christmas Day game. I'll say that's okay. And then the final game is Bo Nix and the Broncos at the Kansas City Chiefs. That should be a pretty decent one as well. So three games on paper, no no trash bag games there. That's pretty good. Yeah, no trash games. Now again, the balls and is Adam Silver's Court, right? Like what what is the NBA going to come back with to counteract? Because those are pretty, those are three pretty solid games. I mean, and the NBA, again, they usually have their five game schedule. I mean, we're going to see, I guess, you know, kind of depends on what happens with the rest of the playoffs. But I'm sure we'll see a healthy dose of Jalen Brunson and SGA and Kolaokage and,
Starting point is 00:23:51 you know, maybe even the Sixers, you know, who knows? I know this isn't the Sixers show. Sixers show's coming up in about a half hour, so make sure you tune into the guys. But Roy, like, I got a little, look, the Celtors are going to have to blow it up. Jason Tatum's going to miss a lot of next year. And right now you're looking at the Knicks and the Pacers going to the Eastern Conference finals, you can't tell me the Eastern Conference is a little bit up for grabs. The bucks are going to probably blow it up, you know, dames out,
Starting point is 00:24:17 probably going to be out for most of the year. And Janus is already kind of, Janus is going to be in Miami. Putting those little feelers out there or San Antonio. So like, who knows? I mean, again, like the, you know, if Darrymoury kind of makes the right move, you know, right moves, I should say, this summer, it could be in the mix. It could be in the, in the, in the mix for that, one of those Christmas games.
Starting point is 00:24:34 We'll see. We'll see. Yeah. Derek and Kyle are cringing. right now going, what you guys talk about? Exactly. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:43 So solid Christmas day for the NFL. In terms of what else we know for the Eagles, it looks like the Eagles at the Bears Black Friday. Now, I hate Christmas games. Black Friday games, perfect. Because most people are off. I know a lot of people work. Yeah, I work in the media.
Starting point is 00:25:02 So, like, you know, holidays mean very little to me, unfortunately. So I feel sympathy with anybody that has to work out there. But most people are off. It's like national rub your belly day. You're cyber shopping. You're just full from the day before. You're wearing sweatpants.
Starting point is 00:25:18 You're probably not leaving the house much. Perfect day for some NFL football. Love this one. Perfect day. Perfect team, right? The Bears, like, I mean, God bless the Bears. But, I mean, that should be a game, you know, late in the season with the Eagles. You know, they should be able to win, take care of business at home against a Bears team.
Starting point is 00:25:33 They're better than the Bears. I mean, like, I know the Bears have got better this all season. But they're a better team. But again, that should be one of those wins, those intra-inter conference wins that you kind of like rack up. So, you know, you can win whatever tie-breakers you need to at the end of the year. So perfect, perfect team for that game. And we mentioned it before briefly, but I do want to go back to that Green Bay game, the Green Bay game in Week 10. Oh, yeah, we did kind of skip over that one in the order of the season.
Starting point is 00:25:58 We got the, we got the Tush-Push-Ref game, right? Like, if and when they ban the Tush-Push, we got to get our get back on the Green Bay, right? Like, that's what that game's all about. I mean, it's going to be, it's going to be banned, right? Yeah. Like, yeah, it's over. And who's the, uh, who's the old man, weasel, McMurphy? Uh, that's crying up a storm out there in Green Bay.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Yeah. Why does it seem like every year, Roy now we play the Packers? It's, it seems like every thing. I know it's because like the order you finish in and all that, but like, man, we play Green Bay a lot now. They're becoming like kind of a, I don't hate them because we own them. But it's a lot of Packers games lately.
Starting point is 00:26:44 It's like, it's like the Ravens and the Bills and the Chiefs. Like they all play each other every year. Like every year, it's always Ravens play the Bills and the Chiefs and the Bills play the Ravens and the Chiefs. Like every single year, it's like no matter where they finish. And they're always near the top,
Starting point is 00:26:55 always usually near the top. But they've played each other for like 17 straight years. I think it's probably going to be the same thing with the Packers because the Packers are probably going to be pretty good. Like they're going to be in that mix, you know, like at the top of the NFC North. So if the Eagles kind of keep doing their thing, you know, they'll be the top of the NFC East. But yes, it seems like a lot of Packers game. Like, I haven't, I have to go back.
