It's time to talk some ball. There's a game. How about this? There's a football game coming up. Look at Zach trying to manufacture energy. We've got a big one.
Starting point is 00:00:53 I'm excited to dive into the ex's nose in this one. All right. We are excited to do that. We've got the later show at 6 o'clock Eastern Time when we will bring you the guests who we've talked to today. But Fran is flying back home after this show. We've got to make use of you. We've got to talk ball.
Starting point is 00:01:07 And, of course, we have the conclusion to swooper sortcasting coming up for this game. What everybody is really excited about. By the way, Fran, if you had said, or I had said, that we're flying back home, you know what Bo would have responded with? I thought, yeah, well, boy or his arm would have retired. Yes, yes. I almost intercut to say it, but I let him go.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Go ahead, Zach. Why don't you take it from here? So at Eagle's availability today, Jail and Carter was not present. Jail and Carter dealing with an illness, the one that obviously kept him limited yesterday. So that's a little news update. I don't anticipate the illness stretching to Sunday,
Starting point is 00:01:46 although I'm not a doctor. This, by the locker room report presented by True Mark Financial. The locker room report is presented by True Mark Financial Credit Union. Let's hear what's going on with the birds. Yeah, so if you recall two years or, no, eight seasons ago, seven years ago, there was an illness going around the Eagles. That's right. In the Mall of America, everyone was getting sick.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I know this past. Mono. Too much. Spin the bottle. I don't believe it was mono. And I have no confirmation that they've, that they played Spin the Bottle. But I just think it was an illness that people get during the month of February. So how did you think, what did you think, Fran, of the revelation that Zach was actually in attendance at Julia's Spin the Bottle first kiss? Can you believe it?
Starting point is 00:02:38 What a momentous occasion. I mean, just, you know, the stars aligning. But apparently doesn't count, though. Who would have thought? We would have thought back then at that fateful night that you guys would still be working together all those years later. We both made it. That's for sure. There was a comment on the YouTube video from last night's show saying that if spin the bottle counted that Zach would be Will Chamberlain.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Well, look, I don't want to get into that. Spin the bottles. No, I don't need to get into that. It's, yeah, I don't. But it was with her boyfriend at the time, you see. So it wasn't just a spin-the-bottle peck. It was a, you know, they were celebrating their togetherness. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Jailn-Carter. Let's get back to Jail-L-Carter. We'll talk about that offline. Nolan Smith was sick over the weekend, was wearing a mask where he went at the facility on Saturday and Friday, and there was someone else who was in a mask as well. So there has been something going around. I can't tell you the significance of it or if it's if it's going to last, but obviously Giancarter is a notable player will get their injury report today.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Any chance it's chemical warfare on behalf of the Kansas City Chiefs? No, I don't anticipate that being the case. So I asked Nick Siriani today, the same question I asked him in the final press conference two years ago, which was about his, or a similar type message, which was about the final speech he's giving to the team. And if you recall two years ago, he actually had something planned that he had, thought about when he was taking his walks around South Jersey. And he scrapped it. He scrapped it the last minute to do what he did at Mount Union before the Stag Bowl,
Starting point is 00:04:24 which was Open to Florida, anyone who wants to speak. And Eagles fans might remember this because in Jason Kelsey's outstanding documentary, you saw behind the scenes footage of Kelsey speaking, of Jalen Hertz speaking, of Hassan Reddick speaking. And Nick Siriani, he suggested he's going to do the same thing today. Oh, interesting. I believe it wasn't it the lane one? that really had everybody, that was the one that they really remembered? Am I read about that?
Starting point is 00:04:48 No. That was the one that landed the hardest for people, I feel like. Oh, really? I think that's right. One guy said, you know, I spoke to multiple players about it today and they spoke a lot about Kelsey's, like defending Hertz, if you recall that. This guy's
Starting point is 00:05:04 taking so much. They recall Hertz. And Hassan Reddick, which was in there, which was like, we didn't come this far, just lose a game that that that type of thing um so those so i i thought that was kind of interesting uh nick was asked if he's going to cry during the anthem again he says he says no he said it was a great anthem i thought that was a good answer uh he was asked about his opening press conference and he was like
Starting point is 00:05:32 i've gotten better at it since then i don't know why he keep bringing this bringing this up uh so those were some of the notes from nick and then we you know we spoke to players we spoke to um coaches I want to tell Cousin Grace, if you're watching, Cousin Grace, I conveyed to Jeff Stoutland your story. Really? And Stout knew exactly what I was talking about. Really? Yeah. That's great.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Yeah. Was he touched? It was nice. He knew that he tries to do, you know, I think he tries to do things like that when he can. And so perhaps he'll have another ring to do nice things with it. But was he touched that that story had been passed along to you? He didn't say he was touched.
Starting point is 00:06:13 He more said, I know exactly what you're talking about. Okay. Yeah. All right. What else did you glean from today's session? So I really tried to use today to kind of further some relationships, get some more notes going forward here. I spent some time with Christian Parker.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Speaking, you know, Christian Parker, man after my own heart here, he has a note's a notability on his iPad where he keeps like every little thing that comes up that could help him in a coordinator role and a head coaching role. So whether it's something from the strength staff, whether it's something that Howie does, you know, different things from Vic, different things from Nick, the way meetings are, you know, you hear about Andy Reed's binder,
Starting point is 00:06:59 and this is, you know, in 2024, you don't need to have the whole binder. He has the Notability app on his iPad, and he was telling me all about this. He thinks he's ready to call a defense. So we'll kind of, He's a person to watch for sure. Christian Parker caught up with a bunch of other people about Nick's expression that you can't be great without the greatness of others
Starting point is 00:07:28 because it really is something that embodies the team. Saquan Barkley brings it up all the time. Nick brings it up all the time, brings it up behind the scenes. So we've got some good anecdotes about that. Over at the Chief's availability, I spoke to someone you guys both used to work with. Actually, I don't know if Fran was there at that time or not. Mike Frazier? Right.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Yeah. So Mike Frazier, interestingly. Oh, who it is? Hello. How are you? How about that? Yeah. We are joined now by the Eagles cheerleaders.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Very nice. They have always here. What's your prediction for the game? We have another guess. Oh, swoop. Oh, that's both, yeah. There you go. Look at this.
Starting point is 00:08:12 How about that? I mean, that looks better than that. Yes. Yeah. Oh, other one. All right. Fantastic. Can we get a cheer saying,
Starting point is 00:08:26 Get some sleep for Zach. Zach. Zach. Zach. Zach. Zach. No, no, no. No, no.
Starting point is 00:08:32 We don't need that. We don't need that. Yeah. All right. Thank you guys. Thank you so much. Yeah. Ball knowers.
Starting point is 00:08:38 There we go. He's looking at himself. Fantastic. Thank you guys. It looks great. Thank you, guys. How about that? Go birds.
Starting point is 00:08:47 That's right. There you go. Enjoy it. I let it do it for the locker room report presented by True Mark Financial. We got the, yeah, we got people from the organization. That's great. So Mike Frazier from the Kansas City Chiefs, interestingly, hired by, oh, here, we're taking a picture here. I kind of feel like the players do, right?
Starting point is 00:09:11 This is what you said you wanted yesterday. You're like, I want to be wanted. Yeah. Oh, yeah, no, more for interviews than for pictures. Not a huge picture guy, but like interviews. Okay. Fairly. And so.
Starting point is 00:09:27 So you talk with Mike Frazier. Mike Frazier was hired by Joe Banner on the business side. He was hired as an intern on the business side that went over to work with Andy, you know, knew all the different people in the Eagles building. Al Calabee kind of got his start with Mike Frazier. So I enjoyed catching up with Mike Frazier. That was one of the cool things over at the Chiefs availability today. Awesome. Chase Daniel Plainview has a super chat, Zach, if you want to weigh in on this.
Starting point is 00:09:52 He says, how should Harrison bug her view, Gail Benson? She protects the Catholic Church, but shielding clergy from child abuse claims really is a man's job. I have no response, no witty retort. I'll defer to you on that one, Beau. All right, let's get two ball. Let's talk about this game. Yes. And I feel like I think we've spent a little bit.
Starting point is 00:10:14 more time talking about the chief's offense against the Eagles defense. So we'll save that for the second part. Let's begin with the Eagles offense. And I have sort of made the case this week. I don't remember what show was on or if it was just talking to people.
Starting point is 00:10:31 I feel like the Chief's offense against the Eagles defense is kind of a narrow band of outcomes. I don't think that the Chiefs are going to put up 40 points on the best defense in football. But I also don't think that Vic Fangio and the defense is going to totally shut down Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes on the
Starting point is 00:10:49 biggest stage. I think it's going to be, I think they're going to score between 17 and 27 points, something like that. I think that's probably fair. And honestly, like that has been such a big part of the Eagles, like, winning formula this year has been the Eagles defense is going to lower the ceiling on the opposing offense. Yeah. And the Eagles' offensive talent, their floor is very high. So even if they don't play a great game, you're expecting that they're not going to score 12 points. points. They can score 13 points. So it's a matter of like, all right, are the Eagles, is the Eagles offense able to hit the ceiling or is the defense able to really lower that form? And so the variance in this game to me is the Eagles offense against the Chiefs defense.
Starting point is 00:11:27 And this one I could see going, I could see Spags just totally bamboozling Jalen Hertz, totally getting in his head. They're able to finally shut down Sequin Barclay and the Eagles offense, you know, Piffles on the big stage. I can also see the Eagles offense. scoring like 45 points, just like dominating this game. So as we try to analyze how this might happen, what to you is the biggest variable in this matchup? Spags and going up against a past game. And the blitz.
Starting point is 00:12:01 And how they handle the blitz. It's what we've talked about a multitude of times here this season is what is the past game going to look like in these money downs, these high leverage moments, When the Eagles need to pass, they get a run stop on first down. They get a run stop on second down is third and six, third and seven. Is Jalen Hertz in this past game able to execute against what Steve Spagnolo is able to throw at them? And to me, that is going to be one of the big determining factors in this matchup.
