I got to tell you. And I told Anthony this off camera. I remember listening to your radio show when you were telling me the game by game, this was before there was this big bonanza. that you see on television on YouTube. So this is kind of cool for me.

I feel like I'm going back to my youth. That's what that is. Yes. That is so cool. Zach, that's awesome. Thank you. But do you think that also,

I mean, is he sort of trying to make you feel old by doing that? Listen, I'll be honest with you. Is he undercutting it? No, because I'd never really bought being cared about, care about stuff like that.

Okay. You know, like to me, you are what you act, right? Like, so I'm kind of like, have that perpetual.

youthful kind of thing, right? Whereas you are like 65 years old all the time? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I probably act older than I am, right? Yeah, I don't really care about it. At some point you're here to be in the middle. We're here together. First of all, I love this because I love you two.

All right? We don't get a chance to do the three of us. It's always one of us on my show. And I thank you for, and while we're here, I want to thank you for an incredible season. Like you guys. killed it. He just like killed it. It was an amazing season,

a fun season, and you guys were there every day. I love your show. I love your coverage. And I just, I'm so, I love working with you guys. Go ahead. That means a lot coming from you. I would also say we're on the 2025, right?

Right. Yeah, but no, that's true. Yeah, but yeah, no, I, I appreciate. He's looking for a backpad on the draft coverage. Oh, the draft was amazing. I look at the schedule as really the start. This is it. This is the true start of the following season.

Yeah, we put that to bed. Right? Because now the rosters are pretty much, it used to be we had the June 1st free agents. Sure. That was always another thing. But now everybody's pretty much in tow. There'll be a little tweaking here and there.

But really, the roster is set. It's the schedule as the only piece of the puzzle that's truly missing. And it is, it is interesting because, well, first of all, I don't want to go all the way off to the side with the self-congratulations, but we've got to return the favor. Thank you for leading the way. Absolutely. Yeah.

It's been, what a great year it was. My God. And you know what's funny? Zach brings up the radio show. And I truly love tonight. Like, I, guys,

I love it. I love this, for some reason, football makes me happy. Okay. Eagles, they just makes me happy. It's my happy place.

Right? If you ask me, we talk about, like getting older and, you know, wisdom. In fact, I think I love it more than I ever did, right? Like, ever had. I always thought like it was a capacity that I just loved it. I love it even more.

It's a happy place. Okay. It's a great thing. And so when with Zach is saying, like, years ago, before all the fanfare, I used to go to my friendly PR guy and back before Adam Schaefter, when Adam Schaefter was still at the Denver Post or the Rocky Mountain. of them where we used to share information. We used to have a call that NFL beatwriters would call.

We'd have a call and we would. He's not jealous of the information sharing, just the getting to talk to Adam Schaeffner. Like, we used to have a call, right? And like, hey, what do you got on the Eagles? And like I'd say, ah, blah, blah, blah, or back, you know, I was in New York. What do you got on the jets or the Giants or whatever?

And we'd share information. And, hey, what's going on in Denver and Broncos? And Schfter was working for the post or whatever was. and so the PR guy was a guy named Derek Boyko who's in Buffalo now with Shaw McDermott and Derek's from Buffalo

and a huge Sabres fan big hockey fan anyway I love Derek and he was Andy's guy and I would get the schedule and so I went nice to go dogs like coming up

I want to reach a schedule somewhere somewhere like Joe Banner is yelling at Derek Boyko in his mind knowing now that that's how you were getting the schedule

that one He's living somewhere. He used to be saying. Andy gave him the blessing. It really came from Andy. Yeah. But through Derek, right? And Andy gave him the blessing.

I just love it. And I would do it all dramatic. Like thinking I was John Ficenda. Right. And there it is. Veterans Stadium. You know, because this goes back to 2001 when I started.

And we would go through this games. And I loved it because it was a way to kind of look forward to it and mark our territory. And it's interesting. like we know their opponents. For instance, we had, you know, we had the professor on on Tuesday, Danaes, who explained to us very concisely and matter-of-factly that,

like, this is going to be the Eagles most difficult schedule in a very long time. Yes. The slate of opponents that we know is really, really difficult. And yet it's still abstract to me until we get to see how it's laid out. Right. Like, it doesn't feel real until I know exactly what the menu is going to look like.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. How it's going to be played in. Yeah. And all that stuff. And so, yeah, I am very excited to see how it is all laid out. So that's when it becomes real. Yes. I'm so with it.

Like, you're right. We know the opponents, but it doesn't mean anything until you find out the order. Like, orders everything. I want to start with this because I love the fact that we open or the Eagles open with the Cowboys. I just love it. I berated poor Zach on Monday when it came out. I was like, yeah. Eagles, Cowboys.

And there were people going who didn't like it. And I was appalled. How could you not love this moment of Eagles and Cowboys to start the season? Yeah, I don't see how you couldn't like it as an Eagles fan. I made the joke to Zach the other day that like the Eagles need to auction off. Who gets to be the one to like pry Jerry Jones his eyes open to make him watch the banner raising? Like that's what like to be able to rub it in their face. after all the years of Cowboys going rings, rings, rings, like, all right, you sit there and you watch as we lift this up because we are the biggest, baddest team in town.

I think the pushback from people is that there's already so much juice for the season opener, right? And so that whenever there's an Eagles Cowboys game, if it's week three, week five, week eight, there'd be excitement for that. So why kind of, I don't want to say spoil it, but waste it on week one. I think, though, look, you're hanging the back. banner that night. You're on a national stage. It's the, it's the Eagles fan's biggest rival. Um, so it's, it's an awesome way to start the season. It's, it's so good. It's got so much. And you get to look forward to it all summer long. Like it's Eagles Cowboys Countdown. It's something about it that just is, is the greatest. And yes, listen, for years and for, you know,

when we talk about age, you know, they, they, they were. great. I mean, late 70s, when I'm just a little boy, and then 80s and then 90s, when I started to get a little older and they're winning everything. Right. Like, you know, walking around and Philadelphia had scores of Cowboys fans. There was a lot of them. Yeah. And it used to offend me that you were from Philadelphia and you were a Cowboy fan. And it was like, you're the, it's the ultimate betrayal. Like you took the, if we all agree that football is sacred and it means something, that you would choose to not just, I would go be benign and root for the Bengals,

you would root for our biggest rival. That to me is traitorous. It's a heel move. It is. Yeah. No, we really, I mean, I know what we joke about it. We joke about on the air and all, but there's something about that sort of betrayal that I wouldn't want it. I couldn't trust you.

Yeah, I mean, for me, it's like, you know, as a child of the 90s, that there was, there was, there was, don't make yourself sound younger than you are. No, I was a child of the 90. I was born in 1986. You know, I became a sports fan in the 90s. There was, it was the Cowboys, the Yankees, the Bowles, Duke. And then like Florida State, I would say. Yes. Yes.