Starting point is 00:27:15 It seems like we play the Packers a lot pretty much every year. But again, like it kind of just comes with, you know, when you're as good as the Eagles have been, you know, you're going to play the better teams in the league. Yeah. And they're a team I don't mind playing because there's some opponents where you face them and you just know you're going to win. And the Packers, to me, are that team. I feel like they've dominated them.
Starting point is 00:27:37 I'll have to go back and look it up. But, like, I feel like they just own the Packers, and I'm never worried about them. Jordan loves another guy very much in that Dak Prescott kind of range. Like, not one of those top seven guys, probably taking a Stafford over him, gun to my head, you know, probably taking some of those eight to ten guys over him. But he's, like, right there, like, in DAC territory,
Starting point is 00:28:00 where he's good, I think slightly overrated, doesn't really send shivers down my spine. Yeah, he doesn't scare me. You know, those receivers they have, they don't scare me. I will say this, I'm going to peel the curtain back a little bit. You weren't that confident about the Eagles, you know, at the watch party this past year. You and I were at the Eagles Packers watch party. When the Eagles came out looking awful at the gate down in Brazil against that Packer team, I will say this.
Starting point is 00:28:28 If their first quarter, quarter and a half. I wasn't confident then. Yeah, yeah. I was nervous, yeah, because it was an unknown product we had. But like now bring them on, bring on the Packers. Bring on Jordan Love. So that's the week 10 game. Yeah, so we have the NFC North games known, Bears and Packers.
Starting point is 00:28:50 I kind of fully expect to go 2 and O in that one. Screw the NFC North. Fraud Watch. They were on Fraud Watch all last year and it's going to continue into this year. So that's a question I have for you. We haven't heard a Sunday night game for the Eagles as of yet. I imagine the Sunday night game would probably be that Lions game. I would think so.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Yeah, that that has to be. Is Detroit on Fraudwatch? The whole conferences or the whole division is. Oh, okay. All right. Yeah, like last year, I was doing the show with Bow and I was like, man, this energy north's pretty impressive. And then you just started like realize and like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:28 It's like, I don't know, a weak conference. Like, what quarterback are you really afraid of in the NFC North? Like, does Jared Goff really scary at the end of the day? Jordan Love. Now, Caleb Williams could come out and set the world on fire this year. He's got a long way to go. We'll see what Caleb Williams is. But, like, overall, the quarterback's in that conference, you can have it.
Starting point is 00:29:51 So if a quarterback isn't good, then you kind of dismiss the team. Like, you're not worried about, you know, Gibbs and those guys and, you know, Amar Rossi and Brown. You're not worried about those guys in Detroit at all. Nah, Jared Goss's a turnover machine when it comes to the playoff time. What did you throw versus the commanders? Like four?
Starting point is 00:30:07 Yeah, I think four. Yeah, yeah, I can. Yeah. So, all right.
Starting point is 00:30:11 I appreciate the confidence. And look, when you have that ring on your finger, you have the right to be as confident as you want to be. Because, again, you're just happening, you know? So, hey,
Starting point is 00:30:21 it is what it is. All right. Let's take another quick little break and tell you about some more friends of ours here. at PHLY. And if you're like me, not only are you impatient, but you hate going to big box stores. Why do you hate going to big box stores?
Starting point is 00:30:40 Because you can't find an expert that knows what they're talking about. And this is why Empire Today is the absolute best. Empire Today has the shop at home convenience that you're looking for. One, you get an expert to come right to your front door. And they're going to come prepared with their virtual floor designer.
Starting point is 00:31:11 So right then and there, with their technology, you can see what your new floors are going to look like in your home, right there with your furniture and your artwork and all your family photos and all that. So you get a great sense of what it's going to look like right there in your home. And you don't even have to leave the house. They'll come, and if you're looking for an installer, they coordinate everything for you. And they can usually turn it around the next day. Those big box stores, yeah, they might have flooring.