Starting point is 00:12:31 We know that Spaggs, when you get into these type of scenarios, into these big games, he's going to throw stuff at you that you haven't seen on those unscouted looks. I go back to that fourth down play against the Buffalo Bills last week. Tony Romo's on the broadcast. I'm sitting in my hotel room in pay. It's hard to be as specifically wrong as he was. But that's that that was it. Like that was it in a nutshell was that Tony Romo,
Starting point is 00:12:55 former quarterback, known for being able to predict what, you know, offenses and defenses are going to do on these broadcasts. He's like, oh, well, you know, you're not going to get pressure here for Josh Allen. And here comes two corners coming off there. He's blitzing Trent McDuffie off the right side. And he gets an unblocked pressure.
Starting point is 00:13:08 And it results in an incomplete pass. How the Eagles execute in those situations is going to be one of the determining factors in this game. I really think knowing Siriani that the way that they're going to try to approach not getting beat on third and long is by not getting into third and long. That's easier said than done, but I really think that's going to be a huge part of the way that they approach this game from a game plan standpoint. There are going to be those handful of plays that are going to annoy you where, well, have annoyed you in the past, I should say. Yeah. Where it's third and seven and they come out and they run the ball. Yes. I think that that's one way
Starting point is 00:13:42 that they're going to try and combat that. And it might not even be where they think it's four-down territory. It might be like, we think this is our, the highest floor scenario for us to try and get this first down is to run against a sub-packaged look. And it might be a winning formula for them. But look, Spags' defense, I mean, they created unblocked pressures at a higher rate than any team in the NFL this year, especially on third down. They do all kinds of funky.
Starting point is 00:14:06 But again, we said this against Green Bay. We said this against the Rams. We said it against Washington. and the Eagles, I mean, obviously what the past game did in the NFC title game against the commanders was outstanding. And they were able to get through it and make the plays that mattered in those previous two games. To me, this is a huge, huge factor in this matchup. You know, when I read that, oh, I'm sorry, when I read that in your notes, which are up on all p.chly.com, make sure you subscribe. Last chance for this, the diehard rate, by the way.
Starting point is 00:14:35 $36 for the entire year, $3 a month, an unbelievable steel. So I thought about Bo's training camp notes. Oh, there's Don McNet. I thought about Bo's training camp notes. And there's Jamie Lynch following about him. Look that. Jamie's a bulldog. I love it.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Bo had the observation during camp how much better Sequin was as a past, you know, as a blitz picker upper than all the other backs. And look, obviously, Seekwant's most important role in this game is going to be running the ball. But Sequin's going to have a huge part in the blitz pickup. here too. So one of the things that stood out when I was going through the chief's defense, especially in the postseason, there was a sequence against the Houston Texans in the divisional round. It was in the red zone or not sorry, it was in plus territory just outside the red zone. And it was like three straight plays where they threw blitzes at them. And I thought the Texans were
Starting point is 00:15:28 so discombobulated from a pass rush or a pass protection plan standpoint that to me like they got in their heads. You know, because you go up and you're like, okay, they've got a linebacker here on the line of scrimmage. But I think. this is just bait. They're trying to slide. They want us to slide the protection that way. They're actually bringing somebody over here. And they don't account for the linebacker that's on the line of scrimmage and he comes through clean. Right. You have plays like that where if you are Jalen Hertz, if you're Cam Juergens, Landon Dickerson, like those guys, I feel like are the core of who sets the protections and make sure that these guys are right. You can't
Starting point is 00:16:00 overthink it. You have to me like on third down, you want to make sure you're sliding to Chris Jones. You have to make sure that you are respecting any pass rush threats that are on the line scrimmage and then if you're Jalen Hertz you have to know hey there's a chance that this guy's not coming i'm still going to have somebody go to him i'm hot off of this slot corner or of this safety or this corner here and if he comes that's on me they have to be sound in that stuff because to me if you start to overthink it and take and try and guess who's coming and who's not that's where they can get into trouble and that's where those unblocked pressures can result in those disaster plays they've done a good job at avoiding those for the most part that that can't happen in this
Starting point is 00:16:37 game the chat by the way has has noticed that that is our videographer, social media extraordinaire Chris behind us. You can see in the background. Give them some screen time. I actually think we moved at the backdrop when we did the... No, it's actually been like that the whole time. Oh, because it's for the solo shot. No, but the alignment's different because of the interview we did.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Super chat from Rob who says, Fran, do you think Kellyn Moore hits Andy with a taste of his own medicine and dials up some blitz-beating screens to Sequin and the real MVP, Dallas got her? They haven't, I mean, they just haven't been a great screen team this year. Now, you could think on specific plays. You know, Sequin had a nice screen on a third down against the Blitz. I want to say, was that the Jacksonville game where there was that screen along the right side? We've seen Dallas Goddard involved in the screen game a little bit more down the stretch, certainly in the postseason.
Starting point is 00:17:25 But, you know, my guess is, is, yeah, they might have some of that dialed up. But that hasn't really been their answer. For the most part, the answer has been like Jaylen going to those hot routes and just trying to get the ball out fast. And to me, like, that is something that they should try and do in this game. It's just, you know, maybe it doesn't result in the explosive play downfield. But, again, you're trying to avoid the disaster play against Spags in this defense. Some more super chats quickly.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Mad D.O. says, sleep, Zach, sleep, sleep, Zeck, sleep, Zeck. I think we can all agree on that front. And then Cashquatch says the bird scored 35 in 2023 with no Sequin against Spags. What's different this time around that would lead the chiefs to dominate them? on that matchup. I mean, look, Jalen played the best game of his life. They were talking about last year.
Starting point is 00:18:13 Oh, last year, sorry. See, because people, everyone says 23. And I don't know if I'm talking about the 22 seasons. Yeah, that wasn't a great offensive performance. No, it was not. Yeah. Chris Jones was dominant in that game. He had a bunch of pressures in that one.
Starting point is 00:18:26 It was not a great offense performance in that game against the Chief's last record season. So it was actually a big to Sae game. Yeah, it was the size best game of the season. Yeah. Yeah, that in the Miami. Yeah. No, look, Sequin Barkley, absolutely next factor.
Starting point is 00:18:41 If you go into my keys of the game, to me, like that, that's number one is keep the run game going here. The Chiefs have not allowed a 100-yard rusher at running back this season. Their only 100-yard rush they allowed happened in week one against the Baltimore Ravens. And it was Lamar Jackson. They haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher since then. Now, they haven't gone up against the best run games in the NFL, But they have against some of the best runners they faced.
Starting point is 00:19:06 They did a good job against, pretty good job against Derek Henry, B. John Robinson, you know, some of these other backs, you know, they kept James Cook in check for the first half. He had some chunk plays and they kind of got away from it a little bit. The Eagles are going to stick with, we feel pretty good. The Eagles are going to stick with the run game. I don't think this is going to be a pass, pass, pass game. I'm so fascinated with what Spags does on this front.
Starting point is 00:19:26 We've talked about it a little bit. But, you know, we had a conversation with Nick Wright that will air on the 5 o'clock show. And he made the distinction between that James Cook performance and this performance because his thought was the chiefs were sort of letting the bills. It was not the thing that they were worried about. Whereas with Sequin, it's what they will worry about. But even as you worry about it, I don't know that the best way to prioritize stopping the run is to load the box
Starting point is 00:19:51 because then you open yourself up to the explosive plays. That's how the big plays come, right? You put eight in the box, he makes one man miss, and all of a sudden he's gone. It's almost like you play a two high, shell and I know that this defense plays cover two as much as anybody we've talked about how jalen struggles with that so as they prioritize trying to to limit sake one barkley what do you think that looks like from spags well let me let me answer that by first bring it back to what I think the Eagles approach will be okay because I think the Eagles approach will be in this game we talked about this with the Rams where this is not a defense that you want to condense the formation we've seen the Eagles come out and hey they're going to line up in 11 personnel but they're going to bring everybody tight into the formation and really kind of shrink the box that way. You didn't want to do that against the ramps because that invited some exotic pressures and now anybody can be a blitzer and they were, that was a green light for those guys.
Starting point is 00:20:42 It's especially the case here with Spags. If you are going to line up tight to the formation, that's what, I mean, that's what happened in that Buffalo play, that fourth down play. That was a condensed formation. When you do that, you make it easier to disguise who's coming. And harder to, yeah, harder to figure out who's coming. So what I think that the Eagles are going to do is that they are going to play in more spread formations and run the ball.
Starting point is 00:21:02 in this football game. I think that they will stay in 11 personnel more often than what we've seen over the course of the season. I think they will play a little bit more spread out. So with that in mind, to go now to answer that question is I think that with Kansas City the way that they will react to that, they've got a couple different nickel packages that they will use. You know, and they've, look, they've had a lot of injuries in the back seven and that has determined some of this. But Leo Channal is their best run defender at linebacker. He typically only plays in base. That said, they have had some nickel packages, where he has been an offball player or a guy down the line of scrimmage,
Starting point is 00:21:36 they want to get him on the field to try and see if they can deter Sequin Barclay that way. He's very, he has not missed a tackle this season. He's really strong on contact, taking on blocks, defeating blocks. So Leo Chanel is a guy, I think that they're going to try and say that this is going to be one of our X factors to keep him limited. I do think this is a space game for Barclay. I think you want to try and get him out into the perimeter and see if you can out leverage some of those guys in the middle of the field for Kansas City. One thing that I think is important to monitor is if, if the Eagles do have this game plan, like you said, where they're running the ball,
Starting point is 00:22:06 not to abandon that based on game conditions early. And what I mean by that is, let's say the Eagles defer. Kansas City goes down and scores. The Eagles punt. Kansas City goes down and scores. It's 14-0. It's easy at that point than to say, like, you've got to come back. You know, I think what's important for the Eagles, especially with the way their defense has played throughout the year,
Starting point is 00:22:27 is like the trust that they can get back into a game. and not to abandon what their plan is just based on game conditions. And there have not been that many times this year where they've been forced to play from behind, although they have in the first half. And so I think they've done that this year. It will be interesting to see if that happens. The Tampa game jumps out as a game where I thought the Eagles got away from the run. And if you remember, like, the first play or the second play of the second half,
Starting point is 00:22:54 Seque won has that huge run against the Bucks, right? And it was like, why didn't they run the ball more in the first? half. And a big part of that is because or Tampa Bay scored early, and the Eagles went into this this like pass happy approach. All right. We have much more on this side of the ball to get to, but let's take a quick break to hear from our friends. We start with True Mark Financial.