And if you were into those teams, you were just jumping on the bandwagon. Yes. And like the Cowboys were, it was the ultimate bandwagon team. Like, if you were a Bill's fan, I'd be like, all right, you know, it's a lovable team that comes in second place, right? But the Cowboys was jumping on the bandwagon. It was. And, you know, for all those years, remember, the Eagles were not good.

We had a complex. Like Philadelphia, and I say we, I mean the city, right? And the city had a major complex. I love this new Philadelphia, this new Philadelphia, where, you know, you're expecting to be good in a championship and you're expecting to matter. But forever it was this, it was a place that was haunted. Well, and to me, that's the difference between how you feel after the first Super Bowl

and this last Super Bowl. That first one was more about exercising the demons. Yes. Like, okay, all the people in my life who have ever rooted for the Eagles, this was for them. This was like we finally got over the hump. And there's still, you're still. the little brother. It's just we finally won one. This last team was, we're just the baddest team in football. We're going to punch every team in the mouth. Nobody can handle us. And like,

we have, we have graduated from that mentality and now we are the bullies. Yes, we're the bull. Goes back to the bullies, the Broad Street bullies. Right? Like, there's something profound about having that, and mind you, they're good again. Exactly. Like this schedule, we'll find out. me. I mean, I mean, Vegas has them as the favorite to win the Super Bowl going into the season. Yeah. I'll be honest with you. I don't expect to some big fall off. I don't. I know what happened the last time they got to the Super Bowl, right? And we saw the slide and I get it. And I know there's a new O.C. I think they're real. I think Jalen Carter's real. I think Nolan Smith is real. I think Zach Bond's real.

I think that secondary is real. Well, Cooper and Quinyan and Reed. Doesn't about Reed. Yeah. Yeah. And, you know, I think they're real, right? And I think that's a good young nucleus of a defense. I love Fangio.

And again, that's not counting a season though line, right? A season's Yalen Hertz, great weapons. Like, people go, well, Barclay could be like McCaffrey. I don't think so. Now, I don't know, but I don't think all of a sudden he's going to turn into McCaffrey and be lame the year. It's just, it's all on paper. It's still April or it's still May. And so whatever injury luck they have, whatever, you know, how much more difficult the schedule is,

all of these things that can change, whatever little bit of regression you're expecting from guys who are getting older, things change. We know that. That's what an NFL season is all about. But yeah, on paper, this is as talented a roster as there is in a league, no doubt about. Yeah, I mean, and you bring Goddard back. Yeah. You keep Goddard. Yeah, I mean, it's going to come down to obviously health and playing well,

and playing well late in the season. I think back to the parade and the float or the bus rather that the training staff was on and says 21 of 22 starters healthy for the Super Bowl. What a flex. Yeah, I mean, that is a flex, but that's, you can't necessarily count on that. And they had the best possible outcome for so many players. and there's baked into regression, but the flip side is there's progression

from some other guys, and there's going to be guys who get better. Jalen Carter can be even better. The passing game can be better. It's just, you know, the NFC has some really good teams in it. Like the Detroit Lions, they're a good team, right? And so you look at it, it's something that you have, you know, San Francisco can be better this year.

The Rams have, you know, the Rams have talent. But I do think the Eagles, I think Eagles fans, should be going into this season and that season opener against Dallas feeling like they're the heavyweights as both said. They're the bullies. And it's different than in 2018

because 2018 there was still you know, you didn't know about Carson and they'd lost some pieces. This year you should feel confident that this team is a heavyweight. You notice what team we didn't mention there in the NFC, CUS? Washington. Yeah.

Yes. So this is awesome. Before the show today, So we had a great day today at PHLY. A lot of fun. We're all together hanging around. In fact, we're very excited because tomorrow the exciting mics will debut their podcast, Cooper to Gene and Reed Blankenship.

This is our day today. I literally gave Seekwan an Angelo cheese steak, like a handoff. I did. I went like this. Benjamin Franklin was over there. I go to Sequin.

He was walking out the door. I go, dude, one for the road. He went, his eyes lit up. Yeah. Yeah. You're not going to believe this.

ate it with his quads. He really, I just worked on that. I had him the state. That's how he gets him. Like, here you go, buddy. And it was great, but we had a great day. It felt like a day at Tootshors, right? Yes, yes.

Great reference. He had to Google it for one. That's where I was. I always heard about Toots Shore where all the... I actually wrote about it because I worked in New York. I worked for the post. I always wanted to go to Tuts Shore restaurant. So this guy, Tuts Shore, right?

Tuts Shore was this, like... like bomb vivant kind of character like back then and this was like in the 60s and like back in the day and they he was like they called him a sportsman which meant like he probably was a bookie and they had all kind but they had everybody was there like all the stars of new york the yankees joanameth like all these and they it was a big bar he was like chickies and peats it was like pete's right like and pete would come and the guy would come in and tuts big guy you know the suit and gangsters were there and athletes and showgirls. You know, it was like this whole bygone world.

Yeah, we need the show girls here next time. Yeah, we got everything else. We had Jool.C. We had Jules. We had Jules. We had Jules. There were Phillies, her Phillies flip-flops. And so afterwards,

memorized all their phone numbers. We're hanging out, and we get into this conversation because Vinny is a stirrer, right? He's a bleep star, Vinny. He's our GM here. And he starts talk, but anyway, he starts talking about Washington, how

Washington is not going to be any good, and how David Daniels is going to be a disappointment. Which I was offended by, to be honest with you. I don't think Washington's going to, listen, I think that

the second best team, all right, we'll get to the, in the conference or the division? In the division. I'm a Daniels fan. As a quarterback, I think just the kid's a player. Like, I just I like the way the kid throws the ball, throws a beautiful, I admire that, I love quarterbacks,

I admire that skill. And I think the kid's, I think he's a baller. I am, I am in between here. I love Daniels. I think he is awesome. I think that team is going to take a big step back.

And you know what? You and I are probably in lines. Like I could see it, but I don't like the Cowboys. I mean, when I say I don't like the Cowboys, I don't think the, I do not like Dak Prescott. I was never a Prescott guy.

I think his numbers were blow, it for a he was the ultimate frontrunner like he'd have these big games and and then we start arguing jack like they win 12 games every year Zach's going to be and you're right like and they would have these games where they put up 44 right and he would look great throw for 380 five touchdown gaudy numbers and then he would play a good team and then you'd see him 184 they scored 13 points he'd throw three picks and fumble, right? Like, I saw a lot of those games

where he was horrible. Anyway, you like the Cowboys as the second best team in the division. I do. For the reason you said, is this a team with a track record of before DAC was injured, they won 12 games three years in a row.

I think that they're good on both lines of scrimmage. Their defensive line can be a bit better, but they have a blue chip pass rusher. They have a strong offensive line. They've continued to address that. And I like both their receivers. They have some pieces in the secondary. They're weak in the backfield. Still that way. But I just think they have enough pieces there. Jamarge Hay Williams. Yeah, they just have enough pieces overall.