Starting point is 00:31:38 But the person helping you with flooring has no idea about flooring. With Empire Today, you get the experts that you know and want without the hassle of going to a big box store, and you get the expert opinion right then and there. With Empire Today, you get clear upfront and all-inclusive pricing. Plus, you can schedule installation as soon as the next day. Starting point is 00:32:11 Yes, you heard that right. A $350 discount with code P-H-L-Y. Restrictions apply. Visit Empire today for full details. All right. Now, I tried to navigate this one a little smoother, and I did equally as bad of a job. Now I just am convinced I have no idea how to do it. So after the show, I'm going to have to ask Brianna to show me how to just back out.
Starting point is 00:32:36 But tonight, we have something awesome going on here at PHLY, and that is the schedule release show. Why is it awesome? Because we're working with our friends at Philly sports trips to bring you the show. PHLY is going to be hosting a special NFL schedule release show presented by our friends at Philly Sports Trips tonight, May 14th. Coverage is kicking off at 7.30 p.m. and we're discussing with Anthony Gargano, Bo Wolf, and Zach Berman. And I have Anthony Gargano staring at me right now through my glass office store, beating me down with his eyes. But that's how excited he is for the schedule release show tonight, 730 right here on PHLY. make sure you're subscribed to the channel and tuning in tonight at 730 because we're going to have some great things to announce from our friends over at philly sports trips and you can see bow wolf zach burning anthony and anthony react live to the matchups coming down the pipe for the reigning super bowl champ philadelphia eagles again NFL schedule extra special show tonight 7 30 p.m right here on p hly brought to you by our friends at philly sports trips yeah no no pressure doing the uh
Starting point is 00:33:48 the reed with Anthony Gargano staring at you. You want to come say hello to the people? Come so hello. I'm with Roy. We're doing the Eagles show. Yeah. Look. It's me and Roy.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Here, look. A little look behind the curtain here. There we go. There we go. We're just going through the schedule of what we know. Let's get a little thumbs up for the cause on the channel. 7.30 tonight. Anthony Bowen's act.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Nice. I was talking about how excited you were today. Roy said this is like a Christmas morning for him too. Yeah. No, you're good. So, all right, the only other game we know as of now that we haven't gotten to yet, Roy, I believe, unless something has leaked during the show. We got a couple more leaks.
Starting point is 00:34:37 We got a couple more leaks. Okay. We have Week 16 versus the commanders. Yes, sir. Now has something else come out that I missed because I've been a little busy the past hour and a half? We have Week 18 versus the commander. So two commanders.
Starting point is 00:34:51 And 18. 16 and 18. 16 at DC, 18 at home to close out the season against the commanders. So reading the schedule maker's minds there, they think the NFC East is coming down to the commanders and Eagles and one deciding games in week 16 and 18. Sounds about right. Sounds about right. Okay. So we got those two games. And we also have the two Giants games. We got the week six, the Giants game Thursday night football. That's at New York. And then we got week. Eight Giants here. So week six and week eight are the Giants. Week six is Thursday night football. So those are two dubs right there. Yeah, those are two dubs and those are early in the season.
Starting point is 00:35:31 So again, going off your schedule maker theory, the Giants, not in the mix of the end. Get them out of the way. Get them out of the way. Get them out. Get them out. Get them done. They're done. So the schedule release is 7.30 to night and we already know, what is that, seven games now?
Starting point is 00:35:46 We got eight. We already know more than half the schedule before the schedule. before the schedule release. This is like the legal tampering period of the NFL schedule. This is legal tampering. This is like, how does Paul George sign at 12.01 a.m. You know,
Starting point is 00:35:59 when NBA start the NBA. It's amazing. It's amazing how this happens. Yeah. So the other one, the only other NFC East game we don't know is the second cowboy game. And that's obviously going to be in Dallas. So whether it's not a factor there in Jerry World.
Starting point is 00:36:14 But there you have it. Eagles NFC East schedule all but known. We know who the teams that they're going to be playing. Any predictions for you tonight? Like anything you're looking forward to time of the year, like a road trip outside of Kansas City you want to make, like Buffalo perhaps, but you don't want it to be cold.