A super chat from Siriani's Budcut, Buzzcut, who was reading my mind because I'm not a butt cut. What would a butt cut? Why was the eye reading your mind, the butt cut? It's not a, that wasn't a Freudian slip. It's just a mispronunciation.
Starting point is 00:26:21 You said Siriani's butt cut, they were reading my mind. Yeah. You got me. I want to cut off a piece of that ass I don't know you said it well I know but what are you what are you thinking is I just I said the word wrong
Starting point is 00:26:44 okay all right well the butt cut maybe that's like as you're running instead of like it's the way that you juke like you've got a bit of a butt cut yeah I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Or it's like actually, maybe this is, it's like a prospect jargon if a guy is high-waisted or low-wasted, he's kind of got a butt cut. He's kind of got a butt cut. Yeah. Okay. Or maybe it is but cut, right? So it's like the defender's coming, but cut.
Starting point is 00:27:20 There you go. There you go. Could be that. I think we've come close to getting to the bottom of it, but we've got another 45 minutes to work on it. Briani's buzz cut says, I feel no one is talking about how Hertz has been avoiding contact during runs this year, which I doubt will be the case this game. No more soft slides. And I do think, Fran, that given that this is obviously the last game, the season, the most important game, I do think that we will see Jalen invite contact a little bit more to get every guard.
Starting point is 00:27:48 And I'm curious how much you think the Eagles embracing the quarterback running game to a maybe slightly higher degree could change what they look like on offense. Yeah, I think so. I mean, look, if it's the opening drive, I don't think that he's going to be lowering the shoulder on it. I think that there are levels to that. Do you save yourself for those high leverage moments late in the game like what we saw in that two-point play in the last Super Bowl, right? So I think that that's probably what you're looking at more so than, you know, him. Is it a possible blitz beating situation? Potentially, especially. You call the right draw and you hit the right. Yeah, I think, you know, when they go empty or if it's Sequine in the backfield, they do they love it. that lead draw where he's inserting as a blocker and you have Cam Juergens folding around. I think that that's something we could definitely see. Look, when they go into those empty sets, that's also a good way to, you know, again, to kind of deter those blitzes from Spags. There are times where he will do what is called blitz the formation where, hey, you know,
Starting point is 00:28:46 we're going to go completely empty, no one in the backfield with Jalen Hertz. All right, well, now we are going to bring six rushers, six potential rushers up near the line of scrimmage and force the ball to come out clean, you know, because now you can't block all six of those guys with just four or with just five blockers. And so that is something we could see from Spags. But again, it'll be up to Jalen to just try to determine if that's happening. Now I have to have an answer for it. Although I will dispute the premise of the question there.
Starting point is 00:29:14 It's actually not the premise of the question. Part of the question there, that's not something we've talked about. We've done what seven shows a week throughout the season. There's not a thing about the Eagles that we haven't discussed, including the way Gion Harts finishes it runs. He was saying that people haven't discussed the possibility that that might change in this game. Oh, okay. Gotcha. All right, I stand corrected. But cut.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Musa, Fran, wants to know how many Sequin touchdowns did Jalen check into at the line? Is it possible Jalen is uniquely talented at reading and calling the run game? Is that even a thing? I mean, it's possible that he is uniquely talented at it. He has checked into, he's checked into some good plays this year for sure. And it's something that he has, honestly, he's done a good job with that over the course of his career. But that said, there are, hmm, how do I phrase this? A lot of times those things happen and we don't know it.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Right. Where he changes the play at the line and it's, and it fails, right? And it's like, oh, man, like what happened here? There was the play in the Cleveland game that led to the blocked field goal by Rodney McLeod, right? Where you could see it on film, Jalen changed the play. and it resulted in a negative play and then the block field goal happened, right? Sometimes we can see it, sometimes we don't.
Starting point is 00:30:30 There was the play in overtime against on the road in Seattle last year where he changed the play. Him and AJ changed the play and it resulted in the incompletion or the interception down the right sidelines. So sometimes we are aware of it and sometimes we aren't,
Starting point is 00:30:44 but yeah, he's going to be, the T's will need to be crossed, the eyes will need to be dotted here in this one. Okay, now we have spent a lot of time talking about how the chiefs will approach blocking Jalen Carter in this game. Do they have Trace Smith single them up and go to the double team
Starting point is 00:30:58 on Milton Williams or vice versa? The Eagles have an similar dilemma. How do you think and how difficult is it for them to decide how to approach blocking Chris Jones? So I will say we'll have a piece that's going up on the PHOI YouTube page later today.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Myself and Jeff Schwartz talked through this. It talked through the both sides. I love that. There was a fun conversation, caught with them for a few minutes, talking about the Chris Jones it all and the Jalen Carter of it all on both sides. Here's the thing with Chris Jones. He's the only player in the NFL to have 25 pressures as a defensive end and as a
Starting point is 00:31:34 defensive tackle. They move him around a ton. He, this postseason, they put him against Dion Dawkins, against Buffalo. They put him against Laramie Tunsell in Houston. And they were perfectly fine saying, okay, we're going to put our best defensive lineman, Chris Jones, against their best offensive lineman. and he's not going to win every time, but he's going to get some wins. And then we're going to ask our other guys to mess some stuff up over there.
Starting point is 00:32:00 So they're not searching for the weak spot. They have not done that over the course of this postseason. My guess is that would probably continue. So are they going to put him against, are they going to put them against Jordan? Are they going to put them against Lane? They've done that with him in the past. Lane did give up a, I believe he gave up a sack against them in the game last season that we talked about in 2023. my guess is they're going to continue to move him around.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Now, how the Eagles have handled it in years past. In that Super Bowl, they did an outstanding job of kind of putting Chris Jones on ice. Basically on third down, they doubled him almost every single time. He had no pressures on third down in that game. They did a good job of just really, I mean, basically giving him the Aaron Donald treatment. Yeah. All right, wherever he's at, we're going to make sure we're always sliding his way. And I think that's probably how they will try and approach it here in this one.
Starting point is 00:32:49 George Carl Offtis has been really hot down the stretch. He's an exploit. Yeah, he's been really, really good for them. It's from a productivity standpoint. Now, and Jeff made the point in our conversation that a lot of his pressures have come against tight ends. But again, that's by design. Because of the way that they blitz and the way
Starting point is 00:33:05 they're creating some of those favorable matchups, creating some of those one-on-one opportunities for him. And so, yeah, to me, they have to try and make sure that they account for Chris Jones. When he's inside, my guess is that Cam Juergens will always slide his way. when he is outside, the Eagles don't really give the tackles help at all. And so I think that they will be fine, as in like they will be okay mentally going in,
Starting point is 00:33:29 saying, okay, we are going to leave Jordan, we are going to leave Lane one-on-one with Chris Jones, and let's give our help to, you know, Mike Dana, Carl Aftus, Omanahoo, who is capable of really good plays both inside and outside. So I think that's the way they'll probably handle it. Now, obviously, part of the chess match at the line is that like in my mind I'm thinking, you know, Mackay Beckton is the weak spot of those five. Now, we'll see how the injuries affect Lennon Dickerson and Cam Jergens. But you would never want that to be a one-on-one, Beckton against Chris Jones.
Starting point is 00:33:59 But the threat of the Blitz changes the protections. Maybe you incorrectly think the blitz is coming, and so you have to see, like, all of that is at play here. And it should be a fascinating match. I mean, Chris Jones has been money for this team in the playoffs, in Super Bowls especially. He's come up with big plays. Now, again, the Eagles did a great job. of limiting that in the last Super Bowl. He really didn't get much done in that one.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Last year against San Francisco, he had like six or seven pressures in that game. I don't think he had a sack against San Francisco, but he was always around Brock Purdy. And so the Eagles will need to make sure that they have a plan for Chris Jones. Zach, is it George Karloftus or Carl George Loftus? It is George Karloftus. His family moved from Greece to West Lafayette, Indiana. He was a major recruit who decided to stay and go to Purdue.
Starting point is 00:34:48 It was a big story at the time and had a prolific career at Purdue first round pick and he's the top edge rush around the Chiefs. Waterpolo. Mike B has a super chat and says, how involved do you think Vic Fangio will be with Sunday's offensive game plan being that he was brought in as a consultant
Starting point is 00:35:04 last Super Bowl? I would not expect that. Yeah, he's got plenty to worry about. Last thing you wanted to touch on here with the Chiefs defense friend, all the moving parts in the back end for the Chiefs, the safety rotation that they have. is a little bit difficult to diagnose. I have a good number on this from my notes.
Starting point is 00:35:22 I actually think this is a better number than a Dana's number. Some might say. You might say that. I don't know about Zach. So the Chiefs rotated their safeties after the snap on just about 37% of their plays during the regular season. That was middle of the pack. That was 14th highest in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:35:37 But that number has jumped to 45.8%. So just about 10 percentage points in the postseason. Now, what's also interesting, this is all from next-gen stats. Spaggs has disguised. coverage shells on 41% of snaps in three games against Jalen Hertz since he became the starter. So he's had three matchups against Jalen. He does it on 41% of the snaps. That's the highest rate among any of their opponents that they have faced multiple times.
Starting point is 00:36:02 And so what that means to me is that Spag sees, yeah, this is something that we can do to mess with Jalen Hertz. I would expect plenty of those coverage rotations. Jalen's just going to have to be ready to decipher all of that and make sure that the ball gets out to where it needs to go. to cite for those coverages. He did that well against Washington. There was a play I posted from the airport in Dallas before I left from Shrine Bowl to the Senior Bowl. It was the third down completion of Goddard, where they showed it was going to be man coverage. It looked like it was going to be man after the motion.
Starting point is 00:36:34 Jalen didn't take the cheese at all. KATHLEEN SULLIVANNELL-KULT, when he hit Goddard for a first down. You need plays like that in this game. How are you feeling? You've been all over the place the last three weeks. I'm ready to go home. I'm excited for Sunday. The shows are going to be so awesome.
Starting point is 00:36:50 We're going to do an hour kickoff show, pregame show, myself and Jamie. We're excited for Vinny to be in the house for postgame. Half time is going to be great, so make sure you're joining us. But yeah, it's been a long couple weeks. How are you feeling, Sam? I thrilled to be on the show. You could use some sleep. What was last night?