Your boy, Miles Sanders. Yeah. But you know, if you have, if you have Dak Prescott throwing the ball to C.D. Lamb and George Pickens and you have a decent protection in front of you, you should be able to win eight, nine, ten games. If I can spin us around the league, part of the reason that the Eagles have this schedule that is, according to Dena is the third hardest in the NFL based on projected Super Bowl odds, is that they've got the toughest division in the NFC and the toughest division in the AFC that they have to play all of these three teams, all of these four teams, right? You got the AFC West and then you've got the NFC North, which brings us to a super chat from

Claude who says, I'm just not intimidated by the NFC North. That division was fraudulent last year and remember. Maine's highly overrated, and thank you for all the hard work, boys. How do you feel about that? Wow, Claude, really? I kind of disagree with Claude. Like, I think the North is legit. Yeah.

The Lions were not lucky. They were unlucky. They were a great team, and they got, they were the most unlucky. When you lost your heart and soul pass rusher, right? Then you wind up losing, which people don't even realize, like, half their secondary. like big, big pieces in their defense. Their defense was good. Their secondary.

They had side guys off the street. They're secondary. Then you lose your, didn't they lost their left tackle, their right tackle, and they lost their running back for, for, not Gibbs. Yeah, Montgomery. They lost Montgomery up until the end. And he came back for the playoff game. I thought that was going to be week one.

I thought that was going to be, because it was the game that we all thought we were going to get last year. And we didn't get it. Maybe it kicks off. Yeah, I agree. I kind of thought that's what they were going to do. Not the case. Maybe it'll be in practice.

But I like the North. I think the Packers are. I agree with Jack. I think the Packers are good. I like love. Do you worry about the loss of Ben Johnson for the Lions? No. No.

I don't. I think it'll help the Bears. But no, I don't. How about the Vikings? And what depends on McCarthy. Yeah. You know, I mean. I like McCarthy.

You know, I do too. I think they're going to be good. I mean. And I trust. Get receiver? I love Kevin McConnell. I do. I think he's terrific.

So I like the North. So that makes this get to... I think the North is the best division in the other. I think it's close. Yeah. Yeah. What do you think about the Bears? I think they'll be better.

I mean, you know, I mean, I look at Caleb Williams and I go, I know he can throw to football. I know he can. Now, can he put together the whole package? Fair to ask. He's protected more, which they work. to make sure.

Decent coaching, right? He's got an offensive-minded coach, a bright coach, right, who likes to run the football. Yeah. Because that's what we saw from the Eagles, the whole league's going to do. Everybody's going to run the football. Like, it's back.

The run game is back in a big way. But just when you think that's the case, then the past game comes back. Well, the Eagles, in your minds, right? Yeah. The Eagles are going to throw the ball more. I think so. I think so.

I think part of it is, taking a little bit less or taking a little bit more off of Sequin's plate. And I also think part of it that we've talked about is kind of like the human dynamics of, okay, AJ and Devante took a little bit of a backseat last year. We need to feed those guys again. They want the ball. We know they want the ball. And like that is the way that the Eagles can counter what I would expect to be

how they're attacked defensively this year is put the ball a little bit more in Jalen's hands. I mean, I just want to see them throw the ball downfield a little bit more, which they weren't doing the second half of last season. And I think I do expect that that would be the case. Yeah. I could totally see that, guys. I can totally see it. We have a super chat from Brandon

the Monday night against the Packers in Green Bay. And by the way, when we go through the schedule, our good friends of Philly Sports trips, they're going to have packages everywhere. We're going to do a fun thing with these guys. We're going to let the people tell us where to go and you're going to get a chance to win a trip. All right? We're very excited about the people of Phillies. Part of the fun of being a fan when the schedule comes out is, okay, which road trip do I want to make? If you're making a road trip, you've got to go to Philly Sports Trip. That's a place to do it. I'll also say, is, don't it.

Yeah, I've been to Lambo about five times. It is hard to get to on your own, right? I mean, there aren't a lot of hotels. There aren't a lot of flights. If you go with a group like Philly Sports trips, they take care of all of that for you. They get you there. They put you up. It's the best road trip to go on with Philly Sports trips because they take it all out of your hands.

Zach and I once had a beautiful. a very romantic drive from Appleton to... No, Madison. Madison. Yeah, we flew in the Madison. On the green bed. He slept on me.

I'm driving. That's not having. But no, I had a big burger. Thanks for the milkshake. Thanks for the hell. Milkshake for lunch. But if you want to... Yeah.

So I had... Someone had to do the hard work. One of my best friends lived in Appleton. And so Vinnie. Not a lot of Vinny's in Appleton. And I used to go. It sounds like a witness protection. I used to go see him, really.

And I used to go see him every summer. And I would spend weeks. I'd spend, so I would do like the camps. I used to do the cheese lead and go from camp to camp in Wisconsin. Because at one point, there were five NFL, six NFL teams that trained in Wisconsin. So I used to go make the rounds. Kansas City, I think, was in River Falls. There was, when it was through Green Bay, Chicago was in,

oh that it was right one of the Iowa border oh I was horrible oh I used to go there I used to hate it um you just say these dorms that were uh were terrible but there the saints were there was saints were there was fun but that drive I've made that drive several times if people want to do that this year now you should go to philly sports shirts but if you want to go to madison this year there's a Wisconsin Washington game on the Saturday before the is back is yeah that's awesome you can see how Roseman's old housemate Jetfish coach the Huskies there. That's cool, man. You think there are any fans that we're going to go to the game for the sole purpose

of being like, hey, that guy used to live with Howie Roseman. You never know. People love Howie here right now. That's right. That's right. Philadelphia of the year. Yeah. Most valuable Philadelphia.

Yeah. All right. Then we know Eagles at Green Bay Monday, November 10th. We know Eagles, Bears at home on Black Friday. I love this Black Friday thing. The Black Friday rules. Yeah, give me the Thanksgiving with the family. Don't interrupt that for an Eagles game.

And then the next day when everybody's off anyway, we get an Eagles game at home. That's fantastic. Are you kidding me? 3 o'clock 2. Right in the middle of the afternoon. Love it. I mean, wow, that's like fantastic. It's great.

And then we know Eagles at Washington the Saturday, December the 20th. And there are some rumors out there about the other time that the Eagles are going to play the commanders, which would be very interesting if it's true, which we'll find out in a couple minutes. Okay. What do you think about Eagles?

First of all, do you like the late Saturday game, the December Saturday games? You know what? I don't, actually, yeah. I mean, I like football any day of the week, if I'm being honest with you. But Saturdays, I don't mind as much. It doesn't disrupt your routine,

especially if it's a trip to Washington. It's not too bad. You want to, you know, you hope that you get to benefit on the other side of it. Saturday is probably better for the players than Friday, but I do love Black Friday as well. Any day there's football, sign me up. You also like a deal, though? A Black Friday deal? Yeah. Well, yeah. I mean, yeah. I didn't know you were a Black Friday deal guy. I'm just a deal in general, right? Like, yeah. Anytime I can get something 60% up. He's like doing the Scattery reports ahead of time on what the deals are going to be on Black Friday.