Starting point is 00:36:34 What are you kind of looking for on high alert tonight? Yeah. So again, for those of you out there looking for the road trips, you know, maybe Philly sports trips can help you out with that. You know, the road games that we don't know, Cowboys, Bucks, Chargers, Vikings, and the bills. So again, depending on weather, you know, probably Buffalo, Minnesota, probably pretty good trips.
Starting point is 00:36:52 You can make that L.A. Charter trip whenever. I mean, that's number one, it's a tub. Number two, that's going to be, the weather's going to be great. I've never made the trip to Tampa. Like, I don't know if you've made the trip to Tampa. I don't know how. So I've been there, I've been there a bunch. Tampa's low-key pretty solid.
Starting point is 00:37:07 I like Tampa a lot. Now, I've never really done Miami much. I've driven through Miami pass-through. I've done like West Palm and Hollywood and a couple of, other places. I think Tampa and the surrounding beach areas, like, might be my favorite part of Florida. Tampa's pretty cool. Okay. All right. Okay. So yeah, because you can get like 40, 40 minutes here at Clearwater Beach. Like, you can do some excursions. Like, there's a lot around it. That's pretty cool. Tampa itself is fine. It's not bad, though. Good weather, as long as it's not too hot.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah. So that's a, that's a possibility for those of you who want to do the road trip. But again, like that home game, the home schedule, the one game, I'm looking forward to is that Lions game. Like that Lions game, Eagles Lions game, that's the other, the one that we don't know so far. That to me is the game that I'm kind of, I'm really want to know where that is on the schedule. Because again, what you do with the wins and loss is, you know, if they had that rough patch, if they have that, you know, that, that Murderer's Rogue kind of gauntlet thing, you know, like somewhere in there.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Like, let's kind of put that Lions game, like, you know, in between those Giants games and kind of kind of make it make a little bit easier for the boys. Yeah. And the other one that's not a bad city, but is definitely weather dependent outside of Buffalo, too, was Minneapolis because kind of a cool city if the weather's right. But again, you don't want to be there in the middle of winter. Now, they do have a lot of connecting tunnels of buildings downtown and stuff like that. But certainly a much more enjoyable game if that's September, October, as opposed to
Starting point is 00:38:33 November, December. Yeah, like at some point in Minneapolis, if you go there in December, you will have to go outside. And at some point, it will be below 20 degrees. And you probably don't want to deal with that. So, yeah. So I think generally just spitballing here, Roy, 16 and 1, 15 and 2, we think is how they're going to wrap up. Listen, Jamie, I don't want to kind of put my, you know, go out over my skis. You know, I do want to see all 17 games listed out, you know, because again, like,
Starting point is 00:38:59 there could be that, you know, that Reds games, Lions, the track game, the commanders, lions, you know, thing going on and so. So I'll conservatively say 15 and 2, but then I might give you 16 and 1 after the schedule officially comes out. Worst case 14 and 3. If everybody gets hurt, you know, you know, if we have to deal with, you know, eight games of Will Shipley, then, you know, maybe, maybe 14th and three. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:23 It's going to be a really exciting year for the birds. One, because of the two guys doing a podcast out on our couch with the, you know, all pro world phenom, Sequin Barkley. But just like Jihad Cam will get net. I know you lost a lot, but I'm really looking forward to like, year two of J.O.T. O. Tung.