Starting point is 00:37:08 Don't ask them. Was it worse than the night before? Better than night before. Okay. Maybe steps. But it still doesn't have a four in front of it. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:19 The Wi-Fi was better in here. Yeah, I'm with you. It's like the only time you can write is the only time you can write a story here is after 11 and before 7. Right. So it's like because you can't write a story and we got to be here throughout the day like in this room. So. But there is, if I can give a quick plug, there's a story up on all p.gly.com. Please.
Starting point is 00:37:44 I write every Super Bowl I've written about Howie Roseman and look you I get it when your GM that puts a Super Bowl roster together the coverage tends to be favorable at the Super Bowl right that it probably comes with the territory you're not focusing on the Bryce Huff signing but it was it was kind of about the offseason that the Eagles had but then I also wanted to incorporate some other elements too like you have them addressing the Sequan signing the Bond signing the Bechtin signing but also I wanted to get in and I wanted to get in and something that Bo did a great job outlining in our show last Tuesday about Howie, how the years before kind of led up to this. Because one thing Howie did say was like the turnover of the defense was really a three-year thing, right? Those three drafts. That was that was one thing he said. And then really that they thought they had an opportunity this offseason based on the
Starting point is 00:38:39 resources. And you're not always going to have those resources. This upcoming offseason, they're not going to have those resources. But I started this story with, you know, the scene outside of the locker room in Tampa Bay last year where Howley's hugging Jason Kelsey and Brandon Graham. Because he said he felt like he let those guys down last year. Last year wasn't a great Howie year, you know, and he knew that was their last game. And then he knew that the front office had to have an opportunity this offseason. They took advantage of it.
Starting point is 00:39:09 And then I ended the story. I mean, I want you to read it. but like with Howie already looking ahead to this upcoming off season because, you know, one thing that that I brought up to him was, like, R.C. Buford, who he says is the godfather of GMs. That's the term he used, the godfather of GMs. He's someone, Howie has a good relationship with him. He spoke a week or two ago.
Starting point is 00:39:31 And R.C. Buford, after, like, from 2002 to 2019, so he was this first GM. And then he graduated, if you were, will to the CEO role. He runs the entire organization. I mean, still a brilliant basketball mind, but he's not just doing the GM stuff anymore. And I asked Howie, like, is that something that would interest you? And how he was like, he said, I love putting a roster together.
Starting point is 00:39:57 I love the college all-star games. I love the draft. I love, like, free agency. And he's like, I still feel like I'm getting better, he said. And so him reflecting on that was, I think, something different than some of the other stories that might have come out this week. So I, yeah, please check that out in all PHLY.com. One small thing he said in that session, which Fran and I actually talked about on the
Starting point is 00:40:20 PHLY draft show with Fran Duffy, which you can check out on the PHLY YouTube page, a good episode this week. That stuck with me was, and it was in relation to the Mackay-Bectin signing, if you leave the draft having addressed all your needs, you probably had a bad draft. Good point. And I think that that's right. It goes, I mean, it's another way of framing best player available. and trust your board.
Starting point is 00:40:42 But I do think that is a good way to think about it. Yeah. Good point. But too, yeah, absolutely. And I haven't watched that draft show yet. I need to listen to it on one of the walks. We're going to give you a pass. You can listen to it next week. You don't have to listen to it before.
Starting point is 00:40:56 But I was thinking, so the three Eagles. You, the listeners do. But, Zach, you need to see. So not, like, this isn't, this isn't like me, like, flexing or like, this is just like an explanation for why it's been this way. Okay. I was thinking of my first Super Bowl. I'm writing for The Inquirer.
Starting point is 00:41:12 And it's all about like, all right, write these really good stories. My second, the second Eagle Super Bowl, I'm writing for the athletic and we're doing birds of friends. And it's like, write these really good stories and we're doing these daily shows. Okay. And now it's like the third one here at all, at P.H.Y, All City. It's, it's write these good stories, do two shows a day. And then we're tracking down, like, and it's not just me. It's all of us here.
Starting point is 00:41:39 It's Bo. It's Fran. it's Jamie, it's Julia, it's Chris. You know, we have a team in place. But you have the freedom to not do all of those things. You are, no one's forcing you to do all of those things. You could take a show off a day if you wanted to, to go and write somewhere. Or you could take a day off from writing.
Starting point is 00:41:59 You are in charge here. You're raising your hand for everything. Oh, opportunity is not a lengthy visitor, right? Don't complain about it. No, I know. I was not complaining. Explain about it. Yeah, I was not, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:14 I was trying to just give a, I'll take the audience behind the scenes of what everyone's doing here. Is that all these clips that you're seeing on our YouTube channel, I hope like Fran talking to Ben Solac. That happens just by going around here. You guys were talking before to Brandon Chubb. You know, there's so many different people who come through. Some interviews got to work harder for them. Some interviews, you're prepared for You're prepared for in your lap.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Some, you just, it's just happened. You're not quite sure who you're talking to at first. Put up saying, we're... And then you figure it out. We're here all day. You ever start a story that way where you just put your hands on the keyboard and then you have no idea what you're talking about. One word until like the third paragraph and you're like, oh, okay, maybe this is what this
Starting point is 00:43:02 story will be about. I started questions like that, though. I started questions where it's like, you know, you just, kind of start and you're like so regarding the offense you're trying to get the question in yeah and then you sort of forget what yeah so i've had that uh the chat is all is booming saying that the they love the howie story the howie story thank you that means a lot so many people have said now i also ridiculously good says thank you and i put out a thing saying give a thumbs up on the video if you want zach to get more than four hours sleep and at least 20 people since then i've
Starting point is 00:43:32 given a thumbs up to the video that's just emmo doing different user names comment on the video, like and subscribe, make all that good stuff. Yeah, let's get Zach's sleep. I don't think YouTube has trending, but let's just get it all in the comments. All right, a quick break to hear from our sponsors, and then we will flip sides of the ball
Starting point is 00:43:50 to talk about the Eagles defense and the Big Vic Energy heading into Sunday. How long have you said on that one? Huh? Big Vic Energy? Yeah. It's the headline. I haven't heard that one. That's a good one. Ace Hardware Home Services.

Maybe you're looking for watches. Maybe you're looking for a diamond necklace, diamond bracelets, earrings, anything. Maybe you're trying to get a replica or some kind of a commemorative ring for the Eagles
Starting point is 00:45:52 winning a Super Bowl. You're going to get some emeralds, some green sapphire or something like that. Hold on down to Golden Nugget Jewelers again. Chestnut and eighth in downtown Philadelphia. You deserve an expert in the best price. Golden Nugget Jewelers where Philly gets engaged. head over to golden nuggetjewers.com to learn more. And the Anthony Gargano show is going to be at Golden Nugget on Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:46:12 There we go. That would be fun. That is awesome. Maybe they can, if the Eagles win, maybe they'll just give out rings to everybody. Probably not. But still, it'll be fun. Over promise under deliver. Zeeby John says, you know, a lot of comments in the chat about your health and people worried about your sleep. He says, John, Zeeby, in all seriousness, the confidence, the comments.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Content has been great from the whole team this week. The whole team. Your stories have been really great as well. You're a true pro, but you need to find the balance we care about you. I appreciate. Look, people are fatigued talking about my fatigue. Yeah, I promise you, I'm aware and I'm working on it, and we're going to be good. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:46:52 There will be a time probably after the draft where I'll be hitting eight hours a night every night. So, yeah. Believe me, promise me, if I make it two, three months from me, No, I mean, this is, you know, Howie was talking about this, too. Howie's like, how he's like, oh, God, you know, we're, I tell the scouts, we're already behind, right? Which is like what every GM of the Super Bowl team says. But if you look at the calendar, like, you know, free agencies are like a month away right now, right? So this thing, I haven't done any free agency prep.
Starting point is 00:47:26 I thought our free agency stuff was awesome last year. Thank God we have Fran here for the draft. But, you know, even the combine, like you want to know kind of, bless you. But more free agency. I'm not expecting the Eagles to be major players, but I haven't done any free agency work yet at all. Players. The Eagles had eight scouts at the Senior Bowl.
Starting point is 00:47:47 They had eight at the Shrine Bowl. They're getting their work in, but late for the coaches, late for Howie and for player development, all eyes on the prize here. Next time Howie says that. I'm just going to say, Howie, don't worry. All you got to do is all p.chly.com,
Starting point is 00:48:03 go to Fran Duffie's draft guy. and you have everything you need there. Let that be your scouting report. For Zach's second favorite draft. No, my favorite, Marissa's second favorite. Obviously not. She described it as her favorite. She's the one who, the only one we know is telling the truth.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Anything else to pick off the bone of Eagles' offense against Chief's defense for you? No, we talked to me. It's a wide variety of. of zone and man blitzes. The chiefs have been much more effective with zone blitzes this season. And so I think that they will lean into that more, especially given the fact that the eagles and Jalen Hertz
Starting point is 00:48:46 have been less effective going up against zone blitzes. So I'd anticipate more zone coverage here from the chiefs here when they send that extra pressure. Yeah, I think that's, I mean, another big one here. Actually, no, we'll get that in the next one. Before we flip sides of the ball, another super chat from Cash Squad. who says Zeeby, I also really love the Jalen Poole story.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Oh, thank you. But in addition to sleep, I think you should read more fiction if you can squeeze that in. Yeah, look, I do want to squeeze some fiction in this summer. That's actually something on my list for how to get better. Because I watch fiction shows. I should read fiction books. What's your favorite fiction show? The West Wing, Kirby Enthusiasm, The Office.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Julia, what are you laughing at? Uh-oh. We've lost her. What? Okay. Eagles defense. Sheeps offense. Patrick Mahomes.
Starting point is 00:49:47 Not a bad player. What do you think the Eagles are going to do? How can Vic deliver it? And does it come down to what has been the best tackling defense that I can remember for an Eagles team? just making sure that they keep doing that. Yeah. I honestly, both defenses are actually very good tackling defenses. That's one of the Chiefs hallmarks this year as well.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Here's what I'll say. What's fascinating about this matchup is you go back to the first drive, Jaden Daniels, Washington, 17 plays, right? Yes. And then they get a goal. Set over three. Take the counter three. That's the way that Kansas City plays.