Yeah. I'll be honest for you. I love Black Friday for this reason. my wife and my mother will all go shopping on Black Friday, right? Like they still go. Even though they do most of their stuff online, still go shopping. And I'm just college football, right? I just, I'm home. Yeah. And it's, you know, I don't do anything.

It's Thanksgiving. We run around. We do a turkey bowl. But, man, I love Black Friday. It's a great day. It's like I'm off. And all I want to do is watch football. Now you get to do it.

The Eagles, hold. Are you kidding me? It's fantastic. It really is great. We are, guys, we are one minute away. One minute away. In the meantime, we have another super chat. The schedule.

From Anthony who says, how much do you think the total travel miles for the season has an impact on teams? He saw that the Eagles have the 22nd most travel miles this season. Yeah, I actually don't think that factors in as much as the sequence of games, right? Like if, you know, the Eagles traveled to Brazil last year, then they had time on the back end to, if, if you're traveling back to back, the back, that wears on the players bodies more than just going across country and, and coming back. When I talk to players about it, it's like if there's a stretch of like three straight flights, that really wears on them. There you go.

I didn't think that they would have this many one o'clock games. Yeah. I'm stunned. We'll get there, but it's very surprising. All right. So, but this is not a, Eagles Rams is a one o'clock game? You get, you get the West Coast team coming east for a one o'clock game. That's a nice little advantage. Why is that a one? That should be a four o'clock game. It should be a primetime game. Right.

That's the remix of the snow game. What are we doing? So real quick, that Chiefs games, Fox, the Rams game Fox as well. Wow, so the Chiefs games is Fox game. Deep's games, Fox. Why would the Rams be a one o'clock game? That's crazy to me.

Yeah. Yeah. You're right. Mountain standard time. I mean, you're looking at it. This is you would think this is the easiest game of the first five games. I got to believe. But listen, Devers is good.

I like Bo Neffers fine. Yeah. I hear you. I'm not scared about Knicks. I got you. Eagles Giants is the Thursday. Thursday night. Amazon Prime game.

You like that? Yeah, I mean, as you see here, they play the Giants twice in three weeks. I don't love that. But, yeah, I mean, the Giants is the easiest game on the Eagles schedule, I think, overall. I think that's the worst team Eagles play this year. Yeah. And then Eagles at Minnesota, that's a one o'clock game?

Yeah, so noon there. For Zach, that's the one that he was looking for. Yeah. Why is that a one o'clock game? Yeah, so it's noon central. But that's a shout out to my sister. She's getting married that weekend. but yeah

as Phillies Yankees World Series. And we're going to have the same thing like it happened in 2009. I have a different prediction. What do you got? The Giants will have a different head coach in that game than they did two weeks prior. Wow. That's a bow prediction.

That's a bow prediction. I like it. And then a week nine by. You can't get better than the week nine. But again, we made this point last year like, oh man, the week five by, that is like that is a killer. Like that's the last thing you want. want. That's the only thing you care about with this schedule comes out. And it turned out to be

a gift for the Eagles and gave them what they needed. And so what do we what do we really know? True. But you know the I mean having a week nine by feels good. I agree. This feels right. You come out of the buy and then you actually get an extra day too because you don't love. You don't want that. No you don't want to waste your extra day on coming off the buy. Agreed. You're at Green Bay. It's the game we told you about Monday, November 10th. And it's sure. be a little chilly and green bat's a good time to go yeah not but not like uh debilitating bitter right right right right uh eagles lions sunday november 16th and that's a sunday night football game this is the only scheduled sunday night football game for the eagles how can that

could be flexed in but this is the only one how could the super bowl champs get only one sunday night football game yeah it's the thursdays the saturdays the fridays they they're get those slots, yeah, and the two Mondays. So they have a lot of national slots, but they don't have those, that's Sunday night slot, which is tough because I prefer the, from the, like, I prefer the cadence of football on Sundays. Yeah, I like the Sunday night football.

I'm shocked. Um, all right. So that's a great game though. That's week 11, November 16th. Wow. And then Eagles at Dallas, November 23rd. That is a 425 game. That's a Fox game?

It is a Fox game, yep. And that's the Thursday, that's the Sunday before Thanksgiving? Yes, that is the Sunday before Thanksgiving. All right. And then Eagles Bears on Black Friday, right? Because that's Black Friday. Amazon Prime. Right, on Amazon Prime.

Then they get a little another mini buy week. Yes. Another one where their only other Monday night game comes after playing early in the week. Yes. Yeah. And this is a great game. This is the L.A. Chargers on Monday and football.

Yeah, seeing so... This is Zach's favorite place on Earth. SoFi Stadium is an awesome place to see games. I like this Chargers team, but I actually think that this is a chance for the Eagles to send a message against the hardball coach team similar to what they did around the same time

of the year last year against the Ravens. Yeah, that's a great point. I feel like I'm on the selection show right now. I'm like trying to get them. That's a great. It is a great tidbit right there. Great point. And then Eagles Raitis

He did the booth with Ohio State last year. Yeah, but before that, he had been a head coach going back to, you know, going back to 2013. So he's a head coach for a decade before that, yep. That's the game that Howie's got circled on his calendar. Oh, yeah. Howie's going to open up a can on that game. Are you kidding me? He's going to barge into the booth.

Yeah. I should win one for Howard. Yeah, chips. Head phone, head thing's not going to be working. It's going to be. We see Howie the press box that game. Yeah. Yeah, dude.

Chip's stuck in the elevator. I'll never forget the look when I met. This is shortly after he gets demoted. So the first year to go to the playoffs against the Saints, right? And Chip is feeling strong. And Chip basically tells Jeffrey Lurie he's got to go, right, banish him. And Jeffrey Lurie. It was after the second year.

For the second year. Yeah. And that was the first year, he still had, he still. had, Howie still was the GM, but they used to mud heads, and Chip, Chip did not treat him well. And the second year, because they made the playoffs and Chip thought he was king, he got, he got him demoted. It was after the year that they didn't make the playoffs. It was, so they make the playoffs the first year.

Then what happens is there's the draft, the Marcus Smith draft, where the reports are that like, you know, Howie had six guys targeted. Yeah. They go boom, boom, boom, boom, six in a row. They have to balloon down. and Chip used that as the impetus for we, I need to take over because they, they wore 10 and 6, but didn't make the playoff. Right.

Right. Wow. So it was the third year? It was the second year. Right. It was after the second year when how he lost the power. Right. That's what I thought.

But they've been budding heads throughout year two. And then. I know year one they were budding heads. Yeah. Yeah. First of all, I do know this for a fact that Chip said to Jeffrey, no, I don't want him. And Jeffrey fought for him. Right. And while Gus Bradley was in the other room at Jeffrey's house.