Starting point is 00:39:43 And year three of Nolan Smith. And year four of Jalen Carter. Like the core of this team is just going to grow and continue to get better. And Cooper DeGine and Quinyan in year two. And even Jahan Dotson, you know, a piece last year that got added in late should be better than he was. Now, the only person I would say that can't be better than they were is probably Sequin Barkley just because he had perhaps the greatest running back
Starting point is 00:40:09 season ever. so how do you get better than that? But everybody else, like, I expect the same or better. Yeah, I saw there was a, I forget who had this, but they were saying like, you know, Jalen Hertz is even more determined and more locked in, you know, this offseason. Like I want to see, again, because Jalen, you know, you have a couple of plays on the field last year.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Like, I want to see super locked in, super determined Super Bowl champion Jalen Hertz, like even more focused now. Like what Jailen Hertz do we get now after everything we've seen? If we get Jailen Hertz, you know, a 10% better, Jalen Hertz a 15% better Jailen Hertz. This team's going to be very difficult to beat. Yeah. Now, one of the
Starting point is 00:40:48 parts of the schedule release, Roy, is learning all the channels and networks you need to watch NFL football. Is Roy Burton up on his peacock and Universal and Amazon Prime and
Starting point is 00:41:03 is there a Facebook game? I can't even keep up anymore. The cost of watching NFL games is going up up up up it's not great so there's so so you have to have over-the-air tv obviously if you want to watch the fox and tbs stuff got to have amazon prime you know if you want to watch the amazon prime games got to have netflix if you know if you want to do in the christmas thing i gotta watch those netflix games there's a pica i don't know there's a christmas yeah real quick netflix is this is the first entirely all streaming game on christmas correct uh was i think i read that i could
Starting point is 00:41:40 Last year was they were on Netflix or was just one? I think one was on. Yeah, I'm going to have to double check that. I know that's, I know that Steelers game was on Netflix. I don't know if the Ravens. Yes,
Starting point is 00:41:50 I think it was also simulcast. I think this year might be the first true only streaming option, which is a real arm bar by the NFL. Yeah, yeah, because I know, because remember last year they had the peacock only playoff game. I don't know if they're doing a peacock only playoff game this year.
Starting point is 00:42:06 I imagine. Probably. And there's the first game of the season, the, well, not first game, the game that's in Brazil, the Kansas City, well, L.A. Chargers versus TBD, probably KC in Brazil, YouTube game. So if you want to watch that game, you got to fire up YouTube. So, you know. So maybe that's what I'm thinking of.
Starting point is 00:42:24 Maybe it's the first YouTube game that's exclusive to, I don't know. I'm getting my facts all across here. That game's only on YouTube. So like, I guess. So that's what it was. It was the YouTube game, not the Netflix game. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:37 So if you know, if you're going over Grandma's house, you know, week one. or something, or Grandpa's house, and they're not internet savvy. You might need to fire up, fire up the laptop for them, or, you know, like add the YouTube app to their TV if they want to watch KC. Chargers. And of course, you know, if you want to, you know, watch everything, got to get the Sunday ticket, you know, and all other stuff. And Jamie, look, you're like me.
Starting point is 00:42:56 So I know you probably have NFL Red Zone. So that's another, you know. Of course. I have to. Yeah, got to. You have to remember to unsubscribe from it at the end of the season, though, because if you don't, you know, with Hulu, it's like the sports package. And then they keep you hooked for like $20 a month for God knows what.
Starting point is 00:43:13 So you got to unsubscribe every December. Yeah, you're paying 20 books a month just to hear that NFL film music, you know, for like eight, nine, nine months of the year. Like, what am I doing, man? Yeah. Yeah. I miss Scott Hanson. Can't wait to have that.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Love Scott. I love Scott. Now, one of the teams that you're likely competing for the NFC East with is the Washington Commanders. The Washington Commanders, Roy. From their half the schedule it's already been released, now have six primetime games plus they're playing in Madrid, plus they have a Christmas Day game.
Starting point is 00:43:52 The Madrid and Christmas Day games are not considered prime time games. So the Washington commanders are going to have eight prime time games on the NFL schedule. I don't think that's an advantage. Like, it's a sign that your team has turned the corner and like things are good, but it sucks because you're throwing off your routine, weekend and week out, you're waiting around all day. If it's a road game or if it's in Madrid, like you have that extra long day.
Starting point is 00:44:20 If I was a professional athlete, I would want that one o'clock or four o'clock game. And that's it. I don't want to wait around all day. I'd want to go. So eight prime time games for the Washington commanders this year. Incredible. That's an incredible jump. Like maybe the networks are maybe too much in love with the commanders, because,
Starting point is 00:44:38 I don't say they came out of nowhere, but last year, I don't think most people expected the commanders and Dan Quinn to do what they did last year. So eight's a lot. I mean, that's half the schedule, eight out of 17. That's basically half your schedule. And like you said, yeah, and these guys are creatures of habit, right?