Starting point is 00:50:28 Yeah. They want to bleed you out as an offense. They are perfectly fine. and dunking and death by 1,000 paper cuts. That's the way that... 26th in 20 plus yard play percentage, according to the inferior numbers of Danes Selman. Quick nugget here, by the way.
Starting point is 00:50:44 Patrick Mahomes talking yesterday about the most growth he's had as a quarterback since his first Super Bowl, and he said he used to be like big play hunting. Right. And now he's like, he's much more focused on football plays. Yeah. And so honestly, the numbers sort of reflect that as well looking at when this... Because look, I think when you look at this offense overall, it's very easy to look at it and say,
Starting point is 00:51:07 well, you look at these numbers over the course of the season from an EPA standpoint, from a success rate standpoint, the passing numbers, the explosive play rate, as you mentioned, they're subpar, they're average in a lot of spots where it's like, oh, this offense hasn't been as good this year. What I would say is the injuries that this group has dealt with at the skill positions, you know, Pacheco missed a lot of time, Marquis Brown missed the majority of the season. They traded for, they traded for New Hopkins midway through. They lost Rishi Rice midway through the season. Travis Kelsey has been dinged up.
Starting point is 00:51:36 The offensive line, a tackle. They've really struggled and they made those changes. Really, if you look at it from like week 15 on, that's where their best performances offensively have come in that stretch. And they played week 15, week 16, week 17. The entire starting lineup did not play in week 18. They had a buy week for the wild card week. So you had a two-week stretch where they were off.
Starting point is 00:51:57 And then they had divisional round and the ASC title game. that five-game stretch there for Kansas City, that's been four of their five best offensive performances here this season. And so I think when you, that said, it's still not an explosive, but they're still not going like bombs away down the field, but they've been so efficient. And one of the ways that they've been efficient
Starting point is 00:52:16 has been getting the ball out of Patchamahe's hands fast. Two and a half even seconds, average time to throw there in the last four games for Patchma-Hombs. In weeks, one through 15, it was 2.87 seconds. So that's a huge difference there, 2.87 to 2.5 flat. He led the NFL in completion percentage and success rate on quick throws in this regular season. Back in the Super Bowl in 2022, he was 13 of 13, 72 yards and two touchdowns on those quick throws. That's how, I mean, he just diced up the Eagles defense in that game.
Starting point is 00:52:47 He's happy playing that way. And so for me, like the goal should be for the Eagles, you have got to force him to hold on to the ball as best you can. he has not been as effective when he's held the ball over two and a half seconds. It's been the worst year of his career when he has had to hold the ball late this season. So how do you do that? Disguise looks. You've got to try and limit things from a, you know, from have the press cover, those guys up at the line of scrimmage and trying to deter those early throws to the outside.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Some of them they're going to get, right? Some of them, you're going to have those little gadgety plays, the stuff underneath to Xavier Worthy. You're going to get those kind of plays here in this game plan. if you are Vic Fangio. So some of them you're not going to be able to prevent. But others, if they're running slant flat, like you've got to be able to take those throws away, those shallow crossing routes. What I would say, I mean, Mahomes has been dynamite against man-to-man coverage this season and certainly in the playoffs. That's why, I mean, Danes talked about it in the preview
Starting point is 00:53:44 last week that you guys did back home where the Buffalo Bill just came out and said, all right, in the last three quarters of this game, we're going to play a heavy dose of man-to-man coverage and not disguise it. And we're just going to line up and play man. the chiefs just picked them apart. Well, the Eagles don't play man. On third down, they don't play man. They're going to play cover four. They're going to play cover six.
Starting point is 00:54:03 And they're going to say, okay, we're going to pass things off and try and squeeze down these passing lanes. They're going to need to do that here in this one. Force him to hold on to the football. Count on your coverage to hold up. Allow Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Josh Swett, those guys to be able to get home. Actually, one of the interesting things I found in your notes was that you think of Xavier Worthy and you expect him to be this big play guy.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Yeah. Right? But you have this great number here that he averaged 11.3 air yards per target through the first 13 weeks, but averaged only 4.8 cents when he's caught 16 of 19 targets. So it seems like they're focusing on yards after the catch with him as opposed to use that 4-2-2 speed and beat everyone downfield. Yeah, a lot of that had to do with the Rishi Rice injury because Rishie Rice was like their gadget player where, hey, we're just going to find ways to get him to football, create yards after catch. That has become worthy.
Starting point is 00:54:51 And also like a lot of the shallow cross-grounds, so he had that big. play against Buffalo last week on the shallow cross on the mesh concept and so they're going to try and find ways to be able to get him the ball fast let him create and so yeah that's going to be an aspect where you can't let him run free I mean they got picked off on those mesh plays a couple of times last week in Buffalo and so that's something that certainly the eagles are going to have to make sure they account for what about Patrick Mahomes we talked about jalen Hertz and the running threat how do you account for Patrick Mahomes as a scrambler yeah he he doesn't He doesn't do it often, but he was their leading rusher last week against Buffalo, or two weeks
Starting point is 00:55:29 ago against Buffalo. And he gives you those, how did you put it before the show started? The plays that only break your back. He's only going to scramble when it kills you. Yeah, it's the back-breaking play. I mean, he had that, what did it go for, Zach? 22 yards in the Mr. Bowl in 22. And there's that great picture of Javon Hargrave, like, diving to try to get him.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Yeah. He's Dan Arlovsky. He's capable of doing that. Nice. Shout out to Dan. But I think when you're looking at what he can do in that aspect, look, the Eagles don't spy. It's not going to be a QB spy situation. They're going to play their man-to-man coverage.
Starting point is 00:56:05 They're going to play disciplined rush lanes up front. They're going to try and call some stunts to try and say, all right, well, if Nolan Smith slants inside, you know, maybe we have Jalen Carter looping outside, and now Mahomes is going to roll into that. So I think you'll see some of that in this game, especially on third down. But that's what you're trying to prevent is, you know, Patrick Mahomes creating that, that backbreaking play. to create the X factor there down the field with his legs. If you're superstitious or even a little stitious, here's this one nugget.
Starting point is 00:56:32 The last time I was, the golden nugget, if you will. The last time I was on a television set with, well, on a set, with Dan Orlovsky the Thursday before our Super Bowl, the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Is he technically on set yet, though? Well, once, this is our, this is our set. So once he goes to the DNVR set, he's technically on our set. He hasn't crossed the threshold yet.
Starting point is 00:56:51 So, yeah. So we'll have to wait. We'll have to wait. That is a nice little superstitious nugget there. We do thank you if you are among those who are checking out this fine episode on television, on fast, if you will. Make sure that you check out the rest on all phtly.com, including the stunning conclusion to swooper soarcasting. We also transition to the Game Ball presented by Xfinity Mobile. Game Ball is proudly brought to you by our friends at Xfinity Mobile.
Starting point is 00:57:20 join the millions and millions who have switched to one of the fastest growing mobile services. Eagles defense, Chiefs offense. I think we've talked enough about Jalen Carter and Milton Williams. Yeah. Give me someone else who you think could be worthy of a game ball. Xavier worthy of a game ball. Ooh. Is that your answer?
Starting point is 00:57:41 No. For the defense. For the Eagles defense. For the Eagles defense. No, it doesn't have to be the front. Oh, okay. Got it. But could be Nolan Smith.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Could be Cooper de Gene. If you were to lay turkeys on it, I mean, I feel like Zach Bonn is the guy, right? That's what Malcolm Jenkins said. Yeah, I feel like it would be Zach Bonn would be the one that, I mean, he's come up with, he came up with turnovers in the previous game against Washington, the big put where it's sack in the quarterback, forcing fumbles, getting hands on footballs and coverage, which, by the way, both quarterbacks, I put a stat in there in the preview that both of these quarterbacks are just not throwing picks.
Starting point is 00:58:17 They've both gone over 200 past attempts without throwing an interception. I believe it's the first time in Super Bowl history that that has happened, where you had two guys on that kind of a street going in. So, yeah, this is, I would go Zach Bond. How about you, Zach Berman? So I'm wondering, are we going to see maybe more Cooper to Jean against Kelsey in this game? And I don't know if that's the case, but that is something I'm paying attention to. I think when the Chiefs are in 12, you will.
Starting point is 00:58:47 and I think it's why the Chiefs will not play as much 12. I think they will play more 11 because of that. To try and take Cooper away from Kelsey. And try to get blanket chip on them. Or CJ Gardner-Jolson. Yeah, something to watch. Just the thing. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:59:01 That's a good point. But I'm going to go Cooper to Gene here. They do love the multiple tight-end sets. They do it at a higher rate than basically anybody. Yeah, they are weirdly into Noah Gray. Wow. No. Gray is taking an absolute bullet between the eyes. Wow.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Let's see what the Noah gray right up is here. Unbelievable. Yeah. You think he's a nice player. Noah, I guess gray is already pretty bad. No, but you, gray is your favorite color. So for you, this is more Noah pink. Well, interestingly, they took Jared Wiley early on and he got hurt.
Starting point is 00:59:34 But Jared Wiley was, he was the tight end that I liked. What's up, Dan? Let's go, man. See you. Here you go. It's up, Dan. Nice to see you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:45 There he is. How about that? Now you get him on this. Now that's, yeah. But I got to say there. That was my Cooper de Gene moment. That was my Cooper to Gene re-blanketship moment.
Starting point is 00:59:55 He was coming over to say hi to Fran. Oh, yeah, he was. This is how I'll feel when Zach goes to say hi to Dave Brewer of combat. I got up to extend my hand. That was for Fran there. So that was. Yeah, that was Cooper de Gene and Reblanketship thinking that LeBron was coming over to say hi to them.
Starting point is 01:00:12 And you remember? Like, Cooper took the hand out of the pocket? Yeah, it was good. understand the reference. Oh, okay. This is very late. It's very delayed. But Noah Pink is also the way that you would describe Zach's wardrobe.
Starting point is 01:00:25 No pink. No pink. There is no, I don't own anything pink. So that is how you describe his a wardrobe. Yeah. Noah Pink? No, oh, yeah. My a wardrobe?
Starting point is 01:00:37 Uh. You're accounting for the uh. Okay. Okay. What about those beautiful pink slippers that? the lovely listeners, I suppose. Yeah, those are in my house. I suppose.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Would you throw them out? No. Light them on fire? Are you a monster? No, they are there. They are there and I have worn them. So I appreciate that. Have you really worn them?