Yeah. You know, so I noticed for a fact because I told you the story. Which is a different situation than when Josh McDaniels was at Jim Ursay's house and Jim Ursay was in a different room doing something else. Right. Thanks for getting that. That's great. I told you the story, right, with the Gus Bus and Gus Bradley. I probably told you, Zach, about how. how, so it was butchy, I think. Butchie, I don't think it was Don. And people are getting fired up. And, and Dom's like, dude, he's loving it. Like, he's like, you know, he's feeling like a king. I feel so horrible because he gets to Jeffrey's house and it's all good. Like, they're about to do the deal. Yeah. And Jeffrey gets a text and he goes into the kitchen.

And it's, it's, uh, Chip. Chip. And Chip says, I'll take the job. And then Jeffry's like, oh, man, I got to do this. Chip Kelly, because he was the white whale. Yeah, everybody's white whale. Of course. Joe Bader wanted them.

They were wound each other. And he said, I'll take the job. But he goes, and he says, well, I don't want Howie around. And Jeffrey went, no. Howie stays. Yeah. And he went, all right. And that's, so fast forward to that time when there was bad blood.

But I remember how he just, he just was bummed out. Like, he just looked. Sure. You know, you can imagine. So this game on November, on Saturday, December. Yeah, absolutely. Bad blood. 14th.

He's going to want to destroy that team. You know my funny story about that day, not to make the show about that? We were at the shrine game. I was working for the Eagles website. Right. Right. And I was with Fran was there. as well. And we wanted to record a couple

videos for like just when the announcement gets made, who's the head coach? So we're like, we're staying at this place on the beach in St. Petersburg. We film this thing on the beach. It's recorded. We're like, all right, Gus Bradley has been named the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. What do you guys think? All this stuff. And

Adam Kaplan was staying at the same hotel. And he overheard our recorded video just in case. And so he goes to Twitter and he's like, I guess it's already out there but Gus Bradley is an eagle set of code. No, we need. Are you serious?

Again, watch it. So you go. I hate this. At Washington, at Buffalo, home Washington. I hate this.

That's tough. Yeah. You've got these two teams who played in the NFC championship game last year. These division rivals, they're not playing until week 16 and you're getting the two and three weeks. I agree. I agree. I don't like it. You're relying on on both of these teams, you know, fighting for the division,

but they don't play earlier and earlier in the season, the Eagles, playing the Giants twice in three weeks. You couldn't have just flipped one of those two games? I was just about this in a series to you guys. They play week six and eight against the Giants. Yeah. And week 16 and 18 against Washington. Just switch to those.

Exactly. What the hell? Yeah. Why would you do? Why? Yeah. I hate that. It's like when you're doing the wins and losses, you had a win here and a loss there and yeah. I agree with you. It's terrible. I agree with you. I don't like it. I don't really not in love with the schedule. So some big picture thoughts.

Yeah. No back-to-back home games in the entire schedule for the Eagles. It's a bit of a staccato. There are two back-to-back-back-road games. Wow. Home road. No back-to-back home games the entire season. As we said, six one o'clock games.

We should say the Eagles are faring pretty well schedule-wise on their short weeks. They only have two weeks. in which they are going on the road on a short week, and both of those two games are New York and Washington. So they're not getting on a plane on a short week for any game. Oh, wow. Look at that. Now, this is interesting, too, because only one Sunday nighter,

so that means when's the flex start? Mid-November? Yeah, so I have that here. So the flex scheduling begins week five to 10. So you can be flexed to Sunday night football twice between weeks 5 and 10 At the NFL's discretion between weeks 11 and 17 And for Monday night football it's at the NFL's discretion in weeks 12 to 17 For Thursday night football you can be used twice weeks 13 to 17

Long way of saying there's a lot of flexibility obviously from the league But starts week five when games can be flexed So theoretically Eagles Denver could be flexed Sure Well Eagles Minnesota should be flexed that's a real possibility. I would hope, yeah. That would be good for you.

Yes. But that's a real possibility. All right. So tell me this, because now that we have it laid out, you've got Kansas City in September. You've got Tampa in September. That's probably not going to be your answer. You've got Minnesota in October,

Green Bay in November, Dallas in November, L.A. in December, and Buffalo in December. If you are an Eagles fan, you want to go to one game this year. Wow, that's great. That's fantastic.

Part of me would love to do that. end of December. That's a fun one. You know, the problem is like a little too cold. Well, yes. And the other problem is it's over the holidays. Yeah, exactly. That's why L.A.

That's, uh, that's, that's a great weekend, dude. Yeah. So I always eye up the college football. There were a few scouts who used to be with the team who I would see them in these press boxes to Saturdays before games.

Yeah, that's the best. How about Jack? How about what's the best if there's an Eagles fan who was only looking to find the best food city they can go to? What's your answer? Well, I mean, L.A. has everything, right? So that's the good thing about L.A., every type of food. Minnesota, Minneapolis has some really good restaurants downtown. If you like barbecue, you got to go to Kansas City.

Andy Reid will give you a really good recommendation there. Not as into Green Bay for the food. No, cheese curds, man? Not a big cheese curds, man. Yeah. And then Buffalo for the wings, if you want. So give me one answer. L.A.

L.A. Yeah. The Buffalo thing is interesting, though. Yeah. Hey, guys, this is something that's, they've got a buy week. and we talked about the fact that they're playing a Monday after the buy. But they play four games in 18 days in November.

And at Green Bay, home lions, at Dallas, home bears. That's nasty. That is. And that's a nasty stress. Not ideal. Yes. So that's really, that's the stretch of the schedule when you go Green Bay, Detroit, Dallas, Chicago, the Chargers.

That's a five game. Now, you're right about the four games in 18 days. It's tough. When you add in the Chargers in there, too, you're probably seeing three teams that are in the top ten in Super Bowl odds in Green Bay, Detroit, and the Chargers are around there.

Dallas and Chicago are, you know, teams that have to have some hype going into the year in terms of teams that can be better. So that's probably the toughest stretch that the Eagles have. But I do think that relative to two years ago, when it was all clustered.

You know, they had that stretch of death, that five-game span. We knew the Eagles were going to play a bunch of really good teams this year. It is spread out a little bit. Like you've got, you've got the Chiefs and the Rams before the buy, and those are back-to-back. But none of those other pre-buy teams are that scary. Well, too, Chiefs, France, Buckingham? Tampa's good.

Tampa is good. Tap is got a, I think they're more than. That's a tough three-game stretch. I like Baker. It's not killing me. And then Green Bay. Bucky Irving? Detroit, and even then it's Dallas, it's the Chargers.

I think it's spread out kind of nicely, and then you don't get Buffalo until week 17. So to me, you get the giant thing helps, right? Yes. So you get the two giant games. But yeah, I think you, I think you're sleeping on Denver a little bit.

Not, I mean, if the Eagles can't beat Denver at home, then, well, I know, I'm not giving you like, fire everybody. I'm fearful they're going to lose. it's a beat up game. You get beat up. Like you got, I mean,

Chiefs, Rams, Tampa, Denver, that's not easy. I mean, any given Sunday. Yeah.