Starting point is 00:44:53 Like, I'm sure the commanders last year, if I had to guess probably didn't have much more than like three, you know, like three of these kinds of- I can't imagine. At the most. I mean,
Starting point is 00:45:01 they probably play most of their games Sundays on 1 o'clock. And now you're basically playing eight games and you're going overseas, you know, like that's a lot for for a young team trying to try to kind of still make its way in the NFC so yeah that's I think like you know knock on wood you know hopefully everything kind of goes well with them but maybe they're like that team like the Jets last year remember the Jets were on TV like all the time and they stunk you know so like maybe even two years when the when the Eagles kind of struggled a little bit you know after this you know they got all those prime time games and it was
Starting point is 00:45:32 just kind of like a funky season a little bit yeah you know it's it's I don't know No, it's, now we can share secrets here since it's just us two girls talking. Nobody's really listening. We're in the trust tree. I will say this. Jaden Daniel scares me a little bit. Listen, Jay Daniels was really good. Like, he's a, if I had to, if you could buy stock in NFL players, I would put a lot of money in Jane Daniel stock.
Starting point is 00:46:00 He's a really good quarterback. Like, he's going to be in that alien quarterback discussion in a couple of years. I think he's that good. I mean, you could probably make the case, and I haven't done this yet. Yeah. But like if you're doing your top, let's say eight, a little better than the top 10, if you're doing your top eight, like he, he already might sneak in there. Now I know the sophomore slump can happen.
Starting point is 00:46:23 Sure. And they get more tape on you and all. He seems like kind of above that. Now, that's just my gut feeling. The way he evaded pressure and had the eyes in the back of his head and like was just cool under pressure and he just seemed unflappable. I don't know. I feel like he's already going to be one of those scary alien types.
Starting point is 00:46:43 Yeah, I think, I think, you know, because you go back a couple years ago, like C.J. Stroud had a really good, you know, first year. And you're like, all right, he's, you know, he's going to be a good quarterback. Why'd you have to bring him up? I took him in fantasy keeper and I was so ecstatic. I thought I was satch, Roy. Everybody was so bullish on C.G. Stroud, you know, like, my good friend, our good friend, Sean Brace,
Starting point is 00:47:01 Fox Sports to Gamble. He said, oh, CJ Stroud's going to throw for 40 touchdowns. I was right there with Sean. C.J. Stroud was a really good player. But he was good. Like he was good as a young player. I didn't see, like, I saw something different from Jaten Daniels. Like, Jaten Daniels.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Like Jaden is just made plays multiple times against the Eagles, against everybody else. That were just different. Like, like plays like four or five guys in the league can make, right? And like, I didn't see the same thing from C.J. Stroud. That's why I think we're so bullish on Daniels because he could, he gets do things on the field. It's like I haven't seen a lot of guys do. So again, like push all your ships to the center of the table on Jane Daniels. If I'm in a fantasy league with you, Jamie, probably going to draft them early.
Starting point is 00:47:42 I'm letting you know right now. Yeah. And I'd secretly be on the side. I wouldn't say this in the group chat, but I'd be like, damn, nice pick, Roy. You know, like one of those because the commanders were such a joke for so long. And it's like, it shows you how one player can really change the entire culture and direction of the franchise and eight primetime games for the commanders. Wow. God bless them.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Unbelievable. So a couple other things to get into here, Roy, but first, before I do that, I just want to tell you about a really cool event we got coming up here at the station. And that is the 2014 Liberty Open, the P-H-L-Y golf outing. It's our second. I believe, can you say annual once it's the second? Because first is inaugural. Second becomes an annual, right? So it's an annual event now. All right. The second annual, Liberty Open. June 14th over at Valleybrook Country Club. It's presented by Xfinity. Starting point is 00:49:18 dot com slash events to learn more and purchase individual or foursome reservations for the tournament diehard members don't forget you're eligible to save $50 off a foursome terms and conditions apply all right this is the P. H.L. Eagles podcast presented by our friends over at Trumark Financial Credit Union.