Starting point is 01:01:03 Yes. Yes, I have. I mean, you heard how high up that voice went. I got dry throat. Yes. Yeah. No, look, I don't wear them frequently, but I do have them and I appreciate them. And I'm so grateful for all our listeners and viewers.
Starting point is 01:01:15 Okay. How about the Eagles run defense? I really do think like this, the Chiefs are just going to abandon the run in this game. They're not going to run the ball in the Eagles, right? Yeah, really, to me, like an underrated part of their win in the 2022 Super Bowl was their fact. I mean, Isaiah Pacheco, they were really able to run. He ran really well. We talked about the Mahomes, but to me, their ability to run the football really kept them on schedule. I don't think they're going to be able to run the ball with that level of success.
Starting point is 01:01:45 There was a number. There were a few numbers, honestly, that support that. Kansas City running backs, this is from Next Gen stats. Kansas City running backs record the slowest average speeded line of scrimmage and the lowest explosive run rate of any Kansas City Chiefs running back unit in the Patrick Mahomes era. This running back group has not been as good this year. They've been contacted behind the line of scrimmage at one of the highest rates in the NFL over the season, and it jumped when they made those changes along the offensive line, which we haven't quite talked about.
Starting point is 01:02:12 Basically, it was a rotating cast. of characters at left tackle. So they took Joe Tuny from left guard. They moved him in there. They inserted Caliando at left guard. After they made that change, the run game really started to suffer even more. And running back since that point, nearly half their carries have resulted in a hit behind the line of scrimmage.
Starting point is 01:02:31 Really? Yeah. I mean, that combination has not been very good at being able to create movement off the law on the left side. And so I think when you're looking at it, you know, I just think they're not going to be able to run the football against this round. And I think they know that. Yeah, I would think so.
Starting point is 01:02:47 It's going to be a lot of the quick pros. Super chat from LB908, who says a lot of talk this week, especially yesterday, comparing yourselves to other media at Radio Row. A wise man once said comparison is the thief of joy. You guys are doing a great job. Be proud of your work. Thank you. Very nice.
Starting point is 01:03:07 Guys and girls. Yeah, joy has been awesome this week. Julia, Julia. Yeah. Just another super chat. Did you see that one? Oh. No.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Graceman says, Fran, what's the coolest thing you've done? You've seen done with your draft grid slash work? Hmm. Like since I guess since it got posted on the, for the dieharts? I think it's just the feedback has been awesome that we've gotten so far. And look, I think the stuff that you just added. Yes.
Starting point is 01:03:43 That's what I was just. That is really cool. Yeah. So I spent the last couple weeks on the road. and have talked with a lot of players, I have talked with coaches, I've talked with scouts, have talked with a lot of people in the industry
Starting point is 01:03:55 about all of these prospects and taking a lot of the on the record and off the record stuff and have inserted those notes, which are exclusive to our diehards, by the way. This was not stuff from press conferences where everybody could get access to those quotes. You can only get them if you are a diehard,
Starting point is 01:04:10 so make sure you go and check out the database. But again, the feedback has been great from everybody that has checked it out. If you want to get in on it, make sure you have your access to it before the draft. Now's there's no better time right now. $3 a month. Take advantage here the rest of the day.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Last day. Do it. Get it now. Yeah, I'm, look, I'm... You moron! I'm proud of the work that, you know, like I'm doing and Charlie's doing and Kyle's doing, right? But, you know, and all of us, but the best thing we have for diehards, without a doubt, is France. It is awesome. Thank you, Zach.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Yeah. You noticed the two, right? Notice what? Left about the cold again. Once again. And Beau's doing, I was going through the, I was going, like, I'll put an Bodner there. I was going through the person doing the most writing on the beats. Like it wasn't like, it wasn't, it wasn't an anti-bow thing at all.
Starting point is 01:05:06 It was. It wasn't a pro-bo thing. Oh, man. You'd think you'd learn a lesson. Three more super chats. W-tube says superb owl. If you know, you know. Amen, my man.
Starting point is 01:05:25 Matt B. Could the Jalen Hertz straight jacket comment, actually, and this is a hefty donation, actually be a 4D chess move from Jalen and Nick to get the chiefs to prepare for a straight jacketless offense. Joking aside, thanks for the great content this season. Thank you, Matt B. Thank you, Matt B.
Starting point is 01:05:44 I mean, Matt Barkley, I imagine? Maybe. Matt Berman. It's not Matt Berman. You don't know that? I do. Matt Bowen. Oh, could be.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Love Matt Bowen. Great guy. Maybe they're a little... Matt Burke. Matt Burke. Yeah. He's busy, though. Yeah, maybe...
Starting point is 01:06:07 We don't trust our quarterback. Oh, yes, we do on the biggest stage. A little rope-a-dope. I think J-Wan wants the straight jacket off. I think J-Lan's a prideful guy. I think Jalen wants to outdo Mahomes here. I don't think Jalen just wants to win.
Starting point is 01:06:22 I think Jalen, I think in Jalen's mind, there's like this thing. You don't believe him when he says winning is all that matters. Oh, no, I think he thinks winning is all that matters. Yeah. For sure. Like, I don't think Jalen would be happy with a big game and a loss, right? I mean, I think Jalen wants to win. But I think Jalen wants to win and be like Jalen, you know, be Jalen hurts.
Starting point is 01:06:42 Be the guy. I think there's a part of Jalen that, that doesn't view this as like J.Ewan hurts for his Patrick Mahomes. He views this as like Patrick Mahomes is playing me, right? So, yeah, I think Jailen wants the straight jacket off here. And I think for the reasons that Bowes put really well, that like the chiefs are going to be committed to taking out Saquan Berkeley, the Eagles have A.J. Brown.
Starting point is 01:07:07 The Eagles have Devante Smith. And I think there's going to be an emphasis on like Jailon. If you get those matchups, get the ball to AJ, get the ball to Devante. Last super chat from Rob, who says, who has the edge in special teams? Huge factor in 2022. Obviously, the big Cadarius Tony return, changed the tide a little bit. The numbers tell us it's a pretty even matchup. Chiefs over the course of the season, 12th overall in special teams, DVOA,
Starting point is 01:07:33 Eagles 14th. The one place that the Eagles struggled, as you would expect, if you break it down by the different components of special teams, was on field goals. And so I do think that, that is a, you know, I think all Eagles fans are a little bit worried about the season that Jake Elliott has had and what that might mean in this game. Yeah, I have had some numbers here. Yeah, so Harrison Butker and Jake Elliott are two of five kickers.
Starting point is 01:08:00 Harrison Butcutt. Yes, that have made at least five field goals in Super Bowl history. Elliott has made five of five in the Super Bowl, three of three in Super Bowl 52, two of two in the last Super Bowl against the Chiefs. they've both made the most field goals in the playoffs since 2017. So an interesting kicker matchup, obviously we know about the issues that Jake has had. But indoors, maybe it's levels out a little bit. There you go. Can we talk to Jake this week, Zach?
Starting point is 01:08:29 Just casually saying hello. But talk to him last week, did not talk to him in the things this week. I mean, admittedly, Jake's one of those guys I can get just about any time. I don't say anytime. Jake's one of those guys. Alex. No, who at the facility, you can get. Jake, I can't get the assistant coaches as often as I can this week. So my focus really
Starting point is 01:08:50 was the assistant coaches. Okay. You think the Eagles are going to be able to turn this team over? The Chiefs offense? Yeah. I mean, it's, you know, yeah. How to analyze that is silly, but like, it's obviously a huge part of the game. They've had so many forced turnovers the past couple weeks, past couple games. Like, can they do it against this team that protects the ball pretty well? I think that it'd say this game could be one where it's like whoever, makes the most mistakes loses. I think to me, though, the bigger one is the Chiefs have been awesome on third down. Mahomes has been money on third down.
Starting point is 01:09:24 They extend drives extremely, extremely well. When they get in the red zone, they have not been all that successful. And the Eagles defense has been good in the red zone this year. And again, when you get into these one game samples and every possession matters, just like that opening drive against Washington and Jaden Daniels, 17 plays, and they have to settle for three. are the Eagles able to do that on a couple of those drives? That could have a huge, huge impact on the game. Yeah, this goes to what Danes was telling us about last week,
Starting point is 01:09:52 that, you know, they have a good offense, but like all the numbers paint the picture of an offense that is not explosive on their series conversion rate on first down, 24th in the league, only 16th on second down. Yep. But if you do just buy third or fourth down, do they get a first down, they're eighth in the league. And so they do play that way.
Starting point is 01:10:09 They play for being able to convert on third and short. That's the way that they want to play and feel the most comfortable playing. And so it's also the way that the Eagles defense kind of wants them to play. Right. But that's the way the Eagles defense wants everybody to play. But the chiefs are comfortable playing that way. Right. That's why like that's kind of why I feel like the band is narrow here.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Because it's like they're both going to play a game that the other expects and invites. Right. Whereas I think the other side is much more about dictating terms. Right. And so that's why the matchup is so fun. Because it's really, to me, it's like, it's good on good on both sides of it. And so it's going to come down to like, all right, like, who makes the play when they need to? Rank the 24 Eagles, 23-9ers, 22 Eagles.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Overall, like as a team? Like, yeah, like which one's the tough? No, the toughest matchup for the Chiefs. I was actually, I was thinking about asking Nick, write that question. Okay. Got away from us. All right, let me ask. I think this team is better than the 22 team.
Starting point is 01:11:12 You're taking it. I don't think Jalen is playing at as high level. Are you taking into context the quality of the chiefs in those years? No, just like, yeah, just the challenge of the team they're playing. Like, is this the best team the chiefs are seeing in that three-peat? I think so. Trying to think more of the context of the Niners last year. I do think this is better than the 22.
Starting point is 01:11:34 Same. I agree. I agree. I think so, too. I think this is probably is. Yeah. Look, I think if the Eagles win, I mean, they'll go down as, as like, one of the great teams in recent history.
Starting point is 01:11:47 If you consider that they, just the role they went on after the buy, the way they won the NFC championship game, right? Yeah. Don't quote me on this. I'm pretty sure I saw it when I was doing my research, that they would be the first team to finish number one in rushing and number one in defense and not win the Super Bowl. I believe that's right.