Yeah, my biggest gripe with the schedule is not as much the sequencing. It's how it's laid out in terms of as, as,

as both said earlier, when you have these long weeks after the by week after the Friday game, then you have Monday games following those. So it's like you don't actually need that extra day.

And then it hurts you on that back end because, because then it's a truncated schedule. So, for instance, they play Monday night against the Chargers, right? So you don't like a Monday night game on the West Coast. They're not getting back home until like 6 a.m. on Tuesday. And now you have to turn around and you got Vegas that following Sunday. So it's not kind of ideal the way it's laid out there.

Yeah, I don't think that the Eagles would have too much of a gripe with the fairness of the schedule. Yeah. That is a little bit of a thing. But you get all these West Coast teams coming at 1 o'clock. That makes up for it. That's an advantage. I just, my gripe is just like,

what the hell? With the giants and the commanders, I agree. That stands out in neon. It's Asinan. Yeah, that's crazy. All the one o'clock games stand out.

My buddy, Tuts, he's like, I love the one o'clock games. I, I freaking hate them. It's like, I like to look forward to them.

I'm a morning guy. I'm a morning guy. I'm a morning guy. I'm a morning guy. I'm a morning guy. I like the one o'clock games because it gives me a chance to write. It gives me a chance to the kind of flex money. I agree because you get the deadline.

That's why when I was writing about the team, I hated the four o'clock games. Because one o'clock means that I got a little bit of time to write afterwards. Four o'clock, I'm still staying up until, you know, four or five in the morning. So I might as well just get the whole day at home with the family before the prime time game. Yeah. I don't want to split the difference. I just never liked the one o'clock games.

I always thought, and for a team of the Eagles elk to be playing at one is I think they're slumming it. Yeah. Now, I expect those, I expect a few of those to be flexed. So what's the flexed? So Minnesota maybe? Yeah, I can see Minnesota being flexed. I could see the Dallas game on November 23rd being flexed. Wait, that's a one o'clock game.

It's a 425 game. Yeah, they could move that to 8. It might be protected. But some of those get, yeah, but some of four, yeah. Yeah, some might be protected. But yeah, Denver, Minnesota. are two games that stand out as potential flex games. Let's talk about the most important.

How about the Rams? How do I get the Rams at home? Yeah, and that can't be flex. And that can't be flex either because that's that's week three. So that's that's advantageous for the Eagles. Wow. Let's talk about the most important angle here. Eagles fans is one thing.

This is the most important day of the year for Emily Berman. I think this is a pretty good schedule for Emily Berman. There's no, there are no stretches of long road trips. No, but there's no like three. consecutive home game. So my bag's always packed by the door. Yeah. That's what she's going to say. But yeah, she can't tell them. He always got one foot in one foot out. Wow. Yeah. Also, just for the true sickos out there who, who, you're out of your, my cousin. My cousin, my cousin watches loves, loved your show. And how he loves the dynamic between you two. Except sometimes he goes,

all right, Bo, enough. I'll talk to to them. Yeah. All right, Bo. Yeah. Yeah, I say that too. Yeah, so the preseason schedule for those who really want to know this. If you never cross the line, how do you know where the line is? The preseason schedule, they play Cincinnati. They start the preseason August 7th a Thursday night against Cincinnati. The second preseason games on one o'clock game against the Cleveland Browns. Eagles will practice against Kevin Stefansky and the Browns leading up to that. So maybe we can get hopefully Stefanski will be a guest on Anthony's show that week.

because he's in town for three, four days leading up to that. Oh, finally we get the preseason finale with the Jets. Then the preseason finale Friday, August 22nd against the New York Jets. One o'clock, Dallas at Washington. Christmas? Yes. Dallas, Washington. Dallas gets another, Oh, so, oh, this is, this is the first time in a very long time. But this is the first time in a very long time that Dallas will have an actual short week Thursday road game. Because they always get the home game for Thanksgiving.

So the one time the league is making them do that. Now I'm going to see them on Christmas. Oh, come on. 4.30. I hate that. 4.30. Detroit at Minnesota. Wait a second.

I just see the lines all day Thanksgiving. I see the wine for Christmas. That's true. That's true. That's probably why we did it. I hate this. Yeah. It's a good point.

This is bad. And then the prime time game, you know, the chiefs, they want to own Christmas. Oh. They want to lean into the red and white. They want to be the Santa. And you know what they have. Then you get the Sunday nighter, great Sunday nighter, Ravens Bills.

Oh, that's a great game. And then the Monday nighter is Vikings Bears. Wait, there's no double header on Monday? No double header. Lions Packers is not as a primetime game we've done. That's interesting. No double header? No double header.

Are you ready double-headers? It might be week two here because week one, they have there is a double-header week two. Yep. Okay, good. Week two, I'll give you the, I'll give you the prime time games. Yeah. So Thursday night is commanders at Packers. All right.

Then you've got Sunday night Falcons at Vikings. Then you've got a double header on Monday. Bucks at Texans, Chargers at Raiders. Oh, that's great. I like this one because they're not doing, they're not doing the staggered one. This is a 7 o'clock and a 10 o'clock. Love it. Love it. I love the seven and the ten. Week three. Did you get the staggered at all? I didn't understand the staggered.

I could get like two hours, but the full half time, like there should never be a... No, I don't think the game's going at same time. That's horrible. Week three, Thursday night is dolphins at Bills. Eh, I hate the... Sunday night. Chiefs at Giants. Who cares? Why are the Giants playing on a Sunday night? The third week of the season? Yeah, that's a stinker. That's terrible. And then Monday night is Lions at Ravens.

That's a good one. That's a great game. Lions at Ravens is a great game. Already I smell too much Kansas City and too much Dallas. Week four? Yeah, that's the NFL this year. Yeah. Thursday night is Seahawks at Cardinals.

That's a good game. Sunday night. Sunday night Packers at Cowboys. Again, Dallas. Week four, though. Who are they? Why is Dallas getting this sort of? of coverage.

Yeah, but they got to get them in early in case they're bad. They got to get their ratings grab early with the cabboys. Oh, my God. They're not good. Sorry, Zay. Monday night, this is the staggered.

You got a 715 jets at dolphins, and then an 815 Bengals at Broncos. The Super Bowl favorite Denver Broncos. It was a bust my balls. The DNVR is going to love that. The NVR career is going to love it. They're calling them Super Bowl contenders at the DMVR show. Listen, they had no chance.

I mean, listen, you got Kansas City, the charges. Like, I like them. Like, I think they're good. But, I mean, run off the bat, you're third at best. Because I like the charges better than them. Yeah, I was watching a DMR show. I was watching DMR show. They were saying that the Broncos have the best defense in the league.

Sunday. See, real quick, the Niners. You like the nine? I don't think the nineers is going to be good. They have the easiest schedule in football by a wide margin.

Because of that division. And they're going to get some, they're going to get some injury luck. I think they're going to be a playoff team. Okay. All right. Week 5, Sunday night, Patriots at Bills.