Starting point is 00:49:39 Roy, I believe it was Monday night, Mr. Howie Roseman, our dear sweet prince of a GM, was honored by the Philadelphia Tourism Board down at the Constitution Center as the MVP, the most valuable Philadelphia. And, you know, Howie said all the right things. I'm up here representing my team and the organization and, you know, all the scouts and everybody that makes me look good. not denying that Howie Roseman is the most valuable Philadelphia in this year, because when you bring a Super Bowl and the amount of happiness that he did to the Delaware Valley, you deserve that honor. Who in sports could be in the 2025 running in your mind for the most valuable Philadelphian?
Starting point is 00:50:24 It's a good question. Well, I think of that. I will say I didn't send a couple texts during the show. I will say that I did find out that Jamie Lynch finished second the most valuable Philadelphia. award for the 12th year in a row. So Jamie, I apologize. Maybe, maybe next year. Always the bridesmaid. Yeah. Maybe next year. 25. That's a very good question. Okay. You know, if we want to be optimistic again, we talked a little sixers earlier. If we want to be optimistic, maybe Darry is in the mix
Starting point is 00:50:50 for next year. You know, me is in the mix for next year. If you want to kind of be a little bit optimistic with that, I really think, you know, if you had to stick keep it to sports, it's probably, you know, probably, I guess, between three guys. It's probably Bryce Harper, Jalen Hertz, and maybe if you want to kind of go up, Jeffrey Lorry. Jeffrey Lurie is just kind of let how he kind of do his thing. Like you'd let Howie kind of do the shit. Has it been in the way?
Starting point is 00:51:13 Because, again, we've seen the meddlesome owners, you know, in all sorts of leagues and sports and teams. Jeff has just let Jerry Jones. I didn't say names. Jeff has just let him do Howie things. And, you know, look, we'll look with them that has brought us these last few years. So I wouldn't be opposed to have given Jeff. free lorry the award because he's been fantastic.
Starting point is 00:51:33 It's a great one. And the amount of cash, you know, that they, you know, restructure constantly with guys going out of pocket, you know, he's been a tremendous owner. And to your point, if they are Super Bowl quality team again and let's say get back, you have a little bit of a mini dynasty on your hands. And that's what I've always wanted in my sports fandom life. And I never really thought.
Starting point is 00:52:00 we would get. But if they're back, I think Jeffrey Lurie is a great one. But the other one you said, if the fills can get it done and not make this window of success a failure, I think Bryce Harper could be leading the MVP next year at the Constitution Center. So I think he hit the nail on the head, two of those three guys. And then if Joel and B. was to, you know, leave the Sixers from the ashes and return with a healthy knee, he certainly could be in the the mix too. So I think you nailed it with those three. So no love for Darry. Daryl Morey nails his draft pick. If he kind of, if he gets off of bad contracts, maybe, yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:52:43 I don't, Darryl Morey's in a weird spot because I don't dislike what he's done. He was handed a bag of goods that had a lot of spoiled fruit in it. And, you know, Tyrese Maxie and Jared McCain, and to your point, If he gets the number three pick right, whether that be Ace Bailey or Vijay Edgecombe or you trade down and get a canoeble, whatever. As long as it's the right play, he's going to be in pretty good spot, you know, and the sixers, who knows? Maybe they got a puncher's chance here. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:53:18 All right. As we wind down here, because we're going to be getting out at 3 o'clock, because our internet bandwidth here at the studios has more important things to do than hear me and you. A couple things I wanted to get to. Now, the Kansas City Chiefs, it came out from ESPN. And Roy, this is almost a gift for Byrds fans, because the Kansas City Chiefs have a special coming out from ESPN, and they spent all year, here it is, let's just watch it. ESPN thought they were filming the kingdom.
Starting point is 00:53:55 They thought they were going to get the three P. year. That's the only thing you have is winning the Super Bowl. They thought wrong. And they thought wrong. As much of a dreamers as Lamar was, I don't think he could have ever imagined this. The odds are slim. That's three feet. All this pressure builds up.
Starting point is 00:54:15 Oh, yeah, baby. And it's an emotional game. Love you, brother. We know that. Win or lose. This team will never be the same. This fall, the kingdom on ESPN. and guess who gets to play in the spoiler.
Starting point is 00:54:32 You're Philadelphia. He goes, I can't wait to watch that and watch Patrick Mahomes and all the boys get upset and cry because their little three Pete special was ruined by the birds. That's going to be a lot of fun. Patrick Mahomes said, winner lose, his team will never be the same.