Starting point is 01:12:07 I believe that's right. I read an interesting quote the other day. Fran Duffy said if they don't win, they would be the first team in NFL history to not win the Super Bowl despite being first and rushing and first in defense. So you've used that step? No, you said don't quote me.
Starting point is 01:12:22 Oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh. Last thing. You got your laughing. Last thing, I mean, that absolutely did not deserve a laugh, Julia. Yeah, I mean, come on. I think she's loopy, too, so it's incredible. Yeah, there's no doubt about it. Uh, last thing here to get your temperature on
Starting point is 01:12:37 is game management. Yeah. How comfortable do you feel about Nick Siriani going to-to-to-to-to with Andy Reid in this game. I mean, look, Andy has not been the beacon of great game management either over the course of his career, certainly. That said, I still probably feel better just because, you know, you know Mahomes drives a lot of that now. He's got the gene. Yeah, and so, yeah, I would say that that's, I mean, that's, and honestly, a lot of the conversations I've had with people this week and last week about the game was, all right, like, the Eagles have a better roster.
Starting point is 01:13:11 The Eagles have a better depth chart. the Eagles have a better team, the chiefs have a better coach and quarterback. Yeah. And is that enough? We said the same thing in 2022, though, and obviously that was enough. Yeah. But Zach, I believe it was you, I forget which show it was this week, last week, when we were talking about learning, you know, Siriani learning from mistakes from the,
Starting point is 01:13:30 from the previous Super Bowl and saying he's not going to go down, not swinging. Well, yeah, that my point was, I think Howie and Lori are going to make sure he doesn't go down, not swinging. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Is everybody ready? Let's do it.
Starting point is 01:13:45 I think the McAfee show might cut in for this one. Yeah, I hope so. We have signs for the Macafie people, by the way. This one says, there's a reason it's not IQ Shipley. This one says, Telikoboli, we said hi. And then this one says, AJ, why the long face? For those that don't know, the McAfee show, came to the show to someone
Starting point is 01:14:13 one of these cameras came down and peeked in on the show yesterday. Yeah, tuck and smack on less and Zach. I was flattered. Compared me to Fieldy Yates. Oh yeah, we did talk about that. Good looking guy, Fieldy Yates. It accomplished. That's right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:29 Okay. The NFC championship game results of super sarcastic. I only had two items. Either team converts a non-scramble run on third and 11 plus did not hit. And the Josh Harris trifecta of losses occurs over the course of the weekend did not hit. The Sixers, I believe, beat the Bulls in that game. So I got zero.
Starting point is 01:14:53 Zach had Zach Bonn has a forced fumble, fumble recovery, or interception. Bang. The Eagles convert more fourth downs than the commanders did not happen. A player from either team finishes with exactly 76 yards from scrimmage. Will Shipley had seven. 77, Zach. So close. One off. It's ridiculous. But it did not hit.
Starting point is 01:15:16 X and Y will combine for fewer than 100 receiving yards. Fran and I chose A.J. Brown and Terry McLaurin. So this did not hit. Jake Elliott does not miss a field goal or an extra point. Did not hit. But Zacherts has more than four catches and 47.75 yards, his postseason average at the link. That was a big hit. Huge game for Zach for Zach.
Starting point is 01:15:37 Wow, that's interesting. Both of your hits were Zach's. we work together. Wow. And two for Zach. Fran, who went big, had the Eagles have at least as many completions of 20 plus yards as the commanders. And for about two weeks, you thought you had hit this. So when DeNiz shared the results last night, this was late on Wednesday night. It was after midnight, central time. I was finished my notes. I was getting ready to go to bed. I get the notification on my phone. and I see it and I'm like, wait a minute, I hit this one. I was counting during the game.
Starting point is 01:16:14 The Eagles had the same amount. And I texted Danaz. I was like, are you sure about this? And he responded right back. He's like, oh, no, let me go double check. And he went and double checked. And sure enough, the play that I did not account for, that cost me the point in this one, the fake punt. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. giving up the catch in the fake punt was an explosive play.
Starting point is 01:16:32 And so Washington, yeah, that cost me. And so you also did not hit either team gets a sack on a play while they are, deploying a stunt. You did hit on the Eagles will score at least X points in the game. That was 31 points. That was a big over. And you got the Eagles win, but you paid 25 turkeys for it. You did not hit the bonus item that the Super Bowl opponent would be the bills.
Starting point is 01:16:54 And so this was a tie between Zach and Fran. And that sets up a delightful finale. On the season, Zach has 6.83 total points. 7.83. Fran has 10.33, and the Super Bowl win is worth five points. So, if any of us have a solo win in the Super Bowl, that person will be crowned the Super Sourcasting Champion. If there's a tie between me and Zach, then there will be a tie at the top between you and me, Fran. I don't know what the tiebreaker is. I'm down by two and a half. We'll have to figure that out. And we enter the final arena with turkeys as the following. Fran has only
Starting point is 01:17:50 seven turkeys. Zach has 25, Bo has 38. And the order this week will go Zach, then Bo, then Fran, then the professor. Right. Also worth noting, before we get into it, there is no carrying over turkeys in the final game of the season. So keep that in mind. Zach, you get to go first. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:19 My theme is things that could go better from, or things they could improve upon from the last one. That's a good theme. Thank you. I appreciate that. So number one, Gellon Hertz does not lose a fumble. And the bidding starts at one. Two.
Starting point is 01:18:38 Three. Three. Three, friend. Four. Five. Five. Is that a back? Have to Zach.
Starting point is 01:18:49 Seven to go. Eight. Zach. Nine. Ten. And Zach? Eleven. Yours.
Starting point is 01:19:07 And just like that, our turkey disparity is all but wiped out. Jalen Hertz does not lose a fumble. That's a good one, though. What's the count? right now? I'm at 27. Zach's at 25. You are still at 7. What was your number there? I didn't have one.
Starting point is 01:19:23 Okay. All right. Would you have gone 13 if I did 12? I'll never know. Nor will you. Alright. All right. Here is my first submission.
Starting point is 01:19:35 Neither all nor none of the following five things will happen. Okay, so the idea that I'm going to give you a list of five things. I don't have a screen here. And you are either all... betting that somewhere between one and four of these things are going to happen. At least one is going to happen, but not all of them. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:55 Make sense? Yeah. Okay. These are the five items. Any kick hits the upright or the crossbar. That's item number one. Number two, there is a 50-plus-yard Sequin Barclay touchdown. It does not have to be a run, but it has to be a 50-plus-yard touchdown.
Starting point is 01:20:15 There is a mirror play in the game. A what? A mirror play. A mirror play is when... 49 to 41. 49 to the other side of the 50 to the 50. Got it. Got it.
Starting point is 01:20:26 A two-yard gain from the 49-yard line. Yep. Got it. There is a non-tush-push quarterback touchdown. Okay. Okay. And finally, points are scored in the game at any point with zeros on the clock. So at the end of any quarter, points are scored.
Starting point is 01:20:48 Okay. Any kick hits the crossbar upright. 50 plus Saquan touchdown, mirror play, non-tush push QB touchdown, points are scored with zeros in the clock. Yes. Got it. And that you are bidding that one to four of those items hit over the course of the game. But not all.
Starting point is 01:21:04 And I will start the bidding at three. Four. Five. Six. Six is a back. Seven. Seven to bow. Seven to bow going once.
Starting point is 01:21:23 Eight. H. Jack. Each is that going once. I'll say nine. Nine of bow. Nine of bow. Two years.
Starting point is 01:21:34 twice. All right. I'm down to 18. 18. You got two items. Yep. All right. We're in business.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Okay. I'll go with my first one. A non-quarterback wins MVP at the game. So anybody but Jalen Hertz, Patrick Wilhelms or Tanner McKee. You said it. We're crossing once. We're crossing west. Wins MVP at the game.
Starting point is 01:22:11 Well, now. It's important, we have to mention this now, because there could be some insider trading here, Fran. You are not aware of this. But you are sitting in the presence of a confirmed Super Bowl MVP voter. I didn't know that. This is Brits is new. Since when? A few hours ago.
Starting point is 01:22:28 Wow. Yeah. Wow. Look at the smirk on that face. I get the smile as he buttons up. So he can get your sleep so you can make a good decision on Sunday. He could swing the outcome of this. I will sleep Saturday night, trust me.
Starting point is 01:22:40 I'm Advil P.M. Saturday night. That sound you hear is all of the listeners and viewers of this show sprinting to their Bet365 account to lay money on Josh Sweat as Super Bowl MVP. No, no, no, no, in all honesty. This is not a joking matter. The integrity is utmost for this. Is this the biggest thing that you've been a voter for? I voted the last time. Did you vote for the last time? Yeah, I voted last time too. Yeah, also his votes really aren't taken into account for the Osprey. otherwise that would obviously.
Starting point is 01:23:12 Right. Yeah. Anything to do with the show, my votes aren't taken into account. Well, we'll start the bidding at one. Non-QB. Non-QB. Two. Three. Three.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Four. Four to friend. Four to friend. Four to bring. Four to bring. Five. Oh. Have to free.
Starting point is 01:23:45 I have to fring going once. I have to frang going twice. I am abstaining from this one. Ah. Oh. Yeah. The Integrity Master. No, seriously, I am abstaining from this one.
Starting point is 01:23:58 Yeah. Yeah. That doesn't really change anything because you're still affecting the outcome. No, like, I'm, trust me, I, every aggregator should know. I understand that, but just because you're not, you will still have an incentive to, to weigh that one way or the other based on how a swooper is like. No, because I, look, I think, and Bo will be next to me in the press box. Like, I will, I will say, who do we think shit? now Beau might actually have
Starting point is 01:24:25 but no I I will like I won't have like a non-obvious choice nobody believes that you are going to affect you know not do what you think is a correct answer thank you appreciate that all right let's go to the first Danes submission Fran down to two turkeys
Starting point is 01:24:42 okay one one sec just gonna pop my camera on to say hi Julia have a little love for Julia in the chat please what a week it's been throw a thumbs up on the video if you can, if you haven't already. Okay, this is a reverse Dutch auction, started zero, count up until two people yell
Starting point is 01:25:03 swooper out. Okay. The item is, Jalen Hertz scrambles for more first downs than Patrick Mahomes. And it has to be scrambles. It's not designed runs. Okay. So last one, standing wins. Jalen Hertz scrambles for more than Mahomes.