Patriots on Sunday night football? What am I missing? Yeah, I think the bills are the draw there is my guess. I know, but Sunday night football. Yeah. Can they flex you? I guess you build in. What week is this?

Drake May is good. Five. Five. No, they can't. Or, yeah, five through ten. Is that okay?

No, I'm asking you. Is it six through ten or five through six? Yeah, I think it's, I think it's after week five. Oh, God. We've got to watch the freaking,

This makes no sense this schedule. I hate this schedule. Week six, Eagles Giants is Thursday night. Sunday night is Bears at command. Listen, you got Rams. You got all these teams and they go Eagles Giants for prime time? What kind of sense is that? I agree.

Sunday night is a good one, but it is another Chiefs game. Lions at Chiefs. Oh, my God. It's your guy, Andy. I love him. I mean. Do you want to see him? And then Monday is another staggered doubleheader.

715 bills at Falcons, 815 bears at commanders. So that's three? Three of them. But two of them are the one hour apart. Okay. I don't like that. Week 7, Thursday night, Steelers at Bengals. That's a good game.

Sunday night. Falcons at Niners. All right. I don't like that. Monday night, we got a seven and a 10. They go back to the split. They're going to a Monday night double headers. That's fabulous.

Bucks at Lions, the early game. Texans at Seahawks. By the way, a lot of Detroit too. Yes. A lot of Detroit, a lot of Kansas City. Also got to get them early before their limbs fall on. Really? You're right.

Week 8, Thursday night, Minnesota Vikings at the Chargers. Okay. It's a good little Thursday night game. It does feel like the third. Thursday night games are a little bit better than the dog poop that they have been for a long time. Sunday night, week eight, Packers at Steelers, Blue Bloods. Yeah. And then Monday night, commanders at chiefs.

Oh my God, Kansas City. That's like 10 in the first eight weeks. Week nine when the Eagles are on their by. Thursday night, they can watch Ravens at Dolphins. Sunday night. Seahawks at commanders. Monday night, Cardinals at, Cowboys.

Woof. Another Dallas. Anytime you can see a Jonathan Ganon team, you want to do it. Dude, what are they looking? What are they saying? I got to count up the Dallas,

Kansas City, Detroit, primetime games. They're getting more than the Eagles. Eagles are actually an interesting team. Yeah, I hear you there. You're going to hate Thanksgiving

that Cowboys Sheep's game. You're going to throw the turkey at this set the screen. Oh, my. No. All right, what else? Week 10. Thursday night, the Las Vegas Raiders travel to take on

the Super Bowl favorite Denver Broncos. Sunday night, Steelers at Chargers. That's a good game. The Najee Harris Bowl. And then Monday night is Eagles at Packer. Week 11, Thursday night. This is now this is a classic Thursday night game in the mold of who's going to watch this.

Jets had Patriots. I will watch it. Yeah. That's what's going to watch it. Sunday night. Oh, why, his Lions, Eagles. Monday night, you're going to love this one because Cowboys at Raiders.

Oh, my God, again. Every night, what it? How many Monday nights? I feel like you're playing every Monday night. Oh, my God. Week 12, Thursday night. This is Joe. This is Troy.

In fact, Jules heard me. I was talking to a friend of mine as a producer, film producer in L.A. And the subject of Belichick comes up and he says to me,

hey, by the way, he goes, I was in a meeting with them. I said, with who? He goes, Belichick and his girlfriend. He goes, I didn't know. He goes, this was like five, six months ago. And he goes, we were talking about a potential Belichick movie. And he goes, I thought that she was his publicist. or like, you know, something like that.

Cowboys at Lions. I can. again. This is the Detroit, Dallas, Kansas City League. Well, just, just do you wait because the Sunday night are Texans at Chiefs. Then Monday night as Eagles at Chargers.

Week 15. Thursday night, Falcons at Bucks. The scheduled Sunday night game, Vikings at the Dallas Cowboys. Oh my God. And then Monday night dolphins at Steelers. Can we count these up?

Yeah, so I have it here, actually. If you want, the Chiefs have seven primetime games this year. The Cowboys and the Eagles are next with six. And then it's the Bill's Falcons, Niners, Packers, Lions tied for five. But the Eagles primetime games are on these little islands. Yes, exactly. Normal, you're not in a normal, original Sunday, Monday night's night. Why would the Cowboys deserve six primetime games?

anybody have zero? Yeah, three teams have zero. The Cleveland Browns, the Tennessee Titans, and the New Orleans Saints. They're not even on a Thursday night? No. I thought everybody had to play on Thursday. The amazing thing is the Patriots have three.

I thought every team had to play on Thursday night. How many of the Giants have? That's crazy. The Giants have three as well. Giant stick. I mean, you know. Yeah, I'm surprised the Jags have, you know, the Jags only have one.

I mean, my son wants to Travis Hunter. You know, Travis Hunter, Travis Hunter's like, Travis Hunter's got some juice. So here's the whole thing. How many international 10 a.m. games are there? Or 9 a.m. There's a good amount of them. I wasn't, I wasn't reading.

Yeah, so there are eight international games this year, and seven of them are in Europe, and all the Europe games are morning games. They're the 9 a.m. Yeah, they're 9 or 10, 9. Nine, I believe. Thereabouts. And then, uh,

Dublin there is a Dublin there is a Dublin there is a Dublin game that's the Viking Steelers then there's there's London London London a lot of Guinness goes on that weekend Germany and Madrid. That's pretty good. I'm sorry, there are seven international games, not eight,

seven international games this year. So that is... So the European games are Dublin, Madrid, Berlin, Berlin. Three London's. Okay. And then a South Palo in Brazil. How soon until we have a full slate of international games every week?

I'm guessing by the next CBA. So the CBA, so the CBA expires in 31. So, but they're, they're going to try to get the 18th game in before then. But my guess is by the next CBA, there will be a full slate of international games. So we already know there's an Australia game next year in 26. Right. Is Jordan Mayelada we talked about? Yeah, but the Eagles won't be in that at this point because the Rams are hosting it.

And the Eagles actually host the Rams next year. And Jeffrey Lurie said the Eagles are not giving up an international, are not giving up a home game to play in Australia. Okay. So I could see the Eagles going there in 27, not 26. Okay. So which will be awesome. Have you ever been? I've never been to Australia.

I have. Did a semester abroad in Australia. Jamie Lynch, too. He, like, lived there. Yeah. I did a journalism conference there. You did? I did.

What do you get them losing? I thought we weren't. I thought we weren't. We're doing Ws and L's. I'm just giving you the pack. You're giving me two and two. Two and two. That's how you get to the Super Bowl as far as I'm concerned. That's what I learned last year.

I got three and one. Who's your loss to Kansas City? Tampa. Tampa, okay. You love Tampa. I don't, but I think they're going to, I think they're going to beat the Chiefs again. I do.