Starting point is 00:54:48 And they were never going to be the same after that loss. And I look, I'm not one to, again, I know you handle a lot of the scheduling down there at the studios. If we could schedule a live watch party for episode, I'm in. I'm in. I'm there. I'll bring whatever you need me to bring. You know, episode six needs to be on everybody's DVR in the Philadelphia area. That is going to be an unbelievably highly rated show whenever it drops on the SPN.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Very excited to watch that one. I love that they filmed all season, thinking they were getting a three p. And they almost did. And they almost did. Not until, yeah, you got to the final game and then the, and then the birds stomped you. So that's going to be really fun. now the other thing that went viral locally here today i believe eagles nation was the first to put this out i don't know if you've seen this or not yet roy but but a jalen hertz bobblehead has hit the market and yeah geez who is that man roy i don't even know who that is like it looks like an actor i can't put my thumb on um that's a that's that's that's yeah that's clearly a repurposed. I don't even know
Starting point is 00:55:58 what it can even be. That's not Jalen Hurts, not even Donovan McNabb. Like, I'm trying to think of... Is that hanging with Mr. Cooper? You think they went back to the 90s? And they got some old Mark Cooper bobbleheads from the Warriors. I was like, maybe like Mike Epps, the comedian, but like that's all horrible.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Oh my, like yeah, no, you got to go back to the lab on that one. They didn't quite work. I saw that this morning. I was like, what? How did... Like, now, granted, some of these bobbleheads probably get put out on purpose to be bad so that people talk about it and buy it as collectors items. But that is not Jalen Hertz. Not even remotely close to Jalen Hertz. It's like whatever quality control was in that factory.
Starting point is 00:56:40 I mean, you got to fire all those guys. Fire them all. By everybody. I really enjoyed that one a lot today. And then the other big piece of NFL news, I got to share this screenshot with you because when I heard the idea of a Madden movie, by director David O. Russell, like, real Hollywood power behind it. I was like, yeah, all right. Like, I guess I would watch it. I don't think I'm going to, like, sprint to the movie theaters to watch it. And I tell you, Nick Cage is going to be John Madden and Christian Bale is going to be
Starting point is 00:57:12 Al Davis. And then I saw the photo this morning. And I was like, oh, my God, that's them. This casting looks incredible. Yeah, like, the cage is good. Christian Bale, I think he's going to smoke this. I think he's absolutely going to crush this out. Like, because again, he was the same guy.
Starting point is 00:57:32 I forget what movie was. He like lost like 100 pounds or something for that one movie. The machinist or the machinist. I think it was a, yeah, I think the machine is. I don't know. I never saw it. I don't know if it's machinists or machinist. I've heard it both ways.
Starting point is 00:57:44 I don't know. I think he's going to smoke this. Like I really like, you know, that cage is going to be over the top cage. And again, Madden was over the top. So, I mean, that fits. And sure. I think, I think this is going to be really. good like you're right like i i didn't think oh a john madden movie all right whatever but again you get
Starting point is 00:57:59 those two behind it and you get you get the design you know the casting and all that stuff looking like that this this might be a winner this might be a hit yeah i mean never has a photo sold me on a movie so much where i'm like oh damn okay i have interest now all of a sudden yeah um all right before we get out of here briano we do have a super chat to get to and we appreciate whoever that is polar jam what up polar jam uh he said they were both on netflix regardless of the streaming conversation last year. I think it's a rule that the local markets for streaming games have to be aired on local TV. I believe you're right, but I think I read something that this YouTube game might be the first.
Starting point is 00:58:37 I'm sure they circumvented it through some loophole, some pervert billionaire loophole that they just like disregard the common man and they're like, screw them. Yeah, I think the, I think you're right. I think this YouTube game is different from that. Yeah, like all the other games. Well, I guess that's great. Well, is it? Because YouTube's free, maybe there's, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Well, yeah, you need the internet, true. Yeah, yeah. I forget we pay for this stuff. Exactly. You know, like it just comes out of our company. It's such a baked-in cost. Yeah. That's all it was drawn from my check.