Starting point is 01:25:21 Okay. Ready? Wait, real quick. It has to be more. scrambles for more first downs than Patrick Mahars. But we're considering run scrambles, right? No. Oh, not all runs, a scramble.
Starting point is 01:25:35 Yep. So if it's QB counter. Interesting. Okay, so the quarterback sneaks don't count. Cubby snacks don't count. Correct. Coups snacks don't count. Okay.
Starting point is 01:25:44 Okay. You ready? There's Julia. Look at Julia on the video. There you go. Yep. All right. All right.
Starting point is 01:25:52 You have to count up. Yeah. Okay. Zero. One. Two. Three. Four.
Starting point is 01:26:01 Super out. So what I get for four or five? I think you get it for four, actually. Yeah, for four? Okay. I should let it go longer, but I didn't really want that one. None of it did I, but I need to get in the game, bro. Bruh.
Starting point is 01:26:19 All right, let's go to round two. There's some ways, bro. Been hanging around the center longer. All right, bro. You're up next, my man. Um, all right. God, took me up something fun, bro.
Starting point is 01:26:39 All right. You know, bazuki with that Advil PM on Saturday night. Myself. Um. Let's go, bro, bro. I'm trying to. I said this to Joy. Did I send it in the All-City one?
Starting point is 01:26:52 Oh, oh, wait. Hold on. Did you want to pull it up? Yeah, did I send it in? You know, learn out of work your technology, right? Sorry, I sent it in all city. No. Well, no.
Starting point is 01:26:59 Because in the PHOI, the last two messages, no, the last two messages to Joya and the PHI one is to see, you know, I'm here waiting. So. What, me? Yeah, probably when you were like a mid-show. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. You always know.
Starting point is 01:27:27 All right. Number two here. The Eagles go for it on fourth and three plus in their own territory. Ooh. So including three. Including three. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:40 I'll start the bidding at two. At any point in the game. Any point in the game. Three. Four. What is that? Five. Six.
Starting point is 01:28:00 Is that going once? Is that going twice? For six, right? Yes. Where are we out with Talley? 15 for Zach. 18 for me, two for you. All right, my next submission.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Eagles' sacks, Eagles total sacks, is greater than the combined receptions of any Eagles player who is not A.J. Brown, Sequin, Barclay, Dallas, God, or Devante Smith. So the Eagles' sacks is greater than Eagles' receptions by the non-Big Four. And I will start the bidding at two. Two to a bow. Two going once. Three. Three to Zach.
Starting point is 01:29:01 Four. What a bell? Five. Five to Zach. Five to Zach going once. Five to that going twice. Six. Oh, six to bow.
Starting point is 01:29:19 Six to bow going once. Not equal to. Just greater. Greater. Two to go going twice. Seven. Seven to Zach. Seven to Zach.
Starting point is 01:29:35 Seven to sack. You got it. Sold. All right. Right next one Nick Siriani is caught with a tear on his face during the anthem Start the bidding at two
Starting point is 01:29:55 Hold on Does it have to escape his eyes It's on his face, yes, it has to escape his eyes Okay, so it's teary eyes does not count But if it's in the concave of the eye If it has a eye contained Yep, if it escapes the lashes The yoke has broken, yep
Starting point is 01:30:12 Okay Then it counts. Now what if you notice, what if they pan late and you see that his eyes are wet, his face is wet, but you don't see the tears. We will need to see the glistening on the face. Julia is the final judge. bidding starts at two.
Starting point is 01:30:35 Two to a friend. Two to a friend going once? Do you the friend going twice? Great to have so much action riding on the national anthem. That's big. You know what? It's a Super Bowl. These are the things I want exactly right.
Starting point is 01:30:55 Go to. I'm happy. Thanks for letting me have it. Okay. All right, we go to Danes. Cs, tears of exhaustion. His body can't produce tears right now. It's working hard enough to just to keep him alive.
Starting point is 01:31:08 No, I'm going to. I'm on Tyler Dunn's podcast next shout out to Tyler. Oh, they'll be electric. Geez. I'm on number eight. Wow. Ouch, Tyler, taking a straight. No, not him.
Starting point is 01:31:23 No, I'm saying that's why I was looking at my phone. Normal auction. Then the winner completes. a sentence, X and Y combined for over 140 receiving yards. Oh, geez, 140. And who picks X and Y? So a winner of the item can choose X and Y to be any two players in the game, but they must, and this is underlined, they must be from the same team.
Starting point is 01:31:45 Oh, okay. So X and Y combined for over 140 receiving yards. Winner of the item chooses X and Y to be any two players in the game, and they must be from the same team. Okay. Who starts bidding? Normal auction Whoever wants to
Starting point is 01:32:01 One Three Four Four What is that Five Six Six
Starting point is 01:32:10 Six is that going once Seven Eight Eight seven You got it All right Devante Smith A.J. Brown And I'm out
Starting point is 01:32:28 Yeah so I get every item remaining Jeez And there are four items Remaining So what's your What's your next item? My next item
Starting point is 01:32:40 I'm actually changing it now No, man must have integrity. The Eagles don't get flagged for defensive holding. No flagged the entire game for defensive holding? Yes. Now, what about accepted versus not accepted? No, it doesn't matter. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:59 So if they get called for defensive holding, but it's declined, that still counts? It has to be accepted. Yeah, has to be accepted. So they're not penalized. There's not an accepted penalty. They're not penalized. Yes. There you go.
Starting point is 01:33:14 Okay. Yeah, that's better. They're not, yeah, there's no defensive holding penalties. Okay. My next one was the final score of the game. You know how there are four integers? It is not two odds and two evens. So essentially, like if it's 27, 25, that would not count.
Starting point is 01:33:42 It has to be 3322. That would not count. But 3332 would count. So the four integers of the final score are not equal in odds and evens. Sure. I was thinking I wanted to change that one, but I didn't have time, and so that's what I had.
Starting point is 01:34:07 All right, Fred. The game is decided with a score in the final final 60 seconds. Oh, okay. Now that means game is decided. Yeah. We're saying that it's either tied or someone takes the lead. Yes.
Starting point is 01:34:26 Okay. Not that the Eagles are up by three touchdowns. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The game is decided or six to nine. Right. Okay. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:34:35 And what's our final, what's our final day and is? The Eagles win the game? Yeah, yeah, good draw this week, Bo. Items 12 and 13. Oh, baby. Yes. They are simultaneous sealed bid. Wait, but he didn't bid.
Starting point is 01:34:50 Sealed bid, multi-unit auction. All players place simultaneous sealed bids on each of the two items at the same time, specifying which bid is for which item. The total of the players, two bids cannot exceed the number of turkeys they have remaining. There is no more future from which to borrow. Item 12. Wow, so anticlimactic. Okay.
Starting point is 01:35:09 Eagles win. The Eagles win by eight or less. Okay. And then item 13, the Eagles win by nine or more. Okay, I'm going to bid 14 on the Eagles win by eight or less and one on the Eagles win by nine or more. So either way, he's getting the point there. Well, if the Eagles win.
Starting point is 01:35:36 She's our favorite. She's our favorite. All right. So there we go. The final tally, Fran, a non-quarterback wins MVP. Now, hold on. This is their primary position. So like if Travis Kelsey throws a pass in the game.
Starting point is 01:35:53 Is he a tight, is he a quarterback? I'm just, and Nick Siriani has tears shown on the broadcast during the National Anthem. Yeah. Zach has Jalen Hertz scrambles for more first downs than Patrick Mahomes. The Eagles attempt a fourth and three plus in their own territory. The Eagles have more sacks than catches combined by Eagles. who were not Devante Smith, A.J. Brown, Dallas Goddard, and Sequin Barclay, and Devante Smith and
Starting point is 01:36:23 AJ Brown combined for at least 140 receiving yards. I still think that's a good slate, Zach. I think, yeah, a good slate. A tie is very possible, as well as you just winning outright. It's a good slate, but I'll watch the tape to see if I handled it the right way. I just didn't want to go down to the last few items with turkeys and not, you know, really know what to do. Yeah, I think you will regret blowing your wand that early. And I had...
Starting point is 01:36:51 You got your laughing again. If there is a tie, if there is a tie, I'd wait now, right? Julia, get your mind out of the gutter. The man needs to blow his wand. If there's a tie, then you and I would tie. Then you and I would tie. Then you and I don't know. Oh, man, that would be great.
Starting point is 01:37:07 Yeah, that's very possible. Yeah, that would be awesome. I have Jalen Hertz does not lose a fumble. I have that poop-poop platter of five items. between one and four of them happens. The Eagles are not called and accepted for a defensive holding.
Starting point is 01:37:21 The final score integer dumbness. The game is decided in the final 60 seconds and the Eagles win by between one and eight and the Eagles win by nine plus. What are you last? Khalif wanted to give Chris a shout out. He said, got to give Chris's flowers.
Starting point is 01:37:38 Dude has been unpacking and packing something back by our show. That's really good. Dynamic. Really good stuff. All right, Fran. You made it. Fran, you had a great two weeks.
Starting point is 01:38:05 Thanks, man. I think you had a great three weeks. Three weeks. Yeah, two and change. Two and change. Yeah. Seriously. It's awesome.
Starting point is 01:38:11 Thank you. Get home. Hug your wife. Kiss your kids. Do you want to go on the record with a prediction? We'll save it for a pregame show. Yeah, pregame show, which, again, will be an hour, myself, Jamie Lynch. I think Richard Hoffman as well.
Starting point is 01:38:23 And Rich, beautiful. Handsome Rich in the building. So it'll be fun. We'll do an hour before the game. And I'm sure we'll hear from probably it'll be on the books at all. We'll hear from Zach, but then Bo will appear. Yeah, probably. I think if it's that long, then you could probably just schedule.
Starting point is 01:38:37 Let you guys up. Yeah, it's a good idea. I'm still going to want to crash is, but. Yeah. Yeah. You can bet that happening. Looking forward to it. All right.
Starting point is 01:38:49 Thank you very much, everybody, for watching this episode. Remember, we've got another one coming in just a little bit over three hours. So for Fran Duffy and everything he's done for us and for Nick Siriani's butt cut, we thank you for watching and listening. We will talk to you in a little bit. And as always, we love you.