I think it's a statement. I just think, I think they buried Dallas. I think they beat the Chiefs again. I think they beat the Rams. Then I think there's a little bit of a comment. I change it. I'm going 4 and 0. I like you.

at the end of this stretch. So 4 and 1 during this stretch. I have the loss coming at the Vikings. 3 and 1 and 3. Yeah, the Vikings went 8 and 1 at home last season and 8 and 1 at home in 2022. So this is a team that that's tough to beat there.

Lexon Sunday right there. That's great. I got him three and one, so there's seven and one through eight games. Obviously, the only loss coming to. You have five and three. Well, the only loss, I think I'm going to have him finishing 16 and one. Only loss of those dangerous, dangerous Denver Broncos. You rap, master.

All right, I would agree with Zach, three and one. So we both have six and two. You got a five and three. Yeah. All right. Buy week. Now, at Packers. Lions at Cowboys,

home bears. Yeah, so I have them 8 and 4 at the end of the stretch, so 2 and 2 during the stretch. I have the losses sandwiched by the 2 wins. So I had them losing to Detroit and losing to Dallas. Interesting thing about that

Dallas game. Last year, opponents were 6 and 11 in the week after playing against the Lions. That's a team that they were like the Ravens. Remember the Ravens? That was a stat. When you played the Ravens the week after you always lost. And then the Eagles and Cowboys have split in nine of the past 12 seasons. I love this.

I love, I love Seth. I always want to be like Seth. Thank you, Seth. Seth and I left the athletic the same time. I was like trying to make him. Yes. One and three.

One and three? You know what you need to go through a little adversity. So you got them at six and six? Yeah, why not? One and three. Who are they losing to? The Packers, the Lions, and the Cowboys. Oh, my God.

All right. You got a 2 and 2. You got 1 and 3. I got, I'm going to go 2 and 2. I think they lose to Lions and Green Bay. Okay. I don't see after a buy. I mean, hell with it, 3-1.

All right? Because they're not losing the Cowboys. They're going to take both games against Dallas. Okay. Just like they did last season. Yeah. That's good. That's Seth Davis. I like it. All right. Final four, well, final five at the Chargers, home Raiders, at Washington, at Buffalo, home Washington, the end of seasons. Yeah. So I have them finishing the year 12 and 5. So that means they go 4 and 1 in this stretch. The loss comes to Buffalo in this period there. Buffalo is 12 in 1 in December in the past three seasons. So that's a team that's tough. late in the year. The question here is week 18, if

the Eagles aren't playing for anything, that could be their backup. So maybe 11 and 6, if they're playing their backups here against Washington, I think they're playing for something in that season finale. So I have them going 12 and 5. All right, 12 and 5. Now, here's the deal. Bo has them right now at 6 and 6.

They are on the brink of not making the playoffs. If this team 6 and 6 and 6 heading into week 13, this fan base is going to be worried. Look at that face. Five and O. Yeah.

All right. There you go. This is the reverse collapse. This is the reverse of how they did after last year's last year. Listen, I like it. I like your, I like how you're thinking. All right.

Five and O. So you got them 11 and 6. Yeah. All right. I'm going to go three and two. Losses at Buffalo and at the charges. So are you ready to go? playoffs.

I do. I have him losing to the Denver Broncos. He shut that punchline well. Yeah, I don't know about saying, you know, I, I guess NFC championship game right now. It's hard to get back to the football. You don't think they're going to go to the Super Bowl. No, I don't think they're going to go to the Super Bowl. Yeah.

Listen, here's the thing about this. It's May and this is all fun and all the stuff. It's impossible. Like the Lions at points during the season last year, first of all, if you just look at the Eagles last year, and before the by week, we were wondering if Syriani was going to get fired. I mean, that was very real.

Belichick's at NFL films in Mount Laurel. He's putting up the Belichick bat sign. Right. He's yelling at people. I mean, like, it was crazy, right? Like, there was, you know, he's got his Britney Spears. Right. Like, a shaved head moment.

Yeah, Nick, Nick, Nick was scared going off the deep ends. Yeah. Nick swore he was getting fired. And quite frankly, I think he was. I, I believe that at some point they were, they were thinking about when, not if, when. I agree. I believe that. I think, I think after that Cleveland game, which they won.

and Nick was yelling at people I think that was how long can how long can this last? Yeah. This doesn't feel like the kind of thing that is going to last. And all the credit in the world to Nick or then taking the temperature down and steadying the ship.

Yeah, yeah, it's exactly what happened. It makes the metaphor. Yeah, no, but you're right. Yeah. It was funny. I was talking to Cooper today and we were just kind of I forget what we were even talking

about but he invoked syriani and he was like yeah coach uh and i didn't mean to ask i was like wasn't even the conference but he brought up syriani being um like someone you could count on like they'd a lot you know it better anybody zach you're around them all the time they truly love that guy like they like they like they're big nick fans in that room absolutely and you know it it goes back to his his first year there was a a scene that was that was that was later recounted in a team video, but I remember a few guys telling me after that Roots speech, right,

that he got killed for, and they go to Detroit, they had this big win in Detroit. Jason Kelsey brings the team together and he says, Roots on three, right? And it was like symbolically showing that they have their coaches back.

And a few of the players have brought that up to me. Like, we've had this guy's back now. It didn't help them at the end of the 23 season, but that team did play for him. him last year for sure. Yeah, I think the end, what do you make, now that the collapse is

completely rare view, right? It's, you know, you, you're winning a Super Bowl. What do you think happened? Yeah, I mean, I think there were a few things there that year is I think, first off, I don't think Nick totally trusted his coaching staff on either side of the ball, honestly. And I think Nick was doing too much offensively there. And I think he spread himself thin.

I think they had a bad coaching staff. in a sense that I know the defensive players did not believe in their staff. And there were, it was, I don't want to say they were going rogue, but it was a very disorganized group defensively. And the shame. Speaking of going rogue,

they were rogue offensively. Sure. In Seattle, literally. Yep. And so I think that was a big part of it. And the shaming it is, I think Sean Desai is like a smart guy, but I don't think he had that group spy in that year.

I think they also probably felt that he was being undercut. And so, like, if you know that the defensive coordinator doesn't have the trust of the people who are his bosses, then you're probably not going to listen to him either. That's good point. What happened? Because Siriani had their back when they went rogue

in that Seattle game. That's part of the reason that most of the players respect him is that he's always taken, you know, the bullets for them. He's always taken the blame. But yeah, I mean, I think that, you know, the quarterback head coach relationship was a big part of the end of that season. And them, you know, mending fences was a big part of them getting to the Super Bowl this year.

And I think that it is always going to be a story as long as Jailen Hertz and Nick Siriani are married together. I think you're right about that. I think you're right about that. I will say that I do believe that AJ is a big Nick fan. Yes. Probably bigger Nick fan than Nathan Shailen fan. I'd say, but no, I don't want to start something there.

Or a bigger Nick fan than Jailen is a Nick fan. Yeah, but yeah, I do think AJ, you know, appreciates Nick for sure. Yeah. Yeah. It's interesting. All right. So we give this schedule. It's out.
